The act of giving and receiving can have a powerful impact on relationships.
When the young man from the following joke decided to send his loved one a new pair of gloves along with a beautiful note, he didn’t expect the salesperson would make a mashup with the order.
This is hilarious, you are going to love it!
A young man wanted to buy a pair of expensive gloves for his sweetheart’s birthday.
He went to an expensive boutique, bought the finest gloves available, and asked the saleswoman to have them delivered along with a note he had written.
Unfortunately, the clerk mixed up the order while wrapping the merchandise. Instead of the expensive gloves, the clerk accidentally wrapped a pair of panties and sent them to the young man’s sweetheart along with the following note which he had written.
Darling: I have been trying desperately to come up with a special gift for your birthday. I chose these because I noticed that you are not in the habit of wearing any when we go out in the evening.
I would have chosen the long ones with buttons, but since your sister wears the short ones which are so easy to remove, I wanted to get the same style for you.
You may be concerned that these are a delicate shade, however, the saleslady showed me a pair that she had been wearing for three weeks and they were hardly soiled. She said that there are a couple of important care considerations that I should mention to you.
First, when you take them off, remember to blow in them before putting them away since they will naturally be a little damp from wearing. Second, be sure to keep them on while cleaning them so that they won’t shrink.
The saleslady made such an impression on me that I had her try them on for me. She really looked great in them and I can just imagine how great they are going to look on you.
I decided to mail these so that you would have them in time for your birthday. I really hesitated because I wanted so much to be there to watch you put them on for the first time.
There is little doubt in my mind that many other hands will have touched them before I see you again. I can hardly wait to run my own hands over them or do as the French do, and gently kiss them. I hope you really like them and will wear them for me on Friday night.
P.S. – The latest style is to wear them folded down with a little fur showing.

College professors are expected to live by some standards because at the end of the day, they are the ones who shape future members of our society and teach them not only how to gain knowledge on certain subjects but how to become respected individuals.
Sadly, the reality is different at times and professors sometimes find it difficult to maintain the conduct they are supposed to have when facing certain situations, such as having contact with beautiful students.
Well, the professor from the following joke found himself in a certain situation and got called out for that. What happened next is likely to make you laugh.
A middle-aged college professor receives a knock on the door of his office on campus.
After fumbling about for a few moments, he opens the door to find an old man, who greets him with a big smile and says: “May I come in? I worked in this very room thirty years ago when I was a professor at this college.”
“Sure!” replied the professor. “Be my guest!”
The old man examined the room, fondly remembering everything.
He said, “The same old room, the same old wooden table, the ventilator and the same old window that opens to the garden. And the same old desk.”
When examining it, he noticed there was a young girl hiding under the desk.
The younger professor got alarmed and said, “Don’t mistake me. She’s my daughter. She dropped her earring and is searching for it.”
The old man grinned and said, “And the same old story.”

There are times in life when we get disappointed because we couldn’t get that new phone, or because we couldn’t afford a nice vacation. Sadly, we don’t realize that there are people who live on the verge of poverty and would do anything to have the things we have, and that’s the reason we should never take things for granted and always be thankful for the life we have.
Angel David was about to turn eight years old. Up until then, he had never celebrated his birthday the way his peers did, with a cake or a party. It wasn’t that his mom didn’t want to do a proper celebration for her son, she just couldn’t afford it.
But this year was different. Angel’s class teacher and his classmates knew he had never had a party before, so they decided to step up and throw one for him.
They were all inside the classroom, waiting for Angel to arrive.
The moment he appeared at the door and heard everyone singing Happy Birthday, the sweet boy was in shock. He just couldn’t hide his happiness and burst in tears of joy.
Some would say that this gesture is a small one, but it meant the world to a boy who had never had a birthday celebration in his life.
To see Angel’s sweet reaction, go to the video below.

One thing about former President and business mogul Donald Trump is that he’s a public figure who’s under the spotlight all the time. The same, however, can’t be said for his youngest son, Barron Trump.
The truth is that a lot about Barron’s life is a mystery to the public.
He doesn’t expose his private life and is rarely seen in public. What we know of him is that he’s currently attending the private school Oxbridge Academy and is part of the class 2024. He, along with his parents, lives at the family’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
Barron was born in 2006, the same year when Donald and Melania tied the knot. He grew up in the Trump Tower in Manhattan, where he is reported to have an entire floor for himself. Although he has lived surrounded by luxury, he never had a traditional nanny while growing up. Instead, Melania took all the care of him, and that included preparing him breakfast and lunch every day.
Back in the day when Barron was born, Donald Trump did something unconventional. Just 20 minutes into the world, the former president alerted the media that he became a father for the fifth time.
As reported by several newspapers, he called MSNBC’s long-running radio show “Imus in the Morning,” hosted by Don Imus, to reveal the great news.
“Everyone’s perfect,” Donald Trump, who was 59 at the time, told Imus.
“I continue to stay young, right? I produce children, I stay young,” while Melania’s website posted that the baby weighted in at 8 1/2 pounds and was 21 inches long.

What many noticed is that Barron didn’t stop growing from the last time he was spotted out in public, including Ivana Trump’s funeral which he attended together with his parents.
Last year, Donald Trump, who stands at “only” 6 feet 3, actually spoke of his son’s height.
“Barron is 6-foot-7, can you believe it? And he’s 15,” Trump said.told NY Post.
“Eric is short — he’s only 6-foot-6.”
In one clip from Trump’s press conference, panning across an entire room of people, the president’s son could clearly be seen in the background, dwarfing all others.
Nowadays, however, it’s hard for the Trump family to be out of the spotlight having in mind that Donald Trump was indicted by a New York court in March.
Melania Trump has decided to stay quiet and has not been on the campaign trail or in the courtroom with her husband. She has also stayed silent when her husband’s mugshot went viral after he was booed and fingerprinted at a Georgia jailhouse for charges of election fraud.
Getty Images North America/Chip Somodevilla
That, according to a People Magazine source, has to do with not only herself but also Barron Trump.
“Melania is good at taking care of business at hand, which includes her own life, the life of her son, and the lives of her close family members,” the source told People Magazine.
“She would not stand in a circle of people she knows and openly comment on the lawsuits or the mug shot. She will have her way of dealing with this and anything else publicly when she feels like it,” the source added. “Remember, Melania is a mom with a not-yet-adult son to protect. A mug shot that everyone is talking about is just one more issue to wade through.”
Melania is doing her best to keep herself and her son out of sight.
The reason for that is that in the middle of August, a Chicago social studies teacher was arrested over alleged threats to kill Donald Trump and Barron.
As per The Guardian, the death threat was sent in an email to the unidentified head of an educational institution in Palm Beach County, southern Florida, where Mar-a-Lago is located.
“I will state that I will shoot Donald Trump Sr AND Barron Trump straight in the face at any opportunity I get!” the woman wrote in an email in May.
A senior law enforcement official told CBS that the woman had been “on the U.S. Secret Service’s radar for several years.” Recently, the “nature of her threats escalated to become more specific.”

