Ice skating has always been a pleasure to watch for me. Looking at the skaters dance to the rhythm in perfect sync and showing mesmerizing choreographic movements shows just what the human body is capable of.
The truth is that as with any other sport out there, ice-skating requires a lot of patience and practice in order to master the moves. That is why many start practicing at young age, just like the adorable 3-year-old girl from this story. It seems like she’s too young to be ice-skating, but she loves it so much that she spends plenty of time doing it.
From what we can see, it looks like that if her parents encourage her to pursue a career as an ice-skater, she could be taking part in the Winter Olympic Games in a couple of years.
In the video below, we see the three-year-old competing for the first time ever, but judging from her confidence, we can easily assume she had done this before.
No stage fright and some super talent are this girl’s way of conquering the hearts of the people who are eagerly waiting to witness her performance.

With Christmas just around the corner, the holiday spirit can be felt in the air.
For Carrie Underwood and her sweet son Isaiah Christmas came early and they wanted to treat fans with an enchanting rendition of one of the season’s favorite songs, The Little Drummer Boy.
This holiday classic, which has its roots in a traditional Czech melody that gained widespread recognition a decade after its initial release, has been covered by many big names in the world of music, including Bing Crosby.
However, Carrie duetting with her 5-year-old son brings a different type of emotion and breaths new life into the famous tune.
Carrie herself admits that this duet brought out “so many emotions.”
“I was in the booth with him, and trying to get him to access all his little 5-year-old emotions, which he can totally do on his own … When I heard the song back with his sweet little voice on it, I was laughing and crying,” Underwood shared with Today. “I’m so proud of him.”
Little Drummer Boy is part of Underwood’s new holiday album, My Gift, and Isaiah’s voice is just the perfect fit. His and his mom’s voice blend in a perfect harmony.
This is the singer’s first ever Christmas album and she’s proud of it. Underwood hopes that her fans will ‘need’ it as much as she needs it.
“I’m so proud of the music that we were able to create, but, also, we were able to create it this year, through all the obstacles,” Underwood shares. “We just want to bring some Christmas joy to people, so I’m super excited.”
In her HBO Special, My Gift: A Christmas Special From Carrie Underwood, the singer explained that having her young son be a part of the album was of great importance to her because “children are truly our greatest gift.”
The proud mom noted that Isaiah’s performance surpassed expectations because not only he did an excellent job but he also bears a striking resemblance to the boy depicted in the song’s narrative.
Underwood’s album is scheduled to be released on December 25. It consists of Christmas classics and original songs by the artist.

When we think of the past, one of the first thoughts that runs through our mind is how people lived without electricity. Nowadays, we can’t even imagine a day without it because all of our appliances and devices run on electricity.
The truth is, however, that most homes don’t have enough power outlets to keep everything running and charged, so most of us rely on power strips without being aware that appliances that consume a lot of energy become dangerous fire hazards when we plug them into a power strip.
Although power strips are the thing to go to when it comes to charging your phone or power an entertainment setup, there are certain devices that should never be plugged into a power strip.
Air conditioners, space heaters, toasters, and other appliances that use high wattage can easily cause power strips to overheat, which can easily lead to a fire hazard.
Even before plugging anything into a power strip consider the ammount of power they support. This is usually listed on the product itself.
High-capacity appliances need to draw a lot of power through an electrical circuit to work. Keep in mind that an appliance does not need to be large in size to draw large amounts of power.
Below is the list of appliances that should never be plugged into a power strip.
1. The oven: Even though the oven is not used continually, it is a power-hungry appliance that should not be plugged into a power strip. In fact, it should be plugged into its own wall outlet on its own circuit.
2. Refrigerator: Refrigerators require a lot of power and frequently cycle on and off which can easily overload a power strip and cause damage. Much like the oven, refrigerators require a wall outlet dedicated solely to powering the appliance.
3. Washing Machine: When turned on, washing machines pull a lot of power. This is the main reason why these appliances shouldn’t share a receptacle with any other appliance or device.
Most washing machines use a max of up to 1400 watts, putting it dangerously close to the max load of most power strips. On top of that while working, washing machines are usually left unattended and work longer hours, at least an hour, which is long enough for a power strip to overheat.
4. Heating: Portable heaters should never be plugged into a power strip because most of them use 1,500 watts of energy on their high setting and they usually run for extended periods of time.
5. Microwave: Since they consume a lot of energy when used, most microwave ovens are plugged into their own receptacle and that is always a good practice.
6. Coffee Maker: Those who own a coffee maker are not fully aware of the power these appliances use, and this is why they should never be plugged into any sort of power strip or extension cord.
7. Toaster: You may think that browning up slices of bread or bagels doesn’t require a lot of energy, but the truth is that toasters use a lot of energy when in use and they should be plugged directly into the receptacle rather than a power strip.
8. Another Power Strip: Power strips are not meant to be used in conjunction with another power strip, although many people do exactly that. This, however, violates most safety codes because it can easily lead to overloading the electrical system.
9. Electronics (Computer, TV, Router): These types of electronic devices don’t necessarily use a lot of power on their own, but they are sensitive to surges and you can find yourself with a burnt out computer or TV very quickly if you plug them into a power strip.
If you want to protect these sensitive devices from power surges, opt for a power strip that functions as a surge protector.

