You can’t buy love, but you can adopt it! Yes, there’s nothing that can be compared to the love dogs feel for their humans and every dog owner can tell you that.
Having a furry pal by your side means never having to be alone. Their incredible sense of dedication can make even the hardest of days a bit brighter. We are so lucky to have dogs in our lives.
This truly touching story of a dog named Boncuk from Trabzon, Turkey is going to melt your heart.

One day, Boncuk’s owner, Cemal, had to be rushed to the hospital. The dog got confused and had no idea what was going on. She only knew that she couldn’t leave her human daddy alone, so she ran after the ambulance all the way to the hospital.
Believe it or not, Boncuk spent six long days in front of the facility, waiting for her owner to get out, as per The Guardian.
Cemal’s daughter, Aynur Egeli, told The Guardian: “She runs away from home and comes here, all by herself.”

Finally, after the long waiting, she was reunited with her favorite human again. As Cemal was discharged, Boncuk couldn’t hide her excitement and happiness. She was overjoyed, and her reaction put a smile on many people’s faces.
“She’s very used to me,” Cemal said. “And I miss her too, constantly.”
“They bring joy, and make people happy. They provide companionship just like humans and they make people happy.”

Being homeless is a heartache. Sadly, this isn’t only true for the people who lack a roof over their head, but for the animals who are forced to fend for themselves and spend their days on the streets, too.
The good thing is that a lot of street dogs find a loving home eventually, but most spend their entire lives as homeless and without experiencing love.
The former usually get a second chance all thanks to the animal lovers who dedicate their days at saving animals in need.
If it wasn’t for these people, who are mainly volunteers working without getting paid but simply because of their love for animals, many strays and neglected pets would end up euthanized.

This is the story of Cesar, a tiny Yorkshire who spent most, if not all his life, in a dark, filthy box at a puppy mill. His movements were restricted to only a few meters and we are devastated to hear that he had never had the chance to run around, waging his tail.
Even though there isn’t enough information about Cesar’s life, it’s not hard to see that he didn’t have it easy. His appearance was enough evidence that the poor dog suffered and was severely neglected.
Luckily, local authorities were alerted of Cesar’s situation and they managed to rescue him. Once the dog was in safe hands, they took him to the vet, who couldn’t believe the dog could look that bad.
His fur was in a desperate condition. Covered in dirty, matted hair for so long, and his body riddled with infection, he had to be treated with lots of medications.
Source: YouTube Screenshot/ Viktor Larkhill
But today, after everything he’d been through, Cesar is a happy dog that found a forever home. A lovely couple who heard his story were determined to welcome him in their home and give him all the love he deserved. As for the rescuers who gave him his freedom, you are the best, and we can never thank you enough for everything you do for the animals in need.
The ability to stay calm and keep a cool head during hectic and stressful situations isn’t something most of us could brag about. What most people do when they find themselves in trouble is panic, and although they are aware that’s not how you handle difficult situations, they can’t really do anything to help themselves.
Tyshayla Wilson from North Carolina is only 11 years old, but she’s one very special young lady who managed to keep calm during a fire which started in the family house and helped save her 5-year-old brother.
Quick-thinking Tyshayla took some time to think what to do next when she noticed that the kitchen was caught up in flames because of oil that started burning. At the time of the incident, the brother and the sister were all by themselves as their babysitter went to quickly grab dinner for them.

Having attended a fire safety training at school, Tyshayla rushed to the phone and called 911. Dispatcher John Schuler helped her keep calm and guided her through the process of safely opening the windows for the firefighters.
Thankfully, both Tyshayla and her brother were taken out to safety and on May 26, Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey presented Tyshayla with an award for heroism.
The dispatcher, Schuler, also got an award. Tyshayla wanted to be the one to present the award to him because “He’s one of the most important people in my life now because he saved me and my brother.”
Speaking to WSOC-TV, the brave girl said: “When I was a little girl, I always used to pretend I was a princess. But now that I’m older, I feel like I’m kind of a knight.”
The video of the migrant boy who strapped empty water bottles to help him stay afloat during his frantic attempt to reach the Spanish soil vent viral and broke millions of hearts.
The 14-year-old boy couldn’t stop his tears as he was telling the soldiers at shore that he had no family left in Morocco. Sadly, he had no idea what he would encounter in the foreign land, but knew one thing, that he would rather die than go back to his homeland.
“He didn’t want to go back, he didn’t have any family in Morocco, he didn’t care if he died from cold; he preferred to die … than go back to Morocco,” soldier Rachid Mohamed al Messaoui said, according to India Times.

The dangerous journey started from Morocco to the Spanish enclave of Ceuta in North Africa, a city 40 miles across ocean from Gibraltar which is British overseas territory on Spain’s south coast.
According to British Independent, after Morocco loosened border controls, the number of people who tried to reach the Spanish soil climbed to roughly 8000.
As deporting minors is illegal in Spain, no one knows what happened to the crying boy.

