In a world that is crowded and fast-pacing, visually impaired people experience hardship with mobility. Luckily, thanks to the technological advancement, these people’s lives are significantly enhanced.
Now, except for a cane or a service dog that helps them navigate around, visually impaired people can use newest high-tech option provided to them by Austrian based company named Tech-Innovation.
This company has created shoes with a built-in sensor that alerts visually impaired people, via vibration or sound, when an obstacle is detected.
The product, named InnoMake, have the sensors react when an obstacle is detected at the maximum distance of four meters and minimum distance of half a meter. The sensor fits into a special slot within the shoes and comes with a rechargeable battery which lasts up to a week before it need to be recharged. It only takes three hours for the battery to get fully charged.
The shoes and the sensor come with an app which is free of charge. The users can adjust plenty of settings through it, such as how far away from objects they need to be before they get alerted.
If you wonder what happens when the weather is rainy or snowing, the creators thought of it and made the sensor water-resistant. If users opt to use the intelligent mode, the sensor would get deactivated whenever they are seated and would again activate when it senses movement.
There are several shops around Austria which let users try the shoes on before they buy them.
This innovation truly is a life-changing one.

Actor Paul Hogan, who gained a celeb status thanks to the comedy Crocodile Dundee for which he wrote the screenplay and played the main character, has opened up of his health struggles.
The native Australian, now 83, appeared on the Australian TV program A Current Affair and shared with his fans that he has been diagnosed with an inflammatory condition known as retroperitoneal fibrosis in which abnormal formation of fiber-like tissue (fibrosis) occurs behind the membrane that lines the cavity of the abdomen.

In Hogan’s case, the growth on his abdominal aorta pressed on his kidney and caused him troubles.
“I had a kidney complaint and the treatment was worse than the disease and it sort of shriveled me,” Hogan told Sunrise in an interview on Tuesday, November 22. “But my strength is back,” he added after he confessed that he lost his body fat and his muscles became “thinner and thinner.”
“The muscles all shrank and the strength has come back, but it left me feeble,” Hogan told host Tracy Grimshaw. “I’m now in the business of trying to put a bit of fat on… because you feel the cold too much when you’ve got no body fat,” he added.
Being in his 80s, Hogan says he’s past his famous physique of his younger years and he now even experiences difficulties opening a jar and is “held together by string.”
“Turning 80 is not for sissies because things start to fall apart,” the actor said.
#EXCLUSIVE: Paul Hogan opens up about health struggles.
The problem Hoges referred to is a condition called retro peritoneal fibrosis, a benign growth that in his case had wrapped around the abdominal aorta which pressed on his kidney.
Further, he confessed that his health condition makes him homesick and he feels like returning to his native Australia.
“I’m not in the place I’m meant to be, but I’m not allowed to complain about anything,” he said.
“I’ve had such a gifted life. I’ve had so many wonderful things happen to me without deserving them so I shouldn’t complain but, yeah, ideally I’d rather be back in Sydney because I miss the rest of my family there.”

Hogan is a Golden Globe recipient.
He has only been married once to actress Linda Kozlowski who co-starred alongside him in Crocodile Dundee. The couple divorced in 2014 and they share a son together.
Linda moved on to marry Moulay Hafid Baba, a tour guide she met during a trip to Morocco. The two are now co-owners of a Marrakesh-based luxury travelling business, Dream My Destiny.
Speaking of the divorce, Hogan said, “She got sick of living in the shadow. She was ‘Crocodile Dundee’s wife’ and not herself.”
We wish Paul Hogan only the best life brings and we hope he gets better as soon as possible.

“Our little man, Leo, has a disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta… brittle bone disease,” his grandmother told Love What Matters.
Days after he was welcomed into the world, Leo’s mom and dad started preparing for his funeral, but then they decided not to do that and act as if doctors were wrong.

”But then we decided to do our best to plan as though the doctors were wrong. Talk amongst ourselves about what life with Leo might be like. We spent the next 4 months in this manner,” Leo’s grandma said.
As Leo was born shortly before Christmas, the family made many preparations as they believed it would be the baby boy’s first and last Christmas. Luckily, they were wrong.

“… [A]t this time the doctors still all agree Leo would not live beyond a week, and that week would be one of pain,” his grandma wrote.
Although he was born weighing 5 pounds, 11 ounces, he proved to be the biggest fighter there is.

“Crying, alive, and doing it on his own! The doctors were wrong,” wrote his grandmother. “Was he perfect? No, he was perfectly imperfect, and he was HERE. Alive, and a fighter. That day, Leo began to show the world that he would write his own book.
“Today, 6 months later, Leo is still holding the pen…” the family said at the time Leo turned 6 months old.
Right after his birth, Leo spent 6 days at Stallman NICU before he was transferred to the Children’s NICU where he stayed for 8 days before he was released from hospital.

“We were asked about moments that stand out to us, and to be honest, I can’t think of just a few things that stand out,” “He is an amazingly happy spirit and we see him touch and inspire people everywhere he goes. His family, most of all.”
Although there have been many ups and downs, the family is grateful for each moment they get to spend with Leo.
Le is now the best big brother anyone could wish for and he continues to beat the odds with each passing day.