“Her family has expressed concern to law enforcement about her potential for violence,” a senior law enforcement official said. “She has struggled chronically with her mental health and recently reported stopping taking her prescribed medication.”
The woman’s attorney said, “She would never actually get close to Barron Trump because she’s afraid of him.”
He then added: “This is all a little wacky, but it doesn’t say that she’s a danger.”
In a September interview, Donald Trump spoke of his son and described him as a great kid. He also spoke of his wife and said, “She’s doing very well. She’s very strong, very, very even-keeled. And she’s a very good woman,” adding that things between them are doing well.
“She’s a very calm person. It’s very interesting, and I think that’s what people like about her. Our dinners are nice dinners, our dinners are like people’s dinners… we actually get along very well,” he explained.
Trump then added that he and Melania are “looking into” the possibility of Barron attending the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
“He’s a good kid, he’s a good-looking kid. He’s a great student, very good student,” the former president added.

Recently, the Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron found that Donald Trump, his family, his businesses, and the entire Trump Organization had committed fraud by overvaluing his wealth on business documents for years. This was to get better bank deals, which New York Attorney General Letitia James first claimed in her lawsuit.
With the ruling, Engoron revoked the Trump Organization’s New York “business certificates” and any other business based in New York City run by Trump or his family, which means that Donald Trump could be stripped of the control over some of his Trump properties, including his beloved Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan, where Barron grew up.
Trump spoke of the case on the social media, referring to it as to a “witch hunt.”
“The widespread attack against me, my family, and my supporters has devolved to new, un-American depths, at the hands of a DERANGED New York State Judge, doing the bidding of a completely biased and corrupt “Prosecutor,” Letitia James,” Donald Trump shouted on his Truth Social platform.
“Nothing like this has ever happened in our Country before. My Civil Rights have been violated, and some Appellate Court, whether Federal or State, must reverse this horrible, un-American decision. If they can do this to me, they can do this to YOU!” Trump added.
It’s not yet clear how this will affect Trump’s children, including Barron.

Linda Hunt’s life story and her determination to get to Broadway and Hollywood and reach for the stars is truly impressive. The star of NCIS was born on April 2, 1945, in Morristown, New Jersey. When she turned six months of age, her parents realized something could be wrong with her so they sought medical help. Linda was diagnosed with a form of cretinism, a condition of severely stunted physical and mental growth due to untreated congenital deficiency of thyroid hormones. In Linda’s case, that meant her motor skills weren’t properly developed.
Her parents, though, never lost hope of seeing their daughter grow up into a normal person. To everyone’s surprise, her motor skills were pretty much on par with the average child as she grew a bit older.
Later, she was diagnosed with hypopituitary dwarfism, she stands at 4 feet 9 inches tall, but not even that stood on her way to accomplish her dream of becoming an actress.

Speaking to CBS, Linda recalled her school days were hard.
“I was totally alienated by school almost from the first day, I had a bad experience with a teacher and was made to feel stupid. I felt bad that I didn’t fit in,” she said.
“Everybody either wanted to take care of me or push me around, you know? I was teased a lot, sure I was, of course.
“Fourth grade, fifth grade, sixth grade, everybody was taking their spurts except me.”
But that didn’t break her spirit, she just knew she was different and that made her unique.

After watching the Broadway musical Peter Pan, Linda fell in love with acting even further. The fire of the Broadway magic lit in her heart and never faded away. It was something that pushed her forward, until she finally found her place under the Hollywood sky.
“I’m lucky that I’ve always known what I wanted to do,” Linda told The Bulletin. “[Mary Martin, who played Peter] was astonishing in her belief in the world she was creating, and that was fascinating to me. She had the power to make others believe what was in her mind.”
“It was bigger than life. And that in some sense, I longed to be bigger than life because I wasn’t,” she told CBS.

Back at school, she took some private acting lessons and later found herself in the Big Apple. Once there, she was totally confused. Not knowing what to do or where to turn to, she took some jobs working backstage at theaters off-Broadway, but that wasn’t how she imagined her life.
“I moved into a shoebox-sized apartment in the city when I was in my early 20s with my father’s help,” Linda recalled.
“I was very young and very lost, I didn’t even attempt to act professionally. That would of meant getting an agent and going to auditions. I wasn’t capable of doing any of that. It was truly emotionally beyond me.”
After taking everything into consideration, she decided to move back to her parents. There, she met with her acting teacher again, and she was reminded of her love for acting and of the fact that she wasn’t someone who gave up easily, so Linda turned to acting once again. This time, nothing could stand on her way. That was all, of course, thanks to her parents who supported her and encouraged her unconditionally her entire life.
Youtube/Oscars
In 1975, Linda made her Broadway debut, starring in Ah, Wilderness. Shortly after, she starred alongside Mel Gibson in The Year of Living Dangerously where she portrayed a character from the opposite sex. Her acting was so impeccable that Linda received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She was the first person ever to win an Academy Award for playing a cis-gender character of the opposite sex. And during the Oscars ceremony, many people probably won’t recognize her at all.
Producer Peter Weir already cast Mel Gibson but he had a hard time finding the right actor to portray photographer Billy Kwan. Initially, it was Australian dancer David Atkins who got the part, but Gibson didn’t feel like playing alongside him, so it was decided that Linda gets the role.
“The sets were being built in Manila and time was of the essence,” Weir told The New York Times in 2019. “The casting agent said he had a possible Billy Kwan called L. Hunt. Later it was revealed she was a woman. We were desperate, we gave her a shot and it was brilliant.”
At that point, Linda already had a career in theater, and when she was offered the role, she was both happy and confused.
“I didn’t quite understand what I was there for; I talked to the casting director about it and he just said, ‘This would be a part that you would play as a man,’” she told The Daily Beast. “I said, ‘Holy shit,’ and laughed.”

She wanted the script to be changed and that she portrayed a woman’s character instead, but that was out of question.
“I said this would change the entire story and there was a silence,” Weir recalled. “‘Could you play a man?’ I asked her and there was a longer silence. ‘Only if you believe in me,’ she replied.”
She was told to wear a wig, pieces of rubber over her eyes to make her more “oriental,” and a mustache, but she looked herself in the mirror – and asked them to take all “this shit off.” The NCIS star wanted to do it her way if she was to do it at all.
“I didn’t try to pass myself off as a man; the movie wasn’t about that,” Hunt told the New Straits Times.
From that moment on, she never stopped getting roles and became a huge name in the industry.
For the past 10 years, she played the role of Operations Manager Henrietta “Hetty” Lange in NCIS and appeared in 280 episodes.
People got worried for her when she didn’t appear in season 12, but that was because she was extremely cautious with the COVID-19 and feared for her health. But not that she’s fully vaccinated, she continued filming and her fans are over the moon with that news.
When it comes to her love life, Linda has been married for ten years with Karen Kline, whom she has been dating for a lot more years.
They both tend to keep their private lives away from the public eye, so what we know of them is that they don’t have any children, but have three dogs and live in a beautiful Hollywood home built back in 1919. Recently, they opened the doors to their home for Los Angeles Times.
Linda Hunt’s net-worth is estimated at $12 million. She’s now 76 years old, and from what we can see, she’s not planning on slowing down when it comes to her successful career which spans many years.

