Son is dying after a car accident – then dad discovers who the doctor really is

0

The truth is that it is in humans’ nature to judge others without being aware of what they are going through and what problems they are facing in life. Often times, we forget that every person has their own issues so we fail to show sympathy.

The following story is a poignant example that we should never jump into conclusions without seeing the big picture and trying to walk a mile in the shoes of the person we dare to judge.

A doctor was called to perform an urgent surgery on a young boy.

The doctor answered the call and came to the hospital as soon as he could. He changed his clothes and rushed towards the surgery block when the father of the boy, who was anxiously pacing in the hall and was waiting for the doctor, said: “Why did you take all this time to come? Don’t you know that my son’s life is in danger? Don’t you have any sense of responsibility?”

The doctor with a calm voice: “I am sorry, I wasn’t in the hospital and I came as fast as I could after receiving the call and now, I wish you’d calm down so that I can do my work.”

“Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If your own son dies while waiting for doctor than what will you do??” said the father angrily.  The doctor smiled and replied, “We will do our best by God’s grace and you should also pray for your son’s healthy life”.

“Giving advice when we’re not concerned is so easy,” murmured the father.

After a couple of hours, the doctor got out and told the boy’s father: “Thank goodness! your son is saved!”

As he left the hospital, he added: “If you have any questions, ask the nurse”.

Instead of thanking him for saving his son’s life, the father was angry because the doctor didn’t stay to answer some questions himself. “Why is he so arrogant? He couldn’t wait some minutes so that I ask about my son’s state?” the father commented.

The nurse then answered, while tears came down her face, “His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was at the burial when we called him for your son’s surgery. And now that he saved your son’s life, he left running to finish his son’s burial.”

This story emerged on Facebook and we don’t know if it is based on true events or not, but one thing is certain, it rings true in one significant way: when upset, we are quick to lash out at others.

We should never forget to treat everyone with respect, especially doctors an nurses, who help save many lives even when they are going through difficult times themselves.

Tiger Woods’ son Charlie is 12 years old and looks a lot like his dad

0

A huge number of celeb marriages end up in divorce eventually. Whether it is because most celebrities have a hard time handling their fame or because their schedules are always tight and they don’t have enough time to spend together, it never comes as a surprise when these relationships broke down. In fact, for most, it’s just a matter of time when they will announce they are splitting.

Tiger Woods, one of the most famous golfers there are, was married to beautiful Elin Nordegren. The two were introduced by Swedish professional golfer Jesper Parnevik and his wife while Nordegren worked for them as their children’s nanny.

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren have two children together, daughter Sam Alexis Woods and son Charlie Axel Woods.

Their marriage seemed picture-perfect, but back in 2009, the same year Charlie was born, the media exposed Wood’s extramarital affairs and the marriage simply broke.

They finalized their divorce in 2010 and Nordegren ended up receiving $100,000 and additional monthly child support of $20,000. She also received the Windermere, Florida home.

Despite cheating on her, Nordegren only had great things to say about her former husband. In an interview with People, she said in 2010, “I wish him all the best in the future, as a person and as an athlete. I know he is going to go down as the best golfer that ever lived, and rightfully so, I feel privileged to have witnessed a part of his golfing career.”

While she was still married to Woods, the Swedish beauty never gave any interviews.

“My plan was to just stay the way I was,” she explained in 2010. “For my kids, I felt that remaining private was the only normalcy. I could give them since they have a very famous dad. But after everything that happened and everything that was written and speculated — what I did or didn’t do — I felt like setting some things straight.

“I’m so embarrassed that I never suspected — not a one,” she added. “For the last 3 1/2 years, when all this was going on, I was home a lot more with pregnancies, then the children and my school.”

Regardless of their disagreements as a couple, Woods and Nordegren agreed to have a civil relationship for the sake of their children.

Their son Charlie Axel showed love for golf from early age. Well, he had the best person in the sport to look up to.

