Paul Potts has lost a lot of weight since his first BGT audition

Ordinary people who succeed in life and reach stardom all thanks to their immense talent and hard work are worth all the admiration they are showered with.

When Paul Potts first took the stage of Britain’s Got Talent, he didn’t have high hopes. Although he trusted his signing talent and was well aware of his vocal abilities, this incredible tenor believed he was way too old to embark on such a journey as a talent show.

“I figured I was too old, probably too fat and wasn’t convinced I was good enough to get anywhere with it. In the end, I flipped a coin, I landed on heads and I submitted the application,” Paul said.

His lack of self-confidence was a result of the teasing he experienced both as a young child and as a teenager. In fact, this BGT winner didn’t have it easy in life until he stole millions of hearts with his voice.

When he was still very young, Paul’s parents struggled to make ends meet and he would always find solace in books and music. The same happened when he experienced bullying and was called names such as ”Pol Pot” and ”loser.” Speaking of the impact music had on him during his toughest of times, Paul said: ”Music makes me feel complete. It makes me feel like I’m me, and I’m good enough to be me. I don’t need to justify myself. During my childhood, I’d try to justify my existence to myself. I didn’t think I was good enough to be alive,” he said.

When he took the stage of BGT, Paul was described as a shabby mobile salesman who came from nowhere. However, that wasn’t entirely true. Critics pointed out that Paul was already an experienced opera singer who took professional lessons and that his singing wasn’t a product of his talent only, but also of hard work. Paul had minor roles in operas as far back as 1999. He worked for Bath Opera, an amateur company, and would go on to star in operas as Basilio in Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro in 2000; Don Carlos in Verdi’s Don Carlos in 2001; Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni in 2003; and Radames in Verdi’s Aida in 2003.

Paul, however, claimed that he was never paid for any of the concerts he took part in before Britain’s Got Talent, but he did all that voluntarily. As of the singing classes he took, he explained he paid everything out of his own pocket. ”I am angry about this because I have never earned anything, although I did get petrol expenses a couple of times,” Paul said in 2007.

Paul Potts / Facebook

This opera singer has been married to wife Julie-Ann whom he met on an internet chat room back in 2001. They two have been married for over 20 years now. Speaking of her millionaire husband, Jullie-Ann says that his popularity never changed him; he’s still this down-to-Earth guy he’s been since the moment she first met him. The couple don’t have any children. At the time they tied the knot they were financially unstable to be raising children, and over time, they experienced other issues. Unfortunately, Julie-Ann has also been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, a condition caused by an imbalance of reproductive hormones that can lead to infertility.

“She’s having treatment, though we’re not at the IVF stage yet… She needs to lose some weight – we both do – before they’ll start her on medication that will help her ovulate. I never want to get to the stage where we’ve turned having a baby into a military exercise, because then it stops being about love. I just think things will come out right,” Paul told the Daily Mail.

Over the years, Paul experienced issues with his weight. A few years ago, he decided to speak openly of his struggles to get into shape and lose weight. ”My weight yo-yoed during my 20s but going to the gym and following Weight Watchers meant I was able to lose 3st in two months quite easily,” he said.

Shortly after he put his weight under control, Paul was forced to undergo a surgery during which a tumor was removed from his stomach. Luckily, the surgery went well, but he then put on some weight again because he couldn’t keep up with his daily routine.

”I go by how clothes feel. If they feel tight, I need to lose weight. If they feel slack, I’m doing OK but need to try harder,” he said of his unconventional method that helps him stay in shape.

Paul Potts / Facebook

In some of the photos he shared recently it’s very much obvious that Paul dropped a few pounds and feels fit.

“I have some gym equipment at home and I do weights occasionally, but I prefer walking with my pooches,” he added. “I get plenty of gym exercise with them!”

We are glad this BGT winner is doing great in life.

16 times people got sweet revenge by doing EXACTLY what they were told to do

Never be mean to anyone and always mind your words, otherwise, karma will hit you back. No matter if you believe in this ‘force’ or not, the truth is that what goes around comes around.

The Reddit posts below are just an example of that. On top of that, they show that revenge can be sweet at times.

The posts are courtesy of r/maliciouscompliance.

1. Call When I Send A Fax? Will Do

From Redditor u/sberto:

Many years ago, before email took over the corporate environment, I worked at a large law firm and sent and received faxes for eight hours a day. I had five fax machines and two co-workers. We logged every fax. There was an incoming log and an outgoing log. And there was the ever-important confirmation sheet.

Opposing counsel was the kind of lawyer that gives lawyers a bad name. Stereotypical jack**s who played stupid lawyer games. Dropping documents at 5 pm on the Friday before a three-day weekend. That kind of petty sh*t that adds unnecessary misery to the profession.

My [boss] comes to the mailroom and says opposing counsel claims he didn’t receive a fax we said we sent. I call bullsh*t. I sent it myself. The confirmation sheet exists. Opposing counsel probably lost it. Or his secretary didn’t give it to him. Whatever. My [boss] knows I sent the fax. Opposing counsel wants to be called every time we send him a fax. He’s accused me of not doing my job and lying, and now he’s creating extra work for me. Okay, let’s play.

[Cue malicious compliance.]

What he wanted and expected was for me to call his secretary and let her know a fax was on the way. Nope. F**k that. I called his secretary and told her I was calling for my [boss]. She assumed he needed to talk to her boss so she connected me. Opposing counsel answers expecting some kind of substantive discussion. Instead he gets the mailroom guy. I said, “I’ve been told to let you know every time I send you a fax. I’m sending you a fax.” We hang up.

An hour later I call him again. New fax.

Half an hour after that I call again. New fax.

Another hour another call another… fax.

My [boss] comes to the mailroom with a big smile on his face. He’s giddy, almost giggling. He says opposing counsel asked that the calls stop. He no longer needs to know when faxes are coming. He’s tired of being interrupted. Sometimes you get exactly what you ask for.

2. Calling A Tow Truck? I Won’t Stop You

From Redditor u/gabgab01:

i was visiting my mother with my car, picking her up to go to a restaurant.

At her residence, I had trouble finding a parking spot, so I “parked” my car near an entryway. “Parked” in quotes because I kept the car running and stayed behind the wheel, texting my mom to come out because I’m waiting for her, in case I have to move the car to let someone else pass.

While I was waiting for my mom, another resident pulled up in his car and went into the entryway. I had to move the car a bit to let him in. The dude exited his car and came to me, red faced.

“What do you think you’re doing? You can’t park here…!”

“That’s why the car is running and I’m sitting inside. I’m not parking.”

“Like f**k you are! I am calling the tow service and you better not move!” And then he went into his home.

[Cue malicious compliance.]

So I complied. I was p*ssed, but I stayed. Technically, I could’ve just left, driving carefully around him. He never wrote down my license plate and I did not [break] any rules. But he said to not move, so I didn’t.

When my mom came down, I explained the situation to her, and she agreed with me, that I have not broken any laws.

A few minutes later, the tow truck came. I stepped out, with a bit of a scowl on my face, ready to clear up the misunderstanding, but instead, the tower took the initiative with a smile: “Ah, I see what’s going on. You got blocked in. Lemme fix that for you,” and he towed the other guy’s car!

In the end, the angry dude had to pay to get his car back, as well as pay for the towing, since he called the tow service, and I got a nice meal at a restaurant and a fun story to tell.

3. Reimburse You 10 Cents? I’ll Mail It To You

From Redditor u/brother_p:

Back in the days before unlimited mobile phone calling plans and long distance, I had a company-paid flip phone. There were all kinds of fussy rules attached to using it – no texting (even though texting was free), no long-distance calls (with one exception as I’ll explain below), no special ring tones, and no using the camera. Like I said, fussy rules.

The one exception to the “no long-distance calls” rule was for travel. In my job, I rarely would have to travel to a different calling area (i.e., “roaming”) but if I did I was permitted one long-distance call per day to call home. That’s it.

So. The day came when I had to travel and stay overnight in a hotel for work. When I arrived at the hotel, I called my wife to let her know I arrived and spent a couple of minutes talking to my kids. Got some supper, did some work in front of the TV in the hotel room, and went to bed.

The next day while at the conference I was attending, I got a call from my home office. As I was in a large hotel, the call dropped so I had to call back. Didn’t think anything of it, went back to my session, and enjoyed the speaker. Later, after I got back to the hotel, I called home to say goodnight to the kids. I got the answering machine and left a message. Didn’t think anything of that either. The next day I returned and went on with my life.

At the end of the month I got a call from Finance.

“Brother_p, it’s <<finance supervisor>>. I’m just reviewing your latest cell phone bill and it shows an unauthorized long-distance call.”

“Really? What was the date?”

