Woman who said she gave birth to 10 babies at once was lying, authorities claim

When a woman named Gosiame Thamara Sithole claimed she gave birth to ten babies at once, her story spread all over the world like a wildfire.

As it sounded incredible to many, authorities dig dipper and the real truth was revealed, which caused controversy and made many talking.

The news about the unique birth was initially shared by the news site Pretoria News in June 2021. They claimed that the 37-year-old mother delivered her babies at Steve Biko Academic Hospital in South Africa.

Allegedly, Sithole and her partner Teboho, from the working-class township in the Gauteng province, near Johannesburg, were initially told they were expecting eight babies and were left shocked after the birth of their decuplets. A number of world renowned magazines and outlets such as BBC shared this incredible story.

Pretoria News dubbed the babies as the ‘Tembisa 10’ and the story seemed legit as a number of details were involved. At the time, nothing spoke that the entire story could be made up.

Sithole was also reported to have spoken with Pretoria News prior to the delivery of her babies. According to the news paper, she said: “I am shocked by my pregnancy. It was tough at the beginning. I was sick. It was hard for me. It’s still tough but I am used to it now. I don’t feel the pain anymore, but it’s still a bit tough. I just pray for God to help me deliver all my children in a healthy condition, and for me and my children to come out alive. I would be pleased about it.”

However, as many people became suspicious, authorities decided to dig dipper, especially because the story turned into a world news and the happy couple received plenty of donations. The thorough investigation showed that no hospital, state or private, had any records of such a birth.

What’s most, authorities claimed that Sithole wasn’t even pregnant in the first place.

“It has now been established by medical practitioners that Ms. Sithole did not give birth to any babies in recent times,” the Gauteng Provincial Government said.

“It has also been established that she was not pregnant in recent times.”

The question which arose was why someone would lie about the number of babies they had or that they were pregnant in the first place? Well, it looks like authorities don’t have the answer to this question, especially because the author of the article which first shared the story stood by what he wrote. For long, he insisted the story was truthful.

“Instead of being a cause for celebration however, it has resulted in an orchestrated campaign to discredit the story, the mother of the decuplets Ms Sithole, the Pretoria News’ editor, Piet Rampedi, as well as Independent Media and its chairperson, Dr Iqbal Survé, with claims that the story is ‘fake news’. It is not and we stand by our story,” Independent Media said.

As authorities threatened to pursue legal actions against the journalist who broke the news about the sensational birth, journalist Piet Rampedihe, who was also a close friend to Sithole and her husband, he confessed that his story might have contained some mistakes. He claimed that he saw Sithole with a huge bump and he only learned she had 10 babies after she texted him and told him that.

“Even though I stand by the fact that Sithole was pregnant, some aspects of the story could have been dealt with differently. Could I have handled the story much better? Definitely! Especially the verification process. Quite honestly, I never treated the decuplets story as an investigation at all. I used no investigative tool or checklist,” Piet wrote, according to News24.

He believed they had no reason to lie to him so he went on and published the incredible story.

It is still unclear why the mother lied about the pregnancy and the babies. In the meantime, the alleged mother has been offered help.

This story is still surrounded by mystery.

Thieves attempting to slaughter horses for meat thwarted by Rottweilers in Florida

Recently, many cases of horses being slaughtered for their meet have been reported and owners are left worried because they don’t know how to protect these animals from being killed. Most of these cases took place in Florida. One horse owner named Brena Kramer of Zephyrhills speaks of a devastating incident of this manner and says that if it wasn’t for her two Rottweilers who scared the intruders, her horses would have been long gone.

When she got up one morning and went to check on the horses, she noticed they had cuts on their faces and one of them still had a rope around its neck.

Brena leaves the dogs to patrol outside and is convinced the intruders failed to kill the horses because they got scared of the Rottweilers.

She wants other horse owners to know of the dangers because the situation with the horse slaughtering in Florida is concerning.

“It is common down South. It’s something most horse owners know about, especially in Florida,” she told Fox13. “They will bleed them out and start butchering while the horse is bleeding.”

Although many people believe Pit Bulls are dogs to be avoided, these creatures’ loving personality and their heroic deeds that we hear more of every single day help fight the stereotypes about their breed.

Robert McGowan, a Pit Bull owner, found himself in a terrifying situation. He was attacked in his home, and believed there was no chance of making it alive from the fight, but then his dogs stepped up.

When Robert decided to welcome canines in his home, Ladybug and Ellabelle were the first dogs he spotted and he describes the encounter as love at first sight. He always loved them unconditionally, but never really thought there would come a time when they would literally save his life.

The shelter staff warned Robert about the dogs telling him how they were neglected and probably abused in the past which could make them aggressive, but that didn’t stop him from taking them in. They were terrified and he knew deep down that if he didn’t adopt them they could easily end up being euthanized.

“They’re very docile and timid. They’re not aggressive at all,” Robert explained.

Once in their new home, Ladybug and Ellabelle spent most of their days taking long walks and napping. They weren’t hostile towards strangers and would never get themselves into trouble, nor they have ever attacked anyone, but that all changed when they realized their owner was in big trouble.

It happened in the spring of 2019 while Robert was in his garage relaxing, when four men entered and started hitting him.

“One just punched me straight in the eye. I was knocked off my chair,” he recalled. They demanded him to give them the car keys.

Puzzled and very scared, Robert told them how his keys were inside the house. Wanting to steal more than just the car, the burglars invited themselves in not knowing Robert’s girls were there. Ladybug and Ellabelle sprung into action and rushed to defend Robert. The two loving dogs suddenly turned into real beasts who wouldn’t stop barking.

The burglars panicked and started running for their life. They definitely didn’t expect to come face-to-face with America’s most feared dog breed. No matter how loving these two dogs were, showing their fangs was the right thing to do. We guess the intruders could imagine the horror of being bitten.

By the way, they didn’t manage to take any of Robert’s belongings, and left both empty-handed and scared out of their wits.

“They chased them out. They stood there barking, making it clear that no one was going to hurt me anymore. The four people took off,” Robert said, proud of his dear dogs.

Robert ended up with a black eye, but it was nothing compared to what could have happened to him if it wasn’t for his brave girls.

He was beyond grateful and returned the favor. “They got toys and treats. They got good stuff,” he said with a smile.

