‘The Makeover Guy’ Gives this Divorcee One of the Sexiest Transformations Ever

There comes a time in our life when we dedicate all our strength to make those around us happy and forget about ourselves. And then, something that turns our world upside-down happens and we realize we’ve been neglecting the most important person in our life – ourselves – for so long.

For a woman named Heather from Amarillo, Texas, such wake-up call was the separation from her husband of many years. This 48-old-divorcee needed a change that would remind her she’s alive and beautiful, and our favorite guy, Christopher Hopkins, was more than willing to give it to her.

The ‘Makeover Guy’ is known for the happiness he brings in people’s lives with his creativity and out-of-this-world talent.

This time, he was determined to give Heather the so much anticipated change and help her improve her self-esteem.

Speaking of the time of her divorce, Heather said, “Eventually I just kind of gave up for a while,” referring to the way she looked.

She had no idea what to expect, she only knew that she trusted Christopher so much that she decided to leave her complete appearance in his skillful hands. And she did the right thing.

When Christopher asked Heather if there was something she didn’t want to see, she answered she didn’t want to see “ugly” as if that was even possible in this guy’s salon.

He started off with Heather’s gray straggly hair. He gave her a cut and dyed it in a light auburn color. It’s truly incredible how a simple hair cut can wipe off 20 years of someone’s face.

The make-up he applied highlighted Heather’s natural beauty.

“I really wanted Christopher to do whatever he thought was best, and I think he kind of nailed it,” Heather said. “I feel sexy!”

Honestly, we can’t agree more. You look absolutely stunning!

Take a look at Heather’s transformation in the video below.

Shy boy gets standing ovations with Celine Dion hit

Talent shows never cease to amaze us because they prove us over and over again that ordinary people with special skills and talents do get the chance to shine and leave the world speechless.

The Voice Kids, the Belgian edition, brings us an incredible moment of a shy boy who took the stage and looked around in confusion. But it only took him a line of Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” for all the three judges to press their buzzers and see the boy with the voice of an angel.

13-year-old Abu stole the hearts of everyone in the room and got standing ovations.

I believe that no one really expected for such energy and emotion to come from such a young man.

We all knew this would be a night to remember for Abu and his family at the backstage who were keeping their fingers crossed when two of the judges started smiling widely.

Josje Huisman and Laura Tesoro knew they were witnessing a star being born.

Their facial expressions spoke louder than words and showed their amazement in a perfect manner.

All the tree judges were now facing Abu who smiled back at them as a thank you for turning towards him.

The family couldn’t hide their excitement when they realized the crowd and the judges loved what their little boy had to show on that stage.

People were cheering as Abu sang along. He added his own touch to the song and it sounded perfectly.

At this point, judges were clapping and singing and they all hoped this little music prodigy would pick them to be in their team.

As the performance continued, everyone was even more convinced Abu is a star in the making.

At the end of the powerful performance, judge Sean Dhondt ran onto the stage and sat cross-legged in front of the artist, showing his admiration.

The video of Abu singing on the show has been seen more than 23 million times since it was first posted in April 2017.

Well, he didn’t end up winning the competition but we are sure that if he decides to pursue a career as a singer one day, his name will quickly become famous in the industry. Because with such talent one wouldn’t expect anything less than huge popularity.

Take a look at the performance below and make sure you share it with your friends.

Modern swing dance duo shows off vintage style as they tear up the floor to “Hey Baby!”

Everybody loves dancing. No matter if you think you have two left feet, when your favorite song is on, you just dance to the rhythm. However, it takes special skills to master many styles all at once.

Modern swing dance is a combination of a number of styles and the best thing about it is that people of all shapes and sizes with the right amount of talent can master it.

Although it originates in the U.S., swing dancing stole the hearts of people from every corner of the world and gained its popularity very quickly.

And no matter how many dancers who practice this style you know of, no one really does it in a more mesmerizing manner than Bianka Locatelli and Nils Andrén. She’s a native Italian who moved to Sweden in her teens, and he’s a native Swed. Together, they comprise one of the best pairs in modern swing dancing. At the moment, Locatelli and Andrén dance on Sweden’s national team in “Boogie Woogie” and take part in numerous “Lindy Hop” competitions.

This dancing couple leaves audiences from all around the world in awe as they showcase their routines and talent during their global travels.

Their vintage flair is on point ever since they met back when they were both 16.

If you want to know how popular they really are, just take a look at the video of their performance at the Rock That Swing Festival at the Deutsches Theater in Munich, Germany, which has been seen more than 13 million times.

In the video that is beyond satisfying to watch, the former Swedish national champions show their greatness and their love for dancing in all their glory.

It looks as though they are floating on air and not touching the floor. The choice of song, Bruce Channel’s 1961 hit “Hey Baby!”, only adds to the magic of their routine.

People were so overwhelmed by what they saw that they only had words of praise:

“They have so much fun I can’t take my eyes off of them! Great!!!” one person wrote.

Moving in perfect harmony and with huge smiles on their faces throughout the whole time, these two made their routine look like a piece of cake. It’s all so smooth and fun-to-watch that we can’t help by play it over and over again.

“I love this! That guy can really dance! That guy’s dancing is pure art. He was meant to do that. He told the whole song with his dance I must have watched this 10 times already. I can’t stop watching this guy dance. His partner is perfect also. But he’s a real actor to this song,” a person gushed.

I honestly doubt that any other couple can ever achieve this level of excellence.

“They love swing dancing because it brings people together and spreads joy between them, but also because it has a technical and ‘nerdy’ side. The dance challenges them in keeping practicing, creating and expressing,” Bianca and Nils’ Facebook bio states.

