17 Reenactment Photos

Before and after photos always remind us how time flies. But it’s nice to have them, so that we know how much we’ve changed over the years.

Some of the faces depicted are already wrinkled and looking quite different, but the emotions the photos reveal remain the same.

From spouses on their wedding day, to siblings taking their first trip together, and even proud pet owners on the first day they met their furry pals, these people and animals recreate the same situations years after. Things change, we change, and the essence of life is what we experience between those changes.

These reenactment photos will certainly make you nostalgic about the good old days.

Kids And Parents Perform Epic Dance Routine After Weeks Of Practicing

Phil Wright is a famous name in the world of music and choreography. This immensely talented man has been working with some of the most famous celebrities such as Will Smith, Chayanne, Nicki Minaj and Pitbull, but now he is here to do something a bit different.

He came up with an exciting idea of creating dance classes for parents and children, and although he wasn’t sure whether it would work or not, he decided to give it a go. Having in mind that many parents are taking some time for themselves while the kids are taking classes, Phil wasn’t sure if the parents will be willing to spend that time dancing along their kids. But it turned out they didn’t only want that, but were actually thrilled and eager to push that interesting idea forward.

YouTube

Phil’s taught dancing before, and was part of facilities like Millennium Dance Complex, Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio, IDA Dance Academy and Abby Lee Dance Studio.

Dancing and choreography are Phil’s passion and his greatest wish is to spread it to as many people he can.

YouTube

The parents and the children are dancing to a unique choreography on the famous song of Earth, Wind & Fire, “Let’s Groove,” and no one could imagine it would turn into one of the most impressive performances we’ve ever seen.

Every move they make is simply flawless. Their frisky dancing along with the little sass they add is mesmerizing. It’s clear it took time for this routine to be practiced at this level of perfection, but it was worth it.

Phil was more than proud of the parents and the children who went against their teenage instinct to buck at every turn.

Tom Jones Surprises Audience With Impromptu Performance

Our favorite music talent show The Voice UK, turned even better with Sir Tom Jones being one of the judges. Jones’s powerful voice has been described as a “full-throated, robust baritone” and it was only a matter of time when the audience of the show would hear him perform live during one of the episodes. It was a real blast and a treat for the ears.

This legendary singer has been a real heart-breaker from the moment he started his singing career in he mid-1960s up until this day. Women from all over the world are going crazy over his talent and his looks. During his rich career he’s been performing pop songs, R&B, show tunes, country, dance, soul and gospel.

YouTube

The crowd was left in awe when Olly Murs, one of the judges of the show started singing one of Tom’s songs to which Sir Jones reacted with “yah!” and liked the way his fellow colleague sounded.

YouTube

The crowd is as well happy to hear the judge singing, but they want to listen to the original performer of the song “It’s Not Unusual” so they start chanting Tom’s name. Another judge, Will.i.am, joins in and everyone is eager for Sir Jones to start singing along. He simply can’t hold back, lets his voice loose, and that’s when the magic happens.

He gets so much into the song that he treats the fans with some frisky dance moves and they go wild over what they are seeing and hearing. At this point, no one is in their seats, but up and dancing. It’s an amazing show that Tom surprises the crowd with.

YouTube

This finger snapping, toe tapping tune has everyone dancing around. The lyrics are pretty peppy, too, focusing on love and life.

“It’s not unusual to be loved by anyone. It’s not unusual to have fun with anyone. But when I see you hanging about with anyone it’s not unusual to see me cry, I wanna die. It’s not unusual to go out at any time. But when I see you out and about it’s such a crime. If you should ever want to be loved by anyone. It’s not unusual it happens every day no matter what you say. You’ll find it happens all the time. Love will never do what you want it to. Why can’t this crazy love be mine?”

Everyone is super excited to be listening to a singer like Sir Tom Jones singing in front of their eyes.

Take a look at one of the best episodes of The Voice UK. This is what we call having fun.

When mommy has cancer

A brave mother of two whose life turned upside down shares her story on her personal blog and teaches us how getting sick and battling with a disease like cancer can affect the life of the whole family. This mother who happened to work as an oncology nurse though she knew all about cancer, until she was diagnosed herself. That’s when she realized it was way worse that it seemed. This is her story.

My son was almost 3 1/2 when I was diagnosed, and his little sister was just 5 months old. We were still adjusting to the busy life of a family of 4 and getting everyone’s schedules straight. The day I found out I had cancer was a blur. I specifically remember thinking I would let myself have a pity party for a few hours, but when it was time to get the kids from school- I had to suck it up and act normally. There was still so much to process and so much we didn’t know about my prognosis.

I did ok that first night- dinner, baths, and story time as usual. Harrison and I sang his special goodnight song and I rocked Evelyn in her chair. I went to bed early and surprisingly slept like a rock, I’m sure from pure mental exhaustion.

But the next morning… the next morning was hard. I woke up to realize the nightmare was actually real- and when I walked into my son’s room to wake him up for school, I lost it. Seeing his worry-free, peaceful, sleeping face and knowing that his innocent world was about to be turned upside down just tore me apart. Especially since it had just gotten rocked by adding a baby sister in the mix.

The days that followed were busy with diagnostic biopsies and scopes. Cancer likes to keep you busy and take over your life right away. Soon, close family and friends began offering to babysit so we could get some rest or sort things out. I know they meant well, but after so many repeated offers, I finally broke down again and cried to my husband- “If one more person tries to take my kids away from me, I’m going to lose my mind!”.

I guess I just needed them around to feel normal, to keep distracted amidst all the awful waiting for results. We already had tickets to a baseball game for that first weekend after I found out- and we decided to still go. It was my first lesson in life with cancer- keep up your normal plans as much as you can. It turned out to be a great day full of distraction and smiles. I told myself from that day on, I would do everything in my power to not let cancer take away from any of their fun childhood memories.

“Hey buddy, Mommy and Daddy have something they need to tell you…”

That was the beginning of the hardest sentence I ever uttered to my son. I had known about my cancer for a few weeks and, after the tornado of events that take place during diagnosis, the plan of action was finally coming together. I was scheduled to have surgery the next day to move my ovaries up out of the field of pelvic radiation so I could start treatment.

Now it was becoming real. This was the first physical step towards fighting this cancer, my first scar of many. I could tell Harrison was already sensing something was going on, so I knew it was time to talk with him about it. But how? How do I prepare my sweet little boy for what was ahead, when I didn’t even know the answer myself? How do you assure them everything will be ok, when it very well might not be?

