Funny story: Old man gets revenge on town that cut down his beloved tree

An elderly man from Redondo Beach, California, was in distress and in disbelief when he learned that the tree he planted 30 years ago was about to be cut down.

Knowing how important trees are for the environment, this didn’t sound like a good decision, but despite his pleas, the city council proceeded with the plan to remove it from the sidewalk.

However, the man was determined to get his revenge. He quickly began plotting a plan that will teach the stubborn town mayor a lesson. He came up with the most brilliant idea ever and did something amazing.

After some time, he wrote an open letter to the mayor, revealing his action.

The story, which is believed to be fictional, has spread on the Internet like a wildfire.

Take a look at it below:

Hi,

I’m an arborist. This means I am a professional in the cultivation, management, and study of trees. I love trees. I think they’re some of the most beautiful, majestic, ancient living beings on our planet.

Today I am here to tell you a story of death, new life, and revenge. Three years ago today, the city council of Redondo Beach California ordered the death of my 30-year-old pepper tree.

Its roots had begun to penetrate the pavement in front of my house. The city noticed and issued the death warrant of my tree. They furthermore made me pay for the damages to the sidewalk and for the tree removal.

Pinterest

I loved Clyde. I’m beginning to get older, and planting something that I knew would live well beyond my lifetime was something very special. I took very good care of him. I drained his soil, I gave him a crutch to lean on when he was a young lad, and I watched him grow.

Just as Clyde was becoming a strong healthy individual, expanding his root system, developing a canopy, and making his own way in life, the mayor took it upon himself to uproot my beautiful child.

But Clyde will be avenged…

Mayor Steve Aspel. You killed my child.

For this, you will pay. Two years and seven months ago, I secretly planted 45 California Redwoods and 82 Giant Sequoias in various parks, yards, and state properties around your city.

Pixabay

Today, each of their root systems will be at least 30 feet in diameter, and deeply embedded in the soil. You may have noticed the trees growing in front of city council, or that new one that sprouted up in your backyard. That’s a Giant Sequoia, and its growth will begin accelerating rapidly in the coming months.

You killed Clyde, but I have replaced him with over 100 living giants. And giant they will become. In a few years, they’ll begin breaking heights of 100-300 feet and live well beyond 2,500 years. That’s way longer ago than Jesus was born.

To remove even one of them at this point will cost well over $1500… And I’m stiffing you with the bill, just like you did to me 3 years ago today.”

Good day to you, sir. May your city be overrun by trees. And may Clyde rest in peace.

This man definitely knows that revenge is a dish best served cold.

Do you like his sneaky, yet creative way of getting even with the town’s council that killed his tree? If yes, share it with friends.

Man Waters Wife’s Plants Even After She Passed Away, But He Discovers Something Else

He religiously watered them every single day until..

The death of a beloved family member is truly an unbearable part of life and one of the most difficult experiences which many of us had gone through. The sudden, shocking and bereaved struggle leaves us with many intensely painful emotions, which could range from depression to anger, self-guilt or sadness. Very often, we would feel isolated and alone in our own grief, but having another family member to lean on would be able to help us through the heart wrenching grieving process. As we move on with everyday life, even certain chores are able to remind us of the greatest aspects of our loved ones’ personalities – through a physical memento or purely by memory.

One Twitter user shared her very own story on the social media platform, which has garnered much attention online. A firefighter at the London Fire Brigade, Antonia Nicol had explained that her mother, Phedre Fitton, passed away at age 69 after battling cancer for the past 5 years prior. Before her mother passed on, she told Antonia’s father, who is also her husband, to water the plants located in their bathroom. He kept his word even after her death – until he decides to take them along with him to his new home. However, much to his amusement, they were plastic! The single tweet has since received more than 27,000 retweets and 87,000 likes to date!

“She’d fought cancer for 5 years but it beat her in the end in November 2013. My parents live in South Africa whilst I live here, so it was a very difficult time for us all. When my dad found out that he’d been watering plastic plants for years, it was so funny for all of us and made us feel like she was still with us,” Antonia shared.

She continued: “The response has generally been incredible. My dad has been overwhelmed by the level of interest and so have I. It’s so lovely to hear my friends and family talking and remembering my mum again. She would have loved this so much.
They met when they were 16 years old. They have been together all their lives. They worked together. It was an absolute tragedy that they never got to spend their old age together.”

After sharing her story, many started replying to Antonia, and even her father got wind of his new found Twitter popularity! So much so that he even posed for another photo of himself, watering the plastic plants! This shows how much our loved ones truly mean to us – and they would forever be in our memories, too.

Dad Teaches Stranger A Lesson After Making Rude Comment

Little Emma is facing a cruel battle most of us hope to never deal with. At just six-years-old, she will soon begin her seventh round of chemotherapy because she’s fighting a brain tumor. Fortunately, her family is strong and supportive. Especially her dad, Brent Gehring.

Her Brave Dad Is With Her Every Step Of The Way

Because Emma is so ill, she can’t really walk. It forces her to use a walker. Brent carries her sometimes but it’s not always easy to do so. And it is a trying experience for Emma and her mother as well.

And a thoughtless stranger recently made the situation worse

EmmaStrong is a fitting name for this little girl’s Facebook page. Image by EmmaStrong

Every three months, the Gehrings travel to Boston so that Emma can visit the doctors at the local children’s hospital. Once that’s done, the family loves to have dinner at Union Oyster House. But a callous stranger recently ruined that for them after seeing the little girl’s dad carry her out of the restaurant.

