There are some things that when we hear them we are getting prepared for bad news, one of those things is when we hear people say “I’m sorry”, and it generally means they are apologizing in advance for something bad!

In really bad cases when people say it, then it’s a little like a buzz term since there is a huge probability that following it something life-changing is going to happen, forever!

When Jodi Parry and her partner Matt heard those words in the hospital about six years ago, their hearts practically lept, fluttered then missed several beats!

For the two of them, it was the second time around having children, they were both pretty scared about it, but also quite excited too, after a healthy son they were joyful about bringing two little angles, twin girls into the world!

Sadly though their happiness would take a beating and uncertainty would catch them up as the stress built as the births came around finally!

The doctor took the couple into a small waiting room and quietly spoke to them, their world would begin to spin out of control, he started:

“I’m sorry…”

The two of them were completely taken back as the doctor explained, hardly able to process what was happening to them and what it would mean, the two girls, Abigail and Isobel, had been diagnosed with a condition that would affect them forever… Down’s syndrome…

They had been trying for another baby for quite some time, even though they had a lovely little boy, called Finlay. Mom Jodi sadly had a miscarriage not long after Finlay’s birth and thought that she was prepared for anything at all!

Unfortunately, though the words of the doctor shocked her, she was not prepared for this!

It wasn’t so much the actual words but more the way the news was given to her, Jodi said that the doctor made it sound like it was a lifetime of doom, like an everlasting punishment.

The two girls were born early and had to stay in the intensive care unit for a full four weeks, things were looking pretty bad at this point.

Jodie said:

“That day, I didn’t feel like a mother. I just felt lost and confused. I had bleak visions of the future. I thought we’d be carers until we dropped dead”

From a statistical standpoint, Abigail and Isobel are really rare, the odds of giving birth to twins who are both Down’s Syndrome is one in a million, so super special they are!

Doctors said that the little girls were born with many health issues, Abigail is deaf on one side, in one ear, and Isobel had a hole in her heart…

None of what they were hearing was really what they wanted to hear, but they listened and took it all in, Matt an Jodi had no choice, they had to get on and get stuck in and do it as the reality of the situation sunk in.

Even more sadly there was such little information about children with Down’s Syndrom, no one even explained that they could live a normal life like other children and everything else…

They didn’t really realize for a little while because nobody explained to them that their family could really live a pretty normal life together!

This meant that Matt and Jodi were petrified about how things were going to work for them all.

They didn’t even know that their girls would be able to go to school like normal children, or if they would be able to talk!

The family had to find out and do everything themselves, the hard way…

Some sympathized and felt sorry for the children, but Abigail and Isobel got along just fine with massive amounts of love and affection by those closest to their family.

Abigail said:

“When the doctor took us to one side to give us the results, he said he was sorry that Abigail and Isobel had Down’s syndrome. To this day I’ll never know what he was sorry for”

“And I think if I could ever meet him again, I would like to show him Abigail and Isobel and say, ‘Why did you say sorry because we wouldn’t change Abigail and Isobel for the world now.”

Present day, six years after the birth, the girls have proven the real prejudices that exist in the world through ignorance and small-mindedness!

Another human being is another human being, regardless of anything else, and everyone deserves a real chance at life, these two children are perfect examples of that, for sure!

Looking at this lovely family who at all could say that they are not completely happy? No one!

There are important lessons we can learn from Matt and Jodi’s experiences:

You really can be happier than you think you can, whatever your situation, even when society tells you that you are less than perfect, you can be very happy indeed!

Anyone with Down’s Syndrome should have the same opportunities as anyone else in life, SHARE and spread the word!

Our children should have their lives filled with joy and play, laughter, and feelings of security and fun, to be children without the worries of life, experiencing new and happy things each day.

Andrew Leach was 12-years-old, and he had his whole life ahead of him, but for Andrew, he felt like he could not go on anymore.

The young boy, having seen nothing of life chose to end his life and his personal nightmare in the worse way possible on March 6.

His brother found him in the garage, such a deeply upsetting tragedy!

Andy was putting up with being bullied, and it only got worse as time went on, he told his classmates that he thought he might be bisexual…

His father said to the news that he thought that because he was open it only made other children pick on him even more.

His Mother said that:

he was called… “fat, ugly and useless”

The other children at the at Southaven Middle School picked on him, they didn’t care in the least bit about his feelings at all!

It all went too far, he even got death threats from other children at the school whilst he was in the school toilets, how incredibly low and inhumane!

His dad said:

“Kids were telling him, ‘We’re gonna put hands on you. You’re not going to make it out of this bathroom.’ Things of that nature”

The family told the school and complained about the treatment of their son, but none of the teachers could stop the bullying from happening. In the end, Andy, in the sixth grade, thought enough was enough, he couldn’t stand it anymore.

He was found dead in the garage, he had hung himself, his brother, 16-years-old and also suffering from bullying had found him, such sadness for the family, but especially for him, seeing him like he did.

And’s mom, Cheryl Hudson, said that her son left a farewell letter to his family, he revealed in the letter about his plan to end his life.

Since he died his mom has shared many heartbreaking stories about her son on Facebook, she also tells about how Andy loved to cook even, many things he wouldn’t be able to do anymore!

Cheryl writes:

“Another story just came to mind. Andy loved to learn how to cook. He wasn’t always good at it but he loved it. I came home from work one day (this happened several times) and sitting on my nightstand would be something he made. Once, it was sliced potatoes that were dang near raw lol But he always thought about things he could do for me, help me with, he loved doing special things for me”

In yet another post hi mom shared; she wrote:

“I also remember each time I’d give him a bath. I’d get him out of the tub and stand him up on the toilet to dry him off. One night he said, “Mommy, I don’t want to eat anymore.” I said “what?? Why baby?” And he said “if I eat I’ll get bigger. And then you won’t be able to hold me anymore.”
God I miss my baby so much”

Andy’s parents have spoken out to the media following their son’s death, they want to raise awareness and use the tragedy to educate and help others about the dangers of bullying.