He won second place in the Kids Golf South Florida Tour in West Palm Beach, Florida, when he was just 7. Of course, Woods has always been very supportive of his son. What’s most, he even carries Charlie’s clubs around the course, as per Golf Digest.

They often play against each other.

“I’m still winning…for now. He’s starting to get into it. He’s starting to understand how to play, he’s asking me the right questions,” Woods told Golf Digest. “I’ve kept it competitive with his par, so it’s been just an absolute blast to go out there and just be with him. It reminds me so much of me and my dad [growing up].

“I don’t know [if Charlie can break some of my records]. It depends how bad he wants it. It’s all on him. I wanted it at a very, very early age. I wanted to compete and play in this game. That’s on him—whether he wants it or not.”

Source: Youtube/PGA

Of course, Woods doesn’t pressure Charlie on playing golf just because he is a golfer himself.

“It’s just an evolution. Like all kids, they go from one thing to the next. Right now, he’s into golf. But who knows, it could switch to something else. As long as he’s happy, he’s excited about whatever sport he’s in,” Woods told Golf Digest.

A lot of other children who enjoy playing golf were forced to stop playing and competing because of the pandemic, but Charlie is one of the lucky ones for having the world’s best golfer as a father so the two spent a lot of time practicing and competing in their backyard while in isolation.

In December of 2020, Woods and Charlie got to attend a competition together. They played in the exhibition tournament PNC Championship at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, where a number of stars played alongside a parent or a child. The father and son played against PGA golf star Justin Thomas and his father and won.

“You’re so much better than your dad, it hurts,” Justin told Charlie.

Now that’s obvious Charlie is following into his father’s footsteps, Tiger Woods believes it is important not to expose his son to the media a lot. In fact, Woods is doing all in his power to keep 12-year-old Charlie out of the spotlight, mostly because he’s still too young to be getting much attention.

“Trying to make sure that Charlie has the right environment. He’s sheltered, he’s away from all of this,” Woods told Gold Digest. “What I have to do—making sure I do all of it, so he can practice and play, and enjoy the golf side of it. I’ll take care of all this stuff.

“A lot of people are trying to use him to build up, or write, or talk about things. Just making sure he’s able to have fun playing the game of golf.”

Witnessing just how dedicated he is to this game, we are sure Charlie will reach his father’s fame in the near future.

911 operator gets call from frantic boy hiding with little sister in bathroom – but it’s his actions that stun everyone

0

When we imagine ourselves in a dire situation, we think we’d bold and courageous to take action, but the truth is that most of the time all reason goes out the window.

But what happened here is not the same case at all, and we’re taking about a 7-year-old boy who didn’t hesitate to gather his courage and save his parents when three armed men forced their way into the family’s house.

Carlos, the little boy, was of course terrified of the sight of his parents being threatened by the assailants, so he ran to the bathroom with his little sister and what he did there has now been getting praise from people all over the net.

Thanks to his mom, who taught him emergency scenarios, the youngster knew exactly what to do. While the attackers kept harassing the parents, Carlos quickly dialed 911.

Carlos said: “There’s some guys! They’re going to kill my mom and dad, can you come please. … Can you come really fast? PLEASE, PLEASE.”

Los Angeles County sheriff’s dispatcher Monique Patino was the one who received Carlos’ call, she later said that every help call is different but this one was “horrific”.

Carlos told Monique that the strangers had guns and were going to shoot his mom and dad. “Bring cops … lots of them!” he begged.

Monique could hear the little sister crying, she tried to keep Carlos calm, reassuring him that the police are on the way, but then things took a horrible turn when Monique suddenly heard the screams of the two little kids.

Monique recalled: “Once I heard the screams, I’m holding the phone and shaking, in tears. All I can hear is them screaming.”

The armed assailants heard sounds coming from the bathroom and quickly realized that there’s someone else hiding there, the broke down the door and there they discovered Carlos and his little sister, they demanded to know who they had been speaking to.

