Four teen friends, Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, Wilf Henderson, and Hugo Morris, embarked on a camping trip in Snowdonia, North Wales last weekend. They were looking forward to some fun time together, but their journey ended with a tragedy.
Namely, the boys went on the trip on Sunday morning and were about to return home the following day, but when their families didn’t hear from them for some hours, they got worried and alerted the police.
Soon after, a missing report for the four of them was filed and the authorities began an extensive search in the woods.
Helicopters, members of the Coast Guard, and mountain rescue teams got involved in the search as well.
Forty-eight hours since they were reported missing, authorities found the lifeless bodies of the four teens trapped inside an overturned car partially submerged in water.
“At present, this appears to have been a tragic accident, and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the four young men at this very difficult time,” a member of the police forces said.
The car they boys were travelling with seems to have ridden off the road in a village called Gareg.
Needless to say, their families were heartbroken.
Owen’s mother, Crystal, wrote a heartfelt post on Facebook. “I feel like I’m in a nightmare I wish I could wake up from, but I’m not,” she wrote. She then added that she would be closing her business for a while because she’s not able to do anything work-related when her son is no longer alive and she won’t see him ever again.
According to Crystal, Owen was about to spend the night at a friend’s house and she had no idea the boys went to a camping trip. She added that she would never let him go if she knew what he was planning because of the winter weather.
Henderson’s girlfriend’s mother, Lisa Corfield, spoke of the boys and said, “They are not experienced campers. They have never been there before. [They] were just going for the night, so have a tent and sleeping bags but only the basics.”
She shared a photo of the deceased boy and her daughter on Facebook and described him as a “lovely kind young lad” who treated her daughter like every parent would want their daughter to be treated.
Tributes came pouring in for the families of the boys during these times of grief. The heartbroken families are still trying to figure out what happened and that their boys are not alive.

Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter passed away on Saturday afternoon on November 19. She had joined her husband of 77 years, Jimmy Carter, into hospice just 48 hours prior.
The 96-year-old died at her home in Plains, Georgia at 2:10 p.m. Up until that point, Jimmy stayed by her side.
He asked the rest of the family to leave the room and asked his bed to be placed besides hers so that they could talk. Sadly, by Sunday morning Rosalynn had lost the power of speech. Later that day, her life, which was rich and filled with causes she fought for, came to an end.
Her passing affected the entire nation. “The Steel Magnolia,” as the staff at the White House called her because of her influence, loyalty, and compassion, left a deep mark in the lives of many, but the person who suffered the greatest loss with her passing is her husband who spoke of her as of “my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished.”
The former president only finds a small measure of solace in the fact that he was there with her and for her until the very end. In fact, outliving her was something he desired because he wanted to provide care for her until the very last day, which he eventually did.
According to Chip Carter, Jimmy and Rosalynn’s son, Jimmy had explained to him time and again that he didn’t want to die before his wife of 77 years.
“Dad told me several times over the last nine months that he had always believed he would survive mom and protect her until she died, but that now he wasn’t sure that would happen – and that upset him,” Chip revealed.
“But he stayed alive. We all told him how proud we were of his relationship with her and how he took care of her.”
Jimmy himself went through health struggles, especially during the last decade. He battled cancer, but managed to survive all thanks to the love and support of his family, especially Rosalynn who was there to witness his miraculous recovery.
In February 2023, Jimmy moved into hospice following several brief hospital visits.
His and Rosalynn’s love story is one of the most beautiful the nation has ever witnessed.

Sadly, this incredible lady, who devoted a great part of her life raising awareness about mental illness and helping those who struggled with it, passed away at the age of 96 following a battle with dementia, the Carter Center reported.
Rosalynn and former president Jimmy Carter celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary and held the title of the longest-married presidential couple.
The Carters tied the knot on July 7, 1946, in their hometown of Plains, Georgia, where they celebrated the special milestone.
They were by each other’s side through thick and thin.
“Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished,” former president Jimmy Carter said in the statement. “She gave me wise guidance and encouragement when I needed it. As long as Rosalynn was in the world, I always knew somebody loved and supported me.”
During his presidency from 1977 to 1981, Jimmy Carter told aides, “Rosalynn is my best friend… the perfect extension of me, probably the most influential person in my life.”
Roselynn wasn’t just a First Lady, but she was her husband’s closest advisor and stood by his side supporting every decision he made as a head of the country.
After leaving the White House, the Carters returned to live in their family house in Plains, Georgia. The house, which according to Zillow is valued at $209,996, was built in 1961, when the Carters welcomed their fourth child in their lives and needed a bigger place. The couple always led a quite and a very simple life.
During the past decade, both Rosalynn and Jimmy experienced health scares.
When he turned 90 back in 2015, Jimmy battled life-threatening cancer, but his wife was by his side to witness his miraculous recovery. Rosalynn had undergone a major surgery and had a part of her colon removed when she was 90. Due to her advanced age, the family was told that the procedure would be a risky one, but Jimmy stayed with her at the hospital throughout the night and prayed for her.
In the morning, Rosalynn woke up and Jimmy called his grandson Jason to share with him the great news.
“It was 6 a.m. He said he wanted to go home and spend the rest of his time with her,” Jason Carter tells the Washington Post. “That was the moment he truly retired; he said no more executive meetings at the Carter Center. He just wanted to be with her.”
As their health declined, Rosalynn and Jimmy were each other’s caretakers and depended on each other.

Following her surgery, Jimmy would bring her treats and rub her toes.
“He actually was a very good nurse,” a family friend in Plains, Jill Stuckey, said.
When Jimmy entered hospice in February 2023, he terminated medical treatment at the hospital because his wife found it hard to be separated from him, as reported by the Washington Post.
Towards the end, the couple spent their days in their living room, sharing blueberries in the morning and watching Law and Order at night.
The last time Rosalynn was seen in public was right before Jimmy’s 99th birthday, at the annual Plains Peanut Festival in their hometown. She was together with her husband inside a car and waved to the crowd.
Earlier this year, the Carter family revealed that Rosalynn was diagnosed with dementia. Shortly after, she entered hospice and spent the last days of her life surrounded by family and her loving husband. She barely walked, with a help of a walker, and her health declined significantly.
“They were at peace with what was coming,” said Andrew Young, the former Atlanta mayor and former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations who visited them in their home earlier this year.
“Time just caught up with her,” her niece, Kim Fuller, told the Washington Post. “She was getting more and more weak.”
But no matter how weak and frail they were, Rosalynn and Jimmy never stopped holding hands.
“It’s hard to imagine one without the other,” said Stuckey, who spent many days with the two.
Young recalled his last visit of the Carters’ home and said the three friends prayed together. “They seemed so happy to be with each other,” he said, adding that Rosalynn was quiet, while Jimmy just smiled.
We can’t even imagine how sad and heartbroken Jimmy is now that his wife of 77 years is no longer by his side.

