You never know when the tragedy will hits your family. One moment you enjoy the beauty of life, and the next you struggle with the a deadly threat. Those moments are difficult, and knowing that there is nothing you can do is even more painful.
This is what exactly happened to Moore-Williams family and that shook them like nothing else by then.
Lee and Francesa’s love resulted with giving birth to two beautiful kids, Bella and her brother Bobby. Until Bella turned 14 months, everything was perfect and lovely. But, then, something terrible happened. Bella was diagnosed with Mitochondrial disease.
The disease devastated the family and made the kid suffer a lot. She started losing hair, she got chest infection and Bella even started losing her abilities to move. All of these things added to the doctor’s announcement that they do not expect her to survive crushed the family. Francesa recalls:
“We were told three times that it’s not looking like she was going to survive, so every day we were sat at her bedside praying.”
After several unsuccessful attempts to take Bella off the ventilators, the doctors gave up. Francesa adds that those moments were “very traumatic and we had the whole family by our sides”.
As the end was approaching, their saying goodbye to the little angel was inevitable.
The family gathered around the young patient and took, what was supposed to be, their last photo with Bella. Soon afterwards the ventilator was switched off, they kissed the girl and were left in tears.
However, a miracle happened in the next 30 minutes. Bella started moving and crying.
Bella started showing signs of life and the hopes were back on. Doctors examined the girls once again, now without her being attached to the ventilator, and they stated that the girl will indeed survive.
That was the best piece of news they got in their lives.
Francea says:
’30 minutes later her oxygen levels were back up to 100 per cent and the traumatised parents were later told Bella would survive.’
Bella’s recovery is still ongoing. However, the life-threatening conditions are long gone. With the help of the pills, she may continue enjoying her life with her lovely family.
Bella is a fighter and she proved that love can do miracles. Her parents’ last kiss provoked some higher power that gave her life back. We hope for the best!
“She’s about eight months behind where she should be but doctors are confident she will pick up quite quickly. She’s at nursery and to look at her you wouldn’t think she’s been through what she has” – says Francesa.
Being a parent means undertaking responsibilities and putting actions into work, whenever there is need of them. You always have to be prepared to find your way out of an unpleasant situation that you kid, especially baby, might put you in.
When you are home you can easily solve the issues concerning your kids. However, when you travel and you have to move around the globe, even the minor problems can be embarrassing or even quite serious. All of these things were taken into consideration by a young mother that traveled from Korea to the United States.
This story would not have been known to us if Dave Corona did not share the story and the images on Facebook. The normal regular flight from Korea to the States turned out to be quite uncommon and very surprising.
The flight from Korea to the USA lasts 10 hours, which is very long for a baby. Therefore, the mother came up with some unique ideas of settling her fears that the baby will disturb all the passengers in the plane. All passengers on the plane got, believe it or not, a bag full of candies and a very interesting note.
The note says:
This impressed and pleasantly surprised all the passengers. They marvelled at the mother’s attention to details and care for other people’s comfort. Buying all those candies, printing and cutting all those notes is a time-consuming task, but the mother endured all of that just for the baby and passengers’ well being. Incredible!
Since Dave was a cameraman, he shot some photos and shared the story on-line. This story amazed thousands of people. Even though the baby was calm and did not cry during the flight, the gifts and the note were still recognized and appreciated by all passengers. Their surprise was obvious.
There are not many people like this mother in the world. She deserves all words of compliments and admiration. Well done!
Military career requires a lot of dedication and sacrifice. It is not unusual for the military personnel to spend substantial amount of time on military base or some other defence camp. This automatically means spending less and less time with the family and the dearest ones. This affects the personal lives, and families have been experiencing difficult times dealing with such a situation. Enduring those difficult moments is a crucial for keeping the family together.
Young Haley from Missouri is aware of all of these things. Her father, a soldier, has not been home for some time due to his professional engagements. However, when he comes back home, he does not show up in front of her daughter as well all do. He prepares a touching surprise.
While Haley is playing her instrument during the school’s Veteran Day’s show, she is asked to drop the instrument and step forward. Unaware of what is happening, she obeys the requests. She stands up and she starts reading the paper she got from the organizers. At the beginning she thinks it is just another paper prepared for the Veteran’s Day, but she soon finds out it’s her father she is reading about. That astonishes her. By the time she finishes the paper, she sees her father in front of her. Haley cannot believe what she sees.
The emotional meeting in these unusual circumstances is just adorable. The father-daughter hugging and overflow of emotions warmed millions of people’s hearts. Even though the surprise made her cry in front of the camera, she does not regret it, and she is more than happy to see her father in person. A moment to remember for the rest of her life!

