Willie Nelson’s beloved sister has passed away

Country singer Willie Nelson is said to be incredibly personable and very much comfortable around fans. Over the course of his long and very successful career, he has won 10 Grammys and received 50 nominations. Among the rest, he earned a Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999.

As Willie started writing songs at age 7 and joined his first band at 10, there was one person who was by his side throughout the years and supported his dream of becoming a star, his sister Bobbie. Both Willie and Bobbie were born during the Great Depression and as he wrote in his memoir, ”might sound corny, but the truth is we were dirt poor in material possessions, but we were rich in love.” Although Bobbie was two years older than him, he always referred to her as to his little sister.

The siblings were raised by their parental grandparents, who were the reason why Bobbie and Willie got hooked on music from early age. “I liked the arrangement because our grandparents were kind and caring. But I was also comforted by the knowledge that my mom and dad lived right next to us. Willie and I saw them every day. My parents rounded out my world. So to see that world fall apart scared me to death,” Bobbie was reported to have written in her brother’s memoir, Me and Sister Bobbie: True Tales of the Family Band.

Both Bobbie and Willie started performing during their childhood and created beautiful music together.

At the age of only 16, Bobbie married husband Bud Fletcher, who organized a music group for her and Willie. The Texans was quite a band.

Although their marriage was a good one, the two eventually divorced in 1995 and that was when the band disassembled.

“I never did want to divorce him,” Bobbie said.

“I really loved the man. We didn’t either one want a divorce. But Bud was sick, and I think it was due to drinking. I might be wrong about that, but I was very young and didn’t know exactly what the problem was.”

Unfortunately, Bobbie lost the custody of her three sons, Randy, Michael, and Freddy. The judge believed that her career choice, which included a lot of traveling and performing, made her an unfit mother.

During her tough times, Willie was there for her every step of the way. He even moved to Forth Worth to support her when she hit rock bottom. It wasn’t until later when she married again that she was able to have her sons with her again. After Bonnie’s third and final marriage failed, she went to Nashville to be with Willie.

During the early 70’s, Willie’s career took off and he invited Bonnie to play the piano on his albums, including The TroublemakerShotgun Willie, and Phases and Stages.

The siblings reached fame and toured together for many years.

“Our whole life has been one song after another. Learning to play music and his beautiful ability to write songs. I love to play his music. It’s actually my favorite thing in the world to play with Willie,” she told Fort Worth Star-Telegram in 2007.

Bonnie went through many heartbreaks over the years. She lost two of her sons and that crushed her. Her son Michael died at only 36 years old due to leukemia. She was still mourning his death when her son Randy died in a car crash.

It was the music she created and played together with her brother that she found solace in.

Unfortunately, Bobbie passed away on March 10, 2022, at the age of 91.

Willie Nelson lost his little sister whom he was very close to his entire life. “My bond with Bobbie is a testimony to the healing power of family. Ironically, perhaps, our bond was born out of the collapse of our original family,” Willie Nelson wrote his memoir.

The family released a statement which read: ”Her elegance, grace, beauty and talent made this world a better place. She was the first member of Willie’s band, as his pianist and singer. Our hearts are broken and she will be deeply missed. But we are so lucky to have had her in our lives. Please keep her family in your thoughts and give them the privacy they need at this time.”

The cause of death hasn’t been revealed.

Rest in peace, Bobbie.

Woman hits wild horse with a shovel, the horse kicks her back

Getting close to wild animals can be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but we can all agree that it can be a very dangerous one, too.

The Assateague Island, which is on the coast of Maryland and Virginia, is a breathtaking tourist attraction not only because of the astounding surrounding, but also because of the wild horses residing there. However, no matter how majestic and elegant the horses look, tourists should have in mind that they are wild, which means they should be handled with care and only be approached from a safe distance.

“Horses bite, kick, & charge. Keep at least 40 feet away,” is just one of the many signs placed on the island.

Source: Facebook Video Screenshot – People of The Ocean City Boardwalk

Unfortunately, this didn’t stop one of the tourists from getting violent towards one of the wild creatures. Because of no apparent reason, she took a shovel in her hand and decided to hit the animal with it. Someone saw her intention and started filming the incident because they knew it would end badly. On the video, one of the onlookers could be heard saying: “They’re going to kick you,” but the woman proceeded with hurting the poor horse.

Of course, that’s exactly what happened. The powerful animal responded instantly and kicked the woman. She fell into the sand but didn’t seem to be heavily injured.

Source: Facebook Video Screenshot – People of The Ocean City Boardwalk

After the video went viral, the Assateague Island National Seashore Law Enforcement Rangers and the National Park Service released a statement regarding the incident.

“These horses have learned where to find food and how to get it. They can bite or stomp a food package open, they can kick open an unsecured cooler, they can eat right out of open beach bags. The horses will stage an all-out assault on the beach in the pursuit of food. This is so dangerous for visitors,” the NPS said, as reported by Miami Herald.

Source: Facebook Video Screenshot – People of The Ocean City Boardwalk

“Assateague’s horses are beautiful, tough, and wild. They have learned to survive in a harsh environment. Feeding and/or petting them is detrimental to both visitors and horses.”

“Visitors are kicked, bitten and knocked down every year as a direct result of getting too close to the wild horses. Treating wild horses like tame animals takes away the wildness that makes them special. Protect your family by respecting theirs. Give the horses the space they need to be wild.”

Everyone who has seen the video agreed that the woman got what she deserved for messing with the wrong animal.

You can take a look at the incident in the video below.

School officer makes eye contact then grabs teen before it’s too late

Police officer Roger Caron is one of those people who never stop doing what they do best, and in his case that’s making sure everyone around him is perfectly safe and sound. Although he retired from the force nearly 30 years ago, he still spends his days as a safety and security officer at the Pascack Hills High School.

All the kids know him very well and feel secure whenever he is around. They know they can count on him if they come across any problem.

He pays attention to every student and prevents any bullying or fighting, and never lets anything gets out of his hands.

This past April, while officer Caron was on his job, one girl’s behavior caught his attention. He could see she was walking in a strange manner and suspected something was wrong.

“She was stumbling a little, moving very quickly,” he told CBS New York.
The closer I got to her, I realized there was a problem.”

17-year-old Sarah was rushing to class, trying to finish her sandwich while on the run, when a french fry got stuck in her throat. She tried taking it out, but in vain. The girl was choking and she couldn’t do anything to save herself.

“Every step I took, I got very weak,” she said.
After a couple of seconds, I felt myself fading.”

Luckily, officer Caron acted quickly and approached young Sarah whose face had turned blue by the time he came closer. He is trained to help in situations like this and knew exactly what he needed to do. He gave her a few thrusts using the Heimlich maneuver.

A couple of seconds later, the french fry came dislodged and Sarah could breath again. Everyone who witnessed the amazing scene said officer Caron did something truly incredible and saved the girl’s life. According to NewJersey.com, Montvale Mayor Mike Ghassali described the incident as an

“excellent job by hero Special Law Enforcement Officer II Roger Caron.”

Officer Caron however believes he was only doing his job: “It’s a wonderful feeling to know you can help somebody, and that’s what I took away from this.”

Sarah however, says he will always be her hero.

“There’s such a special bond I have with him now. He’s a hero,” she told CBS New York.

She has always dreamed of becoming an officer and what happened only strengthened her desire to pursue a career in the police forces and study criminal justice.

