Teacher asks the DMV: ‘How does this plate I just saw not violate your guidelines?’

Getting the right car is the ultimate goal for many people. The truth is that choosing the vehicle that suits your needs best isn’t an easy task. For some people, owning a nice car is a sign of prestige. The same goes for vanity plates, or customized plates that spread certain message. Others, however, are happy with any combination of letters and numbers they randomly get.

However, even if you are ready to pay for such a plate, that doesn’t mean you can have anything written on it.

As per the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), if someone already owns the plate that you like, your request would be denied. The same thing happens if you ask for a customized license plate with something specific that is considered offensive.

Matt Pacenza, a teacher of English who resides in Salt Lake City, Utah, noticed a vanity license plate that he thought was extremely offensive.

Speaking to the The Salt Lake Tribune, he said, “It jumped out at me because of how aggressive and confrontational and political the message was. I’m used to personalized plates being whimsical or playful or personal: GOUTES or DOGMAMA or SKILOVE or something. This felt significantly different.”

After snapping a photo of it, Matt posted it on Facebook and Twitter with the caption, “Hey @utahdld, how does this plate I just saw not violate your guidelines?”

Needless to say, reading the word DEPORTM on that person’s plate left many others confused as well. They agreed that what was written there was inappropriate. Among those who reacted on Matt’s photo was Senator Daniel Thatcher who assured everyone that he had contacted DLD and was waiting for a response.

In a follow-up tweet, he further explained why he thought the license plate shouldn’t have been approved.

Tax commission is aware and investigating.

For clarification; A private citizen has a first amendment right to say offensive things. The State does not, and has rules about license plates. I believe those rules have been violated here.

Hopefully Tax Commission agrees.

His then updated the situation and explained that the DMV was reviewing the issue and that based on the DMV’s guidelines for license plates, the plate should be recalled.

Apparently, the vanity was approved back in 2015 and Tammy Kikuchi, a spokesperson for the Utah Tax Commission which oversees the DMV in Utah, they didn’t now why it was approved and how it got through.

The night before the wedding, Prince Charles gave Diana a secret note which left her upset

The moment Princess Diana and Prince Charles got engaged back in 1981, they instantly became one of the most famous and most powerful couples. Many women wanted to be in Diana’s place, not knowing that the relationship and the marriage were doomed from the start, and the future King was to be blamed for that.

Diana didn’t have it easy. She was constantly followed by the press who were paying huge money for grainy photos of her. Eventually, her sons, especially Harry, blamed the tabloids for his mother’s death. On the night of the accident in which Diana was killed, she was reportedly running away from the paparazzi. Speaking of the negative impact the press had on Diana, Harry confessed recently that he himself considered leaving his family in his 20s.

“Look what it did to my mum, how am I ever going to settle down and have a wife and a family when I know that it’s going to happen again,” Harry said on the podcast Armchair Expert. “I don’t want to be part of this.”

People close to the late Princess, among which Diana’s astrologer, Penny Thornton, claim that the problems between Diana and Charles didn’t start when she learned he was having an affair with Camilla, who later became his wife, but way before that.

According to Thornton, Charles sent a secret note to Diana the night before the wedding, which took place on 29 July, 1981 at St Paul’s Cathedral in London and was watched by 750 million people worldwide. Allegedly, the note read: “I’m so proud of you and when you come up I’ll be there at the altar for you tomorrow. Just look ’em in the eye and knock ’em dead’”, as reported by the Express.

Thompson said that Diana was left devastated. “One of the most shocking things that Diana told me was that the night before the wedding Charles told her that he didn’t love her,” she said on the ITV documentary The Diana Interview: Revenge Of A Princess, as per the Mirror.

“I think Charles didn’t want to go into the wedding on a false premise. He wanted to square it with her and it was devastating for Diana.

“She didn’t want to go through with the wedding at that point, she thought about not attending the wedding.”

Royal author Penny Junior also claimed that Charles was aware he wasn’t in love with his future wife, but it was already too late for him to call off the wedding.

“Charles was not convinced he was doing the right thing in marrying Diana but there was no way out and, bolstered by the hope that things would be different once they were married, he put a brave face on it,” she wrote, as reported by the Mirror.

Shortly after they tied the knot, Diana and Charles welcomed their firstborn son William into the world. Sadly, during those first years of their marriage, Charles started his affair with his now current wife Camilla. Diana was perfectly aware of everything that was going on between her husband and this other woman. Camilla herself spoke of the time Diana confronted her back in 1989.

“I know what’s going on between you and Charles and I just want you to know that,” Camilla recalled Diana saying in a tape released by The Telegraph, as quoted by Town & Country. “[Diana] said to me: ‘You’ve got everything you ever wanted. You’ve got all the men in the world falling in love with you and you’ve got two beautiful children, what more do you want?’”

“So I said, ‘I want my husband.’ And I said, ‘I’m sorry I’m in the way and it must be hell for both of you. But I do know what’s going on. Don’t treat me like an idiot,’” Camilla explained.

Despite the turbulence in her marriage, Diana was depicted by the entire world as the perfect mother to the young Princess. Letters that she wrote about her boys in March of 1985 emerged recently. One of them says: “William adores his little brother and spends the entire time swamping Harry with an endless supply of hugs and kisses, hardly letting the parents near!” as per The Sun.

Unfortunately, the much loved and adored Princess didn’t receive the affection of that one person who should have loved her the most, the father of her children.

Diana tragically passed away in 1997. According to the doctor who tried saving her life, nothing could be done.

Following her passing, Charles allegedly confessed he still loved her as she was the first woman who showed him real life, as per Diana’s friend and healer, Simone Simmons.

“Charles only realised he loved her after she died. I don’t think he realised how much he loved Diana until she was gone,” Simmons said.

“She was the first person who showed him real love.”

Rest in peace, Diana. You will never be forgotten.

Prince George warned his classmates: ‘My dad is King so you better watch out’

Losing a grandparent can be a huge blow for children, especially if the relationship between them was a close one, just like the one between late Queen Elizabeth and her great-grandchildren.

Besides being the ruler of the country for 70 years, the longest in the history of Britain, Her Majesty was also a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother; roles she executed to perfection, just like her reigning which helped the country go through significant changes over the years.

The media reported that it was Kate Middleton who told her children about the Queen’s passing before they could hear it from someone else.

“She gently told George, Charlotte, and Louis about Elizabeth’s passing at Windsor prior to the official announcement. She wanted them to hear the tragic news directly from her to ease the blow,” a royal insider reported, as per Closer Weekly.

“Kate said that Elizabeth is in heaven with Prince Philip. There were lots of tears and hugs, naturally. The children are upset.”

While Prince George and Princess Charlotte attended the funeral, Prince Louis is way too young to understand everything that has been going on.

Mere days before the tragic event of the Queen’s passing, the children started attending Labrook School, a prestigious prep school. William and Kate made sure the siblings keep up with their normality during the sad days for the family, which included attending school normally.

School teacher Elaine Gee from Woking, England, recalled her conversation with Prince William on how he and Kate handled the situation.

“I told him how I work at a school and how it’s been a strange year celebrating the Jubilee and now it’s all changed and we are talking about this,” Gee shared with People.

“He spoke about George, Charlotte and Louis, saying that they were trying to keep some sense of continuity for them at school and keep things as normal as possible.”

The new school has a tradition of royal pupils and aims to create “happy and thoughtful young adults who are global citizens.” There are also animals on its grounds such as chickens, bees, and pigs for the students to look after.

“We are delighted that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will be joining us this coming September and very much look forward to welcoming the family, as we all as all of our new pupils, to our school community,” Jonathan Perry, headmaster at Lambrook, said.

