They say that determination and hard work always pay off, and the story of Walter Carr, a young man who wouldn’t let anything stay on his way to a successful first day on his new job, is just another proof of that.
Namely, Walter got hired by Bellhops, a moving company. He was looking forward to this new chapter of his life, but the night before he was supposed to start working, his car broke down. Not wanting to miss his first day on the job, he decided to take a walk from his hometown of Homewood to Pelham, two cities 20 miles away from one another.

He started his journey at midnight hoping to get there on time.
A few hours into his walk, Walter met an officer who asked him where he was going. The young man explained what was going on, and the officer was left in disbelief from what he heard. Of course, he then offered Walter a ride to the house he was supposed to be working at that day.

At around 6:30 am, both Walter and the officer knocked on the door of the Lamey family. Jenny Hayden Lamey answered the door. The officer told her he took “this nice kid” to her so he could help her move her staff. Jenny was expecting the moving company hours later, so she was surprised Walter was there so early. At the same time, she was amazed by his determination.
“Around 6:30am the doorbell rang. It was a police officer. He proceeded to tell us that he had picked up ‘this nice kid’ in Pelham early this morning. The nice kid. Walter, said that he was supposed to help us with our move today,” Jenny wrote on Facebook.

When the rest of the moving crew showed up, one of them shook Walter’s hand and thanked him for showing up. This made Jenny believe that not many of the new recruits show up. It was then that Jenny turned to the man in charge of the crew and said, “you wouldn’t believe what he did to get here. Tell him Walter,” to what humble Walter replied in a shy manner, “I walked.”
The entire crew was in complete awe. They later shared the story with the company’s CEO, Luke Marklin, who without hesitation offered Walter his car, 2014 Ford Escape.
“I’d like to give you this car right here. Today. Like right now. Like you can drive away with it,” Marklin told him.
Walter couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He was extremely grateful for the gift, because that meant he wouldn’t need to walk long distances any longer.
As for Marklin, he was glad he could help someone who had such a strong sense for work ethic as young Walter.

The extremity to which Dennis Avner went in order to change his appearance turned him into a sort of a celebrity. His life, however, wasn’t an easy one because he lived it by constantly breaking the boundaries, something not everyone he met was fond of.
Avner was born on August 27, 1958 in Flint, Michigan. During those times, the “Vehicle City” was vibrant and prosperous. His family, however, moved places and settled in Northern Michigan in the quiet Suttons Bay Township where he attended Oscoda High School.
Growing up, Avner became fascinated with the spiritual side of the Native American tribe and that was something that would affect his life forever.

He started working as a computer technician and his life seemed normal. That was until he got into tattoos and plastic surgeries. Having been enchanted with cats ever since he was just a child, Avner decided to modify his face and look like a tiger himself.
”I’ve been a cat my entire life. I always related to cats. I always had a close relationship with cats,” Avner explained in an interview with Only Human.
It was in 1985 when body-modification artist Larry Hanks started his extensive tattoo work on Avner, who was soon widely known as “Stalking Cat,”his American Indian name.
Over the course of 25 years, Avner resembled a real tiger. He never revealed the number of surgeries he had undergone, claiming it was too many to count. Among the rest, he tattooed his entire face and body, removed his teeth and replaced them with tiger-like dentures, had his lip split, and placed six stainless-steel mounts on his forehead, along with 18 piercings above his lips so that he could attach whiskers when he wanted to.
Despite all this, “Stalking Cat” had nose and brow implants, injections in his chin and lip, and silicone injected in his cheeks.

Besides many were worried for his health, Avner said all those procedures were to make him feel who he really was, a cat. He was telling the world that he was following an old Wyandot (Huron) tradition by transforming himself into an animal, but he wasn’t probably aware that what he did was truly extreme.
Later in life, Avner met a couple, Tess Calhoun and Rick Weiss, who introduced him to the “furry community,” a subculture that revolves around anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities. They even invited him to move in with them to Whidbey Island, a place known as the home of free-spirited artists and performers.

At first, he wasn’t really welcome there because of his extreme appearance, with one person writing to him: “We have a lots of hunters here. You can move here if you agree to stay in the woods and not wear orange.”
As the couple hosted meetings for the members of the “furry community,” more and more people learned of “Stalking Cat.” Soon after, everyone recognized him and wanted to have him interviewed. He even attended many events, including red carpet appearances.
Sadly, at one point in his life, he was left penniless as he spent lots of money on his modification procedures. It was then that Tess and Rick asked him to leave their place. He took to social media to ask for help and a friend he met online offered him his home.
In November 2012, Stalking Cat was found dead.
Rumors were his lifeless body was found in the garage, and the news was later confirmed.
Shannon Larratt, who knew Stalking Cat, revealed what had happened on her blog, BMEzine.
“Dennis’s boundary-breaking life was never an easy one, and as he was fond of saying, he “found fame, but never fortune”. A wonderful and complex person, he was at times as troubled as he was remarkable, and he recently took his own life at the age of 54,” she wrote.
A huge number of people took their time to offer their condolences.
No matter what we think about body modification, we have to agree that Dennis Avner was a very special man who served as inspiration to many.

What does it take for a person to feel content and happy? Is is the material things they possess, or the constant urge to be better than yesterday?
Now, we don’t longer need to try and find what happiness is all about because science will do it for us.
According to a research which has been going on for quite some time, a person named Matthieu Ricard is the happiest person on Earth. So how is this possible to measure? Well, Neuroscientist Richard Davidson has conducted a research on Ricard, and a number of other partcipants, by having 256 sensors reading off his brain at the University of Wisconsin. The research was in fact done on experienced religion practitioners to find out who attains the most happiness from their religion, and Ricard, who is a western scholar of Buddhism by vocation, was chosen to take part in it.
Further, the research focused on the effect of meditation on the level of happiness. While Ricard was on meditation, he experienced an overwhelming sense of compassion which resulted in production of gamma waves, which are further connected to awareness, concentration, knowledge and reminiscence.
At the same time, all these positive feelings suppressed the negativity.
The research is known as “neuroplasticity” and is still in its early stage, but still, it shows the range of benefits it offers when it comes to person’s level of happiness.
Ricard himself is convinced that meditation can change the way the human brain is wired to think because of the society and shows the same impacts as to a person expecting to lose weight by joining a gym.
In the video below, he provides tips for keeping your mind to think positive. For example he believes that one should be in control of their mind, which doesn’t mean decreasing the freedom of their thoughts, but rather not being a slave of those thoughts.

