Oldest Mall in U.S. turned into apartment homes

Finding the perfect place for living isn’t really the easiest thing. The rent is pretty high, especially if you want to get yourself a downtown apartment. As the cities become overcrowded, the demand for affordable, but yet cozy and useful home is constantly increasing. All this made Evan Granoff, the owner of the oldest shopping mall in America, to convert the closed shops into livable and affordable space. Needless to say, people are falling in love with the tiny apartments.

Built back in 1829, The Arcade closed after struggling to fill its cramped commercial spaces in 2008. The building that is now turned into a growing housing trend of micro apartments has been through numerous restorations throughout the years and was designated a national landmark in 1976.

As the concept of living in a shoebox started becoming trendy, Granoff decided it was about time for him to introduce it to the people of Providence. The overall number of living spaces inside the building is 48 and their size varies between 225 to 800 square feet. With the upper floors now being loft apartments, the building’s owner retained the retail spaces on the ground floor. There are numerous shops offering food, coffee, and even designer clothes inside the household.

Each of the homes comes with the most basic necessities such as a bed with drawers, cushioned bench/seating, refrigerator, and shelves. However, as The Arcade falls into a rooming house, cooking facilities are not allowed. The good thing is that microwaves are not considered cooking devices so tenants may use them if they choose to.

Some of the tenants share their stories of why they opted for a tiny home. It’s important to mention that most of them don’t really spend that much time at home. I guess these lofts are perfect for these people exactly.

One of the people who are willing to show us their home is Dr. Karim. Her tight schedule, the night shifts, and the fact that she is constantly traveling internationally makes her the perfect tenant of this perfect home. She also says how not having a stove doesn’t really bother her.

Another tenant is Sharon Kinnier who uses the loft only when she’s working in a Providence lab formulating organic cosmetics as she spends the rest of the time with her husband in Washington D.C.

Tenants can choose to pay for a personal Wi-Fi connection or watch TV in the common area. The great thing about the building is that there is natural light that pours into the space to help make tenants feel warm.

It’s amazing how many people are interested in getting one of these tiny homes. You may be surprised by there is even a list of people waiting to move to The Arcade. The tiniest units rent for $550 per month, almost half the city average.

Creative couple builds adorable 80-square-foot guest house – They did it with just $700

Imagine getting your piece of paradise for just $700. If you think we speak nonsense than you should definitely check out this amazing project a couple from Missoula, Montana started.

Using only re-purposed materials, photographer Alla Ponomareva and her husband Garrett built the coziest and most adorable tiny place. The plans from Derek “Deek” Diedricksen they used cost them around $1,200.

The house is shaped in the form of the letter A and is totally amazing both on the outside and in the inside. It has a huge deck, large windows, solar panels, and translucent wall.

The best thing is that during summer time, this tiny space expands by pushing the see-through wall. It definitely offers pure enjoyment.

Once the wall expands, it becomes a patio roof and having a glass of wine, or reading a book outside gives you feeling of calmness and freshness.

“When the wall is up, its a whole different experience. Luckily, Montana has almost no mosquitos to speak of in the summer time, so there’s no need for a mosquito net,” Alla says on her blog.

The interior is full of vivid colors that add to the appealing looks of the place.

“Be happy, enjoy the little things,” a sign reads above the window.

I am sure everyone would like to be a guest of the Ponomavera’s family and spend a night or two at this beautiful cottage.

The two separate sofas can serve the purpose of beds for sleeping in during the night.

The cottage might be small but has enough storage space to fit all your most valuable belongings. It doesn’t have a full kitchen but it does have some of the most basic necessities.

The large water jug can be used for washing dishes, or brushing teeth, and the Coleman portable burner can be used for cooking simple meals or warming coffee or tea.

The hammocks only add to the whole experience and let you enjoy the fresh air to the fullest while relaxing.

“If you haven’t seen the stars in Montana, then you haven’t truly seen the stars…” Alla says.

Can sleep two people comfortably, three if they’re in a sleeping bag on the floor.

Recently, a Facebook user posted a photo of an elderly woman on a train clutching a pole for support while some younger people are sitting and staring at their phones. This sparked outrage at the community members who agree how young generations lack good manners and don’t stick to the basic moral values that are supposed to be followed in order for this world to become a better place. There are those, however, who believe that we don’t know what was really going on on the train and whether someone offered their seat or not.

The person who posted the photo wrote the caption “No Respect” and no matter if you believe this is right or wrong, this speaks a lot about failed humanity.

Many took to social media to judge the person who took the photo saying they should have done something regarding the situation the lady found herself in instead of just taking photos for gathering likes and comments. A 16 year old teen commented how he would always offer his seat to an elderly person the moment they enter the train. He says how he would have done the same thing for this poor lady who is obviously having hard time standing on her feet.

According to some, this all have to do with how we raise our children and how much time we spend telling them how the elderly should be paid ultimate respect. However, there are divided opinions regarding this too. As one woman says, “My son is 7 years old I just asked him what is wrong with this picture and he said the lady mommy and those two with the headphones not giving their seat to her. Because she’s older They are rude mommy,” another person adds: “If he’s 7, he’s at the perfect age to teach him not to make assumptions based on limited information. He’s assuming they’re rude but doesn’t know if they’ve already offered their seats, if she is standing because she’s about to get off, if there are open seats out of view, etc.”

