Neighbors Destroy Their Vehicles Because They Refuse to Stop Running over Fence

Those people who get to live in a neighborhood of nice humans who mind their own business and never cause any troubles, such as playing loud music or ruining stuff, are truly lucky.

One woman shared a very interesting story of how her father dealt with his obnoxious neighbors and people love it.

Turning to Reddit, this woman wrote:

“We live in a small private neighbourhood, the neighbours are related to us more or less (distant relatives). Everybody here is a complete nutjob. They were constantly arguing over decades before me or my brother were even born. Our property line is kinda like a square and it is surrounded by road from two sides. Keep in mind that on one part of the road we let our neighbours use 1 square meter of the land so they could use the road safer and not damage our property.”

As this constant fight went on and on throughout the years and the neighbors couldn’t come to terms about the problem and find a solution that would suit everyone best, they simply decided to run over this man’s fence and destroy it.

“One day my neighbors order a massive truck filled with tons of wood. The truck driver runs over our fence. Nobody wanted to pay for the damage. Our fence is made out of multiple bushes, trees and a little bit of metal fence too. These plants were now completely destroyed and a part of metal fence completely bent. We had to replant these plants and place a new metal fence. My father told me this was not the first time this happened but actually third. I couldn’t believe it when I heard this. So this is where the revenge begins.”

Not having the strength to put up with the careless behavior of those people living around him, the woman’s father, who is a police officer, decided to dig up the property line marker and fill the area with rock-filled barrels. Shortly after, three of the neighbors damaged their vehicles after running onto the barrels.

“Over the period of 1 year these neighbors hit the barrels so much with their cars that the barrels are now worthless.”

Dad, however, wasn’t about to quit on that small piece of land that belonged to him.

“He bought cement, sand and metal poles. One peaceful afternoon my father and I cemented that whole part of the land and placed some lovely flowers on top. So when they hit the concrete they can smell our flowers of victory/defeat.”

Needless to say, they cars were damaged further, and the fence stayed untouched.

“As we expected. 5 neighbors in total wrecked their cars on the new fence and nobody came knocking on the door.”

Later, the woman who shared the story added an update saying:

“Some of them are really bad drivers. But they got used to it after a while. There is one neighbor that was drunk most of the time. I wouldn’t say they were drunk driving but merely just turned too soon.”

Have you ever had to deal with tough neighbors yourself? If yes, tell us your story in the comments section below.

Girl, 5, Doesn’t Hesitate a Second When Mom Has Seizure in Pool, Jumps In and Saves Her Life

This is the incredible story of a five-year-old girl named Allison who stepped in for her mother when she needed it the most and saved her life. Not every child that young knows how to react in a stressful situation and offer help, but sweet Allison knew exactly what she was doing.

Tracy Anderwald, Allison’s mom, shares the story of her brave girl’s act and is forever thankful for what she did for her.

One day, Tracy decided to relax in the pool together with her daughter. But soon, Allison got bored and went to play in the yard. What was supposed to be a fun day for these two, could easily turn into a tragedy. As Tracy was swimming, she experienced a seizure and her head went under the water.

As Allison was playing, she noticed how her mom stopped swimming and rushed to check if everything was fine. The girl then saw her mom’s body floating and her head in the water. Without thinking twice, Allison jumped in the pool and pulled her mom to safety using all her strength.

Sweet Allison then turned her mom over, but she was still having a seizure so Allison went inside the house and asked from the rest of the family to come.

Tracy’s husband then called 911.

Next thing Tracy remembers is the hospital bed. She wasn’t sure what happened exactly or how she ended up in the hospital. When her sister, Tedra Hunt, told her how it was Allison who saved her life, Tracy couldn’t believe her ears.

“Allison was able to do that on her own. And so it’s a miracle,” Tedra said.

When Tracy checked the security footage, she saw the whole thing. She was very grateful she raised such brave and quick-thinking child.

Tracy recalls teaching Allison how to swim when she was just two and a half years old. It seemed she was way too young for that skill at the time, but Tracy was now happy she did that.

The incredible video of the rescue was later uploaded on YouTube and has been seen more than 4.5 million times.

Allison was hailed a hero and deserves all the praise for her brave act.

Seizures, sadly, can happen at any time and any place, and can be a result of many different conditions such as strokes, head injuries, extremely low blood sugar, and more. But we should all know how to offer help in such situations.

You can take a look at the incredible rescue in the video below. Please share it with your friends.

Baby Girl Joins Mom and Dad in Prayer at the Dinner Table

They say children don’t do what they are told to, but what they see others doing. That is why we should mind the way we behave around our children. Teaching them by doing might be the most powerful method of shaping them into nice people who will be important part of the community.

That is exactly what the parents of this little girl named Eloise Incorvaia did. Even though she is way too young to understand the concept of religion and prayer, her parents want to raise her God’s way so they try to introduce religion from an early age.

Before every meal, the family says a prayer and thanks God for the food and all the other beauties life has given them.

On one occasion, while they were all sat by the table, preparing to feed their daughter in the high chair, she knew exactly what to do before she started eating. As soon as she heard the word prayer, she spread her tiny little hands towards her parents’ and closed her eyes, ready to listen to her Dad.

However, the cutest moment of all comes at the very end when daddy says “Amen” and Eloise repeats the word in a baby language. This might be the most adorable little girl out there.

Not only she is a cutie pie, but very smart as well. Her parents know that everything they teach her is not in vain because she acquires lots of the things she hears and sees.

When this heartwarming video was taken, sweet Eloise was just 20 months old. People loved it so much that Eloise was featured on Fox News, The Ellen Show, and the Today Show.

Today, the family has two more kids and cute Eloise has a sister and a little brother. We hope they will be raised the way Eloise was.