Robert hopes that what happened to him and how his dogs reacted to the attack on him would help change the way many see Pit Bulls. He wants everyone to know how loyal they are and urges potential adopters to rescue a dog of this breed from a shelter.

“They are rescues. Unwanted dogs. They saved my life. Please consider adopting a rescue. They might save your life too,” Robert urged.

The relationship of Robert and his furry babies revolves around love and mutual understanding. He was there for them when they needed a home, and proved that he made the right chose when he decided to open the doors to his home and heart for them.

Being given the chance to live in their natural habitat, animals thrive. The truth is that the nature is the only place where wild animals should spend their days. Sadly, a huge number of them end up locked up and are used for profit by people.

Circuses are the places many people find amusing. But as we think of the fun we have while watching wild animal perform different acts, we often forget about the suffering they go through. Zoos aren’t much different. Sadly, it looks like many of us don’t care.

The captivated animals who end up at such places pay the ultimate price. Luckily, it seems like that as years go by, humans’ awareness about wild animals is growing more and more. A number of animal advocates and organizations are speaking up about the animals’ rights and they do make a change in the lives of these creatures.

The following story is a very inspiring one. It speaks of the happy ending four lions who were bread in captivity got after they were rescued.

Angela, Bellone, Saïda, and Louga spent all their lives performing at a circus where the living conditions were far from ideal. These wild cats were undernourished and depressed and were forced to move from one place to another.

Then, in 2018, their lives changed forever. These magnificent animals were freed by the Born Free Foundation.

From the start, the plan was to sent them to South Africa, but that wasn’t as simple as it sounds. Since they were born in captivity and were very fragile, the four lions needed time to heal and get used to a different kind of life. While they stayed at a sanctuary in France, they learned a number of things that would help them be prepared for their lives in their natural habitat.

Sadly, due to the pandemic, their transfer was delayed for a couple of years.

Finally, in February 2022, Angela, Bellone, Saïda, and Louga were transported to South Africa where they will stay at Shamwari Private Game Reserve. There, they are free to run and get to bond with other lions, too. The reserve would serve as a transition as they slowly adjust to their new environment.

“The sights, sounds, and scents of their fellow rescued big cats will heighten their senses immediately as they begin to acclimatize to their new lives. They are now in their forever home in Africa,” Born Free Manager Catherine Gillson told BBC News.

The moment they were released from the cages and smelled the fresh air while they cautiously stepped on the Africam soil was caught on a video which you ca see below.

Cincinnati couple become first time parents after adopting five siblings

Will and Julie Rom, a couple from Cincinnati, Ohio, never had children on their own. They had a hard time conceiving and over time they somehow came to terms with the fact that they won’t be biological parents. However, knowing that they could ease the life of many children in need of a loving home, they became foster parents to a number of children, among which five siblings aged 12 and under.

William, Truth, Marianna, Keyora, and KJ craved love and a mom and dad. They have always dreamed of having a family and prayed to God to stay together. The truth is that not many siblings who end up in the foster system get to be adopted together. Most are separated and some even age out of the system without ever getting a permanent home. Being aware of this, the Roms made a decision to welcome all five of the siblings.

“We’ve always said that when we had children come into our home, we would never have them uprooted another time. If the opportunity came along, that we would just keep them. It’s extremely important that they do stay together because they’ve lost so much from their past.”

Will was overly excited with the idea to become a real dad to these beautiful children he took care of for three years.

“All my life really all I’ve wanted to do is have some sons to play sports with, and everything is going great,” he said.

Finally, on July 27, in Judge Ralph Winkler’s courtroom at Hamilton County Probate Court a life-changing event took place. The siblings became adoptive children to Will and Julie. The decision was welcomed with loud applause. Judge Winkler let the kids strike his gavel as he praised the Roms for adopting them.

“You’re helping the whole community by adopting five children but you’re also helping the system by encouraging other people to do it saying it can be done. It’s not impossible,” Judge Winkler said.

What happened to ‘Tan Mom’ Patricia Krentcil? This is what she looks like today

Patricia Krentcil is a woman who became famous for all the wrong reasons. Her obsession with tanning almost cost her her life. She used to visit the salon for tanning treatments five days a week and it took its toll.

She got obsesses with getting the right tan when she was young, but it wasn’t until 2012 that everyone learned about her. Patricia became an internet phenomenon after she stood trial for taking her daughter with her to the tanning salon.

“I’ve been tanning my whole life, going to the beach, tanning salons and so forth,” she once said.

What she did with herself wasn’t something people bothered about, but when her 6-year-old daughter was left with burns following an alleged tanning treatment, Patricia was charged with child endangerment, as per CBS New York.

Patricia claimed that she never took her daughter Anna with her to the salon and denied any accusations. “No not at all, not at all, not whatsoever,” she said when asked about the charges.

As per ABC, New Jersey law doesn’t permit children under the age of 14 to use tanning services. Children older than 14 can get tanning session with parental consent only.

So what made people believe Patricia took Anna to the salon? As it turned out, a school nurse asked Anna about the light burns on her body to which the girl replied: “I go tanning with mommy.”

Patricia on the other hand said her daughter got sunburns from playing outside in the sun.

“There’s not room… I would never permit it… It didn’t happen,” she said. “She never went in,” Patricia claimed in 2012. “It was beautiful out, and they went into the kiddie pool. She’s a redhead. She got sunburnt.”

“She’s 6 years old. Yes, she does go tanning with mommy, but not in the booth,” she added. “The whole thing’s preposterous!”

This incident brought Patricia the nickname “Tan Mom.” Not only that, but her face was all over the media and the magazines.

“When you look at this, this is somebody who has a problem which most likely has a condition called tanerexia, where they just don’t realize just how much color they have,” New York dermatologist Doris Day told ABC News.

“There’s really no excuse to take a young child to a tanning salon,” she added.

“We often consider going to a tanning salon the equivalent of smoking for the skin and the younger you start, those effects are cumulative.”

Looking at what Patricia looked like after all those tanning sessions, a number of prominent dermatologists took their time to remind the public of the negative effects of excessive tanning.

“In all my years of treating patients as a dermatologist, I have never encountered anything like this,” Zeichner told the NY Daily News.

