These elderly women, both in their 90’s, found out that their 97-year-old sister was in hospice care and rushed to pamper her. The medical staff was taking care of her, but the two sisters knew that she could use some extra support.

With kindness and laughter, they brushed her hair and made her feel pretty and special on one of her darker days. The love between these sisters is truly heartwarming!

Seeing such a strong bond between sisters really warms a parent’s heart. According to Psychology Today you can help your children develop this type of connection! First of all it is suggested to start building this bond as early as possible. The younger your children learn to think of each other as best friends, the stronger bond they will have.

Psycology Today also suggests that you never play favorites with your children as it according to the publication can cause resentment among the children.

The three sisters relationship is such a beautiful and rare thing to see. Thankfully they have been there for each other, know all each other’s strenghts and weaknesses and love one another unconditionally.

Learning that the eldest sister had started hospice care, they all rushed to be together. Knowing that they didn’t have much time left together all three they were deterined to make the most of the remainder of days.

That’s why they brought a hairbrush with them on their visit – they wanted to fill their last memories together with love, laughter and beauty. Luckily the woman’s granddaughter recorded the precious moment on camera and shared the beautiful moment with the world.

John Greene, a veteran had a home that had sadly fallen into disrepair, so much so that he had resorted to sleeping in his car each night, just to keep warm on the cold nights of the winter!

Thanks to the community spirit of the Barnesville community, he will not have to sleep in his car again or endure the cold nights in his car every night anymore.

Eddie Felton works alongside veterans to help them, he heard that there was a guy sleeping his car. Both he and his wife decided they just had to make the journey down to see him and see what was going on with him.

When they got there, what they found that John was sleeping in his car, keeping the engine running to keep himself warm through the night.

Eddie said:

“I went and knocked on the window and said, ‘Mr. Greene, you can’t do this. If you have a pinhole, carbon monoxide will kill you”

But when Eddie then saw the serious condition of John’s house he then understood why he had been sleeping in his car!

The house was really run down, it was actually falling apart, it really would be impossible to sleep in the house how it was…

All through the year and in all weathers, hot, cold, in rain or snow, even in ice, that UPS guy keeps coming round, he never fails to show up!

Living in a rural area, like being in the countryside means that he has to drive down a long driveway then has to deal with a large but friendly dog and carry heavy packages across the yard and the porch to the front door.

When he comes out the owner greets him and thanks him, but he always has a smile and kind words to say and a lovely treat for the dog too!

He always carefully turns the truck around so no to tear up the grass in the front yard and he hardly ever delivers a damaged package!

Online shopping and relying on delivery by courier are really getting more and more popular, hence UPS and other delivery drivers are more and more important to us all in our day to day lives.

They deliver us many and varied things like groceries and prescription medicines, housewares, and if you live quite far from a city then life without them would be considerably more difficult all around.

Leading up to the holidays it is common to see the UPS guy delivering packages up to 9 PM in the night, in fact, weeks before the Christmas. Its cold and dark outside when it gets to that time, but the UPS guy still shows up!

This guy deserves more than the small gift he received, but the thought was priceless!

A powerful hymn is “How Great Thou Art”, but it’s not only powerful as it is an awesome hymn to capture a glimpse of Gods glory, which is a challenging thing to do!

It’s such a classic hymn and it probably comes as close as anything humanly possible to giving a sense of the greatness and omnipotence of God. It hardly ever fails to bring tears to the eyes as I sing the words.

I really didn’t think that is was actually achievable for the hymn to be even more emotive and deeply meaningful until I saw Robert Earl, Bob for short, singing the very sale, but on a different level!

It really is two different things to sing about the greatness of God when life seems really great, but to still sing those famous words, how great thou art, from your hospital bed as your close to death, that is both strength and faith!

Melissa Walter’s Moss put the video of her husband, 97-year-old Grandpa who was belting out the truly wonderful song, one evening on a Thursday at the Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital. He was surrounded by all his friends and family, and I’m not ashamed to admit I shed more than a tear as I watched the video!

Faith and happiness are clear forces in Walters’ voice, just like the conviction he had for every single word that left his lips as he sang that song!

From his daughter it was announced, an update, that her Grandpa, much loved had sadly passed away in the early morning on Friday, Jan 12th after that beautiful song he sang that evening, almost like he knew he was being called to Heaven after it.

Moss wrote:

“I captured the sweetest moment when they were singing a hymn together, just listen to his sweet voice praising Jesus.”

“This morning my precious grandpa got to meet Jesus face to face as he peacefully went home to be with Him, uncle Rick by his side”

“How Great Thou Art” was the last song he sang and I certainly hope that before I pass away I could live up to Walter’s conviction and faith, what an amazing guy right up until the end!

Walters video of him singing the hymn in the hospital bed was shared on the Facebook page “Love What Matters” and as a result man other people also shared memories of singing this wonderful hymn with loved ones in all sorts of situations.

One other person shared that her family also sang the hymn around her Grandpa’s bed in a hospital just before he passed too.

She said in a comment:

“Oh, wow…this is what we sang around my grandpa’s hospital bed …My oldest daughter was 4 years old (now 8 yrs old) and she still calls it -great grandpa’s song-”

“This is why we should still sing hymns at church…they connect generations together”

During life certainly, but even during death, Walters left a real impression on not just his family and friends but, I think, to God too, before he met him in heaven, our thoughts and prayers go to the family and friends to stay strong and keep their faith during these difficult times.