“My daughter and I were leaving dinner the other night at Union Oyster House in Boston, MA,” Brent in a Facebook post that quickly went viral. “A dinner donated to us by an amazing business and friend that has been in our ‘family’ for years. When I crossed the street carrying her, she can’t walk without the use of her walker. A man yelled at me from 30 feet away: ‘What the f@ck?’ he yelled. ‘Make her walk. That is what is wrong with kids today.'”

I get it. I know we judge each other all the time without having the facts. But what this man did is inherently cruel. Who knows what poor little Emma thought when she heard this?

Cute Emma and cute dog. Image by EmmaStrong courtesy of Red Willow Photography/Kelsy Greisen via Facebook

We know what Emma’s dad thought. Brent was angry. This guy was rude enough to curse in front of his daughter and he was criticizing them for something he knew nothing about. Brent had half a mind to cream this guy but he had the presence of mind to realize something positive could come out of this.

He decided to talk to the dude.

“I had a choice to make at that time. Can I make myself feel better by screaming at him or can I teach him something about life? I won’t lie to you and tell you that it was an easy choice but I got inches from his face, with my daughter in my arms, and quietly asked him if he was referring to my daughter,” Brent wrote. “‘Hell yes,’ he said.”

So the man got a few good bruises. On a mental, not physical level. The kind that makes their mark on the psyche. Only this time, in a positive way.

Emma has been through so much but she’s a brave fighter. Image by EmmaStrong via Facebook

Here’s what Emma’s dad told the stranger:

“My daughter has been carrying my faith and my strength for the past 5 years since she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She can’t walk but I am happy to carry her because of all the amazing things she has taught me through the years. So I would advise you not address my daughter in any way other than respectful,” Brent says.

Then the two men had a meaningful discussion that turned insightful. Both were crying at the end. But each learned something about the other.

“This story is only important if it serves as a reminder that you don’t always know the whole story so don’t judge others,” he says.

But this also served as a good lesson for him, because it helped him realize that “good can come from any situation.” More than anything, Brent says he hopes some people will reexamine the way they think.

“This post doesn’t come looking for pity for Emma or my family,” Brent writes. “What I am asking for is a change in today’s world…a change in the way we think. The world is what we as people make it. We have the power to make days better or worse for others. I choose to attempt to make lives better.”

Little Emma has faced some huge battles, but it’s wonderful to see that she has such an excellent father helping her every step of the way.

‘Are You Ready?’: Deaf Toddler Is Introduced to the World of Sound for the First Time

Annie and her parents were excitingly looking forward to the life changing moment that was about to bring the little one into a completely new world, that of sound. This beauty was born deaf and has never, until that magical moment, heard her mommy’s and daddy’s voice.

She knew how much they loved her, because they made sure they sign it to her every single day, but now she could hear them say it.

We’ve learned of Annie’s condition from a YouTube video her father posted back in 2017, in which he and his lovely daughter communicate non-verbally. However, it was finally about to change.

She had just been fitted with a cochlear implant and the doctors were about to activate it. Everyone around is waiting for Annie’s reaction in anticipation. Her life is about to change and we are so happy to be able to witness the sweet moment.

The girl happily signs with her Dad who tells her to get ready for the big moment.

“Are you ready?” Dad says and signs simultaneously.

Annie, her mouth slightly ajar, points her two fingers forward to express she’s ready.

“Annie,” calls out the girl’s mom.

“That’s mamma’s voice,” Dad explains. “Do you hear mamma’s voice?”

“Can you hear mamma?” Mom asks.

“Mom is saying, Annie!” says Dad. “Annie!”

Once she realizes it’s her mom’s voice she hears, she strongly embraces her father and doesn’t want to let go. She is completely surprised and her tiny eyes go wide open.

The doctors know this whole thing can be overwhelming for such a little girl so they take one step at a time. They introduce only beeps at first until she gets used to the sound.

“We noticed throughout the session that Annie kept picking up a today and giving it to Dan whenever she heard a beep.”

The toddler is beyond enthusiastic and her amazingly touching reaction is caught in the video below. Make sure you watch it and share it with friends.

Sassy Little One Chatting With Grandma

Once you meet sweet Livi Grace you will fall in love with her in an instant. She might be the cutest, most adorable two-year-old lady with the most vibrant personality. The amazing thing about Livi is that she is a true warrior who never quits fighting, which makes us adore her even more.

She was diagnosed with a condition called osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), and as a result, she had to undergo numerous surgeries and various medical treatments. Her bones are extremely fragile and prone to breaking.

Recently, a footage of her chatting to her grandma was posted on Facebook, and as you already assume, it stole our hearts.

Facebook/Lindsay Rae Wix

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia explains that OI is a serious disorder that has lasting, lifetime effects on patients. The hospital’s site also tells parents what to look out for when it comes to diagnosising the condition.

” – Bones fracture easily

– Can usually be traced through the family

– Near normal stature or slightly shorter

– Blue sclera (the normally white area of the eye ball)

– Dental problems (brittle teeth)

– Hearing loss beginning in the early 20s and 30s

– Most fractures occur before puberty; occasionally women will have fractures after menopause

– Triangular face

– Tendency toward spinal curvature”

If you notice any of the symptoms listed above, your pediatrician may take the following steps to test for OI:

“Your child’s doctor will take a careful family history in addition to a complete medical history and do a physical examination. Diagnostic procedures for OI may include a skin biopsy to evaluate the amount and structure of collagen. But this test is complicated, and not many qualified facilities are available to perform the procedure. It is not unusual for results of the biopsy to take up to six months.”