“April 3rd. You made a call to <<my office number>> at 9:20 am then another one to <<my home number>> at 6:15 pm.”

“Oh, yeah, that’s when I was at a conference. The first call was to me from the office but I got cut off and had to call back. I called home from the hotel later.”

“So, how would you like to reimburse us for the call?”

“I beg your pardon?”

“The second call. You have to reimburse for the unauthorized long-distance call. You have an expense claim from the conference in so I can deduct it from that, or you can pay directly.”

“How much are we talking about?”

“Ten cents.”

“Ten cents?”

“Ten cents. Would you like that deducted from your expense claim?”

I thought I was being punked. Seriously. I sat in stunned silence for a few moments.

[Cue malicious compliance.]

“No. You know what? I’ll pay you directly,” I said, and wished the supervisor a pleasant day.

I opened my drawer where I had some spare change, took two nickels, taped them to a sheet of 8.5 x 11″ paper, and wrote “for cell phone charge” and my name. I then took a company envelope, addressed it to the finance office (in a different building walking-distance away), folded the sheet of paper, and put it in the envelope. I put the envelope in the outgoing mail tray, the postage for which would be paid by the company.

A few days later I got a call from the comptroller herself. Three pay grades above me and usually wouldn’t interact with someone on my level. Apparently the supervisor complained about me.

“What’s with the nickels?”

I explained the situation, told her the supervisor had insisted that I pay the 10-cent charge and I complied. She laughed out loud. The paper, envelope, and postage had cost the company more than what they recovered.

The following month the finance department updated the cell phone policy. From then on, only long-distance charges in excess of $10 had to be reimbursed.

4. Don’t Touch Your Laundry? Not A Problem

From Redditor u/pluggedinbutdead:

Background: I live in an apartment building with a backyard. Landlady has set up drying lines in one part of the backyard that we’re free to use. I live on the ground floor and my apartment has direct access to the backyard. I work from home, so I’m almost always here every day…

I have perfect view of the lines and can see if there are any clothes on them. Sometimes a fellow resident will hang their clothes and either forget about them or be somewhere else when it’s raining.

So what I usually do is I bring them in and leave them in a little waiting room we have in the building where they can easily find it. It’s happened enough times that everyone already knows I’m the one doing it.

A few weeks ago, one of the residents came to me and complained about how I handled their clothes. She said I laid them down on a dirty surface, or rumpled them too much (they were just washed; of course there’ll be creases). She might have also insinuated that some pieces were missing… She ends her complaints with: “I’d rather you not touch my clothes in any way.”

That’s the first time someone complained to me about rescuing their freshly laundered clothes. Didn’t think much about it, until today.

[Cue malicious compliance.]

A few hours ago, I see her [putting] her clothes to dry. Fast forward to now, I’m looking at them getting drenched from this awesome rain. She did tell me not to touch them.

I’m currently working in front of the window so I can see when she finally takes them. Maybe I’ll give her a wave.

Update: She finally took them some time ago and asked me why I didn’t bring them in. I reminded her of our past conversation and she called me a childish f**ker.

5. Won’t Stop Calling? Be My Guest

From Redditor u/StereoOnCookingBacon:

… Back in the day, we moved into a new town and on the first night discovered that the phone company gave us the phone number of a Chinese restaurant that had closed six months earlier. Literally dozens of times each Friday and Saturday night, our phone rang from people who had the old menus (back when there were paper menus.)

I figured if I just told everyone they closed, it would only be a couple weeks before the calls stopped. [Narrator: The calls continued for months.] This is how the calls went:

Me, every time I answered the phone: “Hi, China Blossom closed. Wrong number.”

Eight out of 10 callers: “Oh, sorry. Bye.”

10% of callers: “What? Why did they close? When did that happen? Do you know another good Chinese place? They really closed? Huh, they were real good. So did they convert the restaurant to apartments or something? What’s that like?” (Note: I was not living in an abandoned Chinese restaurant; I just had their old number.)

But the other 10%, oh that other 10%…

Hangry Jerk: “No, they did not close.”

Me: “Yes, sorry, they closed.”

Hangry Jerk: “No, I just drove by today. You’re open. Cut it out and take my order.”

Me: “They closed. Bye.” (Hangs up)

Hangry Jerk calls back and I answer because… I needed to answer my phone and this was before you could screen calls.

Me: “Seriously, stop calling, they closed.”

Hangry Jerk: “Just f**king take my order. I know you’re open.”

[Cue malicious compliance.]

Me: “Sure, What can I get you?”

HJ: (Orders)

Me: “You want fried rice with that? Okay, 45 minutes.”

Forty-five minutes later when the person is sitting in an empty parking lot outside a closed restaurant, the phone rings.

HJ: “What the f**k? There’s no lights on! The door is locked! Where’s my food?!?”

Me: “I told you they closed.” click

6. No Time Off? Think Again

From Redditor u/wbjohn:

My mother passed several years ago and this is one of her best stories. She worked as the head of the transcription department of a government agency. Whenever she would ask for time off, her boss would refuse. This went on for years and her leave just accrued.

[Cue malicious compliance.]

One day when she was about to turn 63 years old she walks into her boss’s office and tells him she is giving him two years’ notice that she will be retiring. He is very confused as to why she is giving so much notice. Then she informed him she will be on vacation for the rest of her employment as she has two years of leave accrued and walks out the door.

7. Can’t Do Anything About It? Well, I Tried

From Redditor u/No_Sweet4190:

My dad was a tire builder and union organizer in Detroit. At our local bank there was always a sort of conscious condescension by the tellers for blue-collar workers.

My dad was in weekly to deposit his check and take cash for the week. He finished one visit, and turned away and walked a few steps, then turned back to tell her he got the wrong amount of cash. Before he could say a word, she snootily said, “You should have counted before you left my window. I can’t do anything for you now.”

[Cue malicious compliance.]

He smiled and nodded and walked out with his extra $50. That was a good week for us. As a reference, gas was 19 cents a gallon at the time.

The next week he went to a different teller and waved casually in response at the former teller’s frantic motions to see her.

8. Call Before 6 AM? You Got It

From Redditor u/JackeySparrow:

My job starts at around 14:00 [2 pm]; usually that means I wake up about 9 in the morning. A few weeks back I woke up at 9 feeling sick and dizzy and throwing up. Went to bed fine the day before. Called work at around 10 and said I couldn’t get in.

Manager immediately is like: Our policy is to call in sick before 6, so you won’t get your hours. My manager arrives at the building at around 10, so it would have been impossible to call before 6. Anyway, we also have to call daily to let them know if we are going to come in if we are sick.

[Cue malicious compliance.]

Next morning at about 5 I wake up and call. No answer (duh, no one’s there yet); decide to call manager directly.

She answers are groggily and is like, “What?!”

Me: Yeah, wanted to let you know I am still sick.

Her: Couldn’t you have done that last night?

Me: Yeah, but I could have been better this morning.

Next day I do the same and the day after too. She then sends me an email explaining how the rules been changed and 10 is now acceptable.

9. Put Your Food In The Bag? If You Insist

From Redditor u/allnamesaretaken467:

About a decade ago, I was in a McDonald’s. I had ordered and paid, and was just waiting for my food near the pick-up counter. In walked a man with a serious case of Main Character Syndrome. He placed his order, then stood directly against the pick-up counter.

Shortly after, my food came out (and yes, they called out my order number). He quickly snatched it up, then looked in the bag and noticed it wasn’t the right food.

Since there was no chance he could have made a mistake, he started to complain. Yelling that they gave him the wrong food, he insisted they put his food in the bag right away.

[Cue malicious compliance.]

With the joy of someone who doesn’t get paid enough for this sh*t, they gladly obliged. Taking the bag back, they quickly piled all his food right on top of mine. The toxic levels of smug emanating from the man dissipated as the employee turned and handed me the bag.

“I’m sorry, sir. This bag wasn’t your order. It was his [mine]. Your order will be just a few more minutes, as we need to remake it.”

10. Mind My Business? That’ll Be Easy

From Redditor u/HalNicci:

… My [mother-in-law] was pulling in to a parking space at a big blue store and the person parked in the space in front of her was starting to back out of the spot and had left her cart there. So my MIL went to grab it and just use that for her shopping. The woman had left her wallet in the seat of the cart though, so my MIL flagged her down and got her attention.

The woman immediately starting going off at my MIL, telling her to mind her business and that the cart was fine where it was, so my MIL decided to take her advice.

[Cue malicious compliance.]

She told the woman, “Fine, I’ll mind my business. Your wallet will be at customer service.” And then walked away.

By the time the woman registered what she had said, parked again, and went into the store, my MIL had already dropped the wallet off at customer service, where there was a long line, and warned them that she was pretty nasty.