A hole in the heart doesn’t so much describe metaphorically a heartbreak in life, but it does refer to an actual real hole in the heart, Christie Cunningham, 35, had exactly this condition, she was unaware of it…

Her daughter was not feeling well at school either and this too played a role in the events of the day.

It was September and all these events seemed to play a role in what was about to happened that day. Her daughter, Kailey George, 8, was at Vision Charter School, she felt a little ill, it was her coming home that saved the day and more!

Christie made the decision that she would try to leave work early to pick up her daughter early from school, but when they arrived home, it wasn’t Kailey that needed care, it was her mom!

Christie’s back began to hurt, she really didn’t feel well at all…

Christie got a foam roller, she used it to ease her back pain, she stumbled to the ground. Her daughter approached her mother, she sensed there was something serious going on with her mom.

She noticed that her mom’s mouth was drooping in a strange way and that she was talking in a weird way, she knew she had to do something quickly.

Her mom is a nurse and she just thought that she needed to hydrate, drink a little water, her daughter asked her something really important!

It was when her mom couldn’t use her arm properly to drink the water…

She asked her mom:

“Are you playing tricks?”

Christie wasn’t aware of the severity of what she was experiencing, but, in fact, she was experiencing a stroke and her arm was paralyzed.

It was, of course, the hole in her heart that was the root of the problem!

A blood clot had moved through the hole in her heart and it had found its way around her body and ended up in her brain and cause the stroke.

She really wasn’t aware of the seriousness of her situation even though her daughter was, her mom didn’t want her to ring 911, she thought it wasn’t that bad, but Kailey knew she needed to take action.

She called her dad and told him what was happening to mom!

Her dad called 911 straight away after hearing Christie trying to speak, fortunately, she survived the stroke, but it could have been a lot worse had it happened and her daughter was not there to call for help.

The hole in her heart was repaired during a surgical procedure, before the surgery she had to take blood thinners, but afterward, she will take some baby aspirin, for the remainder of her life.

An award was presented to Kailey in front of classmates, police offices and paramedics!

This wonderful little girl was just in the right place at the right time, like she sensed that she needed to be there to help, or maybe God had a hand to play?

Every single event that day contributed to the positive outcome for her mom, every little detail, and it all payed off and she came out of the experience alive, the more time your left untreated with a stroke the more of yourself you loose!

What began as an awful tragedy very soon after became one of the most incredible stories I have ever heard!

Ryan from Oklahoma and Jessica from Michigan had both lost the other halves, their spouses, to brain cancer in August of 2010, they hadn’t a clue what to do or where to turn to, they felt completely lost.

Their spouses had passed only four days apart, both of them had also been keeping a blog of their difficulties, somewhere though, somebody had been reading both their blogs!

That person contacted Jessica, they said:

“There’s this man in Oklahoma who lost his wife four days after you lost your husband and I just think you could be encouraging to him.”

She left him a message on his own blog, she offered to talk on email or phone, if he wanted to.

However, she didn’t know was that one of Ryan’s children came home and was asking about a “new mom”. It really caught him off guard, it had, after all only been two months since she had passed away.

That night, he prayed with his children, and he said:

“God, if that’s what I’m supposed to do, give me a sign, show me something… just prepare my heart for something like that.”

The very following morning he got Jessica’s message:

After that the rest really seems history, they chatted each other’s socks down, hours at a time, then in December, they decided to meet.

They chose Savannah to meet, in Georgia, after all, it was “neutral ground,”. It was a place both had always intended to visit, but never quite made it there, they certainly didn’t anticipate they would make it there under these circumstances!

In all the phone calls and emails they had really made such a great connection with each other, it really helped them figure out what they wanted, no kids involved, just the two of them communicating.

Ryan said:

“Both of us had really good marriages and thought, ‘I want to do this again.’ I knew very quickly, even in the conversations, that I wanted her to be my wife and spend time with her for the rest of my life”

Everything was really great between them, and so it was that they got married in April 2011, the only thing next was to decide who would move in with who!

Jessica’s son was disabled, Lucas, and he went to a lovely school already, it was logical that Ryan moves his three kids to Grand Rapids, Michigan, which he did, with Jessica and of course her four children she already had.

Wow, seven kids, half of them not your own, well they are really strong and they absolutely made it work.

Ryan said:

“The kids all just meshed as if they were brothers and sisters from day one. It’s just amazing how they just took to each other immediately”

Just to put the icing on the cake, they are a family of ten, having had another child of their own in 2015. In 2013 they upped and moved to Tennessee, they now have 30 acres and a big country style house they all live in!

Celebrating at a restaurant is a wonderful way to celebrate, that is unless you are called Makenzie and Steven Schultz, their celebration quickly turned into a complete disaster, the worse they have ever had!

For the first glass of water it took around 20 whole minutes, then another 40 minutes for them to get their appetizer and another hour for the entree!

Many people might well have complained about this kind of behavior, some probably even have walked away without a second thought, but not wanting this to happen in their special night the Schultz’s’ reaction was a true surprise for sure!

To be true to the facts people all around the Schultz’s were poking fun of the restaurant and how unbelievably bad the service actually was.

But after all that they didn’t leave an awful review of the restaurant, they didn’t even speak to the manager, they empathized with the waiting staff and left a note to them, what awesome people!!

Makenzie explained:

“So here’s the deal. Our service tonight sucked …Yeah, it was pretty terrible. But, it was very obvious that the issue was being short staffed, not the server.”

“He was running around like crazy and never acted annoyed with any table. At one point we counted he had 12 tables plus the bar. More than any one person could handle!”