Your child’s doctor may also run x-ray and ENT exams, as well as introduce audiometric queues to test response rates. No child or parent should ever experience what Livi and her family are going through, but Livi Grace’s mother, Lindsay Rae Wix never loses hope that at the end things are going to be just fine.

Facebook/Lindsay Rae Wix

Livi’s positive attitude and the lovely smile she always has on her face tell us how brave she is. She never lets anything or anyone bring her down. Despite being that young and suffering from the illness, she knows how to live her life to the fullest.

During their shopping trip to Target, grandma asked Livi to put the slippers on, but she refuses to do so in the most funny way. Her sassy response is a clear sign she won’t let anyone tell her what to do.

Lindsay shared the footage of her spirited little one on her Facebook page, writing:

“Meet Livi Grace! Liv is almost 2 years old and was born with a rare disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta. She has brittle bones and has had over 60 fractures since birth. She is an absolute JOY. We like to think God blessed her with a lot of sass to make up for what she lacks physically. Her bones may break but her spirit is truly, unbreakable.”

We can see that here, for sure!

Watch the footage and see what a smarty pants this little lady is.

She thought she might recognize the dentist from her high school class – unfortunately, she was right

This story will remind you that no matter how young you feel, time flies really fast and life is way too short, so we should always try to find something good and even a reason to laugh in everything that happens, no matter how bad it may seem.

This woman found herself in a quite odd situation. And although we know it could make her feel frustrated, it’s still something that made us burst out laughing. She had the opposite of a case of mistaken identity and got the shock of her life.

Take a look at it below.

My name is Alice Smith and I was sitting in the waiting room for my first appointment with a new dentist. I noticed his diploma, which had his full name.

Suddenly, I remembered a tall, handsome, dark-haired boy with the same name had been in my high school class some 30-odd years ago.

Shutterstock

Could he be the same guy that I had a secret crush on, way back then?

Upon seeing him, however, I quickly discarded any such thought. This balding, gray-haired man with the deeply lined face was way too old to have been my classmate.

After he examined my teeth, I asked him if he had attended Morgan Park High school.

‘Yes. Yes, I did.’ he gleamed with pride.

‘When did you graduate?’ I asked.

He answered, ‘In 1967. Why do you ask?’

‘You were in my class!’m I exclaimed.

He looked at me closely. Then, that ugly, old, bald, wrinkled, fat, gray-haired man asked, ‘What did you teach?’

Shutterstock

Brilliant haha!
I’m sure I’ve not aged a bit until I come face to face with some little old dear in my mirror……… then realise it’s ME!! Ouch! 😳😳

CEO Asks Internet How To Deal With Two Employees Who Constantly Leave Work At 6 PM, Gets Shut Down

While some countries like Sweden tend to reduce work hours to six per day, many CEOs in the States and other countries expect from their employees to work endless hours. This CEO in particular asked the users of the advice website Quora how he can make his workers stay at the office beyond what they are supposed to. It’s sad how the bosses of the companies believe their employees should only focus on the work and ditch their social life.

However, it seems like young people nowadays respect their time which can be seen by the way this horrible CEO was told off. Take a look at some of the comments below and tell us if you agree with what people have to say on the subject.

Stranger Jumps In, Sings ‘Hallelujah’ With Street Performer

Jade Helliwell is a young girl who likes having fun and hanging out with friends. She is very stylish and always tends to stay up to speed with the current fashion trends. Her choice of outfit, however, is the reason why people judge her at times.

It’s sad how we form opinions about people we meet for the first time based on their looks. There is always more to one’s story than meets the eye, but we only figure that out after we make a bunch of wrong assumptions.

Remember frumpy-looking Susan Boyle? If yes, you probably recall how people perceived her before they listened to her singing. Her voice surprised everyone around England and the world, and that speaks volumes of how judgmental humans can be.

YouTube

Well, something similar happened to Jade on a night out with her girlfriends which turned from ordinary to one of the most memorable experiences of her life.

While walking out of the local club in Leeds, she and her friends spotted a guy playing the guitar. They approached closer and Jade asked the street musician named Dawid Osial if she could join him and sing along.

YouTube

Looking at the way she was dressed, short, tight dress, and stiletto shoes, she resembled a party girl whose only talent was to choose the perfect outfit. At least that’s what the passersby believed. But Dawid was more than happy to let her give it a try. He stepped back from the microphone and asked Jade to show everyone how gifted she is.

No one was really ready for what followed. This beautiful girl blew everyone away. She demonstrated remarkable singing talent that left the onlookers stunned.

YouTube

Dawid was glad he didn’t turn her down and let her sing along with him. It was a duet we don’t get to listen to every day. The two performed a chilling rendition of “Hallelujah” and more and more people stopped by to enjoy the sight.

YouTube

The party girl and the struggling musician looked like a mismatched pair at first glance, but their magic seemed to work well together.

We really hope we’ll get to see more of this duo in the future. It would definitely be pity if Jade doesn’t pursue a career in the music industry. With her God given talent, she will definitely become a star one day if she decides to give it a go.

YouTube

Her angelic vibrato and his lower tones blended together are spine-tingling. Make sure you watch the video of the duo below.

Daughter Bullies Classmate With Cancer, Mother Grabs Electric Shaver

What would you have done?

