Will Smith’s daughter Willow Smith opens up about her sexuality and says she’s polyamorous

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith met on the set of Fresh Prince of Bell-Air back in 1990. After a few years of dating, they tied the knot in 1997, and despite their ups and downs over the years, they are still going strong.

Will and Jada have two children together, son Jaden and daughter Willow, who both follow into their famous parents’ footsteps.

Willow has spend her entire life around music. She started singing from very young age and recorded her first ever song when she was just 7, during a trip to China where her brother was filming Karate Kid.

She recalls the time she told her parents that music was her calling.

“I brought it to my parents, I remember being so excited going, ‘Guys, I really think this is what I wanna do. I really think I want to sing.’ And the first thing that they said to me was, ‘Are you sure?,’” she revealed.

“And I was like, ‘Yeah. I’m sure.’ And they said, ‘Okay, we just want to make sure because it’s going to be a lot of work. We just want you to know that you’re really young. And most of the people who do this are much older than you, and you have to handle a lot more pressure.’

“They told me right off the bat. I was so young that I just didn’t really believe them. And lo and behold, I got to a place where it was just too much. I just needed to take a step back and figure out what I wanted to do.”

In 2020, Willow released her single Whip My Hair which reached No. 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart. Although she experienced an enormous success, she was just 10 years old at the time and it was too much pressure to go on tours and promote her music. Willow announced a 30-day tour but after a few performances, she felt like it was enough. Her dad tried to persuade her to continue, but she just wanted to go home.

After that, Willow shaved her head and Will believed it was her way of protesting.

“This little girl is rejecting what I’m trying to do for her. She doesn’t want it,” Will said on Red Table Talk, a podcast hosted by Willow, her mother Jada Pinkett-Smith and her grandmother Adrienne.

“My desire for her was overriding her desire for her. I had a real epiphany on that, and how bad a person will hate you if you keep forcing your wishes onto their life,” he added.

“She introduced me to feelings… With Willow, I started to see how there was a higher value in talking to her about how she feels about the situation versus how to fix the situation. It became the new thought process for me. Kids aren’t ours. They are their own people. I just completely let go of my needs and my desires for their lives.”

Now, at the age of 20, Willow is a very successful singer. She released her 4th solo album lately I feel EVERYTHING. Recently, she decided to open up about her sexuality and shared with the world that she is bisexual and polyamorous.

On her podcast, she said: “With polyamory, I feel like the main foundation is the freedom to be able to create a relationship style that works for you and not just stepping into monogamy because that’s what everyone around you says is the right thing to do.

“Also, doing research into polyamory,” she added, “the main [reason] …why divorces happen is infidelity.”

Her grandma Adrienne made a comment that it was all about the sex, but Willow certainly doesn’t feel that way.

“In my friend group, I’m the only polyamorous person. And I have the least sex out of all of my friends,” Willow said on Red Table Talk.

“I was introduced to [polyamory] in a nonsexual way,” she added. “Let’s say you haven’t always been the kind of person that wanted to have sex all the time but your partner is. Are you going to be the person that says, ‘just because I don’t have these needs you can’t have them either?’”

We admire Willow for her bravery to speak openly about her sexuality.

20-month-old baby dies of starvation after mother leaves her for 6 days to go celebrate her 18th birthday

A young child lost her life due to her mother’s negligence. Asiah, who was only 20 months old at the time of her death, died of starvation after she was left home all by herself while her mother was celebrating her birthday in places 50 miles away from Brighton where the baby girl lived. The mother, then 18-year-old Verphy Kudi, and the baby girl were living in a ‘supported housing’ block for young families run by the YMCA on behalf of Brighton and Hove City Council, as per The Sun.

The tragedy took place in December 2019, and this month, Kudi was charged with manslaughter of her daughter and given nine years in prison.

The mother admitted she was guilty and broke down at the courtroom upon hearing her sentence.

After partying away from home for nearly 6 days, Kudi got back home to find her daughter unresponsive. She was the one who called the emergency services, but it was already too late. The girl was dead.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they saw Kudi “incoherent, distressed and distraught” while her daughter was lying on the floor.

Photos show Kudi partying in London with her boyfriend and then heading to south-east London where she had a DJ announce her birthday. After that, she went to Coventry to have some more fun and celebrate her birthday with her friends before she got back home to her daughter after five days, 21 hours, and 58 minutes.

According to BBC, Judge Christine Laing QC said in court: “It is almost unbearable to contemplate her suffering in the final days of her life, suffering that she endured so that you could celebrate your birthday and the birthdays of your friends as a carefree teenager,” describing Kudi as deceitful and manipulative. “You knew full well you should not be doing what you were doing,” the judge was reported to have added.

“It goes without saying that this is a particularly tragic case and it no doubt raises strong emotions in all who hear of it, but everyone should bear in mind that the charge I sentence you for is one of manslaughter, it being accepted that you did not intend to cause Asiah death nor to cause her really serious harm,” the judge stated.

Kudi’s estranged family explained that she became pregnant after she fell victim of sexual exploitation. They released a statement which read: “We are saddened by the current situation and as a family, we have many unanswered questions. Verphy has experienced so much at such a young age and we have always done what we can to support her. As a family, we are in the midst of an unbearable tragedy,” as reported by The Sun.

We are so very sorry for little Asiah, she deserved to be loved and cared for. May she rest in peace.

Mom knows 4-month-old son has cancer after taking a photo of him

Kids grow up very fast, so parents do all in their power to spend as much time with them as possible before they become grown ups who have families on their own. Taking a bunch of photos of their bundles of joy is just one way of making all the unforgettable memories last.

Josie Rock is a devoted mom who would do anything for her children. One day, as she was taking pictures of her 4-month-old baby Asher, she noticed something off on one of the photos.

“I was just taking pictures of him and the lighting happened to change in our room, the flash caught the reflection, and his eye was glowing white,” Josie told Fox News. One would say it was just the light and wouldn’t think something serious could be going on, but Josie’s motherly instinct told her something was wrong.

“I knew right then and there that Asher had cancer. It was chilling, to say the least. He was just a baby,” she added.