The wedding day is the day most girls dream of their entire life. On that special day, everything needs to be picture perfect, including the wedding gown, the matching bridesmaids dresses, and a photographer that’s sure to capture images worthy of the greatest Instagram captions.
Now when it comes to the wedding gown, most brides-to-be have an idea of what it needs to look like, and a young woman named Allie Livingwater wasn’t an exception.
Ever since she and her loved one talked about getting married, Allie knew what her wedding gown would be like because she has seen it before, it was her grandmother’s wedding.
She and her grandma have been very close. In fact, when her grandfather died, before Allie was even born, the family moved in with the grandmother so that she wouldn’t live alone.
Wearing her loving grandma’s wedding dress wasn’t just a gesture honoring the elderly lady who meant the world to Ally, but a way for this bride to feel closer to her late grandfather.
The grandma kept her dressed stored in a garbage bag because she never thought someone else would ever wear it. So when she saw her granddaughter, she was overwhelmed with emotions and couldn’t contain her tears of joy from running down her face.
Allie even posted side by side photos of herself and her beloved grandma on their wedding days.

The first thing that comes to mind when it comes to the British royalty is the word tradition. No matter how much time passes by, there are some things that never change within the monarchy, and one of them is how they celebrate Christmas.
Sadly, this year would be the first without Queen Elizabeth hosting the traditional dinner at the Sandringham House Estate in Norfolk.
Instead, it would be King Charles whose speech the nation would be looking forward to, as they did with his late mother.

Late Queen Elizabeth wanted to keep things simple, and contrary to the belief that the estate was overly decorated for the holiday season, that wasn’t the case. Instead, the Queen used to place several Christmas trees around the house at Sandringham, most of which were real, and a big artificial one in the center of the living room which she had owned for over 30 years.
“The Queen is not lavish, so the décor is minimal,” the Queen’s former chef, Darren McGrady, told Good Housekeeping in 2016.
“The royal family has a large Christmas tree and a large silver artificial tree in the dining room, which is about 30 years old.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales love spending Christmas with the family and they believe it is important that their children experience the holiday magic in a way all of their school pals do, by gathering together, having dinner, and exchanging Christmas gifts.
This year, however, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and the youngest child of William and Kate won’t be spending the entire holiday season with their grandpa, the King.
According to royal expert Jeremy Archer, William and Kate are looking to stay at Sandringham for Christmas but then travel to Berkshire to spend New Year’s Eve with Kate’s parents.
“It is going to be different, but Christmas at Sandringham works well for the family,” Archer told OK!.
“Unlike Windsor and Buckingham Palace, it’s a sporting venue and fits in well with their traditional Boxing Day shoot. In addition, the Prince of Wales has his house, Anmer Hall, quite close by, so it wouldn’t inconvenience him and Kate.”

Jennie Bond, another royal expert, believes that William and Kate will leave the estate after the significant Christmas celebration would be over.
“The younger generation might want to do their own thing for at least part of the time,” she said. “So they may just have Christmas lunch [at Sandringham].
“I think the King’s Christmas plans might be up in the air a bit. The younger royals will probably want to spend time with their own families, so I think the two or three-day celebrations of the past may, indeed, be a thing of the past. While I imagine there will be a gathering at Sandringham, whether it will be quite as extended as it used to be with the Queen and with quite as many people, I’m not sure.”

In a 2019 podcast interview, Mike Tindall, the husband of King Charles’ niece Zara spoke how the sitting for the Christmas dinner is arranged. Among the rest, he explained that the children don’t eat on the same table with the grownups. In fact, they are not even in the same room but have their own Christmas meal, and that means George, Charlotte, and even Louis won’t be having their dinner with their mom and dad.
They will, however, spend time with their cousins and younger relatives, including Tindall’s children, Mia, Lena, and Lucas.
We wish the royals a very Merry Christmas.

With their new titles, those of Prince and Princess of Wales, bigger responsibilities came for William and Kate.
The couple have their hands full, especially around the Christmas holidays when the entire family gathers together, this year for the first time ever with King Charles as the host of the celebration.
Today, William and Kate share three beautiful children together and their love story dates back to when they were both students at the prestigious University of St. Andrews in Scotland.

Speaking of the time the two met for the first time through mutual friends, Kate recalled: “I actually went bright red when I met you and scuttled off feeling very shy about meeting you.
“William wasn’t there for quite a bit of the time initially, he wasn’t there from Fresher’s Week, so it did take a bit of time for us to get to know each other.”
According to the documentary The Day Will and Kate Got Married which aired in April 2021, the two were just good friends at the beginning but one night changed it all. During a student fashion show, Kate wore a sheer dress that wooed the Prince, and the rest is history.
“A switch had been flicked, he suddenly saw her in a different light, and I really believe that was the turning point in their relationship,” Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent, Katie Nicholl, said in the documentary.

A reported by The Telegraph, Prince William said: “We were friends for over a year first and it just sort of blossomed from then on. We just spent more time with each other and had a good giggle, and realized we shared the same interests.”
As they started dating, all eyes were on them, but then in 2007, they suddenly split.

There were plenty of rumors surrounding the reason for their breakup, with some claiming how Camilla believed Kate wasn’t suitable for William because despite their wealth, Kate’s parents were commoners.
Fast forward, the two reunited and married and are still together.

Before meeting Kate, William dated someone else, a girl named Rose Farquhar. The two were a thing while at Eton College, after which they both went separate ways. Rose’s father, Captain Ian Farquhar, was close with the royals and served as one of the Queen Mother’s assistants.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl described William and Rose’s relationship as “an innocent, tender romance.”
This Saturday, William was invited to Rose’s wedding which he gladly attended.
According to People, William wore a tuxedo to the wedding and kept a low profile.
“It was a magical winter wedding in the snow,” the source said. “The bride and groom left in a tunnel of guests with sparklers in the dark before leaving in the back of a vintage Land Rover. The Cotswolds are so beautiful in the snow!”

Rose works with development at Belvoir Castle and has pursued a music career. She appeared on The Sound of Music and The Voice.
“I have sung since I was a little girl, singing really makes me tick,” she told Mirror.
William attended the wedding without Kate and a source shared that he met Rupert Finch there, his wife’s ex-boyfriend who she dated before meeting William.