For everyone that experiences it pregnancy feels different, it’s a unique experience for every woman.
Each mother has moments and feelings that she can tell us about and that we can really relate to, things about her pregnancy that are special, funny or memorable that are just unique to her.
It’s entirely possible that a woman can have 6 different children and for each child have a different experience, that really is the wonder of having children!
A mom recently gave birth to her daughter and she really had some really odd unexpected feelings just a few weeks after it. She felt that she knew why she had these feelings but really didn’t think that it was possible though.
Around the early part of 2016, Eliza Curby gave birth to her daughter Charlie. She had got pregnant after a party and been dating Ben for three months in total.
Ben really wanted to be a father which made it easy for the couple, they were both really overjoyed about being parents together, they were so excited!
However, after their little girl had been born, Eliza realized that she felt a little odd, she just didn’t feel herself, at all!
Everyone reassured her, and put her feelings down to being a new mother, every now mom can understand the concept of sleep deprivation, and the devastating effects of it, on the mind and the body.
Eliza’s mom said to her that it could take around six whole weeks to come out of the other end!
Eliza said:
“I was exhausted trying to figure out the ins and outs of being a mum, but about a month after having Charlie though I felt really, super exhausted.”
“Everyone told me it was sleep deprivation catching up with me but I was not convinced – I remember looking at Ben and saying, ‘I think I’m pregnant.’ …He just laughed.”
Eliza really was right though, a quite rare thing had happened, just six weeks after giving birth to her daughter she had fallen pregnant again!
There were even more surprises to come through, this pregnancy was different from the last one!
She said:
“I say little as Ben’s idea of a family included two children — very nuclear indeed — I, on the other hand, have always been set on having as many children as I can — nothing excites me more than the thought of walking through our local streets of Mona Vale with my own little clan.”
Eliza got the double, or should I say the triple shock of her life to find out she was expecting twins!!
Over the next couple of weeks she took four pregnancy tests, they were all positive no matter how much she pinched herself, she didn’t wake up, so it wasn’t a dream either!
The ultrasound tech really didn’t know how to break the news to her that she was having twins…
Eliza said that:
“The technician seemed awkward and uncomfortable before he finally said … ‘look it’s early days … but … I think there’s two’”
She felt a little terrified about the news, her mind raced about the possibilities ahead of her, it was going to be very hard!
“But three baby capsules won’t fit across most of the biggest five-seater cars, so off we went car shopping, and I now drive a van — a big mamma VW van.”
This story really was incredible, we wish you the best Eliza and hope that everything goes perfect, or at least everything works out well for you.

Babies bring immense joy in the lives of their parents and their families. From the moment they are welcomed into the world, they become the apple of their mommy and daddy’s eye, who do all in their power to spend as much time as possible with their tiny bundle of joy.
Because children grow up so fast, it is very important to cherish every moment we spend with them and keep all the fun memories close to our hearts.
The following video is one of the cutest we have stumbled upon. It shows a newborn baby having his first bath with his daddy and it’s beyond adorable. The liitle one seems very curious and interested in what daddy says to him, although he’s way too young to understand what is going on.
This bonding time is too sweet not to be caught on camera, so mommy rushes to grab it and put it on tape.
Once the sweet baby is all grown up, he will certainly love seeing this moment.

The road to stardom is never an easy one, although, for some people, things go more smoothly than for the rest. Besides dedication and hard work, luck also plays huge part when it comes to great achievements.
For actor Lucas Black, it all started when his mother took him to audition for the film The War, starring Kevin Costner, after she heard an open call about it on the radio.
There, among 5,000 children who wanted a part in the movie, Black was one of the lucky few to be chosen. He believes that he landed the role because he did something differently than the rest of the children. When asked to say something about themselves, like where they came from, everyone provided there address, among the rest, while Black, who was 11 at the time, gave detailed description.
“I said, ‘Well, you go down 157…you go by Mickey Wiggins store, and you turn left,’ and they were like ‘we need you to read some lines, kid,’” Black explained. “Just because I said something different from every other kid. So that was my first audition, and I ended up getting the part.”

He joked that his mom only decided to bring him to the audition because she hoped Costner would be there.
The part in The War was the start of Black’s very successful Hollywood career.
After starring in it, he went back home to Alabama where he attended Speake High School. He was into sports and played football, basketball, baseball, and golf for the school’s Bobcats.
Later in his acting career, he would come back to the baseball as he starred as Pee Wee Reese in the film 42, about baseball legend Jackie Robinson.
“Pee Wee Reese had such a significant part in helping change baseball by accepting Jackie as a ballplayer and as a friend and making a public gesture toward Jackie,” Black told AL.

It was in 1999 that he landed his first lead role, in the film Crazy in Alabama, where he starred opposite Melanie Griffith. At the time, he also worked as a model for Calvin Klein.
What followed were plenty of significant roles, including ones in Friday Night Lights, Seven Days in Utopia, Sling Blade, and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, among the rest.
However, he’s probably most famous for playing agent Christopher LaSalle on NCIS.

Black began working on NCIS before his character turned into a regular cast member of the spinoff NCIS: New Orleans.
As the show developed, he became a fan-favorite and that is why many were left in shock when his character was killed after almost six seasons.
Portraying a much-loved character, Black felt the urge to share with his fans the reasons behind his decision to part with the show. Apparently, there weren’t any bad feelings between him and any of the cast members, on the contrary, he enjoyed working with each and every one of them, but he felt like he was spending too little time with his wife and three children.

He thanked everyone for their love and support and wrote on Twitter: “I wanted to take this time personally to thank all of you fans out there for your love and support. You were there to celebrate the victories and to pick me up when I needed it, and I appreciate that.”
Some time later, while on the Legacy Starts Today podcast, the NCIS star said:
“All throughout my career, there was a concern because I would observe how the entertainment industry would destroy families and destroy families,” he said.
“The way it’s run, you’re traveling, it’s a very fast pace, lots of long hours, especially in television.”
Ryan Theriot/Getty Images
According to Black himself, he worked for around 70 hours a week on the NCIS spinoff during the first three seasons and felt like he was neglecting his family despite moving closer to the filming location.
“It was time, it was time for me to leave. I felt like my job there was finished,” he said.
“You can’t keep going at that pace, and I think, have a healthy marriage. It’s not sustainable; it’s inevitable that something bad’s going to happen if you stay working at that pace.”
When it comes to his private life, he never reveals much detail and tends to keep it out of the public eye.
His wife Maggie works as a lawyer and says that being married to a celeb isn’t that special because her husband never acted like hotspot.
“Lucas is not what people would consider a stereotypical celebrity. He’s confident, but he’s not someone you think of as a diva that you have to pet and boost their ego all the time,” Maggie O’Brien told The Marriage Adventure. “He’s very confident in who he is, so he doesn’t need me to bring that to him. It’s been really good for me in a couple of ways. Because people think it’s cool to be a celebrity, they go out of their way to be nice to me. That might be phony. But it takes a lot of pressure off that a lot of women feel in trying to impress other people with what they have or what their husbands do, or what they make.
“I feel like there’s a lot of that in and amongst women. The competitiveness to impress others, and I don’t feel like I have to do that,” she added.
“It kind of gives me more freedom from trying to impress others and lets me be more honest. It gives me more courage and confidence because I don’t feel like I have to compete.”
However, leaving NCIS: New Orleans doesn’t mean he left his Hollywood career for good. On the contrary, he’s very busy working on different projects.
Black has an estimated net worth of $8 million.
Except for being one of our favorite NCIS actors, we also love him for being an awesome husband and father to his wife and children.

The moment we learn how to love ourselves with all our flaws is the moment we really start to live our lives to the fullest.
Being born with a condition that distinguishes us from the rest of the world can be extremely challenging, and many people go through such struggles. The thing is that different doesn’t mean less worthy or less beautiful, and the moment we experience that enlightenment and realize we are perfect the way we are everything changes for the better.
When Ilka Brühl was welcomed into the world, her parents knew she could experiences a hard time in life because of her cleft nose and lips, a rare genetic disorder that affects one’s facial structure. They were, however, determined to teach her how to love herself, something she needed time to learn.

Today, this young woman is 30 years of age and is taking many people’s breath away.
Over the years, Ilka has undergone a number of procedures to help her with her condition, and although she looks stunning today, she did experience a really hard time when she was young. She couldn’t make friends easily because she was teased and bullied all the time. The rest of the students called her names such as “Freak,” “Alien,” or “Pig Nose” and never wanted to play with her.
Although she was still just a child, she was aware she was different.
“At first I thought: How else am I supposed to look like? That’s how I am! But then I consciously looked in the mirror and realized that my nose is different. Then you start questioning yourself,” she told German newspaper Kurier.