She recalled reading of a case where parents discovered their son had retinoblastoma, a disease in which malignant cancer cells form in the tissues of the retina, after noticing “the glow” in the eye on a photo. In order to be sure, she took more photos of Asher and showed them to her colleagues at the hospital where she works as a nurse. They thought it was nothing to worry about, but she decided to trust her gut and took the boy to the pediatrician.

“I remember the color drained from her (the doctor’s) face after she did the proper examination,” Josie said. “She turned the lights off and looked at his eyes and said, ‘Something’s not right.’”

Sweet Asher was officially diagnosed with retinoblastoma and had to undergo a surgery to remove the tumor.

Today, Asher is 7 years old. Over the years, he was forced to visit the hospital numerous times so that doctors could run a bunch of tests. The doctor who treats him, Dr. Thomas Olson, pediatric oncologist and hematologist at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, says these things can be subtle.

“He finished chemo in 2015. The problem with retinoblastoma is it can pop up in other places. Over time, he had a few new ones pop up and they were lasered.”

Josie believes that every parent out there should no the signs. She says she will never stop advocating if that means saving someone’s life.

“The way I see it, if it saves just one other child from having to go through what my son has, then I have done my job as a cancer parent,” she posted on Facebook. “I will never stop advocating for these children.

“Once you are placed in shoes, such as mine, and the millions of other parents of children suffering (and many losing their battles), then you’ll really understand our passion.”

We are very happy everything turned out for the best for Asher all thanks to his mom and her instinct that she decided to follow and trust.

Donna Douglas, who played Elly May on “The Beverly Hillbillies,” spoke of her relation with Buddy Ebsen before passing

Life is unpredictable and can take us to strange and new places when we least expect it. Sometimes, no matter how much we want something, things just don’t turn for the best, and other times, everything goes smoothly, just like the career of southern beauty Donna Douglas.

Donna was born Donna Ione Smith on Sept 26, 1932 in Pride, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana. When she was young, she probably never assumed that she would end up in the Big Apple and would become one of the most famous actresses of her time.

Youtube/VideoBGood

Louisiana was definitely not the place to be for Donna as her beauty and aspiration were asking for more.

When she was 16, she married Roland Bourgeois and had a son at the age of 21. Shorty after, however, young Donna divorced and decided to pursue a career as a model. She was crowned “Miss Baton Rouge” and “Miss New Orleans” in 1957 and she landed a job as an ad-model for a toothpaste company. From that moment on, Donna, who was a quiet and naive young lady, somehow became aware of her abilities and longed for more.

Once in New York, she went to an audition for the role of Elly May on one of the most successful TV series, The Beverly Hillbillies. The series first aired in 1962 and reached number one just three weeks after the first episode.

It portrayed the life of the Clampett family. The father, Jed Clampett, played by Buddy Ebsen, became a millionaire overnight so he and his family moved from the hills of the Ozark Mountains to Beverly Hills, California. However, changing places didn’t change their hillbilly manners, and that’s where the comedy who everyone loved started.

Youtube/Classic TV Channel

When Donna traveled for the open-call audition from New York to California, there were 500 other girls who were dreaming of getting a role in the series. Speaking of the time, she recalled how the producers asked her to milk a goat. “I had milked cows before,” she told AP 2009. “I figured they were equipped the same, so I just went on over and did it.”

Donna added, “I thought my heart was gonna pop wide ope. All I could do was bob my head up and down. I wanted my folks back home to be proud of what I did.”

Youtube/100huntely

After the audition, as Donna headed home, she got involved in a car accident and ended up in the hospital. But that didn’t prevent her to show up at the testing a few days later. Luckily, she got the role, although she was completely unaware at the time of how important and how everlasting Elly May would turn out to be.

On the set of The Beverly Hillbillies, Donna made friends with actor Max Baer Jr, who played the role of Jethro Bodine, son of Jed’s cousin Pearl, a borderline dim-witted man who was good at math.

According to the book Dashing, Daring, and Debonair: TV’s Top Male Icons from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, Donna said of her friend, “He gave me a hard time then and still does. But we all were like a family. Max could complain about any one of us (for whatever reason), but do not let someone else say something about one of us. Boy — would Max really let that person have it. He’d defend us just like with a real family member.”

Youtube/FactsVerse

But then, amid its popularity, the show was canceled in 1971 and that decision surprised both the fans and the cast. “I didn’t know it was going to end,” Donna said speaking to the Lincoln Times News. “They kept telling us we would be coming back for next season and then they would say no and kept see-sawing back and forth. We never had a farewell finale.”

The same year the show was canceled, Donna married director Robert M. Leeds, but the pair divorced in 1980.

As Donna herself once said, the show didn’t only bring her enormous popularity and love, but also best friends for life. One very special person in her life, who remained her closest friend until the end of his life was Buddy Ebsen, who portrayed the role of Jed, Donna’s TV father. She always spoke of him as “a wonderful man, very much like my own father, a quiet, reserved, and caring person.”

Youtube/Classic TV Channel

When he died in 2003, the actress was heartbroken. She told The Bay Net, “Most of my scenes were with Buddy, and most of Max’s with Irene. Buddy was just a wonderful man. I related to him so easily. The night before he died, Max and I went up to the hospital to see him.”

After The Beverly Hillbillies, Donna played in a number of TV shows and movies, including Frankie And Johnny, where she starred along with the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley.

When she felt like she had it enough from television, Donna started working as a real-estate agent and although she sold million dollar homes, she didn’t really enjoy that job. “Oh no, I wasn’t good in real estate,” she said, “You know why? Because I’ve learned I’m a service person. I’ll tell ’em what’s good about the house, but I’ll tell them what’s wrong about it, too. And you don’t do that!”

Sadly, Donna passed away of pancreatic cancer in 2015 in a hospital near her hometown of Zachary, Louisiana. Her last job in Hollywood was that in the 2013 movie Chronicles of Life Trials.

“We lost a dear family friend today…The world knew her as Ellie Mae Clampett. A Beverly Hillbilly. But we knew her as our precious Donna who never met a stranger, had style and grace, had a kind heart, always wore pretty pink, and loved people,” the post by the Southern Gospel Update read. “I’m thankful for the time we got to spend with her and all the wisdom and lessons that the kids learned from her! I will forever hear her whistle and “y’all come back now, hear. See you on the other side, my friend.”