At the beginning of this year, the much-anticipated nonfiction film featuring the life of beloved actor Michael J. Fox premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City. The film, produced by Oscar-winning filmmaker Davis Guggenheim, retells the story of the actor who rose to stardom in the 80s by landing roles in iconic movies such as Back to the Future, and series such as Family Ties.
The film had a special showing at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival in Austin, Texas, and Michael was there accompanied by wife Tracy Pollen. During the Q&A, he opened up about his life with Parkinson’s disease, which he was diagnosed with at the age of just 29.
It was short after he and Tracy got married and had their first child. Tracy never left her husband’s side and is his biggest support. The two are doing their best to cope with Michael’s condition and are working hard on raising funds for finding cure for Parkinson’s disease. He disclosed his condition with the public in 1998 and semi-retired from acting two years later as his health worsened.
It took young Michael a lot of time to accept the reality, but he finally decided to make the best out of his life despite the struggles the disease forced him to face.
“Parkinson’s sucks, but it’s a great life, so thank you for it,” the actor said. “Pity is a benign form of abuse. I can feel sorry for myself, but I don’t have time for that. There is stuff to be learned from this, so let’s do that and move on,” he contined.
“My fans have basically given me my life. I wanted to give these people who have done so much for me my time and gratitude. It was great for me to hear from all of you.”

In the past, the Spin City star spoke of the decision to continue making movies following the diagnosis and said, “I have no regrets. You do what you have to do, but you do not want to kill yourself. And that’s when I stopped.”
Along with his wife, Michael established the Michael J. Fox Foundation whose goal is finding cure for Parkinson’s disease through funded research. The organization is currently the largest non-profit founder of Parkinson’s disease research in the world. His dedication to helping patients with the disease he suffers from himself placed him on the 2007 Time Magazine’s list of 100 people “whose power, talent or moral example is transforming the world.”
Although he continued acting after the diagnosis, his work was mainly focused on lending his voice in films like Stuart Little and Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
The actor has written four books, Lucky Man: A Memoir (2002), Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist (2009), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Future: Twists and Turns and Lessons Learned (2010) and his fourth, No Time Like the Future, released on November 17, 2021.
Recently, he opened up about his life yet again and explained that despite his efforts to project positivity about his disease, things are getting harder.
“I’m not gonna lie. It’s gettin’ hard, it’s gettin’ harder. It’s gettin’ tougher,” Fox told CBS Sunday Morning anchor Jane Pauley.
“Every day it’s tougher. But, but, that’s, that’s the way it is. I mean, you know, who do I see about that?”
He also spoke about the spinal cord surgery he was forced to undergo.
“[I] broke this arm, and I broke this arm, I broke this elbow. I broke my face. I broke my hand,” Fox told Pauley.
“You don’t die from Parkinson’s. You die with Parkinson’s,” Fox concluded. “I’ve been thinking about the mortality of it. … I’m not gonna be 80. I’m not gonna be 80.”
“I’m in intense pain. Each tremor is like a seismic jolt,” the actor shared.
“It’s not so much pain from the movement, but from the not moving. It’s when you freeze, and in that freezing that not-movement becomes infused with all this energy and it becomes this burning, impending thing that never happens.
“I don’t want to get the violins out. I’ve broken my hand, my elbow, my humerus, my other humerus, my shoulder, my face and some other s— too. And all that stuff is amplified by the electricity of the tremors. So, yes, it hurts a lot. But what you learn is that nobody gives a s—. It’s just life. It doesn’t matter. You suck it up and you move on. And there might be a story to tell in it. But only that. There’s no chit that you can present to a window for a refund.”
Despite everything that is going on in his life, he promised his fans he’s not going anywhere.
“The depression is [not] so deep that I’m going to injure myself … it always comes back to a place where I go, ‘Well, there’s more to celebrate in my life than there is to mourn.’ The pain speaks for itself. You either tolerate it or you don’t. And I’m not going anywhere.”
Michael J. Fox is an incredible actor and individual, we only wish him the best in the years to come.

