Meet the first student with Down syndrome to graduate from university in Oregon

Nowadays, compared to the past, people with Down syndrome are provided with more opportunities. According to DoSomething.org, “since the 1970s, public schools are required by law to provide a free and appropriate education to children with Down syndrome.” Most of these people are capable of leading completely normal lives, of excelling at school, and of working a huge number of jobs, just like everyone else.

Cody Sullivan is a student with Down syndrome who proves that what we have said so far is completely true. This young man is the first person with the syndrome to graduate from college in Oregon. Cody got a degree from Concordia University and completed four years of studies.

Spurce: Ann Donaca-Sullivan

He had shown immense success when he was in elementary school as well. He was part of the West Coast Think College coalition program which helps students with Down syndrome attend regular classes.

His friends describe Cody as a hard-working student. One of them, who attended college together with him said: “So Cody would have his notes in class, that he’d taken before, that aligned to what we were working on, and then when we had a project, he’d be up there with a modified project that fit the requirements of what we were doing in class.”

Source: KATU

The best thing of all is that Cody got a job as a teacher’s aide at a local charter school. This young man is such an inspiration. We wish him even more success in the years to come. Way to go, Cody.

Take a look at the video below showing Cody’s story along with other stories of inspiring students.

A group of teens shovel neighbor’s driveway at 4:30 am so she could make it to her dialysis treatment

The harsh winter that has frozen the country this year did not bring just bad news. The snow and the extreme cold did not stop people from doing all they could just to help their families and friends.

Last winter, the Internet community’s attention was channelled to two very brave and humane brothers, Brian and Patrick Lanigan from New Jersey. These brothers, together with their friends, did something that amazed everyone who learnt about it.

The story is really fascinating. Natalie Blair, a neighbour of these two brothers, has problems with her kidneys and she has to do dialysis on a regular basis. However, the winter snowstorm set some problems in the schedule. She wasn’t able to get out of the house. Luckily, she had those two great young neighbours. They jumped into action.

Brian is the older brother in the family. He is part of the EMT and so far in many cases he has been more than helpful to Natalie. This winter, when he was not working, he also helped her with her driveway and shovelled the snow that blocked the access of the house.

After he had cleared out the show from the driveway, Brian thought he is done with neighbour for a while. He was wrong. The night when he was doing the night shift, a terrible snowstorm was coming to the town. The driveway again was blocked and Natalie wasn’t able to go to hospital. Fortunately, Brian’s brother stepped up.

Even though Patrick and his friends were supposed to go to school the next morning, they did not think twice and immediately started planning the shovelling action. Since Natalie is doing the dialysis in the mornings, their plan was to clean the driveway early in the morning, before school. That early time was 4:30 am!

Patrick and his friends gathered up in front of the house and started shovelling. By the time the sun was up, Natalie’s driveway was accessible and she was able to do her dialysis. The boys were pleased to help the lady, even though that left them without sleep. Luckily they had 2 more hours before school and they all got some rest.

These acts of compassion, help and good-doing are what we need. The terrible winter that we had had was very difficult for all of us. Imagine how people with long-term illness felt. They were scared that they will be stuck in their houses without the help they need on a regular basis. Luckily, there are people like these New Jersey boys that will do no matter what just to help the people. Bravo boys!

Their father posted some photos of the boys that night. The comments and reactions of the people are wonderful. This ‘heroic action’ was the thing that people needed in that difficult winter period.

Mom rings bell after baby daughter’s cancer recovery in heartwarming video

Leann and Patrick Borden were eagerly waiting to meet their bundle of joy. They couldn’t wait to hold their baby and become a mam and a dad. When sweet Lillian Grace was born, she brought joy and happiness into her parents’ lives. During the first couple of months, everything seemed to be just fine with the little one, but then, doctors noticed strange and rather limited movements shown by Lillian Grace.

As they wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong, they ran some tests and sadly, discovered a huge tumor in the baby’s brain stem. The growth of the tumor was affecting Lillian Grace’s body mechanism and left her with swellings.

Source: YouTube/ Good Morning America

The only thing that seemed reasonable, despite the baby’s age, was to start chemotherapy treatments.

