Getting older doesn’t mean you can’t have fun! The Internet is full of fun and engaging videos of elderly people defying time and continuing to do what they love. From dancing up a storm to riding roller-coasters, people everywhere are proving that age truly is just a number – just like the woman in the footage below. At 80-years-old she decided to take a plunge down an awesome waterslide.
YouTube
When it’s summertime there’s nothing more refreshing than a nice cold pool. This grandma was ready for her dip, but instead of simply tiptoeing in – she thought she’d take the more fun route! She climbed to the top of the waterslide with her loved one who helped get her set up. The girl even handed Nana a camera so she could film herself heading down. And oh boy, are we glad she did!
YouTube
The moment the 80-year-old sits on the slide with the rushing water, you can almost feel the intense feelings coming through. It’s a mix of excitement, nerves, and maybe secretly a little – oh wow, why am I doing this? But this granny’s a trooper and scoots herself into starting position… In no time it becomes a short ride of thrills, yells, and priceless facial expressions! Watch the video below to see this senior citizen in action. Who says waterslides are just for kids?
It always crosses my mind as to why some people live longer than others. It always seems like people are on a search to find a food that could help you live a long and health life.
The oldest living person died at the age of 122 in 1997. More recently, Giuseppina Projetto reached 116 years old.
When asked for her secret to such a long life, she answered with a shocking response.
People knew her as ‘the nonna of Italy.’ She lived in a village near Florence and had a son who sadly drowned at the age of 39.
She became Europe’s oldest living person in December of 2017.
After her grandson told her the news, she said“Really? And exactly how old Am i? So many?”
She revealed she can’t go a day without chocolate. She claims this food contributed to her long, healthy life.
Despite its high fat and calorie content, chocolate can actually be pretty beneficial. Research has shown that dark chocolate’s antioxidant levels are higher than some superfruit juices!
Check out some more benefits of Giuseppina’s super food below!
Weddings celebrate love and partnership. They are special days in every couple’s life that are remembered forever, especially if they are as fun and adorable as Stuart and Vicky’s.
The guests who knew Stuart could have guessed that he had some kind of surprise planned. But when the question, “If I could have the rings, please?” came from vicar Bratton, the small grin on Stuart’s face gave all the guests a strange feeling that Stuart was going to do something unusual. Then, this wedding day in the small country side of the United Kingdom became a hilariously memorable occasion.
YouTube
One week before his wedding with Vicky, Stuart made all the preparations for his elaborate scheme, and the only person he included was the vicar. According to Stuart, he and his brother and best man Robert, have shared many past pranks. The best man’s reaction as he stood next to Stuart and Vicky at the alter showed that Stuart’s plan was really working.
YouTube
Vicky also expected Stuart to have some extra fun on the wedding day. She was clued in that there would be some sort of surprise, but watch Vicky’s amused expression as she watches Stuart’s plan unfold – this fun loving couple is absolutely perfect for each other. You will not want to miss what happens when Stuart runs out of the church. It was the event that made this joyous occasion all the more fun for Stuart, Vicky, and all of their friends, and it will get you laughing, too!
There are a lot of people out there who struggle to become parents. But, they never lose hope that one day their hands will hold a tiny creature they’ll love with all their heart. The following is a story about a couple who never gave up and who learned about the power of motherhood.
Trisha Long Bell has gone through more in the pursuit to become a mother than most could even imagine. She and her husband of six years have discovered they were pregnant seven times – and seven times their hearts have been destroyed with the news of a miscarriage.
However, even on the darkest of days, God wasn’t through with them. They found this out in a miraculous turn of events after the birth of their second boy.
Facebook/Trisha Long Bell
Trisha and her husband understood they were blessed with the birth of their first son, Urijah. After so many heartbreaking disappointments before, they knew a second child might just be out of the question.
But hoping God would bless them with one more baby, the couple kept trying. Sure enough, Trisha found out she was pregnant again and carried the baby without any major complications – that was, until the day of his birth.
Doctors discovered their newborn son was born without a heartbeat, pulse and any oxygen in his brain, which resulted in severe brain damage. They urged her to “pull the plug” on her infant boy, but Trisha just couldn’t do it. Instead, she listened to her motherly instincts and opted to do something else entirely.
Trisha shared what happened in that hospital room on her Facebook page:
“My baby was born with no heartbeat. No oxygen to the brain. No pulse. He was revived after 11 long minutes.
He was diagnosed with severe brain damage.
I remember it like it was yesterday, being told my son would have no quality of life… being told to just ‘pull the plug.’
I remember sitting in the hospital, praying, hoping, crying. I remember wanting to fix him. I remember feeling so useless, my body had failed my son. I felt broken.”
As a mother, this was the hardest thing Trisha ever had to deal with!
Facebook/Trisha Long Bell
Before giving up on her newborn, Trisha had the urge to do something so motherly and instinctual, she just knew it had to work!
“As I sat next to his bed trying to figure out what I could do to help him, I finally realized there WAS something I could do. As his mother, I knew I could provide the very most important thing that no one else could offer, MY MILK!
I didn’t nurse my oldest son, Urijah, for more than 3 months.
So with Ezrah I knew this was what I needed to do, without question, no matter how hard it got. He was fighting for his life, and this was the only way I could truly give him my all! I didn’t know if my milk would do much for his injury, but I had so much faith that it would.
I had no idea how quickly I would learn the power of Mother’s Milk.
It is, simply, pure MAGIC!
And Now, 14 months later, I know my milk has played a part in healing my child’s brain injury. I KNOW it. Women’s bodies are SO incredible. The way we are so connected to our children. The way our bodies know exactly what to do during childbirth.
The way we heal… And then we choose to do it all over again! It’s incredibly beautiful.
This picture [the one displayed above] shows MY MILK healing his little brain. I’ve had 7 miscarriages and this baby is my miracle along with my 3 year old. This picture will forever be so close to my heart.”
The drawing Trisha shared on her Facebook page depicts a mother sharing life with her newborn through her breastmilk. It’s an inspiration to mothers around the world who truly give themselves to their children mind, body and soul!