Actress Tori Spelling, 49, has been admitted to hospital due to high blood pressure and crazy dizziness, as well as being low on oxygen and having difficulties breathing. She posted an Instagram photo of herself at a hospital bed holding up a peace sign.
She revealed that doctors are running a bunch of tests and that she hopes she gets home on time for Christmas to be with her family.
As it turned out, some accused her of faking being sick, to what the Beverly Hills, 90210 star answered back and wrote, “Here I am in [the] hospital since late last night. To all of you who gas lit me when you were told I [was] too sick to work, well here I am.
“How about next time [you] take someone at face value and show kindness instead of doubtfulness,” she added. “Remember, for people like me, NOT working is a nightmare. I’m a hustler and a workaholic. I always choose work.”
Recently, Tori appeared on Bethenny Frankel’s ReWives podcast and spoke of her beautiful blended family. “It’s currently the Christmas season, and I have seven kids right now,” the actress said. “Because we have his ex’s two kids with us – so one from his past marriage, my stepson, and then her daughter living with us.”
In a recent interview with E! News, Tori said how she wants her breast re-done because her daughter encouraged her to. “I got them when I was really young,” she revealed. “And I didn’t know that at a certain point they would have an expiration. I didn’t know that you would have to do it again.”
As FDA has encouraged women to replace silicone gel-filled implants because they are more likely to “experience local complications,” Tori’s daughter got concerned. “It really hit home for me when my daughter came to me and she’s like, ‘Mom, I’m concerned. You have put this off. You told me for years now that you need to get your boobs redone,’” the actress revealed.
Reality shows gained extreme popularity in recent years and people seem to love them more and more.
American Pickers is one such show. It follows experts Mike and Frank as they scavenge people’s homes, garages, and basements for treasure. However, after over a decade, The History Channel announced that Frank Fritz would be departing from the cast of the show and the reason why is a sad one.
Fritz experienced health issues in recent years following the massive break up with the woman he loved.

He and Diann Bankson met when he was 25 and got involved in an off-and-on relationship. Eventually, in 2017, they got engaged and moved in together a year later at an Iowa farmhouse they bought.
However, by the end of 2018, they started accusing each other of infidelity. She claimed she caught him with another woman, and he said how she was dating someone else for the last two years and a half. Despite that, he wanted to marry her, but the two didn’t reconcile.
“She’s the cheater, that’s why I got a tattoo saying ‘Once a cheater, always a cheater,” Fritz told The Sun. He added that the tattoo was to serve as a reminder to not make “the same mistake again.” He then said that Diann “cost” him a lot of money.

It was then that he started drinking excessively and that took a toll on his health.
In 2020, after a back surgery, Fritz didn’t appear on his show again although he believed he would be given another chance.
At the same time, Diann started dating another man and made sure she posted how much she loved him.
During an occasion, she wrote of her new love, “He took me to see Elton John’s Yellow Brick Road Farewell Tour. I’m a lucky girl. Love you, Babe oxo.”
In July 2022, Fritz suffered a massive stroke. A friend of his found him on the floor and called the emergency.
Once he was released from the hospital, Fritz was sent to a nursing facility and placed under guardianship. It was reported that a friend of his filed a Guardian’s Initial Care Plan for Protected Person on October 18. In part, the court document read, “Because of his stroke, Mr. Fritz’s decision-making capacity is so impaired that he is unable to care for his own safety, or to provide for necessities such as food, shelter, clothing, or medical care without which physical injury or illness may occur. Mr. Fritz’s is unable to make, communicate, or carry out important decisions concerning his own financial affairs.

Charlbi Dean, the South-African star in-the-making best known for her portrayals in Black Lightning and Triangle of Sadness, died in August at the age of 32 in a matter of hours after she complained of feeling unwell.
According to her brother, Alex Jacobs, who spoke to Rolling Stones, his sister asked from her fiancé to take her to the emergency room, but unfortunately, she passed away.
“This happened literally within the span of a day: getting a headache, going to sleep, waking up her boyfriend and saying please take me to the hospital,” Alex explained.
Shutterstock
Now, four months after the devastating tragedy, the New York City medical examiner confirmed Dean’s death was caused by bacterial sepsis, as per Fox News.
The result of the autopsy read that the actress had “bacterial (Capnocytophaga) sepsis complicating asplenia due to remote blunt force trauma of torso.”
One reason she developed this infection in the first place may have something to do with an accident she was involved in some years prior.
When she was 18 years old, Dean was involved in a car crash which left her with a broken back, broken ribs, and a broken wrist. She was forced to undergo a life-threatening surgery during which her spleen was removed. Unfortunately, when a person is left without this organ, there is a small risk that infections may develop.
“[The spleen is] involved in fighting off infections, and that could have had something to do with what happened,” Jacobs said. “Her spleen not being there just added on to the reason why she perhaps couldn’t fight it off.”
Another possible reason how she contracted the bacteria is from dogs’ or cats’ scratches or bites.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “Capnocytophaga germs can spread to people through bites, scratches, or close contact from a dog or cat and may cause illness, including sepsis.
“People with certain health conditions are at greater risk of infection, but anyone could become sick from Capnocytophagabacteria.”
Since the full autopsy has not been provided, it is not certain how Dean contracted the bacteria which claimed her life.
After her death, her fiancé, Luke Valker, shared a video on Instagram which he captioned, “Nothing I write here will ever feel good enough. She’s the best person I’ve ever met and I was the luckiest guy in the world to have spent my days with her. I hope there’s a heaven up there.”
The director of the satirical movie Triangle of Sadness, in which Dean starred alongside Woody Harrelson and Harris Dickinson and managed to shine, Ruben Östlund was in shock when he heard of the star’s passing.
“It is an honour to have gotten to know and work with her,” he wrote on his Instagram.
”Charlbi had a care and sensitivity that lifted her colleagues and the entire film crew. The thought that she will not be by our side in the future makes me very sad.”
The Guardian’s famous film critic, Peter Bradshaw, wrote, “Charlbi Dean was a true star-in-the-making. Her loss is a huge one.”
Dean was very proud of her role in the film which won this year’s top prize at the Cannes Film Festival, the Palme d’Or. She passed away before its premiere.