Apparently when the woman went to get her wallet, she started to make threats and was threatening to call the police if anything was missing. The manager told her she would not be doing that, and that it was her own fault she left the wallet in the cart.

11. Do Nothing All Day? Say No More

From Redditor u/Languid_Bot:

When I was a baby, my mother was home full time with me and three siblings under the age of 6. According to my mother, one day my father comes home and is mad because dinner isn’t ready and waiting for him.

Mom tells him she’s been busy and it’ll be ready soon. Dad says he doesn’t know why she didn’t do it sooner (and here’s his mistake), because it’s not like she’s been doing anything all day but sitting around “babysitting.” Foolish, FOOLISH man. Game on.

[Cue malicious compliance.]

My mother decides she will show him what life is like when she sits around all day “doing nothing.” For the next few days Mom lets the kids run wild. She picks up nothing. She doesn’t tell the kids to pick up anything. She doesn’t stop the kids from getting into anything.

Mom said she just sat around making sure nobody was doing anything dangerous. She doesn’t clean, do laundry, etc. BUT dinner was waiting! LOL

After several days of a HOT MESS at home my father couldn’t take it: He apologized and admitted he was wrong. Quite a milestone in our family. Dad was NOT known for admitting he was wrong OR apologizing! Mom 1, Dad 0.

12. Don’t Help Anyone? Sounds Good To Me

From Redditor u/PS4NWFT:

I used to be an assistant golf course superintendent. One day my boss had me spraying chemicals on the fairways.

As I was spraying, some of our employees were having an issue with their machine. I stopped to help them, and my boss pulls up and starts flipping out on me, saying if I’m spraying fairways, that all I need to be doing is spraying fairways. Not anything else. Okay, no problem.

A couple weeks later, the exact same scenario happened. I was spraying and some employees needed help.

[Cue malicious compliance.]

I ignored them and just kept on spraying. Their machine was broken down for nearly half an hour in the middle of the fairway during play before my boss rode around again and saw.

He came up to me livid and was saying that if I’m spraying fairways and I see someone needs help, I need to be able to break off and help them…

I told him I didn’t understand, because two weeks ago he explicitly told me to ONLY spray and reminded him of how he got mad when I did exactly that. He just stared at me for a second and then drove away in his golf cart. He came back a few holes later to apologize and says he did remember telling me that, and from now on I should just use my best judgment. Uh -duh!!!

13. Not Enough Eye Contact? Allow Me To Stare

From Redditor u/Expensive_Theme7023:

I used to work retail in a DVD/CD store… One day an older bloke came in asking about a certain smaller ’80s rock band that I can’t remember. I looked on the computer for him and was able to track down their album names, which of those albums he wanted, located the album in stores around the country, and got his details to enter into the computer for when the albums arrived in store so that we could contact him. He thanked me and said that he was so happy that we could get these albums in for him and left the store.

The next day I get called into the boss’s office because of a customer complaint. It was and is my only ever complaint in any job for the past nine years of working. [The customer] had… complained that while my service was lovely, I didn’t make enough eye contact… When I was using the computer.

Cue malicious compliance: Three days later he came in because he had another band he wanted to order. Luckily I was working. As soon as he walked in, I greeted him with the biggest smile and locked him straight in the eyes. When he asked for if we had any of his band in stock, I typed it into the computer while maintaining direct eye contact. It took me about four tries to find the right keyboard letters as I wasn’t that great at touch typing. He was starting to get annoyed but he didn’t voice it. Then I had to search what store location these albums were at. That took another couple of attempts to type. I turned the computer monitor around to the point it looked like it was going to snap off. I had to move displays from the counter, which took more time, but finally I was able to set it up at such an angle that I could read it off with a quick glance but also still maintain eye contact. At this point he started to squirm and look away, but I was only beginning.

Next was his details and taking his deposit (normally $10). I took me a solid six attempts to enter his details into the system as you had to select each box to type in, and that was hard considering I wasn’t looking. At this point he had gone rather quiet and was looking at his shoes. When he handed me his money I still maintained direct eye contact and even dropped it accidentally out of my hand, which then led me to awkwardly slap around on the counter until my hand found it. Wouldn’t want to break that eye contact looking for a few coins.

After all the typing attempts, it took me an extra 10 minutes to serve him, all because I couldn’t look at what I was doing. To this day I’ve seen him a couple of times but he won’t come to my register, and he doesn’t make eye contact or hides in the aisles until I’m busy with another customer. A shame really; he had such lovely brown eyes.

14. Don’t Tell The Students? Won’t Say A Word

From Redditor u/russian_hacker_1917:

Back in senior year of high school… I had an amazing English teacher. Very engaging and passionate about what he did: a great class to have first period.

Well, the class is all seniors, and it was the end of the year and finals were coming up; you know how that goes. Our school’s schedule for finals was two periods/classes per day for three days.

The administration, wary of senioritis and kids skipping class, warned the teachers that they must hold class on the day of their scheduled final and that they cannot tell the students that they do not need to show up.

[Cue malicious compliance.]

So my teacher, the week before finals gets up in front of the whole class and says, “For our final, we will be watching a movie. Now, the administration has told me that I am not allowed to tell you that you do not have to show up to this final…”

He stares at us and pauses for a few seconds.

“…so I will not do so.”

Needless to say, I got some extra zzz’s that finals week.

15. Wait Until You Finish? Whatever You Say

From Redditor u/I_aim_to_sneeze:

I just got a nosebleed for the first time in a while, and it reminded me of this story…

One day, while I’m in the office, I get a pretty profuse nosebleed. I tried to just plug it up and keep going about my day, but this one was lasting, so I head over to my boss’s desk to let her know I was gonna work the rest of the day from home and take care of my nose.

She’s currently talking with one of my co-workers, and normally I wouldn’t interrupt, but given the circumstances I came up and started with, “Excuse me (boss), sorry to interrupt, bu-“

Without looking up, she cuts me off and says, “You can clearly see I’m in a one-on-one; please be polite and wait for me to finish.”

[Cue malicious compliance.]

All right, you got it. By this time, the tissue I was using to plug my nose was getting redder and redder, and by the time she finally looked up, it wasn’t a pretty sight. She asked me why I didn’t say something sooner, and I just repeated back to her what she had told me. She sheepishly said, “Obviously stuff like this would be an exception…”

I just shrugged and walked back to my desk to get my things.

16. Don’t Like The Salad? Then You Make It

From Redditor u/CheeseLover80:

I have never liked iceberg lettuce, but growing up, that’s what we got. Every time we had a salad, I begged my mom to use less lettuce, and after all my begging sessions, she said, “When you make dinner, you can make it how you like it.” I was probably 5 at the time.

I turn 8, and I am now allowed to use the sharp knives. Mom asks me to make the salad for dinner as I am now old enough to help.

[Cue malicious compliance.]

I took one leaf of lettuce and chopped it up and then put in about a half pound of cheese, every grape tomato we had, and lots of raw onions. When I put it down on the table, she said it was not a proper salad as there was not enough lettuce. My response was, “Well, Mom, when you make dinner, you can make it how you like it.”

Needless to say I was never asked to do the salad again, but I was satisfied that my family ate it that way because they had been bested.

Woman Leaves Angry Note For Stranger Who Stole Her Parking Spot. The Response Is Shocking.

Imgur user Pemu posted these pictures after her friend got a parking ticket when a stranger parked in her paid-for parking space.

Frustrated that she had been fined because a stranger stole her paid-for parking spot, this woman decided to write a angry note.

“Hey Stranger, Because you were parked in my spot last night (and still are??), I got a ticket for street parking overnight w/out a permit. I’m broke. These are privately owned spots, and I could have you ticketed + towed. I won’t, but please don’t park in my spot again.”

She was surprised to find an envelope under her windshield wiper the next day. And shocked when she found a letter of apology together with $100 in cash.

“First I would like to apologize for parking in your spot. It was irresponsible on my part and I would like to give this to you to pay for the ticket and whatever else you need. It can be tough around this time of year. Merry Christmas – the a**hole who parked in your spot.”

Perhaps there is hope for humanity yet.

Michael Landon felt guilt over thoughts about his daughter: “If she didn’t exist, I wouldn’t feel all this pain”

When it comes to Hollywood icons, one of the names that comes to mind is that of incredible Michael Landon. This man had huge impact on the film industry and helped many young actors and actresses skyrocket their careers and reach remarkable success.

Best known for his roles of Little Jose Cartwright on the iconic western television show Bonanza and that of Charles Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie, Landon is still considered one of the best actors ever.

Source: LittleHouseonthePraire.com

Throughout his life, he had been married three times and had nine children. Although he always tended to keep his private life out of the spotlight and rarely spoke of his children publicly, he was known as a very loving and devoted father.