I’ve always encouraged my patients to be honest with their children when talking about cancer and illness, but facing that conversation myself made me question everything. Do we use the “C” word and lay it all out there? Do we just say Mommy’s sick? Do we attempt to hide it from him altogether to protect his innocence? Knowing my inquisitive little boy, we decided to keep it honest and got straight to the facts. We explained that I have a very different kind of owie in my tummy that’s called cancer. I told him the doctors will have to take it out with surgery and I’ll have to take a strong special medicine called chemo that will make me feel pretty yucky.

He took the information well, asking appropriate questions for his age. Can I see a cancer owie… does it hurt… is it dark in a surgery… do I have to have a surgery or take medicine too? I answered his questions the best I could, told him I loved him very much, and we switched back to our normal PJ Masks or matchbox car conversations.

He didn’t bring it up again until that night as I tucked him into bed- he told me that once I was finished with all my special medicine, I could have a sleep over with him in his boys-only fort, just me and him. And there it was.

The moment I knew I had no choice but to beat this. There was no other option, I had to be here for these kids now and for many years to come. I didn’t want to miss one moment. The thought of leaving my kids without a mother hurts too much to even linger on for very long. Even now, a year and a half later, I have yet to fully process this possibility. I’m not sure I ever will. The first step was to figure out how all four of us can get through radiation, surgery, and chemo while still living our lives.

My goal was to keep things as “normal” as possible for my kids. I nearly immediately called Annie, the child life specialist from my cancer center. We spent a long time talking about Harrison and how he’d coped with everything so far. She explained that “normalizing the abnormal” and maintaining routines/ expectations brings children comfort and a feeling of safety in the midst of illness. Harrison really adjusted well.

There was a revolving door of visitors at our home and no normal schedule, there were last minute changes of plans that led to disappointment. He learned when mommy needed to rest and have alone time. He didn’t get to sleep in his own bed for extended periods of time after my surgery and he had to be woken up in the middle of the night more than once to be tossed in a car to bring mommy to the Emergency Department.

He had to learn to keep his hands washed and that mommy couldn’t get kisses on the mouth or pick him up, he heard “I can’t do that with you right now” way more than any kid deserves, he witnessed his mom pulling over on the side of the road to throw up on the way home from school, he saw the line up of pill bottles on the bathroom sink; the abnormal became normal- and he was so brave through it all.

He proudly brought his stuffed monkey named “Chemo” to school for nap time, he learned about my ostomy and called it a “button”, he would quietly sneak in to check on me as I slept and whispered “sorry you don’t feel good mommy” (once even bringing me some chloraseptic spray he found just in case it would help). He loved to be a helper and feel included, giving me checkups and feeling my chest port through my skin. He loved to visit when I was in the hospital and even got to help me ring the bell at the end of treatment. He went on this roller coaster right alongside us, and I couldn’t be more proud of him.

I am no expert, and every kid is different, but I have learned a lot as a cancer patient and mom of small kids. I know that kids are so resilient, want to feel needed, and love fiercely. I’ve learned that they might not always know how to talk about their fears or what questions to ask, but if you listen closely- you can pick up on what they really need in the middle of all the chaos that being the kid of someone who is ill brings.

Another mom who has cancer once told me that this is their story too, and to let them process it in their own way. For us, using play therapy with a specialist was so important for Harrison. He really thrived in that environment and was able to express his fears and learn to cope. It helped me, too- knowing that he had this resource and getting feedback that he was managing his stress well.

I really hesitated to add this next part because I’m not sure how it will come across. It’s a complex thought for me and I’m not quite sure how to explain it properly. I love both of my children deeply- but you probably notice I didn’t mention my sweet daughter very much above. Mostly because she was so little when I was diagnosed that I didn’t have to agonize over what to tell her or the questions and fears she might have. I just had to make sure all her needs were met and she felt safe. She didn’t know any different.

Having a mommy that couldn’t carry her car seat up the stairs, or that wasn’t home sometimes, or that laid down on the floor as she played with her blocks was simply normal. I’m not sure if the thought of this being standard for her is reassuring because she didn’t have to adjust or depressing because of all she missed out on. Here’s the part I’m afraid to admit- I pushed her away. I was so crippled with the fear of dying that I think I unconsciously held her at a distance… just in case. It already hurt too much worrying about leaving my husband and son, the three of us had been going strong for a while.

I just didn’t know what would happen- and I think I was just trying to protect my heart as much as I could. I was mad at cancer, mad that it showed up right after I realized my dream of completing my family, mad that it made me stop breastfeeding my baby and left me too exhausted to have those sweet late night bonding moments, mad that everyone else around me had to suffer because of my diagnosis.

Don’t get me wrong, I love her deeply and she was a light for me in so much darkness- but I feel like it just took us a little longer. I guess I was protecting both of us- maybe that in itself was a selfless act of love. I don’t have a “favorite” kid, but I do have one that I worry about more. Harrison’s older and will remember more, and he’s just more sensitive overall… Evelyn has been independent and laid back from the start. But- they both need their mom.

Right now, I’m cancer free and we’re back to life as usual- for the most part. There are still moments that take my breath away and they still happen often. “Momma, can we go to Disney World when I’m 10” (I hope I’ll get to go, too). “Momma, when I have kids, I’m going to have a beard” (I so badly want to see the people they become and the families they make). “Momma, do you promise you’ll be my mommy forever” (sigh. I sure hope so, buddy).

Even tonight, on Mother’s Day eve- Harrison had a bad dream and needed extra back rubs. And this morning, Evelyn woke up in one of those “I only want my mommy” moods. These moments are just little reminders that nothing is promised. As harsh as that reality is, I truly appreciate this perspective I’ve been given- it makes me realize how special those every day moments really are.

No matter what the future holds, I know my kids will be just fine. They have an amazing father and family support system. They both have huge hearts and bring joy to everyone they meet. They are kind and funny and love to learn new things. I’m certain they will both grow up to make their own beautiful mark on the world… and every day I pray like crazy I’ll be here to see it. sun_pin

P.S. The fort sleep over was even cooler than I imagined.

Girl And Her Mom Approached A Soldier At The Airport. They Never Thought He’d Do This.

The following story is believed to be circulating online for a longer period of time, and people have been forwarding it via email. We are not certain whether this happened for real or not, by knowing that the Atlanta airport has a tradition of applauding the troops, adds to our belief that this is something that really took place.