Another minor who had undertaken the same route was reported to have died in the attempt to reach Ceuta.
Spanish troops are detaining migrants who are trying to enter the city by water or through the fence. Many have been sent back to their homeland of Morocco.
This is the incredible story of Theresa Kachindamoto, the woman who proves that nothing is impossible.
You may have never heard of her before, but once you learn how her bravery is changing the life of the girls from her country you will remember her as nothing less than a real life hero.
Source: Wikipedia Commons
Kachindamoto was named the village chief of Monkey Bar, Malawi. She came to this position after working as a secretary at a city college for 27 years. When she accepted to become a chief, this woman had a goal in mind and it was to let girls be girls and attend school instead of getting married at a very young age. Although this sounded like a mission impossible, Kachindamoto never though of giving up.
Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world where child-marriage is considered tradition and something normal although the law says that it’s illegal from 2015 for minors to marry.
Girls as young as 12, and even younger, are forced into marriages, so instead of having a childhood, most of them are becoming mothers at this age.
“I told them: ‘Whether you like it or not, I want these marriages to be terminated.’”
Source: YouTube Screenshot
Kachindamoto achieved what seemed to be unreachable. She annulled more than 850 child marriages and took all those girls back to school.
People of her country should finally understand that giving birth at 12 is not normal and these girls’ lives are put in huge danger. Neither their bodies, nor their emotional intelligence is developed for such a responsibility as a husband and children.
The most horrifying of all is that girls starting from 7 years old are often sent to camps for “kusasa fumbi” which stands for cleansing but is in fact a place where these girls are taught how to sexually please their future husbands, and just the though of it is horrifying.
Kachindamoto is determined to shut down all of these places and is not afraid to sanction everyone involved in such activities.
Affinity Magazine via Twitter
Her ways of handling the problem of child-marriage triggers parents protests and she gets life threats but that doesn’t stop her for making a chance in the girls’ life.
This brave woman made all her 50 sub-chiefs sign agreements to abolish early marriage and annul all the existing unions involving minors.
Vital Voices via Facebook
All she believes in is that the place of every young girl is in the classroom. She even pays for the school fees of those girls whose families can’t afford it.
“I don’t care, I don’t mind. I’ve said whatever, we can talk, but these girls will go back to school,” she said.
This incredible woman is changing traditions that are likely to destroy young females’ life one girl at a time and she’s not planning on stopping.
“Be the change that you want to see in the world” is exactly what Kachindamoto is doing every single day. Below is her story.
The death of 8-year-old Jaylin Schwarz from Odessa, Texas, which took place in August 2020, brought tears and heartbreak at everyone who heard her sad life story.
Jaylin and her younger sister Jayde were taken away from their biological mother Alysha Anderton four years ago because she was an addict who failed to overcome her addiction within the stipulated time fixed by child protective services. After that, the girls were placed under the care of Alysha’s stepsister Ashley Schwarz and her husband Daniel Schwarz.
Sadly, things went even worse from that moment on and Jaylin was a subject of constant child neglect and abuse which eventually led to her death.

According to police records, sweet Jaylin died of dehydration after she was forced to jump on a trampoline for an excessive period of time without water as a punishment.
After the investigation, the cruel guardians were charged with capital murder and were taken into custody by the Odessa Police Department. It was reported that the girl was forbidden from having breakfast and was not given any water on the day she died “because she was not jumping.” The temperature was over 110 degrees. The autopsy results confirmed that she died of dehydration.

Recently, almost a year after Jaylin’s passing, her biological mother opened up about losing her daughter. Fox 17 reported that heartbroken Alysha said: “I was surprised it wasn’t more than just dehydration because the little girl that I saw in the casket did not look like an 8-year-old girl. She was so, so tiny. She was so tiny.”
She continued: “The most important thing I needed to tell them was that I’m sorry. I’m so so sorry that I didn’t bring you back home like I promised you that I would.”

According to CBS 7, Alysha said: “What upsets me the most is that I never got to see her alive again. When they took them, I never got to say goodbye. So I’ve never had closure for the past four years.
“I hope she knows my heart now and she knows that I was trying very, very hard to get to them and I could have saved her.”

The only thing that gives this mother comfort is that her little girl’s grave is nearby and she can visit it every single day. “If that’s all I get now, I’ll take it. I’ll take it and I will treasure it for the rest of my life,” Alysha said. “If that’s all I’m given when it comes to her if that’s all I’m given I will take it any day… And I will make it beautiful just as she was in life.”