Trisha and her husband have endured more heartbreak and devastation than most people are forced to deal with throughout their entire lives! Fortunately, they’ve also witnessed the incredible power of motherhood and faith!
Imagine how awful living in a cage your whole life would be. Being held captive and missing out on all life has to offer, even the day to day things we take for granted, would be awful. For Kai and the other Ussuri brown bears, that became their life.
At the age of a cub, somebody snatched Kai from his mom and put him in a cage not much larger than him. For 17 years, all he knew was that cage.
Kai became one of four ‘living exhibits’ at the Ainu Culture Museum on a Japanese Island. Him, 27-year-old female Hanako, male Amu, and his brother Riku all lived in separate cages.
Many years before, they sacrificed bear cubs. No longer sacrificing, the bears get locked up in a cage.
Thankfully, some tourists saw the awful living conditions. They called Wild Welfare, a UK charity, for help.
Because nowhere in Japan would accept the bears, Wild Welfare called Yorkshire Wildlife Park in England. Luckily, they said ‘yes.’
The bears flew nearly 6,000 miles to their new life in the UK. Still, they had no idea what a surprise they had coming.
Now, they have four acres of land to explore. Along with climbing frames, a lake, and a straw bed, the bears now have all the food they need.
Take a look at the moment when Kai realized his freedom:
After he saw his new home, he ran right into the lake.
It seems that nowadays children are not raised as strict as we were back in the old days. When I hear stories of children having no respect for their parents or fellow human beings, it’s something I really can’t abide.
I’m immensely thankful that my parents and grandparents ensured I had a proper upbringing, being taught right from wrong at the earliest possible age.
Passengers on a flight from Germany to the USA were left especially peeved, when they were terrorized for eight hours by a 3-year-old boy and his “demonic cries”
In a YouTube video that has garnered some seven million views, passenger Shane Townley shows how the boy in question was allowed to roam free and cause havoc on the journey.
In the clip, it can clearly be seen how the 3-year-old is left to his own devices, hysterically screaming on a Lufthansa flight from Germany to Newark, USA.
For a total of eight hours, Townley filmed the child, describing him as “demonic” and pointing out what a nuisance he was for other passengers.
YouTube / Inside Edition
Even before the plane took off, the boy was already testing the nerves of the Lufthansa crew, as well as those of his mom and other passengers.
Clambering over several seats, he can be heard repeatedly screaming.
Meanwhile, the child’s mother showed very little regard, instead asking the crew to turn the internet on so he might be distracted.
“Let’s get the WLAN up and running for the iPad to work,” she says.
YouTube / Inside Edition
“Calm down, darling”
With a gentle “calm down, darling”, the mother tries to rein in her child, but fails.
After a mere 60 minutes, chaos reigns in the cabin.
Many hours later, his continued screams can be heard. The hours go by and he shows little signs of slowing down, despite his cries growing hoarse.
Although the mom was embarrassed by the situation, she did little to address it properly, instead trying to gently dissuade her son while allowing him to do as he wished, at the expense of the flight crew and passengers.
In the video below, you can see the child’s shocking behavior:
We can all appreciate that it must be difficult to travel with a toddler, but to a let a child continue to behave as in the video above is simply ridiculous.
Please share this post if you agree that children need to be raised with discipline. If you have tips on for the mother of the child in this video, post them in the comments box on Facebook.
Dreams do come true eventually. This story is a proof that when you love something really bad, life will give it to you sooner or later.
Kyle Cropsey’s favorite vehicle was always the Volkswagen microbus. When he was 16 years old, he saw one and he got so fascinated by it so he walked to it and slipped a note inside.
On that day, he was heading to the beach when he spotted a blue van with a white roof. Curious, he got closer to take a look, the owner wasn’t there but he noticed the window was open a crack. That’s when he got an idea.
Kyle wrote a note and slipped it through the window. He did it but he was pretty sure that even if the owner finds it, he wouldn’t care that much and maybe toss it away. Little did he know his note would be answered many so years later. This is a truly fascinating story!
The note had the message “Please call me” with Kyle’s phone number. When he slipped it through the window, he wanted it to land on the driver’s seat, but the note ended up on the floor.
His plan seemed to fail from the beginning. He was disappointed and thought that the whole thing was pointless. Kyle wanted only to satisfy his curiosity about how the vehicle looked from the inside, but after his failed attempt, Kyle gave up the idea of getting in touch with the owner.
Turned out, Kyle was absolutely wrong!
Cornelius, the van’s owner actually found the letter. He didn’t answer it but he did saved it and never threw it away.
8 years later, Kyle got a phone call. It was an unknown number but he answered it. He couldn’t recognize the voice, it was someone he never met or talked to before. However, the phone conversation later changed his life forever.
It was Cornelius’ son on the other end of the line. He had the old VW van! Kyle’s note had survived!
Cornelius had passed away and he left his son all his belongings. But it was his daughter who found the note. It had touched them both so deeply that they decided to try to do something about it….
The siblings thought that since their late father kept the note all that time, he would have wanted Kyle to have his dream car, so they gave it to him! After eight years, his teenage dream had finally come true!
Hear more about this story and see Kyle drive the van in the video below — and please share this story if you also thought it was nice!
It is amazing to witness a dream comes true after these years. Thanks to the kind siblings who were able to fulfill Kyle’s dream!