Donna’s portrayal of Elly May was nothing less than legendary. Rest in peace!

Police finds 3-year-old boy hiding under the bed and eating plastic after being left home alone for three days

There are people out there who pray to God every single day to bless them with a child, and there are also those who fail to take proper care of their little ones, neglect them, abuse them, and make their lives a living hell.

The following story comes from Odessa, a city in Ukraine.

Police got a call about a flooded apartment and went to check what was really going on. The neighbor who called them told them how water started running down from the apartment above. They also revealed something shocking. Apparently, when they tried reaching the woman above, they realized she wasn’t home, but her 3-year-old son was.

When they arrived at the scene, the officers couldn’t believe their eyes. A toddler, completely naked, was hiding under the bed and was chewing on plastic. As it turned out, his mother, Natalia, left the boy all by himself while she went out partying with her friends. What’s most, this wasn’t the first time for the toddler to be locked inside without supervision.

The poor boy was starving. There was no food and the place was extremely filthy and infested with cockroaches. He only managed to find some sugar, and when there was no more, he started eating the plastic package. As he was thirsty as well, he tried getting some water and that’s when he left the water running. Had it not been for the flood, God knows what would have happened to him.

“I saw water pouring down my walls and ran upstairs trying to find Natalia,” the neighbor told local media. “When I realised [the toddler] was home alone, I called emergency services.”

The boy was taken from the apartment by the social services and his mother only came home the following day. She was taken in for questioning by the police and will be charged with child neglect and failure to fulfill parental duties.

“The child lived in horrific unsanitary conditions,” said Yulia Nikandrova, the head of the Children’s Protection Service. “The apartment was infested with cockroaches and contaminated with dirt and filth. There was no food. The boy was neglected and covered with bruises.”

They are trying to strip Natalia of her parenting rights and the boy will likely be placed in an orphanage.

High school football player dies after collapsing from “heat stroke” during practice

Drake Geiger, a 16-year-old boy, lost his life after collapsing during football practice. The tragedy took place at Omaha High School.

Shortly after his parents dropped him off for his practice on August 10, the coach called them and told them that their son was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, nothing could be done.

The boy’s father, Scott, recalls the last words he said to his loving son were: “Be tough, kid.”

“The coach called me, said they did their first 10-minute drill, and he went up got a drink, came back, sat down, and fell over. Said he had only been at practice 10 minutes… said the EMTs were there taking him up to UNMC,” Scott said as per 6News. “We got up there, doctor came and told us he was extremely overheated, and he was very, very sick.”

Drake was 6-foot-3-inch and he was a healthy young man. The family was told that the cause of death was a heat stroke. However, an autopsy will be carried out. According to KETV News, the heat index at the time of the football practice was 106 degrees.

Drake was just days away from getting he’s driver’s licence. He was described as a shy boy who loved playing football and hanging out with friends. According to his dad, Drake was looking forward to getting back to school.

Omaha High School expressed their condolences to Drake’s family and asked from other students and parents to keep the Geigers into their prayers.

This tragedy should remind all of us to avoid being outside during very hot weather.

Rest in peace, Drake. Our thoughts are with the family.

Father resents his 1-year-old son because his wife died giving birth to him

In times of grief, we sometimes utter words we don’t mean. The truth is that the pain can be so overwhelming that our judgment is clouded.

What one single black father living in a ghetto shared on Reddit made many feel both emotional and worried.

The 22-year-old user started his post by speaking of his late wife who was his high-school sweetheart. The day he married her was the happiest day of his life.

“I loved her more than anything. In our second year of college, she ended up getting pregnant. As a sidenote, her parents and my parents are horrendous, abusive and overbearing. We struggled to cut off contact (I went full after my wife passed away) and when she got pregnant, her parents threatened to cut off all financial support if she aborted.”

After giving it a lot of thought, she decided to keep the baby and her pregnancy was a tough one. Unfortunately, she died while giving birth to her child, a healthy baby boy.

The father went home with his son. “I was all by myself. I had a kid, no support from family (I do have two little brothers but they’re eight and eleven), no support from my in-laws (as far as I’m concerned, they killed my wife), and all my friends being poor 20somethings working minimum wage jobs. I originally planned to go to med school and that’s where most of my friends are now,” he wrote in his post.

He went on and described his first year of fatherhood as hell. He had no idea how to raise a baby and was left all by himself. His late wife’s parents didn’t want to have anything with him and most of his friends were still in college working for minimum wages.

“I had no idea how to raise a child. I worked two jobs and my son was bounced around with my friends, who rotated looking after him while I was working. I worked 12am-8am overnight where I’d leave him with my best friend. Thankfully he was not a fussy baby and slept through most of the night. At eight o’clock, coming home from work, I’d swing by and pick him up and then spend time with him, probably end up falling asleep in chunks with him waking me up screaming, then I’d be off to work again at 3pm-9pm where I worked part-time at a drugstore. I’d call up whichever friend was available and struggle to find someone to keep him. Sometimes I wouldn’t be able to and I’d have to call sick for work. Typically I’d sleep through both my lunch breaks for either job.”

Representational Image (Source: Getty Images | Photo by Image taken by Mayte Torres)

And then, he wrote how he just hated the baby. “He’s sleeping next to me in his cradle and looking at his squishy little face I just… I hate him. I hate this stupid f**king kid. Well, not entirely. When he snuggles next to me the few hours I have off, I get a rush of affection for him. But most of the time, I hate him.”

On the little one’s first birthday, there was no cake and no party. Instead, this man spent the day crying and thinking of his wife. “This isn’t his birthday, this is the day my wife died. If she had been here right now, then I wouldn’t be all by myself with a one year old. Who I literally hate more than anything in the world.”

A lot of people tried to console him, telling him things were going to be better for him and his boy.

“First off, I’m so sorry for your loss. Your son is absolutely blameless. Your wife would want you to love him and even more so because she can’t. Please seek counseling. Journal your feelings,” one user wrote.

“Think about how you felt when your parents were abusive. You didn’t deserve it and neither would your baby,” another added.

“Your son is a bit part of your wife and really one of the few things left of her. I can’t even imagine what you went through…” commented another user. “Remember he is very much your wife and I’m sure she’d be proud of you for trying to get the best father you can be to your son.”