Cheryl said to the news:

“I am on a crusade that I plan to not stop”

His mom hopes that Andy’s death won’t be in vain, that more and more people will join the fight against bullying.

Cheryl writes on her Facebook:

“Please share!! We need people to attend this. If your child is being bullied, you need to be here. If you know children being bullied, you need to be here. If you have children growing up and beginning school, you need to be here. Let’s allow Andy’s Voice to make a difference!! Share this event and tag everyone you know!”

Sadly Andy’s story is not an isolated incident, there are many similar cases.

Way too many children end up taking their lives each year because of being bullied by peers.

DeSoto County School said (In a statement relating to Andy’s case):

“All bullying reports are treated with the utmost importance. Students and parents are encouraged to contact school officials anytime there are bullying concerns, and they can use a link on the DeSoto County Schools website if they would prefer to report bullying incidents anonymously. All claims are investigated thoroughly, and school counselors are trained to help students and intervene when they are aware of a situation. Our hearts go out to this young student’s friends and family.”

Bullying is a terrible and deeply disturbing thing to experience, to be pushed to such extreme limits, it’s so sad!

Let Andy’s story give us a reminder and huge wake-up call. All of us must do whatever we can to stop bullying, wherever and whatever stop bullying!

Pulled over for a routine check, Ebony Rhodes felt nauseous and butterflies in her stomach as she stopped, she was so far down on luck that this was really the last thing that she needed today.

The police officer, Jeff Glazier, wanted to see her license and registration, but both of them were expired, just to make it worse she also had no insurance either. Tere were no other options open to him, he had to impound her car and arrest her, she was heartbroken but it all.

On the way back to the police station with Ebony the Officer received a call, one of the officers who searched her car found something strange about something on the back seats. The officer was alarmed and reported it to Jeff Glazier!

The officers just kept on pulling out belongings and a ton of clothes, it was really a huge amount of things, like her whole apartment was squashed into the car.

Ebony had to reveal the terrible and sad truth about the fact that she was homeless and had been forced to live out of her car, but she was living in the car with four children too!

For an incredible and grueling six months her four children, Calvin, Ja’heame, Isaac, and Dannaija were all living out of the car, which happened to be a 20-year-old Buick Regal, but they how no other options!

Eboly desperately tried to keep her family above water, by working at Walmart, she was also a single mom! But she did not earn enough to be able to afford a place to live, how sad and heartbreaking!

The Officer also learned that Ebony has a chronic blood disorder that was so serious that she had to miss days off work at a time, Ebony really felt like she was seriously letting down her children, she felt terrible about it!

She really did feel like the worse mo ever, each step forward she took seemed to force her to then take two steps back again.

The Officer after learning about Ebony went home to his wife and then had a powerful idea, he talked with his wife about it that evening, he could not just sit aside and watch this happening.

There really was not a thing in the world that could prepare Ebony for what was about to happen, watch what the officer does below:

When the very brave man and women that serve our country come home after months abroad, they have baggage, both mental and emotional. Quite often many of us can’t imagine how these brave men and women carry baggage like this. Many veterans come home with PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Some seek help for their condition, but there are many that don’t seek help, don’t know how to get help or feel like they should just carry on without help and go unchecked.

William Jazwinski was sure that he couldn’t go through life without getting help for his problems, he was a former Heavy Wheeled Vehicle Operator for the United States Army and he had many terrible and painful memories after months in Iraq.

He really also felt that fighting for his country was an honor and he never removed the flag from his truck, he kept it there, in fact, he was very proud of it, but he never thought that his pride in his service would make him a target of law enforcement officers.

From the account of his tour he was a brave and great honorable soldier, he would have done anything for his fellow servicemen and women. The hot and long shifts in Iraqui deserts along with the demanding training schedules brought the battalions together in ways they never imagined.

William and his team, once they were on a mission, there was truly nothing that could stop them from achieving their objective!

He was dedicated to all of his duties, but it was apparent that his duties took their toll on him. He had seen things that no one should have to see in life, and the time away from his family was hard, but even though it all he was proud to have served his country!

When Williams tour came to an end, he came home and drove his truck with a neatly and correctly folded United States flag on his dashboard. It really was the perfect way to keep reminding himself the well-learned lessons of his service to his country.

William’s perspective about having the flag in his truck was completely different after he had been stopped by the police. Just as the officer’s red and blue lights came on, William looked down to see he wasn’t speeding, what was it all about?

The veteran soldier was ready with his license and registration for the office, but quite puzzled, the officer was not looking for his license and registration though!

In a deeply emotional Facebook post, William said why the officer had stopped him:

Me: Good morning, Officer. Was I speeding?

Officer: Good morning, no not speeding. Just wanted to stop ya and say thank you for your service.

Me: Oooh the bumper sticker, nice. Your welcome, Sir. My pleasure.

Officer: Where did you serve?

Me: I went to Iraq. Did a 15 month [stint]. Out of Fort Benning.

Officer: Well, alright. My son went to Iraq. He didn’t make it home.”

Me: Man, I’m so sorry to hear that. I just finished a PTSD program.

Officer: I see you have a flag in the truck. The one we got for him? Well, it’s at the house. Can I ask a question? Me: Sure.

Officer: Do you mind stepping out and receiving a hug? You remind me of my son. I pulled you over. I thought you were him. I still don’t believe it most days he’s gone.

“With tears in both our eyes, I got out and hugged that man. I’m talking about for a minute or two crying. Down to our knees crying. I needed that. “

“To all the family and friends of soldiers, fighting or that have been fighting, God bless you. Your peace and your hearts. It’s so hard without them, I know. This road is a tremendous one. Love to all.”

The officer just wanted to give William the very well deserved well done and thank you for serving his country, leaving your family to serve your country is truly a difficult thing!