Prince George is old enough to be completely aware that his father would become King one day and it looks like he’s taking advantage of his position in the line of succession.

According to the book The New Royals, author and Vanity fair royal correspondent Katie Nichol writes that Prince George has already warned some of his schoolmates to ‘watch out,’ as his father would become King one day.

“They are raising their children, particularly Prince George, with an awareness of who he is and the role he will inherit, but they are keen not to weigh them down with a sense of duty,” Nichol wrote, per Express.

“George understands he will one day be king and as a little boy sparred with friends at school, outdoing his peers with the killer line: ‘My dad will be king so you better watch out.’”

Prince Harry gave Camilla ‘long, cold glances’ that she found unnerving: Inside their rocky relationship

The relationship between certain members of the royal family remains a rocky one despite experts’ claims that there would be reconciliation following Queen Elizabeth’s passing.

The Sussexes’ decision to step down from their royal duties and leave Britain isn’t the first time controversy to arise regarding a decision made by members of the royal family. Accusations, affairs, and infidelity have been part of The Firm for a number of years, and the one which caused stir and shook the royalty to the core was the leaked affair between then-Prince Charles and now-Queen Consort Camilla.

The two got involved into an alleged relationship while they were still married to other people and Camilla was regarded as ‘the other woman’ for a number of years. Loving Lady Di meant not being able to love Camilla for a huge number of Britons. However, over the years, the public accepted both her and her role within the family.

When she and Charles tied the knot back in 2005, Camilla was awarded the title of Duchess of Cornwall. It was announced by the Palace at the time that when Charles becomes King, she would be regarded Princess Consort. That, however, changed following the celebration of late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, which marked her 70 years of reign, when Her Majesty made a decision Camilla to become Queen Consort instead.

“And when, in the fullness of time, my son Charles becomes King, I know you will give him and his wife Camilla the same support that you have given me, and it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service,” Queen Elizabeth said.

Just years before this decision which came as a surprise to many, Queen Elizabeth was reported to have called Camilla ‘that wicked woman,’ when Charles asked her to soften her antagonism so he could live openly with Camilla.

When William and Harry met Camilla fro the first time, William reportedly described the meeting as “awkward and tense.”

“I think the relationship between them all is warm now but if I’m honest, it wasn’t then. I think they found it hard,” a palace source told royal biographer Penny Junor, author of Prince William: Born to be King. “To be fair to Camilla, she never tried to be mummy but she was the ‘other woman’ and she was there and taking daddy’s time.”

Other experts claimed that initially, Harry wasn’t fond of Camilla either.

In her book The Palace Papers, royal author Tina Brown wrote that Harry “unnerved” Camilla.

“When the younger boy was eventually prevailed upon to be in the presence of Mrs Parker Bowles, he unnerved her with long silences and smouldering, resentful stares,” she quoted a courtier saying.

The relationship between them seemed to be a normal one over the years, but as it turns out, Harry isn’t happy with her receiving the title of Queen Consort.

“William has accepted Camilla in terms of what she means to his father. He’s been grown-up about it. “My father loves this woman, I can’t fight it, so I won’t,” the Telegraph reported Brown saying.

“Harry, on the other hand, can’t stand Camilla, he doesn’t want Camilla to be Queen, he’s very angry that it’s happening. He has not made his peace with it and he probably never will.”

Other royal experts have claimed the same.

“I don’t think Harry has a great deal of warmth for her; he waxes and wanes with her,” Ingrid Seward said on the podcast Pod Save the Queen earlier this year.

“I don’t know about the recent trip, but certainly I think Harry was quite happy to accept Camilla in the beginning but then went off the boil about her and I don’t think he holds her in great respect.”

According to royal expert Angela Levin, Camilla feels the same and she isn’t much interested in a relationship with Harry either.

“The Duchess always felt quite wary of Harry and used to see him out of the corner of her eye looking at her in a long and cold way. She found it rather unnerving. Otherwise, they got on quite well,” Levin writes in her new book Camilla: From Outcast to Queen Consort.

Further, sources close to the family say that Harry is trying to find someone to blame for his own mistakes which led to the rocky relationship between him and his brother and father, and it’s likely he would point his finger towards Camilla.

“What has happened and how [Prince Harry] has behaved has been very upsetting for her. There have been a lot of hurt feelings all round, but like all families you have to embrace it all and hope it will improve,” Levin adds.

As they allegedly tried to sort things out, Harry and Meghan asked for a mediator at the meeting they requested with King Charles. Camilla, however, found that ridiculous and said that they were a family and needed to sort things out between themselves.

With a lot of things happening withing the royal family, we are yet to see what the new ear in the monarchy would bring for the Sussexes.

Husband says he would be at his wife’s side till the end, and he plans to keep that promise

True love is hard to find, so when you do, make sure you never let go.

That is exactly what a man named Fred Gilland did when he met his soulmate, his wife of many years, Janice.

The two had been married for 51 years before Janice passed away.

Losing his wife crashed Fred’s world. He simply couldn’t imagine spending his days without his love by his side. But he made a promise that he would never leave her side, not until the day he dies. Today, 10 years after losing her, Fred still visits Janice’s grave every single day.

He spends certain amount of time there, and he does it through the sun, severe winters, and heavy rains. Nothing can stop this man from honoring the memory of his beloved late wife, not even the fact that he is 78 years old.

He says that each visit brings sweet memories of the times Janice was still around, and those memories are the most precious thing for this man.

“I’ve adored her since I saw her, she was extraordinarily gorgeous,” Fred said, adding that his wife was a woman who always put her family first and prioritized being around him. Missing her has been extremely hard for Fred, but the daily visits give him the strength he needs to move on.

What Fred and Janice had is truly wonderful. Many people who have seen Fred sitting in a chair right next to her grave agree that this form of commitment is the rarest of all. Fred, however, does it in the name of his love for Janice and we believe that’s beyond adorable.

This is the story of how Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg became best friends

We can’t choose our family, but we can certainly choose our friends. That said, we should pay a lot of thought about who we surround ourselves with, because friends are those people we share our lives with. We tell them our secrets, our fears, and what makes us happy.

Friends aren’t always peers or people we went to college with, and what makes friendship beautiful is that it comes in all shapes and sizes.

Speaking of “unusual” friendships, we can’t help but mention that of Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg. These two BFF’s break barriers and show us that when it comes to true friendship, age is just a number.

Martha, who is the first female self-made billionaire, has tried herself in different careers before becoming a well-known TV personality, and she was very successful in each of them.

As a teenager, she signed with Ford Models and was featured in shows, magazines, and commercials. According to her, she was “the all American girl.”

Later, she attended Barnard College and pursued a career as a stockbroker at an all-male firm.

“I lasted in that business for about eight years, working in a firm of all men. Only one woman owned a seat on the New York Stock Exchange at that time. I’m not intimidated by men; I never was,” Martha Stewart told People. “But men actually welcomed me to their offices. We wore hot pants to work. I still have my pale, peachy-pink ones and my chocolate-brown ones. I wore them with either high heels, bare legs, or tights. Elegant but also crazy. Like, how can you go to work in short-shorts? But I didn’t think twice about it. I was totally respected.”

Eventually, after years of working as a stockbroker, Martha felt she should spend more time with her family; her now ex-husband Andrew Steward and her only child, daughter Alexis.

While Alexis attended school in Westport, Connecticut, Martha came up with the idea of starting an at-home catering business. A decade later, she launched her company Martha Stewart Inc. which turned into a million dollar business.

In 1990, she and her husband divorced, and she had a hard time accepting the fact she and Andrew were no longer together.