“As a child, I often had eye infections because my tear duct was not developed, and headaches because my paranasal sinuses were very susceptible to moisture,” Ilka said.
“But I was always able to live with the symptoms.”
She added: “My parents always gave me the feeling that I was right the way I was. As a child, I could confidently counter stupid sayings or looks. Nevertheless, the question came up during puberty: ‘If I’m supposed to be so normal – why don’t you see people like me anywhere?’”
When she reached her teenage years, Ilka developed even more self-doubt. It wasn’t just the people at school who made her feel that way, but the commercials and magazines that always portray perfectly looking women as a standard of beauty.
She tried changing things about the way she felt about herself by being the best student at school, all straight A’s.
Instagram/ilkabruehl
At the age of 20, Ilka underwent one of her many procedures. It was a nose correction surgery, but this time, something was different. Once everything was done, something clicked in her.
“As soon as the wounds had healed, I noticed the next blemish. At that moment I realized: Beauty cannot be created on the operating table,” Ilka told BILD.
“For me, [beauty] is all about appearance. If you accept yourself, then you can shine from within and that’s nicer than the most perfect person who doesn’t like themselves.”
She knew that what she needed weren’t more surgeries, but acceptance by her own self. “I approached people more openly and learned to like myself. And noticed: The others don’t withdraw from me at all, I withdraw from them!”
“On the way to [the photographer], I was on the verge of turning around several times because I was so terrified that she would laugh at me when she saw me in real life,” she wrote, as reported by Insider.
“Being in front of the camera has shown me: Every defect and every mistake is a part of you, and that’s okay too. You just have to make the most of it,” she added.
She released a podcast which focused on how she handles her self-doubt. She also shared tips on how to love yourself. Ilka is a published author as well. Her book Differently Beautiful – How I Learned to Love Myself has helped many achieve what she did.
Instagram/ilkabruehl
Some four years ago, she and a couple of friends started Project Grenzenlos, which can be translated to Project Limitless. The campaign’s purpose is to highlight the beauty of those who live with deformities and other differences. For this beautiful brave woman, it aligns with her perception of beauty.
On Instagram, she wrote: “I think EVERYBODY is beautiful in his own way,. I often read comments like ‘You are not pretty just because you’re different,’ [and] that’s totally right! I am pretty because EVERYBODY is pretty. Never mind if you are a classic beauty, tall, small, stout, thin, black, white.”
She’s never afraid to speak openly about her journey towards self-acceptance because she is aware she changes other people’s lives that way.
“I decided to show a baby photo of me. Because you see my ‘defect’ there better. Furthermore, I get many direct messages with the question of why I look like I do,” she wrote.
“At first, I hesitated because some of you think that’s too much. But that is wrong, it should be as normal as every other baby picture.”
“Everyone who knows me can confirm that it is really important for me and that I want to help others. Want to help the ones with some defects, as well as the parents of babies who are afraid if their child will be accepted in the world.”
Last year, she tied the knot with husband Philip and described it as a magical moment and the happiest day of her life.
“The wedding itself was indescribably beautiful for me. When I woke up the next day, I couldn’t believe how great everything went,” Ilka wrote.
“Sunny weather, everyone was in a good mood and my husband (still want to say friend) looked so amazing. I was so emotional and shed so many tears. Loving someone so much is a great privilege and I am infinitely grateful for it. I’m so looking forward to everything that’s to come. I just can’t believe how lucky I am to be able to call such a great person my husband now.”
Ilka is the perfect example that one doesn’t need to be perfect in terms of appearance in order to be a perfect human being.
She is touching many lives. Her successful modeling career is a reminder that one should never stop chasing their dreams.

We have shared plenty of stories of incredible pregnancies with our readers, and the reason for it is that each and every one of them is fascinating in its own way. Well, the process of giving birth is a miracle all by itself, and when surprise multiple pregnancies happen, the fascination only grows bigger and bigger.
Michella Meier-Morsi and her husband Mark welcomed twin girls in 2018 after a year of IVF treatments. The girls were born via cesarean section at 37 weeks and only spent six days at intensive care before they were ready to go home.
Carrying twins is more complex than a single pregnancy and Michella constantly worried if everything would be fine with her girls while pregnant. ”When we got the news that we were expecting twins, I was extremely happy, and at the same time, paralyzed by fear. I was simply so scared of losing them. I read statistics, horrible posts on twin groups about respirators and losses, and I refused to buy anything for the girls,” she wrote on Instagram in 2020.
Her pregnancy wasn’t an easy one. She had a huge belly which often turned black and with bruises because her babies were big.
”My pregnancy was awful and my body is carrying around permanent evidence of it. Filippa and Ophelia, on the other hand, have been absolutely fantastic, and we have made the finest family rhythm with them,” the mom wrote.
After giving birth, she was forced to undergo a surgery because her abdomen muscles got split, a condition known as diastasis recti.
Although most new moms experience changes in their body after giving birth, not many have the courage to speak openly about it. Michella, however, wanted to share her story because she wanted other moms to know they are not alone.
In 2021, Michella fell pregnant again. Somehow, she knew she would have more than one baby again, but nothing could prepare her for what she heard at the doctor’s. She was carrying not one, not two, but three babies.
”When the midwife moves the scanner, we see a third black box. It’s like everything stops. We hear a third heartbeat. It’s getting completely quiet in that room, and I’m starting to cry. I can’t stop shaking and crying” she told the Danish magazine Expressen.
Mere days before giving birth to her triplets, Michella got honest about the way she felt and wrote on Instagram: ”I seriously do not feel ready for three babies.
”I naively thought that I would get ready at some point – that I would feel a joy that the pregnancy is coming to an end and that we should finally meet our trio. But if it were not for the extreme pain, the triplets would have to stay in the stomach for a month or three more. It all just feels so overwhelming.”
When Charles, Theodore, and Gabriel were welcomed into the world in January 2022, the mom couldn’t be happier. She does only get four hours to sleep each day, and she is aware that things would get even harder with five children under one roof.
”It is indescribably hard to have two three-year-olds and three premature babies. Much harder than I had imagined. [My daughters] are angry, defiant, enormously bored, and simply unruly and rude. They miss us and definitely feel let down to some degree. And it’s completely understandable,” she writes on her Instagram.
She says that in her homeland, Denmark, where she and her family live, not much attention is given to women’s health after having kids, and that needs to change. She, however, is working with a psychotherapist and is hoping things to be better in the future.
Her frankness attracts a lot of people’s attention and she currently has around 300k followers on Instagram where she is brutally honest about all the challenges parenthood brings.