The officer that stopped William had a new sense of focus for his faith and how he would treat strangers…

The second that William came home, he took a picture of his flag in his truck (seen above) and then shared it online.

William had no clue that his story of this would inspire so many thousands of other people all around the country.

Since posting his amazing and warm words online, it’s been shared 180,000 times, it’s been liked by more than 210,000 users, wow! The moment between the officer and William has really struck a chord with everyone, so awesome!

You can guarantee that if I ever saw someone attacking my grandmother, I would break free and lose it. Some people steal from the elderly, but to attack an elderly person it the lowest of the low…

That, sadly, is the hard truth about what happened here, but also something else too happened, something absolutely AMAZING!

A 76-year-old woman was on her way to her car, in a Winn-Dixie parking lot, then a purse snatcher dove out in front of her and attacked her…

Thankfully though three people came to help her, one was a Navy veteran and for sure, you didn’t want to mess with this guy.

That big guy, you know the one your always nervous about standing next to, that is Kendrick Taylor and when he heard a woman screaming he looked over to see that a woman was being assaulted.

The guy doing the assault was quite obviously a coward and a thief too, Kendrick walked over to him he jumped on his bike and he took off as fast as he could!

Kendrick pursued the guy at full speed, the navy veteran ran faster than his bike, caught him and tackled him to the ground, he held him down and called the police on his cell phone.

The guy he caught was already on probation so for him he took a fast route back to jail with fresh robbery charged added to his rap sheet.

Like most veterans, Taylor says he doesn’t think of himself as a hero.

He said:

“What if that was my Grandma?”

What an amazing guy right there, the world would be a much better place with more guys like this!

The thought of going to court for most of us is a dreadful thought, really its a real dread for us law abiding citizens!

However, for people that go to the court when Judge Frank Caprio presides, in Providence, Rhode Island, the whole thing is so enjoyable that you might actually forget that you’re in a legal court proceeding!

It this case, a Vietnam veteran appeared before the Judge to contend a parking ticket that he had, it was for a parking violation in May 2016…

He was quite upset with the ticket and the veteran called the parking circumstances at the Providence VA Medical Center, completely “atrocious!”

He has to go there several times a week and although he is willing to pay for the ticket, he felt very upset at the cost for a first-time offender!

The veteran tells his story to the court and Judge Caprio make him feel at ease, he listens to his story and lets him explain, even makes jokes to keep the situation jovial and relaxed.

He then makes a decision as to how things will work out from that point!

Caprio said:

“This is a case of me trying to balance the equities …I’m trying to balance the enforcement policy of the city of Providence against the parking situation at the hospital.”

He believes that the parking violation is a problem and that a veteran shouldn’t be lumbered with the parking ticket when he is attempting to get medical treatment for injuries he received while serving his country…

With the greatest of rulings, he dismisses the case with 5 words:

“Thank you for your service”

There aren’t many judges like this you can bet on it!

Bullying seems to have always been a problem, throughout history, but it now seems to be getting worse and more severe. There are lots of reasons why this could be the case, one of these is that parents are not teaching their young how to treat others and be tougher on the rules!

One father is really looking to change the way things are done, at least in his own home that is…

This guy called, Bryan Thronhill, discovered that his son was bullying other kids on the school bus, he then made a decision to teach him a lesson. What he decided to do in his unique way has gone viral!

Bryan started the video he posted on Facebook, like this:

“Hey everyone, welcome to ‘You Better Listen to Your Dad 2018′”

The video filmed from his car features his 10-year-old son running in the rain, on the side if the road, with a backpack on his back!

Bryan explained a little more what was happening:

“My son has finally got in trouble on the bus enough to where he was kicked off the bus for three days because he was being a little bully, which I do not tolerate, can’t stand. Therefore, he has to now run to school.”

“We’re right about one mile from the school so all week he’s got the experience of running.”

Bryan was determined that he wasn’t going to stand for his son’s behavior, he planned to nip it in the bud!

He said that:

“This right here is called parenting”

Bryan said also:

“We’re gonna make sure that one way or another his teachers are gonna be able to enjoy his company at school, he’s not disrupting his classmates and everything else”

It really seemed to be working! Bryan announced that his son’s behavior and attitude have greatly imporoved.

He said that:

“…teachers have approved of his behavior this week.”

He went on:

“He hasn’t got in trouble at school this week [whereas] last week he was absolutely out of his mind”

Some people have called out how Bryan punishes his son and say it’s cruel and shouldn’t be done, but Bryan insists that he is doing a good job and encouraging other parents to do the same!

Bryan said:

“Teach your kids. Don’t be a friend, be a parent …That’s what children need these days.”

That drive we feel to procreate for some of us is especially strong, sometimes more than others, especially as we get older, Jess Ham, from Jacksonville, Florida, really wanted to be a mother, but had not got any children of her own!

She worked in nursing at the Wolfson Children’s Hospital, so instead, she saw and cared for the children of others, saw and dealt with many new parents every day as they came to her place of work.

There was one particular patient that crossed paths with her, she could feel something life changing was going to happen this time!

It happened when the 14-month-old girl called Delilah was taken to the hospital, to the pediatric intensive care unit, the little one was in awful condition, it was so sad.

The little girl was really sick looking and very underfed, she had broken bones and a fractured skull, she was too weak to hold a bottle even!

Hamm was shocked the poor little girl was being abused at home…

She said:

“My heart was broken …She was just so lifeless, but she still held onto my finger.”

Jess cared for the toddler, she knew that the girl would need more and more as time passed, she really felt in her heart that she could, herself, give something more to the girl.

Jess said:

“I was like ‘oh my gosh, I’m going to take her home’”

She decided that she really wanted to adopt Delilah!

There was a twist to the story though…

Jess started the paperwork and began to go through the motions with the Florida Department of Children and Families, she then learned that Delilah was not the only one!

