Firefighters lend a helping hand when noticing mom filling her kids’ pool with a pot

When we stumble upon stories about kindness and compassion, we feel like there is still a chance for this world to become a better place. Stepping in for one another is what humanity is all about and as soon as we become aware of that, life would become much easier for many of us.

One Charlotte, North Carolina mom was organizing a birthday party for her son. The weather was absolutely wonderful that day so she decided to surprise the kids by placing a kiddie pool in the yard. Everyone got excited and couldn’t wait to get inside the pool. The only problem was that the mom didn’t have a hose and filling the pool with water would take much more time than she anticipated.

The mom was using pots in order to carry the water from her kitchen to the pool while the children who were gathered around were getting impatient more and more.

Luckily, a group of firefighters were driving by the mom’s home at the time and noticed she was struggling, so without having a second thought, they decided to help her.

They grabbed the hose and filled the kiddie pool with water in no time. Needless to say, the kids were overly excited because that meant their pool party could finally start.

The mom was watching in disbelief. She was very thankful to the firefighters who made sure her son had the best party ever.

Charlotte Fire Station 18 took to Facebook to share the beautiful story.

“Firehouse 18 is a neighborhood firehouse full of men and woman who truly care about the families they swore to protect. Today, after leaving a medical call, Engine 18 stumbled across a family desperately trying to fill up a kiddy pool by filling pots from the sink for a little boys birthday on this sweltering day.

“What was just a simple task for us turned into laughter, smiles, and a lifelong memory for the neighborhood kids as well as the men on Engine 18? Proud to serve the WESTSIDE!”

They could simply pass by and continue doing what they were doing, but instead, they decided to make this family’s day one to remember.

Needless to say, people who saw the post couldn’t help but share their thoughts, with one person writing, “This is awesome, brought tears to my eyes. Those kids will remember what you did. Thank you from PA. Stay safe.”

What a beautiful story of kindness and humanity at its best.

Bus driver fired after his Facebook post about hungry child who’s denied school lunch goes viral

The story of Johnny Cook from Georgia will make you think what you are willing to risk for the sake of preserving your integrity. This man lost his job only because he stayed true to his moral values and principles. He now works as a horse trainer, but he recalls the time when he was driving the school bus for Haralson County Middle School making sure all his passengers get safely to and from school.

One day, back in 2013, a student boarded the bus complaining how he was starving. When Johnny asked him why he didn’t eat anything he told him how the school refused to serve him lunch because he lacked 40 cents. The bus driver couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Leaving a boy that young hungry all day was something he couldn’t get over so he took to social media to share his frustration.

He posted the story and shared it with his family and friends. He also issued a plea to those in charge of the school to change the lunch plan.

“Huh! What! This child is already on reduced lunch and we can’t let him eat. Are you kidding me? I’m certain there was leftover food thrown away today. But kids were turned away because they didn’t have .40 on there account .” the post reads.

Many people who agreed with Johnny shared his post because they wanted the message to be spread.

But, it turned out that the school superintendent wasn’t happy with what Johnny did and offered him an ultimatum. He had to either apologize for the story and say it was all a lie or get fired from the job.

This bus driver chose the latter and never considered saying sorry for telling the truth and stepping in for a child that wasn’t treated the way he should have.

“I felt like, in my heart of hearts, the kid was telling me the truth. Whether he was, whether he wasn’t, I believed him, so I wasn’t going to recant the story.”

Counter claim

The school and the superintendent argue that the incident never took place. They claim how the security cameras prove the boy wasn’t even in the lunch line that day. They also state that even if he didn’t have money, the school would have offered him a bagged lunch.

Take a look at the video below to hear both sides of the argument.

Susan Boyle says doctors warned her over Type 2 diabetes health risks in the time of the pandemic

The pandemic, which is sadly still ongoing and affecting millions in one way or another, has changed the way we live and communicate with our family and friends. Being forced to avoid contact and being prevented to hug and kiss those people we spent our days with just around two years ago feels devastating to many.

We have been left “trapped” inside our homes as a “new normal” has been imposed.

Shutterstock

Now if you think that those who are rich and famous have it easier than the rest of us, you might be wrong. Take Susan Boyle for example. Just recently, this incredible singer turned 60 years old, but she couldn’t spend her birthday the way she wanted.

Boyle was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes some years ago and that forced her to change her life style. The Britain’s Got Talent star started eating healthier and manged to lose weight, thus change her looks completely.

With the pandemic, Boyle, as most of us, is concerned for her safety and health, especially because of her diabetes condition. It has been reported by many scientists and researchers, as well as by the American Diabetes Association, that people diagnosed with diabetes are likely to experience worse complications if they get the virus.

The singer said how she was advised by her doctors to only get out in order to catch some fresh air and avoid contacts with other people as much as possible.

“I have diabetes so I have tried to stay indoors as much as possible. Catching Covid would not have been a good outcome,” she said. “I was warned, so I’ve not taken any chances.”

Speaking to The Scottish Sun, Boyle said that the pandemic has affected her mental state, which I believe is true for each and every one of us, but added that she understands that it is all for the greater good of the country and the people.

“We’ve not been asked to battle on the frontlines of a war like our parents or grandparents — we’ve been asked to stay at home for the safety of ourselves and everyone else,” she explained.

“That’s the wee pep talk I give myself if I’m feeling a little low.

“It’s an abnormal situation for everyone. I’ve done my best to stay in but I do go for walks for exercise with my mask on,” the singer added.

We can only hope and pray for this pandemic to be over as soon as possible, and of course, do our share by respecting the rules and the measures which help fight the virus.

Contractors figure out woman’s 10-year-long mysterious illness when every doctor fails

It’s not unusual for doctors to fail to diagnose certain illnesses. However, after plenty of check ups and tests, they manage to detect what is wrong with their patients. Sadly, one mother from Indiana named Kathi Wilson spent 10 long years going from one doctor to another, but no one could tell her what was wrong as her health was getting worse and worse with each passing day.

X-rays, all sorts of screenings, MRIs, you name it, Kathi went through all of that. Her doctor, Mary Beth Hensley, simply couldn’t pinpoint what made Kathi sick. She was experiencing fatigues, muscle aches, and much more. During the last few years, she had troubles walking and was forced to use a cane.

The mysterious illness Kathi was suffering from was finally detected by a group of construction workers. They didn’t need any stethoscopes or any medical equipment to solve this poor woman’s problem. What they used instead were their wrenches.