The newest Netflix docuseries featuring Harry and Meghan caused quite a stir as all the six episodes are now available to stream.
The Sussexes told their side of the story but things have been pretty quiet across the pond as neither Buckingham Palace nor Kensington Palace offered any comments regarding what was said.
One of the things that caught the attention of many concerns sweet Lilibet. Among the rest, Harry and Meghan revealed who their daughter’s godfather is.
Meghan and Harry first met 53-year-old filmmaker Tyler Perry back in 2018 when he sent her a letter of support amid the drama with Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, that preceded the royal wedding.
Back then, photos of him getting ready for the wedding emerged and later it turned out that they were staged as photographers paid him for them. That resulted in a row between the father and the daughter and Thomas didn’t attend the wedding.
While Meghan was going through the ordeal, Perry offered his support and sympathized with her.
Twitter
After they got in touch, Meghan opened up to him of her struggles with the media. “To tell Meghan that I felt her feelings were valid, [that] hurt. I didn’t want to have to say that to her — I didn’t want her to feel that. But I didn’t want to lie to her,” Perry said.
“To use the institution to try and do all the things that a batterer would do — like, ‘Here’s what we’re gonna do: We’re gonna cut off the money, we’re gonna not leave you security, we’re gonna do all those things to make you comply and come back,’” Perry continued, and added that the couple was ‘abused’ by the Palace.
When the Sussexes decided to step down from their royal duties and settle in the States, Perry offered them one of his LA homes.
Tyler Perry offered Prince Harry and Meghan his home and his security for “several months” when they moved to the US. He had never met them before. He is now the godfather to their daughter, Lilibet: “I had to take a minute to take that in. I thought, ‘I’d be absolutely honored'” pic.twitter.com/xdWC9HXzgZ
Being at a place they could call home, even for a while was a bliss for Harry and Meghan. No one knew where they were exactly and they could experience a normal life.
Speaking to Oprah, in the infamous interview during which many allegations were made against the Firm, Meghan said, “We didn’t have a plan. We needed a house and he [Tyler Perry] offered his security as well, so it gave us breathing room to try to figure out what we were going to do.”
Twitter
For everything he did for them, Harry and Meghan honored Perry the best they could, by asking him to be Lili’s godfather.
He was totally surprised by the offer, to say the least.
“I go, ‘Okay, what’s going on?’ They said, ‘Well, we’d like for you to be Lili’s godfather.’ I go, ‘Whoa.’ I had to take a minute to take that in. And I thought, ‘I’d be honored. I’d absolutely be honored,” Perry said in the documentary series.
“I called them back and go, ‘Uh, hold on a second — does this mean we gotta go over [to the U.K.] and do all of that in church with [the royal family] and figure all that out? ‘Cause I don’t wanna do that. ‘Maybe we can do a little private ceremony here [in the U.S.] and let that be that,’” Perry continued.
The episodes of the documentary are available on Netflix.

Back in the day when Bruce Willis and Demi Moore were a thing, all eyes were on them. They were considered one of Hollywood’s most powerful couples and even after their divorce, which took place four years after welcoming their third daughter together, they remained very close friends.
Even today, they never leave each other’s side, although they moved on and married other people. Today, the Die Hard star is married to wife Emma Hemming, with whom he has children, but Moore still spends a bunch of time with Willis, especially after the devastating diagnosis he received some months ago.
Willis’s family announced that he stepped away from the acting career that meant so much to him following the aphasia diagnosis, a condition which affects one’s ability to communicate.
Shutterstock
The statement read, “To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities.”
People close to the family say that they all hope to get as much time with the Pulp Fiction star as they can as his health is deteriorating, according to sources close to the family who also claimed that “Bruce can’t say much, and it doesn’t appear like he understands much of what people say,” so Emma serves as his spokesperson and communicator.
Shutterstock
While their girls were growing up, Willis and Moore did their best to keep them out of the spotlight.
Rumer, the couple’s eldest daughter, once opened about that and said she has been thankful for the protection her parents offered over the years.
“I think at that time I didn’t have as much of an understanding of the public side of it to have that affect me as much,” she told Larry King as an adult.
“I’m so thankful and grateful that my parents made such an effort at that time. They always made an effort to do all of the family events still together and made such an effort to still have our family be as one unit, as opposed to two separate things, which I think really made an impact.”
However, being a daughter of two celebs like Willis and Moore, Rumer became a victim of online bulling by the famous blogger Perez Hilton. He later apologized for his behavior.
“They said I had a huge jaw. They said I had a ′potato head,’” Rumer recalled. “When you’re 14 or 15, I didn’t really understand having value in myself yet. My mind went to, ‘OK, so if I get skinny or if I dress the right way or present myself very hyper-sexually and dress this way, then I’ll be valued.’”
Now, Rumer shared some exciting news that brought positivity in the family especially after Bruce Willis’ diagnosis which left everyone devastated.
Rumer and her boyfriend, Derek Richard Thomas, announced they are expecting their first child, which means that Willis and Moore would become grandparents for the first time.