Living separated from your family and from your friends is undoubtedly very difficult. Not being able to hug or kiss your loved ones while being miles apart is very painful and often requires a lot of strength to overcome the emotions.
There are many people who live or work in areas far from the birthplace where their closest family members reside. Whether the reason for staying separated is a work or study, the consequences are the same – we all feel homesick. Quite usually, being in a such situation does not mean that we struggle more with the professional tasks, but with the emotions that overtake us. This is equally difficult for those that go and for those that stay at home.

He came up with quite interesting thing. They blindfold the youngest member of the family, while the older brother stands just behind him. To add a bit more suspense to the moment, they give him his brother’s hat in his hand and they ask him to guess what the object is. Very soon the boy guesses, but he still has no clue why such an object is given to him. Not until he sees his brother next to him.

The Emerald Belles took part in the Showmakers of America Dance Competition, and they did a wonderful job. Learning from experience and past competitions, our expectations for the dance team is nothing less than high. Once again the team deserved every single cheer from the crowd.
Showing up in blue tights, the ladies immediately started forming the initial position. The triangular formation quickly transforms into their well-planned movements and postures. The extremely well planned movements and synchronisation with the music was just mesmerizing. Even the toughest haters could not find any mistake or missed beat. They were simply wonderful.
Dances that include high kicks are not an easy act to perform. These types of performances require speed, high level of concentration, extremely good team work and excellent synchronisation.
Skipping one move or just slight alteration of a well planned position can destroy the whole act. People usually enjoy watching these types of dances because of the energy the team spreads across the crowd. You can feel the energy wave just by watching the show.

To do a bad thing, maliciously violent act, is a very easy task. All you have to do is harm someone you prefer. However, to do a good thing, a thing that will dramatically change other people’s lives takes a lot of courage and desire. You have to believe in it in order to succeed.
Kelly Lively is an excellent example of such good caring person. This well-mannered woman from Indiana did not hesitate doing a lot of sacrifices just to provide love and support to another human being.
Kelly’s devotion to good-doing has been seen through a concrete example. The heart-melting story of Kelly and Marcus puts everyone on the verge of tears. There are very good reasons for that.
Kelly is a nurse and she sees people’s suffering on a daily basis. However, one child just touched her so deeply that it changed the lives of both of them. While volunteering for different NGOs as a nurse, she was in a contact with a lot of patients and social workers. One day, while doing her job, she met a social worker talking about a boy, 13 months old baby, who was abandoned by his drug-addicted mother. Kelly also found out that the boy was not only exposed to dangerous drugs, but also he was born prematurely, which gave him some 30% chance of survival. That just broke Kelly’s heart.
In addition to the terrible circumstances he was born in, the boy was left to be institutionalized. In other words, no one liked to foster care him nor even formally adopt him. That was the turning point for Kelly – she decided to adopt Marcus.
In 2017, Kelly and her sister went to meet Marcus. Their photo posted on Facebook tells everything. Kelly was too glad to take Marcus home and Marcus’ smile, as told by Kelly, was the sign that her love and care were accepted. She also adds that she is thankful for God’s good will and making that happen. Kelly’s sister, Tammy, adds:
“He’s a little fighter…all he needed was a mommy to love him and a chance.”
Marcus’ road to recovery was long. He and his Mom Kelly spent a lot of sleepless nights, fought the problems he was facing with and gave everything just to normalize his health. Nowadays, the boy still has problems with his speech since he has got trach tube. However, all those problems are not obstacle to continue fighting and loving each other.
Kelly’s undertaking was even prised by the doctors themselves. They did not expect Marcus to survive, but they add that thanks to Kelly, ‘the Angel from Heaven’, Marcus lives a second life.
Kelly’s life wasn’t smooth as well. Besides the redheaded sweet boy, there are two more additional reasons for her decision of adopting the cutie. Her inability to carry a child made her life very difficult and hopeless. In addition to that, her loss of her both parents made her extremely lonely. All of these things made her think about the idea of fostering. Luckily, she met Marcus and the wish came true.
Regarding the difficult moments of her life, Kelly says:
“The same day that broke my heart when I lost my mom was the same day I met my joy. I know that God brought us together.”
Hopefully we will hear about other similar cases in the future. We believe there are a lot of people like Kelly. The world needs more caring and lovely people, people that are nor selfish and egoist.