Namely, these contractors were hired to remodel Kathi’s bathroom. As they started working, they noticed that the furnace and the water heater were improperly hooked up which led to small amounts of carbon monoxide to leak. This colorless and odorless gas known as the “silent killer” was poisoning Kathi.

Source: YouTube/ Inside Edition

She was lucky she hired these workers whom she now considers her heroes.

After they did their job, Kathi started feeling better right away. She regained her energy and strength and is no longer using her cane.

Speaking to Inside Edition, she said, “I felt great. Mentally, I haven’t been this happy in I couldn’t tell you how long.”

The video of Kathi’s story has been seen by thousands of people. One viewer wrote, “That is terrible when no one knows what’s wrong with you. Going to doctor after doctor with no relief. I am happy she is doing much better and has her life back.”

You can take a look at the entire story below. Make sure you check your cars, furnaces, heaters, generators, and the like which produce carbon monoxide.

Kathi is happy to be alive.

Doctors amazed after mom gives birth to a 13lb baby

Chrissy and Larry Corbitt were about to become parents for the fifth time and they received the news with excitement. They were beyond happy for the new addition to the family and prepared everything for the big arrival. However, there was something they found quite strange, and that was Chrissy’s belly that seemed quite big. Actually, it was way bigger compared to her previous pregnancies.

YouTube

The couple was a bit concerned at first, assuming something might be wrong with the baby, and then though they could be expecting twins. However, after the check up at the doctor’s, none of it turned to be the reason. They were told there was only one baby and it was perfectly healthy, just a bit bigger than they expected.

But when the time for the delivery came, Chrissy gave birth via C-section, because what was supposed to be a big baby, was in fact huge. The mother recalls how her first thought after seeing the baby was that it resembled a toddler, not a newborn. She even joked, saying Inside Edition “When they held her around the curtain for me I just couldn’t believe how big she was. I felt like I was looking at a toddler, I was like oh my God, she’s gonna walk to the nursery.”

YouTube

They named the beautiful girl Carleigh and she was a miracle baby. The hospital’s staff said how they have never in their career or life seen such a huge baby. While it was still in her mother’s stomach, the doctors believed it weighted around 10 pounds, but they couldn’t be more wrong. When the nurses weighted the baby, 13 pounds five ounces popped up on the scale’s screen.

Carleigh didn’t fit the baby diapers nor all those clothes her parents bought for her. Instead, they had another shopping trip and bought clothing for a nine-month-old child.

We congratulate the Corbitt’s for their baby daughter and we are so happy she is a healthy baby with a great life ahead.

Rescuers fail to save 200 horses stranded on small land – then 7 women come up with an unexpected plan

This story is about quite an unusual rescue mission which took place back in 2006 when a herd of 200 horses got stuck on a small land covered with mud. The poor creatures found themselves in this desperate situation after a storm caused the water levels to rise. It looked like the odds of saving the horses were very low because they weren’t only trapped but also scared.

Source: YouTube/ Armelle Alfreedom

The story quickly went viral and media from all around the world covered it, with millions of people waiting in anticipation for a positive outcome. The horses spent three long days unable to free themselves. The rescue groups, among which firefighters and welfare workers, failed to save them either. As a result, 19 of them didn’t make it. And although rescuers were able to provide the creatures with food and water, they couldn’t make them move.

Every plan authorities came up with failed. But then, they thought of a brilliant idea. This was the last chance of getting the animals out of that muddy land. And thankfully, it worked just perfectly.

Source: YouTube/ Armelle Alfreedom

A group of seven female riders and their horses rode into the shallow waters, hoping for the rest of the horses to start following them. If you wonder why would they do it, it’s because it’s in horses nature to move into herds, so seeing some of them getting through the mud and water would hopefully make them do it too.

Take a look at how this awesome plan worked and how the horses made it on the other side of the water safe and sound.

This rescue doesn’t cease to amaze us even after so many years. It’s surely worth watching. Check it out below.

Woman is shamed on flight because of her weight – a fellow passenger steps in for her

Savannah Phillips is a young woman who is well aware that people can be judgmental. This time, however, she experienced that first hand. Namely, she was on the plane traveling from Oklahoma City to Chicago and happened to be sitting next to a man in his sixties who introduced himself as a comedian.

He seemed nice at first and allowed Savannah to take the seat by the window. But moments later, the “gentleman” showed his true face and made this woman cry.

Inside Edition YouTube Screenshot

He took his phone out and started texting. What he wrote crushed Savannah. She shared the story of her nightmare flight and wrote, “The flight attendant started the safety speech and he got his phone out (with huge font and the screen brightness turned all the way up). His phone was maybe 12 inches from my face and he proceeded to text someone that he was sitting next to ‘a smelly fatty.’”

She felt both hurt and ashamed and didn’t have the courage to read the whole text.

Source: Facebook/Savannah Phillips

“I don’t even know what the rest of his text said because I turned my head away as fast as I could. I was shocked and it was like confirmation of the negative things I think about myself on a daily basis. Before I knew it, I could feel hot, salty tears coming down my face. I sat and cried silently, hoping this guy didn’t try to make small talk, because I didn’t trust how I would react and I didn’t want to get kicked off the plane. I was so hurt.”

But just when she felt like her faith in humanity was lost, a fellow passenger stepped in for her and restored it.

Inside Edition YouTube Screenshot

Chase Irwin from Nashville was sitting across the aisle and happened to read the text the rude man was sending. He also noticed how sad it made Savannah. So, he took a short video of the man and posted it online writing, “This guy just text his wife that he is sitting next to a smelly fatty and is going to vomit. I watched her read his text and is now looking sad.”

However, that wasn’t all he did. Chase wouldn’t let anyone treat another person in that manner so he tapped the man sitting next to Savannah on the shoulder and said, “We are switching seats. Now.”

Inside Edition YouTube Screenshot

The man pretended he didn’t know why Chase demanded that, but then Chase let him know:“You are texting about her, and I’m not putting up with that.”

He then sat next to Savannah and offered words of comfort. Speaking of what he did for her, she said, “He encouraged me not to let that guy get to me and that everything was going to be fine. We talked about Ross and the kids, his two year old son, our jobs, amongst other things,” and added, “I told him thank you for what he did and that it meant the world to me- and that he would be my husband’s new favorite person. The flight attendant kept trying to give him free drinks and told him that he was her hero. He wasn’t her hero – he was mine.”