Fortunately, the body reacted pretty well and just after three weeks, the tumor was gone and the MRI came clean. Just in case, more test were done in the month that followed, and they all showed that Lillian Grace was ready to go home.

It was a moment to remember when the girl and her parents rang the cancer-free bell.

We are so happy it all turned for the best for this brave and adorable family. Check out the whole story in the video below and make sure you share Lillian Grace’s heartwarming journey with you friends.

Son is furious and horrified as webcam catches home worker raping his Alzheimer disease stricken 83-year-old mother

An 83-year-old woman with Alzheimer’s was sexually assaulted by a care worker at the facility home where she resided. The horrific incident was witnessed by the woman’s son who had installed a camera in his mom’s room in order to remotely monitor her health. One night, he decided to check on her and saw 52-year-old Olabamidele Olumide Bewaji assaulting her.

The son was in complete shock. He started yelling and telling Bewaji to get his hands off of his mother.

The incident took place on March 8, 2021, at the Pillars of Mankato Senior Living home, some 80 miles away from Minneapolis, The Sun reports.

The police were informed of the incident and arrived at the scene soon after. There, they found the elderly woman partially dressed and having no pants and underwear. According to New York Daily News, the woman was unaware of what had happened to her. She was “confused and did not remember” the assault.

(GSN) The son of an 83-year-old woman suffering from Alzheimer’s reportedly witnessed her being sexually assaulted by a…

Posted by The Real Gospel Spotlight on Thursday, 11 March 2021

According to Fox News, the care worker denied assaulting the elderly lady he was supposed to care for, but after he was told by the authorities that a search would be conducted, he confessed to what he did. He also confessed raping the woman in February, a month before he was caught in the act. However, he tried portraying himself as a victim, and claimed it was the woman who initiated the sexual acts.

Bewaji was charged with two felony counts of criminal sexual conduct for allegedly having sexual contact with a “mentally impaired, mentally incapacitated or physically helpless,” as per The Smoking Gun.

He was aware his victim was vulnerable and took advantage of her illness. We hope he will get the punishment he deserves.

Cute owls like you have never seen them before

Owls are often portrayed in films and books as wise creatures who are at the same time very affectionate and friendly. These nocturnal birds, who usually hunt by night, are among the best-camouflaged birds in nature.

I guess people got fascinated with them even more after J.K Rowling’s books and movies about Harry Potter who had an owl as a pet.

YouTube

Although some say that owls tend to avoid humans, the truth is that they are in fact sociable and only get aggressive if they feel threatened or if someone gets too close to their nest and their babies.

The video below, which is a compilation of cute owls, lets us see their gentle side. Some of them enjoy being kissed by humans, others have fun while taking a nice bath in the kitchen sink, and some even dance to the rhythm. All in all, owls are magnificent creatures, especially when they stare directly at you with their wide and shining eyes.

Who knew these birds could be so fun to be around? Check them out below, they will definitely make your day.

96-year-old WWII veteran weaves 400 hats for the Salvation Army

Not everyone can be part of the military, because it takes not only physical strength and devotion to be a soldier, but readiness to risk it all for the sake of your country and its people, too.

Tom Cornish is a 96-year-old veteran who is used to helping others. He served in the World War II, and even today, years after his service in the military is over, Tom still found a way to be of use to the people who put their life on the line on a daily basis.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic and the imposed lockdowns, Tom has plenty of free time. Although he has five children and many grandchildren, he is not able to see them often because of the risk of contracting the virus. He knows, however, that they are always there for him.

What Tom does is weaving warm hats for the Salvation Army. “If someone needs something, give it to them,” he says. “Volunteering does something to a person. You’re working for others.”

This veteran, who lives in an apartment in Champlin Shores, weaves one hat a day, but there are days, however, when he finishes two or even three hats.

“There’s people here that want me to sell them, but I won’t,” Tom says. “I give them to the Salvation Army.”

Source: YouTube/ KARE 11

The communications director for the Salvation Army Northern Division, Dan Furry, says Tom is an inspiration and adds, “It goes to show people there’s something that everyone can do.”

So far, Tom weaved around 400 hats, and he even gives weaving lessons to other people at his senior living complex. One of his neighbors has already created 35 hats himself.