This routine is definitely something you don’t want to miss. Share it with your friends to make their day.

Lil Nas X and Sam Elliott Have a Dance Off in Super Bowl Ad

The Super Bowl is here! One of the most anticipated events in the country is about to gather millions in front of their TVs on Sunday. And as most of them are there to enjoy the game and cheer for their favorite team, a great number of viewers are eager to check the commercials out.

Among the companies who were willing to pay millions for their products to be featured during the annual championship are the Doritos. And as much as their Nacho Cheese was in the spotlight for so long, they are now updating the flavor of their Cool Ranch. And the taste of it? Well, if two big names like that of 20-year-old rapper Lil Nas X and actor Sam Elliot are “fighting” for a bag of it, it has to be exquisite.

The two are dressed in their cowboy outfits, somewhere in the Wild West,  and ready to duel.

But instead of a game of quick draw, the pair gets into a dance-off battle. The song, as you are guessing already, is Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” that brought him two Grammy awards.

For Elliot, who is well known for his mustache and his roles as a cowboy, filming this commercial was a totally different experience from everything he’s done before.

“I was a little concerned about having to dance at this point in my life,” Elliott told Adweek. “I used to love to dance, I’ve always been athletic but, you know, at 75 things slow down… I wasn’t worried about opening my mouth and talking, but the dancing was a challenge.”

Elliott was first introduced to Lil Nas X’s music by his daughter and says working with the young rapper was a real pleasure. “I found him a pretty solid kid. He worked hard,” he said. “He’d never been in front of a camera on film set before, and he was up to the challenge. And he couldn’t have been nicer to be around.”

This is definitely worth checking out!

Thieves try to mug an elderly man – seconds later they get what they deserve

Getting a job and working hard to earn our living is what most of us do. So when we finally get to retire it should lead to a peaceful life free of the stress the job brings. We have enough free time to dedicate ourselves to the things we have been neglecting for so long, such as our favorite hobby, traveling the world, and embarking on new adventures.

Societies should pay retirees utmost respect because they have done their share for the country, but sadly, that’s not always the case.

I have heard many times of incidents where elderly and vulnerable people are the target of thieves and muggers and that makes me lose faith in humanity. Imagine what would a pensioner do if they are left without their only income?

A video taken from an alley in a town in Russia is a lesson why one should never mess with old people. They may not be as vital as they once were, but they are full of experience and knowledge, and some of them happen to be retired boxers, just like this elderly guy from the video below.

The muggers had no idea that they would end up knocked down on the ground when they decided to steal from this man.

They went on him with their “fierce looking” attitude hoping to scare him, but the boxer wasn’t afraid to show off his boxing skills, and boy, we are so glad he wasn’t.

We hope the muggers learned their lesson to never mess with older people and start working their as*es off for a change.

More than 440,000 people have seen the video so far and they all agree these muggers got what they deserved. One person wrote, “Fists like bullets, those where fast, accurate, full face punches!”

Check this boxer’s skills in the video below and share it with your friends.

Four preschoolers dress in suits and wow the crowd with their chair dance performance

Who doesn’t enjoy watching talent shows? I guess why most of us love these shows is because we never know what to expect. Maybe the next super star and the country’s new sweetheart is performing for the first time right before our eyes and we really don’t want to miss that moment.

In fact, people are fond of preschool talent shows for the same reason, and a group of four young boys are here to prove that to be true.

The moment the piano music was on and one of the boys walked to the stage dressed in a suit, a hat, and a chair in his arms, everyone knew it would be a performance worth seeing.

He placed the chair on the stage, sat on it, and slapped his lap in the beat. Another boy, dressed exactly the same, carrying a chair, joined the first one.

The rest of the group then walked from opposite sides of the stage and the show was on.

This cute quartet stole everyone’s heart by dancing to the rhythm and in perfect harmony. It was obvious this incredible routine was a result of many hours of practice and hard work.

But, it definitely paid off as people were stunned by the moves which involved placing legs one over another, slapping, and moving to the side and onto the center.

Next, these little gentlemen got off their chairs and walked behind them, danced around, and then danced behind the chairs again.

What followed was sitting on the chairs facing the audience with their backs and twisting around the chairs as the music started playing again.

The peak of the performance was when the boys climbed onto the chairs. No one at the audience could hide their amusement and cheering and clapping can be heard during the whole thing.

And just when we though this couldn’t get any cuter, the boys jumped off the chairs one by one, and then sit on them again and lifted their hats.

It’s truly amazing knowing this comes from such young children. Their confidence only adds to the outcome that stunned everyone who got so see them dance.

After it was uploaded on YouTube, the video of the performance has been seen more than 1.7 million times. People can’t help by comment on it:

I am sure the popularity they gained with their incredible dance moves will make them consider performing again in the future. All these four young boys are artists in the making, don’t you think so?

Make sure you check the video out, you’re going to love it!

5 children removed from family after allegedly being locked in cages on several occasions

All a child needs while growing up is to feel loved and safe knowing they have by they side someone who cares. Although most parents are overly protective of their children and would do all in their power to see them happy and thriving, there are also cases of child abuse and neglect that break our hearts into a million pieces.

Such devastating case that deeply disturbed the whole country was reported in Alabama. Allegedly, five children have been kept locked in cages on several occasions by their mother and grandparents.

Thankfully, authorities were able to step in and save the poor children from the hands of their cruel family.

ABC News reported that authorities were alerted of possible child abuse on January 13.

When they visited the home, which is situated in Smiths Station, in eastern Alabama’s Lee County, investigators were welcomed by four of the children aged 3, 4, 10, and 11. An 8-month-old baby was also living in the house.