Inside Edition YouTube Screenshot

Once the story spread on the social media, many praised Chase for what he did. He was dubbed a hero who reminded us that we should always step in for one another.

You can take a look at the video of Savannah’s and Chase’s interviews below. This is truly inspiring!

Actress Delta Burke’s weight loss and net worth

The world of glamour many celebrities are part of takes a lot of sacrifice sometimes. Looking at the models, actors and actresses, and other TV stars and the luxury they enjoy, we assume they don’t experience any heartbreaks or a hard time, but that’s far from the reality. In fact, the pressure these people feel to look flawless at all times can be unbearable.

Delta Burke is a famous name in the film industry. This Hollywood beauty first captured the attention of many when she won several beauty pageants in Orlando, among which the title “Miss Florida.”

Her beauty, along with her desire to make a name for herself, brought Delta in the world of film. During her career, she played in over 60 TV shows and movies. One of her most memorable roles, however, is that of Susanne Sugarbaker in the series Designing Women. This role brought Delta two Emmy nominations.

During the first couple of years, the audience of the show wasn’t a large one, but then, all of a sudden, the series attracted many new viewers and was named one of the best TV shows at the time. It ran from 1986 up until 1993. Delta was part of 5 seasons, out of 7.

“Along with her talent, Delta, 34, carries into life a reputation for fiery southern passion that is as tangible as bayou moss,” People Magazine wrote of famous Delta back in 1991.

Rumors were that the actors were forced to work long hours, and Delta wasn’t afraid to speak openly about it.

”It is not a good workplace, not a good environment … It’s so strange, being part of something that’s so wonderful and so awful at the same time,” she told The Orlando Sentinel. Many believed this bravery of hers cost her the role in the famous series. Others, however, believe that the producers expected from the cast to look certain way and Delta gaining weight was something they didn’t like or approved of.

Ever since she was very young, especially when she started competing in beauty competitions, Delta was told by her surrounding to mind her weight, which led for her to be on diets a great part of her life. Gaining and losing weight, along with her genetics and the stress she experienced on the set of Designing Women, triggered type 2 Diabetes.

”I was telling myself that I was a bad person because I couldn’t lose the weight fast enough,” the actress told Eating Well. ”I decided to stop beating myself up and started to give myself credit for maintaining weight.”

After her loving grandma died, Delta realized she had to take her health more seriously and turned to diets and exercises again. ”I began a stringent eating program and tested my blood more often. That’s when I got better control of my blood glucose. I also lost 20 pounds, which helped a lot.”

Delta says that her husband of 31 years, actor Gerald McRaney, helped her stay on her path of loosing weight whenever she needed it. She and Gerald, who is a lung cancer survivor, live in L.A. and can be often seen taking long walks together. “He reminds me what I should be doing or shouldn’t be eating,” she told People. “He likes to give me my insulin shots and says it makes him feel like he’s taking care of me.”

Delta is 65 and looks stunning. She has an estimated net worth of $3.5 million, money she earned thanks to her acting career.

Obituary of 15-year-old girl goes viral after family confront bullies who drove her to die by suicide

15-year-old Sadie Riggs from Bedford, Pennsylvania committed suicide on Monday, June 19th, 2017. Throughout her life, she was surrounded by people who loved her unconditionally and who wished her only the best. Unfortunately, she was also surrounded by individuals who convinced her she was worthless.

In the obituary Sadie’s family posted on the Louis Geisel Funeral Home website, they addressed those cruel people who bullied their loving girl and made sure they know they were the ones responsible for Sadie’s death.

The obituary went viral and people whose children left this world in the same manner as a result of bullying shared their stories and expressed their condolences. They all share the same grief all because someone decided their children were of no worth.

Sadie was a member of the Solid Rock Christian Fellowship Church and loved playing softball. She loved reading and drawing too. Her family hopes their words would be heard by those who tormented their girl and pushed her into death.

“In an effort to debunk the rumors about Sadie’s death we would like to share this information,” the obituary reads. “Yes, Sadie took her own life, she hung herself. It is hard to fathom that someone so young could be so troubled.”

“Sadie was seeking help, she was in counseling and taking medication, but it was all too much for such a young soul to live with. If you take a minute and look at Sadie’s family dynamics you will see that a large percent of the people in her life were not related to her by blood but she was sent to us by God who knew this child needed a family.”

“Sadie had a tough life and until a recent incident at school, she handled everything life served her. For a young lady so excited about going to the High School things sure went terribly wrong for her.”

“For the bullies involved, please know you were effective in making her feel worthless. That is all between you and God now, but please know that it is not too late to change your ways,” Sadie’s family expressed.

“Sadie’s death has taken us to dark places, we will stick together and protect one another as we try to make sense of this tragic loss.”

“To all the bullies out there, I just want you to know that as much as we despise your actions, never, ever do we wish for you to feel the paralyzing pain that engulfs our bodies, a pain so severe that it makes the simple act of breathing difficult or the guilt that leaves us wondering what we could have done differently-or that struggle to remember the last words we spoke.”

“Our hearts are beyond broken. Sadie, it was a privilege to have you in our lives and we will always love you. May you find peace in the arms of God and may we all be kind to one another.”

Lastly, they expressed one last wish, writing, “In lieu of flowers, the family of Sadie ask that you be kind to one another.”

People from all around the world who got to read the eulogy feel sad and believe we should all raise our voice regarding bullying. It has to stop and those who do it should be punished before other young lives are lost.

Sadly, this tragic occurrence is all too frequent.

Couple adopts two sets of twins in desperate attempt to stop separation

Karen and Tobias Thompson, a couple from Cincinnati, Ohio, both 55, tied the knot in 2014. This hasn’t been a first marriage for neither of them. In fact, they have 7 adult children from their previous marriages, 28 grandchildren, and 3 great-grand children.

One would assume that life is busy under their roof, but it wasn’t like that until recently. Having in mind that all of their kids have families on their own, they all live at separate places, but they all visit frequently.

Speaking of her large family, Karen told Fox News, “There’s never been a dull moment. But my grandkids, I can send them back home.”

Back in 2015, less than a year after they tied the knot, the couple learned that Karen’s twin niece and nephew, Wilnya and William, who are now 14, had troubles in their home. In order to prevent the children to end up in foster care, they decided to welcome them in. Out of the blue, Karen and Tobias got back to being parents of young children again.

