Jodie Foster hid the truth about herself from the public for over 35 years

Despite the fact that she grew up in front of the eyes of her audience, the private life of actress Jodie Foster has always been hidden from the public.

Her successful career in film, which started when she was still just a child, spans many years during which she landed plenty of iconic roles. She had her big breakthrough when she was only 12 years old and played a child prostitute in Martin Scorsese’s 1976 film, Taxi Driver.

Foster has won two Academy Awards as well as three Golden Globes. At the 70th Golden Globe Awards in 2013, she received the honorary Cecil B. DeMille Award for her “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.”

Besides being a famous actress and a director, The Silence of the Lambs star is also a mother of two.

Over the years, there were plenty of speculations regarding Foster’s sexuality and people couldn’t help but wonder who she had her sons with.

It took Foster many years to reveal the truth about herself, or to be precise, it took 35 years from the interview she gave as a 17-year-old teenager who was asked about her preference of man to reveal that she was in fact attracted to women.

During the interview in question, Foster was supposed to give an answer to the question “What kinda fellas do you like?” She didn’t lose her composure, but it was her facial expressions that made people question whether she was even into men at all.

The truth was that she was afraid for her career. She was waiting for the right time to open up about her sexuality and she decided that her 2013 award acceptance speech was the perfect moment. As she took the stage, Foster said, “I hope you’re not disappointed that there won’t be a big coming-out speech tonight, because I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago back in the Stone Age.”

She then continued, saying, “While I’m here being all confessional, I guess I just have just a sudden urge to say something that I’ve never really been able to air in public.”

Foster revealed that she was dating producer Sidney Bernard from 1993 to 2008 and she had both her sons, Kit and Charlie, with her.

Listening to her talking about her private life didn’t leave a single dry eye in the audience.

In 2014, after a year of dating, Foster married photographer Alexandra Hedison who used to be an actress but didn’t think it was the right career choice for her.

Hedison used to date Ellen DeGeneres. They were a couple from 2000 to 2004 and even considered adopting a child together, but split shortly after.

Foster and Hedison are rarely seen together in public. In fact, the two have just a few red carpet appearances together, with their most recent one at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival.

When Foster won Golden Globe for her performance in The Mauritanian, she gave her acceptance speech from home via a video and with Hedison right by her side. “I love my wife, thank you, Alex!” she said as she kissed her wife.

Wisconsin school bans Dolly Parton song from class concert

School concerts are something children look forward to. Getting ready for those special events which will have their moms and dads in the audience cheering and crying tears of joy is as exciting as the final performance.

A group of first graders from a Wisconsin elementary school were preparing for their spring concert which was all about the The World so they chose songs related to the theme. Among them were Here Comes the Sun, by The Beatles, What a Wonderful World, by Louis Armstrong, and Rainbowland by Miley Cyrus.

The song is from the album Younger Now which was released in 2017. Cyrus has often performed this song together with her God-mother, Dolly Parton.

However, as much as many adore the song whose lyrics go “Let’s all dig down deep inside, brush the judgment and fear aside,” the administrators at Heyer Elementary School in Waukesha forbade the students from singing the song, labeling it controversial. Some of the parents reacted to this decision and said it was taken off the program because it promotes LGBTQ acceptance and references rainbows which is something the pride flag bears as well.

Speaking to Fox News, superintendent James Sebert confirmed that the song was removed because it may not be  “appropriate for the age and maturity level of the students,” and because they avoid raising such issues withing the classroom for being controversial.

Melissa Tempel, the students’ teacher, said that the little ones were sad when they were told they couldn’t be singing Cyrus’ song which they love very much. She added that she believes the lyrics are in fact sweet and simple.

“My students were just devastated. They really liked this song and we had already begun singing it,” Tempel said. “These confusing messages about rainbows are ultimately creating a culture that seems unsafe towards queer people,” she added.

School boards in Wisconsin, including the one in question, have become increasingly partisan when the Republicans gained a lot of support and power in the school board races in 2022 and have used their positions to change policies including those for transgender students.

6-year-old boy goes missing: When rescuers find him, they notice what’s lying beside him

The realization that one of your children have gone missing is a terrible thought to suddenly have, in fact, it terrifying!

As parents, it’s our first instinct to love and care for our children at all times and no matter what, when they have disappeared like this and you really can’t do anything to change that event, the fear and panic levels shoot right up to the max!

The parents of this six-year-old little Kaydon Leach had these awful feelings when he was missing on the night of April 23, also with him and missing is his dog, Chula!

Officials started looking for him at 7 pm, there were 100 people needed to stretch all through the night to Tuesday, to look for him, when they found the little boy he was not alone!

The Bureau of Investigation for Blount County, Tennessee, issued an alert for an ‘endangered child’ and the rescue teams with performing grid searches through about 2000 acres right through the night!

Given that Kaydon is just six-years-old, fears for his safety were paramount. The large-scale operation to find him included not only the Blount County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, a Black Hawk military helicopter and volunteer search parties from the local area, as well as K-9 teams too!

About 22 hours later he was found, believe it or not, half way home at the Top of the World Community in Blount County, around 3:30pm and by the black and white terrier Kaydon had with him, Chula, that turned up to help them!

The County Sheriff’s Office, Chief Deputy Jeff French, said:

“The dog actually growled at the rescuers when they approached Kaydon.”

When kaydon was found he was cold and the rescuers wrapped him up in blankets and a jacket, they took him up the mountain to the nearest road, then he was taken to the Blount Memorial Hospital, the family expressed their deepest gratitude to everyone who helped in the search for him.

They said:

“We’re so thankful to everyone, from local law enforcement agencies to volunteers, who helped us find Kaydon. The amount of support we have received has been tremendous, even from people we don’t even know. We appreciate all our friends and neighbors, and ask for privacy at this time.”

We are so pleased it all worked out int the end and the little by was found safe and all be it a little cold, well too! It just goes to show that dogs really our a mans best friend!!

Michael Douglas opens up about his health battles

Michael Douglas spent most of his childhood accompanying his famous dad Kirk Douglas on movie sets. This made him fall in love with acting and make an impressive career in Hollywood like few actors have.

Today, Douglas, who will be turning 79 this year, can brag with a number of iconic movies under his belt. Among the rest, the Academy Award winning star starred in Wall Street, The Game, and Falling Down. The truth is that the list of films he was part of is so long that it is hard to choose a favorite one.

Asked about the best role he’s played, Douglas told The Guardian in 2023, ”To use a baseball term: I have a pretty good batting average. I can’t say they are all grand-slam home runs, but I have a lot of hits, singles, maybe doubles, a couple of triples.”

