When first time mommy Courtney English, 23, was in the eighth month of pregnancy, she was doing her best to earn enough money for the big arrival. So, no matter her condition, she still worked her usual job as a waitress at the Lamp Post Diner in New Jersey.
This lovely lady always welcomes the customers with a smile and all her regulars knew just how excited she was for becoming a mother to her bundle of joy. That day, however, a new face stopped by at the restaurant, and his act of kindness touched this mother-to-be to the core and left her in tears.
As the local Voorhees County police officer entered the place on a busy Friday, the first thing he noticed was that the woman who served him was pregnant. He though she didn’t have it easy standing on her feet during the long shifts. The two engaged in a casual chat and after finishing his meal, the officer asked for the check.
What he did next quickly went viral all for the right reasons. His bill came to $8.75, but the tip he left was way bigger. Besides giving Courtney a generous tip of $100, he also wrote a message on it, and now everyone who has seen it is deeply touched by the officer’s action.
The message said, “Enjoy ur 1st. You will never forget it.”
“It was from the heart. It really
touched her,” dad Brian said. “There have been plenty of situations where she
got a nice tip, but just the little remark was what got her.”
Courtney’s reaction was very sweet.
She just couldn’t believe someone could be so kind and generous, so she rushed
to her boss with tears of joy in her eyes.
It was her father who though his
daughter’s story was worth sharing it with the whole nation. Needless to say,
everyone is praising the officer who wanted to remain anonymous.
One couple, Alison Spooner and Dean Durrant, made headlines years ago when they welcomed biracial twin girls into the world. While Alison is light-skinned with blue eyes and ginger hair, her husband Dean is of West Indian origin and has dark skin, black hair, and dark colored eyes.
Although they secretly hoped their girls would resemble both of them, they could never in their wildest dreams imagine that one of their twin daughters would be white just like mom and the other would be black just like her dad.
Laura and Hayleigh don’t look alike, but they share plenty of traits. When they first meet them, most people don’t trust them when they say they are twins. Of course, there have been comments by strangers over the years, but the girls don’t pay any attention to them and don’t let the mean words affect them in any way.
Source: Facebook
When Laura and Hayleigh were around seven years old, their parents told them they would have a sibling. Alison was pregnant again. They were all over the moon by the thought of welcoming another baby into the family, but doctors had a surprise for them. Alison was expecting twins again.
As her pregnancy proceeded, she and Dean sometimes joked that their other set of twins could be biracial again. Of course, the chances seemed to be extremely slim for a miracle like that to happen.
When she was 37 weeks pregnant, Alison’s babies were delivered through C-section because they were in the breech position. Right after birth, the baby girls experienced troubles breathing and were rushed to intensive care. Luckily, it wasn’t anything serious.
Source: Facebook
When the parents were finally allowed to see their bundles of joy, they were shocked. The girls were biracial, just like their older sisters. Little Leah inherited her mom’s skin color and features while baby Miya resembled her father.
Needless to say, this couple’s story went viral and made headlines again all for the right reasons.
Today, Laura and Hayleigh are teenagers. They are always there for their little sisters and guide them through the challenges they sometimes experience for being biracial twins.

What a beautiful family. We only wish them the best life can bring.
Every day, law enforcement put their lives on the line to ensure the safety of the general public. One restaurant staff decided to thank their local police in a special way!
A Tasty Thanks
The Slidell police officers often visit the local Outback Steakhouse for lunch, dinner and even late-night meals. Manager Arline Wood has nothing but nice things to say about the officers that visit her restaurant! She loves having them in and server Zoe says “they’re the sweetest guys.”
The Meals On Us
They always treat the staff with respect and dignity and Arline appreciates their continued patronage. That night two employees decided to take special care of some of the officers that had come in at the end of their shift. The Outback duo picked up the check for the four officers that were dining that night! Totaling around $67, server Zoe dropped off the receipt with a little note thanking the men for all that they do.
Outback Goes Viral
The officers were very moved by this kind gesture and gave Zoe a large tip in return! They posted a picture the receipt on the Slidell PD Facebook page and received even more positive feedback. Slidell PD said,
“Words can’t describe how this makes all of us feel. Thank you Ms. Arlene and Zoe for being so kind and showing your appreciation for law enforcement.”
Manager Arline said she never expected this kind of media attention, she just wanted to thank the officers for their service.
Keep It Up
Arline and Zoe hope this helps to inspire other people to take the time to thank the men in blue. Now, more than ever, the police officers need to be reminded that we still appreciate what they do!
A Good Deed Recognized
These women were able to show their gratitude and respect to the officers who serve their community! Let’s hope more people take a page of out their book and pay it forward. A positive act like this helps to combat all of the negativity in the world.
Please share to inspire others to show their appreciation for those who risk their lives every day to keep us safe.
Many times, when it comes to making decisions, we listen to our intuition. That gut feeling also tells us whether something bad is coming on our way.
Stephen Garofalo was on the job the day he could sense something wasn’t right. He knows all the people he delivers mail to as he’s been working as a mailman on the route in Wayne, New Jersey, for astounding 23 years.
Throughout his career as a delivery man, Stephen never experienced any inconveniences, neither he stumbled upon certain incidents or unusual situations. But that was all about to change when he spotted a two-year-old toddler wandering around the yard. What Stephen found concerning was the fact the child was all alone, unattended, and had a sad expression on his face.
When Stephen approached closer and asked the boy where his mother was, the little one pointed towards the house. After hearing that, the mailman felt like he should enter and make sure everything was alright. Once he was inside the place, he could see the boy’s mother hunching over a stroller, unconscious.
The woman had bad reaction to her medication and was just lying there unresponsive. Stephen immediately called 911 and asked for help. He stayed with her and her son until the paramedics arrived. A life was saved that day because of Stephen’s courage and kindness.
He later got a recognition from the United States Patrol Service for his action; he was presented with the Life Saving Award.
We believe what he did is really special. He didn’t think twice before offering help. He could have just ignored the boy, but he opted to care.
Take a look at the whole story in the video below.
Life is full of miracles and great things are just around the corner waiting from us to wide open our arms and embrace them.
When 30-year-old Katie Price went through a divorce, she didn’t see it as something negative, but as a chance to start her life over and discover happiness in fostering children.
She struggled with fertility issues, but despite that, she knew she would make a great mother one day, whether she would give birth to the children in her life or not.
Katie fostered four children during the years, but her life took a completely different turn for the better when she got a call about an abandoned 4-day-old baby who needed someone to take him in.
Katie and little Grayson bonded perfectly during the time he was under her care, and finally, once he turned 11-months-old, she adopted him. Needless to say, the day Grayson became her legal son was the happiest day of Katie’s life.
Grayson made Katie’s life complete, but she knew she wanted to adopt other children in the future too.
One day, she got a call from a caseworker who told her of a baby girl that was surrendered at the same hospital as Grayson was a year ago. They asked Katie whether she was interested in fostering the girl.
“I know over the next 10 minutes and subsequent phone calls I made that afternoon, the phrase ‘I know I am crazy, but God is telling me to say ‘YES’ kept coming out of my mouth.”
It wasn’t long after baby Hannah became part of Katie’s family.
But, as the girl was dropped at Katie’s house, something unusual caught her attention. The name of the woman listed as Hannah’s mother was the same as that of Grayson.
That could be just a coincidence, but something told Katie that there was more to the story.
Grayson and Hannah didn’t look alike at all, but that name written on their bracelets made Katie investigate further.
“Grayson is half African American with beautiful darker skin and dark curly hair,” Katie wrote on her blog. “Baby Girl has a pale white skin tone with straight red-blonde hair.”
After reaching Hannah’s birth mother, it turned out Katie’s intuition didn’t fool her. That woman told her how she had given birth to a baby boy before she had Hannah.
A DNA test confirmed Katie’s adopted children were biological half-sibling.
“What if Baby Girl had gone to another family?” Katie wrote in her blog post. “We would have never found her or Grayson’s mother. The connection would have never been made!
I could not believe the miracle that had just happened.”
Hannah was officially adopted in December of 2018.
“That day I said ‘Yes’ to taking the Baby Girl I felt the strangest feeling ever. I don’t think I had truly until that moment felt an undeniable calling from God.
My brain was telling me to say ‘no’ because it made no sense and was not in my plans, but something inside kept saying you have to say ‘YES’. It is a sheer miracle, once in a lifetime chance… call it what you will, but it is amazing that my children found each other.”
But Katie’s family journey doesn’t stop there. She’s now planning to adopt her children’s five-month-old brother.
Having baby Jackson in the house, the three siblings could be raised together.
“I am constantly taking leaps of faith and building my wings on the way down,” Katie says.
I am sharing my passions and loves along this crazy journey that God has blessed me with.”