The story is a great reminder of everything the military men and women sacrifice for the well being of our country.

‘Last week I was in Atlanta, Georgia attending a conference. While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer. I immediately turned around and witnessed one of the greatest act’s of patriotism I have ever seen.

Moving thru the terminal was a group of soldiers in their camo’s, as they began heading to their gate everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly to their feet with their hands waving and cheering. When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and cheered for it hit me. I’m not alone. I’m not the only red blooded American who still loves this country and supports our troops and their families.

Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so we can go to school, work and home without fear or reprisal. Just when I thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our service men and women a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old, ran up to one of the male soldiers. He kneeled down and said “hi,” the little girl then asked him if he would give something to her daddy for her. The young soldier, didn’t look any older than maybe 22 himself, said he would try and asked what it was that she wanted to give to her daddy. Then suddenly the little girl grabbed the neck of this soldier, gave him the biggest hug she could muster and then kissed him on the cheek.

The mother of the little girl, who said her daughters name was Courtney, told the young soldier that her husband was a Marine and had been in Iraq for 11 months now. As the mom was explaining how much her daughter, Courtney, missed her father, the young soldier began to tear up. When this temporarily single mom was done explaining her situation, all of the soldiers huddled together for a brief second. Then one of the other servicemen pulled out a military looking walkie-talkie. They started playing with the device and talking back and forth on it.

After about 10-15 seconds of this, the young soldier walked back over to Courtney, bent down and said this to her, “I spoke to your daddy and he told me to give this to you” He then hugged this little girl that he had just met and gave her a kiss on the cheek. He finished by saying “your daddy told me to tell you that he loves you more than anything and he is coming home very soon.”

The mom at this point was crying almost uncontrollably and as the young soldier stood to his feet he saluted Courtney and her mom. I was standing no more than 6 feet away from this entire event unfolded. As the soldiers began to leave, heading towards their gate, people resumed their applause. As I stood there applauding and looking around, there were very few dry eyes. That young soldier in one last act of selflessness, turned around and blew a kiss to Courtney with a tear rolling down his cheek.

We need to remember everyday all of our soldiers and their families and thank God for them and their sacrifices. At the end of the day, it’s good to be an American.

We are left in flood of tears and happy to be part of a country that knows how to pay respect to the soldiers. May God bless you for your service.

18-Month-Old Boy Rescued While Floating Adrift Out

Being a parent means loving your children more than you’ve ever loved yourself. They are a true blessing, and we do everything in our power to provide them with a comfortable life because all we ever wish is for them to be happy and healthy.

However, toddlers and young children can be difficult to control because they are curious and ready to explore things, which may easily put them in danger.

That is exactly what happened to a sweet 18-month-old Malachi while on holiday in New Zealand with his parents.

Facebook/Jessica Anne Whyte

The family was camping on the beach and little did they know that something horrible was about to take place. Mother Jessica Whyte, her partner Josh, and baby Malachi were having the time of their life, walking along the beach, and having fun in the water, and when the day came to an end they turned in for the night.

During the night, while Jessica and Josh were sound asleep, the little boy left the tent without being noticed and headed towards the water. As luck would have it, the floating body of the boy was noticed by a fisherman named Gus Hutt a couple of hours later.

Gus told the New Zealand Harold:

“As he floated past I thought he was just a doll. So, I reached out and grabbed him by the arm; even then I still thought it was just a doll.

His face looked just like porcelain with his short hair wetted down, but then and he let out a little squeak and I thought, ‘Oh God, this is a baby and it’s alive.'”

Facebook/Jessica Anne Whyte

He quickly grabbed the child and rushed to the shore hoping he would make it. The toddler was soaking wet, but fortunately, not harmed. They had no idea whose child he might be and asked the camp stuff to help them locate the parents.

In the middle of all the drama that took place, the parents were still peacefully sleeping. But then they’ve heard what happened, and Jessica shrieked and started trembling.

“I don’t think my heart [beat] from hearing that to seeing him. I don’t think my heart worked.”

Facebook/Jessica Anne Whyte

Both the parents and the little boy are lucky everything ended up well, and they are thankful for the fisherman who spotted Malachi and didn’t hesitate to offer help. As for Jessica, she will make sure they keep a lock on the tent and be more cautious.

Dad has 14 sons, but it’s the newborn’s name that’s making headlines around the world

Jay and Kateri Schwandt via People

Jay and Kateri Schwandt welcomed their 14th child back in April. You already assume the couple was beyond happy with the newest addition to the family. Having 14 children make the days busy and and it never gets boring around. Large families are amazing, and this one is special because all of the children are boys.

The oldest son Tyler, is 25 years old, and the youngest, newborn Finley, has yet to hit his first birthday. And not only is Finley special because he is a 14th brother, but he has a very unique middle name.

Many were surprised with the parents’ decision to name their son Finley Sheboygan, but this attracted the attention of many and his story ended up in the news.

You can surely make guesses of what the meaning behind this name is, and before we reveal that to you, let us tell you more about this beautiful, large family.

They reveal how it’s like to be raising 14 children and talk about their daily routines as they open the doors to their home for the PEOPLE magazine.

Jay and Kateri Schwandt via People

“We feel like we’re unique parents. Obviously, very few people want to do this and very few people could do this and it’s just something we’re very comfortable with,” dad, Jay, says. “Everything we do, we do as a family and we just feel blessed that we’re able to do it.”

They live “in the woods” of Rockford and own several acres for the boys to grow and play. The house has 6 bedrooms and three and a half bathroom.

“If you’re the first person in the bathroom in the morning you’re in pretty good shape,” he says. “If we had all girls that would probably be a bigger issue!”

Some may assume they decided to have so many children because they were trying to have a girl, and that’s not far from the truth. They actually waited till the baby was born to learn its sex.

“We’ve got all boys, so it’s what we’re used to,” Jay says. “It would’ve been nice to have a girl, but we’re super excited to have another boy. Some of the boys were hoping for a little sister, and some were rooting for another brother. I was pulling for a girl.”

Now when it comes to the name, it was inspired by a fairy tale about a Native American chief who had many boys, just like the Schwandts. The chief believed his last child would be a girl, but when he learned they welcomed another boy, the chief named him Sheboygan for “she is a boy again.”

The family promises this is the last child, although it was exactly what they said before Finley was born.