Currently, she’s doing all in her power to regain custody of her other daughter who is under the care of the Schwarzs’ babysitter for the time being.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family with the legal battles.
The well-being and the happiness of their children is every parent’s top priority. That is the reason why many panic and rush to see a doctor when something out of the ordinary happens, like the kid developing a rush, any sort of ache, or any other slight inconvenience.
When baby Oscar was born, his parents noticed tiny red dots on his body but didn’t assume it was anything to be concerned about. However, as time passed by, those dots grew bigger and bigger and that raised a red flag so baby Oscar was taken to the hospital.
Stephanie and her husband Daniel were convinced the doctor would send them home with some medication for a rush or chickenpox and they weren’t prepared for what they were about to hear.
Facebook / DanielLangham
“At first we didn’t realise there was anything wrong, we thought it was just something normal like neonatal rash – but a midwife saw him and realized there might be a problem,” Stephanie said speaking to the Daily Mail.
“Since then, the spots have got progressively worse and worse.”
Facebook / DanielLangham
After doctors ran a number of tests, they diagnosed sweet Oscar with Langerhans cell hypertrophy, a rare cancer that attacks the cells of the immune system and is mostly shown in the skin as part of reactive lesions such as eczema.
Facebook / DanielLangham
Since the diagnosis in 2015, Oscar has undergone a huge number of blood tests, weekly blood and platelet transfusions, six bone marrow tests and two skin biopsies, but his parents are still left wondering what future holds for their son. Doctors say they have never seen a case where the child is in fact born with the spots, as they usually appear later on as the cancer progresses.
The good thing is that the disease has a 90% survival rate in children and everyone hopes Oscar would manage to overcome it eventually.
Facebook / StephanieLangham
Stephanie says that most of the people on the street stare at her boy and take a step back when they see them approaching because they believe he has some infectious disease. But she won’t let anyone’s stares and words affect Oscar’s happiness and simply opts to ignore all the negativity. “People always ask if he’s got chickenpox, and they often stare at him and point him out in the street – people don’t want to come near him because they think they might catch it.”
Facebook / StephanieLangham
Both she and her husband Daniel are doing their best to educate people on their son’s condition as they hope it will lead to acceptance.
Facebook / StephanieLangham
“He’s got spots all over his body – even on his tongue and his eyeballs – which makes me worry about what’s going on inside,” Stephanie says.
The family has no other choice but to believe that things would turn for the better for their son, but they still have their fears because not much is known of this disease and doctors struggle to find options that would help Oscar fight against it the best he can.
Facebook / DanielLangham
Oscar’s life hasn’t been easy because he spends a lot of time in the hospital. Yet, he’s a very happy and bubbly child who loves spending his days around his loving mom and dad. They say that as long as Oscar is healthy, they don’t care how he looks on the outside.
We pray for him to be completely cured in the near future. Please share this story to raise awareness of this condition so people will understand it’s not contagious or something they should fear of.
We often speak of the sacrifice men and women from the military make all for the sake of the country and its people. However, we seem to forget how the dogs who are part of the army put their life on the line every single day, too. Because of these courageous animals many soldiers’ lives are saved.
One such dog is Taylor whom her fellow soldiers call Tay-Tay.
During her two deployments, Tay-Tay did amazing job and everyone spoke of her readiness to act quickly in life-threatening situations. And as everyone loved this heroic dog, there was one person who never left her side during serving away from home. Sargent Tom Hanson and Tay-Tay became best buddies and kept each-other’s back.
Tay-Tay is now retired and her life is no longer in danger of bombs and the enemies. When a dog finishes their mission of serving the country, they are usually put up for adoption. Many times, the soldiers who were their companions during deployment are interested to take them in, but this rarely happens because those reunions cost lots of money.
But you know how they say it, where there is will, there is way, and Molli Oliver is the kind-hearted person who does her best to make former service pals to be reunited again.
Molli is a flight attendant whose mission in life is to bring former military dogs and soldiers together. How she do it? Using her own money.
This time, Molli was touched by the story of Sgt. Hanson and Tay-Tay and she made their reunion a reality.
The emotional moment was caught on video, and we can see Sgt. Hanson’s excitement. The moment the dog runs into the arms of her best friend is simply amazing.
9-year-old Trinity Ottoson-Smith from Minneapolis who was shot in the head while attending a friend’s birthday party and jumping on a trampoline succumbed to her injuries.
FOX 9 reported that sweet Trinity was fighting for her life for nearly two weeks before she died.
Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder shared the devastating news. “For the last 12 days, she fought for her life and today that fight ended. At 4:04 p.m. she was pronounced deceased at the hospital.”

After she was struck by a bullet, Trinity was rushed to North Memorial Health Hospital and placed in critical condition.
“Our officers who showed up at this scene with the nine-year-old girl critically injured with a gunshot to her head knowingly violated policy by picking this girl up, running her to the squad and taking her to the hospital, doing what they could to save her life. That’s who the Minneapolis Police Department is,” Elder said.

Sadly, Trinity is just one of three children who suffered from gun violence in North Minneapolis within weeks of one another.
Six-year-old Aniya Allen was also killed by a gun while she was driving with her parents. 10-year-old Ladavionne Garrett Jr. who was shot in the same manner, while being in a vehicle with his parents, remains in critical condition.
None of the cases has been solved, and currently, there is a $30,000 reward for any information that could lead to the wrongdoers in the three cases.
The grieving families are urging the country to wage war on gun violence.
Byron “Tanner” Cross, a PE teacher at Leesburg Elementary school, Virginia, has been put on paid administrative leave because he spoke his mind during the Loudon County Public Schools meeting last Tuesday concerning a policy for “Rights of Transgender and Gender-Expansive Students.”
The Christian teacher took a stand and refused to address the transgender students with their preferred pronouns, as reported by The New York Post. He referred to policy 8040 which states: “LCPS staff shall allow gender-expansive or transgender students to use their chosen name and gender pronouns that reflect their gender identity without any substantiating evidence, regardless of the name and gender recorded in the student’s permanent educational record.”
The clip of Byron ‘Tanner’ Cross blasting the county’s gender policy during a school board meeting on Tuesday was earlier shared on social media. pic.twitter.com/TJq940xgRB
He started his speech, which has been shared online, saying: “My name is Tanner Cross and I am speaking out of love for those who are suffering from gender dysphoria.”
“It’s not my intention to hurt anyone, but there are certain truths that we must face when ready,” he continued.
“I love all of my students, but I will never lie to them regardless of the consequences.
“I’m a teacher, but I serve God first, and I will not affirm that a biological boy can be a girl and vice versa because it’s against my religion.
“It’s lying to a child, it’s abuse to a child, and it’s sinning against our God.”
Highlighting this respectful, civil protest against the language of transgenderism:
“I love all of my students but I will never lie to them regardless of the consequences. I’m a teacher but I serve God first and I will not affirm that a biological boy can be …
Addressing the board, Cross went on to discuss a “60 Minutes” special which revealed that a number of young people who made physical changes to their bodies are now in the process of de-transitioning.
The school refused to reveal the exact reasons as to why Cross was put on paid leave stating that the matter was private and the teachers’ files were confidential.
However, Cross’ wife took to Facebook to confirm her husband was put on leave because he gathered the courage to speak out loud about the issue that concerns America.
As Americans, we believe that every American has the right to their beliefs, but NO AMERICAN HAS THE RIGHT TO IMPOSE THEIR BELIEFS ON OTHERS,” she wrote.
“We spoke out first and foremost to protect the children and also to defend the first amendment rights of teachers and staff.”
According to Fox News, the school sent parents an e-mail saying that Cross is put on paid leave and that his duties will be covered by a substitute teacher.
5-year-old Eitan Biran who was the sole survivor of the deadly cable car crash in the Italian mountains is out of intensive care and has spoken to his aunt who has been by his side ever since the tragedy in which he lost his parents, his brother, and his great-grandparents took place.
The Times of Israel reports that Eitan was told that he had been asleep for a few days and that he is asking for his parents.
Eitan’s condition was critical as he suffered multiple injuries including broken bones. Luckily, he didn’t suffer any neurological injuries despite hurting his head. According to the doctors who treat him, Eitan only managed to survive all thanks to his father’s embrace. “In order to be able to survive the terrible impact, it is likely that the father, who was of robust build, wrapped his son in a hug,” the Regina Margherita Hospital in Turin said, as cited by Italian la Repubblica newspaper.