Representational Image (Source: Getty Images | Photo by Ariel Skelley)

There were also those who advised him to seek professional help and go to therapy, but everyone somehow knew that deep down he was a good father who was simply unable to cope with his loss.

In the comments section, the father later wrote: “I don’t hate him. I love this tiny man more than anything. I’m just overworked and underslept.”

We truly hope he will be able to overcome his grief and will find strength to move on with his life with his boy by his side.

Lucille Ball’s daughter Lucie Arnaz pays tribute to her mother on her birthday

Few actors impacted the film industry and the showbiz as profoundly as Lucille Ball did. Her lead role in the all-time favorite show I Love Lucy made her an icon admired by millions even years after her death.

On August 6, the day she was born, her daughter Lucie Arnaz posted a touching tribute on social media. “So many celebrations coming up to honor you, Mom,” Arnaz wrote. “Your radio show is being replayed after 50 years on SiriusXM. There is a feature film coming out of your life and a wonderfully insightful documentary, a new educational tool, even a Tribute Barbie!!!! What else could you want?

“I hope you’re proud,” Arnaz added. “Happy 110th heavenly birthday. We love and miss you every day.”

Wikimedia Commons

Arnaz was lucky enough to have Lucille as her mother and someone she could share the screen with. The mother-daughter duo worked on a number of projects together. Some of the Lucille’s shows Arnaz appeared in were The Lucy Show and Here’s Lucy. Later on, Arnaz had her own show, The Lucy Arnaz Show, co-starred opposite Neil Diamond in The Jazz Singer, and went on to have a successful career in musical theater.

Lucille was married to her co-star Desi Arnaz. Except for Lucie Arnaz, the two also had a son, Desi Arnaz Jr. Being children of two celebs was a true blessing, although it had certain drawbacks.

“What is it like to be the daughter of famous people is what it is like to be the daughter or son of two busy people, two working parents that are not home a lot,” Arnaz said in an interview with Arlene Herson.

“So that is the downside. These are people that the entire world owned part of them too.”

Lucille Ball was a true icon. Over the years, she made many laugh with her incredible wit. She passed away in 1989 at the age of 77, but her legacy is still alive.

Lucille wasn’t just an actress, but she was a pioneering TV producer who ran the major TV studio Desilu Productions. It was among the rest known for shows such as Star Trek and Mission Impossible.

The upcoming movie titled Being the Ricardos, starring Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem in the main roles, will feature the lives of Lucille and Desi. We are looking forward to it.

Man survives three days trapped inside a capsized boat at the bottom of the ocean before divers come to his rescue

This is probably one of the most incredible rescue stories you will ever hear. It involves a shipwreck and a man who managed to survive for three whole days at the bottom of the ocean. Yes, you’ve read that right, and here are the details.

A tugboat sank as it was trying to pull an oil-tanker off the Nigerian cost. As most of the members were left trapped inside their rooms, the cook, Harrison Okene, was inside the bathroom the moment a gigantic wave capsized the small boat.

Source: Raw Pixel – NASA

Okene was able to find an air pocket at the engineers office and stayed there, hoping someone could rescue him before it was too late.

During those three days, Okene went through an ordeal. As he was waiting for a miracle to happen, he heard a strange noise. Unfortunately, it was the sound of sharks tearing the flash off the bones of his crew-mates’ bodies. He was praying those creatures don’t get near him, and soon after, he could hear them swimming away.

Okene found two flashlights, a vest, and a bottle of coke, but still, it couldn’t help him get anywhere. He then built a small platform out of a mattress to avoid getting hypothermia.

When Okene heard sounds again, he was certain the sharks came back for him and he knew he couldn’t fight them, but then, he felt a human hand touching his. It was one of the divers who were in the process of recovering the bodies of Okene’s friends. They could never imagine there was someone who survived the shipwreck.

Luckily, they could get near Okene to give him some water and diving apparatus. Soon, Okene was led to the rescue team’s decompression chamber.

Finally, after three long days and against all odds, Okene stepped on ground.

His survival story was out and impressed millions of people who were left stunned and shocked. Many couldn’t help but comment how lucky he was for getting a chance to be alive.

Group of bikers hunts dog-fighting ring and brings abusers to justice

Don’t judge a book by its cover, they say, but the truth is that we do judge others based on their appearance without even knowing a thing about their personality or their life. Bikers are one of those people society labels as fierce, tough, and troublesome. Truth is most of these people are just gentle giants.

Take Joe Panz and his biker buddy G for example. They are always going an extra mile for the animals in need of help and protection. Their former organization, Rescue Ink, has changed the lives of a huge number of dogs over the years.

It all started when they saw a photo of an abused Pit Bull used as a bait dog by some cruel people. The poor animal was covered in wounds and his ears were missing. It was obvious it suffered excruciating pain, and sadly, there were more dogs like him out there. The photo’s caption, which was shared by Humane Society, said that the Pit Bull was rescued from an illegal dog-fighting ring in Kentucky. It turned out that info was more than enough for Joe and G to take a flight to Kentucky and take matters in their own hands.

Source: YouTube/ Mmdukat

After a thorough investigation, they gathered enough information about the illegal ring and handed it to the authorities. The ring was soon closed and all the dogs were rescued and placed at shelters.

It felt so good for all those dogs to be rescued that the friends founded the Rescue Ink organization. “When we pull up, they don’t know what we’re going to do,” one member, Anthony “Big Ant” Rossano said. “They don’t know what we’re capable of doing. So it helps out big time.”

Now, although the organization is shut, many of the former members are still heavily involved in rescuing animals.

As for the Pit Bull that started all of this, they named him Rebel and gave him a forever home.

Drive-by parade held to celebrate WWII lieutenant’s 100th birthday

Turning 100 years old is a milestone that deserves a proper celebration. And that’s what nurse and war veteran Anna Bauer was given by her family, her community, and many veteran organizations from all over the country.

Bauer, who was an Army lieutenant and served in Germany, was given a huge parade with vehicles passing by her hospice in Florida and people waiving and carrying balloons in her honor. This incredible lady joined the war when she was only 23 years old. Her husband was also part of the war and served as an Army private who drove ambulances there. After the war was over, he became a firefighter and the two were married for 70 years. What a life, one would say.

