Doctors diagnose teen with constipation, dies 24 hours later

Jack Dunn was 17 years old, a teenager and he was having terrible stomach pains, he even struggled to walk properly with the pain he was in. His parents were quite rightly concerned and took him to a hospital for doctors to assess him.

The doctors gave their opinion to the boy and his parents, they said he had really bad constipation. They gave him a laxative but by the lack of a few more simple and inexpensive tests, they didn’t realize his condition was far more grave!

His father found Kieron, from Wales in the UK, in his bed just 24 hours after he had been released from the hospital, he was dead…

Source: Wales News Service

Hi parents say that the doctors were not really concerned about his really bad stomach pains at all, they scanned his stomach to check is was not appendicitis then they just moved on.

Jack’s father said:

“We took him to A&E and completely trusted the doctors in telling us what was wrong with him. He could barely walk he was in so much pain. He was given a bladder scan but it didn’t really show anything up. The doctor said he was baffled and believed Jack was suffering from nothing more than a bad bout of constipation”

Source: Wales News Service

Sadly though, the doctors were not able to find Jack’s medical condition at the time, its really sad to think a small, fast, and inexpensive test could have saved his life.

Jack had a condition known as diabetic ketoacidosis, it slowly turns the blood acidic, damages organs severely producing excessive ketones in the blood.

It turns out that Jack had diabetic ketoacidosis.

It all happens as a result of the body not producing enough insulin from the pancreas…

Source: Wales News Service

Kieron said:

“When Jack was finding it difficult to breathe the doctor thought it was probably anxiety because Jack was anxious about being in the hospital …But him struggling to breathe was because his organs were closing down because of the ketoacidosis.”

“Finding my son dead in his bed was the worst moment of my life. I believe Jack would be alive today if a few more simple tests had been carried out.”

Jack’s family are really emotional knowing that it could have easily been prevented if the doctors gave him a very simple glucose test, it would have taken less than two minutes to do the test with a straightforward prick of the finger and a small drop of blood!

Source: Wales News Service

“Jack’s white blood cell count was up so that was an indicator something was going on in his body that wasn’t right. If they had tested him for ketones he would probably be alive today.”

If ketoacidosis is suspected, it’s easy to test for ketones in the blood with a finger prick test, its also easy to treat with insulin, if caught in time it is very manageable.

Ketoacidosis also presents symptoms of fatigue, states of confusion, unusual and great thirst, rapid breathing, and the need to urinate much more frequently, keep these in mind, maybe one day you can help someone knowing this!

Jack’s parents really want to use their story and the tragedy to educate people that could end up in similar circumstances, so that this easily treatable condition doesn’t take any more lives, especially of children or young teens, which is usually when it tends to happen most of the time.

Please SHARE this story with everyone you know and let’s raise awareness and possibly even save lives!

Woman demands a mother and daughter speak English, gets completely ridiculed

Nowadays, although everyone leads a very busy life and follows tight schedules, many people still find the time to stick their noses in someone else’s business.

Just recently, a woman was caught on tape arguing with a mother and a daughter she stumbled upon in a store because they weren’t speaking English but another language.

People who have seen the video can’t help but wonder why would someone even mind what language people are using in order to communicate between each other.

America is a free country in which people are entitled to the freedom of speech and are allowed to express their opinions on whatever language they feel most comfortable using.

The incident took place at Walmart in Appleton, Wisconsin. As the mother and the daughter were engaged into a conversation, this random and quite rude woman appeared in front of them out of the blue and started yelling at them. She could be heard saying, “speak the language,” referring to English.

The daughter, Jasmine, who later posted the video of the incident on her Facebook page, and her mom were not harming anyone. They could speak English because they both know the language but opted to use their native language, Hmong, because the mother was more comfortable speaking it.

After they told the woman that they were allowed to speak whatever language they wanted, she got even madder. She didn’t know what to reply so she said something that sounded very confusing. Her exact words were, “I guess it’s, like, because, it’s just kinda like, ok, you don’t know what, not that it’s any of your business.”

Honestly, with such poor language skills, she isn’t really eligible to tell others how to speak.

Jasmine tried being reasonable and told the woman that according to her logic, she should be speaking Hmong if she ever visits her native land to what the woman replied how she took some Spanish classes before she went to Mexico once. Trying to defend her point, she even counted to 10 in Spanish.

Both Jasmine and her mother felt humiliated and required the woman stop making racist comments. She replied that asking them to speak English wasn’t racist at all after she simply walked away.

The video of the unpleasant encounter got more than a million views and people said how Jasmine and her mother did the right thing by not getting into conflict with the woman who attacked them verbally. They were calm and polite, which couldn’t be said for that woman.

We are glad the video was shared on the social media because it’s one of the ways through which we can raise awareness of the negative effect racism has on people.

“God Doesn’t Make Mistakes”: Rory Feek’s Emotional Tribute to His Daughter With Down Syndrome

Joey and Rory were a beloved country music duo up until 2016, when Joey lost her battle to cervical cancer and said the last goodbye to her husband and their two-year-old daughter Indiana.

Ever since the loss of the person he loved the most, Rory spent his days taking care of Indy. No matter how much it hurt, he always knew he had to remain strong for his little girl. Sweet Indy is 6 today, and her father says she’s the best thing that has ever happened to him.

Despite the sadness and the grief that came with Joey’s passing, Rory never stopped inspiring his fans by sharing stories of his and Indy’s everyday life on his blog “This Life to Live.” People love how devoted, supportive, and loving Rory is. Raising a girl all by himself isn’t an easy task, but he believes Joey’s spirit is still there and guides him through the way.

Indiana was born a few months before her mom’s diagnosis and Rory and Joey didn’t know she had Down Syndrome until she was welcomed into the world. But that never bothered them even a bit. On the contrary, they knew Indy was a blessing and now Rory wants the whole world to know that by paying emotional tribute to his girl.