One of the greatest actors and movie directors of all time, Clint Eastwood has spoken about an event from his young age that had a huge impact not only on the way he lived his life, but on his professional career too.
Born in May 31, 1930 in San Francisco, Eastwood showed interest for music and mechanics when he was pretty young. Working some manual jobs along the way, he eventually decided to pursue a career in acting, and that was a decision that not only affected his life, but the movie industry in general because his work is one-of-a-kind and most of his movies are iconic.
Old Hollywood & Beauty / Facebook
Eastwood got married twice and has seven children. His big-screen breakthrough came as The Man with No Name in Sergio Leone’s trilogy of excellent spaghetti westerns: A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For a Few Dollars More(1965), and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). From that moment on, his career only goes upwards and spans more than 50 years in both television and film productions. He has received many prestigious awards including Oscars for his movies Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby, as well as Grammy Awards. Actually, the list is pretty long.

When he was just 21, Eastwood was already a part of the U.S military. As a soldier, he was part of the crew that was flying with a Second World War-era navy bomber which unfortunately ditched. He found himself in the open, forced to swim to the shore.
“I was catching a free ride from Seattle down to Almeda,” Eastwood said in an interview with The Telegraph.
“It was stormy and we went down off of Point Reyes, California, in the Pacific. I found myself in the water swimming a few miles towards the shore. I remember thinking, ‘well, 21 is not as long as a person wants to live.’”

Although this experience was unpleasant, it took it’s role in the filming of the legendary movie Sully: Miracle on the Hudson. Surviving a crash on his own, Eastwood gave this movie a personal touch.
The movie script was based on a real life event of 2009, when a plane navigated by Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, played by Tom Hanks, ditched in the freezing water of the Hudson river.
This decision was later challenged by authorities which resulted with the pilot being involved in a long and tiring hearing.
“I suppose having been in a similar situation as the pilot, I would have chanced a water landing rather than go someplace where there’s no runway,” Eastwood said in The Telegraph interview.
“And of course, Sully was familiar with that area…he picked the right spot…He knew that somebody would see them” he continued.
Daily Clint Eastwood / Facebook
However, it looked as though this director was trying to depict what happened after the actual accident more than he was willing to bring to the audience the landing itself. He was concerned that authorities could question the pilot’s decision after so many lives, all 155 to be exact, were saved.
“Anybody who keeps their wits about them when things are going wrong, who can negotiate problems without panicking, is someone of superior character, and interesting to watch on film,” Eastwood said.
“But for me, the real conflict came after, with the investigative board questioning his decisions, even though he had saved so many lives.”
Take a look at how Clint Eastwood’s career evolved in the video below.
A sibling is the best gift that life can ever give you. Having a brother or a sister, or both, means having a friend for life. Siblings are those people that you can always rely on as you share the same memories and embark on the same adventures while you grow up, so the bond between you only grows stronger and stronger over the years.
Presley and Reef Brooks are siblings who are about to meet their youngest sister, baby Charleigh. The little girl was born six weeks prematurely and had to stay at the NICU for a couple of weeks. Neither Presley nor Reef had any idea that Charleigh was home already as their mom and grandma wanted it to be a surprise.

The siblings’ reaction to meeting the newest addition to their family for the first time is so incredible that the video of the encounter has been seen over 10 million times.
It took place in October of 2018, but it seems that it never grows old because it shows what true love really is.
The kids are aware something is going on as they see the camera rolling, but they probably expect some gifts. However, seeing their sister is way better than any toy out there.