“Going to a tanning salon 20 times a month, frankly, is insane, especially with all of the public education and awareness campaigns on the dangers of tanning beds and skin cancers.”

“It may be she has an [obsession with] tanning, which actually now has a name – tanorexia. She may need help to treat not only the damage to her skin but also what is going on with her psychologically,” he added.

In 2013, Patricia was cleared of all the charges but still, many people condemned her for her parenting.

All the pressure by the public and the media had a negative effect on Patricia who started drinking. Eventually, the family decided to move from New Jersey to Florida, looking for a fresh start.

Eventually, she decided she could use her fame in order to make some money. Being a mom of five and her husband being out of work, she said she planned on starring in a movie about her life and writing a book. She also claimed that there were plenty of modeling job offers on the table.

“It’s not even near being over,” she said about her moment in the spotlight. “Everyone wants me. I have a lot of other opportunities, so I’m just trying to figure out where to move my family.”

In 2019, Patricia almost lost her life after she suffered cardiac arrest and was diagnosed with severe pneumonia, pancreatitis, and an infection that spread to her lungs.

“They are feeding her very strong antibiotics to kill the infection as well so her system is taking quite a hit. I personally believe last night was the most critical turning point, and she made it so she will only continue to get better. The current plan is to try to extubate and revive her tomorrow or Tuesday, provided she maintains this trajectory,” Patricia’s friend Adam Barta told US Weekly back in 2019.

Luckily, that is all in the past now and Patricia is doing good.

Recently, she posted new picture of herself which clearly show the scars from her tanning days.

Well, it’s not that she stopped tanning entirely. According to her, she still tans twice a day in her own tanning bed.

She might have been mad about being called “Tan Mom” back in the day, but that doesn’t bother her any longer.

“It doesn’t bother me anymore. It’s two separate people,” Patricia explained to The Post in April 2021. “There’s Tan Mom, celebrity, and then there’s Patricia Marie, Mom.”

The wedding ceremony is an important part of couple’s lives so it doesn’t come as a surprise that the newlyweds do all in their power to make the experience the best there is. From the wedding gown, to the flowers and the venue, everything needs to be perfect.

The first dance is also a big part of the most important day of couple’s lives, so when the song was interrupted shortly after bride and groom Melissa Baker and Brad Hewitt started dancing, she was certain their first dance was ruined.

The song was “Like There’s No Yesterday” by Mark Wills, who happened to be the bride’s favorite artist.

As everyone was waiting for the music to be fixed, a voice could be heard saying, “We are gonna do a live version if you don’t mind.” The newlyweds then got ready for their dance again. She didn’t assume anything, but then, as the song started again, she noticed Mark Willis himself taking the stage.

Her reaction is priceless, to say the least. She starts screaming and laughing and is in complete disbelief.

This beautiful and meaningful surprise only confirmed what Melissa knew all to well, that Brad was the one. Her soulmate and the great love of her life.

Devastated mother of two shares why 12 weeks of maternity leave is just not enough

When a woman becomes a mother her entire world changes drastically. All of a sudden everything is about that bundle of joy, and nothing else is as important as making sure the child is well taken care of.

In most countries, women are given plenty of time to be around their little ones before they get back to work. Whether it is nine months, or even two years in some parts of the world, American moms aren’t that lucky. Oftentimes, maternity leave is about 12 weeks long and that is if the new mom is eligible for it. Sadly, many moms in the U.S. aren’t.

When Rachel Larsen gave birth for the first time, she got back to work just eight weeks later. At the time, she didn’t see it as an issue. But when she got her second child, she didn’t feel ready to leave the baby home while she was working. This time, she took 12 weeks of maternity leave, but that didn’t feel enough.

On her first day back to the office, Larsen took a selfie which showed all her pain and devastation. She didn’t share it with anyone until four years later.

She starts her post by writing that she does feel privileged she is even eligible for maternity leave but adds that she feels “shame around raising a family and working full-time.”

She didn’t really have choice as her family depended on her income. “As a majority income source for our family, I was forced to suck it up, put on a smile, and get back to work.”

Larsen shared her story on LinkedIn. Many moms in her position were quick to support her and share their personal stories.

A user by the name of Katarina P. wrote, “I was ‘lucky’ to have 3 months maternity leave with my last 2, but really, who are we kidding? At 3 months old, babies are just barely starting to learn to sleep through the night, which means a mother is returning to work sleep-deprived. Not just ‘didn’t sleep well’; I mean where you maybe got a few hours of sleep (interrupted sleep) every night for the past not just 3 months, but also, who sleeps through the night in the latter half of their pregnancy? To put another perspective: Sleep deprivation is also a torture-tactic in some military settings. Yet we expect mothers to return—sleep-deprived— ready to pull up their sleeves & bounce back & be like ‘normal’ when nothing about their experience there is normal.”

Another user, Marta Tubielewicz (Nestorowska). commented, “Maternity leave in US was one of the greatest cultural shocks I had to deal with. When I was pregnant with my first child, being here in US, in Poland the new maternity law was just established giving women 8 months to 2 year paid time with their children. Fathers were also given paternity leave. I didn’t take a picture on my first day back to work after maternity leave, but it was one of the hardest days in my life…without any exaggeration! Thank you for sharing!”

9-yr-old hears God telling her to look in the bushes – gets closer to it and finds an abandoned baby

A newborn baby boy with the placenta and the umbilical cord still attached was abandoned in someone’s backyard. The little one was exposed to the shining sun and could easily die if an angel in the form of a 9-year-old girl wouldn’t found it by chance.

9-year-old Elysa from Indiana was playing in the backyard when she heard strange noises. She assumed that one of the pigs might have escaped so she decided to go and check. As she was slowly moving around, she noticed tiny pink legs.

At that moment, Elysa started screaming and rushed to the house to alert her mom about the “strange” creature. “It just freaked me out, I didn’t know what it was,” she told CBS 2’s Brad Edwards.

The mother, Heidi Laub, went to check what was going on and that’s when she realized there was a baby near one of the bushes.

“That’s when she was like, ‘Oh my God, it’s a baby,’ and I was like, ‘What?!” Elysia recalled.

“I just saw pink legs kicking away,” Elysia said. “I knew it was alive and I knew we had something. I could not second guess myself. I knew we had to get help.”