Rosalynn’s family lived next to Jimmy’s and she was a very good friend with his sister. She remembered that Jimmy’s sister had a photo of him on the wall and she fell in love with that photo showing young Jimmy wearing his uniform.
“I didn’t know a single boy I thought I’d want to spend my life with until Jimmy Carter came calling,” Rosalynn explained.
When Jimmy returned to Plains on a break from the Naval Academy, his then-girlfriend was away at a family reunion, so he missed the opportunity to see her.
“I was cruising around with my sister, Ruth, and her boyfriend, just looking for a date, and I picked up Rosalynn in front of the Methodist church,” Jimmy recalled in What Makes a Marriage Last. When he laid eyes on Rosalynn, he immediately knew she was the one.
“I just felt compatible with her. She was beautiful and innocent, and there was a resonance. We rode in the rumble seat of a Ford pickup – Ruth and her boyfriend in the front – and I kissed her on that first date. I remember that vividly.”
“The moon was full in the sky, conversation came easy, and I was in love,” Rosalynn wrote in her memoir First Lady from Plains about their first date.
They started dating but didn’t marry until she turned 18 because she made a promise to her dying father that she won’t marry before finishing school.
During the first years of marriage, the couple constantly moved places because Jimmy was often deployed at different locations. However, Rosalynn didn’t mind that. In fact, she loved being on the move with him and when he made the decision to give up his career in the Navy, she wasn’t glad. “I had been self-sufficient and independent from my mother and Jimmy’s mother,” she told The New York Times.
In the next six years, the couple welcomed three children.
Jack was born in 1947, Chip in 1950, and Jefferey in 1952. Later, in 1967, they welcomed their fourth child and only daughter, Amy Lynn.
Speaking of their long-lasting marriage, it seemed there was a secret behind it which the two shared with the world.
“She’s just as strong, if not stronger than I am. She’s fully equal to me in every way in our relationship, in making business decisions, and she makes most of the decisions about family affairs. And I think it was a struggle for her to achieve this degree of independence and equality in our personal relationship. So, to summarize, years ago, we had a lot of quarrels—none serious, particularly—but now we don’t.”
Being married for so many years must be a challenge, but the Carters did’t see it that way. They had always been by each other’s side; during presidency and while he battled cancer. Revealing the secret to a long and happy marriage, both Rosalynn and Jimmy said that they had never went to bed angry at one another and knew how to enjoy the simple things that many take for granted, like cherishing each other’s company.
“We have grown closer to each other. We’ve learned from each other. And we have learned to accommodate each other’s idiosyncrasies,” Jimmy Carter told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “And we’ve learned how to give each other plenty of space. We can each do our own thing and the other one absent.”

Rosalynn also spoke of her husband with fondness.
“Jimmy is really kind and he will hold out his hand, take my hand when we are walking down the street or sitting in the car. Squeeze my hand. Those kinds of things draw me closer to him,” the former first lady revealed.
“I think our partnership started before (his presidency) when I was keeping books at our farm supply business. It was not too long before I got to know more about the business on paper than he knew about it and I could advise him. For instance, once we started doing peanuts and cotton and we started shelling corn, I realized from the books that we were not making any money. That we were losing money. I could advise him,” Rosalynn Carter added. “So that is how I think our partnership developed. That was the beginning of it.”
The two shared a lot of interests together, like bird watching and helping the community through the organization Habitat for Humanity, which builds homes for people in need.
They also gave each other the space to do the things that fulfill them. “Jimmy and I are always looking for things to do together.” Rosalynn told CBS42. “Each [person] should have some space. That’s really important.”
“We’ve had a kind of policy on which we’ve agreed,” Carter explained during a 2019 press conference. “We give each other plenty of space to do our own things. And we try to find things we like to do together, and we try to concentrate on them. We took up downhill skiing when I was 62 years old. She was 59. We’ve taken up bird-watching and playing tennis and fly-fishing. So we’ve got a lot of common things we do together.
“We try to forgive each other every night for any differences we may have had during the day. We try to read the Bible every day. Most of the time late in the evening,” Jimmy Carter said. “And we try to reconcile and never go to sleep with any lingering argument.”
Both Rosalynn and Jimmy knew that with years, their feelings and love for one another only grew bigger. The only time they remember they got into a fight was when they wrote a book together.
“I know for my sake,” Jimmy said, “it’s been the best thing I’ve ever had happen to me — marrying Rosalynn and living together for so long, growing to know each other more and more intimately every day in married life.
“I’ve been very happy,” he said. “and I love her more now than I did to begin with — which is saying a lot, because I loved her a lot.”
Recently, The Carter Center released a statement that left many devastated. After a few hospital visits, former President Carter has been admitted to hospice.
“After a series of short hospital stays, former US President Jimmy Carter today decided to spend his remaining time at home with his family and receive hospice care instead of additional medical intervention. He has the full supportof his family and his medical team.”
Over the years, he has dealt with several serious health issues, including brain cancer. In 2019, he underwent brain surgery to remove mounting pressure.

Now that Rosalynn passed away, president Carter is heartbroken.
Her son, Chip Carter, said of his mother, “Besides being a loving mother and extraordinary First Lady, my mother was a great humanitarian in her own right. Her life of service and compassion was an example for all Americans. She will be sorely missed not only by our family but by the many people who have better mental health care and access to resources for caregiving today.”