We all know Barbra Streisand, I mean, who hasn’t heard of this extremely talented and prominent artist. Meet ‘Susan’ – one of the most hated and most egoistic materialist in the world. Her ridiculous story that appeared on Facebook disgusted millions of followers on this social network. The thing that she did during the day that supposed to be her best is not under the scope of any definition of normality. Everything started with ‘an honest confession’ and Susan’s intention of convincing the people that her view of the event that follows is the right one. She achieved the opposite effect. She informed the on-line friends that her wedding with her college sweetheart had been cancelled and they separated. However, that was not the thing that shocked the community.
Unaware of the absurdity of the text she was going to post, Susan continues writing to her group. The woman explains that she and her ex-husband have been together since college studies and she even adds that they have a child together.
The couple’s romance was planned to last longer and they started imagining their wedding. Susan and her husband started dreaming of a high-class wedding. The whole time they were together they were saving money for the wedding. However, expensive weddings cost a lot and they needed additional 45,000 dollars in order to be able to pay for the event. So, Susan did what she was best at – ruining things.
She asked all the guest that planned to come to the wedding to give them $1000 or $1500 as a wedding gift. She tried to explain that the money will be used to pay for the party, or in other words, to pay their own bill. Susan’s selfish way of seeing things can be seen from this extract of her announcement:
“I SPECIFICALLY, I mean SPECIFICALLY asked for cash gifts. How could we have OUR wedding that WE dream of without proper funding? We’d sacrificed so much and only asked each guest for around $1,500. My maid of honor (who shall not be named) pledged $5,000 along with her planning services. . .
Like, we made it CLEAR. If you couldn’t contribute, you weren’t invited to our exclusive wedding. It’s a once and a lifetime party.”
Since the number of people that gave money was few, she wasn’t able to pay the wedding bill. The long-expected happy day turned out to be a nightmare. She even opened a fund rising page, but that was a total failure as well.
Her reasonable husband told her to organize a smaller wedding in Las Vegas, and this is how she responded to that:
“He wanted those cheap, raggedy, filthy, w**re like Vegas weddings. Am I some Hooch piece of f—ing trash, a h**ker?”
“My ex left the room and didn’t apologize for his horrid suggestion.”

Initially, Doris’ team offers two sets of outfits based on Amanda’s vision and wishes. Once Amanda sees the 70’s metallic dress, she knows that she’s entered the store that will save her life. Nevertheless, they move around the store and other designs and accessories are shown to Amanda. The tours moves to the second floor and Amanda sees some more wonderful pieces. She can’t believe what’s really happening. Fortunately, the second floor is the place where she found the dress she fell in love with.
Once the dress is chosen, Amanda tries it on. She does not hesitate expressing her amazement and happiness. Feeling like a princess, Amanda is more than pleased to say that she solved her problem. But, unexpectedly, she sees another pretty silk dress. The second one is equally beautiful and provocative. Now Amanda faces another problem! Having two dresses that she likes, which one is the one that will serve the purpose?

Music is an inseparable part of everyone’s life. As for this amazingly talented pianist, we can’t say for sure whether she started listening to music while she was just a baby, but we do know her talent is out-of-this world.
When Diane decided to treat the random passersby with her piano skills, she left many wondering how is it even possible for someone so young to be such a professional. This young lady moves her tiny fingers over the keys so smoothly that it looks as though she isn’t even touching them. And the sound she produces resembles that of a piano master. People weren’t even sure if the girl was really playing the instrument or the pleasant sound was coming from a speaker.
She started off with “Hallo” and proceeded to “Rolling in The Deep” before she switched to “The Pirates of The Caribbean’s” main team.
Sweet Diane perfected her talent over the years of dedicated practice and genuine love and passion towards the instrument. She didn’t even hesitate, nor felt any stage fright before she started playing, because doing so comes to her in a natural way. This mini concert took place in front of a hospital, and it’s obvious that no matter how strangers felt before they heard Diane performing, they were now both touched and cheered.
Switching from one song to another, she lighted everyone’s mood. And as some would say the hospital isn’t really the place for a performance like this to take place, we say it really worked as a stress relief therapy not only for the patients and the passersby, but the nurses and the doctors who have so much on their plate, too.