Reef does get excited, but it is what Presley does that steals the hearts of many. She could be seen running towards her baby sister, but then she suddenly stops and takes a moment to compose herself. That, however, doesn’t last long as she can’t wait to give Charleigh a hug. The moment she takes the little one in her arms is so touching that we have a hard time stopping tears from falling down our faces.

Honestly, this is something you need to see yourself in order to understand the power of sisterhood. Awesome, indeed!
Jamie and Skyler Scott of St George, Utah, have always dreamed of having a big family. They already had two sons, but wanted more children. However, getting pregnant again was more difficult than they assumed.
After five years of trying, they turned to IVF treatments. After a couple of tries, Jamie’s pregnancy test finally showed two red lines.
Facebook/FiveTwoLove
The entire family was over the moon. They couldn’t wait to welcome another bundle of joy. Little did they know, however, that they would get more than what they hoped for.
As the level of HCG hormones was pretty high at Jamie, which is usually a sign of multiple pregnancy, she suspected she was carrying twins so she booked an ultrasound. To her and her husband’s surprise, they heard five heartbeats.
Jamie was advised to consume around 4,000 calories a day. “It’s a little much because it’s already like having a giant pumpkin in my belly. I feel full all the time, but yet I’m hungry and thirsty all the time. I have to eat more small meals throughout the day but packed with high-calories,” she said at the time.
Facebook/FiveTwoLove
Since multiple pregnancies are pretty complex, the family moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where Jamie was kept under the constant supervision of experienced obstetricians, among which Doctor John Elliott who has helped delivered 24 sets of quints and 108 sets of quadruplets. That meant Jamie was in safe hands.

“I wanted to be a great mother for all these individual human beings, and I was thinking about how we were going to do this. Then, I just had this overwhelming peace come over me, and just this message, ‘Just be love.’ I thought, I can do that,” Jamie said.
“Our goal was 32-and-a-half weeks. Dr. Elliott’s goal was 34 weeks,” this mom told LDS Living. “Given that our little Logan wanted to come at 21 weeks, I am so grateful that our babies stayed put until 29 weeks. I am just amazed at how well they are all doing.”
Facebook/FiveTwoLove
Babies Lily, Violet, Daisy, Logan and Lincoln were born on March 21, 2018 at the St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. They were all delivered in under 60 seconds and all of them weighted just under 3 pounds. Luckily, they were all perfectly healthy.
“The messages of love and hope that we’ve received from around the world have really helped strengthen us to get through this tough time of very, very high risk pregnancy,” Jamie said.
The little ones are now nearly four years old and have plenty of followers on social media.
A lot has been said of the unique and sometimes complex bond between twins. The fact that they share a womb together and get to spend time around one another even before they are welcomed into the world makes their relationship special.
“Whether or not your babies come home together or separately, the relationship between them will shape their lives right from the start. They are individuals who are born as members of a team. They will grow up with a strong relationship to the other members of their team,” Twin Magazine writes.

“Their relationship bond brings with it life-enhancing possibilities which are seldom enjoyed by single-born children. Soon they will begin to light up with joy at the sight of each other. Their daily companionship during early childhood lays the foundation for lifelong comraderie.”

One proud father named Mike Lasky shared an adorable video of his two babies whom he named Baby A and Baby B watching over one another just an hour after they were born. The little ones turn their heard towards their sibling making sure that they are there and that they are fine.

Although it only lasts for around 20 seconds, the video captured the attention of over 14 million people. A lot of people were eager to share their own stories about twins they know of and tell how exceptional that bond really is.
Some argued that twins use special language they use to communicate, something known as cryptophasia.

A woman from Washington DC named Christina Housel knew she was adopted. She, however, had a great life and didn’t think much of her biological family until she became a mother herself. All of a sudden, she wanted to learn more and her search led her to an astonishing discovery. Housel had a brother.
It didn’t take long before she learned who her brother was; Lyle James Berryman, a young man from Arizona who was also adopted.

The moment they both saw photos of one another, they knew they were siblings. According to both of them, their physical similarities were striking.
When they finally met and shared details about their lives, Berryman revealed something shocking. As it turned out, he knew his biological mother and was in touch with her. Before her passing, she told him that besides Housel, he also had twin sisters.

Both Housel and Berryman knew they needed to look for their sisters. Finding them wasn’t going to be easy, but they were determined to stop at nothing.
The first thing that came to their mind was to ask Internet users to help them with their search. They posted a plea on social media holding signs which read: “Just met after 30 years,” and “Still looking for twin girls born in Florida around May or April 1992-94. Their plea went viral with thousands of people re-sharing it online.

Luckily, the search was a huge success.
Sisters Lauren Rutherford and Ashley Bo had a story on their own. They were both adopted as babies and they had no idea they had older brother and sister. It took this family three decades to reunite, but it was all worth it.
Despite living at different parts of the country, the four siblings got together for a touching reunion. They had the time of their life and tried to make up for the lost time.

Joyce DeWitt became a huge celebrity after landing the role of Janet Wood in what is now considered a cult TV series, Three’s Company.
At the time she auditioned for the show, she couldn’t possibly imagine how successful it would turn out to be. The story revolved around three roommates living in an apartment complex in Santa Monica, California. Their constant misunderstandings, social lives, and financial struggles brought so much laughter to people from every corner of Earth. Even today, 37 years after it ended, Three’s Company remains popular in syndication and through DVD releases.

DeWitt starred alongside Suzanne Somers and John Ritter and the three helped made the show what it is today, a true Hollywood classic.
“It was such a gift. I mean, it was iconic. But who would have thought it?” Joyce DeWitt told The Spec. “All we were trying to do was make people laugh. When I think about it, the show was really an attempt to do a contemporary version of a 16th-century farce. It was about silliness running wild. I mean, we were talking about serious issues at times, but that was always somewhere underneath.”
“John Ritter used to say, ‘We don’t want people to just laugh but to fall over their couch laughing,’” she added. “The real issue was always the depth of friendship and the love those characters had for each other. That’s what drew people to them.”