Ever since it was revealed that Bruce Willis suffers from aphasia, a condition which affects one’s ability to communicate, he withdrew from the spotlight. It was announced later on that the Die Hard star suffers from dementia.
“Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis,” his daughter Rumer Willis posted on the social media.
“In the spirit of that, we wanted to give you an update about our beloved husband, father and friend since we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing.
“Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD).”
His wife, who’s he’s caretaker, shared updates on the condition of the actor with the fans and they are getting more and more worried for his state.
Recently, Emma opened up about her husband’s condition and his life during an appearance on the Today show for World Frontotemporal Dementia Awareness Week.
Asked if her husband has been aware of his condition, she said, “It’s hard to know.”
“Dementia is hard. It’s hard on the person diagnosed, it’s also hard on the family. That is no different for Bruce, or myself, or our girls. When they say this is a family disease, it really is,” Emma added.
“I think it was the blessing and the curse, to finally understand what was happening, so I can be into the acceptances of what it is.
“It doesn’t make it any less painful but just being in the acceptance, and being in the know of what is happening to Bruce, makes it a little bit easier.”
Recently, Willis was spotted by the paparazzi during a car ride. What many noticed is that his health condition took a toll on his appearance. The actor doesn’t resemble the person he once was but appears a lot older. It’s obvious that he has lost some weight as well and appears frail.

However, despite the fact that many people love what she does, there are also those who judge her, writing that she’s too old to be an influencer. The reason for this is probably the fact that when we think of influencers, the first thing that comes to mind are young ladies with big lips who promote certain lifestyle or products.

When Ronald Reagan won the elections in 1980, Rosalynn seemed more distraught about it than her husband. It was likely because of the fact that she wasn’t as keen as Jimmy to be returning to Georgia, where the couple spent most of their lives.
“I was hesitant, not at all sure that I could be happy here after the dazzle of the White House and the years of stimulating political battles,” she wrote in her 1984 autobiography, First Lady from Plains. But “we slowly rediscovered the satisfaction of a life we had left long before.”

Rosalynn and Jimmy Carter shared a lot of interests together, like bird watching and helping the community through the organization Habitat for Humanity, which builds homes for people in need. They were heavily involved with other organizations that offered help.
Rosalynn received many awards throughout her life, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom. In September, she and her husband received the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Goalkeepers Lifetime Achievement Award.
Following her passing, tributes and condolences came pouring in.
“Above all, the deep love shared between Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter is the definition of partnership, and their humble leadership is the definition of patriotism,” President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden said in a statement. “She lived her life by her faith.”
“On behalf of a grateful nation, we send our love to President Carter, the entire Carter family, and the countless people across our nation and the world whose lives are better, fuller, and brighter because of the life and legacy of Rosalynn Carter,” the statement continued.

Among those who paid their tributes were Donald and Melania Trump.
In a joint statement, they referred to the former first lady as to a “great humanitarian.”
“Melania and I join all Americans in mourning the loss of Rosalynn Carter,” Donald Trump wrote.
“She was a devoted First Lady, a great humanitarian, a champion for mental health, and a beloved wife to her husband for 77 years, President Carter.”
“Over a life spanning nearly a century, Rosalynn Carter earned the admiration and gratitude of our entire nation,” he added.
Melania Trump released her own statement, saying: “Rosalynn Carter leaves behind a meaningful legacy not only as First Lady but as a wife and mother. We will always remember her servant’s heart and devotion to her husband, family, and country. May she rest in peace.”

No matter how hard they try, parents are often judged for their parenting style, and that makes them question if they are raising their children right.
Between the tantrums, the crying that naturally happens when they test how far they can go, and all the smiles they treat you with, it’s safe to say that bringing children up is one hell of a task that parents sometimes struggle to complete the way they have imagined.
When your child throws a tantrum, it is of great help that those witnessing the stressful moment be understanding instead of judgmental, because you know what they say, “It takes a village to raise a child,” and that’s so true.
A few years ago, one Arby’s in Minnesota caused quite a stir among parents when they placed a sign which limited the sort of children entering the place.
This story was shared by a mom of three named Christine Hemsworth. She explained that she visited her local Arby’s in the town of Elk River in October, 2019, but was shocked to see the sign which read, “Only well behaved Children who can keep their food on their trays and their bottoms on their seats are welcome. If you can’t do this you will be asked to leave.”
Having a two-year-old, she wasn’t happy with what she read. Because let’s be honest, children that age are hard to be forced to be seated for longer periods of time.
Speaking to KARE 11, she explained, “I was like ‘oh gosh.’ I’ve got a two-year-old with me and he doesn’t always keep his fries on the tray or his bottom on the seat. He sometimes stands up.”

Since she had a coupon for a family meal, she decided to have lunch there anyway, although she didn’t feel comfortable at all.
“It was kind of uncomfortable in the restaurant the time we were there,” she explained.
Once home, she decided to share the story about the sign with her Facebook friends, not knowing that it would caught the attention of many more people than those on her friend’s list.
“I’m not a complainer — I’m really not,” she told TODAY. “But this just didn’t sit well with me. The manager could have addressed the message to people individually, not assigned it to the general public.”
Although this happened some years ago, there are still restaurants out there who won’t permit less behave children from dining at their place, so Christine’s story emerges on the Internet every now and then.
Each time, it sparks a debate among social media users, with some saying the restaurant’s decision to place such sign is discriminating, and others claiming it is the parents’ job to to ensure their children are disciplined at all times.
“Too bad,” one wrote. “I hate it when parents cannot control their children. My son is now 30 and has most respect for others because I raised him to be respectful of others.”
“They need a sign that says “only well behaved parents,” another added.
A third stated: “Eating out in nice restaurants is a luxury for most of us these days! If I’m spending that much money, I don’t want to listen to screaming kids!”
Following Christine’s post on social media, Arby’s issued a statement apologizing.
“We recognize the language on this sign was insensitive. We removed it quickly, and have disciplined the manager and team working at the restaurant. It does not reflect our company values and the family-friendly environment we aim to provide in all of our restaurants,” a spokesperson told TODAY.