Chocking is more common that we assume and being able to act accordingly when someone is chocking is crucial for saving the person’s life.

Below are the steps of the Heimlich maneuver:

  1. If someone can cough, speak or breathe, encourage them to continue trying to cough out the item. If they cannot cough, speak or breathe, move on to step 2.
  2. Stand behind victim with one leg forward between their legs.
  3. Reach around the stomach to locate their belly button
  4. Place the thumb side of your fist against the person’s stomach just about the belly button.
  5. Grab your first with your other hand and thrust inward and upward into the stomach using quick jerks.

Mom is left infuriated after her son’s school snack is thrown away for being unhealthy

Although eating healthy is essential for having a fit body and being in a good physical condition in general, doing it is not really as easy and as straightforward as it looks. With the tight schedules, most of us barely find the time to consume any food, and cooking it ourselves is many times quite impossible.

But when it comes to our children, we do our best to teach them to eat healthy from an early age so that it becomes their habit.

One mom from Canada, however, complained that her young son’s school staff went too far when they regarded his home-brought lunch unhealthy and threw it in the trash.

Durham Catholic District School introduced a healthy eating initiative and started serving the kids healthy food only. They asked from the parents to support this idea and mind what they put in their children’s lunch boxes.

So, this mom packed her son a slice of banana bread that he loved. To her surprise, the teacher considered the choice unhealthy because it had chocolate chips in it so she just took it and threw it in front of everyone. The crying four-year-old boy who was in distress had grapes for lunch that day, as it was all he was left with after his lunch was taken away from him.

Mom Elaina Daoust was left infuriated because her son had to go through such an unpleasant experience.

“He came home with a chart (listing healthy snack ideas) and told me he and the teacher talked about it and healthy choices. She also sent a note to me. I was really, really, really mad for several reasons,” Elaina told The Star.

Some of the items the staff forbade from being eaten inside the school building were Goldfish crackers, juice boxes, granola bars, chocolate milk, string cheese, and fruit snacks.

As it turned out, Elaina’s boy wasn’t the only one who was left without his lunch as around 30 other parents said their kids experienced the same thing.

But the school believes they have all the right to take the unhealthy food from the kids as healthy eating is now part of the school curriculum and students have to distinguish between what’s healthy and what’s not.

However, not everyone agrees with the school’s policy as James MacKinnon, a teaching and learning consultant with the school board says “There is nowhere in our policy or procedures that says our staff is allowed to take food away from a student.”

What do you think of this school’s policy? How would you react if you were in this mom’s shoes? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.

Jon Cryer and wife Lisa first kissed on set after she thought he could be her ‘new best gay friend’

Two and a Half Men is one of those comedy sitcoms that are much loved and watched by millions of people. Over the years, this show became a true classic that we go back to over and over again.

Originally staring Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, and Angus T. Jones, the series revolves around the hectic, yet exciting lives of the hedonistic jingle writer Charlie Harper, his uptight brother Alan Harper, and Alan’s bright but mischievous son Jake Harper.

Jon Cryer, with the role of Alan Harper, gave the show a special touch. Honestly, we can never imagine anyone else playing the role. But that wasn’t what the CBS producers thought when the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre, decided Cryer to be part of the series.

The truth was that although Cryer already had his breakthrough starring alongside Molly Ringwald in the film Pretty in Pink, he was at one point of his career labeled a “show killer” by Newsweek because most of the projects he was part of, including The Famous Teddy Z, which only lasted for 20 episodes, PartnersGetting Personal, and The Trouble With Normal were all canceled.

“After the ‘show killer’ thing — I joke about it now, but at the time, it was a real issue for me in the industry,” Cryer recalled in an interview with CBS News.

“There was not a lot of people that wanted to hire me for a while. I spent three years with very little work.”

Youtube/TV Land

That was until he was welcomed to read the part for the role in Two and a Half Men. However, the show’s producers weren’t keen on Cryer and didn’t see him as the right fit.

“I knew his work, and I was kind of disappointed that they didn’t want to meet or even see him,” series creator Chuck Lorre said. “But his representatives said, ‘you really should see him for this part.’ So there was nothing in that conversation with CBS keeping me from seeing him. So he read for the part, and he was brilliant. Clearly heads and shoulders above anyone else trying out for the part. It was perfect.”

As Lorre already knew Cryer was the perfect choice, he got a call from the rest of the CBS producers.

“You’re bringing Cryer, aren’t you,” Lorre recalled the head of casting saying.

“He came in and read in the worst possible circumstance. They really didn’t want to like him. But he was brilliant. It was the right choice. He has never been anything other than brilliant on the show every week. He is one of the great actors of our time,” Lorre added.

Cryer spent 12 years on the show and starred in 262 episodes. People loved him so much that he became a megastar who got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and became the first ever actor to earn both a Primetime Emmy for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor for the same show.

When Charlie Sheen was fired from the show in 2011, magazines started writing of the troublesome relationship between him and Cryer. Sheen sued CBS in behalf of everyone from the cast, but as his name was the only name listed in the lawsuit, he called Cryer a “turncoat, a traitor, a troll” in an interview with E!

Their relationship got better eventually, after they met again in 2015 and Sheen apologized for his words and actions.

“At the time, I was not angry [with Charlie Sheen],” Cryer said. “I was just scared every day that I was going to read about Charlie being dead. But anybody who has gotten close to him knows that there’s a really great guy in there. And that he’s been a guy going through some very tough times. And you just have to feel for somebody going through that.”

After their reconciliation, Cryer said: “It was great to see him after all of the craziness because we did have something great together.

“I don’t know. I loved working with him before, but I don’t know how much I can invite that into my life at this point! We’ll see. But I’ll never say never.”

After Two and a Half Men ended in February, 2015, Cryer went on to star in other films and series, including NCIS.

He married his first wife, British actress Sarah Trigger, in 1999. They have son Charlie Austin together. They divorced in 2004. Following the separation, Cryer experienced some tough times. he even confessed that he paid for sex one time.

“I was in a bad state right after my divorce, and I certainly didn’t feel dateable. I was an emotional basket case. What good was I to any woman I might have interest in? I decided I might as well pay someone for company and certain intimate pleasures so that I could at least get my equilibrium back with the opposite sex,” Cryer wrote.

Ron Galella/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images

It was Sheen who suggested a “few online purveyors,” and Cryer went for it, describing the experience “as awkward as you might imagine.”

“It was really a very friendly experience, maybe because the act of having sex is quite the conversational icebreaker. The next time, I went to her place, which probably wasn’t really her place,” Cryer wrote.

“We sat down, tried to make small talk, and halfheartedly stumbled into a conversation about recent fluctuations in the stock market. Somehow I ended up spending 25 minutes of my hour helping her with financial planning.”

Three years later, in an episode of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Cryer announced that he was engaged to entertainment reporter Lisa Joyner, whom he married in Mexico in June 2007.

When they first met, Joyner was convinced Cryer was gay and she already pictured him in her head as her new “gay best friend.” In Cryer’s memoir, So That Happened, Joyner wrote: ”At first I wasn’t sure if you were gay or not.’ She looked down, then continued  ‘Y’know, because we’ve been going on dates for six weeks, and you’ve never even kissed me good night.’”

The couple adopted daughter Daisy Cryer in 2009. The two are heavily involved in helping the community, especially the homeless and children with disabilities. He has a net worth of $70 million.