In one of his blogs he titled “Crib Notes” Rory speaks of Indy and says, “God doesn’t make mistakes.” He wants people to know that being a girl with Down Syndrome doesn’t make Indy less loved, or a mistake, as some people would say. No child can ever be a mistake, regardless of how they look. And Indy is a real beauty.

Rory goes on writing how his daughter’s life is as meaningful as that of any other child out there. She has her likes, dislikes, and dreams.

“…somewhere between 70 – 90% of pregnant mothers that get tested and learn that their unborn child has down-syndrome abort the baby.   I get it though.  The world has told us that they are less.  A mistake.  But I don’t believe they are.  At least I know Indiana’s not.  When she was born, Joey and I said, ‘this is the child God wants us to have’, and we believed it.  And we were right.  I can not imagine Joey not having those two years to be a mama to Indiana and get to experience the love and happiness that Indy brought to her,” Joey wrote.

Rory, we are very glad you shared your daughter’s story with us and brought a spotlight to these incredible kids.

Camera Footage Shows Stranger Saving Lifeless Child at Supermarket

Different people react differently in stressful situations. While some get easily frightened and start to panic, there are also those who stay calm and are able to pull themselves together. And it’s not about how brave they are, it’s simply in people’s nature to react one way or the other.

A video footage caught on the security camera of a supermarket shows how a man who found himself in a middle of a stressful situation managed to keep a cool head and save a child’s life.

The video shows a distressed mother carrying her lifeless daughter in her arms and running around in panic. She then hands her baby over to the stranger standing at the checkout. As everyone is shocked by what is going on, the mother gets out of the shop to get to her husband.

The father is as panicked as his wife and they anxiously wait for the ambulance to come, but the stranger who has the girl in his arms knows they are running out of time so he takes matters in his own hands and gives the child CPR. Thankfully, she starts breathing.

This stranger became the family’s hero. He saved the girl’s life and they can’t thank him enough for acting that fast.

Journalist Chris Cuomo Opens Up About the Bizarre Symptoms He Experienced While Battling COVID-19

The coronavirus pandemic seemed to slow the whole world down. The number of people affected grows with each passing day and no one can tell with certainty when this madness will be over, but one thing we know for sure is that this virus doesn’t discriminate. Young or old, rich or poor, famous or not, it can affect anyone.

Understandably, he felt scared at the beginning as he didn’t know how things will progress. Although the symptoms the virus causes are more or less the same at most of the people affected and include cough, fever, and shortness of breath, they manifest with different level of intensity at different individuals.

Cuomo was so worried after the diagnosis that he had troubles sleeping and spent the first days sitting in a pool of his own sweat.

But then, after he came to terms with the reality and spoke to a pulmonary expert, Cuomo became aware it was up to him to fight “the beast” off.

Further, he says how the expert told him things could get ugly unless he follows some of the advice which included activities that felt painful during those moments, such as getting up, holding his breath and then taking a deep one, and stretching his torso.

“You’ve got to do the things that will beat this virus. You’ve got to breath deep when it hurts—and it hurts,” Cuomo explains.

Some of the other things you can do and are crucial in the fight against this evil virus is drink a lot of water, take the Tylenol, and breath deep, especially when it hurts. These all worked for Cuomo, so we honestly hope his experience will help others end up winners themselves.

Please take a look at the video below and hear Cuomo’s experience of battling Covid-19 first hand. Share it with your friends, maybe it will reach someone who is fighting the same battle.

Cruel Babysitter Accused of Burning 6-Month-Old’s Feet for ‘Crying Too Much’

When a person agrees to become a babysitter and take care of other people’s children, they should be perfectly aware that little kids can be demanding. And yes, babies and toddlers sometimes cry for no apparent reason, so it’s the sitter’s job to find ways to calm them down and show compassion and tenderness.

The reality is that we have heard of so many stories of babysitters abusing and mistreating the children under their care that we should always be extra cautious when choosing whom we trust our greatest treasures to.

Unfortunately for one family, they chose the wrong person for the job, and it ended with their child suffering severe burns.

The nanny in question, Ismelda Ramos Mendoza, 36, was cooking tortillas while on the job, and the six-month-old baby girl she was supposed to keep safe started crying. This crazy woman then took the sweet baby and put her tiny feet onto the burning oil.

When the mom got home and spotted all those blisters on her daughter’s feet, she asked Mendoza for an explanation. Mendoza, however, pretended to be surprised and claimed how nothing happened that day.

The mother, of course, knew Mendoza was the one to blame as the girl was with her all day. Naturally, she wouldn’t let the cruel babysitter off the hook, so she contacted the police and told them how her little baby was hurt.

Doctors said the girl suffered second degree burns. They could assume they were from burning oil.

Since the horrific incident took place, Mendoza was charged with child abuse, and we hope justice will be served as soon as possible and she will pay for what she did.

Landlord Cancels Rent for Hundreds of Tenants so That They Can Afford Food Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

The greatness and the compassion one possesses is best seen during tough times. With the coronavirus pandemic that left whole countries on lockdown, many people lost their jobs and struggle to make ends meet. Many economies are on the verge of cracking and as much as governments are trying to make things right and keep them on the right path, it’s the ordinary citizens who are affected the most.

However, stories of empathy towards those that are left impoverished during these hard days are what give us hope that we will end up winners and overcome the struggles. One Brooklyn landlord is one of those people who is restoring our faith in humanity, by canceling a month’s rent for hundreds of tenants.

He wants people to use that money to provide enough food for themselves.

News outlets have reported how 59-year-old Mario Salerno, who owns around 80 apartments across the Williamsburg and Greenpoint areas, with more than 200 tenants living there, has decided to waive the rent for April.

Just imagine the faces of the tenants when they got out one day and saw the sign their landlord placed on the front doors of the apartment buildings saying they don’t have to pay the rent. Priceless, I guess.

Grandmother makes her grandchild hang over 50-foot balcony so she could rescue her cat

When we think of grandmas, images of lovely and caring ladies comes to our mind. These women are there to spoil their grandchildren rotten and make their days fun. But do all grannies share these same characteristics? Judging from this story, the answer is a big no.