A year later, they learned that Wilnya and William’s half sisters, Sharnia and Sharleathea, now 9, were being constantly moved from one foster home to another. They asked to take them one day so that the siblings could spend some time together. However, it turned out that the younger twins loved being with their brother and sister so much that they didn’t want to return to their foster home.

“I love my Gigi so much that I’ve been wanting to live with her since we got to her house,” Sharnia told WCPO-TV.

Realizing that the set of twins should be raised together, Tobias told Karen that they should consider taking Sharnia and Sharleathea in. That sounded like a great idea. And even if that meant having their hands full, neither Karen nor Tobias could let the siblings live in separate homes. “We had an empty house, an empty nest, and then we ended up with the four,” Karen told Fox News.

Although they both have full-time jobs, these caring mom and dad always find the time for their children.

“Now that we have our own kids again and are raising them together, it’s a good thing, but it’s a challenge, too,” Karen admitted.

After years of fostering the four children, the couple finally officially adopted them on September 9, 2021.

“No sense splittin’ ’em up,” Tobias said. “Keep ’em all together. Show ’em a lot of love. That’s all they need. Love.”

“You can see the difference,” Karen added. “They have been through a lot … this is the light at the end of the tunnel. It was wonderful. It was just wonderful.”

We are so happy for the twins. Not every child gets an opportunity to be raised in a loving home.

High school football player who suffered severe head injury during a game dies

14-year-old Tyler Christman was a bright student who loved football so very much. He was a freshman at Carthage Central School in New York and was loved by many. Unfortunately, during a game against West Genesee on Saturday, Tyler suffered severe injuries on the head which led to internal bleeding and swelling of his brain. Despite all the love and prayers his family and the entire community sent, he passed away.

The death of this young man left the entire country heartbroken.

Shorty before he left this world, Tyler’s parents completed their “hero walk,” a ceremonial event designed to honor patients before an organ donation.

It was his family which shared the devastating news. “We all prayed for a miracle to happen for you to be saved. Sadly, the damage was just too much,” father Jason wrote on Facebook.

Tyler’s school and all of the students united in grief for their loving friend.

Jason Brown, Carthage Central School’s district’s athletic director, and Joe Sech, football coach, expressed their sadness and offered condolences to the family of Tyler who left way too soon. Their joint statement read: “His ability to be an outstanding teammate and his infectious personality will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Words cannot describe how heartbroken we all are for the entire Christman family.”

Tributes came pouring from a huge number of people from the community and all around the country.

Peggy Gill, the person behind the candlelight vigil at Evans Mills Raceway, said, “We felt that it was important for the community to come together, have an opportunity to grieve and to hug and to tell stories.”

The family lost a loving son, and Tyler’s school lost a bright and very talented student. Rest in peace, you will never be forgotten.

Mom gets vicious “parking violation” note after double-parking to accommodate her disabled son

One mother from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, named Tricia Proefrock, and her 13-year-old son Mason were looking forward to having some fun at Disney World near Orlando recently. This wasn’t their first time visiting the place and they knew the day would be enjoyable. Mason, who uses a wheelchair because he has Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a type of epilepsy that can affect vision, speech and mobility, loves meeting the fairy-tale characters, and Tricia is more than happy to offer her son incredible experiences they both cherish so very much.

As their visit came to an end, they left Disney World and headed to their car. There, on the windshield was a typed “Violation Ticket.” Apparently, someone who had no idea what these mother and son are going through every day decided to be sarcastic, not knowing the harm they would cause.

As it turned out, Tricia parked her car on top of the line and took up two spots in order to be able to get Mason out of the vehicle. Of course, she didn’t do this because she wanted, but because the employees told her to given the fact there were no empty lots with ramp access.

Speaking to WOFL, this mother explained, “When the side of the lot with ramp accesses are full, the only remaining spots have no ramp access. Every single time out of dozens of trips, the cast members instruct me to take two spots by parking directly on the white line. This gives me room to wheel my son out of the vehicle.”

Seeing the yellow ticket on her windshield brought tears to her eyes. This is what it said: “This is not a ticket, but if it were within my power, you would receive two.

“Because of your Bull Headed, inconsiderate, feeble attempt at parking, you have taken enough room for a 20 mule team, 2 elephants, 1 goat, and a safari of pygmies from the African interior.

“The reason for giving you this is so that in the future you may think of someone else, other than yourself. Besides I don’t like domineering, egotistical or simple-minded drivers and you probably fit into one of these categories.”

Those words were harsh. Especially because Tricia parked like that because she had no other option. “I was angry because I felt like the situation of taking two spots naturally sets us up to be judged,” she explained.

She later shared the note on Facebook simply because she wanted to raise awareness of the situation. “So, if you see a car taking two spots, maybe instead of wishing us a broken transmission,” she suggested, according to WOFL, “you can try to think about why a wheelchair-accessible van in a medical parking section might need two spots.”

Rescued bear cub tries standing on his hind legs to look bigger while meeting fawn friend

Those people who take care of rescue animals are the best. Not everyone would lend a helping hand to confused and rather scared creatures who can’t fend for themselves, but those who do make all the difference in this world.

Joel Rosenthal is the owner of the Point View Farm in West Virginia. What makes this man so special is that he always opens the doors to his home to animals in need. Besides the domestic animals he keeps, one cute bear cub and a baby deer are also residents of his property.

Source: YouTube/ Jukin Media

One would say it is quite hard to imagine two babies from such different species getting along, but on this farm, everything is possible.

Joel filmed the very first encounter between bear cub Boog and the little fawn. Needless to say, the video melted millions of hearts from all over the world, and all for the right reasons.

Source: YouTube/ Jukin Media

As Boog notices the fawn entering the place, he is scared to approach at first and hides behind the stair banister. At the same time, he simply can’t get his eyes off of the “strange creatures.” After gathering enough courage, Boog gets closer, but changes his mind instantly and hides again. The second time he gets near, he stands on his hind legs trying to look bigger. What a cutie he is.

It doesn’t take long before the two become friends. Boog even licks the tiny fawn trying to show his friendliness and happiness.

This video is a must watch. It will definitely make your day. You can see it below!

Kevin James lost over 80 lbs while training for a movie

The ability to make people laugh is one of the greatest traits a person can posses. I guess you either have it in you or not, and that is the reason why not every actor can be a comedian. Although many are perfectly able to pull off any role in pretty much any genre, comedy is a whole different universe.