As it happened she also had a twin sister called Caroline…

Caroline too was in the hospital there, Jess thought that to separate them would be a terrible thing, she decided that the sisters had to remain together, then she did something amazing:

She went ahead and started the process to adopt both twins!

Jess had been raised in a loving home and the young twins are coming along really well, with the love she gave them, they were really flourishing. Jess reads to them, and they love her back so much!

For the girls, it really was a life-saving decision, but too, for Jess, it was the best timing too, although she didn’t really think about adoption before when she saw the girls it made perfect sense!

Jess said:

“I hope when people hear my story it opens them up to the possibilities of adopting”

A Vietnam veteran called, Jim O’Connor is an amazing math teacher he is not one to dice with though! He has a super shot army-style haircut and keen all-seeing eyes that scan the classroom endlessly!

Having spent years in the military he is firm and commands respect among the students, he really does not stand for rowdy behavior either or restless teens in his class.

Jim, who teaches at the St. Francis High School in California, takes a “no bull” methodology to teaching and coping with 32 teenage boys in the class. All students are familiar with his strict regime in the class, but on learning his nickname outside the school they were on their backs!

It happens that Jim is known out of school as the baby whisperer. He is a TLC volunteer at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, he really has devoted his time to cuddling sick children, really sharing the love!

He first started helping the hospital when a friend of his persuaded him to donate blood, he has type ‘O’ negative, which is a highly wanted, universal blood type!

Jim then returned to regularly give blood and platelets, he really was the hospitals top donor, so far he has shared 72 gallons of blood!

When he would go to the hospital he would keep seeing sick and struggling children and babies at the hospital, he wanted to know if he could do something to help. The guy who was single and never been married or had children, but was awesome a cuddling babies!

He enjoys rocking them, walking with them and feeding them too, the hospital really loves Jim, what an awesome guy, all the little ones gravitate to him too!

Jim really works well with the children, he gives love and helps the hospital all the time, the staff and families really appreciate his help!

Even given the best efforts of parents, bullying is still a huge problem, students just keep doing harm to their fellow students. The victim in all this has an awful day and leaves psychological scars that can affect a whole life!

There is one group with a mission to raise awareness about bullying, there were four children who worked with Matt TV in a creative and cool experiment.

Matt says:

“After the recent events that happened with Keaton Jones being bullied, I decided to conduct a social experiment seeing how people would react if they saw a child being bullied in public …The results were shocking!”

Mat tells us that:

“About 28 percent of students ages 12-18 reported being bullied at school during the school year.”

Such a staggering number, taking into account all the work done in anti-bullying, it’s a shock, Matt decides to explore it more and find out more about this!

He decides to work with three teenagers in the elementary school to work out how people will react when they see bullying happens in front of them, they went to different parks to test it out!

In each park they sent the younger boy to play alone, with a ball, then the bigger boys crash his fun!

The ‘bully’ would say:

“Hey there, kid. Nice ball you’ve got there”

The little boy would make it look like he didn’t know them and didn’t want to play with them…

Each of the group played their roles all working together in their performance, and being filmed too, they carried on until someone decided to intervene, in each case an adult saved the boy.

The burning question for everyone was:

“What are you doing?!”

The boys were really old enough to know what they were doing, they should know better, they should feel shame, right?

After the performance was completed they would ask the strangers why they had stepped in to help.

 One said:

“Well I wouldn’t want my son to be getting bullied …so if I knew somebody would be around my son at that time, I would want them to do something as well.”

A woman said that she had felt disgusted with the teen’s actions and she knew she needed to help…

She said:

“He was just messing with this poor kid, and there was nobody else taking care of it.”

Bullying is a really huge problem, Matt tells us that there are 160,000 kids that don’t attend school every day because they are scared of bullies and being bullied.

It’s a happy thought to know that most parents really want to get involved in stopping it from happening, even with children who are not their own!

A first job is a big deal, we all remember our first job, it’s memorable, it’s also the first time as teenagers we learn about responsibility too. Every teenager is excited about that first step out into the real world, right?

This one girl was especially excited about a first job, even more than most, she’s not your typical teenager though, she is hard working and regularly participates in within the community.

She also happens to be a varsity cheerleader too, as well as spending time helping at the concession stand too in the snack store of the little league, she is both driven and well achieved, also she has downs syndrome.

This girl had never let her special needs interfere with the way of anything she does. Recently Julia decided that she really wanted a job, to become independent!

So working for the Chick-fil-A was the most awesome and best way for her to do it, a great way to achieve her dreams of independence.

Julia had everyone’s support, and she applied for the job…

Julia’s mom, Kerri, said:

“Several kids at school wrote unsolicited letters of recommendation for her …and a couple of other kids helped her choose outfits and drove her to the interview.”

She practiced her interview technique and what she might say in the interview with her teachers, then two official interviews with the business too. Then, at last, she was ready to get an answer…

Her mom posted the phone call where she actually gets the decision!!

Julia answered the call, she said her name, her mom advised her a little on what to do when getting the call, she seemed to be really nervous, but excited to in finding out the answer…

Wow, she got the job, Julia’s face lit up when she heard the news. She even had to cover her face with her had she was so excited, her new employer discussed her next steps with her briefly too…

The whole family was eager to know, they had been waiting for her and they too were completely delighted for her too. Her brother, now the cameraman, showed the whole family and their excitement too

When Julia heard her when her first day of work would be, she almost started crying. This job meant so much to her, and she was finally able to add it on to her long list of accomplishments.

Her mom said:

“Julia Hock is a working woman! …After two interviews, lots of interview practice with her teachers, and a team of her friends helping her pick outfits and putting in a good word, Julia was hired. So proud of our girl!”

It just goes to show us all that with enough determination and persistence we can get the thing we want in life, just put in a little hard work like Julia!