However, his rich career isn’t limited to acting only.

In fact, it was the classic One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest that he produced which brought him his first Oscar. He received another one for best actor in 1988 for playing the sleazy Gordon Gekko in Wall Street.

Over the years, he was considered one of the most attractive celebrities. He and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones make a much-loved couple. However, as he’s reaching certain age, it appears that his health started deteriorating.

His health issues started back in 2010 when he was diagnosed with tongue cancer. Doctors weren’t able to diagnose him until the cancer reached advanced stage. It was a friend’s doctor from Canada who was able to find the root to the oral discomfort he had felt for quite some time.

”I will always remember the look on his face,” Douglas has shared.

”He said: ‘We need a biopsy.’ There was a walnut-size tumour at the base of my tongue that no other doctor had seen.”

He started intensive treatments almost immediately and the chemotherapy affected his physical appearance. As he was forced to be fed with liquids only for some time, he lost 45 lbs. Thankfully, in 2011, he was told that he was cancer free.

Speaking of the possible reasons that led him to getting cancer, many assumed it was the drinking and the smoking, but Douglas said it was oral sex that caused his cancer, or to be more precise, HPV (human papillomavirus], which is the most common sexually transmitted infection.

”I did worry if the stress caused by my son’s incarceration didn’t help trigger it. But yeah, it’s a sexually transmitted disease that causes cancer. And if you have it, cunnilingus is also the best cure for it,” Michael Douglas said.

However, as his words attracted a lot of attention by the public, his spokesman claimed that the actor was walking about HPV in general and wasn’t referring to his diagnosis.

Douglas’ health was sort of affected again when the COVID-19 pandemic struck.

“I was quite surprised to realize how much energy I had lost throughout the pandemic,” he said. The reason why was that he was ”much more couch potato–ing.” ”My long-term memory is fine, but short-term… not so much. I’m looking into it,” explained Douglas in an interview with ARRP Magazine in 2021. 

At first, he thought that his short-term memory was affected because of his weed-smoking habits, but now he’s looking for other reasons. ”I used to blame it on pot.  But I’ve got some friends who’ve been smoking as long as I have and have fabulous memories, so I don’t think that’s the issue. I’m researching it,” he said.

To encircle his home, a man spends $8300 on 400 feet of plastic

Convenient living is what most of us long for. At the end of the day, no matter how big or small our place of stay is, the comfort and the coziness it offers is what makes it a home, and as such, we need to protect it and keep it safe at all cost.

A man from Texas named Randy Wagner was aware that the hurricane season was coming so he decided to do something about it and protect his property from floods.

The plan he had on mind involved a lot of labor and a lot of money, but he believed it was vital for keeping his home safe.

He built a fence out of plastic around his house that was 400 feet long. For it, he spent $8300.

This sounded crazy and most of his family and neighbors believed it was a waste of time and money and weren’t fond of Randy’s investment, but they were wrong. When the hurricane did hit the country, the barrier was actually able to hold the water back so it didn’t reach his house. This saved Randy from damage that would have cost him up to $150,000 to fix had the water entered his property.

As hurricanes are common at some parts of the States, it is vital that people take precautions.

First, it would be useful to prepare a kit bag that contains all the basic things you would need in case of an emergency such as a flashlight, batteries, some cash, basic first aid supplies and medication. In case there is no safer place to evacuate rather than your home, make sure you have enough food and water for several days without electricity.

Trimming tree branches close to your house ahead of the hurricane season might be a good idea as they can fall when the wind hits and damage properties around. Cleaning any clogged areas in rain gutters is also a must, as getting rid of the debris at such places won’t let any excess water enter your home.

Al Roker will leave the Today Show again due to an upcoming operation

Our favorite weatherman, Al Roker, who has been part of the Today show for more than two decades, faced health issues in late 2022 which forced him to spend some time off work.

With a hospital photo he posted on Instagram, Al informed his fans that he had been hospitalized and receiving treatment after doctors found blood clots in his lungs. He was then released from the hospital but was admitted again, and as a result, he missed the Thanksgiving Parade.

And just as everyone thought he won’t be absent from the show again, he posted about an upcoming surgery, which means he will need to leave the show yet again.

The 68-year-old host, who loves walking, shared that he is about to undergo a knee replacement procedure.

Before the health scare he experienced some months ago, Al often posted about his daily walking routine and the 10,000 steps he walked every single day.

“Yesterday was the #bestdayyet when it comes to my steps on this #bumknee before my #kneereplacementsurgery in late April,” he captioned a photo of his Apple Watch which shows him surpassing his 10K steps, adding, “Thanks to my #starttoday #family for the support!”

His wife of 28 years commented, “Take it slow, darling!”

His fans were quick to comment. “You are an inspiration!! Way to go, Al!!” one person wrote. “Al, you are an inspiration to many of us!! You bring us all joy daily!” another posted. “Al, I will be praying for you and a completely successful surgery and full recovery,” a third added.

We wish Al Roker a successful operation and a speedy recovery.

Former teen idol Leif Garrett’s life took a horrible downward spiral – this is him now

Leif Garrett stole the hearts of millions of teens when he landed a career as an actor back in the day. He later turned to music and was regarded one of the most famous teenage stars of his time.

When he first appeared on screen, in the film Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice in 1969, which was the sixth highest-grossing film of the year, Garrett was just five years old. His performance, however, was so good that everyone predicted a successful career for him.

Following that role, the sleepy-eyed heartthrob landed a part in the film Walking Tall, along with its two sequels. In 1983 he joined a number of fellow teen sensations, including Matt Dillon, C. Thomas Howell, Patrick Swayze and Tom Cruise, in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders.

Other series Garrett took part in, among the rest, are Family, The Odd Couple (1974), Wonder Woman (1978) and CHiPs (1979).

As his career as an actor skyrocketed, he decided to try himself as a musician and was as successful. His first album, Leif Garret, was released in 1977, and it didn’t come as a surprise that it gathered the attention of many. Soon, tours followed, and Garrett felt like he was on top of the world, which wasn’t far from the truth.

”I was on a public appearance tour in Sydney, Australia, and they had to fly me in by helicopter and then I jumped into an armored car and drove into the theater by back door. I’ve tried using a lim there before, but the fans almost tipped it over. I guess it’s an adrenalin push for them. They just freak out. It’s very weird,” Garrett told New York Daily News in 1979.

He, however, faced challenges, and one of them was his transition to adulthood, as well as issues with his managers.

“I think I was a good performer from the get-go but I wish they had offered me singing lessons before ever making a record and doing the typical punching in a sentence here or there or words or whatever,” Garret said in an interview.

