Would you expect, in a work day, to find to contractors video themselves as they erupt into a sing song, and if not only for that reason there are indeed many people who have such hidden talents like these two men!
So you have two amazingly skilled craftsmen, working away, but nevertheless that doesn’t also stop them from following another passion, doing what they love, and of course giving many people happy smiles too.
Josh and Aaron called the song “Singing Contractors”, two very honest and humble guys that work hard and share their talents with all.
The two men are recognised for their harmonious hymns and classics that really do lift your spirits, Joshua has his camera for an old favorite on a hot july day.
“You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban was a request from an internet fan. Without having the lyrics committed to memory, the two men perform an impromptu harmony together right in the middle of their work space!
Right in the middle of a work day, the perfect moment for the men pause to take a video, but not so many people have a true hidden talent like this, and that’s the reason that this is so unexpected!
An unfinished, unfurnished home make an awesome acoustics for singing and the two mens voices, and they really can sing for sure!
It’s not only the song they chose for this song that is so uplifting, the sheer power as they sing make you feel inspired to listen to them.
And when these two guys take on a new contract or building work, they bring their huge harmonious voices with them too!
Skillfully working with their tools as they sing they are truly doubly talented, if that isn’t an amazing way to make the work more enjoyable, then I don’t know what is!
When you hear a screaming animal it makes your heart jump and you pulse race, well this passerby heard and animal crying out! As they got closer they could hardly believe it was a cat, but they decided straight away they had to help.
The crying cat and a really poorly leg, a broken log and was very sick and diseased. Fortunately she is now recovering, but the video below is enough to bring you to tears.

Most parents believe they know their kids all too well so when they learn their little ones are not really the ‘angels’ they pretend to be while at home, that comes as a shock.
A single father of three girls got a call one day and it changed the way he saw his oldest daughter. The quiet and always well-behaving girl was the reason why another girl ended up in a hospital trying to take her own life.
Yes, his loving daughter turned out to be a bully who made her classmates’ life miserable and he just knew he had to put an end to that and take things into his own hands.
Sadly, bullying is present everywhere, especially at schools and it may have devastating long-term effects on the people who are a target of it. Unfortunately, the number of cases of kids who committed suicide because of the way others shamed them is not low.

A girl named Amanda Todd from British Columbia, Canada had taken her own life at the age of 15 because a photo of her breasts was circulating online and among the students at her school.
Another boy named Tyler Clementi, 18, jumped to his death off of the George Washington Bridge after someone had taken a photo of him being intimate with another boy.
This father, however, wouldn’t let any other kid suffer because of his daughter’s behavior. This is what he did.
“My daughter Callie is, to me, one of the sweetest people I know.
She gets good grades, has lovely friends, and still finds time to be a wonderful loving daughter. I have never had to ground her in high school, and she had never given me reason to believe she is acting out.
“I am a single dad of 3 girls. It is tough, but I thought we were doing okay. Callie is the oldest.
“I got a phone call from a crying mother today…
…telling me that my daughter was involved in harassing another girl at her school. Callie and her friends took pictures of the girl in “funny” poses, such as bending over to pick something up and her butt crack was showing. The girl is over weight and I think a lot of the pictures had to do with fat shaming…
“The mother said that her daughter tried to slit her wrists this morning and was in the hospital.
“Callie is at the beach today and should be home in a few hours.
I am so mad, I don’t know what to do. I have always taught her to be kind and respectful to others, and I feel like I don’t even know her. From what I have heard, Callie was the ring leader in all of this…
“How do I handle this, and still keep it together? What consequences should I have for her? What type of apology does she need to do? Should I take her to the hospital to see what she has done? My daughter has been fat shaming a girl at school to the point of the girl trying to commit suicide. How do I handle this as a father?

“I have gone through he computer. Sure enough, she has a folder on her desktop labeled “fatty.” And it is all pictures of this girl. I don’t have proof that she created the anonymous Facebook account, but I think it proves that it was her just by the pictures being on her computer.
“So Callie was scheduled to get home at 8 30 this evening.
I get a call at 8 15 from her. She said she was going to stay at ______s house overnight. I said “no, I need you to come home right now.” She said “I’m already here! Bye!” And hung up. I decided to go get her instead of arguing over the phone. I went to the friends house, it was empty. I started calling the the parents of er friends and finally someone’s brother picked up and said they were at the park. Sure enough, I go to the park and there are about 30 kids there around a fire pit. I see her with a solo cup standing next to a beer keg.
“So I don’t usually get angry…
..but I had had enough. I went straight up to her and told her that I was not going to make a scene, but she needed to get in the car with me. She turned into another person. “I’m almost 18! You can’t do this to me! You are embarrassing me!” I snapped. I’m not sure what I said, but it was along the lines of: “You should be embarrassed! You put a girl in the hospital because of what you and your friends have been up to and now you have lied to me and you are drinking alcohol underage. Your mother would be so ashamed of you, I don’t even know who you are anymore.”
“I caused quite a fuss, so she got in the car and she is home now.
I have taken away all electronics (laptop, cell phone, tv privileges). I told her she needed to log into the anonymous Facebook and post a message apologizing and naming herself as the person who posted the pictures. When she logged in, I immediately looked through her posts. It wasn’t just one person she had posted about. This Facebook page was dedicated to making fun of the “nerds and loners” of the school. There must have been 50 pictures.
“She posted the apology and then I made it clear that she was not to do anything for the rest of the summer.
All plans are cancelled until further notice. She can use the land line phone if she needs to, but only when I am there.
Other consequences I am enforcing:
– mandatory therapy once a week.
– community service – still researching that, and looking for advice about it.
– when the girl gets out of the hospital Callie is going to apologize to her and her family.
– I have taken the door of her room off its hinges. No privacy for a while.
– everything in the house that she has as a luxury is gone. This includes: all the expensive chemicals for skins and hair that I have bought her. I gave her simple shampoo, conditioner, body – wash and lotion. Otherwise it is all in the garage. She also lost her makeup (don’t know if I will keep this enforced).
– I took everything out of her bedroom that she uses, and she basically only has books and her keyboard piano. I have told her to catch up on reading and to try practicing the piano that she begged for and then never used.
“I told her to take the night and think things over. If she wants to fight me on everything tomorrow morning, then I will add more restrictions. If she takes her punishment and agrees to these terms, then I will consider how long the duration should be.”