The lives of the British royals have always been of much interest to the public, and Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, who is a much-loved member of the family, is not an exception. What’s most, the media follows her every move, and that includes her parenting style, her choice of outfits, and her leisure time activities among the rest.
As much as being appreciated as a Princess, Kate is often praised for the way she raises her children.
Both she and William tend to teach George, Charlotte, and Louis to live by certain values and have normal childhood, as much as that is possible.

When it comes to George, who is second in line of succession to the British throne, it is known that he is already well aware of the future that awaits him. His parents make sure he knows he would become a king one day and expect from him to act accordingly when the time comes for such a huge role.
William and Kate tend to impose a healthy lifestyle on the kids, and that includes plenty of physical activities.
At the same time, Kate and William are involved in a huge number of royal engagements which they execute to perfection and are the true representation of what the royal family stands for, and that’s tradition and loyalty.

However, since the passing of late Queen Elizabeth, Kate has gotten involved in even more royal engagements and she seems to be carrying a lot of weight on her shoulders.
According to royal correspondent Jenny Bond, Kate and William’s workload was crazy following the queen’s death.
“It’s been a brutal [work] schedule for William and Catherine and they’ve got a very young family,” Bond told OK!, adding, “I think the work-life balance must have been difficult these past few weeks and, let’s face it, it’s not going to get any easier with their new responsibilities.”

Royal expert Katie Nicholl, author of the new book The New Royals, said it hasn’t just had an effect on William and Kate’s work-life balance but on their personal lives as well as they both experienced stress and even anxiety.
“They’ve said that themselves… that this hasn’t been the settling period that they had hoped for,” Nicholl said on TalkTV’s show TheRoyal Tea.
“Of course, they made that big move just after the summer holidays to move to Windsor. A significant and pretty bold move leaving Kensington Palace, enrolling the children in new schools, and setting up a new life for themselves in Windsor,” she added.
“I think, really, so that they could be below the radar and have this normal family life which they are pretty successful in having. Of course, no one could have expected that the queen would have died just at the start of all of that. Very, very difficult times. I think behind the scenes there is a fair bit of stress and anxiety for all of the family.”

A source speaking to OK! told the magazine that the Prince and Princess of Wales have to juggle royal responsibilities and raise their three children simultaneously, which isn’t easy at times.
“William and Kate have been put in a very difficult position of choosing between the right path for their family or the future of the monarchy. Both are very important to them, but they have decided to put their children first while they are so young.”
However, with the children being on their autumn half-term holidays from school, which began on October 13 and will last until October 31, Kate will take a short break from her public royal engagements too. Instead, she will spend more time with her children.
Prince William is set to attend the Earthshot Prize Award, but Kate won’t be joining him because she wants to help George prepare for his exams.
“The Princess will not be attending. Prince George has exams that week, and the Princess wants to be at home to support him,” a source told The Mirror.
We are glad our favorite Princess is getting the much-deserved holiday.

Three’s Company actress Suzanne Somers died aged 76, a day before her 77th birthday.
Suzanne had been battling breast cancer for many years, and now her friends reveal that they tried to convince her to go through chemotherapy, but she opted to do alternative treatments instead.
Suzanne Somers was born Suzanne Marie Mahoney on October 16, 1946, in San Bruno, California.

She was raised by her mother, and her abusive father. Suzanne attended catholic school but was soon expelled because she was caught exchanging love letters. She then attended Capuchino High School in San Bruno from where she eventually graduated.
Suzanne’s life changing moment came when she got a small role in George Lucas’ film American Graffiti. “This is a life-changing moment. Five seconds on film that will never be forgotten,” she said, adding that Lucas told her, “Everybody will always remember the mysterious blonde in the Thunderbird.”
She was offered the role in Three’s Company after she got a gig at The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, where she began reading poetry in front of a national audience every month.

The role of Chrissy Snow helped Suzanne make a name for herself.
“I am really proud of creating that dumb blonde cause she had a moral code. She was lovable,” she said of the character she played.
At some point, when she reached a celebrity status, Suzanne caused a stir when she asked for a 500% raise. Instead of the $30,000 she made weekly, she asked for $150,000, the same amount of money her male co-star John Ritter earned at the time.
Instead of meeting her demands, Suzanne Somers was fired.
“I’ve been playing what I think is one of the best dumb blondes that’s ever been done, but I never got any credit,” she told The New York Times the same year. “I did it so well that everyone thought I really was a dumb blonde.”
Suzanne had battled breast cancer for over two decades.

It was back in 2001 that she revealed her diagnosis on Larry King Live, explaining that she had been diagnosed the year prior.
“In the last year I have been battling and surviving breast cancer, and I was in that clinic, and it all has to do with my breast cancer,” Somers told Larry King. “But it just, you know – I have had such an honest relationship with the American public. I mean, I have written books on alcoholism, and blending families, and they have been with me on my ups and downs and sides. And this was just one of those things – I think the most shocking words I ever thought, I never thought, I would ever in my life hear someone say to me that you have bIn reast cancer. And it was – it has been so…”
Suzanne continued, “I was in such shock. I’m very strong, and I was in such shock because I have always taken care of myself, and, I just thought, it would never happen to me, but I think that is what everybody thinks; it won’t happen to them. And, what’s interesting is what you learn about yourself when you are diagnosed with cancer. And cancer is not for sissies.”
She then spoke to a number of doctors who all advised that chemo is the way to approach her cancer, but she decided to turn to alternative medicine instead.
“As I’m hearing the common course of treatment, I – I don’t want to lose my hair, but that was the least of my worries was losing my hair. But I – I don’t like what that drug does to people. What I have seen… Chemotherapy. I have seen people under treatment, there is, you know, I know it helps people. I know it helps.
“It does [work for breast cancer], but I decided to find alternative things to do,” she continued. “Because I have done so much work in my books about hormones, and that hormonal balance is why people gain or lose weight, and, it was my belief that a balanced environment of hormones prevents disease. And the first thing they said to me, we are taking of off all hormones. I said no, I’m going to continue taking my hormones, which is the first thing against the common course…
“I didn’t want chemotherapy.”

At some point, it was revealed that Suzanne was getting treatments for cancer while on Three’s Company. In fact, she was treated for cancer three times during that time.
“Even when I was Chrissy on Three’s Company, I had had cancer three times,” Suzanne told CBS News in 2020.
“They call it severe hyperplasia in your uterus. I didn’t make a big deal about it,” she continued, adding that she also had malignant melanoma in her back in her 30s.
Suzanne lived with cancer for many years, and around six months ago, it looked like she had been finally healed, as per husband Alan Hamel. Sadly, as he shared with Page Six, the cancer returned once again.
Speaking to CBS, Suzanne said in a separate statement, “As one of millions of cancer patients, we do our best not to let this insidious disease control us. I find bliss in each day.”
Her cancer free days, however, were short-lived.