The show was cancelled in 1984 and DeWitt decided she needed to take a short break. However, things didn’t turn out as expected and she stayed out of the spotlight for over a decade. Being someone who enjoys privacy and a quiet life, she didn’t regret her decision to distance herself from television.
“It was time,” she said. “I was ready for quiet and reflection. I loved being Janet, but she was never my whole reason for getting up in the morning. My identity and self-worth weren’t wrapped up in her, and that show.”
“Of course, there’s a lonely period. I missed the characters as much as the people who played them,” she added. “But I’m basically a hermit. My natural instinct is to go into the cave and ponder, not stand outside and howl. ‘Oh, I have a gregarious side, but there’s the inner Joyce too.’”
It wasn’t until 1995 that she turned to filming again, but no project she has been involved in reached the success of the series which helped her career skyrocket back in the day.

Suzanne Somers left the show in 1980, four years before it was canceled, because she wasn’t paid as much as her male colleague. She was mad at the producers and the directors and stopped speaking to everyone involved in the show, and that included DeWitt. The two only reunited again after Somers invited DeWitt to be her guest on her talk show in 2012.
“We had very different approaches to our careers,” DeWitt said of the relationship between her and Somers following the show. “We had very different needs. I did not have a child that I was supporting on my own. I didn’t have a business head, so I didn’t understand someone who did.”
Youtube/CafeMom Studios
Unlike her relationship with Somers, DeWitt remained very close to Ritter until his passing in 2003.
A month before he died due to an undetected flaw in his heart called an aortic dissection, DeWitt called his hotel where he stayed, which happened to be close to her home. She left him a message and he called her back some seconds later.
“As I’m walking out the door, the phone rings, and I pick it up, and it’s Johnathan,” she said according to Outsider. “And he goes, ‘Baby, we’ve got three parties and a dinner to do tonight. I’ll pick you up at 7!” It was so delicious … and a month later, he passed.”

For what we know, DeWitt never married and doesn’t have children.
Today, at 72, DeWitt is still very active both on stage and on the screen.
Being a teacher means being a role model and someone students look up to. But what happens when some of the educators find themselves in a situation where they can no longer put up with some students’ misbehaving and fail to cope with the challenges ahead of them? Unfortunately, in cases like this, many teachers opt for punishing the students using drastic and unacceptable measures and methods.
A situation that took place at the Cool Spring Primary School in King Williams, VA, back in 2016 raised the question of what ‘punishments’ are sort of deserved and what it means for teachers to cross the line.
What this teacher did, however, is simply outrageous. In an attempt to teach her students a lesson, she humiliated them and shook their self-esteem by forcing them to stuck their heads in a bucket full of urine.
It turns out that one of the kids peed in the bucket and all the class had to sniff the urine and try to guess who did it.
Shawn Martin, father of one of the students recalls the day his son got back from school. The boy said how he felt miserable because he had a really rough day.
“And I said you’re an 8-year-old in the second grade,” said Martin. “How bad could your day have really been?”
The boy then told his parents what happened, and they were furious at the teacher. Of all the methods she could use to find out who peed in the bucket, she chose one that put the students in an awkward and unpleasant situation.
“She made every male student smell the urine in the bucket,” said Martin.
“Stick their head in the bucket, smell the urine, and give their opinion from the smell of the urine which child urinated in the bucket.”
The school leaders were informed of the incident but commented how it was a personnel matter. They also confirmed that the teacher, who has been teaching for 26 years, is still on the job.
“Appropriate action has been taken to ensure that such conduct does not repeat itself. We will have no further comment.”
The parents of the students affected by the incident required answers and weren’t satisfied with how the school handled the situation.
“I don’t think anything is appropriate. That lady was in there teaching my son today,” said Martin. “I don’t understand how the administration lets her come back and direct those kids.”
Martin filed a formal complaint citing “unprofessional conduct.”
“They want to sweep it under the rug like it never happened,” said Martin. “That is not acceptable.”
Representational image
The school offered Martin to transfer his son to another class, but he believes that won’t fix the problem.
We simply can’t believe how an educator who’s been teaching for so long could do such thing, and we believe she should face the consequences of her action.
Most actors have vivid memories of the first time they got to be on stage and perform in front of audience. For many, this experience was exactly what made them fall in love with acting. This was the case with actor Thomas Gibson who grew fond of the stage after doing a Louis Armstrong impersonation at a local pizza restaurant at the age of eight.
“And it’s a source of great embarrassment to me now, but then, it was really great. So I think my mother realized that swimming and the other sports and the other sports I may have been involved with at the time weren’t quite enough,” he said of that ‘faithful’ night at the pizza parlor.
This made Gibson take acting lessons after school. The more he got involved with acting, the more he got to be enchanted with the profession. The local theater, which was run like a professional theater, was just the place for young Gibson. It became the place he felt most comfortable being at.

After performing with the Footlight Players at the Dock Street Theater, Gibson earned a scholarship at the famous Julliard School in New York. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1985.
The stage was his first great love and it wasn’t until the late 80’s that he turned to TV. In 1989, he appeared in 15 episodes of As the World Turns, and some years later, he landed a role in the film Far and Away.
What followed was his big breakthrough with the iconic role of Greg Montgomery on the television show Dharma & Greg which was a huge success. The series helped Gibson and his co-star Jenna Elfman become household names adored by millions. He received two Golden Globes nominations for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Comedy or Musical.
“We hit it off as actors, and as people, and that contributed to the characters,” Gibson told The Canadian Press about the show’s success. “That’s the sort of thing you can’t fake. It was something we never questioned. It was just there and fun. two actors who found each other and enjoy each other.”
Getty Images
In 2005, Gibson was cast in the series Criminal Minds. He played Aaron Hotchner and experienced enormous success but was fired after 12 years on the show. Apparently, he kicked producer Virgil Williams after they had an argument over a line.
“We were shooting a scene late one night when I went to Virgil [Williams] and told him there was a line that I thought contradicted an earlier line,” Gibson explained. “He said, ‘Sorry, it’s necessary, and I absolutely have to have it.’”
Gibson then left and told the rest of the cast about what had happened when Williams entered the room. “He came into that room and started coming towards me. As he brushed past me, my foot came up and tapped him on the leg,” Gibson explained. “If I hadn’t moved, he would have run into me. We had some choice words, for which I apologized the next day, and that was it. It was over. We shot the scene, I went home – and I never got to go back.”
Youtube/TinaC
The news about him leaving the show after 256 episodes left the fans in shock. Gibson issued a statement thanking his fans and saying he put his “heart and soul into it for the last twelve years.”
At the time he was fired from the show, Gibson was also going through troublesome time in his private life. His wife of more than 20 years, Christine Parker, filed for a divorce in 2014. It was finalized four years later.
As reported by Page Six, the actor wrote in the divorce filling that “the marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities … that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”
Ron Galella/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images
Neither Gibson nor Parker wanted the news of their separation to make headlines because they wanted to spare their three children from pain.
“Being a dad is the greatest experience of my life,” Gibson told People in 2016.
“We spent a year and a half in mediation. We kept it private because divorce is hard enough on kids without having to deal with it publicly. Christine and I switch off staying with our kids at home in San Antonio. We did the best we could and continue to do the best we can as parents.”