If you ever thought your grandma was “mean” to you for making you eat veggies and doing chores around the house, wait until you see what one grandma did after her daughter left her kid under her care one day.

Both the grandma and the grandpa assured their daughter how her kid was safe with them and promised to keep a close eye on him, but they failed big.

The 7-year-old boy was happy to be with his grandparents, but he was most excited to be playing with their cat. He kissed him, and hugged him, but the cat seemed not to like that kind of attention so he decided to get away from the boy by leaping off the balcony.

In the next moment, the cat found himself trapped on a ledge one floor below his owner’s apartment. Realizing her cat was in danger, the grandmother got very furious with her grandson. The poor boy was very sorry and apologized many, many times, but the grandma would only accept it if he agreed to get down and save the animal. How, you may wonder. She constructed a device using a backpack and some long ropes.

The boy was very scared but was ready to agree to it all as long as it made his grandma happy. So he put the backpack on, tied the rope, and let his grandma lower him down to where the cat was.

The cat already escaped from the boy, and that’s how he find himself in such situation in the first place, so he didn’t want to get closer to the boy. But the grandma started shouting at the grandson, telling him to rescue her cat no matter what it takes.

Luckily, he was able to catch the feline, after which the grandma pulled him up to safety.

The shocking scene of the boy hanging over 50-feet balcony shocked the passersby. Some took their phones out and filmed the whole thing, watching in complete disbelief.

In no time, the video of the boy and the cat was shared on YouTube and people were very angry at the grandmother. They couldn’t believe how she could put her own daughter’s son in such danger.

We are positive the boy’s mother was devastated at how her mother treated her son. He could have easily fall down and die.

If you ever got mad at your mom for being strict to your kids, probably for their own good, now you know there are grandmas from hell out there and it makes you call your mom and thank her for taking care of your little ones the right way.

It was later reported how the grandma realized she did a very careless thing and was deeply sorry for making her grandson going through such ordeal.

You can take a look at the shocking video below.

Teen picked up by cop to stay warm after train delayed, soon realizes he’s driving out of town

With all of those bad news about intolerable cops, we get a different picture about police officers. However, we all know there are some exceptionally good policemen out there. Kelly J. McCormick is one of them.

The story is actually about Kori Malenfant. This woman was suffering from Chiari malformation, which in essence is a opening in the skull. The opening results with brain going through the spinal canal.

This malformation is treated with a surgery and Kori went to New York just for that. With her parents besides her, Kori managed to endure the surgery successfully.

On her was home, from New York to Portland, Maine, Kori and her parents got stuck at the train station. It was just 4 days since her surgery. They missed the train from Boston to Main since the train in New York was a bit late.

It was in the night, winter, and it was freezing. Kori’s parents decided to ask a nearby police officer for storing their bags, so they can find a warm place for themselves .

But, the policeman did something very kind instead.

She posted the story on her Facebook account and she explains:

“Because of the recent inclement weather and train cancellations, our Amtrak train trip back from the Presbyterian Hospital in New York was longer than expected, which caused us to arrive in Boston too late to get on the next train.”

She also adds:

“Unfortunately, this train wasn’t leaving the station for another 2 1/2 hours. The train station was very cold, with no place to leave our luggage, and no option for comfortable seating/support for my neck.”

The parents’ plan was to secure the bags, take a taxi and go to a warmer place.

Kori says:

“The officers quickly assured Mom that they would help us by contacting their captain to see what he could do. Shortly after, the Boston police captain came to us and asked us to follow him.”

Kori and her parents started talking to the Captain Kelly J. McCormick. Upon learfning their problem, he said:

“OK guys, follow me. We’re taking a little ride.”

Surprised and with no clue of what was going on, all three of them thought he was going to drive them to a warmer place. However, the captain started driving further north.

Regarding this, Kori recalls:

“Mom asked where we were going, and he laughed and said he was kidnapping us and that it was perfectly legal. We soon realized he was driving us all the way to Portland, back to our car.”

She also adds:

“He said there was no way he was going to allow me to sit in the cold so soon after surgery and that it was his pleasure to drive us.”

This amazed and shocked the family. The good-hearted man decided to take them to Portland and that meant a lot to them.

Upon long talks, the family learnt that the captain was one of the main commanders in charge during the Boston Marathon bombing.

Boston Police Superintendent-in-Chief William Gross wasn’t surprised by the officer’s kindness. He says:

“That’s not a one-time thing with Captain McCormick. He’s always giving. He’s a very free-spirited and giving individual. He has a great soul… The mayor’s allowed us to put captains in each of our 11 districts that do get it, that do go above and beyond.”

At the end of the day, Kori has only kind words for the captain. She says:

“He is a humble, inspiring, kind man.”

She adds:

“Thank you, Captain Kelley McCormick. May God richly bless and protect you as you have blessed and protected so many others.”

What a great man and such a good story. Share with friends and let them know all about the good-mannered police officer.

Three college graduates are strapped in an electric chair and their last words are hilarious

When you have best friends who love to drink and party as much as you do, no one really knows how the night out will end.

Three women decide to celebrate their college graduation in Mexico but they get so drunk that they wake up in jail. They are told they will be executed in the morning although none of them has any idea of what they did wrong.

When asked about their final words, this is what they had to say. I warn you, this is hilarious.

The first one, a redhead, is strapped in the electric chair and is asked if she has any last words. She says, “I just graduated from Trinity Bible College and believe in the almighty power of God to intervene on the behalf of the innocent.”

They throw the switch and nothing happens. The executioners all immediately fall to the floor on their knees, beg for forgiveness, and release her.

The second one, a brunette, is strapped in and gives her last words. “I just graduated from the Harvard School of Law and I believe in the power of justice to intervene on the part of the innocent.”

They throw the switch and again, nothing happens. Again they all immediately fall to their knees, beg for forgiveness and release her.

The last one, a blonde, is strapped in and says, “Well, I’m from the University of Texas and just graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and I’ll tell ya right now, ya’ll ain’t gonna electrocute nobody if you don’t plug this thing in.