Why Senior Citizens Are Becoming Fast-Food Workers

In the past, if you walked into a fast food restaurant you would probably be welcomed by young teenagers who pick up shifts working as waiters or waitresses. They would need the money to cover for their college tuition or simply buy things. But it looks like nowadays things are quite different and restaurants prefer to hire seniors over those from the young generation.

If you don’t believe us, next time you enter a big fast food company restaurant, or the local pub, just take a closer look at the employees and you’ll see for yourself that the number of senior workers is bigger than that of teenagers.

If you wonder why it is like that, and how come things changed so drastically, the answer is more than obvious. Restaurant owners believe that older people are more polite and better at approaching the customers, compared to the youngsters who spend most of the time on the internet with the mobile phones in their hands.

Kaboompics

You may also notice how the ads of vacancies relating to a career at the food service industry welcomes seniors to apply for the positions opened. The restaurant owners even try to recruit employees by targeting them in ads where they will stumble upon them, such as churches and senior centers.

Not only their approach to customers is better, but according to the owners, seniors are more likely to show up for work on time.

Many of these workers are retired and need some extra money, or they are simply bored and like being active and around people.

Take Stevenson Williams for example. He is a 63-year-old retired construction worker who started working in the food service industry. He says, “It’s fun for a while, not getting up, not having to punch a clock, not having to get out of bed and grind every day, but after working all your life, sitting around got old. There’s only so many trips to Walmart you can take.”

Having never worked at a restaurant before, Williams got a dishwashing job at Church’s Chicken four years ago. Now, he manages 13 employees and works up to 70 hours a week. “I just enjoy Church’s Chicken. I enjoy the atmosphere, I enjoy the people.”

He also helps younger people learn how to be more efficient and how to better communicate with the customers. He says, “A lot of times with the younger kids now, they can be very disrespectful, so you have to coach them and tell them this is your job, this is not the street.”

Williams started working as a waiter but was promoted to a manager, which isn’t something many of the senior employees want. Most of them are satisfied with their low positions and are not interested in being promoted, which is another plus for the employers.

It is estimated by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics that the number of working Americans aged 65-74 will increase by 4.5% between 2014 and 2024 while they expect the number of working Americans aged 16-24 to decrease by 1.5%.

Please share your thoughts on this subject in the comments bellow. Do you believe older people are better workers?

Judges In Disbelief At Unexpected Twist Seconds Into Little Girl’s Audition

We can never get enough of the music talent shows, because we never know who will take the stage next. Among all those participants who audition in hopes of becoming a world celebrity, there are really those who stun the judges, the crowd in the studio, and the great number of people who watch them on TV.

The next great talent we stumbled upon is a young girl with an angelic face, coming from Ukraine. When she first took the stage, no one could believe the performance she was about to give. Dressed in what resembles a Ukrainian traditional dress, and her hair in pigtails, this beauty rocked the stage.

YouTube

She starts the show with some dance moves, and what caught the audiences’ attention are the unique little shoes that go along with her funky dancing. And now is the time for her to show her vocal talent, which is a real treat for the listener’s ears.

Once she starts singing, the judges immediately notice her beautiful and strong singing, but it seems no one is prepared for what’s coming next, and that’s a sudden change in her voice which leaves everyone stunned.

YouTube

The facial expressions of the judges show how shocked they are by what this girl is putting on stage, the unique country twang in her voice that at one moment turns into yodeling, is not something they get to see every day. They exchange looks with each other, as though they are trying to ask, whether this is real or not.

One of the judges claps along with the country song which makes everyone stand up and dance.

And just when everyone thinks this can’t get any better, the girl who resembles a professional musician impresses the crowd with her next move.

YouTube

Out of nowhere, the young talent suddenly begins full-on yodeling as the judges’ jaws drop in disbelief. The audience went wild over the show she prepared, and their reaction is hilarious.

She stole the hearts of everyone who saw this out of this world singing performance. She is definitely our favorite contestant and we hope she’ll made it all the way to the final.

93-Yr-Old Veteran Left Homeless After Fleeing Fires, Then Strangers Say ‘You’re Coming With Us’

The devastating California wildfires left an enormous number of residents homeless. Thousands of people were evacuated and placed away from their city and even the country, and unfortunately many are missing. Those whose homes were destroyed by the flames are now left with nothing but the memories of the happy times spent there.

One of the many evacuees is a World War II veteran. This 93-year-old man named Lee Brundige left his house after the fire approached closer. He lives alone, and everything he took with him was his car he used to drive himself to a nearby parking lot.

He wasn’t the only person looking for a way out at the parking place, but authorities soon told all the people who were staying there to leave because the air quality was declining. Lee had no idea whether his house was safe or already burnt down, which was the case with thousands of other homes.

As he decided to drive further, he noticed a young lady who was delivering some food to the people around. She remembers how Lee rejected the food, telling her to offer it to someone who will need it more than he did.

This veteran’s plan was to sleep in his car, and move even further if needed. But when Tracy, the girl who offered him the food, learned the old man was about to be left outside, sleeping in his vehicle, she decided to offer something else. A place in her home.

She lives with her boyfriend Josh, and the dogs. Lee was flattered to be offered such a generous suggestion, but he only accepted it after Tracy was trying to convince him for some time.

These generous and compassionate people told Lee that in case his house is no longer there, he could stay with them forever.

Their act of kindness didn’t go unnoticed and we do hope it will inspire others to open the doors of their homes to those in need.

Lee is beyond happy to be spending time with Tracy, Josh, and the dogs. These kind strangers are his “saviors.”

Fire Department Shares Photo Of The Toll Wildfires Takes On Firefighters

The California wildfires continue and the country is facing another round. It has been reported that the statewide death toll is 58, as eight more human remains had been found on Wednesday.

Unfortunately, authorities expect this number to grow, as the list of missing people is getting longer. Thousands of residents were forced to leave the cities as around 8,650 homes were completely destroyed.

Citizens are left terrified and in deep shock of the devastating outcome of one of the most destructive wildfire seasons on record in California. And while they are fleeing the country, fearing for their safety, another group of people approach the flames, bravely standing against them face-to-face. The firefighters are the sparkle that gives us hope that people and animals will be evacuated to safe places, and more homes will stay out of the reach of the fires.

Instagram/Kern County Fire

These real life heroes are standing between total destruction and minor burn marks, grabbing the hoses as tight as they can, aware that the safety of a whole country depends on them. But what happens after they finish with the fight for the day is heartbreaking.

A California fire department shared a photo of the reality we don’t get to see. This is all the rest and break the restless firefighters get when they leave the battleground.

