The morning of July 19 started just like any other for a garbage truck driver from Michigan. Little did he know, however, that the day would end up in the most unexpected manner and that he would be dubbed a hero by the members of his community.
Namely, as this Granger Waste Services’ employee was doing his job, he noticed something moving inside the trash collection. As he took a closer look, he spotted a terrified dog among the debris.
He took the fragile animal in his hands and saved her life. Had it not been for this man, the dog could have suffered a horrific death.
Facebook/Granger Waste Services
One thing that neither he, nor the organization that took the animal under their care could understand was how did the poor creature end up there. That particular route was for commercial-grade dumpsters, which meant the dog experienced quite an ordeal before being rescued.
Capital Area Humane Society shared the incredible rescue story on their Facebook page, writing: “It is almost unbelievable that she endured being transferred from a dumpster, into a garbage truck, and then, endured the journey and the unloading process.”
Currently, the Ingham County Animal Control is investigating the case. Luckily, the dog recovered from the injuries, but due to the ongoing investigation, she can’t be put up for adoption just yet.
We are so thankful to the driver who saved the dog and hope she will be able to find a loving family in the near future.
Simone Biles being part of the Tokyo Olympics is just another gem in her career’s crown of glory. This time, with her decision to withdraw from the competition, she became sort of a spokesperson for the importance of the mental health. “It’s been a long week. It’s been a long Olympic process. It’s been a long year. Just a lot of different variables and I think we’re just a little bit too stressed out, but we should be out here having fun and sometimes that’s not the case,” she said after announcing her withdrawal, as per USA Today.
At only 24, Biles has already accomplished a lot. During the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016, she got three golden medals and a bronze and helped put gymnastics on the pedestal.

Biles’ life hasn’t always been easy. As a young child, she and her sisters were part of the foster system before their grandparents could adopt them. Her grandmother Nellie, whom the star calls ‘mom,’ has always been very supportive of Biles’ dreams. “She encourages me and never lets me feel down about something for too long,” Biles told CNN.
In her Facebook series Simone vs. Herself, she spoke of the time she and her siblings were taken from their mother and then given to their grandparents.
“I don’t remember a lot about foster care, but I definitely knew that we had been taken from our biological mom and then you just think you’re going to go back to her,” she wrote. “[Me and my siblings] were very fortunate that we actually got to stay with our siblings because a lot of the time you either get regrouped from home to home to home or you and your siblings get split up.”

Biles’ fell in love with gymnastics “by accident,” or better said after a serendipitous encounter with the equipment used in the sport that would help her reach for the stars. Namely, as part of the daycare program she attended when she was just 6, they were supposed to go on a trip to a farm, but after the weather went bad, they were taken to a tumbling gym instead.
“The minute I got inside Bannon’s, I saw all kinds of equipment made for just my size – low beams and low bars and floor vaults that I was eager to try,” she wrote in her book Courage to Soar.
“I watched a gymnast do a back handspring skill on the vault, and I immediately wanted to try out the same move on the kiddie springboard. I let loose, going from one apparatus to the other, trying to copy skills I saw the older gymnasts practicing in the gym.”
Shutterstock
At the age of 13, Biles was spending more than 16 hours a day at the gym practicing. She even decided to be home schooled in order to be able to practice more hours.
Biles made her international debut at the American Cup in 2013 and the rest is history. That same year, Biles won her two first World Championships.

Although she has a number of commitments she needs to answer to, our superstar still finds the time for love. Biles is dating 26-year-old Jonathan Owens, an NFL player for the Houston Texas. The two met through the dating app Raya. At the time they started chatting, Owens claimed he had no idea who Biles was.
“I didn’t know who she was,” he told Texas Monthly. “I just hadn’t heard of her, and when I told her that, that’s one of the things she liked.”
“He would say I slid into his DMs,” Biles told Wall Street Journal Magazine. “I saw him and I was like, ‘Oh, he’s pretty cute,’ so I said hi … and then I saw that he was in the Houston area, so we started chatting a little bit, and then we went to hang out a week or two later.”
Instagram/jonathanowens
Couple of weeks into dating, Biles’ sister invited Owens to a family lake house. Her family liked him very much.
“We ended up hanging out right before the pandemic,” Owens said. “It was one of the few times in her life where everything was just shut off and she couldn’t do anything. So we used it to get to know each other — really get to know each other. It created our bond and made it stronger.”
Biles and Owens have been together for over a year now and he says they are a match made in Heaven.
“He’s a real man. I just, I love him,” Biles told Today. “We have a great time together. Our personalities match right up. We have the same sense of humor. And he’s just great. He’s an athlete, too, so we really understand each other and I think that’s why our relationship has been seamless.”
We believe these two make an awesome couple. We wish them only the best.
What happens when two enormous sea lions decide to spend the day sailing instead of swimming? One of the most hilarious videos of animals there are, I’d say. Now if you wonder how is it even possible for sea lions to sail, just hear this man’s incredible story. And yes, there’s a proof of it, because who would believe him if he said he spotted these hilarious creatures on a boat.
Instagram/ fishingjosh
It all started when Joshua Phillips, a former professional football player, was at open sea enjoying the day in his boat. In the distance, he noticed quite an unusual sight and that’s when he decided to approach closer and take his camera out.
“The vessel looked a little off, and we got closer and closer and realized there were two massive animals on board,” Phillips wrote on Instagram.
Instagram/ fishingjosh
The sea lions, who were way bigger than what most of us have ever seen, are having the time of their life and enjoy the joyride in the Eld Inlet, not far from Olympia, Washington. If you want to know how huge they really are, just take a closer look at the boat they “stole” and you’ll notice the back of it is almost completely under the waterline.
However, as much as love watching these cute creatures having fun, we can only hope there weren’t any people stuck inside the cabin.
Instagram/ fishingjosh
The best part is when a third sea lion tries to join his friends on the ride but they won’t allow it climb. Honestly, it’s not that they are not friendly, but there wasn’t really much space for another huge animal to climb on.
If you want to see the incredible sight yourself just scroll down for the video. You are going to love it, that’s for sure.
The charm late Robin Williams was able to enchant the audience with is immeasurable. His incredible acting and his vibrant personality helped him become one of the most loved actors and humans who have ever walked this Earth.
Unfortunately, behind his captivating spirit and smile, he was facing his struggles and was fighting his demons.
July 21 marked what would have been Williams’ 70 birthday and his son Zak decided to open up about the life without his loving father by his side. “Dad, on what would be your 70th birthday, I would want you to know that your incredible spirit lives within us,” 38-year-old Zak wrote on Instagram. “Our family will be celebrating you and your memory today. We miss you and love you always!”
Today would be 70. Missing you especially much today. Love you always evermore. pic.twitter.com/Evc7uW48eS
During the last years of his life, Williams’ health started to fail. The man who could memorize thousands of lines without making a single mistake, started having troubles remembering on set. Unfortunately, that frustrated him a great deal and led to anxiety. “It was a period for him of intense searching and frustration,” Zak said speaking to Max Lugavere for the podcast The Genius Life, as reported by Fox News. “It’s just devastating.
Williams was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, but after his death, the autopsy revealed he had Lewy Body Dementia (LBD), a neurological disease in which protein deposits, called Lewy bodies, develop in nerve cells in the brain regions involved in thinking, memory and movement (motor control). According to an article by the Mayo Clinic, “people with Lewy body dementia might have visual hallucinations and changes in alertness and attention.”
Speaking of his father’s misdiagnosis, Zak said: “What he was going through didn’t match one to one [with] many Parkinson’s patients’ experience.”
Williams’ wife, Susan Schneider Williams, also opened up about the actor’s misdiagnosis. “All 4 of the doctors I met with afterwards and who had reviewed his records indicated his was one of the worst pathologies they had seen. He had about 40% loss of dopamine neurons and almost no neurons were free of Lewy bodies throughout the entire brain and brainstem,” she wrote for Neurology.