6-Year-Old Nearly “Cut In Half” By Incorrectly Worn Seatbelt

Seatbelts serve the purpose of keeping you safe in case of an accident. They redistribute the force caused by a collision away from vital organs.

However, many times, using them incorrectly may cause even greater damage than not using them at all.

“When children are not properly restrained, meaning they are in a lap-only belt, they are in an ill-fitting lap/shoulder belt, or even if they moved the shoulder portion of the seat belt behind them or under their arm (whether in a booster seat or not) to keep it from rubbing their neck, they are at a greater risk of seat belt syndrome.”

Using the seatbelt incorrectly is so common that there is even a term known as a “seatbelt syndrome.” Unfortunately, this is the reason why children may get severely harmed or even killed.

Such was the case with 6-year-old Samantha Swartwout from Virginia. While she and her father were driving around, he hit a tree and poor Samantha was nearly cut in half.

Samantha had the seatbelt on, but she wasn’t sitting in a booster sit, so when the accident took place the seatbelt was drawn across her abdomen.

When her mother was alerted of what had happened, she could never assume her daughter’s injuries were so severe.

Her doctor, Charles Bagwell spoke of Samantha’s case on NBC12 and described how the inappropriately placed seatbelt made things worse.

“Where you could see the stripe of the seat belt in an enormous bruise across her abdomen, as well as the fact that the edge, the far edge of the belt, had actually cut through her abdominal wall, and she had protruding intestines from that. She was just about cut in two. Much of which, quite frankly, couldn’t be repaired. The injury was too severe.”

In order to keep her organs inside her body, the doctors had to use “binding” material.

Speaking of the accident, Samantha’s mom, Martin, says she regrets she didn’t force the girl use the booster sit although she wasn’t in the car that day.

“A lot of people seem to think that when the children don’t fit so easily in the booster, that it’s okay to take them out of the booster. That’s not the case,” Martin warned.

She believes that many parents don’t realize the dangers of not using booster seats. But what her daughter had to go through should serve as a warning. She hopes no other child will ever suffer such injuries because of something that could be easily avoided.

“Samantha also moved the shoulder belt behind her. So now the lap belt was carrying twice the force, and because she’s not tall enough without a booster, the lap belt went across her stomach instead of her hips. Doctors call the injury this caused ‘the seat belt syndrome.’”

Samantha now suffers from post traumatic stress disorder and still endures physical pain.

No matter how much your children complain about the booster seats or having the seatbelt on, don’t ever let them enter the car without having them on.

If you want to learn more about the “seatbelt syndrome” check out the video below.

Woman Caught Assaulting Daughter Because Dad Visits Her at School

People are left furious after a video of a 36-year-old mother, Angela Armendariz from Texas, assaulting her 9-year-old daughter emerged. The violent woman could be heard cursing and hitting the girl because she let her father visit her at school. Angela and her husband, Jesus Armendariz, are going through a divorce and she doesn’t want him to see the kids so she’s taking it out on the little girl.

Jesus says this wasn’t the first time for Angela to be abusive with the kids. He tried reporting the violence that was going on in the house before but he didn’t have any evidence. Speaking to News West 9 about the incident he says, “The officer recommended me not to look at it because to him it was graphic.” He adds how he believed he was strong enough to proceed, but it was too much for him to handle.

Currently, Child Protective Services are evaluating how much stress the girl was forced to go through. In the meantime, investigation is ongoing and Jesus got a custody of his daughter while Angela was charged with injury to a child.

We are so deeply saddened there are people like Angela out there who beat their kids and treat them with disrespect. We honestly hope she will get the punishment she deserves.

Girl is born with severe facial deformities – Doctors perform amazing reconstructive surgeries over the years

Tony and Theresa Hall were excited to welcome their baby girl into this world. During the nine moths, Theresa was always assured by the doctors that her pregnancy was proceeding greatly and that her baby would be perfectly healthy. However, that wasn’t the case.

When sweet Cody Hall was born, her whole face was covered in tumors as a result of a condition called hemangioma.

Initially, the new parents were told how their daughter’s face would be disfigured her whole life, but that of course didn’t stop them from tirelessly looking for ways to improve Cody’s condition. And, they succeeded. It took long years and numerous procedures, but Cody got the face she always deserved.

Sadly, as she grew up, people made mean comments about Cody’s appearance. The Halls remember how a neighbor once told them to put a bag on their girl’s head. They were saddened by the fact people were unable to look beyond their daughter’s looks and see her true beauty.

Eventually, Tony and Theresa saved enough money to afford Cody’s first surgery and took her to one of the world’s most renowned plastic surgeons, Dr. David Apfelberg from California. The procedure was very successful as the doctor managed to remove most of the growths on Cody’s face. Although she was left with scars, it was still a great start.

Next, after her parents saved some more money, they were able to take Cody to Dr. Milton Waner from new York.

During the period of 14 years, this doctor performed 21 surgeries on Cody’s face, and the final result is astonishing. Those who don’t know her story would never assume she was born with face abnormalities.

All those procedures cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, but it was all worth it. However, it wasn’t just her parents who supported her every step of the way, but also all the people who donated money and made her dream of looking the way she looks come true.

Today, Cody is happy, and she’s living her life to the fullest. Back in 2017, she tied the knot with a person who loves her unconditionally.

Cody, who now works as a health care support worker, always kept touch with the doctor who changed her life. Dr. Waner sent her a heartwarming message when she got married, and it speaks of the relation the two formed during the years.

“I am so happy to hear that you’re settled, that you’re married. I wish you and your husband all the best. And please drop me a line from time to time. I really, really enjoy getting a message from you,” he said.

Cody says he can never thank Dr. Waner enough for everything he has done for her. She even says he’s the second most important person in her life, right after her dad.

This incredible woman who was able to overcome so much in her life is now a mother of two. Her story is truly inspiring and reminds us that no matter how bad things look, there is always a way, especially when it comes to medical issues, as the medicine and the technology advance every single day.