Teenage years are that period of life when you have all the time to have fun, make lots of friends, be free, and try a bunch of exciting things for the first time. But, teenage years can also be hard for some. When you are not that cool person everyone greets at the school cafeteria and you have troubles making friends, you may get to despise those school days.
Lillian Skinner is one of those girls who’s not really outgoing and many times she feels like an outcast. That is why her being nominated for homecoming queen made her feel confused. But besides that, she felt deep down how this could be the chance for her to shine and break away. Did this mean she would finally be able to make people like her? Questions like this occupied this young lady.
Sadly, the happiness didn’t last long as Lillian soon discovered how her nomination was a way for some kids to prank her. The two girls who were really nominated were Anahi Alvarez and Naomi Martinez. When these two kindhearted girls learned of what those bullies did to their classmate they agreed that whoever gets the crown pass it to Lillian.
When the so much anticipated night rolled around, Ahani got the crown and was named a homecoming queen. As everyone in the crowd cheered, Ahani did the most amazing thing ever. She said thank you and asked Lillian to take the stage after which she offered her the crown. This action was a true inspiration for many. The girls were praised for their kind deed and their story was heard by many people, among which our favorite host Ellen. She invited the three girls onto her show and presented them with a sweet surprise.

There is nothing scarier for a parent than having their child missing. In this world full of lunatics who take advantage of young children, many moms and dads are concerned for the safety of their little ones. Unfortunately, many times, cases of missing children don’t end up with positive outcomes. Luckily, that wasn’t the case with Caroline and Leia Carrico, 5 and 8-year-old sisters from northern California who went missing in the woods on March 1.
The girls were found two days later, at around 10:30 a.m by the search and rescue teams involved in the process of locating the sisters, Humboldt County Sheriff William Honsal reported.
According to NBC, despite being cold and hungry, both Caroline and Leila were in a good physical shape.
“I’m pleased to report that you’re all witnessing a miracle today,” the sheriff said at a Sunday news conference.
“Caroline and Leia have been found safe and sound in southern Humboldt.”
The search teams managed to locate the sisters thanks to the rain boot tracks they left on the muddy road, as well as the granola bar wrappers they left behind. They were eventually found about 1.4 miles south from the place they were reported to be seen last.

It was really amazing how they managed to stay well and hydrated. Honsal said how they drank water from the plants and found a shelter under a patch of huckleberry bushes. Both sisters underwent wilderness survival training through their 4-H club which Honsal believed helped them stay safe and sound.
The older girl even gave her coat to her little sister to keep her warm and the two took care of each other during those scary and long two days.
After the teams heard noises, they called out for the girls who quickly responded. The rescuers followed the sound of their voices and that’s how they located them.
“They were safe and sound, still ambulatory, in good spirits, not injured,” the sheriff said.
The girls were reported missing on March 1 at around 3 p.m
“The two asked to go for a walk,” Honsal said. “The mother said, ‘No.’ And then, in the course of getting things ready and stuff, she noticed they were missing around 3 o’clock.”
She quickly went outside trying to find her daughters. She even asked form her neighbors to help her locate them, but in vain. Some three hours later, the mother reported the case to the police.
The moment the girls were brought home, everyone felt overwhelmed.
“When my two daughters Leia, age 8, and Caroline, aged 5, wandered off into the woods the whole world came to our aid,”
“With the help of the volunteer search and rescue, technical rescue, sheriffs office, local volunteers, multiple other agencies my girls were found after 44 hours.
“My girls were found cold, tired, but alive.”
“We have so many of these kinds of efforts that end up in tears and tragedy,” said Humboldt County Second District Supervisor Estelle Fennell. “Today, we can all shed tears of joy.”

