David Bowie is “not my late husband, he’s my husband,” says Iman who never wants to remarry

David Robert Jones, or David Bowie as we all know him, was considered a leading figure in the music industry and one of the most famous and most influential musicians of the 20th century. Unfortunately, this great man left this world in 2016 after a battle with cancer. He left behind a legacy and a number of iconic music pieces that would be around in the years to come.

Bowie had been married to entrepreneur and former supermodel Iman for 26 years. They had daughter Alexandria “Lexi” Jones together, who was still a teenager when her father died.

Today, almost 6 years after his passing, Iman spoke of the sorrow she felt and the presence of her husband that she feels every single day.

Speaking to Today, Iman revealed how her daughter asked her if she would ever remarry, to what she answered “no.”

“People say to me when they talk, ‘Oh I loved your late husband,’ and I said, ‘He’s not my late husband, he’s my husband,’ so that’s how I feel about it. This was truly the love of my life, and I just wait until I meet him again.”

In the process of helping Lexi deal with the grief, Iman realized she didn’t dealt with the grief herself.

“I had a daughter who was a teenager when her father passed away, so I was really more concentrated in helping her go through her grief,” Iman shared. “But I thought, oh yes, I did go through my grief, but I actually did not.”

“Last year I went to my house estate, this beautiful property that I haven’t spent time there since my husband passed away, and there I was stuck for the year and I was forced to deal with it,” she continued. “All of a sudden grief knocked on the door and became a companion. And I went through all of it, and now it is the joy that I remember.”

Iman also recalled the time she and Bowie first met. Apparently, he felt it was love at first sight. She, on the other hand, needed few months to get there.

After their first date, Iman had to travel to Paris for a runway show. Once she entered her hotel room, she was stunned by the incredible sight. The entire place was filled with beautiful Gardenias that Bowie arranged for her. When she returned, he waited for her at the airport.

“Early on, we were walking down the street and my shoelace came undone and he got on his knees to tie it for me and I thought he’s the one,” she told People.

The muse of a number of designers, among which Gianni Versace, Thierry Mugler, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan and Yves Saint Laurent, paid tribute to her late husband by creating a fragrance named Love Memoir. It can be purchased exclusively at HSN and hsn.com.

“There are days that are harder than others but the memories are not all sad of why the person isn’t here. The memories are now of how great it was. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I had 26 years. So I have that to sustain me,” she said.

“I definitely feel his presence,” Iman added, “especially when I look out over the glorious sunsets at our home because David loves sunsets. So in that way he is ever present.”

What these two had was truly special. We are so very sad for Iman’s loss. Rest in peace, David Bowie, you live through your music.

Man takes chance on jobless handyman standing on side of road begging for a job

The ongoing pandemic imposed “a new normal” where we are expected to limit the social contacts to the minimum. A number of businesses were forced to close down and that left millions of people jobless and struggling to make ends meet. One of those affected by the pandemic was a man named Robert Simpson who not only experienced a hard time landing a job, but lost his home too. He and his girlfriend, along with her 6-year-old son, were forced to move into a hotel where they pay rent. But with his only income being his disability check of $1,000 a month, living was hard.

Unable to provide for his family, Robert decided to try his luck by standing at a corner at the Hurstbourne exit off Interstate 64 in Louisville with a sign in his hands saying, “Handyman. 25 years exp. Need work.”

He stood there for days before someone snapped a photo of him and shared it on Instagram along with the caption, “This man was out on Hurstborne (Louisville, Ky) today. He isn’t asking for money, he just wants to work. If you know any businesses that may be in need of a handyman please pass his number on.”

Luckily, the photo caught the attention of the right person, Kyle Kark, the owner of Greenstar Home Remodeling, company offering remodeling services, mainly of offices.

Even though he had never met Robert before, Kyle decided to give him a call and offer him a steady job. Just what Robert needed and hoped for.

Speaking to WLKY News Louisville, Robert said, “It feels excellent. It’s a blessing. I didn’t even ask him what he was paying. I just came. And he’s been taking care of me ever since.”

Kyle even drives Robert to work every day as he doesn’t have a car. On top of that, Kyle organized a fundraiser to help Robert with his rent and to ease his life even further.

“Green Star Home has had the honor and privilege to work with Rob the Handyman today,” the GoFundMe page read.

“Though we will continue to help Rob and his family out when and where we can, we ask our community to also provide the much needed support.

Rob is a humble man and has not once asked for a dime he has not earned, but he and his family are without essential needs, such as a vehicle and a permanent place to stay, so it is Green Star’s hope that you will join us in supporting our neighbor Rob and his family by providing the funds needed to get him back on his feet.

We thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.”

The page helped raise over $24,000. One person who donated $1,000 wrote, “God bless you and your family. I am honored to help you to gain a fresh start. You are the best this Country has to offer! A real role model.”

Body of missing 2-year-old Emma Sweet has been recovered from White River

Rescue teams consisting of the Bartholomew County Water Rescue and Recovery Team, other water rescue agencies, as well as a number of volunteers, were searching for 2-year-old Emma Sweet after her father Jeremy was spotted by duck hunters in his partially submerged pick up truck last Friday. Both Jeremy and Emma were reported missing by the girl’s mother, but at the time Jeremy was found, little Emma was nowhere to be seen.

The extensive and thorough search ended up with Emma’s body being recovered from White River, some 2.5 miles downstream from where Jeremy was discovered. The body was found next to a pile of debris in the water, as reported by Yahoo.

Emma’s mother and uncle were also part of the search teams.

In a Facebook post on the Bartholomew County Sheriff page, Sheriff Matt Myers wrote while the search was still ongoing, “I have never in my 30 years in law enforcement seen such cooperation and teamwork in an investigation. I had no doubt that the men and women searching for Emma would find her.”

Speaking of the girl’s mother and family, the sheriff added, “I pray the Lord to comfort them during this difficult time.

“I again want to praise the first responders and all of those who came out to help search for Emma.”

It remains unclear how the pick up truck ended in the water. In the meantime, Jeremy was placed on the 72-hour hold.

Detectives spoke to him several times and he has given conflicting stories about how he and his daughter ended up in the water.

Once he’s out of the hospital, where he is being treated for hypothermia, he would be taken to the Bartholomew County Jail, as per sheriff Myers.

Rest in peace, Emma!

The short-lived marriage of Kenny Chesney and Renée Zellweger

Hollywood is the place where the magic happens. Besides all those glorious million-dollar worth productions, it is also known for the love stories of many celebrities who hope to find the right one in a colleague or a co-star. However, what is typical for most Hollywood marriages is that they don’t usually last, and the one between the Bridget Jones’ Diary star Renée Zellweger and country singer Kenny Chesney is an example of that.

From the very start, the public believed that this couple was a bit unlike. Renée was reaching for the stars at the time, while Kenny already had a number of famous songs under his belt, so they were both famous in their own right.

What they had in common was that they were both from Texas, but that wasn’t reason enough for their union to succeed.

The two were reported to have first met during NBC’s broadcast “Concert of Hope,” a tsunami aid telethon in January 2005. Apparently, Kenny learned that Renée was trying to “pass him a note.”

“When the broadcast wrapped, [Chesney] went over [to Zellweger] and said, ‘I hear you are trying to pass me a note — don’t let the principal find out,’” a friend of Rene’s told People.

Before this meeting, Renée was dating other people. She was shortly engaged to actor Jim Carrey and dated musician Jack White, lead singer of The White Stripes.

At the time, Kenny already had 20 albums and more than 40 top 10 singles on the US Billboard Hot Country, while Renée charmed the world with her roles in Jerry Maguire and the iconic Bridget Jones Diary.