Jon Cryer is an incredible actor, a family man, and a philanthropist, and that’s the reason why we all adore him so much.

Local North Texas Chevy dealer donates brand new red pickup truck to teen caught in tornado

A video of a red pick up truck tossed around in a middle of a tornado on Highway 290 in Elgin, Texas, has left thousands of people speechless. The truck got flipped, spun, and then flipped over again. The video then shows the person behind the wheel, who was later identified as 16-year-old Riley Leon, continue driving.

Riley was returning home from a job interview at Whataburger when the devastating tornado appeared “out of nowhere.”

Source: YouTube/ KHOU 11

Shortly before his truck got tossed, he called his mother to tell her the interview went well and he got the job. Seconds later, he found himself in a life-threatening situation that could easily cost his life. Luckily, despite his age, Riley picked himself up and tried getting out of the road.

“I honestly didn’t know what to do, to grab onto the steering wheel or to start praying,” the teen said. “I landed in the center of the road and I was just driving to get off the road.”

That’s when Commander Aaron Crim with the Elgin Police Department spotted him and approached him as he wanted to make sure he was fine.

Riley couldn’t wait to share his incredible survival story with his mother. He called her and told her what had happened. She was in disbelief and said she didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. The most important thing was that he was safe and sound. Riley was left unharmed, but his truck was damaged.

The vehicle used to belong to his father, but it was now Riley’s. In fact, the teen said he paid it off which speaks of how well raised he is. Not only he is a quick-thinking young man who managed to stay cool-headed during a deadly situation, but he’s also hard-working and punctual.

Source: YouTube/ KHOU 11

Seeing the devastation in his eyes during his interview in which he spoke of the incredible experience and how sad he was for his truck, a North Texas Chevrolet dealer decided to give Riley a brand new truck. He is expected to pick up his new vehicle at Bruce Lowrie Chevrolet in Fort Worth on Saturday.

For the actual footage of the tornado and how Riley survived the encounter with it go to the video below.

Dad is left furious after teacher cut his daughter’s hair without permission

When we send our kids to school, we tend to believe that they are well taken care of as these institutions are supposed to be safe places for our little ones. The sad reality is that this is not always the case. Many times, educational institutions is where most of the bullying takes place, and not much is done regarding this issue which affects a huge number of young students.

However, when the assault and the bullying comes from a teacher, it is even more concerning, just as in the case of a 7-year-old girl named Jurnee whose hair was cut at school without her parents’ permission.

Jimmy Hoffmeyer, from Mount Pleasant, Michigan, is still looking for answers as to what truly happened on the day his daughter came home crying and saying her hair was cut. “After that teacher cut her hair, she was so embarrassed. So embarrassed. Because she had to go back to class like that,” Hoffmeyer said. To make things worse, this was the third time for the girl’s hair to be cut in a week.

The first time, one of the students did it, and Jimmy wasn’t particularly angry because he understood kids do such things. However, he was forced to take her to a hairdresser to make it more symmetrical. But now that the girl in distress told him she had a teacher cut it, he was left furious.

“Our kind of hair, you can’t just wet down and cut it because and that’s when I feel like they should have, even if they were trying to do it in the kindest of their heart, once they seen the outcome, they should have been like, yeah we messed up,” he told ABC12 News.

Hoffmeyer tried contacting the school multiple times, but no one wanted to tell him what happened. “I would like them to own up to their responsibilities,” he said. “Like, we’ve been asking as a public apology for the most part to let Jurnee know that yes they acknowledge that it was wrong and that it should have never been done and that she should never have been through something like this.”

In the meantime, while he’s still waiting for answers some four months after the incident, the girl is transferred to another school.

Boy who spent 11 years in the foster system and lived with 15 different families can’t believe he’s being adopted

Jenny and Stephen Madkour from Oregon had been planning on opening the doors to their home to an older child from the foster system after they learned there was a shortage of foster families in the region.

Shortly after they came up with this decision, they stumbled upon the life story of a 15-year-old boy named Alex who shared how he lost faith in the system after being forced to live with fifteen different families over the course of 11 years. The touching words he uttered on Jeff Gianola’s Wednesday Child convinced the Madkours that Alex was the boy they were looking for.

Source: YouTube Screenshot/ BoysandGirlsAid

“Anybody who’s seen that video of Alex, his core awesome comes out in that video,” Jenny said. “It was such a great thing, the way Jeff Gianola talked to him and Alex’s interaction with him, it really gave us a glimpse of who Alex is.”

In no time, they contacted Alex’s caseworkers at Boys and Girls Aid and told them they wanted Alex to be part of their family. Once the organization delivered the news to Alex, his initial thought was “this is not going to happen, you guys are just trying to fool me.”

Source: YouTube Screenshot/ BoysandGirlsAid

However, this time is was different. He met with Jenny and Stephen before Thanksgiving and started living with them before Christmas. They started working on the adoption papers right away.

Finally, after years of uncertainty, Alex found his forever home with people who love him unconditionally. He’s now happy, fulfilled, and thriving. “I didn’t think I was going to find a forever home this good,” he said.

According to Boys and Girls Aid, the number of children who live in foster care in Oregon is around 8,000. The organization’s mission is building lifelong connections.

We honestly hope every child out there will find a loving home to call theirs just like Alex did.

Pit Bull left at shelter cries as she watches her human walk away, days later, everything changes

Mira, the pit bull, is just one of the many dogs abandoned by their owners. She was simply dropped off at the nearby shelter, without remorse. As she was trying to figure out what was going on and where her dad was going without her, he didn’t even turn his head to look at her or hug her one last time.

Many of these dogs can’t cope with the fact their owners are gone and they can’t get used to the life at the noisy shelters, so they easily get depressed and lead an unhappy and miserable lives.

However, this particular story shared by Chicago’s Trio Animal Foundation speaks about the losses and the new beginnings the shelter dogs go through. Those who are lucky get a second chance for a better life and end up in a loving forever home. Luckily, that is what happened to Mira.

Photo: Trio Animal Foundation/ This photo was taken as Mira watched her dad walk out the front door and out of her life.

Below is her story:

“This girl’s heart broke the moment her dad walked out the door.

“Yesterday, while at an open access shelter, a man walked in with his dog named Mira. He said that he was moving and no longer had time for her.

“Mira was wagging her tail and was so proud and happy to be walking with her dad. It was not until they were removing her collar and replacing it with a slip lead that she started to realize that something was up. It was then that her dad turned around and walked out the door.

“As Mira watched her dad walk away, she started to whimper. Once he made it outside, she began to cry for him. Mira did everything that she could to get out the door to be reunited with her dad and her stress level quickly went through the roof… she just cried and cried.

“At this point, I knew that she would have a complete meltdown if she were put in the general population with the other homeless dogs.

“I asked if she could stay out by the front desk with me so that she could be calmed down. Needless to say, I didn’t have the heart to bring her to the back room and so she ended up in my car.

“Mira will be adopted out through TAF’s rescue division, Project Rescue Chicago. This beautiful girl is 3 years old, potty trained, dog friendly and good with kids (she has never been tested with cats).”

Photo: Trio Animal Foundation

After the details of her life were shared online, on November 1st, Mira’s new daddy walked into her life and made a change. This is what happened next:

“INTO THE LOVING ARMS OF HER NEW DAD…

“Just this past week, Mira sat frantically crying at the front door of an open access shelter as her former dad walked out and left her behind… for the days to come, she cried and found it hard to eat. Mira’s heart was shattered into a million pieces.