Being able to bring laughter in someones’s life and brighten someone’s day is a trait possessed only by big-hearted people with extraordinary souls who know that a small act of kindness can go a long way.
A little girl got a wonderful surprise when the local garbage men (bin men) showed up to her house and gave her a gift. Dad and mom filmed the sweet meeting.
Dad writes, “The bin men found out their biggest fan watches them ever week and decided to give her a present – sorry for all the ‘oh my goodness’s’ I was just so happy for her.”
He reveals that he approached the bin men a week earlier and “told them my daughter loves watching them and would the be so kind to just give her a wave next time, we only expected a wave, which is why my daughter shouted ‘he has a present’ and my wife grabbed her to go to the door, we had absolutely no idea and this was all the bin company Greyhound Recycling, the shock and enjoyment experienced by us all is genuine, faith in humanity restored.”
Note: dad revealed that the gentleman giving the present was the driver (and doesn’t touch the bin).

Sometimes when life puts as in a difficult situation out path is crossed by human angels who help us overcome our problems by offering a helping hand. For one little 3-year-old girl named Skye her angel is a woman named Hayden. And from now until forever the two ladies will share a bond that will connect them to one another for the rest of their lives. That’s because when Skye was less than 1-year-old she was diagnosed with leukemia, but her life would never be the same thanks to Hayden.
YouTube
It all began when Skye’s mom began noticing small bruises on her baby girls body prompting her to take her to the doctor. After multiple exams and blood work it was determined that she was sick with leukemia. Heartbroken, her parents found it hard to learn their baby’s diagnosis but began doing everything in their power to help little Skye. Little did they know that a woman named Hayden would soon come into their lives and impact it forever.