Once Renée and Kenny announced they were dating, the news took the magazines by storm. Few weeks later, they revealed they tied the knot during a private ceremony at St. John at Kenny’s place in the gated community of Peter Bay.

“It’s a quick, surprise wedding, kind of a shocker for all of us here in Hollywood who did not see it coming,” Mark Steins of Entertainment Tonight wrote at the time.

What came as a bigger shock was that just four months after saying I do, Renée asked her marriage to be annulled. Neither of them wanted to speak of the reasons which led to the decision at the time, but over the years, they both opened up and tried to make things more clear.

Shutterstock

Apparently, Rene listed “fraud” as the reason for her marriage to be annulled, and that caused quite a stir because people started speculating that Kenny could be gay. The actress the felt the urge to comment on those speculations, saying, “the miscommunication of the objective of their marriage at the start is the only reason for this annulment.”

Further, she was reported to have told Celebrity Nine, “That made me sad. It made me sad that somehow people were using that as a way to be cruel and calling someone gay as a pejorative, which has fateful consequences. Of course, there’s the bigger-picture problem of why anyone had to make up a story at all.”

Some believed the problem started at their honeymoon. “Well, we did our honeymoon in Little Rock at a show. I had to go back on the road, so we went to Little Rock, Oklahoma City, Dallas and San Antonio. And then I flew here. So it was not that great of a honeymoon,” the musician reported back in the day.

During an appearance at Oprah, Kenny tried to explain what really happened between him and his now ex-wife. He said his life was sort of packed in a box, and Renée somehow didn’t fit in that box.

”I panicked. It was out of the box. Oh my God, but it’s tough. It really is tough, and she’s a sweet soul, no doubt about it, but I just wasn’t ready…. This is the first time I’ve actually talked about it, but that’s what happened.”

This, however, didn’t put a stop to the rumors, so in 2009, Kenny had an interview with Playboy, as reported by CMT News, and went further on to explain, “That is the most unbelievable thing in the world … What guy who loves girls wouldn’t be angry about that sh—? I didn’t sign up for that. I think people need to live their lives the way they want to, but I’m pretty confident in the fact that I love girls. (laughs) I’ve got a long line of girls who could testify that I am not gay.”

Although this celeb marriage was short-lived, it managed to cause controversy. We believe both Renée and Kenny are glad this period of their lives is behind them as they both continued be great at what they do when it comes to their professional lives.

Amber Rachdi became a role model for millions of people after she lost over 260 pounds on “My 600-lb Life”

Every journey starts with a single step, and the road to a healthier lifestyle for the “star” of the third season of My 600–lb Life, Amber Rachdi, was challenging and burdensome. It took this young lady five years for her to get her life back. This is her story.

Youtube/HealthyWays

Amber struggled with her weight basically her whole life. When this Oregon girl was just five, she weighted 160 pounds. She struggled with eating disorder that later led to anxiety disorder and anxiety attacks. Sadly, in order to calm down, Amber would always turn to food. She admitted she found comfort in eating and her parents cooked her meals whenever she was anxious or nervous.

When Amber was 23, her life didn’t resemble that of those her age in any way. While her friends were out partying, she was “imprisoned” in her home and had a hard time performing even the simplest of tasks such as getting down the stairs.

The only time she went out was when she and boyfriend Rowdy, who lived with her and her parents, went shopping together. Even then, she was moving around using a mobility scooter.

Youtube/HealthyWayse

The worst of all was that although Amber hated the condition she put herself in, she believed there was nothing that could be done and instead of turning to a healthier way of living, she would just eat more and more with each passing day.

“I’ve tried so hard, so many times, to change the way I eat. But I can’t. I’m already such a failure. Why not just keep failing? I hate being in public. I feel like a sideshow,” she said.

However, her wake-up call was when she was told that in case she doesn’t change her life, she wouldn’t likely reach her 30th birthday.

Youtube/HealthyWays

At the age of 23, Amber met the doctor who would change her life, famous Dr. Nowzaradan, also known as “Dr Now” who’s part of the TLC’s show My 600-lb Life.

However, on her way to Houston, Texas, where the show is filmed, she experienced an unpleasant situation. Her wheelchair couldn’t hold her and broke down, so her father had to wheel her through the airport in an over-sized luggage cart. On the plane, Amber was sitting on two sits and could hardly squeeze into the row.

Youtube/HealthyWays

Amber was hoping to get the so much anticipated gastric bypass to reduce her enlarged stomach, but that wasn’t as easy as she thought. Dr. Now said her condition was worrying and asked her to lose at least 20 pounds before he considered operating on her.

She was determined to continue her journey and her diet now consisted of mainly vegetables and chicken. Her family moved to Houston to help her stay on the right path, although her boyfriend continued eating junk food in Amber’s presence but she didn’t fall into temptation. Instead, she started going to the gym. “Starting to walk again has been difficult,” she explained. “It hurts and it’s hard.”

Youtube/HealthyWays

Amber lost 17 pounds, and Dr. Now decided it was enough for the surgery to take place. Her stomach was reduced from the size of a football to the size of a baseball. It was the new start she was longing for for so long, and she knew there was no going back if she wanted to be happy and healthy again.

Over the course of a year, brave and determined Amber lost 267lb, going from size 6X to 2X.

She said her journey was hard and described it as a “crummy experience,” according to the In Touch Weekly. “They exert a certain kind of pressure and lack a human touch sometimes,” she wrote. “They assumed we would be difficult and were rather forceful with their demands? It didn’t feel good, respectful, or mutually beneficial working with the production. There are lovely individuals on their payroll, and I met some incredible people, but it definitely wasn’t an experience I want to repeat.”

After Amber’s family got back to Oregon, she and her boyfriend stayed in Houston and could finally go on their second date outside her house.

“I surprised myself.” Amber said. “I’m shopping for myself, I’m eating healthy and I’m working out. I’ve taken control of my life.”

Amber inspired millions of people and was dubbed a role model by many.

Today, five years after her journey started, Amber is getting married to her new boyfriend, as she and Rowdy split but remained good friends.

She wants everyone to know that taking back control over your life is not always easy but it’s well worth it.

Speaking about her life-changing journey, Amber wrote on Instagram, “I was REAL fat. Now, I’m just normal fat. Life ain’t bad.”

We wish her only the best in life.

Girl raises $2K for veterans through her lemonade stand

Children have the purest souls. They always speak their mind and do impressive things. The parents of 8-year-old Sammie Striker of Saginaw, Michigan, have a lot to be proud of because of their daughter. You see, Sammie isn’t an ordinary girl who dreams of buying herself a bunch of toys and fancy clothes. She knows that somebody out there could use the money she earns for much practical purposes.

Sammie “runs” a lemonade stand and all the money she makes go to a special place, the VA Hospital in Saginaw.

Source: WILX News 10

Although she’s young, she understands the sacrifice of our veterans so she wants to repay them for their service in the most adorable way. Knowing she collects money for the veterans, most of her customers don’t ask for a change when they buy a cup of her juicy refreshment. Many leave $10 or even $20.

Last year, she sold 65 gallons of lemonade and made $1,500. This year, she set her goal to $2,000, and thanks to everyone who stopped by her stand, she reached it.

Sammie presented the hospital with a check of $2,111.

“They said that we need more people like you in the community because we can take all the help we can get for the hospitals and because there’s a lot of people that need help,” Sammie said of the hospital’s officials.

Jeffrey Wendt, an official with the VA Hospital, said that they are impressed with Sammie’s work and her dedication to her cause. “It’s a great message to other students and other young people to be as generous and as hard working as she is,” he said.