Netizens were shocked when video footage showed a girl screaming in fright and clutching her hair as her own mother shaves her long locks of hair away. The reason? Apparently, she had discovered that her daughter had been bullying a classmate who was bald due to cancer. It was an attempt to provide a taste of her own medicine – for bullying.

Earlier on this week, the shocking footage emerged on Facebook where people claimed the mother carried out the brutal punishment after learning that her daughter had been teasing a classmate of hers. But other users online retorted that it was because the mother had found out the girl had posted nude pictures of herself online after pre-marital sex. No one knows what the real reason was due to conflicting sources.

The clip was first posted back in February 2017, but went viral once again recently after many social media shares on Facebook. Many netizens were disgusted by the clip, with comments such as: “This is very bad parenting” and “Wrong”. Other agreed, commenting: “She shaved her head. The hair grows back again and I think she will learn a lesson”, “serves her right” and etc.

The mother and daughter were both speaking Portuguese, although where it was filmed is unknown. Many people commenting online agreed that the mother had acted inappropriately – no matter what the daughter had done. The punishment was too much, and bullying others always starts at home – parents should never post acts of humiliation inflicted upon their children online. Do you agree with this?

Little Boy Has Heart Melting Reaction To Meeting His Sister For First Time

Being a sibling is the greatest blessing from God. It means you will always have someone in your life whom you can trust and rely on even during the toughest of times. But, many times when a new baby comes into the house, older brothers and sisters can be a bit jealous, feeling like the sweet bundle of joy is stealing all the love and attention. The good thing is that even if this is the case they quickly realize that in that lovely creature they can find their best friend for life.

Tashara is a single mother who was expecting her second child. Her friend Justyce Shavue and other family members made sure everything goes as planned, and were there for the mom-to-be, helping with the preparations for the big arrival. But Justyce was a bit worried about how her friend’s first born would react because he was constantly reminding everyone around that he wasn’t ready for a baby sister.

But to everyone’s surprise, it was a first-time interaction to remember.

Twitter/JShauve

Once he meets the cutest creature his sparkling eyes has ever seen he jumps in excitement and simply can’t take the smile off his tiny face. He reaches out to the baby and can’t wait to embrace his sister. At one moment, he melts everyone’s heart when yelling out:

“My sissy!”

Facebook/People

When Tashara sees her boy’s cute reaction, she is all in tears of joy. It’s as though the purest form of love unfolds right in front of her and the rest of the family who got to witness the touching moment. Tashara’s worries of whether the boy will accept his sister faded away. He was constantly saying how he didn’t love her when she was still in his mommy’s tummy, but his heart skipped a beat when he saw her for the first time, and it was love at first sight.

He is indeed a big brother anyone could ask for. When the people gathered around them asked him to give his little sister a kiss, he is happy to do it, and we can hear them gasping a sweet “Awwwwww.” To be honest, we did the same thing while watching the video.

Facebook/People

Once the sweet moment was shared on Twitter by the children’s grandmother, it quickly went viral and was seen by more than 6 million people.

Justyce wrote about the family’s moment on Twitter, saying:

“Y’all , my best friend had her baby today and this was her son’s reaction to meeting his sister for the FIRST TIME. My heart.”

Watch the video and make sure you share this beautiful encounter with your loved ones.

This ‘129 Ways to Get a Husband’ Article From 1958 Shows How Much The World Has Changed

It’s been twenty years since the first episode of the iconic movie “Sex and The City” aired, but the issues it discussed throughout the years, such as sexuality, promiscuity, and the never ending dilemma of how to find the perfect match are still tackling women from all around the world.

However, things change over time, and the definition of a healthy relationship today might be quite different compared to the past. While back then the role and the position of many women was underrated and the man was the boss of the house, it’s pretty different nowadays.

But one thing that didn’t change are the TV programs and the magazines that always find a way to attract women’s attention by listing various tricks of how to catch the man of their dreams. One woman came across an interesting copy of a 1958 McCall’s magazine. In that magazine, an article entitled ‘129 ways to get a husband’ caught her eye. She decided to share it, and it is every bit as good as you would expect.

So if you ever wondered, this is how the 1950s advised women to seduce the opposite sex. Interesting indeed! Take a look and tell us if you’d try any of these tricks.

Police Officer Learns The Hard Way NOT To Mess With Senior Citizens

This hilarious story will teach you not to mess with older people because they possess all the knowledge and experience of the world and may easily teach you a lesson. The witty comeback this old lady has for the officer who pulled her over is the best thing you’ll read all day.

An older lady gets pulled over for speeding…

Older Woman: Is there a problem, Officer?

Officer: Ma’am, you were speeding.

Older Woman: Oh, I see.

Officer: Can I see your license please?

Older Woman: I’d give it to you but I don’t have one.

Officer: Don’t have one?

Older Woman: Lost it, 4 years ago for drunk driving.

Officer: I see….Can I see your vehicle registration papers please.

Older Woman: I can’t do that. Officer: Why not.

Older Woman: I stole this car.

Officer: Stole it?

Older Woman: Yes, and I killed and hacked up the owner.

Officer: You what?

Older Woman: His body parts are in plastic bags in the trunk if you want to see.

The Officer looks at the woman and slowly backs away to his car and calls for back up. Within minutes 5 police cars circle the car. A senior officer slowly approaches the car, clasping his half drawn gun.

Officer 2: Ma’am, could you step out of your vehicle please!

The woman steps out of her vehicle.

Older woman: Is there a problem sir?

Officer 2: One of my officers told me that you have stolen this car and murdered the owner.

