Grandpa Gets Audited And Fires Back at The IRS in The Best Way Possible

There is one thing in life that you should remember, and that’s to never mess with old people. They’ve been here long enough to know how things work. A grandpa was called to the IRS office, but he came with a brilliant plant. You are going to love this one.

The IRS decides to audit Grandpa, and summons him to the IRS office. The IRS auditor was not surprised when Grandpa showed up with his attorney.

The auditor said, “Well, sir, you have an extravagant lifestyle and no full-time employment, which you explain by saying that you win money gambling. I’m not sure the IRS finds that believable.”

“I’m a great gambler, and I can prove it,” says Grandpa. “How about a demonstration?”

The auditor thinks for a moment and says, “OK. Go ahead.”

Grandpa says, “I’ll bet you a thousand dollars that I can bite my own eye.”

The auditor thinks a moment and says, “It’s a bet.”

Grandpa removes his glass eye and bites it. The auditor’s jaw drops.

Grandpa says, “Now, I’ll bet you two thousand dollars that I can bite my other eye.”

The auditor can tell Grandpa isn’t blind, so he takes the bet.

Grandpa removes his dentures and bites his good eye. The stunned auditor now realizes he has wagered and lost three grand, with Grandpa’s attorney as a witness. He starts to get nervous.

“Want to go double or nothing?” Grandpa asks. “I’ll bet you six thousand dollars that I can stand on one side of your desk, and pee into that wastebasket on the other side, and never get a drop anywhere in between.”

The auditor, twice burned, is cautious now, but he looks carefully and decides there’s no way this old guy could possibly manage that stunt, so he agrees again. Grandpa stands beside the desk and unzips his pants, but although he strains mightily, he can’t make the stream reach the wastebasket on the other side, so he pretty much urinates all over the auditor’s desk.

The auditor leaps with joy, realizing that he has just turned a major loss into a huge win. But Grandpa’s attorney moans and puts his head in his hands.

“Are you OK?” the auditor asks.

“Not really,” says the attorney. “This morning, when Grandpa told me he’d been summoned for an audit, he bet me twenty-five thousand dollars that he could come in here and pee all over your desk and that you’d be happy about it.”

Farmer Brings Rooster To A Movie Theater And An Old Lady’s Reaction Is Going Viral

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, life surprises you and you figure out there are still a bunch of things you are yet to discover. What an old lady at the movie theatre got to see for the first time ever is going to make you laugh. This is definitely a must read.

A farmer decided he wanted to go to town and see a movie.

The ticket agent asked, sir, what’s that on your shoulder?”

The old farmer said, “That’s my pet rooster chuck. Wherever I go, chuck goes.”

“I’m sorry sir,” said the ticket agent. “We can’t allow animals in the theatre.”

The old farmer went around the corner and stuffed chuck down his overalls.

Then he returned to the booth, bought a ticket, and entered the theatre. He sat down next to two old widows named Mildred and Marge.

The movie started and the rooster began to squirm. The old farmer unbuttoned his fly so chuck could stick his head out and watch the movie.

“Marge,” whispered Mildred.

“What?” said Marge. “I think the guy next to me is a pervert.”

“What makes you think so?” asked Marge.

“He undid his pants and he has his thing out,” whispered Mildred.

“Well, don’t worry about it”, said Marge. “At our age we’ve seen ’em all” “I thought so too,” said Mildred, “But this one’s eatin’ my popcorn!”

Enraged dad shares pics of daughter’s ex boyfriend and puts bounty on his head

Abuse does not discriminate and everyone can become a victim of domestic violence. Escaping from the hands of the abuser is not always easy. Many times those affected are afraid to speak and even if they do, this issue is many times overlooked and denied.

The victims should be encouraged to gather courage and ask for help, because if the abuse lasts for too long, it may result with severe physical and mental consequences, or even death.

When a girl named Chelsea Simmons was brutally beaten by her now ex boyfriend, the injuries she suffered were so severe that she lost the sight on her left eye. Her face and body were all covered in bruises and she was on the brink of death.

Chelsea’s father was furious and was determined to do everything in his power to make the attacker pay for what he did. He released his pictures and put bounty on his head.

Cedric Powe, Chelsea’s ex has a criminal history, including an arrest of domestic abuse and obstruction of justice. He has also violated several orders of protection.

This incident that took place back in 2015 left Chelsea traumatized and scared for her life.

“Apparently he choked her until she passed out, brought her back, then choked her again and continually stomped on her head,” explained Chelsea’s stepmother, Melissa Zack.

“She’s scared and she probably will be forever.”

After he attacked Chelsea, Powe fled to the south side of St. Louis.

This wasn’t the first time for this young lady to be hurt by this vicious man. Back in 2013, he kidnapped her and demanded cash from her family to release her.

“He needs to be caught so that this doesn’t happen to anyone else, and I don’t have to worry about it happening to her ever again,” said Melissa Zack.

The $500 reward that Chelsea’s father offered for valuable information about Powe helped the authorities locate him and arrest him.

He was charged with attempted first-degree murder, and domestic violence after which he was sentenced to 14 years in jail. Additionally, he has to serve 4-years of parole and pay $1,352.60 in restitution.

Chelsea was eventually able to put this ordeal in the past and is now happily married with a daughter. She had all the support from her family and it helped her start her life again and be happy.

10-year-old girl with special needs bitten by student on school bus

Peer bullying is a real issue that is present in almost every educational institution. However, many times, it goes beyond the school building and may take place even in the school bus.