There is nothing a mother wouldn’t do for her children, and luckily, there are also children out there who are more than lucky to return the favor.
Melanie Shaha,a mom from Gilbert, Arizona, started experiencing dull headaches. As they became more and more frequent, she decided to visit a doctor who determined she had a tumor on the pituitary gland. This gland is small and oval-shaped and is located behind the nose, near the underside of the brain. Its main function is to secrete hormones into the bloodstream which affect other organs and glands such as the thyroid, the reproductive organs, and the adrenal glands.
Melanie undergone a surgery and had the tumor removed.
“I had surgery to remove the tumor and I had a really great outcome,” the mother of six told TODAY Parents.
Sadly, some years later, the tumor returned and Melanie had undergone another surgery. And just when she thought she was finally tumor free, it returned for the third time in 2017 and she was forced to undergo chemo treatments.
“I asked (my doctor), ‘Will I lose my hair?’ and they said ‘No,’” Melanie recalled. “Three months later, I had a big shed and started losing hair. I was surprised.”
“Not having hair, you stick out like a sore thumb and well-meaning people can say things that break your heart,” she added. “I don’t mind being sick but I mind looking sick. I’d rather blend in and not stand out at the store.”
Knowing how much her hair meant to her, Melanie’s son, Matt, made a joke one day saying, “Why don’t I grow out my hair to make a wig for you?” However, that joke turned into something Matt thought about a lot and it turned out to be an awesome idea.
Having graduated from university, he had the freedom to grow his hair as much as he wanted.
As he started growing his hair, his mom would often give him compliments.
“I would tell him, ‘I love your hair’ and he’d say, ‘Coming soon to a head near you!’” she shared.
By March, Matt has grown his hair to 12 inches, enough for a wig to be made for his loving mother.
“We were super pumped and when they started cutting, we bawled,” Melanie said of the day Matt’s coworkers helped him have his hair cut.
Matt then sent his hair to a Newport Beach, California located company called Compassionate Creations which delivered a hand-tied wig to Melanie in June.
“The family was such a joy to work with,” co-founder Veronica Balch told the outlet. “When someone selflessly shaves their head for a family member, it makes what we do even more special.”
What’s most, Melanie loves her wig very much. “The color is spectacular and we had it cut and styled with a hairdresser,” she said. “Matt said it looks great on me.”
This proud mother said she couldn’t have received a better gift from her son. “It sure fills your emotional cup,” she said.
We are so glad there are still children like Matt out there who would go to great lengths for their parents.

Veronica Hamel’s charm and beauty paved her way to a modeling career early in life and that led to an acting career which left her with over 50 acting credits under her belt.
Born in 1943 in Philadelphia, to a father who was a carpenter and a mother who was a housewife, Veronica had a strict Catholic upbringing. “My working-class background made me hungry for things, and more ambitious, possibly because there’s so far to go. You need a great deal of courage. It gives you a certain incentive when you’re brought up in a background where you’re not afforded many luxuries,” Veronica told The Buffalo News in 1982.

When she was 17, this beautiful lady started her modeling career and soon after a role in the 1971 neo-noir crime thriller Klute followed. However, of all the roles she’s ever landed, that of gorgeous and intelligent public defender Joyce Davenport on the classic TV series Hill Street Blues is her most prominent one.
Back then, her character was one of the most fierce female characters on TV, something many men didn’t like her for.
“It took them a while to realize that here is someone you haven’t had to cope with before. That’s what threw everybody off,” Veronica shared with The Buffalo News in 1982.

Comparing herself to the character that marked her career, Veronica said that although they were similar, she was in fact different than Joyce Davenport in some ways.
“How am I different to Joyce? I’m crazier, more emotional – you don’t have to scratch deep to get a reaction from me – I laugh more, I’m sillier,” the actress told The Courier-News in 1983.
During the filming of Hill Street Blues and after the end of the series, Veronica worked on other films and series, among which the CBS drama miniseries Jacqueline Susann’s Valley Of The Dolls, the 1983 made-for-TV film Sessions, the CBS drama miniseries Kane & Abel, the 1988 romantic comedy film A New Life, and Taking Care Of Business, among the rest. She was also part of ABC’s incredibly popular drama Lost from 2003 to 2010.

She was offered the role of Kelly Garrett on Charlie’s Angels but she refused it.
Speaking of that decision, she said, “My business people were in tears, had strokes, convulsion, when I told them I didn’t want to be an angel in 1976.”
Speaking of her acting career, which she retired from in 2010, Veronica said, “I’ve been very fortunate, and I don’t take it for granted. I started working when I was 13. There’s a wonderful tradition in France where you pour a little wine back into the earth. You can’t just be a taker. You have to give something back, or everything just dries up.”

Veronica has only been married once. Her marriage to actor Michael Irving lasted from 1971 to 1981.
At the age of 70, this woman still looks as stunning as ever.

Marcel Amphoux was a man who led quite a quiet life. He was the resident of the stunningly beautiful French village of Puy-Saint-Pierre, a jewel nestled in a valley surrounded by snow-covered peaks in the heart of the Alps.
Marcel lived in a wooden cabin, but over the years, the worth of the several acres of land around the Alps he owned grew plenty, turning him into a millionaire. This, however, hadn’t affected his personality even a bit. He stayed as humble as ever and even built simple chalets and invited some of his family and friends to live there for free.

Many business owners and real estate agencies tried to persuade him to sell his land which was surrounded by exclusive ski centers and luxurious hotels, but he refused each time.
One day, an attractive blonde Parisian named Sandrine Devillard knocked on Marcel’s door. She as well came with an offer for his land, but Marcel said no once again. She then invited him to dinner and the two became a thing.
She was from Paris and he spent his entire life all by himself, living without electricity or running water, so everyone believed she was there for his money. On top of it, she was 21 years his junior.