On October 15, her publicist shared the devastating news of her passing.
“Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years,” Somers’ longtime publicist R. Couri Hay wrote in a statement on behalf of the actress’ family.
“Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family,” the statement continued. “Her family was gathered to celebrate her 77th birthday on October 16th. Instead, they will celebrate her extraordinary life, and want to thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly.”
Further, Hay told People, “There were all these plans, and she was always working and dreaming and had brought her family into the business, and the grandchildren and step-children were all part of the business,” adding that Suzanne was “very engaged right to the end.”
Months prior to her passing, Suzanne explained that they had “used the best alternative and conventional treatments to combat it.” Many of her family and friends, however, didn’t like her approach to fighting the disease.
As per Daily Mail, they were trying to convince her to ditch the alternative medicine and turn to chemo instead.
“She was advised by several people to consider the more conventional approach, but she did not listen,” a source close to Somers told the Daily Mail. “She really only found out that the cancer was back at the beginning of summer so she didn’t have that long to really do anything other than accept it.”
The source continued, “She has always rejected chemo, so it wasn’t even an option. Her friends and loved ones urged her to reconsider so many times during her cancer battles and at the end. She never regretted her decisions, and she was prepared to go. She believed that she lived a life beyond her wildest dreams and truly made a dent in the world.”
Shutterstock
The source added that the actress was aware her time to leave the world was nearing and that she had the time to say goodbye to her loved ones.
“The timing of her passing was a blessing because her loved ones were there. She was able to say her goodbyes to everyone she loved, which was so many people. She was accepting of her fate and went with dignity.”
Her husband of many years revealed the last moments of his late-wife’s life.
“We were in bed together, and her breathing was erratic, and I had been talking to her for hours,’ he said.
“There was no response except when I kissed her, she responded, and then around five o’clock in the morning, she was gone.”
Rest in peace, Suzanne Somers.

Birthday celebrations attended by family and friends who have plenty of fun is a dream come true for every child. They not only look forward to the cake and the presents, but the attention they get on that special day.
Angel Craine, a mom of Queensland, Australia, was looking forward to her son’s 5th birthday party celebration. She spent plenty of time organizing the event and thought carefully about every tiny detail. Unfortunately, the worst thing a parent can ever experience took place. No kid was to attend the party, and the reason why is beyond devastating.
Mainly, the parents of Malachi’s friends refused to let their children attend the boy’s party because his mom was planning on serving them a vegan cake. Apparently, they didn’t approve of the family’s lifestyle.
Sadly, Malachi became a victim of bullying because of being vegan and because of his birthday cake.
Invites had been handed out two weeks prior to Malachi’s party, but his mom received no RSVPs at all.
Angel told 7News: “They’ve all bullied him and told him they aren’t coming unless he has cow in his cake.”
Further, she explained how she planned on baking a chocolate vegan cake, but her son’s friends hated the idea.
“I just can’t get over that kids his age already bully vegans. [Malachi] was pretty sad that no one wants to be his friend or come but he’s pretty resilient,” Angel added.
Credit / Angel Craine – Facebook
Malachi has been vegan since January, and according to his mom, he loves it. He’s also a huge animal lover who enjoys spending time at the local farm.
Since she has received no replies to the party invites, Angel decided to seek help from the members of the Vegans of Australia Facebook community.
“My four-year-old son seems to get bullied a lot for being vegan,” she wrote.
“Apparently none of his friends want to come to his birthday if he has a vegan cake and are always being rude about him being vegan all the time.
“So I’m wondering if there are any people around northside of Brisbane with vegan children that would like to come to his fifth birthday.”
Luckily, the response to her post has been positive, and so far, 12 children of group members would attend Malachi’s birthday celebration. “He’s super excited to make friends with similar interests and ethics,” Angel said.
It’s sad how people are judged based on their beliefs and lifestyle.

An old cowboy walks into a barbershop in Dillon, Montana for a shave and a haircut.
He tells the barber he can’t get all his whiskers off because his cheeks are wrinkled from age.

The barber gets a little wooden ball from a cup on the shelf and tells the old cowboy to put it inside his cheek to spread out the skin.
When he’s finished, the old cowboy tells the barber that was the cleanest shave he’d had in years, but he wanted to know what would have happened if he had accidentally swallowed that little ball.
The barber replied, “Oh, you would just bring it back in a couple of days like everyone else does.”

Singer Pink has postponed her Tacoma shows that were to take place on October 17 and 18.
The So What singer announced on social media that the reason for this are “family medical issues.”
“I am so sorry to inform the Tacoma ticket holders that the two shows October 17 and October 18 (tomorrow and Wednesday) will be postponed,” the singer wrote, adding that LiveNation is working on rescheduling the shows. “Family medical issues require our immediate attention. I send everyone my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this has caused. I am sending nothing but love and health to all.”

Pink‘s Summer Carnival tour was scheduled to make two stops at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena this weekend as well, but the two stops were postponed too. The reason is because the singer suffers from a respiratory infection that left her unable to perform.
“I am deeply sorry to share that I have a respiratory infection and my doctor has advised that I am unable to perform at the Vancouver shows on Friday and Saturday,” Pink wrote in a statement. “Live Nation is working on new dates to reschedule the shows. I am very much looking forward to performing in Vancouver and putting on an incredible show for everyone. In the meantime, I wish everyone good health and am sending lots of love.”
This makes a third cancellation in a row. At the end of September, the 44-year-old axed a show at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas due to a “bad sinus infection.”
So far, the Lady Marmalade chart-topper’s tour has seen a number of odd gestures. A fan was seen throwing his mother’s ashes on the stage, and another fan handed her a giant wheel of cheese.
We hope Pink would be able to overcome any medical issues she’s been experiencing recently.