The Schultz’s sat waiting and watching the server run back and to, between too many tables, all the time saying how sorry she was, never once losing her cool…

Makenzie realized and turned to Steven and said:

“Wow, this used to be us. Waiting tables. I don’t miss it at all and I never loved that job. I did it for the tips.”

They both agreed that the server wouldn’t be getting any tips, just because of how slow the food was coming out, even though it really was not her fault, at all.

The Schultz’s decision was to be really kind about it, in fact, they did the opposite of what most people would do and they left a tip of $100 on top of the $66 dollar meal, and a note to explain.

In the note they said:

“We’ve both been in your shoes. Paying it forward =)”

They quickly left before the server had a chance to read the note, they didn’t want a fuss, it was simply a kind gesture.

Later on, Makenzie decided they this story could be a real inspiration to others too and decided to share it! She says that a bit of thoughtfulness can often really change a situation for the better, especially when its a situation outside of the person’s control.

Makenzie wrote:

“I’m just sharing this as a friendly reminder to think of the entire situation before you judge …And always always always remember where you came from.”

When you’re homeless your kind of stuck in a rut, between a rock and a hard place, but to suddenly find out there is something amazing waiting for you, something you completely forgot about, it will change your life, it’s truly amazing…

Jon Helsinki is 62 years old and has been living in a cardboard box for the last three years next to a bus stop in Tampa, Florida!

He slept often under the shelter there and the bus stop benches there, most people didn’t even notice that he was there, he felt completely invisible to everyone.

His identification documents had been stolen from him and it was almost impossible to get new ID’s for him as he was from Poland originally and is now all alone in the world!

He had tried to apply for temporary housing at the Florida Community Housing Solutions Center, but again, it was a dead-end because he had no way to prove his identity, so he was refused.

He was really stuck in a rut, a vicious cycle of events that kept going around and around and then back to where he started again.

Charles Inman, a caseworker heard his story and he wanted to help him out. Charles was working with the community health provider DACCO and stepped in to try to do something for him.

Officer Daniel McDonald also helped them, from the Tampa Police Department, they made a good team and were determined to help the guy break the terrible cycle he was stuck in.

Inman said after meeting Helinski for the first time:

“This situation looked really difficult, and I wasn’t sure how it was going to end up”

“If it failed, it meant we’d put a 62-year-old man on the street, and Officer McDonald and I were not OK with that”

“John was born in Poland, so it made it even more difficult for him to get new ID …I helped him out and said, that we will figure this out and get him a bed”

The two men worked with Helinski and got all the identification papers he needed finally…

McDonald said:

“First, I drove him personally to the local tax collector’s office, where he was able to get a temporary State of Florida ID card”

With the ID papers, he could finally get his birth record from the US State Consular Affairs department.

Then the pieces started to fall into place, they could get him an appointment with social security and find out about his benefits he used to have.

The big shock was that Helinski had never stopped receiving benefits, they are still getting deposited in his bank!

They then went to the bank and the men saw he had a bank account he had forgotten about, with the social security checks and more!

With his forgotten accounts he was able to move into his very own home, he is now living in the community homes that Inman work for, but all of a sudden his future is a lot happier and assured!

McDonald says:

“He has the money now to move into his own home …He deserves it. He’s a very good, sweet and genuine man.”

A huge thanks to these two men who made it all possible for this once homeless guy, they turned his life around and now he has a bright future again!

To voluntarily have your daughter’s leg amputated is an incredibly difficult decision to make. This truly awesome story of facing facts and overcoming anything that has in store for you…

Born with deformed legs and hands, little Jemma Kelly was very special, he mom Tamara was shocked when she first saw her little girl.

She said:

“She only had three fingers on each hand and there wasn’t an ankle on her bottom right leg so it had formed in a hook shape”

As Jemma grew a little older she couldn’t walk or play as normal children could.

She said:

“I want my daughter to lead a normal life, she’s an amazing little person and I will not let her life be changed by her disability”

Doctors said that there are a few options to try to help her daughter, her parents made the heartbreaking decision to have Jemma’s leg amputated above the knee-joint!

Kelly said:

“We were given options to extend her leg with screws, metals, and rods, but we decided that if she had it amputated she could live a better life without countless surgeries”

At just 9 months old they did the surgery on her, then just before her first birthday she was fitted with a prosthetic leg, so she could adapt to it and move around like other toddlers.

They encouraged her to move around and to help her adapt to her new limb as much as possible!

Her new prosthetic leg actually has a knee-joint, it allows Jemma much more movement and flexibility.

Tamara said:

“She does cheerleading, plays tee-ball, rides a bike, bounces on trampolines—if you covered her prosthetic leg you’d never know the difference between her and any other child… Now she can bend down to grab things like in tee-ball and so she’s just getting used to being able to kneel rather than throw her leg out”

Tamara went on to say:

“When she was younger she used to stand at the couch and balance like a flamingo but now she’s walking, running and always on the move”

“When she learned to walk it was such a massive achievement…”

“We’ve had to undergo a lot of therapy and I’ve researched different ways to teach her how to move but now she’s just incredible.”

“We’re all incredibly proud of everything she’s done so far, she’s an amazing little girl”

Jemma and all her family really take the positives in life, they focus on what she can do in her life, which is nearly everything!

Great luck To Jemma for the bright future she has ahead of her, you will achieve whatever you want in your life!

At a young age we teach our children to give respect to their elders, thankfully, this is something that many of those children then carry on doing as adults too. Seniors now live much longer and we have and know more about medicine and life and so they need a little more help to get along sometimes too.