A person named Heather says how we are all judgmental without knowing the whole story behind the photo. She says it’s very unlikely that no single person offered their seat. She assumes how the person posting the picture aims at people saying bad things for the future generations, including inciting hatred.

Sydney Trains told Daily Mail: “Sydney Trains encourages all of its passengers to observe appropriate transport etiquette including respecting elderly, disabled or pregnant customers by offering up their seats.”

BBC on the other hand makes an assumption that sometimes people won’t offer their seat to someone else not because they are selfish but because they fear the consequences that actually stop them from getting up and offering their seats to someone who needs it more than they do.

Although selfishness is to be blamed for this type of rude behavior by the train passengers, Dr. Oliver Scott Curry, an expert in human behavior, based at the University of Oxford believes that it’s also a result of buck-passing. That means every person believes that other one would offer their seat and say to themselves, “let someone else stand up, why should it be me?”

“There’s a fear of getting it wrong, of seeming patronizing or thinking someone is a charity case. It doesn’t hurt for the person needing help to ask for it.” According to Dr. Curry many times it happens for passengers to get competitive and offer their seat in order to show they are more of gentleman than the others.

Sometimes people believe they could be making a mistake if they choose to offer their seat. Let’s say a lady just had lunch and her tummy appears big only because she ate and not because she’s pregnant which may lead for the person offering the seat to find themselves in an awkward situation. That is why many people simply avoid eye contact with other passengers. So, in case you want to offer your seat to someone without getting into any form of contact, you can just stand up and if they really need to sit down they’d do it.

Doctors discover surprise inside pastor who donated kidney

Who would knew that this would happen?

In North Carolina, one man’s generous act has ended up saving his own life despite helping another. It was Pastor Tim Jones, who wanted to donate his kidney to help a man he befriended at a church fundraiser last fall. Don Herbert, who is also a former professional wrestler turned gospel singer, had been suffering from kidney failure which required a kidney donation.

“I wanted to give him a chance at life, I wanted to give him hope. I prayed for peace with it and a couple of days later God gave me peace. I told my wife we’re going to do this,” said Jones.

He went for testing, and was a match for Herbert! After many preliminary tests and procedures, the transplant was finally scheduled at Duke University Medical Center – and it was a success. Plus, the operation not only saved Herbert’s life, but Jones’s as well.

Jones’s surgery spanned for 6 hours, twice as long as expected as doctors had found an aneurysm in one of his arteries. It had never shown up in any of the preoperative tests – until now.

The chances of finding a donor were very slim due to the many recipants on the waiting list for a new kidney. Herbert had met local pastor Tim Jones during a church craft and bake sale. Don struck up a conversation and shared his love of gospel music, leading the two to quickly become fast friends. Now Herbert is in trouble.

After a medical check-up at the Duke University Medical Center back in early November, 56-year-old Herbert was diagnoised with Stage 4 Kidney Disease. Both of his kidneys were failing, but that was not the only issue. He also needed a heart catheterization, which caused him to be removed from the hospital’s kidney waiting list. This news left both Herbert and his wife Belinda greatly depressed.

Belinda wrote about her husband’s plight on their Facebook page, in the form of a personal plea to anyone who would give Don a chance at another organ donation. Jones had been browsing Facebook in the afternoon, and came across Belinda’s post.

Tim and Sherry then invited both Don and Belinda Herbert to their Salisbury home located in Settlers Grove. The couple informed them about Don’s whole medical history and experiences. It was then Jones told Herbert he wanted to donate one of his kidneys to him, as a gift. It was a perfect match which saved 2 lives.

“What if it was me? Or what if it was you? How many people would be lining up, waiting to give us a kidney?”

On the other hand, Jones has expressed that he was in fact, not nervous at all for the procedure. “Things are risky for me, I understand that. But they are more risky for Don. My wife kids me and says, ‘You act like you’re giving him a piece of gum,’” he laughs.

Teacher Informs Man After Taking A Photo In McDonald’s: “I Hope You Know, You’re Going Viral”

This is incredibly moving!

The kindness of strangers is very rare, but valued by society. This notion has highlighted the friendship between a man from Indiana and an elderly woman – they became a hot topic on social media! The man in question was Eric Haralson. He was in the middle of his lunch in November 2018 at a McDonald’s outlet when suddenly, a woman whom he did not know personally had approached him. The old woman then asked Eric if he would mind if she sat down at the very same table he was sitting at, just for some company.

“She said she just wanted a little conversation, because no one likes to eat alone.”

Eric said: “No, not at all.” After speaking to her, he even proceeded to clear the table and a seat, for her to sit down. During their friendly chat, Eric learnt that the woman was named Jan, and that she lived in an apartment by herself, located not far from the McDonald’s itself.

Midway, Amanda Craft told Eric: “You’re such a gentleman. I hope you know you’re going viral.” Craft was a teacher who had been also dining at the restaurant. What Eric did not expect was that had taken a photo of them and posted it on her Facebook page – and the picture went viral almost instantly. Eric walked her to her car after lunch, and talked for 20 minutes more. The pair even exchanged phone numbers!

“It was so heartwarming to see this man and this older lady sit together, and eat. They didn’t know each other, but he was so kind. The woman had a contagious laugh, and my friends and I couldn’t help but laugh along,” Craft says in an interview.

Man Learns Of His Fate After Beating Daughter’s Rapist To Death

In Shiner, one Texan father had beaten a man to death who was in the midst of raping and molesting his daughter. The court has ruled that he would not be charged with murder, due to a 911 tape released. The father had been recorded, frantically pleading for help over the phone before the man’s death.