A man’s man and an acting icon, Tom Selleck is one of our favorite Hollywood names. Ever since he took the role of Thomas Magnum in Magnum P.I he ensured his place in the film industry.
He started his career as a model who stole women’s hearts and signed for Twentieth Century Fox. This collaboration, however, only lasted until he was drafted to fight in the Vietnam’s war. When he recalls this period of his life, he says, “I am a veteran, I’m proud of it. I was a sergeant in the U.S. Army infantry, National Guard, Vietnam era. We’re all brothers and sisters in that sense.”
After the war ended, he started filming Magnum P.I and found himself into the spotlight once again.
Tom’s childhood was a happy one. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, but grew up in San Fernando Valley, California. His parents were strict but always very supportive of their four children. Tom’s father once told him how “a man is only as good as his word,” and that’s something Tom lived by all his life.
Tom’s acting career only went upwards in the years to come, and after eight seasons of playing detective Magnum, he received numerous awards, among which a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Series Drama in 1985. He was also nominated for an Emmy several years in a row.
“The luckiest thing that happened was that I didn’t get a real job until I was 35,” Tom explained.
“When I was 25, I looked 35 but sounded 15. There are a lot of very good actors who make it as younger leading men but don’t graduate — because the audience won’t accept them as grown up.”
Magnum P.I. came at the time when he was almost ready to give up chasing a career as an actor. “I think if Magnum hadn’t worked out, I’d never have worked again in this business,” he shared in an interview with Closer Weekly.
Back in 1971, Tom married model Jacqueline Ray and adopted her son while the two were still married. Their union didn’t last long and Tom blamed his career for the break-up. So when he married his second wive, dancer Jillie Mack, he promised himself he’d never put acting before his family ever again. And he kept the promise. After his daughter Hannah Margaret was born, he quit Magnum and devoted his time to his baby and his wife.
Ever since 2010, Selleck has been a co-star in the television series Blue Bloods where he plays Frank Reagan, the commissioner of the New York City Police Department. The show has been renewed for its 13th season.
Over the course of his career of many years, Selleck has done most of the stunts himself, but as it turns out, this decision has taken its toll and his body isn’t the way it was.
“My back’s kind of messed up,” Selleck shared.
“When you do stunts in movies—I do a lot of them—you’re taking a risk, but you’re also sitting around a lot. So you might do a fight scene, and then you sit in your chair, and it’s not like you have a personal trainer saying, ‘Okay, we’re ready to go, but Tom needs ten minutes of stretching and warm-up.’”
“And I think the price,” he added, “I see it with peers, I talk to them sometimes. You just see the price of all those stunts. They weren’t that hard, but I think it’s the stop-and-go of all that stuff.”
This awesome actor is an awesome human being too. He never considered himself superior over the ordinary people and was always there to offer a helping hand. Being concerned for what the young generations are turning into, he felt the urge to step in and be there for them. Tom founded the non-profit organization Character Counts! Speaking to New York Daily News, he said, “I’ve tried very hard to conduct myself in an ethical way because that’s important to my stability now.”
“I work with exceptional kids,” Tom said, “gang kids, deprived kids, enriched kids, and they all have an astounding sense of entitlement.” Time for Tom to change all that!
Getty Images
Tom is a great fan of nature and outdoors.
The Selleck family owns a 65-acre ranch in California. That’s where Hannah was brought up. She was surrounded by nature and horses since early age and learned how to love and appreciate that kind of life herself. Which is truly amazing.
As for Tom, even at the age of 78, he still isn’t ready to quit his job as an actor and philanthropist. When he isn’t busy being spokesman for the National Fatherhood Initiative and doing his role at the Skin Cancer Foundation, as well as that at the Los Angeles Mission, which helps the homeless, he’s spending his days with his family at their 30 acre avocado farm.
The actor keeps in shape by working on his ranch in Ventura, California. He’s also very passionate about horses, love he has passed down to his daughter.
Selleck has been married to wife Jillie Mack for 35 years. What makes their union one of the strongest in Hollywood is that he always puts his family first.
Speaking to People, Selleck said in 2012, “I quit Magnum to have a family.
“It took a long time to get off the train, but I try very hard to have balance, and this ranch has helped me do that.”
“We both thought it was the best environment for Hannah to grow up,” his wife added.
The famous actor revealed he is writing a book in an interview with TV Insider from last year.
“I’m halfway done. It’s about my 50 years in show business. The tentative title is, Don’t Know Where I’m Going, But There’s No Use Being Late. I doubt if I’ll change it. That’s the story of an actor’s life. You finish your job, a show or a movie, and you’re unemployed. It’s fun. I hope the book is kind of funny because I don’t take myself that seriously. A sense of humor is almost essential for a long career as is a sense of humor in your work,” he said.
One thing that makes Tom special is his mustache. He, however, feels like he ‘got stuck’ with that looks. “After Magnum, I think I went, ‘Oh my gosh!’ I’m going to live with mustache questions for the rest of my life,” he once said.
“Most of the time I got hired they said the mustache is okay, but you gotta shave it off for the job. I was born without it and I’m prepared to work without it.”
Tom once joked that he might have gotten the Blue Bloods job only because of the facial hair.
“Well, it meant a job on Blue Bloods,” he said. “The director said maybe you can play this guy without a mustache. I said, ‘Sure, I was born that way.’”
With mustaches or not, Tom Selleck looks stunning and really looks like he defies age.
Mr. Selleck really is one-of-a-kind.

Beloved Three’s Company star Suzanne Somers left the world following decades long cancer battle.
The show turned her into a household named loved by millions, and fans enjoyed every episode of it, but behind the camera things weren’t the greatest between some of the members of the cast. The relationship between Suzanne and fellow co-star Joyce DeWitt was a rocky one and the two turned into enemies. Sadly, they didn’t manage to make things right for a very long time.
Eventually, they reunited, but it took them years to do so. Before her passing, Suzanne opened up about her relationship with Joyce.
Suzanne Somers was born Suzanne Marie Mahoney on October 16, 1946, in San Bruno, California.
During her childhood, she was abused by her father. The actress once revealed that he called her “stupid” and “worthless.”
“It’s not easy growing up with an alcoholic,” she said.
Sadly, the abuse lasted for quite some time until Suzanne decided she couldn’t put up with it any longer.
“We all have moments where your life can fall apart, or you can use it like judo — using forward energy to win, making the negative work for you,” she said.
Years later, her father asked for her forgiveness and she said that having to endure what she did only made her a stronger person.

Her life took a different turn when she started college, Lone Mountain College, which today is the University of San Francisco. During that time, she was forced to drop out of university because she learned she was pregnant.
Suzanne and the father of her child married and welcomed son Bruce Jr.
At one point, they almost lost Bruce Jr. in a car crash. When he was taken to counseling in order to be able to overcome the nightmares which came with the accident, the therapist understood that Suzanne was in need of therapy too.
“‘He’s fine. You need to stay.’ I said, ‘Why?’” Somers recalled the therapist saying after one year of counseling for her son. “That’s when she said, ‘You’re a walking apology. I’ve never met somebody with such low self-esteem.’”
“I had the craziest, most violent, most unbelievable father,” she said. “I had to do this musical because how do you start out in a closet and end up with the life I have today?”

According to her husband, the production fired her in order to send a warning to the rest of the women who were part of the industry.
“When I got fired, I thought, ‘I should never have asked. Why did I ask? Why did I think I could get paid what men are being paid? Who did I think I was?”‘ she recalled in 2015.
“Rather than thinking, ‘Hey, c’mon. I have the highest demographics of any woman on television. I’m on the No. 1 show. I’m doing the heavy lifting, too,’ I went right into low self-esteem. I hid in my house for a year in absolute grief.”
This made things hard for Suzanne because she had a hard time landing a role. “Here I was on the number one show, and I couldn’t even get an interview because I was considered trouble,” she told CNBC.
Besides being fired, Suzanne needed to finish the fifth season of Three’s Company but was not allowed to talk to anyone on set.
Eventually, Somers’ character of Chrissy was replaced, first by Chrissy’s cousin Cindy Snow, played by Jenilee Harrison, and then by nurse Terri Alden, played by Priscilla Barnes, from 1981 until the show’s end in 1984.
“They painted me as she’s trying to ruin the show,” Suzanne said in 2020. “So, I never talked to anybody on that show ever again. Ever again.”
“We had very different approaches to our careers,” Joyce said of the relationship between her and Suzanne following the show. “We had very different needs. I did not have a child that I was supporting on my own. I didn’t have a business head, so I didn’t understand someone who did.”
The two co-stars reunited after 30 long years on Suzanne’s talk show Breaking Through and got to discuss their different paths in life. “I have relentlessly said that it is my opinion that the only reason Three’s Company is worth remembering is that it created an opportunity for all of us to laugh together, to celebrate joy. It’s a profound gift,” Joyce said on the show.
“You went up against ruthlessness, and it came down,” Joyce said. “What you’ve gone on to do is immeasurable.”
“In a group of serious actors, I probably pissed you all off,” Suzanne concluded.