Gibson, who has a net worth $18 millions, was ordered to pay his ex-wife $3,000 a month for child support. He also continued paying for their school tuition and is residing at the family’s home in San Antonio every other weekend when he also has his children.
A man named Steven Hildreth Jr. was pulled over by a Tucson Police officer because of a broken headlight. But as it turned out, the officer had questions. He wanted to know if Steven had any weapons, to which he said yes. He explained that he had a gun but had a permit for carrying one.
Then the officer asked for the man’s licence and registration. As he had them in his right pocket, the officer had to disarm him so that he could reach his wallet.
Steven shared the rest of the story on his Facebook page and it quickly went viral with more than 600,000 shares.
“So, I’m driving to my office to turn in my weekly paperwork. A headlight is out. I see a Tucson Police Department squad vehicle turn around and follow me. I’m already preparing for the stop.
“The lights go on and I pull over. The officer asks me how I’m doing, and then asks if I have any weapons.”
“Yes, sir. I’m a concealed carry permit holder and my weapon is located on my right hip. My wallet is in my back-right pocket.”
“The officer explains for his safety and mine, he needs to disarm me for the stop. I understand, and I unlock the vehicle. I explain that I’m running a 7TS ALS holster but from the angle, the second officer can’t unholster it. Lead officer asks me to step out, and I do so slowly. Officer relieves me of my Glock and compliments the X300U I’m running on it. He also sees my military ID and I tell him I’m with the National Guard.
“Lead officer points out my registration card is out of date but he knows my registration is up to date. He goes back to run my license. I know he’s got me on at least two infractions. I’m thinking of how to pay them.
“Officers return with my Glock in an evidence back, locked and cleared.”
“Because you were cool with us and didn’t give us grief, I’m just going to leave it at a verbal warning. Get that headlight fixed as soon as possible.”
I smile. “Thank you, sir.”
“I’m a black man wearing a hoodie and strapped. According to certain social movements, I shouldn’t be alive right now because the police are allegedly out to kill minorities.
“Maybe…just maybe…that notion is bunk.
Maybe if you treat police officers with respect, they will do the same to you. Police officers are people, too. By far and large, most are good people and they’re not out to get you.
“I’d like to thank those two officers and TPD in general for another professional contact.”
“We talk so much about the bad apples who shouldn’t be wearing a badge. I’d like to spread the word about an example of men who earned their badges and exemplify what that badge stands for.”
Amy Schumer is one of the few celebrities who are never afraid to speak their mind. She appears to be honest to the core and that’s something people either love or hate about her.
During her childhood she experienced heartbreaks. When she was just 9 years old, her father lost the family farm and filed for bankruptcy. Her mother then left him and moved to Long Island together with Schumer. Some years later, he was hospitalized because of MC.
When she turned 13, Schumer learned how her mom fell for a family’s friend named Lou. This revelation affected her relationship with her mother a great deal.

Speaking of her love for comedy, Schumer told Laughspin: “I was a funny kid. It’s funny because now, when I go to headline, I think back to how I used to make my parents and my friends and my siblings sit there and listen to me tell stories and try to make them laugh. It’s ridiculously clear – for as long as I can remember, I wanted this specific type of performing.”
Once she graduated from Towson University in Maryland with a degree in theater, she moved back to New York City to pursue a career as a stand-up comedian, something she dreamed of almost her entire life.
“After college, I found that you don’t get to perform as often as you do in college,” she recalled. “I found a group of people backstage, or god knows where – an improv group, of which the leader was like this total schizophrenic – and one of the girls in my improv troupe was a comic. She did stand-up. She was like 45 years old at the time, and I went and saw her.
“I was like, ‘Oh, this is really appealing.’ I had seen a lot of stand-up before, and I’d never really thought about the possibility of doing it, but then when I saw this girl from my improv troupe doing it and getting some success, I was like, ‘I can do this.’ I tried it within a week or two, and I liked it right away.”

Soon after, Schumer made her television debut on Comedy Central’s Live At Gotham. What followed were a bunch of gigs. She even competed on the fifth season of Last ComicStanding in 2007 and ended up on the fourth place.
In 2010, Schumer was given her half-hour special with Comedy Central Presents. Her comedy included topics not many women talk about, such as sex, dating, and drinking. Some three years later, Schumer started her comedy show Inside Amy Schumer, which attracted the attention of a huge number of people and earned plenty of awards.

Besides doing stand-up, Schumer also turned to writing other things, including her first film in which she starred alongside Colin Quinn, Trainwreck. The film is based on Schumer’s life and portrays her relationship with her father.
Speaking of him, she told Barbara Walters on ABC’s Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2015: “Some days he’s really good, and he’s with it, and we’re joking around. And some days I go to visit my dad, and it’s so painful. I can’t believe it.
“In terms of my dad being sick, it was just confusing to me, especially the way MS works,” she added. “He was in physical pain. That’s when I kind of took the lead and took care of everybody in my family. I would keep them – I would keep everybody laughing.”
Eventually, she surprised her father by buying the farm he once lost.