Woman Makes FB Post about How a Young Store Clerk Treated an Elderly Man Who Asked for Help

The good we do for others can have a deep impact both on those we help and the onlookers who witness our generosity. By doing good, we make this world a much better place. Always keep in mind that no matter how small our act of kindness is, it can go a long way!

“I had to share this so everyone could see it!

“I was in the Tifton, Ga Publix tonight, when I saw one of the most beautiful scenes unfold before my eyes. A young man, by the name of Roger, was helping an elderly gentleman in a motorized wheelchair; he had the man’s shopping list and was helping him find his desired items. I stood there with another woman who had witnessed all of this and couldn’t hide the immense gratitude I had for that young man, Roger, as I teared up. She said she was coming in when the elderly gentleman stopped the young man, that was hard at work and asked, ‘Are you busy?’ And Roger smiled politely and replied, ‘No sir, how can I help you?’ The elderly man then asked him for his help because he knew it would take him all night to find what he needed and manage to get the items in his cart if he tried to do it alone.

“Roger, without hesitating, told him he would be happy to help. There was no agitation in his tone for being interrupted. There was no rush to his walk to make the man feel like he was a burden. He made that man feel important. He was listening to the man talk and made sure to be attentive and answered with respect and manners. As Roger passed me in the aisle, he greeted me with a smile and asked me how my evening was going and proceeded to help the man. It is so rare to see such a young person have such respect for his elders. I had tears knowing that the elderly gentleman was probably happy to have someone help him AND to listen to him. You don’t get this kind of service at just any grocery store but Publix, specifically the Publix in Tifton, Ga. This young man’s act of kindness meant so much to me and I am sure it meant so much to the gentleman he helped.”

Man Died of Coronavirus, Wife Wept for Help as She Was Quarantined With His Dead Body for 30 Hours

Since the World Health Organization declared the Covid 19 as a pandemic, the number of people affected by the virus causing it increases on a daily basis and no country is spared. The death toll goes up with each passing day, whole countries are on lockdown, and people fear for their life and the lives of their loved ones.

And as much as we are all highly disturbed by the mass panic that caught with the whole world, horrific stories like the one of an Italian woman whose name hasn’t been revealed reminds us of the severity of the situation.

According to Fox 8 News, the woman’s husband was tested positive for the virus but refused to be hospitalized. He passed away on March 9, 2020 in his apartment located in the northwestern coastal province of Borghetto Santo Spirito, west of Genoa. Authorities were able to answer his wife’s pleas for help on Wednesday, two days later. Sadly, she couldn’t get any help earlier than that because of the restrictions and nationwide shutdown, so she was forced to spend 30 hours with his dead body, with no one by her side to comfort her.

It was reported how the helpless woman was seen crying and screaming for help from her balcony.

“Right now the most important thing is to think about this lady, alone with the body of her husband,” a neighbor told IVG.IT, as quoted by Mirror. “No one can come close to help her nor comfort her. We hope this is quickly resolved. Our thoughts are with her and on what she is living through.”

When asked for a comment on the case, the mayor of Borghetto Santo Spirito, Giancarlo Canepa told CNN, “Yes, it is true she is still there with the body and we won’t be able to remove it until Wednesday morning. Unfortunately, we have a security protocol we must follow.”

The mayor added how this ordeal could have been avoided if the man accepted to be taken to hospital when his test results came positive.

When help finally arrived, his dead body was taken to Milan for an autopsy. The whole experience affected the wife deeply, so she’s currently getting psychological help.

Many countries are doing their best to fight this virus that’s spreading further and further. Schools have been locked around Europe and the U.S. and people are asked to follow recommendations that would help overcome the situation as soon as possible.

Gang Members Attack and Humiliate a Veteran – His Reaction Leaves Them in Awe

Many times during our lifetime, we come across people that hurt our feelings and treat us with disrespect. The thing is that these kinds of individuals will always be there, but it’s up to us to decide how we will handle that situation. Will we answer back with rage and disrespect, or will we show kindness instead? If you ever wonder what the right thing to do would be, please read the following story.

Carl was a quiet man. He didn’t talk much. He would always greet you with a big smile and a firm handshake. Even after living in our neighborhood for over 50 years, no one could really say they knew him very well. Before his retirement, he took the bus to work each morning. The lone sight of him walking down the street often worried us. He had a slight limp from a bullet wound received in WWII. Watching him, we worried that although he had survived WWII, he may not make it through our changing uptown neighborhood with its ever-increasing random violence, gangs, and drug activity.

When he saw the flyer at our local church asking for volunteers for caring for the gardens behind the minister’s residence, he responded in his characteristically unassuming manner. Without fanfare, he just signed up. He was well into his 87th year when the very thing we had always feared finally happened. He was just finishing his watering for the day when three gang members approached him. Ignoring their attempt to intimidate him, he simply asked, “Would you like a drink from the hose?” The tallest and toughest-looking of the three said, “Yeah, sure,” with a malevolent little smile.

As Carl offered the hose to him, the other two grabbed Carl’s arm, throwing him down. As the hose snaked crazily over the ground, dousing everything in its way, Carl’s assailants stole his retirement watch and his wallet, and then fled. Carl tried to get himself up, but he had been thrown down on his bad leg. He lay there trying to gather himself as the minister came running
to help him.

Although the minister had witnessed the attack from his window, he couldn’t get there fast enough to stop it. “Carl, are you okay? Are you hurt?” the minister kept asking as he helped Carl to his feet. Carl just passed a hand over his brow and sighed, shaking his head, “Just some punk kids!” I hope they’ll wise-up someday.”

His wet clothes clung to his slight frame as he bent to pick up the hose. He adjusted the nozzle again and started to water. Confused and a little concerned, the minister asked, “Carl, what are you doing?” “I’ve got to finish my watering. It’s been very dry lately,” came his calm reply.
Satisfying himself that Carl really was all right, the minister could only marvel. Carl was a man from a different time and place.