Older Woman: Murdered the owner?

Officer 2: Yes, could you open the trunk of your car, please.

The woman opens the trunk, revealing nothing but an empty trunk.

Officer 2: Is this your car, ma’am?

Older Woman: Yes, here are the registration papers. The officer is quite stunned.

Officer 2: One of my officers claims that you do not have a driving license.

The woman digs into her handbag and pulls out a clutch purse and hands it to the officer. The officer examines the license. He looks quite puzzled.

Officer 2: Thank you ma’am, one of my officers told me you didn’t have a license, that you stole this car, and that you murdered and hacked up the owner.

Older Woman: Bet the liar told you I was speeding, too.

Moral: Don’t mess with little old ladies!

Stevie Wonder And Son Perform On Dancing With The Stars

Image by SeriesClips via YouTube video

When beloved singer Stevie Wonder took to the stage for Dancing With The Stars: Juniors last week, the audience erupted with applause. But Stevie wasn’t the only person they were clapping for!

This time, they gave it up for his dashing 13-year-old son Mandla Morris and his dancing partner Brightyn Brems. These two amazing teenagers lit up the audience.

His dad is famous, and now it looks like Mandla Morris, the son of singer Stevie Wonder is also on his way! Screenshot by Dancing With The Stars via YouTube video

Dad Stevie Wonder Provided Backup

The legendary singer performed “Isn’t She Lovely,” and it was definitely one of the highlights of this couple’s amazing performance. Working expertly and precisely, the two teens danced the foxtrot with absolutely no missteps. One wonders how long it took them to master this. They made it look so effortless.

Image by SeriesClips via YouTube video

The judges were also impressed, fully understanding the pressure of performing next to a beloved and revered performer like Stevie Wonder. Especially of course, when he just happens to be your dad.

“Well first it is so incredible to have the amazing Stevie Wonder performing tonight, I know if I had to do a performance with my dad on Dancing With The Stars it would not have looked like that,” said Adam Rippon, one of the judges. “You were so good, this is probably one of your best dances.”

Val Chermovskiy agreed, calling the performance “incredible” and even dad Stevie Wonder, blind since birth, couldn’t resist joking:

“It looked good to me!”

Image by Series Clips via YouTube video

But the one judge that young Mandla and Brightyn really hoped to impress is singer and choreographer Mandy Moore. And the singer didn’t disappoint. She had high praise for the talented teens:

“I was watching a beautiful couple twirling around the dance floor, you will remember this moment forever.”

Image by SeriesClips via YouTube video

The song itself also went over with the audience in a huge way, with the audience cheering and clapping throughout the performance. Stevie Wonder wrote the song in the mid-1970s to celebrate the birth of his daughter, Aisha. What’s really fun here is that she joined everyone on stage to congratulate the two teens on their performance.

But what really capped the whole thing off?

That father-son hug near the end of the clip. Stevie is clearly proud of his son.

“He made a great choice, I am very happy he did and very thankful,” Wonder said.

The judges rewarded them with a score of 27 out of 30 and Twitter users were also impressed.

There’s still a few more weeks until the winners are chosen, but we’re betting Mandla and Brightyn will be in among the top contenders!

You can watch their dazzling performance in the video below.

Boy Worried His Autism Would Put Him On The “Naughty” List

Christmas is all about family, love, tradition, and finding yourself. Offering words of support and kindness to those whose self-esteem is a bit down because of various reasons, will help lift the person’s spirit during the most wonderful time of the year. Because, at the end of the day, everyone deserves a perfect holiday spent with those that matter.

Six-year-old Lindon was looking forward to the holiday, but it seemed there was something that bothered this young boy. Luckily, the good old Santa Claus was there to make things right and revive the faith in the magic of Christmas.

When he and his family went to RiverTown Crossings mall in Michigan, Landon couldn’t wait to get closer to the Big Man and ask him an important question.

Facebook/Naomi Johnson

The boy had a secret he didn’t want to share with anyone except for Santa whom he trusts. As he was coming closer, he started shaking. Nervously, he asked:

“Will my autism put me on the naughty list?”

The poor boy though his condition could be a reason he’s not getting a present from Santa.

Screenshot via YouTube

Without hesitation, Santa responded with an amazing answer, WOOD-TV reported.

“You know I love you and the reindeer love you and it’s OK. You’re a good boy. You’re a good boy, you know?”

Landon felt relieved and happy as he heard exactly what he needed to hear. His nervousness and anxiety faded away as Santa assured him that he was a great boy he would visit on the night of Christmas. The way Santa put it into words made Landon’s mom Naomi shed tears of joy. The Big Man told the little boy that he wasn’t neither better nor worse than others because of his mental state. With only five words Santa made everything right again: “It’s OK to be you!”

Screenshot via YouTube

Santa was there to provide an insecure young boy with kind words that made him believe in himself again. The two spent five more minutes chatting and Santa was more than happy to answer all of Landon’s questions.

Screenshot via YouTube

Naomi was thrilled that her son was able to absorb Santa’s lesson.

“Here was Landon, sitting with Santa and being told that it was ok to be himself. Mommy tells him all the time that he’s special and I love him the way he was made, but it’s always nice to hear it from others.”

The reassurance from such an important person warmed their hearts and gave Landon the boost of confidence he was searching for.

Screenshot via YouTube

Santa’s kind deed put him onto a different, more special kind of list.

“We have met a lot of amazing people in our Autism journey, but this one made the top of the list.”