Following Suzanne’s passing, Joyce DeWitt expressed her grief and paid tribute to her friend.
“My heart goes out to Suzanne’s family,” she told People. “They are a very close family — deeply connected and caring one to the other. I can only imagine how difficult this time is for all of them.”
She added, “I’m sure Suzanne was greeted by Angels into the loving wisdom waiting for all of us on the other side, and I hope that will assist her family’s hearts in healing as they travel through this difficult time.”

Attaching a star on a house or a barn is part of the American tradition we all love, but these stars are far beyond pretty decorations.
For the farmers, the stars represent something more meaningful than items that catch the eye.
In fact, stars sighted above the door at the top of a barn have their roots steeped in historical significance and date back over a century.
These bold stars, that can be made out of wood or metal, are also known as Pennsylvania stars or primitive stars as they can be traced back to at least 1820s Pennsylvania. They became even more popular after the American Civil War, and nowadays, they are usually associated with prosperity and good fortune.
Different colors of the stars represent different things and have their own meaning and significance.

Although their practical significance have diminished over the years, the tradition continues as a symbol of culture and heritage.
Brown stars stand for friendship and strength, while white stars tell of purity and energy. If you see a violet star, meanwhile, it means holiness. The blue or black color are supposed to provide protection for the farm whose barn the star beautifies.
The green stars are symbols of growth and fertility for the crops growing on the farm, while bright yellow stars speak of love of man and the sun.
German-American farmers believed that positioning the stars at the very top of barns to ward would keep them safe from evil spirits and would help increase the chances of a good harvest.

Sometimes, instead of regular stars, people place ‘hex stars’ that began appearing in the 1950s.
According to the Kuztown Folk Festival, it was a man by the name of Milton Hill who started the transition from barn star to hex star in 1952.
During the late 1950s, a Pennsylvania Dutch folk painter named Johnny Ott began attaching superstitious meanings to his signs because he discovered that they sold better that way. It wasn’t long before these hex signs found their way to different countries of the world.

Luckily, the girls have since been found, but the bizarre circumstances around their disappearance are still being investigated.
Before vanishing, the sisters were spotted at a Columbus Burger King with a woman named Mikaela Harrell. According to the New York Post, this woman’s relationship with the girls remains unknown.
Following their abduction, an Amber Alert was issued by the local authorities. Along with the description of the girls, they also released a description of the vehicle Harrell was driving, a 2011 Honda CRV SUV that was a blue/gray color.
However, authorities were alerted that the girls were later transferred into another vehicle, a Gold 2004 Lexus. Luckily, the licence plate numbers were also included in the alert.
By the next morning, Monday October 16, the girls were found safe and sound, as per a statement from the Columbus Police Department. “As of Monday, October 16, 2023, at approximately 11:30 am, both children have been located in the area of South Georgia and are safe,” the statement read. “The investigation is ongoing, and charges could be forthcoming for those involved in the abduction.”
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) confirmed that Harrell, who is a person of interest, had a criminal record relating to previous drug offences. She had been convicted of possession of methamphetamine and was on parole from August 2007 to August 2016.
However, she’s not the only person who is believed to be involved in the girls’ abduction.
The second person of interest is the sisters’ mother, Kaila Spires.
The investigation is ongoing.
We are glad the girls weren’t injured and are now safe.

Education is not about learning facts, but about training the mind to think. Sadly, our education system sometimes fails to let students think outside the box or nurture their creativity.
The following story is just a joke that tends to make you laugh, but at the same time, it speaks a lot about what education should be all about, and that’s curiosity, creativity, and occasional laughter.
A first grader named Johnny wasn’t interested in the lesson so his teacher asked him what the problem was.
The boy replied: “I’m too smart for first grade. My sister, who is in third grade, is less intelligent than me. I think I’m in the wrong class.”
The teacher then took Johnny to the principal’s office.
While Johnny waited in the hallway outside, the teacher informed the principal of the situation.
“The boy would take a test,” the headmaster informed the instructor, “and if he didn’t do well, he would be sent back to first grade to learn appropriate behavior.”
Continue…
Johnny decided to take part in the test after being brought in and informed of its specifications.
“What is 3 + 3?” you ask the student.
Johnny: “6”
The teacher asked again, “How much is 6 x 6?”
Johnny: “36”
The student was tested on everything the principal thought a third-grader should know.
After glancing at the teacher, the principal declared, “I think Johnny can go to third grade.”
“Can I ask him a few questions?” the teacher asked.
“What does a cow have four of and I only have two?”
After a short pause, Johnny said, “Legs.”
“What do you have in your pants and I don’t?” continued the teacher.
The teacher’s eyes widened noticeably, but Johnny replied, “Pockets”.
“What does a dog do when a person steps on it?” continued the lecturer.
Johnny: “Pants”
“What has the letters F and K in it and means great excitement,” asked the teacher.
Johnny: “Fire truck.”
“Put Johnny in fifth grade,” the principal told the instructor, “I missed the last four questions myself.”

Not many people are lucky enough to find their soulmate, that one person who makes their life complete, but those who do go above and beyond to never let go of their loved one.
When a woman named Shannon was to marry her husband Rick, she was over the moon.
The couple invited over 130 guests and everything was planned thoroughly, but what
the groom didn’t know was that his wife-to-be had a surprise for him that he would remember for the rest of his life.
Namely, Shannon secretly invited students from a local music school to attend the ceremony.
As she walked to the aisle, one of the students, a young boy, stood up and started singing the classic song Chapel of Love.
All of a sudden, the rest of the students started joining him in one by one. Their voices harmonized beautifully and filled the hearts of the guests with pleasant feelings. There was no dry eye.
Rick was visibly moved by the unexpected musical interlude. He couldn’t believe his wife did something so touching and special.
The video of the flashmob was later shared on the social media.
Although this happened some years ago, it reappears on the Internet every now and then and we believed it is worth sharing with you.
You can take a look at it below.