Thank goodness there are more people out there who will see opportunities to call in on an elderly person in need and help them out, one of those great people is Chris Carter…

He was on an outing with his family recently and Chris saw the perfect opportunity to help a senior guy who was hunched over and pushing a lawn mower, a large one at that!

Chris instead of just passing by, he turned and looked at his wife, then decided that he would do something fantastic.

Tara shared what he did with the Facebook page ‘Love What Matters’, She was completely taken back by her husband’s reaction at first, but she knew that what he did was really in his caring nature.

Tara said:

“This is one of the many reasons I love my husband. As we are driving home with Kylie and Gage, Chris suddenly turns the jeep around and says, ‘Take the food home and come back and get me.’ I didn’t know what he had seen but said okay.”

His wife was a little worried at first but then she saw what her hubby did next and it touched her, it was so warm and kindhearted. Chris’ lovely nature and thoughtfulness, he pulled over and parked the car up.

He jumped out of his car and walked over to the senior guy, he was finding the work with the lawn mower difficult.

Tara went on to say:

“We pull up and Chris takes the push mower from this elderly gentleman. I pray that my son learns from this and randomly helps people do things like his father does.”

How Chris reacted to this situation is a really good example of what we all should do as much as we can, respect and honor our elders, help them when they need help, he really showed the youth of today how to act by his example.

Chris’ compassionate act wasn’t done for attention, or to get noticed or any other selfish reason, he did it to help someone else because he cared and he is a good guy, such a selfless act.

It is after all times like these that Senior need a little help sometimes, I know if it was me that needed help like this I would really appreciate it, what a true gent!

The elderly guy was really grateful for Chris’ help, it’s the smallest gestures that can mean the most sometimes!

This nine-year-old boy managed to beat the odds in his battle against cancer, just long enough to get to see his newborn sister and pick her name before he sadly passed away, his parents describe his heartbreaking story…

The doctors discovered cancer in Bailey’s body quite late, so, unfortunately, they could only say that he had just days or weeks to live.

The young boy was completely set in his mind that he would fight cancer, held on to his life for a hard and challenging fifteen months, he had round after round of treatment…

It was Christmas Eve when Bailey passed away, he was with his parents Lee and Rachel Cooper, they were at his side, but not before he got to see his newborn sister, he named her Millie.

Bailey’s troubles started in the summer of 2016 when he was taken ill and got medical attention. The Doctors thought he might have had some kind of virus, but when it didn’t get better they gave him antibiotics for a chest infection.

His condition just continued to get worse…

His blood test results were completely devastating, has was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, it was cancer, it affects the vessels of the glands in the body.

He was started on chemotherapy and steroid medication and in February of 2017 cancer went into remission, it seemed like there was a glimmer of hope and he might recover.

The bay’s father said:

“They thought there were no more signs of cancer …He started back at Stoke Lodge school and from then we were home.”

“He had to go in for regular check-ups and routine MRIs every three months, but things were looking up.”

It came to easter time, the doctors called his parents, there had been a relapse and he had to return to hospital again.

Bailey was reassessed, the doctors said that he had a seventy percent chance of survival now.

He father said:

“He went into chemo again …The doctors threw the book at it, and told us even if he survived it, the long-term effects will last for the rest of his life. He had a stem cell transplant.”

Bailed bravely battled the disease and towards the end of July, he had recovered enough that he could leave the hospital again and spend some time with his family.

Baily’s mom said:

“We had six weeks at home with him that summer. It was amazing”

Towards the end of August again there was a relapse. But this time around the cancer had returned even more aggressively than previous times.

The consultant Doctor said:

“It’s at stage four, and it’s even worse. It’s very aggressive.”

There were sizable lumps in his chest, inside his lungs, his liver and his stomach, it was extensive!

His father said:

“She told us there wasn’t very long left—it was only days or weeks”

Bailey was determined and he battled as hard as he could, he was determined to meet his little sister, she was due in November.

His mother said:

“Those three months were absolutely horrendous. We knew he didn’t have very long, and we tried to enjoy whatever time he had left”

Bailey’s situation deteriorated and he had to go on pain medication.

His mom said:

“We didn’t think he would last that long, but he was determined to meet Millie. It got to the end of November, and Millie was born.”

“He hugged her and did everything an older brother would do—change her, wash her, sing to her”

“But week by week, he got dramatically worse. He would be down and sleeping on the sofa a lot, and sometimes in bed unresponsive. It was difficult.”

His father said the doctors predicted that he wouldn’t last until his sister would be born but Baile had a different idea about that!

His father said:

“Doctors said he was going to go before Millie was born. He didn’t. He fought, and on the way to hospital, he said we should call her Millie”

“But the moment after he met her, he began to taper off quickly. He was slipping away.”

Bailey was taken to the hospital on Friday, Dec. 22.

His mother recounted:

“We sat there hour by hour, watching him slip away. We read him stories, and listened to his favorite music”

“By 11:45 a.m. on Christmas Eve, we were by his bedside. We knew it was not going to be long. We told him ‘it’s time to go, Bailey, stop’.”

“The moment we said ‘stop’, he took his last breath and had just the one tear come out of his eye. It was peaceful.”

Baliey’s parents managed to share their final moments with their son, they said that in those final moments he said something extraordinarily touching about his little sister, just before he was taken to the hospital.

Bailey said:

“I want to stay but it’s my time to go to become her guardian angel.”

Rest in peace little man we wish you peaceful happy days in heaven, you were so brave, our thoughts rest with you.