Simone Biles is a remarkable athlete who won 7 Olympic medals across two Olympic Games.
Being part of the Tokyo Olympics was just another gem in her career’s crown of glory. This time, with her decision to withdraw from the competition, she became sort of a spokesperson for the importance of the mental health. “It’s been a long week. It’s been a long Olympic process. It’s been a long year. Just a lot of different variables and I think we’re just a little bit too stressed out, but we should be out here having fun and sometimes that’s not the case,” she said after announcing her withdrawal, as per USA Today.
Biles’ life hasn’t always been easy. As a young child, she and her sisters were part of the foster system before their grandparents could adopt them. Her grandmother Nellie, whom the star calls ‘mom,’ has always been very supportive of Biles’ dreams. “She encourages me and never lets me feel down about something for too long,” Biles told CNN.

In her Facebook series Simone vs. Herself, she spoke of the time she and her siblings were taken from their mother and then given to their grandparents.
“I don’t remember a lot about foster care, but I definitely knew that we had been taken from our biological mom and then you just think you’re going to go back to her,” she wrote. “[Me and my siblings] were very fortunate that we actually got to stay with our siblings because a lot of the time you either get regrouped from home to home to home or you and your siblings get split up.”
Biles fell in love with gymnastics “by accident,” or better said after a serendipitous encounter with the equipment used in the sport that would help her reach for the stars. Namely, as part of the daycare program she attended when she was just 6, they were supposed to go on a trip to a farm, but after the weather went bad, they were taken to a tumbling gym instead.
Recently, USA Gymnastics announced that Biles is ready to return to gymnastics. She is scheduled to compete at the 2023 US Classic in August, and fans are looking forward to see her compete again.
In April and May 2023, Biles wed NFL player Jonathan Owens in two separate ceremonies. They had a simple civil wedding in the US and the following month they flew to Cabo, San Lucas. They wed with their closest family and friends in attendance.
Following the wedding, the couple moved into their Houston home of modern, minimalist looks. The house, which Biles both back in 2019 for $2 million features a modest black-and-white interior, a modest-sized kitchen, a spacious and homey living room, a gorgeous L-shaped pool, and a backyard table set featuring swings as its chairs.
This however, isn’t what her parents would choose because the home resembles ‘an LA home but in Houston.’ According to the athlete, whenever her parents visit, they tell their daughter it’s not the type of home they would choose. But then Biles reminds them that she loves how her house looks like.
Late Steve Irwin’s children, Bindi and Robert, followed into their father’s footsteps and although many say they have big shoes to fill, they are both doing extraordinary job keeping their dad’s legacy alive.
The love they feel for the animals is enormous and their efforts to preserve different species is effortless.
Steve Irwin, TheCrocodile Hunter star and one of the most famous conservationists and wildlife experts died aged 44 in what is described a freak accident. He was pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
“…Even if we’d been able to get him into an emergency ward at that moment we probably wouldn’t have been able to save him, because the damage to his heart was massive. As we’re motoring back I’m screaming at one of the other crew in the boat to put their hand over the wound and we’re saying to him things like, ‘Think of your kids, Steve, hang on, hang on.’ He just sort of calmly looked up at me and said, ‘I’m dying.’ And that was the last thing he said,” one of the underwater cameramen tragically recalled.
Today, his wife Terri, and the children run the Australia Zoo.
Recently, Robert uploaded an old footage of his late father’s face being bit by a python snake along with another video of himself being bitten in the same manner by the same kind of snake.
“Déjà vu. Dad and me getting bitten by the same species of snake (carpet python) decades apart,” Robert wrote in the caption for the video. “I found this python on the side of a road, but as you can see, sometimes snake rescues don’t quite go to plan 😂”
Just like his late dad, Robert handled the bites with the same composure.
“I got a little too close, so he gave me a bite. They’ve got extremely sharp teeth like little needles,” he captioned the video.
During the devastating wildfire which struck their homeland, the Irwin family helped save tens of thousands of animals. They save approximately 800 koalas each year. Animals which are one of the most famous species of Australia and which hold a very special place in the hearts of the Irwins. In fact, one of the most famous photos of Steve is the one holding a koala in his arms.
Robert has made many appearances on American TV to promote Australia zoo and the work that he and his family do for wildlife. He resembles his late father in many ways.