We hope this girl learned her lesson. As for her father, he’s doing the best he can and tries really hard to make his daughter a responsible adult who would never ever hurt anyone in her life.
Were you fortunate enough to grow up in a home which had a yard? Well, if you were I have no doubt that you have many memories, hopefully all happy about the memories in the yard when you were younger!
There is something great and at the same time innocent about those memories of running and playing with your brothers and/or sisters, if you had any brothers and/or sisters of course.
Amazingly normal you would think until you hear about why this mother, from Manitoba was visited by Child Services, then you might well be more than a little shocked!
The mother, Jacqui has a home like this with a back yard, incidentally which is fenced and secure. She sent her three kids out to play but never imagined what would transpire that day.
Somebody complained to Child Services that the kids were playing outside without proper supervision, next ensued a full investigation into the affair.
A CFS worker was sent to review the situation, Jacqui felt confident that she had indeed given enough information to answer their enquiries. Even though the yard was safe, secure and closed off with three sides in wood and a chain closure on the other side, what she didn’t know at the time was that they had recorded and added to her permanent record.
Even the suggestion that the kids were left to play on their own and do as they pleased for hours was ridiculous and we completely feel sorry for Jacqui had to go through this. Does a child need a parent hovering them for every second in order to be safe? Is there a reason this should have been reported?
If the person who reported this was really so convinced there was such a big problem, then wouldn’t they even try to speak to her first? So, we live in a mad, crazy world, but that doesn’t then mean that kids can’t play outside without an armed guard right?
We think that this mother didn’t do anything wrong based on what we know don’t you agree? Shouldn’t people just mind their own business!
We really hope this storey is shared by everyone so that things like this don’t happen again! After all, parents really should be able to let their children have some small freedoms in their own homes right? So long as they are safe and secure within reasonable measures of course!
The Christmas tradition of filling shoeboxes with toys, knick knacks, and school supplies to donate to Operation Christmas Child is not only traditional but popular too.
Thanksgiving every year the churches and various organisations bring together volunteers to assemble the boxes and get them ready to go all round the world to children in need.
The various churches partner with Samaritan’s Purse to spread a little joy and cheer during the Christmas period. 135 million children in many countries have well received one of these wonderful boxes since the birth of the program in 1993.
Tyrel Wolfe joined in one of these projects that would impact his life forever at the tender age of seven, his family also joined with the Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child via their church, and that is where the magic all started when he filled a shoebox destined for a little girl his own age.
The little boy, Tyrel, was ecstatic to make the box, but soon after delivering it to the church forgot all about it. The box was sent to the Philippines! A decade later, or more, the now older boy got a friend request from a woman called Joana Marchan and they started messaging on facebook, Joana wanted to talk to the person that sent the box so she could thank them!
Sure enough, the woman wanting to talk to Tyrel was the same person he sent the Christmas box to all those years ago. You can see in the video how Tyrel and Joana’s relationship changes once Tyrel finds out the truth about Joana.
Tyrel is thoughtful and compassionate and their storey is one that will amaze and surprise you for sure!
Do you remember your first day of school? It can absolutely be a hard day for any yougster, for a start what do you wear? Mila had her first day of preschool, but it was more of a catastrophe!
She had to express her disappointment to mom, to one who sent her there, the second she arrived home, fortunately mom had the camera to hand for the whole event!
Twin sisters from Arizona,Mila and Emma Stauffer captured everyone’s heart from all round the world, with the help of their mom of course, not to mention the talented Katie Stauffer extraordinaire social media mogul.
These amazing little sisters have an opinion about, well, everything and they aren’t backwards about coming forwards to share it! Talking about Justin Bieber and Disneyland, each chat is more and more hilarious!
Katie, mom, had really no clue that the experience would spur such a strong response from her girls.
The moment that little Mila got back from her school, she ran to Mom then started to explain why the day was a catastrophe.
Katie had the camera recording the whole time, no one was going to miss this rant.
The teacher is shady. The kids are insane, throwing staplers, pooping everywhere… But I’m still alive. I get in my seat and the teacher is like ‘Dave, we don’t pee on our friends!
So, according to Mila’s account, Dave, her classmate, began to chase the teacher around the classroom with scissors!
Mila realized she had to do something. In an amazing moment of clarity, Mila screamed out that it was naptime, then she hoped that it would stop the chaos.
Mila’s hilarious story about her first day of school is viral and it’s easy to see why! Her cute voice, funny demeanor and awesome storytelling skill is something we all want to see!
This amazingly talented group of acapella singers, Straight No Chasers, came together during their tour in New Mexico, they make an incredibly hilarious rendition of the song “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”.
They are on stage, then the music starts, one member of the group explains that they created their own choreography especially for this performance, the audience are completely unaware that it’s going to be so amusing. A typical performance for the Straight No Chasers.
They have an official website that explains how they are different from other acapella singers, the site says that if the simple phrase “acapella group” brings to mind the picture of students in blazers and ties, singing college songs, think again!