The old man was compassionate and said the right words at the right time. That day, he changed a little boy’s life completely, by making him accept himself the way he was.

Once you see the whole story it will leave you in tears, so you better grab a box of tissues while watching.

80-Year-Old Destitute Woman Curled up Days on Street Until Traffic Cop Steps In

There are times in life when we feel like our world turns upside down and there is no way out of the desperate situation we found ourselves in. But, many times, in cases like this, certain people cross our path and enter our life only to remind us that we are not fighting our battles alone, and things aren’t always as bad as they seem.

An Indian traffic police officer is a living proof of this. He entered this old lady’s life and gave her a helping hand in the toughest of times. The 80-year-old woman named Buchamma was found curled up by a Hyderabad roadside nearby the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU). She had apparently spent the last three days there, and no one, except for Mr. B.Gopal, cared enough to offer her at least a glass of water.

“The elderly woman who was seated near JNTUH crossroads reminded me of my mother,”

recalled Gopal, reports the New Indian Express.

“I could not stop myself from helping her.”

The kindhearted man felt he could at least buy her a meal.

“I offered her a cup of tea and then bought lunch for her,” says Gopal, reports The Hindu. “But she was unable to even eat with her own hands, so I fed her.”

A passerby who witnessed the lovely sight twitted the officer’s kind act and it vent viral for all the right reasons.

“This is called change, not only friendly police, also called social responsibility,” tweeted one man.

“Humanity can be clearly seen in this Gentleman,” wrote another. “Hats off B.Gopal.”

One person commented:

“It’s people like you who enhance our lives, who make the world a wonderful place, who inspire us to put others first, who help us to overlook the evil. Thank you.”

This lady’s life was pretty difficult, and her faith is sad, because she ended up on the streets and then thanks to Mr. B. Gopal she was moved to Anand Ashram, a shelter for the homeless. Besides having nine children, none of them provided for their mother.

Buchamma will have a roof over her head, and regular meals, away from her family.

What the officer did not only changed Buchamma’s life, but it restored our faith in humanity. He is everything a person should be, kind, caring, and compassionate. We hope more people will follow his example and will help someone in need.

Woman’s Mistake Brings A Stranger To Her Home

Katie Egger Markis from Washington D.C was awoken by the sound of her smartphone. An alert from the home security provider told her something unusual was taking place at her front porch. As she was about to head to her teaching workout class, she got up from bed and approached the cameras that were showing a stranger standing at her front door. She has never seen that man before in her life so she sort of freaked out and got suspicious.

Facebook/Katie Egger Makris

Her first thought was that he could be a delivery guy, but it was still dark outside and way too early for someone to be at their job at that time. At that point, Katie really had no idea who that man could be and why he was pacing back and forth her porch. She later posted on Facebook saying:

“Typically, posted videos from Ring cameras are about package thefts, break ins, people juggling car doors on the street to see what’s open…and our neighborhood list serve is always littered with these this time of year.”

YouTube

However, it turned out the man wasn’t there for any of the reasons that went through Katie’s mind. It was visible from the camera footage that he intended to leave something for the family, but was walking around to find just the perfect place.

Once Katie saw him wandering off she couldn’t wait to see what he dropped off. She called her husband and asked him to check. To Katie’s surprise, what the stranger placed under the doormat was her wallet.

She must have lost it the previous day during her morning jog. The kind stranger did an amazing thing. He probably learned Katie’s address from her ID card and decided to get it back to her, without asking anything in return.

YouTube

Katie shared the whole story on Facebook:

“This guy was nice enough to stop his van, clearly checked the address on the ID and returned it under our mat. Anyone who lives in DC knows this is pretty much unheard of – you drop a wallet, you lose a wallet, and you usually lose everything in your accounts if you’re not quick, too. Counting my blessings today- I’m damn lucky. Random Dallas fan in the plaid with the white van: thank you. You’re what’s right in the world.”

We sometimes make assumptions beforehand and later realize how wrong we may end up being, as in this case. Katie is beyond grateful for this man’s act.

This Little Girl Tried To Explain Child Birth To Her Class. This Is Priceless.

Children are the most honest creatures who don’t really care whether you like what they have to say or not. They always speak their mind and that’s one of the reasons we love them so much. Now imagine how teachers may feel like, surrounded by a bunch of smarty pants who are eager to share everything they’ve seen and heard with the whole class. Students definitely tell stories worth sharing, pretty much like the one below.

It’s old, but gold! A must read that will make you burst out laughing.

I’ve been teaching now for about fifteen years. I have two kids myself, but the best birth story I know is the one I saw in my own second-grade classroom a few years back.

Usually, show-and-tell is pretty tame. Kids bring in pet turtles, model airplanes, pictures of fish they catch, stuff like that. And I never, ever place any boundaries or limitations on them. If they want to lug it to school and talk about it, they’re welcome.

Well, one day this little girl, Erica, a very bright, very outgoing kid, takes her turn and waddles up to the front of the class with a pillow stuffed under her sweater. She holds up a snapshot of an infant.

“This is Luke, my baby brother, and I’m going to tell you about his birthday. First, Mommy and Daddy made him as a symbol of their love, and then Daddy put a seed in my mother’s stomach, and Luke grew in there.

He ate for 9 months through an umbrella cord.”

She’s standing there with her hands on the pillow, and I’m trying not to laugh and wishing I had a video camera rolling. The kids are watching her in amazement.

“Then, about two Saturdays ago, my mother starts going, ‘Oh, oh, oh!”

Erica puts a hand behind her back and groans.