“Getting divorced was a terrible thing for me because we were the first to divorce in my family,” she told the Daily Mail. “And that we haven’t spoken since the divorce is even more painful.”

In 2008, rapper Snoop Dogg was a guest on Martha Stewart Show and she found the way he spoke fun. In fact, she commented that they made a “weird couple.” This show was the start of something big and meaningful.

Snoop Dogg said at the time, “Martha kind of, like, pioneered this. As far as letting rappers become a part of daytime television.”

A year later, he returned to the show and their friendship only grew bigger. Speaking of what the two share, Snoop Dogg descried it as “a natural combination of love, peace, and harmony.”

In 2016, they decided to do a show together, Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party. It was a huge hit loved by many and received an Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program in 2017.

“It’s not fake, it’s not put on,” SallyAnn Salsano, the producer of Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party told Inc.. “It’s just what it is. That’s why I think it feels so good because you have two people that genuinely love each other and respect each other, for real.”

Watching them spend a bunch of time together led some to believe that there is possibly something more than just a friendship between Martha and Snoop Dogg, but that’s far from true. Speaking on Good Day New York, Martha, who is 30 years older than Snoop Dogg, said that what they have is just a genuine friendship, nothing more.

“Snoop is younger than my daughter. We have to have a professional relationship, don’t we Snoop?” she said, and added, “He is very attractive, I must say, he really is an attractive human being. Everybody likes him. It’s so nice that he’s popular, and the guests really adore him and respond to him nicely. And he has a great sense of humor.”

Being around Martha made Snoop Dogg a much better chef in the kitchen. In 2018, he published his cookbook From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen and his friend Martha wrote the foreword.

“Snoop and I have a special bond that dates back to when he first appeared on the Martha Stewart Show in 2008. Our relationship was born from our connection to food as we whipped up some cognac mashed potatoes and green brownies,” Martha Stewart wrote.

“Working with Snoop in the kitchen has been a remarkable experience for me. Not only has he taught me new lingo and cultural references, he surprised me with his unique cooking techniques and recipes.”

We are glad that despite their age difference, these two make such good friends.

Prince Harry is about to get a heavy hit from King Charles III

Long before the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the media reported that people close to then-Prince Charles claimed he was planning on slimming down the monarchy once he becomes King of England. Now that the time has come for him to ascend to the throne, many are convinced he would carry on with his plan.

“Charles has never made any secret of the fact that he wants a slimmed-down Monarchy when he becomes King. He realizes that the public don’t want to pay for a huge Monarchy and, as he said, the balcony at Buckingham Palace would probably collapse,” he was reported to have said.

As it turns out, the King is determined to protect both the Crown and his people, and one way to do that, according to a source close to the Royal Family, is by keeping Harry and Meghan away from The Firm.

In order to do so, he would probably use Edward VIII’s abdication as a model. When he married his wife, who was a divorcee, Edward was perceived as a foolish and disloyal, and it looks like history is repeating itself with Harry who stepped down from his royal duties and left Britain for America.

Under King Charles’ supervision, “the same thing is now happening with Harry and Meghan, and it will only intensify over the coming years.”

Reports are that the Sussexes will be invited to King Charles’ coronation, but they will be seated next to Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, just as they were during the funeral.

King Charles will likely be ruthless and will do all in his power to keep his younger son and his wife as far away from the focus of attention as possible.

It looks like that despite the opinion of a number of royal experts that the Queen’s passing will lead to reconciliation between the Sussexes and the rest of the family, the relationship between them continues to be a rocky one.

Christopher Andersen, a representative of the royal family, stated that “Harry and a Meghan still seem uncomfortable. We’ve seen that in a recent interview Meghan gave. It’s all really depressing, and I believe it will take a lot to restore things to their previous state.”

One thing that Meghan opened about was the Royal Rota, a system established more than 40 years ago as a way of giving UK print and broadcast media exclusive inside access to the official engagements of members of the Royal Family. She said she wasn’t happy sharing photos of her child with the media before showing them to the people who truly love her children.

With the new era in the British royalty, we are yet to see what future holds for Harry, Meghan, and their children.

Retired police officer hears cries of baby trapped in hot car – uses a sledgehammer to smash the window

Sadly, not every person is fit to be a parent. Most moms and dads would go to great lengths for the well-being of their children, but there are also those who put their little one’s life in danger because they don’t care enough or simply because they lack common sense.

One thing that parents do wrong is leaving their children inside a vehicle when the temperatures are high. This act speaks danger because the cabin of a car can become 20’C hotter than the temperature outside, even on cool and cloudy days.

The number of young children and babies who are left unattended inside a hot vehicle and lose their lives as a result is an average of 38 per year, and these numbers are devastating.

We can’t even imagine the heartbreak parents experience over these types of tragedies that can be easily avoided if moms and dads are informed of the dangers.

Retired sergeant Steve Eckel, of the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office, prevented a tragedy from taking place after he heard screams coming from a vehicle parked at a parking lot in Howell Township, New Jersey. He rushed towards the car to see what was going on and that’s when he realized a baby, around 4 months old, was left inside the car while the mom went shopping.

The little one was struggling to breath and was about to experience a heat stroke as the temperatures were pretty high, so Eckel knew he needed to act fast. At that moment, he remembered he had a sledgehammer in his car, so he rushed to grab it.

“She was sweating, crying, eyes rolling back,” he told CBS New York.

In no time, Eckel smashed the car window and took the baby out.

The mother came around 40 minutes later and was shocked to see her car’s window being broken and her child missing. She was then arrested for endangering the welfare of a child and the baby was placed in the care of her father.

“I do believe in guardian angels,” Steve said, “and I think that I’m the one for this child.”

We are so glad this man found himself in the right place at the right time to save a life.

Mother welcomes her first child at the age of 66: This is what their life looks like today

In today’s world, people tend to be very judgmental. It seems that a lot more time needs to pass until we learn not to judge others for the way they decide to live their life.

Adriana Iliescu from Romania became a hot topic in her country for becoming a mother at the age of 66. Many considered her decision selfish and believed she shouldn’t have given birth at such old age. She, on the other hand, was over the moon to finally be blessed with a bundle of joy.

Baby Eliza was born in 2005, and the news of her birth spread worldwide.

In 2010, when Eliza was five years old, her mother decided to open up about everything she was forced to go through because of people’s mean comments.

“The mirror is unkind to women, but if we are talking about my energy then I feel like a young woman. I feel like I’m 27 and when I feel a bit more tired, I feel like I’m 37. I am healthier than women more than half my age,” she told Daily Mail.

“People think they are being funny when they call me granny, but I didn’t have Eliza to make me look younger. I never feel my years.”

During the interview with the British tabloid, then 71-year-old Adriana said that she was planning on having another child because it was medically possible for her to give birth yet again.

”Medically, it’s possible,” she said. ”I understand there are trials going on with a 70-year-old woman in England, so it could be done. I am fine and healthy and I think it would be possible to have another child in the future, but I’m not in a rush at the moment.”

Adriana is a great mother and Eliza loves her to the moon and back. Although many call her granny, Eliza doesn’t bother her mother is older than her friends’ mothers.

“I don’t smoke and I don’t drink. If I live as long as my parents did, Eliza will be 20 by the time I pass away. I think I still have a lot to give her,” Adriana says.

When she was young, Adriana was married and got pregnant, but she lost the baby and her husband left her. After that, she focused all her time on her career as a professor at a university in Bucharest.

“I couldn’t even think about a child, as I was working,” she said and continued: “But, from the age of 37, after I had completed my doctorate, I was ready to have a child. But there was not IVF back then.”