One of the best comedians we know of is Kevin James. Ever since he landed the role of Doug, an average parcel delivery man with a smart-aleck personality, in the hit series The King of Queens, we all knew he was destined for great things in the film industry.

Source: YouTube

However, fame didn’t come to him on a silver plate. Before he got to do films, James worked as a stand-up comedian for around 10 years. He was doing gigs at the Long Island comedy club circuit and at the same time worked at an industrial supplier’s warehouse to make rent.

After he was offered his first solo gig at the East Side Comedy Club, his career took a turn for the better. He appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, as well as other late-night talk shows, and made great friends with the comedy icon Ray Romano. James made several appearances in the hit show Everybody Loves Raymond, and Romano knew he would make an awesome actor.

Source: Shutterstock

The King of Queens followed, and James was the lead star, although he didn’t really feel like one at the time.

I was definitely the weak link for sure as far as acting was concerned on the show,” he told Philly Voice. “Leah (Remini) and Jerry (Stiller) had done a crazy amount of things. Leah had done so much stuff. It was my first gig. I learned a lot through it.

“I remember thinking Ray (Romano) is going to suck on a sitcom. He’s not an actor. I remember as a standup he was fantastic. I love his stand-up. This guy is not an actor. He’s going to be horrible,” James added.

“I told him that I didn’t think he could do it. I didn’t think he had the ability to perform that way and I was so completely wrong. It was his unique style that was used from stand-up that made him so special in that show. I learned a lot from that, I really did. I just kind of watched his show, which came out two years before I did my show, I really went to school on that. He shocked everybody. It was clumsy in the beginning. He went his own way with it.”

For the role of Doug, James was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.

Hitch, in which he starred opposite Will Smith, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Grown Ups, Zookeeper, and Paul Blart: Mall Cop followed. Needless to say, all these roles cemented James’ place in Hollywood.

In 2001, James met model and actress Steffiana de la Cruz. The two married in 2004 and have four children together. He’s not only an awesome actor but also a loving family man.

Ever since he started acting, James has been a rather big guy. He weighted 290 pounds at his heaviest and has always been chubby. However, that changed once he landed the role of the science teacher who turned to martial arts in hopes of saving the school budget, in the film Here Comes the Boom.

The role required from James to be fit, and once he put his mind to loosing weight and getting in shape, he transformed his body entirely. For the movie, James lost 80 pounds. However, that didn’t happen overnight but required a lot of practice, including running, doing push-ups and squats and eating healthier diet.

James reached his goal with the help of MMA trainer Ryan Parsons who pushed the actor to his limits.

“That’s the key to a successful workout for anyone,” Parsons told Men’s Health. “You have to know why you’re doing what you’re doing and have a goal in mind, or it’s just too easy to quit.”

“Kevin wanted to be treated like a fighter, so that’s what we did,” he added. “These guys didn’t care he was a movie star. They went at him. He actually knocked a guy out.”

James also practiced boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, and jiu jitsu skills. Once the movie aired, people couldn’t recognize him.

Well, staying in shape is as hard as losing weight, and James knows that best. Now that he gained some more pounds, he is planning on getting back to working out agian.

“I got into such good shape for the movie, for me — losing 80 pounds — so I was able to do all of those scenes in the ring without sustaining any injuries, he told Twin Cities. “But two days ago, now that I’m out of shape again, I threw my back out getting into a car. Throw me all over the place in the Octagon and I’m fine but get me to turn my head while I’m getting in a car and I go down.”

“I want to get back in shape, bad. I felt better, my clothes fit me, my mind was clearer,” James added. “But it’s a very difficult thing to sustain. I was working out all the time when I was getting ready for the movie.”

James’ transformation is an inspiration for as all. Determination and hard work always pay off and this incredible actor is a proof of that.

Grieving parents take their own lives after their son dies of brain cancer

The moment we welcome that tiny bundle of joy in the world, our lives change completely. They become our reason to live and laugh and even the thought of ever losing them terrifies us and breaks our hearts.

Sadly, life can be cruel at times, and saying the last goodbye to their child is an unbearable pain and struggle many parents go through.

Grieving mom and dad from Romania who lost their little son to brain cancer couldn’t put up with the pain and took their own lives. Their sad story touches us to the core.

The lifeless bodies of the parents whose names were not revealed were found by a neighbor in their apartment in Constanta, Romania. After a case was opened, the prosecutor said it was a suicide.

The mom’s body was found next to her son’s, and the father’s was in the kitchen.

Before they took their own lives, the parents wrote a letter in which they described their life after their son was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. They spoke of the struggles, the stress, and the unbearable grief.

Little Cristian’s mom wrote of her son’s exhausting fight with the disease on the blog she once ran.

“I felt like I was dying myself when I heard the diagnosis. I can’t express the pain that two parents feel when finding such terrible news about their child. He was only two years old.“

Christian’s condition got worse over time.

“Our only hope that Cristian is a lucky child and the tumour will stop growing is now shattered. The thought that every moment could be fatal, it drives me crazy.“

We are so sad that the little boy lost his life. We are equally sorry for the lives of his parents who did all in their power to help their boy but failed and that brought them to their own death.

Cassidy Gifford looks as stunning as her mom Kathie Lee

When it comes to Kathie Lee Gifford and her daughter Cassidy, it’s safe to say that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Kathie is definitely one of the most gracious women there is. Despite her age, she looks stunning and her beauty takes our breath away.

From the moment she appeared on TV as a host, she gained a celebrity status.

Shutterstock

Kathie was married to the love of her life, Frank Gifford, American football player, actor, and television sports commentator, for 29 years and she fell in love with him the moment they first met. ”It was love at first sight when I saw Frank Gifford (and his buns)” she told Today.

Sadly, Frank passed away five years ago and Katie was left heartbroken. She had a hard time coping with the loss, but her children have always been by her side and helped her overcome the pain. Recently, our favorite host said she started dating again.

Shutterstock

When Kathie and Frank married, he had three children from a previous marriage but they both wanted more kids. In 1990, they welcomed son Cody in their lives. Two years later, Kathie suffered a miscarriage and it was something that touched her forever.

“Frank and I were planning our second baby to be to come … this fall … this spring … I just wanted to tell everybody myself,” Kathie shared during an episode of Live with Regis and Kathie Lee in August 1992. “Until you experience [a miscarriage] yourself, you really don’t understand the heartbreak of it.”

In 1993, Cassidy was born. She is as gorgeous as her mother and is working as a model and an actress. She’s best known for the movies God’s Not DeadTime Trap, and The Gallows.