The investigation regarding the crash is still ongoing. So far, the Italian police have arrested three senior managers from the cable car operating company. Allegedly, they deliberately deactivated the emergency that should have prevented the cable car from falling backwards when the cable snapped, as per The Guardian.
According to The Times of Israel, the boy’s family, his father Amit Biran, 30, his mother Tal Peleg-Biran, 26, his younger brother Tom Biran,2, and his great-grand parents Barbara and Yitzhak Cohen, 71 and 81, who traveled to Italy because of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, have all been buried in Israel.

Three Italian families offered to adopt Eitan and the Italian Jewish organizations have gathered together to help the boy.
Among the other victims of the horrific tragedy was a 40-year-old doctor who had been on the front-lines of the COVID-19 pandemic and her boyfriend.
Engaged couple Silvia Malnati 27, and Alessandro Merlo, 29, who had taken the trip to celebrate Silvia getting her economics degree were also killed in the crash.

Mensa, the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world, has just welcomed their newest and youngest American member ever. Believe it or not, Kashe Quest, a 2-year-old girl from California, has an IQ level of 146, which is 46 points above the national average in the U.S.
The Mensa international website states that the most widely-known and used IQ tests are Stanford-Binet and Cattell. A person becomes a member if they score between 132 and 148, which counts for the 2 percent of all people.
The site also states that those scoring 145 or above are considered “genius or near genius,” just like Kashe.

With the official start of the summer a lot of people are eager to hit the beaches and have fun under the sun. However, experts issue warnings for beach-goers to be extra careful when going swimming in the ocean because of the unpredictable rip currents.
Sadly, an awful tragedy took place over the weekend when a father of four was pulled by a rip current while trying to save two of his children. The devastating incident took place in Huguenot Park in Jacksonville, Florida.
People who found themselves at the scene rushed inside the water and formed a human chain thus managed to save the kids, aged 4 and 9, but their dad, 31-year-old Larry Dupree, slipped under the water.
BREAKING: A body recovery mission is underway after a swimmer disappeared at Huguenot Park, sources told News4Jax.
News4Jax was told the swimmer, who was described as a man wearing black shorts, took children into the water and has not been seen since. This was at 1:30. pic.twitter.com/RjjbxXPo27
Rod Sullivan, a maritime expert, spoke to News4Jax about the tragedy and what led to it saying: “If you’re going in chest deep, you don’t have any chance against the rip current. You won’t win. If you’re out there with small children and they’ve been caught in the rip current, it’s hard. You could put yourself at great risk.”
What started as a rescue mission ended as a recovery operation. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department beach patrol discovered the lifeless body of Dupree on Monday morning.

This father made the ultimate sacrifice. He lost his life in an attempt to save those of his children.
Larry’s wife, Heather Dupree, took the time to thank the strangers who helped in saving her kids. “I want all of the people from the beach yesterday who helped me with my kids to know how truly thankful I am from the bottom of my heart for their love, kindness, [and] thoughtfulness,” she told First Coast News.

Losing your child in public is probably one of the worst feelings ever. The thing is that little children get distracted easily, so it’s no wonder if they wander around when you take your eyes off of them even for a second.
One mom, who knows the feeling of despair which comes with such situations, is sharing a useful tip on how to find your child easily. She knows that most parents just start looking around silently, and she believes that’s not the way to do it because a lot of time could be wasted. Instead, she shares on TikTok that as they search, parents should shout out loud the description of their child.

Jess Cakmakli believes this technique is very helpful, and a number of parents who have tried it agree.
She gives an example of how it should all look and sound like. “I’m looking for a boy, age 5, short brown hair, brown eyes, Caucasian, red Nike T-shirt, black shorts.”
This way, in case someone tries to kidnap the child, they may get scared and let go of their evil intentions. Plus, it’s way easier when more people are involved in the search.

Jess shares how she stumbled upon this tip some time ago in a Facebook group about parenting and it stuck with her ever since.
She believes that no parents should be ashamed of screaming details of how their child looks like, even if they find him or her right away. “That’s your best-case scenario: You look stupid and your kid is right there and you just go home. But if it’s the worst-case scenario, you just saved your kid’s life,” Jess says.

One mother from Australia wrote how she tried Jess’ technique when she thought her son was missing and people managed to find him after 10 minutes down another aisle at Kmart.