Such was the case with 10-year-old Lillian Waldron who is a student at Langlade Elementary School in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Recently, when she got home from school, she was anxious and couldn’t calm down. Her mother Lynn Waldron-Moehle couldn’t possibly know the reason for her daughter’s condition because sweet Lillian has a developmental delay and is unable to communicate. According to her mother, her mannerism is like that of a 2-year-old child.

Lynn though that giving Lillian a bath would help calm her down, and that’s when she noticed the horrific bruises on the girl’s arms.

Poor Lillian got attacked by another student in the school bus who bit her severely multiple times.

“She can’t tell them to stop, she couldn’t get away, because she’s in a five-point harness car seat. She just had to sit there and take it and the bus driver wasn’t stopping,” Waldron-Moehle told WBAY.

“She loves baths and that’s soothing to her, so I brought her home, and I was getting her ready for the bath and I took her sweatshirt off and that’s when I noticed the major bruising on her upper arm,” she said.

“The seat was right behind the bus driver and he couldn’t hear anything going on or see anything? Come on,” Chad Waldron, Lillian’s father, said.

Lillian’s principal watched the video footage taken by the bus camera and was able to see the incident. All the students sharing the bus are with special needs.

“He said it was gruesome and horrifying to look at, and that the girl was brutally biting my daughter’s arm,” Waldron-Moehle said.

The girl who attacked Lillian no longer attends the school. But incidents like this are likely to occur if other precautions aren’t undertaken. According to Lillian’s parents, last year, their daughter was undressed and touched inappropriately in the school bus.

“The District is conducting an investigation into the situation and will be working with the bus company to ensure appropriate processes and procedures are in place to prevent this from occurring in the future,” school district Superintendent Michelle Langenfeld said in a statement.

Until the investigation is on and for the sake of Lillian’s safety, she will go to and from school in a van with two adults.

A gay man in Vegas was approached by a 40-year-old stranger seeking advice on raising his son.

Musician Jack Remmington has an awesome story to share. An encounter he had with a friendly man in his 40s warmed the hearts of people across the country and the world.

As Jack and his best friend were having some fun time in Vegas, playing on the Mariah Carey slots, the man sat on the machine next to them and tried to engage into a conversation. His first question was whether Jack and his friend were a couple. When they said no, he proceeded asking if they were gay. Jack assumed it would be one of those chats where people judge them for their choices, but he was so wrong.

The man was actually trying to talk to a gay person and seek advice on how to communicate with his son whom he though was a gay himself but was probably still in the closet.

The two friends were pleasantly surprised and were willing to offer a helping hand, as that man was one caring and supportive father. Who wouldn’t want a parent like that?

After sharing the story on Twitter, it spread like a wildfire.

“Ok I just experienced the nicest exchange with a stranger and think it’ll help to share: I was playing on the Mariah Carey slots in Vegas (naturally) and a friendly circa-mid-40s ish guy sat down to play on the machine next to me,” Remmington wrote.

I was sitting with @marcoalessifilm, both wearing pink (naturally) and after chatting a little to the guy about Vegas, he nervously asked if he could ask us a question. I knew where this was gonna go as it always does so did a bit of an inner eye roll but indulged him anyway
He then asked if we were together so we said no (we’re best friends and he has a fab bf) and he asked if we were gay, so we said yes. He then said he thinks his 13 year old son might be gay and wondered if he could ask us how best for him to navigate that
He lit up when talking about his son, and I nearly started crying at how much he clearly loved him. The guy wanted to know how to make his son feel most comfortable about himself whilst not being too overt and glaringly obvious in forcing a conversation about his sexuality
This man is SO sweet. From rural Arkansas and said whilst things are so much better now, he still just wants the world to be totally equal for his son. Marco and I said he sounds like he’s doing all the right things and that making his son know he’s loved is the best he can do
We both gave a couple of anecdotes from personal experience, largely relating to condoning abstract things when you see them like normalising conversations around gay kisses on TV or calling our family conversations that might shame potential queerness
We also mentioned not accidentally policing things so as to shame him – for instance, often out of a sense of protection and love parents can frown on a child’s behaviour or outfit because they’re worried for their safety when on a night out etc.
But we stressed that if this was their feeling it’s important to vocalise this exactly, rather than leaving the child ruminating over the parent’s intentions and second guessing why they said what they said
So in terms of advice to friends or relatives of a potentially queer person, what would fellow queers advise is the best way to make it known they have their love and support without causing an uncomfortable conversation that might force someone to come out before they’re ready?

Although Jack was there to provide support and advice, it’s sad that not everyone has a safe space to educate themselves on certain questions they have related to LGBTQ.

“My first impression was that he seemed nice as he chatted which is more than what tends to happen with people you sit next to in Vegas at the slots. That said, I didn’t expect it to take this turn at all,” Remmington said in an interview with Bored Panda.

“The relationship between him and his son has a 100% future – he was a wonderful and caring man, despite what he said was quite a difficult town to grow up in if you’re at all different. I wish all fathers could be like him.”

School’s disgusting lunch goes viral, superintendent stood up for staff

Students spend a great amount of time at school attending lessons and gathering knowledge on different subjects and life in general. During that time, they are taken care of. They are engaged in fun activities, get breaks from learning, and of course, are supposed to have lunch that would give them the energy for the day.

But what are our kids served in the educational institutions? A photo of a school lunch that was posted on Facebook and took the Internet by storm raised the question of the quality of food students are offered. After Daily Mail shared the story behind the photo, local TV station WJACTV picked it up and it really became a viral sensation.

When you take a look at what’s on the plate, it may take you a couple of minutes to even figure out what it is. It’s definitely not appealing and doesn’t look delicious as spots of grease are visible on the surface.

