Dad wants to buy parts for son’s walker but the store has a surprise

When sweet baby Logan was born, his parents Christian and Justin Moore were overly excited. Their bundle of joy was a vibrant little boy who brought so much joy into their lives.

At the beginning, Logan seemed to be developing just perfectly, but his parents noticed he had difficulties raising his head. This, of course, didn’t concern them a great deal as they knew not every child develops at the same pace. But as time passed by, they also noticed how Logan couldn’t sit up at the age he was supposed to be able to do it.

Christian and Justin took him to the doctor’s again, but this time, they were given some news they didn’t expect to hear. Logan had hypotonia, or a condition known as a floppy baby syndrome resulting in low muscle tone and reduced muscle strength.

The good thing is that this condition is treatable but it takes a lot of time and patience, something both Logan and his parents were more than willing to invest in order for him to be able to walk one day.

Christian and Justin tried different things in order to ease their only child’s movements. They bought him leg braces, but it wasn’t enough. Sweet Logan needed a walker as well. Sadly, the Moore’s health insurance wouldn’t give them a mobility walker, but they were determined to do all they can in order to get him one.

Justin then came up with the idea to build one. All he needed to do was buy some parts from Home Depot and follow the instructions that he found online. He hoped they wouldn’t cost a lot of money and was carrying Logan with him when he went shopping.

Once there, he asked the service desk manager, Cathy Ennsley, whether they had the parts he needed. She was curious to learn why he needed them, so Justin told her his son’s story. Cathy said she had to consult with the store’s manager and see whether they could help him with the parts. But she had something else in mind.

Namely, Cathy though Logan was very sweet and he definitely deserved to have his walker, so she told the manager how she wanted her and the employees to build it for Logan and surprise him and his father. The manager agreed and Cathy told Justin how some of the parts he was looking for were at the storage and asked him to return in an hour.

Justin had no idea the day will turn into one of the best in their life ever.

When they got back to the store, the workers had already constructed the mobility walker for little Logan.

When Justin saw it, he couldn’t believe his eyes. Cathy even told him how it was on them and he didn’t need to pay anything for it.

The smile on the boy’s face when he could finally make his first steps on his own, using just the walker, was enough for the manager and the employees at Home Depot. They were very glad they could step in for the family.

We hope Logan would be soon healthy and would walk without any kind of assistance. As for now, he’s doing his best and is glad there are kind people out there who make his life better.

Canadian Police Accepts a Challenge, Gets Whole Town Involved as They Perform to Backstreet Boys Song

Canada is dubbed one of the most peaceful countries in the world. So, does that mean that its police doesn’t have a handful of criminals to deal with? Luckily, it’s exactly like that.

The police officers of Saskatoon had some free time while at the job so they decided to make the citizens have some fun while watching them perform at one of the best songs from the 90’s, Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way.”

Many of you may have already forgotten this huge hit, but these officers are here to refresh your memory and remind you of the time when this boys’ band was stealing the hearts of many both with their hits and their appearance.

Source: Saskatoon StarPhoenix/YouTube

The video starts with two of the officers in the station discussing whether one of them recognizes any of the people in the lineup. And as one would assume that lineup consists of criminals, it doesn’t. Instead it consists of other cops. The officer than says how he remembers the “suspect” sang I Want It That Way after which they ask the cops in the lineup to sing the song one by one.

Seconds later, they all sing together in a perfect harmony.

Source: Saskatoon StarPhoenix/YouTube

The challenge then shows other police officers lipsyncing the hit while at the airfield. The story continues at the bridge and then at the banks of a river. Honestly, it just gets better and better as you watch it. We are sure they spent a lot of time practicing this awesome dancing and singing routine.

Source: Saskatoon StarPhoenix/YouTube

The best part is when some of the cops enter a doughnut shop and sing to what is known as police officers’ most favorite food; doughnuts, of course. It’s both entertaining and hilarious and we can’t stop watching what these guys have prepared for us.

Source: Saskatoon StarPhoenix/YouTube

The video ends with the two of the cops who were at the dark room at the start of the song dancing together with mascots. The public follows and takes part in the singing and performing.

This truly is something that we don’t get to see every day. Police and the public having fun and making everyone laugh.

Source: Saskatoon StarPhoenix/YouTube

After the video was posted on YouTube, it gathered many people’s attention. Up to date, it has been seen more than 300,000 times.

This truly is an awesome way for the police to spread the message that no matter the job they do, like fighting crime and making sure everyone is safe and sound, they are just ordinary people like us who need to have some fun from time to time.

Check how these officers pulled this challenge in the video below. You are going to love it!

12-year-old Boy Held His Dying Twin Brother in His Arms All the Way to Hospital

The Northwest Indiana shooting that took place earlier this month left a 12-year-old boy dead.

Demetrius Townsel Jr. was shot while he and his twin brother Darius were at the backseat of the car when someone opened fire at them at around 9:30 p.m.

Darius tried saving his brother’s life by putting pressure on the gunshot wound while on the way to the Methodist Hospital, two miles away from where the shooting took place. Sadly, Demetrius didn’t make it.

The boy’s mother, Catherine Brown is heartbroken and pleas the public to come forward with any information that would help lead to the killer.

“I can’t hold my baby anymore. Please turn yourself in,” she said in tears.

The whole family is mourning the loss of the boy whom his brother describes as the funniest person he knows.

Demetrius’ stepfather, Lenearl Lightfoot said, “It’s unfortunate that something like this would happen to a 12-year-old child.”

“I was a victim of gun violence myself. The first time I got shot I was 12 years old. Makes me more determined to find out who did this to him.”

GoFundMe / Demetrius Jr.’s Funeral

Police are still investigating and are hoping to track the killer down. They are offering $2,000 reward to anyone who will help them identify the gunman who took an innocent life. If you have any information please contact 1-800-U-TELL-US (1-800-883-5587).