The Kern County Fire Department shared the photo last December (below) and said:

“This is a photo of our Tehachapi Wildland Fire Crew 11. Our crews have worked hundreds of hours to help battle the Thomas Fire. These firefighters work 24-hour shifts and are pushed to the point of exhaustion. Thank you, for your dedication and hard work to help the communities of Southern California.”

These heroes are taking the much-needed nap with their uniforms on, and their helmets next to them just in case they need to get back and continue their heroic work. They are completely covered in soot and this is all they get before the duty calls again.

Instagram/Kern County Fire

Looking at the photo, we better understand the sacrifice all the firefighters make in order for ordinary people to be saved and their homes to be kept untouched by the burning flames. I’m sure everyone feels the urge to help these courageous men, and that’s the reason why they receive gifts by random people.

Darren Dow, the vice president of California Fire Local 2881, told TIME that while material donations like clothing and supplies are nice, they’re often unwanted. Instead, the firefighters battling flames in California could use monetary donations now more than ever. Dow said:

“A lot of times cash donations are better because they can actually utilize those dollars for specific needs rather than taking away some manpower.”

If you’d like to make a financial contribution, TIME recommends donating to one of the following reputable organizations:

AFF’s Disaster Relief Fund

“[Helps] firefighters who are working on the front lines and their families in a variety of ways, from financial to emotional support.”

California Fire Foundation

“Provides support for firefighters and the families of those who have [passed] while at work.”

CDF Firefighters Benevolent Foundation

“Provides funding for injured or fallen firefighters and their families, as well as burn victims.”

If you are not in a position to donate money, a prayer and some nice words are always welcome.

To all the firefighters out there, remember that you are our heroes, and our thoughts are always with you because your strength is the strength of the country. May God bless you all.

Strangers Enjoying A Meal Together At McDonald’s Touch People’s Hearts Around The World

While having lunch at McDonald’s, Indiana, a customer named Amanda Marquell Craft witnessed an amazing scene which touched her heart, so she decided to snap a photo of it and share it on Facebook. While a man was sitting alone, a woman approached and asked if she could join him to which he said yes. They started talking and laughing, and that wouldn’t be so surprising if they weren’t complete strangers.

Facebook/Amanda Marquell Craft

However, Amanda didn’t want to just butt in on the conversation the two strangers were having, so she grabbed her camera and snapped a picture of the unlikely lunch companions instead.

Facebook/Amanda Marquell Craft

She wrote,

“Shout out to this guy! “This elderly lady (seemed to be a little lonely) came up to him and asked if she could sit with him. Without hesitation, this guy said ‘of course’. My friends and I watched him introduce himself and shake her hand.”

“They talked and laughed together like they were friends,” she continued. “They didn’t know each other, and they couldn’t be more different. But today they shared a meal together and it touched our hearts.”

Unfortunately, these days it’s not that usual for strangers to offer so much kindness one to another, and that’s why Craft’s post quickly vent viral.

She later told ABC News that she believes that people want to see more acts of kindness in the world.

“It struck a chord with everybody because you don’t see that,” Craft said. “I think that’s what people are hungry to see is the kindness of others.”

They identified and later contacted the man whose name was Eric Haralson and asked him about the encounter that was seen by so many people. He told them that the lady he had lunch with that day introduced as Jan, and the two felt as they knew each other for years. They talked about their families, and even exchanged phone numbers.

Facebook/Eric Haralson

When Craft posted the photo on the social media, little did she know it will attract that much attention,

“What an amazing outpouring of love, kindness, and overwhelming encouragement! Our post has made it across the world! It’s been shared in Switzerland, Hungary, and a few other countries that I can’t recall at the moment! …I was contacted my numerous people in private telling me how much they loved the story, and they thanked me for sharing! This one act of kindness at a Noblesville McDonald’s spoke to people across the world, and reminded everyone that Kindness Matters!”

She also took the time to thank Eric and Jan, saying,

“The two of you have truly touched the world with your kindness.”

These two strangers are a true inspiration and teach us a lesson that we should always treat everyone with respect because a simple act of kindness can really go a long way.

Mom Posts Picture Of 10-Year-Old In Diaper, Then Says 8 Words That Reveal Tragic Reason Why

The story this mother shared with Love What Matters breaks our hearts in million pieces. She is one of the bravest people we’ve seen, a true hero ready to do anything in her power to help her son Drake whose life is a struggle.

This young boy, who is only ten years old, has been diagnosed with leukemia in 2012 and he’s been through so much ever since. He had to endure many painful procedures during the years, including spinal taps, blood transfusions, surgeries, and chemotherapy.

After so much struggle, the doctors informed him and his family that the cancer went into remission, but just when things were about to get better, the devastating news of a testicular cancer struck the family. It meant going through the same painful path all over again.

His mother Jessica never loses hope that her son will manage to survive everything that stands on his way to a normal life, and she is always there by his side, but she’s aware things are hard, and watching her son going through so much pain is devastating.

She decided to share a picture of her son, along with his story, and people around the world are deeply saddened.

Facebook/Love What Matters

“For anyone battling cancer or enduring chemotherapy. For anyone going through this horrible disease. It is about to get real, real hard and real quick,” she started. “The picture I’m posting is from this morning, and before you scream and cry ‘why would she post a picture of him in a pull up, the indecency’, well 1. It doesn’t show more than swimming jammers would and 2. Because life is not always politically correct and pretty, it is real. Life isn’t pretty, and cancer destroys a person.”

Drake doesn’t eat properly, so he is skinny and weak. Every bite he takes is a real struggle. His cancer made him unable to control his bathroom habits at times and he is terrified because of everything that is happening to him.

“He is afraid of something happening and being alone,” she wrote, “and by something I mean dying.”

All this mother wants is to tell her son that everything is going to be all right, but she is aware that things are not that promising. She only knows for sure that she will never leave his side and will fight for him with all her strength.

It sometimes happens that Drake has to take 44 chemo pills in just 24 hours, which is more than his fragile body can take.

“This is him telling me, ‘mommy, I’m not going to make it.’” the heartbreaking post continued. “This is him not wanting to be touched, because it hurts too much, and using morphine to get through his day. This is him telling me he is scared and thinks he won’t see his 11th birthday. This is him and me, telling him that I will continue to fight for him when he can’t. This is him and me, and our world.”

These mother and son’s story touched the hearts of many, and her post has been shared more than 67,000 times. Words of support and encouragement come from people from all over the world. Everyone praises and admires Drake’s and Jessica’s will to never give up.