It was around two months after a woman named Amy Bright gave birth to her sixth and youngest son that she started experiencing excruciating pain. As this took place back in 2003, Bright, whose baby was delivered at the Naval Hospital Jacksonville via c-section, spent years struggling to walk properly. Over the years, her condition only worsened and she was prescribed a bunch of medications to help her with her pain.
Finally, just last year, doctors managed to discovered what was causing the acute pain and the discomfort thanks to a CT scan which showed a 3 cm-long piece of needle buried in her spine.
It turned out that when she was receiving an epidural during delivery, the needle snapped off and got stuck in her spine, damaging her nerves and leaving her foot and leg partially functional.
“That needle moves inside my spine every time I move, walk, bend, twist, or sleep,” Bright claimed.
“It feels like a poker next to my tailbone, like burning.” She further explained that it occasionally travels down the left side of her calf and into her foot, as reported by WRAL.
“Next to my tailbone, it feels like heat and like a poker. There are times when it shoots down the left side of my calf and into my foot “Bright stated.
Now, with the help of her lawyer Sean Cronin, this mom of six is filing a lawsuit against the federal government, claiming that the needle caused irreversible nerve damage.
“Her medical records show that a failed spinal needle attempt occurred in September 2003 at Naval Hospital Jacksonville. Therefore, no one else inserted a needle in her back,” Cronin claimed.
The problem is that even if the needle is removed, it won’t change things much as the damage is already done.
“It’s now to the stage where it simply burns nonstop. My future makes me terribly anxious,” Bright said. “[My leg] is growing weaker.”
“I’ll probably be using a wheelchair. I’m afraid because I’m not sure.”
“I have no idea what the future holds, I’m terrified and highly suspicious,” the worried mother said.
We hope doctors would be able to ease her life as much as possible.

Fans of The View are calling for a casting rearrangement on the popular talk show after host Whoopi Goldberg went ‘nuts’ while live on air.
This time, what fans called ‘a bad language’ put her in trouble, leaving many furious.
Namely, Goldberg took to the panel and discussed parenting when she used the word a**. Needless to say, viewers were left shocked.

And while some consider the actress and host a national treasure, others aren’t really fond of her because of her ‘foul language.’
“Sometimes you have to be an a** to be a parent,” she said, and comments started pouring in.
“Whoopi and Sunny’s [Hostin] foul language was a bit much today,” one irritaed viewer wrote. “Someone needs to start pushing back on Whoopi. I have a feeling someone will not let her interject one day which will cause Whoopi to go full-on nuts honestly. She has gotten exponentially worse this season so I hope next time contract negotiations are up it’s time to go, or work less days,” another commented.

“I have no idea what ABC thinks is happening here. They take several women, with no real credibility and let them mouth off day after day and they’re surprised that one day someone says something stupid?” someone else commented.
Goldberg’s language didn’t go down well with fans in the past, too. Many slammed her for cursing while talking about tighter gun control.

Actress Stefanie Powers, 78, was born as Stefania Zofia Federkiewicz on November 2, 1942, in Los Angeles, California. After her parents divorced, she continued living with her mother who was a big fan of ballet and classical music. In fact, it was this love that was later passed on to Stefanie who attended ballet at the Michele Panieff Ballet Company along Natalie Wood and Jill St. John.

Shortly after, Stefanie’s interest switched from dancing to movies and acting. When she was 15, she auditioned for the role of Velma in West Wide Story, but didn’t get it due to her young age. However, this audition helped her attract the attention of a director at the American School of Dance who encouraged her to audition for a role in his movie.
This led to her to attend classes at 20th Century Fox, MGM Studios and Columbia and sign a contract with Colombia Records.
“That was the beginning of my contract with Columbia Pictures. I was tied for seven years; in those days if you signed a motion picture contract you were not allowed to do television,” Powers said. After doing several movies with them, MGM Television bought her contract from Columbia to present her as The Girl from U.N.C.L.E. (1966) a spin-off of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Youtube/Studio10
This series was a short-lived one but very popular at the same time and it opened the doors for Powers to some even greater movies. In 1979, she got the role that marked her whole career, that of freelance writer Jennifer Hart. Starring alongside Robert Wagner, the series was a huge success.
“You don’t want to hope too much for something to click,” Powers told TV Insider in 2019, speaking of the beginnings of the series when no one knew whether audiences would love it or not that much. “Yes, we were picked up. But the feeling of how much do people love those characters? We didn’t feel that until we went out into the world.”
“‘Do you remember, Stef? We did about six shows, and I walked into your dressing room and you had tears in your eyes’ and said, ‘Do you think it’s going to be good? What are we doing?’ We loved doing it but were very anxious,” Robert Wagner added.
The onscreen chemistry between Roberts and Wagner was undeniable and people found it hard to believe that the two weren’t an actual couple in their real life. In fact, Wagner was married to Natalie Wood at the time and he and Powers were just very good friends. The two are very close even today. “We adore each other,” she said of her relationship with her lifelong friend. “Robert and I live in separate parts of the world, but he’ll visit for dinner at times.”
During the filming of The Girl from U.N.C.L.E., she met actor Gary Lockwood at a party and the two tied the knot. However, just six year later, they divorced. Shortly after, she started dating Academy Award-winning actor William Holden after meeting him at a party at the La Costa Spa.
“I don’t know why Bill decided to attend, as he was normally a loner, but happily he did. We met again, and by now, while he might very well not have remembered our previous meetings, he had seen some of my work, so he did not regard me as a stranger. As the cocktail hour was coming to an end but our conversation was not, he asked me to join him for dinner, and I accepted,” she wrote in her biography One from the Hart.
“Having filed for divorce, I was a free agent, so there was no reason not to be seen out with someone, even this someone. Ever discreet, Bill chose a quiet local restaurant. Our attraction was undeniable, but Bill was from the old school and maintained a certain formality.”

Sadly, Holden died of intoxication in 1981 at the age of 63 in his home in Santa Monica, California. In 1993, Powers married her second husband, Patrick Houitte de la Chesnais, and divorced him in 1999.
In 2008, the actress was diagnosed with lung cancer. Her battle was long and tough but she ended up a winner and she’s now inspiring others.

Throughout her rich career which has spanned six decades, Powers received numerous awards. She was nominated for five Golden Globe Awards and got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1992. Today, at the age of 78, she is still active and plays at theaters.
Powers is a huge animal lover. Her step-father raised race horses and she has been around animals her whole life. “Growing up, my best friend was a large goat — one I used to pal around with until he ate my grandmother’s rose garden”, she said. “Both of us were banished. Everything that fell out of a tree or got hit by a car ended up getting brought to our house. We had a potpourri of animals, pets and critters.”

Today, she’s running the The William Holden Wildlife Foundation, an animal rights and wildlife conservation group and an education center in Kenya. It helps young children learn more about the animals and the nature.
Currently, the actress lives in the U.S, The UK, and Kenya. “I don’t live anywhere; I travel between houses and residences. At this stage in my life and career I look for roles that are going to be challenging,” she says. “I didn’t become an actor to be myself, I became an actor to be somebody else and so, to the extent that I can, that’s what I look for.”
Powers still has a lot to offer to her fans and audiences from all over the world. She defies age and looks absolutely stunning.
Tom Mann, a former contestant of the famous talent show X Factor, shared a heartbreaking post on Instagram about the passing of his fiancée and mother of their eight-month-old son.
The tragedy took place in the ealy hours of Sunday morning, the same they they were to tie the knot.
Danille Hampson was just 34 years old. The couple dated since 2015 and welcomed son Bowie later last year.
Tom Mann wrote in a long note that he’s “completely broken trying to process” his fiancée Danielle Hampson’s sudden deathhttps://t.co/VRsfSOf6RX
“I can’t believe I am writing these words but my darling Dani – my best friend, my everything and more, the love of my life – passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning, 18th June.
“On what was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives ended in irreversible heartbreak.
“I feel like I have cried an ocean. We never made it to the alter; or got to say our vows, or dance our first dance, but I know you know that you were my entire world and the best thing that has ever happened to me, Danielle.“
“I am completely broken trying to process this and I honestly don’t know where to go from here, but I do know I need to use any strength I can muster for our little boy.
“I will not be a mark on the parent that you had already become but I promise I will do my everything to raise Bowie just the way we always wanted. I promise you he will know how amazing his mummy was. I promise to make you so so proud.
“The most beautiful person inside and out. The most incredible soul. We have lost such a special person and I am sure we are about to see an abundant outpouring of love that reflects that.
“I will try to find peace in your messages and comments, but right now I am grieving and I will be for a very, very long time.“
Danielle’s last post on social media was around three weeks ago when the couple and their baby, together with some friends, were on holiday in Sardinia, Italy.
The cause of dead remains unknown. Danielle wasn’t experiencing any health issues. On the contrary, she was a perfectly healthy young woman.
Our thoughts and prayes go to Mann and their Bowie.
Rest in peace, Danielle.