When she shared with her family and friends that she wanted to become a mother, they all considered her decision crazy and many turned their backs on her. However, she was determined to have a child and her wish came true after she met Dr. Bogdan Marinescu for a treatment. The first treatment failed, and then she became pregnant with triplets. Sadly, two of the babies died and Eliza was the only one who stayed alive. She was born prematurely and needed to spend quite some time at the hospital, but she eventually reached all the milestones and today she is a healthy 17-year-old lady.

Eliza is following into her mother’s academic footsteps and is an excellent student.

When Eliza was still young Adriana wanted to baptize her, but the nuns looked at her with resentment and one even said that the girl was “the product of dark force.” Adriana, on other hand, says that her daughter is a gift from God.

Today, at the age of 83, Adriana still works as a half-time lecturer and is writing children’s’ books.

Adriana made a deal with the doctor who performed her IVF that in case she passes, he will become the girl’s legal guardian.

We hope this brave mother will be around for a lot more years and will get to see her daughter graduate from college. We wish both of them only the best.

109-Year-Old Woman Shared the Secret to a Long Life

Some people are blessed with a long life. But is there a secret to longevity?

Well, according to science, if you want to lead a healthy life, which probably has to do with the number of age you reach, you need to eat healthy, exercise, be active, and have a social life. But who else would tell us exactly what leads to reaching many years of age than those who celebrated a milestone of turning 100 and even more years old?

Susannah Mushatt Jones, a woman who got to live to 106, claimed that eating bacon on a regular basis added to her long life.

In order to learn more of the lifestyle and the habits of centenarians, Holiday Retirement commissioned a national survey in 2015. The answers they got from the elderly were pretty amazing. Some were surprising as well.

One of the most unconventional responses came from a 109-year-old woman from Scotland named Jessie Gallan.

Jessie, who passed away shortly after the survey was conducted, lived in a nursing home and was described by her caretakers as a vibrant person.

“Jessie is a lovely woman. She has got her best friend here, Sarah Jane, and they are always together. She likes her music and likes her exercise class and is a very independent person. Jessie is always walking about,” caretaker Gillian Bennett told STV when talking of Jessie.

Jessie was born in 1906 on a farm in Kintore, Scotland. She and her family, her parents and her six siblings lived in a two-bedroom cottage and slept on a straw-filled mattress.

Back in the day, not many young women attended school, but Jessie was among the lucky ones to start her education. However, she soon left school in order to work as a maid and later in the service industry in both the city and countryside.

Asked what her secret to such a long life was, Jessie stunned the reporter by saying, “My secret to a long life has been staying away from men. They’re just more trouble than they’re worth.”

Hearing this bold statement, we are certain there are AMENS coming from other women out there.

Besides avoiding men, Jessie said that another secret of hers was a dairy component. “I like my porridge. I have all my life.”

It turns out that the right life choices related can add to their longevity. For Jessie, that was staying away from men and having her oatmeal.

The truth is that what works for one person may not be fit for another, so we should all do what makes us happy. I guess that’s the ultimate secret to a long life.

The life of Serena Williams, one of the best female tennis players in the world

When it comes to female tennis, two of the names that come to mind are those of sisters Venus and Serena Williams.

The road to brilliance for these sisters didn’t come overnight, but with a lot of hard work and immense number of hours of practice. It’s safe to say that they owe much of their success to their father Richard, who saw tennis as a way of providing a better life for his daughters.

At the time they were still very young, he wrote what is now considered the legendary 78-page-plan on how to practice and become successful in the sport. The idea of his girls getting involved in the game came to Richard after he had seen Romanian tennis player Virginia Ruzici receive $20,000 for winning the 1978 French Open. He knew nothing about the game, but he was so determined to teach Venus and Serena master it that he quit his job and dedicated all his time on learning how to become a master of the game himself while his wife Oracene provided for the family who consisted of seven people living in a two-bedroom home.

Serena played in her first junior tournament when she was just nine years of age and made it to the final. There, her opponent was nobody else but her sister Venus.

At the age of 13, Serena made her pro-debut at the Bell Challenge in Quebec but lost the match in less than an hour.

Then, in 1997, during the Ameritech Cup, Serena beat No. 7 ranked Mary Pierce, then No. 4 ranked Monica Seles, making her the lowest-ranked player (No. 304) to beat two top-ten opponents in one tournament.

From that moment on, it took Serena only two years to become a sensation and a huge tennis star adored by many. Not only she started winning major tournaments, such as Grand Slams, but she found herself on the covers of prestigious magazines such as Sport Illustrated and signed a multimillion-dollar contract with Puma.

At the same time, Venus was reaching quite a success in her own right and the rivalry between the sisters was apparent.

Becoming two of the best female tennis players in the world, Serena defeated Venus in the French Open, the US. Open, the Wimbledon final and, in early 2003, she won her first Australian Open.

What Serena achieved on the tennis court is a staggering number of titles.

Both Serena and Venus have been fierce advocates for gender equality in sports and have served as inspiration to many young people who dreamed of conquering the tennis courts.

“[Serena] undeniably revolutionized women’s tennis, and gave so many women and girls, especially those within the Black community, a powerful representation of what it looks like to rise above adversity, fight for what you believe, and be a champion,” Marisa Grimes, chief diversity & inclusion officer at the United States Tennis Association, told Insider.

Earlier in August, great Serena Williams announced she is retiring, and that certainly means spending her days with her daughter Olympia and her husband, Alexis Ohanian.

Serena and Alexis met when they were both staying at a same hotel in Rome, the place where he would propose a year later.

As he sat next to Serena’s table, she tried to chase him off by sending Zane Haupt, who handled her business development opportunities, go and tell Alexis there was a rat under his table. His answer was that he’s from Brooklyn and sees rats all the time.

Since she realized he wasn’t going anywhere, Serena invited Alexis to her table. It was then that he realized she was the famous tennis player. He, however, had never watched a single game of tennis until then as he didn’t have respect for the sport. But meeting Serena changed that.

Alexis is best known as the founder of Reddit. He and his business partners sold the site for $15 million. Today, its worth is estimated at $4 billion.

Some years after selling it, Alexis went back to Reddit as an executive chairman but left the position in 2020.

Serena has spoken of her daughter Olympia and said that nothing she does for her ever feels like a sacrifice.

In the past, the tennis goddess never thought she would be a mother, or at least, she believed there would be someone taking care of her child 24/7, but once Olympia was welcomed into the world, that all changed.

Serena says she’s “an incredibly hands-on mother.”

Serena remains one of the greatest female players there are.

How Priscilla Presley, 77, had plastic surgery procedure gone wrong: Inside her life

The first ever meeting between The King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, and his wife Priscilla was a serendipitous one.

Priscilla and her family were living in Germany at the time, and Elvis was serving in the United States Army’s 3rd Armored Division.

One day, she was eating at a restaurant when a customer approached her and asked her if she wanted to meet Elvis.

She was quick to say ‘yes,’ and met him that same night.

“Three or four of Elvis’ friends were with their dates, and a couple of girls dropped by. It was a very casual evening – a family atmosphere. Elvis was sitting in a chair when I arrived and he got up and shook my hand. Then reality hit me, and I thought, ‘What am I doing here?” she recalled in her book.

It looked like The King knew this girl was the love of his life the moment he laid eyes on her. During the next two years of their life, the two stayed in touch before Elvis invited her to spend the summer with him in his Los Angeles place. By the next spring, Priscilla moved to the US in a house near Graceland before she moved in with Elvis.

The couple tied the knot on May 1, 1967 and welcomed their first and only child Lisa Marie the following year.