At the moment, she’s writing a television series named Life & Beth which is in post-production.
Schumer has always been self-confident. She is not afraid to show off her natural beauty and shares photos of herself with no makeup on. She spreads a message that we should all love ourselves the way we are. Some few years back, she even started a movement after she asked her fans to tweet photos with no makeup in a parody sketch.
“I have been brought to tears with all the strong, badass, incredible women tonight. In jungles, jumping out of planes, holding their babies’ and mothers’ hands. All the strong lovely men who tweeted too. We are all different and beautiful. Let’s waste no time stressing bout looks,” Schumer wrote. “We are sisters and fighters and laughers and happy strong women. Smile at yourself in the mirror girl.”

Besides being a huge celebrity and one of the best comedians there are, Schumer is also a wife and a mother. She married professional cook Chris Fischer, whom she met after he cooked food for her family. He’s the brother of Schumer’s assistant Molly. It was she who introduced them.
As honest as she is, Schumer also opened up about motherhood and said that no matter how wonderful it is, it is also a ”constant feeling of guilt and vulnerability.”

During lockdown, she and her husband started a show called Amy Schumer Learns to Cook and showed her fans yet another side of her.
Martin Sheen has had an incredibly successful career in Hollywood. Born Ramón Gerardo Antonio Estévez, Sheen was “forced” to change his last name because he believed that way it would be easier for him to land gigs back in the day. While Estévez is still his official last name, he is widely known by his stage name, Martin Sheen.
“Whenever I would call for an appointment, whether it was a job or an apartment, and I would give my name, there was always that hesitation and when I’d get there, it was always gone. So I thought, I got enough problems trying to get an acting job, so I invented Martin Sheen,” he once explained. “I started using Sheen, I thought I’d give it a try, and before I knew it, I started making a living with it and then it was too late. In fact, one of my great regrets is that I didn’t keep my name as it was given to me. I knew it bothered my dad,” the actor added.
Sheen has always known his place was under the Hollywood sky, although his father didn’t approve of that career back in the day.
While he was trying to make a name for himself, Sheen met the woman of his life, Janet Templeton, who was studying art in New York City at the time they met.
In December, 1961, just a year after the two laid eyes on each other, they married in a small ceremony, between an 8 a.m. mass and a funeral.

During the filming of Apocalypse Now, Sheen, who was 37 at the time, suffered a heart-attack.
“There was a struggle to get me to a hospital because we were in a remote area of the jungle,” he shared with Closer. “My wife, Janet, was running down the corridor, and I was on a gurney being wheeled in, and I looked up and saw her face. She leaned down and whispered, ‘It’s only a movie, babe. Please, it’s only a movie!’”
This only assured him once again that she was the most special person in his life.

The couple welcomed four children together. Their eldest child, actor Emilio Estévez, was born in 1962. A year later, they welcomed son Ramón. In 1965, Carlos Estévez, or better known as Charlie Sheen, was born. Their youngest child, daughter Renée, was born in 1967.
Over the years, Sheen and Templeton have been through so much together. They dealt with a number of problems and struggles, one of which their son’s troublesome behavior. Charlie Sheen’s personal life made headlines because of his drug and alcohol abuse. He was also accused of domestic violence in the past.

Martin Sheen also struggled with alcoholism, but it was his wife who saved him each time.
Speaking of Templeton, Sheen shared with The Washington Post back in 2015: “I was fortunate enough to marry the scariest woman I’d ever met. She did not know how to lie. It was impossible. For me, the truth was a sometimes thing. For her, it was eternity. She would always call me out, thank God.”
However, besides calling her the “scariest woman,” Sheen and Templeton’s marriage has been an incredibly harmonious one.
When he undergone a quadruple-bypass heart surgery some years ago, his wife helped him heal. “She was there the whole time and I laughed my way back.”
Last year, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary and they are still going strong.
The devastating tornado which struck Kentucky on December 10, 2021, claimed the lives of eight people who worked at the Mayfield Consumer Products factory, making it one of the most catastrophic sites in an outbreak of at least 30 tornadoes hitting across six states in the Midwest and South.
Among those working at the factory at the time of the disaster was an inmate named Marco Sanchez. He and six other inmates were there as part of a program. Unfortunately, the tornado caused the factory to collapse, leaving a number of people trapped under the rubble. Sanchez suffered serious injuries; a broken leg and cracked ribs. Luckily, he still managed to free himself.
“Mr. Sanchez after freeing himself, with a broken leg and cracked ribs, unselfishly went and found tools and other items and returned and re-entered the rubble,” Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden said in a Facebook post.
After rescuing a number of people, he went to the hospital and asked for help. He stayed some time there until he recovered and the first thing he did after being discharged from the hospital was approaching a state trooper asking to be taken to custody. Allegedly, the trooper told him he couldn’t do that at the moment because the Graves County jail was destroyed. Sanchez then went to a public shelter and asked to be put in contact with the jail staff.
After he turned himself in, Sanchez was taken to custody. He didn’t brag about saving anyone, he just explained how he needed to stay at the hospital for some time because of his injuries. It wasn’t until police learned of an inmate rescuing trapped people that they discovered it was Sanchez who saved them.
This kind-hearted man had 14 days left to serve and even though he was offered probation he decided to fully serve his sentence.
“We hope someone will take a chance on him and give him an opportunity to start a new life,” the sheriff wrote. “He is a hard worker, as he has been assisting county government in moving offices since the tornado, and he is a very humble man. We wish him the best and applaud him for his sense of humanity.”
One of the people who lost their life at the factory was deputy Robert Daniel who was overseeing the inmates.
God works in mysterious ways and that is why we should never lose our faith, no matter how tough things get.
Desiree and Ryan Fortin always knew they wanted to be parents. So, when they tied the knot, the next logical move was for them to have a baby. Unfortunately, that turned out to be way harder than they hoped.
Desiree was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries, hypothyroid, and low progesterone, and no matter how hard they tried, the results were always disappointing.
Speaking of her struggles, Desiree wrote on Facebook, “It wasn’t just that I couldn’t get pregnant. [Infertility] brought me more tears than I ever thought I could shed…. I lay on my bathroom floor in complete emptiness after countless negative pregnancy tests time and time again. I had to endure shots, bruises, and all kinds of meds because when you are infertile and you seek fertility treatment for help, that is what you are in for. [It is] expensive and exhausting physically, emotionally, and mentally.”
Eventually, they turned to medicine and Desiree underwent an IVF treatment. Finally, their prayers were heard. The treatment was successful and she was pregnant. The best thing was that she didn’t have one baby, but three. It was more than these two ever hoped for and their lives felt complete.
The pregnancy, however, wasn’t an easy one. Being tiny and not that tall, Desiree was told she would probably fail at carrying her triplets. But she proved doctors wrong. At 34 weeks and one day, she underwent a C-section.