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family with the funeral expenses.

The whole community is still in shock by this tragic incident and are praying for the late boy’s family to have strength to endure the pain of the loss.

Rest in peace Demetrius, you are dearly missed.

Boy selling food to earn a living is ambushed by bullies who slap and throw him to the ground while recording it

This story contains graphic descriptions and video content some readers may find disturbing.

Stories of bullying always cause rage at us. Schools and governments have to find a way to cope with this huge problem that affects many young children, as well as adults. Being a victim of bullying can result in low self-confidence and many other issues that may never fade away.

This is the story of Rizal, a 12-year-old boy who triggered compassion from many people after a video of him being bullied emerged online. It reached to the government of Indonesia and Rizal is finally getting help after suffering long time of abuse by bullies, among which a 26-year-old man named Firdaus.

Rizal comes from a poor family from a small village in Tala District, Indonesia. He and his two brothers are doing all they can to help their parents make ends meet. Rizal rides a bike and sells fried food, but he’s often confronted by the bullies who not only offend him, but beat him too.

The video that was taken on May 17 by the bullies themselves, show them ambush Rizal and throw his food after they surround him and make fun of him.

Unable to defend himself, the poor boy falls on the ground as the bullies continue to call him names and slap him.

The full videos have since been taken off Facebook.

“The victim suffered abrasions on his hand because he was pushed by the perpetrator,” said Ipda Sofyan, Ma’rang Police Chief, Detik News reports.

The case gathered national attention and a great number of people appeared at the Sector Police Station to show support to Rizal and his family after the bullies had been identified and taken to the station. “We have already submitted this case to the Pangkep Regional Police for further proceedings, because there were a crowd of residents and victims’ families in front of the Ma’rang Police Headquarters,” Sofyanto said.

TribunNewsmaker reported how a member of the Indonesian Parliament, Dedi Mulyadi, contacted Rizal’s family and offered support. He said, “Although often bullied, Rizal never complained. He remained strong to help his mother sell jalangkote, I am very sympathetic to what he is doing.”

Members of the community gathered together and got Rizal a brand new bike. He’s getting support from all over the country and we honestly hope he will never experience any form of bullying in his life.

Woman Swims into Sea, Gives Birth in Front of Tourists

Creating a new life inside your body is a miracle itself, and giving birth is one of the most cherished occurrences any mother can ever experience.

Many mothers-to-be are terrified by the though of getting into labor as they know the pain of giving birth can be unbearable. For that reason, they are taking yoga classes that would teach them how to relax and breathe properly, which would hopefully lessen the pain that comes along with the process.

Most women, of course, give birth at hospitals, in the presence of doctors and midwives. But there are also those, who are either more courageous or maybe more adventurous, and decide to have their babies at unusual places such as at home, in a bath tube, or even the ocean.

Recently, a woman gave birth in The Red Sea and stunned not only the tourists who witnessed the miracle of life, but also people from all around the world who got to hear her story.

According to witnesses, the family was from Russia and they had their baby in the town of Dahab, Egypt.

The Red Sea is the expanse of water that separates North Africa from the Middle East and it has one of the warmest, yet saltest waters.

The mother was accompanied by her partner and an older man who was probably a doctor.

When they first heard someone screaming in pain, the tourists thought a person was attacked by a sea predator, but they soon realized what was really going on and gathered around the mother-to-be.

You have to admit, the waters of The Red Sea have to be the most unusual maternity ward ever, right?

Once the baby was out, the doctor took it in his hands while the woman’s partner carried the placenta. Oh, what a sight that had to be.

The crowd cheered and congratulated the new parents on their bundle of joy.

Still in shock by what they saw unfolding in front of their eyes, they left the mommy and daddy to spend some time with their baby alone.

The two took the baby in their arms and cuddled for some time.

No matter how cool it looks, doctors warn mothers-to-be to give birth at hospitals, as the sea is not the best place for a newborn to be welcomed.

According to doctors, many mothers opt to give birth out of the hospitals, but it has its downs. “Even in the presence of a medical professional, an ocean birth could be harmful,” doctors say.

But, many young moms are ignoring the warnings, so sea and ocean births are becoming a trend in recent years.

If you are by any chance considering such birth, please consult with your doctor and beware of the risks it brings.

Mom marks 15 years since the disappearance of her teen daughter Natalee Holloway with an important message

18-year-old Natalee Holloway went missing while on a school graduation trip to Aruba. Her mother, Beth Twitty, marks 15 years since her daughter’s disappearance and hopes no other parent would ever have to deal with such heartbreaking loss.

Pinterest

This mother remembers how she was told that Natalee didn’t show up at the hotel on the day they were about to leave the place after a night out in a club called Carlos’n Charlie’s. It was reported that the girl had been spotted driving off in a grey Honda with some local men and it was the last time anyone saw her.

NBC6 News

The main suspect in the disappearance of the Mountain Brook High School Alabama graduate was Joran van der Sloot. However, the case has never been solved and this man is currently serving a 28 year sentence for a murder of another woman.

Twitty is still hoping she will some day be able to learn the truth behind her daughter’s disappearance on that tragic day. Today, Twitty is sharing her story with students and warns them to be extra careful. Recently, she spoke in front of a group of students in Tennessee and said, “Natalee let her guard down for a moment and in that moment she vanished.”

ABC News

“I do hope these students will be able to connect with Natalee’s story and somehow apply these personal safety and travel safety messages,” she said.

Thief ends up in a headlock under a biker’s arm after trying to steal from a veteran

They say what goes around comes around, and that is one of the reasons why we should always be kind towards everyone we meet. But not every person is kind. Some are bad, just like this awful thief who tried to steal the wallet from a veteran. But what he didn’t know is that karma would strike back right away.