“From the moment I found out I was pregnant till future forever, he has been my reason for life,” Jessica finished her post. “He is my smile, my love, my heartbeat. He is also my tears, my heart ache, my frowns. He is my life.”

Against All Odds, Couple With Down Syndrome Celebrates Their 24-Years Wedding Anniversary

Tommy and Maryanne have been happily married for 24 years. As they celebrate their anniversary, they recall the day of their wedding. Back then, the beautiful bride Maryanne wore a Cinderella like gown and it was an amazing ceremony the loving couple shared with their families and friends.

However, when they decided to tie the knot, many believed they won’t last long, and that’s because both Tommy and his wife have Down Syndrome.

During the years, their relationship has been subject to many negative comments and judgement from members of their family, as well as from random strangers. But the two are very much in love and although they get stared at all the time, they know how to cope with everything that stands on their way to happiness. When talking about the time they first met, both agree it was love at first sight, and during these 24 years it only grew stronger. There is a 13 years of age gap between the two, but they never saw it as an obstacle.

They get along very well knowing their personalities are quite different. While Tommy is shy, his wife knows how to draw him out of the shell. 18 months after they started dating, Tommy though it was just the time to propose. Maryanne was over the moon when she said yes, although the ring was the one Tommy got from a vending machine. Later, he bought a real one.

Initially, many people were suspicious whether the two could go along with the marriage idea, but they soon realized the couple was ready to spend their lives together. As for Maryanne’s mother, she has always been supportive of her daughter’s relationship and was glad and happy she found true love.

They have been very happy with each other, and they are probably the first couple with Down Syndrome to get married. They have recently been part of This Morning where they shared with the viewers what it was like to be married for so long. People believe they make an amazing couple, and many commented how they would like to find someone to share this kind of relationship with.

They are still going strong as they are aware there will always be people out there who will not approve of their marriage, but they have their family who supports them, and most important of all, they have each other. As for those who labeled their relationship as “disgusting”, we hope this couple’s happiness will make those people open their hearts for those who are a bit different.

Young Farmer Has Priceless Comeback When His New Boss Yells at Him for Not Making More Sales

How many times you’ve gone shopping and ended up buying things you don’t even need, only because the sales person was really persuasive? I know that has happened to me many times.

These salesmen are real professionals and pretty good at what they do. They know exactly what to say in order to fool you into buying bunch of unnecessary things.

But we as buyers should know when to say no and simply leave the store before we spend all of our money.

At the end of the day, it’s their job to make sure they sell as much as they can.

The below story is a great one. It’s about a salesman from North Dakota, who made the sale of the day, or maybe the month, or even the year. It’s so hilarious that it will make you burst out laughing, that’s for sure.

Although the story is fictional, it’s one of the best we’ve ever read.

A young man from North Dakota decided to pursue a career in New York and started looking for a job at a big department store.

The Manager says, “Do you have any sales experience?” The kid says “Yeah. I was a vacuum salesman back in North Dakota.”

Well, the boss was unsure, but he liked the kid and figured he’d give him a shot, so he gave him the job.

“You start tomorrow. I’ll come down after we close and see how you did.”

His first day on the job was rough, but he got through it. After the store was locked up, the boss came down to the sales floor.

“How many customers bought something from you today?” The kid frowns and looks at the floor and mutters, “One”. The boss says “Just one?!!? Our sales people average sales to 20 to 30 customers a day.

That will have to change, and soon, if you’d like to continue your employment here. We have very strict standards for our sales force here in Florida. One sale a day might have been acceptable in North Dakota, but you’re not on the farm anymore, son.”

The kid took his beating, but continued to look at his shoes, so the boss felt kinda bad for chewing him out on his first day. He asked (semi-sarcastically), “So, how much was your one sale for?”

The kid looks up at his boss and says “$101,237.65″.

The boss, astonished, says $101,237.65?!? What the heck did you sell?”

The kid says, “Well, first, I sold him some new fish hooks. Then I sold him a new fishing rod to go with his new hooks. Then I asked him where he was going fishing and he said down the coast, so I told him he was going to need a boat, so we went down to the boat department and I sold him a twin engine Chris Craft. Then he said he didn’t think his Honda Civic would pull it, so I took him down to the automotive department and sold him that 4×4 Expedition.”

The boss said, “A guy came in here to buy a fish hook and you sold him a boat and a TRUCK!?” The kid said “No, the guy came in here to buy tampons for his wife, and I said, ‘Dude, your weekend’s shot, you should go fishing.’”

Three Year Old With Flowing Mane Gets His Very First Haircut

Aiden is a lovely and a very sweet young boy who had the most amazing ponytail, and boy was it long, since he hasn’t had his hair cut for three years, which means this would be his first time ever to visit the barber.

The boy was a bit nervous, because he had no idea whether it would hurt or what would really be going on once he visits the guy with big scissors in his hands. He was also worried whether his mane will grow again.

It was a very nice experience he shared with his father, who was there all along, and filmed the whole thing.

YouTube

Once the parents decided their son’s amazing locks should go, they certainly didn’t mean to throw them in the garbage, but instead decided to do something really amazing, donate the hair to those who really needed it.

They tried to explain to little Aiden how it will be easy for his hair to grow back again, whereas there were people out there who will never have that in their life.

But although he knew he does that for the less fortunate, he was still kind of scared and anxious about the first cut. Million thoughts ran through his mind, but his daddy was there by his side.

YouTube

The barber though it would be nice if the father made the cut of the hair which was put in a ponytail, so he handed him the scissors. Dad knew Aiden was still a bit nervous so he said to him:

“Mira (Look). You’re a big boy, right?”

Aiden acted like a real little hero and tried to hold his tears, but once the hair was gone, he broke down in tears.

He could feel his head was lighter, but he still couldn’t stop crying. Dad shed some tears of joy himself while he was hugging and kissing his brave son. This was a really touching moment shared between a father and a son both will remember for a long time. The hair which will bring joy in someone else’s life was described by dad as a haircut “three years in the making.”

YouTube

It’s so promising to see parents teaching their children how to do good deeds from very young age. Take a look at Aiden’s first ever haircut.

After Plane’s Delayed, Woman Snaps Pic Of What Crew Was Up To

Being stuck at the airport because of a flight delay can be nerve-racking, and while the reason is usually a bad weather, or the recent increased number of flights but not enough runways, it’s not that unusual for it to be a single passenger.