The Lavaca County grand jury had declined to hold the 23-year-old father responsible for the death of Jesus Mora Flores, a 47-year-old ranch helper hired to help with the horses on the property.
Both the prosecutors and the police decided for it to be so after reviewing the evidence provided. The father was ruled to be authorized to use deadly force, in order to protect his daughter. The incident happened back on 9 June, on the family ranch itself.

The attack happened on the family’s ranch which was located along a quiet and two-lane county road, between Shiner and Yoakum. Mr. Flores had been described to be forcibly carrying the man’s daughter into a secluded area before attempting to rape her.
Running toward his daughter’s screams, the father pulled Mr. Flores off and proceeded to inflict several blows to the man’s head and neck area in anger – which proved to be fatal. Mr. Flores’s pants and underwear were also found to be pulled down, while authorities were examining his lifeless body.

The now 5-year-old girl was taken to a hospital for a medical examination. Both the overwhelming forensic evidence left behind by Mr Flores and eyewitness accounts supported the young father’s story – his daughter had been sexually molested. The girl’s father was never arrested, and the killing was ruled as a homicide instead.

Mom surrenders newborn twins to fire station under safe haven law

No one really knows why would a parent, especially a mother, leave their newborn baby and refuse to take care of it. The sad reality is that many women decide to give their bundles of joy for adoption, and the reasons for doing so are numerous.

Recently, a mother of two healthy twins made a decision to surrender her babies to the San Bernardino Fire Station in California.

The official report by the Fire Department, which they also shared on their Facebook page, states how the babies were clean and fed and brought to the local hospital for further check-up minutes after their arrival at the station. The firefighters offered the mother medical assistance too, but she refused any further help. She was also told how she could come back and take her children back withing 14 days if she wishes so. This period of two weeks is regulated by the safe surrender state law.

“This is exactly why the Safe Surrender program was created,” said Fire Chief Mark Hartwig. “This young mother did the right thing by bringing her babies to the fire station. Regardless of your circumstances, the Safe Surrender program is a viable and loving option—no questions asked.”

This law known as California’s Safe Haven Law allows new mothers or other people, to surrender a baby to a designated “safe-surrender site” within 72 hours of birth. The baby and the person bringing the newborn both get coded ankle bracelets in case the parent changes their mind and wants the baby back.

After the medical examination and treatment, the babies are placed to foster homes, or pre-adoptive homes.

This policy of placing the baby at a safe site allows mothers who are not able to take care of their little ones to get them to a place where they know they will be given proper care and later a forever home. This prevents babies to be abandoned and end up dead which is punishable by law.

From 1999 to 2018, 3,524 newborns were surrendered using Safe Haven laws, 1,397 newborns were illegally abandoned, 773 newborns were found dead, and 462 newborns were found alive, according to National Safe Haven Alliance.

“You may have heard stories about babies being left in dumpsters, public toilets, or other unsafe locations. The parents abandoning their babies may have been under severe emotional or financial stress. The mothers may have hidden their pregnancies, fearful of what would happen if their families found out. Because they were afraid and felt they had nowhere to turn for help, they abandoned their baby,” according to the California Department of Social Services website.

This law that protects both the biological parent and the baby was first introduced in California in 2001 and was formally signed in 2006. This law resulted in 931 babies being surrendered in California in the year of 2017.

In Los Angeles County, 151 babies have been given to the safe places since 2001.

“One hundred and forty-nine families have been blessed, 149 mothers made the right decision, 149 children have the right to grow up and be whatever they want to be because of the love and the care of the safe-surrender families,” Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe said in a video posted to the L.A. County Safe Surrender Facebook page.

All haven-safe sites have signs displayed. This law resulted in many baby lives being saved, as mothers choose to place them in these places instead of simply abandoning them.

They say apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and these skillful mother and son prove that right. As we’ve brought to you numerous stories of the amazing transformations of Christopher Hopkins, the Makeover Guy, we now present to you his lovely, talented mother Joann Hopkins.

As this beautiful lady aged, her cute face got filled with some wrinkles. It’s not like it affected her stunning looks that much, but using make-up, she gets to look as fabulous as she did in her younger days. Joann admits she loves wearing make up, even while sleeping.

She only applies new fresh look in the morning, after she thoroughly cleans her face. She knows how wearing make up during the night isn’t really a good thing to do, but she can’t help but look amazing all the time.

As for you, we guess you should always opt to take the make-up off your face before you go to bed and avoid skin damage, acne, and even premature skin aging. And if you really can’t go make-up free, you can simply apply it before you start the day and let your face clean while sleeping.

Joann however, has flawless skin and this routine of hers didn’t affect her face that much. She’s really aging well.

She doesn’t care if people believe she puts too much make-up because as she says, she really wants to look and feel young. And we have to be honest, with her make-up on, she does look many years younger. Everyone should be able to feel great in their skin and that’s exactly what this lovely lady is trying to achieve.

Joann is a real professional and possesses some crazy skills. She basically transforms into her younger self thanks to some eye shadows, the right foundation, and a lipstick which is on point. One may notice how one side of her face is slightly higher, but Joann manages to cover that perfectly. It’s no wonder Christopher is the god of make-up himself. He had a great teacher.