For next year, Sammie is hoping to raise $5,000 that she’s planning on donating again.

What a thoughtful thing to do.

Kidnapper grabs pre-teen, but soon realizes he messed with the wrong group of girls

Four girls who were out having fun and hanging out were suddenly attacked by one man who tried to kidnap one of them. He pulled the girl by the hair and started pulling her towards him. It was a moment of shock for both the girl in question and her friends.

“He looked really weird,” Allison Eickhoff told Inside Edition. “He grabbed me and he, like, covered my mouth and he grabbed my head. He said, ‘You’re coming with me,’ and I was, like, in shock.”

Source: YouTube/ Inside Edition

Luckily, the rest of the girls, among which Allison’s sister, acted quickly and prevented the worst case scenario from taking place all because of our favorite beverage; coffee. Having their huge cups of coffee in their hands, the quick-thinking girls threw them at the alleged abductor and started hitting him on the head.

“I grabbed my drink and chucked it at his head. I tried, I punched him in the head,” Lauren told ABC News. “Seeing that your little sister was going to get taken is very scary.”

The police arrived at the scene just in time to arrest the predator, 22-year-old Bruce Hipkins who has since been charged with a multitude of cases including unlawful imprisonment, assault and battery, and two counts of criminal sexual conduct. His bail was set at $250,000.

The girl’s bravery could also be seen on Hipkins’ mugshot, which shows his shirt visibly covered in coffee stains.

The girls’ dad, Aaron Eickhoff, has taught his daughters how to act in self-defense and his glad those lesson came in handy when they needed them the most.

“Punch ’em, kick ’em, anything to get away and always punch in the throat … they go and stop breathing,” Allison shared some of the tricks with Inside Edition.

Millington Police Chief Jason Oliver was pretty impressed with the girls’ act and how they saved themselves. “The girls thought fast and did the right thing by fighting back,” he said.

The girls shared a piece of advice with others, saying to “always fight back because you always have a chance.”

Donald Trump met up with Kyle Rittenhouse days after he was found not guilty

The trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, which ended with him being found not guilty, attracted the attention of the wide public. And while some believed he acted in self-defense the night he killed two people and wounded one, others were convinced he needed to be found guilty of all the charges and jailed for life.

On the night of August 25, 2020, Rittenhouse left his home in Antioch, Illinois, and went Kenosha, Wisconsin, holding a weapon. He claimed he drove to Kenosha in order to protect businesses from the rioters protesting against the police in the shooting of Jacob Blake.

Rittenhouse faced charges of first-degree reckless homicide and first-degree intentional homicide, amongst others, with the second of those carrying a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole. The entire time, he claimed that he killed his victims, Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, and wounded third, because he acted in self-defense.

Amid his trial, a poll asked the public to take a stand, and the results showed that two-thirds of Republicans believed he should be acquitted, while three-quarters of Democrats thought he should be convicted.

After reaching a verdict and finding Rittenhouse not guilty, he went on to speak of his case, saying that it was a classic example of prosecutorial misconduct. In an interview with right-wing host Tucker Carlson, Rittenhouse said, “It wasn’t Kyle Rittenhouse on trial in Wisconsin; it was the right of self-defense on trial.”

He then went on to explain, “I believe there needs to be change. I believe there’s a lot of prosecutorial misconduct — not just in my case, but in other cases. And it’s just amazing to see how much a prosecutor can take advantage of somebody. If they did this to me, imagine what they could have done to a person of color who doesn’t maybe have the resources I do or isn’t widely publicized, like my case.”

One of the public figures who stood by Rittenhouse’s side from day one was former President Donald Trump. Six days after the trial started back in 2020, while Trump was still POTUS, he was reported saying, “He was trying to get away from them, I guess, it looks like. I guess he was in very big trouble. He probably would have been killed,” referring to the shooting.

Days after getting out of prison, not surprisingly, Rittenhouse paid Trump a visit at his Mar-A-Lago resort in Florida. The two shared a photo on Twitter on which they have huge grins on their faces.

After the meeting, Trump had an hour-long interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, during which, among the rest, he discussed meeting Rittenhouse and his mother.

“Kyle, I got to know him a little bit. He called. He wanted to know if he could come over and say hello because he was a fan, unlike the other guy,” Trump said.

Referring to the trial, Trump added, “He should never have been put through that. That was prosecutorial misconduct,” calling Kyle “a really nice young man.”

Army veteran with terminal cancer walks his seven daughters down the aisle before dying

Most women dream of getting married to the love of their life and having their father walk them down the aisle. However, only the luckiest ones get to experience this joy.

William “Willie” Shelton, a U.S. Army veteran and a father of seven daughters, always hoped to walk his girls down the aisle on their most special day. Sadly, after he was diagnosed with brain cancer and was only given weeks to live, this dream of his became very distant, almost impossible to be fulfilled.

His wife Cheryl was devastated. The thought of losing her husband broke her heart, but there was still one thing she could do for him. As one of their daughters, Emily Flinn, got married at a courthouse before, Cheryl decided to organize a wedding ceremony in the family’s backyard. However, not only Emily, but the rest of Willie’s daughters were dressed in wedding gowns, and he got to walk each and every one of them down the aisle.

Facebook / KTVU Fox 2

He won’t be there on the day they marry, but at least they will have one special memory of their dad to hold and to cherish.

The ceremony was organized in just three days time with the help of many kindhearted individuals, including David’s Bridal, Taylor Elchert Photography, and a hair studio, as well as local businesses and the LifeCare Hospice.

Facebook / KTVU Fox 2

“We had this idea we put together in three days. We got all the wedding gowns for the girls and hospice helped us out a great deal with some of the planning,” Cheryl told Fox 8 News Cleveland.

“I always assumed that my dad would be there to walk me down the aisle and when the possibility was there that he wasn’t going to be able to — this was everything,” said Lindsey Shelton, one of Willie’s daughters.

Unfortunately, Willie passed away two weeks after the touching ceremony took place. He was 44.

You can take a look at the beautiful event in the video below. Rest in peace Willie.

Dying baby has only weeks to live, his parents are trying to complete his bucket list

There is no greater pain than that of losing a child. Watching your most precious jewel struggle and fights for their life while there is nothing you can do to ease their pain has to be the most heartbreaking thing ever. Unfortunately, some parents experience this heartbreak and are forced to say that last goodbye to their child.

Christine and Chris McArdle received devastating news when they were told their 9-month-old baby boy Brice had Embryonal tumors with multilayered rosettes (ETMR). He had to undergo a number of surgeries and chemo treatments, but that didn’t help much. Instead, the parents were told that there was nothing left to be done and that sweet Brice had between two to twelve weeks to live.

Source: Facebook/Chris McArdle

Instead of spending that time crying, Christine and Chris decided to make the most out of it and complete a bucket list which included a bunch of fun activities.

On Monday, they went to America’s biggest mall where Brice could spend some time playing at the kid-friendly attractions, including merry-go-round.

They also visited a science museum, a railroad museum, and had Star Wars experience.

Source: Facebook/Chris McArdle

Brice spent most of his final days at hospice and his mom and dad took as much time off of work as they could, with their colleagues donating work shifts and even money.

Chris said, “We got the news that basically it’s a done deal, we both just decided we are not gonna work. We are going to spend every waking moment with him we can and we trust God with the results of that.” Christine added, “All the things we imagined doing with Brice, all in one four to twelve week period. All the things we thought we’d be doing when he was a toddler, we want to do now.”

Unfortunately, baby Brice died on August 10 and left his parents’ hearts filled with grief. They are glad his last days were filled with fun. Rest in peace, little one.