“There’s a particular track (I Was Looking for Someone to Love) that doesn’t even sound like me at all. I would even possibly say I wasn’t even on that track. And to me, that IS fraud. That’s like a Milli Vanilli situation, the difference being, of course, mine was blended many times with myself and somebody else.”

Garrett started using substances and alcohol and that affected his career. He was involved in a car accident which left his friend Ronald Winkler a paraplegic in 1979.

He then started hanging out with famous names, including the members of the band Queen, and the frontman, legendary Freddie Mercury, who showed young Garrett the world of sex, drug, and rock and roll, according to Garrett’s book Idol Truth.

“I don’t think I was a very mature 16-year-old. I became mature very quickly because I was always surrounded by adults who were drinking and doing coke, I was a child, but being treated as an adult… And all of this was coming out of my pocket.”

He continued: “You know, I probably have the greatest fan base that I could ever imagine for myself. They have stuck with me through thick and thin. And as you know, I’ve gotten myself in plenty of bad situations. There was a lot of bad decision-making. But at the same time, I didn’t have the parental guidance that I should have at that time.”

Garrettgot involved in troubles with the law and dropped in and out of rehab. Then, he was somehow forced to take part in the VH1 reality show Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew which he later accused of having him relapse for drama.

In an interview the LA Times, Garrett said: “They asked to get some footage of me using, and I said, ‘I haven’t been using. They said, ‘We really have to get footage of you using.’ Anyway, I was easily talked into showing them.”

Today, Leif Garrett, the once widely adored child star, is 61 and sober.

”I had a 90-day sentence in county jail. I was in court-ordered rehab before that, and then my mom visited and told me she had stage IV lung cancer. I said, ‘I’m leaving to take care of her—nobody lives with her.’ So dealing with that, I started using again. So it was like, ‘Cuff him, bring him in,’ and I did the 90 days, and that was it,” he shared with Best Life.

”I’ve kept every photo or letter that a young lady sent, telling me about being on their walls and kissing me good night before they went to bed,” Garrett told Closer. “It’s very surreal and a bit embarrassing, but how flattering! I can’t thank [my fans] enough, because I’m still able to do something I enjoy and get paid for it.”

We are glad Garrett managed to turn his life for the better.

8 body symptoms you should be aware of

Our body and our mind have the power to send warnings whenever something is wrong with us. Sometimes, we receive those warnings, and other times, we simply ignore them.

Below are some of the symptoms that serve as alerts that we should act and visit a doctor or simply make a drastic change in our lifestyle.

If you ever notice that the color of your skin turns yellow, that can indicate problems with your liver. This happens when the levels of bilirubin in our body are high and it is not able to get rid of them so the skin and the whites of the eyes appear yellowish.

Tiny white dots on the nails may be a sign of lack of zinc, calcium, or protein. Many people don’t even pay attention to these dots because they are unaware they are a warning sign.

At the same time, this condition may refer to physical trauma such as biting your nails or picking at them, or even a fungal infection.

If your lips get cracked, it might be time you start drinking more water and other liquids to keep your body hydrated.

Nail clubbing refers to fingernails or toenails that are curved downward. This isn’t always a cause for alarm because it may be something that runs within the family, but at times, it can be caused because of several reasons, including lung or heart condition or certain cancers. Further, Crohn’s disease, celiac disease or other conditions that cause inflammation in your digestive system can lead to clubbed nails.

Mouth ulcers, or cold sores that appear around or inside the mouth, indicate a weakened immune system. These sores can also be caused because of hormonal changes, emotional stress, and a vitamin B12 or iron deficiency.

White bumps on your eyelids may be a sign of diabetes or very dry skin.

The grey or white ring around your cornea, which is known as arcus senilis, or fat deposits, is typical in the elderly due to their age. However, it may also be a sign of elevated cholesterol levels.

The reddish appearance of the tongue may be a sign of folic acid and vitamin B-12 deficiency.

He lost his sight as a result of a nightly blunder we all commit!

A 39-year-old named Groeschen got up one morning just to see his eye got irritated during the night. He believed it could be allergies that caused the irritation, but the condition of his eye became worse and worse in the days that followed and he was forced to seek medical help.

Once at the Cincinnati Eye Institute, he received some bad news. He contracted a bacteria known as Pseudomonas. The reason why, according to his doctors, was that he was going to bed at night with his contact lenses on and this bacteria is capable of “incubating” below contact lenses.

Groeschen was prescribed antibiotics which helped him get rid of the bacteria, but sadly, the damage was already done; he had already acquired a corneal ulcer, and the scar tissue that the bacteria left behind has caused him to lose the sight on the eye.

“It is the same as seeing through a piece of glass that is opaque. Your cornea becomes somewhat eroded as a result of the illness,” doctors told him. “The scar tissue that forms as a result of the infection will make it difficult for you to see as the infection clears up.”

Unfortunately, the only way for him to regain his sight was a cornea transplant, a surgery with a recovery time of approximately one year.

Being the owner of a design-based restorations company left Groechen unable to keep up with the work.

According to Groeschen, the packaging for the contacts that he slept in indicates that it is safe to wear them while sleeping. But this is definitely not the best advice people need to follow.

The American Academy of Ophthalmology issued a warning in 2013 that stated “overnight wear, regardless of contact lens type, increases the incidence of corneal infection.”

Dr. William Faulkner, who treated Groeschen, said for the media, “Security is the major concern for the eyes, and if contacts are worn overnight, it is something that I would not advocate. The daily-wear disposable contact lenses are by far the safest option for anyone who wears glasses or contacts.”

Other risky behavior by people who use contact lenses are storing the lens covers for an extended period of time beyond what is advised and not changing the solution in the case entirely, meaning they are not completely emptying the case before adding new solution.

America’s favorite space mom, June Lockhart, is still beautiful at 97

Actress June Lockhart has led an incredible life and has had quite a career in the world of film. The now 97-year-old star has been part of the industry for nearly 80 years.

Lockhart started acting at a young age. Her first ever film is A Christmas Carol, in which she appeared together with her parents in 1938. After landing few minor roles, she was cast as the lead in the critically acclaimed film She-Wolf of London. However, one of her most memorable role has to be the one in Lassie, in which she played a mother and did justice to the role, thus earned critical acclaim for it.

She once described the show as “a fairy tale about people on a farm in which the dog solves all the problems in 22 minutes, in time for the last commercial.”

Another film which helped Lockhart’s career skyrocket was Lost in Space in which she played the role of Dr. Maureen Robinson.