7-year-old Carlos bravely told them that he’d called the police and they would arrive in any moment, causing the men to do something totally unexpected.

Listen to the dramatic events unfold in the video below:

Carlos is a brave little boy, his quick smart reaction saved all his family members

Sir Tom Jones opens up about his marriage and love life after his wife’s passing

0

The life of Sir Tom Jones, the music icon behind the hits Delilah, Sexbomb and What’s New Pussycat among the rest, has always been interesting for the fans and the journalists. Over the years, many stories of infidelity have been related to him, but despite all that, his beloved wife of 59 years had always been ‘his lady.’

Linda Trenchard and Sir Tom Jones, who was knighted by Her Majesty, the Queen, married when they were both just 16 years old and stayed in love during their whole lives. Sadly, Linda died of cancer in April 2016, and the musician said that he will never love another woman ever again.

Shutterstock

Sir Jones canceled all his concert after Linda’s “short but fierce” battle with lung cancer. In fact, he had a hard time coping with the reality and couldn’t gather any strength to sing long after the loss. He opened up about their love and their marriage and even said at one point how he blamed himself for her death.

He spoke of Linda’s favorite song, Bob Dylan’s What Good Am I?, and explained how he couldn’t stop reading the lyrics over and over again and thought, “Jesus Christ, was I partly to blame? Should I have woken up before? You start to think: ‘What if I had forced her to go to the doctors?’ Because she didn’t go.”

Sir Jones shared the sad news with his fans and wrote, “Surrounded by her husband and loved ones, she passed away peacefully.”

“When my wife passed away, I didn’t think I could sing,” Sir Jones explained. “When you’re emotional, you can’t sing, your voice closes up.

“There are certain songs I wouldn’t do. But you have to try and get things in the right perspective. Feeling emotional; use it to your advantage and put it into the song.”

He, however, wanted to fulfill one of her wishes and moved to London after her death. Linda always wanted to get back to her roots and move to England again, so her husband sold their mansion in LA because he knew it was something she wanted.

“She always said she wanted to come back and then she could not do it, so then she told me to do it in the last week she was alive.”

The couple had one son, Mark Woodward, but Sir Jones had another son on his own, with a woman he had an affair with. Apparently, he loved his wife unconditionally but when it came to his tours all around the country and the world, they had this “don’t ask” policy. No one really knew what Linda thought of her husband’s secret life and all those affairs.

The sex symbol once admitted he had slept with around 250 women in a year.

Flickr

During one of his tours in the US, back in 1987, Sir Jones had a fling with 24-year-old Katherine Berkery. She then got pregnant and claimed the music star was the father. She added how she didn’t know he was married.

Sir Jones didn’t want to accept the reality and asked for a paternity test. The following year, he learned the boy was actually his but he still didn’t want to do anything with him or his mother.

Wikipedia / Ron Kroon / Anefo

Sir Jones was forced to pay maintenance every month until his son Jonathan turned 18. The boy grew up blaming his father’s negligence for his failures in life.

“When his wife Linda passed I hoped we could finally meet and get to know each other but it didn’t happen,” Jonathan told the Sunday Mirror.

“Now I worry about him being ill. He’s old, he might pass before I get the chance to right the wrongs. I don’t want anything from my father, all I want to do is sit and talk, tell him about my life and ask about his – just normal stuff.”

”Not having a father growing up was tough. All I ever wanted was his love. People think I look and sound like a younger version of my dad”, Jonathan said when speaking of his drug addiction and spending a few years on the streets as a homeless man.

We hope this incredible singer would eventually be able to move on and find happiness once again with his family, his fans, and the people who love him.

Fifth grader finds wallet full of money – returns it back despite his family having nothing

0

Every act of kindness, no matter how big or small, always goes a long way.

Vince Hietpas is a fifth grader with a heart of gold. One day, as he and his dad Lorenzo were walking through the park, they spotted a wallet on the ground. They quickly picked it up and checked inside to see who it belonged to.