The incident took place in Stafford, England and was shared by a witness named Martin Burrows who filmed the whole thing. According to him, the thief noticed the pensioner was collecting donations for the Royal British Legion and decided to get the money for himself. But things didn’t really turn as he expected because of a group of bikers who stood for the old man.

The members of the Oxleather Motorcycle Club heard a woman who witnessed the stealing scream, “Stop, thief!”

So just seconds after he mugged the poor veteran, the bikers caught the thief and held him in a headlock until police arrived.

The awful man wanted to turn things around and started screaming how he was assaulted, but all the onlookers were convinced the bikers didn’t really assault him, only tried to teach him a lesson. Thankfully, Martin had it all on tape in case the thief tried to press charges against the bikers.

Soon after, police came at the scene and arrested the thief. He really got what he deserved for stealing from the elderly veteran.

Mom wants her 14-year-old daughter to have plastic surgery because “ugly people get nowhere”

Nowadays, many people believe looks is all that matters. Going under the knife and spending huge amounts of money on facial and body improvements for the sake of looking younger and more attractive is not something new as many people do it.

Carla Bellucci from UK is one of them. This mom of three had plenty of corrective surgeries throughout the years, but what caused stir and outrage is that she wants her 14-year-old daughter Tanisha to do the same.

If you wonder why would a mom force her daughter to undergo many beauty treatments from such young age is because according to her, “ugly people get nowhere.” Luckily, UK laws prohibit cosmetic surgeries on minors, so Tanisha “only” gets regular nail treatments, hair extensions, and eyebrow tinting for what Carla spends around $240-per-month.

But as Carla is determined to make her daughter look more beautiful and have the Kardashian look, she puts $150 on the side each month so that Tanisha could get her lip fillers once she turns 16.

Speaking to Closer Magazine, this 37-year-old mother said, “Tanisha isn’t the most academic of girls, so I don’t really care about her education, unlike with my boys. She will need to rely on her looks to get on in life so she will need to be perfect.”

And yes, if Tanisha is about to resemble the members of the Kardashian clan, she will have to get a surgery to fix her “flat” bottom.

“If she wants to be a successful influencer and reality star then she will have to fit the look of the time – so surgery is the obvious option. She’s good looking, but surgery will make her prettier,” Carla added. She is convinced Tanisha will get new veneers and breast implants once she reaches 18. On top of that, this mother is planning on paying for her daughter’s Brazilian bum-lift, which is highly popular but controversial cosmetic procedure that involves the transfer of fat to help create more fullness in the backside.

This particular procedure has been reported to be extremely risky, but Tanisha doesn’t care much. She says, “I know what I want and I’ll find the best way to get it. Surgery doesn’t worry me. Mum’s had it and she’s fine.”

This mother’s words and actions had people worried. They believe she should teach her daughter that real beauty comes from within. What are your thoughts on this?

If you’ve ever seen the movie “The Legend of 1900,” you know it’s about a kid found on a cruise ship who grew into a remarkable musician abroad the boat. If you loved this story as much as we did, we now present you another person who shares the same talent and has performed on many many cruise ships throughout the years.

Tommy Johnson, or as he calls himself, the real “Boogie Man,” has also worked with a great number of starts. However, his nickname is not related to the mythical creature scaring little children who show disobedience, but to his out-of-this-world piano skill. This “Boogie Man” takes boogie woogie to a completely new level and steals the hearts of pretty much everyone who ever stumble upon his piano playing.

Believe it or not, Tommy taught himself to play the piano when he was just four years old, and at the age of seven, he had his first public performance on The Horace Heidt Show. Two years latter, this music prodigy was featured in Life Magazine. Today, he’s 80 years old, but he’s still charming audiences wherever he appears to perform.

“My intention is to take people of all ages on a magical musical tour where they can forget their everyday troubles and woes and find happiness for an hour or two either in concert or with my CD’s. I am eternally grateful for the gift given to me and I want to share it with you,“ he writes about himself.

He plays with such ease that it makes us believe we could do it as well. His music is smooth and so entertaining that you always want to return for more.

People love his playing and can’t help but comment.

Boogie woogie is a music genre that gained its popularity during the late 1920s and was developed by the African-American communities in the 1870s. It’s very distinctive and I don’t think there is a single person who doesn’t love listening to it being performed on the piano.

“It brings a giant smile to my face to know that I can make somebody’s day a little brighter with the simple things that I enjoy.  I love to hear from you all, no matter how big or small your comments are… they all mean so much to me,” Tommy wrote in a comment.

Daughter Installs Camera to Keep Mom Safe, Unwittingly Records Trash Collector’s Kind Deed

Since the moment we are born, our parents do all in their power to see us happy and thriving. Many times, they sacrifice a lot to see us turn into decent humans, so when they get old, it’s fair from us to return the favor.

Colette Kingston has always had an amazing relationship with her parents and believe they are the reason she is now the person she is. So when her father passed away, her mom Opal Zucca was left on her own. Colette though it would be for the best if Opal moved in with her and her husband. But knowing how independent her mother is, she knew she would refuse the invite. And that’s exactly what happened.

Source: Colette Kingston/Facebook

Although Colette trusted her mom living by herself, she was still worried at times, as Opal was in her late eighties, so she visited her very often.

As time passed by, Opal was diagnosed with dementia and Colette again offered her to move in with her, but she said no again.

Source: Colette Kingston/Facebook

Eventually, Colette came up with the idea to install a security camera in front of Opal’s home that would register any movement outside. That’s how she saw her mom being involved in an accident one day. As the elderly lady was trying to move the trashcan away from the street, she slipped and fell, hitting her head.

