News on Simon Cowell’s health following electric bike accident

When it comes to music talent shows, Simon Cowell is the first name that comes to mind. He’s considered one of the strictest and most harsh judges, but his experience in the music business and industry gives him all the right to tell contestants the truth about their performance on the stage of American Idol, America’s Got Talent and The X Factor.

His scathing critical remarks became sort of trademark on the shows and people can’t wait to hear him judge the way only he can.

Some of the music names we have Cowell to thank for are WestlifeLittle MixLeona LewisOlly MursFifth Harmony, and Il Divo.

When he was young, Cowell didn’t really excel at school so his parents sent him to a boarding school, but at the age of 16, he left it. He didn’t like the life there, which could be seen from a letter he wrote to his parents back then and which was handed to him during an appearance at a British TV show. According to Daily Star the letter read:

“Dear Mum and Dad, I hope you’re happy to have finally got rid of me.

“I also hope you’re happy in your centrally heated warm house and you have a lot to eat, because I’m lying in a dormitory which has icicles on the inside, and there is nothing to eat. I’m freezing cold and hungry. I hope you’re finally satisfied. Simon.”

However, Cowell later said how he was in fact glad he went through that experience and wasn’t really mad at his mom and dad. “Every time I was sitting in chemistry lessons with stupid Bunsen burners and stuff, I thought, ‘I’m not going to do that when I’m 30.’ I’d get bored and I’d get frustrated and I couldn’t wait to leave,” he said.

Once he left school, he started working with his dad and soon after, he started his own business which wasn’t as successful as he expected. Eventually, Cowell founded S Records Label and his career took off almost overnight. By 2001 Cowell’s name was widely recognized across the Atlantic when he and Spice Girls’ manager Simon Fuller created the talent show Pop Idol. Cowell realized people loved it very much and he knew these shows would become his thing. Soon after, he became a multi-millionaire and is still one of the best in the business.

In 2014, Cowell became a dad. He and Lauren Silverman welcomed son Eric.

“Meeting Lauren and becoming a dad was the most fantastic thing to happen in my life,” Cowell told Hello Magazine.

“It’s hard when you have kids at my age but it’s amazing. When you work as hard as I do, you think, ‘What’s it all going to be for at the end?’ Then somebody like him comes along and it’s all worthwhile.”

In 2017, Cowell fell down the stairs due to low blood pressure but luckily didn’t suffer any serious injuries. That experience, however, was a wake-up call for him to change his lifestyle. He went vegan and lost around 60 pounds. “I can eat certain fruits, but not all fruits. You have to be careful because some fruit can have more sugar than a can of Coke,” Cowell told The Sun. “Once you get into a pattern I’ve found it quite enjoyable. It has helped me sleep and I wake up feeling less tired. I noticed a massive difference in how I felt in about a week.”

Sadly, Cowell suffered another accident last year after he fell off his electric bike. He hurt his back badly and had to undergo a six-hour surgery.

He even warned his fans to be extra cautious when riding electric bikes. “Some good advice… If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time,” he wrote on Twitter along with a thank you for the kind messages.

Speaking to Extra TV, Cowell explained that he felt really frightened when he saw the X-ray of his back. “I knew I’d broken my back the minute I landed. It was really, really kind of sudden and it hurt,” he said. “It could have been a lot worse. When I saw the X-ray, I really nearly could have smashed my spine to pieces, so I literally wouldn’t have been able to walk.”

The recovery did take some time, although Cowell revealed that he got out of bed and started walking just two days after his surgery. Speaking to People, he said he felt “embarrassed about coming home looking about 100 because I couldn’t walk, and I have these metal rods in my back and these screws.”

He also shared a sweet moment he shared with his son Eric. “I said, ‘Lauren, I just don’t know how to explain it to Eric.’ She obviously said something to him because he came in and I was lying in bed and he said, ‘Daddy, you’re like Ironman,’ and I thought that was the sweetest thing and it meant a lot.”

The good thing is that he’s feeling better and better with each passing day and keeps himself in great shape by walking and exercising. According to The Sun, we’ll see Cowell back for the shooting of the new season of America’s Got Talent.

The pandemic allowed him to spend more time with his family and run his business from the comfort of his home. One thing is certain, Simon Cowell looks better than ever.

Experts reveal that Harry and William will stand “shoulder to shoulder” at Prince Philip’s funeral

As the British people, as well as people from all over the world, mourn the loss of Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh and life-long husband of Queen Elizabeth, all eyes are on the Royal family.

The protocol about the funeral that will take place on April 17 has been released and it was said that Prince Philip will be laid to rest in the famous St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. The funeral will start with a national minute of silence and his coffin will be carried in a specially built Land Rover Prince Phillip himself helped design.

The Buckingham Palace released a statement. “The Funeral Service will be attended by Her Majesty The Queen and Members of the Royal Family.

“The coffin, carried by a Bearer Party found by the Royal Marines, will be received at the top of the West Steps of St George’s Chapel by the Dean of Windsor and the Archbishop of Canterbury. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Naval Cap and Sword will be placed on the coffin ahead of the service and His Royal Highness’s Insignia will be laid on the Altar of the Chapel. At the conclusion of the service, His Royal Highness will be interred in the Royal Vault in St George’s Chapel.”

Because of the pandemic, the number of people who will attend the funeral is around 30, and Prince Harry will be one of them.