They have been very busy reshaping the idea of acapella singers in the field of pop music, and they are certainly no strangers to performing on a large stage with huge crowds, like you see in the video below.
Their sound is awesome, but even more so is their style!
This talented group first formed while attending school at Indiana University, and the momentum hasn’t stopped there, they sing all over the country and share their great voices, and incredibly funny dance moves, with everyone and anyone they can.
Tyler Dukes has held his stepfather on a pedestal for seven long years, completely looking up to him.
Blake Wilson, his stepfather, found a son in every single way, he is an amazing father to him. His son was more than he could have ever hoped or wished for!
One, not particularly special day in the holidays, Tyler decided to ask Blake something that was deeply important to him, a question….
On father’s day too he never could have predicted what was next!
So, Tyler had bought a wicker basket for his step dad on fathers day, a wicker basket full of tissue paper?
Firstly, rummaging through the paper his step dad found a pack of pens, then looking deeper a wooden framed poem with an intriguing yellow envelope on the back.
Welling up with tears, Blake, read the poem then is asked to open the envelope, immediately after seeing what the paper was inside he breaks down into tears, covering his face with his hand.
In the special letter Tyler asks his step dad to adopt him! His mom Angela Wilson, 36, told us that since the young age of 13 Blake had been a father to him, a real father such that you wouldn’t even know it was his stepson.
Blake and Tyler exchange a hug, and of course some more tears too as they share the awesome news, which is more that enough to floor the soon to be adopted dad. Everyone full of tears and hugs what an amazing day for all the family!