Once he became a father himself, Zak honored Robin Williams by naming his newborn son McLaurin “Mickey” Clement Williams. McLaurin was Robin Williams’ middle name.
In an episode of The Me You Can’t See, Zak revealed just how much his life resembled that of his late dad at times. “I started to realise elements of myself that were like him [Robin]. My anxiety, my bouts of depression, OCD, drugs, drinking like him.”
“It’s only in hindsight that you see ‘wow there’s a generational issue going on,'” Zak added. “I love being a parent, it’s the best thing ever. Do I see it as an opportunity to break a generational cycle? Yeah, there’s a major opportunity to show up for my son clear eyed and focused. To be there for him.”
Robin Williams, the “bold” comedian with a “kind and gentle spirit,” died of suicide in 2014. May God rest his soul. He was truly one of a kind both as an actor and as a human.
Many people dream of establishing close connection with the nature, but not many are willing to give up their lives in the crowded cities or give up all the modern utilities which facilitate our existence.
Emma, a woman who lives in the most unique earthen home we have ever seen, located in the woods of Wales, turned to the simple life; the one without electricity or any other type of modern equipment. She is completely devoted to the nature and uses running water and fire to cook her meals for which she grows her own fruits and veggies. Emma also owns chickens and goats and has fresh eggs and milk every single day.

And yes, this way of living means no rent, no neighbors, and no electricity bills.
Recently, Emma opened the doors to her home, which she built herself using only natural materials such as plaster, clay, and straw bales, to Bryce Langston of Living Big in a Tiny House. Needless to say, he was left speechless by the unique hut which many agree resembles those of The Shire in The Lord of the Rings.

Who wouldn’t want a cozy place like this?
Of course, living in the woods isn’t easy. Emma needs to carry water in the home from the nearby river and chop wood all by herself. The good thing is that she enjoys it.
Inside the 4 meter long home, there is a fireplace and huge windows with no curtains which allow natural lighting. The ceiling resembles a piece of art, and what Emma likes best about it is the sense of equality the perfectly arranged rafters give.

There are no rafts or cupboards as everything is on display and easy to access.
Outside the hut, there is a composting toilet and a bath which is heated with fire.

This is definitely the fairy-tale home for someone who loves being close to the nature to the extent Emma does.