The wide public is in anticipation to see if the relationship between Prince Philip’s grandsons William and Harry will heal after the bombshell Oprah interview. The brothers are about to see each other at their grandfather’s funeral during which they will be standing “shoulder to shoulder” according to experts.

After the number of claims and comments revealed by The Sussexes, among which the one that William and Charles are trapped inside the system, the brothers haven’t been on good terms, and according to sources, Harry even wanted to ask from his family to apologize to Meghan over the way they treated her.

“The problem with Harry is that he’s hooked on being right and regardless of saying he wants to move on from this, he won’t back down until he gets some form of apology from his family,” a source told US Weekly.

US Weekly correspondent Christina Garibaldi revealed: “William thinks Harry chose fame over family,” as quoted by Express.

“A source tells us that ‘William feels that Harry has got too big for his boots since moving to California and that success and Hollywood has gone to his head. He’s already accused him of putting fame over family after the big interview but is willing to give Harry one last chance to prove his loyalty to his family.”

Many want to believe that attending Prince Philip’s funeral together is the start of the reconciliation between the brothers.

According to Daily Mail, royal expert and author Penny Junior said: “My hope is that if something good can come out of the Duke’s death it will be that it brings the family together. But clearly there is a lot of hurt there on all sides, and I imagine they will all be feeling apprehensive about seeing one another again.

“With luck, their desire to support the Queen and pull together for her sake, which I am sure is what the Duke would have wanted, will win the day.”

We truly hope the two princes will be able to rebuild their relationship.

Prince Philip spent the final days of his life at Windsor Castle by Queen Elizabeth’s side

It was Her Majesty The Queen who shared the news of the passing of her husband of 73 years, Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh.

Prince Philip died two months before what would have been his milestone birthday. He was 99 years old and described by many as one of the most special individuals there are.

Although he was a prince himself, he had to give away his title Prince of Greece and Denmark and had to accept that his children wouldn’t have his last name. But, he did all that for the love of his life who he supported throughout their marriage of many years.

Prince Andrew, Prince Philip’s son, said: “The Queen as you would expect is an incredibly stoic person. And she described his passing as a miracle. And she’s contemplating. She described it as having left a huge void in her life,” as per CNN. The Queen and the entire family were glad Prince Philip didn’t die at the hospital but in the comfort of his home, the Windsor Castle.

Almost a month prior to his passing, Prince Philip stayed at a hospital for some time in order to be supervised by doctors because of his fragile health. He was released on March 16 and now details of his final days have emerged.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, royal expert Richard Kay shared: “No longer the decisive man of action who had devoted a lifetime to supporting her, she was now able to repay him.

“Domestic timetables such as mealtimes were torn up to accommodate him when he felt he was strong enough to join her. Even with failing health signalling that his life was drawing to a close, the two were still able to enjoy time with each other as they always had.

“In recent weeks he would often sleep for much of the day, but there were moments of great lucidity and joyful togetherness.

“One such moment came when he dropped his reading glasses. A footman in attendance leapt forward to pick them up. ‘Never mind,’ the duke said, raising his arm. ‘I’ll do it.’ And so he did, bending down to the floor.

“On another occasion the Queen was overheard reflecting that her husband of 73 years was refusing to use his hearing aid. ‘It means we have to shout.’”

Some days when he felt better, he and the Queen would go outside the castle to take in the sun.

Prince Philip’s last wish was to remain in his home, and according to a source, there were suggestions for him to be taken back to the hospital last Thursday but the Queen rejected that because she wanted to grant him his wish.

According to what Charles Anson, who served as a press secretary to the Queen, told People, she was somehow preparing for the moment of losing her husband.

“She would have thought about this moment several times, and her way would be to remain as steady and as calm as possible.

“That comes naturally to her through her temperament and her experience.

“In my years of working for her she was always calm, no matter what was going on. But for any human being, this is a very cathartic moment.

“There were some things they had to deal with together that were difficult, but it was a long marriage with a great deal of happiness. He took very seriously his role as a support for the Queen as monarch.”

Rest in peace, Prince Philip. Our hearts go out to the Queen and the royal family.

Mom holds her dead preemie for two hours and begs him to come back to life

Learning the news that they are expecting a baby is something many couples dream of, especially if they had struggled conceiving for a long time.

A coupe from Australia, Kate Ogg and David were over the moon when they were told they would become parents after years of trying.

Their joy was doubled when they spotted two babies during the ultrasound.

However, twins pregnancies can be complicated at times, so Kate had to give birth to her two bundles of joy prematurely. Sadly, baby boy Jamie was declared dead soon after he was welcomed into the world. Or, at least doctors thought so.

Baby Emily was perfectly healthy, but neither Kate nor David would accept that Jamie didn’t make it.

They asked from the doctors to spend some time with him before saying the final goodbye.

The motionless tiny body broke the parents’ hearts, but they never stopped fighting for his life.

“I saw him gasp but the doctor said it was no use. I took Jamie off the doctor, asked everyone to leave. He was cold and I just wanted him to be warm,” Kate told The Daily Mail.

Both Kate and David crawled into the bed with their son and had him close to their skin.

They spoke to him, sang him songs, and told him how much they loved him.

Sweet Jamie would gasp every now and then, but the medical staff told the parents that it was just his reflexes and that they shouldn’t expect a miracle.

But, a miracle did happen. After the skin-to-skin contact that lasted for a couple of hours, Jamie was there, he started breathing on his own. He was alive!