One of the best things about nature is that it’s always changing. Each season brings its distinctive colors, and with that comes joy and feelings of excitement. From pinkish blossoms to yellow leaves, nature is breathtaking all-year-round.
However, there are trees out there whose trunks are white, and that’s not because of the seasons, but because people paint them, and now you’ll learn why.
One of the reasons is because the white color protects the bark from sunscald, which is basically the plant version of sunburns, a condition that causes damage to the cambium layers and leads to dehydration. The white color acts like sunblock and prevents cracking.
In case the bark splits, it becomes more vulnerable to insects, fungus, and other diseases.
This painting is usually done during the winter when fluctuating temperatures from chilly nights to sunny days can damage the bark.
“This type of painting is typically done on thin-barked residential trees or orchards,” says Christopher Evans, extension forestry and research specialist at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. “Painting the trunks white is said to moderate the daytime heating of the bark and lessen the chances of sunscald injury.”
Shutterstock
If damaged from sudden thaws and freezes, trees, especially those bearing fruit, are left in a vulnerable state. In cases of severe injury, the damage can be fatal and by applying heavy latex paint (or a specially designed formula) to a tree trunk can help protect trees from harsh winter weather.
Other reasons are that painter tree trunks are more visible, especially when they are planted near the road. This may prevent any accidents as drivers are aware there are trees out there.
“Basically, it marks the tree in an inconspicuous way,” Ken Fisher, assistant forester for the Boulder Parks and Recreation Department, said. “A lot of people don’t even notice it, but it alerts our contractor that this is the tree we’re talking about. We’ve been using paint dots for 25 years or so now, so some trees have several paint dots on them.”
Forest trees also get paint to indicate which of them is hazardous or safe, or simply mark private property.
“In some places, trees with nests of rare or endangered species are marked,” Evans says. “That is the case with the federally endangered red-cockaded woodpecker in the Southern United States. Their tree nests are generally marked with a white paint ring.
“Basically, there aren’t any hard and fast standardizations for the use of marking paint in forestry.
“That can lead to confusion when trying to generalize the meaning of different symbols and colors.”
For example, an X often means the tree should be cut, and numbers show a tally before a harvest.
This is how to paint the trees properly.
Never use an oil-based paint, which will not allow the tree to respirate. It’s best to use water-based latex paint diluted to the ratio of one-gallon latex with four or five quarts of water. Look for paint with an organic base to avoid additives that could damage the plants.
You can apply the color using a paintbrush. If you don’t like to use white color, choose what suits you best, but avoid dark shades.
It’s enough to paint the trunks only once, but in case you reside in an area with extreme weather conditions, you may reaplly paint once a year.

“You never know what someone is going through. Be kind. Always!”
Even the tiniest act of kindness can sometimes go a long way, and the following story, which tugs at our heartstrings, is the perfect proof of that.
A woman named Lindsey Sheely of West Warwick, Rhode Island, ordered a pizza one night. As she got out of the house to pick up her order, her two-year-old son Cohen rushed after her and gave the delivery man a hug. The little one simply stretched his arms towards the man, and the man was happy to give Cohen a hug back.
As this heartwarming scene was caught by a camera built into Lindsey’s doorbell, she decided to share it on her social media in order to spread some positivity. What she didn’t know, however, was that her son’s act meant the world to the delivery man.
As her video got shared many times, she received a message by a man named Ryan Catterson who said to be the delivery man her child hugged. He asked for a permission to share her video. She was of course glad he wanted to do that, but as she went through his profile, she realized that he lost his 16-year-old daughter Alyssa the week earlier.
“After losing my daughter the previous week, it hit me because it felt like she was there. It really meant a lot to me,” Ryan told WLNE.
Realizing the impact of her son’s hug on Ryan, Lindsay called it ‘a little blessing from God.’
“I believe in divine intervention and know that Ryan was the one who delivered our pizza for a reason,” she said.
That hug came at the right time and was exactly what this grieving father needed.
“It was almost as if the universe or my daughter had sent it to me,” he told NBC 10 News.
Lindsay says, “You never know what people are going through. This is a good example of that,” and we can’t agree more.

Three’s Company actress Suzanne Somers dies aged 76, a day before her 77th birthday, after decades-long cancer battle.
She was best known for her portrayal of Chrissy Snow on Three’s Company.
The news of her passing has been shared by her publicist R Couri Hay.
The statement he released said, “Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th.

It was in July of this year that the actress and businesswoman informed her fans that her cancer had returned.
“As you know, I had breast cancer two decades ago, and every now and then it pops up again, and I continue to bat it down.
“I have used the best alternative and conventional treatments to combat it. This is not new territory for me. I know how to put on my battle gear and I’m a fighter.”
She also praised her husband, Alan Hamel, who she said had been by her side “every step of the way”.
“I can’t even explain how much he has done for me. If it’s even possible, we are even closer than ever”, she added. “My incredible family has been so supportive.”
Other roles she’s known for include Sheriff Hildy Granger in She’s the Sheriff, Carol Foster Lambert on Step by Step, and more.

Mary Lou Retton, a celebrated former Olympic gymnast, is “fighting for her life” in intensive care as she struggles with a rare form of pneumonia, reports claim.
According to a statement released by her family, 55-year-old Retton “is not able to breathe on her own.”
“My amazing mom, Mary Lou, has a very rare form of pneumonia and is fighting for her life. She is not able to breathe on her own,” her daughter McKenna Kelley wrote.
“She’s been in the ICU for over a week now. Out of respect for her and her privacy, I will not disclose all details. However, I will disclose that she is not insured.
“We ask that if you could help in any way, that 1) you PRAY! and 2) if you could help us with finances for the hospital bill.
“ANYTHING, absolutely anything, would be so helpful for my family and my mom. Thank y’all so very much!”
Retton became a household name after she won the individual all-around gold medal at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, becoming one of the most famous athletes to have ever competed in the sport.
As result of her achievements, she appeared on numerous movies and TV shows during the 1980s and 1990s. In 1984, Sports Illustrated honored her as Sportsperson of the Year.
In an attempt to help the family with the medical bills, Retton’s daughter started a GoFundMe. Just how much admiration and respect people have for Retton is the fact that over 8,000 people made donation in a short period of time.
The initial goal was to raise $50,000, but so far the amount stands at a staggering $435,000.
People not only from the States but from other countries from the world have been sending their wishes for a speedy recovery.
Following her retirement from gymnastics, Retton became a motivational speaker. She also served on the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports under former President George W. Bush.
Latest update confirms that Retton’s condition is improving. “Mom’s progress is truly remarkable! Prayers have been felt and have been answered. Although she remains in the ICU, her path to recovery is steadily unfolding. Her fighting spirit is truly shining! Her breathing is becoming stronger, and her reliance on machines is diminishing,” her daughter wrote.
We hope Mary Lou Retton will recover completely in the days to come.

Over the course of his long and very successful career, late actor David McCallum played a number of iconic characters.
With his parents being professional musicians, his dad, David Sr., worked as an orchestral violinist for the London Philharmonic Orchestra, his mother, Dorothy, as a cellist, everyone assumed McCallum would choose the same career path. Well, it’s not that he didn’t, because besides being a famous name in the film industry, he’s also a musician who released four albums with Capitol Records during the mid 60’s.
Speaking of his love for music, McCallum once said, “I always knew that I could turn to music if I failed as an actor.”

Acting, however, became his passion the moment he stepped on stage for the first time.
“I played The Little Prince in Shakespeare’s King John, at one of those local things where people do skits and songs. Mine was the little prince having his eyes put out by this terrible man, and I acted it, evidently, very well, because I got a standing ovation. I wasn’t more than eight,” he recalled.
“And I said: ‘Hey, hey, hey, this is kinda cool!’ I don’t know if I consciously thought it, but I had found the place I wanted to be: on a stage, with the lights and make-up and the people. I’m exactly the same to this day; the feeling has never left.”
Initially, he attended the Royal Academy of Music in London, England, but left it for the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
The Scottish born actor eventually left his home country in order to pursue an acting career in Hollywood. He had his breakthrough with the series The Man From U.N.C.L.E where he played secret agent Illya Kuryakin. For his incredible performance, he was nominated for two Emmy Awards.