Kate Hudson And Goldie Hawn Dance On The Ellen Show

Whether one loves her or not, no one misses Ellen DeGeneres’ show. She is a comedian and a host who is really hard to beat, simply the best of the best. Welcoming some of the most famous celebrities who open their hearts while sitting opposite the goddess of the talk shows, as well covering numerous human interest stories, she makes people fond of her and the whole concept of the daytime show she made the most popular ever.

This time, however, Ellen let someone else take her role of a host, and to be honest, we did like her choice. Being part of the show before, these mother and daughter were up to the task, and we won’t be surprised if they start their own show in the future. Kate Hudson and her mother Goldie Hawn were the captains that day and they did a remarkable job. Lovely Kate, who was wearing a bohemian kaftan with high heeled boots and sporting short hair with tight waves, and her mom who is always late were greeted by the cheering crowd with a loud applause.

Ever since The Ellen Show first aired on TV, September 8, 2003 it became peoples’ favorite. After The Oprah Winfrey Show went off the air on May 2011, Ellen’s show filled the void. Her show surpassed every other show of this type in terms of awards, winning 59 Daytime Emmy Awards, and 17 People’s Choice Awards.

Ellen’s great sense of humor fills the show with lots of laughter and fun time, so it’s no surprise each episode is waited by millions in anticipation. What makes her show special is that at the end of each series, the host gets to dance with her audience, which I believe is their most favorite part and an amazing experience.

Katie and Goldie did exactly that. They danced with the crowd and they loved it. Dj Twitch who is in charge of the music never fails to choose the right music and rhythm. Goldie has started her career as a dancer and that’s why she’s so good at it. She got her first job as a dancer for a theater show across Disneyland. After this, her career went upwards, with her getting a job in the CBS sitcom Good Morning, World in 1967. She then started playing in movies and became one of the most famous Hollywood actresses of all time.

Besides their dancing skills, they filled the show with fun stories such as those of Kate’s older brother who spoke of the times when they were kids and their mother embarrassed them, which the audience enjoyed listening to.

These mother and daughter we love so much later took a Warner Bros studio tour, and they had so much fun that the crowd couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

Pentatonix sings haunting “Sound of Silence” quintet

The most famous America’s a cappella group Pentatonix are here with another out-of-this-world performance of a classic song. The group has been part of the music scene ever since they won the third season of the NBC’s The Sing-Off. During the show that took place in 2011, Pentatonix showed the country something the audience had never seen before. Amazingly talented and skilled young people whose music touched the hearts of many.

This time, however, they are treating the world with a rendition of a song many tried singing before, but besides the original performance by Simon & Garfunkel, this group’s presentation of “The Sound of Silence” is the best so far. If you know how this exceptional piece of music sounds sang by two incredible voices, now imagine how powerful would it sound with five vocals that blend together just perfectly.

What makes this group so special are the members’ incredible skills of combining beatboxing, riffing, percussion, and basslines into the melody and still sound as they have real voices.

Granny cooks to the music while the kids secretly film. She proceeds to do the most hysterical moves

Music is inseparable part of our lives. Whenever we feel down, we seek comfort in our favorite tune and lyrics that trigger lots of emotions. The same thing happens when we are pleased and happy. We often tend to celebrate our achievements rocking some crazy dance moves while our music is on.

The following video is definitely going to cheer you up. Mama C, as the family calls their granny, is a cool elderly lady who just knows how to have fun while working around the house. No chore is ever hard for this loving woman to handle as long as she has her music on. While she’s at the kitchen, preparing some mouth-watering dish for her family, Vanilla Ice’s smash hit “Ice Ice Baby” is on, and she can’t help but dance along the rhythm. She breaks out some serious moves, sliding and boogieing around the place, without breaking a sweat. Mama C didn’t stop dancing even when she had to stir the pot.

She doesn’t really care if they film her, because she’s confident in what she has to show. At one moment she invites her grandson to join her in, but he’s way too shy to get in front of the camera. Or, maybe he knows he can’t keep up with his granny’s dancing talent. Well, this lady wouldn’t mind if she gets a no from the boy because her little black dog is there to be her dancing partner. At least this cute pup is happy to be joining Mama C.

This fierce lady knows how to make the most of life. It’s amazing how she finds beauty in everyday things, like cooking lunch. No grumpy faces, no bad mood. Seattle woman dies from rare amoeba after using neti pot

Back in 2018, a woman from Seattle who was thought to have a brain tumor was admitted to hospital. The doctors believed it was for the best if she undergoes a surgery. However, during the operation, the medical staff realized they were actually removing dead brain tissue.

What caused this condition, which later led to the 69-year-old woman’s passing, left doctors overwhelmed. They are now warning others to take extra precautions.

They are convinced how the woman had been infected by a deadly amoeba that lives in warm soil and water and gradually kills brain cells. If you wonder how she contracted it, the answer is through her neti pot. It was later reported how she used it to help it with her sinuses for more than a year. The type of water she used to fill the neti pot, which was likely tap water, led to her contracting the dangerous amoeba.

Although this is something very rare, it does happens, like in this woman’s case.

Rottweiler refuses to take his meds so he plays dead to get out of it

Little kids throwing tantrums for no apparent reason and refusing to take their medications when they are sick is something we stumble upon more often than we would like to. Now imagine having to cope with a pup when it comes to handling a similar situation.

Brutus is a sweet dog who unfortunately has to take lots of meds because of his condition. He suffers from arthritis and without the pills the doctors prescribed him he would be in more pain. The thing is that he simply hates them and his owner has hard time making him swallow all those pills.