Inside the place, there were two wooden cages with hasps and locks. The sight was devastating knowing those kids were spending time inside those cages.

“[The] investigation revealed evidence that the children had been locked in the cages on multiple occasions,” Lee County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement, released on social media.

Thankfully, authorities acted immediately and the children’s mother was arrested and charged with two counts of child abuse of a child younger than 6 years old, and two counts of reckless endangerment. The grandparents who were also involved in the abuse of the children were charged under the same counts as the mother.

We are so glad none of these five kids would ever have to be treated in such cruel manner again. We hope they will be able to overcome the stress and trauma they were forced to go through while living with people who treated them as objects.

Groomsmen line up to dance for the bride- Little brother steals the show

Weddings are those memorable days of our lives that we get to cherish forever. On this day everything has to be perfect, starting from the venue, the flowers, the delicious cake, the wedding gown, and all the other details that may seem irrelevant but add to the whole experience.

However, for this bride, not everything turned out the way she had envisioned it in her head. Luckily, it was way better. A wedding reception a bit different than anything you’ve seen so far.

The groom had a surprise for his loving wife-to-be and put a personal spin on the ceremony by treating her and the guests with a well-practiced choreography that made them shake their hips in the rhythm. So, when everyone starts waving their dinner napkins in the air, it means something good is about to go down!

As soon as the groom heard the beautiful girl standing opposite him say “I do,” he was ready to hit the dance floor. It took him a lot of sweat and practice to achieve the level of excellence he was about to show together with his best buddies who’ll never leave their best pal “embarrass” himself all alone.

The dancing mash-up starts with Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” and the groom forming a train along with his friends guiding the bride to her chair from where she could best enjoy the performance prepared especially for her.

She is all smiles and probably knows this is going to be something pretty unique once she sees the group of handsome guys line in front of her as the guests make a circle around them and cheer.

Looking forward to this once-in-a-lifetime experience, this lucky bride promptly plopped her tush down as her sweetheart and his crew started moving in perfect sync, resembling professional dancers.

They were dresses in a matching outfits, wearing suits, ties, and hats. The whole thing is even cuter because of the little boy who joins the dancers.

The best part is that this wasn’t the only song they danced to. The party cheered when they went on and made the bride laugh even more as they wiggled their fingers into the air when Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” and “put a ring on it” was on. This girl has to be really blessed to have such an amazing and devoted man by her side.

Switching to “Backstreet Boys” and ending the whole show with the famous moves of “Gangnam Style,” they gave everyone a day to remember.

The video ends with the groom and his friends having a group hug while hopping in excitement and delight. They eventually get kisses from the beautiful bride for the job well done.

Check the video below and enjoy. This is truly amazing.

11-year-old girl found safe after she was abducted while walking home from school

Just another case of child abduction that could end up fatally was resolved with a positive outcome thanks to the Massachusetts State Police and the public who got involved in tracking the kidnapper down.

The incident took place on Wednesday, when 11-year-old Charlotte Moccia got off the school bus and started walking home. She was abducted in broad daylight.

One person, Julius Kenney, who witnessed the whole thing told Boston 25 News: “I came out and I heard the kid hollering for help. By the time I got down to get the plate number, all I saw was an individual bent over, throwing her in the back, shut the door and the car took off.”

Massachusetts State Police didn’t waste any time before they issued an Amber Alert. Along with that, they shared with the public the surveillance footage showing Charlotte walking down the street and the vehicle of the suspect.

Luckily, soon after the Amber Alert was issued, motorists on the Massachusetts Turnpike who saw the vehicle of the abductor called the police and gave them information of the direction it headed.

A construction site was positioned along the highway, around 30 minutes from where Charlotte was abducted, and it helped slow the vehicles down.

Thankfully, the police was able to spot the blue Honda and rescue the terrified girl.

Right after Charlotte was in the hands of the officers, she was taken to the hospital. Luckily, she wasn’t hurt.

“She’s an amazing little girl,” State Police Lt. Bob Ackerman said. “I can’t believe how strong she was dealing with this.”

The suspect was later identified as 24-year-old Miguel Rodriguez. According to his parents, he was suffering from schizophrenia and paranoia and wasn’t taking his medications regularly despite doctors’ warnings that his condition could get worse without any.

“We feel really bad, you know, as parents. We have kids ourselves,” Henry Rodriguez, Miguel’s father, said. “We feel relieved that the girl was found safe and sound. We were relieved that nothing happened to that little girl and that she is back with her family. We are grateful she’s all right.”

We are so glad Charlotte was found just in time and is reunited with her family who was praying for her safety. We also hope Miguel will get the medical help he desperately needs so that incidents like this one could be avoided in the future.

Toddler dancing with dad to celebrate 11 months cancer-free goes viral

‘Cancer free’ are the two words some people wait for a long time to hear, and little Kristian is among the lucky ones who fought against this horrible disease and won the battle.

In fact, this adorable kiddo is cancer free for 11 months and we can all agree that’s a perfect reason for celebration. The video of Kristian and his dad Kenny “Clutch” Thomas dancing to one of Lil Mama’s songs and celebrating life is just too cute for words.

Their dance routine was posted on Instagram and people fell in love with the duo. Along with it, the proud and happy father wrote, “Father Son chemistry 11 Months Cancer Free!! If we can do it you can do it!! Live Free! Drop a <3 for Father Son Vibes!!”

However, this isn’t the first time for the whole country to share the fun with these father and son.

Clutch, who is a music producer, started filming dance videos with Kristian while he was still fighting with leukemia.