A year later, the two tied the knot at a wedding ceremony attended by almost every resident of the tiny village.
While she was dressed in an elegant and expensive shiny burgundy dress, Marcel, as always, wore old shabby clothes.
Being convinced that she was a gold digger who married Marcel for his money, his family and friends were against the marriage.
“People were booing and jeering. They all knew Marcel well and considered that Sandrine was solely after his property and money,” villager Jacques told the Daily Express.

What made everyone even more suspicious of Sandrine was that she continued living in Paris while Marcel stayed in his cabin.
“Marcel is a man from the Middle Ages, even prehistoric times,” Sandrine explained. “I am a true Parisian. I still live there. But I visit my husband as often as I can. To see him and to make him smile.”
Around a year after the wedding, Marcel, Sandrine, and two of her friends were involved in a car accident in which Marcel lost his life. Sandrine and her friends survived.

His family believed Marcel was in fact killed but there was no evidence.
Soon after his passing, Sandrine, who believed was the sole heir of her husband’s land and fortune, she demanded from the family members to move out of the cabins Marcel built for them.
However, shortly after, his will emerged. It turned out that Marcel finally decided to listen to his family and friends and left everything to them, leaving his wife with nothing.

As she couldn’t accept the reality, Sandrine accused the heirs of forging Marcel’s signature and took the case to court. However, according to the French newspaper Dici, the court deemed the signature to be authentic in 2016.

With the passing of DJ Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, the world of dance lost a legend.
The saddest part of this loss is the fact that this man who brought laughter and joy wherever he went was suffering in silence and was battling depression. Sadly, not many were aware of his condition as he hid it behind his gorgeously infectious smile.
tWitch’s unrivaled energy and creativity made him a vital part of the dance community and those who knew him will never forget him and his choreography which was known and recognized far and wide.
The famous DJ was part of The Ellen Degeneres Show from 2014 to the show’s conclusion earlier this year and was promoted to co-executive producer in 2020.
Previously, tWitch was a contestant on MTV’s The Wade Robson Project before becoming a runner-up on Star Search. He also took part in So You Think You Can Dance in 2008, ending season 4 as a runner-up and later returning as an All-Star.
According to reports, he checked into a motel just one mile from his Los Angeles-area house on Monday and nothing spoke trouble. Guests at the hotel Oak Tree Inn in Encino, California, where his body was found, said he didn’t look concerned or in distress.
Allegedly, his body was discovered by a motel’s employee after he missed his checkout time at 11 a.m. Investigators believe tWitch was dropped off by an Uber.
The cause of death has officially been ruled out as a suicide, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner.
As reported by TMZ, officers found a left by the late DJ where he wrote of the past challenges he faced. Allegedly, it further read that he could not continue to go on. It is not clear what past challenges Twitch was referring to in the note. No further details have been released.
The news of his passing was shared by his wife, Allison Holker. In a statement for People, she wrote, “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us.
“Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.
“To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honour his memory.”
“We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children. Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”
Rest in peace, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss.

When Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, he was just 29 years old and was at the peak of his acting career. He disclosed his condition with the public in 1998 and semi-retired from acting two years later as his health worsened. It took young Michael a lot of time to accept the reality, but he finally decided to make the best out of his life despite the struggles the disease forced him to face.
Along with his wife, Michael established the Michael J. Fox Foundation whose goal is finding cure for Parkinson’s disease through funded research. The organization is currently the largest non-profit funder of Parkinson’s disease research in the world. His dedication to helping patients with the disease he suffers from himself placed him on the 2007 Time Magazine’s list of 100 people “whose power, talent or moral example is transforming the world.”

Although he continued acting after the diagnosis, his work was mainly focused on lending his voice in films like Stuart Little and Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
The actor has written four books, Lucky Man: A Memoir (2002), Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist (2009), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Future: Twists and Turns and Lessons Learned (2010) and his fourth, No Time Like the Future, released on November 17, 2021.
He recently revealed that his short term memory is shot and he has difficulties remembering the lines.
A few years ago, he experienced yet another health scare when he started falling down for no reason and it appeared he had a problem with his spinal cord and he needed to do something about it.
“I was told it was benign but if it stayed static I would have diminished feeling in my legs and difficulty moving. Then all of a sudden I started falling – a lot. It was getting ridiculous. I was trying to parse what was Parkinson’s and what was the spinal thing. But it came to the point where it was probably necessary to have surgery,” he said as per The New York Times.
Sadly, his problems were far from over. “I did it all,” he said, “and eventually people asked me to do some acting. Last August I was supposed to go to work. I woke up, walked into the kitchen to get breakfast, misstepped and I went down. I fractured the hell out of my arm and I ended up getting 19 pins and a plate. It was such a blow.”