Brutus’ owner has tried everything he could think of to get the puppy take his medicines. The first thing that came to his mind was to reward him for being a good boy but most of the time it’s all in vain.

“Bud, every time you take your meds we go outside and play,”

the owner would coax the dog into consuming the tiny discs.

Even if the dog’s owner somehow manages to make Brutus open his mouth, the hardest part is to make him swallow the pills he would otherwise just keep on his tongue trying to spit them.

Brutus, however, isn’t only sweet and adorable, but very smart too. He had found an incredible way of getting out of this tricky situation. How, you ask? Using his amazing acting skills, and playing dead.

“He just puts them in his mouth and he won’t eat them,” Brutus’s owner explained into the camera. “If I put it in a piece of food, he’ll chew it up and spit it out – he knows. I’ve never seen him do this, though.”

This is yet another of his tactics.

“He’ll stick them in between his teeth and then kind of tilt his head back,” the owner shared. “Most of the time he’ll just eventually swallow them on accident.”

His owner knows how much Brutus hates the pills, but he’s also aware how he has to take them if he doesn’t want his condition to worsen. When he was just a pup, Brutus was taken from the breeder where he suffered an injury. This left him unable to walk, but his life turned for the better after he met his current owner.

According to USA Today, his new family did everything in their power to ease Brutus’ life. They even raised the money for a corrective surgery on his paws which enabled him to walk again. Besides his struggles and unwillingness to swallow all those pills, he is one really happy dog.

Brutus’ life and the ordeal he had to go through serve as an example and an inspiration that we should never ever quit trying. He went a long way. Way to go pup.

Dad sends baby girl a special bear one month into deployment

Nothing ever beats father-daughter relationship. Dads would always go an extra mile for their little princesses they love to the moon and back, and the girls would always look to their fathers for guidance.

Drew is a part of the military and a loving father of adorable Pia. When he was told he was going to be deployed and away from home for long eight months, he knew his sweet daughter would miss him a lot, and that made him sad. So, this amazing father came up with an awesome idea. He made for Pia a teddy bear with a special voice recording inside. He knew the toy would come as comfort in the days to come. Drew asked his wife to give their daughter the gift one month after he leaves home.

When the time for the present to be handed to Pia came, her mom was overly excited and couldn’t wait for her daughter’s reaction. When she saw the bear, Pia felt really happy, but the real surprise was revealed once she got to press the bear’s paw. Out of the blue, this sweet little girl could hear her father’s voice saying, “Hi, P. I love you. I’ll see you soon.” She started screaming “Daddy! Daddy!” and we all agree that her reaction is the sweetest ever.

Drew and his wife Kelly are expecting another baby girl. She is due to give birth four months prior her husband’s arrival home. It’s sad he would miss the bundle of joy’s birth, but we are certain the baby girl would be lucky to have a loving father like Drew. However, until that moment comes, Pia is his most important girl in the whole world.

If you offer a toddler a healthy snack like broccoli, you will probably get a big no, no for an answer. But if you opt to treat them with some cupcakes, ice-cream, or candy, they are going to love you to the moon and back. Many times, telling your young child how sweets are not really the best choice, or how they are not allowed to have any before dinner, they will certainly not agree with what you are saying.

This sweet girl’s father, Macario Aegeus, noticed how some of the cupcakes were missing. He wondered who could the “thief” be before he decided to confront his little girl. The “interrogation” soon turned into one of the sweetest father-daughter bonding activities we’ve ever seen. Oh, this is definitely too sweet to handle.

The father asks his sweet daughter whether she is aware how there is a cupcake thief in the house. The sweet girl doesn’t even try to defend herself and readily admits taking four of them. What follows is both cute and hilarious. The father decides to “punish” the thief with some jail time, but she doesn’t like the idea and starts running. He starts chasing her and the two pretend to be a cop and a robber. A game we played a lot when we were young. One of the best things is when daddy speaks on the radio, giving a cute description of the suspect.

These father and daughter really know how to have fun. Plus, they made our day too so we are glad he decided to put the whole thing on tape. It would be awesome when they watch this a couple of years later when she will be all grown up and “old” for any kid’s games.

His name is Frederik The Great, and he’s the world’s most handsome horse

There is something in their physical stature and elegant movements that makes horses appealing to the human kind. For me personally, they stand for freedom and beauty, and I am certain many will agree how the relation between people and horses is pretty much like the one we have we dogs. Horses stood by man’s side since the beginning of time, and are one of God’s most beautiful creations.

However, there are some horses that really stand out from the rest. Frederik the Great is a Friesian Stallion whose long, illustrious locks and his toned body make him one of the most handsome horses in the world. This beauty even has a Facebook page dedicated to him and around 26,000 followers who admire his looks every day.

It’s amazing how his long, black hair is waiving in the wind as he is graciously galloping around the fields.

His owners say,

“Frederik is considered one of the most Photographic Friesians in the world, his beautiful Photographs taken by the amazing Photographer Cally Matherly has been admired by millions worldwide.”

They call him “the Labrador in hooves” because of his gentle personality.

His breeder is located in the Ozarks. Frederik, very often, takes part in various shows and treats people with his beauty.

According to the breeder, the Friesian Stallion has almost gone extinct three times which makes Frederik a rare one after all!