Lieutenant Weaver was killed in Afghanistan – Days after his funeral his wife found hidden files on his laptop

When something is so beautiful, even though it happened quite some time ago, it’s still worth talking about and sharing, such an amazing show of Love you could ever see!

It was back in 2010, and 1st Lieutenant Todd Weaver was in Afghanistan, unfortunately, it was there that he lost his life, killed by an improvised explosive device.

Emma, his widow, was completely devastated, his young not even one year old daughter, Kylie, would never get to meet her father.

Todd was given a hero’s funeral back on American soil and buried in the Arlington National Cemetery.

Such a sad thing that Emma and Kylie never got to say goodbye to the loving father, Todd never got the chance to tell them all his feelings before he left too, well, so Emma thought….

Emma was at her computer, a couple of days after the funeral when she found something breathtaking. Just staring at her on her computer desktop was a folder with two ‘Word documents’, one called “Dear Emma” and another called “Dear Kiley”.

Her Loving husband Todd must have written the letters before he went out to Afghanistan, just in case the worse came to worse.

Such beautiful letters are a testament to the love he had for them both, and that of a hero and proud father!

Read the two amazing and beautiful letters:

KTVU/Facebook

The first letter is from Todd to his wife, Emma:

Dear Emma:

Well if you are reading this, I guess I did not make it home and therefore, I was not able to remind you again of how much I love you.

I love you so much baby and I will always love you. Although I may not be here right now, take comfort in the fact that I am watching over you right now.

I am not gone and I will always be with you in spirit. I know this time must be hard for you but I also know how strong you are.

Never forget that God knew what was best for us before we were even born. Take comfort in that. This happened for a reason. Although you may not believe it now, you will one day.

I want you to know just how important you are to me. I could not ask for a more caring, beautiful and loving wife. The memories that we have shared over the last few years have been the best of my life. Although it may seem like my life was cut short, I lived a life that most can only dream of. I married the perfect woman. I have a beautiful daughter that amazed me every day.

I even had two great dogs — at least most of the time. I couldn’t ask for anything more. If you feel sad, just think back to the memories that we shared. Look at our daughter and how beautiful she is.

Be strong for her. Remind her about her Daddy and tell her that I loved her more than anything else in the world. Her birth was the best day of my life and she was the best thing that ever happened to me. Her smile and laughter represent all that is good and beautiful in this world.

Tell her that Daddy is in heaven now and will watch over her and protect her every minute of every day. I love you Emma. But never be afraid to do what you need to do to be happy. It is so important that you continue to find happiness in your life. Although you may think this is impossible right now, have faith.

Much better times are coming. You and Kiley have a wonderful life ahead of you and I am so happy to have shared some of it with you.

I love you.
Your loving Husband,
Todd

KTVU/Facebook

The second is from Todd to his 9-month-old daughter, Kiley:

Dear Kiley, My Sweetie:

Although you may not remember me, I want you to know how very much your Daddy loves you.

I left for Afghanistan when you were 9 months old.

Leaving you was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.

You are so very special to me sweetie — you are truly a gift from God.

The best day of my life was the day you were born.

Every time I saw you smile my heart would just melt.

You were my sweetie — my life was not complete until you were born.

I am so sorry I will not be able to see you grow up.

But remember, your Daddy is not gone. I am in heaven now smiling down on you every day.

You are so very lucky to have such a wonderful Mom to take care of you.

Make sure you are good for her and help her out whenever you can.

Always remember to say your prayers at night and be thankful for all your many blessings.

Never forget how important and special you are to so many people.

We love you so very much. When you get older and start school, do your best and try to learn as much as you can about the world you live in.

Always be nice and caring to others and you will discover that the world will be nice to you.

But when things aren’t going your way, never forget that God knows what is best for you and everything will work out in the end.

You have such a bright and beautiful future ahead of you.

Have fun. Enjoy it. And remember, your Daddy will always be proud of you and will always love you.

You are and will always be my sweetie.

With very much love,
Your Daddy

Not a single thing can replace their loss, but it’s still amazing that Todd was able to write these letters before he died AND that Emma found them and read them!

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family!

Steve Harvey is becoming a fashion guru thanks to change in fashion

America’s showbiz would never be what it is today without Steve Harvey being part of it. This extraordinary man is a true heartthrob adored by millions, but what many don’t know is that his life story goes from rags to riches.

Harvey experienced a tough childhood because his family didn’t have much money, but both his mom and dad were very supportive of his aspirations.

Growing up, young Harvey dreamed of becoming an entertainer. Once, he even shared that dream of his with his classmates after his teacher asked them to write an essay about the job they want to do when they grow up. When the teacher read what Harvey wrote, she started laughing and told him to dream of something else because he would never become a celebrity, referring to his stuttering.

This broke Harvey’s heart, but at the same time, it made him work even harder because he wanted to prove that teacher wrong. Years after that event, Harvey not only outgrew his stuttering thanks to a local deli man who taught him how to slow down his speech and calm down while talking, but made a name for himself, too.

Speaking to Oprah, Harvey confessed that once he became a household name, he sent his teacher TV every year for Christmas so that she could see him.

After working several jobs, Harvey finally got to perform stand-up comedy in 1985. Eventually, he landed his first headline gig at the Bruce Ayer’s Comedy Club in Birmingham, Alabama. After winning $50 at a comedy competition, Harvey knew comedy was his calling.

“I quit my job the next day,” Harvey recalled. “I informed my supervisor that I was leaving to pursue a career in comedy. My boss discouraged me from applying by telling me: ‘Steve, you’re not even funny.’”

Harvey often speaks of the years he was homeless and how hard it was for him to make ends meet.

“It was crushing,” Harvey told People. “I realized, ‘You’re on your own. You have nothing or no one.’ All I knew was that I could make people laugh.”

Luckily, he got more and more gigs and started earning some money, but at the time, he divorced his wife and around 75% of his income was going to his ex and his twins, so he didn’t have much money on his own.

Things started becoming more and more unbearable for Harvey. He recalled he was using a hotel restroom once and was forced to stay inside for hours until of the guests left. He then sat down on the floor and broke down. Tears started falling down his face and he though he couldn’t take that kind of life any longer, but a voice told him not to quit.

“I sat down and started crying, but a voice said, ‘If you keep going, I’m going to take you places you’ve never been,’” Harvey told People. “It was like God said, ‘Don’t quit, you’re almost there.”

And that voice was right. Shortly after the incident, Harvey got to host Showtime at the Apollo. Around the same time, he landed his show The Steve Harvey Show.

Later, he appeared in the fantastic classic The Original Kings of Comedy alongside Bernie Mac. He even wrote books which became bestsellers and became a famous name in America. However, it was after he started hosting the iconic Family Feud that Harvey gained a worldwide fame. His unique approach to the show and the contestants put him on the pedestal, and as it looks, he’s there to stay.

In 2007, Harvey married the love of his life, Marjorie Bridges. The two often share photos of each other wearing matching outfits and people love it.

One thing that became Harvey’s signature, besides his mustache of course, are his suits. Over the years, he’s changed his style and it’s safe to say that he turned into a fashion guru.

Source: Youtube/FamilyFeud

At first, Harvey was only allowed to pick a suit in black, dark blue, or grey color for the show, but once the producers noticed the style he rocked on the red carpet and in his private life they decided to let him dress like that for Celebrity Family Feud.