“We at TAF knew that it would take a caring and gentle man to mend Mira’s emotional wounds and make her happy, again.

“Well, as fate would have it, that man was about to walk into Mira’s life and help to ease her pain and show her that she was loved.

“A while back, Mira’s new dad lost his senior pittie girl to cancer and the thought of bringing a new pup into his life was just too painful… after caring for his baby girl until the end, his heart was broken.

“It was not until he saw Mira’s story and the look of despair in her eyes that he knew they were meant to be together. That very same day he filled out an adoption application and the rest is history.

“As of today, Mira has a new dad and two broken hearts are happy once more.”

The man who adopted loving Mira has lost his dog and now the two can be happy again because they have each other. This all tells us what a difference we can make in an animal’s life if we decide to adopt them from the shelters.

We hope they have an amazing life ahead.

The fascinating life story of Sylvester Stallone’s mom and her unexpected confession

How many people you know can say they did things ahead of time? Not many, I guess. Because being a progressive force and doing things your way takes a lot of courage, especially when you are surrounded by people who hold on to conservative beliefs and are resistant to change.

Jackie Stallone, the famous mother of Sylvester Stallone, lived quite a life.

She was considered a socialite and a pioneer, but above all, she attracted a lot of attention because of her obsession with plastic surgery.

Born Jacqueline Frances Labofish in Washington D.C. in November 1921, to a father who was a well-known lawyer and a mother of French descent, Jackie was expected to follow into her father’s footsteps. She, however, had imagined her life quite differently, away from the courtroom, so when she turned 15 she ran away from home and joined the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailly Circus for the Flying Wallenda’s act.

”My father, who was a wealthy lawyer, wanted me to go to law school. But I wanted to be onstage,” Jackie told The Times of London in 2005.

After working as a trapeze artist and singing in a choir on Broadway, Jackie returned home to Washington D.C. and did something no one has done it there before. She started her own TV show where she practiced exercise and weightlifting, something everyone believed was not for women during the 1950’s. One thing was certain; Jackie broke barriers and her show became a hot topic back in the day.

One day, she tried entering a gym because she wanted to weight lift but was told she didn’t belong there only because she was a woman. Men were convinced women belonged in the kitchen, and that infuriated Jackie who decided to open a women-only gym, Barbella’s, next door to the men’s gym.

“Of course, the city tried to close me down every week because I had this big wooden statue of a woman saying ’Barbella’s’ – a woman with about a 56-inch bust – lifting weights, you know? That was my inducement… because for some reason o another, everyone was flatchested in Washington, D.C., in the ’50s,” Jackie shared with the Sun Herald in 1988.

In 1945, Jackie met her future husband, Frank Stallone. The following year, Sylvester Stallone was born.

The news of his birth was welcomed with mixed emotions. He was perfectly healthy while in the womb, but during delivery, doctors used ice-picks in order to get him out and damaged half of his body and face. Sly, as his mom called him, was left partially paralyzed.

“During the delivery to speed things up, they grabbed these ice-picks [forceps] and yanked the baby out paralyzing his whole head and face and part of his body. His body was so deformed it was pathetic,” Jackie said.

“The doctors told me ‘He’s so crippled you ought to put him away.’ But I decided he was going to walk, he was going to talk,” she added.

Shutterstock

Her sons were the center of Jackie’s world. She was considered a very devoted mother who did so much for her boys. She divorced Frank in 1957.

In 1989, Jackie appeared in the wrestling program GLOW: Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, and turned to astrology, which became her permanent career. She published a book and did TV shows where she would give people advice for money.

However, she would probably be most remembered for her appearance and the many plastic surgeries she had over the years.

She couldn’t put her addiction under control even after turning 90. In fact, she never stopped “improving” her face, and although it looked like she was happy with the way she looked, she regretted changing her appearance so drastically.

“I do and actually I’ve got too much, I look like I’ve got a mouth full of nuts, it’s Juvederm (a cosmetic filler), too much of it. I feel as though I look like a chipmunk,” she told Daily Mail in 2013, adding that she had over 50 injections and three chemical peels.

“It plumps [you] up here (pointing at her cheeks) but it looks like you have a mouth full of walnuts.”

She was aware people were talking about her. “I know it isn’t normal. The papers in London are the worst. They say, ’She’s the world’s worst’, that I look like a pet bulldog. I really do. I’ve seen too much bad work,” she said. At the same time, she denied ever using botox. “No Botox, I don’t need that, what I want Botox wouldn’t help. I don’t have wrinkles in my forehead, I genetically don’t have that, that’s something I can be thankful for,” she said.

Jackie was a woman who took great care of herself. She was very fit even when she turned 97. Very often, she posted photos of her at the gym wanting to raise awareness of the importance of exercise and to encourage everyone to lead a healthy life.

Unfortunately, she passed away just two years before reaching 100.

The news of her passing was shared by her son Frank who posted a heartbreaking tribute to the woman who meant the world to him and his brother.

”It was hard not to like her, she was very eccentric and flamboyant person.

”Her mind was as sharp as a razor till the day she died. She never wore a mask a true revolutionary gal. My brother Sylvester took care of her like a Queen for all of her life. I will never be able to call my mom again or have her yell at me why I never got married. But we all loved her and her spirit to survive and prevail . I’ll miss you always mommy.”

The cause of death remains unknown until this day. What we know is that she died in her sleep.

Rest in peace, Jackie Stallone. You are dearly missed.

Queen Elizabeth called Camilla a “wicked woman,” leaving Charles angry and in tears

When the news about the relationship between Prince Charles and Camilla spread around, the entire country was in a complete shock. It looked like everyone was angry at the heir to the throne for cheating on Diana, the princess who stole millions of hearts because of her groundbreaking humanitarian work and the care she showed for her people.

Why many turn back to this turbulent period for the Royal Family is the series Crown, which reminded everyone once again just how special Lady Di was.

Although her marriage to Prince Charles resembled picture-perfect, there was always this other woman who made things hard for the young princess and who reminded her over and over again how unhappy she was with the union. That woman, of course, is Prince Charles’ current wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Diana Spencer met Charles back in 1980, and a year later, the two announced their engagement. However, it looked like his heart belonged to Camilla from the beginning and Charles was “forced” to get married.

According to Prince Charles’ authorized biography, as quoted by Town & Country, his affair with Camilla started in 1986, just a few years after he tied the knot. Camilla was also married at the time.

Allegedly, Diana couldn’t put up pretending she didn’t know what was going on behind her back, so she confronted Camilla in 1898.

“I know what’s going on between you and Charles and I just want you to know that,” Diana told her biographer Andrew Morton.

“She said to me: ‘You’ve got everything you ever wanted. You’ve got all the men in the world fall in love with you and you’ve got two beautiful children, what more do you want?’ So I said, ‘I want my husband’. And I said, ‘I’m sorry I’m in the way … and it must be hell for both of you. But I do know what’s going on. Don’t treat me like an idiot.’”

Former royal security guard Ken Wharfe exposed on Robert Jobson’s Royal Podcast that Diana was well aware of the affair and it was something she learned to “live with,” as reported by MamaMia.

Diana and Charles announced they were splitting in 1992, and their divorce was finalized in 1996. She was allowed to retain her “Princess of Wales” title, but gave up her title of “Royal Highness.”