Dog thrown from a bridge with mouth taped shut thanks the man who saved him

That night, a guy named Bob Hoelter did something different. He would always drive 2 miles to the local store, but not this time. It was as though something made him walk instead of getting in his car. He now calls that force “an act of divine intervention” and we do believe he’s quite right.

“I usually drive. That night I decided I needed some exercise,” Hoelter said.

On his way to the store there is a bridge he has to cross over. And it was exactly where he heard the noise that would change one life forever.

It was a sound of pain and despair and Hoelter knew something was terribly wrong.

“I was looking at the water and the land, but I don’t see anything, but I hear it,” he said. “I walked back to land and I walked around and looked around.”

He wouldn’t just let the place before thoroughly examine every corner in hopes of locating the poor soul who was obviously in need of help. He even got on his hands and knees just to make sure he doesn’t miss the help seeker in case they were under the bridge.

“I get my flashlight out because I always carry a flashlight with me,” Hoelter said. “I got to the bottom. I finally see him!”

There was a tiny puppy, scared and trembling. Its eyes were looking straight at Hoelter’s, as though they were begging him to lend a helping hand. As he reached for the puppy, the man was shocked by what he noticed.

The pup’s muzzle was taped shut – wrapped tightly with electrical tape and it was heartbreaking to see.

“I’m like, ‘Oh, sh*t,” Hoelter said.

The first thing that came to Holter’s mind was to get the dog to Griffith Animal Hospital. On the way there, he was only praying for it to be open.

“I just threw him in my jacket, crawled back up and started hoofing it to the animal hospital,” he said.

This amazing man entered the hospital, holding the puppy in his arms, hoping it would get the much needed medical assistance. The hopsital manager, Lori Kovacich says she would never forget the sight.

“I was out of my chair and in the lobby to get him in seconds,” Kovacich said.

Kovacich didn’t even ask Hoelter what was wrong with the dog or where he found it. She just took it in her hands and alarmed the vets of the emergency of the case.

Hoelter felt relieved knowing the soul he saved was now in the safe hands of the doctors. He was certain they would do anything in their power to nurture the pup to health.

The vets felt devastated after they realized the tape was there for more than 4 or 5 days. How could someone be so cruel?

They got even sadder when they did a thorough examination. Sadly, the dog’s skin was in a terrible condition and one of its tiny legs was broken. The poor soul was only four months old.

The staff treated the pup with antibiotics and made sure they provided him not only with professional help, but a comfy bed, a bunch of toys, and endless love too.

Kovacich commented the case posting on her Facebook page, saying:

“In my 30 years of working here, I never thought I’d see this … in real life.”

The manager’s post vent viral in a blink of an eye. It resulted in many people being concerned for the dog’s health and among the well-wishers there was a couple who knew it was destined for them to welcome the pup in their family.

The Wittings have recently lost their dog and they instantly fell in love with this cutie pie.

“I thought, ‘That cute little face needs me. I can give him 24/7 love, and I need him,’” Witting said.

We are happy to tell you how they did adopt the sweet dog they later named Louie.

The Wittings were extremely grateful to the person who found the puppy, but then they realized they had no idea who that was. After they reached to the hospital that treated the pup they were told how a man brought Louie in the middle of the nigh after he found it under a bridge. But, Kovacich didn’t took his number nor his name.

Later, however, Hoelter’s niece saw the story of Louie which was viral already and informed her uncle how the people who adopted the puppy he saved wanted to meet him.

The niece and Kovacich organized the reunion which triggered flow of emotions.

“I was awestruck because I didn’t think he remembered me,” Hoelter said. “They sat him down and he ran right to me.”

Louie recognized the man who gave him a second chance for a better life and treated him with lots of doggy hugs and kisses.

However, he couldn’t stop thinking what would have happened to Louie if he didn’t decide to take a walk that night.

“It makes me think God has a purpose for everyone, to be honest with you. We all have our calling,” Hoelter said. “I’m going to have to walk more often, but I sure don’t want to find more dogs under the bridge.”

Louie is indeed one lucky dog. He had a rough start in life, but he eventually got his happy ending.

Airplane Companies Won’t Allow Marine’s ‘Huge’ Dogs on Plane. Heiress Charters Private Jet

Marine Andrew Morales was reassigned from the south of California to Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, which meant he and his family had to move places. That didn’t really bother the family who were looking forward to the new life, but there was one thing that made them less enthusiastic for the trip. Namely, Andrew was planning on taking a commercial flight and take his two adorable dogs with him. The issue? No large dogs allowed on the plane.

Thankfully, this family’s story got the attention of that one person who knew exactly how to help.

Helen Rosburg, the great-granddaughter of William Wrigley, who was known as one of the pioneer chewing gum industrialists, stepped in by doing the most amazing thing ever. She let Andrew and his dogs use her private jet to get to their new home.

“He was going to lose his dogs and I said ‘Not on my watch,’” Helen recalls. “He’s a hero on so many different levels. The Wrigleys are an extremely patriotic family and I am a true Wrigley child.”

Gorgeous Dusty and Wyatt were an important and pretty much inseparable part of the marine’s life because he saved them overseas during a military tour he was part of a couple of years ago.

“In Afghanistan, they are pretty much your best friend,” Andrew said.

Before he even asked for help transporting his two Anatolian Shepards, he contacted every airline company, but the answer was always a resounding no.