Luckily, the little one was taken to the St. Anthony’s Hospital where doctors confirmed nothing was wrong with him. They said the baby was just a day old.

Authorities at the Lake County Sheriff’s office say Elysa is the baby’s guardian angel.

“I didn’t do this myself,” Elysia said. “Somebody helped me — God. He put me in that place.”

“If I wasn’t there and God didn’t tell my brain – if my brain didn’t make me go over there, we would find a dead baby in the yard this afternoon,” this precious girl added. “It would be much worse and much different.”

Thanks to Elysa, the baby got a second chance in life.

Police officer makes headlines when he asks girl living in a “suspicious vehicle” to follow him to the sidewalk

When they respond to emergency calls, officers have no idea what they will stumble upon.

Two officers, Scott Marsh and Zach Pricer of the Huntington Beach Police Department in California, were asked to check on a “suspicious vehicle” located in a parking lot at Cross Park near Graham Street and Edinger Avenue. When they answered the call, they realized a single mom and her 11-year-old daughter were living in the car.

In an attempt to help the struggling family of two, they called the police department’s Homeless Task Force and explained that the mother and daughter were in desperate need of housing.

While the mother spoke on the phone with someone from the task force, officer Pricer decided to take some time talking to the girl because he knew she probably felt scared and confused. Hoping to put her at ease, he asked her whether she knew how to play hopscotch.

“For an 11-year-old girl, to see a police officer towering over her is a scary thing,” Pricer, 38, told The Orange County Register. “I was trying to break the ice and get her to feel comfortable with me.”

When she said she didn’t know how to play, he decided to teach her. He went first and the video of him and the girl playing the fun game was soon shared all over the social media with huge number of people praising his kind act towards the girl.

“Your feet touched the line, but I’m going to let you go because it’s your first time,” Pricer said when the girl played for the first time. “I’ll give it to you.”

The caption of the video read, “This morning an officer checked on a suspicious occupied vehicle in the area of Graham and Edinger.

“During his investigation, he learned the people in the vehicle were a mother and her 11-year-old daughter and they had been living out of their car. The officer contacted our Homeless Task Force to help arrange housing. As the officer worked on housing arrangements with the mother, another officer on scene, Officer Pricer, began displaying his expertise in hopscotch to the daughter. #Copslovehopscotch.”

People couldn’t help but comment on the video which restored their faith in humanity.

“Very sweet, but the officer is out. You can’t use your hand to balance when picking up the marker,” one person wrote. “Way to go Officer Pricer, you’re a good man,” another added.

There were also those who shared their concerns for the mother and the daughter. “This makes me so sad & happy at the same time. Prayers for that woman & her daughter. May God meet their needs. May God bless the police offers that helped them out and took the time.”

We are so thankful for people like Officer Pricer. Thank you for all you do for the community.

When they were Shaylee’s age, her mom and dad didn’t have it easy. Luckily, they say things are a bit different now. The girl attends a school where everyone knows the sign language and Shaylee considers it her safe place. What’s most, she loves the school and has many friends. She’s loved, cared for, and understood, and that makes her very happy.

Outside home and school is a different story. The truth is that not many ordinary people know the sign language, so Shaylee has a hard time communicating with people and that makes her feel left out at times.

Like most children her age, Shaylee and her sister dreamed of visiting Disneyland, and their mom and dad made that dream come true. They, however, feared that Shaylee’s experience would not be complete because she wouldn’t be able to communicate with her heroes. Once there, they enjoyed the beautiful day, but the highlight of the trip was when the two sisters posed for a photo with Minnie Mouse.

Once the photo opt was done, Minnie left the family stunned. She turned to Shaylee and signed with her. It turned out she was learning the sign language in order to enable an exhilarating adventure for children like Shaylee. While it may seem like a tiny gesture, it can truly mean the world to feel included.

“It made her proud of her own language. She made that connection,” Shaylee’s dad said once he soaked up his daughter’s interaction.

Dad tears down realizing the house they were hunting for his son was actually for him

Moms and dads out there sacrifice a lot for their children without expecting anything in return. But when they receive appreciation for the hard work and all the love they have for their kids, parents know they have done a great job raising caring individuals.

Michael Green is the creator of The Angry Grandpa Show on YouTube which is very popular. Now, as much as we enjoy all of the videos posted on the channel, the one below is definitely one of our favorite.

Michael and his girlfriend Bridgette asked Michael’s dad, Charles, to help them search for their dream home. They checked out a bunch of houses and it looked like they finally found what they were looking for.

Charles loved everything about the place. There was a fireplace and the rooms were big and comfy. He just knew it was the perfect house for his son. But what he didn’t know was that the house wasn’t for Michael, but for him.

“For the past few months, Bridgette and I have been planning a huge prank on Angry Grandpa and today’s the day we’re going to pull it off,” Michael says at the beginning of the footage which has been watched by over 17 million people.

“We’ve been taking my dad house hunting with us under the pretenses that he’s looking for a house for me and Bridgette. The only problem is, he’s been looking for his own house,” he adds.

The moment Charles learns the house is his is so touching it brings tears of joy. When Michael hands him the key, Charles is in disbelief.

Young man saves a bobcat from fire but never expects to receive such gratitude

Some years ago, devastating wildfires struck great part of U.S. and a huge number of people were left without homes. The same was true for a number of wild animals who watched their habitat being destroyed right in front of their eyes. The animals ran in confusion and fought for their lives, just as all the humans who were affected by this natural disaster.

One family, the Kraus, found a safe place to stay, but they weren’t at ease because they knew many wild creatures needed humans’ help. This Pennsylvania family did what they believed was right and provided shelter for a young fawn and a newborn bobcat. These wild animals were raised in their home together with the family’s cats and dogs.

No matter how incredible it sounds, that’s exactly what happened.

The bob cat was named Benji and he became an important part in the life of each and every Kraus member. One particular person Benji was especially fond of was the family’s son, George.

The two spent most of their time by each other’s side and did a lot of fun things together. In the video below, the sweet bobcat is seen cheerfully playing with George and it is definitely one of the cutest videos we’ve ever stumbled upon.

George wrote that Benji passed away years after being part of the family. He truly was one of a kind. The love he was able to give to his rescuers was unmatched. He showed affection towards the rest of the pets too, especially the deer, Athena, whom he shared the same fate with. They were happy to be rescued by such loving and caring people like the Kraus.