One thing that is certainly not an answer to anything is violence, however, some people believe that it can have a place as an effective solution, like self-defense, used correctly of course. A little boy, who had been bullied so much had finally found the strength to defend himself. You can decide if he did the right thing…

The boy had been a constant target since his school year started, every day the same student would be there to taunt him. The boy, the victim in all this, never once looked to get revenge for the actions against him.

One day though the bully took things one step too far, an Imgur user called ‘wolverineprostateexams’ decided to share the story about how his cousin finally stood up for himself once and for all!

The cousin said:

“Last Friday was the final straw …Bully was blocking my cousin from getting on the bus. There is a video of my cousin repeatedly telling the bully to move.”

He tried asking nicely, that the bully would stop, but of course that didn’t work at all, then, of course, the bully started to get violent with him…

“…(the) bully then pushed my cousin with enough force [that] he trips. As my cousin tries to get up bully kicks my cousin in the stomach and punches him in the face when he tries to get up again.”

The boy really had enough now, after all, we all have our limits of what we can endure before we snap!

The cousin continues again:

“My cousin rushed his bully and proceeded to beat the living crap out of him”

The little boy’s family saw that the moment was a turning point, the tables had finally turned and the bully was firmly set to rights.

Unfortunately, though, the school saw things in a different light, they took both students and dragged them to the principals’ office, they were BOTH give three days suspension!?

The boy was the victim in this could really not believe this at all, I mean, doesn’t every person in the eyes of the law has the right to defend themselves and use reasonable force to do so?

His parents were really unhappy and showed it the only way they knew how…

One of the family said:

“My uncle makes it clear he will not be punishing my cousin and the three days will be leisure days”

This really upset the bullies family, of course, they demanded that the victim in all this be expelled, even after seeing a video of their son beating the boy in question while he was pinned to the floor!?!?

The boy’s father even asked his cousin to take him out for the day, for a fun day out, on his final day of suspension, he was the victim after all?

The cousin said:

“I’m going to take him go-karting and to see an R rated movie,” the kid told his viewers. “He defended himself and I’m proud of him.”

A really heartwarming and lovely moment was captured in this video, at dinner in a place called Racine in Wisconsin. This US veteran had a really wired moment chatting with the waiter!

The Guy had assumed that the waiter was just a waiter, of course, who wouldn’t right?

You can see in the video that the 90-year-old guy, a veteran from World War II is sat down to have breakfast with his family…

The waiter walks over to them and serves them coffee, then he begins talking to him.

After he has noted what he wants to eat and drink, the apparent waiter says to him:

“Well, you got room for one more?”

A pretty odd question to ask a stranger, don’t you think?

the veteran replies:

“I’ll let you know”

Then the waiter asks:

“You don’t recognize me?”

The veteran exclaims, of course, says:

“No… I’m legally blind!”

He really doesn’t twig that the waiter is really not the waiter at all, it’s his grandson and he hasn’t seen the boy for months!

The young man said:

“My whole life I’ve been extremely close with my grandpa, as he is the only male role model that I’ve had”

The young man then goes on to say that he moved from Wisconsin to Florida and had not been able to see his grandpa in months, so he flew up to give him the surprise of his life!

The message seems to take a little while to sink in though …

A baby’s first words are always special and for most children that tend to be the usual ‘Mama’ or ‘Dada’. For sure, the parent who has their little boy or girl say their name first feels especially special, but for this one family, it happened it little differently!

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit them, and like most grandparents encourage their little one to say their first word, but for the little one, ‘Mama’ and ‘Dada’ really don’t seem to be words he wants to say!!

These sweet and quite definitely very loving Grandparents could not be more proud of their beautiful grandson, his little ‘coo’ and ‘goo’ sounds are really lovely. Most of all though they are excited to try to get him to speak and say his first words…

Funnily though his very first word is a completely unexpected surprise, everyone is completely stunned for a brief moment after he says the words, did they hear him right?

Yep, they certainly did hear him right, he really said it…

Just before Grandma had been saying to him:

“Say, Mama. Do you want to?”

“Do you want to say milk?”

After a few tries Grandpa has a genius moment, and without too much thought says something unexpected…

Grandpa looked straight to his Grandson and said:

“Taco!”

The little one paused and with a carefully thought out movement of his mouth, looking at grandpa’s amusement at the word he says the word!

As it just happens to be, the family have a cat called Taco and it’s the cat’s honor to have baby say his name! A big thanks goes to Grandpa and the cat from this really hilarious and great moment caught on camera!

Looks like this little one feels quite close to the cat!

Bethani and Tim Webb met for the first time and Bethani knew that things were going to be different, how he smiled, his great passion for life and grandeur dreams pulled Bathani to him. So the fact that Tim felt the same was a relief, two years later Tim asked him to marry her…

They really had no idea how their lives would be turned inside out just a few short weeks after their wedding day!

After that period of a warm glow came to an end, Tim and Bethani began to discuss what the future was going to look like for them both as a couple. Were they going to buy a house, were they going to have pets? Would they have children?

Bethani told the news channels that she was happy to start trying for a family right away, but Tim preferred to wait for a little and enjoy their time together as newlyweds.

She said:

“My husband definitely wanted to wait a year. I was fine with whenever it ended up happening, but then we found out we were very excited, only thinking we were having one…”

Bethani realized that she was pregnant and they shot straight to the doctors to have an ultrasound!

…but what happened next in the doctor’s office was going to be something they will remember for the all of their lives!

The tech positioned the ultrasound wand scanner over her stomach at precisely the correct angle, then announced, to both of them, that they were going to be having quadruplets!

Bethani said:

“I could not believe it, I was in such shock. Honestly, I thought the ultrasound tech was joking. I couldn’t believe it… It was a good thing that my husband was sitting down because he almost fainted.”

Neither of them had a history of this in their families because they conceived naturally it was even rarer! The couple realized that having four identical girls happens once in fifteen million pregnancies!

They were very grateful that the remainder of Bethani’s pregnancy went really smooth and she had four identical girls, McKayla, Grace, Abigail, and Emily…

The couple was in luck that the community all grouped together and helped them, people in their hometown started a fundraiser and ensure that they didn’t want for anything, how awesome!