When Colette saw this, she panicked and rushed to her mom’s place just to see the sanitation worker helping Opal getting on her feet. He then walked Opal inside the house and took the trashcan to the driveway. Colette was very grateful this man, Shelby, stepped in for her mom. From that moment on, Shelby checked on Opal every time he would empty her trashcan.

Colette sees Shelby engaging in conversations with her mom, and she’s happy he became her friend. Knowing he’s around, Colette is at ease and knows her mom is safe. Recently, she posted a video of Opal and Shelby on Facebook. He could be heard saying, “You are looking good. I like that hair. You got it down. I got to work on mine,” and then waves goodbye.

“Simple” Math Equation Sparks War on Social Media

The Internet used to be the place people reached for whenever they needed instructions or information, but nowadays it seems it’s a place they use to vent their frustrations and many times get into arguments with people they’ve never met. And sometimes, a “simple” math equation can be enough reason for a “war” to start between social media users. If you wonder what we are speaking about hear this.

Just recently, someone posted this on Facebook, 8 ÷ 2(2+2) = ?, and wrote, “only 1 in 1,000,000 can solve this simple equation.” Well, based on the stir it caused, it’s not that simple after all.

Based on what thousands of people commented, the opinions are divided between the following answers, 1 and 16.

Even different calculators give different results.

Of course, not everyone is trying to find the answer to this mysterious math problem. Believe me, many are here because of the comments and people’s arguments.

It turns out that politics isn’t the only topic that makes people feel like they have to share their opinions about. Psychologists say that the huge number of people “fighting” about things like this equation is that they have to show the rest of the online world how smart they are.

Academic Sian Beilock of the University of Chicago says that when these debates of who’s right and who’s wrong make people feel like jerks at the end once they realize they are investing too much time and energy convincing others why their answer is the best one. “Often people feel the most stressed when the audience is made up of people they know. It’s very painful to fall on your face in front of your friends and family,” Beilock explained.

When we were at school, teachers taught us that mathematics is a subject without ambiguity, so how is it possible for a math task to have two different answers? Mathematicians explain that same as the syntax of a language, equations are solved by “reading” them the proper way, or ordering the operations the right way. PEMDAS, which stands for Parentheses Exponents Multiplication Division Addition Subtraction is how we were told operations are ordered. Based on this common knowledge, the answer to this popular equation is 1. But is it really like that?

This simple task really shows the lack of our educational system to teach students the ambiguity and the beauty of the subject of mathematics.

Most of the social media users who provided an answer agree that what is in parenthesis should be calculated first, the problem arouses when they have to decided whether division or multiplication comes next. Based on what you choose to do first, the answer is different, of course.

In such cases, we use the most common standard convention, which says operations are done from from left to right. What it means in this case is that division comes first and the correct answer is 16.

Steven Strogatz, a professor of mathematics at Cornell, said, “No professional mathematician would ever write something so obviously ambiguous. We would insert parentheses to indicate our meaning and to signal whether the division should be carried out first, or the multiplication.”

At the end, we have to agree that our education system many times fails to teach us how to think outside the box, a so-much needed trait for solving many everyday problems.

Lonely Elderly Lady Sticks a Touching Note on Building’s Front Door Asking Neighbors to Help Her

If you have a bigger family you live with under one roof maybe the social distancing we are forced to respect because of the coronavirus pandemic won’t fall hard on you. Sadly, there are people who live all alone and they find it hard to cope with the lockdowns and not being able to socialize with their family and friends. This is especially true for the elderly citizens, which can be seen from this story about a loving 72-year-old lady from London.

Source: Schriever Air Force Base

She has always been independent, but now, because of this social distancing thing, she needed the help from her neighbors and she wasn’t afraid to ask for it. Namely, she ran out of books and DVD’s and was getting quite bored without any so she stuck a note on the front door of the building where she resides.

The note, that later vent viral, said how she was spending her days “going round the twist” without any books to read. But will her neighbors be so kind as to answer to this lady’s recquest?

Source: Connie Bliff/Twitter

The answer will surprise you.

One of the neighbors, Connie Bliff, who took the photo of the note and later shared it online, rushed upstairs to grab some of her books and DVD’s she believed this lady would find enjoyable. But as she went to her front door, she saw many of the neighbors already offered their books as there was a pile there.

The elderly lady couldn’t believe how kind and generous her neighbors were, so she stuck another note thanking everyone for taking their time and thinking of her.

Source: Connie Bliff/Twitter

Maybe this doesn’t sound like much, but it’s obvious it meant the world to this lady.

After Connie shared both notes on Twitter, she didn’t expect so many people to see them and retweet them. Some of the comments said:

Source: Connie Bliff/Twitter

This story helped Connie raise awareness of the importance of helping the elderly during these tough times for the humanity. She asked from people to help their lonely neighbors as much as they can.

Don’t forget that even the smallest acts of kindness can truly go a long way.

Grandma Pays for Hot Dogs, Her Sister Insists on Paying Her Back and It Leads to a Hilarious Argument

Did you get the chance to check one of the best YouTube accounts out there, that of Grandma and Ginga? If not, this is your chance to see one of their cutest and most hilarious videos.

These two sisters are living by the rule that no one should ever pay for their stuff, but themselves. They don’t even want to take money from one another. But what happens when one of them tries to buy the other one some hot dogs? Well, you have to check that out yourself.

Genevieve and Arlene, who go by the names Gee and Ginga were driving around with Gee’s daughter when Ginga payed for the hot dogs. Of course, Gee who is the older sister, 104 years old to be exact, was looking for some money in her purse. When she finally found them, she rolled the cash and handed it to Ginga, who is 99 years old. And that’s when their argument started.

“Hey Arlene, take this,” said Gee. But Gee pretended she had no idea why her sister was offering her money and kept asking, “What is it for?” to what Gee answered, “Take it. I’ll tell you later what it’s for.”