You can take a look at the video of this perfect home below. It only cost Emma £1000 to build it.
They say that even the tiniest acts of kindness can go a long way, and the good deed one stranger did for a young man who lost a valuable belonging went viral and reminded us that we should never lose our faith in humanity.
Hunter Shamatt, a 20-year-old man from Brandon, South Dakota, headed to Vegas to his sister’s wedding and was hoping to have the best time. He did have lots of fun, but one thing made him feel very worried at the same time. Namely, Hunter lost his wallet along with $60 cash, a paycheck on $400, his debit card, and his ID. He had to borrow money from his relatives in order to be able to spend a few days in Vegas.
Speaking to The Washington Post, Hunter, who works as a carpenter, said: “It kind of sucked. I was anxious not having my ID… It being Vegas and all, I figured it was gone forever.”
To his surprise, just after he somehow managed with the plane company to return home, Hunter got a package. Inside was his wallet and a note signed with initials only. It read:
“Hunter, found this on a Frontier flight from Omaha to Denver – row 12, seat F wedged between the seat and wall. Thought you might want it back. All the best. P.S. I rounded your cash up to an even $100 so you could celebrate getting your wallet back. Have Fun!!!”
Wow! The man not only returned Hunter’s wallet, but he treated him with $40 as well.
Hunter’s mom, Janine, shared the note on her Facebook page, and they managed to track the good Samaritan down. It was a man named Todd Brown.
Hunter then sent a letter to Brown thanking him for his incredibly kind deed.
“Sir, I can’t thank you enough. What you’ve done for me is virtually unheard of.
Never in my life have I or my family witnessed such generosity. I never expected to see my wallet again, let alone with $40 more. Thank you so much, I’ve got student loans and a truck loan and it makes all the difference.”
Do you remember the summer days spent at the mall as a teenager? We may have been dirt poor, but we walked those faux-marble pathways until they were worn down. Chasing crushes, window shopping and gabbing with friends was all part of the mall-going experience.
That being said, would any of us have stopped in our teenage tracks to help an older woman in need?
Well, that’s exactly what one incredible teenager from Compton, California did while at the mall with his friends. Thankfully, his stepmother was able to capture her selfless son in the act on camera – and she shared her heartwarming footage for the world to see.
Facebook/Maria Lopez
Instead of thinking of whether his friends were watching or what any girl his age might whisper at school, 13-year-old Dashawn decided to step in and do the right thing. He put his own interests aside to help an elderly woman cross the busy mall parking lot.
After watching her stepson carry out his kind act, Maria Lopez shared the footage with the Love What Matters Facebook page.
Maria wrote:
“I dropped our son off at the mall today, and I catch this as I’m leaving. To say we are proud of the young man he is turning into is an understatement. A lady even stopped and complimented him with tears in her eyes.
It truly takes a village, and our village is beyond proud, young man!
Our son’s name is Dashawn and he is 13-years-old. I met his mom 4 years ago and we will be married for a year on August 20th. Dashawn’s father passed away when he was just a little baby and he has been raised by an amazing village comprised of his mother Nicky, grandmother Kiwanis and grandfather Charlie.”
From the time I met Dashawn, he has always been a very special and kind-hearted child. Always doing anything he can to help out the less fortunate. And all without being prompted. Needless to say, everyone in his family is extremely proud of him, but nobody is prouder than his mom…”
Facebook/Maria Lopez
“She, along with the help of her parents, Kate and Charlie, instilled in Dashawn at a very young age the value of respecting and honoring all people, but especially the elderly. On July 31st Dashawn asked if he could go to the mall with his friends. Since it was the last day of summer he was more excited than usual to hang out with his friends, knowing his weekday trips to the mall would have to come to a stop during the school year.
Fast forward to us getting to the mall. I handed him his spending money for the day, reminded him to make good choices and that I loved him and would see him in 3 hours. He said ok and he loved me too and got out the car. As I was getting ready to leave, I look up and see Dashawn talking to this elderly lady.
At first, I wasn’t sure what was going on because I was in the car and couldn’t hear the dialogue between the two. Then next thing I see is the elderly lady handing my son her bag of food and then she motioned for him to get on the other side of her. That’s when I realized what was happening. I pulled out my phone to take a picture as well as record the events so that his mom and grandparents could see what I witnessed as well.”
Dashawn didn’t have to put his own fun on hold to help this woman, but he did so without thinking twice. Clearly, Mom, Stepmom and the rest of the “village” have raised this little boy right.
He’s going to grow up to be a caring, considerate adult with a good head on his shoulders! There’s no doubt about it.

Watch another kind young man stop to help this elderly woman across the street. We need more people like them!
As they made a fresh start when they decided to step down from their royal duties and leave Britain, probably for good, Harry and Meghan have dropped down their HRH titles and are not allowed to use the word “royal” in their own branding. The two, however, are still allowed to call themselves the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, something the majority of Britons aren’t happy about. Why, you may wonder? Well, they believe that Harry and Meghan have slammed the Royal Family to a great extent, but they are still cashing out by using royal titles.
The relationship between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the royals didn’t deteriorate as much when they left the family as it did when they gave Oprah the infamous tell-all interview during which they accused the royals of a bunch of things. Among the rest, Meghan spoke of the family’s inability to help her with her mental struggles, claiming she was told it would affect the image of the Firm. She also claimed that a senior royal questioned the color of Archie’s skin, which many understood as an attempt to accuse the Royals of racism. Shortly after the interview which shook the world, William said his family wasn’t racist.

The Queen hasn’t said much regarding everything that has been going on. She only released a statement which read: “Following conversations with The Duke, The Queen has written confirming that in stepping away from the work of The Royal Family it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service.
“The honorary military appointments and Royal patronages held by The Duke and Duchess will therefore be returned to Her Majesty, before being redistributed among working members of The Royal Family.” The statement concluded that Harry and Meghan will always remain much loved members of the family.

One person, who was said to be extremely mad at Harry and Meghan in particular, was Prince Charles. He accused his son of dragging the family’s name through the mud and wasn’t particularly interested in mending the relationship, especially after Harry refused to talk things through with him and William after Prince Philip’s funeral.
However, it looked like the Sussexes offered an olive branch to the Royals when their daughter was born. They named her Lilibet “Diana” Mountbatten-Windsor, honoring both the Queen and late Princess Diana. This decision, however, was slammed by the public who believed that neither Queen Elizabeth was consulted regarding the name, which was her childhood nickname, nor was she happy.
shutterstock
Now that Harry and Meghan lead their lives as civilians and Harry has announced he will be publishing a book which will be all about “the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him,” as per the publishing company Penguin Random House, the public expects from the Queen to make a move.
However, according to royal expert Ingrid Seward, Queen Elizabeth will likely do something completely different and will deal with her grandson and his wife as gracefully as always, by ignoring them. Seward believes that the Queen won’t remove the “Duke and Duchess of Sussex” titles from Harry and Meghan because it will lead to compromising the relationship with them even further.
“I don’t think removing the titles would make much difference and it would look very petty,” she told Express. “I also don’t think it is something the Queen would want to do at this stage of her reign.
“It would be far more insulting just to ignore them. Even excluding them from the jubilee next year gives them ammunition to criticize the monarchy.”