Besides Diana and the Britons, another person who didn’t approve of Charles’ relationship with Camilla was Queen Elizabeth. She was very angry at her son for having an affair and even angrier with Camilla, who was the reason he divorced Diana.

According to author and journalist Tom Bower, The Queen avoided meeting Camilla or even being at the same place as her for many years. That was the reason why she missed the birthday celebration of Charles’ 50th birthday.

“For years, both the Queen and her mother had refused to have anything to do with Charles’ mistress,” Bower said in 2018.

“Not only did they not want her present at any royal function, either formal or informal; they actively disapproved of her, and of Charles’ relationship with her.”

Bower revealed that Charles couldn’t stand his girlfriend to be treated with such disrespect so he confronted his mother.

“He asked that she soften her antagonism so he could live openly with Camilla,” he said. “His hope was that the Queen, who rarely interfered, would at least not directly forbid it.

“But on that evening she’d had several martinis, and to Charles’ surprise, she replied forcefully: she would not condone his adultery, nor forgive Camilla for not leaving Charles alone to allow his marriage to recover. [Queen Elizabeth] vented her anger that he had lied about his relationship with what she called ‘that wicked woman,’ and added: ‘I want nothing to do with her.’”

Apparently, that made Charles angry and he was left in tears.

As it looked like Queen Elizabeth would never approve of Charles and Camilla’s relationship, everyone became aware that things could change when she attended the 60th birthday party of the King of Greece although she was aware Camilla would be there.

Over time, everyone understood that there was nothing to be done and that what Charles and Camilla had was truly something special.

They got married in 2005 and are still going strong. As for The Queen, she and her daughter-in-law are now in good terms, and even more than that.

“Those two ladies [Camilla and Sophie, Countess of Wessex], the Queen absolutely adores them,” Royal expert Howard Hodgson told Express.

“The Queen gets on very well with Camilla. She didn’t really understand, and was probably guilty of believing what she might not have read, but had been told.”

‘She had a broken arm, sores. She was in over 5 homes in 6 weeks’ – Woman adopts sisters to keep them together

It takes a big heart to give struggling children a home to call their own.

Kim Lacefield, a mom of three, always knew she wanted to adopt a child who didn’t have a family. He husband is a pastor and they know just how much it would mean for a child without anyone to take care of to feel safe and loved.

One day, Kim received a call that changed her life forever. Police officers told her that three ‘God children’ needed a home badly. Kim was confused at first, but the officers explained that the mom of the children was part of the church where Kim’s husband worked.

Without giving it a second thought, she agreed to take the boys in for as long as they needed.

“Thirty minutes later, I had three little faces at my door. They had no clothes other than what was on their back, no toothbrush, no blanket or favorite pillow,” Kim shared with Love What Matters about the first encounter with the boys aged 6, 8, and 10.

The following day, the older children reunited with their father and the 6-year-old stayed with Kim’s family for little over a year.

“Oh, how I loved him. I knew he had a dad who had just been released from prison and he loved his son. I helped him get his son back. I know that might seem strange for some, but the best gift you can give a child is a healthy bio parent who loves them and wants them. If anyone deserved a second chance, it was this father, who was holding a job down and willing to drive 10 hours for his visits.”

Having these children in her home opened new horizons for this mother. She knew she could do the same for other kids in similar position.

A few days after the boy got reunited with his dad, Kim got a call about a 5-year-old girl.

“Later that day, she walked into my house with a trash bag with her clothes in it. I had to take it back outside and leave on the porch. She had head lice, body lice, and pinworms. She had come from a dirty foster home where she said she was made to lay on the floor. In fact, she had been in over five homes in 6 weeks.”

It took some time before Kim was able to get to the girl who refused to communicate. When she started school, the teachers were worried because she was behind her peers. “It wasn’t long before I was getting calls from the school asking me what was going on. She was in first grade and couldn’t trace the letter ‘L.’ She would mess in her pants and wouldn’t change them,” Kim explained.

Both Kim and the girl’s teacher went the extra mile to help the little one get on track. After a year at school, the girl showed incredible progress and was even dubbed a “miracle child.”

“Teachers and school social workers couldn’t believe how far she came in a year. A lot of kids who come into care are 5 or more years emotionally behind their actual age,” Kim said.

Kim was over the moon she gave the girl a new lease on life.

Days passed by and Kim got a call about the girl’s 2-year-old sister. Not wanting the siblings to be raised in different families, she agreed to take this other girl too.

“She had been living with a relative. She had a broken arm and big sores on her skin. She came to me during the day while her sister was at school,” Kim recalled.

“She seemed so scared but after a while, she looked up at my wall of pictures and said, ‘Addy.’ That was her sister she recognized. I will never forget that moment. It has made me passionate about keeping sibling groups together.”

A year later, the girls’ biological mom signed her rights over to Kim and her husband. She couldn’t take care of her daughters because she was in and out of rehab most of the time. But she loved them and wanted to be involved in their lives so Kim offered her to visit her daughters whenever she wanted. Eventually, the mother decided to give her daughters up for adoption and they officially became part of Kim’s family.

“Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to adopt. The thought of kids not being loved caused sleepless nights even as a child,” Kim said.

“The courts made it happen and both girls were adopted last week on (on the younger sister’s) seventh birthday, 5 years after coming to me with her broken arm.”

Although they now have five daughters, Kim and her husband’s home is always filled with kids because whenever they hear of a child no one wants to foster, they step in.

“I hear this a lot, ‘I could never do what you do, I would get too attached.’ My response to that is, ‘That’s what the kids need. If you don’t get attached, then you are doing it wrong.’ Kids deserve love. It is better for me to hurt than them to keep being hurt.”

Mom gives birth to a healthy baby boy, but then doctor sees chart to notice a coincidence of 1 in 48 million

On February 6, 2018, baby Aiden was welcomed into the world. What came along with his arrival was a continuation of one stunning and faithful tradition that left the nurses in awe.

Aiden’s mom, Kyrsten Moreno, was born on the same date. Quite a coincidence, we’d say, but what is even more incredible is that Kyrsten’s mom, Aiden’s grandma, was born on February 6 as well. That made the sweet baby boy the third person in their southwest suburban family’s home to be welcomed on that same date.

When Dr. Diane Leonard noticed that these mother and son share the same birthday, she felt it was a great thing, but when they told her about the grandmother, she realized that she had never heard of something like that before. It was a reason for a huge celebration, so she and the nurses bought a cake and sang “Happy Birthday”

It turns out that the chances of a child, parent, and a grandparent to be born on the same date is one in 48 million.

CBS Chicago got in touch with Kyrsten who was still at the hospital and asked her for a comment. The thrilled mother said that she felt like this was a payback for all the birthdays she stole from her mother when she was a child.

“Well, I definitely stole it from my mom,” she said jokingly. “So I have a feeling this is my payback.”

“I’m like, there’s no way he’s going to be born on my birthday,” Kyrsten added.

As for the grandma, Nadine, she believes nothing is a coincidence, “I think it was meant to be,” she said.

Ex-teacher goes off on parents who ‘coddle and enable’ their rude and disrespectful children

When it comes to teaching, many people say how teachers have it easy only because they get to spend a couple of months off during the summer. But no one really speaks of the fact that they are underpaid and that their job is really demanding. After all, they help shape the students into the adults they become and do their best to prepare them for the world that awaits them after they graduate.