Speaking of his father, Tom’s son Jerry told Kare11 News, “This is how he got to be 96 years old, because he’s helping everybody else. Everybody’s more important than he is, in his mind.”

Awesome job Mr. Tom, and thank you for your service.

10-year-old boy accidentally shoots himself dead while playing with a gun

A 10-year-old boy lost his life after he accidentally shot himself while playing with a gun. Teon Burwell found the weapon in the house and got curious, thus took it in his arms. Unfortunately, the gun fired and shot Teon in the arm. The bullet went through to his other arm and hit an artery, according to the boy’s grandma, Louise Shelton, who spoke to WTVR.com about the tragedy.

Teon, whom his family and friends called Tootie, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

At the time of the accident, he was with his 12-year-old brother. Richmond Police released a statement saying they are yet to discover how the boy ended up with the gun and added they are not searching for suspects and are treating the case as an accident.

His aunt, Maria Shelton, described Teon as a fun and great kid who always laughed. She also urged people to keep their weapons out of the reach of kids in hopes of tragedies like this one from happening in the future. “He should’ve never had a way to get access to a firearm at the age of 10, period,” Shelton said. “It was an accident, but he’s gone. If you have guns lock them up and keep them far away.”

Family members have identified the 10-year-old boy who was shot and killed on Richmond’s Southside Tuesday evening as…

Couple charged with torture and murder of 4-year-old daughter sentenced to 32 years in prison almost ten years later

The justice for 4-year-old Samiah Christine Cornell Downing who was severely abused by her father Ronald Dean Greer and his girlfriend Bianca Annie Mae Stanch and died as a result of the cruel treatment has finally been served.

After almost 10 years, the monsters have been sentenced to 32 years in prison but many believe the punishment doesn’t fit the crime.

The couple was charged back in 2012 for first-degree murder but the trial was delayed over and over again until Oct. 6, 2020 when they were found guilty and then sentenced in March of this year.

According to the San Bernardino County District Attorney Justin Crocker, Stanch hated her boyfriend’s daughter and did all in her power to make the little girl’s life a living hell. The father didn’t intervene and even took part in the abuse.

“Witnesses also testified that Stanch and Greer duct-taped Samiah’s wrists and ankles together on multiple occasions and left her overnight so that she could not get out to get water,” Crocker shared in a Facebook post.

In one occasion, little Samiah managed to get to the kitchen and drank the only liquid she could reach, which unfortunately was a cleaning solution. A day before she died, Samiah was beaten and forced to stay in the corner for eight hours. The abuse continued the following day when “Stanch poured a pot of boiling water on Samiah’s back and chest. Samiah was also denied water to drink during these final days of her life.”

Source: Twitter

On the night of her death, Samiah was left in the apartment with Stanch’s cousin Rayshawn Stanch while Stanch and Greer went to a restaurant.

When they got back home, the girl was already dead. It was determined she died of dehydration. She was also starved.

The three took the girl’s body, put it in the car, and buried it in a shallow grave in the desert.

“Friends, family members, and teachers testified about the sweet and happy little girl they knew and loved.”

The father claimed he wasn’t aware of the abuse his daughter suffered from the hands of his girlfriend, but evidence said otherwise.

Source: Twitter

“Unfortunately, because of the actions of her father and his girlfriend, Samiah wasn’t here to tell her own story to the jurors. Thankfully, the evidence at trial told the tragic story for her. Samiah was betrayed by the people closest to her and they have now been held accountable for that betrayal,” the deputy said.

“Torturing a child in San Bernardino County will be met with the most vigorous of prosecutions, and those responsible will be held accountable for their actions. When Samiah was murdered, our community was also greatly affected by the actions of her killers. From Samiah’s extended family, friends, and teachers, to the law enforcement officers investigating this crime, to everyone in the district attorney’s office that had a part in this case, we will always hold Samiah in our memory and our hearts,” the deputy added.

Rest in peace, Samiah.

Cancer patient left fighting for his life after being attacked while buying flowers for mom’s grave

Marvin Herring from North Carolina was diagnosed with cancer three years ago, but he has never stopped believing that things may turn for the better. After the devastating diagnosis, he rarely went out and spent most of his time home, around his two grandchildren he loves to the moon and back.