Speaking of his sons Mark Fraser Landon and Josh Fraser Landon, who are his first wife’s biological sons and whom Landon adopted, he told People back in 1962: “I hate it when someone calls them ‘adopted’ …They’re my sons — period.”

Indeed, everyone who knew him personally would say that Landon was an awesome dad to all of his nine children.

However, as it turned out, it was his daughter Cheryl, the biological child of his second wife, Lynn Noe, who gave him the hardest time while growing up.

In an interview with The Washington Post in 1983, he opened up about Cheryl’s addiction to Miltown, a drug similar to Valium. He revealed how he suspected that she could be using substances but had a hard time convincing himself that to be true.

“I suspected it during her last two years of high school,” he said. “Then she went to the University of Arizona. And I used all the excuses; no matter what she told me I would believe because I wanted to believe.”

At the age of 19, Cheryl almost died of overdose and that’s when Landon sent her to rehab. She spent some years there until she was finally clean. At the time of her stay there, Landon confessed he had thoughts that made him feel guilty for the rest of his life. “You get very guilty about some of the feelings you have about your own child, one of which is, ‘I wish she did not exist,’ he told The Post. “‘If she didn’t exist, I wouldn’t feel all this pain.’”

Landon was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which spread to his liver at the age of 54 and passed away on July 1, 1991 with his wife Cindy by his side.

His daughter Cheryl cherished his life and paid tribute to him with her book I Promised My Dad: An Intimate Portrait of Michael Landon in which she wrote of her relationship with him and their strong bond.

Michael Landon has given so much to the world with his iconic roles and his heart of gold. May he rest in peace.

Daughter pulls off the wig of a girl with cancer, father forces her to shave her hair as punishment

As parents, we tend to teach our children to know right from wrong, but oftentimes, because of different reasons, we fail. One father learned that his daughter was bullying a girl who had cancer at school. Things went far and she even pulled the girl’s wig off. This made the father angry so he decided to take matters in his own hands and punished his daughter in a way that caused a stir, as well as mixed emotions, on the Internet. Since many slammed him for how he dealt with his bully daughter, the father later deleted the post.

“My ex-wife and I have a 16-year-old daughter together of which I have full custody (she has moved on with her new family)… My daughter recently got in trouble at school for making fun of a student that lost her hair from cancer treatment. Including pulling off her wig,” he started his post.

“Apparently there is some pre-existing bad blood between the two of them, but I don’t think that even begins to excuse her behavior.”

As it turned out, his daughter was now dating this other girl’s ex-boyfriend and that was the reason why they weren’t fond of each other.

“At some point the other girl mentioned how my daughter’s boyfriend was just using her for sex (this was actually a big shock to me as I had no idea she was sexually active) and called my daughter a sl*t,” the father shared with CafeMom. “That’s what escalated the situation and resulted in the wig incident. Supposedly they have been arguing in class ever since my daughter started dating the guy in question. Basically just stupid teenage ‘he said she said’ nonsense.”

After he learned of what was going on and what his daughter did, he gave her two options to choose from in order to teach her a lesson. The first one was for him to throw all her electronics away, and the second one was for her to go to the hairdresser and get a bald haircut. The daughter chose the latter and went to school with a bald head.

“…Everyone thinks I went way overboard. Her mother went ballistic at me saying it will make her the target of bullying (kind of the point, teach her some compassion),” the father wrote.

He believed he did just the right thing, but not many agreed with him. A lot of people took their time to comment on the situation. One person wrote: “Your daughter is a bully because you are a bully. I seriously doubt this is the first time you used abuse and humiliation to ‘teach her a lesson.'” Another person added: “There’s a term for what you did. It’s called child abuse. Taking away her electronics would have been an appropriate punishment. Grounding her would have been an appropriate punishment. Disrespecting her right to bodily autonomy and humiliating her is not an appropriate punishment. She’s unlikely to learn from it and if anything it risks perpetuating a cycle of bullying.”

Representational Image (Source: Getty Images | Photo by Svetlana Popova)

However, there were also those who praised his parenting. “I support your decision completely. You’re her parent so you have every right to do this, it’s not abusive, it’s real life. If she’s comfortable attacking someone for something they have no choice over she needs to see how it feels,” someone in support of the father wrote.

“She will see what kind of impact actions like hers have on the victim and that will teach her a very important lesson,” another supporter added.

So, what do you think? Do you believe the father went too far with the punishment? Share your thoughts with us in the comment section below.

These absolutely identical triplets are already 7 years old: how handsome they look and grow

Roman, Roan, and, Rocco captured many people’s hearts the moment they were welcomed into the world. Having had an older sister, these identical triplets made their mom and dad feel overwhelmed, but the thought of a large family was an adorable one, despite the effort it takes to raise four children.

These triplets made headlines and were featured in magazines from the moment they were born. Their birth stunned many, because identical triplets are born once in 200 million.

Realizing how many people were interested to see what life is like raising triplets who resemble one another so much that it is very hard to tell who is who, their mom decided to document their days on her blog on social media.

In no time, they attracted many followers who enjoyed watching the three brothers and their older sister have fun each and every day.

Roman, Roan, and Rocco were offered cooperation with a number of clothing brands and toy stores, so it’s safe to say that they childhood is a fulfilling one.

Today, the boys are seven years old and they still look exactly the same, but now, their family and friends don’t have a hard time distinguishing them because they have very different characters.

Roman is a born leader. He is the first one to arrive in the world, so he’s the oldest, although for a few minutes only.

Roan, on the other hand, has a very thoughtful approach to everything he does. Before he does something, he first things over the pros and cons several times.

The youngest one, Rocco, is a perpetual motion machine and the main bully in the family who is always looking forward to a new adventure.

The boys live together with their mom and sister, while the father left the family home while the triplets were still young because he felt stressed and lacked sleep. The mom says she doesn’t hold a grudge against her now ex-husband and doesn’t expect any help from him.

We wish this beautiful family the best life brings.

A letter from a child written in the 1960s makes startlingly accurate predictions about current events

With the rapid advance of technology, we can’t help but think of all the incredible inventions that await us in the years to come.

From the moment Alexander Graham Bell made the first ever telephone call in 1876, and showed the world that transmission of speech is something real, until this very day when phones serve as pocket computers, a lot has changed.

A letter written by a school girl in what appeared to be the year of 1969 found inside a sofa showed her predictions about the world in 10 years time from then.

The letter was found by a couple, Rosa Beckerton and her husband Peter from Cambridgeshire, who were reupholstering a used sofa. This wasn’t the first time for them to come across different items stuck inside old furniture, but this one left them speechless.

They found the letter just recently and decided to post it online and show everyone how accurate some of the predictions turned out to be.

“The year is 1980, the time is half past moon dust,” the letter, dated February 23, 1969, begins. “I’m sitting here at the age of twenty-one on an air cushion.”

Then it goes on, “I recall going to school when I was 11 years old; things have changed since then. The television, for instance, has changed.

“In 1969, it was a boxy shape with knobs on the front. Now, you can turn it on and off using knobs on the arm of your chair,” the 11-year-old girl wrote.

Her prediction wasn’t far from the truth. Just think of the TV remote control which gained popularity in the 70’s and 80’s.

“I am married and work at a bank, dealing with money,” she added. “A bank assistant has always been my dream job.

“Well, my husband will be coming home from work, but unlike in 1969, I don’t have any tea to make.”

“The only food we have is a bit of chewing gum. You may believe that we do not have enough food, but you would be mistaken because this bit of gum is food.

“When you chew this gum, you can feel the meal entering your stomach. It’s also palatable. No messy cleanup is required afterward,” she wrote.

Well, although this isn’t true and we still prepare our dishes, there are food supplements most of us take. But imagine what it would be like if someone has truly thought of creating a gum like this?

“Now, here is my hubby, ‘Push the button, sweetie.’ We have electric doors, so what I intend to say is press the button to open the door,” she wrote.

What followed is her most accurate prediction, the concept of looking at someone through a screen while talking to them.

“In 1969, a telephone was simply a square box with a receiver perched atop it. But now, despite the fact that it still functions as a receiver, you can see the persons you are speaking to thanks to a screen. It is somewhat akin to a television.

“Really, looking back over those ten years, I can see how much has changed,” the girl wrote.

Rosa said she was thrilled with the letter she and her husband found because it showed the girl’s forward thinking and her pure, innocent manner that all those things she believed would become a reality would happen in just ten years time.

The letter was rated “Good” by the teacher, but we believe the girl deserved better, don’t you think so?

They could hardly wait for their baby girl to be born

The anticipation of finally meeting their bundle of joy and holding it in their arms grows bigger and bigger with each passing day for moms and dads-to-be as the delivery date approaches.

Andrew and Lacey Jackson, parents of two boys, Elliott, 7, and Devin, 4, couldn’t wait to welcome their baby girl in their lives.