After the local outlets contacted the school and the superintendent of the school district of the area, Dr. Luke Lansberry, he took a stand that what was supposed to be a hamburger didn’t really look that bad. He said the school staff cooked it on a higher temperature than they were supposed to, otherwise, it was a nice lunch.

“Food service workers cooked the hamburgers at 170 degrees, when typically they are only required to cook at 155 degrees,” Lansberry said to WAJC TV.

“There’s a pretty good chance that hamburger was overcooked and a lot of the internal ingredients surfaced from that level of heat.”

Although he claims the hamburger wasn’t really that bad, and the school staff is doing their best to cook the food the right way, he said he would ask for this type of food to be off the menu in the future.

“Our food service director has contacted the state and told them about the situation and made it clear we will no longer accept that product in the district, just to make sure that we have good quality food,” he said.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you believe the lunch served at school cafeterias meets the standards of healthy food? What are your kids served while at school? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.

Marine Is Forced To Share a Room With a Snoring Air Force Guy. What He Does Next Is Genius.

How a Marine dealt the situation with the snoring guy he had to share a room with is going to make you laugh.

By the time a Marine pulled into a little town, every hotel room was taken.
“You’ve got to have a room somewhere,” he pleaded. “Or just a bed, I don’t care where.”
“Well, I do have a double room with one occupant, a Navy guy,” admitted the manager, “and he might be glad to split the cost.
But to tell you the truth, he snores so loudly that people in adjoining rooms have complained in the past.
I’m not sure it’d be worth it to you.”
“No problem,” the tired Marine assured him.
“I’ll take it.” The next morning the Marine came down to breakfast bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.
“How’d you sleep?” Asked the manager.
“Never better.”
The manager was impressed.
No problem with the other guy snoring, then?”
“Nope, I shut him up in no time.”
Said the Marine. “How’d you manage that?” asked the manager.
“He was already in bed, snoring away, when I came in the room,” the Marine explained.
“I went over, gave him a kiss on the cheek, said, ‘Goodnight, beautiful,’ and he sat up all night watching me.”

Mom Writes Her Daughter a Touching Letter About Getting Old. This Is So True It Hurts.

Getting old is part of life. When our parents reach that age when they start forgetting things or are unable to take full care of themselves, most of us seem to lack the patience to work with them and help them rediscover the world around them. But we forget how those were the ones who taught us everything about our world first.

What one mother wrote to her daughter about getting old is to true it hurts.

My dear girl, The day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through. If when we talk, I repeat the same thing a thousand times, don’t interrupt to say: “You said the same thing a minute ago”… Just listen, please. Try to remember the times when you were little and I would read the same story night after night until you would fall asleep.

When I don’t want to take a bath, don’t be mad and don’t embarrass me. Remember when I had to run after you making excuses and trying to get you to take a shower when you were just a girl?
When you see how ignorant I am when it comes to new technology, give me the time to learn and don’t look at me that way … remember, honey, I patiently taught you how to do many things like eating appropriately, getting dressed, combing your hair and dealing with life’s issues every day… the day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through.

If I occasionally lose track of what we’re talking about, give me the time to remember, and if I can’t, don’t be nervous, impatient or arrogant. Just know in your heart that the most important thing for me is to be with you.

And when my old, tired legs don’t let me move as quickly as before, give me your hand the same way that I offered mine to you when you first walked. When those days come, don’t feel sad… just be with me, and understand me while I get to the end of my life with love. I’ll cherish and thank you for the gift of time and joy we shared. With a big smile and the huge love I’ve always had for you, I just want to say, I love you … my darling daughter.

Angry Mom Calls Local News Station After School Forces Her Daughter to Remove the Medical Mask

Mikayla Smith is a freshman high school student from Oklahoma who had undergone a tonsils removal surgery just recently. Since she still had scabs in her throat, her mother bought her a mask because she feared the girl could be exposed to germs when around other students.

After Mikayla entered the school wearing the mask, school officials asked her to remove it because it violated the dress code policy.

When she got home that day telling her mom what had happened, she got really frustrated. After trying to explain the officials how her daughter wore the mask as a health precaution, she was told the rules said no masks allowed.

Mikayla’s mom asked to review the school’s handbook, but she didn’t find any written policy regarding wearing medical masks during lesson time. Meanwhile, Mikayla was removed from classes.

The school then told the Smiths how they would offer Mikayla an actual medical mask, as the one she already had apparently wasn’t used for medical purposes.

“A medical mask has three layers including a paper filter. The district health coordinator provided a box of surgical grade medical masks to help protect the student from sickness. A ‘rave’ mask is just cloth, similar to pulling a t-shirt over your mouth. It won’t protect from germs. When a judgement is to be made regarding distractive items or dress code, a site principal will make the decision. Mid-Del Schools provided a medical mask for a student to wear while at school.”

The mom didn’t want to accept what the school had to offer, so she called the local news outlet instead and hoped her story would spread. Her purpose was to change the school policies regarding wearing medical masks.

Many people do wear masks when they feel threatened by viruses, or when they are sick and don’t want to spread the germs on others. These masks, however, are thin and usually white or light blue in color. Mikayla’s mask was thicker and black. Her mom also admitted how she was the one to decide her daughter should wear a mask. The girl wasn’t advised to do so by the doctor.

In cases wearing a mask is prescribed by a doctor, then teachers and students should get clearance from school administrators. It’s unclear whether the Smiths asked for one before Mikayla went to school with her mask that day.

You can take a look at the whole story in the video below.

Do you think she should have been allowed to wear the mask? What are your thoughts on wearing medical masks at school or in the public places?

Girl With Tourette Syndrome and Her Family Got Kicked Out of Movie Theater

Emily, a 15-year-old from Oklahoma who is absolutely in love with the Marvel’s movie got a surprise from her parents. She was about to go to the opening night of Avengers: Endgame. Both her and her family were looking forward to a night full of fun.