A woman named Kristen Wiley shares an interesting story about a delayed flight with us and we are so happy she did that. The plane she was in at the Seattle-Tacoma airport was about to take off, but there was something going on, so they were around 45 minutes late.

The cabin crew and the flight attendants gathered around one of the passengers, and that’s When Kristen decided to take her phone out, take some pictures, and post them on Facebook along with a description of what was happening. There was an interesting reason why her Alaska Airlines Flight 748 hadn’t budged an inch.

The post said:

“We are currently sitting on a plane, with a 45 minute delay. Why? Because there is an elderly woman suffering from dementia, who is very upset and confused.”

The poor woman was confused and had no idea where she was, or why she was on the plane. She was completely scared, and only a few passengers could witness the whole thing because the guard crouched down the aisle and did something amazing.

Facebook/Kristen Wiley

The woman found support in her dog who she started cuddling as she was trying to figure out the situation she found herself in. These people don’t have it easy because they never know when their condition will worsen, so they live their life from moment to moment.

“The incredible staff of #alaskaairlines is being extremely patient and compassionate, in what can only be a very scary situation for her. Explaining every step, cuddling her dog, working with her husband/caregiver to find the best solution.”

When Kristen saw how nicely the woman was treated by the airplane company’s employees not only she wasn’t mad for the flight delay, but she was happy there were still good and compassionate people out there. The crew members were patient and came up with a solution. In this cruel world, it’s not everyday that we witness emotional scenes like this unfold right in front of our eyes.

Flickr/TravelingOtter

The woman, along with her dog and her husband were escorted off the plain by the crew who explained the passengers why they did what they did. The woman simply needed to take her time to come to terms with herself. She felt too stressed and pressured because of the trip, so the company made a generous offer.

“Alaska Airlines calmly assisted the woman, her husband/caregiver and sweet pup off the plane, providing hotel and transportation with plans to rest up and try again the following day. Again, incredible compassion given to the both of them while quietly explaining the situation to other passengers.”

Whereas it’s not unusual for some drama to be happening on board every once in a while, the way the company and its employees deal with it is what speaks of them as humans. We are happy Kristen shared this story with us, because it’s everything we need to hear in a world in which people are forgetting what it means to be empathetic.

“This is how I would want my mother, my sister, my aunt, my daughter, my niece, my friend cared for. “

This story is a nice reminder that we should always offer a helping hand to a person in need, because we never know who is witnessing our good deeds and who do we inspire to become a better person. Our kindness can go a long way and restore someone’s faith in humanity, and that’s how the World becomes a better place.

Girl Starts Dancing Randomly In Airport, Minutes Later There’s An Epic Flash Mob

Most people hate it when they get stuck at the airport, whether the reason is a delayed flight or the crowd in the queue for purchasing tickets. And as we usually get beyond bored while at the terminal or waiting, the passengers who found themselves at the London Southend had a totally different and unique experience.

That was indeed a day to remember, as to everyone’s surprise a young girl wearing a green jacket stood in the middle of the airport and started dancing. As soon as they noticed the lady, people started gathering around her.

YouTube

But things got even better when a young man joined the lovely Irish dance that included lots of feet tapping, which is always amusing to watch.

The commuters went wild when another man joined and they realized they will be enjoying a flash mob. Cheering and clapping could be heard, as more and more people took the airport’s “stage.”

YouTube

It was an amazing sight. Everyone was simply wowed by the dancing skills of the young dancers, who were tirelessly tapping and dancing. Many people took their phones and started shooting the mesmerizing performance.

The floor was later filled with another group of young men and women. The dancers were incredibly talented and it was obvious they practiced the dancing moves, because they were all flawlessly moving around in perfect sync.

People were entertained and enjoyed every single move as well as the great choice of music. They were clapping to the rhythm and it was an unbelievable experience. At one moment, the dancers took their jackets off and their shirts revealed they were performing for the launch of Aer Lingus Regional Service.

YouTube

Around 40 young people put in a memorable performance that day, and stunned the onlookers. Well, it’s not something we see every day.

The young dancers from the McGahan Lees Dance Academy – an arts school located in Essex, England rocked at what they did. This Irish dancing performance is one of the most popular airport flash mobs to date seen by more than 9 million people since it was uploaded on YouTube.

‘Permission granted’: Officer’s tear-jerking first salute from grandpa

The grandparents are the ones who are the greatest support in the life of their grandchildren. They know how to spoil them rotten, be there for them whenever they need a helping hand, and are equally proud of their successes as the parents.

The below video is a heart-melting moment shared between a grandpa and his loving granddaughter. It was posted on Reddit, and people are struggling to hold their tears back.

In the emotional moment, the Marine officer is receiving her first salute, and it comes by the grandpa, who says,  “Staff Sgt. Williams, requests permission, ma’am, to hug his granddaughter, 2nd Lt. Charlotte Williams.”

“Permission granted,” the lieutenant says before hugging her grandfather, thus making us all cry tears of joy, including the guy in the back who tries to play it off like it’s no big deal.

Dave Williams/YouTube

The video was released on YouTube in 2013, but it is still one of the greatest we’ve ever seen. The grandpa, James Williams, is a retired Marine staff sergeant himself, and he is proud of his granddaughter’s accomplishment, and very happy because she chose to follow in his footsteps.

The scene took place in front of the crowd at the National museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia.

Take a look at the video below, and share it with friends.

A Girl Asked a Stranger to Switch Seats on a Plane and Accidentally Changed Her Destiny

It’s truly amazing how we sometimes determine destiny by the actions we take today, even if we are complete unaware of it most of the time. Rosey Blair shares with us one of the most amazing stories we’ve stumbled upon in a long time. This is actually how life works in order to make things fall into place.

Rosey and her boyfriend were heading back to Dallas, but their seats were not next to each other. Since she really wanted to be sitting next to him during the long flight, she approached a young girl and asked her whether she would mind to change seats. The girl was fine with that, so Rosey thanked her and jokingly told her how she could end up sitting next to the love of her life. But little did she know, that it could really be the case.

As the plane took off, Rosey saw a handsome young man sitting next to the girl she switched seats with. She though it was very sweet that the travel companions started chatting so Rosey decided to share on her Twitter account parts of the conversation she was overhearing.

The whole story that was later shared on Bright Side, had more than 900,000 likes, 370,000 retweets, and 11,000 comments.

At one moment, they started showing each other family photos. Hmm, does it mean something more serious is on the way?