When baby Natalie finally arrived, they were over the moon. However, the moment they noticed the doctor’s facial expression, they knew something could be wrong. When they saw their baby daughter, they were “struck with panic.”

“Hearing her first cry was incredibly beautiful,” mom Lacey said of the birth. “After my C-section, the nurse raised our child up, and I noticed the large black bruise on the left side of her face.

“She was stunning, but she appeared to have a bruise, and I was concerned that it was due to something I had done to her during my pregnancy.

“Medics stated it was only a birthmark, and she was breathing and healthy,” she said.

Natalie was a true beauty, but both Lacey and Andrew got concerned that others won’t be able to notice that because of the mark that was on a great part of her face.

“As I hugged our precious baby girl, feeling enamored with her, I worried that people would only perceive her for her birthmark, rather than the beautiful person I knew she would grow up to be,” Lacey explained.

“At that point, I made the decision that we would love her unconditionally and give her every ounce of confidence in the world, so she could see how lovely she is – and how she can do everything she desires.”

When the brothers met their baby sister, they were both curious to learn what more about the thing that is covering her face. Andrew then took his time to explain that Natalie is somewhat special and the black patch on her face is her superhero costume. As a result, she would be able to do anything and achieve great things later in life.

Yes, there certainly are stares out there by complete strangers, but there are also those who say that Natalie is gorgeous and very much unique.

“We’ll always tell her it’s a part of who she is and who she’s destined to be,” her parents say. “People will always remember how unique she is because of her birthmark, as well as how lovely she is on the inside and out.”

Of course, Lacey and Andrew has had their concerns regarding their baby’s birthmark so they took her to an ophthalmologist just to make sure the mark doesn’t affect her vision in any way. They also paid a visit to a dermatologist and a skin specialist. The cutie pie had also undergone an MRI scan. Thankfully, everything seemed fine. She does face a multitude of health concerns such as a slightly higher risk of developing melanoma, but the dermatologist assured them that it is just a birthmark and there is no space for concerns.

What these mom and dad hope for is Natalie to love herself for who she is.

“We know she’ll face some challenges, but her mark indicates she’ll be resilient no matter what life throws at her.”

The old woman’s family had gone home crying – they knew she didn’t have much time left

Some people possess the ability to touch our soul so deeply that they leave a mark we are never able to erase or forget.

A nurse at the Life Care Center in Kansas City, Isabelle Jennings, is one of those people. Having been part of a nursing home, this incredible woman has always made sure the residents receive way more than just medical care. Isabelle, just like the rest of the staff, does all in her power to always make the day of the people she takes care of.

Although she treats everyone equally, there was one particular patient, Mary Helen Schmelze, with whom Isabelle bonded over the mutual love for singing. Each and every day, Isabelle would sing to Mary Helen, while listened with admiration.

During the last couple of months, Mary Helen’s health deteriorated as she suffered from congestive heart failure. Being on the verge of death, she could forget of her condition when Isabelle treated her with her songs.

When Isabelle got a call one day about Mary Helen’s health situation, which wasn’t the brightest, she rushed to the center and sang a hymn to her one last time.

Mary Helen’s granddaughter, Julie, witnessed the touching moment and recorded it.

Unfortunately, the elderly woman passed away mere days after the video was shot.

Speaking of her patient, who grew close to her heart over time, Isabelle told Today, “I adored Helen and I counted her as a friend and I knew that would be the last time I saw her.”

After Mary Helen’s passing, Julie asked Isabelle for a permission to post the video of her singing the hymn In The Garden to her grandmother online. Isabelle said yes, because she knew it could help other carers to treat their patients the same way, as though they are family.

Girl with Down Syndrome is mocked for eating 1st birthday cake, her dad can’t ignore the mean comments

Every human being is special in their own right, and being different is what makes us unique. Sadly, not many people see beauty in those who do not fit the standards of what societies consider to be ‘normal.’

People who are born with an extra chromosome are known for radiating joy. Having Down Syndrome doesn’t prevent them from attending school, finding a job, getting married, and do everything other people do. The truth is, however, that not many people are able to understand this and they still see those with this syndrome as someone with a disability.

Scott Gavin, a father of six, has a beautiful daughter with Down Syndrome named Megan. This cutie pie brings immeasurable joy to her parents and siblings each and every day.

On the day of her first birthday, Megan was thrown a spectacular party with plenty of balloons and a cake. Gavin was eager to show his family and friends just how happy his girl was so he shared photos of the joyous occasion on the social media.

As he was looking forward to the best wishes, his heart broke down into a million pieces when he noticed a number of mean comments. There were people who called Megan names and mocked her for having Down Syndrome.

“My shock went straight to anger. Obviously, I wanted to go and find these people,” the father explained. But he then thought carefully about it and realized that he needed to turn his aggression into an opportunity for positivity. “So I’ve turned it into a positive thing and decided from now on I’m going to educate the uneducated.”

Instead of getting angry, he shared even more photos of Megan because he wanted to spread the message that people with Down Syndrome have lives as fulfilling as those of the rest of the people.

Messages of love and support came pouring in. “Beautiful people. I have a child of my own who has [Down Syndrome]. She has been a blessing and an inspiration. My pot of gold at the end of the rainbow,” one person wrote. “I am truly sorry that there are people in the world that are so cruel, and [I’m] so glad she has a wonderful father like you,” someone else added.

Gavin is a kind of person who wants to see everyone happy. When he won some money on a TV show, he invested it in creating a zoo with exotic animals. His company, Party Central Entertainments, uses the animals to connect with special needs people, lonely elderly citizens, and those jailed in prison. His girl also loves them and enjoys spending time with the beautiful creatures.

“I will never forget the moment an autistic boy broke his five-year silence when communicating with me about one of the skunks — his mum was so happy,” Gavin said.

This story truly serves as an inspiration that we should always embrace the differences with arms wide open.

Stranger asks mother to Take her ‘shrieking’ son out of restaurant until he quiets down

That parents face plenty of hardships on their parenthood journey is a fact. Raising a child is not an easy task, yet many people sign up for the role of a parent.

Moms and dads do their best to teach their kids good behavior and how to act in public. But the harsh reality is that besides all the time and effort they put in the long and tiring talks, children will sometimes still do things their way, especially when they are young and don’t take their parents’ words seriously.

A situation described by a Reddit user had people’s opinions divided, while some stood by her side, others called her inconsiderate after she asked a mother to either calm her child down at a restaurant or simply take him outside until he stops shrieking.

The user explained how she and her boyfriend visited a nicer than a usual, run-of-the-mill restaurant and were trying to have dinner when the child started crying and shrieking.

“While me and my boyfriend were enjoying our meal, the youngest child began SHRIEKING, for a reason that I can’t fathom,” the woman explained in her Reddit post. “When I say shrieking I’m talking about the ear piercing type that is physically painful.”

Since she expected to have a nice evening, she simply couldn’t listen to the uncontrollable high pitch sound and decided to do something about it.

“I walked over to the family’s table, and asked if someone could take the child outside until it calms down, since people are trying to enjoy their food.”

The child’s mother wasn’t happy about the woman’s reaction and told her to show more compassion.

“I responded by telling her that I’ve paid to enjoy my meal, and that if she isn’t going to get her child to be quiet, then she needs to do everyone in the restaurant a favor and take the child outside,” the Redditor wrote.

Eventually, the family left but not before giving the woman an evil look.

Later, she told her friends of what had happened and asked them whether she was right to ask from the mother to take her child outside. Her friends had divided opinions. One of them told her that she should have tried being “kinder and more considerate to the family, since being a parent is difficult.”

Source: istockphoto.com/A&J photos – For Illustration Purposes Only (With Models)

Most of the Reddit users, however, supported the woman and wrote that she had all the right to ask from the mother to quiet down her screaming child.

“While being a parent IS difficult, there are still courtesies that need to be followed. Those courtesies include removing a child from a public place if they are not behaving, crying or screaming,” someone commented.

“Parents with shrieking children do not get to keep eating while their children shriek. They take turns eating and take the shrieking child outside until they calm down. It is unspeakably rude to allow your child to make a disturbance in a restaurant and to make no attempt to remove them to a location where they are not disturbing others,” another person added.

Woman was ‘dead’ for 27 minutes, but as soon as she woke up she scribbled a spine-chilling message…

A woman named Tina suffered a heart attack while hiking with her husband od 30 years, Brian. Her situation was severe and Brian was the first one to perform CPR on her when he noticed she wasn’t breathing. Luckily, he managed to bring her back, but from the moment the ambulance arrived until she was finally transported to the hospital, Tina almost died multiple times. He begged God to save her and return her to him. When doctors told him she finally regained her consciousness, he knew his wish was granted.