His most recent role was that of quirky Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard in the hit series NCIS in which he played alongside Mark Harmon and Cote de Pablo.
Sadly, McCallum passed away on September 25, 2023.
“David was a gifted actor and author, and beloved by many around the world,” the NCIS tribute said.

McCallum once referred to NCIS as to his “Rock of Gibraltar,” mainly because of his working relationship with Mark Harmon. That feeling was mutual, to say the least.
“I’ll always remember David McCallum,” Harmon said in 2019. “And I thought that from day one here, because I thought how fortunate this entire cast, whoever it is, is lucky enough to work with him and watch his work ethic every day. And take from his experience, what he’s had in this industry, for a number of years, in different shows.”

Harmon played practical jokes on everyone on set, but not on McCallum. Why? Because he didn’t have the nerve to do so.
In early 2016, David McCallum set up an AMA (Ask Me Anything) thread on the popular social media platform Reddit. Among the rest, they asked plenty of question about the cast of NCIS.
One person wanted to know if Harmon ever played a prank on McCallum, to what the actor answered: “Mark Harmon knows I am not the type to be toyed with.”
Harmon appeared in his last episode as Leroy Jethro Gibbs on Monday, October 9, 2022. He left the show after starring in 435 episodes – 18 less than David McCallum.
The two were not only co-stars but great friends as well.

Lemons are the most popular citrus fruits. They grow on trees and are in fact a hybrid of the original citron and lime.
Although consuming the fruit by itself isn’t the nicest way of enjoying its benefits because of its distinctive bitter and sour flavor, it goes well with cakes, juices, and as a refreshing lemonade.
A great source of vitamin C and fiber, lemons contain many plant compounds, minerals, and essential oils.
The good thing is that if you are a fan of lemons, you can now grow a lemon tree yourself. All you need to have is a single lemon seed.
We provide you with a step-by-step instruction on how to grow a lemon tree from seed.
1. Start with organic lemons.
The first step is purchasing an organic lemon because non-organic lemons have non-germinating seeds that don’t sprout. Simply choose a ripe lemon and extract its seeds.
2. Prepare potting soil
Go for a well-draining soil mix. A mixture of vermiculite, perlite, peat, and organic fertilizer provides adequate drainage and essential nutrients. Simply pour the soil into a bucket and water it until damp.
3. Chose the right pot
It’s essential that you get a pot large enough for your lemon tree to grow the way it’s supposed to. If you plant a single seed, then choose a pot that is about four inches wide and six inches deep, and make sure it has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.
4. Prepare the seeds
In order to have your seeds ready for planting remove the slimy coating by gently washing them with water. Choose the plum-looking seeds and soak them in warm water overnight.
5. Plant the seeds
Fill the pot with the soil and make sure you leave about an inch of space from the rim. Next, create a 1/2-inch deep hole using your finger and place the seed inside the hole with the pointy tip pointing downward and the rounded part facing upward. Then cover the seed with soil.
6. Cover the pot
Cover the pot with a plastic wrap that is secured with a rubber band and poke small holes on it to let the air circulate.
7. Provide adequate warmth
The ideal temperature range for lemon seed germination is between 68°F and 82.4°F so make sure you place the pot beside a window or other warm location. Just make sure to avoid direct sunglight.
8. Water the soil
Make sure the soil is moist. Although the plastic wrap will do its job of helping retain moisture, if you notice the soil is dry then remove the plastic wrap, water it, and then place the wrap back.
9. Care for the seedlings
When you spot the seedlings, take the plastic wrap off and place the pot to a sunny location. The soil should be moist but not soggy. The seedlings should be exposed to sunlight at least eight hours a day. If that’s not possible, add some supplements.
10. Transplanting
Once the seedlings develop leaves and tails that are around 3.15 inches long, place them into another pot by creating a shallow hole in damp, well-drained soil. Pat the soil around the seedling to secure it.
11. Continued care
As the lemon tree grows bigger, you will need to transfer it to a larger pot, and later, do the same as it grows even bigger.
Once the tree starts to grow fruits, you will understand that this experience has been a rewarding one. Just the though of being able to pick fresh lemons whenever we feel like having one brings a sense of excitement.

Optical illusions exist to trick our mind into believing that we see something that doesn’t really exist or into lacking to see the obvious.
Either way, they are fun and trigger discussions. They also make us think deeply about their meaning and about what they truly represent.
The following optical illusion can help you determine what kind of lover you are based on what figure you notice first.
Being aware of this fact is sometimes crucial in building a relationship with someone.
Every bonding with the person we love is mostly grounded on communication and mutual understanding. The feelings involved are of course a crucial part of the decision to be with someone or not.
The following test will also reveal your personal method of showing your love.
This knowledge can deepen the romantic involvement with your other half and help you understand and appreciate your partner even more.
Now take a look at the image and note the first thing you notice.
These are the explanations based on your answer:
The Face:
If the face is the first thing you notice, it shows that you are determined and have your goals straight in life. You always have a plan about your next move that you are ready to fulfill with unshakable confidence. You have a reputation that you are often correct and you are born to be a leader.
As a lover, you believe that finding the time to spend together with the person you love is crucial for a successful relationship. Having someone find the time for you besides their hectic schedule is a valuable love expression. But you are wiling to do the same and make your loved one a priority.
The Trees:
You are likely someone who experienced emotional heartbreak in the past and when there comes the time for a new love, you carry the baggage from your previous love experience. You are a sensitive individual and what doesn’t leave a mark on someone else can entirely take up your mind for a long time. However, besides the scars, you don’t lose hope.
As a lover, you believe that a relationship works best if you open up. When you share your pain and deepest fears with the person you are with, you experience something deep and meaningful. To you, even a shred of emotional availability is immensely appreciated.
The Wolf:
You are likely defined as someone passionate and someone who has no lack of confidence when it comes to initiating your love desires. You are also an initiator of a great party and now how to make people feel comfortable around you. Always at the center of attention with your wit.
Your love language is physical touch. You are passionate and the physical acts of intimate love-making mean much more than words to you. The reason for this is because you have learned much more from actions than you ever did from words. You show your love to your partner through sweet and tiny physical gestures. Playing rough occasionally is your thing, but it is the gentle cuddling and nuzzling that let your soft side shine.
The Moon:
You are a dreamer who loves dancing and writing, as well as appreciating other people’s expression of these forms of art. You find inspiration in the world’s creative and spiritual side.
You express your love through art. As a lover, all of your creative work has something from your loved one tied into it. If you write a poem, you consider it an act of dedication, while a painting incorporates elements of the way your partner looks like, such as the color of their hair or eyes. Before you express your love, you need to be sure it’s the right thing.
The House:
What you seek in a relationship is the security you feel at home. You are someone who finds happiness in being mostly at home with the one you love. A perfect scene for you is sitting in front of a fire, wrapped in a blanket and feeling the coziness of your place.
You show your love by providing for the person you are with. When they are hungry, you are happy to go to the kitchen and prepare a delicious meal for them. This small act is your secret and personal method of telling the person exactly how much you adore them and how much they mean to you.