Toddler Gets Too Close to a Baby Gorilla

Although we have witnessed humans and wild animals being friends before, it still comes as a surprise when we see how people interact closely with lions, tigers, and gorillas. This is especially unusual when it comes to children getting close to these animals. Just like little Isaiah and the baby gorilla he met while at the Columbus Zoo in Congo.

Kamoli, the cute baby gorilla spotted Isaiah getting closer to the glass behind which he stood wanting to say hi and maybe play a bit.

Speaking of the lovely encounter, Isaiah’s mom, Sherry Chute told Columbia Dispatch: “He was just looking at the gorillas and we said to him ‘Isaiah what do the gorillas do?’ and he started pounding his chest.” Isaiah’s mom Sherry Chute told The Columbia Dispatch.

Kamoli and Isaiah had the time of their life running from one side of the enclosure to the other, and whenever the animal would run, Isaiah would follow. Then, Kamoli would play hide-and-seek and would get behind a tree, and Isaiah would try to find him.

Isaiah’s parents were overjoyed their little boy experienced such incredible adventure as to be friends with a unique animal. Well, how many of us get to hang out with a cute gorilla?

The fun time lasted for about five minutes, but those were the best five minutes ever for the new friends. The glass between them didn’t stop them from enjoying the game of tag.

As he was leaving the place, Isaiah said “bye gorilla!”

“It was a really fun interaction,” Chute said. “Isaiah is just like that. Anyone who knows him knows thats he’s super playful. It was so fun to see him interact with the animals and know what they were. He was just so truely blissful in that moment, it melted his mommy’s heart.”

Once the video was shared on the Internet, people fell in love with it and it soon reached more than 2.5 million views.

“That is so cute.just shows how much alike human children and baby gorillas are alike. How can people poach these amazing animals in the wild?,” one commenter said.

“Harambe reincarnated, showing everyone he just wanted to play with children,” another added.

Make sure you take a look at Isaiah and Kamoli playing in the video below.

Photo of 92-year-old Man Dyeing His Wife’s Hair Amid Social Distancing Goes Viral

The coronavirus pandemic that is still shaking the world has changed the way we have lived during these last couple of months. With the lock-downs and curfews, people are forced to stay home and spend more time with their families. And being surrounded by those we love the most is what is helping us overcome the situation easier.

For an elderly couple from Israel the isolation from the rest of the people and staying home seems to be filled with fun. As the wife couldn’t visit the hair saloon, her husband was there to help her stay as beautiful as she already is. What he did? He dyed her hair. Isn’t that the sweetest thing you’ve heard all day?

Luckily, their grandson was there to snap a photo of the two.

The cute image that has gone viral was posted on Facebook with the following caption: “These are my 92-year-old grandparents (we will be healthy). In any situation, my grandfather takes care that my grandmother will feel well-groomed. You don’t see things like this every day.”

People shared it further and commented how it showed what true love looks like, and we can’t agree more.

It also showed us that instead of complaining how we are forced to stay home and how bored we are being around our family for days, we should use that time to bond even further, just like these two lovebirds do.

One person wrote: “One of the most beautiful pictures I’ve seen in the last period. I wish for everyone such love… A generation that knows how to love and give for real. May they be blessed with health”

Another commented: “To think how much this amazing couple has passed in decades together – wars, stressed financial periods, medical problems and still stayed together – Food for thought for all of us. Health, a sea of love and longevity for this amazing couple.”

If this lovely photo made your day, don’t forget to share it with your family and friends.

People are waiting in line to leave their pets at an overcrowded shelter

When getting a pet one would assume it’s forever, but apparently not everyone thinks that way.

Sadly, many owners decide to simply ditch their cats, dogs, or other animals only because they no longer want to take care of them.

The staff at a shelter at Harris County, Texas, shared their story and we actually became aware that the number of those people abandoning their pets is in fact huge, and it’s totally heartbreaking to learn.

The staff wrote on Facebook about the current situation in and outside the shelter and shared photos of pet owners waiting in front of the place for hours just to leave their animal companions.

Yes, people are actually lining to abandon someone they are supposed to love and it’s a devastating sight to see. According to the post, the line is so long that it spreads to the parking lot of the Harris County Animal Shelter.

The worst thing of all is that those who can’t wait for that long in the sun don’t bother to look for another shelter but simply tie the animal to a nearby tree or just leave it there at the parking lot and head back home without the pet.

According to Kerry McKeel, a spokesperson for the Harris County Animal Shelter, the place fits two hundred pets, but the current number of animals in the shelter is five hundred and counting.

“It is a capacity crisis for Harris County Animal Shelter,” McKeel told The Dodo.

When leaving their pet behind, owners come up with a bunch of excuses such as moving places, being unable to take care of the animal any longer, their landlord preventing them to take the pet in, and more. But there are also those who are brutally honest and say how they simply don’t want the pet any longer.

The scenes are heartbreaking, as there are distressed, confused, and frightened animals all around the place.

The staff at the shelter are perfectly aware that the lives of all those abandoned animals are in their hands, and they do their best to help each and every one of them survive.

Despite the huge number of residents, the shelter still manages to keep their 90% lifesaving rate and they are proud of that.

The number of abandoned animals gets higher when the summer comes.

These people who do everything in their power to keep all those animals alive and safe are the real heroes who deserve all our respect.

Below is just a small portion of the chaos the shelter workers have to put up with every single day.

Wife Played Husband Their Wedding Song over FaceTime as he Passed Away from the Coronavirus

No country is spared from the coronavirus pandemic. People are left wondering when this madness is going to end so that they can get to their old way of living again. But will we be able to ever live as we did before the spread of this virus? No one knows for sure, because as we hear of more and more people dying from it, we become more and more frightened and isolated from one another.

What we need to understand is that behind all those numbers we are presented with every day for the past couple of months are real people who lost their lives and were completely alone when leaving this world.

Joe Lewinger began experiencing COVID-19 symptoms around St. Patrick’s Day and died from complications of the virus just two weeks after the diagnosis.