This clever boy has put a smile on millions of people’s faces. His clever and unique way of using the technology to solve a problem he faced up with is just adorable.
Young Gracie and his mother were having a good time visiting their neighbours. However, as all kids out there, the interest of staying with the neighbours soon vanished and Gracie decided that he wants to go home.
To his luck, the Mum allowed him to go back home alone and he was permitted to watch the kids’ channel. But, there was one small problem – he didn’t know what number is the kids channel. Home alone and uninformed, the kid did something so sweet and amazing.
Instead of going back to the neighbours’ or using the Internet, the kid referred to the door bell. Yes, the door bell at the front! He knew his father installed a camera on the door bell, so the young Gracie called his father. The conversation is just so cute.
The word ‘Dad’ repeated several times directly to the camera made his father answer the call. The father-son conversation kicked off. The boy asked his father how to change the channel to the kids‘ one. Patiently the father tells him to press the 25 number. However, a new problem arose. The kid does not know what number is that. Dad is again helpful. He tells the boy to press the digits 2 and 5 and the magic works. The kid’s channel is on.
Having the problem solved, the kid is too happy to continue enjoying his free time. Now that the obstacle is gone, he does not hesitate expressing his happiness and his love to his father. Gracie says to camera:
“That’s buddy. I love you.”
The cute smile and the sincere answers, along with the ingenuity of the kid, pleased more than six million viewers on the Internet.

Places like Denny’s are attractive for people not only because of their wide offer of delicious meals but because you can have your favorite food any time of the day or the night. They offer 24/7 service and enjoying an omelette or a juicy hamburger won’t really cost you a lot.
One particular man, however, decided to visit the place not for the nice food, but for the cash. Johnathan Franklin’s life was a total mess as he had recently got out of prison and was on parole for committing a murder at the time of the attempted robbery of North Highlands Denny’s.
This 50-year-old felon entered the place carrying a gun and threatened the woman behind the counter asking her to give him the money.
Anyone involved in a situation like this would likely stay silent until the cops arrive or until the robber gets what they want and dash off. But not Douglas Tallman who was having breakfast with his family at the time of the incident. He knew he needed to act and later told KTXL:
“My heart dropped. I felt if I didn’t do something, something bad was going to happen.”
“You can just tell by the look on his face he was getting madder and madder, and she was panicking because she couldn’t open it. He was getting mad and I feel he would have shot her if she couldn’t get it open in time. I thought he was going to shoot her.”
“I grabbed him and I picked him up and slammed him on the ground,” he said. “And we just started going at it and the gun was literally … I know had to have been no more than 8 inches away.”
“There was a lot of people in there and I felt if anything was going to happen I’d rather it happen to me than any of them.”
At that moment, this brave man’s son stepped in and tried to help his father getting Franklin down.
“I’m not going to let him fight somebody by himself,” he told KTXL.
Not being able to fight with two people all at once, Franklin fired a shot that hit the 16-year-old’s foot and left the place. He then carjacked a vehicle and collided with a cop’s car.
Tallman says his son is going to be just fine and he is glad no one else got hurt. As for Franklin, he got arrested and taken back to jail. He robbed another place the previous week.
“I’m very proud of him,” Tallman’s wife, Monica, said. “That was somebody’s daughter, somebody’s sister. I’m very grateful that he did what he did.”
“I don’t feel like I’m a hero,” Tallman protested. “I just kind of went on what I thought was right and that was my instinct and my heart.”
For Bo Steele from Alabama the worst day of his life turned out to be the turning point in his music career. What Bo spontaneously did one day in 2014 gave him, unexpectedly, the once-in-a-lifetime chance.
Everything started with his grandmother’s admittance to the hospital. As a good nephew and well-mannered young man, Bo was always near his grandmother since the illness ruined the comfort of their lives.
While staying in the hospital waiting room, one of the nurses suggested him to do anything that could help settle down his worries. So, Bo did what he was best at – singing.
His acapella voice rang through the hospital waiting room and hall. The touching lyrics and the dedication of the song made emotional everyone in the room. But, the patients and the staff were not the only one that heard his vocal skills.
According to their own website, some relevant people from the music industry heard his singing and his wonderful talent. Since Bo and his friend had formed a band some time in the past, the band was offered a deal that could not be turned out. They signed for Fire River Records.
Soon the band started recording many songs that amused the audience, but guess what song was the most beloved? It’s the song he sang in the hospital – ‘Victory in Jesus’. Therefore, the song was recorded and it became part of their repertoire.
Bo later says that the song had a great meaning to him, especially due to the circumstances which the song was sang in. He says:
“It means something to people and that means something to us.”