Gee insisted her sister take the money as much as Ginga refused to do so. She even tried to persuade her saying, “I’m getting tired holding it.”

At one point, Ginga revealed the very much obvious reason for their senseless “argument” saying, “I bought those hot dogs.”

Gee’s daughter have seen these kinds of situations many times before, so she was just waiting for the outcome of the “money fight” between these lovely sisters.

And yes, as expected, Gee would stop at nothing until she makes Ginga take the money for the food she bought. But when Gee says, “Please take it! You went and got all the hot dogs,” Ginga replies, “So what? I don’t give a shit.”

Someone watching this hilarious video wrote, “Love old people who talk like sailors lol…”

In fact, understanding the next part of their conversation was a bit hard, as all we heard Ginga say is, “You put your rambom buh. I’m not give you no napkins. Gee, I got you napkins. Gee, that haptom bee.” But as the video goes on, we understand she’s trying to threaten her sister that she won’t give her any of the napkins if she continues offering the money.

When the time came for Gee’s daughter to get some gas at the gas station she got out of the car, filled up the tank, and paid for it herself. Of course, she wasn’t ready for another money argument.

The video has been seen by more than 1.4 million people who agree how these two ladies are beyond sweet and hilarious. One person wrote, “One thing I admire about Ginga and that’s after watching all these videos, that she is a class act when it comes to handling money.. never wants free stuff and pays people right back in her own way. Respect!!”

You definitely don’t want to miss this video. Check it out below and make sure you share it with your friends.

5-year-old Girl Celebrates Last Day of Chemo with a Parade of 80 Cars

Rosie Schutter isn’t your ordinary 5-year-old girl. She’s a warrior who battled a 5-pound tumor and ended up winner. Now her family is celebrating life and are over the moon to have their sweet daughter home again, healthy and happy.

However, it isn’t just the members of her household who are excited for Rosie to be out of the hospital, but the rest of her family members and friends as well. However, because of the coronavirus pandemic and the social distancing that is taking place all over the world, they weren’t able to visit her in her home. That’s why they came up with a super cool idea, to organize a car parade in front of her house.

Seeing all those people being there just for her made sweet Rosie excited. She felt like a princess and waved at them as she greeted each and every one of the family members and friends with a huge smile on her face.

“It’s been four or five days here where we’ve only been able to video chat. So even just getting my wife and Rosie back home today was super emotional, but just to see our friends and family come by and see her light up, so excited,” said Steve Schuter, Rosie’s father.

Rosie was diagnosed with a rare kidney cancer that affects children some time ago, but had her surgery back in October 2019. Up until this day, she was receiving chemotherapy treatments, and this awesome car parade celebrated her last round of chemo.

All the signs and honks made this girl’s day even better. Steve said how she still has a couple more outpatient treatments, and this parade was the perfect thing to boost her spirit and remind her of how much she’s loved by everyone.

“She’s kind of become her old social self again. So something like this is just right up her alley. Just being able to see everybody and say hi and so I just absolutely love to see how happy it made her,” Steve added.

Nurse Tested Positive for Coronavirus Begged Doctors “Don’t Let Me Die”

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, when governments from all over the world are taking precautions that would help stop the spread of the virus, we realize that it’s our frontline healthcare workers who put their safety and even life on the line. For that, we are forever grateful. Sadly, there individuals aren’t spared and are very likely to be affected by the virus themselves.

One British nurse shares her story of how she got the disease and how she fought against it.

Kelly Ward, 35, recalls the day, April 19, when she first felt the symptoms. She told Daily Mirror how she suddenly felt weak when she finished her shift at the Bradford Royal Infirmary.

Kelly was sure that uncomfortable feeling was a result of lacking a rest, so she went home and decided to take some. But as it turned out, her symptoms only got worse as time passed by. Eventually, her line manager at the hospital advised her to call an ambulance and get tested for the virus.

She was tested positive and struggled to breath, so she was soon placed on oxygen and transferred to a high dependency unit. Kelly was worried and feared for her life, but it was after she agreed to be part of a clinical trial for the virus treatment that she got even more scared and started to panic.

“I was seen by the medical team who were quite concerned and wanted to put me on a CPAP machine to help my breathing and they wanted to do it NOW,” told Daily Mirror.

“I hadn’t seen my kids of Ryan, my family, my friends and what if I go worse and the treatment didn’t work.”

Kelly remembers begging her colleagues to not let her die.

Luckily, after 24 hours, Kelly started regaining her strength. The symptoms became milder and milder and she was finally released from hospital. Speaking of her battle against the coronavirus, she describes it as “blur.”

We are very happy Kelly recovered and is now doing great. We hope everyone who got infected will eventually manage to fight the virus off. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected and with our brave healthcare workers. You are our heroes!

Utah Couple Killed by Intruder While Their 3 Kids Slept Upstairs During the Fatal Attack

On April 18, the lives of two young parents of three, 31-year-old Tony and 30-year-old Katherine Butterfield, ended in a horrific manner. The two were killed in their own home while their children slept upstairs, unaware their mommy and daddy will forever be gone.

The attack was reported by one of the neighbors who heard screaming and gunshots. When the West Jordan police arrived at the crime scene, they found the body of Toni in the backyard, while Katherine’s was inside the home. A blood trail indicated that the two didn’t die without a fight and the killer was probably injured or stubbed before they managed to escape.

The news of the killing disturbed Utah citizens. The families of the couple were devastated. They mourned the loss of Toni and Katherine and were left heartbroken for their three angels who are now orphans.

The GoFundMe page set up to help raise funds for the sweet children read, “Our hearts are broken as we mourn the tragic loss of Tony & Katherine Butterfield and are concerned what comes next for their three surviving children… While we are so grateful that their children were not harmed, we are devastated at the loss of their loving parents.”