His wife, Maura, wasn’t allowed to be by his side but doctors were kind enough to let her FaceTime with Joe. He passed away listening to their wedding song and Maura telling him how much she loved him and how much he meant to her.

“I played our wedding song for him. And then that was it.”

Maura shared her family’s devastating story with CNN’s Erin Burnett and opened her heart and soul. She says how Joe was a very healthy man and how his mild symptoms turned severe in a very short time.

Joe was a respected member of the community and worked as an assistant principal and a basketball coach for the catholic school team in Long Island where he and his family lived. This man was a father of three and described by everyone as loving, devoted, and caring.

After he was admitted to hospital, Joe was given anti-malaria medications to treat the virus, but his condition only worsened as days passed by. Maura was heartbroken she couldn’t be by his side during those tough times, but eventually, she found a way to show him her support and love using FaceTime.

“The country is getting used to remote learning and we had to get used to virtual caregiving and virtual marriage in just being there for each other,” she said.

“I saw him and I begged him not to leave us and told him we all need him,” Maura added.

As the family stayed home, they were waiting to hear some good news and hoped Joe would be back home soon, but that didn’t happen.

“We have thrown the kitchen sink at him and I’m afraid he doesn’t have more time,” the doctor told Maura.

She then asked to FaceTime with her husband for one last time.

“I thanked him for being the most amazing husband, for making me feel cherished and loved every single day,” she said.

Moments later, Joe passed away.

Maura is now begging others to stay home and help in the fight against the deadly virus that left her children without a father.

“People are just not being careful. People are being so invincible-feeling and they think it can happen to them,” she said. “You cannot, cannot, be with people that are not in your house. As sad and lonely and everything that is, you must, must stay with only the people in your house.”

We are deeply saddened by this family’s loss. Rest in peace Joe.

5-Year-Old Wakes from Surgery With No One by His Side, Nurse Approaches and Holds Him Tight

Hospitals are for many a frightening place to be, but when it comes to kids, they experience visiting these places in a more stressful manner than adults.

A five year-old-boy named Shade Thompson had to undergo two surgeries in a very short time. His mom Layla told Liftable how he was having troubles walking as he only took steps using his toes, not his entire feet. The doctors at the UPMC Susquehanna Health in Williamsport, Pennsylvania took care of Slade and he was recovering just great. After the surgery, the boy had to use a wheelchair for two months, though.

“He’s been through a lot this last year,” Thompson told WNEP-TV.

“We had been in the children’s hospital,” she went on, “so we were kind of nervous just going to a hospital to have it done.”

After he recovered completely, he underwent another operation. This time the doctors had to cauterize Slade’s tonsils, adenoids and both sides of his nose. The surgery was successful and he was about to wake from the anesthesia.

“Kids don’t typically come out of anesthesia very happy,” Slade’s nurse, Annie Hager, told WNEP-TV.

When Slade woke up and realized he was still at the hospital without his mom by his side, he got really scared and started crying. Luckily, the nurse who went to check on him was there to comfort the sweet boy and tell him that everything went well and that his family was waiting outside.

Nurse Hager really did an amazing job. She was there for Slade and she saved the day.

“When I told him mom couldn’t be there, he asked if I would snuggle him and I said, ‘sure will,’” Hager explained.

I dont post things very often but this little guy touched my heart, and his mama's beautiful kind words and actions have brought tears to my eyes twice now! A few weeks ago Mr. Slade came out of surgery to the recovery room and was my first patient of the day. Let me tell ya, this little man was by far the bravest 5yr old I have ever met! Most kids scream their way out of anesthesia (to no fault of their own, it's a pretty normal response to all the stuff we give them) but Slade, although crying at times, was calm and sweet, but obviously scared and in some pain. All he wanted was his mommy who wasnt immediately available. He asked me if I would snuggle him and take care of him. I jumped right in that bed and snuggled up that little guy so fast! His small sweet request made my heart so full!!! His momma took this picture of us the day of surgery, and surprised me at work with these beautiful flowers and another BIG hug from my bestest little friend today! Layla Thompson I thank God everyday for people like you and your precious little man! I feel so blessed to have met you all that day and truly feel I've made some wonderful friends through it. This right here is why I LOVE my job. It is why I go to work everyday. Its moments like this that make it all worth it ❤❤❤❤

A post shared by Annie Hager (@anniehager44) on

Layla was eager to see her son, and the moment she entered his room she saw the nurse hugging her boy. She though it was the most touching thing to witness and took a photo of the two. Initially, she wanted it to be a sweet reminder of how loving nurse Hager was, but the photo was soon shared on the social media and went viral.

“As a nurse, providing care is one thing, but making sure our patients are calm and comfortable matters just as much,” UPMC wrote on Facebook.

“It’s nurses like Annie — who show true compassion — that keep our patients happy.”

“You want someone to treat your child the way you would treat them,” Thompson told WNEP-TV. She and Slade returned to UPMC with a gift and thank-you hug for the special nurse.

“This little guy touched my heart, and his mama’s beautiful kind words and actions have brought tears to my eyes twice now!” Hager shared on Instagram. “This right here is why I LOVE my job.”

Layla also shared with Liftable how she spoke with her son about the surgeries before they took place as she believes that being familiar with the procedures helps the kids do better.

“The parents can be calmer, kids can be calmer, everything just runs smoothly,” she said.

“I would tell other parents to confide in other parents who have had similar situations but also remember one bad experience with one person doesn’t mean you will all have that,” she cautioned. “Every person and case is different.”

The most amazing part of the story is that nurse Hager was supposed to have a day off on the day of Slade’s surgery but she was called in because they were running short.

This loving lady, whom Slade now considers his best friend, made all the difference for the scared boy and we believe people like her is what this world needs more of.