Despite the time that has passed since his passing, wife Terri still misses him badly. Although he’s no longer around, she is forever grateful she had her ‘happily ever after’ with him.
“Every day is hard, and after 16 years, the sadness stops being a rock in your heart and starts walking beside you,” she opened up during an emotional interview on the program Anh’s Brush with Fame.
In September, Robert paid tribute to his dad on what was the anniversary of his death as well as Father’s Day in Australia. He made a post and wrote, “It’s Father’s Day today in Australia, and I am sending my love to those who are missing their dad today. I cherish all the good times with my dad and feel grateful to be able to keep his memory and legacy alive ❤️.”

A man shared a story of how he wanted to adopt his young sister following the passing of their parents, but that caused tensions in his relationship with his wife.

“I [28M] have been married to my wife [28f] for 2 years. We do not have kids and we do not plan to. I have a little sister [11f]. Due to the age gap , I am more like another father than a brother.
“My father passed away from pancreatic cancer. There are 2 options for my sister: either I take her in or my uncle [dad’s brother]. So we asked her who she wanted and she chose me. Here is the problem, my wife and I decided that we did not want kids, so she does not want to adopt my sister especially since my uncle can.
“But my sister has no parents now and I want to make sure she is able to recover and be healthy and since she wants to be with me, I will not force her to be with our uncle. This is causing a lot of tension with my wife, things escalated and finally told her I am doing this whether she agrees or not, she can either accept it or we get divorced. We have not talked since then. What I can do in such situation?”
“I talked with my wife again. She still refused as she does not want kids. So we basically decided to go our separate ways. She said you really are choosing your sister over me. I told her I do not want to go into this discussion again but if that what you want to hear then fine. Yes my sister takes the priority now, I am choosing her over you.”
“This was our last conversation. I have been living with my sister for 1 week now. Being a single father-ish brother is definitely challenging but I am really enjoying it.”
“I got separated from my wife. I am taking care of my sister.”

Little Mary Margaret was not the best student in Catholic School, usually she slept through the class.
One day her teacher, a Nun, called on her while she was sleeping.
“Tell me Mary Margaret, who created the universe?”

“God Almighty!” shouted Mary Margaret.
The Nun said, “Very good” and continued teaching her class.

But Mary didn’t stir from her slumber.
Once again, Johnny came to her rescue and stuck Mary Margaret in the rear.

Being exhausted, they prepared to go to sleep. There was a stack of blankets and a sleeping bag on the floor – but only one bed. Being a gentleman, the priest said, “Sister, you sleep on the bed. I’ll sleep on the floor in the sleeping bag.”
Just as he got zipped up in the bag and was beginning to fall asleep, the nun said “Father, I’m cold.”
He unzipped the sleeping bag, got up, got a blanket and put it on her.
Once again, he got into the sleeping bag, zipped it up and started to drift off to sleep when the nun once again said, “Father, I’m still very cold.”
He unzipped the bag, got up again, put another blanket on her and got into the sleeping bag once again. Just as his eyes closed, she said, “Father, I’m sooooo cold.”
This time, he remained there, giving the woman a wink and a smile, then said, “Sister, I have an idea. We’re out here in the wilderness where no one will ever know what happened. Let’s pretend we’re married.”
The nun purred, “Sounds good to me.”
To which the priest yelled out, “Okay then – get up and get your own stupid blanket!”

When a couple divorces and children are involved, things get nasty at times, especially if the parents decide to move on and welcome another partner into their lives. Step-parents and step-children don’t always get along, but there are cases when they create a very strong bond.
A woman shared a story about her 10-year-old daughter Lily and her new husband and explained how this man became a hero in her girl’s life because of his dedication, patience, and love.
“When my daughter, Lily, was about 10, a significant change unfolded in our lives. Tom, my partner, who is not Lily’s biological father, moved into our house. This transition was met with a mix of emotions. Lily, reserved and fiercely independent, was polite to Tom but maintained her distance. There was an unspoken boundary she had drawn, wary of how this change would affect our small, close-knit world,” the woman wrote.
“Six months into our new living arrangement, while I was engulfed in the demands of my job, an unforeseen event happened. One afternoon, as I was at work and they were at home, Lily got her first period. Overwhelmed and unsure, she hesitantly turned to Tom for help, her usual self-reliance wavering in the face of this new experience.”
Tom was confused and became nervous, but he knew he needed to be there for Lily because he was well aware that she was confused as well and needed a parent by her side. It was then that his parental instinct kicked in.
He got himself together and explained to Lily that what she experienced was a natural process and that she needed to stay calm.
Tom came up with the idea to search Google in order to be able to find suitable words to explain everything about women’s period to his step-daughter.
He then stumbled upon an educational video and watched it together with Lily, offering her the space to ask anything she was uncertain of and express her feelings.
As he now knew Lily needed supplies, he went to the store. Once there, he called his wife and asked her what was that he needed to buy.
When he returned home, he gave Lily the supplies he purchased for her and said with a gentle smile, “I might not know everything, but I’m here for you.”
“This gesture of support and understanding from Tom marked the beginning of a transformation in Lily’s perception of him. The barrier she had built began to crumble as she saw her stepdad not just as my partner but as someone who genuinely cared for her well-being,” Lily’s mom wrote.
“When I returned home and learned more about the day, I saw a new bond forming between Lily and Tom. She began to open up to him, trusting him more than before. Tom, too, stepped more confidently into his role as a stepfather, embracing the responsibilities and joys it brought.”
Over time, Lily and Tom’s father-daughter relationship became a solid one. In him, she saw a father figure and someone she could trust and rely on.
That day, a young girl navigated through a new phase of her life with the support of a man she once considered a stranger but now became a pivotal figure in her life. This story is just another example that blended families can be very healthy and beautiful.