However, their plan didn’t turn out as expected because of Emily’s Tourette syndrome. This disorder is characterized by repetitive, stereotyped, involuntary movements and vocalizations called tics. These movements, squawks, and grunts come on suddenly and are hard to control, although Emily manages to do so very often.

Before the premiere showing, the girl tried letting the tics so that she could stay as silent as possible while the movie was on. But despite her efforts, and despite the fact the movie wasn’t on yet, people complained because of the noises she made.

When the manager told the family to step out into the hallway, Emily’s mom assured him that her daughter would be quiet once the movie starts. The manager then said that it would be for the best if they simply leave the place.

Hearing this, Emily’s mood changed and she felt heartbroken. Her mom, however, was determined to stand up for her and refused to leave.

Take a look at the whole story in the video below.

Interracial Family Gets Shocking Letter from Racist Neighbor

On May 1, a family from Vacaville, California found a letter in their mailbox, and now the whole nation is speaking about it. The words typed on that piece of paper shook Marc Yu and his family to the core, because they never thought they would be unwelcome in the neighborhood where they moved recently only because of their race. The latter said it was written on the behalf of the whole community.

Apparently, their neighbors didn’t want them near by and told them to move places. The letter was offensive and full of racist comments. The Yus couldn’t believe there were still people out there who were bothered by someone’s race and skin color.

“The community is making this request that you find another place to live,” the note read. “… your interracial family is not welcome here.”

The person or people writing the letter said how the place was having certain standards and this interracial family simply didn’t fit any of them.

“The Meadowland is an older neighborhood with established residents living in this area for over 20 years,” it continued. “We pride ourselves for the cleanliness and quiet atmosphere in the area. Very little crime as well. The community is making this request that you find another place to live. Renters like yourselves cannot possibly afford a home in our area … This is not the ghetto.”

Marc is of Chinese and Filipino descent and his wife Sandy is a Mexican American. But this family isn’t any different from the rest of the 17 percent of mixed-race families in the U.S. They’ve never experienced anything similar before, where they would be judged based on their appearance and heritage. This came as a shock especially because it happened in California, where the greatest number of interracial marriages are registered.

“We may sound harsh,” the letter continues, “but your interracial family is not welcome here. We will contact your landlord and tell them to evict you if you don’t vacate in the next 60 days.”

Marc believed what was written wasn’t what everyone though of them, as most of the neighbors seemed very welcoming and nice. He though he should share the letter on Facebook after which it went viral. Along with it, Marc wrote, “It’s 2019. This is what came in the mail sticking out my mailbox. I own my home, so I can’t wait for them to contact the ‘Landlord, I can’t believe this sh*t still happens.” People were equally shocked by the content of the letter as the Yus were.

Some of the comments were that what the neighbors did was “despicable, irresponsible, and un-American.” Someone even advised Marc to contact the authorities.

Fox 40 spoke to some of the neighbors and they all had nice words to say about Marc and Sandy. One of them even said how they are amazing and generous people as they once welcomed “homeless grandparents and a grandson, along with two women who struggled to find a place to live.”

“We just try to keep our kids to understand the raw value of things and understand what’s right and what’s wrong,” Yu told the outlet. “Not everybody is a bad apple. There’s more good people than there are bad people.”

What are your thoughts about this story? Do you believe that we, as a country, still have a long road to go before we get rid of racism completely?

You don’t need to be lover of this sport in order to enjoy what she does.

Although her performances look effortless, it really took her a lot of hard work to get to where she is today. She shared with The Players’ Tribune how she’s gone through tough training, suffered injuries, and struggled with self-image and had to overcome the pressure of being the best in the field.

But we have to agree that it all paid off at the end as she’s now a famous name in the world of gymnastics.

This awesome young lady didn’t limit herself to performing only, but she took a full advantage of her position in order to become a valuable member of the community. She is spreading messages of empowerment for women and stands with survivors of abuse. This makes her not only a great sports person, but an amazing human being too.

“This is a dream come true for a coach to see a student-athlete mature through celebrity,” said one of Katelyn’s coaches, Kondos Field. “She has been inundated with media requests and having to keep up with school and having to be a great team player and not being able to be late for work out. And she’s maneuvered everything so well like a pro.”

Katelyn has the support of her coaches, her teammates, and her parents who always cheer her during her spectacular routines.

ESPN commentators praised her ability to spread happiness and joy while on the floor. Katelyn is indeed a very special girl.

Teacher’s Inspirational Note To Students Goes Viral

When it comes to teachers and the influence they have on one’s life, we guess the saying that goes “it takes big heart to shape little minds” is totally accurate.

These people do their best to help students overcome the subject they teach, as well as help them become better people and respected citizens of their community.

One teacher from Queensland, Australia did an amazing job when it came to showing support to her incoming fourth-grade class. She was aware the students needed to be told how everything was going to be just fine so in order to motivate them this incredible teacher prepared goodie bags.

However, these bags came with a message that vent viral all for the right reasons.

“I am so glad that you’re here. Here is a little goodie bag to help kick off the year. The eraser is to remind you that it is ok to make mistakes. We’ll work and learn together, no matter what it takes. The stickers mean we’ll stick together and work hard as a team. The puzzle shows how we fit together, working towards a common theme. The bookmark is to show you-you always have a place. If you ever feel a little lost we’ll help you find your space. The smarties are to remind you how smart I think you are. Work hard and do your best. Remember to aim far!”

Having a teacher who cares is an extra motivation for the students to perform well during lessons and behave appropriately. This way, they know there is someone they can always reach for help when things get tough or they have struggles overcoming certain subject, project, or assignment.