“She walked around the house for, like an hour, “Oh, oh, oh!”

Now this kid is doing this hysterical duck-walk, holding her back and groaning.

“My father called the middle wife. She delivers babies, but she doesn’t have a sign on the car like the Domino’s man.

They got my mother to lay down in bed like this.”

Erica lies down with her back against the wall.

“And then, pop! My mother had this bag of water she kept in there in case he got thirsty, and it just blew up and spilled all over the bed, like psshhheew!”

The kid has her legs spread and with her little hands is miming water flowing away. It was too much!

“Then the middle wife starts going push, push, and breathe, breathe. They start counting, but they never even got past 10. Then, all of a sudden, out comes my brother. He was covered in yucky stuff they said was from the play-center, so there must be a lot of stuff inside there.”

Then Erica stood up, took a big theatrical bow and returned to her seat. I’m sure I applauded the loudest. Ever since then, if it’s show-and-tell day, I bring my camcorder – just in case another Erica comes along.

The best obituary ever written in a newspaper. This is spot on.

It seems that nowadays common sense is not that common. People get offended easily, and most of them lost the ability to perceive things in a rational manner. Someone who realized this posted the best obituary ever written in the New York Times.

Read it below:

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

– Knowing when to come in out of the rain;

– Why the early bird gets the worm;

– Life isn’t always fair;

– And maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death,

-by his parents, Truth and Trust,

-by his wife, Discretion,

-by his daughter, Responsibility,

-and by his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 5 stepbrothers;

– I Know My Rights

– I Want It Now

– Someone Else Is To Blame

– I’m A Victim

– Pay me for Doing Nothing

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

Share this with your friends, in loving memory of Common Sense!

Most people see a black crow in this picture – but can you find what’s really there?

Every once in a while we come across optical illusions that have the power to play tricks with our brain. We see things that are not there, and sometimes even miss the obvious. Illusions definitely confuse us and blow our mind, but are fascinating and interactive at the same time. Sometimes they go viral and spark debate among the Internet users. You may well remember the famous dress. What was its color? Was it white and gold,or black and blue? I guess we’ll never know the answer.

The recent illusion that caught our attention was posted on Reddit, by the user Robert Maguire, and later started trending on Twitter. It’s a picture of a crow- or at least that’s what most users say.

However, if you pay closer attention you may end up seeing a quite different animal.

Robert Maguire writes:

This picture of a crow is interesting because…
— Robert Maguire (@RobertMaguire_) October 28, 2018

At first glance it looks like a black crow facing to the right but in reality, it is a black cat that is turning its back neck and looking into the camera.

Did you see it? And yes, another fun thing about illusions is that once you figure them out, you can’t unsee it!

Here is another one? Can you count the elephant’s legs?

You may hear answers such as 5 or 6, while others believe there are only four.

So what do you think?

Both these illusions fooled me! Now share them with your friends and pass on the challenge.

Confirmed by Scientists: Babysitting your grandchildren improves your life expectancy!

People tend to do things they believe will provide them with a happier and a healthier life, like having long walks, avoiding fast food and opting for healthier choices such as fruits and vegetables, quitting smoking, exercising, and a lot more. However, the secret behind extended life expectancy seems to be found in taking care and babysitting the grandchildren. Yes, you’ve heard that right. If you believed that young kids have the power to make you feel younger when you are around them, then you are not far from the truth.

When they get to bond with the grandchildren, the elderly are calmer and less depressed. The sad reality is that over the years people lose their friends, and sometimes the only companion remaining is the TV, so getting the chance of spending time with their children’s offspring is really refreshing and rewarding, as well as life changing.

This has been confirmed by the science as well. A group of researchers conducted a study involving 500 participants who were over 70 years old. The results imply that those who didn’t babysit their grandkids frequently were at greater risk of death than those who did.

According to Dr Ronan Factora

“there is a link between taking care of someone and reducing our overall stress levels.”

Doctors advise older people to stay physically active as much as possible, and is there anything better than running around the young rascals?

Physical and cognitive stimulation are critical in keeping the body healthy, and taking care of those you love the most is a perfect balance between exercising and having the time of your life, surrounded with smiles, hugs, and kisses.

So, if you are a grandparent, don’t hesitate a bit, and offer to babysit right away. I know I can’t wait for my kids to have children.

The relationship between grandparents and grandchildren is significant and pure, and it should be encouraged for the benefit of both.

Doctor Asks Terminally Ill Children What Truly Matters In Life. Their Answers Are Incredibly Wise.

We often take things life has to offer for granted. How is it that we are only grateful for what we have once we lose it? Many people don’t really understand how lucky they are for simply being healthy, having roof over their head and food on their table.

Life is sometimes cruel and when we hear of stories of people who lost it all, we do realize how fortunate we are and what are the real treasures in life, and that’s the well-being of the people we love.

Dr. Alastair McAlpine knows how to cherish the good things because he often witnesses devastating destinies and sees kids losing the battles with their illnesses. This man decided to share with the rest of the world the wisdom he learns from his terminally ill patients. These children are between four and nine years old and tell us what they believe makes life worth. You may get surprised how much shrewdness is hidden behind their words.

Dr. McAlpine is a palliative care physician in Cape Town, S. Africa, who eases the pain of kids who are dying.

Twitter

When he asked them what truly matters in life and what doesn’t, he hoped many people would hear what his patients had to say, but he didn’t think their words of wisdom would spread among people like a wildfire.