Those who knew her, describe Katherine as the most caring person ever. And the same goes for her husband Toni, who was said to be the best friend anyone could ever ask for. The GoFundMe page said Katherine was “a ray of sunshine with a vibrant smile” and Tony was “always ready with a witty remark that kept everyone laughing.”

The couple was further described as hardworking. They had their own business and Toni gave many people a job.

Katherine’s brother Aaron Crane said, “I had the privilege of working alongside Tony, and though problems would arise, I never once saw him complain or raise his voice. He was a well-balanced man.”

West Jordan police reported how they made a break in the investigation and arrested 31-year-old Albert Enoch Johnson who they believe is the person responsible of the killing. As for now, no formal charges have been pressed, however. His wife, 29-year-old Sina Johnson faces charges for obstruction of justice. She confessed how her husband, the suspect, knew the Utah couple as he tried getting a job in their landscaping company in the past.

Because of the ongoing pandemic, only few family members were allowed to attend the funeral of Toni and Katherine, and the rest could watch the service online. They all said how they will be there for the kids and will make sure they know how much their parents loved them.

The family hopes the GoFundMe page will help them raise enough funds to secure the children’s future.

“At this devastatingly difficult time, we sincerely request your generosity in making a donation, in honor of Tony & Katherine’s memory, to aid and support their beautiful little family,” the page says. “We know that there is nothing that we can do to bring back the parents of these dear children, but we earnestly hope that we can provide some measure of assurance and security for their future needs.”

We are so deeply saddened because of this tragedy. Our love and prayers are with the three children who lost their parents.

Terrified Mother Brutally Beaten by Husband as She Shielded 3-day-old Baby

A terrified mother from UK who got brutally attacked by her vicious husband is encouraging victims of domestic violence not to stay silent, because there is always a way out.

Kerry Armstrong got severely beaten while trying to protect her 3-day-old son and used her body as a shield. Her husband, Gary Peoples then assaulted Armstrong’s 13-year-old daughter who witnessed the attack over her mom and tried to prevent it.

The incident happened inside their family home, and Peoples wouldn’t let Armstrong get out. The poor woman couldn’t ask for help. But she eventually managed to escape the house and drove herself to her mom’s place. When her brother saw her bruised and bloody eyes and body, he immediately alerted the authorities.

Shortly after, Peoples was arrested and charged with domestic violence. He was sentenced to 20 months in prison.

Armstrong now spreads her story along with the photos of the injuries she sustained hoping other victims will be encouraged to step forward and prevent what is happening behind closed doors.

Domestic violence can affect everyone, but if we stay silent, no one would be there to lend us a helping hand.

“It has been quite a long time since this happened and it has been hard to get to this point,” Armstrong told BelfastLive.

“At times I just wanted to give up but I was determined to go through with it on behalf of other women who have suffered and who are still suffering from the effects of domestic violence.”

By sharing Armstrong’s story you will help her reach her goal of rising awareness of the devastating consequences of domestic violence.

Generous Woman Let Man Stay in Her Garage Temporarily– Now He Refuses to Leave

We tend to believe that the kindness we offer to others is what makes this world go round. But is it possible for the good deeds we do get us in trouble? Sadly, in the case of a kind-hearted woman named Silvia Arocha the answer to this question is yes.

When she met this man who was obviously down on his luck and trying to get down on his feet again she felt sorry and decided to let him stay in her garage. She used to rent the place that provided her with some additional income, but now she is left paying for the bills herself as it’s been three months already and the “guest” refuses to leave.

Speaking to Fox News, Sylvia who is 67 years old, says that she fears for her own safety and “feels like an idiot” for welcoming that man in the first place.

“He said he’s not going to move he has rights,” she added.

Sylvia is paying for his electricity bills, which are around $300 per month and that severely affects her finances.

The case has been reported to the police numerous times, not only by Sylvia, but her neighbors who complain of the man’s screaming and yelling.

Sadly, this woman is now unable to stay in her own home as she’s too afraid to be near this man’s side, so she spends time with family members.

“I’m afraid of him, I really am afraid of him,” Sylvia. “I don’t know what else to do.”

She truly hopes authorities will help her have this cruel man evicted from her garage as soon as possible. And we hope so too. But with the rule of banning evictions amid the coronavirus pandemic, it doesn’t seem likely to happen any time soon.

Baby dies after mother makes him drink vodka for a week so she could go partying

Nadezhda Yarych, a mother from hell, did the unimaginable. She killed her own son by forcing him to drink vodka so that she could go partying during the holiday season in her hometown of Shebekino in western Russia’s Belgorod Oblast region.

The poor baby, 8-month-old Zakhar stood on his mother’s way to be out with her friends and have fun, while he was home alone, knocked out, and getting sicker and sicker with each passing day. When she noticed the baby wasn’t feeling fine, she took him to hospital. But she certainly didn’t plan on staying there with him.

Doctors discovered little Zakhar had a viral infection and advised for him to spend a couple of days at the hospital so that he could be treated. But Nadezhda refused. She claimed she knew how to treat him using natural medicine and left the place.

During that week, she rushed her son to the hospital four more times, and each time, she refused for the baby to stay there. One of her relatives reported how she said she didn’t want to spend the holiday season at the hospital but out partying.

Aware of the severity of her son’s condition, this cruel woman made having fun her number one priority despite Zkhar’s suffering.

Sadly, Zakhar’s tiny body failed to fight with the infection without any medications, and passed away on January, 5. It was later discovered how the infection was a result of alcohol poisoning.

Nadezhda’s husband and little Zakhar’s stepfather was aware of what was going on in the house, but he didn’t do anything to prevent his wife from killing the baby. He failed to report the case.

The investigation is still ongoing and no charges have been pressed so far. Police have not commented the matter yet, but the public is asking for the killer mother to be placed behind bars.