Whether you like her or not, one thing about Oprah Winfrey we all have to agree about is that she is one hell of a show host.
However, her life hasn’t always been an easy one. She was forced to go thorough some harsh times when she was very young, but those experiences only made her stronger and more determined to succeed.
Oprah is in a relationship with her partner of many years, Stedman Graham. In fact, the two have been engaged for 29 years, but never said I do. Some magazines were speculating that the couple is planning to tie the knot at an intimate ceremony in their lavish Montesito home but they haven’t commented on the rumors.
The truth is that they have both said many times in the past that getting married could only complicate things and that if they had married, their relationship wouldn’t have lasted.

Oprah and Graham don’t have any children, and they are perfectly fine with their decision because that’s something they both wanted.
“He’s never demanding anything from me like, ‘Where’s my breakfast? Where’s my dinner?’ Never any of that, which I believed would have changed had we married,” Oprah Winfrey said of her fiancé, according to Yahoo.
“No question about it — we would not stay married, because of what that would have meant to him, and I would have had my own ideas about it. I have not had one regret about that.
“At one point in Chicago, I had bought an additional apartment because I was thinking, ‘Well, if we get married, I’m going to need room for children,’” she added.

Oprah said she believed motherhood requires responsibility and “sacrifice.”
“I realized, ‘Whoa, I’m talking to a lot of messed-up people, and they are messed up because they had mothers and fathers who were not aware of how serious that job is,’” she told People.
“I don’t have the ability to compartmentalize the way I see other women do. It is why, throughout my years, I have had the highest regard for women who choose to be at home with their kids, because I don’t know how you do that all day long. Nobody gives women the credit they deserve.”

At one point in her life, Oprah was pregnant and gave birth to a son. She was just 14 at the time. According to the host herself, the boy was born prematurely and died shortly after. She opened up about the experience when speaking at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia, according to news.com.au.
“I did an interview with a reporter before I came to Australia and she said you should name the baby son who died,” Oprah reportedly told the audience of 15,000, as reported by People. “So I have named him; I had a little boy named Canaan,” she reportedly said, not specifying the spelling. “I did have a son. And I named him Canaan because Canaan means new land, new life.”

The pregnancy was a result of sexual abuse that Oprah opened aboutin the past. “I was raped at 9 years old by a cousin, then again by another family member, and another family member,” Winfrey reportedly said, adding that she tried to hide her pregnancy at 14 because she felt so much “pain and shame.”
That experience, however, no matter how painful it was, made her the strong woman she is today.

The school isn’t just a place where children gather knowledge on different subjects, but the place where they make new friends, some of which last a lifetime, and have fun.
Sadly, this isn’t the case with each child out there. Very often, it happens that certain students get bullied for one reason or another. Some of them have a hard time learning how to socialize and end up without friends as a result.
Cassandra Ridder is a mother of a 12-year-old boy named Brody. He is a fun and cheerful young man who happens to have different interests than those of his classmates. Unlike other kids his age, he’s into chess and fencing. Sadly, that is the reason why he gets teased a lot.
Image Credit: Cassandra Ridder | TODAY
One day, as she picked him up from school, Cassandra asked Brody about his yearbook as the teacher informed her that the students would be bringing yearbooks home.
However, just as she mentioned the word ‘yearbook,’ Brody’s eyes got filled with tears. Not knowing what was going on, Cassandra got worried. It was then that Brody took his yearbook out of his bag and handed it to her. When she saw it, this mother’s heart shattered into a million pieces. Except for Brody’s teacher’s message and few signatures, there was nothing written on it. Brody asked from each of the classmates to write him a message, but they all said no.
There was another message as well, the one Brody wrote to himself and which said: “Hope you make some more friends – Brody Ridder.”
Cassandra knew she needed to do something about her son, so she snapped a photo of Brody’s yearbook and shared it on the Facebook group where all the parents from the school are.
“My poor son. Doesn’t seem like things are getting any better. 2 teachers and a total of 2 students wrote in his yearbook. Despite Brody asking all kinds of kids to sign it,” she wrote on the Facebook page. “So Brody took it upon himself to write to himself. My heart is shattered. Teach your kids kindness.”
The following day, Brody called him mom from school and told her to Facebook a photo he sent to her. His yearbook was now filled with lots of messages from his classmates, as well as from eight grade students and eleven grade students.
Some of the messages were: “Hey dude, you’re freaking awesome. Stay that way.” “Brody — you are the kindest little kid. You are so loved. Don’t listen to the kids that tell you different.” “Brody — I hope you have an amazing summer! You’re worth it and you matter!” “Hey buddy, never change, never put your head down.”
For Brody, that was the best day ever. He was over the moon because he made many new friends.
What’s most, he’s now looking forward to the next school year.

Fathers are those special individuals whose place can never be replaced. They are always there when we need someone to turn to and that’s what makes them cruical figures in our lives.
Often times, while the moms are super busy doing chores and raising the kids, fathers are the ones who work multiple jobs in order to provide for the family.
One single father of four named Harley Harlington, a former marine and a survivor, has had a hard time providing for his four children. Most of his life, this incredibly loving and dedicated man worked four jobs at a time and never complained, despite having undergone a kidney transplant.
Of course, he never expected anything in return, what he wanted was for his children, as well as grandchildren, to have good lives and be happy.
Source: YouTube/ Screenshot
Knowing just how much he has sacrificed for them during his life, his children decided to surprise him as a way to thank him for his dedication and for never giving up on them.
“He’s been working [all] his life. He’s an ex-marine. He’s had a kidney transplant, and it took him forever to get that and [he’s] still going strong,” his granddaughter Kirsten said.
“He is a man that provides and gives to so many and never says no to anybody for anything. He’ll give the shirt off his back,” his daughter Robbin added.
The family sent a letter to the FOX 5 Surprise Squad telling them everything about Harley, and soon after, the Squad was on this man’s door. When they went to his place, together with Kirsten, the FOX 5 Surprise Squad had a bouquet of flowers. When Harley saw the cameraman, he was confused at first.

“As well as running a business, at one time I had four jobs. You know, just so I could put food on the table, presents under the Christmas tree,” Harley spoke of his troubles.
“Whatever you can, you do, even if all you have to give is an ear to listen. You do [it] without any expectation of any kind or reward. You do [it] from the heart.”
Harley was glad his family was aware of everything he has ever done for them, and that was his biggest reward. Of course, other surprises followed. Jose Gutierrez from a local auto body shop, who called Harley and “exceptional father,” offered to repair Harley’s vehicle’s air conditioner and heater.
The Surprise Squad handed Harley a box containing $1,500 in cash.
He was speechless. “Utterly speechless. I’ve never had anything like this in my life,” he said.
This was the best Father’s Day Harley could ever ask for.
“If you have nothing else in life, you have family. You always have family,” he said.
We would like to honor every father out there and make sure they know how much they mean to their children.