Barista is fed up with rude customers, so he decides to teach them a lesson with brutally honest sign

As we grow old, life gets tougher and tougher with every passing day and as we are preoccupied with our personal problems, we often forget to be kind to those around us.

Now when you think about it, when was the last time that you used the words ‘please’ and ‘thank you’? If you can’t really recall, you are not the only one. A barista that works at the CUPS Coffee and Tea noticed how less and less people use these words and that got him so mad that he decided to place a sign in front of his shop that would hopefully remind the customers to be more polite.

It read:

“One small coffee”
$5.00
“One small coffee, please”
$3.00
“Hello, I’d like one small coffee please.”
$1.75

Looking at the sign, customers realize it wouldn’t cost them anything to use the ‘magic words’ but it would save them some money.

But it also makes them think deeper about the importance of treating others with respect and kindness. That person that makes you your first morning coffee had to be up very early in the morning so that you can enjoy drinking it.

The thing is that we’ve become selfish and don’t appreciate other’s work and sacrifice.

Austin, the barista who came up with the brilliant idea told WDBJ7: “I decided, because I need to solve all the injustices of the world, to start charging more for people who didn’t take the time to say hello and connect and realize we’re all people behind the counter.”

His sign took the attention of many passersby and apparently someone thought it was worth posting it on Facebook. In just a matter of days, Austin’s sign has gone viral and people loved this barista’s brilliance.

This past Saturday night my 15 year old daughter asked me to sleep at a friends house and go to the movies. I said yes. She has always been very good about communicating with me and checking in with me. But her plans changed that night and the series of events that followed are nothing that any family should have to experience….

I received a fb message at 100am saying someone had received a phone call saying that my daughter Ryleigh Payton was somewhere passed out.

Immediately my heart sank and I tried to call her phone repeatedly and of course there was no answer. I questioned who, where, when, why’s…and received no answer back because that girl was already in route of finding the girl who called her and my daughter, picked them up and brought them to my driveway.

As I opened the car door to see my daughter, lifeless and foaming at the mouth covered in vomit 911 was on their way. Ambulance arrived on seen and she was unresponsive, since we didn’t have many details except she had been drinking vodka we weren’t sure if she was given or taken anything else so she was given Narcane 4 time only to still fall unresponsive.

Transported to Heywood where there was no change we were told my daughters airway was not strong enough and she would need to be interbated and transferred immediately to Umass. While arriving there the doctors informed us my daughter was No longer breathing on her own at all.

I suffered 14 long hours pleading and begging for my daughters life, experiencing flashbacks from the moment she was born, to her first smile and giggle, the first time she said Mumma, her first step, her 1st birthday, her first day of school, her first friendship,sleepover, sickness, her graduation of middle school, our private mother daughter moments, laughing, joking, running, snuggling and so forth, I was thinking of her siblings and what losing her would do to them and the rest of her family and all of the people that love her.

My daughter was with a group of teens, I’m sure as the started to notice some signs that Ryleigh was not okay panic started to set in, they thought they would get in trouble if they tried to get help so they left her there.
Only 1 girl who was not even her friend but an acquaintance stayed with her, trying to find a way to get my information and she succeeded.

She didn’t care about getting in trouble herself, she wanted to get her the help she so desperately needed, the other kids who left her I’m sure we’re scared and didn’t realize the severity of her condition at the time so I’m sharing our experience so that EVERY TEEN who may come to be in this situation knows….you will NOT get in trouble for getting someone help!!!! You have the ability to SAVE a precious life!!!!!
So please reach out and get help no matter what the circumstances. That one girl SAVED my daughters life by contacting someone who could get ahold of me and if it were not for her the reality of it is I would be burying my daughter this week. PARENTS share this with your children so they see the dangers of under aged drinking and what it can do!!! After 14 hours my beautiful daughter finally by the grace of God opened her big beautiful green eyes to see her Mumma and asked for her sister Courtney Ackles and we are on our way to a long recovery due to breathing issues, bodily injury from her repeatedly falling while intoxicated, lacerations to her eye, and the worry she doesn’t develop a pneumonia from vomit being in her lungs, so we are not fully out of the woods yet, but she is home,safe and as comfortable as she can be right now.

Thank you to all who have stood by my family in this time, saying prayers, helping my other kids and husband while I was at the hospital, we are blessed. Please share this to prevent another child from going through this and another parent to endure what I have. My 92lb child had a 2.8 blood alcohol level from drinking Ciroc the typical Vodka of choice among young teens these days.

Don’t ever think this couldn’t happen to you because it is very real and it’s everywhere!!! Our pictures of her may be disturbing to some but our hopes are in sharing our pain we may be able to PREVENT AND SAVE ANOTHER CHILD!!! SHARE OUR STORY!!!

Thankfully, this young woman was able to return home. But it’s a situation that we see posted on social media, from parents around the country, time and time again. Help spread the word — if it prevents even one person from repeating this, then it’s worth it.

Mom gives birth but her family has no idea she had twins

Teresa Slater was about to become a mother for the second time. When she and her husband told their families they were going to welcome baby number two in their lives everyone was over the moon because of the happy news. What they didn’t know, however, was that Teresa was carrying twins. She wanted it to be a surprise and she had a hard time keeping it a secret, but the reaction and the face expression of each of the family members when they learned the truth was so worth it.

Once the babies were born, everyone wanted to see Teresa and her bundle of joy, and as they entered the hospital room and took a look at the crib, they were shocked. There wasn’t one baby, but two.

Teresa even made a video about the big revelation and called it the “Ultimate Twin Surprise.” It showed the fun reactions and attracted many viewers.

The video was later taken down because of some reason so Teresa uploaded it once again. This time, she also included a photo of her baby boys at the end.

People couldn’t help but comment about whose reaction they loved the most, with some saying that they love how huge this family is.

Nicole Kidman gets honest about her failed marriage with Tom Cruise

When Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman tied the knot back in 1990, they became one of the most popular Hollywood couples. At the time, the Top Gun star was more popular than Kidman and was considered a heartthrob many loved both for his immense acting talent and his incredible looks.