With the passing of his wife of 77 years, former president Jimmy Carter suffered a huge loss.
Rosalynn, who had spent most of her life raising awareness about mental health, died November 19 at the age of 96.
The Carter Center reported that Rosalynn battled dementia and that her health deteriorated recently. She died just two days after joining her husband in hospice.

“Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished,” former president Jimmy Carter said in the statement. “She gave me wise guidance and encouragement when I needed it. As long as Rosalynn was in the world, I always knew somebody loved and supported me.”
Truly, Rosalynn was her husband’s greatest support in life, and with her passing, he not only lost his life partner, but his best friend.
The former First Lady was honored by her loved ones and laid to rest on Wednesday in her longtime home of Plains, Georgia. The funeral service was held at Maranatha Baptist Church, where Jimmy Carter and the former first lady worshipped. Earlier tributes were held in nearby Americus and in Atlanta.
The Tuesday memorial was attended by two other presidents and all the living first ladies who joined the extended Carter family before Wednesday’s hometown funeral.
Jimmy Carter made two public appearances as he attended the funeral and the service of his wife. At the Atlanta service, he wore a blanket bearing his and Rosalynn’s faces, and sat in the front row with two of his children on each side. He was in a wheelchair, wearing a suit and a tie.
Jimmy and Rosalynn spent the last days of her life by each other’s side. Jimmy asked his bed to be placed next to hers so that they could talk to one another.
“My father told her he loved her and thanked her for all the wonderful things she had done,” the Carters’ son James E. “Chip” Carter III, who was in his parents’ bedroom with other family members said. “Then he asked us to leave so he could be alone with her.
“I’m sure he prayed,” Chip explained.

Rosalynn, the recipient of a number of honors from organizations like the National Organization of Women and the National Mental Health Association, was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom alongside her husband in 1999. During her husband’s presidency, she broke many barriers and was a great humanitarian.

Baby Kevin wouldn’t fit into standard baby-size clothes nor into a regular baby crib. But what was most important of all was that he was perfectly healthy, and that was all his parents wanted.
His weight was so astounding that he and his family made headlines across the country, and that included a segment on “Saturday Night Live” and a mention on “Good Morning America.”

As expected, Kevin turned into a big teenager. When he reached 12 years of age, his height reached 5 foot 7 as per The New York Post.
By junior high, he stood at 6 foot 5. But he didn’t stop there. On the contrary, he grew even taller in the years to come.
“There isn’t a day that goes by when someone doesn’t ask me how tall I am,” Kevin told the Post.
“I like to joke that I’m 5-foot-21. When people ask if I play basketball, I ask them if they play miniature golf.”

Kevin, who is now 40 years old and is a former military man, is 6 feet 9 inches tall and wears shoes size 17. He’s married and lives with his wife, who’s significantly shorter than him, and their Great Dane.
Being this tall isn’t always easy but it does come with plenty of advantages.
We are certain Kevin is often bothered with questions about his appearance, but we also know that he’s handling that just fine.

Before coming to Washington in 1977, Rosalynn was seen as unassuming and quiet, but she soon turned into an eloquent speaker, campaigner and activist. She was well-known for her efforts on mental health and caregiving and women’s rights.
Rosalynn got the nickname “the Steel Magnolia” because of her influence, loyalty, and compassion. It was reported that while serving as a first lady, White House staffers sometimes sought her approval on initiatives before bringing them up to the president.
Rosalynn and Jimmy were celebrated as the oldest living presidential couple and were married for 77 years. Sadly, Rosalynn passed away on November 19, just two days after entering hospice along with her loving husband.