On Tuesday, Marvin decided to go visit his mother’s grave, and on the way there, he stopped to buy some flowers. Unfortunately, as he was getting inside his van, one man approached and attacked him. Marvin’s stepdaughter Cortney Locklear shared what happened with WRAL News and explained: “[The guy] came up around the back of the van that he was driving, that was parked at the front door, and yanked him out of the van. When he was yanked out, he hit the concrete, hit his head pretty hard.”

Source: Facebook

During the attack, the attacker took Marvin’s wallet and money, and left him fighting for his life. Police reported he then drove off in a silver Dodge Magnum with a black left front rim together with two other men. The injuries Marvin sustained were so severe that he ended up on a ventilator.

Courtney said how the family isn’t certain what decision to make regarding taking Marvin off life support.

“It’s just a really sad situation,” Courtney told WRAL News. “I get married this year. I really hoped that he would really continue to persevere through the cancer and be able to make it to September. But, unfortunately, we were robbed. We were robbed of many memories, and he was robbed of whatever time he had left here.”

We hope Marvin would be able to recover so that he can continue fighting his battle against cancer. In case he doesn’t make it, the attack will become a homicide investigation.

Woman tells puppy she loves him, starry-eyed French Bulldog says “I love you” back

Although dogs can’t speak, they always find a way to tell their owners how much they love them. After all, our canines are there to stay by our side through thick and thin, and that’s really how they show their emotions.

However, hearing the words “I love you” coming from the furry pals’ mouth must feel special, don’t you think so?

Source: YouTube/ Waggle TV

In the adorable video below, we see a human mommy holding her cute French Bulldog puppy in her arms telling him how much she loves him. Of course, she probably expects from him to give her a lick as a thank you for her affection towards him, but he does something truly incredible and unexpected.

Believe it or not, the Frenchie says “I love you” back.

Source: YouTube/ Waggle TV

The mom is over the moon and can’t believe her ears. She then tries making him say those cute words again, and the dog repeats them perfectly.

Although this video is one of the cutest we’ve ever seen, I still guess some dog owners would feel a bit jealous watching it.

A lot has been said of the love between Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel, and one thing we can all agree on is that what these lovebirds have is what we all look for in life. Despite not getting married, their story has been going on for 38 years and according to them, the decision not to tie the knot is what made their relationship last that long.

She then added, “You’re a wild one, brilliant, lovable, childlike, perfectly maddening, a father supreme and deeply funny! I can’t imagine my life without you at any age, Kurt Russell. You’re the catch. And you’re all mine.”

Hawn’s children also wished their Pa a very happy birthday.

Both Kate and Oliver Hudson have opened up about their relationship with Russel on many occasions and spoke of him as of the father figure in their life.

“I often wonder how different our life would have been if he never entered the picture. How different I would be. Let me fill you in,” Kate wrote on Instagram. “He’s a pick up your boot straps kinda dad. Don’t cry, shake it off you’re ok, kinda dad. Don’t let ‘em push you around you got this, kinda dad. Don’t listen to the noise you’re doing great, kinda dad. Shake those hips like no ones watching, kinda dad. Always get back on the horse, kinda dad. Never miss a show or game, kinda dad. Kids before anything, kinda dad. Work hard play hard, kinda dad. My girl can rule the world, kinda dad.”

“He’s an original. One of kind. A powerful, intelligent, talented, loyal family man,” Kate added. “He has taught me that we can all exist with immense love through our differences. And his dedication to my mother and their fight for love forever is as admirable as it gets. I love this man so much!”

Kate and Oliver are not on good terms with their biological dad who asked from them not to use his name after Oliver wished him Happy Abandonment Day on Father’s day and praised Russel, whom he considers his father.

We wish Kurt Russel a very happy birthday and many more to come. He is a very special person loved by everyone in his life.

Firefighter pays $1000 electricity bill for a boy on ventilator to keep him alive

Ryan McCuen is the man who went beyond his call of duty and showed kindness which made a difference between life and death.

This story took place a few years back, but it is so uplifting that it is worth sharing over and over again.