Angela McQueen: Hero teacher takes down student gunman and saves lives

The number of shootings in the schools around U.S. is staggering. Most of them result in innocent students and teachers being either hurt or left dead, and that’s beyond sad.

The shootings cast dark shadow over the educational institutions which should otherwise be safe shelters for the students. So, instead of being at peace while their children are at school, many parents worry for their safety. These incidents are usually easy to carry because of the fact that buying a gun in the country is pretty easy. And as the wider public asks for stricter gun control laws to be passed, the debate is still going on.

Among the possible victims and people involved in the shootings, there is always someone who is brave enough to fight against the shooter. It’s because of these people that the death toll of shootings is lower than it could’ve been.

In a recent accident that took place at Mattoon High School in Illinois, such courageous person who made sure students won’t get hurt is teacher Angela McQueen. She has been working as a P.E teacher at the school for 17 years and is regarded as a shy person and an awesome educator.

When she recalls that day, Angela says that the only thing that crossed her mind after she spotted the teen lifting the gun was, “You’re not going to do this to my kids.”

As the boy started firing shots, Angela didn’t hesitate even a bit before she tried to disarm him.

“I sprang into action because I looked over and I saw a student pull a gun out and he was aiming it at students to his right,” Angela said in a video released by the Illinois Education Association.

“I immediately lunged at the gun and I got the gun up in the air as quick as I could, as fast as I could because I didn’t want him to hit the students.”

Angela held down the shooter who was still trying to use the gun and fired a couple of shots into the ceiling. Once the sound of a shot was heard, another teacher rushed towards the cafeteria, and soon after, it was full of police officers who disarmed the teen.

Bridget Shanahan, spokeswoman for the Illinois Education Association said that one 16-year-old student was shot during the incident, but he recovered and was soon released from the hospital.

The shooter whose name wasn’t revealed because he’s a minor was charged with one count of aggravated battery with a firearm.

Angela’s quick thinking helped in preventing greater tragedy from taking place that September 20, 2017.

“Had the teacher not responded as quickly as she had, I think the situation would have been a lot different,” Mattoon police Chief Jeff Branson said.

Once the shooter was in the hands of the police, Angela made sure everyone was fine.

“She was walking around and making sure everything was OK. And I went up and gave her a hug and thanked her because she could have — that could have been a lot worse and she made it to where it wasn’t,” student Anna Morton told CBS.

What Angela did that day made her a hero. Her big heart and bravery got her the award for outstanding service.

“We are forever grateful to Angela for her courageous actions that saved the lives of our kids. She was a ray of light in our darkest hour,” Superintendent Larry Lilly said in the release.

Ed Sheeran Surprises Teen Performing One of His Songs in a Mall

Most of us have a favorite celebrity person that we admire and die to meet in person one day, although we know that may never happen. But in case it does, it looks just like this 13-year-old girl named Sydney Bourbeau meeting Ed Sheeran while performing one of his songs at a mall. How incredible is that?

Sydney was singing at a fundraiser event for the local Humane Society. The song she chose was “Thinking Out Loud” and she had fun time. But little did she know the day would turn to be even better than she ever expected.

The encounter between the teen and the super star took place back in 2015, but it was so cute that we had to share it with you.

Ed Sheeran is one of America’s sweethearts but has fans all around the world, including Canada, where Sydney is from. His songs are number one hits and people of all ages enjoy his music.

It was a fortunate stroke of serendipity that Sydney performed the song live on the day when Sheeran and his cousin Murray Cummings were taking a walk around the mall.

Sheeran felt pleased and decided to surprise the girl while Cumming was holding the camera. They really wanted to put the whole thing on tape.

At the time, Sydney was performing in front of a small group of people. Needless to say, they were all very happy they took a minute of their time to stop and listen to the teen.

As all eyes were on Sydney, the crowd didn’t notice when Sheeran walked up on the stage.

But the moment they realized it was really him standing right next to the girl, they couldn’t hide their excitement. Sydney, however, didn’t understand what was happening. Speaking to The Edmonton Journal, she said how she though someone was coming to fix the sound or something.

When she saw Sheeran staying by her side, she covered her mouth in surprise. Was that really happening?

In the next moment, her solo performance turns into a duet she will never forget. It doesn’t happen that often that your favorite musician runs into you singing his song in public and joins in.

Sydney was all confused and had no idea what to do next. “I was like, should I stop? I didn’t want to stop, but I wanted to talk to him,” she told The Edmonton Journal. “This is, like, the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

Well, she did the right thing finishing that song, despite her voice was shaking.

The crowd went wild and felt lucky to be sharing this one-of-a-kind experience with Sydney.

What Cumming caught on tape was plenty of surprised faces of passersby at the moment they realized it was in fact Sheeran himself who was dueting with the girl.

The best part of the whole thing was that the voice of Sheeran and Sydney blended just perfectly. It looked as though they were practicing for this.

At the end of the mesmerizing performance, Sydney got a hug and a kiss from the music star.

We all know that Ed Sheeran is a very kind and humble person. It was later reported how his manager contacted Sydney and offered her tickets for an upcoming concert of Sheeran. Isn’t that adorable?

The video of the unexpected mall performance is a must see. Check it out below.

Elderly Widow Enters Restaurant Alone Not Knowing Three Young Men Are Watching Her Closely

Some encounters are meaningless and fade away as though they have never happened, others, however, have the power to change one’s life in a ways they have never expected. Such was the meeting between an elderly lady and three men who watched her closely as she entered Brad’s Bar-B-Que in Oxford, Alabama, one evening.

Now, as she recalls that faithful encounter, 80-year-old Eleanor Baker knows it was God’s will for it to take place. “It was a God thing. I think God sent me there [as an example that] people care about other people and how important it is.”

This loving elderly lady is a widow and lives with her furry pal. She does have a family, but they all live in other cities, so she spends most of her days all by herself.