As per reports, in order to remove Harry and Meghan’s titles, a statute would need to be passed by both the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
Donald Trump Jr. has had his fair share in the business of his mogul father and former POTUS Donald Trump. Raised in the Trump Tower, he got to experience the life of luxury from the moment he was born.
When he was just 12 years old, his parents divorced and Trump Jr.’s mother, Ivana Trump, got the custody of him and his siblings, sister Ivanka and brother Eric. In fact, at the time, it was Ivana who was spending much of her time with the children while Donald Trump was busy running his business and expanding to Manhattan.
Shutterstock
As a child, Trump Jr. spent most of his summers his maternal grandparents in Czechoslovakia where he enjoyed going fishing. He also learned to speak fluent Czech.
Being a young boy and not being aware of how things worked between grown ups, Trump Jr. blamed his father of the divorce. “How can you say you love us?” the 12-year-old Trump Jr. told his father, according to a 1990 Vanity Fair article. Later, however, he said he was “manipulated” into thinking that Donald was the only one responsible for the separation.
“Listen, it’s tough to be a 12-year-old. You’re not quite a man, but you think you are. You think you know everything,” Trump Jr. said. “Being driven into school every day and you see the front page and it’s divorce! ‘THE BEST SEX I EVER HAD!‘ And you don’t even know what that means.”
Shutterstock
After the divorce, Ivana received $25 million payout and wrote in her memoir: “Donald might not have been the greatest husband to me, but he was a good father to the kids.”
Ivana was heavily involved into the family business while married to Donald. She was the designer of the interiors at the Grand Hyatt Hotel and Trump Tower, as well as president and CEO of Trump Castle and also president and CEO of the Plaza Hotel.
Shutterstock
As his father has always been a very powerful man, he was good friends with a number of celebrities. Speaking of those times and the life at Trump Tower, Trump Jr. wrote in his book Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us: “Even when Dad would bring home a celebrity, which he did often, I would usually run in the other direction.” That, however, wasn’t the case when the King of Pop was around. Michael Jackson owned an apartment at the Trump Tower and he was a frequent visitor of the Trump family.
Trump Jr. recalled he and his siblings had several playdates with the music icon. During an occasion, as he and MJ were playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the Nintendo, Donald gave Michael a copy of the game.
Shutterstock
“Michael Jackson used to come up and he was our neighbor at Trump Tower,” Trump Jr. told Fox News. “So I was playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Michael Jackson! You know, this is in the early 90s—maybe even in the late 80s. Peak Michael.
“We’re playing Nintendo and Michael really likes the game. So my dad walks in and says ‘well why don’t you take the game Michael?’ And so I’m sitting there like….,” he said expressing disbelief.
“My parents made us work for the things that we wanted and it was one of the great things they did for us,” he continued.
“So that took me whatever it was time to earn it — I’m pretty sure Michael could’ve called Nintendo and said I want one of those. It wouldn’t have been a big deal, but he just took it. I was like, ‘What’s going on here?’”
Shutterstock
After spending some time in Aspen, living in his truck and working as a bartender, Trump Jr. returned to New York in 2001 and he’s been working alongside his father ever since. During Donald Trump’s presidency, Trump Jr. was his chief adviser and helped with the campaign a great deal.
He has been supporting his father’s plan to run for president once again. However, when asked whether he considers running himself, he said at a Conservative Political Conference in Texas that he hasn’t “personally thought about” running for President in 2024.
Shutterstock
Trump Jr. also added that “[unnamed polls have] me pretty high up the list if not at the top of it.” As quoited by People, he also said: “Who knows. The reality with that job is you also have to want to do the day job, right? It’s not just about the campaigning.
“I love being in that fight, I love fighting for the things that are out there, that I believe in as a conservative. I will do that irrespective. To want to actually get in that mix, is a whole different story.”
Trump Jr. was married to now ex-wife Vanessa for 14 years before they decided to untie the knot back in 2018. They are parents of five children.
Many times, dogs play crucial roles at helping soldiers who are serving the country. Being deployed is not easy at all, so for many soldiers, the canines they meet and make friends with while at distant lands are the reason why they endure being separated from their loved ones.
One Vietnam veteran named Mike Monahan had his life saved by a dog named Chico some 50 years ago. Chico was originally from South Dakota but his owners sent him to Vietnam after they realized how overprotective he was and after he completed a Scout Dog Training in Georgia.
Source: Facebook/ Mike Monahan
Unfortunately, after the war was over, Chico, and the rest of around 4,000 dogs were either abandoned or euthanized. Today, even years after saying the last goodbye, Mike still feels incredible guilt for leaving his furry companion behind.
For over a year now, Mike is writing a book about Chico’s life as seen from the dog’s perspective titled Chico’s Promise.
Speaking to WCPO, Mike shared a short extract of his book which is about to be published very soon. “Then one day Mike entered my kennel, took a knee, put his arms around me and said, ‘I love you, I love you boy. I’m sorry I can’t do anything about this, I love you boy take care of yourself. Goodbye Chico. Thanks for saving my life, I promise to never forget about what a hero you are in my eyes.’ Then I heard a voice say, ‘Monahan, time to go. Jeep’s waiting,’ and just like that it was over, once again I was all alone. Abandoned.”
The promise Mike made to Chico and to himself is to help save 50,000 dogs by covering the fees for their adoption.
In order to make this wish a reality, Mike will use the money from the book he’s writing. “My dream is that millions of people will read Chico’s story, fall in love with him, become inspired, and join forces to improve the treatment of dogs by eliminating abuse and abandonment.”
We hope he will achieve his goal and that many dogs will find their happy ending with loving families.
Jennifer Lake was a 16-year-old student at Pocatello High School, Idaho, when she first started experiencing severe headaches that would come out of nowhere. She somehow knew there was something wrong and decided to visit the family doctor and go through a series of check-ups.
Her doctor ordered an MRI on her head and that’s when Jennifer learned she had a tumor in her brain. That was the most devastating news a teenager could hear. She believed her life was ahead of her and hoped it would be a happy and a careless one, but instead, she faced a battle against a horrible disease.
Initially, doctors informed her and her family that the tumor was around two centimeters wide, but after they ran a round of other tests and scans, it turned out the situation was even worse, and the tumor was even bigger. Sadly, the cancer spread to other parts of her body.
Jennifer was told her chances of survival were slim even if she decided on undergoing through chemotherapy. She was also told that if she made it, the treatments would make her sterile and she would never be a mother.
”Jenni just flat out asked them if she was going to die,” said her father, Mike Lake, a truck driver from Rexburg, north of Pocatello.
‘We were told that she couldn’t get pregnant, so we didn’t worry about it,’ her boyfriend Nathan, 19, said.
However, something unexpected happened, and the couple learned they were expecting a baby. That made things different for Jennifer whose biggest wish was to become a mom one day.
But, that meant she had to make a tough decision. It was either her child’s life or hers at stake. In case she decided to carry on with the pregnancy, that would mean she had to stop with the chemo.
This fierce young lady decided to follow her heart and deliver the baby, even though it put her life in even greater risk.
Nine months later, baby Chad Michael was welcomed into the world.
Jennifer’s mom, Diana Phillips, recalled the day of her grandchild’s birth and said how her daughter grabbed the midwife’s hand and whispered: “I’m done, I did what I was supposed to. My baby is going to get here safe!”
Just six days after she had her baby, Jennifer was released from the hospital. Sadly, she only had six days to spend with her bundle of joy in the comfort of her home. The moment she died, little Chad was in her arms.
Jennifer was happy she got to give birth and kiss her baby. She made the ultimate sacrifice and that speaks of what mothers are capable of doing for their children.
Now, years after her passing, Jennifer’s family is making sure Chad knows of what his mom did for him and how much she loved him. Her story is touching the hearts of many since 2011, when she left this world.
There is a Facebook page dedicated to Jennifer’s life and journey where people pay still tribute to her sacrifice.
This story touched me to the core. Please share it to keep Jennifer’s legacy alive.
A man named Prentiss Weatherford from Louisville, Kentucky, was a witness to a child kidnapping while he was staying outside his home in early July.
There is nothing scarier and more terrifying for a parent than when a child is abducted. They are left fearing for their little one’s life and feel powerless, so most times, in situations like that, what they can do is wait, pray, and put their faith in the authorities to get their precious jewel home safe and sound.