“My wedding was very unusual,” Priscilla told Closer Weekly. “It was the people closest to us, and private, and that’s how we wanted it. We didn’t want a fan club.”

The union didn’t last long, and the couple finalized their divorce in 1973. The reason behind the split that left many in shock was infidelity on both sides.

“He wasn’t faithful,” Priscilla told AU News. “Not that he had someone special, but when you’re in the entertainment business there is always that and I tried to turn my back to that, but I just didn’t want to share him.”

On the day of their divorce, the two left the courthouse hand in hand. They both spoke how they still loved each other, despite the decision to get separated.

“I divorced him even though I still loved him, but I needed to find out what the world was like, but the greatest thing about our relationship is that we still loved each other,” Priscilla said.

Unfortunately, Elvis passed away at the age of just 42, leaving the entire world mourning his loss.

After his death, Priscilla turned the Graceland into a tourist attraction and pursued a career as an actress. Her most significant roles are that of Jane Spencer in the successful Naked Gun films and Jenna Wade on the long-running television series Dallas.

She also became part of the infamous Church of Scientology defined by many as a cult, which is the church to many celebrities, among which Tom Cruise.

Priscilla was involved with Rob Kardashian from 1975 to 1976 and then dated Marco Garibaldi for almost two decades with whom she has her son Navarone Anthony Garibaldi, a musician and part of the band Them Guns. Priscilla is a grandmother to four grandchildren. Sadly, her grandson Benjamin Keough died of suicide on 14th of July 2020. Lisa Marie Presley was said to be left completely heartbroken. Her manager Roger Widynowski told TMZ, “She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley. She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”

Over the years, many speculated that Priscilla underwent a number of correction surgeries, one of which was botched. Sadly, she was one of the victims of Argentinian-born Dr. Daniel Serrano who was later arrested for injecting low-grade industrial silicone similar to that used by mechanics to grease car parts in his patients.

“Priscilla Presley was one of many documented victims of Dr. Serrano,” her spokesperson said in 2008.

“An investigation which uncovered his misconduct ultimately lead to his imprisonment. Ms. Presley dealt with this matter years ago and everything is now well.”

Plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Robert Stephen Mulholland, the medical director and physician owner SpaMedica Cosmetic Surgery and Infinite Vitality Clinics in Canada, explained that Priscilla’s surgeries had a good start but a bad finish, saying her cheeks are a little over-augmented and her mouth is a little pulled.

“Her brows, which used to be very severe eight years ago when she had a brow lift that changed her whole look, are now settled. And her eyes actually look fairly reasonable,” Dr. Mulholland told Now to Love.

“I think at this point you’d want her not to do any more volume with the mid-face section – just let it settle a bit. If she’s had a tension pull, allow it to relax. And just allow her face to age more appropriately,” he said.

One thing about Priscilla Presley is certain, she’s doing a great job keeping Elvis’ legacy alive.

Man’s mother-in-law was pictured sitting on a chair in the kitchen, and that changed everything

You can choose your friends, but you can’t choose your family, and most of us are perfectly aware that family relationships can be tough at times.

It is a common belief that out of all the relationships between members of a family, the one between the son-in-law and the mother-in-law is often the most tenuous one, so it makes it hard for many women to just sit and watch the war unfolding between the people they love; their husband and mother.

A man named Scott and his mother-in-law, Sharon, didn’t get along. He thought she was not minding her own business and she believed her daughter could choose better. The two, however, didn’t show any hostility towards each other all for the sake of the happiness of the woman whom they both loved unconditionally.

However, an unpleasant event changed the relationship between these two forever and Scott is now trying to teach everyone a lesson of acceptance.

Namely, his wife was diagnosed with cancer, and she needed help around the clock. With Scott having to work and provide for the medical bills, it was Sharon who took care of her daughter. In order to do so, she and her husband, who was a war veteran, moved in with Scott and his wife.

What Scott saw in Sharon during the two years she lived with them was a strong woman who was there for everyone despite the hardship and the personal struggles she was facing.

This is what Scott wrote of his mother-in-law:

“This is Sharon.

“I learned from her that it’s crucial to accept people for who they are, not for what you want them to be.

“My mother-in-law made it difficult for me to understand her when I first met her. She appeared to be behaving rudely demanding and aggressively. But I welcomed her into my family because I understood how much she meant to the love of my life. I still had no idea who she was after 7 years.

“When my ex-wife was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 30, with just a 10% chance of survival, when our world was wrecked and changed forever, Sharon calmly and firmly assumed the position for which she was born. She relocated to our home with her husband, who had sustained an injury during the Vietnam War, to work as my wife’s nurse. She transported both of the family’s patients to the more than 300 doctors they required, handled hundreds of prescriptions, performed the majority of our shopping over the course of two years, prepared all of our meals, washed all of our clothing, cleaned us, and made sure we were all okay at all times. And she did this even after receiving a cancer diagnosis while providing care for another person. She had her breast removed. She was also receiving chemotherapy. While working, she slowly sings. She speaks up on her own when no one would listen, and she moves through each day with dignity and humility. I took this image one day before heading to work. She was unaware that I was there,” Scott wrote.

“Friends, this is what greatness looks like when everything is serene and peaceful. Waiting for her daughter’s oatmeal to be prepared for the 300th time since she became ill. Chemotherapy caused her to lose her hair. Despite having every reason to give up, she chose not to. Not everyone gets the privilege to live with a superhero. And each day I am grateful beyond measure for it.”

Princess Diana was the princess of the people. She was a refreshment to the Royal family that many seemed to be looking forward to. Spontaneous, grounded, and with a heart of gold, she made everyone love her. Even today, years after her death, she still remains an icon the British and people from all around the world cherish.

Lady Di was a devoted mother who was willing to do everything for her children, Prince William and Prince Harry. She showed that her kids were most important to her, even more important than any Royal rules when she broke the protocol and attended the games at the school where she competed with other parents.

When she tragically died after being involved in a car crash, her niece Kitty Spencer was just 6.

Although she was very young when her aunt died, Kitty does have memories with her. Speaking to the Daily Mail she said, “I was so young when she died. There are only a few memories, but special and happy memories, and I’m so lucky to have those.”

A father who lost his son in a vehicle accident has dedicated a particular spot to his memory along a lonely road

There is no greater heartbreak than that of losing a child. Unfortunately, many parents have experienced this awful feeling that won’t let them move on with their life.

A man named Ray Olson is one of them. This bereaved father struggled to accept the fact that his son was gone, so in order to help himself even a bit with the pain that filled his heart, he decided to dedicate a specific spot by the side of the road to his son’s honor.

Sadly, the spot he chose, which was near the place where his son lost his life in a car crash with a drunk driver, belonged to a multimillion-dollar company.

Convinced that they wouldn’t let him create a sacred place there, Ray decided not to ask for permission because he was certain no one would ever even notice him visiting it. In order not to be spotted going there, he only went to the location when it was dark outside. He always went alone.

This father was tormented with sadness and these visits provide him with inner peace, at least for a short time.

After nearly 13 years of silence, Ray found a ticket on the location. The piece of paper said that the company was planning on building something on that spot. Needless to say, Ray felt devastated. This location served as a connection to his son who was robbed of his life way too early.

But he then read the entire message and he couldn’t believe his eyes. Apparently, the owners of the company learned of Ray’s spot so they decided to build a real memorial in his son’s honor.

Eventually, they did what they promised and even placed a plaque which said the memorial was honoring Ray’s son. Next to it, they put a bench so Ray could sit there as longer as he wanted.

According to Chevron representative Joe Lorenz, this was now Ray’s location and he no longer needed to visit it during the night, trying not to be spotted.