Nonetheless, seeing that it made his boy happy, the two decided to never stop dancing together, and it’s now their favorite thing to do.

While His Wife Was out of Town, Dad-of-3 Gave Their Master Bedroom a Complete Makeover

Most husbands out there are firmly convinced that their wives are ‘overly demanding’ at times and pleasing them is not really simple. Wives on the other hand believe this isn’t really true and their hubbies only make a big deal whenever they are asked to lend a helping hand around the house and the kids.

The sad reality is that women are somehow expected to be the ones completing most of the chores, such as doing the laundry, cleaning the place, and a bunch of other ‘tiny’ things that are truly time-consuming and tiring.

However, many men break the stereotypes and share the housework with their wives, and we really need more of that in our society.

Miles Boyer, for example, is the kind of husband every women would go for. When his wife Kate went out of town for a weekend, all he had to do was take care of the kids and the house until she’s back.

But Miles went an extra mile and did something truly amazing for his wife. He gave the master bedroom a complete transformation and a fresh new look. On top of that, he filmed the whole thing and now we get to enjoy watching it.

After he emptied the room completely, he got rid of the hideous, old carpet that neither he nor Kate really loved and replaced it a with wooden floor that served as a perfect temporary dance floor for the three kids.

Knowing he had to do things as quickly as he could, Miles painted the walls during the night, after the kids went to bed.

During the next day, he brought the furniture back and made a DIY headboard. The place looked super organized and spotless.

Now all he and the kids had to do was wait for Kate to come back. Needless to say, her reaction is super cute. She can’t really believe Miles did all of that by himself while taking care of the kids.

You can take a look at the transformation process and Kate’s reaction in the video below.

13-Year-Old’s Cover of Bohemian Rhapsody Earns Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer

Most people love watching talent shows because they are a perfect reminder that even ordinary people get a chance to shine and stun everyone around with their talent every once in a while.

And when a contestant wins the ultimate recognition, such as the Golden Buzzer of America’s Got Talent, we know a knew star is born. Today, we present to you the incredible 13-year-old girl who received one of these so-much-anticipated buzzers and we are convinced her name is likely to be put on the list of singers whose vocals posses the magic to impact others’ lives.

When Angelina Jordan, who won the show Norway’s Got Talent when she was only 7, started singing Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” on the stage of the American counterpart, she won the hearts of everyone who got to hear her stunning voice.

Words couldn’t really express how everyone, including the judges, felt after she let her voice loose. Not surprisingly, at the end of her performance confetti started flying around as Heidi Klum just knew this girl deserved the Golden Buzzer more than anyone else.

“I feel like I am witnessing the birth of something really special, a star,” said the newest judge, Alesha Dixon.

“I think this moment…is going to change your life and your career forever,” then said Howie Mandel.

“Seriously, this was an amazing performance,” Simon Cowell added.

Heidi was the last one “to pass her judgment.”

“Finally you guys are finished talking,” Heidi said once she had the table. “You have no idea how hard it is for me to sit here to wait for you guys to jibbity jabbity jibbity jabbity, because this was so amazing!”

Angelina couldn’t believe what Heidi did and she neither could, nor she wanted to hide her excitement. The audience went wild and were lucky their new favorite singer got herself a place in the finals.

Well, if this incredible experience didn’t melt our hearts enough, the story behind Angelina not wearing shoes during her performance made us all go ‘awww.’

“When I was around six years old, I saw this little girl around my age. I gave my shoes to her because she had scars on her feet and it was really cold,” Angelina shared with the crowd. “So, whenever I’m on the stage I always remember all the children that don’t have any parents, clothes and shoes. She’s always in my heart.”

In case you’ve missed it, you can hear Angelina’s incredible performance in the video below.

Heartbroken mom begs public for help after late son’s ashes are stolen during burglary

Nothing speaks sadness and grief louder than the loss of a child. Those parents who have ever experienced this unbearable pain only have the memories of their loved ones to remind them of the happiness and the precious moments they once shared.

One bereaved mother named Melissa Carter shared some devastating news and is pleading the public for help after her son’s ashes were stolen during a burglary.

Speaking to Today Parents, heartbroken Melissa said how the incident took place on 29 December. She explained how she came to a smashed window that night and simply knew something was wrong.

Many of her belongings were stolen, among which the heart-shaped urn of her little Jacob.

“My living room was still kind of chaotic from Christmas, but it appeared nothing had been touched,” Carter told Today.

“My computer was still here, my TV was still here, but I noticed that all the bedroom doors were open … I turned to my left and I saw that [my] son’s door is wide open, and I see his bedroom door completely smashed in. I immediately realized someone broke into my home.”

She shared a photo of what the urn looks like hoping those who took it would feel her pain and bring it back to her. It has the inscription “Jacob Carter, April 13, 2012” on it.

“I immediately noticed that someone had gone through my dresser,” Cater explained to Today.

“The urn of my son, Jacob, was in there, along with all of my jewelry, and I noticed that the lid was off. All but a couple small necklaces were gone, and so I start looking around, trying to see if maybe someone realized it was an urn and dropped it, and I couldn’t find it anywhere.”

The ashes are all she has from the baby she lost when she was just six months pregnant and they mean so much to her.

“I am so heartbroken that someone broke into my home while I was gone and took his urn. That’s all I had of my baby.”

Authorities are doing all in their power to track the burglars down, but despite a fingerprint they found in Carter’s home, they have no other leads.

Carter’s mom is optimistic that her grandson’s urn would be returned and she believes the social media would have its impact on a possible positive outcome.

“I am a realist and an optimist, but I will never give up hope that someday, Jacob’s urn will find its way back to our family,” Jeanette Guddat Haggerty said.