While Skye was receiving treatment in California, Hayden, who lived in Alabama, was in college. Unsure of her future, Hayden was struggling with finding her purpose in life. That’s when she came across a flyer asking for bone marrow donations through the organization Be The Match. Immediately, Hayden called the number for more information, soon enrolling to be a donor and being paired with little Skye. After the donation Hayden was desperate to meet the donor recipient and their family but due to regulations they were restricted from contacting each other for one year or knowing anything about them. Fast forward one year later and the family contacted Hayden to thank her for saving their baby girl. From that point on a beautiful relationship was born. Hayden desperately wanted to meet them so she invited the family to come to her wedding stating, “I know that y’all are all the way out in California, but I just want you to know that you’re wanted here.” On the day before her wedding Hayden finally got the chance to meet little Skye – and the moment couldn’t have been any sweeter. Sometimes our job can be so stressful that we have to have some fun every once in a while. Whether it’s playing silly pranks on coworkers or cracking jokes to make someone smile – having fun at work is a necessity that everyone needs on a daily basis. So when the Greenville Fire Department was challenged by the Paris Fire Department to do a “lip-synch challenge” they knew they couldn’t say no. Firefighters may have a serious job description but that doesn’t mean they can’t have a little fun.
YouTube
With the help of iamBraodway, Jeff Davis Media and eGreenvilleExtra the firefighters obtained the resources they needed to make their lip-synch video come to life. The men had a plan and knew which songs they wanted to use throughout the video but never anticipated it to gain so much popularity in such a short period of time. The end result surpassed their expectations and it is a total riot to watch!
YouTube
The video starts with Flo Rida’s popular song “My House” where one firefighter sings the lyrics and walks through the firemen’s kitchen and dining room area. They then enter the workout room where the men flex their arms and show off their muscles. The next song is a fun one “Gurl Look At That Body” by LMFAO. The show the men put on is a hoot! As water sprays them they do a little sexy dance that is impossible to resist. These guys really took the challenge to another level and it is so much fun to watch. Watch the full video for yourself in the video below. What a fun group of guys and a memory I’m sure they’ll laugh about for years to come!
A black man from a working-class family worked hard to become medical doctor.
He now works long, twelve hours of a thankless shift, and STILL has to deal with this.
Here’s his story:
I’m a black man. I’m about 6’2″, average build. Nothing too fancy. I think I look normal, not intimidating in the slightest. I grew up in a middle-class neighborhood. My parents were blue collar workers, but provided for me and my sister. We were taught manners, said our pleasantries. I got detention once in fifth grade because I was late to class because I spilled paint in my Art class and had to clean it up. But that’s it, that’s the worst trouble I’ve ever been in in my life.
I am a surgical resident at a hospital you’ve probably heard of. I was educated in a Top 10 university and went to medical school at a pseudo-Ivy League institution. I have had a great life. I’ve made sure of it. So have my parents.
Of course, I have noticed racism throughout my life. I have been pulled over and the officer has never given me a clear answer. Sometimes, they will straight up lie and tell me that I was speeding when I know I wasn’t. Once, I was stopped and frisked. The officer apologized and told me that I matched the description of a criminal-on-the-run in the area. The only description was “black man, average build.” I never reported this, but I always remember it.
Today, I was leaving after a 26-hour shift at the hospital. I’m in my fourth year of residency and the hours get longer and longer, but I’m almost done. Today was particularly grueling, because I found out that a patient I have worked with since the start of my residency is now deemed ‘terminal’ and will be moved to hospice care. It sucked, it broke my heart. It was like four years’ worth of work had been erased.
As I was walking across the parking lot, a young man younger than me, maybe twenty-five, leaned out of his car and called me the n-word.
It was loud enough so people could hear. People stared, most in shock. Others picked up the pace to get away from the earth-shattering embarrassment unfolding.
I stopped and looked at him.The man didn’t get out of his car, but he made sure I saw him. The sneer on his face, it grew into a piercing grin. He started mimicking the sounds of a monkey. He called me the N-word again. People continued to stare. My mouth fell open. The guy mocked my expression; he feigned behavior like one of my patients suffering from severe mental retardation. He was trying to show me how he saw me.
A lot of things were on my mind in the forty-five odd seconds I was standing there. I wanted to walk up to the man and list off all my accomplishments. I wanted to tell him how, in eleventh grade, I won a science fair by creating a more efficient way for our school’s agriculture club to conserve energy. It took me to a national conference.
I wanted to tell him about the first time I fell in love. I wanted to tell him about the guy who made my heart beat so fast that I thought it would explode. This guy, he was tall, his smile was dopey and his eyes were light. Just the thought of him took away the painful feelings that this man was bringing to me. I wanted to tell him that I’m a good person; that I volunteer, I save lives, I work so people like you get a chance to survive and carry on being the hateful people you are.
But instead, I walked to my car. The man called me the N-word about five more times, laughing so hard I thought it was certain he would lose consciousness.
I sat behind the wheel for a very long time, maybe ten minutes, processing. I was angry at the man, but also at the people that didn’t say anything. I was angry at myself for not saying anything.
Sometimes, I just feel alone. Who I am, simply the color of my skin, makes me the target of hate from people that I will never even know. I truly try to love and understand everyone, so when one person returns that with malice and ill-will, it’s a lot to take in.
Shutterstock
I don’t think anyone will read this, but I just wanted to tell you all about my day. I want to put this out into the world. I want to let the Internet know that black people are good.
Black people are strong, capable, smart. Black people are resilient. I’m proud of my Blackness. I’m proud of my coarse hair and thick lips. I’m proud of my body that is subject to ridicule. I am proud of who I am, what I have been through. I am proud of my ancestors who were slaves and now I am their wildest dream. Black people can be bad, too. Black people can be murderers and thieves and rapists. Black people can be everythingexcept human, apparently. I just want to be acknowledged as a human. I want to be seen as a human. I want to be known.
I love my black body. I’m tired of having to explain that pride in my black body is not hatred for any other race. I’m tired of worrying that I may be shot driving to work.
I don’t hate police. I don’t hate White people. I don’t hate anyone.
But, God, I love me. And I want that to be enough.”
People like you Sir are the kind of folks we all should aspire to be – bless you!