She said:

“It’s really amazing because there would be no way we could do this by ourselves”

Neighbors as well as family members and even complete strangers all helped and looked after the couple any way they could, the couple knew things were going to be hard though!

They are both coming to the realization that they now have children together and even though they never imagined it, they are both getting stuck in and making the most of their new position.

Bethani said to the News:

“I think my husband has gotten used to the idea that there are four babies, but I don’t think he’s gotten used to the idea that there are four identical girls”

There will be arguments like all couples have, some hard and sad times too, but in the years to come, they know it will be worth it all.

The girls are growing day by day and they will become fine young women one day, their proud parents will be there with them every step of the way!

People go about their daily lives, dashing from doing one job to the next, a guy perched on the sidewalk and singing can be an interruption to the flow of your day a little hiccup, enough to stop and listen…

Many people think that a street performer is a lazy guy begging for money, couldn’t he just go and get a job, and some might be just to busy to appreciate the performance…

But for Jesse Rya things were different, he played his guitar outside the grocery store in Dallas-Fort Worth in Texas!

Jesse sat next to the store, he was singing an original song of his own, anyone could just stop and listen to it. As it happens a tall man came up to him, he had a small thought that someone had come to move him on, out of the way of customers.

However, when you’re making the right kind of noise, full of joy, it can be really infectious and carry the feelings with it!

The guy who approached Jesse was nonother than Howard Mullins, he wasn’t coming to move him on he was coming to join in with him…

At first, Howards just listened, quietly appreciating the song, but then, like he had been compelled by a force beyond him, he just joined right in, being creative and following his heart and creative inner self.

Howard improvised with Jesse while joining in…

They sang:

Then two other men came over, they walked over with a kind of swag that said they were coming for some of the action.

They didn’t stop the song though, they were wearing yellow reflective vests, and one of them Ron Lashey, dances next to them, singing along with them.

Ron’s obvious natural skill is not just dancing and singing though, he gets right into a rapid-fire freestyle rap about persistence in the plight of struggle.

Then after that, the three ‘artists‘ who are also three strangers to each other, break up and go off in different directions.

An onlooker, James Maldondo, just happened to catch it all going on and after he shared it online. The video quickly gathered momentum until it got millions of views.

Rya posted on social media so he could ask names of the fellow singers, he never thought that he would find out their names though.

It wasn’t long before they all found fame and they even made it to the Jimmy Kimmel show and onstage, the late-night host even accompanied on the sax!

This really was an awesome gathering like an angel from above had pushed them all together and then watched the show, some artists believed that in their sculptures the art was already formed inside, they just needed to reveal it, well these guys had talent, and for sure they revealed it to the world!

There are often things behind your walls you might not imagine, it’s times like home renovations that can reveal them, things like cash, jewels, antiques. As you pull out the old ready to replace with the new almost anything unexpected could be hidden!

Mark Von Thaden in California had a surprise behind his walls, but sadly for him, he wasn’t going to find something as lavish as what we said before, what he found was a critter had been doing his own renovations… and it looks like he has been doing it for a very long time!

Mark just wanted to give his pool house a facelift, make it look sleek and cool inside, in the video clip he explains some of the work he needed to do, but after removing the wooden panels he notices many little holes in the walls.

Mark, with a little doom in his voice, happens to mention that he hates woodpeckers, funnily enough, a naughty little bird, a woodpecker, has been drilling holes in the walls for a special reason, he was creating a snack shack of his very own!

Mark was soon going to discover that Woody the Woodpecker himself, had been a busy boy pushing acorns into the holes he drilled, for a long time!

Unfortunately for the bird, this strange tree was hollow and the acorns would fall to the bottom where he couldn’t reach them!

Even though he was on a fruitless task he just couldn’t stop himself, acorn after acorn, like throwing quarters in a slot machine, one after the other, mar was soon to discover exactly how many acorns were behind the walls…

You know those bins you see at the grocery store, the vertical ones that contain nuts, beans, and rice? when you lift the slot they pour out…

Well watch the video when he lifts the insulation back, does it remind you of anything else, like in your grocery store?

This little woody-woodpecker had unknowingly been creating a mass food storage unit for acorns and that is just why this quite unhappy guy hates woodpeckers!

He certainly has his work cut out for him now, for sure!!

A childbirth is both a special thing and a unique miracle, each and every time, especially for loving parents…

There are some births that really are unique, in a way every birth is unique, but some more than other births.

This one couple has always said to themselves that they really want a family, and it wasn’t long at all after they got married that they found out that they were going to be parents.

They really didn’t imagine that they were going to have a pregnancy that was one in a million!

Tim and Bathani first met each other about two years before they finally married in the June of 2015, then around three months after that Bethani went to the hospital after she discovered that she was pregnant, for her routine ultrasound checkup.

When the nurse realized that the image on the ultrasound was very special, both her and the parents were in disbelief at what their eyes could see on the scan!

The couple never could have imagined in a million years that they were going to have four identical quadruplet girls, in fact the chances of this happening are about one in fifteen million!

Bethani said:

“I could not believe it, I was in such shock. Honestly, I thought the ultrasound tech was joking. I couldn’t believe it”

Although she had to have a C-section around the 33 weeks mark, in the June of 2016, four healthy little girls were born and called Grace, Emily, Abigail, and McKayla.

Neither mom nor dad of the little girls had any previous history of quads in their past that they knew of, however the children were conceived naturally, so, you can understand how rare his occurrence was!

If they had undergone any kind of fertility treatment, then we might understand that this happened, for for a natural conception this was completely amazing!

The couple are having a really hard time being able to tell the twins apart though, but to help with the problem they painted their toenails in different colors, its their secret code!

Caring for just one newborn baby is pretty hard work, but for four, managing day to day tasks really seems gargantuan, it’s a wonder how their mental state remains in tact each and every 24 hours!