The two first met on the set of Days of Thunder after Cruise convinced the producers to make her his co-star in the film. Apparently, he noticed her in the 1989 flick Dead Calm and was eager to meet her in person ever since.

At the time, Cruise was married to actress Mimi Rogers but the chemistry between him and Kidman was too strong to ignore.

“I had three very strong relationships before I met Tom. But I was never going to get married. Never. But he was just the most incredible, unusual man I’d ever met,” Kidman said.

The two married during a private ceremony which lasted for 30 minutes. Only few people from both sides were invited.

Ever since they said I do, all eyes were on them. Tabloids followed their every move and were eager to follow their love story. Both Cruise and Kidman wanted to be parents, but she experienced some fertility issues and upon suffering an ectopic pregnancy, the two decided to adopt daughter Isabella Jane Cruise and son Connor Cruise when they were just months old.

Cruise spoke of Kidman as of the love of his life. “It was that special connection when you recognize your soul mate. She is a person who understands. It was as if a whole new life had started for me,” he told Vanity Fair in 2002.

Kidman was in love with Cruise as much as he was. ”I fell madly, passionately in love. And as happens when you fall in love, my whole plan in terms of what I wanted for my life—I was like, ‘Forget it. This is it.’ I was consumed by it, willingly. And I was desperate to have a baby with him. I didn’t care if we were married. That’s what I wish I’d done,” she once said.

The two resembled a match made in Heaven and that is the reason why everyone was left in shock when Cruise filed for divorce after 11 years of marriage.

He cited irreconcilable differences as a reason for his decision.

Kidman was also shocked. She said the divorce wasn’t something she expected and added it came out of the blue.

Rumors were that Cruise decided to end the union because she couldn’t give him children. Some said the reason was that Kidman wanted to spend a lot of time in Australia. Others believed the Scientologist Church Cruise is part of was the reason the two split.

“Our life together was perfect. It took me a very long time to heal. It was a shock to my system. That was a great relationship. I think it ran its course. I was really damaged and not sure whether love and marriage were ever going to happen again to me,” Kidman said.

However, she never really wanted to speak of her failed marriage to Tom Cruise and tended to keep things private until recently.

This year, she spoke to Harper Bazaar for its upcoming October issue and revealed that her career was overshadowed by all the rumors surrounding her divorce.

“I was young. I think I offered it up? Maybe I’ve gotten a bit more trepidatious, but I’m always trying to be as open as possible. I just prefer to live in the world that way.”

“I’m wary at times, and I’ve been hurt, but at the same time I much prefer a warm approach rather than a prickly shutdown approach. My husband, Keith, says that when he met me, he said, ‘How’s your heart?’ And I apparently responded, ‘Open.’”

Nicole Kidman is happily married to musician Keith Urban. They have two lovely daughters together.

As for her adopted children, Kidman doesn’t really speak of her relationship with them, but apparently, they are in good terms. We are glad to hear that, especially because they weren’t that close after they decided to follow their father and join Scientology.

Girl grabs onto woman at a restaurant – woman’s unsettled until she learns about the child’s mother

Molly Schultz, a mother of two adorable twin girls, was at a restaurant with her daughters. The three had fun talking and spending time together when a little girl approached them and joined their table.

Molly asked the little one about her name, but the girl didn’t answer. She just stood silent and couldn’t stop starring right at Molly’s eyes.

A few minutes passed by and Molly gazed around in an attempt to see if someone was looking for their child. But she didn’t see anyone the girl resembled to so she decided to let her stay with them for a few more minutes. Then, a man approached the girl and told her to go to their table because their food arrived. He said he was the little one’s father and apologized for any inconveniences his daughter might have caused.

The girl rushed to her dad’s table, picked up her food, and sat next to Molly and the twins again. When her dad tried to take her with him, the girl didn’t want to go, so Molly said it was fine if she stayed with them until she finished eating.

The entire time, the girl never said a word, she just ate and starred at Molly, and that was it.

When the time came for Molly and her daughters to leave the place, they said goodbye to the girl, but she started following them. Molly tried to motion her towards her dad, but she refused to leave. This raised a red flag. “My mom radar was starting to go off and I got a little sick to my stomach,” Molly said as she was no longer sure if the man was truly the girl’s father.

She hesitated whether to let the girl go with him, but he then came closer and started crying. He explained that he lost his wife and other daughter in a car accident, and the girl was left without her mother and sister so when she saw Molly and the twins she went to them because they reminded her of her loved ones whom she missed dearly. “I’m so sorry. My wife and other daughter recently died in a car accident and I guess she wanted to hang out with you guys,” the father said.

At that moment, everything made sense. The girl rushed towards her dad and took him by his hand after which the two left.

Molly felt very sorry for their loss but this encounter reminded her that we should always appreciate what we have in life and spend as much time as we can with those who mean the world to us.

Robert De Niro ‘forced to work’ to afford ex-wife’s lavish lifestyle, lawyers claim

Ever since the split from his wife of 21 years, two-time Oscar winner and undoubtedly one of the best actors in the history of film, Robert De Niro, has had a rough time affording to finance his ex’s lavish lifestyle.

De Niro was married twice and both of his marriages lasted long years. He tied the knot with his first wife, actress and singer Diahnne Abbott, in 1976. He and Abbott welcomed son Raphael De Niro that same year, and the actor, who was already considered one of the best of the best at the time, adopted his wife’s daughter from her previous marriage.

Some 12 years later, they divorced. Between his two marriages, De Niro dated model Toukie Smith for eight years. The two had twins together via in vitro fertilization and a surrogate mother.

However, things didn’t work out between them and they called it quits.

De Niro married his second wife, socialite and actress Grace Hightower in 1997. The two first met some ten years before saying I do while she worked at the famous Mr. Chow restaurant in London.

A decade later, they met again and knew they belonged together. Their wedding ceremony was an intimate one and took place at their home in Marbletown, New York.

Speaking of their relationship, Hightower said back in the day, “It was an ease-in. It wasn’t a whirlwind.”

Their son Elliot was born in 1998 and their daughter Helen came into the world in 2011.

Both De Niro and Hightower tended to keep their son and daughter, as well as the rest of De Niro’s children, out of the spotlight and away from the public eye, but that all changed when De Niro felt the need to speak openly about his son’s autism in an attempt to raise awareness about the condition which affects 1 in 54 children in America, according to 2016 data.