Needless to say, the doctors were left in complete shock, but the parents knew their love was so strong that it helped their little one live.

David said, “Luckily I’ve got a very strong, very smart wife. She instinctively did what she did. If she hadn’t done that, Jamie probably wouldn’t be here.”

The happy parents were able to leave the hospital they way it should always be, with their both children in their arms.

Now, after 9 years, Emily and Jamie are perfectly healthy children. Doctors feared that what happened at birth could affect Jamie’s life, but they were wrong again.

Take a look at the miraculous story in the video below.

Couple driving on Boulder Highway in Las Vegas spot a toddler biking right into oncoming traffic

Sometimes, it takes just a second of not looking for little children to wander off and find themselves in extremely dangerous situations.

A husband and a wife were driving along the Boulder Highway outside of Las Vegas when they spotted a very young boy riding his tiny bike in the middle of the highway. Knowing that there aren’t many houses there, as it’s mostly desert and very few suburbs, they were pretty much shocked by the sight. In fact, the husband repeatedly asked his wife to turn the flashers on as he thought he was seeing wrong.

The toddler could barely walk but he still managed to ride his bike very slowly.

The woman, who was behind the wheel, pulled her car over and had her flashes on, trying to block the traffic in order to avoid a tragedy from happening. Both she and her husband rushed out of the vehicle and the man grabbed the boy together with his bike.

On the other side of the road, the couple spotted a block of houses and assumed the boy got out of home without being noticed so they started ringing houses’ bells and looking for the parents while waiting for the police to arrive.

One of the residents, Matthew Eskridge, spoke to Fox 5 and explained how the man approached him and asked him if he knew who the boy belonged to. “As I came out the mom was running down the street and she ran out the gate cause she seen the cars parked on the side of the road,” Eskridge added.

The mom was in panic and feared the worst. However, the moment she spotted her son, she was relieved.

The mother said she didn’t notice her boy leaving the place and explained how the gate to the neighborhood isn’t always closed and doesn’t latch properly. Although the community is gated, being located so close to the highway is indeed risky.

We are so glad a tragedy was avoided all thanks to the couple who spotted the wobbling toddler just on time.

Mom thinks dog is lost, only to find him napping with her toddler

That dogs and tiny humans make best of friends is something we all know. These furry creatures always make sure their human siblings are happy and laughing and would do everything in their power to keep them safe and sound at all times.

There are also those parents who don’t want pets around the house, and it’s pity they are not really aware what their children are missing. Growing around a dog gives kids the feeling of protection and they learn how to be loving and responsible.

When a mom named Kristin Leigh Rhynehart introduced her newborn baby to her rescue dog Raven, she knew the two would fit just perfectly, but she never expected for Raven to fall in love with baby Addison so much and to never ever leave her side.

Raven was adopted nearly ten years ago and he made this family’s life better than ever.

One day, as the baby was in her room sound asleep, Kristin though it would be a great opportunity for her to spend some fun time with the dog, but to her surprise, Raven was nowhere to be found.

Kristen panicked and checked all the rooms once again before she went outside looking for the dog. She then got back in the house and realized there was one room she didn’t look Raven at; her baby’s room.

Once she opened the door, she stumbled upon the cutest sight ever. Raven was lying next to Addison, covered in blankets. He casually lifted his head and when he saw it was Kristin who was at the door, he simply continued napping next to his favorite human.

Kristin felt overjoyed as she was now more certain than ever that Raven was the perfect protector.

“Ten years ago I left a rescue with this little guy and I often wonder… who rescued who? I gave him a home, but he gave me so, so much more.” Kristin said.

Thankfully, she put everything on tape and people fell in love with what they had to see. The video has been seen more than 10 million times, and everyone agrees that dogs really are the best creatures God has ever created.

Six siblings get adopted together after spending 1,640 days in foster care

Because of one reason or another, a lot of children end up being part of the foster care system. A lot of them go from one family to another before being adopted, if that ever happens.

When siblings are placed in foster care, they are likely to be separated because the people who look for a child to foster or adopt usually ask for a single kid only. Sadly, it means that some of these brothers and sister only get to reunite once they leave the system. For others, that never happens.

Carlos, 14, Guadalupe, 13, Maria, 12, Selena, 10, Nasa, 9, and Max, 7, had a rough start early in life.

Left to fend for themselves, and being in the system, these siblings’ future was uncertain. They didn’t want to get separated, but that wasn’t the choice they could make for themselves.

Source: YouTube/TODAY

However, their life changed for the better when they least expected after a couple, Steve and Rob Anderson-McLean, stumbled upon a photo of this cute family of six.

Speaking to Today, Rob recalled: “We saw their picture and fell in love. So many sibling groups are broken up because people just want to adopt the younger children. Steve and I knew these guys needed to be together.” Luckily, that’s exactly what happened. In 2018, all the six siblings got a home without having to be parted from one another.

“After the first week they were asking if they could stay forever. We took them to the park and to the zoo. We played in the yard. That was all new to them. Having fun was new to them,” Steve shared with Today.

Source: YouTube/TODAY

Time passed by, and the kids started feeling like home. In the meantime, the adoption process was ongoing and everyone was hoping that the family will stay together forever.