This boy, only ten years old came to the coffee shop and took a seat at one of the tables there, the waitress who was working in that section was really annoyed. He was just a child and he wasn’t really going to spend a lot of money! She thought he was wasting her time…

It was her job, after all, to serve customers, paying customers of course, but no matter how little they ordered they are still paying and valued customers, right?

She went to the table an put a glass in front of his face…

He said to her, innocently:

“Miss, how much is an ice cream sundae?”

She said:

“Fifty cents”

He was quiet like he was thinking a little and looked down then he asked her the cost of a regular ice cream.

The waitress at this stage was growing impatient with the little boy. There was a line building up over at the door and she wanted to get on and seat all the people building up waiting for seats.

She replied to him, quite impatiently:

“A plain cup of ice cream is 35 cents”

The little boy decided to order the regular ice cream, he gave her his menu with a smile.

Just a few minutes after she returned with the ice cream and the bill then walked off without saying anything.

The little boy politely sat there, he ate his ice cream and, paid for it and left!

The waitress soon saw that the table was empty and was sighed relief that the child had not taken up too much of her time, she went straight over to the table and cleared up, quickly preparing it for the next customers.

Just at that moment, she was clearing up the table she was something at the table that really deeply touched her and made her feel so incredibly sad!

It was a tip the little boy had left her a 15 cent tip, he had given her the rest of the money he had, how amazingly kind and sweet!

She was stunned and stood there, paused for a moment thinking about what the little boy had done. The only reason he couldn’t afford an ice cream sundae was that he included her tip in his costs

The waitress was overcome with guilt, how could she have been so cold towards him and selfish? The tears welled up in her eyes the more she thought about it and her conversation with the little boy, he gave up his sundae to give her a tip!

Maybe if we do actually think of other more, before ourselves then the world would actually be a better place, SHARE this with your friends and family, make the world a better place.

Every family is unique and certainly, there are not many families in America like Madeleine’s family! Her parents were only teenagers when she was born, young and unprepared for family life they still refused to give up on their baby girl and each other!

With all odds against them, Madeleine’s family managed to rise above it all. She posted this picture online when graduating high school and it truly shows their perseverance!

“We made it TOGETHER. My mom was 15 while pregnant with me, she had me at 16. My dad was 17. The original picture is from June 2000.

My parents were judged a lot during this time but stayed strong together. They both lived with their parents but were raising me together. They were determined to make it and provide me with a future. My dad worked full time in construction and my mom was still playing soccer.

Today, they have a strong, loving marriage. They purchased a beautiful home. My mom is a stay-at-home mom and my dad has a great career as a longshoreman. I have two little sisters that are following in my footsteps.”

Madeleine’s family has overcome so many obstacles, laughing in the face of life’s challenges. This picture is the perfect representation of Madeleine’s wonderful childhood and her supportive family.

Life has its ups and downs, but Madeleine is lucky, she knows her parents will always be by her side, no matter what! This picture shows how happy and proud they are of their little girl graduating high school! They’re also very proud that she’s off to college and bettering herself.

There are some really amazing people in this world, as adults, we have a good sense of what to do in most situations, but as a toddler, it’s much more difficult to know what to do, which makes this story even more amazing…

Toddlers do have a basic idea of right and wrong but past that it’s difficult, as an adult we know for sure when we encounter a difficult situation but as a toddler, it’s not so clear.

This toddler had an instinct that there was a danger, that she really needed help and she knew how to dial the police ‘911’ service…

How this three-year-old knew that she needed help we may never really know, or how she knew to call 911 in an emergency, but she did…

One day, home alone apart from another baby, all by herself, she made a decision,it would change her life forever!

A lot of kids might dial 911 because they don’t know any better, there are countless times when officers have turned up and only find there are children that called 911 because of thy needed help with their homework, or some other insignificant reason that wasn’t really legitimate.

There have been cases where children have saved the lives of a member of their family by calling the police, like the case where a five-year-old saved the life of his father after he saw him lying on the ground.

This little girl though saved herself and a little one-year-old boy!

Police officers arrived at the trailer park hole and they were shocked at what they found there!

The anonymous three-year-old girl called 911 and spoke to the operator for over eight minutes until the sheriff’s deputies arrived there.

The girl and the baby boy was in the trailer in Oak Park, Florida, alone, the trailer was dirty inside and there were three dogs inside with them.

Both the children have dirty diapers on ad=nd dog feces was all over, two dogs were caged in the kitchen and one was running loose and quite aggressive.

Most shocking of all was that there was an unsecured gun within reach of the children. There was a gun there to that one of the children could have gotten hold of!

The authorities sad that the refrigerator was virtually empty…

About two hours later Yajaira Tirado was found and charged with two counts of child neglect with no harm.

She said:

….”she had only been gone for five minutes”

…to get groceries from a neighbor, but later admitted to the fact that really she lied about it. Tirado also told officers that she believed the shotgun was not working and broken.

A member of the family was called to the home, and the children are now in his custody thankfully. The Department of Children and Families have been called to investigate the case.

Life in today’s world is pretty hard as is being a parent, but to be a single parent is even harder than that. Ashton Matheny is doing everything he can to raise his daughter on his own even though he is in a unique situation himself.

Ashton Matheny is the boyfriend of Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind, she is 22 years old, at eight months pregnant she had been murdered for her baby.

The Bismarck Tribune said that Savanah disappeared one day after her neighbor asked her for some help. Some five days later the police found Savanah and Matheny’s daughter with the neighbor.