Source: CNN

It all happened when Ryan’s department where he works as a firefighter got what they call a “nonemergecy call.” On the other side of the line was a mother in distress who feared for her son’s life. Christy Stone explained that their electricity was cut off as they had fallen behind on payments to the local utility. Her son Troy, who suffers from muscular dystrophy and can’t breath on his on, could die if his ventilator and all the machines that keep him alive would eventually stop working.

Hearing this, Ryan decided to do what he believes anyone in his place would. He paid the family’s bill himself, all $1,023.76 of it.

Ryan didn’t want people to know what he did. It was the Clinton Township Fire Chief Michael Phy who wanted this story heard.

We are so happy there are still people like Ryan there who restore our faith in humanity. May God bless you.

8-year-old boy learns how to drive from watching YouTube videos – Takes his younger sister to McDonald’s

Something completely out of the ordinary took place a few years back in Ohio. One 8-year-old boy who loved spending time watching How to Do It YouTube videos decided he could drive his 4-year-old sister to McDonald’s to grab some cheeseburgers.

He was waiting for the right time to embark on his little adventure and got inside the car while his mom and dad took naps.

Shutterstock

Plenty of people witnessed the unusual sight, but it was the McDonald’s employees who called the police. When the little boy who was behind the wheel handed in his piggy bank trying to pay for the food, the cashiers were convinced it was some sort of prank and waited for the adults to get out of the vehicle, but when that didn’t happen, they knew they had to alert the authorities.

Patrolman Jacob Koehler told the Times that the boy drove around a mile and a half and “obeyed all traffic laws.” Further, the officer said that the young driver “didn’t hit a single thing on the way there. It was unreal!”

No charges were filed and the kids were treated the cheeseburgers they ordered.

Trophy hunters pose next to a dead lion, few moments later karma strikes back

Most people find killing of innocent animals repellent. There are also those, however, who enjoy hunting and pay huge amounts of money to slay gorgeous animals like lions, elephants, and rhinos. These people find hunting entertaining and it is estimated that American trophy hunters import over 126,000 wildlife trophies per year on average from overseas, according to The Humane Society of the United States.

Back in 2015, one specific killing caused rage at people from all over the world, that of Cecil the lion who died at the hands of Minnesota dentist Walter Palmer. The incident took place in Zimbabwe and although Palmer had a hunting permit given by the government, which took big sum of money from him, it was reported how he first wounded the animal with a bow and arrow and “finished the job” the following day, which meant Cecil suffered. The loss of Cecil, who was much loved by many, “resulted in international media attention, caused outrage among animal conservationists, criticism by politicians and celebrities and a strong negative response against Palmer.”

YouTube

This incident, however, didn’t stop other hunters from killing different animals, some of which on the list of endangered species.

The sad thing is that the rest of us aren’t really doing anything to stop this, except for feeling sorry for the creatures who lost their lives.

A lion from the video below is taking things into his own paws after his friend was killed by trophy hunters. As the killers are getting ready to take a photo with their trophy another lion comes from behind and starts chasing them. In the next moment, we see the lion getting back so we assume he didn’t hurt the killers, but at least he scared them to death.

People are commenting how “karma strikes back” and that “they got what they deserved.”

Take a look at the video below and share it with animal lovers.

McDonald’s employee jumps through window to save off-duty police officer and her kids

The day started as any other for South Florida McDonald’s employee Pedro Viloria, 22, but soon, something no one expected coming happened.

Viloria was serving a mom and her two kids through the drive-thru window. The woman paid for the order and everything seemed just fine, but when he went to hand her the food, he noticed she wasn’t breathing properly.

In the next moment, the car started moving and it was obvious the woman lost control of the vehicle. The kids could be heard screaming, “Mother, mother stop it what are you doing!” according to Viloria.

Source: YouTube/Inside Edition

The brave worker knew he had to act quickly in order to avoid a tragedy from taking place, so he jumped through the window and put himself in front of the car. Speaking to Inside Edition, Viloria explained: “I thought if these kids lose their mother today it would have been tragic. If I would have had to die to save that woman, I would have done it.”

Another person who was at the restaurant at the time also rushed to help.