When you are married to someone for a long time, you assume that you know every part and every little story of your spouse’s life including likes and dislikes, favorite memories and a lot more. People are cruel sometimes. It seems like this world has gone mad, because all the empathy that was once part of every person is starting to fade and as it turns out, it will eventually vanish.
Someone hit your son’s car and caused an accident that killed your son and injured his girlfriend. While in court, the offender’s mother laughs at you. How would you feel?
Judge Quiana Lilliard understands that pain, which is why she couldn’t let a villain’s mother laugh at victims and get away with it. She did something that most people are now happy about.
This happened during a court sentencing session in a case where Amanda Kosal was accused of DUI and causing an accident that resulted in the death of Jerome Zirker and severe injuries to his fiancée, Brittany Johnson. During the sentencing, Amanda’s mother couldn’t keep her calm. She decided that it was okay to burst out in laughter while jeering at the victim’s family. It irked judge Quiana to the core!
This judge isn’t the type to let people misbehave in her courtroom especially when the case involves loss of life. She ruled that Amanda’s mom be thrown in jail for 3 long months for her unbecoming behavior. It served her right!
There are few things more precious in this world than childhood innocence. But it’s important to remember to watch what you say, and how you say it, otherwise this could happen:
A 5-year-old boy went to visit his grandmother. While playing with his toys, he looked up and said,”Grandma, how come you don’t have a boyfriend now that Grandpa went to Heaven?”
Grandma replied, “Honey, my TV is my boyfriend. I can sit in my bedroom and watch it all day long. The TV evangelists keep me company and make me feel so good. The comedies make me laugh. I’m really happy with the TV, it’s my boyfriend.”
Grandma turned on the TV, and the reception was terrible. She started adjusting the knobs, trying to get the picture in focus. Frustrated, she started hitting the backside of the TV hoping to fix the problem.
The little boy heard the doorbell ring, so hehurried to open the door, and there stood grandma’sminister. The minister said, “Hello, son is your grandma home?”
The little boy replied, “Yeah, but she’s inthe bedroom bangin’ her boyfriend.”
Do you wonder what your partner does when you are away at work? This husband got the answer to his question when he came home one day…
A man came home from work and found his three children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard.
The door of his wife’s car was open, as was the front door to the house and there was no sign of the dog.
Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall.
In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing.
In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.
He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened.
He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door.
As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap, and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls.
As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel.
She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went. He looked at her bewildered and asked:
“What happened here today?”
She again smiled and answered, “You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world I do all day?”
“Yes,” was his incredulous reply.
She answered, “Well, today I didn’t do it.”
LOL! This story was written by an unknown author, but I’m sure many couples can identify with the humor!
If this story made you chuckle, please share it with your friends and family!
No parent wants to see their child sick. But when it’s the c-word, it’s even more heartbreaking. However, life is not fair sometimes and these illnesses strike so hard that living is surviving one day at a time.
There’s nothing like watching a child lose her hair. To hold your child’s hand while he vomits from the chemotherapy coursing through his body that’s trying to save his life.
Facebook/4AydenStrong
Then, there’s processing the news that nothing else can be done. There are no more options to pursue.
How do you tell your child that?
Facebook/4AydenStrong
Dad Bill Kohler was a medic with the Armed Forces but found himself unable to help his own child. Ayden suffered from DIPG, or diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, a rare cancer that affects the brain stem.
Ayden had not one, but two brain tumors. The perceptive little boy knew what that meant.
Bill tried enrolling Ayden into numerous clinical trials to try and battle the disease. But Ayden was rejected time after time.
So to make the rest of Ayden’s days on earth memorable, he and Bill made a bucket list. They squeezed in as much fun as they possibly could.
They met WWE wrestling stars, FaceTimed celebrity chef Guy Fieri, went hunting and teamed up with the York Generals semi-professional football team for a fundraiser.
Even though Ayden was having a blast, there eventually came a time where he couldn’t walk, eat or breathe well. That’s when he said four heartbreaking words to Bill.
“Dad, I gotta quit.”
Facebook/4AydenStrong
Being a soldier, Bill told him that when Ayden had reached the point where he had fought as hard as he could until there was no more fight left, it would be okay to quit. Ayden pushed on and made it seven months and seven days after his diagnosis, Bill told the York Daily Record.
The 10-year-old had one final request. Bill and mom Jennifer vowed to honor it.
“If people gather to remember me, I want them to dance, sing, and take group pictures. If anyone asks how I want to be remembered, please say happy, funny, athletic, wise, fighter, caring, and selfless.”
In honor of Ayden’s battle and his life, Bill continues to fight for a cure for the disease that stole his son’s life all too soon. He and family members created the 4AydenStrong Foundation that helps other children battling cancer and assists their families when they’re struggling to pay the bills.
He has been pushing lawmakers to fund research for pediatric cancer. Bill also answers phone calls in the middle of the night from frightened parents worried about their children, their future and everything in-between.
Bill helps keep these parents moving forward, no matter the outcome they’ve been told. This strong man has become the rock that strangers desperately need.