After they read the name and the address of the owner from the driver’s license, Vince found the house and rang the bell. He explained that he had found the wallet that belonged to 17-year-old Chase Dahlke. It was Chase’s dad, Jackson, who opened the door and took his son’s belongings. He had a couple of dollars and gave them to Vince for returning the wallet.

Source: YouTube/ abc

However, when Chase’s stepmom, Michelle, learned that someone as young as Vince did the right thing, she wanted to get in touch with him and his family and thank them in person for raising such an honest young man.

She posted online asking if someone knew Vince, and soon after, a friend told her they knew the family. They also explained how Vince’s father had COVID-19 and due to breathing problems and inability to wear a mask, he was left without a job.

Michelle wanted to do something nice for the family and decided to set up a GoFundMe campaign. In no time, over $9,000 were raised.

Vince was over the moon. He was praised for his kind act, but he simply said: “Doing the right thing is good.”

Mother gives birth to healthy miracle baby after suffering 19 miscarriages

0

The dream of having a big family has finally turned into a reality for parents Cary and Tim Patonai who suffered the heartbreak of 19 miscarriages before welcoming baby number three.

“Two of the miscarriages were sets of twins,” Cary told USA TODAY. “It was was traumatic for the whole family, especially our oldest child (Devlen). Each loss would break his little heart.”

Before welcoming their second son, Cary went through 17 miscarriages. Then, after Everett was born, she suffered two more before sweet Finley came to their lives.

But Finley wasn’t an ordinary baby. When doctors delivered him on October 4, he immediately turned sort of celebrity at the hospital. Everyone who heard of him was eager to see him and even take a selfie with him. If you wonder why, it’s because this cutie weighted whopping 14 pounds, 1 ounce, and was 23.75 inches long.

“The OB/GYN who performed the C-section said that in 27 years he had never seen a newborn that size. There was so much excitement in the delivery,” proud mom Cary told USA TODAY.

The couple’s other children were also quite big when they were born so Cary said jokingly, “I’m used to carrying big babies, but this was on another level.” Speaking of her pregnancy, she added, “It got to the point where I could hardly move. It would take me 30 minutes to recover from taking a shower.”

“They got him on the scale like 14.1, I’ve never seen it that big, the doctor and one of the sweetest nurses there they were all taking selfies with us, they asked permission of course, but they were just so pumped,” the 36-year-old mother said, as reported by ABC15 Arizona.

At the moment, baby Finley is wearing clothes for 6 to 9 month old babies. He’s still quite big, but he’s very healthy.

Speaking of her older son, mom Cary said, “When he was born, he was my doctor’s top five, of the biggest and I was like, just you wait, I’m gonna get to the top of the list, totally joking two years ago, and then we accidentally did it.”

Despite all the heartbreaks the miscarriages brought, this family is now complete and happy!

Husband mourns wife killed in car crash while celebrating birth of son who survived

0

Samantha Russell, a beautiful 22-year-old woman, was supposed to get the best gift life can ever bring; she was about to become a mother to a beautiful baby boy whom she and her husband Brandon couldn’t wait to meet and hold.

Unfortunately, that joy was taken away from her when a suspect who was fleeing from the police crashed into her car and killed her.

The devastating accident took place on July 6. Samantha was immediately rushed to the hospital, but doctors were unable to save her. Fortunately, her child survived and was delivered to the world.

The saddest day of Brandon’s life was at the same time his happiest. He lost his loving wife, but now his son was there and he had to be strong for him.

Brandon took to Facebook to share his mixed feelings with his loved ones. “Words cannot explain or express the emotions going through everyone’s head today in light of the events that took place on July 6th 2021 at around 5:30 CST. Sammy was taken from us but left behind the most beautiful gift of life,” he wrote.

“She was driven and the hardest worker I knew. She always ALWAYS knew what to say when I was going through an issue or needed advice.