So whenever you have difficulties making your child behave, just imagine how teachers have around 20 and even more kids in their classroom that they have to put up with every single day.

Julie Marburger, a sixth-grade teacher at Cedar Creek Intermediate School in Texas had it enough from all the kids who weren’t taught proper behavior by their parents and made her lessons a real hell. She’s now sharing what she experienced during those two years she spent teaching and says how she considers quitting the school and being a teacher in general.

In a post she shared on Facebook and vent viral, she wrote, “Parents have become far too disrespectful, and their children are even worse. One parent today thought it was wrong of me to hold her son accountable for his behavior and decided to very rudely tell me so, in front of her son.”

Marburger shared photos of some of the things the misbehaving students do on a daily basis. They don’t respect neither the school’s, nor their teachers’ belongings. The photos showed torn books, destroyed electronics, and even a chewing gum stuck on a window sill.

“Keep in mind that many of the items damaged or destroyed by my students are my personal possessions or I purchased myself, because I have NO classroom budget,” she wrote. “I have finally had enough of the disregard for personal and school property and am drawing a line in the sand on a myriad of behaviors that I am through tolerating.”

She also said that neither her students nor their parents care for all the missed assignment.

She ended her post with a message she wants the parents to hear.

“People absolutely HAVE to stop coddling and enabling their children,” she stated. “It’s not fair to society, and more importantly, is not fair to the children to teach them this is okay. It will not serve them towards a successful and happy life.”

“Any passion for this work I once had has been wrung completely out of me. Maybe I can be the voice of reason. THIS HAS TO STOP!”

Marburger has later deleted the post and the photos, but it was already seen by more than 350,000 people who took their time to share it and comment on it. Most of them said how she had all the right to be mad and frustrated because children really are crazily spoiled by their moms and dads.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think parents should be more strict?

Teen is about to start his performance on stage when Simon Cowell tells him to take a look at the crowd and see who is there to cheer for him

Britain’s Got Talent is the show we always go back to when we are in the mood of having some fun time. Fierce competition, people with incredible inner talent for music, dancing, performing, and more, and touching life stories are just some of the things this show brings.

Over the years, we witnessed many stars being born on the stage of BGT.

Out of all the judges, Simon Cowell is considered the strictest. His comments are often brutally honest and that is the reason not everyone is fond of him. The truth is that he’s a real softie who has helped many people succeed.

One of the episodes of Britain’s Got Talent featured a young man named Reuben Gray. He was eager to take the stage and show the world how talented he was. When he introduced himself, he explained that his mom and his girlfriend were there to support him. However, when Simon asked him who he thought his biggest fan was, Reuben answered it was his dad who couldn’t be there that night because he was way too busy working.

In the next moment, Simon asked the contestant to find his mom in the audience, and that’s when Reuben’s father stood up and waived to his son. Needless to say, Reuben couldn’t believe his eyes. He was overjoyed to see his dad among the crowd.

“No, I had no idea, it totally shocked me,” Reuben later said in an interview.

It was a very touching moment. The video of it has been seen more than 22 million times. You can see it below.

Ship docks at a deserted island and a skeletal dog starts running towards it

David Foster was a passenger on the boat that cruised along the Amazon River. He expected to see nice things while on board, but what he got to spot on the deserted island where the boat docked left him in complete shock.

There was a dog running towards him that resembled a skeleton. He just couldn’t believe his eyes as there was no way for a dog to be able to end up there, unless it was left on purpose, probably to die.

Play For Strays

He didn’t hesitate even a bit before taking the poor creature on the boat. The animal was quiet and friendly and ate some of the food David had to offer.

Play For Strays

This kind man was determined to get the dog home with him despite some of the passenger didn’t like it on the boat.

At one moment, David could hear the engines and that’s when he realized that Negrita ran away. He pleaded the boat owner to help him get her back, and he agreed. Luckily, he found her waiting at the shore.

As they continued their trip and got to on the main cites of the river, David got out looking for someone who could take care of the dog for a while. Luckily, he stumbled upon a woman who could speak English and asked her whether she could keep the dog until he gets back to take her with him. After hearing the incredible rescue story, the woman said yes, and David now had to find a way to return and get Negrita to her new home.

Play For Strays

It took David five months to arrange a trip to where he left his dog. But once with him, Negrita was completely transformed and didn’t resemble the starved animal any longer.

Negrita is now happy and gets to spend her days surrounded by people who love her to the moon and back. She definitely loves Northern Ireland way more than that secluded place.

Thanks to people like David, this world is a better place for our furry palls.

Mom has perfect response to text about daughter’s boyfriend

That racism is still present is a sad, but undeniable fact. But whether or not it will continue growing or will hopefully vanish over time is something that depends on all of us.

One mom from Houston, Mississippi, named Heather Boyer is showing us how we should all deal with rude racist people who are sticking their nose in other peoples’ business.

Kennedy, Boyer’s daughter, shared a cute photo of her and her boyfriend on Facebook. But then her mom got an upsetting message from one of her friends.

She said, “Today my daughter changed her profile picture. After maybe 5 minutes I get a text… ‘I didn’t know she was dating a black boy, did you?’”

Boyer realized how the people around her somehow expected that she had a problem with her daughter’s choice only because they were of different race.

Luckily, this mom won’t ever judge anyone by the color of their skin. What she wanted was for her girl to be loved and appreciated by the man by her side, no matter if he was black or white.

Boyer just couldn’t stop thinking about the message she received and she was outraged knowing there are still individuals out there who would judge an interracial relationship.

She could just choose not to answer back and ignore the rude question, but instead, she decided to speak up and teach those ignorant people a lesson. She did respond, but she did it publicly so that everyone knew how she felt about her daughter’s boyfriend.

“Yes in fact I did know, but the color of his skin doesn’t define who he is. What does define who is he is how he treats my daughter. I see my daughter dating a boy that comes to my house and shows me nothing but respect (a big deal in my book).”

She believed someone should really tell people what is in a relationship that matters, so she continued saying,

“I see my daughter dating a boy who takes her to church with him. Every Sunday. He plays in the band, she sits with his family. How many young men these days make church a priority? None of the others have. He doesn’t hit her, cuss her, lie to her, or make her cry. Would I rather her date a white boy that did, to keep from her dating another race? Absolutely not.”

More than 1.3 million people have reacted on Boyer’s post. There were thousands of comments too, most of which praised this woman for what she had to write.

She added how true love is hard to find these days and her daughter is lucky to be with someone who treats her the way she deserves, like a queen.

“And I know people have their own opinion, but at the end of the day, the fact that my daughter has someone that loves her and treats her like a queen makes me happy. That’s something I’ve never had in my life and I’m glad she does.”

Everyone agreed how Boyle nailed it at parenting. She’s kind and supportive and won’t let anyone attack her daughter for being in love.

We guess that the person who dared to sent Boyle the text in the first place is now ashamed of themselves. And yes, this is also a lesson for anyone who would ever think of asking such rude and racist questions.

Man rescues puppy stuck in the mud but finds it’s no puppy at all

Animal rescue stories are my favorite because they remind me that people still care for all those creatures in need of help.

A 67-year-old bird watcher and a huge animal lover named Ian Ellis was outside in the nature trying to spot some new and unique birds, but instead, he spotted a strange animal resembling a tiny puppy stuck in the mud. A herd of cows surrounded the poor creature and Ellis knew he had to step in and take the animal out.