During 1910 and 1960, or the revolutionary years of Hollywood known as the golden age, many iconic artists rose to fame, among which director Alfred Hitchcock’s favorite actor Cary Grant.
This incredibly handsome man was married five times but his fate wasn’t sealed with any of the women he tied the knot with. Was it that he was unlucky in love, or the rumors about him being in intimate relationships with men were true? In fact, we can never know that for sure because Cary Grant’ sexuality is still one of the most discussed topics in Hollywood, even 34 years after his death.

Grantwas bornArchibald Alec Leach in Bristol, England, January 18, 1904, but changed his name to Cary Grant on the request of the Paramount studio which believed the name Leach wasn’t suitable for a lead actor.
However, before he got his contract and got to be part of the film industry, Grant’s life wasn’t an easy one. His mother had a mental illness and one day, she just disappeared from his life when he was 9 years old. His father, who brought another woman in the house and married, told Grant how his mother had died, but she was in fact placed in the Bristol Lunatic Asylum.
Not having his mother by his side, Grant turned into an insecure young man. “It gradually dawned on me that she was not coming back. She left a void in my life, a sadness of spirit that affected everything I did. I always felt my mother rejected me,” he confessed.
Wikipedia Commons
In search for a better life for himself, Grant ran away from home at the age of 13 and became part of the Bob Pender Troupe of comedians and acrobats. The troupe performed in America in 1920, and Grant found in this country his new home.
Once in Hollywood, the young and charming Grant caught the attention of many. He first starred in low-budgets films but it wasn’t long before he performed with famous names like Audrey Hepburn , Doris Day, Frances Farmer and Marlene Dietrich. There was something in Grant that made everyone love him. His energy fascinated many, especially his female colleagues.

“I had this great affection for him because I knew he understood me. It was an unspoken friendship, which was wonderful. He would open up his arms wide when he saw you, and hug you, and smile, and let you know how he felt about you,” Audrey Hepburn whom he played together in Charade said.
“His elegance, his wit, his true professionalism were outstanding, and I learned so much from just watching him work. As a person, apart from his talent, he was warm and affectionate and a joy to have as a friend. He lived simply and was not tremendously social – a very private person. He was also a keen and shrewd businessman; in fact there was no end to his talents. I treasure my memories of him,” actress Deborah Kerr, Grant’s co-star in Dream Wife, An Affair to Remember, and The Grass is Greener said of him.

The charmer was married five times.
In 1934, he married his first wife, actress Virginia Cherrill, whom he stayed with for only a year. In 1943, he tied the knot with Barbara Hutton, one of the richest women in the world at the time, but that marriage didn’t last long either. His marriage with actress Betsy Drake lasted for 12 years, and Grant married his fourth wife, Dyan Cannon, who was 33 years his junior in 1965. He and Dyan had daughter Jennifer together, the only Grant’s child. He became a father for the first time at the age of 62. However, the mother of his child didn’t seem to be the love of his life as he divorced her just two years later. Grant’s fifth and last wife was Barbara Harris, who was 47 years younger than the actor. He remained with her until he died in 1986.
“I was surrounded by all sorts of attractive girls. I was never able to form attachments. If I had paid more attention I might have found contentment in marriage,” Grant said, according to the Daily Mail.
However, the documentary “Women He Undressed” based on the memoirs of Hollywood designer Orry-Kelly, who was Grant’s life-long friend and the person the actor shared a home with when he first arrived in the States, implies that Grant had a relationship with the three-time Academy award winner.
Gillian Armstrong, the director of the documentary said of Kelly, “Orry refused to hide his sexuality with a fake marriage. He had such a great sense of personal integrity, and we wanted to capture that sense of bravery in the film.” Kelly was sometimes bothered with Grant showing interest in attractive blonde women but it was all fine because he would “always get back home to him.”

Grant was connected to another famous name, actor Randolph Scott.
The two were apparently only roommates and friends, and Candid photos showing them together in their shared home were just a result of a studio publicity campaign that intended to portray them as eligible bachelors, and not private photos.
In her memoirs, Grant’s daughter writes, “Can’t blame men for wanting him (…) And wouldn’t be surprised if Dad even mildly flirted back. (…) Dad somewhat enjoyed being called gay. He said it made women want to prove the assertion wrong.”

In 1999 this acting icon who gave the world extraordinary performances in iconic movies like Bringing Up Baby (1938), Only Angels Have Wings (1939), Suspicion (1941), Arsenic and Old Lace (1944), Notorious (1946), To Catch a Thief (1955), North By Northwest (1959) and more, ranked second (next to Humphrey Bogart) on the American Film Institute’s list of the 100 greatest film stars of all time. Two years after his death, Cary Grant received an honorary Oscar.
The family of a boy named Bailey Cooper received the most devastating news a parent can ever hear. Their son had cancer. The sweet boy was diagnosed with Stage 3 Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in 2016.
All of a sudden, his entire life was all about treatments and doctor visits.
Everyone hoped for the best outcome, and for a short period of time, that’s exactly what they got. The cancer went into remission, but that didn’t last long.
Bailey got back to school and everything seemed normal when the family was told that the cancer returned. Sadly, it meant more rounds of chemo and hospital visits. Again, the treatments seemed to work and Bailey started feeling better.
Unfortunately, in August, came the heartbreaking blow: the cancer had returned yet again, and this time the prognosis was grim.
“[The consultant] broke the news to us,” said Bailey’s father, Lee. “It was late Stage Four, and it was even worse. It was very aggressive.”
The cancer had spread quickly. Doctors found lumps in Bailey’s chest, lungs, liver, and stomach. They gave him days, maybe weeks, to live.
When he was told the heartbreaking news, Bailey was devastated, but he was also determined to live to meet his baby sister, who was due a few months later. Everyone prayed he would make it that long.
Amazingly, the little boy proved to be a fighter. In November, he got to hold his newborn sister in his arms. His parents even let him choose her name: Millie.
“He hugged her and did everything an older brother would do — change her, wash her, sing to her,” said Bailey’s mother, Rachel.
After Millie’s birth, Bailey’s health deteriorated.
Holding out hope that they would be able to celebrate Christmas together, Bailey’s parents encouraged him to make a list of the gifts he wanted. Showing the same selflessness he’d had throughout his battle, Bailey asked for presents he knew his younger brother, Riley, would enjoy.
Just before Christmas, the extended family came to the house to say their goodbyes. As Bailey’s grandmother cried and told him she wished she could take his place, the young boy admonished her:
“That is really selfish Nan,” he told her. “You have grandchildren to take care of.”
When the cancer reached Bailey’s brain he enduring five painful days of radiotherapy. That’s when he told his family that it was time for him to go.
“I want to stay but it’s my time to go, to become her guardian angel,” Bailey said, speaking of his baby sister.
On December 22, Bailey became unresponsive as the cancer took over his tiny body. His family stayed by his side as he slowly slipped away.
“We sat there hour by hour, watching him slip away,” Rachel said. “We read him stories and listened to his favorite music.
“By 11:45 a.m. on Christmas Eve, we were by his bedside. We knew it was not going to be long. We told him ‘It’s time to go Bailey. Stop.’”
At that moment, a single tear slipped out of Bailey’s eye. He took his final breath and peacefully passed away.
Losing their child was devastating and it broke the family’s hearts into a million pieces, but they all knew that Bailey was finally at peace.
“We are numb, but in a way also happy he is no longer in pain,” Lee said.
They now try to follow the wishes of their young son, who was wise beyond his years.
“He told us in our last family meeting: ‘You’re only allowed to cry for 20 minutes,” Rachel said. “You have to take care of Riley and Millie.”
This boy’s story is a heartbreaking and tragic one, but his courage, strength, and positivity in the face of pain and hardship continue to inspire people around the world. While his family grieves his loss, they know his light and legacy will continue to live on.
Were you touched by Bailey’s courage, positivity, and wisdom? Then share it!
The Internet is a place full of mysteries and wonders. There’s nothing you can’t find there. It only takes a single click for an entire world of information of different kind to appear on your screen.
Well, the Interent is also the place where people ask for help.
Recently, a woman posted a photo online which spread around like a wildfire. What could be seen on the viral photo was an egg-like thing clinging to the room’s ceiling. Along with the photo, the woman asked: “Does anyone have any idea what that is?”
She explained that it was spooted in the room of her friend’s son but they had no idea how long it was there?
She also asked whether someone could tell her what was the family supposed to do about it.
As expected, different people came up with different explanations. Having in mind that the question was posted in an Australian Facebook group, most of the commenters assumed that the clinging ball was a spider’s nest.
“If we were billions of years ago, I would have claimed it was a dinosaur egg,” one person wrote. “My husband worked with the rodent and believes it’s an egg-filled spider’s nest. You can vacuum it and then spray it heavily with insecticide,” someone else added.
“I advise a protective suit, insect spray, and fire, stab him and see what happens, at least you’ll be ready.”
Eventually, one of the ihabitanst of the place where the huge ball emerged got the courage to stab it as advised. When they discovered what it truly was, many were left speechless.
Believe it or not, it wasn’t a nest, but expanding foam used on the house’s roof that had pushed through the ceiling.