Her on-screen son, actor Bill Mumy, shared some interesting details about Lockhart, among which that she carried a photo of artist David Bowie around with her. Further, Mumy said, “June is such an interesting character… She is, without a doubt, one of the smartest people I’ve ever met in my life. She is truly a rock & roll goddess. I swear to god. She lives for rock & roll.”

Lockhart’s work in motion pictures and her work on television brought her two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She received both of them on the same day, February 8, 1960. She has also received the Exceptional Public Achievement Medal by NASA to appreciate her efforts in helping the public become more interested in space.

Lockhart is the daughter of Gene Lockhart, a Canadian-born entertainer who rose to prominence on Broadway in 1933 with Ah, Wilderness!, and Kathleen Lockhart, an English-born entertainer. Being born to parents who have been involved in the entertainment industry, it didn’t come as a surprise that she chose the same career path for herself, and Lockhart’s two daughters did the same, they followed into their mother’s footsteps and pursued careers in Hollywood. Anne Lockhart and Lizabeth Lockhart, whom June Lockhart has with John Maloney, are both actresses.

Lockhart and Maloney were married from 1951 to 1959. Then, from 1959 to 1970, she was married to John Lindsay.

”My daughter, Junie, and granddaughter, Christianna, have never let me forget that the first words I ever spoke in movies were: ‘I know, I know–sausages!’ It’s become a family joke and we all shriek with laughter when we watch it now,” she said. “Watching the film has become a family tradition each year. During the last couple of years, Lockhart hasn’t made any public appearances and what we know of her is that she is currently living in California.

In one of her interviews, which she have back in 2015, she looked back on her life and said, ”I’ve had many opportunities that just dropped into my lap over the years and I’m glad I was equal to them,” adding, ”I used to think 90, gosh, that’s old. But I feel 55. I’m very fortunate to still be active and working.”

After much speculation, Reese Witherspoon finally reveals that she is getting divorced

From the moment she appeared on the big screen, Reese Witherspoon became America’s favorite blonde. She starred in a number of movies, but it seems like the role in Legal Blonde was a breakthrough for the young actress.

The portrayal of country music legend June Carter Cash in Walk the Line brought Reese an Oscar for best actress in a leading role.

Reese became a mother at a young age. When she and husband Ryan Phillippe got Ava, she was 23 years old. The couple met two years before they tied the knot in 1999. Four years later, they welcomed their second child, son Deacon.

In 2011, she tied the knot with her second husband, talent agent Jim Toth. She has always spoken fondly of him, saying that he has been extremely supportive and helping, even giving her ideas of turning books into movies.

Their marriage seemed picture-perfect, but there were rumors that things haven’t been the best between them recently, and sadly, those rumors turned to be true as the actress and Jim are getting divorced.

In a joint statement shared by the couple, they explained, “We have some personal news to share… It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together.”

Reese and Jim, who were together for 12 years, share one son together, 10-year-old Tennessee James. The couple explained, “Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter.” They added: “These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone’s respect for our family’s privacy at this time.”

According to Forbes, Reese’s net worth is approximately $430 million. In addition, the couple has made quite a bit of money with real estate so there is a lot at stake when it comes to finances in this divorce.

According to a source close to the family who spoke to People, “There’s no drama. This is so hard for both of them. There’s no drama. These decisions are so difficult when there is so much friendship and love there.” The source added that despite the divorce, the former couple “still plan to work together in various capacities as they’ve done in the past.” Jim, for once, is a founding board member of his now ex-wife’s clothing line, Draper James.

According to Marilyn Chinitz, a matrimonial and family law attorney at Blank Rome in New York, Reese and Jim have obviously figured out a smart way of dealing with their shared finances and there won’t be any issues between them when it comes to money and assets. As of their son’s custody, Chinitz, who is not involved in the couple’s divorce, believes they would be cooperative. “I think they ought to be applauded for the way they’ve handled their divorce,” she added.

Jamie Lee Curtis shares sweet reason she gave her Oscar statuette they/them pronouns

Oscar winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis, who is the daughter of Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, knew she wanted to become an actress just like her mother ever since she was still just a child.

After taking some minor roles, Jamie had her breakthrough with John Carpenter’s legendary horror film Halloween when she turned 20. She was so good in the role of Laurie Strode that horror movies became her thing. Halloween established Jamie as a “Scream Queen” and opened the doors for her to a string of parts in horror films such as The Fog, Prom Night, Terror Train (all 1980) and Roadgames (1981).

Following the 2023 Oscar ceremonies, Jamie is a proud new owner of a coveted Academy Award.

“The longing for attention and appreciation for your work is universal,” the actress said. “Whatever job you do, you hope someone appreciates you. And this is a really lovely, shiny gesture of appreciation.”

“My mother and my father were both nominated for Oscars in different categories,” Jamie said. “I just won an Oscar!”

She won the award for the film Everything Everywhere All at Once, which received seven awards on a landmark night. In her speech, Jamie thanked her family and those who have supported her “genre movies” throughout the years.

During a virtual appearance on the Today Show, Jamie spoke of the entire experience and told the hosts that she’s still in disbelief. When asked whether she has named her Oscar statuette, the actress said that she hadn’t, but she would refer to is as they/them in honor of her transgender daughter, 26-year-old Ruby.

“In support of my daughter Ruby, I’m having them be a they/them,” Jamie told Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb. “I’m just going to call them ‘them’, they/them, and they are doing great.

“They’re settling in.”

In the past, Jamie has spoken of her feelings regarding her daughter’s decision to live as a transgender person.

“It’s speaking a new language,” she said. “It’s learning new terminology and words. I am new at it. I am not someone who is pretending to know much about it. And I’m going to blow it.

“I’m going to make mistakes. I would like to try to avoid making big mistakes,” she continued.

“You still mess up, I’ve messed up today twice. We’re human.

“But if one person reads this, sees a picture of Ruby and me and says, ‘I feel free to say this is who I am,’ then it’s worth it.”

Ruby works as a video editor for a gaming personality on YouTube and despite coming from a family of very famous actors, she hasn’t tried herself as an actress and has stayed out of the spotlight most of her life.

“I knew Ruby had had a boyfriend. I knew that Ruby had used the word bi. But gender identity and sexual orientation — those are two separate things,” the two-time Golden Globe winner said.

Jamie Lee Curtis winning an Oscar was just something that we have all been waiting for. Well-deserved indeed.

Melissa McCarthy has to be one of the most hilarious and most talented comedy writers and producers there are. At the same time, she’s an incredibly talented stand-up comedian, a well-known Hollywood actress, and a singer. On top of that, she is also a wife and a mother.

It’s safe to say that Melissa and husband Ben Falcone, who’s also a very successful actor in his own right, are one of the most beloved Hollywood couples. They have been married since 2005 and he never misses a chance to gush about how much he loves her and admires her.