After seven tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, Sargeant Jonathan Turner died in California a hero from combat injuries just a year after his retirement.
Living in Georgia, the 41-year-old veteran’s family couldn’t travel out to his funeral in California. Once the ceremony ended, the military had plans to send the remains to the family. Before they could do that, the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) stepped in.
PGR is a fantastic organization of bikers that go to funerals for firefighters, military members, and police officers. At the funerals, PGR protects them from protestors and harassment. In addition to all this, they fill the seats at homeless and indigent veterans, hold homecoming celebrations for troops arriving home, and do volunteer work for veterans organizations.
After hearing Turner’s remains were going to be shipped home, PGR refused to allow it.
“The California Patriot Guard Riders contacted all of the state captains from California to Georiga and explained the situation, that it wasn’t proper to ship this war hero home via FedEx,” explained Jeff Goodiel of the Georgia Patriot Guard Riders. “Within days, a convoy was assembled with each state’s Patriot Guard Riders driving Turner’s cremated remains across their state and then passing those remains off to the next group of riders.”
Organizers say they had hundreds of volunteers transporting the remains more than 2,000 miles across the country. The respect the PGR showed meant the world to Turner’s family.
“It’s heartwarming, to see all these people here,” said Turner’s mother, Annie Glanton. “I know that he was loved by a lot of people.”
Becoming even more prevalent, bullying stands as a huge issue. A very likely cause of this is that parents don’t teach their kids how to treat people. This father seeks to change that in his home.
When Bryan Thornhill heard his son bullied other kids on the bus, he decided his child needed to learn a lesson. With his form of discipline so unique, Bryan Thornhill soon went viral.
“Hey everyone, welcome to ‘You Better Listen to Your Dad 2018,’” Bryan started a video he posted on Facebook.
Taken from the car, this video shows his 10-year-old-son running on the side of the road with a backpack on.
“My son has finally got in trouble on the bus enough to where he was kicked off the bus for three days because he was being a little bully, which I do not tolerate, can’t stand. Therefore, he has to now run to school. We’re right about one mile from the school so all week he’s got the experience of running,” Bryan explained.
He refused to tolerate his son acting this way, and he knew exactly how to make it stop.
“We’re gonna make sure that one way or another his teachers are gonna be able to enjoy his company at school – he’s not disrupting his classmates and everything else,” Bryan said.
Bryan reports seeing changes in his son’s behavior since then. The teachers even approved of his son’s behavior for the week. He went all week without getting in trouble!
“Teach your kids. Don’t be a friend, be a parent,” he said. “That’s what children need these days.”