Divorce complicates everything, especially when children get involved. Things become more difficult when one partner finds new love. It gets entirely messy, for example, when the husband’s new wife is significantly younger.
As a young woman named Jennifer prepared for her wedding, she knew things could get complicated because of her divorced parents.
Recently, her dad found a new wife around her age. To make it even worse, her new stepmom wanted to make her mother’s life more difficult.
Turns out, Jennifer’s mom can hold her own. You have to hear her hilarious story of how she got revenge.
With her wedding day nearing, nothing could make Jennifer less excited. Although her parents’ divorce stressed her out often, she cleared her mind of it for the big day.
Her mom had a beautiful dress for her daughter’s wedding. In fact, everything went very smoothly.
One week later, Jennifer shockingly found out her father’s 25-year-old wife bought the exact same dress as her mother.
Clearly opposed to it, Jennifer asked her stepmom to return the dress. The young wife refused to get a new dress.
“No way! I look amazing in this dress, and I’m wearing it,” she replied. “Your mother will have to change hers.”
Expecting her to be heartbroken, Jennifer broke the news to her mom. Instead of being angry, her mom responded in a way that stunned Jennifer.
“Don’t worry, darling. I’ll just find a new dress. It’s your special day and I will not let this get in the way,”her mother responded.
They set out to find another equally as beautiful dress. Just before the store closed, her mom found the perfect new dress.
After buying the dress, the two went out for dinner.
While they were waiting for their meal, Jennifer asked her mom, “When do you think you’ll return the other dress? You don’t really have another reason to wear it anytime soon.” Her mother responded, “Of course I do! I’m going to wear it for the rehearsal dinner the night before your wedding.”
What sweet revenge! I guess the stepmother learned her lesson.

Meghan Markle tied the knot with Prince Harry some six years ago and it’s safe to say that they are still one of the most famous couples in the world. From being a Deal or No Deal girl for many years, to landing the role of Rachel Zane in the smash hit Suits and then becoming part of the British Royal Family, Markle’s life went through drastic changes over the years. Today, she and Harry settled in California and are parents of two, Archie and Lilibet Diana.
But before becoming the Duchess of Sussex, the actress was married to Trevor Engelson, whom she first met in 2004.
So, what do we know about Meghan Markel’s first husband?
Shutterstock/Kathy Hutchins
According to IMDB, he was born on October 23, 1976, in Great Neck, Long Island, New York, and attended the University of Southern California’s School of Communications.
He entered the world of film working as a production assistant and then worked his way to become a film producer. Over the years, he’s worked on a number of projects such as the 2006 film Remember Me, starring Robert Pattinson. He has also been involved in productions such as License to Wed and All About Steve.
After dating for seven years, Meghan and Trevor tied the knot at a ceremony which took place at the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios in Jamaica. The celebration lasted for three days during which around 100 guests attended parties, drinking games at the beach, brunches, and even a wheelbarrow race.

While she was working on Deal or No Deal, Trevor apparently never visited her on set, which wasn’t the case with the rest of the girls, according to the author Andrew Morton’s book Meghan: A Hollywood Princess. Apparently, he was way too busy with his professional life to be able to visit her during the shooting of the quiz and even skipped out on travelling with her during her downtime because of it.
“They were driven individuals, Trevor as busy, if not more so than his girlfriend,” royal biographer Andrew Morton wrote in Meghan: A Hollywood Princess.
“It was also noticeable that unlike the boyfriends and husbands of her Deal or No Deal sisters, Trevor never visited Meghan on set.
“It was so unusual that his absence was commented on by the other girls.”
Michael Kovac/WireImage
“However, there were plenty of other celebrities, mainly sports stars, who dropped by, some clearly trying to get up close and personal with the girls,” he added.
The year Meghan tied the knot with Trevor, 2011, was the same year she became part of Suits. The series was mainly shot in Toronto, Canada, and clearly, she spent a lot of time there.
“Whether she wanted to admit it to herself or not, Meghan who once said she couldn’t imagine life without Trevor by her side, was now building a new world for herself,” Andrew Morton wrote in Meghan: A Hollywood Princess.
“As Toronto was becoming more her home than LA, the dynamics in their relationship subtly altered.”
Michael Kovac/WireImage
Meghan and Trevor decided to put a stop on their marriage just two years later, citing “irreconcilable differences” at the time.
“Trevor was devastated at the split,” an insider told The Sun in 2017.
“She suddenly had no more time for him. Meghan broke Trevor’s heart, pure and simple. He is still in love with her and so the revelation of her new relationship with Harry has hit him hard.”
In the book Meghan and Harry: The Real Story, author Lady Colin Campbell wrote that after moving to Toronto, Meghan began hanging out with celebrities, among them celebrity stylist Jesica Mulroney. These new friendships sort of distanced her from Trevor.
“Trevor had always been laidback where she was controlled and controlling,” Lady Colin Campbell wrote.
“He would arrive for appointments slightly late and disheveled, his shirt out of his trousers and maybe a spot of food on his lapel, while the perfectly contained and self-possessed Meghan was always immaculately turned out.”
Shutterstock/lev radin
Meghan’s childhood friend alleged that at the time she reached a celeb status, Meghan thought her husband was “embarrassing” for her image.
“According to Nikki’s interpretation of Meghan’s motives, having found herself a new and more ‘classy’ circle of friends, she did not wish to be bogged down with her embarrassing misfit of a husband or even her old and less Establishment circle of friends,” Colin Campbell further wrote in her book.
What is interesting is that Meghan never spoke about her divorce publicly. Trevor didn’t give any comments as well. Now, however, autor Tom Bower, who is set to publish a new book about Meghan Markle, promised his fans some fresh interviews with Trevor.
“This particular individual would truly have a remarkable story because, after all, he would have first-hand experience of what it was like, yes what it was like, to be married the first time around to the actress from Suits,” Bower shared with Wales Online.
What do you think of Meghan’s first husband?