Dr. Daniel Kenigsberg has been a proud owner of an idyllic landscape of Connecticut’s Sky Top Terrace. His family has owned the land for over thirty decades, but now, without his knowledge, a grandiose $1.5 million mansion is being built on his land.
Namely, Daniel got a call from a friend of his who told him that construction work is on its way on his land. He was surprised to hear that because he hasn’t sold the parcel to anyone.
“I said, ‘I own that and I never sold it’. I was shocked,” he told CT INsider.
Intrigued, he went to see what was going on just to realize that his friend was telling him the truth.
According to official records, the land was sold to 51 Sky Top Partners LLC for $350,000 back in October 2022.
But how can this be possible if he has never even been contacted about selling his land? What unfolded next was a complex series of transactions that baffled even the most seasoned legal minds.
This story, which involves deception and alleged property theft, sounds surreal, but sadly, Daniel fell victim of bizarre scam involving alleged identity theft, forgery, and negligent real estate professionals.
Currently, he’s suing the firm involved in the selling of his land, 51 Sky Top Partners, on nine counts including trespass, statutory theft, and unfair trade practices. The lawsuit seeks to make the sale of the land void. Daniel is also seeking $2 million in damages. He also wants the company involved to remove “any structures and/or materials from the Property and restore the Property to the condition that it was in prior to Defendants’ trespass upon it”.
Once the 4,000-square-foot house was built entirely, it was listed for sale on Coldwell Banker in March for $1,475,000.
“I’m angry that so many people were so negligent that this could have happened,” Daniel told CT Insider. “It’s more than obnoxious — it’s offensive and wrong.”
The lawsuit details a claim that a Daniel Kenigsberg of Johannesburg signed “an obviously forged power-of-attorney to steal real property,” CT Insider said.
According to Fairfield Police lieutenant Michael Paris a criminal probe is underway to determine who received money from the buyers.
“It’s still under investigation as of this point,” said Paris, the department spokesman.
“It’s a bank account transfer.”
51 Sky Top Partners, who bought the property, claim to be victims of the scam too.
A statement on their part read, “We learned to our shock and dismay that Kenigsberg, had not, in fact, sold the property to us. Rather, a third-party had impersonated Kenigsberg and — through the carelessness and neglect of the various real estate professionals involved in the transaction — managed to list, market, and sell the property without anyone ever catching on.”

Many people dream of having the perfect wedding. But the truth is that weddings can be extremely expensive.
One worried father took to the Reddit thread AITA (Am I The A*****e) and asked from fellow users to tell him whether he’s in the wrong for refusing his daughter’s lavish wedding besides making a heartfelt promise to finance the event in the past.
As any parent would do, this father told his daughter that when the time comes, he would not only contribute financially, but he would cover all costs related to her wedding. What he wasn’t aware of was that his daughter’s plans for her happiest day would exceed all of his expectations of what a wedding should cost.
As he described in his post, his daughter, although from New York, wanted to have her wedding in New Zealand. On top of that, she was planning on inviting between 100 and 200 guests. Not only this, it would carry a staggering price tag of $200,000.
This revelation left the father at a crossroad. He did want to make her daughter’s wish for her dream wedding a reality, but he was torn between doing such a thing and what he described as “burning money” and fearing it would alienate family members.

He posted about his dilemma, writing, “My wife feels I should do it because we can afford it, but I find it to be a pointless showing of wealth. Now my daughter is not talking to me, nor is my wife. Which got me thinking should I bite the bullet and essentially burn money, and alienate family members to make my daughter’s dream wedding a reality?”
Redditors were quick to share their opinion, and as expected, most of them believed the father was not the a*****e for refusing to pay for such a wedding.
“If she can’t pay for a destination wedding on her own, then she shouldn’t be having a destination wedding. It seems cruel but it’s true. Not to mention there’s so much more money involved with the flights and the hotels and stuff. Is she going to be paying for her own ticket or are you expected to fork out for them too? And her fiancé’s ticket,” one person wrote.
“Not to mention the fact that she’s thrown a strop and isn’t talking to you tells me she doesn’t deserve it. I’m a believer of we are not entitled to our parents money. I don’t expect any inheritance off of my dad if he ever passes, even though he has a big life insurance. I would rather have my dad than the money,” they continued.

Another redditor proposed a compromise; the father should give his daughter a budget consisting of how much he believes he should pay and everything above that should be covered by the daughter.
“Establish the amount of $$ you are willing to provide and give her the budget. Tell her anything above that is on her and her fiance. Make sure to tell her if that includes travel, etc for the bridal couple and family members. If she wants a blow out wedding, she can pay for it,” they wrote.
The father still hasn’t posted of his final decision, he just added that his daughter is now not talking to him and is calling him names such as jerk.

Being diagnosed with endometriosis, an often painful disorder in which tissue similar to the tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus — the endometrium — grows outside the uterus. Besides being painful, this condition often prevents women who suffer from it to conceive. Sadly, this was the case with Susan, who struggled to get pregnant for many years.
When she shared the news that she was expecting her first child at the age of 39, many were surprised with her “unusual” decision to start her “mommy career” “so late” in life.
Susan, who received an Oscar nomination for Atlantic City in 1980, gave birth to her first child, daughter Eva Amurri, in 1985.
In 1988, after her marriage to Amurri came to an end, she began dating Tim Robbins, an actor who was 12 years her junior. She and Tom welcomed two children together, sons John “Jack” Henry (born in 1989) and Miles Robbins (born in 1992).
“I had my first baby at 39 and my third at 45, and with each child, [people were] like, ’Are you crazy? Don’t!’” Susan once revealed in an interview.
Besides the struggles, Susan never doubted that she would become a mother one day. “It’s not okay to miss out on a part of life because of pain and excessive bleeding,” she said in 2011 at an Endometriosis Foundation of America event.