The evening started as usual, with Eleanor taking a seat and ordering her favorite meal. But then, out of the blue, a young man approached and asked her whether she would mind if he sat with her.

Jamario Howard and two friends of his entered the place just after Eleanor and they somehow knew she felt lonely, so they wanted to make her evening by keeping her company.

“He just came up and he said ‘I saw you sitting over here alone’ and he said ‘do you mind having some company?’” Eleanor recalls.

She said yes, and had no idea she would have that much fun. They, on the other hand, were happy they met such positive person like Eleanor. “When you make that kind of connection with somebody, it’s hard to let it go,” JaMychol Baker, one of the boys, said.

Jamario, who says he always wanted to change the world and make it a better place for everyone, says how meeting Eleanor had deep impact on him and his friends. They knew that their act of joining her table that evening meant the world to her, and they are glad they put a smile on her face.

“I’m not rich. I’m not famous. And I’m not very smart either, so I can’t be president. But we can show the world it’s alright to be kind,” Jamario said. “And then, before long, maybe the world will be a much better place.”

These guys showed us that we should always make sure those around us are happy, because that’s the only way that leads to our own happiness.

Exhausted Dog Found Swimming a Staggering 130 Miles From Shore

As a group of workers was toiling on the massive oil rig in the Gulf of Thailand, one of them spotted a pretty unusual sight.

A terrified dog somehow found himself there in the ocean and no one knew how. It was Vitisak Payalaw who alerted the crew of the poor animal.

The shivering dog was all puzzled, as was the entire group of people. How could an animal so tiny end up 135 miles off the coast?

But that was not really important. What was crucial was for them to come up with a plan to get him out of the water.

First, the workers tried pulling him off by lowering a pole, hoping the animal would be able to climb onto. But the plan failed as the dog kept slipping off.

“I thought that if we didn’t move quickly, I would not be able to help him,” Vitisak said. “If he lost his grip, it would be very difficult to help him.”

Eventually, they managed to lasso the poor soul with a rope. Once on the rig, the dog felt relieved knowing he was at a safe place.

“His eyes were so sad. He just kept looking up just like he wanted to say, ‘please help me,’” Vitisak said. “At that moment, whoever saw this, they would just have to help.”

The kind people not only saved the dog from certain death, but they also gave him lots of food, water, and a bunch of hugs. His tiny eyes were filled with gratitude for those who lent him a helping hand. They named him Boonrod, a Thai word for ‘survivor.’

“He looked extremely exhausted and ran out of energy. He didn’t move much,” said Vitisak. “He was shaking and he couldn’t stand, he had to sit all the time.”

The next thing they needed to do was to come up with a plan on how to transport Boonrod to the mainland. How they did it? They erected a special cage with a blanket and water and had it lifted by a crane onto a ship.

All of the workers said how they would miss the sweet pup, but they knew he was about to start his new, better life.

Once on a land, Boonrod was taken in by Watcdog Thailand, an organization that helps neglected and abused dogs. They took him for a check-up and were willing to help him recover from the ordeal.

They also hope someone will come along and offer him a forever home. But in case that doesn’t happen until Vitisak returns home, then he would be the one taking the dog in.

Doctors diagnose teen with constipation, dies 24 hours later

Jack Dunn was 17 years old, a teenager and he was having terrible stomach pains, he even struggled to walk properly with the pain he was in. His parents were quite rightly concerned and took him to a hospital for doctors to assess him.

The doctors gave their opinion to the boy and his parents, they said he had really bad constipation. They gave him a laxative but by the lack of a few more simple and inexpensive tests, they didn’t realize his condition was far more grave!

His father found Kieron, from Wales in the UK, in his bed just 24 hours after he had been released from the hospital, he was dead…

Hi parents say that the doctors were not really concerned about his really bad stomach pains at all, they scanned his stomach to check is was not appendicitis then they just moved on.

Jack’s father said:

“We took him to A&E and completely trusted the doctors in telling us what was wrong with him. He could barely walk he was in so much pain. He was given a bladder scan but it didn’t really show anything up. The doctor said he was baffled and believed Jack was suffering from nothing more than a bad bout of constipation”

Sadly though, the doctors were not able to find Jack’s medical condition at the time, its really sad to think a small, fast, and inexpensive test could have saved his life.

Jack had a condition known as diabetic ketoacidosis, it slowly turns the blood acidic, damages organs severely producing excessive ketones in the blood.

It turns out that Jack had diabetic ketoacidosis.

It all happens as a result of the body not producing enough insulin from the pancreas…

Kieron said:

“When Jack was finding it difficult to breathe the doctor thought it was probably anxiety because Jack was anxious about being in the hospital …But him struggling to breathe was because his organs were closing down because of the ketoacidosis.”

“Finding my son dead in his bed was the worst moment of my life. I believe Jack would be alive today if a few more simple tests had been carried out.”

Jack’s family are really emotional knowing that it could have easily been prevented if the doctors gave him a very simple glucose test, it would have taken less than two minutes to do the test with a straightforward prick of the finger and a small drop of blood!

Source: Wales News Service

“Jack’s white blood cell count was up so that was an indicator something was going on in his body that wasn’t right. If they had tested him for ketones he would probably be alive today.”

If ketoacidosis is suspected, it’s easy to test for ketones in the blood with a finger prick test, its also easy to treat with insulin, if caught in time it is very manageable.

Ketoacidosis also presents symptoms of fatigue, states of confusion, unusual and great thirst, rapid breathing, and the need to urinate much more frequently, keep these in mind, maybe one day you can help someone knowing this!

Jack’s parents really want to use their story and the tragedy to educate people that could end up in similar circumstances, so that this easily treatable condition doesn’t take any more lives, especially of children or young teens, which is usually when it tends to happen most of the time.

Woman demands a mother and daughter speak English, gets completely ridiculed

Nowadays, although everyone leads a very busy life and follows tight schedules, many people still find the time to stick their noses in someone else’s business.