Anna was very happy for the parade organized for her. However, she told 11 Alive: “I don’t think they owe me anything. It’s just another day. Just another day out of 100.”

Among those who attended the celebration were members of the local American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, as well as the Honor Flight of West Central Florida and the Military Vehicle Preservation Association.

“They showed the bravery of what this country is made of and they gave everything to protect this county and the people here at home, so you can never stop respecting that and you have to honor it,” Frank Vanore of Post 2550 said.

Anna’s daughter, Brenda, was thankful to the Suncoast Hospice for organizing such a memorable event for her mother. “It’s amazing. It really says a lot about the people. It really does. We support our veterans,” she said.

Trudy Beeler, the Veterans Community Partnership Specialist with Empath Health, added: “It’s the greatest generation. This is something that’s going to be a special memory for everybody.”

YouTube Screenshot/ Suncoast Hospice – Empath Health

Anna, who is very modest despite her enormous achievements and her bravery, said of her service in the war: “I just graduated as a registered nurse, so I volunteered to service. I really was glad I did it. I was glad I volunteered.”

We certainly believe this lady deserved all the fuss. Happy birthday, Anna.

Street vendor has no idea he’s been filmed while feeding the strays

Have you ever noticed that those who have less always give more? Maybe it’s because they know how tough life gets at times and how hard it is not to have someone to lend you a helping hand when you need it the most.

The act of kindness by a street vendor from Puebla, Mexico, caught the attention of millions of people in just a matter of days after a video of him feeding the homeless dogs was shared online.

The best thing of all is that he does it genuinely and has no idea his deed is caught on tape. What’s most, no one knows who this man is as no one came forward with any information about his identity.

YouTube Screenshot/ los vigilantes de la web noticias

The video shows the benevolent man walking down a street and carrying the food he’s supposed to sell on his back while two strays walk after him. At one moment, the video shows the vendor stopping and taking some of the food out. He then gives it to the dogs and drops a piece a bit further where another dog is staying, probably too afraid to approach any closer.

This man could have easily choose to sell that food and make money instead of giving it to those hungry dogs, but he simply did what he believed was right.

Police officer has adorable conversation with a tiny baby owl

Police officers never know what they will come across at the scene when they are answering all those calls for help. But sometimes, they don’t even know what they will stumble upon while patrolling as well, and this time, a group of officers came face to face with one of the cutest little creatures we’ve ever seen; an adorable baby owl.

Of course, the moment they noticed the bird that was in the middle of the road, the Boulder County Sheriff’s deputies couldn’t help but stop and greet the little baby. Needless to say, the “conversation” one of them had with it melted millions of hearts.

The officer got close and said “hi.” What followed were a few awesome head twists.

Mugger tries stealing from a martial arts instructor and it doesn’t go well

Being a victim of thieves and muggers can certainly be a very unpleasant experience. Many times, it’s not about the possessions that are taken from you, but the stress such experience can cause, sometimes in the long run.

The good thing is that many times those who gather the courage to steal from others get what they deserve, just like this guy who tried to steal the phone from a martial arts instructor. Not the cleverest idea, right?

The entire incident was caught on camera and shows how the brave instructor, Meredith Livengood of New Orleans, Louisiana, taught the mugger a lesson he will never forget. At least he learned he should never steal from the wrong people, or anyone, in fact.

Source: YouTube Screenshot – WWLTV

As the man on a bike approached Meredith, he asked her whether he could join the lessons, but what he really wanted was to take her phone. The moment she took the phone out to check her schedule, the man grabbed it and tried riding away. However, Meredith acted very fast and grabbed him by his shirt. In no time, the mugger was off his bike and in her hands.

While Meredith held the man by his neck, people started gathering around trying to help her. Well, it’s not that she needed any help, but still.

The man then grabbed his bike and started riding as fast as he could.

The neighbor who caught everything on tape, Lo Floyd, said he was very impressed by Meredith’s reflexes and skills. He knows she’s a martial arts instructor, but seeing her demonstrate her knowledge was the highlight of the day.

“I saw the anger in the situation. That’s when me and my buddy ran down and I had my bat. But Meredith, she already had it taken care of already.”

Meredith also spoke of the incident and said: “He underestimated his opponent. People underestimate women a lot, and they shouldn’t.”

“Mr Big” from “Sex and The City” – this is what Chris Noth looks like today

For those looking at love and romance in a way never before described on screen, we have some awesome news; the legendary Sex and the City is on again. The movie reboot was announced earlier this summer and behind-the-scene photos of the main heroines conquering New York once again have emerged, bringing a strange yet pleasant feeling of nostalgia.

And, just like that, one of the most iconic love stories, that of Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big, will likely melt our hearts again.

The man who we all loved and hated at the same time, Mr. Big, is played by actor Chris Noth, 66.

Now, if you want to learn more about Noth’s life and career, just stay with us.

As a young child, Noth was driving everyone around crazy with his behavior. “I probably wasn’t getting the best education, and I was driving my mother half wild with anxiety and madness,” he told EW. “I was probably headed toward a lifestyle of possible juvenile crime, but only because it was fun.”

Shortly after finishing high-school, Noth understood that acting was his calling and he focused all his time and energy into making his dream come true.

“There was always so much going on; you were in class during the day and doing plays at night,” Noth said in an interview with Broadway. “It’s just a feast! That’s what I wanted. I started that way at Marlboro College, doing four plays in rep in the summer”

After after being part of a number of movies, including Law & Order, Noth got the role which helped his career skyrocket, that of Mr. Big.

Speaking of how he was chosen to be part of the series, which is one of the most popular until this day, the show’s creator, Darren Star, said they were considering offering it to Alec Baldwin first. Luckily for Noth, and most of us, that didn’t happen.

“I don’t really watch Law & Order, but I met with Chris Noth and thought he was perfect,” Star told EW. “I remember the first table read, how good he was. I’m not saying that Chris was Mr. Big, but he brought a lot of his own persona to the role.”

“It took off like a rocket,” Noth said of the time.

The role changed not only his career, but his life. All of a sudden, Noth became a sex symbol women started falling for.