This made Andrew reach the league responsible for the dogs’ rescue back in Afghanistan. What they did was make his story viral and that’s when Helen first heard of the Morales family. This woman who has a heart of gold and is the founder of the On The Wings of Angels Rescue organization is also a huge supporter of the military and animal rescue.

“Everybody in my circle knows what I do,” the good Samaritan said. “If they see an impossible situation, they’ll post something to my [Facebook] timeline.”

Needless to say, the Morales were beyond grateful and very much excited for not having to let their furry family members behind.

“From the bottom of me and my wife’s hearts we really appreciate what she did for us,” the US Marine said.

The family would really want to thank Helen in person, and according to her, that may really happen as she is as well thrilled to get to meet these dog lovers.

We are glad there are people like Helen out there who understand the love of someone for their furry pals.

Man Tells Off Woman At Movie Theater

Not all heroes wear capes, and this story shared on Reddit by the user BrainKatana is just a reminder that we should always step in when we feel like someone is not treated the way they deserve. The message he wants to share is that if you believe that being disabled makes someone less of a person, than you should be the one reconsidering the humanity in you.

He witnessed a woman insulting a disabled individual and decided to not let her off the hook but tell her off instead. And if you think this is just the right thing to do, have in mind that many people would simply look the other way. But not this guy. He knows that treating others with utmost respect is what makes this world go round and he wouldn’t settle for less.

“I was waiting in line to buy tickets at a movie theater, and there was a fellow in front of me with cerebral palsy (or MS, or some other horrible thing that puts you in a chair and messed up your body).

It was taking a while. I watched this guy struggle to open an envelope by holding it with his teeth and using his one functional hand.

I wasn’t sure what to do, or if offering to help would be insulting, so I just chilled.

He was doing it before the person in front of him was done with the cashier anyway, and it looked like he’d done this before.

He gets up to the counter and it takes him a minute to get out his Regal card and pay for the ticket.

The woman behind me started to make (loud) snide remarks about how ‘people like that shouldn’t be allowed to go to the movies.’

I was enraged. It was a kind of anger I’ve never experienced before.

At first I didn’t know what to do.

She said something else, and the fellow in front of me paused.

At that moment I turned around and said to her, ‘We should all be so lucky to wait in this line on our own two feet. Keep your disingenuous thoughts to yourself.’

The woman looked shocked and the guy behind me leaned over to his date and said, ‘Daaaaaaaaamn…’

His date was looking at me like she’d just splooshed her pants.

The woman behind me shut her mouth.

It took a moment longer for the guy to get to the counter, but when I got there the girl at the register said I could go to any movie I wanted, that the gentleman in front of me had paid for me and said, ‘Thanks.’

If you’re out there, disabled guy, I didn’t do it looking for a reward.

I did it because sometimes people are real asshats, and no one deserves to experience what you did today.

Thanks for the movie ticket, though. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was awesome.”

Music makes the world a much better place. Whenever we feel down we turn to the tunes of our favorite song and seek comfort in the lyrics we so much love. However, listening to some of the most iconic songs being performed by musicians who possess incredible talent is a one-of-a-kind experience that triggers flow of emotions.

If you’ve heard “The Prayer” being sang by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, you know how much effort it takes to bring it to the audience the right way. Two perfect voices blended in one, and the final result resembles magic.

Marcelito Pomoy is giving the fans what is considered one of the best performances of “The Prayer.”

The most amazing thing is that he sings both the tenor and the soprano pieces. His vocal is indeed out-of-this-world.

When he was just a child, Marcelito and his sister had been adopted by a local police officer who did everything in his power to provide for these siblings the life they deserved. Given many opportunities by his loving guardian, Marcelito discovered his talent and realized he could sing both the highest and the lowest pitches in a song. Becoming aware of his vocal skills, he took part in the talent show Pilipinas Got Talent and won the second season.

After this, he pursued career in the music industry and his talent was recognized by the whole world. He became a very famous singer and even reunited with his biological parents. This man’s dream came true and he’s now one of the most renowned artists.

Father throws son through wall in drunken rage. Then, a cop changed the boy’s life forever

This is one of those stories that make you realize how little does it take for a life to change for the better. Often, we don’t even think of the effects and the consequences our actions have on people, and sometimes we fail to understand that even a small act of kindness can go a long way and bring light in someone’s darkness.

A man shares his life story and how he turned to be a different man than his abusive father only because of the cop who stepped in when they need it the most.

“When I was 8 years old, my father decided that it was time to amp up his drinking rage and beat the living hell out of my mother… again.

As this was customary, I usually hid in the basement with my little sister until the morning, but we had just had an assembly in school about how to use 911 for help if anything bad was happening.

I dialed 911, I don’t remember speaking to anyone, but I left the phone off the hook and then tried to stand in front of my mother.

I went through a wall right after she did.

A short time later two cops busted through the door… probably after seeing my mother and I on the ground and my father screaming, and I remember my father squaring up with the cops, and I remember my father leaving in the squad car as the ambulance came for us.

I remember the cop came to the hospital, did his report thing, gave my sister a teddy bear and that was it.

My father finally was out of our life after my mother had the guts and the police report to get an order of protection, then file for divorce and went out and got a job.

I for the first time in my little life got to sign up for little league. I did not have any friends outside of school and I was excited to meet people but was shy as hell.