The neighbor and her boyfriend were later charged with conspiracy to commit murder and kidnapping, also with giving false information to the police.

Matheny said:

“All I wanted was a life with Savanna and my baby …But they took it from me. My world’s gone, man. They took my world from me.”

Savanah’s body was found a few days after over in the Red River, what an awful thing it was!

Matheny told everyone about his long-term girlfriend that he had planned to marry!

He said:

“She would have been the best mom ever …She was so good with kids.”

The baby who is called Haisley Jo is really healthy and thank goodness, after being born four weeks early it’s really great that he is so healthy!

Matheny said that:

“She’s my miracle baby …She was perfect coming in.”

Matheny will have a steep hill ahead of him to climb, he is now learning to not just cope with the loss of his loved one, but also learning to raise his daughter all by himself.

He said:

“It was pretty overwhelming”

The really great thing is how he is approaching the thing, he says that he really and absolutely loves being a dad and adores his little girl!

He said:

“She’s beautiful …She’s Savanna all the way.”

At the young age of twenty-two years, the father of this little girl now has to be mother and father to Haisley Jo. He bathes, feeds, changes her, all the time trying to get enough sleep to get the job done as best as he can!

He said:

“I have to go over a checklist every time I leave the house”

He is playing the role of dad and being strong but all the tile he is taunted by what happened, it really doesn’t feel real at all.

He says:

“I feel like I’m living a nightmare”

Although its been really hard for him that his parenting skills have improved and now that he has sole routines to follow he is getting along well and Haisley Jo is really happy, however, nothing numbs the pain of losing Savanah!

Matheny said:

“I have dreams of Savanna almost every night …My dreams about her have been frequent lately. She’s in my dreams all the time. Everyone says you have your daughter to look forward to (raising). And I do. But that doesn’t bring back Savanna. Nothing will.”

There is one thing for sure about snow and ice when it comes to winter time, it guarantees that you have equal shares of accidents and hilarity! This is no exception, his icy driveway won’t let him win…

This truly funny video gave so many people aching sides, you can see this guy getting on with his chores, putting out the garbage, well trying to…

He has one unexpected obstacle though, a perilously icy driveway that just completely refuses to let him get to his own gate!

The garbage truck makes its rounds and its routine stop, this English guy goes down to put his trach out. He didn’t bargain for the fight he was about to have.

What usually takes just a few minutes turns into a hilarious comedy sketch, a slapstick scene that lasts forever, poor guy!

He takes it up to a certain point, then just before the natural incline in his driveway, with his smooth soled shoes let him down. Repeatedly he gets to just the same spot and the trash bin pulls him right back again.

The guy was really determined though, the trash was not about to beat him, his determination to get the trash out really had his family in stitches.

In the end, his wife called him and told him to try pushing the Trash instead of trying to keep pulling it, but that just leads to the most amazing backslides!

As this was all going on the Garbage truck backed out of their alley and started to go down the next lane, but even then the guy didn’t give up, he was so determined.

At last, he had a revelation and he used the grass on the edge to get to the gate, it was a great plan until he got to the gate, then he had to slide along the driveway to get to the gate latch and open the gate!

He opened the gate with one hand then the trash started rolling back again, this time though the guy used the gate to anchor himself, hanging on for dear life!

He was pulled until he was right on the road nearly, but he plain refused to give in in the least bit.

All that battling enabled him to actually pull the trash bin through the gate, then slapped the gate shut!

It just goes to show that determination and persistence pay off, in the end, every time, and while he didn’t catch the Garbage truck that day, he beat it!

He finally pulled the trash can through the gate and slammed it shut.

He may not have caught up to the garbage truck that day, but he conclusively proved that persistence is the key to winning all wars. Even the ones against icy driveways and runaway trash cans!

Receiving gifts is really great, but the whole process of both finding and giving a gift is the best and pleasurable part of the process. To see the person’s reaction is completely satisfying, especially to that special someone.

That feeling you get when you search for and find a special gift, a really heartfelt gift for a special person in your life, it’s a real deeply precious feeling!

Bill and Linda Modry were looking forward to just that, they were on their way to see their goddaughter, newly adopted, and they were very excited.

They were so incredibly pleased that they could welcome the little girl to the family, and to give her a special gift to remember the occasion of coming into the family forever more.

They had a shock at the airport though, as they went through security they were forced to throw the gift in the airport security trash!

Waiting at the Airport security were Amarri Hernandez and her boyfriend, they were at the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport and they saw it all happen almost right in front of them.

Amarri said in a Facebook post:

“I witnessed a man being told that he was not allowed to take his package on the plane …The guy looked at the officer and said ‘Could I leave it at the airport in the lost and found. It’s a snowglobe for my adopted grandchild.’”

Amarri goes on:

“The officer replied ‘Put it in file 13’ and pointed at the garbage can …The man was hurt and threw it in the garbage.”

Amarri watched the man, quite hurt, walk away from the Trash, tears in his eyes, it really struck a note with her, she felt compassion and sadness for him. They both felt his pain and her boyfriend went to the trash to retrieve it.

They opened the package and in it was a snowglobe, it really touched them, there were photos of the couple and the little girl…

It was engraved with the lovely message saying:

“We love you Katie, Nana and Papa 1/25/16”

Amarri took action she posted the pictures of the gift, she was dead set on finding the rightful owners of the gift and reunite it with the couple.

Not surprisingly her post went viral, it was shared over 40,000 times. Very luckily it caught the right persons eye!

An employee of a company that made the snow globe saw it, ‘Things Remembered’, and when they saw her post they got in touch!