You’ll Need –2 slices your favorite sandwich bread –2 slices cheddar or your favorite cheese –2 to 3 teaspoons mayonnaise
How To
Heat a nonstick pan over low heat.
Spread the two slices of bread with an even coat of mayo.
Place one slice of bread in the pan, mayo-side-down.
Place the cheese slices on top of the bread in the pan.
Add the other slice of bread, mayo-side-up.
Cook the sandwich for a few minutes, until the bottom piece of bread is golden-brown. Flip the sandwich and cook for a few more minutes until the other piece of bread is also golden-brown and the cheese is melted.

“If you look at the underlying mechanism, the cocoa flavanols have beneficial effects for cardiovascular health and can increase cerebral blood volume in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus,” Socci explains.
“This structure is particularly affected by aging and therefore the potential source of age-related memory decline in humans.”

Now this all sounds good, but it makes you think whether you would risk getting fat all for the sake for a healthier heart and brain if you decide to eat sweets every day. Actually, it makes us ponder on how much chocolate is enough.
“There are potential side effects of eating cocoa and chocolate,” Socci says.
“Those are generally linked to the caloric value of chocolate, some inherent chemical compounds of the cocoa plant such as caffeine and theobromine, and a variety of additives we add to chocolate such as sugar or milk.”
So, we would conclude that it’s not really about how much sweets you eat, but what do you opt for. Just try to limit those chocolates with added sugars or other ingredients that can make you gain weight and always choose dark chocolate over other sugary things.

4-year-old boy with Down’s Syndrome nicknamed ‘Smiley Riley’ captures thousands of hearts, only to land modelling job!
Whenever Down’s Syndrome was mentioned, lots of stereotypes emerged. People become compassionate and caring. In most cases such feelings arose just because they thought having a child or a family member with Down’s Syndrome was an obstacle for having a ‘normal and pleasant life’. But, is it really like that?
Meet the Baxters from Rochester, United Kingdom – the family that beats all these stereotypes. Riley, the 4-year old family star, is the source of happiness and family’s pride. The Down’s Syndrome, which Riley suffers from, did not stop him and his parents to live the life they have always dreamed about. Riley’s charisma and cute innocent smile, believe it or not, gave him a chance in modelling business!
Riley’s positive attitude, sincere happiness and love brought him the opportunity that many models wish they had. Riley was chosen the face of the Mothercare Ad.
The parents’ happiness and joy is overwhelming. Riley’s father, Stuart, did not hesitate expressing his emotions for Caters News by stating:
“We have called him ‘Smiley Riley’ from a young age, because he makes people really happy and seeing his smile gives people a pick-me-up on a bad day.”
The family’s happiness and comfortable life was not always as smooth as it is now. Like every beginning, their journey started roughly and with many difficulties. However, the hope for easy and purposeful life, in addition to creating a normal living conditions for Riley, forced them to think positively.
From strengthening his physical posture to learning how to pose for the camera, Stuart and his wife made that journey a true success. Riley’s unconditional love and joy was doubled and his confidence levelled up. As a consequence to that, people noticed him and decided to share that charm with the rest of the world – by making him a model that shines!
Referring to their initial thoughts, the parents say:
“After we were told he had Down Syndrome I cried, not for the case that I would love him any less but just knowing how cruel the world can be. That was the first thing that went through my mind but obviously my perceptions were wrong, and wow how wrong I was.”