“It was sort of strange because I dress like this when I’m not at work, but I’m always photographed at work. And after I hired Elly and we did [the] NFL Honors [awards show] two years ago, the people at Celebrity Family Feud said, ‘Why don’t we let Steve dress like that on Celebrity Family Feud?” And that opened up the door. Because on Celebrity Family Feud, the way they shot the show, I had to wear the same suit every show—I could just pick a dark blue or black or a gray,” Harvey told GQ.

“And Facebook Watch came along and said, ‘We don’t want you to dress like you did on your talk show. We want you to dress like you do in your day-to-day.” So I went to Elly and said, “Okay, man, they’re going to let me do my thing. I need your help to help me get the stuff that I like, because I don’t know where to buy half of this stuff.

“So that was the beginning of it right there: they took the shackles off and didn’t require that I dress as a game show host all the time,” he added.

Having in mind that this incredible man’s net worth is around $200 million, it doesn’t come as a surprise he loves wearing famous brand names such as Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, and many more.

One thing Harvey would never change, however, are his mustache.

“You come in here talking about, ‘We going to take the mustache off,’ you will lose your job. You cannot take the mustache off, so everything got to work around the mustache, man,” he said.

“I took the mustache off when I was in college when I was pledging. When I took it off, I discovered something: the distance from the top of my top lip to the tip of my nose is about four feet. It looks like a sheet of plywood if I take my mustache off. So that can’t happen, partner.”

Steve Harvey is one of the best of the best. A true inspiration!

Mom who gave birth on life support for COVID-19 meets baby for the first time

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic affected millions of people, one way or another. As many lost their income due to the huge number of businesses which collapsed, others, the most unfortunate ones, lost their lives.

The bad thing is that the virus is still here and spreading, and it looks like we are unable to put a stop to it no matter how hard we try. But hopefully, better days are coming.

Autumn Carver was 33 weeks pregnant when both she and her husband Zach contracted the virus. Zach’s health wasn’t affected drastically, but Autumn’s condition was getting worse and worse with each passing day, so she was rushed to the Methodist Hospital and was put on a ventilator. Because of the severity of her condition, doctors had to deliver her baby via C-section.

Little Huxley was born on August 27 and stayed at the hospital for 10 days. Sadly, his mom was on life support. Her lungs almost collapsed and her future was uncertain.

Luckily, as time passed by, Autumn’s condition improved, and finally, after nearly two months, she was able to hold her baby boy.

Speaking of the touching encounter between this mother and her baby boy, husband Zach told Good Morning America, “A surprise conversation with a doctor this morning brought us out of isolation and a plan for Autumn to meet Huxley. Same convo advised us that Autumn Carver’s tracheotomy would be switched out to a smaller one so she could have a speaking devise attached to it.

“At 3 pm today she met our son and it was an amazing moment needless to say. Her parents, one of her best friends and many nurses and doctors witnessed the special moment. I don’t know if there was a dry eye in the area. Later this afternoon I got to hear Autumn say ‘I love Zach’. What an amazing day.

“We have a long way to go, but a good day through this was much needed. Autumn says thank you for all the prayers and support along the way. God bless you.”

He added that the entire experience was very emotional for everyone.

Although she was able to be taken off life support, Autumn was told she would need lungs transplant, but as time passed by, her health improved.

“We went from she’s going to die, to she’s going to need a full lung transplant to she’s going to go home,” Zach told Good Morning America. “It’s an absolute miracle.”

This mom of three is one of the bravest individuals we’ve ever met. Her love for her kids and her husband made her fight hard, and she eventually ended up a winner.

Man who was wrongfully convicted walks free after 24 years in prison

We can never imagine what it must feel like to be wrongfully convicted and to spend years in prison knowing you haven’t committed the crime you are found guilty of. Many of these people are simply unable to have their voice heard and have no one to turn to. Luckily, a number of organizations offer their legal services to such people and bring a ray of hope when they decide to take their cases.

After serving 24 years for a crime he didn’t commit, 46-year-old Dontae Sharpe finally experienced freedom. He could again feel the breeze on his skin and the liberation he longed for.

Sharpe received a life sentence back in 1995 when a witness, then 15-year-old Charlene Johnson, testified she saw him killing George Radcliffe in an incident described by the police as drug deal.

Shortly after Sharpe started serving his sentence, Johnson recanted her testimony, but no one was willing to take a look at the case with fresh eyes. It just went back and forth between state and federal courts for years and Sharpe lost round after round.

And then, when it looked like everything was lost, his new attorneys at Duke Law’s Wrongful Conviction Clinic went above and beyond to make sure their client received pardon.

It took two years for their goal to be accomplished, but the hard work and the waiting paid off.

Speaking to The Post, Sharpe recalled how his attorney Theresa Newman delivered the life-changing news.

“Theresa called me and said, ‘Hey, Mr. Pardon Man.’ I was like, ‘What do you mean, “Mr. Pardon Man?”” Sharpe explained. “She said, ‘The governor just pardoned you.’ That just left me smiling on my couch and kind of awestruck.”

Newman commented the case as well and said, “No one is saying, or can say, he was released on a technicality. The technicality is that he was innocent.”

As reported by Fox News, it was North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper who made the announcement.

“I have carefully reviewed Montoyae Dontae Sharpe’s case and am granting him a Pardon of Innocence,” Cooper said in a statement. “Mr. Sharpe and others who have been wrongly convicted deserve to have that injustice fully and publicly acknowledged.”

For the time he spent in jail, Sharpe received $750,000. The truth is that no amount of money can compensate for the time lost and all those special moments he spent away from his loved ones.

“This thing is commonplace now,” Sharpe told The Post. “It can happen in so many places in so many ways, especially to people of color. People look at you like an animal or a monster, and you can’t get that out of people’s minds.”

As for now, this man is focused on making up for the lost time, as well as on helping others who are in the position he once was in. “The only way forward for me is to bring about change in the criminal justice system,” he said, according to The Post. “It’s a slow process, but I’m 46, not 86. I got time to do things.”

Based on the new evidence, the judge said that in case there was a new trial, Sharpe would be found not guilty.

“I’m still in a haze, kind of,” Sharpe told Fox News. “When you’re dealing with us human beings, it can go any way, yes and no. I didn’t know what to expect. I was believing for a pardon.”

He is thankful to his new attorneys and his family, without whose love and support he wouldn’t have stayed sane.

Cab driver prevents suicide bomber from blowing up hospital by locking him in the car

Police officers chat behind a cordon on Rutland Avenue, the place where police have confirmed the passenger of the taxi that later exploded outside the Women's Hospital in Liverpool was picked up, on November 16, 2021. - Britain raised its terrorism threat level, hours after an improvised explosion outside a hospital in Liverpool, as police named the suspect believed to have made the homemade device before dying in the blast. Amid Remembrance Day, when Britons commemorate the brave people who died in war, the country raised its terrorism levels from “substantial” to “severe,” according to The Washington Post.

Now, the story surrounding the events which preceded one of the terrorist attacks which happened in Liverpool after one man died in a suicide bombing is gathering the public’s attention.

According to a friend of the cab driver who was reported to had intervened before the bomb exploded and prevented a tragedy from taking place, the bomber entered the cab and asked to be taken to the Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral. There, around 1,200 people were gathered for Remembrance Day. However, due to road closures, he was unable to get there so he asked the cab driver, David Perry, to take him to the Liverpool Women’s Hospital instead.

It was then that Perry noticed something unusual.

“David noticed the man had some kind of light attached to his clothing and was messing around with it, it didn’t look right at all,” the friend said, as reported by the Daily Mail.

“I don’t know how he’s done it with a split second’s thought but David’s jumped out and locked the car with this guy in the back.

“As soon as he did, it’s gone off. If this guy got in the hospital God knows what could have happened. David’s the luckiest man in Britain as well as the most heroic,” the friend added.