We always speak of the unbreakable bond between siblings, but are we aware that animals feel the same way for their brothers and sisters? Yes, animals have feelings. They feel joy and sadness probably the same way we do, and this story is just another proof of that.
Two dogs who were part of the same litter and were adopted by two different families stumbled upon each other during a walk with their owners, and the most incredible thing ever happened. Believe it or not, they recognized each other, and instead of playing, as most dogs do, Monty and Rosie hugged and kissed.

Rosie’s mom, Susan Killip spoke to The Dodo and said:“There were six of them But Monty and Rosie were always together.”
Killip explained how a friend of hers adopted Monty and took care of Rosie for a couple of weeks before Killip adopted her. “It was so lovely, they both just jumped up and hugged each other. It was amazing they remembered each other after 10 months of not seeing each other,” Susan added.

The cute story only went viral after a woman named Libby Pincher shared it online along with a screenshot of the conversation she had with her dad which said: “So, Dave was out walking his dog, and there was a couple walking towards him with a white version of his dog. Turns out they are brother and sister from the same litter. But instead of just playing like they do with other dogs, look at this.”
Many said that late Steve Irwin’s children had big shoes to fill when they decided to follow into his footsteps, but they are showing the world that they are continuing their father’s legacy in the best way possible. The love they feel for the animals is enormous and their efforts to preserve different species is effortless.

Steve Irwin, TheCrocodile Hunter star and one of the most famous conservationists and wildlife experts died aged 44 in what is described as a freak accident. He was pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
Today, his wife Terri, his son Robert and daughter Bindi run the Australia Zoo. Last year, during the devastating wildfire which struck their homeland, the Irwin family helped save tens of thousands of animals. They save approximately 800 koalas each year. Animals which are one of the most famous species of Australia and which hold a very special place in the hearts of the Irwins. In fact, one of the most famous photos of Steve is the one holding a koala in his arms.
In March of this year, the family shared some extraordinary news. Bindi and her husband Chandler welcomed a baby daughter, Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, and the world welcomed a new “Wildlife Warrior.”
Grace’s parents, as well as her grandma and her uncle, are installing the love for animals in her by introducing her to various species, one at a time.
Last month, the family treated the fans with a photo of Terri and Grace around chickens, and now, an adorable photo of the little princess meeting a koala for the first time melted our hearts.
“We have had lots of smiles, the best giggles and we’ve met a koala!” Chandler wrote. “Our gorgeous little Wildlife Warrior princess,” Bindi commented.
Teachers don’t have it easy these days. They always find themselves torn between a bunch of tasks such as conducting daily evaluation reports, preparing teaching plans for kids with different educational backgrounds, grading papers and homework, and above all the parents whose children are always right, and certain school policies that are ridiculous and can get you fired if you don’t stick to them.
The ‘no zero’ policy is something many teachers are expected to follow. That basically means that the lowest possible grade the teacher should give is 50%, even if the student doesn’t hand in ANY assignment at all.
Now if you think this is something that only private schools stick to, you are wrong. Many public schools expect from the teachers to give higher marks to the students just for attending school, without actually doing anything during lesson time. That means giving someone 50% for not participating in the discussions, not doing homework, and not being active in class. Now whereas there are teachers that follow this rule, there are also those like Diane Tirado who would never agree to follow along.
Tirado is not a newbie, but an experienced teacher who recently got a job at Westgate K-8 School in Port St. Lucie. She didn’t really do anything different than any other teacher, she simply expected from her student to do their assignments and that was it, but her teaching methods came under fire.
After she assigned a project that some students didn’t hand in, she gave them zeros. She even allowed them two weeks additional time to do the project, but they still didn’t turn their work in.
However, the school follows the ‘no zero’ policy and Tirado was asked to give those students the 50% for the assignment to which she categorically said No.
Due to her refusal to award the students for not handing in their work, after just a few weeks on the job, this teacher was fired. She let her students know the reason she was no longer going to be their teacher.
‘“Bye Kids, Mrs. Tirado loves you and wishes you the best in life! I have been fired for refusing to give you a 50% for not handing anything in.”
The termination letter didn’t specify why she was fired because she was still on a probation period.
Tirado is not sorry for losing her job because she knows she did the right thing.
“A grade in Mrs. Tirado’s class is earned,” she said.
“I’m so upset because we have a nation of kids that are expecting to get paid and live their life just for showing up and it’s not real,”
she added.
Her story is going viral and she hopes all schools will change this policy.
“The reason I took on this fight was because it was ridiculous. Teaching should not be this hard. Teachers teach content, children do the assignments to the best of their ability and teachers grade that work based on a grading scale that has been around a very long time. Teachers also provide numerous attempts to get the work collected so they can give a child a grade. By nature, most teachers are loving souls who want to see students succeed. We do above and beyond actual teaching to give them the support they need. Are we perfect? NO. We make mistakes like all other human beings, but I know teachers work their butts off to help children to be the best people they can be!!!”
Most of the people who came across Tirado’s story are praising her for her decision to object to something she believes is not right and contradicts her grading system.
‘“Is that for real? I’d be out of a job also,”
wrote a teacher.
‘“A teacher should have the right to decide the grade a child receives. If they simply do not turn in the work, an F they should receive … If you start handing out 50% to everyone that does not turn in their work, what example does that teach? The child needs to be held accountable for the work they do not turn in,”
”
one Facebook user commented.
‘“I’m so sorry you have to deal with all of this! I fully support you. If nothing is turned in I absolutely think a zero is deserved. By giving them credit for not turning anything in I think teaches them the wrong lesson that can be applied to many aspects in life. Hang in there,”
another chimed in.
However, Tirado is not the only teacher who got fired over the same reason. Another case is about a teacher who stood up and won.
Lynden Dorval taught physics in Edmonton, Canada at Ross shepherd High School that also has the ‘no zero’ policy. The school let him go because he gave zeros to students not willing to hand in the work assigned.
Less than a week after he was terminated, Dorval was offered a job at a private school.
‘“Our evaluation policy is generally left up to the teachers,” Peter Mitchell, head of Tempo School, who hired Dorval, told CBC. “I think students here wouldn’t be surprised to get a zero if they didn’t do their work.”
After the case went to court, Dorval received compensation for the termination. He received an increase in this pension and two years salary.
‘“I knew that what I did was right and whether it was legal or not it was the right thing to do and the support of family, friends and colleagues, and former students even, really has helped get me through this,”
he said.
We hope that this story will make schools understand that this policy is not something teachers are happy to work by. As for Mrs. Tirado, we wish she finds another job and continues doing what she does best, and that’s teaching.
It’s not often that we meet people who have been doing the same job their entire life. It does take a lot of commitment and dedication to be doing something for over 40 years, doesn’t it?
A video of a pilot’s farewell speech to his passengers is so heart-melting that it has been seen over 18 million times on TikTok only. It has been recently shared by author and former American athlete Lewis Howes after it was shared on YouTube in January of last year.
Before he takes the Delta Airlines passenger on the final flight of his life, Captain Conrad turns to them and says: “Before I go, I just want to ask you a quick question. Can I see a show of hands, how many people here were born before 1976?”
As a number of hands go up, the pilot says jokingly: “Oh we got a lot of old people on this plane. I’m disappointed.” He then continues his speech explaining how his career started back in 1976 with his first training flight in the Air Force, at the Air Force Academy in Colorado. “[And] 43 years later, and eight different aeroplanes, and about 10,000-12,000 flights and 25,000 hours of flying,” he says, “I’m glad to have you here on my last flight.”
The passengers cheer him with a huge round of applause as he admits that he feels emotional because it is hard to hang up after so much time.
“Anyway, in case you’re wondering if we’re going to have a good flight, we are, because I have my wife here,” he adds, to chuckles from passengers, “so this is probably going to be the safest flight you’ve ever been on”.
What a touching moment. We wish Captain Conrad a happy retirement.
It certainly takes a lot of courage and determination to decide a marriage is over. Despite the vows and the promise “for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death,” things get though at times, and not many are willing or have the strength to continue being part of what looks like a relationship with no future. And yes, it is oftentimes better to put a stop rather than struggle and waste your life.