Unseen picture of Queen Elizabeth beaming released after her death

For most Britons, Queen Elizabeth II was more than just a monarch who led their country for incredible 70 years. She was their strength and a motherly figure, thus her passing brought immense grief and sadness.

When the news of her ill-heatlh was shared in the media on the day of her passing, a huge number of people gathered together and filled the streets of the major cities around United Kingdom as a sign of support. The number of those that arrived at Balmoral Castle, the Queen’s summer residence where she passed away, was even bigger.

When members of the royalty started arriving one by one, everyone assumed the Queen was living her last moments. Sadly, that happened to be the truth which left millions of people from all around the world heartbroken.

In a statement on Thursday, September 8, Buckingham Palace said:

“The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and the Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”

The new ruler of the country, King Charles III, the Queen’s eldest son, spoke to the nation and said, “The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family.

“We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved Mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world.”

King Charles added, “During this period of mourning and change, my family and I will be comforted and sustained by our knowledge of the respect and deep affection in which The Queen was so widely held.”

Following her passing, The Palace released a never-before-seen portrait of the late Queen. According to the Daily Mirror, the photo was taken in May of 2022, ahead of the Platinum Jubilee which marked her reign of 70 years during which she led the country through significant social changes. The portrait shows Queen Elizabeth’s radiant smile which became her signature feature over the years.

Her Majesty can be seen wearing a blue dress with her favorite three-strand pearl necklace, as well as pearl earrings and the clip brooches she received from her father King George VI in 1944.

Queen Elizabeth was said to have taken an active hand in planning her funeral which attracted record-breaking numbers of viewers from across the globe, who watched as her coffin was pulled through the streets of London.

Bridget Fonda looks unrecognizable as she steps out for rare outing

Acting talent definitely runs in the blood of the Fonda family. From Henry Fonda, his children, actor Peter Fonda and actress Jane Fonda, to his granddaughter Bridget, this name has always been sort of a synonym for the movie industry.

Bridget, who retired from acting, has captivated the attention of many with her incredible looks and skills.

Being born in the famous family of distinguished actors, her career was somehow determined from the moment she was welcomed into the world. Her passion for acting and the excitement she felt when she was cast for her school’s, Westlake School for Girls in Los Angeles, production of Harvey was more than enough for young Bridget to be absolutely sure that embarking on a career as an actress was her calling.

Bridget’s first noteworthy role was that of Mandy Rice-Davies in Scandal for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Other prominent films that shaped her career are The Godfather Part III, where she played a journalist, Single White Female, Singles, Point of No Return, an American remake of the 1990 French film Nikita, and more. Her last movie was Snow Queen, which aired in 2002, after which she hasn’t appeared on screen.

During her acting career, Bridget turned down many roles in TV series because she wanted to focus on movies. One such role that she said no to was that of Ally McBeal in the same name series, which was later offered to actress Calista Flockhart. Ally McBeal was a huge hit and was loved worldwide, so we aren’t sure whether Bridget regretted not taking that role.

A year before she decided she had it enough of filming, gorgeous Bridget appeared as a Christmas lingerie model for H&M. She once said, ”Nudity is who people are at the most interesting point of the evening, when they take off their protective layer, when no one is watching.”

Bridget didn’t see herself as a type of person who would marry one day, but in 2003, she tied the knot with composer Danny Elfman. The two have a son, Oliver, and are still happily married.

As she wanted to focus on her family, Bridget left the spotlight some 20 years ago and not much has been heard of her during those years.

Recent photos of the actress show her drastic change in physical appearance. Many argue that she doesn’t resemble her old self.

In a dramatic departure from her skinny figure, Bridget was spotted wearing a pair of dark trousers and a black and white striped V-neck T-shirt. She was photographed earlier this year wearing the same top and similar pants while running errands with her husband and son.

In 2020, the couple sold their two adjacent mansions in Los Angeles for a combined price tag of $14.6 million and moved to a ranch instead. They were planning on staying there during the lockdown and until the end of the pandemic, but they eventually made the ranch their permanent home.

Without any make up and her grey hair in a ponytail, Bridget Fonda surprised her fans with her looks. She has gained a significant amount of weight and is far from the woman she used to look like.

94-year-old veteran approaches schoolgirl, mom learns his secret of 15-years

Gina Arnold’s daughter, Aubrey, attends the Marina Village Middle School in El Dorado Hills, California. When Aubrey first told her mother about an old man who was waiting the kids opposite the school every day, that raised a red flag for Gina who had to check out what was going on. Her girl talking to strangers wasn’t something she was happy about. But then she learned the truth about the elderly man her daughter simply adores.

Aubrey is always eager to talk to “the cute, little old man” before she enters the school. This is sort of routine for many of her classmates who would start their day learning a life wisdom Mr. Wally Richardson would share with them. Aubrey was displeased the day her mom forgot to drop her off along the street, down from her school, and that’s when Gina met the sweet old man, and it was clear why the kids loved him so much.

“Mr. Knuckles,” the nickname this man got from his little friends, is a 94-year-old veteran. He joined in the U.S Navy during the World War II and was also a fighter pilot in the Korean War, but it seems he is not ready to quit serving the country just yet. The difference is that now he moved from the war zone to the sidewalk opposite the middle school where he meets the kids and teaches them important things about life.

He shares life lessons with the students and gets “fist bumps” in return. He simply enjoys spending time with the kids which make him feel young and important. The things he likes to teach the youngsters are how to be kind to each other, treat everyone with respect, and all sorts of valuable advice, so they get their first lesson of the day even before school starts.

All of the parents now know who Mr. Knuckles is and what he does for the kids. Everyone appreciates the time and the effort this man puts in teaching their kids how to be better people, and he does that with devotion and a smile on his face.

“When I drove by I saw him and my heart burst,” Gina recalled. “He’s like an angel, you can’t help but feel calm and peace when you go near him,” she said. “There are kids in college who still remember how he greeted them.”

But this is not the first time he greets the students in the morning, it’s amazing to learn that he’s been doing this for 15 years now. Everything started when one morning during his daily walk, he came across some teenagers and decided to have a little chat with them about the importance of being kind and polite to others. “If they can be kind and loving to people in life, they won’t have any trouble getting by,” he said.

Even the school officials know of Wally and his positive influence on the students. He is someone kids trust and respect. He is their favorite “teacher” whom they love, and as the school’s superintendent, Cheryl Olson says: “It takes one significant adult in a kid’s life and you can impact them forever, and Wally is that person with kids.”

Some of the many “Wally-isms” he has shared with the students are “Knowing what’s right doesn’t mean much — unless you do what’s right!” Another says, “Be kind whenever possible,” to what students answer, “It’s always possible!” These are written on the Wally’s Wall in front of the school, so students won’t forget them. It’s sort of a tribute for everything Mr. Knuckles does for these young souls. He has a great role in shaping the way they treat others.

Wally Richardson told CBS News, “I want them to retain something that they can take on in life later on.” This retired man is never tired of teaching kids right from wrong. He is a true serviceman who is used to helping others, and his age is not an obstacle to continue doing so for many years to come. He believes young minds should be taught core values in order for us to raise a nation of good people.

The royal family is facing more issues

The love between King Charles and his wife Camilla, who has been given the title Queen Consort after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, dates back to 1970 when the two connected during a polo match. At the time, he was 22, and she was 24.

However, when Charles went off to sea as part of his naval duty, they broke things off.