One night, as he was walking out of a restaurant with his girlfriend, he recalls fans were totally surprised he was driving a Toyota. “Mr. Big would never ride in a Toyota,” a fan could be heard yelling. “I have been walking these streets and taking subways all of my adult life, and before I was just another face in the crowd,” Noth says. “It’s pretty annoying to be suddenly looked at as some exotic bird in the zoo.”

Youtube/MsMojo

Speaking of doing the reboot, Noth confessed he didn’t think he should do it at first, but he then realized it would disappoint the fans. ”I would be an idiot not to do it,” he said. ”There had been some stops and starts. Once I knew Michael Patrick King and Sarah Jessica and all of the girls were back on board, I knew we could do no wrong.”

In real life, Noth married his longtime girlfriend Tara in 2012 and they have two children together, Orion Christopher Noth, who was born in 2008, and Keats Noth, whom they welcomed last year.

Although he avoids speaking about his private life, back in 2008, Noth spoke about becoming a father for the first time at the age of 53. “It’s not something that I expected would happen, so it just goes to show you that life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans,” he told Broadway.

“He came out of the universe into my life, and now I have to stay in great shape so we can play sports together. He’s already very active and curious about everything; he’s starting to form words. I don’t usually talk to reporters about my baby because there seems to be this weird fascination out there with celebrities and babies. But I will say that he’s a wonder. That’s the main thing kids add back to your life—the wonder.”

Many fans believe that Orion resembles his father a lot, and well, we have to agree.

Friends actor Matt LeBlanc dropped fame to take care of his daughter who was diagnosed with brain disease at 11 months old

May 6, 2004, marked the end of an era! It’s the date the final episode of the cult series Friends aired. Millions of fans from all over the world agree that there never will be another show like this one, and we feel the same. What is interesting about the show is that today, 26 years after it premiered, Friends is as popular as back in the day as new generations discover the iconic series on Netflix. Honestly, I have watched it many times so far, but it somehow never grows old.

Among the legendary actors who made the group of six friends was Matt LeBlanc. The cast enjoyed international popularity, but Matt couldn’t enjoy it to the fullest because he was going through some dark times in his private life.

Matt LeBlanc | J. Merritt/FilmMagic

The actor married British model Melissa McKnight in 2003 and the two welcomed baby daughter in their life a year later. Marina Pearl LeBlanc was born on February 8, 2004, but just two years later, Matt and Melissa separated. They had joined custody of the girl.

Marina brought happiness into their parents’ lives and looked like a perfectly healthy baby, but that however, wasn’t true. When she turned 8 months old, Marina couldn’t crawl properly as she would always fell to the left side and experienced seizures. At 11 months old, the girl was diagnosed with cortical dysplasia. According to Children’s.com, “this condition occurs before a child is born, when developing brain cells, or neurons, fail to reach the parts of the brain for which they are genetically destined. As a result, those areas of the brain lack the appropriate neural connections to function properly.”

Matt and Melissa were told how the girl would experience difficulties walking and speaking, but the two, especially Matt, were more than willing to do all in their power to help their little daughter overcome the condition.

Matt dedicated his life to Marina and was by her side all the time. He always preferred hanging out with his girl over hanging out with the Hollywood elite. “I knew I wasn’t missing out on anything. I had dabbled with the celebrity world. I’d partied a bit. But there wasn’t anything there that could fulfill me. I mean, I have beers in the fridge at home,” Matt said in one occasion.

By the age of two, Marina outgrew the condition and today she’s a healthy 16-yeat-old lady who resembles her dad a lot and is thankful for everything he has done for her over the years and for always being there.

Matt spoke of fatherhood a lot and said it changed him forever. He said he didn’t have a good relationship with his own father whom he met for the first time when he was eight years old. “My dad has been married eight, nine, 10 times. He was a ladies’ man. Now he’s old. I don’t talk to him,” the Man With a Plan actor said.

He and Marina enjoy watching Friends together whenever it’s on. Speaking to Express UK, Matt said, “It’s still on all the time, so we’ll stop and watch it if we’re channel surfing and it pops up. She loves to ask me questions about it. She’ll say: ‘Was that real? Did you really eat that? What did that taste like? Ooh, you ate that off the floor? That’s gross! You’re so funny, Dad.’”

Marina is one lucky girl for having such a caring and loving father like Matt. He’s the father figure many dream of having in their life.

89-year-old woman has knitted over 450 cozy blankets for shelter dogs

When we think about it, if we want this world to be a much better place for each and every one of us, including all the animals we share it with, we need to care for one another. And no matter how little can we give, it may mean the world to someone.

Maisie Green is an 89-year-old lady who is making a profound change in the lives of the dogs who end up in shelters because of one reason or another. These creatures are spending their days waiting for the right person to enter through the door and choose them to be their loyal best friend until the end of their lives. But until that happens, many of the canines feel lonely and miss the warmth of a real home. Thankfully, Maisie is there to make their waiting a bit more cozy by knitting blankets for them.

So far, this sweet lady has knitted around 450 blankets and she’s not planning to stop.

Her huge love for dogs and knitting got blended in something extremely cute and useful, and now millions are praising her for her genuine act of kindness.

“I love knitting and I love dogs, so this combines both wonderfully! It takes me three days to knit a blanket and one day to knit a doggy coat. It keeps me busy and often, I like to knit whilst watching television. I’m delighted to be helping the four-legged residents at the center in some way,” the 89-year-old said, as per Bored Panda.

She says knitting keeps her busy and she usually does it while watching TV. Of course, she doesn’t find it hard, but pleasurable, because she knows a dog gets happier with each of her hand-made pieces.

“I’m delighted to be helping the four-legged residents at the center in some way,” she says.

The Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Basildon said: “Maisie regularly brings along her knitted donations and we are so grateful for her support. With the chill of the winter months really starting to creep up on us, I know our dogs are very pleased to put the items to good use – and love feeling extra cosy!”

Maisie, thank you for your love and commitment. You truly are one special lady.

Horse weighting 900 lb gets stuck in mud – Owner clings to him for three hours

How far would go for those you love? The answer is as far as it takes, right?