Having four little cheeky babies is so much more expensive than you could imagine though and they rely on weekly donations to help them to survive sometimes too!

Bethani said:

“It’s really amazing, because there would be no way we could do this by ourselves”

The couple feel really blessed, even though sometimes they just don’t know how they are going to cope with it all.

The family now live with Tim’s mom, she really does love her grandchildren dearly, they make her feel so happy!

Life really has got surprises for us all, but its how we cope with those surprises that defines you as a person and show haw beautiful people we can be too!

The community group together in Johns Island, South Carolina, still very emotional after a complete nightmare of a situation, they had been searching for 24 hours for a girl that as kidnapped, Heidi Renae, just 4 years-old.

Thankfully everyone feels a sense of relief that she has been discovered alive and safe in Alabama, but shocked about the circumstances around her disappearance back on 13th February this year.

There are five children living with their parents, Heidi was one of those five in a lovely community of Johns Island before this terrible thing happened.

Her father is a member of the coast guard and her mo is a stay at home mom who cares for all the children and their home, at the time it happened her father was out training with his work, out of town!

The day it happened was an awful day, a guy came into the family home, beat up Heidi’s mom and took Heidi with him, kidnapped, and gone!

The police said that the first feeling that something was wrong came when Heidi’s mom didn’t turn up to pick up her two older children from the school…

The police went to the family home and then discovered that Heidi’s mom was there but had been ‘brutally beaten’, there were two siblings there, younger in age than Heidi and Heidi herself was gone!

The police took action straight away and rushed Heidi’s mother to the hospital, she needed immediate surgery, her injuries were severe!

The community was truly shocked an horrified by what had happened, they joined forces with the police to search high and low for the little girl!

In the end, a railroad crew that was working over in Riverside, Alabama, 400 miles away from where Heidi lived were responsible for leading police to the child after they saw a car parked in the nearby woods that was suspicious.

Rick Oliver, Police Chief from Riverside arrived and approached the vehicle, as he got closer he saw a guy sleeping, also inside the car was the little girl!

As they confronted the guy, he quickly pushed the girl out of the car to the police, then he drove off as fast as he could.

The guy was later arrested like he could ever have thought he would actually be able to get away, he is 37-years-old, called Thomas Lawton Evans and he was only released from prison a few short weeks ago!

Police were seriously attempting to ascertain why he did it and if there was any connection from him to the Todd family, or if it was just a random attack.

The little girl seemed to be physically unharmed, she was sat happily eating snacks and watching cartoons, but little do we know about the psychological effects the while ordeal has had on her.

She waited with the authorities who tried to make her as comfortable as possible while her farther came to collect her, he took a flight from Charleston straight away after he got the news about his daughter.

John Tecklenburg, Charleston Mayor announced the news that the little girl had been found, there was a lot of relief and cheers from the crowd, but everyone continued to pray for Heidi’s mom, still in hospital and seriously injured.

Tecklenburg said:

“What could have been a day of real tragedy has turned out to be a day of great joy”

Oliver agreed, and he said that Heidi’s safe return to the family was one of the greatest days of his 20-year career in law enforcement.

Oliver said:

“This is a blessing …It is nothing to do with luck. The good Lord put me in that place.”

You only get one chance to make a first impression, but these teenagers did everything they could when they realized their mistake.

A waiter in Los Angeles was serving four teens, really making sure that their evening was perfect. He then received a not so satisfying tip… The waiter was disappointed and upset that the kids and other people don’t understand the custom of tipping well for hard work.

He described on social media how he felt as a waiter when he only received a $3.28 tip from the teenagers:

“Nothing more frustrating than when I get little to nothing for a tip and the customer is smiling and thanking me profusely as they exit”. But then something very unexpected happened!

Roughly one week later, he received a letter:

“About a week and a half ago, on October 7, my 3 friends and I came to eat at this restaurant as our own homecoming celebration. It was an exciting experience for us to be here alone, and it was all new to us.

The bill was reasonable, but we had completely forgotten (and frankly didn’t know) what a tip even was, let alone how much to give. So we emptied our pocked and all our money added up to $3.28.”

“Not aware of how small this really was, we left, clueless of what we had left you for all your hard work.

So in this envelope, you will find the correct 18% tip + extra for simply being amazing. We appreciate your help and patience and thank you for making our night fun. Thank you!”

The bill was roughly $100, and a $3.28 tip is less than four percent! Thankfully, the teens realized their mistake and made sure to handle it appropriately.

The waiter posted a picture of the letter online along with some inspiring and kind words:

“I’ve been serving a long time, and nothing like this has ever happened to me, or anyone. I don’t know how you learned or educated yourself on tipping, but I really appreciate the effort and kindness. I hope your Homecoming was fantastic!”

It’s not every day that people go that extra mile to right their mistakes, but when they do it can make all the difference in the world – and this hardworking waiter truly deserved it!

It all starts with a teacher, way over her head as a young teacher, based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana called Chelsea Haley, 24 years-old and single…

Haley was part of teaching for America and her goal was to help, or hope to help, and make a difference to students at a low-income school, but there was one student, a fourth-grade young boy who almost drove her to quit!

The little boy, a 12-year-old Jerome Robinson was not very cooperative at all, in fact, he was flunking everything, not only did he fail at school work but he was also often suspended …a real pain!

Hailey thought at the time:

“At certain points, his behavior got so bad, I thought, ‘I can’t do this anymore,’ ..I can’t be a teacher.”

But being the strong determined person that she was she carried on, every day picking herself up and getting on. She found out that Jerome’s home life, which was riddled with psychological hurt and despair, it was very tender for him at home.

Haley said:

“It was really hard on her after she lost her husband …It was just a combination of tragedy coupled with the other social situations you face when you live in poverty.”

Haley realized also that Jerome’s birth mom, whose young daughter also passed away was really struggling.