“This is a great example of the welcoming atmosphere Bowen State School teachers and staff created for students as they started the school year. The school’s dedicated teachers came up with a range of ways to make new and returning students feel welcomed and confident for the year ahead,” the spokesman for the Queensland Department of Education had to say regarding this teacher’s kind act.

We are glad people appreciated what this teacher did for her students. Everyone is praising her action and says how we need more educators like her who go beyond their job for the sake of the students.

America’s Got Talent Honors “The Singing Doctor” Brandon Rogers Who Died in a Car Crash

When doctor Brandon Rogers took the stage of America’s Got Talent, he stunned both the crowd and the panel of judges. Although the 29-year-old man had a successful career already, he said how his passion for music was too big for him not to pursue his dreams of becoming a professional singer.

But a month before the show aired on television, “the singing doctor” lost his life in a car crash. Everyone was devastated because of that tragic incident.

Knowing just how much music meant to Brandon, AGT did an amazing thing. They shared Brandon’s audition at the end of the episode as a tribute to what he offered the nation that day. The video of him performing has been seen by millions of people and was shared many times in honor of the rising star whose life was cut short.

“On June 11th one of our contestants, Brandon Rogers, tragically passed away in a car accident. At the request of his family, we would like to honor his memory by sharing his audition with you,” the beginning of the video reads.

His family was very thankful to the show for honoring Brandon. During the audition, he sang Stevie Wonder’s “Ribbon In The Sky” and received standing ovations. The judges agreed he was a true star in the making.

“I’ve never said this to a doctor before,” judge Simon Cowell said. “You’re sick. You are one of the best singers we’ve had in the competition so far.”

After getting four yeses, Brandon called his parents to tell them the good news.

Brandon also shared the story behind his decision to become a doctor. When he was just six years old, he got home one day to see his mother lying in blood.

“We rushed her to the hospital, the doctors were like heroes,” he said. “They saved her life and it made me want to be the doctor that I am today.”

This inspired him to dedicate his life to helping others. He had lots of plans for the future and would often say how he wanted to sing to his patients. Sadly, he didn’t get the chance to fulfill his dreams.

Rest in peace Brandon, and thank you for sharing your talent with the rest of us. You will never be forgotten.

4-year-old contracts deadly infection after trying on shoes barefoot

Going shopping gives us that relaxing feeling that we all need to experience every once in a while, especially in these stressful times. A mother and a daughter from Wales, UK were looking forward to buying some new clothes and shoes for themselves, but unfortunately, the trip to the shopping mall didn’t turn out as expected.

Jodie Thomas wanted to get her sweet 4-year-old daughter Sienna a brand new pair of shoes. The girl was pretty excited and tried out some. The thing was that she was wearing sandals barefoot that day and right after trying the shoes she experienced pain in her foot. It did look like something serious as the pain was severe and she couldn’t stop crying. Jodie rushed her to the hospital and what the doctors told her left her in disbelief.

Sienna contracted deadly infection that at that point spread across her body.

“By the next day it had spread up her leg and her temperature was raging,” the mother of three told The Sun.

“I drove her straight in to hospital, she was shaking and twitching – it was horrible to see my little girl like that.”

“They said it was sepsis and thought they would have to operate.”

“But the doctors have managed to drain all the pus from her leg and say the anti-biotic drip will do the job.”

The diagnosis was sepsis. The girl had to be hospitalized for five days, but is feeling better now. Doctors believe she got it from the shoes she was trying on, as even smallest cut is enough for the bacteria to be caught if the skin gets into touch with it.

“I was really shocked when the doctors said it was from trying on new shoes,” Jodie recalls.

“I’ve been worried sick, they’ve had to drain all the poison from her leg. Normally she would have socks on but it’s summer time so she was wearing sandals. The shoes she liked had been tried on by other little girls and that’s how Sienna picked up the infection.”

“I knew you risk getting things like athlete’s foot from trying on shoes but blood poisoning is far more serious,” mom said.

“You don’t know whose feet have been in the shoes before you. Sienna has been really ill, the infection was moving up her leg and spreading to the rest of her body. I’m so glad I got her to the hospital quickly.”

“With mums and dads doing back-to-school shopping I would advise them to take a spare pair of socks with them.”

People should be more aware of the devastating consequences of sepsis.

“This frightening case shows us that sepsis strikes indiscriminately and can affect anyone at any time,” Dr Ron Daniels told The Sun.

“Whenever there are signs of infection, it’s crucial that members of the public seek medical attention urgently and just ask: “Could it be sepsis?,” he added. “Better awareness could save thousands of lives every year.”

Jodie is now warning others to be more careful when going shopping for new shoes. She says parents should never let their kids try on any barefoot, like Sienna did.

“For all parents please put socks on [your] children while trying new shoes on. I’m guilty not doing it for mine and myself, but this can be the outcome infection spreading throughout the body. You don’t don’t know whos feet has been in them before hand!! Sienna has had one hell of [an] outing and thankfully and touch wood made a full recovery! Who [would’ve] thought trying new shoes on could make someone so ill. So with back to school shopping under way, carry a pair of spare socks!”

What the 7-year-old boy had to say before he passed away will break your heart

Marshal Clark was a vibrant boy who made everyone around him happy. His smile was the reason for his family and friends to have their hearts filled with joy. Unfortunately, in September 2013, Marshal said the final goodbye. This left everyone devastated and mourning for the loss of the boy they all loved so much.

Only 18 months before his passing, Michael was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder known as Late Infantile Batten Disease.