Luckily, that’s exactly what happened. The adoption was officialized in 2019, and those witnessing the moment at the court shed tears of joy for the new family. “The kids felt this huge sense of relief. They had been let down by adults so many times in their life, and were nervous it wasn’t going to happen, Steve said.

Source: YouTube/TODAY

The kids couldn’t believe they were officially adopted. Steve recalled that one night, 7-year-old Max went to his room and wanted to make sure that they couldn’t possibly be unadopted. Steve assured him that they were now their children and no one could ever separate them.

We are so happy for this incredible family. We don’t get to read stories this uplifting every day, so make sure you share this one with your loved ones.

Woman who was sexually abused for years by her mother, brother, and stepfather was forced to dig her baby’s body from the grave to get justice

Some people’s life journey is so sad and full of obstacles and difficulties that we can’t help but shed a tear or two when hearing what they had to put up with and what they had to endure.

Maureen Wood, who is now married and a mother of five, has a chilling story to share.

The horror she suffered is unthinkable. She was only eight years old when her life changed completely. She remembers the day when she was for the first time abused by her older brother. It was a day like any other. The family was outside having a water fight when Maureen went inside the house to change her clothes. It was then that her brother entered the bathroom and started touching her. Although she was young, she knew what he did was terribly wrong, but she didn’t have the courage to speak out.

Posted by Crime Alert on Tuesday, 5 January 2016

The abuse continued, and one day, around a year after it started, Maureen’s stepfather walked in to see her brother abusing her. “I felt relieved – because I thought he would stop it. I thought he would look after me,” Maureen recalled, as per The Mirror. Sadly, things turned even worse as the stepfather started abusing her too.

When her mother learned what was going on, Maureen, who was 10 at that point, believed her struggles would end. “I hoped against hope that my mum might step in and help me. But she walked into my bedroom and called me a ‘little wh**e.'”

The cruel mother became part of the abuse herself.

“They used to make me sleep in their bed, between them, and they took it in turns to abuse me. My mum helped to get me ready for when my step-dad would rape me,” Maureen said, as per The Mirror.

Posted by Crime Alert on Tuesday, 5 January 2016

At the age of 13, Maureen got pregnant with her brother’s baby. She was still just a girl, and her mom only cared about what people would say in case they learned her daughter was carrying a child.

Maureen gave birth to a baby boy, Christopher, who only lived for a month.

“I adored him with all of my heart and for the first time in my life, I felt what love was.”

“When he died, I felt like my life had ended, my world had finished. He was the only person I truly loved,” Maureen told The Mirror. “It was raining the day we buried him. I felt like the heavens were crying with me and I just wanted to die.”

After Christopher’s death, Maureen’s brother and mother stopped abusing her, but she was still a victim of her step-father until she ran away from home when she turned 16.

It took Maureen years to find the courage to share her story and seek justice for everything she had to endure. At the age of 37, she went to court. However, she was asked for a proof, so this brave woman was forced to dig up her late baby’s body to be examined. The DNA sample showed that Maureen’s brother was indeed Christopher’s father. “It was almost as if Christopher was watching over me, helping my court case. He was – and still is – my guardian angel,” Maureen said.

Posted by Maureen Catherine Wood on Tuesday, 16 March 2021

Maureen got to see her brother sentenced to two years in jail, while her mother and her step-father were jailed for nine years and sixteen years respectively.

The chilling story was shared in Maureen’s book A Family Secret: My Shocking True Story of Surviving.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, now 51-year-old Maureen said that writing the book helped her close that chapter of her life and encouraged her to move forward.

Recently, he congratulated his mom May Smith on her 89th birthday with a touching message. “Happy 89th birthday to my darling Mother May. You have given me the world with your love. All my love in return.”

The relationship between Brosnan and his mother was quite complex when he was still a child, but he describes her choices as brave and as the only right thing she could do for her and his well-being, referring to her decision to leave him with his grandparents to raise him while she moved from Ireland to England to work as a nurse.

According to the actor, his mother didn’t have it easy after her husband, Brosnan’s father, left her when the actor was still just a baby. She only visited Brosnan once or twice a year for the first ten years of his life. But after that, he went to live with her in London and the two became very close. In fact, they have nurtured that relationship until this day.

“To be Catholic in the ’50s, and to be Irish Catholic in the ’50s, and have a marriage which was not there, a father who was not there, consequently, the mother, the wife suffered greatly,” the actor told Cigar Aficionado in 1997.

Brosnan rose to fame with the number of movies he starred in, including the legendary agent James Bond, whom he played from 1995 to 2002. His first 007 movie was Golden Eye, which was a huge success. Other prominent movies Brosnan was part of are The Thomas Crown Affair, Mrs. DoubtfireThe World’s EndMamma Mia!, and a lot more.

Brosnan and Keely never miss a chance to show their love for another, whether through touching and beautiful photos they share or the sweet messages they devote to one another.

Soldier takes her own life after Army fails to handle the sexual assault she suffered

The life of soldier Morgan Robinson whose only dream was to serve the country and be part of the military ended way too soon because of the sexual assault she endured during deployment.

Today, her grieving mother, Debbie, is looking for the answers and asks for those responsible to be punished for forcing her daughter into taking her own life.

Megan was looking forward to her first deployment in Kuwait as she knew she would serve her country, but the joy was soon replaced with agony. “When she was in Kuwait, she was sexually assaulted and continually harassed by one of her superiors,” Debbie said. Morgan reported the abuse, but the Army remained both blind and deaf.