“We are a strong family, and there are so many wonderful people in this world that have reached out.”

Please spread this story and help one heartbroken mom get her boy’s ashes back!

Girl’s inoperable brain tumor disappears, parents claim ‘God healed Roxli’

When 11-year-old Roxli Doss from Hays County, Texas, was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a rare and inoperable tumor, her family was left heartbroken.

She experienced headaches, nausea, and double vision for some time and her parents brought her to the hospital for a check-up. But, little did they know the news would be devastating.

They were informed how Roxli’s tumor was very aggressive and difficult to treat which is why they claim God had his share in making the cancer disappear completely after she received her treatments.

Speaking of the time they learned of Roxli’s condition, her father, Scott Doss, said: “It was the worst news we could have had.”

“At Dell Children’s, Texas Children’s, at Dana-Farber, at John Hopkins, and MD Anderson, all agreed it was DIPG.”

All of the doctors who saw Roxli’s scans agreed how this tumor was very rare.

“It is a devastating disease. You have decreased ability to swallow, sometimes vision loss, decreased ability to talk, eventually difficulty with breathing,” said Dr. Virginia Harrod of Dell Children’s Hospital. “We don’t have a cure. This is considered a terminal diagnosis.”

Soon after the diagnosis, Roxli underwent 11 weeks of radiation and during the whole time, her mommy and daddy prayed to God and asked from him to save their girl.

Finally, their prayers were answered!

“The doctors guide us, but really the true guidance that we’re looking for is from God because that’s who we need our help from right now, and we’re really just praying for a miracle,” said Scott.

The latest MRI scans showed that Roxli was cancer-free. The doctors who believed the tumor could not be operated on and said Roxli’s chances of surviving were bleak were now left in complete shock.

“When I first saw Roxli’s MRI scan, it was actually unbelievable. The tumor is undetectable on the MRI scan, which is really unusual,” Dr. Harrod said.

But Roxli’s parents were not really surprised from the positive outcome because their trust in God is endless and they were convinced their faith would work its magic.

“A Miracle!! We all walked out in shock even though we had been begging, praying, asking and believing. Thank you Jesus just wasn’t enough to say,” they wrote on CaringBridge.org:

“God is using precious Roxli as a vessel for His mighty power! REVIVAL is springing up in hearts everywhere!” Gena Doss wrote on Facebook.

The dedicated medical professionals, along with Doss’ strong faith in God, made the unbelievable happen.

Although the scans show Roxli is cancer-free, she’s currently undergoing precautionary immune treatments to ensure every single cancer cell is eradicated from her brain.

Dr. Harrod said: “We are cautiously optimistic and will continue to monitor her on a regular basis along with the joy of celebrating in her recovery.”

This story is so inspiring because it gives a ray of hope to other people and children fighting cancer and reminds them to never stop believing in miracles, because if you trust with all your hearts, they do happen.

Started celebrating my birthday a little early with @parademagazine. That’s a LOT of candles!!! #parademagazine

A post shared by Betty White (@bettymwhite) on

As her fans are still speaking of her last year’s celebration that was all about poker and a huge cake with her besties, they are eagerly waiting to see if this year’s party will top that one.

But for Betty, who loves being part of the Hollywood glam and whose life right now revolves around “laughing and telling good stories,” reaching another magnificent year that she can spend around those she loves is all that matters.

What’s the secret behind a successful and long life like that of America’s sweetheart Betty? Well, asked about it back in 2018, she told Parade, “You just keep plugging away. You don’t give up.”

“Enjoy life,” she said. “Accentuate the positive, not the negative. It sounds so trite, but a lot of people will pick out something to complain about, rather than say, ‘Hey, that was great!’ It’s not hard to find great stuff if you look.”

Happy Birthday Betty and many more to come! You are a true diva and a true inspiration to all of us!

Twins find wallet with cash, take a look at disabled veteran’s ID and knock on his door

How many times has it happened to you to lose your wallet, your keys, or even important documents? I know it happens to me very often. Luckily, I always find them in some of my drawers.

But when you lose something out of your house, you only hope an honest person will stumble upon it and give it back to you before you lose hope of ever finding it again.

Honestly, not many people will ever return a wallet with cash, but luckily for one veteran, his was found by two twin sisters with a heart of gold.

14-year-old Makhia and Makyla Vincent from Detroit spotted the wallet in the snow while on their way to school.

They took it in their hands and opened it in hopes of finding out who the owner might be. Inside, there were several credit cards and hundred of dollars in cash along with an ID. The girls didn’t even think twice before they decided to return it to the person who lost it.

Speaking to WJBK, Makyla, whose granddad is also a retired military man, said: “I would hate if that was my granddad and that happened to him, so I knew we had to return it.”

The wallet belonged to a disabled veteran named Marc Walsh who served with the Marine Corps.

The twins rushed to Marc’s address because they didn’t want him to worry. When they knocked on his door, Marc wasn’t home so they held the wallet up to the security camera before they left it on the the front step.

When he got home, his roommate told Marc how his wallet was there and as he really wanted to know who the generous person who brought him his money and credit cards back was, the two checked the security system.

Looking at the footage, Marc’s heart filled with joy as he knew there are still good people out there, and his angels were teens who were obviously brought up the right way.

And just as Marc thought he can never thank the sisters in person, WJBK arranged them to meet. Mack told them how much their act meant to him as he was struggling to find a job at the time. On top of that, he got to pay them back with a generous gesture himself.

This lovely story restores our faith in humanity, especially because the good doers are just teens.