In the summer of 2015, babies Sawyer, Jack, and Charlize saw the light of the day. They weighted 5 pounds each.
Desiree didn’t see her bundle of joys right away because she needed to undergo an additional surgery, but Ryan made sure they FaceTimed every day.
”I’ll never forget my delivery day. Like all things involving parenthood, there were unexpected turns. After the triplets were delivered, Ryan went with them to the neonatal intensive care unit and I was sent to recovery‚” Desiree told Today.
”We are blessed, but parenting is also a hard job filled with the greatest of responsibilities — caring for tiny humans. Our babies have severe reflux and colic — times three. Getting into a routine is difficult, as is maintaining your relationship amid crying babies, sleepless nights and a new routine,” she said.
Today, the kids are all grown up and ready to welcome more siblings into their lives. Yes, Desiree and Ryan will become parents again and their story is just another proof that we should never give up trying in life.
Those who got to grow up around their grandparents are the luckiest people of all. Gradmas and grandpas are those special individuals who would always go an extra mile for the happiness and well-being of their grandchildren. However, when they get extra old, we should be there for them and return the love and the kindness they showered us with during the years.
Matthew Stewart, who is a popular TikToker from Florida, melted the hearts of a huge number of followers after he posted a video of his grandma’s sweet and very touching reaction after he told her he built a special room in his new home just for her.
Source: Instagram
88-year-old Bobbe, or GB, as Matthew called her, couldn’t believe she would be given her own bedroom, sitting room, and a bathroom. When she says “just to know someone wants me” and starts crying tears of joy, Matthew gets overly emotional.
He remembered all those times his granny was by his side during the most challenging periods of his life. He was glad he could return all the love she had given him throughout the years.
Since the video was taken back in October 2020, in the midst of the pandemic and the lockdown, Matthew even turned one of the rooms in his new house into a hair saloon so that he could style GB’s hair. She had always enjoyed having her hair styled, and Matthew knew he missed that. Although he didn’t have any previous knowledge, he still managed to cut his grandma’s hair the way she wanted.
This fun experience helped raise her spirits. She loved her new look and said her grandson made her “beautimous.”
The cute video of the saloon session has been seen by over 1.3 million people. They all praised Matthew for treating his grandma like a queen.
Another of Matthew’s videos shows GB’s reaction when she learns she would become a great-grandmother. She was over the moon and said she was more than ready to change diapers.
Unfortunately, GB had an accident shortly after this last video was posted online. She fell and needed to go to rehab, but she didn’t make it. GB passed away in January 2022. A month later, Matthew and his family celebrated what would have been his loving grandma’s 89th birthday. Sadly, she didn’t get to meet her great-granddaughter.
When teenage mothers give birth to their children at a very young age, they are not always ready neither mentally, nor financially to take care of the little ones. Their bundles of joy are often given up for adoption and end up with new families. This was the case with Stacey Faix who had given birth at the age of 15, some 35 years ago.
This woman believed she would never see her son ever again, but fortunately, that wasn’t the case. The state of Pennsylvania passed a law back in November 2017 that allowed adopted children to have access to the information about their biological parents. When Stephen Strawn, Faix’s son, learned of this, he was determined to meet the woman who brought him into the world.
Once he got the documents into his hands and finally learned his biological mother’s name, he could finally start the search. He told Inside Edition that “It was a big sigh of relief.”
The first thing he did was to try and find her on Facebook. I guess that’s one of the greatest benefits of social networking sites, that you can get in touch with people who are long lost. Once he found a woman with that name, he sent her a message, saying, “Hey, I have a really weird question. Did you put a baby boy up for adoption in 1982?” The answer he got was the one he was anticipating to hear for so long. He then proceeded saying, “I think you may be my biological mom.”
These mother and son shared common interests. It turned out they would both take part in the Pittsburgh Half Marathon as team members of the organization Red, White and Blue.
The day of the race was the day the long lost mother and son would finally embrace each other. However, Faix had no idea she would see her son. She only realized that would happen after someone handed her a card that said, “It’s been 13,075 days since you last saw me. I didn’t want you to wait one more day.”
“We must have hugged about 10 different times,” Strawn said. “We get done hugging, look at each other and then hug again. It just felt really surreal that it was finally happening because it happened so fast.”
This marathon was the first of the many things Faix and Strawn would enjoy together in the years to come. We are so glad they are now part of each other’s life.
Many of the fascinating discoveries by people interested to learn what life was like back in the day leave us speechless.
Now if you believe the pyramids of Egypt hold secrets, take a look at this perfectly preserved city which was accidentally revealed in 1850 after a storm swept across the Orkney Islands. The place was hidden under the ground for so long, but now people can see it and enjoy its unique structure.

The settlement, called Skara Brae, was discovered by the farmers who were shocked at what came from under the ground as a result of the storm that caused devastation and killed around 200 people.

What resembles an entrance made out of rocks leads to eight stone houses historians believe were inhabited between 3180 and 2500 BC which makes Skara Brae, or the Scottish Pompeii, one of the oldest agricultural villages in Britain. It has gained UNESCO World Heritage Site status as one of four sites making up “The Heart of Neolithic Orkney.”
flickr/jonlord
It is estimated that this magnificent place had been the home of around 50 to 100 people who were probably forced to abandon it because of a storm. The settlement was gradually covered by a drifting wall of sand that hid it from sight for over 40 centuries.
flickr/MarkusSchroeder
In each of the houses, there is furniture which is also preserved. Among the rest, there are lockers, bureaus, seats and waterproof storage boxes. Some believe the people living there kept live seafood inside those storage boxes to consume it later. One of the houses, in which there is no furniture, is believed to had served as a workshop. What is fascinating is that the settlement has a sewage system with tiny toilets in each of the houses.