Shutterstock

Both Kathie’s children are happily married and very close to their mother.

Cody married his high school sweetheart Erika this year and Cassidy married the love of her life Ben Wierda whom she has known since she was 11 and he was 14. Kathie is very proud of her children and announced both their engagements and weddings on her Instagram account. “So thrilled to announce that my beautiful daughter, @cassidygiff, is engaged to a wonderful man, Ben @letsgetwierda,” Kathie wrote alongside a photo of her daughter and her then-fiancé at the time. “I am beyond the moon and stars. Thank you, LORD!”

Everyone agrees that Cassidy resembles her mom a lot, and she even proved that once again with a hilarious photo of her and Kathie side by side with a black top, big sunglasses, and a big straw hat and wrote, ”Quarantine is turning me into my mother.”

We are very happy Kathie Lee Gifford is doing strong and is very happy with her life.

Doctor drops newborn preemie on the floor, casually tells mom she’ll have more

I guess most of you know the feeling of hesitation when someone offers you to hold their newborn baby. No matter how much the little souls make us happy and remind us of the innocent times of our own life, or how much we want to embrace them and hold them tight, we know they are very fragile and we somehow don’t feel comfortable carrying them in our arms.

So, we often admire the ease with which medical staff hold the newborns. However, despite their experience, they too should be extra cautious when handling little babies in order to avoid tragedies such as that of baby Ian. His mom is sharing his story with the rest of us through Love What Matters.

Kristal Amezquita couldn’t wait to meet her bundle of joy. She never assumed that the moment she was desperately waiting for would never arrive because of a doctor’s negligence, especially because her pregnancy was a healthy one up until the moment things somehow turned for the worse.

At 21 weeks, Kristal started experiencing severe pain in her stomach and visited the Emergency room where she was given some very disturbing news.

Speaking to Love What Matters, Kristal said, “He told me the membranes of the water bag were protruding and I was already leaking water (technically already in labor—the pain I was experiencing were contractions), the water Ian needed to survive was coming out. He said my cervix had opened up and the placenta had come into contact with the vaginal canal causing an infection. I was on the verge of fighting an infection and I had two options at this point.”

“One — Expedite my pregnancy or Two — Let my body take its course. WHAT. THE. HECK. I was heartbroken, my heart was aching, my world was shattered. How did I go from being so excited to turn 21 weeks and see my baby growing in my belly to knowing I would not leave the hospital with him?”

She thought it would be for the best if she let it all happen naturally without rushing things and give her son a fighting chance.

“I had the catheter put in and about less than half an hour later I was in feeling so uncomfortable, I was in pain and my heart was broken. I called for the nurse because I told her I wanted the catheter out, I could feel it, but she said I had the epidural so I shouldn’t be feeling anything. While she and the OB were checking on me, my water broke. THAT IS WHEN I COMPLETELY LOST IT. I knew this was really happening, I was really losing my baby.”

Soon enough, Kristal was told to push as her baby was getting out. And just moments later, Ian was born.

The doctor asked Kristal whether she wanted to hold him but she was still trying to deliver the placenta at the time.

What happened next left Kristal in complete shock. Her life was changed forever and she just couldn’t believe what had unfolded right in front of her eyes.

Baby Ian was dropped on the floor by the OB who delivered him, and their words were “It’s okay, you’re young, you’ll have more, YOU are okay.”

“My mom said she felt like he was going to be thrown away with all the trash – the way the OB handled Ian. Since Ian was so tiny, he kind of slid right out and they failed to catch him,” Kristal said.

No matter how tiny he was, Ian will never be forgotten.

We are sorry for the family’s loss and for what they had to go through.

Viral video shows pilot dedicating his last flight to 13 US Service Members killed in Afghanistan

The suicide bombing which took place at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, on 26 August 2021, days prior to America’s withdrawal from the country, left the entire nation mourning for the loss of the 13 soldiers who died in the attack. 160 Afghan people were killed as well.

Today, a month after the tragedy took place, American people are still grieving the heroes and each and every one of us is paying their tributes the best we can. And although no words can ever comfort the families of the fallen troopers, at least they all know that we will never forget that their loved ones died heroes who sacrificed it all for their country.

Recently, a video of a pilot dedicating what is described as his last flight to the 13 fallen soldiers emerged online. It was posted by Facebook user Ryan Fournier, the founder of Students for Trump, but it is believed that it was initially uploaded on TikTok by @roballnic1.

Some doubt the credibility of the video because there isn’t any information about the person who took it, who the pilot is or when it was taken. However, many say that the lack of details doesn’t make it fake.

At the beginning of the video, the pilot could be heard saying, “We’re heading down to Houston, it should take us two hours and 27 minutes. The weather’s good, weather’s good, the ride should be good.”

As he’s speaking, he’s holding a tablet showing photos of the soldiers who lost their lives in the Kabul bombing.

“I’ve got six more days left here at Southwest Airlines, I have to retire because I’m 65 years old,” he continues. “I’ll keep flying. And every time I fly now, I want to dedicate our flight and my trip to the 13 senseless losses of soldiers, sailors, Marines.”

“Men and women. My brother Marines, my sister Marines.

“Everybody, just remember them,” he adds. “And I don’t care who you hated or who you liked in the last election. What happened was just wrong.”

He ends his speech saying, “We’ll get going. Smiles, everybody. And … remember the 13.”

It’s not clear why the pilot announces his retirement to the passengers and later adds that he’ll continue flying.

However, no matter what happens with his career, we are thankful for the tribute he paid to our heroes.

Thousands of high school students across America unite in prayer

During these hard times for the humanity, with the ongoing pandemic which claimed many lives and left millions to struggle make ends meet as businesses close down, as well as with the most recent killings of U.S. troops in Afghanistan, it seems that we all need to get closer to God through prayer.

Thousands of students from schools nationwide and beyond gathered together before the morning classes on Wednesday to pray in unison for the annual “See You at the Pole” event which first took place 21 years ago.

This year’s theme was: Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you. – James 4:10.

Many of the students spoke of the reasons why they joined the event. Freshman Faith Eilertson from Croatan High School in North Carolina said: “There is just so much going on in our country and in our leaders. It’s so important that we pray for our country. The leaders need wisdom because they are facing so many situations.”

Another student, freshman Brody Weihrauch, spoke of the importance of the prayer. “We need to gather around and pray because this country has done so much for us. I’m praying for the students and the country. I’m praying for our military because of Afghanistan,” he said.