“She was an all around good person who did not deserve to die on impact from a reckless driver,” he added.

Samantha’s killer, 37-year-old Javan Jermaine Ervin, has been arrested. He is charged with first-degree murder in commission of a felony, aggravated battery and criminal possession of a firearm.

As Brandon is now left to raise the boy alone, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help the Russell family.

Rest in peace, Samantha.

4-year-old girl killed after SUV slams into a preschool playground

0

A very tragic incident took place on Wednesday when a young woman in a Jeep Cherokee drove through a chain-link fence around a playground at Imagination Station Learning Center in Arcadia. The 18-year-old hit two children and the vehicle only came to a halt after hitting a tree.

Both the children were transferred to DeSoto Memorial Hospital, where 4-year-old Maleena Valdez succumbed to her injuries. The other child is in a critical condition.

One of the witnesses of the horrific incident, Becky Stidham, told WINK: “Kids screaming and I said, ‘Well, it could be coming from our pool,’ but it was so many screams of so many kids and everything that I thought, well, you know, there’s no way it could be coming from the pool.”

According to ABC affiliate WFTS, the woman behind the vehicle was identified as Kiara Morant from Tampa. As she didn’t produce a valid driver’s licence, Morant was taken into custody but was released shortly after. However, authorities said it happened before little Maleena died. As for now, as the investigation is ongoing, Morant will face additional charges in connection with the child’s death.

Maleena’s family was left utterly heartbroken. They couldn’t believe their little angel was taken from them.

A GoFundMe page has been created to help the family with the funeral expenses.

“She was the light of our lives and she will desperately be missed by all who loved her. She was a sassy, kind, funny little girl who loved her big sissy and mommy and daddy more than anything in this world! Maleena was so innocent and pure-hearted! She still had so much life to live!” the GoFundMe page read.

“Due to these unforeseen circumstances her Mother will be out of work for some time to mourn the loss of her sweet baby girl and we all know that bills do not stop, and on top of it, funeral costs will also now be added to the everyday stuff that was already present before this horrible tragedy.” It added that Maleena’s mother, Savannah, had another child to take care of.

“We are asking for any help to alleviate even a piece of the burden for her family so that they can take this time to be together and mourn without added stress. Please continue to pray for Maleena’s mother Savannah, Father Miguel, sister Jazziah and the rest of the family and friends, and that justice will be served in this unspeakable tragedy.”

Rest in peace, sweet angel.

Woman sells all of cheating husband’s things at yard sale while he’s away with his mistress

0

Way too many marriages end in divorce because of infidelity. When a person learns that their partner has been unfaithful, they react in a number of ways. Some decide to go separate ways, others decide to work on their relationship, and some are looking for revenge.

When a woman from White Rock, near Vancouver, Canada, learned that her husband had a mistress, she did something that caught the attention of a huge number of people.

Namely, she posted an ad on the Canadian pages of classifieds site Craigslist that she was selling all of her husband’s possessions and that included his beloved red leather theater-style sofas with recliners, a ping pong table, a foosball table, furnishings, workmanship, garden pots, athletic equipment and electrical apparatuses.

“Husband left us for a piece of garbage […] Selling everything and moving house following 10 years of marriage,” the ad read.

Source: Craiglist

She wasn’t selling his clothes, however, because she burnt it all at the driveway.

On top of that, she opened the door to her home for potential buyers before the place went on the market. An estate lawyer from Vancouver explained that the proceeds from the sale might be counted as assets in divorce proceedings.

She even wrote that she would be expecting potential buyers to visit her yard sale in the afternoon because she would be drinking and having fun with her friends and wouldn’t be able to get up early in the morning. “So, please talk softly to the sunglasses-wearing females,” she added.

She closed the ad with the words: “Life is too short to squander time, my eyes were placed at the front of my head by God for a reason. I am looking forward to moving forward!”

What do you think of this revenge?