Nicole Graham from Melbourne, Australia owns 10 horses. One afternoon, she and her daughter Paris went for a horse ride when the animals suddenly got stuck in mud. Nicole somehow managed to release her daughter’s horse, while the other one, Astro, who weights around 900 lbs, couldn’t be released.

Sadly, as she was struggling to help the already exhausted animal, he got stuck even further. All Nicole could do at that point was to stay by Astro’s side and made sure she kept him calm until help arrived.

She stayed by the 17-year-old horse’s side for over three hours. Finally, help arrived and she felt relived.

Source: YouTube/ Associated Press

In order to be able to bring the big animal to safety was to give him some sedatives so that they could attach a harness to him for a tractor to pull him over. Luckily, the rescue mission was successful.

Speaking of the incident, Nicole was reported to have told The Geelong Advertiser: “It was terrifying. It was also heartbreaking to see my horse exhausted and struggling. I’ve been riding here for 20 years and never had a drama. I’ve never seen any signs and didn’t realize it was so boggy.”

One of the firefighters who was part of the rescue mission described the mud as quicksand. Stacey Sullivan, the vet who treated Astro of dehydration and sore muscles, praised Nicole and said: “A lot of horses don’t make it and I think without the owner there the chance of survival would have been a lot lower.”

Texas man paints his entire house pink and his neighbors are not happy

Different people love different things and what is appealing for some might be off-putting for others. Well, in the case of a man from Pflugerville, Texas, his pink house, which he loves and feels at ease at, is described as repulsive by mostly all of his neighbors.

Emilio Rodriguez, however, doesn’t care what others think as long as he’s happy with his unusual home.

Speaking of it, when we say it’s pink, we mean it. Starting from the roof, the walls, the bricks, and even the pillars and the gutters, everything is covered in pink. That this man is totally smitten with this color could also be seen from his tatooes, which are pink as well.

Source: YouTube Screenshot – CBS 17

What’s most, not only he isn’t planning on changing color as his neighbors demand, but he’s even considering getting a pink driveway and a pink car. As for those living around him, they believe that Emilio’s home is affecting the value of theirs in a negative way.

Emilio suffered a car accident in the past and was left paralyzed from the waist down and now he says that being surrounded with pink brings a strange comfort to him. And yes, he’s even planning on painting his wheelchair in his favorite color.

Source: YouTube Screenshot – CBS 17

The neighbors also complain that Emilio’s house doesn’t fit well with the “mountain view,” but there’s not really something that they can do about it.

“No HOA. I pre-planned this specifically because of that reason, so when people get mad I explain there is no HOA here,” He told CBS Austin. “Even if they made an HOA right here I’m already grandfathered in so we’re set. I did my homework beforehand.”

Well, there are also those who love this unique place. “Definitely it’s adding a twist to the neighborhood. There’s no other house like this,” Emmanuel Alvarado, a neighbor who lives a few blocks away shared with FOX7. “I would suggest to the neighbors to be open-minded. Because, you know, I think you should invest energy in to being unique. To being yourself and not let yourself be suppressed by society thinks is normal.”

What do you think of this? Would you consider living in a house like this?

Officer spots a child in backseat during traffic stop and tells the mom to follow him

Niya Sumter from Mississippi was driving her son to the doctor’s when she heard the sirens behind her. She truly hoped she didn’t do anything wrong and prayed she wouldn’t get a ticket. Sadly, that’s exactly what happened.

The officer who pulled her over, Bradley Sanders, noticed something unusual about this mother and her little one. The boy, who was sitting in the back of the vehicle, wasn’t in a child seat. Instead, little Kaemon was “strapped” in the seat and had a lot of wiggle room there.

Source: YouTube – 16 WAPT News Jackson

Officer Sanders could sense Niya was a caring mother. He assumed that she probably couldn’t afford a child seat, so he did something truly incredible.

After he wrote her the tickets, he asked her to follow him to the nearest Walmart. Niya was confused, but agreed to drive after the officer. Once there, he bought her a brand new child seat so that Kaemon could be safe while on the road.

However, it wasn’t the only thing he did for this single mother. He also told her he was going to void her speeding tickets in the courtroom.

Niya was so very thankful to this incredible man who cared for her son’s safety. At the end of the day, officer Sanders is a family man and knows how much effort as well as finances it takes to bring children up.

Niya believed that the story of the kindness she received that day was worth sharing, so she took to Facebook to write what happened. “Can I say how good god is headed to my son Dr. Apt Got Pulled Over Mr. Bradley Sanders he Gave Me 3 Tickets After giving me my tickets he said follow me let’s go buy your baby a car seat ! Due to Kaemon Being in a big boy seat and trying to get out of it while the police talking to me. He told me in January when I go to court he will throw them out I just thank god.”

Thank you, Officer Sanders. We need more people like you in the world.

10-year-old girl lost her life after rock crashed through car’s windshield

A young life was taken away in a bizarre accident which took place on July 26, in Idaho, when a semi-truck accidentally kicked up a rock from the road. The 4-inch rock then flung through the windshield of another car and struck a 10-year-old girl who was sitting at the passenger’s seat.

The girl’s father, Brad Horsley, immediately drove his daughter, Kambrie, to the Oneida County Hospital in Malad. Shortly after she was admitted, she was transferred to the Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, but unfortunately, nothing could be done. Kambrie lost her life and left her parents and her five siblings mourning her loss.

As reported by Idaho State Journal, prior to the tragic incident, the rock which killed Kambrie had been dislodged from the roadway. The police tracked down the driver of the semi-truck but he had no idea a life was lost that day.

After thorough investigation, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office determined that there was no wrongdoing involved in the events that led to Kambrie death.

Kambrie’s family described their Kam Kam as a sweet and loving girl “so full of life and love and always up for an adventure.”

The obituary, published on Horsley Funeral Homes, read: “She was always playing with someone’s child or talking to an adult she had just met.

“She loved all animals and was always happy to care for a new one. Her happy countenance shown about her always and she gave everyone the best hugs! Kambrie sped through her short life with such drive and intensity modeling love and inclusion in all she did.”

The devastated father who witnessed his girl losing her young life shared his heartbreak on Facebook and wrote just how much he loves and misses her. “Heaven gained the perfect angel today. She was the best all around girl,” Brad wrote. “I don’t know what I’ll do without her… Thank you for your thoughts, texts and prayers. Love my Kam Kam… Can’t wait to see you again. I’ll Love you forever. I know I’ll see you again!! Please continue to pray for us. This family will need it!!! She was the BEST. Families are forever!!!”