Source: On Demand News/YouTube

Rescuing the animal wasn’t easy, of course, because he was supposed to get close to all those cows that were staring at the helpless creature.

However, as he knew the time was running out, Ellis approached the animal. To his surprise, it wasn’t a puppy, but an abandoned baby seal.

Ellis, who didn’t know what to do next, called Skegness Natureland Seal Sanctuary and asked for help. They advised him to rush the baby seal to the sanctuary hospital. Once there, the little one received a medical treatment because she wasn’t feeling well and was dehydrated and lethargic.

Source: On Demand News/YouTube

Although no one knew for sure how the sweet animal, now named Celebration, ended up into the mud, they believed she was taken to the ground by a tide and got stuck once the water went back in.

Celebration got to be surrounded by a bunch of other seals and once she was completely healed and gained weight, she was taken back into the wild.

Bindi Irwin poses alongside photo of Steve Irwin for daughter’s 1st birthday

It’s been almost 16 years since one of the greatest conservationists in the world, Steve Irwin, passed away. His love for the different animals was enormous. He introduced many species to the wide public and always spoke of the natural world with much affection. What’s most, he passed on that love to his children who followed into their dad’s footsteps and are keeping his legacy alive.

Last year, Steve’s daughter, Bindi, welcomed baby daughter Grace Warrior into her life. Since the very first months of her life, Grace got to be around different animals. As mom Bindi shared photos of those first encounters, people were happy that the girl has been taught to love animals from such young age.

Recently, Grace turned 1 year old and the family organized a birthday celebration. One thing that caught the attention of many was the photo of late Steve Irwin the family posed next to.

“Happy Birthday to my graceful warrior,” Bindi wrote on Instagram. “One year of watching your beautiful heart bloom into the most extraordinary person. Grace, you have been an old soul from the very beginning. It is the greatest blessing to be your mama. I love you eternally, unconditionally and infinitely.”

Grandma Terry shared her joy of being a grandmother to Grace. “Today is Grace Warrior’s first birthday,” Steve’s widow wrote. “I am amazed every day when I see her determination, curiosity, and depth of love. There is a wise old soul behind her eyes, and I am very privileged to be her grandmother.”

We are sure grandpa Steve is looking down on Grace from heaven and is proud of her and of the people his children have become.

Happy birthday, Grace Warrior. We wish you all the happiness and joy in the world.

Remember Grace Jones? Better sit down before you see her today, at 73

Always ahead of her time, actress, model, musician, and above all a style icon who stirred the world of fashion numerous times throughout the years, Grace Jones remains until this day someone we all admire. Being 73 doesn’t prevent this unique woman from living her life to the fullest, something many envy her for.

Born in Jamaica and raised in upstate New York, Jones has never failed at stunning the world, whether it’s been because of her music, her fearlessness, or her decision to shave her head and brows at one point of her life wanting to “look more abstract, less tied to a specific race or sex or tribe,” as per her own words shared with Vogue.

Jones’ family was extremely religious and she was expected to live following strict rules, something her rebellious spirit didn’t allow her.

“I hated my dad; he was so strict. But now I love him because they didn’t make him bishop for a long time because of me,” she once shared with The Guardian.

“There was an article in Ebony magazine about me with a photograph of the family around the piano. My dad wasn’t in it, but the fact that it was released in a magazine… he was supposed to cut me off, like in the Bible it says, ‘If your right arm offends, you cut it off.’ He said, ‘I don’t care; I support my daughter.’ But it held him back.’”

Shutterstock/Bart Sherkow

Being influenced by her mother, Jones showed passion for fashion and was great at designing her own clothes from very early age.

“I got a lot of my style from my mom, to be honest. We were all sewing, making designer clothes when we were teenagers,” she told Interview Magazine.

“And I was crocheting since I could pick up a crochet needle. My mom was a really good seamstress, so she used to make all these designer things.

“We never bought clothes off the rack. Everything was original. I believe that influenced me a lot. We had to pick out our own buttons, threads, our own fabrics. There are a lot of details in making your own stuff.”

Never afraid to show her body and her sexual power, Jones turned to modeling. She didn’t see it as her career initially and only did it in order to make money for her rent, but her unique appearance attracted the attention of numerous modeling agencies, so soon enough, she found herself sharing an apartment with two other models in the capital of the fashion world, Paris.

She was the life of the parties at the famous Studio 54 and turned to music after model Pat Cleveland heard her singing and told her she was extremely talented.

“I’d say, ‘Grace, you need to sing, honey,’” Cleveland told Marie Claire. “She’d say, ‘Well, if you sing with me,’ So I started singing with her. But then, when she finally got a producer and invited me into the studio to sing, I had to say, “No, Grace, this is your thing.’”

“You don’t get to stay famous for long unless you’re always switching,” Andy Warhol was said to have written in his diary. “Grace Jones is an example of this.”

Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images

Speaking of Warhol, he and Jones were very close friends.

“Andy was very quiet. He talked softly. I’d never ever hear him raise his voice or anything like that. I think he liked watching me. He was more of an observer, and he felt comfortable with me. I don’t know why, but he did feel really comfortable together with me,” Jones told Interview Magazine.

“He would just give me advice, things like, I’d say I don’t like signing autographs, and sometimes we’d be out, and people would come for an autograph, and I’d just be like, ‘No, I don’t really wanna sign an autograph,’ and he’d just say, ‘Oh Grace, it’ll make them happy, you make them feel good when you do it.’ So I said, ‘Why am I doing that?’ It didn’t make sense to me. This was Andy helping me realize that it’s better to do it than not to do it.”

In 1977, Grace signed a record contract with British label Island and that was the start of her long and successful music career she would always turn to again and again. In 1984, Jones was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Video Album for her long-form music video collection, A One Man Show.

One incident which made her the center of attention back in the day was Jones’ appearance on Russell Harty’s talk show. The script was pre-planed and rehearsed beforehand, but the audience changed the atmosphere once they went live and the show ended up with Jones slapping Harty multiple times. Apparently, she was ignored and that made her feel uncomfortable and that was the reason for the scandalous outcome.

Although she made a name for herself as an established musician, Jones eventually turned to acting and landed the role of Zula in Conan the Barbarian.

One thing led to another, and after a number of successful films, Jones got the role of May Day in the James Bond movie A View to a Kill, in which she starred alongside legendary Bond actor Roger Moore.

One thing she was known for was that she never performed unless she was paid beforehand. One time, she was supposed to perform at a show organized by LG Electronics, but as they failed to provide her with the money, she stood them up. That story is one of the most scandalous ones.

“I am ready for action. The champagne is flowing, the oysters slipping down nicely. Again, though, no money, and it is a Saturday. They are begging me. ‘We will have the money on Monday.’ No, I am not moving until I’m paid. I won’t even leave the hotel and go to the venue because there is too much pressure once you arrive,” Jones wrote in her autobiography, I’ll Never Write My Memoirs.

“We say, ‘Well, give us all your jewelry and watches, your Rolexes, as a deposit. We’ll keep them in the safe until I get paid.’ They do not want to do that. They get increasingly desperate. Finally, after a couple of hours with me not budging and everyone trying to come up with a solution, they called with an idea for a deposit for the weekend until they could get the cash on Monday.