Other schools whose students joined the prayer are Shelby Valley High School in Pikeville, Kentucky, and Tyler Legacy High school in Tyler, Texas, among the many.

Students attending these schools, including Collier Fuller, a sophomore, told WYMT-TV: “It makes me feel like I have a connection to everybody in this room, or everybody in the circle while I’m praying.”

Freshman Lillian spoke to KLTV-TV and explained that it helps him and the rest of his classmates to put God into their hearts and the school system.

Student-athletes at Copperas Cove High School in Copperas Cove, Texas, were given a break from football practice so that they could be part of the annual event which brings everyone closer to one another.

“It makes me feel a lot closer to them, to be honest,” football player Aleczander Patterson said as reported by Killeen Daily Herald. “I know a lot of them probably have struggles in their life that probably they need to ask God for … it just means a lot to see them open up like that and show who they are.”

Another football player at the school, Caleb Newberry, added that “See You at the Pole” is an opportunity to spread God’s word and the message of Christ.

This truly is a nice way of uniting the students in their faith and spreading a message of love.

Teacher writes “absolutely pathetic” and “sad” on the math test of a 7-year-old

Teachers are not always given the amount of praise they deserve for everything they do for the children. Being one is a privilege, although not everyone who is involved in the educational processes is able to inspire little minds to achieve the best of their abilities.

Kamdyn Piland is a 7-year-old boy who was sort of shamed by his teacher for not performing well on the math test.

Namely, she has written on his paper that “he answered 13 in 3 minutes” which she found “sad” and “absolutely pathetic.” Yes, these words are exactly what she put down on Kamdyn’s paper along with a sad face.

Fox56

When his father Chris saw the test, he was outraged. He couldn’t possibly understand how those words would encourage his son to be better the next time. Reading that his work was described as pathetic only affected the boy’s self-confidence in a negative way. When Chris confronted the teacher in question, all she had to say was, “I’m sorry you feel this way.”

As neither the teacher nor the school believed injustice towards Kamdyn had been done, Chris took to Facebook to share his son’s test, writing, “My son Kamdyn’s teacher has been so rude to him and myself all year he comes home with this and I am beyond frustrated that someone would write this on a child’s work such great motivation.”

Speaking to Fox56 News, sweet Kamdyn said, “She made me really sad and upset. I was really mad. And (it was) really mean to do.”

People were shocked to see how the teacher discouraged Kamdyn so they started a petition asking for her to be fired from the job. It has been signed by over 20,000 people. Others, however, say that although they don’t approve of what she did, losing her job over the test comment was a bit much.

Since the incident took place, Chris decided to take Kamdyn out of her class and didn’t know how and if the school had done something regarding the issue.

“Maybe it’ll be taken seriously now and it’ll keep it from happening to other teachers and other students,” Chris Fox56 News.

We are convinced that with the right amount of support and encouragement by Kamdyn’s new teacher, he will thrive and will get better and better with each passing day.

Jelani Day’s body is identified weeks after the grad student went missing

The body found in the Illinois River on September 5 has been identified as Jelani Day, the 25-year-old Illinois State University graduate student who went missing on August 24.

The cause of death and the circumstances surrounding Day’s disappearance remain unclear and are regarded by the Bloomington Police as “suspicious.”

After his disappearance, Day’s car and his belongings were found in a wooded area near where the body was discovered, miles from where he was reported to be last seen. Surveillance footage showed him entering a store called Beyond/Hello in Bloomington wearing a blue Detroit Lions hat, a black t-shirt, white shorts, and black shoes. He went missing shortly after. After his family failed to get in touch with him, they filed a missing person report and were desperately asking from the police to find him.

Day’s mother, Carmen Bolden Day, called for authorities to show the same urgency and attention in locating her son as they had shown for 22-year-old Gabby Petito, the white woman who went missing and was later found dead.

“What I want them to do, is to realize that Jelani is everybody, so he could be your brother, he could be your cousin, he could be your nephew, he could be a grandson. And you want somebody to look for him or somebody to find him, and that’s all I want. I want my son,” Carmen’s plea read. “It was just proven with the Gabby Petito case. She was missing, the FBI got involved, she was found within 3-4 days. Can I have the same help is all I’m asking,” the desperate mother said, as reported by ABC 7 Chicago.

After the body was found, it took a few weeks for the coroner to confirm it was Day’s. His relatives had previously submitted DNA samples to aid the search but were praying to God it wasn’t Day. Unfortunately, their worst fears came true.

Following the tragic discovery, the family said in a statement: “Our hearts are broken. We ask that you continue to pray for our family during what will be very hard days ahead. Throughout these 30 days, our very first concern was finding Jelani, and now we need to find out #WhatHappenedToJelaniDay. At this moment there are more questions than answers surrounding Jelani’s disappearance and death, and that is where we will focus our energy. As of this moment, we do not know what happened to Jelani and we will not stop until we do.”

Rest in peace, Jelani Day.

Donald Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, could be leaving politics to focus more on her family

Ivanka Trump is probably one of the most beautiful women we know. It looks like she inherited her father’s sense for business and her mother’s beauty.

When Donald Trump and Ivana Trump divorced, Ivanka was just 10 years old. Although her parents were extremely popular, with Donald running multi-billion dollar companies and businesses and Ivana being a very well known model, Ivanka recalls she had a confusing and somewhat uneasy childhood. While her friends were having fun in New York City, she was attending a boarding school. As a result, she turned to modeling because she saw it as a way of experiencing freedom.

Today, Ivanka is a successful businesswoman. She’s married to Jared Kushner with whom she has three children.

Instagram/IvankaTrump

Ivanka has spent most of her life under the spotlight. During her father’s presidency, she worked as his advisor and was by his side every step of the way. Now that Donald is no longer a president, she can focus on her family and her business.

She graduated summa cum laude in 2004 with a degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, according to IMDb, and worked as Executive Vice President of Development & Acquisitions at the Trump Organization.

Earlier this year, Aixos reported that Ivanka was going to be an “informal adviser” for a new nonprofit group, dedicated to “perpetuating former President Trump’s populist policies.”

However, after the Trumps left Washington, Ivanka disappeared from the public eye. She hasn’t given any interviews or attended any events.