After Kuwait, Morgan was sent to Afghanistan. There, she undergone another abuse. This time, she was gang-raped by a group of soldiers and was again left traumatized.

“She was very scared. Because they threatened her, number one. And number two, she knew that it wouldn’t go anywhere. Nothing happened in Kuwait with the sexual assault and the harassment, so why would they do something, you know, in Afghanistan?” mother Debbie explained.

Not being able to cope with the emotional agony she suffered as a result of the abuse, Morgan killed herself. “You pray that it — that’s not how it’s going to end up,” mom Debbie said. “It wasn’t a matter of ‘if.’ It was a matter of ‘when.’”

After an investigation was launched, Debbie got a copy of it. “I just didn’t understand how they could actually stand there and look me in the eyes, and hand that to me,” she said of the heavily redacted pages.

She then noticed one of the passages read, “Sergeant Robinson suffered sexual, physical, and psychological trauma while deployed. The sequela of this trauma was a factor in her death.”

Debbie knows things could take a different turn if only the Army did something after her daughter’s reports. But they stayed silent and let her life end. “The military. The way they did not handle what happened,” the grieving mother said. “They can’t police their self. How can you investigate yourself? You can’t.”

The failure to handle Morgan’s sexual abuse led to a young life being taken away. “And to think that that’s what took her life. That’s what broke her. They wanted her body. And they took her soul.”

Take a look at Debbie’s emotional interview in the video below.

Mother and daughter die at the scene after their vehicle plummets 70-feet to the ground from ocean cliff

A mother and daughter lost their lives after the SUV they were driving ended up plunging off of a cliff in Bodega Bay. The vehicle plummeted 70 feet to the ground as other drivers witnessed the horrific incident taking place.

The two women were identified as Maria Teixeira, 64, who worked as a lead custodian at Montevideo Elementary, and Elizabeth Correia, 41, who was a teacher of 16 years at the Lydiksen Elementary School in Pleasanton.

According to the report the California Highway Patrol has released, the mother, Teixeria, was the one driving the vehicle. According to witnesses, the SUV collided with a log barrier at the parking lot after which it didn’t slow down or stop.

Both women were pronounced dead at the scene.

Teixeira’s son, and Correia’s brother, Tim Correia, took to Facebook to express his grief over the devastating loss he suffered. “There is a hole in my heart that will never be filled now. I’m so grateful for them and the time we shared. They will forever be part of me. I love you mom and sis,” he wrote, as reported by People.

An investigation regarding the cause of the fatal crash is still ongoing.

Rest in peace. Our hearts go out to the grieving family.

Couple leaves 16-week-old twins locked up for four days so they could go party – one baby dies, the other fights for life

Not everyone deserves to be a parent. Some people are so careless when it comes to their children that the little ones end up being severely neglected and not cared for properly.

Sadly, such was the case with two 16-week-old twins from Russia whose parents locked them up and left them alone for four days so that they could go out and party. The friends of 23-year-old Margarita Yanayeva and 35-year-old Alexey were surprised to see them out partying during lockdown drinking binge and wondered who was taking care of the little ones, to what the parents responded that the twins were in the hospital being treated for coronavirus.

A source said, “In the course of four days they were not feeding the children, and did not arrange alternative care for them,” as reported by the Daily Mail. “Instead, they ‘subjected them to hunger, did not ensure hygiene, leaving the minors in a socially dangerous state.” They didn’t even bother to check on their children, neither they put any effort in finding someone who could take care of them while they were having fun.

The babies were only discovered after the grandmother tried contacting the parents but failed to reach them. She knew the area of Vilyuchinsk was under lockdown but she still decided to go and see if everything was fine as she was concerned for the safety of the family.

When she entered the apartment, she was left in shock and immediately alerted the police. The babies were in a very bad condition and were immediately rushed to a hospital in Russia’s Kamchatka region.

Sadly, one of the babies, the boy, was so emaciated that he passed away while the baby girl is fighting for her life. The cruel parents have been charged with murder and face up to 20 years in prison if found guilty.

Father is left fighting for his life after being attacked by his son’s bullies on Easter Sunday

The worst thing about bullying is that it is very likely to affect the victim’s self-esteem for life. One doesn’t get away from the trauma of being bullied easily, and that is why we should do all in our power to prevent it from happening. Parents need to teach their children what’s right and what’s wrong from very early age and make sure they understand that bullying is part of the latter.

One father is left fighting for his life after he got attacked by the bullies who were throwing his 11-year-old son on the ground at Longcroft Park, Worthing, West Sussex, on Easter Sunday. The father tried defending his boy, but he ended up being a victim himself. The injuries he sustained were so severe that no one knows for sure what the extent of the damage would be when and if he wakes up.

Currently, 46-year-old Alan Willson, a care home worker, is in a coma in Royal Sussex County Hospital. As reported by The Sun, Alan suffered brain damage, lung trauma, broken bones, and fractured spine.

He is described by his family as the most genuine and most kind person there is.

Alan’s 25-year-old daughter Beckie took to Facebook to write how she feels regarding the tragic incident.

“I just wish I could just see you dad and tell you its going to be okay. Please dad fight for your f*****g life you are such a strong, caring man who has brought us kids up and loved us like we are your own. You have so much life left to live and a granddaughter who needs to grow up with her nan-dad. I wish I could just hold your hand but unfortunately Covid has decided that for us. You can do this dad.