One of them is Piers Morgan who widely chastised her for her outfit on Twitter in 2016. He especially criticized her for her white suit jacket, which could be undone to show cleavage and a black bra.
“Would Susan Sarandon wear this to a funeral? No. It was thus horribly inappropriate for an In Memoriam tribute,” Morgan tweeted.
In another tweet, he added, “To clarify, I’ve no problem with Susan Sarandon flashing her breasts. Just tacky to do it when fronting ‘In Memoriam’ at awards show.”
Some Tweeter users who agreed with him went so far that they called Susan “unattractive” and a “wretched, old, dried up, nasty nobody.”
She then decided to speak up for herself and her style. ”While I may not be fully versed in every aspect of fashion, I am aware of what personally appeals to me and what captures my interest, which I choose to embrace. I don’t feel the need to constantly conform to popular trends,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in 2019.
Also, she posted an old photo of herself in her underwear, proudly displaying her figure. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words, and Sarandon shut up anyone who was questioning what was ‘appropriate’ for her and what wasn’t.
Susan is not at all concerned when it comes to aging. In an interview, she said, “When your sense of time has an ending and isn’t finite, like how it feels when you’re young.” She added, “When you have an understanding that time is precious—you have a tendency not to waste energy on the small stuff and only to surround yourself with people who are vital, curious, brave, and adventurous.”

Family relations can be complex at times, especially when in-laws get into the picture.
A woman took to Reddit to ask fellow users if she’s in the wrong for canceling Thanksgiving dinner, which she hosted for the last 20 years, because of her brother’s wife’s demands.
Namely, the woman explained that during the last five years, for as long as she had known her sister-in-law Julie, the sister-in-law always had some special wishes regarding the dinner.
“Julie is very big into fad diets (Atkins, keto, South Beach) and every year she sends me a list of foods that she cannot eat and a list of things that she can,” the OP explained.

Being the host and wanting everyone to have a great time and be satisfied with the food, the woman always followed Julie’s wishes, but she somehow always found a way to make things uncomfortable for the rest of the guests, which consisted of family members only.
During the last year’s festivity, Julie got into an argument with her husband, the woman’s brother, because he refused to eat her ketogenic diet food. This made everyone feel bad and the atmosphere felt awkward after that.

This year Julie again sent a list of things she could and she couldn’t eat because she was following a diet that would help her with her fertility as she was trying for a baby through in-vitro fertilization (IVF).
However, OP wasn’t willing to prepare any special meals any longer so she replied to Julie explaining she was making a single meal only.
“I texted her back and told her that this year I was making one meal and one meal only and she could either eat what was being served or bring her own food.”

Somehow, Julie was deeply offended and angry at OP for not considering her request. She even told her husband about it. He called OP and told her she was acting selfishly and that she should agree to prepare a special meal for his wife. As things got heated, the OP’s mother got involved into it as well, as her brother called her and complained about his sister not fulfilling his wife’s wish.
He even reminded OP that his wife prepared special food for her once because of her allergies. In her defense, OP said that her food allergies were life-threatening, and Julie’s diet was her own choice that changed every year. OP’s mother agreed that Julie’s wishes were hard to fulfill because she changed her diet all the time and that in the future, if she wants to be part of any family gathering, she should bring her own food.

Because of all the mess that was created, OP decided to cancel the Thanksgiving dinner. “I am serving (Thanksgiving menu). If they want to come over and eat with us, they are welcome to do so,” she wrote to everyone who was invited.
Some of the family members said the woman shouldn’t have canceled the tradition of hosting Thanksgiving dinner, while others supported her decision.

Former first lady Rosalynn Carter passed away at the age of 96, her family reported. In the statement they issued for the public, they wrote that Rosalynn “died peacefully, with family by her side” at 2:20 p.m. at her Plains, Georgia, home in the country.
The Carter Center reported that Rosalynn battled dementia and that her health deteriorated recently.
“Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished,” former president Jimmy Carter said in the statement. “She gave me wise guidance and encouragement when I needed it. As long as Rosalynn was in the world, I always knew somebody loved and supported me.”
In private conversations, President Carter’s aides would sometimes call her “co-president.”
During his presidency from 1977 to 1981, Jimmy Carter told aides, “Rosalynn is my best friend… the perfect extension of me, probably the most influential person in my life.”
During his presidency, Roselynn wasn’t just a First Lady, but she was her husband’s closest advisor and stood by his side supporting every decision he made as a head of the country.
After leaving the White House, the Carters returned to live in their family house in Plains, Georgia. The house, which according to Zillow is valued at $209,996, was built in 1961, when the Carters welcomed their fourth child in their lives and needed a bigger place. The couple always led a quite and a very simple life.
He never took any advantage of post-presidential popularity and was reported saying: “I don’t see anything wrong with it; I don’t blame other people for doing it. It just never had been my ambition to be rich.”
The Carters had been part of the Habitat for Humanity for many years and helped renovate around 4,300 houses in 14 different countries.
Before coming to Washington in 1977, Rosalynn was seen as unassuming and quiet, but she soon turned into an eloquent speaker, campaigner and activist. She was well-known for her efforts on mental health and caregiving and women’s rights.
“The best thing I ever did was marry Rosalynn,” Carter told the C-SPAN cable TV channel in 2015. “That’s the pinnacle of my life.”
Before Jimmy Carter was elected president in 1976, he was a peanut farmer-turned-governor. Following his election, he and Rosalynn moved to The White House and became a powerful team, with Jimmy referring to her as “an extension of myself” and “my closest adviser.” She wasn’t just a first lady, but someone who was heavily involved in her husband’s work. What’s most, she attended important cabinet meetings and political strategy discussions. According to Jimmy Carter, he shared almost everything with his dear wife, except for the top-secret material.
“I think she understands the consciousness of the American people and their attitudes perhaps better than do I,” he said in a 1978 interview.
Rosalynn got the nickname “the Steel Magnolia” because of her influence, loyalty, and compassion. It was reported that while serving as a first lady, White House staffers sometimes sought her approval on initiatives before bringing them up to the president.
She became interested in mental health during the time her husband ran for a governor in Georgia. “I used to come home and say to Jimmy, ‘Why are people telling me their problems?’ And he said, ‘Because you may be the only person they’ll ever see who may be close to someone who can help them,’” she explained.
When Ronald Reagan won the elections in 1980, Rosalynn seemed more distraught about it than her husband. It was likely because of the fact that she wasn’t as keen as Jimmy to be returning to Georgia, where the couple spent most of their lives.
“I was hesitant, not at all sure that I could be happy here after the dazzle of the White House and the years of stimulating political battles,” she wrote in her 1984 autobiography, First Lady from Plains. But “we slowly rediscovered the satisfaction of a life we had left long before.”
Rosalynn and Jimmy Carter shared a lot of interests together, like bird watching and helping the community through the organization Habitat for Humanity, which builds homes for people in need. They were heavily involved with other organizations that offered help, and that required a lot of traveling.
“I get tired,” she said of her travels. “But something so wonderful always happens. To go to a village where they have Guinea worm and go back a year or two later and there’s no Guinea worm, I mean the people dance and sing — it’s so wonderful.”
The Carters were married for 75 long years, and their life story is one of the most beautiful there are.
Rosalynn’s family lived next to Jimmy’s and she was a very good friend with his sister. She remembers that Jimmy’s sister had a photo of him on the wall and she fell in love with that photo showing young Jimmy wearing his uniform.
During a visit of his hometown from the Naval Academy, Jimmy laid eyes on Rosalynn and immediately knew she was the one. Speaking to People, the former president said: “She was beautiful and innocent, and there was a resonance.” They started dating but didn’t marry until she turned 18 because she made a promise to her dying father that she won’t marry before finishing school.
During the first years of marriage, the couple constantly moved places because Jimmy was often deployed at different locations. However, Rosalynn didn’t mind that. In fact, she loved being on the move with him and when he made the decision to give up his career in the Navy, she wasn’t glad. “I had been self-sufficient and independent from my mother and Jimmy’s mother,” she told The New York Times.
Being married for so many years must be a challenge, but the Carters didn’t see it that way. They had always been by each other’s side; during presidency and while he battled cancer. Speaking of the secret to a long and happy marriage, both Rosalynn and Jimmy said that they had never went to bed angry at one another and knew how to enjoy the simple things that many take for granted, like cherishing each other’s company.
“We’ve just grown closer and closer together,” Jimmy said of his relationship with his wife.
We are so very sorry for former president Carter’s loss.
As of Rosalynn, she will always be remembered as a very special person who had done a lot for the country. May she rest in peace.