Atheist asks God ‘Why are humans so dark and doomed?’ – The answer he received amazed him

Near death experiences can be both a curse and a blessing. Those who have ever experienced such a unique occurence have a lot to say about the world they saw on the other side.

Whether one believes in the existence of life after death and the concepts of heaven and hell or not, what people who have died and then returned witnessed is chilling, to say the least.

The story of a man named Mellen Thomas Benedict is one of the most studied near death experiences in the world. What he went through has been researched thoroughly, and scientist still face mysteries they cannot find the answers to.

It was in 1982 when Mellen Thomas died of terminal brain cancer and survived to tell the unbelievable story of the things he saw in the afterlife. To everyone’s disbelief and surprise, this man was dead for nearly an hour and a half before he woke up again.

In his book Life after Death, Depak Chopra has dubbed Mellen “the encyclopedia of the afterlife.”

Mellen spoke of his afterlife experience and said: “Before my near-death experience, I tried all sorts of alternative healing methods. None helped. So I determined that this was between me and God. I had never really considered God. Neither was I into any kind of spirituality. But my approaching death sent me on a quest for more information about spirituality and alternative healing. I read various religions and philosophies. They gave hope that there was something on the other side.

“I woke up about 4:30 am and I knew that this was it. I was going to die. I called a few friends and said good-bye. I woke up Anne and made her promise that my dead body would remain undisturbed for six hours, since I had read that all kinds of interesting things happen when you die. I went back to sleep. The next thing I remember, I was fully aware and standing up. Yet my body was lying in the bed. I seemed to be surrounded by darkness, yet I could see every room in the house, and the roof, and even under the house.”

Being an atheist his entire life, Mellen recalled asking God about the religions, and which one was the right one.

“I asked God: ‘What is the best religion on the planet? Which one is right?’ And Godhead said, with great love: ‘I don’t care.’ That was incredible grace.”

He then asked about humans and was eager to learn why they are doomed. The answer he received, according to him, was a shocking one.

Mom secretly records babysitter’s voice while she thinks she’s alone with little girl

No matter how much time they want to spend around their children, most parents need to work and provide for their families and that means being away from home for a good part of the day. This is when babysitters step in. Having them in their children’s lives can be a lifesaver.

Of course, it is important that the person the parents trust their child to is a responsible individual who’d take great care of the little one.

A mother named Nicky Maher from Somerset, Massachusetts, decided to secretly film her daughter’s babysitter and now the video is going viral for all the good reasons.

Source: TikTok

18-year-old Delaney Wilson, who takes care of Maher’s child while she’s at work, is a talented young lady with an enchanting voice. The thing is that she’s too shy to let the world learn of her vocal abilities as she doesn’t believe she sounds that good.

One day, as Maher entered the place and heard the captivating melody of Disney’s song Part of your World from The Little Mermaid, she just knew she needed to put that beautiful moment on tape.

At the start of the recording, Maher could be heard whispering, “this is our babysitter.” As Maher quietly enters the room, Wilson, who is not aware she’s being filmed, lets her voice loose. Her singing becomes more powerful and more profound and Maher can’t hold back her emotions.

Source: TikTok

Speaking to Fox News, Maher explained that she had already been aware of the babysitter’s voice before she filmed her. “I was like, I want her to hear herself when she knows nobody’s watching. I was blown away to tears, cried the first time I heard her sing. So, I said Delaney, you have such an insane gift.” Maher wanted to know why Wilson didn’t sing as often and in front of other people. “That’s when she said to me, ‘I just overthink it and I never feel like I sound good enough and I just don’t always feel confident in the way I look,’” Maher explained. “And it just broke my heart.”

Maher asked Wilson if she had a permission to post the video on TikTok, and Wilson agreed. In no time, it vent viral and gathered the attention of a huge number of people.

“It’s not that she didn’t know she had a talent that so many people have already told her she had,” Maher said. “It’s that she didn’t hear it without knowing she was trying or that someone was watching. So that’s why the video was so beautiful.”

It is so beautiful when you are the reason for someone’s talent to shine.

“I just can’t afford” – Robin Williams lost millions of dollars in the final years of his life

A genuinely loving person with a heart of gold, late Robin Williams, the iconic actor and comedian, left this world way too early, but he left incredible legacy behind.

Williams was born in 1951 in Chicago. As a child, few could have guessed that he would embark on a career that would make him one of the greatest actors there are. When he graduated from high school, he was voted by his classmate “Most Likely Not to Succeed,” but also the “Funniest” one.

One thing Williams was always very aware of was that he wanted to pursue a career as an actor, so he dropped from the Claremont Men’s College in California where he studied political science and enrolled at a community college where he studied theater for three years. This helped him get a full scholarship to the Juilliard School in New York and it didn’t take long before everyone there realized that Williams was something special.

”I first knew he was more talented than the other kids when he played Fagin in ‘Oliver!’ We were having light board issues and by midnight had only made it through half the musical. At one point he started talking to a baton he was carrying, and the baton talked back. It cut the tension and he had people laughing in hysterics. I remember calling my wife at 2 a.m. and telling her that this young man was going to be something special,” one of the drama professors, James Dunn, told The Marin Independent Journal in 2014.

Despite his immense talent, he didn’t get an acting job after graduating from the prestigious school. It was during the mid 70’s when he returned to San Francisco that he first tried himself as a stand-up comedian, something that fascinated him at the time.

Williams had his big breakthrough with the sitcom Mork & Mindy, a spin-off of Happy Days, where Williams had a very successful guest role in an episode.

Mork & Mindy was a huge success from the start and it was Williams’ incredible acting and his ability to change his voice and attitude smoothly that played a huge part in that.

Williams was reported to had earned $6,000-a-week at the beginning, but ended being paid $75,000-a-week when the series’ popularity reached its peak.

What followed were some iconic movies which are still popular until this very day such as Good Morning Vietnam and Dead Poets Society, which helped him find his place under the Hollywood sky, AladdinMrs. DoubtfireHookJumanji, and Good Will Hunting, among the many.

Aladdin grossed $500 million worldwide box office, and Disney used Williams’ voice in order to do merchandising, something the actor specifically stated he didn’t want them to do. As a result, he didn’t work with Disney for many years.

“Not only did they use my voice, they took a character I did and overdubbed it to sell stuff. That was the one thing I said: ‘I don’t do that.’ That was the one thing where they crossed the line,” the actor explained on the Today Show.

Williams’ movies grossed about $5.1 billion worldwide. He, however, experienced financial issues towards the end of his life mostly due to the two pricey divorces he went through. Reports were that the late actor was forced to pay both his exes around $30 million in total.

Asked whether he had lost all his money in divorces, Williams told Parade in 2014: ”Well, not all. Lost enough. Divorce is expensive. I used to joke they were going to call it “all the money,” but they changed it to “alimony.” It’s ripping your heart out through your wallet. Are things good with my exes? Yes. But do I need that lifestyle? No.”

When he accepted the job with The Crazy Ones, he said he needed a steady job because there were bills to pay. He was also forced to sell his “Villa of Smiles” ranch in Napa for $18 million in 2016 after he failed to get the amount of $35 million that he was hoping for.

At the time of his death in 2014, it was reported that he had a net worth of $50 million.

Robin Williams was one of a kind and probably one of the greatest comedians who have ever walked this Earth. His three children, Zachary, Zelda and Cody, never miss a chance to pay tribute to their much-adored father.

Amber Heard opens up about being poor and jobless

In a high-profile defamation case closely followed by the media and the wide public that exposed details of her tumultuous marriage, the Aquaman star, Amber Heard, was initially ordered by a Virginia court to pay her ex-husband Johnny Depp $5 million in punitive damages and $10 million in compensatory damages.

Depp sued Heard on the grounds that she damaged his career after she referred to herself as “a public figure symbolizing domestic abuse” in an op-ed she penned for The Washington Post in December 2018. Although she never mentioned his name, his lawyers claimed the article implied she was speaking about him.

During the trial, the ex-spouses both witnessed that the other one was the abuser and some of the details that emerged in the media left many in shock.

According to reports, Heard’s attorneys plan to challenge the result as well as any decisions made by the judge following the verdict, such as declining Heard’s motion to vacate the judgment, dismiss the case, or order a new trial.

“We think the court erred, preventing a just and fair judgment in accordance with the first amendment. As a result, we are appealing the decision,” a Heard representative said in a statement. “While we are aware that today’s filing will set Twitter ablaze, there are steps we must follow to ensure justice and fairness.”

On the other hand, the statement released by Depp’s representatives said that the jury “listened to the considerable evidence given during the six-week trial and came to a clear and unanimous decision that the defendant herself defamed Mr. Depp in several instances.” It added: “We continue to believe that our case will be upheld, and this judgment.”