Alcohol can be fatal for babies and little children, as in the case of Zakhar. Consuming it leads to the blood sugar levels to lower which may result in seizures and even coma as the brain isn’t getting enough glucose to function properly.

Mothers Plan a Surprise Reunion for a Long-Distance Couple with Down Syndrome

Of all love stories, Nick and Gabi’s is one of our favorite. These two first met at the annual National Down Syndrome Society convention in Detroit, Michigan, in April 2019, and clicked right away.

The newly made friends had a wonderful time during the conference, but somehow failed to share their contact numbers with each other. Nick, however, found Gabi on the social media and the two stayed in touch.

Nick’s mom shared a special moment from the conference, writing:

“The conference ends with a dance held by the organizers where the two were inseparable.”

In June, Nick and Gabi were overjoyed to attend another conference together, this time in Pittsburgh. They were able to meet in person and catch up. But the sad news was that there wouldn’t be any other events like this in the future, at least not any soon. That made both Nick and Gabi very sad. She even couldn’t stop her tears from falling, telling her mom how much she missed Nick already.

Gabi’s mom was devastated and didn’t want to see her daughter unhappy, so she came up with a plan involving Nick’s mom. They planned a reunion between their children and now the story, along with the video, are melting the hearts of people from all over the country and beyond.

“Mary, Gabi’s mom, reached out to me and we knew we had to do something to get them together. Mary booked a flight for her and Gabi to come to visit us in Canton. We decided we would try to surprise them. Mary told Gabi they were going to a conference…I told Nick a friend needed a ride home from the airport.”

Neither Gabi, nor Nick, knew what their moms did. Needless to say, it was the ultimate surprise. When Nick saw his girlfriend he missed so much, he fell on his knees before he rushed to her and gave her the most affectionate hug.

The video of the cute reunion has been seen more than 1.7 million times.

The lovebirds now have a shared Facebook page dedicated to their love and the journeys they are about to embark together in the future.

“Gabi and her mom will be joining our family for our annual Hilton Head Island beach vacation mid-September! It’s just a short drive from their home in Raleigh. We are all excited, but no one more than Nick and Gabi! The parents promised we would get them together at least once a month until something more permanent can be arranged.
In the meantime – thank goodness for unlimited talk, text and FaceTime!”

The love between Nick and Gabi is so strong that they have a hard time being separated from one another in a longer periods of time. Luckily, some great news came on September 27th, when Gabi shared with the world that Nick proposed to her. She did it by posting a photo of her wearing a beautiful engagement ring.

We hope the families will share photos of the wedding.

And for now, you can take a look at the video of the surprise reunion below.

Wife Gets a Letter from Walmart Explaining Why Her Husband Was Being Banned

Men and women have different perceptions about literally everything. Shopping, you say? And there you have a thrilled wife eagerly waiting to embark on an adventure visiting every shop out there, and a grumpy husband who prefers staying home instead of walking from aisle to aisle.

Well, one husband was “forced” to accompany his darling wife to the local Walmart and he found the “perfect” way to escape from this responsibility.

After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Walmart. Unfortunately, like most men; I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women – she loves to browse. Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter, from the local Walmart:

Dear Mrs. Harris:

Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion, in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to, ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Harris, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras:

1. June 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people’s carts when they weren’t looking.

2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

3. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women’s restroom.

4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, ‘Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away’. This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money. We don’t have a Code 3.

5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway.

6. August 14: Moved a, ‘CAUTION – WET FLOOR’ sign to a carpeted area.

Envato Elements

And there’s more on the list.

7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he’d invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.

8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, ‘Why can’t you people just leave me alone?’ EMTs were called.

9. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.

10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.

11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while, loudly humming the, ‘Mission Impossible’ theme.

12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his, ‘Madonna Look’ using different sizes of funnels.

13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled ‘PICK ME! PICK ME!’

14. October 22: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed;
‘OH NO! IT’S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!’

15. Took a box of condoms to the checkout clerk and asked where is the fitting room?

And last, but not least:

16. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile; then yelled very loudly, ‘Hey! There’s no toilet paper in here.’ One of the clerks passed out.

This made me laugh so hard, and it’s so worth sharing with everyone you know.

Mother Has Tears When Answering Her Daughter’s Question About Pregnancy

This incredibly touching story by Dale Hanson Bourke will leave no woman who has experienced motherhood indifferent. Being a mom means being a protector and a friends. It means being patient, selfless, and overly protective. Motherhood means more than any word can explain. It’s something that needs to be felt to be understood. This is for all the mothers out there whose days changed the moment they welcomed their bundle of joy in their life. You are the true superheros, never forget that.

“We are sitting at lunch one day when my daughter casually mentions that she and her husband are thinking of “starting a family.” “We’re taking a survey,” she says half-joking. “Do you think I should have a baby?”

“It will change your life,” I say, carefully keeping my tone neutral.

“I know,” she says, “no more sleeping in on weekends, no more spontaneous vacations.”

But that is not what I meant at all. I look at my daughter, trying to decide what to tell her. I want her to know what she will never learn in childbirth classes.

I want to tell her that the physical wounds of child bearing will heal, but becoming a mother will leave her with an emotional wound so raw that she will forever be vulnerable.

I consider warning her that she will never again read a newspaper without asking, “What if that had been MY child?” That every plane crash, every house fire will haunt her.

That when she sees pictures of starving children, she will wonder if anything could be worse than watching your child die.

I look at her carefully manicured nails and stylish suit and think that no matter how sophisticated she is, becoming a mother will reduce her to the primitive level of a bear protecting her cub. That an urgent call of “Mom!” will cause her to drop a soufflé or her best crystal without a moments hesitation.