Whoopi Goldberg walked off the set of ABC’s The View after a heated debate over the viral video of Miranda Lambert calling out fans at a recent concert.
The comedian and her fellow hosts, Sarah Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin were in the middle of debating the viral moment when Miranda Lambert stopped performing her hit Tin Man mid-song to tell off a group of girls from the audience for taking a selfie while she was performing when Whoopi got up and left.
“They don’t want to be there if they paid money for the tickets, they came to see her. So if she’s singing, at least a little respect so that knowledge you can see her and she can see you too,” Whoopi said.
However, the co-hosts didn’t agree with her point of view.

The tragic and sudden passing of actor Matthew Perry brought sadness all over the world.
The actor was found dead on October 28 in the hot tub of his LA home. Allegedly, he sent his personal assistant to run some errands for him, and when she returned home, she noticed his body under the water. As per reports, Perry died of drowning. The results of the toxicology report authorities asked for are yet to be revealed, but what is known is that there were no illegal drugs found at the scene.
According to Perry’s closest family and friends, at the time of his passing, he was sober.
The star behind the much-loved character of Chandler Bing battled addictions for the most part of his life, but he never stopped trying to get back on track, despite the failures he experienced over and over again.
The relationship Perry shared with his five best friends on screen translated into equally profound friendships off screen.

A friend of hers told Daily Mail, “Nobody shed more tears for Matthew during the darkest points of his struggles with addiction than Jennifer.”

“She knows he wanted to live, which makes his premature death unbelievably cruel. He had so much more to give. She’s absolutely crushed, and it will take her a long time to recover. She will never be convinced she didn’t do everything she could to save him, but she truly did. The world had Matthew Perry for a lot longer than expected thanks to Jen and Courteney Cox helping him through those dark times.”
Sharing her tribute to Perry, Aniston also included a screenshot of a message Perry sent to her just days before his passing in which he told her that making her laugh “made my day.”

Rosie and Ruby Formosa, from Bexleyheath in Kent, were born joined at the abdomen and shared an intestine. This meant that in order to survive, they needed to undergo an emergency surgery. Separating them seemed like an impossible mission, and their parents were told that the chances of the girls’ survival were extremely slim.
The family prayed for a miracle and hoped for the best outcome possible besides the facts that the odds were against them. Luckily, following an extremely complex surgery which was done at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital (Gosh), the sisters were successfully separated.
Speaking of the time they learned the babies she carried were conjoined, the girls’ mother, Angela, said, “At 16 weeks they sent me to King’s College Hospital and it was there that they discovered the connection between the girls.
“It was heartbreaking, really – I was already worried that they were monoamniotic (where twins share an amniotic sac), and conjoined was the worst-case scenario.
“I was really, really, really scared and really upset because at that point I was told that there was a high possibility that the girls wouldn’t survive the pregnancy.”
“And if they did survive the pregnancy they might not survive the birth, then they might not survive surgery. They couldn’t tell what was connecting them.
“I didn’t prepare to bring them home. It wasn’t until they were in hospital and they’d had their operation that my husband started painting the bedroom and getting everything ready for them.”
Four years following the successful surgery, Rosie and Ruby started school. The proud mother said the girls had now met their teacher and were “very excited” to be attending school just like their older sister Lilly.
Despite the parents being overjoyed that their girls started school, they admit the house would be empty without them while they are away.

US comedian and actor Dana Carvey, best known for his work on Saturday Night Live, announced the passing of his eldest son, 32-year-old Dex Carvey.
It has been revealed that Dex, whom his father described as an incredibly talented young man, died of an accidental drug overdose on Thursday.

The news was confirmed by the family.
“Last night we suffered a terrible tragedy. Our beloved son, Dex, died of an accidental drug overdose. He was 32 years old,” the family wrote on X. “Dex packed a lot into those 32 years,” the post said. “He was extremely talented at so many things — music, art, film making, comedy — and pursued all of them passionately.”
His heartbroken family further wrote that Dex Carvey “loved his family, his friends and his girlfriend, Kaylee,” adding that “he was a beautiful person. His handmade birthday cards are a treasure. We will miss him forever.”