They searched their records to find the person they sent the snow globe to, it was Linda Modry. Amarri could send the item back to them, it was only then she realized how special it was!

Linda said:

“She’s exceptional …This was something very special …It was for my granddaughter Katie because my son adopted her.”

She said that her granddaughter was really sad when Linda couldn’t bring the snowglobe to her in Ohio. Linda is so grateful to Amarri a,d her kindness.

Linda said:

“She’s just amazing. I can’t believe that she did this …People are basically really good, and she’s just exceptional.”

Amarri just keeps insisting that what she did was simply the right thing to do!

Amarri said:

“My mom raised us to always be good to people …I would want the same thing to happen to me.”

Kevin Blanford was overjoyed at first when he realized that he won a trip to Puerto Rico, but there was a big problem… Because he had a 7-month-old daughter he was not allowed to take his wife with him.

Kevin is a telecoms worker, he loves his wife and daughter, and nothing could make him feel sadder than taking the trip without them!

He really didn’t have a “single second of fun”.

He so wanted to show his wife how he felt about the trip without her and how much he didn’t have fun, at all!

He began to take a series of photos, he did an amazing job of looking sad on his tropical vacation without his wife!

He looked so sad in the photos that the hotel, when they saw them, really couldn’t stand by and do nothing…

Wyndham Rio Mar called him up and offered him a free repeat trip hotel stay with them, and a cruise, but this time he would get to bring his wife and little baby too.

They repeated all the photos he took, but this time you can really see he is happy!

What a difference !!

Even the little baby is having an awesome time!

One observer said: “I assume the baby is taking the pictures when not in frame.”

“You even put on the same shirts. That’s dad-level dedication!”

Every girl get to the day she has her first period, and it’s quite a normal thing of course, but for Chloe Christos, a Perth, Australia girl, things were very different when she just kept bleeding…

Chloe like most other girls looked forward to high school so much, the new things she would be doing, the big adventure that waited for her, and all the happy moments ahead!

But soon enough she would soon have to find out something would change her life forever, in the most unexpected way!

The tipping point for Chloe was after she had her first period. After this first time, the bleeding just carried on, longer than a week, longer than a month!

It turned into five years, wow, poor Chloe was losing about a pint every four days…

Those five years were so hard, Chloe couldn’t do much of anything at all, she regularly fainted, her blood pressure was constantly low and she wasn’t allowed to go out in the car.

Chole said that the most frustrating part of the whole thing was that she loved to be physically active and that she couldn’t be anymore.

Periods were a sort of a taboo subject and Chloe knew it’s typically a personal thing, it was a little embarrasing.

She said:

“I knew it wasn’t quite right, but I was also embarrassed to talk about it. I felt very different and pretty alone.”

Five years of suffering was what it took before Chloe found the courage to look for help for her problem.

Chloe met frustration again as many doctors dismissed her problem as womens troubles:

The doctors wouldn’t take her seriously or treat her and ofter she was completely refused treatment at all even in the ER. As a female she felt she wasn’t being taken seriously at all.

Then, after some time she did manage to find a doctor who was gong to take her issue serioiusly and was going to diagnose her condition.

Chloe’s blood has low levels of a protein associated with hemophilia, just like Von Willebrand’s disease.

Combined, these indicated bleeding disorders, the kind that make it really difficult for blood to clot!

Chloe continued to suffer as the doctors continued to look for the solution to help her with her condition, they really struggled to do anyhting at all to help her.

She was started on a synthetc drug that was made to treat the low protien levels of the protein factor VIII in her body. The drug had really bad side effects but she carried on with it for seven years.

The success of it was incinsistent, and she had to take it all the time, she was desperately searching for better alternatives.

One doctor told her that the only option was to remove her uterus!

In the end she turned away from doctors and sought help in the Hemophilia Center in Adelaide, Australia. The Hemophilia Center had a little breakthrough and could give her an experimental synthetic drug, which had only previously been given to male patients.

Christos said:

“It’s the difference between being hospitalized for two weeks of the month and taking two paracetamol and having a heat pack for one day,”

Chloe said that, with the once a month injection, her periods are now normal, lasting just four to five days!

Chloe has dedicated her life to fighting her abttle and advocating for equal rights for other women with similar issues to her own.

She strives to help as many others as she can to recieve a proper diagnosis and traeatment that will work for them too.

One night this couple from Tallapoosa, Georgia, were relaxing, Courtney Waldon was a new mother and with her husband they were around the campfire, a regular thing they enjoyed together. What happened next would impact their lives forever…

The fateful day was the 30th September in 2016, Waldon’s life was going to change forever and the lives of her family consequently too!

Courtney had an accident that night and the campfire set her alight, covered in flames she suffered horrible burns to more than 40% of her body and her face was really burned badly over.

It happened very fast, she was standing near the fire and her husband made a terrible mistake, he stoked the fire with gasoline!

As fast as lightning her body was alive with fire, covered in flames and the pain was horrific!

Courtney said:

“It was horrible …It was the worst thing I had ever felt in my life.”

“I honestly thought I was going to die.”

Courtney’s future was firmly tied to the hospital ward, for the next 50 days she was in the ICU burns unit in the hospital, she needed multiple skin grafts and several operations.

Over the 24 months that followed she would need twelve more operations, she wouldn’t even recognize herself again the way she looked before.

Without looking the physical considerations, even then, she would have to deal with the psychological repercussions of such burns and how she would come to terms with it all.