Heard claimed that all the backlash and all the negative comments about her on social media led her to miss on many job opportunities. No one can say that studious won’t hire her because of the court case, they just don’t want someone who has bad press around them.

The position she has found herself in may force Heard to file for bankruptcy as her career seems to be ruined at this point in her life.

Heard appears to be making sacrifices in order to be able to pay the $8.4 million in damages she owes her ex-husband.

Just recently, she was spotted shopping at the retail TJ Maxx.

To learn how exactly did she reach this point, go to the video below.

Will Smith breaks his three-month silence: ‘I’m sorry really isn’t sufficient’

Among the rest, this year’s Oscars may be best remembered by the unscripted moment actor Will Smith strode onto the stage and slapped comedian Chris Rock who made a joke about Smith’s wife’s bald head. Moments later, as everyone around the world was left in shock and disbelief, Smith won his first ever Oscar for best actor. During his acceptance speech, he apologized the Academy for what he did.

Months after the incident, Will Smith has finally addressed the Oscar slap in a video he posted on Instagram on Friday, July 29.

The video started with the words “It’s been a minute…”

“Over the last few months, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and personal work…” the statement went on. “You asked a lot of fair questions that I wanted to take some time to answer.”

Next, Smith sighed and then offered his thoughts about the altercation that made headlines worldwide. He explained why he didn’t offer Rock an apology the moment he was asked on the stage of Dolby Theatre to get his award.

“I was fogged out by that point,” Smith says. “It’s all fuzzy. I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk and when he is, he will reach out. So I will say to you Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable and I’m here whenever you are ready to talk.”

He added that at that moment, he didn’t think about how many people his actions would hurt. “When talking about, that was one of those things about that moment, I didn’t realize, I wasn’t thinking about how many people got hurt in that moment.”

Smith went on to apologize to Rock’s family, including his mother, family, and his brother, Tony Rock, who starred in the 2007 sitcom “All of Us” created by the Smiths.

“We had a great relationship,” Smith said. “Tony Rock was my man and this is probably irreparable.”

It wasn’t just Chris Rock and his family that he hurt with his behavior on the night of the Oscars. Smith said he did the same to his own family, adding that he is sorry for the scrutiny he brought on them with his action. “Disappointing people is my central trauma. I hate when I let people down. So it hurts me psychologically and emotionally to know that I didn’t live up to people’s image and impression of me,” the actor said.

He concluded the video by saying he knows how “confusing” and “shocking” his actions were but he is “deeply devoted and committed to putting light and love and joy into the world. If you hang on, I promise we’ll be able to be friends again.”

The academy sanctioned Smith by banning him from attending the Oscars for the next 10 years.

59-year-old dying chimpanzee rejects food, but then she recognizes her old caretaker’s voice

Professor Jan van Hooff, an emeritus professor of behavioral biology at Utrecht University, has known Mama the chimpanzee since 1972. He was actually the one who co-founded the colony she was a matriarch to. It was the first colony raised in a zoo and was at the same time a subject of research on primate behavior that has been described in “Chimpanzee Politics” by Frans de Waal, who studied the colony since 1974.

But now, at the age of 59, Mama was about to leave this world and she refused the food and the water the people from the zoo offered to her. It seemed like she could sense the end was near. The employees of the Royal Zoo in Arnhem, the Netherlands, where Mama was located, made a call that changed the last week of the chimps’ life. They contacted her caretaker, professor Van Hooff who didn’t hesitate to come and say one last goodbye to his long time friend. The encounter turned out to be one of the sweetest and most heart-warming interactions between a human and an animal.

When Mr. Van Hooff arrived at the zoo he saw Mama laying curled up in a ball unable to lift her head. At first she wasn’t aware of the professor’s presence, but once she recognized his voice she regained her strength for a short time and the result of the meeting is something unbelievably moving.

Mama passed away one week after she got to say goodbye to her friend, but before she met her end she taught us a valuable lesson about love and emotions. If you ever doubted animals’ ability to feel sadness, affection, and devotion this touching moment caught on this video will put those doubts to rest.

After his wife’s death, man finds a letter that reveals a secret which changed everything

Marriages are supposed to be based on mutual understanding, trust, and respect. Sadly, not every union works this way. Many couples have a hard time getting along and untie the knot as a result. Sometimes, it happens that we spend a lifetime with someone before they reveal their true face.

A man named Tony Trapani, 81, mourned the death of his wife of more than 50 years. He was devastated and couldn’t imagine his life without her by his side. But then, he faced the naked truth that his late wife wasn’t the woman he thought she was after he learned she was hiding a huge secret her entire life.

One day, as he was going through her staff, he stumbled upon a letter hidden deep in a cupboard. He got curious and took the letter in his hands. It was addressed to him, but this was the first time he’s even seen it.

Once he opened it, he realized it was written to him around 56 years ago, by a woman he meet in his 20s, Shirley.

She started the letter writing that she missed him dearly. But then, what he read next left him in a complete shock. Shirley wrote that she got pregnant and gave birth to Tony’s son, Samuel. She felt the urge to tell him the truth, but the letter never found the way to Tony, not until his wife passed away.

He couldn’t believe that his wife could have hidden something like that from him. Speaking to Fox 17, he revealed that they never had children and she was probably afraid that he would leave her for Shirley and their son. “I have no idea why my wife didn’t tell me about it. She wanted children, but she couldn’t have them, we kept trying. He’s my son, I’ve had him my whole life but I didn’t know. It is beyond me why she hid the letter,” he said.

Thankfully, it didn’t take long before Tony was able to find his son on Facebook. The two got in touch and arranged to meet. The first encounter between these father and son was a touching one. All those years, Samuel believed that his father didn’t want to have anything with him. We are so glad that both him and Tony learned the truth.

A’ja Wilson’s emotional reaction to Brittney Griner’s shocking detention photos

Earlier in February, Brittney Griner, the brightest WNBA star, was detained in Russia the moment she stepped foot on Russian soil as custom officials discovered she was carrying vape cartridges in her luggage containing hashish oil. She’s now facing a prison sentence of up to 10 years for breaking the law.

Griner’s court case had been delayed multiple times because of various reasons, and she eventually pleaded guilty but claimed she was unaware the vapes were in her bag, she simply left them there by mistake. “I’d like to plead guilty, Your Honor,” she was reported to have said. “But there was no intent. I didn’t want to break the law.”

The case has attracted huge media attention especially because of the ongoing war conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which also compromised the relations between Russia and The States.

US officials have spoken of Griner’s case and said they’ll do all in their power her return to America to take place as soon as possible.

It has been reported that Griner wrote to President Biden pleading him not to forget her and the other detainees. “I’m terrified I might be here forever,” she wrote.

As support and prayers for Griner’s release come from all parts of the country, her teammate A’ja Wilson broke down in tears following a game against LA Sparks over photos of Griner which obviously show she’s in a vulnerable position.

“I hated it,” said Wilson in the post-game interview. “It just made my stomach turn,” she added.

“Many U.S. officials have been in contact with her, and express that she is in a good shape, but her trial extension tells otherwise.

“She is our sister, we can’t imagine what she is going through. I pray every day for her to get back home,” Wilson stated.

As prisoner exchange isn’t something new for America and Russia, the Russian news agency TASS predicted that the two countries could reach a similar deal and exchange Griner for Russian Arms dealer Victor Bout, who is serving a 25-year prison sentence in the U.S. for agreeing to sell arms to a Colombian terrorist group. But we are yet to see whether this would happen.

We hope Brittney Griner would return home as soon as possible.

Guy wants to give part of lottery winnings to his ex that raises their kids, his girlfriend goes livid

Going through a divorce can be a truly painful experience, especially when children are involved. In such cases, most ex-couples try to get on well with one another for the sake of their kids, but that’s not always the case.

Just recently, a Reddit user asked if he was right that he wanted to share part of his lottery winnings with his ex-wife who is also a mother of their two children. His girlfriend, however, is furious at the idea of sharing the money. He wants to see what others think. Take a look at the entire post below.

“I recently won a huge amount of money. I won’t say exactly how much but it’s in the millions. It makes me feel funny even typing it enough to change the life of myself and my family.

“My ex wife is the mother of my 2 kids. She is an amazing woman and good to the bone. We divorced 6 years ago because I had an affair with my current partner. I was in a low place in my life and I screwed up. She was in incredible pain but – like a saint she allowed me to still see our kids who mean the world to me, allowed our divorce to be as pain free as possible despite the fact that I know she was hurting. She still is close with my parents. She is respectful to me although she refuses to talk to my gf.