“Grace and I have a child with autism and we believe it is critical that all of the issues surrounding the causes of autism be openly discussed and examined,” he said.

In 1999, just a year after Elliot was born, the Godfather actor filed for divorce. They co-parented Elliot for a year and took their divorce to court, but eventually, they managed to smooth things out and re-conciliated. De Niro and Hightower even renowned their vows in 2004 in the presence of some of their best friends, including Meryl Strip, Martin Scorsese, and Ben Stiller.

“They can make sure this one sticks,” De Niro said at the ceremony. But it didn’t. The couple split in 2018.

“Grace and I have two beautiful children together. We are entering a period of transition in our relationship which is a difficult but constructive process,” the statement from De Niro read.

“I honor Grace as a wonderful mother and ask for privacy and respect from all as we proceed to develop our roles as partners in parenting.”

Today, reports are that De Niro has found himself in an unenviable situation having to provide for his ex’s lavish lifestyle.

De Niro, who is also an entrepreneur, was reported to have invested huge amounts of money in several restaurants, such as Nobu and the Tribeca Grill, as well as the Greenwich Hotel in New York City. However, because of the ongoing pandemic, his businesses have suffered millions in loses.

De Niro’s lawyer, Caroline Krauss, claims that Hightower has “a thirst for Stella McCartney” and has even bought a $1 million-plus diamond ring, as reported by Page Six. According to Business Insider, the actor has cut Grace’s monthly credit card limit from $100,000 to $50,000 in an attempt to cut down on her spendings.

“Mr. De Niro is 77 years old, and while he loves his craft, he should not be forced to work at this prodigious pace because he has to,” Krauss said during a virtual divorce hearing, as reported by Page Six.

“When does that stop? When does he get the opportunity to not take every project that comes along and not work six-day weeks, 12-hour days so he can keep pace with Ms. Hightower’s thirst for Stella McCartney?” she added.

“He could get sick tomorrow, and the party’s over.”

Senior Chihuahua who ended up at a shelter tucked himself into bed every night

Life is full of surprises and that is something most of us have experienced first hand. Sadly, those surprises are not always pleasant and we often find ourselves in front of obstacles to hard to overcome all by ourselves.

Unfortunately, a senior Chihuahua named Scooter faced an unpleasant event when his owner died and he stayed all alone with no one by his side so he ended up at a shelter.

What Scooter did on his first night at his new place got the attention of the shelter staff and they couldn’t help by take a photo of him laying under a blue blanket.

He got covered himself and it was only his ears and the sweet face that were visible. It was his way of comforting himself.

The staff feared that Scooter would spend the rest of his life at their no-kill shelter because they knew senior dogs are not likely to find forever homes. But even if that was the case with Scooter, they had plenty of place and were willing to take care of him.

“Scooter was 12 years old and had an old hip injury,” Jan Nageldinger, shelter manager at the Humane Society of Branch County in Michigan, told The Dodo.

However, once the cute photo of Scooter from under the blanket was shared online, the shelter received numerous phone calls from people from all over the country.

One of them was a woman named Jessica Lynn Howard who had already adopted two Chihuahuas from the shelter before.

“I saw Jan’s Facebook post, along with the rest of the world,” Howard told The Dodo. “My husband Tim and I were lying in bed and it … brought me to tears. Without hesitation I showed Tim and I said, ‘I have to go get him.'”

Her husband fell in love with the cute doggie too, and the first thing in the morning, Howard headed to the shelter to get Scooter home.

“When we arrived home Scooter met his new pack and family immediately,” Howard said. “It was amazing everyone greeted him as if he was a long lost friend of theirs; they truly acted as if he had always been here.”

Their farm is just the place for dogs to enjoy their days and have as much space and fun as they want.

“We have Jax (formally known as Nemo), a Chihuahua we adopted from Branch County, Hank (formally known as Little Henry), a Chihuahua/heeler mix we also adopted from Branch County, BabyFace, another Chihuahua that belonged to my husband before we were married, and two heelers, Spur and Waylon,” Howard said.

Scooter turned into one of the sweetest dogs ever and his family was glad they made the right decision to offer him their home.

“He is super funny and acts goofy. He plays around like he’s a 2-year-old sometimes,” Howard said. But he’s also “all about taking naps — with his blankie, of course. He absolutely loves my husband Tim and our son Braden. Our daughter Dalanie has a soft spot for him, too. He is beyond loved and maybe a little spoiled, too.”

However, Scooter still covers himself with a blanket any time he goes to sleep.

“When it’s bedtime … he still ‘tucks himself in,'” Howard said. “I’ve tried to tuck him in but he would rather do it himself. He has to get the covers just right. It’s really cute watching him.”

The life of Scooter was an inspiration for other families to consider getting a senior dog.

“The good thing that came from this story was that people from … Italy, Puerto Rico, Canada and many, many, many states across the U.S. contacted us … willing to take in Scooter,” Nageldinger said. “When Scooter had been adopted many of these people said that they were going to go to their local shelter and adopt a senior dog. So Scooter not only saved himself; I really believe that he saved the lives of other dogs all across the U.S. with his story.”

Sadly, when choosing a dog, most people opt for puppies, not being aware that the older dogs have as much love to give as the little ones.

“That picture [of Scooter in the shelter tucking himself in] represented all the millions of animals awaiting homes in shelters everywhere,” Howard said. “Scooter, lying there on that cot, was once someone’s beloved pet.”

“If Scooter’s story can help inspire someone to adopt or to donate to the Humane Society of Branch County or their local shelter,” Howard added, “it shows what one little senior dog can do. He moved an entire world with just a single post! That is beyond amazing.”

Parents plan funeral for 10-yr-old with cancer – She then opens her eyes and says something that leaves them stunned

Miracles do happen, and the life story of Abby Furco is no better example of that.

This sweet 10-year-old girl has had a rough start early in life. At the age of just four, she was diagnosed with leukemia and doctors only gave her 20% chance of survival. The news crushed her parents’ world, but they knew their girl was a warrior and they never gave up fighting for her precious life.

“We were devastated,” Abby’s mom, Patty Furco, said. “We were basically told that she was going to die, there was very little hope.”

Abby went through so much. She had undergone a bone marrow transplant, a number of chemotherapy treatments, radiation and many trial drugs.