Raymond Burr cared for 25 kids during last 40 years of his very secretive life

0

Considered by the media and the wide public as “one of the most recognizable and admired actors in the world,” Canadian born actor Raymond Burr was loved by millions. In 1996, he was ranked number 44 of the 50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time by TV Guide magazine, and he definitely deserved to be on the list because of the number of iconic roles he gave to his audience.

Because of his fierce looks, Burr played a bad guy in most of the films he was part of. Among the rest, he’s best known for his title roles in the television dramas Perry Mason and Ironside, as well as Alfred Hitchcock’s thriller Rear Window and Godzilla, King of the Monsters!, a role which he reprised in the 1985 film Godzilla 1985.

Over the course of his long and successful career, Burr’s amazing acting was awarded with six Emmy and two Golden Globe nominations. He won Emmy Awards for the role of Perry Mason, which he played for nine seasons (1957–1966) and reprised in a series of 26 Perry Mason TV movies.

Burr was born on May 21, 1917, in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. His parents divorced when he was just six years old so he moved to Vallejo, California, with his mother and siblings.

After touring through Canada where he was part of a number of productions, Burr returned to America where he landed his Broadway debut in the production Crazy With the Heat around 1940 and went on to play on stage and on screen, appearing in more than 50 feature films between 1946 and 1957.

Youtube/Mike Conrad

As Burr’s acting skills were never brought into question as all of the roles he played were executed to perfection, it was the details about his private life which caused doubt.

Burr, who passed away from kidney cancer on September 12, 1993, at the age of 76, claimed he was married three times. According to him, his first wife, an actress named Annette Sutherland, was killed in the same place crash as Leslie Howard. However, multiple sources have reported that no one by that name appears on any of the published passenger manifests from the flight. Burr further claimed that he had a son named Michael from his first marriage, but the boy died of leukemia at the age of 10. During the final year of his life, Burr allegedly took him throughout America so that he could see the natural beauties of the country. After Burr’s death, however, his publicist confirmed that Burr worked steadily in Hollywood throughout 1952, the year that he was supposedly touring the country with his son.

He then married actress Isabella Ward, but their marriage ended in divorce. His third wife, Laura Morgan, allegedly died of cancer.

After Burr’s passing, many people, including authors, claimed that he invented the stories about his wives and son, except the one about actress Isabella Ward.

Bruce Bailey/Hulton Archive/Getty Images

Perry Mason producer Art Marks claimed that Burr’s stories served as a cover-up for his true self.

In 2009, New York Post writer Michael Starr released the Burr biography Hiding in Plain Sight: The Secret Life of Raymond Burr, which detailed the actor’s career, including his secret life. In it, Starr wrote that Marks revealed to him about Burr: “I know he was genuine in liking and disliking people; I don’t think he hid that.

“But I just know he was putting on a show for the other things about wives and children. That was my gut feeling. I think the wives and the loving women, the Natalie Wood thing, were a bit of a cover.”

Martin Mills/Getty Images

What Burr was hoping for when he fabricated all those details about his private life was to hide from the world that he was a homosexual. He believed that if people learned he was gay, that would have affected his career.

In his memoir Full Service: My Adventures in Hollywood and the Secret Sex Lives of the Stars, the well-known “introducer” and bartender Scotty Bowers revealed how he introduced a number of Hollywood stars to one another with the aim for them to engage in sexual encounters.

He claimed that he introduced Burr to actor Bob Benevides and the two stayed together for 33 years, or until Burr’s passing.

Youtube/The Bobbie Wygant Archive

Burr had a net worth of $32 million at the time of his passing, money that he left to his partner Benevides. Even today, Benevides runs Raymond Burr Vineyards in Healdsburg, which includes a tasting room and a greenhouse that contains orchid plants that were one of Burr’s passions.

Spokesman-Review reported in 1986 that Burr “adopted” 25 children from many parts of the world. He helped them receive education and helped their families. Many of them were taken to America to study after which they returned home. He sometimes visited them and their families.