In 2021, Ben wished Melissa a happy birthday with a lovely photo of the two taken years ago with the caption, “This was taken at a friend’s wedding, maybe 14 years ago. We had a good time. When people comment on Melissa’s looks and criticize her weight,her husband is always there to remind everyone that she is the most special woman in his life.

When film critic Rex Reed slammed Melissa in a review of Identity Thief, referring to her as a “tractor-sized Melissa McCarthy” and a “gimmick comedian who has devoted her short career to being obese and obnoxious with equal success,” the actress’ cousin, Jenny McCarthy, who is an actress, model and TV personality, stepped up for her. Jenny told E! News, “That’s obnoxious in itself. For anyone to attack like that, it’s just wrong and hurtful, and it doesn’t do anyone any good…” She added, “She’s very very talented and people know that, so…He can go to hell.”

Speaking of her weight and how she managed to lose some for the sake of the filming of The Boss, a script she wrote with Ben, Melissa said, “I have, but I’ll be back again. I’ll be up, I’ll be down, probably for the rest of my life. The thing is, if that is the most interesting thing about me, I need to go have a lavender farm in Minnesota and give this up.”

She then added: “There has to be something more. There are so many more intriguing things about women than their butt or their this or their that. It can’t be the first question every time, or a question at all…Can you imagine them asking some of these guys I work with, ‘How do you keep your butt looking so good?’”

Referring to the stereotypes, she said, “I want to get rid of constantly categorizing. Lists give somebody a way to shove and tear down women. Those women that are always shown, that we’re all supposed to be like, is like .000009% of human beings. That’s crazy.”

No matter her weight, Melissa McCarthy is an incredibly successful and loved woman. “I told her, ‘I love you every day. But today I love you most of all.’ And it was true,” her husband once wrote of her in an Instagram post.

Carrie Underwood says her 7-year-old son Isaiah is realizing that mom’s job is ‘not normal’

Carrie Underwood is not only a well-known singer, but a fitness lover as well. Back in 2015, she teamed with Dick’s Sporting Goods in 2015 and released Calia, her personal workout clothes and active-wear brand.

Recently, the Grammy-award singer, 39, who shares two sons with husband Mike Fisher, shared an adorable video of her three-year-old boy “starting the day off right” with an energetic workout.

Wearing a white t-shirt and red sweatpants, sweet Jake tries to keep up with Billy Banks’s popular workout while his mom is filming him from behind.

Like a real pro, he’s doing his best to imitate every move, from leg lifts, to arm stretching and kicks.

Carrie posted the video on Instagram with the caption, “The boys found one of my old Tae Bo DVDs in a box of things and Jake thought he’d have himself a little morning workout! I may soon have myself a gym buddy!”

The post received over 171,000 views and around 3,500 comments.

There were comments that sweet Jake would follow into his mom’s footsteps when it comes to fitness and healthy eating. But when it comes to his future career, no one knows with certainty what he or his brother would show interest about. Who knows, maybe Jake would op to become an astronaut after the family’s fun visit at the NASA Space Center in Houston, Texas some months ago.

“Had the best day talking to astronauts in space, driving moon rovers, checking out space station replicas, and meeting some really cool people! Thanks to @astro_kimbrough and everyone there for showing us around and being so sweet to my boys (who may just end up being future astronauts)” she wrote about the trip.

In 2020, Carrie published a health and fitness book titled Find Your Path. As of her plans for this year, she is set to relaunch her ‘The Denim & Rhinestones Tour’ and return to her Las Vegas residency show.

“We’re headed back to Las Vegas, baby!!” Carrie Underwood shared in a recent post. The residency will take place in The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas, which has a capacity of roughly 5,000 audience members. She will do 18 shows between June and December 2023. 

Carrie revealed that Isiah is becoming more aware of what his mother might do for a living, adding that he is “becoming more aware” of her fame!

“I feel like, Isaiah, who’s 7½, he’s becoming more aware that it’s not normal,” she said, talking about how her son is more aware that people know who his mother is. He’ll go to school and someone will be like, ‘I saw your mom on TV last night,’ ” she went on. “He’s just becoming more aware that his mom does something that’s not normal.”

Why new Madeleine McCann update could give ‘fresh hopes’ to her parents

The case of Madeleine McCann has shaken not only the country but the entire world and although it has been years since then 4-year-old Madeleine went missing from an apartment in Praia da Luz, in Portugal, while her parents were out having dinner, her case is still considered to be “the most heavily reported missing-person case in modern history.”

Sadly, 15 years later, no one knows where Madeleine could be or whether she’s still alive, although her parents and her family never lost hope of ever seeing her again.

On May 12, 2022, what would have been her 18th birthday, her devastated parents shared a heart-wrenching message. “We love you and we’re waiting for you and we’re never going to give up.”

After that many years of searching, the police was ready to close the case, but recently, the search has been extended to 12 more months and £302,470 funding has been approved. In a time of squeezed police budgets, the funding decision could raise some eyebrows, according to former Metropolitan Police detective Peter Bleksley who also said, “as long as there are unanswered questions I can see why there is a case.” 

“I understand the frustrations of families that have missing children who do not have the luxury of such ongoing funding,” he added.

So far, around £13 million have been spent in efforts of finding Madeleine, and her parents are ‘delighted’ the funding of the search has been extended. “This is excellent news. Maddie’s parents Kate and Gerry will be delighted. It gives fresh hope,” a source close to the family said.

The prime suspect in the case, German pedophile Christian Brueckner, 44, is currently serving a seven-year sentence for raping a 72-year-old American in Praia da Luz in 2005. At the same time, he’s awaiting a trial for a separate case in which he’s charged for raping an Irish tour rep in 2004. According to investigative journalist Mark Williams-Thomas, who did deep and extensive dive on the suspect, there is no link between Brueckner and the missing girl.

The case has seen a dramatic revival in the last few days as everyone has been taken aback by a 21-year-old Polish woman named Julia Wendell who has gone viral after sensationally claiming that she is Madeleine McCann. Julia gathered over a million followers on Instagram where she shares ‘evidence’ of her claims.

On her Instagram account named “Help me, I need to talk with Kate and Gerry McCann” with the username “iammadeleinemccan,” Julia shares evidence of her claims such as certain physical similarities with the missing Madeleine, like the famous rare eye defect and other facial features. As of her childhood, Julia says she remembers little to nothing.

Allegedly, as reported by media outlets, Julia’s story reached Madeleine’s parents, Kate and Gerry, who are willing to follow up on the lead. They could also go ahead with Julia’s offer to do a DNA test.