It has been said that even the tiniest acts of kindness can go a long way and trigger a series of events that can affect the lives of those who do them as well as those who receive them. That is why we should always be nice to everyone we meet, because we never know the true importance of those seemingly ‘meaningless’ encounters.
A video showing a good deed has been put on tape recently and it spread all over the social media like a wildfire all for the good reasons. Army Lt. Col. Robert Risdon was about to grab something to eat at Taco Bell in Mobile, Alabama, when he noticed to boys, aged 9 and 13, entering the place.
Risdon, who is a father of two and is currently stationed in Fort Benning, Georgia, couldn’t help by notice the boys’ state. They were both very wet and wearing old clothes. He could hear them speaking to the staff, explaining how they were selling home made-cookies and raising money for the local church.
Without giving it a second thought, Risdon approached the boys and asked them whether they had eaten anything that day. Two pairs of sad eyes were looking straight at him and said they were very hungry. Risdon took them to the counter and told them they could have anything they wanted.
Jason Gibson, a customer, noticed Risdon’s act and decided to film it.
“I was in a taco bell tonight when two kids came in trying to sell home made desserts for money.
“I over heard a soldier ask the kids if they were hungry and told them to follow him to the counter, he would buy them dinner. Had to video it and share. Our troops are always taking care of us. Thank u LTC Robert Risdon please please share this….I heard the little one say I want to be just like u when I grow up and saluted him.”

There’s no a worse feeling for a parent than to make the decision to give their child for adoption. The reasons for this could be various. Sometimes, underaged girls who end up pregnant decide to part ways with their bundle of joy either because they can’t take care for them or because of lack of support by their families.
A woman named Linda never got along with her parents. One day, she decided to leave her family’s home and live on the streets. She spent some time as a homeless person before she decided she wanted to get back home. Shirtly after, she realzied she was pregnant. This was great news. Although she was just 15 years old, she wanted that baby so badly that she promised to herself she would do her best to prove the little one with the best life possible.

Unfortunately, her parents were strongly against the thought of Linda keeping the baby so she was forced to give her daughter Laura up for adoption. “The joyfulness of giving birth, and then the moment at which I had to walk out of the hospital without her. So I don’t want to go back and visit that,” Linda said on Oprah Winfrey show as she spoke of her daughter.
Years went by and Linda married and had a son, but the thought of her firstborn child was always present. So, one day, she decided to start looking for her. It wasn’t an easy task, but with the help of genealogist Pam Slaton, they finally believed they could reach Laura.

It was Slaton who contacted Laura. She asked her if she was born on January 15, 1968, to what Laura said yes. Slaton then told her that she was calling on the behalf of her biological mother who wanted to reunite with her.
“I have lived all my life dying for a family, not having one,” Laura said. Her life was a hard one, and she simply couldn’t believe that she would meet her mother after four long decades.
The touching reunion took place on Oprah Show. That day, there wasn’t a dry eye at the studio. “I can’t believe I’m going to meet her. I can’t believe she actually looked for me!” Laura said.

After so many years, Laura finally stopped asking herself the question of why her mom would leave her. She understood that Linda loved her unconditionally, and that the adoption wasn’t her idea.
This story is yet another proof that there’s nothing stronger than mother’s love because it never fades away, no matter how much time passes by.

Many said that late Steve Irwin’s children had big shoes to fill when they decided to follow into his footsteps, but they are showing the world that they are continuing their father’s legacy in the best way possible. The love they feel for the animals is enormous and their efforts to preserve different species is effortless.
Steve Irwin, TheCrocodile Hunter star and one of the most famous conservationists and wildlife experts died aged 44 in what is described a freak accident. He was pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
“…Even if we’d been able to get him into an emergency ward at that moment we probably wouldn’t have been able to save him, because the damage to his heart was massive. As we’re motoring back I’m screaming at one of the other crew in the boat to put their hand over the wound and we’re saying to him things like, ‘Think of your kids, Steve, hang on, hang on.’ He just sort of calmly looked up at me and said, ‘I’m dying.’ And that was the last thing he said,” one of the underwater cameramen tragically recalled.

Today, his wife Terri, his son Robert, and daughter Bindi run the Australia Zoo. During the devastating wildfire which struck their homeland, the Irwin family helped save tens of thousands of animals. They save approximately 800 koalas each year. Animals which are one of the most famous species of Australia and which hold a very special place in the hearts of the Irwins. In fact, one of the most famous photos of Steve is the one holding a koala in his arms.
Robert has made many appearances on American TV to promote Australia zoo and the work that he and his family do for wildlife. He resembles his late father in many ways.

A recent video of Robert with a crocodile caused quite a stir on the social media. As he was feeding one of the crocks, Casper, the animal ignored the food and tried to struck him several times. The keeper started yelling “Bail, bail, bail!!!” and a group of fellow keepers rushed to the enclosure to help him.
Thankfully, neither Robert nor Casper were hurt.
Later, the video of the dramatic encounter was shared by Robert with the caption: “The finale of ‘Crikey! It’s the Irwins’ is on now, 8pm in the USA so go check it out!”
“We’ve definitely saved the best for last, including one of the most intense croc feeds I’ve done! We prioritize natural behavior with our crocs. By getting in their enclosures with them, and letting them put on those huge strikes from the water’s edge, they get to use all of their predatory instincts and they just love it!”

He then concluded: “Plus we can educate everyone about their conservation. But safety for us is also crucial and you definitely have to know when to call it. And with such a powerful and quick croc like Casper, we had no choice but to bail!”
Once the clip went viral, many took their time to comment that Robert has been using animals as entertainment.

On Tuesday’s Today show, Robert addressed these comments and said: “Everything always gets blown up and made a huge thing.”
He then added: “For me it’s an adrenaline rush, it’s an exciting thing to do – but for me personally, I feel closest to my dad when I’m in there working with the animals he loved.
“So many of our crocodiles are the originals, the ones we’ve worked with from day one. It’s an honor for me to continue that legacy.
“Yes they’re dangerous, but they’re amazing creatures, deserving of our respect.”

Life isn’t always fair. Some times, we experience such loses that moving on seems like an impossible mission.
Kathleen Thorson, from Medford, Oregon, and her husband Jesse were high-school sweethearts. They were together for 14 years and married back in 2006. God blessed them with four beautiful children. Everything looked picture perfect and they were the kind of family everyone admired. But then, a tragedy struck. Just days after giving birth to her youngest child, baby boy Teddy, Kathleen suffered from an intracerebral hemorrhage and passed away a couple of days later.
Her family’s world shattered into a million pieces. Her four children were left without a mother, and Jessy lost the love of his life.
“We never spent a minute apart,” Jesse told Good Morning America. “We had 14 years and used every minute of it … there are no regrets of how we spent the time, just about the amount of time we had.”
During those tough times for the family, they found a silver lining. Kathleen was an organ donor. Her generous gift of life benefitted 12 different people.
“As we get to know more about that process … recipients who receive [Kathleen’s] organs, it’s something that will be continually lifting us,” Jesse said.
Kathleen was described as a wonderful person. She was loving and caring, and she continued spreading her generosity even after her life.
“I don’t know if she ever met someone she couldn’t find a way to love and care about,” Jesse told GMA. “Her heart was wide open. Her heart and her kindness and her willingness to love.”

Kathleen’s children will know that their mom died a hero. “I’m glad my kids will know their mom for doing that,” Jesse said. “My 7-year-old told his first grade class that his mom has ‘helped people.’”
I believe that this story should serve as a reminder of the importance of organ donation.
Rest in peace, Kathleen.