Rest in peace, Kam Kam.

This is all you need to know about Elizabeth, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s younger sister

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are one of the most famous twin sisters that we know. They started their acting careers at a very young age and have been under the spotlight ever since, because of one reason or another. Although acting is not their thing any longer, their lives have always been of great interest to the wide public and the media.

Shutterstock

Their younger sister, Elizabeth Olsen, is also pursuing a career in the film industry and she has already made a name for herself starring in a number of movies. In fact, according to Elizabeth herself, she wanted to become an actress from very young age. She recalls how her parents told her it was up to her to decide whether she wanted to be part of the industry or not.

“My parents said, ‘OK, well if that’s what you really want to do, then you have to know that you are going to risk not being a part of the sports team, you’re going to have to risk not being a part of ballet after school,’” Elizabeth Best Life. “And so, I did that for three months of my childhood, but it wasn’t worth it to me to work for a living.”

Shutterstock

Living in L.A. where everyone wants to try themselves as part of Hollywood, most of Elizabeth’s friends believed acting wasn’t a very cool profession as a lot of people they knew were doing it. However, young Elizabeth took drama classes while at high school and her dream of following into her sisters’ footsteps seemed more realistic than ever.

“My way in to being OK with the want of being an actor was through the theater, because it felt more academic and it felt less like the experience of celebrity and whatever it is,” she said.

“But it was more about the process, and the history, and the intellectual experience of what it means to collaborate and tell a story. And through thinking about theater from an academic perspective, I allowed myself to be OK with it. Which is sad that you have to give yourself a better reason to do something you want to do, but that’s what allowed me to want to pursue it in college.”

Elizabeth attended the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and spent a semester studying in Russia at the Moscow Art Theatre School. Soon after, she was offered minor roles and later the more influential ones followed.

She starred in Silent House, Peace, Love & Understanding and Martha Marcy May Marlene shortly after she graduated from college.

“I’m so lucky [director] Sean Durkin wanted to go with someone who had literally no film experience,” Elizabeth told Philadelphia Style. “I think the reason Sean liked the idea was because I didn’t know what I looked like on camera, and I didn’t care about what angle of my face looked good. It added to the awkwardness of Martha.”

Shutterstock

In 2013 Elizabeth starred in Kill Your Darlings in, and then in 2014 and 2015, the movies Godzilla and the international blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron followed.

She often speaks of the support and the advice she gets from her sisters. In her interview with Philadelphia Style, Elizabeth said of Mary-Kate and Ashley: “They’re very tight-lipped—notoriously so—and I was not caring what I was saying [in interviews] because I’d assumed no one would read it.

“That’s when we’d have conversations. They’d say, ‘You know, even if you don’t think anyone’s going to read this article, someone might pull the quote later for [something else].’ It’s all part of how you hope someone interprets you, and how they frame who you are and the work you do.”

Shutterstock

Recently, she starred in the television series WandaVision, as Wanda Maximoff, and it looks like Elizabeth’s career is skyrocketing. But besides being a celebrity already, she tends to keep a low profile and keep her privacy only for herself. That is something she learned from her sisters. Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar, the young actress said: “There are ways you can be private – my sisters are intimately private and I respect that,” Olsen explained. “They showed me that you can be private, but also accessible to journalists, for those reasons. It’s helpful and I learnt my value system from them. They’ve always had the greatest friends and so have I.

“People always ask, ‘was it hard for you to make friends once you started working?’ And I’m like, ‘what are you talking about? No.’ I already had those and the ones I made through work are great.”

We wish Elizabeth Olsen be as successful as she has been so far. We can’t wait to see her in future projects.

81-year-old man forced out of woods and jailed after living in a cabin “off the grid” for nearly three decades

David Lidstone, known as ‘River Dave,’ ended up in jail on July 15 and now his life story is going viral. Namely, this man has been living in a cabin placed in the woods of New Hampshire for over 27 years. There, on a tiny part of the 73 acres of land, he created his own little heaven, with a small garden where he grows his own fruits and vegetables, and has his chickens.

Now, the land’s owner, 86-year-old Leonard Giles, has reported Lidstone of squatting, although he only learned he was living there back in 2015.

Sadly, while in jail, Lidstone’s cabin had caught on fire, and the veteran and a father-of-four was told his place was destroyed. The blaze is currently investigated by authorities, as reported by the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office.

Source: YouTube/ WMUR-TV

River Dave was told he would be able to get out of jail in three terms. He either agrees to leave, the land’s owner knock down his cabin, or 30 days pass without any action. Now that his cabin is no longer there, judge ruled he can be released.

One thing is certain, Lidstone isn’t planning on leaving the place he called home for the last three decades. “I will sit here until I rot, or I will go home,” he said, as per AP News.

Most of his belongings had been taken out of the cabin before the mysterious fire took place and no animals were spotted nearby, neither leaving nor deceased.

As his story went viral, a huge number of people offered their land and cabins for him to live in.

At the same time, a petition for him to get back to his old place has been organized and over 6250 people have signed it so far. “He is a veteran, a local legend, a homesteader and most importantly human being,” petition organizer Tyler Groves wrote.

“I’d like to petition for Dave to spend his years on the land. He’s always willing to help anyone coming down the river and he always has fresh produce or eggs for the campers.

“He shouldn’t owe anybody anything. The property he’s on has a verbal agreement that he could stay there for the remainder of his life but however there is no proof of it how ever he’s been on the piece of land for over two decades with no harm to anyone.”

Lidstone’s estranged brother, Vincent, said: “What they’re doing to him isn’t right for anybody, whether he’s my brother or anybody’s brother. He’s 81 years old. Leave him alone.”

Jodie Gedeon, a kayaker and and one of Lidstone’s friends added “He’s just a really, really, big caring guy, and just chooses to live off the grid… it really is about humanity, it really is about compassion, empathy… he’s not hurting anybody.”

During all those years, Lidstone has been living peacefully, and to take his home from him at this age is so unfair. We hope he will find a way to build his cabin there again.