US soldier killed in Kenyan terrorist attack identified as 23-year-old Army Specialist

Serving the country abroad is never easy. Many military members stay away from their families for a very long time and only hope to see each other again before undertaking another military feat.

Devastating news came on Sunday after the Department of Defense identified Army Specialist Henry Mayfield Jr. as one of the three Americans who lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Kenya.

“This was a senseless act of violence that has changed our lives forever. Our son was a great big brother, cousin and above all he was an awesome person,” Tawanna Cottenfinner, Mayfield Jr.’s aunt said.

23-year-old Mayfielf Jr. was killed during the al-Shabab forces attack of Manda Bay Airfield, a military base where he was stationed. This brave man joined the army while he was still in college and last spoke to his mom Carmoneta via FaceTime on New Year’s Eve when he assured her everything was going to be just fine.

“He told me everything would be okay. Those were his last words to me,” she told NBC 5 Chicago.

One of the reasons why Mayfield Jr. joined the Army was because he couldn’t afford to pay for his university studies. He enrolled Northern Illinois University, but left it only a year later.

“He couldn’t really afford college, so he figured that the Army would help him through that,” his father, Henry Mayfield Sr. told the Chicago Tribune.

“He was looking for better opportunities, but also he enjoyed serving,” Mayfield Sr. said. “He was that kind of kid. He would help. It fit him. It was good for him. He enjoyed being in the Army.”

Rest in Peace brave man, you will never be forgotten as your sacrifice for your country was the ultimate.

Teen sisters killed in a car crash – one sends a heartbreaking text before she died

No parent should ever suffer the loss of their children. Sadly for the Alexander family, they lost their both daughters in a devastating car crash that took place near their home in Port Hills, New Zealand.

When Jason Alexander got the call that night, his heart tore apart. His 17-year-old daughter Tayla died right away, and 15-year-old Sunmara was critically injured and was fighting for her life.

The car was driven by a 19-year-old man and just hours before the vehicle crashed and was set on fire, Tayla sent her friend a chilling text message saying she would die that night.

“Bro, I’m gonna die tonight,” the text read, according to Stuff.co.uk.

Mournfully, Sunmara had severe burns and succumbed to the injuries on December 31, the day of her birthday.

Stuff.co.uk wrote how Tayla sent a follow up text message to the same friend writing, “I’ve never been driven around the Port Hills so fast before.”

The family couldn’t believe what had happened. Two lives were lost, and Jason was both heartbroken and angry.

“I can imagine obviously that my girls were scared, but anger’s not going to solve anything and [the driver] still a kid himself. He had two beautiful girls in the car and he was just showing off.

‘Everything just got taken away from me’

“I forgive him, he’s just young himself. Being angry or bringing hate into it isn’t going to change anything, it isn’t going to bring Tayla and Sunmara back.”

“My whole life just got ripped out from under me, everything just got taken away from me in one night,” this father added.

“I had to watch my other daughter die in front of my eyes … I’m gutted.”

He now hopes the road where his girls died would be made safer so that it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

“Sunmara suffered so much, but hopefully not in vain. I would love to see that road sorted and more barriers up.”

This is such a tragic incident. We are deeply saddened by the loss of the Alexander family.

Three-year-old gives her view on forgiveness and it’s blowing our minds

Saying ‘sorry’ and offering forgiveness is something only the bravest of us are ready to give. Many times, we tend to stay mad and feel angry because the words and the actions of others hurt us deeply. But feeling this way only makes things worse and doesn’t allow us to experience the relief of forgiving.

I once read that the reason why young children don’t tend to stay mad at one another long after they fight is because their happiness is more important to them than being right. And when you think about it, they are completely right.

A 3-year-old reminds us of this and her wise words should serve as a lesson we should all learn from.

Mary Katherine Backstrom is a mother and a blogger who shared with us a tough bedtime hour with her sweet girl Holland. Well, I guess most parents can relate to the situation when they are exhausted and their little ones just won’t go to bed.

When she finally got her daughter to settle and was hoping to go to bed herself, Mary was left in awe by her daughter’s words.

“My daughter and I just had a knock-down, drag-out bedtime hour. Finally, about ten minutes ago, I put her to bed and through clinched teeth said ‘I love you, Holland, but not another word tonight. You are going to sleep now. I’m done fussing over stuffed animals,’” Mary wrote on Facebook.

But Holland had something else on her mind and wanted her mother to know that.

“I DO have one more thing to say,” Holland said.

“Of course she did. She was standing on the bed with her hands on her hips, too. Her hair was wild and she was using her arm to wipe her tears and snot away from her face,” wrote Mary.

“Mommy…I FORGIVE YOU!!! Then she laid down and cried and honest to goodness, for a hot minute, I didn’t know what to do. The way she said ‘I forgive you’, made it sound like cuss words.”

Mary then approached to Holland’s bed and asked her whether she knew what forgiveness really meant, to what the girl replied: “It means you were wrong, and I’m tired of being mad, and now I’m going to sleep and my heart won’t have a tummy ache.”

This mother had no other option but to lay in her girl’s bed and shower her with love.

“I was reminded by my toddler to never go to bed in anger. Because when you do, your heart will have a tummy ache. And you know what? I’ve been alive for 35 years, and I’ve got to give it to her: She’s not wrong ❤️”

Many fell in love with Holland’s action and more than 230,000 people commented on Mary’s post shared on her Facebook page, MomBabble.

Who knew such a young lady could be so smart as to teach us adults a thing or two about forgiveness and the real values in life?

Charming 4-year-old model with Down syndrome gets featured in American Girl catalog

Diversity is what makes this world a lovely place to be part of. And as it turns out, the famous doll company American Girl knows just how to highlight the beauty of being different.