As reported by Page Six, she and Jared bought a $30 million worth piece of land from singer Julio Iglesias on the island of Indian Creek Village in Florida. Because of the number of celebrities who found their peace there after “running away” from New York, it is also known as the “Billionaire Bunker.”

“The Kushners have been looking to purchase property in Florida for quite some time, and will also maintain their home in New York,” a source told Page Six.

While waiting for their dream house to be built, Ivanka and her family spend their days in a leased luxury condo near the island, in the beach town of Surfside, Miami Beach.

According to a family friend, since moving to their Miami condo, Ivanka and Jared visit Donald at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, “less and less frequently.”

“They weren’t around for the usual spring and summer events at Mar-a-Lago,” the friend told CNN.

It looks like both she and Jared are hoping for a simpler life. The source also added that Ivanka is “having to walk a fine line between embracing her father and distancing herself from his election lies,” a friend of the family revealed.

Rumors were she was thinking of challenging senior Senator Marco Rubio for the Florida seat, but Ivanka said she wasn’t planning on doing so, calling Rubio “a good personal friend.”

“I know he will continue to drive meaningful progress on issues we both care deeply about,” she told CBS.

Ivanka’s net worth is estimated to be $300 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth.

Gold medalist Simone Biles gives testimony in Larry Nassar abuse case while fighting back her tears

Prominent Olympic gymnasts McKayla Maroney, Simone Biles, Maggie Nichols, and Aly Raisman were among the athletes who took a stand at court against the FBI agents who mishandled the case of abuse against USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar.

In 2018, 58-year-old Nassar was sentenced between 40 and 175 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to seven counts of first-degree criminal sexual misconduct with children under the age of 16.

During the time he was holding the position of a doctor for the country’s gymnastic team, he was said to have sexually assaulted hundreds of young girls.

The first person who came forward about what was going on behind closed doors within the team was retired gymnast McKayla Maroney, a seven time gold Olympic medalist. She accused the FBI agents whom she spoke to about the abuse for responding with “silence.” She also added that they “disregarded” her trauma when interviewing her over her experiences with Nassar.

“They chose to fabricate, to lie about what I said and protect a serial child molester,” she told the U.S. Senate on Tuesday, claiming the agents didn’t document her report until 17 months later.

“What is the point of reporting abuse if our own FBI agents are going to take it upon themselves to bury that report in a drawer?” she said.

Some of the gymnasts who testified said they complained about Nassar in the 90s, but nothing was done against him until 2015.

Simone Biles’ testimony was very emotional. She said she was glad that Nassar was behind bars, but added that those who protected him for so long deserve to be prosecuted as well.

“I do not want another young gymnast, Olympic athlete or any individual to experience the horror that I and hundreds of others have endured before, during and continuing to this day in the wake of the Larry Nassar abuse,” Biles said. “To be clear I blame Larry Nasser, and I also blame an entire system that enabled and perpetrated his abuse.”

With tears in her eyes, she asked those present at the hearing: “How much is a little girl worth?”

“I sit before you today to raise my voice so that no little girl must endure what I, the athletes at this table, and the countless others who needlessly suffered under Nassar’s guise of medical treatment which we continue to endure today. Nassar is where he belongs but those who enabled him need to be held accountable.”

“If you allow a predator to harm children, the consequences will be swift and severe, enough is enough” she added.

Report by the Department of Justice Inspector General published in July stated there were missteps, delays and cover-ups by FBI agents in the process of handling the allegations.

“I’m deeply and profoundly sorry to each and every one of you,” FBI Director Christopher Wray, who took the job in 2017, said in his opening statement.

“I’m sorry for what you and your families have been through. I’m sorry so many people let you down over and over again. And I’m especially sorry there were people at the FBI who had their own chance to stop this monster back in 2015 and failed, and that is inexcusable. It never should have happened, and we’re doing everything in our power to make sure it never happens again.”

Scared young women gathered the courage to speak out of the injustice and the abuse they suffered, and those who were supposed to protect them decided to “turn a blind eye.” We hope everyone who tried to cover any evidence up will get the punishment they deserve.

Boy who inherited rare skin condition from his mom lands modeling contract

Samuel Silva from Bahia, Brazil, is just seven years old and he’s already made a name for himself as one of the best child models. Ever since he was noticed by a modeling agency, he appeared on a number of prominent fashion shows throughout the world, including Toronto Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week and London Kids Fashion Week, as well as many fashion publications.

So what makes this young boy so special? Well, Samuel was born with a condition known as Piebaldism characterized by the absence of cells called melanocytes in certain areas of the skin and hair, which leads to patches of skin and hair to be lighter than normal.

Samuel isn’t the only one in the family born with the condition. His mother, grandmother, and some of his uncles and cousins also have it. It is believed that it affects one in 20,000 people.

Source: Instagram/ shamuelmodel

When his parents realized that his mother passed the condition down to Samuel, they first tried to hide it by keeping his hair extremely short. It was like that because they didn’t want people to stare, but since his mom accepted her looks, she felt that she should also give her confidence regarding dealing with it to her son.

Once Samuel’s Afro hair grew longer, they set up an Instagram account where they posted photos of him. Soon after, it gathered around 30,000 followers, as well as the attention of a modeling agency which offered him a contract back in 2019.

Ever since, he has become very famous.“Nivianei [Samuel’s mother] knew she was different and embraced it with open arms. She wore short skirts and tops whenever she wanted, and always stood her ground against anyone who dared to bully her,” Samuel’s uncle Julio Sanchez-Velo as per the Daily Mail.

“She gained everyone’s respect in the community and would then only receive stares and comments when she left her neighborhood.”

Source: Instagram/ shamuelmodel

Julio also added that the family was never properly diagnosed because doctors believed it wasn’t necessary since everyone was healthy. They simply refer to their white patches as birthmarks.

Because his family taught him to love himself, Samuel describes his markings as “beautiful stains.” He’s not only handsome, but also very confident.

Source: Instagram/ shamuelmodel

“He really loves modeling. He is very artistic and loves to walk on the runway and pose for photographs. He really thrives and you can see it in his face,” uncle Julio told Daily Mail.

“He loves being the center of attention and traveling. He comes from a poor community in Brazil where there are not many opportunities to see the world.

“He has become the face of acceptance and inclusion in the children’s fashion industry, and we hope that other kids who feel different about themselves will see how well Samuel is doing and feel good about their own differences.

“Being different is not something we should hide – we have to embrace it, just like Samuel.”

We totally agree with Julio. Differences are what make this world more beautiful.