According to records, Dex died in his LA home, and the case for his death is still open.
Dana and his wife Paula, who tied the knot in 1983, have another son together, 30-year-old Thomas Carvey.
Dex Carvey followed in his father’s comedic footsteps and even did an opening set for his father’s 2016 Netflix special, Straight White Male.
“To anyone struggling with addiction or who loves someone struggling with addiction, you are in our hearts and prayers,” Dex’s parents added, sharing in short how their late son struggled with addiction himself.
Dana later shared a photograph of himself laughing with his son on Instagram, captioning it: “Dex and me working together. What a joy.”
In the text of another post with a photo of his son smiling, Dana simply wrote, “F*k the tabloids. This is my boy.” This probably referred to the tabloids’ putting focus on Dex’s addictions rather than his vibrant life and many talents.

When it comes to celebrities, one thing is certain, their lives are everything but ordinary, and the life story of living legend Willie Nelson is just the perfect example of that.
This incredible man has been making our lives a bit better since the 60’s when he started writing songs that turned huge hits for famous names like Ray Price, Patsy Cline and Billy Walker. By 1975, Nelson was already a star himself and did what no one has done it before; he created music mixing a variety of styles, including traditional pop, Western swing, jazz, traditional country, cowboy songs, honky tonk, rock & roll, folk, and the blues. The final result was a huge number of fans and everlasting hits.
Nelson was first introduced to music and instruments when was still very young. In fact, he has written his first song at the age of just 7 and by the age of 13, he performed with Bob Wills, the inventor of Western swing music. He and his sister Bobbie, who plays in his band, were raised by their grandparents, Alfred and Nancy Nelson, who both studied music courses. Nelson picked the guitar and never let it go, not even today at the age of 89.
Last May, a member of Nelson’s band was tested positive for COVID-19 and they were forced to cancel their headlining slot at Jazz Fest.
Sadly, Nelson contracted the virus as well, but considering his age, he experienced plenty of difficulties and the road to recovery wasn’t an easy one.
One day, as the band was headed to Nashville, Nelson complained that he experienced troubles breathing. A test confirmed he was positive of the virus so the family returned to Spicewood, Texas, where doctors ran a bunch of tests in order to determine the severity of the country singer’s health condition.
Nelson’s wife, Anne, said that the musician was forced to take medications to help facilitate his breathing.
While fighting the virus, Nelson’s home was turned into a medical facility. Luckily, he started feeling a bit better after taking two weeks from touring.
Nelson later opened up about the virus and said that it took emotional and physical toll on him.
However, he managed to overcome the tough times and got back on touring, making fans from all over the country happy.

The sudden and tragic death of Matthew Perry left millions of fans mourning his loss. Best known for the role of Chandler Bing in Friends, Perry left a huge mark in the world of film.
He was found dead in the hot tub of his LA home on October 28, 2023. Spokesperson of the LA Fire Department reported that first responders arrived at Perry’s home at about 4 p.m. regarding a “water emergency” of an unknown type, but did not name the actor. Sadly, upon arrival, they discovered Perry’s unresponsive body. According to them, there were no drugs of any type at the scene. At the time being, no foul play is suspected.
Over the years, Perry struggled with addictions and he was never afraid to speak publicly of his never ending battles. Prior to his passing, however, people close to him revealed that he was sober.
Besides being a famous name in the film industry, Perry didn’t want that to define him. On the contrary, in his memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, he wrote he wanted to be remembered as someone who was always there to provide help and support to those to battled the same demons as him.
Perry wanted to be a father, but sadly, he never married and didn’t have children.
He was, however, involved in several relationships and was even engaged once.
He once dated Julia Roberts but believed he wasn’t good enough for her.
“Dating Julia Roberts had been too much for me,” Perry wrote in his memoir. “I had been constantly certain that she was going to break up with me — why would she not? I was not enough; I could never be enough; I was broken, bent, unlovable.”
“So instead of facing the inevitable agony of losing her, I broke up with the beautiful and brilliant Julia Roberts,” he continued. “She might have considered herself slumming it with a TV guy, and TV guy was now breaking up with her. I can’t begin to describe the look of confusion on her face.”
In 2020, he got engaged to literary manager Molly Hurwitz, but the two announced their split just a year later.
Following his passing, another actress opened up about the fling she had with Perry during the time he still wasn’t cast for Friends, Gwyneth Paltrow, who took to Instagram to share her tribute.
She wrote, “I met Matthew Perry in 1993 at the Williamstown Theater Festival in Massachusetts. We were both there for most of the summer doing plays. He was so funny and so sweet and so much fun to be with,” along with a photo of Perry from his early days.
“We drove out to swim in creeks, had beers in the local college bar, kissed in a field of long grass. It was a magical summer. He had shot the pilot of Friends but it had not aired yet. He was nervous, hoping his big break was just around the corner. It was,” she continued, adding that the two stayed friends for a while but eventually “drifted apart.”
“I hope Matthew is at peace at long last. I really do,” Gwyneth Paltrow concluded.
Another one of Perry’s exes, Fisher, also dedicated a post to the late actor. In her heartfelt caption, she wrote, “Once upon a time… you were a major part of my younger life…”
Though she wasn’t really an ex, Valerie Bertinelli and Perry shared a moment of intimacy at one point during his life. In his memoir, Perry disclosed: “Valerie and I had a long, elaborate make-out session. It was happening—maybe she felt the same way I did. I told her I had thought about doing that for a long time, and she had said it right back to me.”

At the time Perry’s memoir was released, Valerie responded to Perry’s confession in a TikTok video. “Anyone misbehave in their 20’s and early 30’s? Are you mortified?” she said.
For a great part of 1999, Perry dated an actress called René Ashton. Following Perry’s passing, she posted a never-before seen photos of herself and the late star.