Since they created their first doll back in 1986, the company has come a long way in offering little girls (and even adults) dolls that come with unique stories.

The best thing about this company is that its line of dolls portrays different girls from different cultures and religions and that adds to the belief that no matter where one lives, or their background, we all have our own beauty.

The October catalog featured lovely 4-year-old Ivy Kimble. She is wearing red dress and has her hair in ponytails while posing next to a Christmas tree with her doll in her hands. But what is special about Ivy is that she has Down Syndrome and is breaking barriers for other kids with the same condition. Beautiful and brave, what a combination.

Speaking of her daughter’s modeling, Ivy’s mom, Kristen Kimble told WLS-TV how this was a big deal for the little girl. “There’s not a lot of print or media with a lot of kids with Down syndrome.”

The spokeswoman of American Girl told People how working with Ivy was a real pleasure. “She’s adorable and great to work with, and the shots we capture with her for our holiday catalogs are beautiful.”

Someone as special as Ivy to be part of printed ads and a catalog seen by millions of people is truly an amazing experience and every mother’s dream.

Ivy being the face of American Girl isn’t just a huge achievement for her personally, but for all the other girls with Down Syndrome too. “For us, we want to keep seeing kids of all abilities out there in print.”

It was about time for the societies and the huge companies to foster inclusivity and offer those people and children with special needs same treatment and equal opportunities.

Kristen hopes other industries and corporations would follow American Girl’s example.

Ivy’s photos sparked up conversations about children with Down Syndrome and print modeling. Many people said how she is the cutest little girl out there and admired her confidence and passion for what she did.

“Every child is beautiful in their own way. It is important to recognize childhood is a beautiful thing, and every child deserves to feel like the most precious gift,” wrote Bridget Molloy in the comment section of People.

People loved the idea of a model with Down Syndrome because that’s a step forward towards complete inclusion.

Throughout the years, American Girl helped raise awareness regarding certain conditions by offering dolls with diabetes care kit and wheelchairs.

Having Ivy as part of their catalog made many young children become aware of their peers who have Down Syndrome. “My kids, people are asking them about Down syndrome now. ‘Oh, Ivy has Down syndrome, and she’s in the American Girl catalog?’” Kristen said. “Yeah, everyone can be an American Girl, and that’s the great thing about it.’“

Breast Cancer Vaccine Has Eliminated Cancer In Its First Human Patient

Scientists and researchers have been trying to create a vaccine that fights against cancer for so long, and finally, some great news have been published recently as the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida announced that they have been working on a vaccine that can prevent ovarian and breast cancer from occurring. They also stated how it would help prevent this type of cancer from affecting those who already had the disease.

The vaccine was said to work by harnessing the body’s immune system to detect cancer cells and kill them.

Success has been marked with the first human patient who received the vaccine but it will take at least several years for the study to be completely finished and the medicine be available for patients other than those included in the trial.

“It is reasonable to say that we could have a vaccine within eight years that may be available to patients through their pharmacy or their doctor,” said Keith L. Knutson, Ph.D., who is part of the Mayo Clinic.

When a woman named Lee Mercker was diagnosed with stage 0 breast cancer, she was offered to take part in the clinical trial and she was more than eager to accept the opportunity. In her case, the cancer was diagnosed very early and its cells were confined to her milk ducts.

“They always took your blood, you had a physical, they’d make your shot right there on the spot for you,” Mercker said. “It was three shots, all in a row, alternating arms, four shots, two weeks apart.”

Releasing more information regarding the clinical trial, one of the doctors involved in the study, Dr. Saranya Chumsri said:

“It’s supposed to stimulate a patient’s own immune response so that the immune cells like t-cells would go in and attack the cancer.”

Patient Mercker had to undergo a mastectomy as it was part of the trial. Using her breast tissue, researchers further examined the effects of the vaccine.

“That is the only way we know that everything was removed properly,” Chumsri said.

Great news came as it was determined that the vaccine did its part of the job and triggered the immune system to fight against the affected cells. As a result, the tumor was completely eliminated.

Mercker was happy she gave this trial a chance as it helped her get rid of the awful disease.

“I feel like I walked on the moon,” she said. “I worked in an industry with tons of women and I saw all kinds of stories, and it’d just be really nice to stamp this [breast cancer] out.”

Mayo Clinic is constantly working on finding cure for cancer and they are happy this vaccine may save many lives. Compared to other vaccines, this one is very easy to administer.

“It’s supposed to be just off the shelf, kind of similar to when you get the flu shot or pneumonia shot,” Chumsri said.

Currently, they are trying the vaccine they developed on two other patients. We hope it will work for them as it did for Mercker as it will give hope to many.

“We have seen early signals that our vaccines have a very positive impact on disease. We are building on that foundation,” Knutson said.

Terminally ill boy who loved firefighters meets his NYFD heroes

When he was just one year old, a boy named Trucker Dukes was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer known as neuroblastoma.

This brave little boy fought against the horrible disease for two long years, but sadly, his fragile body gave up and he passed away.

Everyone who knew him personally or got to hear his story says how he was truly a special little boy who never lost the ability to smile and make everyone around happy even during the roughest of times.

During his short life, Trucker’s biggest wish of becoming friends with the firefighters that he admired so much came true.

The members of the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) made sweet Trucker’s days fun and memorable.

Trucker was receiving his chemo treatments in New York and that was when he fell in love with what these people did. One time, he and his mom Shauna even witnessed the firefighters responding to an incident, and Trucker got even more fascinated with them than before.

When he saw the firefighters rushing to answer the call for help, Trucker couldn’t help it but approach and say hello.