The latest information, however, casts a huge shadow of doubt over the 21-year-old’s claim after a Swiss artificial intelligence company ran an extensive facial recognition test to determine if what she’s said might be true.

As reported by Sky, Ava-X submitted photos of Julia and Madeleine into the Iris facial recognition software owned by a Swiss artificial intelligence company. The software determined it was “practically impossible” for the young woman to be the missing Madeleine.

We truly hope the case of Madeleine McCann will eventually be solve and her parents will finally get some peace.

Amal Clooney labeled ‘ugly’ and blasted for skinny legs — George has the perfect response

George Cloney has long been considered one of the most successful and most handsome actors in Hollywood. He has been a dream of many women all across the globe and no one seemed to be able to capture his heart. Well, it was like that until he met gorgeous Amal Clooney, a Lebanese and British barrister whose clients include WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko, Egyptian-born Canadian journalist Mohamed Fahmy, and Iraqi activist Nadia Murad, among the rest.

Her beauty and brain made her a famous name and the Ticket to Paradise actor didn’t stay immune to that.

“Everything about my wife is sort of magical, as I think everybody has come to realize as they see her and hear her and hear what she stands for.” George Clooney told Entertainment Tonight in 2022. “There’s just not a downside to her.”

George and Amal dated for around his months before he knew she was the one and popped the question. “Literally, I dropped it on her, and she just kept saying, ‘Oh, my God,’ and ‘Wow!’ We just sat there, and finally I said, ‘Listen, I’m 52, and I’ve been on my knee now for about 28 minutes, so I have to get an answer out of this or I’m going to throw a hip out. I might not be able to stand back up!” he recalled of the moment he asked her to marry him.

The couple wed in September 2014 at Venice, Italy’s opulent Aman Canal Grande hotel. Among the guests, there were many famous names such as Bono, Matt Damon, and Bill Murray.

Amal never forgot her roots and in 2015, she launched the Amal Clooney scholarship with the aim to give back to women in Lebanon.

45-year-old Amal looks stunning. She never fails to stun everyone whenever she’s out in public, whether that is a red carpet event or another occasion, and yet, some people believe she’s “ugly” and a “gawky gargoyle,” and post nasty comments about her on the social media.

“I am completely baffled at the fact that when George Clooney finally decides to settle down he picks Amal Clooney, who looks like an ugly man,” one Twitter user wrote in January 2015.

“She’s pretty, but her legs are shapeless sticks and sticky,” someone wrote under an ELLE Magazine link about Amal. “So terribly thin too too thin boney old thing,” another person added.

Other times, the media tried to lessen her accomplishments by speaking of her not as a successful human-right’s lawyer, but as an actor’s wife.

“Amal Clooney, actor’s wife, representing Al-Jazeera journalist accused in Egypt of ties to extremists,” the Associated Press wrote at the time Amal was representing Egyptian-Canadian journalist Mohamed Fahmy. After many reacted to this heading, they changed it to “Human rights lawyer Amal Clooney criticizes prison terms handed down to three Al-Jazeera English journalists.”

“In terms of an increased public profile, I think all I can do is try to turn the spotlight to what is important. That can benefit some clients. If I am at a work function and reporting of it focuses on irrelevant issues, there’s not much I can do about that. Since I can’t control it, my approach is just not to dwell on it and just get on with my work and my life and hope that attitudes will catch up,” Amal said in 2022 when she was recognized by Time in a cover feature titled Women of the Year, 12 Leaders Working Toward a More Equal World.

Her husband and the father of her children, George Clooney, always praises his wife and is very proud of her accomplishments.

“She’s stunning and has a great sense of style — there’s no stylist or anything, she just comes out like that and she shows up and she looks stunning. And she does it while she’s got 11 cases going — literally. So she’s an amazing woman.”

“Every single day of my life, I just feel lucky,” Clooney told The Hollywood Reporter in a 2017 interview. “Lucky in my career. Lucky enough to have found the perfect partner. Sometimes in life it doesn’t happen on your schedule, but you find the person that you were always supposed to be with. That’s how I feel, and I know that’s how Amal feels.”

Al Roker shares latest health update

Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year, is all about sharing and caring, and the incredible staff at NBC’s Today Show reminded us of that yet again.

As the longtime weatherman and host Al Roker has been experiencing health issues recently, his colleagues made sure he didn’t feel excluded from the celebrations around the holiday.

Roker was admitted to hospital some weeks ago due to blood clots but he only posted about it online after many of his fans were left puzzled because of his absence from the show he has been part of for many years.

Alongside a photo of bouquet of flowers, the TV personality wrote, “So many of you have been thoughtfully asking where I’ve been. Last week I was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in my leg which sent some clots into my lungs.

“After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers and hope to see you soon. Have a great weekend, everyone.”

Sadly, he missed the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade but was able to watch the event on TV as he was released from hospital that same day.

However, he was forced to return to hospital right after the holiday and missed his hosting duties for the Christmas Tree Lighting at Rockefeller Center, which was yet another blow for him.

“Listen, it’s been a tough slog. I’m not going to deny this,” he said on December 12 during a video appearance on TODAY.

“It’s been the hardest one yet, and you know I’ve had my share of surgeries. It gives you a profound sense of gratitude for this outpouring of prayers and thanks. I’m a very fortunate person.”

He also explained why he hasn’t been able to start working right away.

“You lose a certain amount of muscle mass for every week you’re in the hospital, and I was in the hospital for four weeks,” he said. “It’s just a certain amount of weakness. I’m doing physical therapy every day, occupational therapy. I’ve got to just get my strength back.”

He then assured his fans that he was feeling stronger and better.

Luckily, Roker would be spending Christmas at home together with his family. He even posted a photo showing off his cooking skills.

His Today family, including Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie, Dylan Dreyer, who has been filling in for Roker, Sheinelle Jones, Craig Melvin, Jenna Bush Hager, and others, surprised Roker in the most beautiful way possible, by serenading Jingle Bells and I’ll Be Home for Christmas in front of his home in New York.

“It was one of the most heartwarming moments I think (for) all of us,” Guthrie said of the moment. “Everybody was in tears, and it was just beautiful and so wonderful to see him.” 

“It’s impressive you did that without a prompter,” Roker joked and then thanked everyone for their love and support.

Bruce Willis speaks publicly for first time since he received dementia diagnosis

Bruce Willis, who was recently diagnosed with dementia after the world learned of his aphasia, a condition which affects one’s ability to communicate, celebrated his 68th birthday surrounded with family and close friends. Among those in attendance were his current wife and children, as well as his ex-wife Demi Moore and their daughters.