Dogs are awesome, they have many talents, but among them they can sense when we are hurt or sometimes even when we are sick or have a disease, they give us unconditional love and comfort, and in fact are our best friends!
But, when we are not at home and out faithful pets stay at home they can turn to each other for cuddles and companionship.
A beautiful golden retriever called Forsberg and a stunning orange tabby named Ginger are best of friends and companions to each other.
They were ‘partners in crime’, so to speak, and had a bond so great that it was like they were born to live together, an inseparable pair!
In fact, they utterly defied the definition of the stereotypical dog and cat relationship, to the extreme.
Sadly though, one dreaded day, Ginger , having used all nine lives, died, she had cancer.
Forsberg was really very sad by his best friend dying, he was depressed and above all I think he was lonely. Everyone tried to get him out of his depression but nothing worked.
He was really missing his companion so his family decided that there was just one thing they could try to do to help him, the only solution left, to bring home a companion, a little kitten called Max.
Forsberg was so happy to have a kitten to play with, you could really see how much happier he was, the two bonded very quickly as once again he had a feline friend to snuggle with.
It’s not just Forsberg who is happy, and Max has bonded really awesomely with Forsberg too, and what a happy end to an otherwise sad situation.
Susan Larson, a writer, owns a rescue and rehabilitation centre for horses, Empowered Equines. One rescue, recently, has been more emotionally challenging than normal.
A Horse was brought out from a truck, an Amish horse, and led to the rescue and rehabilitation centre, the horse was in the worst condition, in fact the worse Susan’s friend had ever seen.
Many people have the opinion that horses overworked and abused like this would be better off dead, but Susan’s friend didn’t have such thoughts. She wanted to really make sure that the poor Amish horse was cared for and had positive experiences in his life, even if he then died soon after.
Poorly as the horse was, with sores everywhere, a hacked at tail and many other problems, not to mention bad joints and marks of abuse the Amish horse was worked to within an inch of death each day.
The animal didn’t have anything left, no emotions, no happiness, nothing, so when groomed by new carers and his wounds tended to, he didn’t even flinch.
The Horse really did seem dead inside, the fight had long gone, the horse did not show much desire to do much of anything, not even to interact with others, people or other horses.
A veterinarian tried to reverse the painful and sore wounds, all inflicted on the horse. Incredibly the horse had a genetic disease that was why he had misaligned joints and back, called degenerative suspensory ligament desmitis, similar the human Ehlers-Danlos condition.
Despite everything, the horse was still worked into the ground, whipped, and made to carry many heavy loads. Susan, whose granddaughter and daughter have Ehlers-Danlos, was especially upset.
Her granddaughter and daughter receive care and therapy, but, the horse, however, was mistreated and abused.
Windfall was to be the horse’s name, at least for now, while learning to heal and trust again, large doses of patience with a lot of hard work and sure enough, he is beginning to come out of that hard shell he developed.
Susan was really touched by the storey of this hose, now more than ever she is aware of the importance that must be placed on people supporting the animal rehabilitations centres and saving the poor mistreated animals who are so unfairly treated.
When Katie Dunkley’s instincts led her to believe there was a problem that day she became a Hero to two dogs, I guess it just goes to show that we can find heros in the most unlikely places.
She had noticed that one of the houses, not far from where she lived, had been abandoned, and even more terrible the owners had left their dogs without food or water inside the house.
Katie made a bold and brave move and broke into the house, where she found the two doggies, starving to death and very distressed. The Local RSPCA took the animals into their protective custody to look after them and closely monitor their health.
The RSPCA said:
“One dog had already been removed from the property, and another was found inside. Both are now in the RSPCA’s care and are being closely monitored”
Shannon Harris witnessed the happenings, she saw Katie going down the street with one of the dogs!
Shannon said:
“She told me that she had broken into the house to rescue him. She tried to rescue the female too but she went to bite her so only saved the male”
Shannon discovered that the police had noted that the owner of the house had moved out in March or April and returned infrequently. The poor dogs had been alone for three or four months, it’s no surprise they were so malnourished, it’s a miracle that they are still alive!
Shannon took some pictures of the poor dogs in their awful underweight condition, ribs showing painfully through, living in such incredibly poor conditions.
Shannon said:
“From the pictures I took, I believe the female dog was curled up in the corner. The police went in through the back and somehow got the female dog into the cage, broke the rest of the window and got her out through the window”
Even though the two dogs had been left in the abandoned house and neglected by their owner, they both now have the chance for a new life, all thanks to everyone’s efforts.
And the owner, well the RSPCA are investigating, let’s hope they get the justice they deserve!
It’s back to school time again, it’s come around so quickly, and on this first day of school Jena Willingham, an Alabama mom made a facebook post we can all relate to, although her three kids didn’t seem all that thrilled!
The post she shared was of her three children, 4 year Sykes, 7 year Emmy, and 11 year Wrangler, each of them wearing backpacks and unashamedly looking down into the pool at their mom, who was in her floating chair celebrating with drink in hand.
Jena posted the amusing photo to Facebook this August just a few days ago and its already been shared over 20,000 times. She has been interviewed by PEOPLE magazine, NBC news, AND The New York Times, and USA Today, and more…
This amazing and funny picture has spread like wildfire through social media everywhere, because, let’s face it, most of us in this situation can completely understand the picture!
Jena said:
“My kids have been driving me crazy with their fighting over chargers and iPads all summer”
“I kept telling them I was going to have a pool day all by myself when they went to school because it’s the first time in 11 years I won’t have a kid home. I was counting down to school, I deserve a break”
Jena really made her point with this innocent but clever picture, and many are writing comments like;
“Awesome! You deserve it!!”
AND
“You go, girl!”
There were a few though, as always, a minority, who were not as warm to it, calling her a spoiled self indulgent woman, but Jena had a reply to this:
“Meanies y’all,” she wrote. “I have a job. Live in a trailer. Borrowed a pool. But I do need to exercise.”
Jena, when asked what she would do with all her time now her kids were in fact back at school said quite frankly, she would use the time to be productive, like doing a grocery shop without the kids.
Her kids are just fine with this:
“The older one likes being famous and the other two are kind of oblivious, But when I did go pick up Sykes Monday everybody in the class started clapping.”
“You know,” Jena said, “What I have taken away from this is that you should not feel guilty about needing a break from your kids.”
Thinking for one minute about all the like and shares, it’s a real safe bet that we all agree right?
Edward and 29 years old Lindsey Schmidt, were married, they were raising their children, 6 years, 4 years and 1 years old. They lived in Beecher, Illinois and Lindsey was pregnant again.
Lindsey had signed up her sons for bible school during the holidays, it was a Monday morning, and she had put her children into their car seats of their 2014 Subaru Outback.
She drove them to their bible school that day, but also a 2002 Chevrolet pickup had missed the stop signs and smashed into the side of her vehicle, pushing the Subaru off the side of the road into a field.
The Man driving the truck was 25 years old, he sustained minor injuries but required surgery.
Sadly the 1 year old Caleb and his unborn brother or sister died instantly, however Owen 6, and Weston 4, were put on life support at Comer’s Children’s Hospital.
They both died in the hospital and their grieving father, now widower, had hanging over him the grim truth that he would have to bury his wife and all his children.
For someone to shoot through a stop sign and cause such a terrible accident is unimaginable, its difficult to imagine anything that could distract someone to do that, but some of us already perhaps have a theory!
Texting and driving are a lethal combination and immensely distracting, but it hos not been proved that this was the cause of the accident. A citation was initially issued to the driver, but then dismissed.
It doesn’t seem that anyone knows exactly what caused this awful accident, however investigations are ongoing, authorities are investigating any clues that will lead to a discovery of what did really happen that day.
Everyone wants answers, but only time will tell in this case if that ever happens. The community is very close and heartbroken over such a loss to everyone, still all the community anxiously waits for more news as to what happened.
When YOUR driving, please do be careful, it could save someone’s life!
Nikitina’s family were on vacation during this summer, but they had no clue what would transpire. They would, in fact, and in surprise, be bringing home a new family member!
While having a fun day out sailing on the black sea and taking some time to swim and venture far out into the sea, way beyond the mainland, they didn’t know they would have a surprise…
The family passed a remote island and heard a strange sound, at first they couldn’t work out the noise, but thought that a faint black animal was yelping over near a cluster or rocks not far from the island shore.
Natalia Nikitina said:
The sound gradually intensified. At first it was nearly invisible, but then I could see this black spot moving in the distance
When they started to get closer, they then began to realize that the strange black dot was, amazingly, a little kitten!
As soon as the kitten saw them it tried its hardest to get closer to them and call out for help. Somehow she had got stranded alone on the island….
She jumped over the stony bank, following our voices. She jumped from stone to stone, and crossed the snags
The family thought it was ultimately clear to them that they must rescue the kitten, but the island shores were too shallow to get even close.
The kitten took measures into her own paws and she jumped into the sea and swam to the boat, the family quickly got into the water and scooped her safely into the boat.
They dried her and looked after her and apart from being exhausted and starving, she was just fine. The family adopted her, a perfect match for each other, and named her Aurora, an amazing happy ending to an amazing storey!
How Aurora could have ended up alone on that island is a mystery, but, the family thinks she was left there by other people, luckily she was drawn to their voices.
If they hadn’t happened to be boating that day and passing the island, Aurora may never have been rescued and perished. Now she is living happily ever after!