“They say, ‘We have an employee who has a baby she is prepared to offer as security. We have a baby! You can keep the baby until we bring you the money.’ The baby is the most outrageous story of them all. I didn’t take the baby. They couldn’t get the money. I didn’t do the show.”

Not surprisingly, the now 73-year-old actress, performer, and model, looks as stunning as always. She says she wants to be remembered as someone who made people happy.

This icon is reported to have a net worth of around $7 million.

World’s longest surviving conjoined twins, Ronnie and Donnie, die at 68

A year ago, Ronnie and Donnie Galyon, the oldest conjoined twins died at 68.

When their parents learned they were expecting twins, they were over the moon. Little did they know, however, that their boys were not ordinary. When they were welcomed into the world on October 28, 1951, Ronnie and Donnie’s mom and dad were shocked to see their babies were conjoined.

Unfortunately, a surgery to separate them was way too risky, and the parents decided against it. Shortly after, their mom decided she didn’t want to take care of them and the two brothers were raised by their father, Wesly, and their stepmom, Marry.

Following their 63rd birthday, in 2014, Ronnie and Donnie were awarded the title oldest living conjoined twins by the Guinness World Record. With that, their dream came true, as they always wanted their names to be written in that book. “It’s what me and Donnie’s always dreamed about, and we hope to get the ring, because we’ve dreamed about getting this since we were kids,” Ronnie said in an interview back in 2014.

Unfortunately, the Galyon brothers died on July 4, 2020.

They never attended school and were the sole breadwinners in the family. They made their living performing at carnivals throughout the country. The brothers retired back in 1991 and lived together with their brother Jim after kind-hearted members of the community raised money and helped construct an addition to Jim’s house for them.

“They’ll live the rest of their days here comfortably,” Jim told Dayton Daily News in 2010, and explained how his brothers lived in a tiny apartment in the city before they moved in with him. “They’re definitely happier. They’re definitely more at peace.”

Ronnie and Donnie lived their lives to the fullest. They didn’t have any regrets and were happy with their brother and the little circle of friends they made throughout the years.

“We had fun when we were growing up,” Ronnie said, as per the Daily Mail. “We’ve had a nice life,” Donnie was reported to had added.

Rest in peace.

Lady Gaga and Liza Minnelli share sweet exchange during Oscars ceremony: ‘I got you’

Two huge stars in their own right, Lady Gaga and Liza Minnelli, capped off last night’s Oscars ceremony when they presented the Oscar for Best Picture. When they took the stage, they received standing ovations. Then, Lady gaga turned to Minnelli, took her hand and said “Do you see that? The public, they love you.”

The presence of Minnelli, who is 76 and wheelchair-bound, brought joy to many and elicited an outpouring on social media, with many people saying that her being on stage represents “a powerful moment of inclusivity.”

Lady Gaga acknowledged Minnelli by announcing that the actress was celebrating the 50th anniversary of Cabaret, for which she won an Oscar for Best Actress in 1972.

Holding the cue cads in her hands, Minnelli stumbled with her words, but Lady Gaga got closer to her and said “I got you,” to what Minnelli replied, “I know, thank you.”

This exchange melted millions of hearts. Many said it was the highlight of the night, and we can’t agree more.

Following the announcement for the nominees, Minnelli turned to Lady Gaga, and told her she was happy to be there as she was her biggest fan.

Couple adopts 3 biological brothers under 4 so they can grow up together

In life, not everyone is lucky enough to be part of a family that will teach them what love and security are. Many kids are part of dysfunctional surroundings and never get to experience parental love.

Three brothers Joey, 3, Logan, 2, and Noah, 1, found themselves looking for a forever home. The chances were that they would end up in three different families and that would mean they wouldn’t be given the chance to grow up by each other’s side.

However, things turned for the best for these young boys and they were all adopted by the same family. Their story is an example that miracles do happen, and theirs took place just before Christmas.

KC and Lena Currie of Sudbury, Massachusetts, adopted Joey around a year ago after they met him at an event sponsored by Children’s Friend.

“We saw a picture of Joey and Children’s Friend mentioned [it] would be a good match,” Lena explained. “He was 18 months old at the time.”

Joey was a loving little boy who settled in with his new family just perfectly. Although they didn’t really consider adopting another child, the Curries got a call from Children’s Friend and were told how Joey had a little brother who was six weeks old. Sweet Noah needed a home, and both KC and Lena knew his place was right beside his brother’s. Soon after, Noah was legally adopted and part of the family.

Some time later, the family learned of the third brother, Logan. They were told how he was supposed to be adopted, but something turned wrong and he was again looking for a family.

Was it a sign that they should adopt him, too? Well, the Curries believed exactly that and now the siblings were together, under one roof.

“It was our gut feeling,” KC told GMA. “We were going to end up saying yes because keeping the brothers together was really important to us. When they’re older and have questions, they’ll have each other to lean on and experience that ride together.”

Looking after three kids under the age of 4 isn’t easy, but KC and Lena are more than willing to do all in their power to be the perfect parents to their boys.

“It’s the first year and first holiday where it’s all permanent and true,” Lena said.

“Now we can start dreaming about grade school, sports, and all those fun things,” added KC.

This story is both touching and inspiring and exactly what we needed to hear during the most wonderful time of the year.

College student is kidnapped by men in parking lot, then remembers 1 life-saving tip mom taught her

One 20-year-old University of South Carolina student is sharing her incredible story of how she escaped from kidnappers thanks to advice her mom once gave her.

It all happened as the young woman, Jordan, was going to her student apartment building after finishing work as around 1 a.m.

As she approached the place, three men suddenly approached her and took her possessions. To make things even worse and way scarier, they pointed a gun at her.

As they tried stealing her car, they realized they couldn’t operate it because it was a stick shift, and that’s when the real hell happened. Two of the men forcefully put Jordan in the car and forced her to drive them to the gas station. The third man ran away.

The men, who were later identified as teenagers, told Jordan to withdraw money from the ATM machine. They also told her they were going to violate her. That’s when the brave woman decided to take action inspired by a story her mom once told her.

Speaking to WCBD News2, Jordan, who’s a criminal justice major said:

“I thought back to my mom. She was almost a victim of assault when she was in college, and she fought back and fought the man off, and I thought you know, I’m going to be strong like my mom, I’m going to get myself out of this.”

Jordan’s mother, Beth Turner, always taught her daughter to be brave. She wisely advised her to be strong and fight back if she ever found herself in a similar situation.

According to ABC News 4, Jordan said:

“My mom always told me, you know, don’t let them get you alone, because then you have no help, you have no hope for passerby’s to see you or hear you, and you have no help to get out.”

After withdrawing the money from the ATM, Jordan started planning her escape. Once she entered the car again, she didn’t put the seat belt on, so she jumped out of the moving vehicle.

“I just kind of thought in my head, ‘Do it, do it, do it,’ and then the next thing I know, my hands were on the handle, I was opening the door and I was staring at the pavement,” Jordan explained.

As soon as she jumped out of the car, Jordan tried signaling moving cars to stop and help her. Two drivers passed by without stopping, but the third was kind enough to pull over.

According to ABC News 4, the college student told reporters:

“They were in a moving vehicle, without a driver, and a 20-year-old girl just outsmarted you. I wish I could’ve seen their faces at that moment, so that they knew that I might have been a victim, but I was not victimized.”

After the incident, the two teens got arrested. They were well known to the police as they had been involved with a number of other crimes at the area.