The woman in the car happened to be an off-duty officer. She was transferred to the hospital where she was offered further help, but no other details have been revealed.

Asked why he did what he did, Viloria said, “My brain was on hero mode.”

Source: YouTube/Inside Edition

The owner of the local McDonald’s told NBC Miami of Viloria: “He is an excellent employee, so it didn’t surprise me that he took immediate action and jumped through a window to help save this woman. And he was not the only member of the team that played a pivotal role in ensuring she received the medical attention she needed. A second employee, who asked to remain unnamed, assisted with CPR.”

We hope the woman will soon recover and we praise the young man for his incredible heroic action.

9-year-old boy offers free mowing services to the elderly, disabled, veterans, and single moms

It’s not every day that we see young children getting involved in helping the community. The fact is that most youngsters are busy studying, taking up activities they enjoy doing, like sports, and hanging out with their friends. But 9-year-old Jesse Ward from Warner Robins, Georgia is not your average kid. This young man decided to spend his free time completing a very unique and useful challenge set up by Rodney Smith from Alabama.

The nationwide 50 yard challenge asks from kids aged 7 to 17 to beautify 50 yards of members of their communities. So far, around 700 young people have responded to it.

Jesse is hoping to complete the challenge by the end of October.

He offers his free services to single moms, disabled people, the elderly and veterans.

Smith’s organization, Raising Men Lawn Care Service gives the kids t-shirts, earplugs, and safety glasses. Just like the ones Jesse is wearing on the photo.

Speaking to 11Alive.com, this young man said: “Some people, they can’t cut their grass, they have to hire somebody to do it. I’m doing this for free.” Jesse reaches to those people who need his services through the Facebook page his mom Jennifer set up.

“He enjoys doing it. Just because he feels good about himself doing it, like paying it forward for someone, so it makes me feel good that it makes him happy,” the proud mom said.

Woman at Dunkin’ Donuts gets angry after cashier tells her that a dozen means 12 not 50

Different people are good at different things, and the fact is that we can never be experts on everything, but possessing basic knowledge about things is simply a must.

A woman waiting in line at Dunkin’ Donuts seems to be lacking general knowledge as she gets into an argument with the cashier over what “a dozen” means. Apparently, when she asked for a dozen donuts, she expected 50, no more, no less!

When the employee tried to explain to her that she’s wrong and that a dozen stands for 12, she got angry.

The person filming her posted the video on TikTok and wrote: “Karen and her “dozen” munchkins,” as the name Karen now stands for someone who tends to get into fights with those around them.

We are sure this video will make you laugh, and if you have ever stumbled upon a “Karen” yourself, you’ll understand what this cashier had to deal with.

Firefighter saves baby’s life by giving her CPR while swiftly climbing down the ladder

For them, saving lives is just another day on the job, but for us, firefighters are our everyday heroes who many times put their own lives on the line for the sake of saving someone else’s.

A video taken some 20 years ago of two firefighters saving a baby from a burning building emerged recently and people praise the hard work and the dedication of the firefighters everywhere.

Source: Facebook/Fairborn Fire Department History

It shows a home that had gone up in flames on Hebble Avenue in Fairborn, Ohio, and a mother in distress and in anticipation of seeing her child being taken out to safety. As she’s looking at the two firefighters, Bob Swick and Scott Lewis, she finally notices Lewis at the window with baby Chelsea. Swick then takes the little one in his arms and shows incredible presence of mind.

Without even thinking twice, he gets down the ladder backwards while holding Chelsea and performing CPR.

Sweet Chelsea was rushed to the hospital and stayed there for a week because she inhaled an unhealthy amount of the smoke.

Thank you Swick and Lewis. You are a proof that not all heroes wear capes. You can take a look at the incredible video by the Fairborn Fire Department History below.

Abused and starved 11-year-old boy kept in a basement for years “cried every night and prayed to die”

Brothers Eddie Carter and Ethan Kelly were over the moon when they were finally adopted back in 2007. Little did they know, however, that their life will turn into a living hell under the care of their new parents, Richard and Cynthia Kelly.

The boys were kept locked in the basement, beaten, starved, and intimidated, while everyone else was living in the house.