Just recently, a woman was caught on tape arguing with a mother and a daughter she stumbled upon in a store because they weren’t speaking English but another language.

People who have seen the video can’t help but wonder why would someone even mind what language people are using in order to communicate between each other.

America is a free country in which people are entitled to the freedom of speech and are allowed to express their opinions on whatever language they feel most comfortable using.

The incident took place at Walmart in Appleton, Wisconsin. As the mother and the daughter were engaged into a conversation, this random and quite rude woman appeared in front of them out of the blue and started yelling at them. She could be heard saying, “speak the language,” referring to English.

The daughter, Jasmine, who later posted the video of the incident on her Facebook page, and her mom were not harming anyone. They could speak English because they both know the language but opted to use their native language, Hmong, because the mother was more comfortable speaking it.

After they told the woman that they were allowed to speak whatever language they wanted, she got even madder. She didn’t know what to reply so she said something that sounded very confusing. Her exact words were, “I guess it’s, like, because, it’s just kinda like, ok, you don’t know what, not that it’s any of your business.”

Honestly, with such poor language skills, she isn’t really eligible to tell others how to speak.

Jasmine tried being reasonable and told the woman that according to her logic, she should be speaking Hmong if she ever visits her native land to what the woman replied how she took some Spanish classes before she went to Mexico once. Trying to defend her point, she even counted to 10 in Spanish.

Both Jasmine and her mother felt humiliated and required the woman stop making racist comments. She replied that asking them to speak English wasn’t racist at all after she simply walked away.

The video of the unpleasant encounter got more than a million views and people said how Jasmine and her mother did the right thing by not getting into conflict with the woman who attacked them verbally. They were calm and polite, which couldn’t be said for that woman.

We are glad the video was shared on the social media because it’s one of the ways through which we can raise awareness of the negative effect racism has on people.

“God Doesn’t Make Mistakes”: Rory Feek’s Emotional Tribute to His Daughter With Down Syndrome

Joey and Rory were a beloved country music duo up until 2016, when Joey lost her battle to cervical cancer and said the last goodbye to her husband and their two-year-old daughter Indiana.

Ever since the loss of the person he loved the most, Rory spent his days taking care of Indy. No matter how much it hurt, he always knew he had to remain strong for his little girl. Sweet Indy is 6 today, and her father says she’s the best thing that has ever happened to him.

Despite the sadness and the grief that came with Joey’s passing, Rory never stopped inspiring his fans by sharing stories of his and Indy’s everyday life on his blog “This Life to Live.” People love how devoted, supportive, and loving Rory is. Raising a girl all by himself isn’t an easy task, but he believes Joey’s spirit is still there and guides him through the way.

Indiana was born a few months before her mom’s diagnosis and Rory and Joey didn’t know she had Down Syndrome until she was welcomed into the world. But that never bothered them even a bit. On the contrary, they knew Indy was a blessing and now Rory wants the whole world to know that by paying emotional tribute to his girl.

In one of his blogs he titled “Crib Notes” Rory speaks of Indy and says, “God doesn’t make mistakes.” He wants people to know that being a girl with Down Syndrome doesn’t make Indy less loved, or a mistake, as some people would say. No child can ever be a mistake, regardless of how they look. And Indy is a real beauty.

Rory goes on writing how his daughter’s life is as meaningful as that of any other child out there. She has her likes, dislikes, and dreams.

“…somewhere between 70 – 90% of pregnant mothers that get tested and learn that their unborn child has down-syndrome abort the baby.   I get it though.  The world has told us that they are less.  A mistake.  But I don’t believe they are.  At least I know Indiana’s not.  When she was born, Joey and I said, ‘this is the child God wants us to have’, and we believed it.  And we were right.  I can not imagine Joey not having those two years to be a mama to Indiana and get to experience the love and happiness that Indy brought to her,” Joey wrote.

Rory, we are very glad you shared your daughter’s story with us and brought a spotlight to these incredible kids.

Camera Footage Shows Stranger Saving Lifeless Child at Supermarket

Different people react differently in stressful situations. While some get easily frightened and start to panic, there are also those who stay calm and are able to pull themselves together. And it’s not about how brave they are, it’s simply in people’s nature to react one way or the other.

A video footage caught on the security camera of a supermarket shows how a man who found himself in a middle of a stressful situation managed to keep a cool head and save a child’s life.

The video shows a distressed mother carrying her lifeless daughter in her arms and running around in panic. She then hands her baby over to the stranger standing at the checkout. As everyone is shocked by what is going on, the mother gets out of the shop to get to her husband.

The father is as panicked as his wife and they anxiously wait for the ambulance to come, but the stranger who has the girl in his arms knows they are running out of time so he takes matters in his own hands and gives the child CPR. Thankfully, she starts breathing.

This stranger became the family’s hero. He saved the girl’s life and they can’t thank him enough for acting that fast.

Journalist Chris Cuomo Opens Up About the Bizarre Symptoms He Experienced While Battling COVID-19

The coronavirus pandemic seemed to slow the whole world down. The number of people affected grows with each passing day and no one can tell with certainty when this madness will be over, but one thing we know for sure is that this virus doesn’t discriminate. Young or old, rich or poor, famous or not, it can affect anyone.

Understandably, he felt scared at the beginning as he didn’t know how things will progress. Although the symptoms the virus causes are more or less the same at most of the people affected and include cough, fever, and shortness of breath, they manifest with different level of intensity at different individuals.

Cuomo was so worried after the diagnosis that he had troubles sleeping and spent the first days sitting in a pool of his own sweat.

But then, after he came to terms with the reality and spoke to a pulmonary expert, Cuomo became aware it was up to him to fight “the beast” off.

Further, he says how the expert told him things could get ugly unless he follows some of the advice which included activities that felt painful during those moments, such as getting up, holding his breath and then taking a deep one, and stretching his torso.