The actor has never let his optimism leave his life. Speaking to AARP he said, “If you can find something to be grateful for, then optimism is sustainable. At 60, I just feel like, in spite of this thing I carry every day, I love my life, I love my wife, I love my kids … Parkinson’s is just this thing that’s attached to my life. It isn’t the driver … I’m really lucky, and I try to spread that luck around.”
During a latest appearance in New York, Michael had troubles walking on stage due to his tremor but the fans kept cheering his name.
Sometimes, however, Michael does receive mean comments from internet trolls. Just recently, he was offended by an internet user and he decided to answer back, but as he wasn’t certain as what to reply, he asked his son Sam, 33, for help. Sam told him to only write “SMH.” When Michael asked what that meant, Sam told him to trust him.
Soon after, the actor received a reply from the mean commenter which read, “That’s the funniest thing I’ve ever read in my life. You’re the king of the internet. I apologize for anything I said to you.”
It was then that Sam explained to Michael that the acronym stood for “shaking my head.”
Sharon Osbourne was reported to have experienced health scare while filming an episode of Night of Terror, although it has initially been reported that she was working on an episode of Ghost Adventures.
According to the Ventura County Fire Department, they responded to an unspecified emergency call at a historic hotel in Santa Paula at around 6:30 p.m.
The reason for Sharon’s hospitalization remains unclear. What we know is that she has been released from the hospital, according to her son Jake’s Instagram post.
“Ok, here is what I’ll say – first things first MY MOTHER WASN’T FILMING AN EPISODE OF @ghostadventures,” he posted on Saturday. “She was filming an episode of Night of Terror with me. Hahaha.”
His post further read, “Now that we have made that clear…She has been given the all clear from her medical team and is now home. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support.
“As to what happened to my mum – I’m gonna leave it to her to share about it when she’s ready.”
Sadly, when it comes to their health, the last couple of years have been quite challenging for the Osbournes.
Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon’s husband, has been experiencing health issues ever since his quad-bike accident in 2003. In 2019, he was forced to undergo a surgery after he experienced yet another life-threatening fall and dislodged metal screws in his spine.
“I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night, lost my balance, and landed flat on my face,” Ozzy explained.
“When I fell to the ground, I noticed a large white flash and said to myself, ‘you’ve finally accomplished it now.’
“I knew it was serious, and I thought I was paralyzed; thus, I remarked very gently to Sharon, ‘Sharon, I can’t move.’ It appears that I’ve broken my neck. Dial 9-1-1 for an ambulance.”
In 2020, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
Recently, he underwent yet another major surgery and photos of him show him walking using a cane.
Speaking of his life in America, the Black Sabbath lead singer said, “It’s a very weird place to live right now.”
The singer told the Observer, “Everything’s f*cking ridiculous there. I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert … it’s f*cking crazy.
“And I don’t want to die in America. I don’t want to be buried in f*cking Forest Lawn. I’m English. I want to be back. But saying that, if my wife said we’ve got to go and live in Timbuktu, I’ll go. But, no, it’s just time for me to come home.”
We wish the Osbournes only the best in the years to come and we hope they would be able to overcome every obstacle that comes on their way.

Queen Elizabeth II’s passing and Charles acceding to the throne marked a new era for Britain.
When the late Queen was crowned some 70 years ago, Charles was just a three-year-old boy, who was totally unaware that the event he attended laid the foundation for him to become King one day.
Now that he became King of England, Charles has his hands full, and along with his, his wife Camilla who will be crowned Queen Consort.
When his mother was crowned in 1954, over 8,000 guests were in attendance at the coronation, and 129 nations were officially represented. King Charles is now allegedly planning to significantly reduce that number on his coronation which is planned to take place next year.

The Palace has confirmed May 6, 2023, to be the date when King Charles’ becomes King of Britain. The coronation, which is given the code-name “Operation Golden Orb,” is set to take place in Westminster Abbey.
The statement regarding this special event Britain hasn’t seen since June 2, 1953, when Queen Elizabeth became the head of monarchy, states that King Charles’ coronation “will reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry.”
Further, the statement reads that “The Coronation is a solemn religious service, together with an occasion for celebration and pageantry.”
It was reported that the initial date of the ceremony was planned to be June 3, a day after what would have marked the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s coronation, but May 6 is as significant, at least for the Sussexes, who celebrate Archie’s birthday on that day.

When it comes to Harry and Meghan, no one knows with certainty whether they will attend the coronation. The rift between them and the royals seems to be getting deeper since the release of their Netflix documentary and the upcoming memoir by Prince Harry titled Spare.
The trailer for the much anticipated documentary featured Meghan Markle and Prince Harry caused quite a stir. At the very beginning, Harry could be heard saying, “No one sees what is happening behind closed doors. I had to do everything I could to protect my family,” while Meghan, who was showed wiping tears at one particular moment, says, “When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”
Now that the episodes aired, the members of the Firm haven’t issued any comments but royal insiders claim they are not happy.
One person that is believed to be doing everything in their power to smooth things down is Camilla.

Last week, she and the King took a visit of the Welsh town of Wrexham. They greeted the public in the city center, and then Charles felt like it was time to go but Camilla was still preoccupied talking to someone else further down the street. Charles apparently got frustrated and asked from his aids to tell Camilla to hurry up.
“Can we try and get her back again? Please, we need to go. I was trying to wait for her, but she goes on,” King Charles said, obviously perturbed.
Judi James, a body language expert, shared her thoughts on Charles’ behavior with Daily Express.
She believes that Charles not only showed off his temper, but also his disloyalty towards his wife.
Youtube/realroyalty
“There are no signs of good humour here, just a man pleading to his entourage to get him out of his situation and on to his next booking,” she said.
“I know people are creating empathetic links by saying this is a common theme between husbands and wives and that it makes Charles seem more human, but his wife is the new Queen and he is making a very public scene about her that lowers her status.”
She then went on to add, “It might be understandable that Charles is under a lot of pressure recently, but his mother provided the perfect role model when it came to carrying on with the job without complaining or showing any signs of disloyalty to her nearest and dearest. To speak of his key supporter and fan in this way is ungracious and unkind.”

“Charles really should have popped back to speak to her in person rather than sounding irritated to other people, or maybe grinned fondly to register ongoing affection,” James said.