Her post showed an array of private pictures of the two sharing tender moments where they were cuddling, kissing, and enjoying each other’s company. The post was captioned, “More beautiful than an Audrey Hepburn movie you did say…”
Matt LeBlanc has broken his silence over the passing of his castmate and friend Matthew Perry who died October 28.
Perry was struggling with alcohol and drug abuse for many years, but as per those close to him, at the time of his sudden passing, he was sober. The actor, who’s probably best known for the role of witty Chandler Bing in the cult TV show Friends, was found in the hot tub of his LA home.
The exact cause of death is yet to be revealed, but according to the first responders, he died of drowning. No illegal drugs were found at the scene.
Over the course of ten years, the period Friends was being filmed, Perry and the rest of the cast translated the on-screen friendship and chemistry into their private lives. As expected, the rest of the ‘friends’ were completely heartbroken by the loss of Perry, whom they considered family.
Their jointed statement following Perry’s tragic passing said, “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family.
“There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss… For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
As expected, they attended Perry’s funeral. He was laid to rest at Forest Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
“…Matthew was an incredibly gifted actor and an indelible part of the Warner Bros. Television Group family. The impact of his comedic genius was felt around the world, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of so many…,” the statement by the Warner Bros read.

Although he was a huge name in the world of film, Perry wanted to be remembered as someone who never failed to provide help to those who were fighting the same battle as him, that with addiction.
“…the dreams now—the best thing about me, bar none, is if somebody comes up to me and says, ‘I can’t stop drinking, can you help me?’ I can say, ‘Yes.’ And follow up and do it. That’s the best thing. And—I’ve said this for a long time—when I die…I want that to be the first thing that’s mentioned…,” he wrote in his memoir.

According to Perry, the co-stars of Friends were well aware what he was going through because he struggled with addictions while filming some of the seasons, and he credited them for rallying around him in his time of need: “They were understanding, and they were patient…”
One of Perry’s closest friends from the set and out of it was Matt LeBlanc.
Days following his friend’s passing, LeBlanc shared a heartfelt tribute. Fans were overwhelmed with emotions and expressed their sadness over his loss.
The Lovesick star posted five pictures showing different moments shared between him and Perry during their time on Friends. His last picture showed the entire cast sharing a sentimental hug.

“Matthew. It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life,” LeBlanc wrote on Instagram. “It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend,” LeBlanc’s post continued. “I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never. Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love.” In true Joey fashion, LeBlanc ended his message with a joke: “And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.”
Condolences came pouring in, with many writing that the friendship between Perry and LeBlanc was truly genuine.

James Persyn III, who was just 14 years old when he did an amazing deed for a woman in need, was looking after his younger siblings when he heard a loud banging on the front door.
His father left him home with his 11-year-old sister Acelin Persyn and his 2-year-old brother Angus Persyn while he drove to J&M Produce and Nursery, where his fiancée worked, to drive her home.

Recalling that night, which happened back in 2013, James explained that the woman was shouting “Let me in! Let me in!” and was desperate to enter his home.
When James opened the door, she ran inside and he could see that she was severely injured.
The woman was a victim of kidnapping and sexual abuse by an ex-convict, Eric Ramsey. She was so frightened that she went straight to the kitchen and hid.
“She’s like, ‘We gotta hide! There’s someone out there who just kidnapped me and he’s trying to kill me,'” James recalled.
At that moment, James looked outside and noticed a car approaching his house. Recalling his dad’s instructions in a case of emergency, he hid his siblings and the woman in the bathtub of one of the bathrooms which was concealed entirely because of the lack of windows.

James then instructed his sister to call 911 while he grabbed his hunting knife.
The convict got to the house’s door and started banging and threatening to kill everyone if they don’t let him get inside.
In the meantime, James called his father and told him they were in danger. The father was in a frantic rush to ensure the safety of his children.
At this point, Ramsey, who wasn’t let inside, tried setting the house on fire with matches by spreading gasoline around it.

When the father arrived, he noticed flames at the front base of the house but was able to extinguish the fire with his feet and body. He then tried to open the door, but as he was unable to do that, he started breaking the windows in order to get to his children.
At that point, police arrived and believed the father was the intruder, and when the sheriff pointed a gun towards him, he explained that he was the father and he was trying to bring his children to safety.
Realizing the police was there, the children got out of the bathroom.

The officers questioned both the children and the woman after which she was taken to the hospital to receive medical attention.
Speaking of the incident, the children’s father said, “My daughter was quite hysterical. My son, you could tell he was upset and scared but he handled it very well.”
The night was an intensive one, especially because Ramsey was still on the run.
Luckily, the following morning, the family was informed that the ex-convict was tracked down and fatally shot.

When the story of James’ bravery spread around, his classmates and the entire community hailed him a hero, but he said he only did what he believed to be the right thing.
Isabella County also presented lifesaving awards to James and his younger sister Acelin following the traumatic incident. County Sheriff Leo Mioduszewski, who presented the awards, said, “There’s no question in this case that those young children ended up earning that. Without them opening up that door, there’s no way that victim would have survived that night.”

75-year-old Jane Sayner has been residing at St. Albans, Melbourne, Australia, for over twenty years.
Her landlord was multimillionaire John Perrett whom she paid AUD$250 rent a week for a two-bedroom apartment. That was the amount of money she has been paying from the first moment she rented the place.
In September, 2020, Jane’s landlord passed away. There were times when Jane was uncertain of who will inherit the house and who her new landlord would be. At the same time, she feared that the new person could chose to terminate her contract or ask for more money.
However, nothing of that happened. Believe it or not, Jane, as well as another tenant who was renting Perrett’s property for years, got the apartments following his passing. From being a tenant, Jane turned into a property owner and this was something she could not even imagined in her wildest dreams.
Perrett was an elderly gentleman who received a kidney transplant years prior to his passing so a great deal of his enormous fortune went to the Royal Melbourne Hospital’s Nephrology Department, roughly AUD$18.6 million. Additionally, he left the hospital one of his flats which was later sold for AUD$400,000.
This millionaire was never married and didn’t have children. On top of that, he didn’t have any siblings or any closer relatives.
Speaking of the kind act, Jane recalled, “Then one day he just rang me and said, ‘My solicitor’s here, can you please give me your full name, because I’m leaving you your unit.’ I thought I hadn’t heard it right. Surely not. For the whole time I had known him, (leaving all his money to charity) was always what he was going to do.”
Despite being saddened by her landlord’s passing, Jane was relieved she now had her own place.
“I treated this place like it was my own. When I first came here there was no garden out the back. Because I was living here, I planted lots of plants and flowers, which are still here today,” she shared.
Jane was Perrett’s friend and he appreciated the fact that she was his tenant for that many years.