“We kept her surrounded by love because we knew at any moment we could lose her,” Patty said. “There were moments we didn’t know if she’d pull through, she has so many infections that could have ended her life. All we could do was watch her fight and try to get better.”

After extensive treatments, Abby started feeling better. She even rode a bike, played soccer, and went to school regularly. But around a year later, the cancer returned. This time, it was even more aggressive than the first time. All of a sudden, Abby lost the ability to walk.

“As hard as that first diagnosis was, this one tested every ounce of our being,” Patty recalled. “She became completely immobile, any movement hurt her and she hardly spoke.”

The girl was forced to undergo another bone marrow transplant, but this time, her body didn’t accept the donated marrow and she was diagnosed with Graft versus host disease (GvHD), a condition that might occur after an allogeneic transplant. In GvHD, the donated bone marrow or peripheral blood stem cells view the recipient’s body as foreign and attack it. This led to kidney failure and Abby was put on dialysis.

Her parents were told that there was nothing that could be done and that the time had come for their girl to be let go.

“Doctors told us it was time to let her go, she was only awake for like an hour each day,” Patty said. “We began preparing our other daughters for her death.”

Abby was placed in hospice and her heartbroken mom and dad were even told to consider planning her funeral.

However, just as everyone gathered around her to say that final goodbye, Abby opened her eyes and said something that left everyone speechless.

“She told us, ‘I have so much living to do,’” Patty recalled.

“We couldn’t believe it,” she added, “in a matter of days, weeks, months she started walking and getting stronger. It’s an absolute miracle.”

Abby’s sudden recovery couldn’t be medically explained. It left doctors puzzled. They didn’t have answers, and Abby’s parents didn’t look for any, all they cared for was that their girl didn’t die.

“We helped her get home on hospice. But when we started backing off, taking away treatments so she wasn’t on so many meds, she started getting better all on her own,” Abby’s doctor, pediatric hematologist and oncologist Jacob Wessler, said.

“She’s had ups and downs, but if she continues on this path, she is going to make us all look like fools!” he added. “She’s defied every single odd.”

No one really knows what the future will bring, but for now, Abby is in good health and thriving. She is in remission and receives IV steroids twice a day.

Holocaust survivor finally finds and meets nephew after living without family for 80 years

The Holocaust, which ended 77 years ago, was the state-sponsored mass murder of around 6 million European Jews and millions of others prisoners of war by the German Nazis during World Word II.

However, no matter how much time passes by, we should never forget the pain and the suffering it brought to so many people. Millions and millions of families were ripped apart. One of them was the family of Eliahu Pietuszka, a then young Jew from Warsaw, Poland.

When the Nazi invaded his country in 1939, devastation followed. Eliahu’s family didn’t have much money, but they did have enough for one of them to escape the country. They all agreed Eliahu to be the one to try and save his life. He couldn’t possibly imagine leaving his family behind, but he agreed to his parents’ wishes and fled.

Over the years, Eliahu was wrecked with guilt. He couldn’t stop thinking of his family and kept wondered if any of them could possibly stay alive. Sadly, there was no way of getting to the answers of those questions who bothered him each and every day.

What Eliahu didn’t know was that one of his brothers, Volf, worked at a concentration camp which the Russians liberated. At that point, Volf was taken to a Siberian labor camp, and was eventually set free and allowed to live in Russia. He started his family there, but died of natural causes later in life.

Eliahu, who also had a family of his own and settled in Israel, learned the truth about his brother Volf when he turned over 100 years old. The country of Israel decided to create online database of victims of the holocaust. Eliahu was eager to access it in an attempt to find someone from his family. What he didn’t expect, however, was to learn that his brother’s son, Alexandre, was alive and living in Russia.

Eliahu’s sons were quick to contact their cousin. Alexandre was surprised to learn his uncle was still alive. In order not to waste a minute more, and having in mind Eliahu was already over 100 years old, Alexandre flew to Israel.

The moment Eliahu saw his nephew was bittersweet. The two hugged and started crying. They were very happy to have found each other. At the same time, Eliahu was sad he didn’t learn about Volf earlier and didn’t see him again after fleeing Poland as a young man, but he could at least meet his brother’s son.

Eliahu told Alexandre that he resembled his father.

After more than 80 years, Eliahu finally got the closure he was looking for his entire life.

Woman recalls the day her mother packed her bags and left her dad for good

Young woman shares a story of her parents’ separation and how that affected her and her father’s life.

She starts her post by explaining that her mom and dad never really got along. At the time the woman was still a child, her mother decided to leave the home while her husband was at work. She packed all of her clothes and picked up all the furniture, the TV, and even the dishes. The girl clung to her mother’s arm, but she pushed her away and never looked back.

The girl, who was 10 at the time, found a way to call her dad at work to tell him what had happened. He was shocked and asked her who she was with. The girl answered that she was all by herself so her dad told her to lock the door and wait for him to get back home.

He couldn’t leave work right away, but the girl waited for him patiently, because unlike her mother, she knew that her dad would never abandon her.

Knowing that he would be heartbroken, the girl decided to make a sandwich for him from what she found in the fridge. It wasn’t much, but it was all she could do for him at the time.

When her dad came home, he was devastated by the sight of the empty place. But there, in the middle of the vacant room stood his daughter with a sandwich in her hand and a piece of paper which served as a plate.

The girl handed it to him and tried to look away because she wanted him to be able to let his tears roll down his face, the tears he was struggling to hold back.

He shared the sandwich with his girl and the two ate in silence knowing they still had one another.

The girl, who is now a woman, concluded her post writing that her dad still remembers the day she made him that sandwich, because he says that her gesture saved his life.

What’s most, authorities claimed that Sithole wasn’t even pregnant in the first place.

Robert McGowan, a Pit Bull owner, found himself in a terrifying situation. He was attacked in his home, and believed there was no chance of making it alive from the fight, but then his dogs stepped up.

“We helped her get home on hospice. But when we started backing off, taking away treatments so she wasn’t on so many meds, she started getting better all on her own,” Abby’s doctor, pediatric hematologist and oncologist Jacob Wessler, said.

“She’s had ups and downs, but if she continues on this path, she is going to make us all look like fools!” he added. “She’s defied every single odd.”