Just how generous Rosalynn was and how big her heart was speaks one of the decisions she made before her passing. Namely, Rosalynn was insistent that fellow ex-First Lady Melania Trump should attend her funeral, despite the fact that Jimmy didn’t agree with Trump’s administration politics.

As reported by SheKnows, citing the Washington Post, “all former first ladies, including Melania Trump,” having been invited to Rosalynn’s funeral. This was confirmed by Rosalynn’s son who said his mom had been “involved in that decision” though she knew that there were “public disagreements over many issues” between her husband and Melania’s husband.
“My mother was a gracious person, and she would treat everybody with respect, including a former first lady,” Chip said.
Donald Trump confirmed that he and Melania would be attending Rosalynn’s funeral.

The story of this cute family of two started when little Alba, who was just 13 days old back then, was rejected by 20 adoptive families.
The decision made by all these people not to embrace the special little girl turned lucky for the 41-year-old Italian Luca Trapanese.
When he filled in the adoption papers, Luca didn’t really believe the social services would allow him to become the legal father of Alba as in the country where he is from it is not common for single, homosexual man to be granted custody.
But, as all those families didn’t want to adopt a child with Down Syndrome, and Luca was more than happy to have such child in his life, he took Alba in and became her legal daddy.
The moment he welcomed sweet Alba into his life, he became the happiest person on Earth. Speaking of his daughter and his case, he said it was very special because it “destroys stereotypes about fatherhood, religion and family.”
Luka has a heart of gold. He has been part of many social service programs throughout the years and volunteered at various organizations who help people with special needs find their place in the society. Among the rest, he was part of the foundation “A Ruota Libera” which provided assistance for children with Down Syndrome.
This was one of the reasons why Luca wanted to adopt a child with Down Syndrom despite not having a partner.
Finalizing the adoption was a difficult process as adoption agencies prefer “traditional” families over the non-conventional ones.
“For me, a disabled child is not a second choice solution, but a conscious choice with respect to my vocation and my abilities,” Luca said.
There is nothing a parent wouldn’t do for the well-being of their children. The truth is that moms and dads out there sacrifice a lot to help guide their children into becoming respected individuals with good manners. Sadly, children don’t always appreciate these efforts.
A father took to Reddit to ask fellow redditors whether he was harsh with his son after he heard him yelling at his mother for not doing his laundry.
Namely, the boy was 12 years old and expected from his mom to do the laundry and then iron his clothes. When she didn’t manage to, he got angry and started yelling at her.
The dad explained that both he and his wife do chores around the house while both of them have full-time jobs.
The following weekend, the man’s wife went to Mexico with some of her friends and he believed staying alone with the boys was the perfect time to teach his pre-teen a lesson.
Namely, the father told his son that he would be doing his own laundry while the mom was away after teaching him how to do it. On top of it, he told him that he would be responsible for his younger brother, and that included cooking food for him. The 12-year-old was also asked to do chores around the house.
After a day, he started complaining and saying it was all too much for him. It was then when the father reminded him that his mom does that every day while working full time.
However, instead of learning how to appreciate what his mother did, he decided to call his grandma and ask her to take him in for a couple of days because his father was harsh on him and made him do things around the house. The grandma then called the boy’s father and told him that his parenting methods weren’t right and that he shouldn’t have forced the boy to do his own laundry.
The father then reminded his mother, the boy’s grandma, that she used to use even more harsh methods which involved some beating too. It was then that she apologized and promised not to get involved.
So redditors took the father’s side and said he’s methods weren’t harsh at all. Instead, learning how to do his laundry, make his room, and even cook were life lessons that the son needed to learn anyway.
Others, however, said he should have let the boy be boy and enjoy his days without being burdened with household tasks.
“I think you have a deeper issue that you need to work on with your son. I also think if your older son has been exposed to misogynistic attitudes, you should make sure your younger son doesn’t pick up on it, too. They both need to learn that women are partners, not maids, and that they need to pull their weight,” one user commented.
“I do think that you should consider approaching this in a more educational manner than a punitive one, and to treat it as a genuine and earnest learning experience for your son, rather than simply a punishment,” another suggested.

Some of the attendees were stunned to realize just how much their favorite actress has changed over time, but besides that, they all agreed that she still looks as beautiful as ever.