Over time, he lost the ability to see, to communicate, or eat and drink by himself. Watching the boy that was once the happiest kid on Earth being unable to perform basic things was beyond sad.

Marshal spent his last days in the comfort of his home while his grandmother, Elsie, who is a trained nurse took full care of him. When she recalls those times she says how her grandson never lost the desire to continue fighting. Unfortunately, the disease took over his fragile body.

Speaking to Daily Mail, Elie said, “When he lost the ability to walk, he learnt to crawl. When he struggled to feed himself using a knife and fork, he swapped his cutlery for two forks and would eat one mouthful at a time. And even when he was bed-bound, unable to move or talk, he continued to smile.”

Knowing how much his family suffered because of his condition, Michael wanted to leave the world assuring them he was going to a better place where he would no longer feel pain. He speaks of the things that made him happy and how there, up in Heaven, he’ll do those fun stuff again.

Elsie shared Michael’s letter on her Facebook page and people were left heartbroken.

We hope this brave boy will find his place in Heaven. He’s no longer suffering. Rest in Peace sweet Michael.

Woman Captures Stranger’s Selfless Act of Respect in Pouring Rain as Funeral Procession Passes

Losing a loved one means losing part of yourself. In those sad moments of grief and sorrow, we should always do our best to be as compassionate as we can and empathize with the family of the deceased. Although there is nothing we could change, being there and showing support could be of great importance.

One man from Bloomington knew how to pay respect when a funeral procession was passing on the roadway he was driving on. Now his action is spread on the social media and people say how we should all learn from this man.

He got out of his vehicle, got his hat off, bowed his head in silence, and stood right there on the pouring rain as the funeral procession passed.

This amazing act was spotted by many drivers and people who found themselves at the scene, but it was Joy Wagler who shared a photo of it on her Facebook page.

“I don’t know him, but he is a wonderful example of how we need to act when a funeral procession comes through while we are driving,” Wagler wrote.

“Not only did he pull over and stop, but he got out of his truck, took his hat off and stood (in the rain) with his hat on his chest and head bowed!” she continued.

“This was longer than the average funeral procession and he didn’t move until it was over. Unfortunately this is something that has been lost with a lot of people.”

“He showed so much respect,” Wagler wrote.

She believes that sharing the photo of him was sort of recognition for his action and his kind soul.

“It was a good reminder to me that we should never be so busy and so much in a hurry that we forget to show compassion and respect for our fellow men,” Wagler concluded.

Mom And Disabled Husband Receive Horrible Note At Olive Garden

Very often, people are mean and pretty judgmental. When we shape our opinions about someone based solely on their looks, without really knowing anything about that person, do we ever think of the consequences of that ignorant attitude of ours? I guess the answer to this question is a big no.

Before we say anything about those random strangers we get to meet every day on our way to work or home, we should always have in mind that things aren’t always as they appear.

This is how one person or people’s act affected Kionna Montazeri and her family and ruined their otherwise perfect day.

As they got out of the Olive Garden restaurant, they headed towards the vehicle and were in a good mood, but then, the note someone put on their car wiped the smiles off their faces.

It read, “Disabled? No. Just your big fat asses.”

Kionna and her husband Dusty were horrified and rushed to take that note off the car before their eight-year-old daughter could read what it said. But, ti was too late as she saw the words that left her wondering what her parents did in order to be offended like that. Her mother was willing to give her the answer and teach her a valuable lesson along the way. She told her how people do such things because they are rude and inconsiderate and don’t care about other people’s feelings. And that was something the girl should never be like.

Kionna’s post of the incident vent viral and we believe it’s a must read.

“To the person/persons that left this note on my car at the Olive Garden on Memorial in OKC today, I’d like to say thank you!”

“Your misguided and uninformed attempt to shame me and my family provided an opportunity to teach my 8 year old daughter a lesson. Upon seeing this note, she said ‘Mom, why would someone do that? They don’t even know us.’”

“This coming from a little girl who’s daddy will never get to walk her down the aisle, because, he is in fact disabled. So we explained to her that some people just have hate in their hearts. We further explained how your actions can deeply affect others around you, and how she should always be conscious of others feelings.”

“I explained that she was right. These people didn’t know us. They didn’t know that my husband has Muscular Dystrophy and has struggled with it his entire life. They didn’t know that even though his doctors advised him to go into a wheelchair years ago, he refused, and instead, remained on his own two feet until he finally fell for the last time, blowing out both knees and breaking an ankle. They didn’t understand that we’ve spent the last 2 years learning to adjust to a life in which he can’t even stand up to get in and out of a car.”

“They didn’t see that I’ve torn my rotator cuff lifting on him to assist him in his transitions. They have no idea that he already lives in constant pain, and that their hurtful words would only add to that. They didn’t know that the reason that he has a belly is because there are no stomach muscles left to hold everything in tight.”

“They didn’t know that our 8 year old already struggles to understand why her daddy can’t run and play with her the way other daddies do. They just didn’t know. And because they didn’t know, they allowed the hate in their hearts to get the better of them.”

“So again, I’d just like to say Thank You.”

“Your ignorance provided a wonderful opportunity for me and my husband, who have struggled and survived and come out stronger in the last couple of years, to not only teach our daughter a valuable lesson, but provided another opportunity for us to overcome and to be thankful for the blessings that continue to come our way!”

We hope that whoever wrote that note would read Kionna’s post and realize how their act made this family feel. This story is just another prove that we should never judge a book by its cover.

Homeless man hears fiery crash, drops sign and starts plucking folks from cars

It’s in the humans nature to judge others based on their physical appearance. Many times we label someone as good or bad without being aware of their life story and the obstacles they had to face during their lifetime.