Five teenagers, aged 14 and 15, were arrested, but were released with bail just few hours later, which caused rage at the members of the community. The attackers are charged with attempted murder and grievous bodily harm with intent.

According to Alan’s wife, as well as the police, Alan was hit with hard objects multiple times while his son watched in horror. He had undergone a brain surgery.

“The assault and the build up to it occurred in a public park in daylight, so it was likely that other people would have witnessed the assault or the suspects running from the scene,” Inspector Simon Dunn, who is leading the investigation for Sussex Police, said.

“I am keen to hear from anyone who has information but is yet to come forward.”

A fundraising page has been set up to help Alan’s fight. You can donate here.

Famous animal expert Jack Hanna diagnosed with dementia, family confirms

Jack Hanna, or better known as “Jungle Jack,” is one of the most beloved animal experts that we know of. This man’s TV appearances on a number of talk shows, including “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson,” “Late night with David Letterman” and “Today,” made him a much-loved TV personality. Hanna first appeared on the screens back in 1983, when he brought a baby gorilla on “Good Morning America.”

Ever since, he stole the hearts of millions of animal lovers and that led to his own shows such as Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures and Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild.

A few days ago, Hanna’s family shared some sad news regarding his health with the fans. Through his Twitter account, Hanna’s three daughters wrote how their father was diagnosed with dementia and how his health was deteriorating.

“Today, we reach out to share some personal Hanna Family news. Doctors have diagnosed our dad, Jack Hanna, with dementia, now believed to be Alzheimer’s disease. His condition has progressed much faster in the last few months than any of us could have anticipated. Sadly, Dad is no longer able to participate in public life as he used to, where people all over the world watched, learned and laughed alongside him.

“A passion for wildlife conservation and education has been at the core of who our dad is and everything he has accomplished with the help of so many.”

“He has spent his life connecting people and wildlife because he has always believed that having people see and experience animals is key to engaging them in more impactful conservation efforts. He’s always said, ‘You have to touch the heart to teach the mind.’

“Even though Dad is no longer able to travel and work in the same way, we know that his infectious enthusiasm has touched many hearts and will continue to be his legacy.”

The now 76-year-old Hanna retired from the position of director and then director emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in December 2020 after 42 years of service. The zoo is still considered one of the most beautiful ones in the country.

Hanna’s former colleagues are asking people to join them in sending messages of support to the family.

Stay strong, Jack Hanna.

13-year-old autistic boy dies after being restrained face against the floor by school staff

The tragic death of Max Benson, a 13-year-old autistic boy from California shook the country, and now, almost a year after the horrific incident in which he lost his life, Max’s mother, Stacia Langley, speaks of the life without him and of the case.

Max was attending the special needs school Guiding Hands School Inc. located in El Dorado, which was supposed to be a safe place for its students, but sadly, it wasn’t.

In one occasion, Max was restrained face against floor and kept in that position for more than an hour during which he became unresponsive.

The El Dorado District Attorney announced they were filing charges against three people involved in the incident, Cindy Keller, the school’s executive director, Staranne Meyers, the school’s principal, and Kimberly Wohlwend, a special education teacher.

They have been charged with involuntary manslaughter, and the school is facing charges of felony involuntary manslaughter.

“This charge is based on the November 28, 2018, prone restraint of a minor student by Kimberly Wohlwend that resulted in that student’s death. This case is being filed after a lengthy, multi-agency investigation into the facts and circumstances that led to the death of this student.“

After they noticed Max had stopped breathing, one of the teachers tried to revive him via CPR before he was transferred to UC Davis Medical Center where he died two days later.

Speaking to Sacramento Bee, Max’s mom said, “I haven’t done much except just cry. He had a big personality. He was full of life, he was funny, he was all the things you want your kid to be. People get the wrong idea about autism and what it means. In reality, Max was 5 feet 3 inches tall and only had social delays.”

As the defendants are expected back in court on January 7, the attorney for Keller and Meyers, Linda Parisi said of her clients, “It is always a tragedy when there is a loss of life especially such a young life and a student. These two women have dedicated literally their entire lives to helping, educating, encouraging and working with special needs students.”

We are so very sorry that such young life was lost in such a tragic way. Rest in peace Max, we hope the justice will be served.

Principal’s speech is “interrupted” when teachers storm the stage to “Uptown Funk”

Have you ever been part of a flash mob or witnessed one taking place in front of your eyes? If the answer to either of these questions is a yes, I have to say that I envy you. Why, you may wonder. Well, because flash mobs are not only fun and entertaining, but they take quite a lot of energy and effort to be organized.

This phenomenon first took place back in 2003, when writer and cultural critic Bill Wasic decided to do an experiment called the MOB Project. This project resulted in the streets of New York to be flooded with people who performed unique routines.

Some of the most famous flash mobs are the one taking place at Liverpool Street Station in 2009, when over 400 tourists and staff members showed off their dancing skills. This performance was so great that it was later used by T-Mobile for their advertising campaign. Another would be that of around 1,500 inmates of a Philippine prison. Their flash mob caught the attention of the whole world and even a movie was based on the event.

Well, to be honest, the flash mob in the video below is as cool. It happens during the “boring” speech of the principal of Whitmer High School at the 2017 Homecoming Pep Assembly. As he speaks, the teachers tell him to leave the stage and they start dancing to the surprise of the huge number of students. How cool is that?

As Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” goes on, more and more people join in. Everyone in the crowd watches in awe and has a huge smile of their face.

People loved it so much after it was shared on YouTube that it gathered over 5.8 million views. Isn’t that something?

One person wrote, “This is the America I like.” On top of that, many spoke of how important teachers really are. “This is why we need to protect our public schools and teachers across America. They show up an go beyond both time wise and financially EVERY day. And, they truly do it because they care,” someone wrote, while another added, “Not only did the teachers do this because they love their students, they had to have rehearse for hours of THEIR OWN TIME. Way to go teachers and way to go students for appreciating them.”

Take a look at these awesome teachers’ dance in the video below and share it with your friends, you’ll make their day.

Heartbroken mother speaks of her pain at the funeral of her husband and three children who were killed by her brother

Mitchell Lapa, an 48-year-old man from Oshawa, Canada, did the unthinkable when he left a family devastated and mourning after he killed his sister’s three children and her husband of 20 years.

The whole country was in shock to learn of the gruesome murder by the mentally unstable Mitchell, as he was described by an old friend who also said that he wasn’t surprised by what Mitchell did.

The killer’s sister Loretta Traynor was also injured during the shooting which took place in her home when Mitchell entered armed and opened fire all of a sudden. After taking the lives of his two nephews, Bradley, 20, and Joseph, 11, his niece Adelaide, 15, and his brother-in-law, Mitchell “died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” as reported by Durham Regional Police.

According to a friend of the killer who spoke to Toronto Sun, Mitchell didn’t kill his sister but left her severely injured instead because he wanted her to remain alive and suffer. Loretta’s fourth child, son Sam, survived because he wasn’t home at the time of the attack.

Loretta, who is now in a wheelchair, spoke of her pain and her grief on the funeral of her family. During the service, this devastated mother and wife said that her loved ones “were taken too soon, too violently and without warning,” as reported by CBC.

The surviving members of the Traynor family–Loretta Traynor and her son Sam–have released a statement via Durham…

“In no way, shape or form can I believe that good will come out of this tragedy. I can’t and I won’t accept it,” she added, as per CTV News. “They were the best of me. I have lost so many parts of me that make me a better person.”

With tears in her eyes, the heartbroken mother continued: “I am so proud to be Chris’ wife. I love him with everything that I have. I am so proud to be Bradley’s mom. He was one of the kindest spirits to ever walk the face of this earth. And I am so proud to be Adelaide’s mom. Her heart was pure as gold. And I am so proud to be Joey’s mom. He was innocent and happy and he had the biggest dreams of all of us.”

“My last words to each of them was that I loved them.”

What had happened brought Loretta to “dark places,” as she had to say goodbye to those she loved the most, to the people who made her life complete.

According to CBC, the reason for the killing was the family’s inheritance. Apparently, Mitchell and Loretta’s father left her most of the assets and cut off Mitchell from it for the most part.

Rest in peace!

10-year-old migrant left behind by the group asks agent for help and says he’s afraid for his life in a heartbreaking footage

What has the world come to? We witness horrible things happening every single day; people suffering, losing their jobs, struggling to make ends meet. The footage below is just another example that we are doing something wrong. If not every single person is provided with conditions for a decent life, then things need to change, and they need to change asap.

A 10 year-old-boy, confused and frightened, approached an off duty Border Patrol agent asking for help. The poor boy was a migrant from Nicaragua, but was left behind by the group he was part of when he fell asleep.

ABC 7 reported that the legitimacy of the footage was confirmed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and added that it was taken “on a rainy day in La Grulla, a small community near Rio Grande City just north of the Texas-Mexico border.”

As he got near the officer, the crying boy asked in Spanish: “Can you help me?”

The agent asked him what happened, to what the boy answered that the group dumped him and that he was afraid and concerned that someone might kidnap him.

A CBP spokesperson commented the heartbreaking incident and said: “Scenes like these are all too common, as smugglers continue to abandon children in desolate areas, with zero regard for their well-being.”

After the footage emerged, it was reported that the boy was fed and provided medical help. His family was contacted, and at the time, he is transferred to custody of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Refugee Resettlement, as per ABC 7.

The U.S government declared a crisis at the border in 2014 to address the issue with a huge number of unattended children, as well women, migrating through border checkpoints into the country, especially into Texas.

The royal brothers are reuniting for statue of late mother Princess Diana which will be unveiled on her birthday

Ever since fuel was added to the fire regarding the relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry after the revelations brought up during The Sussexes’ interview, people from all over Britain, as well as the entire world, are eagerly waiting to see how things are going to be between the brothers.

Meghan and Harry said that there were conversations before Archie’s birth about how dark his skin might be. They didn’t want to reveal any names, but apparently, Harry told Oprah after the interview that it wasn’t Queen Elizabeth or Prince Charles. Asked for a comment during a formal visit, Prince William said the Royals were not a racist family.

What shocked many were Harry’s comments about his brother and his father. Explaining that he felt “trapped” in the Royal family but was unaware of that before he met Meghan, Harry said: “My father and my brother, they are trapped. They don’t get to leave, and I have huge compassion for that.”

The former royal added how he was disappointed in his father, Prince Charles, for not taking his calls. Apparently, Harry was also bothered because his family cut him off financially although he and Meghan stepped down from their royal duties and moved to The States.