Perry was dubbed a real-life hero who saved the life of a number of people who were a potential target that day.

His wife, however, offered a slightly different version of the actual story. In the comments section of Manchester Evening News, Perry’s wife, Rachel, wrote, “There are a lot of rumors flying round about him being a hero and locking the passenger inside the car … but the truth of the matter is, he is without doubt, lucky to be alive.

“The explosion happened whilst he was in the car and how he managed to escape is an utter miracle. He certainly had some guardian angels looking over him,” she added.

Following the explosion, four people were arrested and the bomber who lost his life was believed to be 32-year-old Emad al Swealmeen, as reported by detective chief inspector Andrew Meeks.

“We continue to appeal for any information about this incident and, now that we have released his name, any information that the public may have about al Swealmeen, no matter how small, may be of great assistance to us,” Meeks said.

This incident follows after last month’s fatal stabbing of conservative lawmaker David Amess, which Britain labeled a terrorist attack.

9-year-old sells paintings for food and supplies animal shelter

Pavel Abramov from Russia is a young boy who makes a huge difference in the lives of many stray and shelter animals in his hometown.

Sweet Pavel has an immense talent for drawing and painting and he uses that in order to help the less fortunate.

Whenever he sells any of his paintings, he rushes to the local shelter and brings plenty of food for the animals there. The residents there are all very happy when they smell his presence, because that means treats and a time well-spent with someone who truly cares for their well-being.

Being just nine, he does so much more for the vulnerable animals than any other person his age.

Sometimes, he offers his painting services in exchange for cat and dog food and a bunch of other supplies. His project is known as “Kind Paintbrushes.”

It first started when Pavel’s pet, Barsik, passed away. Pavel’s mom was very supportive of her son’s wish to help the animals because she could sense his heart was getting filled with sadness whenever he would see an animal in need. Not wanting his little heart to get broken every time, she decided to be there for him in his plan to feed as many animals as possible.

The site “What a little volunteer is capable of” Pavel and his mom run is filled with beautiful stories of children like Pavel who make a change the best they can.

Thank you, Pavel, for everything you do!

German Shepherd thought her soldier dad abandoned her, but then they met again

Being separated from someone you love for a longer period of time is the worst feeling ever. Sadly, that is what the families of many soldiers experience when their loved ones are deployed and away from home. The reunions, however, which are always filled with emotions, are worth all the waiting.

One solder has been away from home for nine months and not only his family, but his dogs too were eagerly waiting for him to come home. He knew his canines were probably wondering where he might be, so he decided to surprise them by waiting for them in the living room. Their reaction? Beyond priceless.

But although all his furry pals were happy to see their daddy, it is Freyja the German Shepherd who stole our hearts. She wouldn’t let the rest of the dogs get near as she wanted all the attention for herself. She just couldn’t contain her emotions and jumped in excitement asking for cuddles.

This video is a must see. It brings positive energy so don’t forget to share it with your friends.

Boy lost his soldier dad when he was just 9 months old, 15 years later stranger brings comfort

Justin Roser is a 15 year old boy who grew up without a father by his side and never stopped wondering what life would be like if his dad hadn’t died in Iraq while serving the country.

Besides his mother’s stories, Justin had some items which belonged to the late Army 1st Lt. Jonathan Rozier, among which photos of the car he used to drove.

Justin dreamed of having his dad’s old car, but his mother sold it back in the day and finding it again was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Speaking to journalist Steve Hartman, Justin’s mom said that she witnessed miracles happening thanks to the social media, so she decided to try her luck and posted photos of her late husband’s ’99 Toyota Celica convertible and asked from Facebook users to help her track the vehicle down.

Believe it or not, the message reached just the right person, Kyle Fox from Pleasant Grove, Utah, who managed to find who the car belonged to now. With the help of some of his friends, he bought the car and restored it to look like a brand new car.

Kyle reached Justin’s mom and told her the great news while Justin had no idea he was about to receive the ultimate surprise.

For his 15th birthday, this young man who missed his dad unconditionally got to drive his old car. Needless to say, Justin was speechless. He could finally connect to his late dad the way he always dreamed.

Thanks to a complete stranger, Justin’s greatest wish came true.

The video of this incredible story is very touching. You can see it below.

Comedian Don Knotts made his family laugh even during the last days of his life

Dubbed by many one of the most beloved comedians, Don Knotts made millions laugh.

This incredible actor who is probably best known for his roles of Deputy Sheriff Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith Show and landlord ‘Ralph Furley’ from the late 1970’s television series Three’s Company passed away in 2006 and left the world mourn his death.

Wikipedia Commons

His fans didn’t know much about his personal life, but many things about Don came to light after he left this world.

Don was born in 1924 in Morgantown, West Virginia, to an alcoholic father who suffered from a mental illness. As a result, Don’s childhood wasn’t easy because his dad was very often violent to him. On top of that, the family was relatively poor and had a hard time make ends meet during most of Don’s childhood. Don used to work as a chicken plucker at a chicken farm.

He had four brothers, two of which died young. This affected Don a lot and he suddenly turned shy and introverted. Many had a hard time believing these traits were part of the comedian’s character as he never showed that while on stage. In fact, when he was performing he was a completely different person.

The five time Emmy award winner was great at making people laugh from early age, but his path to Hollywood took time. When he first tried his luck as a comedian in New York, he experienced a failure and that made him go back to his hometown and enlist in the United States Army during World War II. During his service, everyone became aware of Don’s talent.

Screenshot

After he returned home, Don got his first role, that in the soap opera Search For Tomorrow which aired from 1953 to 1955. However, it was the legendary role of Deputy Barney Fire that made him one of the best in the industry. In 1979, Don accepted the role of Landlord Ralph Furley in Three’s Company. Two roles that marked his life forever.

During the 1980’s, the film Return to Mayberry joined Don and Andy Griffith again and was a huge success.

Wikipedia Commons

Sadly, Don passed away in 2006, at the age of 81, but he never lost the ability to make people laugh. His daughter Karen revealed how she and her stepmother burst in laughter when her dad was telling them jokes while living the last days of his life at the hospital bed battling lung cancer. “He was literally dying, but he did something or said something that caused my stepmother and me to go into fits of laughter, which is why I ran out. I thought to myself, ‘I don’t want to be standing there in front of this man, my dearly beloved father, who’s dying, and laughing,’” Karen told Closer Weekly.

Karen followed into her famous dad’s footsteps and became an actress herself, although Don didn’t really want his children to be part of Hollywood.

He was described by his co-stars as an incredibly quiet and sweet man. However, he had his struggles but he was doing his best to overcome them. “He had a lot of different kinds of moods. He fought a lot of depression and I helped him, or thought I did, because I could see how he had this endless loop of thought that would always lead to a downward spiral. I would try to break through that and was like Pollyanna, pointing out the positives,” Karen said.

The Andy Griffith Show Wiki / Facebook

Don’s hometown paid him a tribute by placing a statue of him and he was honored with the ”Don Knotts Boulevard.”

“It’s a prop that is a symbol for the script for The Ghost and Mr. Chicken which he did around the same time.  So, it’s a nod to his film work in his left hand and nod to his TV work with the Andy Griffith Show with the prop for the Barney Fife had in his right hand,” the artist, Jamie Lester, explained.

Shutterstock

“Don was special. There’s nobody like him. I loved him very much. We had a long and wonderful life together I told him I loved him, and I held his hand. His chest heaved several times, and I believe he heard my voice,” Andy Griffith told WFMY after Don’s death.

We are happy we had him. If you were a fan and Don made you laugh share this in his honor.