Based on significant number of scientific research, it has been proven how animals have positive influence on young children. Growing up with cats or dogs teaches kids responsibility and kindness. These youngsters learn from very early age that sharing is caring and are a bit more happy than those who don’t own a pet.
But one boy named Joel made a very special friend: a giant manta ray.
Joel enjoys spending time with the fishermen in Valle Gran Rey. In this village in the Canary Islands there is a harbor in which the local people throw bycatch and attract many different sea creatures.
Among all those unusual creatures there is a giant manta ray that gets to greet little Joel every single day.
Luckily, someone took notice of this uncommon friendship and put it on tape.
Joel and the other boy know how to attract their friend by putting their hands in the water, offering food.
The most unusual thing is that the manta ray recognizes Joel and lets him pet it on the nose.
It appears that the giant manta ray’s all time favorite food are the shrimps Joel feeds it with. Some kind fishermen who know of this relationship make sure they leave a box full of shrimps for Joel.
Once the giant creature is full, it gets another pet on its nose and head and then slowly disappears into the deep water.
Unlike stingrays, manta’s do not have a stinger, which means that they cannot kill people and have no way of harming humans.
The video of lovely Joel and his pal was seen more than 50 million times once it was posted on YouTube.
People were staggered by the sight and one even wrote: “My faith in humanity’s restored. These boys have good souls.”
Another commenter loved seeing how respectful Joel was with the manta ray. “This is really amazing. It’s also good to see that the boy knows to respect boundaries and doesn’t go too far (e.g. jumping in with the ray). The ray flapping back to the boy was so fantastic.”
We do see children bonding with animals all the time, but having a manta ray for a friend isn’t something we get to see every day. You really have to see it to believe it!

Stuffed animals are hidden for those with adventurous spirit to find, and this joyous experience is a win-win scenario according to Andie Lunkenheimer, a dedicated patron. “While adults shop, kids embark on an adventure,” she says.
This low-key game of hide-and-seek with all the kids who come in is beyond adorable. Any kid who finds the stuffed animal is given a special treat, like a lollipop, as a prize.
This idea is brilliant because those who are forced to take their kids shopping know how much effort it takes to keep them calm and make them behave.

“Now, I cannot say that there is one in every single store, but in general, stores typically have one,” said Kendra Friend-Daniel, public relations director for Trader Joe’s.
“It’s a way to engage with kids in our store. If they locate the hidden stuffed toy, they just let a Crew Member know and they’ll receive a treat. The type of stuffed toy and treat may vary store to store, but for example, in my local Trader Joe’s there’s a hidden penguin and when my daughters locate it, they receive a lollipop.”
This isn’t the first time for the shops to be doing this. This year, a video of a customer who explains everything you need to know about this game went viral, and many believed this ‘toy-hunting’ thing was just a rumor, but in fact, this practice of hiding stuffed animals around the place is present for over a decade and clearly, kids, as well as parents, can’t get enough.
“If you’ve ever been to a Trader Joe’s before, you know their employees are extremely friendly and they’ve got a lot of healthy products that you just can’t find in other stores,” TikTok user timbosliceoflife12 says in the video. “And hidden within these healthy products you may find a random stuffed animal,” he continued.
The animals vary from one location to other, from majestic eagles, gentle whales, and playful bears to charming ducks, curious turtles, and even elusive lobsters, you name it.
However, not every store participates in this game, so when you visit a Trader Joe’s store, just ask the employees if there are any hidden animals in their store.