Around a year after the adoption was complete, the abusive couple decided to give Eddie away, but sadly, his brother left in the house of horror and experienced the unimaginable. During the court hearing against his abusers, Ethan recalled how he was forced to spend 23 hours a day in the basement. There was a camera that didn’t work there, but Richard and Cynthia convinced the boy that they were watching his every move.

Ethan was severely bitten with belts and wooden paddles and was forced to hit his head against the wall. His fragile body was full of open wounds on which the two psychopaths would put salt and alcohol. In the food they gave him, the Kelly’s would often put very hot sauce and made poor Ethan run laps around the house, as reported by AL.com.

“This wasn’t the dream. I cried every night and prayed for Jesus to end it all,” Ethan said in court, as reported by New York Post. “They told me I was a bad child. They told me no one loved me or would ever love me.”

Ethan’s suffering only came to light when he was brought to hospital one day. He was adopted when he was just 11, and was 14 at the time he was seen by the doctors who were left in complete shock by the severity of his health condition. Ethan only weighted 55 pounds.

The Kellys defended themselves by saying that they didn’t mean to hurt him, they only did “what we thought was best.”

Ethan is now an 18-year-old man who is studying at Jefferson County high school. Four years after he was taken to hospital and the story about his life came to light, he faced Richard and Cynthia at court and said: “I’m not who I used to be. I’m not even who I was supposed to be. I lived the story of Cinderella with no happy ending.”

The abusers were only given 2 years in prison.”It would be somewhere in the realm of 20 years to life if I weren’t constrained by the law. But I am,” said Shelby County Circuit Judge William H. Bostick.

As for Ethan, he decided it would be for the best if he left his past behind and do all in his power to move on. As reported by AL.com, his last words to the people who made his life miserable were: “Even though you’ll never say, ‘I’m sorry,’ I forgive you.”

Two-month-old baby girl is chatting with her dad and we can’t get enough

Dads and daughters! The bond created between them stars from the moment the little ones are welcomed into this world and lasts forever. No matter if some argue against it, the fact is that the love between dads and daughters can’t be compared to any other.

If you don’t trust us, just a single glance as baby Arabella and her daddy Zac is enough to convince you otherwise.

Zac is holding his 2-month-old girl in his arms and the two are having the cutest conversation ever. We are glad the mom decided to put this on tape. In fact, the family is taking a bunch of videos of their kids and upload them on their YouTube channel “Sophie & Boys,” and no matter how much we like the content they share, this video is definitely our favorite.

Although Arabella is way too young to be able to speak, it looks as though she is answering back to her dad. We are so sad we don’t understand a “word” she says, but from what we can see, she’s going to grow up into a chatty young lady.

Ricky Gervais calls for trophy hunting to end, calling it “humanity at its very worst”

If Ricky Gervais is one of your favorite comedians, his views on poaching and trophy hunting will make you love him even more. Although he is best known for making us laugh because of his incredible sense of humor, this time he is discussing a relatively serious issue and he defends his opinions using language and examples that will make it easy for everyone to understand his point.

He has a word or two to tell the animal killers who, no matter how ironical it sounds, see themselves as conservators of the wildlife.

Speaking to The Sun, this incredible man known for his infamous Golden Globes hosting gigs and a prominent supporter of the Campaign to Ban Trophy Hunting says: “Why are we even having to make the case for banning trophy hunting in the year 2020? It’s hard to think of anything more sickening or senseless than killing an animal for entertainment, then hacking it up so you can display its body parts and brag about it.”

After the killing of Cecil the lion prompted outrage in 2015, everyone believed that trophy hunting would somehow decline, but sadly, it wasn’t the case.

Today, more than five years after that incident, Gervais is again taking a stand and dubs trophy hunting as “humanity at its very worst.”

The Campaign to End Trophy Hunting reports that the number of lions killed in the wild during the last decade by trophy hunters exceeds 10,000. According to them, the number of lions left is only 20,000 and they are now at-risk species.

Luckily, there are some great news coming in as Prime Minister Boris Johnson has “renewed a pledge to ban trophy hunters bringing their sick souvenirs back to Britain,” as reported by the Mirror.

Other celebrities have also join the cause.