Four dead in murder-suicide after ex-cop kidnaps his daughters and goes on the run

41-year-old Robert Vicosa, a former Maryland police officer and a father of two, abducted his two daughters, Giana, 6, and Aaminah, 7, with the help of a fellow ex-cop Tia Bynum, 35.

Unfortunately, after a manhunt, the girls, along with their abductors, were found injured and dead inside the SUV in what was described as a murder-suicide.

Before the kidnapping took place, Vicosa held the girls’ mother at knifepoint. Reports are she was assaulted as well.

Vicosa and Bynum also kidnapped a random man on Wednesday and forced him to drive them 14 miles around Baltimore as they committed several crimes. Eventually, they released him without causing him any harm, according to Baltimore County Police Chief Melissa Hyatt.

When the police came across a vehicle which matched the description of the one involved in the crimes, they attempted to stop it but the driver continued across the Maryland state line, veered off the road and crashed into a fence line.

As police officers approached the now crashed vehicle, they noticed three people dead at the scene. One of the girls was still alive and she was rushed to hospital but later died due to the severity of her injuries.

It still remains unclear who killed the girls before committing suicide. Whether it was their father or his friend Tia remains unknown. What we know is that four people lost their lives.

NBC reported that now late officer Vicosa had been a sergeant with the Baltimore County police, but was demoted to officer before getting fired earlier this year. His friend Tia Bynum who worked in the police department’s criminal investigations bureau and also died in the shooting was released from her job on Wednesday, prior to kidnapping Vicosa’s daughters.

Years after mistaken Thanksgiving invite, accidental tradition continues as beautiful friendship was born

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year for those who celebrate it. And as the winter approaches and the holiday is just around the corner, we get this feeling of nostalgia and togetherness and feel the urge to spend those special moments with those that mean to us the most. The same goes for other holidays, such as Thanksgiving, the time when we share our gratitude and feel thankful for everything we have.

A story of an elderly lady texting her grandson to come over for Thanksgiving, but sending the message to someone else by mistake, went viral some years ago. If you wonder why, let us remind you of Wanda Dench, who invited her grandson to her home but had no idea he changed numbers. Instead, the text went to a young man named Jamal Hinton.

When he asked who was texting him, Wanda answered, “Your grandma.” Jamal then wrote, “You are not ma grandma, Can I still get a plate tho?”

“Of course you can,” Wanda replied. “That’s what grandmas do …feed every one.”

Fast forward, Jamal appeared on Wanda’s doorstep and they had a fun time together with the rest of Wanda’s family.

This happened in 2016, and from that Thanksgiving on, Jamal never missed a chance to spend the holiday with the Denches.

Last year, both Wanda and her husband Lonnie had COVID-19, and while she recovered, he didn’t make it.

Last year, the group gathered once again. Well, it became a tradition for them to spend Thanksgiving together, and now Jamal’s girlfriend was invited as well. On Nov. 26, 2020, Jamal posted the annual photo we’ve all been waiting for. They all stood around a framed photo of Lonnie, and Jamal wrote, “Thank you @wandadench for such an amazing celebration! You are such a blessing to this world. We miss you Lonnie.”

This year, they are planing on meeting again. “We are all set for year 6!” Jamal tweeted a few days ago.

It is amazing how a simple text led to such a beautiful friendship which lasts for years.

“We moved around a lot, so I was always going to new places,” Wanda, who grew up in a military family told ABC News. “And so strangers were not strangers to me. Family is more than blood. It’s the people you want to be with.”

Donald Trump “yelled” at Melania following infamous jacket incident while he was POTUS

Rumors are Melania Trump isn’t happy about her husband running for president again. It looks like she settled perfectly in the family’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, where their son attends Oxbridge Academy as part of the class of 2024.

This incredible woman first met the former president at a New York Fashion Show in 1998. She was just starting her successful modeling career after moving to America from her homeland of Slovenia when recently divorced Donald Trump got interested in meeting her.

Shutterstock/Gints Ivuskans

Speaking to Larry King back in 2005, Trump recalled looking at Melania for the first time. “I went crazy. I was actually supposed to meet somebody else. There was this great supermodel sitting next to Melania. They said, ‘Look, there’s so and so.’ I said, ‘Forget about her. Who is the one on the left? And it was Melania.”

She, on the other hand, didn’t seem to be interested in meeting him or starting a relationship. “He wanted my number,” Melania Trump told Tatler. “But he was on a date, so of course I didn’t give it to him. I said, ‘I am not giving you my number; give me yours and I will call you.’ If I give him my number, I’m just one of the women he calls.”

One thing led to another, and they eventually tied the knot and welcomed son Barron Trump.

When Trump won the 2016 presidential elections, the family left Trump Tower for the White House.

Melania was very supportive of her husband and executed the role of a First Lady just perfectly.

However, now that they are no longer residing in Washington D.C., some of Trump’s associates who served him during his presidency decided to open up about what was going on behind close doors.

Stephanie Grisham, former White House press secretary and author of the book I’ll Take Your Questions Now, revealed what truly happened when then First Lady Melania visited a migrant housing facility in Texas wearing a jacket with the text “I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?”

As media representatives took a notice of the controversial text which was obviously unsuitable for the occasion, Melania got slammed big time for her wrong choice of clothing. This made Trump really mad. Once home, he started yelling at his wife. “He yelled and asked “what the [expletive]” they thought they were doing,” Grisham wrote, according to Washington Post.

In an interview with the CNN, Melania spoke of the incident. “It’s obvious I didn’t wear the jacket for the children,” she said. “I wore the jacket to go on the plane and off the plane. And it was for the people and for the left-wing media who are criticizing me.”

Donald and Melania celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary in January and it looks like they are going strong as day one. One thing that makes their marriage picture-perfect is the fact that Melania knows what led to her husband’s former marriages to fail and she’s doing things differently as a result. One of her former friends and Met Gala producer Stephanie Winston Wolkoff wrote in her book Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady, that unlike Trump’s exes, she never tried using his name in order to promote her work and businesses.

“She was very well aware of what he wanted — and didn’t want — in his third wife. He wasn’t the kind of husband who cheered on his wife’s career,” Wolkoff wrote in her book, according to Yahoo. “Melania told me the secret of her long marriage to him is that she is completely different from his other wives.”

Shutterstock/mark reinstein

Melania believed that Ivana Trump and Marla Maples put too much pressure on Donald and that’s why their marriages didn’t work out.

“Unlike Marla Maples, Melania didn’t pressure him emotionally,” Wolkoff wrote. “Unlike Marla Maples, Donald’s first wife, who ran one of his Atlantic City casinos and sold jewelry and clothes on QVC for a decade, Melania didn’t pressure Donald for things to do.”

Alec Baldwin left a voicemail for his daughter Ireland calling her a “thoughtless little pig”

As the name of actor Alec Baldwin is all over the magazines and the social media due to the fatal shooting which took place on the set of the movie Rust which he both produced and played in, we go back to his life prior to the tragic incident and recall what made his relationship with his daughter Ireland Baldwin a hot topic back in the day, and how things are going between them nowadays.

Baldwin met his first wife, beautiful Kim Basinger, on the set of The Marrying Man back in 1990. According to Entertainment Weekly, director Jesse Reese recalled that Basinger saw photos of her and Baldwin placed next to each other at his office and said, “We are going to make a terrific couple.” Not long after that, the true started a relationship and married, welcoming daughter Ireland in their lives in 1995.

“He kissed me and then asked me if I wanted kids,” Basinger said an interview with People. She told him he was “psychotic” and that he should concentrate on the movie. He, on the other hand, called his friends and told them Kim was “driving me crazy” and that he would marry her.