Moore has been very supportive of Willis and spends as much time as possible by his side.

The family could be seen smiling as they all sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to the Die Hard star, who seems to be in good spirit and sings the song to the delight of his millions of fans.

Towards the end of the birthday song, everyone shouts “Hip Hip Hooray” and so does Willis who makes a lassoing motion with his hands.

“Happy birthday, BW! So glad we could celebrate you today. Love you and love our family. Thank you to everyone for the love and warm wishes — we all feel them,” Moore captioned the video which gathered the attention of many. Willis’ fans were quick to comment how happy they were seeing the beloved actor happy and surrounded by people who love him and support him unconditionally during these challenging times.

“Happy Birthday Bruce! Blessings to your and the family,” actress Rosario Dawson wrote.

“Always one of the coolest guys ever! Happy birthday Bruce!” a fan wrote. “Even the slightest thing is the BIGGEST thing! Usually, when a person is suffering from frontotemporal dementia they don’t remember the significance of blowing out the candle. And he did it without being told to. He even commented on the dog. He was definitely lucid and a participant at the moment. I am so glad to see this! Happy Birthday, Bruce!” another person added.

“Could watch this over and over again … there’s nothing better than this … the decision to make your blended family a priority is what family dreams are made of! We love you, Bruce,” a third wrote.

It was Willis’ wife Emma who shared with her husband’s fans of his “untreatable” frontotemporal dementia.

Under a photo of herself and dementia specialist Teepa Snow, Emma wrote: “I’m thankful I got the opportunity to work with @teepasnows pac who has helped me add to my dementia care toolkit.

“She’s a loving, compassionate, and skilled leader in this space who navigates herself with pure empathy. She’s a gift.

“Head to the link in my bio as her website has a wealth of caregiving information you might find useful too.”

In response, Teepa stated, “@emmahemingwillis has done an absolutely wonderful job providing the proper support for Bruce as his abilities have evolved and creating a secure space and life that continues to offer him with what he needs to live well.

“Frontal temporal dementia is never easy but with the right programming and support, it truly is possible to continue living life.

“Congrats to Emma and their entire family for their very very hard work and dedication. It is truly remarkable!”

The family now has a more clear diagnosis and know exactly what Willis is dealing with. As they help their father with the challenges he faces, his daughters also do all in their power to raise awareness about Willis’ condition.

34-year-old Rumer, Willis and Moore’s daughter was the one to open up about her dad’s dementia. Among the rest, her statement read: “FTD is a cruel disease that many of us have never heard of and can strike anyone. For people under 60, FTD is the most common form of dementia, and because getting the diagnosis can take years, FTD is likely much more prevalent than we know.

“Today there are no treatments for the disease, a reality that we hope can change in the years ahead. As Bruce’s condition advances, we hope that any media attention can be focused on shining a light on this disease that needs far more awareness and research.

“Bruce always believed in using his voice in the world to help others and to raise awareness about important issues both publicly and privately. We know in our hearts that – if he could today — he would want to respond by bringing global attention and connectedness with those who are also dealing with this debilitating disease and how it impacts so many individuals and their families.”

We truly hope Bruce Willis’ health won’t deteriorate any further and that his condition won’t get any worse.

John Schneider shares emotional tribute after wife, Alicia Allain, passes away at 53 years old

The Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider, 62, has been honoring his late wife Alicia Allain with a series of touching posts on the social media following her passing on February 21.

Back in 2020, the couple revealed in an interview with Fox & Friends that Allain had been diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer, adding that she had been “three years into a five-year shelf life.” At the time, they shared that her cancer was in remission.

Allain was a filmmaker and music producer, mum to her daughter Jessica, and a stepmother to Schneider’s children. The pair tied the knot in 2019.

Schneider shared a post on Facebook Wednesday. “My beautiful Smile is pain free, living in her new body alongside Jesus,” he captioned a photograph of himself and his late wife, along with an image of the pair holding hands with their wedding rings.

“Please respect our privacy during this time of grief. Please do not ask any questions,” he continued.

“If you have any pictures of us and our obvious love and adoration for each other, please post them below.

“Lastly… hug those you love tight and let them know how you feel,” Schneider added. “We always did.”

An obituary published online by Wilbert Funeral Home in Plaquemine, Louisiana, said Allain died on 21 February at her home surrounded by her family.

Schneider posted a photo of him and Alicia kissing and wrote, “I simply have no words but…I miss you desperately, Mrs. Schneider!”

In another tribute, he shared a photo of him and Allain from Christmas time, with a deep message about grief and sorrow. “Alicia was the fuel that ran my biggest dreams. The inspiration behind every creative thought. The very fabric of my soul. The glue that held me together,” the  Smallville star wrote. “I miss her more than any words could possibly describe. Pain is too small a word. Grief is too small a word. Love itself is too small a word.”

Schneider asked people to bare with him as he travels a road he ‘never dreamed’ he’d have to travel. “I’ll never be the same and I know that, somehow, we are still and will always by the ‘Team To Beat.’

‘A miracle baby’: Black couple gives birth to a blond, blue-eyed child and doctors are in awe

Angela and Ben Ihegboro are a Nigerian couple who settled in London in the past. When they were about to welcome their baby daughter, they were already parents of two and little did they know that their new bundle of joy would attract the attention of millions of people and would leave doctors in awe.

When they first laid eyes on her, Angela and Ben couldn’t stop looking at their daughter’s blue eyes and golden hair.

Being black parents and having a white child came as a shock to them at first, but it didn’t take long before their dubbed the little one their ‘miracle baby.’

Some people thought that Ben wasn’t the father, but he is certain that the girl is his. Even if the father was a different person, which of course isn’t the case here, little Nmachi, as they named their daughter, wouldn’t be that white and that different from the rest of the family.

Doctors and other medical experts were stunned as well. They still don’t have an explanation for Nmachi’s pale skin.

However, there are some things they list as possible reasons. One of them is that Nmachi’s appearance is a result of certain genetic mutation and that is she is to have children once she grows old, they will probably look exactly like her. The second reason might be the presence of long-dormant white genes present in her parents’ forebears which haven’t been shown until now. And the third reason might be some modified form of albinism, although Nmachi doesn’t resemble an albino child at all.

“She doesn’t look like an albino child anyway. Not like the ones I have seen back in Nigeria or in books. She just looks like a healthy white baby,” dad Ben says.

So far, Nmachi, who was born in 2010, is a perfectly healthy child. She only brought joy and happiness in her parents’ lives.

Matthew McConaughey isn’t just an awesome actor with a brilliant Hollywood career, but he’s also a loving husband and a father of three, Levi, 13, daughter Vida, and Livingston, 10.