When he saw his six-year-old neighbor being grabbed by the collar out of her bike and tossed inside a car, Weatherford rushed into his vehicle and started chasing the kidnapper. Unfortunately, he didn’t manage to catch him but was able to identify the type of car he was driving, a red Dodge Challenger, and memorize he last three digits of his license plate.
As it turned out, it was enough information for the police to act and track down the suspect. Weatherford alerted the police of the kidnapping and also told them that the suspect was a white man with dark hair.

An entire division of the Lousiville police department got involved into the search of the little girl. Shortly after, two police officers, Sergeant Joe Keeling and Officer Jason Burba, spotted the suspect and asked him to get down on his knees. When they opened the car’s door, they could see the girl inside, crying and looking for her daddy.
Thanks to the brave neighbor who ran into action and the officers who joined in the search, the girl was taken back to her family.

Weatherford’s action was praised by the entire community. Speaking to Inside Edition, he said: “Thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate it and just hope you guys would do the same in that situation.”

In an unexpected turn of events, one police officer found himself in the right place at the right time and saved the life of a chocking student.
Officer Duane Smith was supposed to go to the school later that day, but he decided to return earlier after helping the school patrol. This decision, or call it an intuition, turned to be life-saving.

During lunch time, one of the students, Ethan Hamrick, suddenly started chocking on a water bottle cap that was lodged in his airway. Luckily, his friend Rudra Parmar realized what was going on and rushed to alert Officer Smith and the school nurse, Annette Lively. Without hesitation, Officer Smith ran into action and started performing the Heimlich Maneuver on Ethan.
After 14 tries, the cap move around and opened a breathing passage. Luckily, it gave Ethan a chance to take some breath while they were waiting for the ambulance to arrive. The nurse also did her part and stayed by Ethan’s side.

After the scary incident, Ethan was rushed to the hospital where doctors managed to get the cap out. He was soon released and is now feeling fine.
His friend, Rudra, who saw the emergency unfolding right in front of his eyes, said: “I was really hoping that he’d be alive by the end of this, so I just prayed. Because I don’t want to lose a friend…I’ve prayed for my mother and my father, might as well pray for a friend.”

Thankfully, everything turned for the best for young Ethan all thanks to his friend, Officer Smith, and nurse Lively.
You can take a look at the whole story in the video below.
Who could have thought that the big and brave German shepherd could be afraid of water. Although this breed is known for their courage and their service in the army and the military forces, they are allowed to be vulnerable at times and to have their own fears. This particular dog hesitates to go near the family’s new water sprinkler. He barks at it not knowing it will become the best ‘toy’ he’s ever played with.
Source: YouTube/ Amanpreet Singh
Watching from the distance, the dog nervously stares at the water coming from the sprinkler as his little baby brother encourages him to come forward. It’s so sweet to watch how the little buddy point to it with his tiny finger as though he says, “Don’t be afraid, this is so much fun” and then demonstrates how it works. While the mom watches the two ‘talking’ she starts laughing.

Once the German Shepherd is convinced the water won’t hurt him, he approaches near the sprinkler and that’s when the real fun starts. Watching the dog play with the water is beyond hilarious. He is so excited that he goes completely nuts and can’t stop running around. The fear is now gone and all he has to do is enjoy even more.
We are happy this dog found a new way to entertain himself. Take a look at the video and don’t forget to share it with your friends!
Being a single parent is hard and demanding, especially now when a huge number of businesses closed down because of the pandemic and finding or even holding a job is harder than it has ever been.
Angela Thrower, from Richmond, Virginia, is a mother of two. Unfortunately, things haven’t been easy for her and her kids recently, and they ended up living in her car.
In the past, Angela was convicted of embezzlement, and that makes it even harder for her to find a place for her family. She says that her kids are forced to suffer because of that stupid mistake she made, and that’s not fair. According to her, not many people are willing to rent their property to someone who is a former convict.
“I’ve called every community line, resource line that you can think of and I’m still back at square one,” the desperate mother told WRIC.

Angela has been placed on the waitlist for some time now, but things don’t seem promising. “I shouldn’t have to be sitting here, crying, stressing and figuring things out when there’s a whole resource line,” she said. “They’re telling me I’m not a priority. What makes me a priority?”
WRIC contacted Homeward, an organization that tracks data in Richmond and the surrounding area, and were told that a lot of people are staying in the shelters for longer periods of time and when someone doesn’t move out, others can’t move in.
Luckily, once the news outlet shared Angela’s story, the community decided to step in for her. A great number of people offered to help, with some of them offering to pay for a hotel stay and others offering free apartments. Since then, Angela has started a GoFundMe page which helped raise over $5,000 in the first 24 hours.