A few weeks later the three returned. Just as before their threat was unchallenged. Carl again offered them a drink from his hose. This time they didn’t rob him. They wrenched the hose from his hand and drenched him head to foot in the icy water. When they had finished their humiliation of him, they sauntered off down the street, throwing catcalls and curses, falling over one another laughing at the hilarity of what they had just done. Carl just watched them. Then he turned toward the warmth giving sun, picked up his hose, and went on with his watering. The summer was quickly fading into fall Carl was doing some tilling when he was startled by the sudden approach of someone behind him. He stumbled and fell into some evergreen branches.

As he struggled to regain his footing, he turned to see the tall leader of his summer tormentors reaching down for him. He braced himself for the expected attack.
“Don’t worry old man, I’m not gonna hurt you this time.” The young man spoke softly, still offering the tattooed and scarred hand to Carl. As he helped Carl get up, the man pulled a crumpled bag from his pocket and handed it to Carl. “What’s this?” Carl asked. “It’s your stuff,” the man explained. “It’s your stuff back, even the money in your wallet.” “I don’t understand,” Carl said. “Why would you help me now?”

The man shifted his feet, seeming embarrassed and ill at ease. “I learned something from you,” he said. “I ran with that gang and hurt people like you. We picked you because you were old and we knew we could do it. But every time we came and did something to you, instead of yelling and fighting back, you tried to give us a drink. You didn’t hate us for hating you. You kept showing love against our hate.” He stopped for a moment. “I couldn’t sleep after we stole your stuff, so here it is back.”

He paused for another awkward moment, not knowing what more there was to say. “That bag’s my way of saying thanks for straightening me out, I guess.” And with that, he walked off down
the street. Carl looked down at the sack in his hands and gingerly opened it. He took out his retirement watch and put it back on his wrist. Opening his wallet, he checked for his wedding photo. He gazed for a moment at the young bride that still smiled back at him from all those years ago. He died one cold day after Christmas that winter. Many people attended his funeral in spite of the weather. In particular the minister noticed a tall young man that he didn’t know sitting quietly in a distant corner of the church. The minister spoke of Carl’s garden as a lesson in life. In a voice made thick with unshed tears, he said, “Do your best and make your garden as beautiful as you can. We will never forget Carl and his garden.”

The following spring another flyer went up. It read: “Person needed to care for Carl’s garden.” The flyer went unnoticed by the busy parishioners until one day when a knock was heard at the minister’s office door. Opening the door, the minister saw a pair of scarred and tattooed hands holding the flyer. “I believe this is my job, if you’ll have me,” the young man said. The minister recognized him as the same young man who had returned the stolen watch and wallet to Carl. He knew that Carl’s kindness had turned this man’s life around. As the minister handed him the keys to the garden shed, he said, “Yes, go take care of Carl’s garden and honor him.” The man
went to work and, over the next several years, he tended the flowers and vegetables just as Carl had done.

During that time, he went to college, got married, and became a prominent member of the community. But he never forgot his promise to Carl’s memory and kept the garden as beautiful as he thought Carl would have kept it.

One day he approached the new minister and told him that he couldn’t care for the garden any longer. He explained with a shy and happy smile, “My wife just had a baby boy last night, and she’s bringing him home on Saturday.” “Well, congratulations!” said the minister, as he was handed the garden shed keys. “That’s wonderful! What’s the baby’s name?” “Carl,” he replied.
That’s the gospel of forgiveness in Jesus shining from one man’s heart to another. “Let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16).

Daughter Regrets Losing Patience With Her Old Mom During Shopping

When we are younger, especially during our teenage years, we tend to get into conflict with our moms. That’s because we believe we know everything and refuse to accept their advice on how life really works. Later on, however, we realize that no other person in this world is able to give us so much love and unconditional support the way our moms do. We also realize that we should never argue with them ever again but cherish their presence in our life as much as we can.

A few years ago, when my mother was, visiting, she asked me to go shopping with her because she needed a new dress. I don’t normally like to go shopping with other people, and I’m not a patient person, but we set off for the mall together nonetheless.

We visited nearly every store that carried ladies’ dresses, and my mother tried on dress after dress, rejecting then all. As the day wore on, I grew weary and my mother grew frustrated.

Finally, at our last stop, my mother tried on a lovely blue three-piece dress. The blouse had a bow at the neckline, and as I stood in the dressing room with her, I watched as she tried, with much difficulty, to tie the bow. Her hands were so badly crippled from arthritis that she couldn’t do it. Immediately, my impatience gave way to an overwhelming wave of compassion for her. I turned away to try and hide the tears that welled up involuntarily. Regaining my composure, I turned back to tie the bow for her.

The dress was beautiful, and she bought it. Our shopping trip was over, but the event was etched indelibly in my memory.

For the rest of the day, my mind kept returning to that moment in the dressing room and to the vision of my mother’s hands trying to tie that bow. Those loving hands that had fed me, bathed me, dressed me, caressed and comforted me, and, most of all, prayed for me, were now touching me in the most remarkable manner.

Later in the evening, I went to my mother’s room, took her hands in mine, kissed them and, much to her surprise, told her that to me they were the most beautiful hands in the world.

I’m so grateful that God let me see with new eyes what a precious, priceless gift a loving, self-sacrificing mother is. I can only pray that some day my hands, and my heart, will have earned such a beauty of their own.

Everyone Walked Past This Elderly Lady Who Slipped While Carrying Groceries

One of the best actors of all time, late Robin Williams, once said, “Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.” Now imagine what would have happened if we all lived by these wise words. Here is the answer. The world would be a better place and no person will ever experience the pain of being treated with disrespect.

The following story was shared by a man who witnessed one of the saddest sights ever, that of a helpless and vulnerable elderly lady who was in need of a helping hand but none of the passersby was willing to give it to her.

It reminds us that no matter how tiny the good deeds we do for others may seem to us, they can mean the world to someone. It goes like this:

While living in Chicago, I was walking down 63rd St. It was a cold, blustery day. On the opposite side of the street, I noticed a little old lady struggling with two large bags of groceries. All of a sudden, she slipped and fell on a patch of ice.
No one seemed to notice, didn’t care, or just simply ignored the lady in her plight. In fact, they either stepped over her, or went around her. No pone stopped to ask if she was hurt or tried to help her. I watched for a minute or two to see what would happen. Nobody offered any assistance at all!