The family is really grateful that they found Aurora. They had no idea their day out on the Black Sea would bring them such an amazing gift!!
It’s more than common to see video’s and on television when horses dive into rivers and jump over obstacles, bound over hills and race to the end of a course. But, instead of just jumping bars and trenches, this talented horse begins to dance, how amazing!
Dressage is the classic art of dancing horses, this skill known to the equine world and especially know by this horse! Dressage may seem like a new sport to some people, it’s in fact a worldwide phenomenon.

Dressage competition is a very high level, disciplined sport and its judged on the control and grace of the movements made by the seamless harmony of horse and rider working in unison together to perform carefully crafted plan of predefined movements.
It is the judge’s responsibility to give guidance to the rider to tell them if they have consolidated the horses correct training enough at the level required before advancing.

The rider in this amazing routine, Andreas Helgstrand, working with his trusty steed, Blue Hors Matine, have worked through their paces for many hours of patient training before they can enter into a competition.
They are demonstrating their grace and perfectionin the freestyle dressage at WEG2006, and have even advanced to the finals.
When the music changes so do the horse’s movements. It’s truly amazing to watch and see what can be achieved with years of training for both horse and rider!

The music is quite typical of a dressage routine, and well choreographed, but, nevertheless it is completely entertaining. In one section fans in the audience can’t believe their eyes, we can’t even dance like that!

Not only does the routine receive high marks from the judge, but the stunning horse looks amazing performing his dressage routine, and the icing on the cake, the crowd goes wild at the end.
It’s crystal clear that Andreas amazing dressage performance shows that he and his horse share a passion for music and the love of performing!

Despite the disbelievers and doubters, in July 1995 a special couple said “I do”. There were many that thought that they didn’t have a hope of a happy future together, or could even stay a married couple.
Maryanne and Tommy Pilling defied the odds and are now a wonderful example of love and how the trueness of love really does stand the test of time, defying all the people that predicted it wouldn’t last, years ago, and wouldn’t support them.
After a whopping 22 years after they were married, Tommy and Maryanne are still together and live next to Maryanne’s mom in Essex, her sister lives just a few houses down the road and the happy couple don’t even argue!
What seems like a short time ago, this amazing marriage nearly didn’t come true. Tommy 59, and Maryanne 46, have overcome many challenges in their lives, both having dealt with a share of rude, mean people.
Their stories of love began at a local training centre for people with learning difficulties. Its was so cute how sweet and adorable their relationship was. After just 18 months of dating each other, Tommy knew that Maryanne was his one and only love.
Tommy proposed with a toy ring bought from a vending machine, but only after he had first asked permission to marry her from her mom!
They received their blessing from Maryanne’s mom, but regretfully many others didn’t approve.
Linda Newman, Maryanne’s sister, had told everyone that their mom received “a lot of flak” for supporting them in their marriage. Thinking about how many marriages today end in divorce, theirs is definitely a love story that has stood the tests of time, without a doubt.
The relationship is pure because they don’t understand emotions of hate, their beautiful church ceremony, surrounded by friends and family showed them the love they received.
Tommy went to the jewelry shop with Maryanne’s mom where she helped buy a “proper ring”, said Linda. She told the New York Post that ever since she was a little girl, Maryanne dreamed of having a big white wedding. “That’s exactly what she had. It was a beautiful day.
Holding hands strolling down the street that make a great statement, but still some people stare, assuming that people with down syndrome and learning difficulties shouldn’t get married.
Also though, there are many well wishers who are inspired, especially people with down syndrome children, we hope that they can also fall in love and live happy lives too!