A motorcycle officer stops a man for running a red light. The guy is a real jerk and comes running back to the motor officer. The violator demands to know why he is being harassed by the ‘Gestapo.’ So the officer calmly tells him of the red light violation. The motorist instantly goes on a tirade, questioning the officer’s ancestry, sexual orientation, etc., in rather explicit terms. The officer, being a professional, takes it all in stride.
The tirade goes on without the cop saying anything. When he gets done with writing the citation he puts an “AH” in the lower right corner of the narrative portion of the citation. He then hands it to the violator for his signature.
The guy signs the cite angrily, tearing the paper, and when presented his copy points to the “AH” and demands to know what it stands for. The officer then removes his mirror sunglasses, get in the middle of the guys face and say, “That’s so when we go to court, I’ll remember you’re an Asshole!”
Three months later they are in court. The violator has such a bad record he’s about to lose his license and has hired an attorney to represent him. On the stand the officer testifies to seeing the man run the red light. Under cross examination the defense attorney asks: “Officer is this a reasonable facsimile of the citation you issued my client?”
Officer responds: “Yes sir, this is the defendants copy, his signature and mine, same number at the top. ”
Attorney: “Officer, is there any particular marking or notation on this citation you don’t normally make?”
Officer: “Yes sir, in the lower right corner of the narrative there is an ‘AH’, underlined.
Attorney: “What does the AH stand for, officer?”
Officer: “‘Aggressive” and ‘Hostile’, Sir”
Attorney: “‘Aggressive’ and ‘Hostile’”
Officer: “Yes Sir.”
Attorney: “Officer, are you sure it doesn’t stand for Asshole?”
Officer: “Well Sir, you know your client better than I do!”

When the time comes to celebrate the holidays, everyone wants a good company to share a laugh and some nice moments with. However, not everybody is lucky to be around other people.
The world is now celebrating one of the happiest seasons of the year.. Christmas is here and all the colors of red, gold and green are covering the streets, shops, houses, etc.. No matter how spirited you are, Christmas is the perfect time to show your generosity, kindness and gratitude.
These positive acts can come of anyone no matter the religion he or she belongs to. For example, this Muslim-owned Turkish restaurant in London showed in a perfect way how someone can express the true values of Christmas towards people especially those in need.
Hasan Masud, the restaurant owner, hanged out a sign about Christmas that you don’t see it everywhere during the holidays. The sign is now going super viral and gaining praise from people who have been photographing the restaurant and sharing the event.
It doesn’t matter where you come from or what you believe in, we can all take a note from Masud’s playbook!
See the restaurant owner’s touching gesture to unite different cultures this Christmas below.
A restaurant owned by a Muslim in London is offering a three-course meal to the homeless and elderly on Christmas Day to ensure that no one eats alone.
The restaurant, named Shish restaurant, sells Turkish cuisine. It is located in Bexley, London. The restaurant owner spread the word through social media to benefit maximum people.
The menu for the occasion will include starters like soup and cacik. The main course will include chicken or vegetarian casserole or chicken shish. There will be rice pudding for dessert.
“We’re just helping people,” Hasan Masud, an employee at the restaurant, told Buzzfeed. “Lots of people stay home alone for Christmas. They don’t need to. They can come here and have some fun.”
“We are here to sit with you,” owner wrote in a note about the offer posted to the restaurant window.
Since the handwritten sign went up, they have upgraded to a more official flyer.
If this doesn’t capture the Christmas spirit of giving, what does?

The other day, a woman standing next to me at a store in our small town read that a meth lab had been found in an old farm house in the adjoining county, and she asked me a rhetorical question…
Why didn’t we have a drug problem when you and I were growing up?
I told her I did have a drug problem when I was a kid growing up.
I was drug to church for weddings and funerals.
I was drug to family reunions and community socials no matter the weather.
I was drug by my ears when I was disrespectful to adults.
I was also drug upstairs to my room or the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents, told a lie, brought home a bad report card, did not speak with respect, spoke ill of the teacher. Or if I didn’t put forth my best effort in everything that was asked of me.
I was drug to the kitchen sink if I uttered a profane four letter word or smoked a cigarette (I do know what soap tastes like).
I was drug out to pull weeds in mom’s garden and flower beds and to clear cockleburs out of dad’s fields.
I was drug to the homes of family, friends, and neighbors to help out some poor soul who had no one to mow the yard, repair the clothesline or chop some fire wood, and if my mother had ever known that I took a single dime as a tip for this kindness, she would have drug me back to the wood shed.
Those drugs are still in my veins; and they affect my behavior in everything I do, say, and think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack or heroin, and if today’s children had this kind of drug problem, America would be a better place to live today.