I do not know how little league works these days, but when I was a kid (I am now mid 30’s) there was a “try out” in a big gym with all the kids in the league for a few hours where the coaches would all evaluate the kids and try to handicap teams with the same level of talent. I had… none. My extent of baseball was having a mitt my mother got me and trying to throw a baseball in the air and catch it myself. I was beside myself with how bad I sucked.

We went home, and of course I knew I was going to be on a team, but I figured I would just ride the bench and or be a bother. First day of my teams practice my mother takes me to the field, we get our tshirts for the team and pants, and meet the team and… the coach was the cop that arrested my father.

He never said anything, he never treated me any different from anyone else, he never approached my mother or anything, but he did orchestrate the other guys on the team and I to be in social situations together so I could make friends. That short summer through being picked on a baseball team and having a coach that cared completely changed my life. I wasn’t scared that my father was going to show up because the cop that arrested him was my coach. At the end of the season, probably because all the kids on the team begged him, he brought his squad car to the last game and let all of us have a turn sitting in the drivers seat and hitting the buttons.

I asked him if one day I could be a cop like him, he told me that I would be a good cop. Looking back, its pretty funny.

At 17, my mother was grinding two jobs trying to make ends meet so I graduated high school early and enlisted. Got out of active duty, joined the national guard… and went to college… got out of college went to Iraq for army stuff… and took a police test with the same department that serviced the area that I used to live in growing up.

10 years later, the cop that changed our lives was retiring, and I went to his office and asked if he remembered me.

He smiled and said “I told you you would be a good cop.” I was also interviewing for a special unit that he was in charge of… WHICH I DID NOT GET… but hey, there is always next time.

I look at my wife and kid and house and everything I have and it comes down to an 8 year old boy that was scared of everything having a cop that cared as a little league coach.

Dance group Autism With Attitude gets standing ovation

Talent shows have to be the most entertaining programs on TV. Every week, we see amazing talents unfolding in front of our eyes, and many times what people have to put on stage is simply mesmerizing and takes our breath away. However, with so many different performances taking place in America’s Got Talent, The X-Factor, or The Greatest Dancer, we have to agree that impressing the panel of strict judges isn’t at all an easy task. Why? Because it looks as though they have already seen it all. However, every now and then, someone with exquisite skills decides to try their luck and their performance is so powerful that they quickly become country’s sweethearts.

The Greatest Dancer airs on BBC and it gathers more and more viewers every week. Recently, a very special group that stole the attention of the nation took place in the competition. The dancing group Autism With Attitude is the reason why all eyes are on the show.

The concept of this show, which is hosted by singer Alesha Dixon and judges Matthew Morrison of Glee fame, Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse, and platinum-selling singer Cheryl, is quite different from everything you’ve seen so far.

It sees dancers of any age and dance style compete to win £50,000 and a chance to perform on Strictly Come Dancing. Many talented dancers got their chance to show the world what they do best, but it seems like the members of Autism With Attitude really stood out and stole everyone’s heart. They appeared on the fourth week of the series.

One interesting aspect of the show is that the decision whether someone goes to the next round is in the hands of the audience. They are the ones who have the final word, so the competitors should try to impress them. If 75% of the audience love the performance, they vote to open the secret mirror, a portal to the next stage of the competition.

The group of kids on the Autism spectrum did their best to get the chance to open their path to their dreams and we have to say we simply love their routine.

The group’s members all have attended the same school and now work along with their dance coach Jonathan who is very supportive of what they do. A mom of one of the dancers spoke about the goals of these aspiring young people and it brought tears to everyone’s eyes. She said:

“They just want to prove to everyone that, regardless of your abilities and your capabilities, that you can achieve anything.”

They presented an amazing hip-hop dancing choreography involving some crazy moves. The audience loved it so much that they received standing ovation and a loud applause. Needless to say, the crowd was more than happy to open the mirror for this group. They are now one step closer to fulfilling their dreams.

Woman overhears old man say 9 words in Dollar Tree, knows she has to take picture

Love conquers all. We as humans strive to find a soulmate we would spend our whole life with. Unfortunately, not many are lucky to share their every day with that one person who would be by their side for bad and for worse. That is why whenever we hear of a couple being together for more than 20, 30, or more years, we know those people belong to that group of the lucky ones.

The following story is so heartwarming it will make you reconsider the true values of life.

As Louisa Lenore McKinney was shopping for some wrapping paper at her local Dollar Tree she witnessed an unusual sight unfolding right in front of her. An elderly man was at the store and he needed help finding what he was looking for. At one moment, he approached a young lady and asked: “Mam, would you mind helping me out with something?” The woman replied how she was more than happy to help.

The man said: “I need help picking out a birthday card.”

“Who is it for?” the woman asked.

“It’s for me, if I wake up tomorrow, I’ll be 85.

My wife wanted to get me something, but she’s very sick and cannot leave the house, and I want her to know I got a birthday card from her.”

The man and his wife have been together their whole life. He told the lady how they fell in love when they were both just teenagers. And now, after so much time, they still wouldn’t leave each other’s side no matter what.

Louisa was deeply touched by what that man had to say. She later wrote:

“It was the picture of love you only read about. I felt so privileged to get to hear this conversation. Melted my heart. Hope you all enjoy.”

However, this story doesn’t end there. The lady who offered to help turned out to be a restaurant owner. She told her new acquaintance that he and his sick wife are welcome to her place whenever they want.

It’s amazing how a random encounter can trigger so many emotions. Love is the strongest force on earth and we should do our best to keep it alive whenever we get the chance to experience it.