They love one another dearly, respect one another and are completely honest.
My wedding was the best day of my life. I was shocked when Tommy proposed, but I didn’t have to think twice about saying yes. Tommy and I never argue. I love my husband very much. He is my best friend.
To set the scene, a man walked into the Denny’s restaurant with a very odd request, he in fact said just this:
Can I have a waitress who is a single mother?
Now, this caused a few moments of confusion but to humor the man he was indeed sent a waitress called Crystal. He sat in his seat and watched the other customers for around a couple of hours, but it was what he did next that left the staff completely dumbfounded.
Today I met an angel. You came into a Denny’s I work at in Utah. You asked me, ‘Can I have a waitress who is a single mother?’
I thought it was very odd, but I sat you in Crystal’s section. You sat there for 2 hours just watching people.
7 families came in and ate while you were there and you paid every one of their bills, over $1,000 you paid for people you didn’t even know.
I asked, ‘Why did you do that?’ You simply said, ‘Family is everything, I’ve lost all mine.’
Looking into your eyes while you said that made me tear up (It’s why I walked away so quickly) as soon as I got in the back I broke down in tears because your eyes had so much pain in them.
I just wanted to let you know, the waitress Crystal that you requested was living in a shelter with her son until she was able to save up enough to get a place.
Your bill was $21.34 and you left her a $1,500 tip, because of you she gets her new place next week, because of you 7 families ate for free.
Crystal told me she prayed the night before for a miracle and God sent you.
You left before any of us could say thank you, I hope you read this because you’re truly an amazing person and you stole the hearts of every one of us here.

In the Great United States of America being a Police Officer comes with many unexpected challenges and there is a narrow rope to walk between your obligatory duties and doing what is right in some situations.
Under the constant watchful eye of the media, like being in a fishbowl, the job has become more and more difficult in recent years.
There are too many people who are ready to hurt and be violent towards police officers, who just want to do their jobs and go home, and many who want return home to their own family safely at the end of each day.
Marsha Lohens, a member of the police force, has found her true calling, being part of the police force!
The amazing feeling of capturingthe bad people of this world and helping others in need is her passion, helping those around her when things go wrong, by all accounts, she was put here on earth by a higher force!
She patrolled her jurisdiction in Charleston, South Carolina, although one of her most recent encounters was so incredibly powerful that she felt obliged to share it on Facebook.
I was debating whether or not to add this photo because I didn’t want to seem like I was looking for recognition. I don’t care for that. But I think this picture my partner took is too powerful to keep hidden.
And I care to show the good in police work.
This is Priscilla and she is a well-known member of our community. She chooses to sit in an old rotting chair under a bridge every day. Her legs are swollen three times their normal size. She’s mentally ill. She will curse you up and down if she doesn’t like you but she is the sweetest human ever if you get on her good side.
Believe me I spent many of our initial encounters asking her not to call me the ‘B’ word.
I check on her regularly because she has an infection on her foot. The flesh is rotting away, it seeps liquid, and the bugs are constantly inside of it. She refuses to go to the hospital although I have called an ambulance for her several times.
I have begged her to let me take her to the hospital but she’s so stubborn and I can’t force her.
The other day I brought her bactine spray to hopefully help heal her foot and keep the bugs away. She was almost crying because she was so scared it would sting, so I had to spray it for her. I brought her hot cheetos and beef sticks, but she proceeded to yell at me for not getting her pizza.
I absolutely adore this woman, y’all.
She’s one of the most amazing souls I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. But as I was kneeling there cleaning her foot, I couldn’t help but think of the song ‘Who Will Be Jesus To Her?’
Sometimes it feels as if the whole world is against my Blue Family. We are hated and wished to be dead. We are called racist murderers, robots and pigs. Yet, out of the public’s eye, we get on our knees in the dirt to show love by washing the feet of those others would reject.
Moments like these are the reason I am so passionate about what I do. I have never felt closer to Jesus than when I don my uniform and serve those who just need to be loved. God put me on this earth to be a police officer. And though we are despised and rejected, my heart remains at peace because I know I’m doing God’s work.
As is every man and woman I proudly serve beside. This is the side of police work you don’t see. This is our every day shift. Don’t forget that we are human, and we are called to serve as well as protect.
UPDATE: I went back and saw Priscilla again today because I was going to bring her medicine, and she had a bandage around her foot. I was informed that for the past month (unbeknownst to me) Charleston County EMS has been making daily checks on Priscilla while I have only been checking on her once or twice a week.
I didn’t know because she takes her bandage off by the time I get on shift because it ‘gets dirty.’ But they provide her with more medical care and attention than I am able to. They also feed and clothe her (today she told me ‘don’t I look sexy in my new dress?’)
I don’t know exactly who responds to her, but they are the ones who deserve the recognition. They are the real representations of Jesus and should be thanked a hundred times more than I. If anyone knows who is assigned to her, please let me know.
Officer Lohnes wasn’t obliged to pull over or help Priscilla, but she knew her work was a true calling, and God’s work!
Looking after Priscilla was a big job but thankfully there were other kind souls also looking after her too, with their efforts all put together, she will get better and better!
Without the work of our men and women in blue, the world would truly be a sadder place.
Darci Miller had unfortunately suffered traumatic and severe burns back in 2015, but stepping forward to when she met an orangutan, thankfully someone was filming for the world to see!
What is completely amazing is that when Rocky the orangutan met Darci for the first time, he knew exactly how he should react. Orangutans are incredibly intelligent and very good at reading us humans and our emotions.
After many surgeries Darci has received over the years she has had many white knuckle emotional experiences, but she has learnt that getting motivated and out of the house, especially as a burns survivor, is not just necessary, but absolutely vital for her emotional well being.
So, with this in mind she and her fiancé joined each other together at the Indiana Zoo for the day with the two great bonuses of Exotic animals and the glorious sunshine could it get any better?
As it happens Darci had no clue that she would have an experience that would completely change her life outlook forever.
The very second Darci entered the orangutans exhibit, Rocky, being so curious, came straight over, and seemed to be very interested in the bandage that covered Darci’s neck and shoulder.
Then things took a turn that really was astounding, Rocky pointed to the area, curious, like children would be curious…
Hesitating at first Darci wondered if the orangutan had some level of understanding that she had pain there, under the bandage. Rocky was insistent so Darci slowly peeled off the bandage to show Rocky under the bandage.
I think that this really does show that primates like Rocky really do understand more that with think!