The two tied the knot 35 years later, and their love has been described as unconventional since they were both married to other people when they started an affair. Eventually both of their marriages broke down and the two started dating again, causing quite a stir when an intimate phone call between them leaked in 1993. At the time, the media wrote of the huge scandal that shook the monarchy, but Charles and Camilla’s love prevailed, and they made their relationship public a year after Princess Diana’s death.

Lady Di was perfectly aware that Charles was seeing Camilla and that shattered her heart into a million pieces. She even confronted her once. According to her biographer, Diana said, “I know what’s going on between you and Charles and I just want you to know that. She said to me: ‘You’ve got everything you ever wanted. You’ve got all the men in the world fall in love with you and you’ve got two beautiful children, what more do you want?’ So I said, ‘I want my husband.’ And I said, ‘I’m sorry I’m in the way…and it must be hell for both of you. But I do know what’s going on. Don’t treat me like an idiot.’”

In 1995, during an interview with BBC One’s Panorama, Diana spoke about Camilla’s relationship with Charles, saying, “There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded.”

When Charles and Camilla tied the knot in 2005, the public wasn’t very happy. Loving late Princess Diana tremendously made Britons unable to force themselves to be fond of Camilla.

Over time, however, they learned how to love her and respect her, although not to the extend they did it with Princess Diana.

Arthur Edwards, a photographer who has often traveled with the royal family, describes Camilla as the perfect fit for the King, saying she helped ‘cool’ the King’s ‘sparky temper.’

“[He is] peaceful, a lot more relaxed when addressing problems than he was previously, ever since he married Camilla,” Edwards was reported to have said.

“He used to have a fiery temper, but I haven’t seen it in a long time, and he’s given me a real talk every now and then, do you know what I mean?”

Speaking of how she managed to improve her image with the general public, Edwards said that “[the Queen Consort] has over two hundred patrons, and she works without stopping even when she does. The most important aspect is that she has the Prince’s support, though.”

Back in 2020, New Idea claimed they learned first-hand that Charles and Camilla were divorcing because he had allegedly “had enough” and was seen meeting with Fiona Shackleton, the experienced lawyer who guided him through his first divorce from Princess Diana.

The source further claimed that as the world was obsessed with the rift between the brothers, William and Harry, as well as the misunderstandings between their wives, there had been a much larger drama taking place behind closed doors.

According to the site, the source close to the family said, “Their marriage will last as it stands now because it has to. Charles doesn’t have a choice. He has nowhere else to go and no-one else who will stand by him.

“Camilla has taken all the c–p she can take, so she’s strong enough to handle what’s been dished out if she becomes queen, which is a role she wants.”

King Charles plots major change to the monarchy to put Harry out in the cold

King Charles III doesn’t waste any time when it comes to handling his role as a monarch of the country.

Even before he took the new role, Charles announced he would be making changes within the Royal Family. In the past, sources claimed that then Prince Charles spoke of slimming down the monarchy.

“Charles has never made any secret of the fact that he wants a slimmed-down Monarchy when he becomes King. He realizes that the public don’t want to pay for a huge Monarchy and, as he said, the balcony at Buckingham Palace would probably collapse,” he was reported to have said.

It was revealed recently that during the days of mourning, he handed in notice of redundancy to a number of people employed at Clarence Castle, the home he and Camilla, The Queen Consort, have been living in for over 20 years.

In his speech to his people, he said that the new role which comes with plenty of responsibilities would mean cutting down on certain charitable work.

According to reports, yet another change is on the way, and it concerns the King’s younger son, Prince Harry. It isn’t a secret that the father-son relationship between the two has been a turbulent one. The reason, as we all know already, is the decision Harry and Meghan to step down from their royal duties and settle down in the States, hoping they would allow a life away from the public eye for their son Archie, and later, their daughter Lilibet Diana as well.

However, as leaving Britain didn’t infuriate William and Charles enough, Harry and his wife went even further and revealed details of what was going on behind closed doors at The Firm during the all-tell interview with Oprah.

Accusations have been made and reports were that now-King Charles gave his son a cold shoulder in the past and wouldn’t return his calls, thus blamed him for dragging the family name in the mud.

Harry spoke openly of his relationship with his father and said during an occasion that he was trying to put a stop to the “cycle of genetic pain and suffering.”

And now, as many royal experts got convinced that the relationship between King Charles and Prince Harry would be rebuild, the media reported that the King is ‘plotting’ yet another change which will likely disappoint Harry a great deal.

According to The Mirror, His Majesty intends to make changes to the law to prevent non-working royals from being Counselors of State by changing the 1937 Regency Act which dictates that the spouse of a monarch and the four adults next in line to the throne can act as Counselors of State.

With the passing of the Queen, three of those royals are non-working royals, Prince Andrew, Prince Harry, and Princess Beatrice, and King Charles is allegedly planning to push them further out in the cold outside the royal sphere.

Counselors of State can fill in for the King and carry out official functions such as holding Privy Council meetings and meeting new ambassadors. However, they do not have the authority to dissolve Parliament, grant rank titles, or deal with matters that involve the entire Commonwealth.

During the latest years of Queen Elizabeth’s reign, the roles of Counselors of State were filled by Charles, William, Harry, and Andrew, as well as her husband, Philip.

However, any change in legislation has to pass in Parliament, so we are yet to see if these changes will ever take place.

After two bone marrow transplants, this young hero will make your day

Leah Carroll is just four years old but she’s already a star on the internet thanks to her incredibly bubbly personality and her positive outlook on life.

This cute little girl has been through so much in her life, but she never lost her optimism.

Namely, Leah suffered from Severe Congenital neutropenia, a condition that causes affected individuals to be prone to recurrent infections because of an abnormally low level (deficiency) of neutrophils, a type of white blood cell that plays a role in inflammation and in fighting infection.

For Leah, this disease meant going through two major bone marrow transplant surgeries. As a result, she needed to spend many days at the hospital, but she eventually started feeling better and celebrated her triumph over the illness in the most adorable way possible, by belting out the lyrics to the song ‘Overcomer.’

The video of Leah singing melted millions of hearts. It was shared with the caption, “She’s an overcomer. Septic shock, two bone marrow transplants, graft vs. host disease and 325 days away from home in the hospital. God is so good to us through it all and Leah is proof of his mercy and grace! I do not own the rights to this song.”

Many felt the urge to send her good wishes, with one person writing, “She’s going to rule the world with such strenght and love!! Something we need so much today!!! Her song truly came to life for her!! So, so awesome!!!! May God bless you always, you precious little one!!!”

Her mother Lindsay explained that her daughter’s bone marrow transplants, which ended up saving her life, were possible because of a donor they found through the site Be the Match.

Now that Leah is on a way to a clean bill of health, the family has a teacher named Holly Robinson to thank to.

Speaking of the donor, Lindsay said, “She’s teacher by day and she’s in the Navy reserve so it’s cool for me to think that Leah has a little bit of that in her.”

The family wants to raise awareness of the importance of bone marrow donation. Isn’t it beautiful to be able to save someone’s life?

Kate Middleton says that her youngest child, Prince Louis, has a hard time coping with the Queen’s death

British royals, as well as the entire country, are doing all in their power to adjust to a life without the monarch who led them for 70 years. Queen Elizabeth was Britain’s strength who showed serious interest in government and political affairs, and apart from her ceremonial duties, she did a lot to modernize many aspects of the monarchy.

In a time where monarchies across the world seem to be losing public appeal, Queen Elizabeth II steered the British monarchy into a path of continuous relevance and impact.

Her death was a huge blow for the entire country and her family.

Among those mourning her loss are her three great-grandchildren, Prince George, who is now second-in-line to the throne, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, the children of William, Prince of Wales, and Kate Middleton.