Darin Barton has been a homeless man ever since he was involved in an accident back in July 2014. The crash between a light rail train and a car left him injured and unable to find a home. This man lives with the help of kind-hearted people for whom he says are not that many. Great number of passersby and drivers don’t even notice him. But Darin is someone who’d always offer help to another person and even animal in need.

Darin spends most of his days at a guardrail along the busy interstate off-ramp in Denver, asking for food or money.

For those who do notice Darin, he has a message to deliver; a sign he carries that says:

“Have a blessed day”.

Just last month, April 2019, Darin was casually staying at his spot when he witnessed one of the most destructive accidents taking place right before his eyes. A huge trailed smashed into vehicles, sparking a fire that claimed multiple lives.

Minutes after, officers and firefighters came at the scene and were desperately trying to extinguish the flames.

Darin didn’t even hesitate a bit before he rushed and tried getting some of the injured people to safety. This homeless man has a big heart and he would never just sit there and watch lives being lost. His bravery made him a hometown hero.

“As soon as I [saw] flames, I headed under the bridge, grabbed three or four people out of a couple cars,” Barton said.

Other people like Darin, who somehow found themselves there at the time of the crash also offered help.

When the story of his deed spread around, many people contacted Fox 31, asking how to get in touch with Darin in order to offer him help.

“Don’t judge people based on how they might look or whether or not they have a home or whatever, because that person that you looked down on might just save your life,” one of his supporters told KDVR.

This story is a perfect example of how we should never judge people because of their social status. Many humans are poor, but rich in the heart, and Darin is definitely one of them.

3 Teenage Restaurant Workers Fired and Arrested After Surveillance Footage Show Them Spitting in On-Duty Deputies’ Food

Eating at the local restaurants and fast-food places is what many of us do. Honestly, they offer mouth-watering specialties, as well as juicy hamburgers and stuff that we enjoy consuming every now and then. But what happened to two deputies who stopped by at the Highway 55 restaurant on April 27 will make you think twice before visiting such places.

Three of the employees, who were teenagers, spit in the deputies’ food. They only found out about it after someone told the restaurant owners of the act which was also caught on the surveillance camera.

It was the outraged owners who contacted the authorities, after which the teens were fired and arrested. Charges including battery on a law enforcement officer and food tampering were later filed against them.

The two boys and the girl were turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

The below video is the actual footage of the nasty act. This all makes you never cross your foot in a restaurant .

Teen Surprises Terminally Ill Dad with His Last Dying Wish

Seeing their children growing and becoming successful people is the best thing parents can experience during their lifetime. Watching them finish high-school or graduate means the world to so many moms and dads out there. For one father named Terry Borowski who was terminally ill, the wish of seeing his son walking across the stage and getting his diploma seemed like a distant and unreachable dream. For his son Darien, who is a student at the Oak Harbor High School, having his father near him on his special day was of great importance, too. But both the father and the son were aware it could never happen.

Terry was spending his last days at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio. During his stay there, he told the medical staff how he was afraid he would miss his son’s graduation, and it was obvious it made him extremely unhappy.

“That was the first thing that he said when he started getting a little weaker, ‘I don’t think I’m going to make it for graduation,’” recalled Terry’s wife, Michelle, to Port Clinton News Herald.

Jennifer DeWitt who is a social worker learned of Terry’s wish and she was determined to make it happen, no matter what it took. She reached Darien’s school, told them how things were, and asked them to do a “mock” graduation for the student and his family. The school knew doing so would mean the world to the Borowskis and they were more than happy to step in.

Principal Cheryl Schell, school board president Jeff Dornbusch and district superintendent Guy Parmigian prepared an early commencement for Darien. School’s staff and students took part in it and made it look as authentic as possible. Honestly, they nailed it.

“We’ll do anything for our kids and their families,” Schell stated. “This was a no-brainer. I couldn’t think of anything more important than to be here today.”

It wasn’t the first time for the hospice center to host such an important ceremony, as the school would never turn down such request as making a terminally ill parent happy seeing their child graduate.

“They would absolutely drop everything for something this important,” Dornbusch said of colleagues Schell and Parmigian. “This is just important as the May graduation date.”

What the hospice center and the school did was really awesome. Terry’s heart was filled with joy seeing Darien wearing the green hat. Both institutions were praised for their selfless effort of granting a dying man’s his final wish.

“I’m so proud of you,”

Terry told his son as he asked him to throw the hat in the air.

“Just seeing his father’s face — it made us very happy we’re here today,” Schell added. “As parents, we just want to know our kids are going to be OK. That they have a future and can take care of themselves. We have no doubt about that with Darien.”

28-Year-Old Woman Given Days to Live. Family Shares Heartbreaking Last Photos

Redhead, a 28-year-old girl from West Midlands, UK, suffered from colitis a great part of her life. It’s a condition in which intestinal lining becomes inflamed. She has visited numerous doctors throughout the years, but in the final year of her life she started feeling worse with each passing day. The hospital staff never though she had a serious illness believing her weight loss and the severe abdominal pain she experienced were a result of her condition so they didn’t take things serious enough. It wasn’t until her stomach got swollen and she could feel a lump that they ran tests on her. Unfortunately, the results were devastating. Redhead had bowel cancer.

“We were all devastated when we were told it was bowel cancer and that it was incurable,” said her younger sister, Emily.

At that point, it had already spread on more than 70 percent of her liver. The cancer was terminal and the girl refused the treatment she was offered.

“She said she’d rather have less time and feel healthier in herself so that’s what she chose to do,” said Emily.

During those short months she got to live, Redhead shared her struggles and her journey on the social media. She wanted to raise awareness of the type of cancer she had.