It seemed that many people were eager to see how everything will turn out at the end. Viewers were staring at their screens in anticipation for some pictures with info on how the “relationship” progressed. A girl even took her phone into the shower, not wanting to miss a thing. Rosey only had an hour of free Wi-Fi, but bought additional time because she didn’t want to keep the spectators waiting.

Once the plane landed, the newly made friends could be seen leaving the airport together.

Rosey managed to track them on Instagram, and she plans on following them, and see if the two will end up being together. If yes, it will all be because of her, and her plane seat.

Another Tweeter user shared his own similar story, on how he and his wife met during a plane flight and are still together and happy after ten years.

Do you believe it was destiny that brought these two together? We would certainly want to hear more of the story.

No Family Shows Up To Claim Veteran’s Body, So All of Nashville Attends Funeral

Whenever we hear of military men and veterans who served our country, we always feel deep respect and the need to bow in front of them, and make sure they understand how grateful we are for the sacrifice they make.

What happened last Wednesday, on November 9, is a proof of the love all Americans have for these brave people.

A war veteran, Marine Corps Sgt. Leo Stokley passed away at the age of 69, but he was living all by himself. He had no children or any other family members, so the funeral director didn’t expect a great number of people to attend it.

But, just two days before the service, the funeral company’s phone didn’t stop ringing. Many people were interested to attend it in order to honor Stokley.

It appeared that a Facebook group U.S. Army W.T.F! moments, posted a call for attendance, and wanted to make sure the hero was not alone, but surrounded with people who respect what he did for America.

“Yesterday morning, everything changed,” Funeral Director Alan Desmond told WKRN. “The phone hasn’t stopped ringing, the emails and the texts haven’t stopped since then.”

On the day of the funeral, Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery was crowded with people who came to say the final goodbye to the man who fought for our well-being, among which three women who had served as his caregivers during the last days of his life.

Tea Gray, Cay Cross, and Samantha Anderson loved Leo as though they were family. They were happy so many people attended their friend’s funeral.

“He was one of our sweet eaters who always wanted chocolate chess pie,” Gray told WSMV.

Nashville resident Kay-Lynn Carew was one of the people who was present. He said he heard about it from his daughter and felt the need to attend and honor the veteran.

“She knows I live here, I work here,” said Carew. “She said can you show up, I said heck yeah I can show up.”

“When you hear about a veteran, and nobody’s gonna be there, somebody’s gotta be there,” Carew said.

“Lots of people forget, there’s a lot of veterans that don’t have any families left. We’re all the family, we’re Americans, we’re the family.”

The women knew that Leo would have loved it to see how many people respected what he did.

“I can say we were his family,” said Gray. “He became our family.”

Rest in Peace Marine Corps Sgt. Leo Stokley, and thank you for your service.

Flight Attendant Breastfeeds Stranger’s Baby in Flight When Mom Runs Out of Formula

Stories like this restore our faith in humanity and give us hope that there are still compassionate people out there who are ready to make a difference in the world.

While on her job as a flight attendant on a Philippine Airlines flight, 24-year-old Patrishia Organo heard a familiar sound. She quickly got out of her cabin and wanted to make sure that everything was just fine, although she could easily assume what was hiding behind the cry.

“You know the difference between a cry of hunger, a cry of sleepiness, or a cry of something else,” Organo says, whose the mom to a one-year-old child herself, alluding to the fact that she could tell the baby was hungry.

She quickly rushed to the mother and could see her helplessly looking at her infant child with tears in the eyes. When Organo came closer, the mother told her how she ran out of formula milk, and had no idea what she could do in order to calm the baby.

“Passengers started looking and staring at the tiny, fragile crying infant,” Organo said. “There’s no formula milk onboard. I thought to myself, there’s only one thing I could offer and that’s my own milk.”

The mother embraced the unusual offer and was beyond grateful for what Organo did for her child.

“I saw the relief on her mother’s eyes. I continued to feed the baby until she fell asleep. I escorted her back to her seat and just before I left, the mother sincerely thanked me,” Organo said.

After this caring flying attendant shared the story on Facebook, more than 175,000 people reacted to it. Many praised this woman’s generosity. One comment says, “Thank you, from one mom to another!” and another person added, “What a wonderful woman and such a selfless gift she gave to the mother and tiny baby.”

Well, we guess it’s true when people say that it takes a village to raise a child.

When Bride Sees Her Husband’s Ex At Her Wedding, She Stops Everything and Asks Her to Stand

The wedding day is definitely one of the most important and most memorable days in the life of a woman. That’s the day when everything has to be perfect, starting from the wedding gown, the make-up, the veil, the perfect venue, the exciting guests, and the vows that speak the promise “to love and to cherish till death do us part.”

And while everyone expects for the big day to be all about those two people whose love we celebrate, that wasn’t the case with Katie Hild’s wedding ceremony.

Her soon-to be-husband Jeremy is a father to a lovely boy named Landon. And although both the parents are very fond of their son, Jeremy and ex-wife Casey didn’t get along. And now, as both of them were involved with different people, the tension grew even bigger.

Knowing all this, Katie felt the need to smooth things over if she was about to get married to Jeremy. She really didn’t want him and his ex to be constantly fighting, so she did her best to become Casey’s friend.

Not only the two women became close, but they managed to get Jeremy and Casey’s eventual new husband, Tyler, on good terms which lead to establishing a loving co-parenting environment.

As a way to acknowledge the bonds between this blended family, Katie wrote two other sets of vows. One was for Casey and Tyler, and the other for Landon. She asked Casey to stand up and said to her:

“First, I want to thank you for accepting me as your friend and allowing me to be a part of Landon’s life. I promise to be an amazing mother to your son. I will guide, teach and love him every single day. . .”

No one could hold their tears back, as Katie turned to four-year-old Landon and said:

“Landon, I will love you more than you will ever know. I’m so happy that I now officially get to be your bonus mommy. . .”

What Katie did was sort of amazing. No one was prepared for what was coming, and it was the ultimate surprise that touched the hearts of the guests. But Casey was the one who was surprised the most. She thought it was a selfless thing to do.

When Katie shared the photos and the video of her wedding day, she couldn’t assume it would be seen and shared by so many people who praised her for what she did.

After all, Katie’s heart of gold knew that Landon’s happiness was the most important thing, and she showed everyone what a perfect co-parenting should look like. Landon is one happy boy with two sets of parents who love him to the moon and back.
