When Michael Carter, a police officer, appeared in court, everything pointed toward him – He was wrongfully convicted of a crime he didn’t commit, but he was powerless to fight against the system.
Heartbroken, he asked for a final wish, to see his K9 Luke for one last time.
However, neither Michael nor anyone else could ever assume what would happen next.
When Luke approached his partner, he started barking. All of a sudden, he started sniffing Michael’s jacket. At that moment, a tiny metal device fell on the floor.
It was a recorder that held information of the truth about Michael’s case.
Intrigued, the judged asked the recording to be played and to everyone’s surprise, they could hear the voice of Michael’s supervisor, Captain Ray Harding.
Harding was speaking of planting evidence that would make Michael appear guilty of bribery and other crimes.
After accepting it as an evidence, the judge changed his verdict. Finally, Michael was a free man, or at least he though so.
Since there was not enough evidence to open a case against Captain Harding, Michael and Sarah, one of his colleagues, decided to search for the truth.
But it wasn’t an easy task.
One night, while the two were going through some documents at Michael’s place, a group of armed people entered the house and opened fire.
Michael and Sarah fought back, trying to escape while trying to protect the documents that revealed information of everyone involved in the case of corruption Michael was accused of.
Things turned heated, but then K9 Luke got into action. He rushed towards the intruders and started barking, trying to protect his partner.
While Luke struggled to chase the shooters away, Michael was able to call back up.
Luckily, police arrived at the scene in no time and were able to arrest one of the intruders.
Following the thorough investigation, a huge scandal of corruption within the police was discovered. May influential people, including a powerful politician, were involved.
Had it not been for Luke and his loyalty, Michael could have easily end up in prison for a crime he never committed.