She explained that just two weeks after that when she was released from the hospital, her husband abandoned her and her daughter…

Courtney was left with her daughter, Caroline, who was only four years old, to completely look after themselves, with her physical and emotional toll weighing heavy on her and a young daughter to care for it was almost impossible to cope!

Caroline, her daughter, said:

“I missed my mom when she was gone in the hospital”

Any 4 years old would be traumatized, but for this young girl, things seemed to get worse and worse.

And suddenly, they were homeless.

Courtney’s bills that were ever growing were quickly getting out of control, she wasn’t working so she had no income, she didn’t even know if she would ever work again.

Her injuries were really bad but especially on her hands, she didn’t know what was going to happen to her, just even in the immediate future.

Courtney couldn’t keep the roof over their heads and she had to leave their house, suddenly they were homeless and the pain and suffering were only going to get worse!

Something was about to happen to change it all though…

The local church and the community all banded together to share their love and support, the people of her community would all come together to help her!

Any good person would have done the same for her, but what this community did was of epic proportion, to say the least!

The news spread of her plight and her story of what had happened to her, everyone wanted to help her and her daughter.

Pastor Jon Ellis said:

“She asked there must be something we could do …When we asked our educators ‘What did Courtney need?’ All of them were in agreement that she needed a house.”

The Pastor went to the local construction guy, Mark Bradley to speak to him about what they could do for her.

Mark said:

“When Jon asked me about it, I was like, absolutely …Let’s do it.”

“It’s made me stronger today.”

Courtney’s tragedy has really taught her a lesson it was a hard lesson to learn but she is grateful to be here still.

She said:

“It’s made me stronger today”

Her parents are more grateful than anyone to have not lost their daughter in this terrible accident.

Courtney’s mom said:

“I was just devastated when she lost her house ..And then, all of the sudden, the community came together…and I knew that was probably the only way that she would ever be able to have her own home.”

Courtney and her daughter really had their faith in people restored, without even realizing they were bringing the community together and motivating people in the community.

The Pastor said:

“I just believe that, through Courtney, the building of this house and the process is allowing us to do greater things in the community …After this, our goal here is to build a city of refuge—a place where single moms or battered women, children, [and the] homeless would have a refuge to come to.”

As most of us know it’s pretty common to see a refrigerator in the workplace or office, it’s shared and very handy, until you feel like you are providing for others when they steal your stuff!

It’s also common to hear in workplaces that where people have shared spaces, sometimes people are tempted to help themselves to your stuff, very naughty!

Well, one woman had enough if this kind of behaviors in her workplace fridge, her coffee creamer was being used up, she really was disappointed and decided that it was time to take action!

The woman kept her coffee creamer in the staff refrigerator, she had an idea to teach the person a lesson that wouldn’t be easy to forget, it was so impressionable that it went viral online!

She taped a note to her coffee creamer container an put it back in the office refrigerator for every single person to see.

It said:

“Good Morning!”

“To whomever has been enjoying my coffee creamer all week … Surprise!!!”

“You’ve been drinking my”

“BREAST MILK”

“Hope you’ve enjoyed. Cheers!”

“-B”

“P.S. It’s organic. So no worries”

If it was true or not is anyone’s guess, but you can definitely know that the culprit probably had more than second thoughts about using it again!

Someone on Reddit, called Phantom0591, posted the photo of the note, it really gathered momentum and lots of different reactions!

The comments just went on and on like this, it really spurred some reactions, I think that many people can empathize having been in a similar position.

We would have loved to see the person’s reaction was stealing the coffee creamer when they saw the note, that would have been priceless!

Some of the responses were really hilarious, and I bet she felt a lot better after she left the note and had a little grin to herself!

Other people have had a little fun with her idea, and made some other clear labels for the office place!

Now and again in life, we sometimes encounter things that are so unbelievable that we think, no surely not! But sure enough this is one of those stories, it’s just so heartbreaking too!

A photographer, called ‘A.J.Laberinto’ took some really sad photos, it will surely make you sad to the pit of your stomach!

Around May of 2014, the photographer was walking the streets of Manila in the Philippines, he came across something he really had to capture on film!

Even now the photos are difficult to look at, but they do need to be shown to everyone and shared, even if it’s only to raise awareness and to see the darker side of humanity, the side we want to obliterate!

This naked toddler was sleeping in the middle of the streets, in public, on a busy staircase, there was not even one person who didn’t just walk straight past the toddler!

The photographer, Laberinto, was lost for words about it, he was shocked at what he had seen with his own two eyes! Not even one person gave more than a passing glance to the toddler as they went by.

All the people are accustomed to seeing homeless children on the streets, and begging on the streets that they all seem to have blinkers to it, like its just a normal everyday occurrence…

The photographer said on Facebook:

“There I was, camera–celfone rather, in hand turning around the corner when I saw the child. You see, only recently I’ve been taking pictures of whatever sight was in front of me strolling around Manila though not that many. So there I was, and for several seconds the baby lay there on the floor not dying but rather sound asleep. The passers-by having seen too many too much of street children and beggars knew already how to react: they just walked away.”

“After having finished taking the photos I then asked some familiar faces in the crowd, people who actually lived near those stairs, as to where the parent of that baby was. Lo and behold, a woman somewhat bedraggled with dirty clothes on showed up and immediately carried the baby away. All of this in a span of seconds. I bought the child food, by the way, four days ago and he’s still living in the streets the very bed to sleep in he ever knew.“

The cynicism and the sadness of a people whoa re so used to seeing this on the streets every single day is both touching and terrible! It truly shows the lack of humanity of some people in the world.