Cheating

scabbymonkey explained:
After 20yrs of marriage I realized that I could never be anything she needed. I wasn’t spiritual enough, didn’t make enough money even with working two full time jobs ( > 120K a year), didn’t know Jesus like she did and that every bad emotion was caused by something I either did do or didn’t do. I grew up with a mom that did this and it was frightening to see that I recreated my childhood to the tee.

No Bedside Manner

I had been in hospital the night before and they had planned to do surgery for suspected appendicitis. It turned out not to be so acute so the surgery was cancelled and I was discharged and instructed to rest. By that morning, I hadn’t eaten for almost two days. Husband comes to the hospital to pick me up. He sat in the car about a block away with the engine running waiting for me to walk to where he was. He called his work to say he was taking the day off to look after me. In reality, he spent the day in bed or playing PC games. There was no food in the house and he refused to go grocery shopping because that was my job. By now I’m super hungry and still in pain from the niggling appendix. I asked if he could sort dinner for us. He pretty much picked a fight with me over that. I said I didn’t need this in my life and he responded, “Well we can get a divorce if you want!” I said, “Yes please. I’ve actually been thinking about that for a while.”

I was at home with our newborn and he didn’t come home one weekend. He finally came home at about 3 am on Monday and promptly passed out without saying anything. I checked his phone ( I know, I know) and there were pictures of his best friends girlfriend on his phone. He claimed it was ok to spend time with her and get pictures from her because she and her boyfriend were swingers. He doesn’t know that it’s not how that works. In a moment of rage I forwarded the pictures to his best friend. I found out they were not swingers when the guy got angry about the pictures and smashed the windshield of his girlfriends car. I took the kids the next day and moved out.

Severe and harsh weather conditions might be the reason for us to opt for staying in all day with a cup of coffee and a good book by our side, but that’s definitely something our dogs wouldn’t want us to do. No matter the season, they always feel the urge to get outside for a long walk or a round of run around.
However, it’s not that unusual for our four-legged buddies to get into trouble because of their crave to go out in the cold.
They might be really smart, but yet, many times they are not aware of the dangers around them, such as those of walking on thin ice. Sadly, the number of dogs that end up inside the frozen ponds and lakes is not that small. When this happens, they not only put their own life in danger, but that of those who do their best to save them too.