I feel that I should warn her that no matter how many years she has invested in her career, she will be professionally derailed by motherhood. She might arrange for childcare, but one day she will be going into an important business meeting and she will think of her baby’s sweet smell. She will have to use every ounce of discipline to keep from running home, just to make sure her baby is all right.

I want my daughter to know that every day decisions will no longer be routine. That a five year old boy’s desire to go to the men’s room rather than the women’s at McDonald’s will become a major dilemma. That right there, in the midst of clattering trays and screaming children, issues of independence and gender identity will be weighed against the prospect that a child molester may be lurking in that restroom.

However decisive she may be at the office, she will second-guess herself constantly as a mother.

Looking at my attractive daughter, I want to assure her that eventually she will shed the pounds of pregnancy, but she will never feel the same about herself.

That her life, now so important, will be of less value to her once she has a child. That she would give herself up in a moment to save her offspring, but will also begin to hope for more years, not to accomplish her own dreams, but to watch her child accomplish theirs.

I want her to know that a cesarean scar or shiny stretch marks will become badges of honor.

My daughter’s relationship with her husband will change, but not in the way she thinks.

I wish she could understand how much more you can love a man who is careful to powder the baby or who never hesitates to play with his child.

I think she should know that she will fall in love with him again for reasons she would now find very unromantic.

Shutterstock

I wish my daughter could sense the bond she will feel with women throughout history who have tried to stop war, prejudice and drunk driving.

I want to describe to my daughter the exhilaration of seeing your child learn to ride a bike.

I want to capture for her the belly laugh of a baby who is touching the soft fur of a dog or cat for the first time.

I want her to taste the joy that is so real it actually hurts.

My daughter’s quizzical look makes me realize that tears have formed in my eyes. “You’ll never regret it,” I finally say. Then I reached across the table, squeezed my daughter’s hand and offered a silent prayer for her, and for me, and for all the mere mortal women who stumble their way into this most wonderful of callings.”

Little Girl Puts Money in Hat and Starts Chill Inducing Flash Mob

Nowadays, it seems like people are way too busy to hang out and socialize as often as they did in the past. Life’s pace increases and we barely take the time to enjoy the little things in life, so when we stumble upon at something miraculous as the flash mob in this video, we understand that we are missing a lot.

It all starts with a man wearing a tax and playing his instrument in the center of Sabadell, Spain.

People are gathered around him and enjoy the pleasant sound he produces while there is a hat on the ground for the tips to be dropped in.

As everyone was looking at this musician in awe, it was a little girl who approached to put some money in his hat, not knowing her act will trigger an incredible public performance that will steal the hearts of millions of people worldwide.

Once she put her money, she stood right in front of the man and couldn’t take her eyes off of him as he played Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy.” But then, a woman, carrying her own instrument joined the musician.

To everyone’s surprise, more and more musicians started appearing and adding to the incredible experience. Around 100 performers took part in the flash mob that touched heartstrings that day at the plaza.

People were mesmerized and glad to be witnessing such incredible concert happening right before their eyes. Organized by Banco Sabadell, a bank in Spain, to celebrate their 130th anniversary, the flash mob joined together professional musicians from the Lieder, Amics de l’Òpera, Vallès Symphony Orchestra, and Coral Belles Arts choirs.

This one-in-a-lifetime experience got even better when a choir of voices started singing the lyrics of this incredible Beethoven’s symphony. As people sang along many young kids couldn’t contain their joy and began dancing.

At one moment, the orchestra got quiet and passersby and the public believed the performance came to an end, but then the conductor directed the musicians to play even louder than before. To everyone’s delight, this awesome show was still not over.

The video of the flash mob that warmed our hearts was later shared on YouTube by Banco Sabadell and to this day, it has been seen more than 81 million times. Once you see it yourself, you’ll understand why.

People wished they were there to see it in person and shared how they felt watching it.

“I would give anything to have witnessed this in person. The joy in the young and old is priceless,” one person wrote.

“I don’t care how many times I see this video, or how many times I hear this glorious music, it always brings tears of joy to my face and pure joy in my heart. Just glorious, divine, perfect music!”

Music really has the power to join people together.

You definitely don’t want to miss this. “I feel human again every time I watch this,” one woman wrote, and we share her feelings. Take a look at it in the video below.

Woman Agrees to Accept Stranger Pay for Her Groceries Only on One Condition

Whenever we feel like we’ve lost our faith in humanity, stories like this one come along our way and restore it.

It’s one thing that we should all remember and live by, that being kind to others always pays off. It makes us better humans and makes this world a better place. Take a look at this lovely story that took place at a grocery store.

I just moved to Bettendorf, IA at the first of the month and was shopping in Hy-Vee. I take the public bus there. I get to the checkout and the cashier starts scanning my groceries when I realize I had left my EBT card at home. I tell her to void the whole thing and I’d have to come back at a later time. She calls up the manager and he asks if I could come back later today, they could save my cart until then.

I told them, with the bus system as my only transportation and that it takes a lot out of me just to make the round trip, I probably wouldn’t return today. A lady behind me in line asked the cashier what was wrong. The cashier told her and she asked me, ‘Can I pay for your groceries? I’d really like to!’ At first I thought it was a joke and hesitated but, I could see the compassion in her eyes and I really did need the food. I asked her several times, ‘Are you sure? It’s a lot of money.’ She insisted and I said I’d do it on one condition… she let me give her a hug. She gave me a warm hug and I thanked her very much over and over again, tears welling in my eyes.

I quickly took a picture of her for two reasons, one to remind me of her generosity and two to share it with anyone, hoping one day it gets back to her that her gift was a true blessing I’m forever grateful for. Blessed be to this woman, an angel sent when I really needed it! I didn’t get her name but, she sure touched my heart and made my faith in humanity a whole lot better! Thank you…Whoever she is, Thank You!