Depression is a silent killer. Many people who experience it suffer in silence before deciding that can’t put up with that feeling any longer.
The tragic passing of the well-known DJ Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, 40, who was part of The Ellen DeGeneres Show from 2014 to the show’s conclusion earlier this year, is yet another example that we should pay close attention to those around us and help them fight depression before it becomes too late.
tWitch’s death was ruled as a suicide and many of his family and friends can’t believe that someone who produced such joyful music could be experiencing so much pain.
One of those people who were left devastated by tWitch’s passing is singer Justin Timberlake who has been the DJ’s friend for almost two decades.
Timberlake expressed his sadness and encouraged everyone to be more caring and look for one another.
tWiche’s loss touched the dance community to the core. He was a vital part of it and his choreography and dance routines have been known worldwide.
Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss was loved by many and he brought joy wherever he went.
Jojo Siwa, co-judge on So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD) tWitch was a part of, posted a touching tribute to his pal.
“My heart has been shattered into a million pieces. Twitch was a wonderful mentor to me and many others in our SYTYCD family. He brought so much love and light into my life, and I will never forget that.
“He was like a wonderful older brother to me, always encouraging, teaching, giving sound advice, and making me laugh and smile no matter what. That kind of friendship is unique and unusual. We shall all miss him terribly, but we can take solace knowing that he’s now at a better place.”
“Twitch’s wife and three lovely children have my heartfelt love and prayers. We all appreciate his enormous gift, which he shared with us; it would be wonderful to see him again one day (a joke between us that I would forever treasure). Rest assured, Dad, the world will continue to spin in your absence. You are greatly loved brother. Stephen ‘Twitch’ Boss, may you rest peacefully in heaven.”
Among the others who paid their tribute to the life and work of this incredible man are Cheryl Burke, a Dancing With the Stars pro who thanked tWitch for “always putting a smile on my face, being so enthusiastic and inspirational.”
Channing Tatum posted a photo of himself and tWitch and expressed his love for his late friend, saying it is beyond his intellect and heart to imagine that tWitch is forever gone.
Rest in peace, tWitch, you are dearly missed and loved.

The Italian neghborhood Negrar di Valpolicella, located near Verona, at the northeast of the country, has been hiding a secret, and archaeologists were finally able to discover it.
As a group of architects had been working at this place, they stumbled upon a remarkable discovery. Under the ground, there was an intact Roman mosaic, a pure historical treasure.
This was in fact a part of a previous discovery of a building, and although archaeologists knew it existed, they spent decades looking for it without success.
The mosaic floor is believed to be built back in the 3rd century AD, and professionals are currently working on finding a way to excavate it without damaging it.
The country is now considering making this mosaic available and open for the public in agreement with the owner of the land under which it had been discovered.
“The result will not come soon and significant resources will be needed. But it’s important, finally, to track the road.”
The excavation work on the Roman Villa started some 30 years ago and then stopped before it continued last summer by a team from the Superintendent of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape of Verona.
Sadly, because of the pandemic, the work was forced to be delayed until recently when this mosaic was found.
When archaeologist Myko Clelland tweeted about it and posted photos, his post had gone viral almost overnight.
God knows what other marvelous objects that witness of the life of people inhabiting this world long before we came to it the Earth is hiding.

Overton, Lancashire residents Gary and Angela Williams were walking along Middleton Sands beach close to Morecambe Bay when an unusually large rock caught their attention. Other have probably passed by the object before, but no one believed it was anything special. Luckily, the Williams decided to inspect it and it turned out to be the best decision they’ve ever made.
Looking at the “rock,” and judging from its distinguishing smell which resembled that of rotting fish, the couple knew they stumbled upon fortune.
What they actually found was ambergris, or ‘whale vomit,’ a valuable ingredient in the perfume making industry. Having read about the value these “rocks” can reach, they were aware it was their lucky day.
What in fact is ambergris? “When sperm whales swallow sharp objects – such as the horny beaks of squid, which are their usual food – their intestines secrete a sticky substance that envelops these sharp debris so as not to injure the intestinal mucosa. Over time, these residues agglomerate in the form of lumps of various sizes, which are removed either with feces or regurgitated. Under the influence of the sun and the seawater, this mixture turns into a hard matter, with a specific aromatic smell.”
Gary, who is an engineer, described his and his wife’s find as ‘a bit of a shock’ and added, “It smells too bad though. It’s a very distinctive smell, like a cross between squid and farmyard manure.
“It feels like a rock hard rubber ball. Its texture is like wax, like a candle. When you touch it you get wax sticking to your fingers.”
Gary also said that in case it is sold for a nice amount of money, they would be closer to making their dream of buying a static caravan true.
The value of Garry and Angela’s found, which weighs 1.5 kg, is approximately $70,000.

The tragic passing of the well-known DJ Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, 40, who was part of The Ellen DeGeneres Show from 2014 to the show’s conclusion earlier this year, left many in devastation.
Many celebrities who knew tWitch took to the social media to share their condolences and show love and support to his family, wife Allison Holker and his three children.
His heartbroken mother, Connie Boss Alexander, has spoken for the first time since her son’s death, which was ruled as suicide.
Along with a photo of tWitch as an infant, Connie wrote, “Family and friends, thank you for all the love, prayers, and encouragement. Please know I see all the messages, posts, and the phone calls. I can’t use words right now. Please know I will reach out when I can. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.”
She then addressed her son and wrote, “Stephen Laurel, your mother loves you to eternity and beyond.”
TMZ reported that before taking his own life, the famous DJ checked into a hotel located just a mile away from his home. He was carrying a small bag with him and was supposed to check out the following day, December 13.
Guests at the hotel who ran into him said he was looking perfectly fine and nothing spoke that he was in distress.
According to the police, before they got a call of gun shots and a dead body, tWitch’s wife shared her concerns with a local LAPD precinct and said that her husband left the house leaving his car home, something he had never done before.