His love story with wife Camila Alves resembles that of a fairy-tale, and if you believed he executes roles of a romantic guy perfectly, be sure that he’s as romantic in real life. The family leaves a quiet life out of the public eye and neither Matthew nor his wife Camila Alves share plenty of photos on the social media and that is why their rare posts gather the attention of many.

Recently, Camila shared a photo of her husband cutting their son’s hair, and now, Matthew posted a photo of their oldest son, Levi, which made fans worried.

Namely, Levi, who is a passionate surfer, got involved in an accident recently and Matthew was quick to post about it. The photo shows Levi’s back which is covered in bandages because of the bruises and scratches he suffered. The caption read ‘Surf souvenirs’ and made many comment and send their well-wishes.

“We call them nature’s tattoos, brother!” one person commented. Others said how the photo reminded them of the time they were young and restless like Levi is now.

One thing is certain, Matthew McConaughey has a lovely family.

In the first glimpse of a new sad documentary, Ed Sheeran sobs as he discusses his wife Cherry Seaborn’s health concerns

Parts of the Disney+ docuseries The Sum Of It All which follows singer Ed Sheeran through his work on his fifth album, Subtract, and shows an insight into his private life hve been released.

As he shared the trailer on his Instagram, Sheeran reflected on the journey behind the project and admitted that the final result is quite different than what he initially had in mind. According to him, the docuseries was intended to portray his rise to fame, but somehow, it ended up following him on a personal journey.

The four-part series will also show the story of Sheeran’s recent personal battles, his wife’s tumor diagnosis and the passing of his mentor and close friend Jamal Edwards.

Edwards, who was the founder of SBTV and was awarded an MBE for his contribution to the music industry, died on 20 February 2022, aged 31. It was Edwards who has helped Sheeran with his career so the series shows the singer breaking down in tears at the back of the car because of his dear friend’s sudden passing.

Further, Sheeran faced another heartbreak when his wife Seaborn was diagnosed with a tumour while she was pregnant with their second child. They were overcome with “fear, depression and anxiety” because the future mum couldn’t be treated until she had given birth.

“At the start of 2022, a series of events changed my life, my mental health, and ultimately the way I viewed music and art. Writing songs is my therapy. It helps me make sense of my feelings,” the Shape of You singer said while announcing his forthcoming album earlier this month.

Eyes Closed is Sheeran’s recent song.

“This song is about losing someone, feeling like every time you go out and you expect to just bump into them, and every thing just reminds you of them and things you did together.

“You sort of have to take yourself out of reality sometimes to numb the pain of loss, but certain things just bring you right back into it. 

“Blue was Jamal’s colour, but now is all I feel. And I guess music helps heal, so I’m dancing with my eyes closed to try get through it x.”

The Sum of It All is divided into four parts: “Love,” “Loss,” “Balance” and “Life.”

Proud father overwhelmed by people’s reaction to 3 photos that he posted on the internet

It is every parent’s dream to raise their children right and help them grow into respected individuals who would contribute for the society and Ciarán Shannon of Belfast, Northern Ireland, is not any different.

He is a proud father of his daughter Niamh. When she graduated from university, he wanted everyone to know how happy he was with her accomplishments so he did that by posting three photos of Niamh and himself which he took at three different periods of their lives. Little did he know, however, that his post would go viral almost overnight and gather the attention of millions.

“I’ve just been watching the numbers go up and up,” he told BBC of the likes and comments he received. “It’s like watching the electric meter when the tumble dryer is on.”

It was obvious that something resonated with the public.

“I’m flabbergasted by the reaction my pictures have got,” he added. “The good thing is that now nearly a million people know how proud I am of my daughter.”

The first photo shows him and his daughter holding hands on her first day to school in September, 1999. The second photo shows the father and the daughter at the exactly same place, their yard, but some years later, or on her last day of high school. They are again holding hands. The last photo, which was also taken at the same place as the first two and showed them holding hands was on the day Niamh graduated from university in 2018.

In no time, the post gained 88.6K retweets and 948.9K likes and counting.

Today, Niamh works as a mathematics and science teacher and her dad is still very proud of everything she has achieved in life.

The bond between fathers and daughters truly is somewhat special.

The Bidens have announced the death of Champ, their ‘adoring’ German Shepherd

Only those people who have ever opened their hearts and homes to dogs know what unconditional love is. Owning a dog must be one of the best things there are because they teach us responsibility, friendship, and offer plenty of fun time.

When President Biden won the elections, one thing that caught people’s attention was his two dogs who got to live at the White House together with him and his wife Jill Biden.

The dogs even appeared in the campaign’s promotional videos, and people loved the fact that the Bidens have been huge animal lovers.

Unfortunately, very recently, Joe and Jill announced that their German Shepherd of 13 years, Champ, died of old age.

“Our hearts are heavy tonight as we notify you that Champ, our beloved German Shepherd, died quietly at home. For the previous 13 years, he was our constant, beloved companion and the entire Biden family adored him,” the couple posted.

“He liked nothing more at the end of the day than curling up at our feet in front of a fire, joining us as a soothing presence in meetings, or sunbathing himself in the White House garden,” the Bidens said.

“He was most content chasing golf balls on the Naval Observatory’s front lawn or attempting to capture our grandchildren as they played through our Delaware backyard.”

Champ was by his human family’s side through their most joyful and most bereaved days.

Sadly, Champ’s health started deteriorating due to old age. Yet, he never stopped being happy whenever his humans were by his side and he never stopped wagging his tail.

Champ was adopted when he was just a month old puppy from a litter at a Spring City, Pennsylvania breeder. It was the Bidens’ grandchildren who named the dog Champ.

The family owns another dog, Major, whom Joe Biden adopted from the Delaware Humane Association in November 2018 to keep Champ company.

“Our hearts are heavy tonight as we inform you that Champ, our beloved German Shepherd, died quietly at home.” He was our constant, cherished friend for the last 13 years, and the entire Biden family adored him.

“Even as Champ’s power faded in his final months, he would promptly pull himself up, tail wagging, and nuzzle us for an ear scratch or a belly rub.

“He wanted to be wherever we were, and everything felt better when he was nearby. Nothing made him happier than cuddling up at our feet in front of a fire at the end of the day, joining us in meetings as a calming presence, or sunbathing himself in the White House garden.”

“He was most happy chasing golf balls on the front lawn of the Naval Observatory or rushing to catch our grandchildren as they ran through our Delaware backyard.

“He was with us in our happiest and worst times, attentive to every unspoken sensation and emotion. We adore our cute, lovely boy and will never forget him.”

Losing a dog means losing a member of the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Biden family.