Even though I knew I was going to be late for work, I ran across the street to see if I could help her. She was crying and had a large cut on her leg. I helped her up, gathered her spilled groceries, and walked her home. She only lived about a block or two away. But those blocks in the city are long! They don’t call them city blocks for nothing! Anyway, when we arrived at her house, she invited me in for coffee. I didn’t have the heart to say no because she looked so lonely. I fixed up her leg, and then we had coffee. She told me some remarkable stories and shared pictures. Thus began a warm and lasting friendship.

I went to visit with her once a week after that. She looked forward to my weekly visits, and always had coffee and sweets, as she called them. We were good friends for several years until she passed away. She was 78. I miss you Hannah.
RIP. Sleep with the angels.

Customer Overhears a Rich Woman Going Off on a Kid for a Cake Mix. When the Kid Starts Crying He Plots a Revenge

Some people are so full of themselves that they feel like they own the world and everyone around them is worthless. Luckily, there are also these other kinds of people who wouldn’t put up with someone hurting and humiliating others.

Well, this is a story of a man who stood up for one young employee without the kid even knowing that. And, he confessed it felt good to teach the rude person a lesson.

I was at the grocery store yesterday getting some stuff for this weekend when I stumbled upon something that really ticked me off. I’m just hanging out, minding my own business looking for stuff on the list my wife made me, when I heard something in the next aisle. Sounded like an argument. I’m a curious guy, so I skiddoodled on over to see what was going on. Some middle-aged soccer mom looking bitch was absolutely tearing into this cherub-faced kid about them not carrying the type of cake mix she wanted. “This is ridiculous! What kind of place is this!

I need that cake mix! Get your ass to the backroom and look for it again! I’m having a party tomorrow and have to have it!” The poor guy looked shell-shocked. If he was anything over 16 years old, I would be so surprised. But I’ll give it to him, he handled it pretty well. “I’m sorry ma’am … we don’t have any. I already looked … we have the store brand, though … it’s basically the same stuff… I’d be happy to get some of that for you?” he replied. Good on you, young store employee.

“NO. I DON’T WANT OFF-BRAND. YOU ARE A LOSER! GET ME YOUR MANAGER.”

Cake bitch was losing her shit. I know cake is awesome, but com’on lady, you’re being a big ol’ turd. The kid’s manager comes out, chats with the lady who continues to freak out, but eventually gets her just to take the store-brand cake mix. He and his employee walk past me, I noticed that the kid was in tears. I was feeling a little bit feisty yesterday. I can be a bastard-coated-bastard with bastard filling sometimes, but I absolutely hate it when people are rude to store employees/waiters/people they think are ‘beneath them.’ Really, really pisses me off. That bitch wasn’t getting away with it. I stalked her through the store, never getting too close to set off alarm. She moved from aisle to aisle getting more things for her impending bitch-festival, not knowing that a predator was about to strike.

She got some pretty delicious looking things, I might add…but I wasn’t after those. I had my target. I was going to take that fuc**ng cake mix. I knew exactly where it was in her cart. Her cart was getting pretty full so I decided to move in for the kill. The petty-revenge gods were on my side because somehow the cake mix wasn’t covered by anything. She turned her back on her cart and bent down to get something off the bottom shelf. I rushed in, very nonchalantly snagged the cake mix out of her cart, and moved on. Of course I had to watch to make sure she checked out. In fact, I made sure I was right behind her.

She didn’t notice a thing. For how big of a deal that damn cake mix was to her, I was surprised how little attention she payed to what she put on the conveyor belt. I smiled all night thinking about how she got home, unloaded all of her groceries, but couldn’t find the cake mix. She probably went back out to her car, looked around, maybe under the seats … but guess what lady, it’s not there. That cake mix deserved better than her. I bought it. It was confetti cake mix. It might have been for a kids party for all I know, but I don’t care. I made it when I got home and it was fuc**ing delicious. Store brands are great.

Mom leaves her baby with a teenager for a few minutes: seconds later she gets a picture and breaks down

Since the dawn of time teens have been babysitters, for some girls it’s a great way to earn some cash and easy money. These days though babysitting has become a different animal, there are so many regulations and rules to follow, it’s very different!

Us parents leave our children in the care of someone and that takes quite a bit of trust from the very beginning. We wouldn’t just leave them with anyone, mom’s want sitters with experience!

One mom, Claudia Sorhaindo, really thought she had been sensible asking her teenage niece to babysit her 2-month-old daughter. Later she realized that when she received a text from her niece, that not everyone follows the rules of childcare all the time!

Finding a babysitter at the last minute is really hard, almost impossible, so sometimes family members are the only choice, but always the right person for the job at hand…

Claudia needed to do some errands, so on the last minute she enlisted the help of her niece, 15-years-old, she is one of 17 grand-kids so has plenty of experience!

On Facebook, Claudia said:

“So I had to run out the house for a quick min, so I asked my niece to babysit Baby Ava. A few mins later I received a text saying that J’Ann wanted to make a sandwich but didn’t want to let baby Ava out of her sight.”

Some kids for some sitters, even experienced sitter are quite a handful, but especially when you don’t have a spare hand to hold baby, make sandwiches and talk on the phone! So what do you do?

Well as the expression goes ‘mother of invention’ is, you guessed it, ‘necessity’ which gave birth to the most amazing and funny solution you will ever see, J’ann’s creativity strikes!

Mom, Claudia said:

“Lord sends help, this was her solution…like really…creativity at its finest.”

Facebook/Claudia Sorhaindo

Just look at the two of them, so cute and adorable. The cute little one tucked up safe and sound in her aunties kangaroo pouch! Her tiny little feet are poking out, leg to leg, what a great fit they are!

But as funny and silly as it might seem, there is a deeper story, in 2011 Claudia’s 3-month-old little girl, called Jenelle, sadly died. So mom is naturally quite protective of her little girl and it was really lovely to see her little girl so close and well looked after!