The recent story of a dog experiencing this sort of accident is that of Sadie from Bozeman, Montana. As she got trapped inside the cold water, it was just a matter of time when she was going to drown or freeze to death before she was rescued. A man in a rowboat was struggling to get her out, but to no avail.
That’s when the brave UPS driver Ryan Arens heard the loud howling and screaming. He was on the job, but still decided to check where the crying was coming from and what was going on. He got back into his vehicle and drove around the place. The moment he noticed the boat, he didn’t hesitate to step in and help.
“I could see the dog trapped about 10-15 feet off of shore, with ice all around it,” Arens said, according to the Great Falls Tribune. “I stripped to my boxers and got the guy out of the boat.”
“Then I slid the boat out onto the ice, using it to distribute my weight. I shimmed out to where the ice was thin.”
It was obvious poor Sadie wouldn’t hold on much longer so as she started going under, Arens broke through the ice.
“I knew someone had to get to her,” he later explained. “She wasn’t going to make it.”
He decided to ignore the warnings and started swimming towards the dog. Luckily, he managed to grab her and get her out to the edge of the deep pond.
“We took the dog inside the older guy’s house and got in the shower together to warm up,” Arens said.
He could have waited for the animal control to react but he was certain that by the time they would arrive Sadie could be dead.
The world needs more people like him ❤ PETA is awarding this UPS driver a Compassionate Action Award for rescuing a dog…
After the amazing and risky rescue, Arens got back to delivering the rest of the packages, as though he didn’t put his life on the line that day.
The best thing is that after some time Arens was about to deliver Sadie’s owner a package which meant he was going to reunite with her again. The encounter was really sweet.
“She was freaking out, and when he let her out she ran to me. She must have remembered me. It sure made me feel good.”
“This dog had a whole lot of life left in her, and I’m really glad I was able to act when I did. She’s a sweetheart.”
“Animals are my weakness,” Arens said. “It was the highlight of my 14-year UPS career.”

This story is just another proof that not all heroes wear capes. To be honest, not many people in Aren’s situation would react the same way. But this amazing man knows that no matter how big or small, every life matters and is worth saving. Thank you Ryan Arens.
For a young child, or any person in general, to experience bullying means for their self-confidence and life to change a great deal, sometimes forever. The sad reality is that some people never get to overcome the fear from being a victim of bullying.
Although we are all very well aware of the negative impact and the consequences of this devastating phenomenon, it looks like the institutions where it takes place the most, the schools, don’t do a lot in order to prevent it from taking place.
Just recently, the photos of a 13-year-old girl who got attacked by a schoolmate during a PE lesson were shared online and people were left furious.
The photos show seventh grader Charlee Funes covered in bruises after she was beaten by her classmate. “She took her chest on my back and pushed me down,” Charlee, who attends Gardner Grade School in Grundy County, in Illinois, told 6 ABC News of the incident.
The photos were only shared by Charlee’s brother after the school refused to do address the issue.
“I was told the girl would receive two days’ suspension. And no charges would be filed against the girl because it was her first offense,” Kim Funes, Charlee’s mother, told 6 ABC News. “I taught my kids to do unto others as they want to be done unto them,” she added.
A lot of people reacted to the story and many wondered why Kim didn’t take matters in her own hands. They believed she should confront the bully’s mom and even smack her. But Kim said that she doesn’t believe she should be answering to violence with violence. “But two wrongs don’t make a right. We have to do what’s right,” she said.
After the incident gathered attention, the school district superintendent sent a statement to families assuring them that the students’ safety is their number one priority.
“In response to the incident, the District immediately began an investigation. Throughout the investigation, the District worked collaboratively with law enforcement, and took immediate action in response to the student who committed the misconduct.
“While the District is unable to share the details of the investigation and the actions taken to respond to the misconduct due to student confidentiality and privacy laws, the District takes all incidents of misconduct seriously and our student’s safety is always our first priority.”