“I see this little boy excitedly walking towards me with his eyes aglow. I opened my arms and he basically climbed up and hugged me around the neck. It was as if we’ve been friends/brothers for years,” FDNY Captain Jim Grismer told the Huffington Post.

Trucker’s dad, Joshua Dukes, is a firefighter himself and he was the one who taught Trucker about the work of firefighters in the first place. He works in Maui, Hawaii, which is where the family is from.

May 31, 2016 was the most special day in the life of the Dukes’ family, because it was then that Trucker was sworn in as a FDNY Junior Firefighter, according to ABC News.

“He actually thinks he’s a firefighter in New York. We’ve had unbelievable support from firefighters all across the world, actually,” Shauna told ABC News.

The family started the social media campaign #TruckerToughChallenge where they would post of the boy’s condition, but they eventually decided to stop with the treatments and try to treat him nutritionally. They also believed it was important for them to spend all their time around Trucker and make as many memories as they could.

Trucker left this world on March 3, 2017 in his mom’s arms.

“Trucker’s passing has been the hardest experience you can imagine. Now we get to celebrate his extraordinary life,” his mother Shauna said in a statement to ABC News.

The passing of Trucker broke the hearts of his fellow firefighters and his entire family who are now doing their best to raise awareness about paediatric cancer.

“I don’t know what the future looks like for us, but I’ll never stop raising awareness. Hopefully, one day there’s something less toxic and not as harsh for someone else’s baby,” Shauna told The Maui News.

The headstone of the little fighter speaks of his love for firefighters and his courage and bravery.

“It’s so strange because I’m somehow comforted that your headstone is installed now and honors you and your legendary life, but heartbroken because no matter how many times I visit your grave I know you’re not here with us.

“I miss you so much kiddo. It feels like I have a hole ripped in my heart,” the dad’s post read.

Please share Trucker’s story so that everyone knows how sweet and brave he was.

We pray for every child out there who is fighting against cancer and we wish they all end up winners.

Man Calls The Bank After They Keep Charging His Dead Aunt

Customer service of big corporations can be hard to deal with at times. This guy’s aunt died but the bank kept billing her so he decided to take matters into his own hands. How he dealt with the bank will leave you in stitches.

My Aunt died this past January. CitiBank billed her for February and March for their monthly service charge on her credit card, and then added late fees and interest on the monthly charge… (the balance had been $0.00… now was somewhere around $60.00)

I placed the following phone call to CitiBank:

Me: “I am calling to tell you that she died in January.”

CitiBank: “The account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.”

Me: “Maybe, you should turn it over to collections…”

CitiBank: “Since it is 2 months past due, it already has been.”

Me: “So, what will they do when they find out she is dead?”

CitiBank: “Either report her account to the frauds division, or report her to the credit bureau… maybe both!”

Me: “Do you think God will be mad at her?”

CitiBank: “… excuse me …?”

Me: “Did you just get what I was telling you… the part about her being dead?”

CitiBank: “Sir, you’ll have to speak to my supervisor!”

(Supervisor gets on the phone)

Me: ”I’m calling to tell you, she died in January.”

CitiBank: “The account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.”

Me: “You mean you want to collect from her estate?”

CitiBank: “… (stammer)” … “Are you her lawyer?”

Me: “No, I’m her great nephew.” (Lawyer info given… )

CitiBank: “Could you fax us a certificate of death?”

Me: “Sure.” ( Fax number is given )

( After they get the fax. )

CitiBank: “Our system just isn’t setup for death… ”

Me: “Oh…”

CitiBank: “I don’t know what more I can do to help…”

Me: “Well… if you figure it out, great! If not, you could just keep billing her… I suppose… don’t really think she will care…”

CitiBank: “Well… the late fees and charges do still apply.”

Me: “Would you like her new billing address?”

CitiBank: “That might help.”

Me: ” (Odessa Memorial Cemetery #### Hwy 129 and plot number given.)

CitiBank: “Sir, that’s a cemetery!”

Me: “What do you do with dead people on your planet?!!”

Please share this post with your friends and family if you get laugh.

‘Parents Expert’ insists Grandparents should seek permission before hugging or kissing their grandchildren

Grandparents have been an important part of the lives of their grandchildren for as long as we remember. They teach the little ones responsibility and shower them with endless love and a bunch of gifts. They tell them stories and take care of them whenever the parents are not around.

But according to a parenting expert named Deborah Gilboa, the elderly must ask the grandchildren for consent whenever they want to hug them and kiss them.

According to her, if children get kissed or hugged without being asked if they wanted that or not, they will feel like they have no control of their bodies.

Speaking to TODAY, she says how most kids are taught not to let be touched in any way unless they are fine with that, and their grandmas and grandpas kissing them whenever they please sends confusing messages.

“It’s super confusing,” Gilboa insisted on TODAY, claiming that telling kids that their bodies are their own and then allowing older relatives to kiss them without asking permission sends “mixed messages.”

But as it turns out, Deborah isn’t the only person who believes this. Another expert, Jane Evans from Australia, shared a similar idea on This Morning. She says that if grandparents and parents don’t ask the kids for permission before they hug them or kiss them, they would assume it’s okay for other people to do it too.

Most of the people who came across the ideas of Gilboa and Evans agreed how what they say is absolute nonsense. One Twitter user said how “contact is a huge part of forming relationship” and asking for consent to hug your own child or grandchild is the stupidest idea.

Other people, however, believe that these experts’ thinking is the right one because that way children learn that their consent is important and they get to decide whether to be hugged or not.

Do you agree with Gilbert and Evan’s idea? Please share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