The now retired “bad boy” of wrestling decided, in honour of Mother’s Day this past May, to deliver a sincere and powerful message to 6th, 7th and 8th graders in their school auditorium.
Focusing on somewhat dark and deep themes of death, regret, love and forgiveness the young growing people listening were deeply moved to tears.

By explaining the relationship between himself and his mom he tells a storey of being embarrassed by his mother’s support during his teen years and explaining how he was annoyed by her non stop checking up on him when he only wanted to drink and party.
Marc continues the stories about when he received the fateful news about his mom, he was at a wrestling tournament in Japan when he got the news of his mother’s death. He says:
I just threw the phone down. I ran out of my hotel room. I took the elevator to the lobby. When the doors opened up, I just ran out in the street … I walked down the middle of the street in Hiroshima, Japan, and I remember looking up and I remember saying, Mom, I am so sorry.
It was in this precise moment that he started to cry, the emotions of the moment grew as he then elaborates about his mother’s funeral saying:
I was so nervous to walk up to her casket, so I just stood way in the back. I kept thinking to myself, Mom, please wake up. Please, get up.
His whole life was about being a millionaire and “winning the race”, but since then he has had a bigger realization of the real value of life and family and how quickly you can lose something you didn’t realize you had until you lost it!
He left the teens with a final message:
I no longer live in time, I live in moments. And it’s not what’s in your pocket that matters, it’s what’s in your heart that truly matters. Love is just a word until somebody comes along and gives it meaning. You, you’re the meaning.
Plastic water bottles are so common nowadays and it’s incredibly important to recycle them responsibly, but who would have thought that it was so important to remove them from your vehicle, and your life may depend on it!
A man from Idaho learned his lesson when that fateful discarded plastic water bottle in his car didn’t just make the car untidy, but it can really cause serious damage. How possibly can a water bottle be so dangerous you say? After all isn’t water good for you?
That innocent water bottle acts just like a magnifying glass, it can concentrate the power of the sun into a fine beam of light that can start a fire frighteningly quick! All of a sudden you’re back seat or flooring are on fire, and when the fire starts it really is surprising how quickly it can engulf the whole car!
Idaho Power’s employee had a glimpse of this scarey experience and so the company decided to raise awareness and share the story on Facebook. Many people were not aware of this danger and the video has had 1000’s of views and 100’s of shares!
The technician, called Dioni Amuchastegu, was in his truck on a lunch break when he noticed smoke out of the corner of his eye, but he was unaware of the true gravity of the situation. As he looked carefully he saw the water bottle concentrating the sunlight to the point of burning the passenger seat.
Light was just shining through the driver’s side window and shone right through (the water bottle) and burned those two spots in the seat right there.
The two burnt and blackened holes in the technicians seat show that without a doubt this unexpected accident was the result of simply leaving a water bottle laying in the vehicle.
Many people have commented about the Facebook post and this unexpected occurrence, before this I bet none of them had even considered this could happen, a water bottle starting a fire in your vehicle, who would have thought it right?
Moving between two homes for the remainder of their young years, like things couldn’t get any worse between quarreling parents, but then they start dating! Love and marriage, go together like a horse and carriage? But, divorce rates in America over the last few decades are around a staggering 50 percent!
As emotions escalate between husband and wife it’s the children who feel the repercussions of a shattered world around them. That, and when the parents start dating as if things could really get any worse?
Well, we don’t normally hear about or even see broken families that are perfectly happy, however, in this case, there are really amazing stories from a mom, divorced, who has discovered a great way to cope with ex-husband’s new girlfriend.
The past was not how Brittney Johnson had envisaged it would be, her marriage with her hubby had come to an all but abrupt end, but gifted them a beautiful daughter Payton, some small reward for their time together maybe.
Brittney recently wrote on facebook and gave a shout out to the perfectly unlikely father in her daughter’s life, daddy’s newest girlfriend, called Kayla. So, starting with such a simple, however, profound question:
“To all of the mothers out there who throw a fit when another woman treats your child as her own …why isn’t that exactly what you want?”
Now, this is plenty, meaningful, sincere words to leave a lot of us speechless right? After all, there really is no good enough motive, besides sour grapes and vengeance, but, it doesn’t stop there.
Brittney continues to elaborate, throwing a spanner in the works, she says that all her prayers have been answered in the type of woman her ex-hubby is dating:
“I prayed one night for the type of woman my daughter’s father would be with, knowing that she would be raised in two homes.”
“Kayla has been a gift of so much more than I could have hoped for.”

Back to Kayla, who is a nursing student, and is a great example to their daughter Payton. Every single day Payton sees Kayla working tirelessly towards her goal, on top of giving love and consideration towards the family.
Brittney said:
“… I’m raising a strong girl, a smart girl, and a sweet girl. And I want nothing more than for her to be surrounded with role models who are exactly that.”
“Thank you Kayla for showing Payton how to chase her dreams, how to work hard and stay up late to study for a test.”
“Thank you for still making time to ride her bike with her and make her mac and cheese even in one of the stressful times of your life.”
Kayla had even bought a nurses uniform for little Payton so they could play nurses together, this surely is a huge sincere gesture in many ways, and also a way to make a proud mother of her little girl.
Brittney went on to say about Kayla:
“You’re a true role model and an amazing bonus mom and we are so proud of you!”