Thanks to the kindness the community offered, Angela will luckily be able to find a home for herself and her two kids.
Not every child who ends up in the foster system is lucky enough to find a forever family. A lot of young kids go from one home to another, but never settle, and that’s a very sad reality.
Luckily, there are people out there, like Treka Engleman, who give these children a chance for a clean start and turn their life for the better.
Sharing her incredible story with Love What Matters, 30-year-old Treka from Cincinnati, Ohio, recalled the time she decided to became a foster parent.
“I have 20 nieces and nephews, 3 great nieces, and a host of cousins who I have babysat over the years. I’ve worked in childcare ever since I graduated from High School. I’ve always babysat for different families; I guess I can say I thought I was a natural when it came to taking care of children. Little did I know three children would change my life….” she wrote.
“For years, I wanted to be a foster mom. Yet I was always hesitant to start the journey into foster care because I didn’t think a single person like myself could be a foster mom (no spouse, no children).”
Treka heard a lot of stories of children who were left without a family, and losing her mother at the age of six, she could only imagine how hard life would be for her without her big family by her side.
Once she was told she was suitable to be a foster parent, Treka took some parenting classes at an orphanage and moved into a bigger apartment.
When asked about the children she wanted to foster, Treka listed down African American and Caucasian. “Color doesn’t matter to me. Love is love no matter what color you are,” this incredible lady said.
The first child she welcomed into her life was five-day-old Elijah Lee Hill. Soon after, she was asked whether she wanted to take two sisters in. Treka agreed, but only one of her sisters, Alexis Bowman, came to live with her. As it turned out, the older girl, Mercedes, got herself into trouble and was sent to a group home.
As she couldn’t imagine for the girls to be separated, Treka contacted the caseworkers and asked to take Mercedes. They agreed, and soon after, the two girls were reunited and Treka’s family became a family of four.
“On March 16, 2018 Mercedes came to live with us. The girls and little Eli were all so excited. So now at this point it was me, a single mom 30 years old with 3 children ranging from 1 to 15. What was I thinking?
“You know what I was thinking? I love these kids and I wouldn’t have it any other way. They needed a home and I had more than enough to give them…My family does not see color, just kids that needed someone.
“Yes I have had my fair share of stares while we’re out in public, but we just keep walking by unbothered. I’ve had people ask me, ‘Oh, are you babysitting?’ and my response is no, they are my children. No questions asked. I never say ‘foster children,’ but my children. Because that’s what they are and always will be,” Treka shared with Love What Matters.
“Love has no color in my home and they are loved unconditionally…If you are considering fostering or adopting I say go for it. It doesn’t matter if you’re single, divorced, married, black or white. You can change someone’s life!”
Thank you Treka for everything you do for your beautiful children. You truly are an amazing woman and a mother.
This uplifting story will definitely make your day. It involves a beautiful family of three and a group of very innovative high school students.
When Jeremy King became a father, he was over the moon. Sadly, his happiness was overshadowed by the fact that he could not enjoy his baby’s company to the fullest due to his condition. Namely, he had a brain tumor and underwent a surgery which affected his balance. As a result, he now uses a wheelchair.
Speaking to Good Morning America, Jeremy’s wife, Chelsie King, said: “While he can walk, he can’t do so safely carrying a child. So we jumped into, ‘OK, what do we need in order for him to parent safely?’ and honestly, not a whole lot came up — there’s just really not a ton of resources out there for disabled parents.”
“One of the things that we really couldn’t find was a way to enjoy walks with our son,” Chelsie said, according to NBC Washington.
“We really just wanted a way to have walks as a family and for him to be able to do everything that a parent without physical disabilities does,” Chelsie added.
After exploring all the options, Chelsie came up with a brilliant idea. She reached to the students at the Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland, who are part of the school’s Innovation and Technology Lab, or BITlab. One of the classes, under professor Matt Zigler, Making for Social Good, is all about coming up with innovations which improve the lives of those who need it the most.
Professor Zigler was more than happy to introduce his class with the challenge. “One, it was great to have it as a challenge, but two, it was great that it was somebody in our community that could benefit from it,” he said.
The young minds did the most incredible thing. They created the WheeStroll which allows Jeremy to have the so much anticipated walks with his son.
The students not only made one father’s greatest wish come true, but they also received plenty of awards for their invention, including “Best Inspirational Story” and “Best Showcase of Iterative Design.”
“To see the smile on his face and to know that I was able to help give him that connection with his child that he wouldn’t be able to have because of his disabilities,” one of the students involved in the project, Benjamin Gordon, said.
“It definitely made me feel for them and it kind of made me mad because something like this should be made already and we shouldn’t be the one—high schoolers—making these designs,” student Jewel Walker added.
We are so happy for Jeremy and Chelsie, and profoundly thankful to the young students for their incredible work.
When Olympic gold medalist and a father of six, Bruce Jenner, transitioned into a woman, all eyes were on him. Known not only for his professional achievements but also as the former husband of Kris Jenner and part of the show Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Bruce, now Caitlyn, has spent a lifetime battling gender dysphoria before finally coming out as a woman at the age of 65.
Besides having kids on her own, Caitlyn has also been the stepfather of Kris’ children, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob.

However, after transitioning, it looked like her relationship with her stepchildren sort of broke down and they are not into contact any longer. Speaking about it, she told Grazia: “I don’t talk about that side of the family, I spent 23 years of my life with those kids – it’s difficult to talk about it, terribly terribly sad.
“I’ve lost all relationship with them, yes, I don’t talk to any of them anymore.”
#BREAKING Caitlyn Jenner has left California in the middle of the gubernatorial race to compete in Celebrity Big Brother in Australia.
Recently, 71-year-old Caitlyn has turned to politics and announced earlier this year that she will be running for governor of California against Governor Gavin Newsom.
“Californians want better and deserve better from their governor. For too long, career politicians have overpromised and underdelivered. We need a leader with a vision and the resolve to see it through,” the reality star shared on Twitter in April.
“This will be a campaign of solutions, providing a roadmap back to prosperity to turn this state around and finally clean up the damage Newsom has done to this state.”
.@Caitlyn_Jenner said she supports Trump’s possible 2024 run because she doesn’t “like what’s happening in this country right now.” And then she took off for Australia to film Big Brother. #LGBTQhttps://t.co/Xs2PLKuKRd
In case she’s elected, she will be the first transgender governor in the country. At the same time, Caitlyn slammed President Biden’s work so far and said she will support Donald Trump in case he runs for the presidential elections in 2024.
In an interview with Fox News’ ‘Justice with Judge Jeanie,’ Caitlyn expressed her support for former POTUS Donald Trump.
“If I was governor of the state of California… obviously, I would support him,” she said. “Yes, I still would support Trump. I do not like what’s happening in this country right now.”
Caitlyn Jenner says transgender athletes born male should not play on girls’ sports teams https://t.co/CzfJIRdBgr
This support comes despite the fact that the republicans took a critical stance regarding the LGBTQ issues. Caitlyn herself has done a lot for the rights of the transgender people, especially the children. She, however, is against transgender girls competing in sports. “I oppose biological boys who are trans competing in girls’ sports in school. It just isn’t fair. And we have to protect girls’ sports in our schools.”
Caitlyn says that what she liked about Donald Trump is that he was a disruptor. “He came in and shook the system up, OK? A lot of people didn’t like that in Washington, D.C., but he came in and shook the system up,” she said.