“You’ve got to do the things that will beat this virus. You’ve got to breath deep when it hurts—and it hurts,” Cuomo explains.

Some of the other things you can do and are crucial in the fight against this evil virus is drink a lot of water, take the Tylenol, and breath deep, especially when it hurts. These all worked for Cuomo, so we honestly hope his experience will help others end up winners themselves.

Please take a look at the video below and hear Cuomo’s experience of battling Covid-19 first hand. Share it with your friends, maybe it will reach someone who is fighting the same battle.

Cruel Babysitter Accused of Burning 6-Month-Old’s Feet for ‘Crying Too Much’

When a person agrees to become a babysitter and take care of other people’s children, they should be perfectly aware that little kids can be demanding. And yes, babies and toddlers sometimes cry for no apparent reason, so it’s the sitter’s job to find ways to calm them down and show compassion and tenderness.

The reality is that we have heard of so many stories of babysitters abusing and mistreating the children under their care that we should always be extra cautious when choosing whom we trust our greatest treasures to.

Unfortunately for one family, they chose the wrong person for the job, and it ended with their child suffering severe burns.

The nanny in question, Ismelda Ramos Mendoza, 36, was cooking tortillas while on the job, and the six-month-old baby girl she was supposed to keep safe started crying. This crazy woman then took the sweet baby and put her tiny feet onto the burning oil.

When the mom got home and spotted all those blisters on her daughter’s feet, she asked Mendoza for an explanation. Mendoza, however, pretended to be surprised and claimed how nothing happened that day.

The mother, of course, knew Mendoza was the one to blame as the girl was with her all day. Naturally, she wouldn’t let the cruel babysitter off the hook, so she contacted the police and told them how her little baby was hurt.

Doctors said the girl suffered second degree burns. They could assume they were from burning oil.

Since the horrific incident took place, Mendoza was charged with child abuse, and we hope justice will be served as soon as possible and she will pay for what she did.

Landlord Cancels Rent for Hundreds of Tenants so That They Can Afford Food Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

The greatness and the compassion one possesses is best seen during tough times. With the coronavirus pandemic that left whole countries on lockdown, many people lost their jobs and struggle to make ends meet. Many economies are on the verge of cracking and as much as governments are trying to make things right and keep them on the right path, it’s the ordinary citizens who are affected the most.

However, stories of empathy towards those that are left impoverished during these hard days are what give us hope that we will end up winners and overcome the struggles. One Brooklyn landlord is one of those people who is restoring our faith in humanity, by canceling a month’s rent for hundreds of tenants.

He wants people to use that money to provide enough food for themselves.

News outlets have reported how 59-year-old Mario Salerno, who owns around 80 apartments across the Williamsburg and Greenpoint areas, with more than 200 tenants living there, has decided to waive the rent for April.

Just imagine the faces of the tenants when they got out one day and saw the sign their landlord placed on the front doors of the apartment buildings saying they don’t have to pay the rent. Priceless, I guess.

Grandmother makes her grandchild hang over 50-foot balcony so she could rescue her cat

When we think of grandmas, images of lovely and caring ladies comes to our mind. These women are there to spoil their grandchildren rotten and make their days fun. But do all grannies share these same characteristics? Judging from this story, the answer is a big no.

If you ever thought your grandma was “mean” to you for making you eat veggies and doing chores around the house, wait until you see what one grandma did after her daughter left her kid under her care one day.

Both the grandma and the grandpa assured their daughter how her kid was safe with them and promised to keep a close eye on him, but they failed big.

The 7-year-old boy was happy to be with his grandparents, but he was most excited to be playing with their cat. He kissed him, and hugged him, but the cat seemed not to like that kind of attention so he decided to get away from the boy by leaping off the balcony.

In the next moment, the cat found himself trapped on a ledge one floor below his owner’s apartment. Realizing her cat was in danger, the grandmother got very furious with her grandson. The poor boy was very sorry and apologized many, many times, but the grandma would only accept it if he agreed to get down and save the animal. How, you may wonder. She constructed a device using a backpack and some long ropes.

The boy was very scared but was ready to agree to it all as long as it made his grandma happy. So he put the backpack on, tied the rope, and let his grandma lower him down to where the cat was.

The cat already escaped from the boy, and that’s how he find himself in such situation in the first place, so he didn’t want to get closer to the boy. But the grandma started shouting at the grandson, telling him to rescue her cat no matter what it takes.

Luckily, he was able to catch the feline, after which the grandma pulled him up to safety.

The shocking scene of the boy hanging over 50-feet balcony shocked the passersby. Some took their phones out and filmed the whole thing, watching in complete disbelief.

In no time, the video of the boy and the cat was shared on YouTube and people were very angry at the grandmother. They couldn’t believe how she could put her own daughter’s son in such danger.

We are positive the boy’s mother was devastated at how her mother treated her son. He could have easily fall down and die.

If you ever got mad at your mom for being strict to your kids, probably for their own good, now you know there are grandmas from hell out there and it makes you call your mom and thank her for taking care of your little ones the right way.

It was later reported how the grandma realized she did a very careless thing and was deeply sorry for making her grandson going through such ordeal.

You can take a look at the shocking video below.

Teen picked up by cop to stay warm after train delayed, soon realizes he’s driving out of town

With all of those bad news about intolerable cops, we get a different picture about police officers. However, we all know there are some exceptionally good policemen out there. Kelly J. McCormick is one of them.

The story is actually about Kori Malenfant. This woman was suffering from Chiari malformation, which in essence is a opening in the skull. The opening results with brain going through the spinal canal.

This malformation is treated with a surgery and Kori went to New York just for that. With her parents besides her, Kori managed to endure the surgery successfully.

On her was home, from New York to Portland, Maine, Kori and her parents got stuck at the train station. It was just 4 days since her surgery. They missed the train from Boston to Main since the train in New York was a bit late.