Source: Shutterstock/Bart Sherkow

Speaking to Variety in 2000, The Cooler star said, “The reason I fell in love with Kim is that she’s so odd. With that kind of beauty, this is a woman who could have married the head of a studio or a big director or a movie star who gets $20 million a movie.

“She could have everyone shining her ass 24 hours a day. She could have played ball. But she’s a very odd woman. I’ve done plays by Tennessee Williams; he was really able to enunciate certain southern characters. I’m from Long Island—I never really knew they existed. But my wife is one of those people—an absolutely maddeningly peculiar, exotic, lovely person.”

Their marriage seemed picture-perfect, but then in 2001, she filed for divorce. This came as a shock to the couple’s fans, but her father, Don Basinger, said this decision didn’t come out of the blue. “I’ve known for a year and a half that she was thinking about this,” he told People. “I love Alec, he’s the most kind and generous man I’ve ever known in my life, and he’s overcome some very difficult things. All but one: his anger,” he added. “This has happened publicly. But it’s when it started happening in front of Ireland that Kim finally said, ‘Well, I’m not going to put up with that.’”

Source: Jemal Countess/WireImage/Gettty Images

At the time of their divorce, their daughter Ireland was only five. Sadly, she found herself in the middle of her parents’ nightmare custody battle which lasted for years. After racking up over $3 million in legal costs, they agreed on joint custody.

Ireland had a decent relationship with both her parents, but things changed after Baldwin left her a voice message calling her “a rude thoughtless little pig” because she failed to respond to one of his calls. At the time this voicemail leaked to the press, Ireland was 11. She felt devastated as everyone was talking about her and her dad.

“I don’t think anybody ever recovers now from things like that,” Baldwin wrote in his 2008 memoir A Promise to Ourselves: A Journey Through Fatherhood and Divorce. “It’s a scab that never heals … I thin my daughter, that’s hurt her in a permanent way.”

Ireland, who’s now 26, managed to put the incident behind her, and today, her relationship with her famous dad is back to where it used to be. They are very close and getting along just perfectly.

Speaking of the time the voicemail placed her name on pretty much every magazine, she responds with humor. During an appearance on the Comedy Central Roast, she said jokingly, “Hi Dad, I’m Ireland. It’s good to be here. I almost didn’t even know about it because I haven’t checked my voice mails from my dad from the last 12 years or something?

“I actually have a lot in common with the people in this roast,” she added. “Because like them, I don’t really know you that well either.”

Baldwin regrets not spending enough time with Ireland while she was growing up. “You look at all the time that was lost … If you did an analysis of the actual days I spent with Ireland [when she was growing up], you’d be appalled at how little it was,” the actor explained.

“Trying to make it in the business and not getting that right, never getting that right. I married somebody who was successful. She was a very successful actress. Kim was kind of peaking. She was 37 and I was 32. We got married. We both were working all the time. [Ireland] would go with Kim on location and I would go and meet them. Then we got divorced. There was a very acrimonious custody battle. Painful. Painful.”

Ireland works as a model and an actress. She had her first contract with IMG Models before turning 13. She’s also appeared in several movies, including Grudge Match, Love Advent, and the 2020 flick A Dark Foe.

Her net worth is estimated at $1 million.

She often shares realistic photos of her self on social media and encourages young people to love themselves the way they are.

“This is who I am, take it or leave,” she wrote recently. “I am not going to be body shamed for being pale or not stick thin. I’m not going to spend hours photoshopping my authenticity away, I’m not going to beat myself up for not looking like someone else. I’m not going to be told that I’m damaged goods because of my tattoos.

“Most days I’m self-conscious, but today I love every curve and edge. Your body should be treated with the dignity and respect it deserves,” she continued. “I want to be as real as possible with everyone that follows me because to be quite honest, what is even the point of social media if you can’t be who you truly are?”

The “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star is 15 and looks as adorable as always

If the name Alana Thomson doesn’t ring the bell, Honey Boo Boo certainly does.

Alana, a chubby little girl, first won the hearts of many when she was just five years old and her mom June Shannon forced her into beauty pageants. The two were part of the reality show Toddlers and Tiaras and gained huge popularity which led to their own show which aired on TLC in 2012, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.

The show was one of the highest-rated shows, and although many enjoyed watching the Georgia family’s adventures, it was also slammed by many, including Tim Goodman who wrote in The Hollywood Reporter, “You know this show is exploitation. TLC knows it. Maybe even Mama and HBB know it, deep down in their rotund bodies. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is a car crash, and everybody rubber-necks at a car crash, right? It’s human nature.

“Yes, except that if you play that card, you also have to realize that human nature comes with the capacity to draw a line, to hold fast against the dehumanization and incremental tearing down of the social fabric, even if this never-ending onslaught of reality television suggests that’s a losing effort. You can say no to visual exploitation. You can say no to TLC. And you can say no to Honey Boo Boo Child.”

Besides Alana and Mama June, the show also featured the three sisters, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, and Anna “Chickadee” Shannon as well as the father Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson.

The show was canceled in 2014, after four seasons. It was reported how some episodes of season five were already made, but they never saw the light of the day. The reason Here Comes Honey Boo Boo came to an end was Mama June’s alleged relationship with a sex offender who used to molest one of her daughters.

When Mama June moved on and left her husband, he was no longer part of the life of Honey Boo Boo who spoke of him last year and told OK Magazine, “The only time I ever see him is if we’re filming with him, which is very rarely. I tell myself all the time, I’m not going to put effort into something where there’s no effort being put in by the other person, or the other person doesn’t even care. So I’m not going to care about something that the other person don’t care about. He knows that I think we should have a better relationship, that we should see each other, like, once a month.”

Mama June was a real star herself and gained popularity and a number of fans.

She has been obese her whole life, but once the show was over, she decided to change her life drastically and dropped from 460 pounds to size 4. This led to her own show in 2017 titled Mama June: From Not to Hot. Alana was part of the show as well.

The sweet girl who is now 15 was part of Dancing with the Stars Junior in 2018 and she and dance partner Tristan Ianiero ended eighth.

Last year, Mama June and boyfriend Eugene “Geno” Doak were arrested and charged for possession of narcotics.

Her daughters spoke of their mom’s problem with addiction and even staged an intervention during which Alana said, “Mama, I would love to come home and stay with you — tell you about my day, but I can’t do that because I’m scared.”

After the arrest, Alana moved in with her sister Lauren. She felt the urge to speak of the things that happened to her and encourage others who were experiencing the same. “Can we just be real for a second? Let me tell y’all how proud I am of myself! I have honestly been thought hell and back this year! And I’m still standing! I have been doing so good in school and just being more happy! I get so much hate but then I think about who all loves me and I know them haters mean nothing. Let me just be the one to tell y’all if you are going through anything right now trust me it gets better you are worth it , I’m so proud of you, I can see you trying, I love you!” Honey Boo Boo wrote.

For Alana’s 15th birthday in August 2020, her mom surprised her with hitting the 6 months milestone of being sober. The teen also got a very special gift from the music group Sorellé who sang Happy Birthday a cappella in a personalized video for her.

“Hey guys, real quick I just wanted to jump on here. I know my birthday isn’t until Monday, but I want to share this six-month blinged out chip that my manager sent me for my birthday,” June told People.

“It’s probably the most thing I’m proud of because now me and Geno are over six months clean. This is amazing, y’all. I’m so proud of this.”

Alana has been in front of the camera almost her whole life and she grew up right in front our eyes. We hope she will make the most out of her teenage years because she deserves only the best.