1. No one wishes they spend more time online.

2. Animals make human lives better.

3. They love their parents.

4. Ice cream, duh.

5. Reading makes a big difference.

6. Worrying is a waste of time.

7. Everybody loves the beach!

8. Kindness matters.

9. Laughter is the best medicine.

10. Children love their toys.

11. Family time is the best time.

Dr. McAlpine wrapped up his thread with one last important recap:

The way these children perceive life is what we all should live by. They remind us of the importance of the “little things” and how the essence of our existence is to love and be loved.

Please share their wise words with those you love!

Mom who fought cancer while pregnant with twins receives life-saving transplant

It was a miracle.

Susie Rabaca from Southern California has quite a story to tell. This brave woman learned that she had cancer while she was carrying twins. In order for her life to be saved, as well as that of her unborn babies, she was forced to undergo a bone marrow transplant. Things didn’t seem easy because the first thing that was needed to be done was to find a perfect match donor. Luckily, some good news were on the way not long after the devastating diagnosis.

The mom-to-be had issued a personal plea for people willing to register for a match – her own sister was deemed unsuitable with a 50% match.

Susie, who was already a mom of three, was overwhelmed by the number of people who signed up to be potential donors. As she is both Latino and Caucasian, she wasn’t sure if she’d be able to find the perfect match as that proved to be difficult in the past for people of her heritage.

Incredibly and to the surprise of many, just a couple of days after Susie’s plea went viral, at least 40,000 people had registered as potential donors on the ‘Be The Match’ registry. Julie Kornike, who was the founder of ‘Be The Match’, stated: “Only 3 percent of our registry is mixed ethnicity, and so it can really difficult to find a matching donor. The fact that we have identified a potential match for her is really exciting.”

Susie will be undergoing a transplant before giving birth. “For me to find one and for it to be 10 out of 10 at that, is amazing. Nothing better in the world right now. Whoever you are out there – thank you so much. You’re saving my life. You’re an angel, and I hope one day to meet you.” Susie remarked with tears in her eyes.

This is one of those doctor’s visits one never forgets – Hilarious

Gynecologist appointments aren’t always that comfortable and it does take a little bit of extra effort in order to look more ‘presentable’. This woman, however, went a step further without even realizing it, so it turned into one of the weirdest doctor’s visits ever. We doubt she will ever visit him again.

I was due for an appointment with the gynecologist later in the week. Early one morning, I received a call from the doctors office to tell me that I had been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 am. I had only just packed everyone off to work and school, and it was already around 8:45am.

The trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I didn’t have any time to spare. As most women do, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene when making such visits, but this time I wasnt going to be able to make the full effort.

So, I rushed upstairs, threw off my pajamas, wet the washcloth that was sitting next to the sink, and gave myself a quick wash in that area to make sure I was at least presentable. I threw the washcloth in the clothes basket, donned some clothes, hopped in the car and raced to my appointment.

I was in the waiting room for only a few minutes when I was called in. Knowing the procedure, as I’m sure you do, I hopped up on the table, looked over at the other side of the room and pretended that I was in Paris or some other place a million miles away.

I was a little surprised when the doctor said, My, we have made an extra effort this morning, haven’t we? I didn’t respond.

After the appointment, I heaved a sigh of relief and went home. The rest of the day was normal… Some shopping, cleaning, and cooking. After school when my 6 year old daughter was playing, she called out from the bathroom, Mommy, wheres my washcloth?

I told her to get another one from the cupboard.

She replied, No, I need the one that was here by the sink, it had all my glitter and sparkles saved inside it.

Never going back to that doctor again…Never.

Boy’s Southern Shopping List Is Melting Hearts Across The Country

Young kids can be hilarious. They are quite honest and always speak their mind, and very often say words they are not really allowed to, which makes them even more interesting and lovable.

One mother shared a video of her lovely son doing the grocery list and he somehow became one of the loveliest children we’ve ever seen on the Internet. His mother assigned him a very serious task and he simply makes sure he won’t miss any of the items they need to pick up from the store by carefully repeating them one by one.

Facebook/Chrystal Logsdon

It’s obvious he is pretty excited to be accompanying his mommy that he quickly grabs a pen and a pad of paper and starts listing the items.

However, what makes Chrystal’s youngest son so unique is his sweet Southern accent. Each word is filled to the brim with a down-home country twang!

The video mommy uploaded on her Facebook page vent viral and has been seen by more than eleven million people, all of which are stunned by the way he pronounces the words.

Facebook/Chrystal Logsdon

Although everyone agrees how he does it in the most adorable way possible, many wonder how can a boy that young have such a strong Southern accent.

According to scientists, that’s not an unusual phenomenon because accent starts developing at kids as young as six months.

The Smithsonian publication explains this, stating:

“As early as 6 months, [a baby] begins to differentiate one bit of verbal input from another, mentally reviewing and silently rehearsing for the moment when the vocal cords are ready to deliver. And when the words do tumble out, they will be reproduced with the distinctive, localized twang or lilt overheard in Mommy’s and Daddy’s (or Mama’s and Papa’s) own funny speech.

Accents, in whatever language, stubbornly hang in there for years, decades, a lifetime, without being easily rubbed out.”

So whenever a baby hears a word, it is stored into their brain along with the sound or the way it is pronounced. Children can have a bit of accent even when they say their first ever words.

This vocal imprinting is definitely what happened with Chrystal’s adorable little one. It looks as if he and his parents are pretty proud of the way he speaks.

Take a look at the little boy and make sure you share the video with your friends.