Many of the findings leave archaeologists puzzled, like this carved stone ball on the photo below.

In hopes of protecting Skara Brae and keeping it as it is, a concrete wall has been built around the houses by the Scotland’s government as the sea waters pose a serious threat to it along with the number of tourists eager to visit the prehistoric place.

Skara Brae is a fascinating piece of humans’ history and we should do all to protect such places from destruction.
Duchess of Sussex Megan Markle has been under the limelight from the moment she started dating her now husband, Prince Harry.
Media outlets and famous magazines were all obsessed with her every move and the public was eagerly waiting to learn what the new addition to the Royal Family was up to at any moment. All the fuss made her and Prince Harry step down from royal duties and turn to a much quieter life in the United States together with their cute son Archie whom they welcomed in their lives in 2019.

And as fans paid close attention to Markle’s change of style, as well as hairstyle, they discovered how the actress’s natural hair is in fact curly. She inherited it from her mom Doria who is an African-American.
Kamie Crawford, former Miss Teen USA and vlogger wrote on Twitter: “SOLVED MY OWN CASE. We got curls in the royal palace,” and posted a photo of the Suits actress.
Many accused her of putting too much focus on Meghan’s race, emphasizing her curly hair, but Crawford answered back and wrote, “If you don’t understand that this tweet is in celebration of Meghan and all of her royal gorgeousness. You’re intelligent enough to speak to me, even though a tweet (…) Please go sit down somewhere while the rest of us co-wash our curls with joy for our new princess.”
SOLVED MY OWN CASE! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 We got curls in the royal palace y’all!!! ➰➰➰➰😩😩😩🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Starting a petition to get Meghan to wear a fresh wash & go around the palace. #MeghanMarklepic.twitter.com/5QyRed0VDJ
Well, as it turns out, people believe Markle looked divine with the curls and wonder why she never appears in her all-natural edition. They want to see her rocking her curls so badly that they even started a petition back in 2017 asking the former actress to go back to her natural curly hair, according to Elle Australia.
Curls or no curls, Megan Markle looks stunning.

This is the incredible story of Jordan Windle, 22-year-old diver who got to the Olympic Games in Tokyo this year as part of the U.S. Olympic Diving Team.
When he was just a year old, Jordan’s parents died and he was left to live in an orphanage in his homeland of Cambodia. He was a fragile baby who suffered from parasitic infection and whose future didn’t seem bright. However, that all changed when Jerry Windle, a gay man from Florida, stumbled upon an article about a single man who adopted a child from Cambodia.
“The story went on to talk about the close relationship between the father and his son, and something kind of clicked in my head… The article listed (the number of an adoption service) and so I called the number and I said ‘I just read an article, is it possible for a single person to adopt a child?’ and they said ‘Yes, it is,'” Jerry shared with Today.
Months later, he was holding his son in his arms and was ready to give him a new lease on life back in America.
When Jordan turned 7, he attended a summer camp and it was the start of an incredible life journey which involved the sport that would change this young man’s life forever; diving.
While Jordan was at the summer camp, Jerry got a call from Tim O’Brien, whose father Ron O’Brien coached a number of successful divers over the years. Tim told Jerry that there was something in his son and that he was meant for diving.
Two years after Jordan’s first encounter with diving, he “won his first junior national championship, which is almost unprecedented for somebody that just got into a sport,” as his dad told Today. “I know the hard work that he’s put into it, it’s been earned, and I’m just really excited and proud that with his coaching staff, he’s been able to accomplish such an amazing feat,” the proud father added.
When asked why he dives, Jordan answers that it’s because of his dad. Jerry is extremely happy to watch his son succeed and how his career skyrockets further and further with each passing year.
Sadly, because of the pandemic and all the restrictions, Jerry couldn’t accompany his son to Tokyo.
“I can usually hear (my dad) out of everyone in the audience, which is awesome. Not having him at the Olympics will be different,” Jordan said, as per The News & Observer. “I wish he was there, but that doesn’t really change what I’m going there to do: To have fun, show off a little bit, and put on a show for everyone. That’s going to be my intention and I’m hopefully going to make him proud.”
The young star thanked his father for everything he has done for him over the years. “Without him making all the sacrifices that he has, and his love and support the whole time we’ve been together, I really wouldn’t be where I am today. I have him to thank for everything, all my accomplishments. It’s been an amazing journey with him, and we’re still rolling.”
Landon, a 7-year-old boy with autism, was going to his first flight alone. He was about to meet with his father. His mother, Alexa, hoped everything would be just fine but she had her concerns because she was aware her son could easily get scared. In order to ease her fears, she decided to write a letter to the person who would be sitting next to Landon. She then gave the letter to her son and asked him to hand it to the passenger next seat.
Source: Facebook/ Alexa Bjornson
The letter read:
“Hello! This is Landon! He is 7 yrs. old and this is his first flight alone today.
“He has high functioning autism, which means he is very smart and loving, but he tends to get emotional when he is scared and can get hyper. He might ask you “are we there yet” a few times or get a little loud with his headphones on. If you could please find it in your heart to make him feel comfortable and safe I would be forever grateful!
“He might get scared on take off, But he has snacks packed and games to play. My Name is Alexa (Mom) and if you see anything on the flight I should know, please txt or call me. this is for you! ($10) Thank you so much and try to enjoy your flight! Alexa.”
Source: Facebook/ Ben Pedraza
The person who ended up sitting next to Landon was a man named Ben Pedraza. He was deeply touched by this mom’s honest words and her concerns so he made sure he kept Landon company. The two played rock-scissors-paper together, talked about school, and played video games.
Once the boy’s visit was over, he returned home and gave his mom a letter from Ben who wrote that she was a lucky mom for having such a great son as Landon. He also added that he didn’t want to take the $10 she enclosed at first, but he then decided to donate it to the Autism Society in honor of Landon.
This mom was very grateful to the perfect stranger who made her son’s fight comfortable.