Asked about Burr’s life and the reason for all the stories he presented to the world, Michael Starr wrote: “One, to forge a sympathetic image for a big-screen heavy trying to soften his tough-guy façade. Two, to cover up and muddle the issue of his sexuality. And three, because it was Raymond himself who needed people to pity him.”

One thing is certain, Raymond Burr left a legacy and iconic roles.

Sandra Bullock reveals Keanu Reeves brought her champagne and truffles more than 20 years ago

0

It is common knowledge that Keanu Reeves is one of the nicest guys in Hollywood. His incredible acting talent, along with his heart of gold, makes him America’s sweetheart we all love so very much. His random acts of kindness include gifting Harley-Davidson motorcycles to a dozen stuntmen who worked on The Matrix, donating large sums of money for children’s hospitals, as well as funding cancer research.

Now, one fellow actress spoke of Reeve’s greatness and reminded us once again how awesome this guy is.

Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeve were co-stars in the 1994 hit Speed.

Speaking to Enquire, Bullock recalled a chat she had with Reeves around a year after the release of Speed. During a small talk, she mentioned that she never tried champagne and truffles, but she never thought about that conversation after that. To her surprise, Reeves got on his motorbike a few days later and appeared with flowers, champagne, and truffles.

“I just thought you might want to try champagne and truffles, to see what it’s like,” he said.

She was with a friend at the time and the three shared the champagne. Reeves, however, left shortly after to go on a date.

“When I first met him, I would spend as much time as I could filling a silence, just to feel comfortable,” Bullock said.

“And the more I jibber-jabbered on, the quieter he would get. And I thought, ‘I don’t understand what’s happening! He’s looking at me with eyes of confusion. He’s quiet. Did I say something to offend him?’

“And then a day or two later, he would arrive with a note or a little package, saying, ‘I thought about what you said’, and he would have his response.

“How many people do you know like that?”

The two have always been just friends and never pursued anything romantic, and it looks like Bullock is happy about that.

“Keanu’s a guy who, I feel like, is friends with every woman he’s ever dated. I don’t think there’s anyone who has something horrible to say about him,” she explained.

“So maybe we could have survived. I don’t know. But we didn’t have to survive anything. We just get to grow up together on parallel roads and tip our hats and meet for a dinner and try to work together.

“And the longer time goes on, the more in awe I am of the human being. Would I have been able to say that if he had dumped me and made me angry? Probably not.”

Honestly, I don’t think there is a single person out there who’s not smitten with this incredible actor.

Karen Grassle, ‘Little House on the Prairie’ actress, is still lighting up our screens at 80 years old

0

The Ingalls family and their life on the farm in Plum Creek near Walnut Grove, Minnesota stole the hearts of many. Viewers were eagerly waiting for each new episode and each new adventure. “Little House on the Prairie” attracted millions of fans and many can’t help but wonder what some of their favorite actors from the show are up to nowadays.

The mom of the family, Caroline Ingalls, or as the children called her, Ma, was portrayed by Karen Grassle who was quickly dubbed America’s sweetheart. Even today, she is known as one of the most iconic American moms in TV history.

As she turned 80, Grassle still stuns with her beauty and acting, although she seemed to disappear from the screens for some time before she turned to her first love, Broadway.

Grassle studied at the University of California, but completed her acting education at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

“That was one of the most exciting learning experiences of my life: the school was superb and we could go to the theater in London and see the finest actors and productions in the English language,” Grassle said, referring to her college life in the U.K.

She recalls how she went to an audition for a role she was looking forwards to get, and when she was turned down, she tried her luck with “Little House on the Prairie” probably not assuming back then that this role would help her shot to fame.

The show premiered on September 11, 1974 and lasted until 1983, but Grassle left it the year before. Producers tried convincing her to continue portraying Ma’s role but she didn’t accept the offer so the show was eventually canceled.