George and Charlotte attended their great-grandmother’s funeral and are old enough to understand that the Queen is gone. The youngest of the siblings, Louis, who is just 4 years old, has a hard time understanding what is going on.

Reportedly, the newly appointed Princess of Wales, told Australia’s Governor-General David Hurley in a conversation that her younger son is struggling with everything that is taking place due to his young age and is confused, thus asking plenty of questions about Queen Elizabeth.

According to Hurley, George and Charlotte do understand that Her Majesty is gone, and they are perfectly aware of how important she was to the people of Britain. George is “sort of now realizing how important his great-grandmother was and what is going on,” Hurley was reported to have said.

Apparently, Louis expressed concerns about the way the family’s summers at Balmoral Castle would look like now that his great-grandmother is dead. He is still unable to take in everything that has happened, but he has sweet memories with the late Queen, such as the games they used to play together.

“The younger one is now asking questions like, ‘do you think we can still play these games when we go to Balmoral’ and things like that, because she’s not going to be there?’” Hurley said.

The young prince wasn’t in attendance at the funeral as his parents believed the lengthy ceremony would be “overwhelming for their youngest to handle and digest.”

They also had second thoughts about George and Charlotte as well, but since they attended Prince Philip’s memorial service, the new Prince and Princess of Wales decided their older children should be present at their great-grandmother’s funeral.

It was Kate who shared the news of the Queen’s passing with her children prior to the official announcement as she wanted her to be the one to tell them.

“She gently told George, Charlotte, and Louis about Elizabeth’s passing at Windsor prior to the official announcement. She wanted them to hear the tragic news directly from her to ease the blow,” a royal insider reported, as per Closer Weekly.

“Kate said that Elizabeth is in heaven with Prince Philip. There were lots of tears and hugs, naturally. The children are upset.”

The changes which followed include the three siblings as well. Since their parents got new titles, the children will now be known as the “Wales Children,” with the youngest being referred to as Prince Louis of Wales.

Mere days before receiving the devastating news about the Queen, George, Charlotte, and Louis started attending Labrook School, a prestigious prep school.

According to People, the kids “have settled in nicely with their new school and have new friends.”

Harry and Meghan obeyed royal rules for the Queen’s farewell – showed “loving support” later

Ever since the moment they were born, the members of the British royal family have been living a life under the spotlight, and now, with the passing of Queen Elizabeth, whose reigning of 70 years has impacted and shaped history in many ways, all eyes are on the royals once again.

Among the rest, many are eager to see whether the relationship between the Sussexes, who stepped down from their royal duties back in 2020, and the rest of the family would get any better. Bridges have been burnt between them and things have been said, but experts are convinced that both Harry and Meghan are doing all in their power to smooth things down as their recent behavior has been interpreted as an attempt to offer an olive branch to the newly appointed King, Charles, and the Prince of Wales, William.

When the media broke the news of the Queen’s ill-health in the morning of the day she passed away, Harry and Meghan happened to be in London for an event. This meant they were right there with the Royal Family through it all.

There is no doubt that Harry was heartbroken because of his loving grandmother’s death. It wasn’t a secret that she adored him and had a soft spot for him. Following Megxit, it was reported that Charles and William were left infuriated, which wasn’t the case with Queen Elizabeth. She was very sad, but she wasn’t mad at her grandson.

During a service at Westminster Hall, which preceded Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, Harry and Meghan were spotted holding hands. The couple faced heavy criticism because it was a formal event, and allegedly, they weren’t supposed to show affection towards one another. According to the media, holding hands during such an occasion was disrespectful.

However, not many share this opinion. Journalist Lorraine Kelly said it was beautiful that the couple held hands as it showed Meghan was very supportive of her husband in his time of grief for someone that meant so much to him. “And on the way out [of the service] quite instinctively, he held hands with his wife as he should,” she told royal expert Jennie Bond.

Bond was on the same page with Kelly and said she couldn’t understand why the media would want Harry and Meghan to follow the protocol of not holding hands during a grand occasion such as that one.

However, the Sussexes seemed to have paid attention to the criticism, so on the day the Queen was laid to rest, they were very formal and kept physical distance between them.

Katia Loisel, a body language expert, noted how the Duchess of Sussex kept her head bowed, hands clasped in front, and eyes downcast, unlike most of the procession that walked with their arms by their sides on the day of the funeral. She believed Meghan’s gesture was a sign of self-protection and showed uncertainty or discomfort and “a sign of respect.”

Another body language expert, Judi James, analysed Meghan’s behavior at the funeral as well. She told Page Six that although the couple did not hold hands during the funeral, Meghan had certainly lent “silent support” to her husband. “She seemed to offer a continuation of that silent support to her husband while sitting and walking with a look of dignity tinged with sadness,” James said.

Pregnant woman notices an angel kissing her unborn child on ultrasound

Carrying a child has to be one of the best feelings a woman can ever experience. Giving birth is a miracle all by itself, and the joy a child brings in their parents’ lives is immense.

A woman named Shantel Carrillo was overly excited when she fell pregnant, so when she was in the fifth month, she shared a photo of the ultrasound on her social media.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary to her, but her friends were quick to notice something pretty unusual. “It looks like a person is kissing the baby on the photo,” one person wrote, and soon, many commented that they see the image as well.

After looking at the photo closely, Shantel not only noticed the image of a person kissing her unborn child, but she realized that the ‘angel’ shown on the ultrasound looked very familiar.

“It was honestly like a punch in the chest, like, how awesome it was to see that. It’s nice to look at and it’s a great story to tell,” she said as she shared that she was certain the angel kissing her unborn daughter looked exactly like her deceased father.

Shantel then posted a side-by-side photos of the ultrasound and another one in which her dad holds her older daughter.

The resemblance between the two pictures is uncanny.

“It has his nose, his little chubby cheeks, his little double chin, and my dad wore a hat like all the time. It looks like the bill of his hat and his lips are just touching hers so perfectly,” she told Fox5.

Shantel’s dad died of heart attack back in 2016, but she’s now certain that even though he’s no longer around, he watches over them from Heaven.

Asked if she’s convinced the person appearing on the ultrasound is her father, this mom said, “I can’t really think of it as any other way, if you knew my dad he loved to be the center of attention. Makes me feel like he is watching over my new daughter. It’s just a beautiful thing.”

Matt Pacenza, a teacher of English who resides in Salt Lake City, Utah, noticed a vanity license plate that he thought was extremely offensive.

People close to the late Princess, among which Diana’s astrologer, Penny Thornton, claim that the problems between Diana and Charles didn’t start when she learned he was having an affair with Camilla, who later became his wife, but way before that.

Royal author Penny Junior also claimed that Charles was aware he wasn’t in love with his future wife, but it was already too late for him to call off the wedding.

The media reported that it was Kate Middleton who told her children about the Queen’s passing before they could hear it from someone else.

When William and Harry met Camilla fro the first time, William reportedly described the meeting as “awkward and tense.”

The relationship between them seemed to be a normal one over the years, but as it turns out, Harry isn’t happy with her receiving the title of Queen Consort.

According to royal expert Angela Levin, Camilla feels the same and she isn’t much interested in a relationship with Harry either.

Later, she attended Barnard College and pursued a career as a stockbroker at an all-male firm.

Under King Charles’ supervision, “the same thing is now happening with Harry and Meghan, and it will only intensify over the coming years.”

“She was sweating, crying, eyes rolling back,” he told CBS New York.

Baby Eliza was born in 2005, and the news of her birth spread worldwide.

Adriana is a great mother and Eliza loves her to the moon and back. Although many call her granny, Eliza doesn’t bother her mother is older than her friends’ mothers.