“She was actually the first person I phoned after my mom and pops after I found out I won the lottery. She was pleased with me, joked that I could take the kids on a world round trip, and that was that. Nothing else. As soon as I won, I knew I wanted to give her a significant amount. I still love her. She’s the mother of my babies and I feel like this is some small tiny way I can show her that I’m not a complete idiot. She deserves to know that I care despite my mistakes. She also works a sh***y job in the public library which pays her peanuts- she would actually be able to pursue her hobbies this way. Give our kids a better life between us. I haven’t discussed this with my ex yet, but I have with my parents who strongly agree and my lawyer who was very surprised but on board.

“Long story short, when I told my gf, she was my livid. Screaming that I’m disrespecting her, accusing me of still being in love with my ex wife- I’m not in love with her. We’ve both grown apart, but of course I still love her for being an excellent co parenting partner and mother to my kids. My gf is threatening to break up with me, and to be honest I’m feeling incredibly relieved over the threats. I don’t plan on changing my plans. Am I making the right decision?

Paul Teutul Sr. from ‘American Chopper’ declared bankruptcy and sold his house – This is what he is up to today

Reality shows have become extremely popular in recent years. They attract so many viewers that those featured in them turn into celebrities almost over night.

Those passionate about motorcycles have likely seen Discovery’s reality television show American Chopper which first aired back in 2003 and was on air for around a decade. The stars of the show, Paul Teutul Sr. and his sons Paul “Paulie” Teutul Jr. and Michael Teutul, have made names for themselves, but it wasn’t all thanks to the reality show. In fact, they had been very famous even before that with their custom motorcycle fabrication company Orange County Choppers located in Montgomery, New York.

Paul Teutul Sr. was born on May 1, 1949, in Yonkers, New York. His mother was a heavy drinker, and his father a “workaholic.” In his book Orange County Choppers: The Tale of the Teutuls, Paul revealed that his childhood hadn’t been an easy one. His parents often beat him and that strict upbringing forced him into drinking, just like his mother.

One thing that Paul has always been fascinated with were motorcycles. What he didn’t know, however, was that his passion would turn him into a celebrity loved worldwide.

When he turned 18, Paul Teutul Sr. joined the Merchant Marines. Speaking of that experience, he told CNBC, “[The boot camp] was like three months of it, not, six weeks. So it was pretty difficult, you know, being 18 years old and being away from home. It was hard for me, you know, to be able to be away and to be able to stick with that and stay there.

“I think what I did was I challenged myself… I really wasn’t much of a runner and I really didn’t like running. And where I was there was a dock way down the other end of where I was, and I said to myself if I could run all the way down, and all the way back, then I could make this. And I think.. that’s what inspired me to follow through with it.”

After a stint with the Merchant Marines, Paul returned to his normal life and in 1969, he married wife Paula, with whom he stayed married for 26 years. It was just a year later after tying the knot, that this man started building his empire. It all started by constructing bikes from the ground and up.

“Most of the time I would take a bike and I would customize it,” he said. “I built a bike, and I took it out, and people were just all over the bike. I knew I had something at that point.”

During the mid 80’s, Paul’s wife took her children and left him because of his problems with alcohol abuse. His eldest son, Paulie, then turned to his father and the two started building and customizing choppers together.

Instagram/paulteutulsr

All of a sudden, many got interested in his work, especially his impressive chopper modifications. As the word of Paul’s work spread around, Motorcycle magazines was interested to feature him and his choppers. This was a turning point for Paul because soon after, Discovery Channel gave him a call and offered him a show. However, as with most of the shows of this type, American Chopper wanted to focus on the relationship between Paul and his son Pauley as much as they were interested to show the world how skillful this man is.

“I called [producer Craig Piligian] early the next morning, before the overnight ratings came out,” Paul Teutul Sr. recalled of his disappointment of the concept of the show program. “I cleaned his clock on the phone. ‘You’ve ruined my life,’ I screamed, ‘and my career. I didn’t expect this.’”

The producers, however, believed in the concept they created and asked from Paul to at least wait for the ratings, which were quite impressive.

A flood of congratulations and messages reached Paul’s email in the morning, and the 1.2 percent viewer market share was terrific for a 10 P.M. Monday time at which American Chopper aired. The viewers obviously loved the drama between the father and his son.

The show turned out to be huge success. The intense relationship between the father and the son, however, was never faked for the sake of attracting more audience. The two really didn’t get along at times and that resulted with Pauley leaving his dad and starting a competing shop named Paul Jr. Designs.

Not long after American Chopper was canceled, its spin-off, Senior vs. Junior, aired.

“This road that we’re on is only going to lead to one place. All this passion and pride brought us together. And drove us apart,” they said in the show’s intro. “It only makes sense that this ends where it started. With the build.”

In 2018, American Chopper got a reboot, but it never reached the same success as the original show.

Jason Kempin/FilmMagic

That same year, Page Six reported that Paul filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy as he owed $1 million and only had $1.8 million. Paul himself claimed that he was making around $15,000 a month but was spending $12,600 to keep up with his lifestyle. Later, he reported that his expenses exceeded his income at around $20,000 a month and owed $150,000 to the town of Crawford, New York, for taxes.

A year before, he was sued by former business partner for fraud. According to Page Six, he “failed to provide [her] with a copy of a federal income tax return or transcript for the most recent years, to 1it, 2017 and 2018.”

Today, he has a net worth of around $500,000 and it looks like he managed to get on his feet thanks to his motorcycle-themed restaurant and a museum in Clearwater, Florida.

In recent years, Paul has been heavily involved with the Make a Wish Foundation through his OCC Foundation.

“We support the Make a Wish Foundation – it’s terminally ill kids, and basically, they get a last wish, and we were number one as far as their wish which is. Which I think is pretty impressive,” Paul Teutul Sr. told CNBC. “You know, to come here and see … bike guys. When I talk about making a difference in people’s lives, pretty much that’s what I refer to. Because I think when these kids come here, it breaks your heart.

“But the thing of it is they’re here because they want to be with you, they want a part of you,” he added. “It’s their dream. So, to me it’s an honor, to be able to do that, and I think I get more out of it than they do.”

Paul Teutul Sr. is active on the social media and shares plenty of photos of himself and his girlfriend, Joan Bulger Kay.

Thug shot cop 4 times, officer shows up at court with a “little gift”

Kevin Rojas, a 19-year-old man from Florida, turned extremely violent when an off-duty officer, who was driving his son to school, saw Rojas driving erratically and decided to make traffic stop. At that moment, the teenager pulled out his gun and without giving it a second thought, he fired four shots at the unnamed officer, shooting him in the face, the stomach, and his hand. The officer’s son was unharmed.

Although he was seriously wounded, the officer still managed to fire a shot at Rojas, who at that moment, stole a truck, drove home, and barricaded himself inside the house. When officers arrived at the scene, they asked from Rojas to surrender the firearms. As he refused to do so, officers shot him through a glass door and hit him in the torso, the leg, and the hand, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Once at the court, Rojas was found guilty of all charges, attempted first-degree murder, attempted manslaughter, two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, grand theft auto, and fleeing. He was given a life in prison.

The judge said he had a hard time understanding how Rojas could shot the officers with such ease. “I’m pretty sure Mr. Rojas doesn’t understand what the rest of his life means,” the judge said as he delivered the verdict.

There, at the courtroom, was the officer whom Rojas tried to kill and he was there with a little gift for the culprit. “I will take those bullets instead of a fellow officer or innocent bystander,” the officer said. “If there was a coward on that day, it was Kevin Rojas,” he told the court before addressing Rojas directly. “When I brought the fight back, you ran like a coward.”

The officer then handed Royas the gift he had for him. “So, I got a little gift for you,” he said while placing a bottle of KY Jelly lubricant on the witness stand. “You’re going to need a lot of this where you’re going little man.”

What the officer did had people’s opinions divided. There were those who praised the officers “gift,” and those who didn’t approve of his behavior at the courtroom.

“Too bad the cop [didn’t] take out his weapon in the courtroom and kill that piece of s**t right there save taxpayers a lot of money,” someone wrote on Facebook, while another person added, “I shouldn’t laugh, but that is priceless. It’s good the creep didn’t kill anyone and that the teenage son wasn’t injured.”

“Good for that cop, a very appropriate going away present for the thug. Awesome,” someone wrote. “I don’t blame the cop. This clown wrecked his life for nothing. The judge did the right thing. This nut cannot be loose. When he is 60, if he lives that long, he may be better. If they can let him out then, maybe. I would not lose much sleep over it for now,” someone else added.

Some of the users who saw the video on YouTube commented that the officer shouldn’t have done what he did and brought his professionalism into question.

“A real professional that officer. You may be frustrated however you have no integrity nor honor in your use of a gimmick, stupid one at best, during your speech at the sentencing of this thug. Hope the department sees what you really are,” someone wrote.

What do you think of this? Did the officer go too far with his action or he just taught the thug a lesson.