Dogs! What would we do without them by our side? Honestly, they make the best of friends and are the only creatures who love us more than they love themselves.
But did you know that except affection and loyalty canines can provide sympathy as well? Just take a look at this cute dog named Bill who stole the hearts of millions of people after his owner Russel Jones from London shared what he did for him.
Namely, Jones hurt his leg recently and he had to have it put in a plaster cast. That meant he experienced trouble walking properly and was forced to use a crutch. While out for a walk, Jones noticed how Bill started limping as well. He, of course, got concerned and took his four-legged companion to the vet.
After the check-up, this worried owner posted a video on the social media, writing:
“Cost me £300 in vet fees and X-rays, nothing wrong just sympathy. Love him ❤️“
Source: YouTube
As it turned out, sweet Bill was only pretending to be injured so that his owner didn’t feel bad for having trouble walking.
The video has been seen over 1.8 million times in just a couple of days and people love it, love it, love it. Well, what’s not to love here? Check it out below.
A group of soldiers who were deployed overseas found a way to have some fun and forget about the stressful job they have for a moment. They came across the video of the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders dancing to the hit song “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen and though it would be a nice idea to give it a try and recreate the video scene. The song is an absolute hit worldwide and these soldiers are fans of it.
The final result is jaw-dropping. Who would have thought that it will end up so accurate knowing they lack all of the resources like the sea and the sand, and only have a military base in the foreign country of Afghanistan. But, they still managed to recreate each scene and it’s hilarious to watch. The video is now going viral and everyone praises the soldiers’ ability and willingness to cheer up even in the warzone.
Soldiers don’t have it easy. Not being able to be around their families and friends and missing all the important events such as their kid’s school recitals, holidays, and birthday parties may result in feeling devastated and depressed, so having some fun along the way can be good for lifting the soldiers’ spirit, and this group certainly knows the right way to do it.

Oh, those dogs. I thank God every day for making them part of our lives, because if it wasn’t for them, some people would have never learnt the true meaning behind “unconditional love, loyalty, and friendship.” Dogs are probably the only living creatures who love their owners more than they love themselves and they have proven this to be true numerous times.
Cotton, an adorable Pit Bull, melted the hearts of millions who have seen the video of him waiting for his human daddy to get back home from a drill weekend spent outside of the house.
Well, as it turns out, Cotton had no idea how long two days could feel when someone you love isn’t around. Although he’s deaf, Cotton knows his daddy is about to enter the door and he has the sweetest reaction after seeing him.
It doesn’t really come as a surprise that the cute video has been seen over 20 million times.

Unfortunately, Cotton’s owners posted an update later on that their loving dog got seriously ill and they had to make the tough decision of putting him down.
Rest in peace, sweet boy, you were the kind of pet anyone would ask for.

Over the years, a number of incredible actors and actresses who were part of the movie industry helped shape it. No matter how big or small their parts in certain films were, some roles remain iconic, just like that of Barber Floyd in what is considered one of the most warmly remembered comedies ever, The Andy Griffith Show.
The beloved barber was played by actor Howard McNear who had a long career on radio before he turned to films. He first found fame with a role on the radio program Speed Gibson of the International Secret Police, where he voiced Clint, an ace operator and Speed Gibson’s uncle.
In 1942, McNear enlisted as a private in the U.S Army Air Corps and after serving, he took the role of Doc Charles Adams in the CBS Radio show Gunsmoke. Over the years, he played a number of roles, including congressmen, hotel managers, and even villains.
However, he had his major breakthrough starring alongside some of the greatest names of the time, among which Andy Griffith.
Floyd, the barber he played, became a crucial Mayberry character fans couldn’t imagine the series without.
Many believe that the character of Floyd “The Barber” Lawson was based on the barber who cut Griffith’s hair, a man named Russell Hiatt. However, Jim Clark, co-author of The Andy Griffith Show Book, said: “No one can know for sure at this point. I’ve heard Russell tell folks that he remembered cutting Andy’s hair during the time frame of his trips home during college, which circa 1944 would fit.”
During the show’s run, McNear suffered a stroke which limited the motor function of the left side of his body. He took some time off, but it was Andy himself who did his best to get McNear back to the show. After his return, he was often portrayed sitting in a chair and when he needed to stand “it was with the aid of a special jig the men in the crew built for him.”
Two years after the stroke, McNear suffered another one, and sadly, he passed away in 1969 at the age of 63.
Speaking of the impact and influence McNear had on The Andy Griffith Show, pop culture historian Geoffrey Mark told Closer: “If you watch all the episodes like I have hundreds of times, Floyd the Barber really permeates Mayberry. A lot of Mayberry’s attitudes get revealed through him, because that barbershop was kind of the center of town for the men to gossip in. And there were almost as many scenes in the barbershop as there were in Andy’s office.
“People just hung out there, so whenever anything happened in town, any storyline where something was going on, there was always a scene at Floyd’s where they discussed it.”
The biggest dream of one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, TV hosts, Larry King was to pursue a career in broadcasting. He worked hard for that and even after his passing in January of this year, he is still remembered as a legend. “I wanted to be a broadcaster since I could remember, when I was five years old,” King said on the series Dispatches From Quarantine.
The way he entered the industry is quite amazing. In fact, late King met a CBS announcer by chance and was offered to go to Florida and try his luck as a broadcaster. At the time, there weren’t many people who worked this job and it was quite easy for inexperienced individuals to get hired.
Shutterstock
However, King first worked as a cleaner when in Florida and was put on the 9 a.m. to noon shift, also doing newscasts and sportscast during the afternoon, after one of the announcers quit. One of the conditions for getting the job was for King to change his birth name, which was Lawrence Zeiger. So, minutes after going on air, he decided to call himself King. Why King you may wonder. Well, according to the host himself, he had seen a commercial for King’s Wholesale Liquor and the name sounded good.
“I was petrified,” King told People in 1980 of his beginnings. “The theme music was supposed to fade, and I was supposed to do a voice-over. But every time the music faded I’d turn it back up again.”
“Finally, the station manager stuck his head into the studio and said, ‘Remember, this is a communicating business.’ I let the music go down and told the audience what had just happened. Those were my first words on the radio.”
Youtube/CSpan
During the first few years of his career, King didn’t have it easy. At one point, he was arrested for grand larceny, and although he was acquitted of all charges, he lost all of his broadcasting roles. But it didn’t took him long to return, again as one of the best in the business. In 1978, he was hired by WIOD in Miami and given his own coast-to-coast talk show, The Larry King Show, and the rest is history.
King interviewed some of the most famous and most influential people during his career.
Shutterstock
“The hottest radio property in the country,” as described by the Miami Herald’s former magazine Tropic Sunday, King wasn’t only famous for his special technique for interviewing people, but for his suspenders too.
“‘You know, you’re much trimmer, you look good, you ever tried suspenders?’ I had never worn suspenders in my life,” King recalled on the Today Show. “‘You ought to try it. It might be a nice look.’ I tried it and one night, put suspenders on. Some people called in and said, ‘Boy that looks good’ and that’s all you had to hear. And I’ve worn them ever since.”