The very clever and smart teen really needs an award for ingenuity, or at least resourcefulness, after all, it does take real skill and natural talent to do it!

The Photos that Claudia posted on Facebook are shared over 6,800 times!

Little Boy Tells His Mom Why Dad Divorced Her

Little kids can be awesome. What I love about them is that they always speak their mind. Well, sometimes even more than they’re allowed to or supposed to. And although their actions can drive us mad, we do realize their intentions are always innocent and pure.

Take this kid for example. He was able to discover so much about his mom from her drivers licence, even why his dad divorced her. Wanna know how? Read the hilarious conversation below.

The kid says, “But I learned so much about you from it.”

She says, “Well, ok, what did you learn about me?”

“Well, says the kid… “I know your age now.”

“And what is that?” Says his mother?

“You’re old,” says the kid.

“And I learned your height.”

“Which is?’ says the mother.

“You’re really tall,” he says.

“Well, yes, I am tall for a woman.”

“And, I learned your weight,” he says.

“And what is that?” asks the mother.

“A lot for a woman your height” the kids says.

The mother sighs and says “well, that’s not nice, but I can’t argue that”

“And,” the kid says “I know why dad divorced you.”

“Huh? What?” says the mother. “How on earth did you get that from a drivers license?”

“Because, you got an f in sex.”

If this made you laugh, share it with your friends.

Cleaning Company Is Donating Thousands of Toilet Paper Rolls to the Elderly and the Disabled Who Can’t Get Supplies

The coronavirus outbreak that has been labeled a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) left millions in fear for their life. And as the situation is getting more severe with each passing day, people are panic buying supplies.

Sadly, that leaves the markets’ shelves empty and many people are left empty handed, especially the elderly.

One of the products people stock-pile the most is the toilet paper and that leads to shortage of the product. So, a cleaning company has announced they will supply elderly people with thousands of toilet rolls during the pandemic.

The radio station Fox FM asked from companies to step in, and that’s when Dexter Gordon, 32, decided to take his part in helping the disabled and the elderly people get as many rolls as they need.

“I heard the presenters were looking for companies to donate to people who are struggling, so I sent them my remaining stock,” he told Daily Mail Australia.

Radio presenters Fifi Box and Byron Cook were thankful their plea was heard and thanked Dexter’s Cleaning for their generous donation through Instagram where they wrote: “Look at the toilet rolls! Thanks so much Dexter’s Cleaning.”

The company announced their donations on that same social media. “We decided to get rid of ALL of our current toilet paper supply and give it to the elderly and vulnerable in our community. Thank you to @fifi_box and @fififevbyron for the initiative and getting these care packs to people who need it most. We have a NEW order arriving tomorrow and we kindly ask you to consider purchasing for the same sorts of people in your family or community. So if there are any pensioners who may find it hard to go to the store and you can purchase on behalf of them, we would be most grateful. Link to order in our Instagram bio (Melb metro delivery only, for the moment). #HonourSystem #InItTogether”.

Mr. Gordon added: “I’m getting another order in tomorrow and as a result started an online store so that people can help look after those around them.”

Listeners can nominate people who are in great need of products during these rough times through the radio’s website.

Other companies have undertaken efforts to ease the approach to products to the most vulnerable community members. Woolworths, for example, is doing this for the disabled and the elderly shoppers and lets them purchase essentials one hour before the store opens for other customers.

Additionally, because they don’t want some people to just stock pile while others don’t get the chance to buy even a single thing, many stores including Aldi are limiting the purchase of some products to one. At the time, this chain of supermarkets, along with Woolworths and Coles, have imposed a one-pack per shopper restriction on essentials such as toilet rolls, flour, rice, tissues, and hand sanitizer.

Middle-Aged School Principal Joins Dance Team – Then Completely Steals the Show

When we hear the word school principal most of us think of a strict person who never laughs.

Yes, I know this profession is in the group of vocations that we stereotype, but this incredible story is here to change the way we perceive these people who are in charge of the educational institutions.

One particular school principal, Dr. Reynolds, is a kind of person who loves being around the kids. In fact, she is always there for them and doesn’t mind going an extra mile when it comes to offering her support and help. And this time, it wasn’t any different.

Namely, the Lake Mary High School has a step team and the whole school is proud of them. And now, as some of you may assume already, this daring principal decided to join in one of their routines.

When the team first heard that Dr. Reynolds wanted to take part in one of their performances, they thought she was just messing with them, but once they realized she meant it for real, they were all looking forward to the outcome and were happy to have her in.

What’s more, the whole team knew the rest of the students at the school would be pleasantly surprised.

So, Dr. Reynolds practiced with the step team in secrecy. And even after the word that she will be dancing during the half time of the basketball match spread among the students, most were convinced it was just a rumor.

On the day of the match, students were wondering whether their favorite principal will appear at the court, but once the team started their routine and Dr. Reynolds was nowhere to be seen, everyone knew she wasn’t really dancing that day. But were they right?

In the middle of the half-time, as the team members were rearranging for a new choreography, Dr. Reynolds walked onto the court wearing the team’s outfit and all the students started cheering as loud as they could.

All eyes were on Dr. Reynolds as she had her fists pressed together waiting for the music to be on. The routine started with the dancers moving in waves.

Everyone was surprised as how great their principal danced. It was obvious it took her time and energy to perfect the moves as she didn’t even miss a beat.

Students continued cheering and showing their support. And just when everyone thought this incredible woman was done, she went on to show more of her dancing talent.

The choreography was filmed by some of the students and one uploaded it on YouTube. People went crazy over the video and praised Dr. Reynolds for being there with her students every step of the way. Many agree that we need more people like her who are able to connect with the students at a deeper level.

The performance has been seen more than 3.5 million times, and once you see it yourself you’ll understand why.

Do you think your principal could nail something like this? If your answer is no, think twice, you may end up surprised just like the students at the Lake Mary.

Take a look at the video below and don’t forget to share it with your friends.