Brittney’s powerful words, as parting advice, seem to be as sincere as the question she asked at the start of her post.
So she asks all parents in a similar position:
“If you’re co-parenting, and seeing your child doing things like this doesn’t bring a smile to your face, reconsider what’s truly best for your child.”
“Payton has more people to love her this way, and what more could a mother ever want for her child?”
“Being best friends with me AND being best friends with Kayla, is exactly where P deserves to be. It takes a village, and I happen to love mine.”

A Russian Man by the name of Slava, whilst driving his car one day saw something weird on the road in front of him. It was a cold snowy day being the third day of January (2017), he was reported to say;
I thought it was an animal and it must be freezing in this weather
The frozen fur ball was in fact a kitten crying for help, but cars kept passing without paying any attention to it. Slava said;
It was very cold, so I wrapped her up in a towel and brought her back to my car. I turned up the heat to full capacity to help remove the frost on her coat
Slava then took the fur ball of a kitten home with him and dug out some warm soft blankets, a lamp, and a small radiator, the cat who he decided to call “Nika” was showing her appreciation, she could not stop pushing herself against Slava affectionately, purring contently and constantly.
He took her to the vet to get her checked out properly and unfortunately she had to have her tail amputated!
She knew that we were trying to help. She was patient, did not complain and was very sweet the whole time
Nika really is one happy content cat with an amazing home with Slava, who dotes over her, and what an amazing day they both found each other. It just goes to show that a cold winter’s day can ultimately bring joy in the most unexpected ways!

Chauncey Black, a starving 16 year old teenager, was going to do something bold, something he had never done before, but desperate times require desperate measures so he thought hard and long about a solution to his problem, he had to do something!
Chauncey scrimped his little money together to buy a bus pass to get him to the “rich” part of town, with no money to his name and empty pockets he caught the bus and made his way to the Highland Kroger.
Once inside the grocery store he approached strangers to ask one simple request, he asked to carry their shopping to the car, and in payment he just wanted a pack of donuts, this simple request turned out to change his life!
The teenager was in a position most of us couldn’t conceive having to live with. He had a home with his mother, but he didn’t have anything at all to eat, he was completely starved.
He felt his only option was to offer work in exchange for food and picking a Kroger grocery store in an affluent neighborhood seemed a logical choice, he never knew that a chance encounter would forever change his life.
Well, while inside the grocery store, one stranger he asked was Matt White, this kind stranger was moved by the bold ingenuity of this young man.
He said:
This kid looked like he had been turned down 100 times. He looked ashamed, hungry and broken. In my heart I screamed a loud “yes!”, but to him I just chuckled and said, “yeah dude, we’ll get you some donuts.
Matt discovered quickly that the teenager didn’t have a phone, just a bus pass and a hungry mother waiting for him at home, completely depending on the kindness of a stranger to help him before the bus would take him home in the hour.
Matt wasn’t prepared to just give the teen some donuts, he really needed a helping hand, so what was he going to do? Well, he loaded up the shopping cart with all sorts of goodies Chauncy could take back home to his mother.
So, needless to say, he and I went on a shopping spree. We had so much fun! We got cereal and chips and frozen veggies, pizzas, Cheetos, melons and pasta, peanut butter, milk, soap, toothbrushes, just a little bit of everything.
During the time Matt spent with the teenager he found out that Chauncy was a straight-A student and was trying to get a job to help his mom pay the rent, and besides the rough start he had been unfortunate to experience he had ambitious dreams of helping others that were also in need.
This kid was amazing. Chauncy kept calling himself poor, but he told me that one day he was gonna be wealthy and own his own businesses so that he could help other people in his neighborhood and buy them groceries like me. I was in awe.
I gave him a ride home so that he didn’t have to take the bus and when we got to his house I was truly humbled. He wasn’t kidding. He and his mom had nothing. They didn’t even have beds or furniture. They were sleeping on pads made out of sleeping bags, they had two lamps and nothing in their fridge.
Matt saw that Chauncy’s mom was very ill and fragile, she shook uncontrollably and she had great difficulty walking.
Chauncy and Matt were unpacking the groceries when Matt saw hope come back into Chauncy’s eyes!
As I was leaving I gave him a hug and told him how much God loved him and that he was going to grow up to be an incredible man. I’ll never forget that hug. It meant more to me than any possession I have.
That “goodbye” however wasn’t really the end of this amazing story. Matt setup a GoFundMe account to help raise money for all the necessities that the family desperately needed.
Chauncy was ashamed of his tattered clothes and needed pants for his mom, he also needed a $10 Ross gift card for himself, but he actually got an incredible $341K raised in response to this family’s basic needs.
Finally Chauncy could purchase the equipment he needed to start his own lawn mowing business, now he can finally get a real bed to sleep in.

Matt not only helped Chauncy and his mother, but the response from social media was incredible as well. Despite a huge amount of money was raised on his behalf, Chauncy still wanted to start his own business so that he could finally be self-sufficient and help others!