The “king” passed away on January 23, 2021, at the age of 87. He had multiple health issues over the years. In 2019, he suffered a stroke, and just before he left this world he was hospitalized with COVID-19.
King’s son, Larry King Jr, spoke of his dad and told People: “What we can all take away from our father’s last time with us was his love of life. He had an indomitable spirit. Although he lost the battle he beat so many times over the years, we continued to be inspired by his strength.”
“Our dad was always thinking and focused on what we were up to in our lives,” he added. “He enjoyed just spending time with us and sharing memories together, especially going to Dodger games. I remember us playing basketball in the front yard of our house. Celebrity tour buses would come around and I think they were caught off guard seeing dad shoot baskets with us. We just loved those moments.”
Shutterstock
In 2020, a year before he died, King lost two of his children, Andy and Chaia. And now, as he’s no longer here, a battle for his estate is on. As reported by Yahoo, his estranged wife Shawn King is after it.
In February of this year, Larry King Jr. submitted a holographic will that his father had written on October 17, 2019. In it, King says he leaves his property to his children. However, according to the Los Angeles Times, Shawn’s lawyers claim the will was written under “questionable circumstances.”
“It will be argued that Larry did not have the capacity to draft a will. The fact that he hand wrote the will, combined with his possibly diminished capacity could lead one to believe he did not know what he was doing,” Shawn’s lawyer Walzer Melcher told Yahoo.
“A man of Larry’s wealth and experience would ordinarily retain counsel to prepare an estate plan that would include a trust.”

King had filed for a divorce with Shawn in August 2019 but according to her lawyers, he “was not pushing the divorce and was generally non-responsive and refused to participate in the divorce proceeding,” according to The Los Angeles Times.
One of the biggest sex-symbols of the 80’s, Tom Selleck, made a name for himself portraying the role of detective Thomas Magnum in Magnum P.I. The series which aired for eight years, from 1980 to 1988, earned Tom an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe.
Before he played this role which cemented his place in Hollywood, Tom worked as a model, but soon after, he found himself joining the California National Guard in the 160th infantry regiment and served from 1967 to 1973. Speaking of that period of his life, Tom is proud to say he’s a veteran “I was a sergeant in the U.S. Army infantry, National Guard, Vietnam era. We’re all brothers and sisters in that sense.”

After his service, he turned to acting, and the rest is history.
Millions of women fell for his charm and great looks, and men started growing mustache like their idol. At the time, Tom was really a symbol for masculinity. After Magnum P.I, Tom played the role of Monica Geller’s (Courteney Cox) boyfriend in the popular TV series Friends, and his recent project is the CBS police drama Blue Bloods. He starred in Three Men and a Baby (the highest-grossing film of 1987), Mr. Baseball and Quigley Down Under.

In 1971, he married model and actress Jacqueline Ray, but the pair divorced in 1982. Since 1987, Tom is married to the love of his life, wifeJillie Joan Mack.
Tom first laid eyes on Jillie during the production of Cats where she played Rumpleteazer. The actor, who was 38 at the time, was so smitten with this young actress that he kept coming back for a number of showings. His co-star Jane Seymour told People, ”He kept telling me how great ‘Cats’ was, I thought it was good, but I couldn’t see going back a dozen times.”
One dinner was more than enough for the two to realize that they belonged together. The pair has been married for 33 years and are still very much in love.

In 1988, they welcomed daughter Hannah.
The Selleck family is doing their best to live a normal life as much as possible. Hannah, who is now 32 years old, has been brought up at the family ranch in California where the Sellecks live until this day. She is a huge lover of animals, especially horses, passion that she inherited from her father. Today, the father and daughter are running a horse stable together. “My dad encouraged it a lot. He liked the idea of developing the babies and developing young horses, so he was a big supporter of this idea,” Hannah told the Hollywood Reporter. ”We want to show that we can produce the horses in the States, having them on the ground as foals and bringing them up through the young horse classes,” she told Sidelines.

Tom is 75 and enjoys his days with his loving wife and daughter. He and Jillie often say that the secret to their long and happy marriage is that they have always taken time off from work to be with each other and consult one another about basically anything. In an interview with the USA Today, Tom said, “I do grunt work and I make the rounds. I like watching things grow. It’s a retreat.”