From the moment they are told they are carrying a baby until the moment the little bundle of joy is welcomed into the world, most moms have mixed emotions regarding the journey of nine months that most refer to as the best period of a woman’s life. No matter how happy they are, the question of whether everything was going to be fine until they hold their baby in their arms is always present, and this is especially true if the mother-to-be experienced a miscarriage before.
When their son Carson was born, parents Syman and Lindsay Hay from New Jersey were over the moon. But they always knew they wanted a big family so the thought of having more kids was still there.
However, things didn’t go as planned as Lindsay went through several miscarriages and they were told she had “poor egg quality” which meant conceiving naturally would be almost impossible.
Doctors suggested they should try a treatment with an injectable hormone called Follistim before they turn to IVF. This gave them hope and they decided to give this treatment a go.
“The theory behind the drugs was that if I produced more than one egg per cycle, I’d catch a good one faster. We had to try this, plus timed intercourse six times, before moving on to IVF,” Lindsay told BuzzFeed.
To their surprise and delight, this treatment gave them what they expected for so long, and so much more than the baby they dreamed of. Lindsay was pregnant with quadruplets, which happens once in 700,000 pregnancies.
This was awesome news, but knowing she lost babies before, both Lindsay and her husband feared for the life of the four babies she was now carrying.
“I was in a lot of denial because I was told I had poor egg quality, and I just didn’t believe it. My husband was silent and white as a ghost,” Lindsay said.
Luckily, each of the ultrasounds showed the little babies were developing normally.
“You carry the pain of miscarriage with you wherever you go, and even after being on the other side with my rainbow babies here, it still hurts. I don’t think I’ll ever fully heal. It definitely made me stronger, though, and gave me new perspective and appreciation for just how big of a miracle these babies and all babies really are,” this mom-to-be said.
The pregnancy wasn’t an easy one, however, and Lindsay spoke of her fears, her anxiousness, and the uncertainty she felt all the way. On top of that, she experienced fatigues and nausea.
At 20 weeks into her pregnancy, doctors told Lindsay how her cervix was getting thin and that she had to take a lot of rest and reduce her movements. When she reached 30 weeks and 4 days, doctors told her it was the time for her bundles of joy to be delivered.
This brave mother gave birth via c-section and welcomed four healthy babies into the world. Because they were tiny, the quadruplets had to spend around seven weeks in the NICU after which they headed home to be around their big brother and their caring mommy and daddy.
Lindsay documented her incredible journey with a lot of photos of her huge belly and kept her Instagram followers updated. Many commented that it really takes a strong personality to give birth to four babies all at once and loved how Lindsay spoke of her pregnancy and their children.
Her fans were eager to see how life is like with five children in the house, but Lindsay couldn’t really post every day because she had her hands full. “I rarely get a minute to myself. I’m constantly in motion and have learned how to move quickly and multitask. I sleep less. I worry more. But I will say this: The expression ‘full hands, fuller hearts’ has never resonated with me more. I am so overjoyed with happiness and fulfillment, and every day I wake up wondering how I got so lucky. I have everything I prayed for and more. We are so blessed,” she wrote.
What was really special about this mother is that she breastfed all of her children. It does sound like a lot of work, but she wanted to form that special bond with each of them. The Hays are a blessed family and we wish them all the best in the years to come.
This is the amazing story of a mother and a wife from Arizona named Lyndee. One day, as this 45-year-old woman’s son entered the house, he saw her helplessly laying on the floor.
Seeing his mother in such state terrified him very much, but he pulled himself together and called 911. Lyndee was quickly rushed to hospital where she stayed for 12 days.
The medics were unable to identify the reason for Lyndee’s condition. And as her husband Steve, her daughter Amanda, and her son Steven prayed for a miracle, doctors said there was nothing that could be done and advised the family to turn off her life support.
Hearing this, her family decided to do what they were told. They also agreed for Lyndee’s organs to be donated afterwards as she always said she wanted to be an organ donor.
“My family knows I am an avid organ donor so when my organs started to fail, they made the decision — it was time to make that decision,” Lyndee would later explain.
Family members visited Lyndee to say that final goodbye to the amazing woman that she has always been. But, no one knew that Lyndee wasn’t brain dead as everyone believed. She could hear every word her loved ones said to her during the time she was in coma.
The phenomenon of being unable to move and react, but being able to hear is known as being “locked in,” and Lyndee was experiencing it firsthand.
“I remember people talking to me,” Lyndee recalled. “I remember when people came to visit, my niece reading to me.”
When the time came for Lyndee’s husband to say goodbye, he said, “You’re a fighter. I need you to fight.”
This made Lyndee even more determined to find the strength to tell everyone that she was still there.
“In my head, it was very clear what I was saying, but it wasn’t to them,” she explained.
Then, at one moment, she whispered, “I’m a fighter.”
Both her family and the doctors were left in complete shock. Steve even told the doctors how they made a huge mistake as his wife did everything they said she wouldn’t do ever again. She woke up, and spoke.
Amanda recalled the moment she found out her mother was alive. “I looked at her, and she just says, ‘Hi,’ and I just fell to my knees,” she said.
The road to full recovery was a long and a tough one as Lyndee had to learn how to walk and feed herself again. She also experienced a number of health issues along the way and underwent four surgeries.
“They released me with home healthcare to continue learning everything,” she said.
Now, four years after she fell in coma, Lyndee Brown Pellettiere-Swapp still has no answer of why she fell unconscious that day. She doesn’t even know how she woke up from the coma. But what’s important is that she’s doing great now.
She wants others to hear her story and know that “Just because you’re not conscious doesn’t mean you can’t hear.”
“So you should talk to your loved ones if you are in that situation. They hear you,” she told CBS 5 Arizona.
Her story teaches us that we should never take things for granted and we should always make sure we tell our family and friends how much we love them as life can turn for the worse when we least expect that.
“Keep your family close and don’t let them go. I don’t take for granted that I get to come home and kiss my mom,” Lyndee’s son Steven said.
“Every day I come home from work, seeing her and talking to her,” Steven continued.

Harry and Meghan marked their third wedding anniversary by announcing they were building its next Community Relief Center in India in partnership with World Central Kitchen through their Archewell Foundation.
They didn’t celebrate big because Meghan is heavily pregnant with the couple’s second child, a baby girl due this summer.
“I know that at the end of the day, she chooses me. I choose her. Whatever we have to tackle will be us together as a team.” – Prince Harry.
However, we can’t help but think back of what was one of the most watched wedding ceelbrations ever. The beautiful ceremony of tying the knot between Harry and Meghan took place on on May 19, 2018. Among the guests were a lot of celebrities such as George Clooney, David and Victoria Beckham, Serena Williams, James Corden, and Oprah Winfrey. Meghan wore a wedding dress designed by Givenchy’s then-creative director, Clare Waight Keller, and the stunning Queen Mary’s bandeau tiara which belonged to the Queen’s grandmother, Queen Marry.
News on an incident which took place a day prior to the royal wedding involving the tiara has emerged recently.
A royal source revealed that Meghan requested from one of the Queen’s closest aides and friends, Angela Kelly, to give her the tiara to try on. Angela, who is a fashion designer and dressmaker who has served Queen Elizabeth for over 20 years, refused to allow an access to the tiara at such a short notice. It has been reported by The Mirror that Angela said how Meghan and Harry didn’t follow the royal protocol and added: “I’m very sorry, that’s not how it works. There’s protocol in place over these jewels. They’re kept under very tight lock and key. You can’t turn up and demand to have the tiara just because your hairdresser happens to be in town.”
Allegedly, Harry wasn’t happy with the answer and used rude language. The Queen was alerted of “the incident” and requested a meeting with her grandson. It was said by the royal source that she “scolded” him for behaving in such a rude manner and using “bad language.”

We can’t be sure if the royal source is telling the truth or not. The fact is that the royal family is now experiencing a “turmoil” and trying to reconcile their differences after the Sussexes stepped down from their royal duties, left Britain, and accused the Royals of many things, including racism.