However, despite the differences and the apparent distance between the brothers, it is their late mother who is smoothing things between them. The Sun reported how William and Harry will meet in order to approve the final design of their late mother’s statue which will be placed in the Sunken Garden, to the east of Kensington Palace, to mark what would be her 60th birthday.

The project started in 2017, and it will finally be ready this year. It is a work of sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley.

We honestly hope that William and Harry will find a way to set their differences aside and be close as they once were.

Modeling agency rejects a 15-month-old boy because he has Down Syndrome

Every human being is special in their own right, and being different is what makes us unique.

Asher, a sweet boy with an extra chromosome, was just 15 months old when his mother Meagan Nash came across an advert by a modeling agency looking for models for the clothing brand Oshkosh B’Gosh. Asher fit the requirements listed just perfectly, and that included his hair and eyes color.

Meagan was super excited and was looking forward to receiving a positive response. However, a lot of time passed by and she didn’t get a call from the agency so she decided to call them herself.

When she asked what they think of her son’s photos, a representative from the modeling agency said they weren’t interested in working with Asher because they weren’t looking for a boy “with special needs.”

Hearing these words made Meagan angry. Speaking to The Independent, she recalled saying: “Did they say they were not casting a baby with special needs?”

She, however, knew just how great her son would do as a model and decided to do a photoshoot of Asher and share his photos in the Facebook group Kids with Down Syndrome. It was photographer Crystal Barbee’s who took all the awesome photos of the little guy.

Of course, Meagan is aware that not every child who applies to be a model will end up being one, but Asher being rejected only because he has Down Syndrome just didn’t seem right.

“Let’s make a difference- share so they see Asher! This handsome boy is ready to show the world what Changing the Face of Beauty is really about,” the proud mom wrote under the photographs which are now seen by thousands of people. “We are working with Changing the Face of Beauty organization and trying to get Oshkosh to use him in their advertisements.”

Meagan also wrote in her post that it wasn’t the clothing company that rejected Asher, but the modeling agency representing them.

Bill Gates, one of the world’s richest men, still washes dishes with wife Melinda every night after 26 years of marriage

Bill and Melinda Gates went on their first date some 33 years ago and they are still in love as when they first met at an Expo trade-fair dinner in New York.

In fact, both thought things between them won’t get serious as “she had boyfriends and he had Microsoft” but he asked her out in two weeks time after they came across one another at the Microsoft park. Melinda said, “That’s not spontaneous enough for me. Ask me out closer to the date,” so Bill called her later that day and asked her on a date that same evening. “Is this spontaneous enough for you?” he asked, according to the New York Times.

The couple got married in 1994 and has three children together.

They spoke of their relationship many times throughout the years and revealed that the secret to a long and happy marriage is doing things together and sharing the chores. Even after 26 years of marriage, the richest man on Earth is still doing the dishes with his wife every night.

Melinda recalls how this habit started and shared with USA Today, “One night I realized I was still in the kitchen a good 10, 15 minutes after everybody else doing the last-minute things. Sometimes in the moment my frustration or anger just comes out. So one night we stood up after dinner and people in the family started to melt away, like, off they go upstairs. So hand on my hips, I’m, like, ‘Nobody leaves the kitchen until I leave the kitchen!’”

Melinda believes in equality in life and in marriage. “I think people must think, ‘Oh well, Melinda must not really have equality with Bill.’ Actually, I have total equality with Bill. But it took a while for us to get there,” Melinda told USA Today. She adds that simple things like washing the dishes together is what marriage is truly based on and keeps two people together.

The pair is running the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which sees “equal value in all lives” and “works to reduce inequity.”

When it comes to raising kids and doing the housework, she believes women’s work is rarely appreciated and recognized.

“One thing in society we have put on women is we don’t talk about how difficult it is to raise children, how much time it takes. We don’t even talk about things like breastfeeding. We just assume women are going to go do it. It takes time and it takes energy, right? …When you add it up over their lifetime, it’s seven years of work. I don’t know about you, but I think you and I could probably go and get a couple of graduate degrees and a Ph.D. in seven years.

“Some of that’s work you want to do. It’s tender; it’s lovely. But some of it is also the mundane of doing laundry and the dishes and packing lunch boxes,” she writes in her book The Moment Of Lift.

Bill never misses an opportunity to express his love and admiration for his wife. “Happy Mother’s Day, Melinda Gates! Being a parent with you is the greatest joy of my life,” the founder of Microsoft wrote on Facebook on Mother’s Day 2017.

We have to agree that these two make an awesome couple.

Cop spots an elderly lady dancing at a parking lot, pulls over and joins in the dance

Some people are so cheerful and optimistic that they bring a ray of sunshine even during the darkest of days. Honestly, I believe one has to be born that way, because some things can’t be learned, you either have them inside or you don’t.

One such special person who brings smiles on the faces of many people every single day is 92-year-old Millie Seiver. Pretty much everyone in the neighborhood knows this sweet elderly lady and her interesting routine.

Despite her age, Millie is very active and goes for a walk almost every day. When she gets tired of walking, she simply starts dancing instead.

Screenshot

One of her dances was caught on the dashcam of  Sgt. Kim Lenz who was patrolling around the neighborhood.

The moment she spotted the lady, Sgt. Lenz got out of her vehicle and joined in Milie in her dance.

Needless to say, the cute video went viral in a blink of an eye. You can check it out below. We hope you will love it as much as we did.