Joke submitted by Scott W. from Biloxi, Mississippi.
A couple was about to celebrate 50 years together.
Their three kids, all very successful and wealthy, agreed to a Sunday dinner in honor of their parents. As usual, they were all late and had varied excuses.
“Happy anniversary, Mom and Dad,” gushed son number one. “Sorry, I’m running late… I just didn’t have the time to get you a present.”
“No worry,” said Dad. “The important thing is that we’re all together.”
Son number two arrived and announced, “Just flew in from L.A. and didn’t have time to get you anything… I’m sorry.”
“It’s nothing,” said the father, “just glad you could be here today.”
The daughter arrived. “Happy anniversary! I’m sorry, but I’ve been out of town and didn’t bring a present.”
Again the father said, “I really don’t care, at least the five of us are together today.”
Later, during dinner, the father put down his fork, looked up and said, “Listen, you three, there’s something your mother and I need to tell you. We came to this country penniless and desperate. Despite this, we were able to raise you and send you to college. But we never got around to getting married.”
The three kids gasped and said, in unison, “You mean we’re BASTARDS?”
“Yep,” said the dad. “And cheap ones, too!”

A crying baby can be frustrating and annoying for those who get around it, and people are often judging the parents for not shutting their babies up, not considering the fact that the parents themselves are just as frustrated, if not more. I believe every parent out there makes everything to get their baby calmed down but that’s not always an easy task.
Exhausted parents are always grateful for a word of kindness and support from understanding strangers, and thankfully that’s exactly what mom Lucy Hatami got when she encountered a rude young man while out to breakfast recently.
Tired of being stuck in the house all day, Lucy decided to go out to breakfast with her 8-month-old son. While she was trying to get organized, though, her son began to get fussy.
Lucy tried desperately to calm him down, but before she could, she heard a 20-something young man muttering some unkind words meant directly for her.
“I wish she’d shut that thing up!” he said loudly enough for her to hear.
Lucy was taken aback and didn’t know what to say, but soon an unlikely hero came to her defense.
“Before I could even respond his dad comes up behind him clips him round the ear,” Lucy recalled.
“What and you think you were perfect?” he chastised his son. “You were a right little sod. Now stop being a brat, go up there and apologize to her and offer to get her breakfast as she clearly has her hands full!”
Clearly, this father remembered the challenges of raising young ones and he wasn’t about to let his son get away with being rude and disrespectful to a struggling mom.
“So I got my buffet breakfast with waiter service along with a lovely coffee,” Lucy wrote in a Facebook post. “Thank you to that dad who even after 20 odd years still remembers the difficulty of being parents to babies!”
It seems this dad may still have a little parenting of his own yet to do, but thankfully he is not afraid to do it! Hopefully, his son took his lesson to heart that day and remembers to treat others with a little more compassion and respect.
We never know what road another person is walking. What a good reminder to put ourselves in another person’s shoes and show them the same amount of kindness we ourselves would wish to receive!
Are you glad this dad stepped in and put his son in line? Then share it!
Being a teacher requires a lot of patience and dedication, but very often it also requires spending money on supplies for the students who can’t afford any. This is especially true if you work at a public school where budgets are usually tight.
Textbooks are used and outdated because it’s too expensive to buy new ones. Improvement projects are put on hold because the funding simply just isn’t there. But, no matter the financial struggle, there are still people out there who do their best for the schools to function impeccably and for the students to experience the best out of the educational institution they attend.

Dr. David Harnish has juggled meeting his staffers’ and students’ needs while running a school district. So the Martin Public Schools superintendent was thrilled when voters passed a bond that secured $18 million worth of upgrades to their buildings.
After the remodeling was done at the high school, there was only one thing missing. The entire building was in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint.

Unfortunately, having a professional company tackle that project would cost an additional $150,000, he told Fox 17. There was no way Dr. Harnish could find that in the bleak budget.
“That $150,000 would’ve taken away from the kids or taken away from the potential for us taking care of our staff.”
The last time the building and classrooms were painted was in 2001. So Dr. Harnish thought outside the box and came up with a solution that stunned district parents.
He painted the buildings himself.

While others were embarking upon magical vacations, soaking up the sun and enjoying their summer off, Dr. Harnish logged 90-hour weeks for the entire summer working on the district buildings. It was the only alternative.
“We could’ve maybe done a room here or there but I would’ve been retired by the time we were completely done.”
He also hired a handful of freshly graduated students to help him out. The small crew hoped to have the buildings ready by the first day of school.
“It’s neat to be able give some of these seniors (who’ve graduated) an opportunity to do some summer work, too.”
When the bell rang for the first day of school, Dr. Harnish was there, greeting everyone and hearing nothing but compliments for the fresh face the school was sporting. The parents were stunned.

Dr. Harnish met his goal and everything looked great just in time. What an incredible gesture this man made for his students and the community!