For most people, becoming parents is one of the greatest joys in life. Sadly, not everyone succeeds in becoming one because of one reason or another. Sometimes, they simply don’t get lucky enough to find the person they would share that special role with. Other times, no matter how hard they try, couples fail at getting pregnant.
Stephanie, 27, and Graham Freels, 29, got married in 2017 and dreamed of welcoming a child ever since. However, that didn’t came easily to them. Instead, they failed at conceiving and even turned to the doctors for help.
What’s most, Stephanie was forced to undergo a surgery during which a pituitary cyst was removed from her body which made things even harder for this couple as it caused hormonal imbalance.
After years of trying and one disappointment after another, Stephanie turned to God and decided to pray for a miracle.
”For years, we had prayed that God would bless us with children, and now it was finally coming true! I’ve always wanted a large family, but I could have never imagined it would happen all at once,” she said in a statement according to St. Joseph’s.
Just before Christmas Eve, God listened to this woman’s prayers. Stephanie took a pregnancy test and it turned out positive. Needless to say, the couple and their families were over the moon.
”It was a pretty incredible morning for us,” the mother-to-be said.
Stephanie and Graham went to the hospital for additional tests and one of them stood out. The test showed that Stephanie carried multiple babies. Later on, ultrasound showed that they would become parents of quintuplets.
”It was one of the craziest moments of our lives,” Stephanie said and continued: ”We were so excited and confident that God had purposefully entrusted us with these five precious babies. However, we also knew there were serious risks to carrying quintuplets.”
The chances of delivering quintuplets are extremely rare. In 2020, out of over 3.6 million births in the United States, only 29 were quintuplets or higher-order multiples.
No matter how excited the Freels were over the thought of welcoming that many babies, they were well aware that this pregnancy came with risks of complications.
“Right after we learned that we were expecting quintuplets, I hopped on YouTube and started doing some research to find the right doctor and hospital to deliver our babies,” Graham said.
Luckily, they got in touch with Dr. John Elliott, a renowned perinatologist based in Phoenix, specializing in higher-order multiple pregnancies. Without giving it a second thought, they moved places and left Washington for Phoenix. While Graham was able to continue doing his full-time job remotely, Stephanie spent all her time and effort on managing her pregnancy.
The doctors’ plan was Stephanie to carry the babies until week 34, but that wasn’t what happened. Unfortunately, she suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, and she delivered her bundles of joy at week 29 via c-section.
”It was upwards of 20 people in the delivery room because each baby has its own team of nurses, respiratory therapists, and physicians to help transition them after birth,” Andrea Hassler, nursing director at St. Joseph said.
“And then Stephanie had her own team on the obstetrical side as well to ensure that she was safe during the delivery as well.”
Having been born 13 weeks prematurely, babies Adelyn, Eliana, Linnea, Fisher, and Harper Freels, known as the “Freels Five,” had to spend some time at the NICU.
”As expected, they did need some respiratory support in the beginning,” Hassler told Good Morning America.
”And then it was really a focus on being able to have those babies grow outside of mom’s womb up into the healthy babies that you see today.”
The final quintuplet was released from the NICU after 76 days.
“One of the best moments of our NICU journey was being able to hold all five of my babies for the first time,” said Stephanie, adding that she was “so emotional leading up to the moment I could finally hold all of them in my arms after carrying them in my belly.”
“It was a moment I will forever cherish,” she continued. “I am so thankful to the NICU nursing team for giving me this experience.”
“So many people have prayed for us and our family throughout our journey and NICU experience. We are so grateful that so many prayers have been answered and we are looking forward to creating new memories as a family of seven.”
The sweet babies, who were welcomed into the world in June 2023, are all healthy and happy. We wish them long and fulfilling lives.

The Willis family has gone through a lot during these past months, and their struggles are far from over.
Ever since the Die Hard star was diagnosed with a condition that affects one’s ability to communicate, the world fell silent. His family provided him with extreme support and has been updating his fans of Bruce’s condition regularly.
Bruce withdrew from from the spotlight, and later on, he was diagnosed with a more specific condition; frontotemporal dementia.
“Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis,” his daughter Rumer Willis posted on the social media.
“In the spirit of that, we wanted to give you an update about our beloved husband, father and friend since we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing.
“Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD).”

As Bruce’s wife, ex-wife, and his daughters were as well affected by his illness, his daughter Tallulah, whom the actor shares with Demi Moore, is experiencing issues with her mental health and they get worse as her father’s health condition worsens.
Tallulah spoke openly of her anorexia after she was dumped by her fiancè Dillon Buss less than three months after her father’s aphasia diagnosis.
As per reports, Bruce is being aware of his daughter’s suffering.
“Bruce could see her wasting away and it only made his own problems worse,” a source said, as reported by Radar.
“Bruce was shattered when he saw Tallulah’s suffering,” the insider went on.
“It got to the point where the family thought it would be better if they weren’t around each other at all.”

Tallulah has been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder after she checked into an in-patient facility following the breakup.
In the essay she penned for Vogue Magazine, Tallulah explained that her struggles with body dysmorphia began when she started taking medication for ADHD.
“I felt smart for the first time,” Tallulah said of taking her medication, “but I also started to enjoy the appetite-suppressant side effect of the meds. I saw a way to banish the awkward adolescent in favor of a flighty little pixie. And like so many people with eating disorders, my sense of myself went haywire.
“There’s an unhealthy deliciousness at the beginning of losing weight rapidly. People are like, ‘Oh wow!’ And then quickly it turns to, ‘Are you okay?’ My friends and family were terrified, and I dismissed it.”

The 29-year-old added: “By the spring of 2022, I weighed about 84 lbs. I was always freezing. I was calling mobile IV teams to come to my house, and I couldn’t walk in my Los Angeles neighborhood because I was afraid of not having a place to sit down and catch my breath.”
We truly hope Tallulah would be able to overcome her health issues.