Redhead was a brave young girl who was determined to live her final days to the fullest. Her story was heartbreaking, but her will and her spirit were never broken. She would share images of her surrounded by the people who loved her to the moon and back and who were her support during her ordeal.

She posted photos of the happy moments she was given and the celebrations of Christmas, New Year, and her birthday together with her family.

Once she lost all her strength, her sister Emily took over the social media updates.

“We are so proud of the fight she’s put up for the last few months, she has been so brave but she has said she’s ready to die now and no longer be in pain,” said Emily.

Emily and her loving sister who lost her life way too early sent a clear message to everyone who suffers from colitis. Having this condition may lead to more serious illnesses, so getting regular check-ups is crucial for the prevention of developing cancer.

Boy with no arms forced to leave restaurant after manager has a few things to say

William Bancroft is a lovely three-year-old boy who was born without arms. However, that doesn’t prevent him to enjoy his life to the fullest. What’s most, he even eats all by himself using his feet.

Recently, he and his family decided to have breakfast at IHOP in Hot Springs, Ark. They were all excited to be going there for the first time and William just couldn’t wait to have his pancake.

Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a fun day with the family, turned into a bitter experience. Namely, as William tried to pick up the syrup dispenser, the place’s manager approached their table and his words left everyone outraged and overwhelmed.

The boy was refused to sit on the table and eat with his feet although that’s the only possible way for him to do so. William’s mother, Alexis Bancroft, told the manager how she always makes her son wash his feet before he eats, but the rude man insisted that if the boy continued touching things with his feet it would be considered a “health department issue.”

Alexis later told Newsweek how she asked the manager whether he goes around the restaurant asking people if they have washed their hands or not.

The manager realized that what he did was profoundly wrong and came back to apologize, but it was way too late. The words had been spoken and William was hurt. The family left IHOP because of the way the boy was treated.

The rest of the guests witnessed the whole thing and they were all sorry for what the family had to endure. Many left the place in support of the Bancrofts.

Alexis said how this was the first time for her son to be discriminated for not having arms. Other restaurants don’t have a problem with the way he eats. On the contrary, most people are amazed that William can feed himself.

Once they were home, Alexis took it to social media to share the unpleasant experience. It was then when the manager tried to say sorry again by writing to her on Facebook. The rest of the employees told Alexis how they were ashamed of their manager’s act.

“Me and a few other servers were completely SHOCKED that our manager did that,” one of the workers wrote.

IHOP released a statement saying their restaurants won’t accept or tolerate any type of discrimination. They also added, “The franchisee at this location has been in touch with the guest to express his sincerest apologies and will continue to be in communication with her to resolve the issue.”

We hope William would never again be treated with such disrespect. We are glad his mother stood for him the way she did.

Tim Tebow’s Mom Shares Incredible Moment She Refused Doctor’s Order to Abort Her Son

“Bringing Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need” is what the famous athlete Tim Tebow lives by. His deeds are kind, generous, and inspire others to become better people. Because of individuals like him, this world becomes a better place. The foundation he set up back in 2010 is there to “serve children and share God’s love…by fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves.”

He practices his faith every single day and believes he owes his success to God.

Tim’s parents were missionaries and they were the ones who brought Christianity and the trust in God close to his heart. He has been a devoted believer ever since he was a young boy. In fact, his mother and father say how Tim was a “miracle baby” because he got into this world despite the doctors’ insistence that his mom Pam Tebow had to terminate the pregnancy.

Doctors’ warnings came after Pam, who was 37 at the time, was diagnosed with amoebic dysentery for which she had to take strong medications. They feared how it could have a deteriorating effect on the unborn child. However, Robert Tebow, Tim’s father, had seen so many abortions in the Philippines that it affected him a great deal. He was feeling grief and sadness, and he prayed to God to give him a son whom he would name Timothy and who would spread the word of God. So when they learned Pam was pregnant, they decided to ignore doctors’ warnings and keep the baby. They asked God for things to turn right during the whole time, and he gave them “the miracle baby” in return for their strong faith.

“We didn’t really have to make a decision at that time,” she said during an interview with Focus on the Family. “We had made it years previous because we were determined to trust the Lord with the children that He would give us. And if God called me to give up my life, then He would take care of my family.”

Although he was a bit malnourished at birth, Tim soon became a healthy baby. Eventually, he turned into one of the most significant philanthropists of our time who makes a difference into many children’s’ lives.

Pam is a proud mother who knows her loving son is on the right path. She now shares their story in hopes of inspiring women to choose life for their unborn babies. Recently, she was a guest at the fundraising event New Beginnings Mercy House in Monroe, Michigan — a Christian crisis pregnancy center and spoke of the importance of supporting these kinds of centers.

The center’s website states,

“We must show the women the love of Christ by offering a loving home and practical support in every aspect of their needs during this time of crisis.”

Only in 2018, this center helped the birth of around 50 to 75 babies, and the number in these first months of 2019 is 18.

“It takes a lot of faith to stand for life today,” Pam said, according to Monroe News. “Abortion is everywhere and affects everyone. You’re exercising that big-faith muscle when you support this ministry.”

She then spoke about God and how he was merciful to her family, giving them Tim in their life despite the circumstances of his birth.

“He gives us so many opportunities to invest in heavenly things. We need to invest in pro-life organizations mainly because they save lives and invest in women and moms,” Pam said. “And we get a blessing, too.”

If the Tebows accepted the doctors’ advice some 31 years ago, the world wouldn’t have Tim, and we all know how much he has done and is still doing for those in need of help.

She said, “We need to stand up for these special kids — they are a gift from the Lord.”

Pam’s new book, “Ripple Effects” is set to be released on May 7, 2019.