It was in the night, winter, and it was freezing. Kori’s parents decided to ask a nearby police officer for storing their bags, so they can find a warm place for themselves .

But, the policeman did something very kind instead.

She posted the story on her Facebook account and she explains:

“Because of the recent inclement weather and train cancellations, our Amtrak train trip back from the Presbyterian Hospital in New York was longer than expected, which caused us to arrive in Boston too late to get on the next train.”

She also adds:

“Unfortunately, this train wasn’t leaving the station for another 2 1/2 hours. The train station was very cold, with no place to leave our luggage, and no option for comfortable seating/support for my neck.”

The parents’ plan was to secure the bags, take a taxi and go to a warmer place.

Kori says:

“The officers quickly assured Mom that they would help us by contacting their captain to see what he could do. Shortly after, the Boston police captain came to us and asked us to follow him.”

Kori and her parents started talking to the Captain Kelly J. McCormick. Upon learfning their problem, he said:

“OK guys, follow me. We’re taking a little ride.”

Surprised and with no clue of what was going on, all three of them thought he was going to drive them to a warmer place. However, the captain started driving further north.

Regarding this, Kori recalls:

“Mom asked where we were going, and he laughed and said he was kidnapping us and that it was perfectly legal. We soon realized he was driving us all the way to Portland, back to our car.”

She also adds:

“He said there was no way he was going to allow me to sit in the cold so soon after surgery and that it was his pleasure to drive us.”

This amazed and shocked the family. The good-hearted man decided to take them to Portland and that meant a lot to them.

Upon long talks, the family learnt that the captain was one of the main commanders in charge during the Boston Marathon bombing.

Boston Police Superintendent-in-Chief William Gross wasn’t surprised by the officer’s kindness. He says:

“That’s not a one-time thing with Captain McCormick. He’s always giving. He’s a very free-spirited and giving individual. He has a great soul… The mayor’s allowed us to put captains in each of our 11 districts that do get it, that do go above and beyond.”

At the end of the day, Kori has only kind words for the captain. She says:

“He is a humble, inspiring, kind man.”

She adds:

“Thank you, Captain Kelley McCormick. May God richly bless and protect you as you have blessed and protected so many others.”

Three college graduates are strapped in an electric chair and their last words are hilarious

When you have best friends who love to drink and party as much as you do, no one really knows how the night out will end.

Three women decide to celebrate their college graduation in Mexico but they get so drunk that they wake up in jail. They are told they will be executed in the morning although none of them has any idea of what they did wrong.

When asked about their final words, this is what they had to say. I warn you, this is hilarious.

The first one, a redhead, is strapped in the electric chair and is asked if she has any last words. She says, “I just graduated from Trinity Bible College and believe in the almighty power of God to intervene on the behalf of the innocent.”

They throw the switch and nothing happens. The executioners all immediately fall to the floor on their knees, beg for forgiveness, and release her.

The second one, a brunette, is strapped in and gives her last words. “I just graduated from the Harvard School of Law and I believe in the power of justice to intervene on the part of the innocent.”

They throw the switch and again, nothing happens. Again they all immediately fall to their knees, beg for forgiveness and release her.

The last one, a blonde, is strapped in and says, “Well, I’m from the University of Texas and just graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and I’ll tell ya right now, ya’ll ain’t gonna electrocute nobody if you don’t plug this thing in.

6-Year-Old Nearly “Cut In Half” By Incorrectly Worn Seatbelt

Seatbelts serve the purpose of keeping you safe in case of an accident. They redistribute the force caused by a collision away from vital organs.

However, many times, using them incorrectly may cause even greater damage than not using them at all.

“When children are not properly restrained, meaning they are in a lap-only belt, they are in an ill-fitting lap/shoulder belt, or even if they moved the shoulder portion of the seat belt behind them or under their arm (whether in a booster seat or not) to keep it from rubbing their neck, they are at a greater risk of seat belt syndrome.”

Using the seatbelt incorrectly is so common that there is even a term known as a “seatbelt syndrome.” Unfortunately, this is the reason why children may get severely harmed or even killed.

Such was the case with 6-year-old Samantha Swartwout from Virginia. While she and her father were driving around, he hit a tree and poor Samantha was nearly cut in half.

Samantha had the seatbelt on, but she wasn’t sitting in a booster sit, so when the accident took place the seatbelt was drawn across her abdomen.

When her mother was alerted of what had happened, she could never assume her daughter’s injuries were so severe.

Her doctor, Charles Bagwell spoke of Samantha’s case on NBC12 and described how the inappropriately placed seatbelt made things worse.

“Where you could see the stripe of the seat belt in an enormous bruise across her abdomen, as well as the fact that the edge, the far edge of the belt, had actually cut through her abdominal wall, and she had protruding intestines from that. She was just about cut in two. Much of which, quite frankly, couldn’t be repaired. The injury was too severe.”

In order to keep her organs inside her body, the doctors had to use “binding” material.

Speaking of the accident, Samantha’s mom, Martin, says she regrets she didn’t force the girl use the booster sit although she wasn’t in the car that day.

“A lot of people seem to think that when the children don’t fit so easily in the booster, that it’s okay to take them out of the booster. That’s not the case,” Martin warned.

She believes that many parents don’t realize the dangers of not using booster seats. But what her daughter had to go through should serve as a warning. She hopes no other child will ever suffer such injuries because of something that could be easily avoided.

“Samantha also moved the shoulder belt behind her. So now the lap belt was carrying twice the force, and because she’s not tall enough without a booster, the lap belt went across her stomach instead of her hips. Doctors call the injury this caused ‘the seat belt syndrome.’”

Samantha now suffers from post traumatic stress disorder and still endures physical pain.

No matter how much your children complain about the booster seats or having the seatbelt on, don’t ever let them enter the car without having them on.