The commitment that Haley had with teach America was coming to the end of its two-year term, but she still felt drawn to remain there for another year after she needed to.

In the fall of 2015 something pivotal happened, but she didn’t realize at the time, sh had a dream that absolutely changed the direction of her life forever more!

In her dream she heard God’s voice, the voice told her that she was to be Jerome’s mother. She didn’t think too much about it but laughed the thought away at first.

Then, out of the blue something else happened, the very next day at work, she sat watching Jerome, pondering her dream, he was quietly taking a test.

Haley said she felt a calm come over her, like an angels breath, a godly calm, then at that moment Jerome looked up and asked her something.

Haley said that:

“He just asked me if he could live with me …I told him I had been feeling the same thing.”

Jerome’s birth mother confirmed the path set out for them as she also asked about the adoption of her sons Jerome and Jace then smaller younger one, to give them a better life!

Putting all her trust in God, Haley adopted Jerome and Jace, she took a teaching job in Georgia, it was a big change in her life a real curveball, but she says she wouldn’t change a thing!

Jerome is really doing well in school now, he is on the honor roll for the first time in his entire life.

For Haley paying the bills and keeping on top of her finances is really hard, now a single mother living off a teachers salary, but God has always provided for them.

Haley said:

“I always knew I wanted to be a mom and I wouldn’t trade this for anything”

Everyone from around the world has been moved by her story and also offered financial support to the family, the money will help Jace stay in preschool and provide a college tuition for both of the boys in the future!

There are around 3.5 million cats that enter the United States, in animal shelters, each year according to the National Kitten Coalition…

It’s thought that of those about 1.5 million are euthanized each year, and that is just because they couldn’t find a loving family to adopt them.

One of the lucky ones, that did get adopted, called Ares, was taken from the shelter just before new years eve of 2017. His sister also found her way to the Wisconsin Humane Society’s Door too, as strays.

Just a short few weeks later, Alana Hadley visited the Sturgeon Bay shelter and she fell head over heels in love with a really sweet kitten!

She asked, very excitedly, about his sister also, called Aphrodite, but at that time an adoption for her was pending, so they couldn’t let her go.

This sweet little kitten, Ares, was taken home, as a solo artist, and all seemed well at first, until the first night, he began meowing, and he would just not stop!

Kittens absolutely make quite a bit of noise, even though they are small and when they feel lonely too, or even a little afraid. So understandably Hadley gave the kitten a fluffy toy, to snuggle and cuddle.

That would have been a perfect solution, but unfortunately, Ares decided that this cute fluffy toy wasn’t going to satisfy him, not in the least bit…

So the meowing went on, and on and on some more like it would never end!

Hadley sent a message to the shelter, some action was needed, but what he didn’t know was…

Hadley said:

“He has been almost non-stop meowing until he goes to sleep …and then meows again when he’s awake.”

Just as an amazing turn of fate, and with perfect timing, the person who was going to adopt Aphrodite, well it just didn’t happen, so in an excited flurry, Hadley shot back to the shelter!

Both brother and sister seemed so incredibly excited to see each other, Hadley knew what was needed, and what he wanted from the beginning, he also adopted Aphrodite too, right then and there!

Once they all got home, it was, of course, the puuuur-fect solution after all!

Hadley said:

“They both love to cuddle and purr like crazy when we are holding them … They sleep most of the day,” she explained, “and they cuddle each other when they sleep!”

Hadley said a little more recently that both kittens are happy as can be together and really do belong together.

Maybe Ares somehow realized that Aphrodite was the one and only Greek goddess of love, or so it would seem!

Get yourself acquainted with the 2018 Gerber baby, this lovely 1-year-old picked from over 140,000 entries by other hopeful parents all across the USA. The baby picked was Lucas Warren…

The 1-year-old from Dalton, in Georgia, is the very first baby that has Down syndrome to ever claim the coveted honor of being Gerber’s Spokesbaby!!

Ever since 2010, Gerber has held, each year, a competition to find a new face, baby-face, to represent their brand. Before the yearly contests were held they used the babyface that was drawn in charcoal, the original Gerber baby, which was Ann Turner Cook, the face of Gerber since 1927, wow!

The team at Gerber looked over many of the competition entries of lovely babies from all over the country, but after all that, it was Lucas that stood apart from all the others.

Lucas’s father, Jason Warren, was in floods of tears, completely overwhelmed with happiness, gratitude and above all, he was so proud of his son!

Cortney Warren said:

“He’s very outgoing and never meets a stranger …He loves to play, loves to laugh and loves to make other people laugh.”

Cortney entered their son into the competition because a relative had suggested it, just interested to know if others found his smile as infectious as the rest of the family did too.

Cortney said that one of his absolute best features was his lovely heart winning smile!

The proud father, with tears in his eyes told about how he wished the world would see and be more accepting and loving of children with special needs.

He said:

“We’re hoping this will impact everyone”

“[We’re hoping] that it will shed a little bit of light on the special needs community and help more individuals with special needs be accepted and not limited”

“They have the potential to change the world, just like everybody else.”

Courtney said that she has a great worry about her son as he grew up, to worry about bullies targeting him because he was different, but hopes that he will look back with pride that he was the face of Gerber!

Cortney said:

“He may have Down syndrome, but he’s always Lucas first …We’re hoping when he grows up and looks back on this, he’ll be proud of himself and not ashamed of his disability.”

Bill Partyka, CEO of Gerber, said:

“Lucas’ winning smile and joyful expression won our hearts this year, and we are all thrilled to name him our 2018 Spokesbaby.”

He also said that Lucas was the perfect fit for the company’s slogan, that every baby is a Gerber baby.

Lucas is blissfully unaware that he, even now, he is charting new territory for other kids with special needs and their families too!

His sweet smile and his bright eyes that just endure, the world will have a realyl wonderful way to see that a person with down syndrome is simply another person, to live and love!