Vilma is a sweet girl from Sweden who is fascinated by big ships.
She enjoys watching them sail in and out of port. This time, she was standing at the edge of a pier, looking at the ships when she wished to get one honk. Her mother filmed her doing her best to make the captain notice her. From doing the international hand gesture for a truck or ship to honk that resembles pulling the rope of a bus when we wish it to stop, to making the sound of the horn herself. Her mother is having fun watching her daughter trying to make her wish come true.
The sweetest thing of all is when beautiful Vilma makes this funny “toot toot” sound. She’s perfectly aware no one would listen to her doing so, but she simply won’t stop trying to catch the captain’s attention and get the honk she loves to hear so much.
Her persistence finally pays off and the massive ship treats her with several loud and long honks. Now one would think this would make Wilma happy, but her reactions is surprisingly quite the opposite.
It looks as though she couldn’t imagine the sound would be so loud. She definitely wasn’t prepared for what she got, so she quickly turned around and started running towards her mummy who couldn’t contain her laughter. Vilma’s wish failed to live up to her expectations, and the outcome is quite hilarious. At least she knows what to expect when she does that “toot toot” next time.

You never know when the life will turn the back on you. Imaging living the life you have been craving for, achieving all the goals you have set up and suddenly you have no idea who you are! That must be a frustrating thing for you and the family members that surround you.
This is exactly what happened to Norm. As his daughter Elaine Rusk explains for The Sun Chronicle, Norm was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease when he was 89 years old. Since 2014, Norm has no idea who he is or what he has been doing in the past years of his adulthood. But, not always!
Thanks to the love and the dedication of his daughter, Norm got a constant care and attention by his beloved ones, not being institutionalized. As a consequence to that, Elaine tries to occupy Norm with activities that once were his passion. She decided to reintroduce Norm’s favorite hobby – watercolour painting.

The efforts had some good results. Now and then a bright light shines in the tunnel of darkness. There are moments when Norm is ‘back’ and his memory is as good as it was previously. Elaine explains that they share special moments filled with love and care. She adds that she will remember those moments for the rest of her life. She wouldn’t have experienced those moments if Norm ended up institutionalized.
Additionally, Elaine says:
“To me, it’s like a sacred time. We’re in the moment together. A sacred time. We’re in the moment together.”
Even though taking care of a patient with Alzheimer’s is a hard work and sometimes a tiring thing to do, the love you get back is priceless. Elaine’s smile says it all.

The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headline the next day:

The bishop fainted.
He informed the nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey, so she sold it to a farmer for $10.
The next day the paper read:
NUN SELLS ASS FOR $10.
This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild. The next day the headlines read:
Contrary to the common belief that police officers are only spending their days pulling people over and giving tickets while patrolling in their cars, the reality is totally different. These people do a lot for the community and wear many hats fulfilling their role of making sure people are safe and sound. And as many of them deal with catching criminals, most are also involved in proactive problem-solving.
Brandon Sheffert is one of those police officers who are ready to go an extra mile when it comes to people’s safety. One night, while he was on the job, something unusual attracted his attention. A boy who was obviously in a hurry, which made him make an assumption the kid could be in trouble.
“We were just driving around patrolling, and we noticed this kid who was sprinting down 85th Avenue. We were kind like, ‘this is odd. Nobody sprints like that, so let’s stop this kid.'”

None of these strangers could ever think how this encounter would change their lives.
“Something about it bugged me, because I couldn’t get through to him. He just seemed like there was something going on, and that there was something that was hurtful going on that he would say,” Brandon said about the experience.
The kind officer then put his mind into keeping an eye on the 16-year-old kid whose name was Antony Schultz. The teen lived in a one bedroom apartment with his family of seven and struggled to lead a normal life.
Anthony turned out to be a very nice boy who was interested in becoming an even better person, but he needed a little push in order to fulfill his dreams. That’s when officer Brandon stepped in and turned this boy’s life around. He became Anthony’s official mentor through the YMCA Reach and Rise program.
“I had a role model. I had someone I could look up to. I had someone I could aspire to be,” Anthony had to say.
One night, the boy’s mother called Brandon and asked him to take Antony. Having two children on their own, the officer and his wife knew that welcoming another member in their home would be a true blessing.
“We have taken him in as one of our own. Even my kids say he’s their big brother, and they love it.”
You’d be amazed to hear of everything this aspiring teen achieved once he started living with the Sheffert family. The constant support and the love they surrounded him with resulted in Anthony being the first person in his family to graduate from high school. He even got a driver’s license.