After appearing on stage for many years in classics such as “Cabaret” and “Driving Miss Daisy,” Grassle set up her own theater company. Then in 1994, she stared along Kevin Costner in Wyatt Earp.

James Brunet‎ / Karen Grassle

Three years ago, Grassle were both uncertain and happy to answer to a challenge and try something completely different from what she has been doing her whole life so she accepted a role in the horror movie Lasso.

“Finally, my son tells me, “Oh just do it, Mom. You’ll have fun! You’ll run screaming in the night!” So, I said, “Okay, I’ll do it.” It’s a total change for me,” she said.

I’m sure this stunning actress still has a lot to offer, despite her age. She looks completely stunning and still takes our breath away.

After horrific car crash kills parents and baby, orphaned siblings reunite in hope

0

Back in April, 2018, the life of one family changed forever. As the Clemens were driving home from vacation, about a half-mile south of Sterling City, one Chevrolet Tahoe driver lost control of her vehicle and crushed into the family’s Chevrolet Suburban. Unfortunately, Jim Alan Clemens, 31, his wife Karisa Brianne Clemens, 29, and their 2-month-old daughter Juliana lost their lives, and the rest of the children, Angela, 8, Zachary, 5, Wyatt, 4, Nicholas, 2, were left fighting for their lives.

Jim and Karisa Clemens Memorial

They all suffered serious injuries. Angela was in a coma due to severe brain damage, but she was able to wake up. Now, she started school again and is able to read and sing. However, no one is certain if the injuries will affect her life in the future.

Zachary broke his back. After numerous surgeries he can now walk and run again, although he has to wear a vast.

Little Wyatt suffered multiple strokes and was paralyzed on his left side, but managed to recuperate.

After Angela woke up from coma, she and Zachary held hands, and that image was so impactful that people said it spread hope.

The kids’ great aunt, Teresa Burrell, was the one to share the photo. She was also the one who set fundraiser for the orphaned children who needed finances, love, and prayers more than ever before.

Jim and Karisa Clemens Memorial

“All 3 kids that are receiving medical care at Cook Children’s are now on the same rehab floor and were finally reunited a few days ago! Wyatt is doing so well. He suffered paralysis on his left side, but through PT has regained strength and movement. He can walk with a spotter, and they are having a hard time convincing him he shouldn’t be running! He is a great comfort and support to his older siblings,” Burrell wrote on Facebook.

“Zach is struggling. He has had trouble eating and they have given him a feeding tube to make sure he is receiving adequate nutrition. He is also fighting off infection, and as a result has had a high fever for the past few days. He is in a lot of pain – both physical and emotional – and is our greatest concern at this point.

“Angela continues to improve. She is talking more and more each day and is able to read fluently for short stints at a time. She took her first wheelchair ride outside yesterday to check the weather and was glad to be in the sunshine. They are still working on managing her pain as her legs are healing from severe injuries.

“As can be expected, all 3 children — especially Zach and Angela — are struggling with grief as they are coming to accept the loss of their parents and baby sister.”

Jim and Karisa Clemens Memorial

The entire community gathered together to show these children they are not alone. We truly hope their future is bright.

Middle school Principal dug deeper when defiant student refused to take his hat off in class

0

Children can be mean towards one another, so many teens find school a dreading place where they need to look impeccable in order not to get teased. Most are self-aware and tend to fit in with the crowd and that can easily lead them to trouble.

An Indiana middle schooler student named Anthony Moore broke the dress code after he refused to take his hat off during lesson time. Teachers demanded that he get rid of the hat, but he wasn’t about to listen to what they asked him to do.

After speaking with the dean, he was taken to the principal’s office, a place where no student wants to be. But as Anthony expected to be scolded for being defiant, the principal, Jason Smith, who seems to understand students quite well, opted for a different approach. He started talking to Anthony in a friendly manner because he could sense there was something more behind his behavior.

Source: YouTube/ WTHR

“I sat across from him and asked, ‘What’s wrong? Why are you being defiant, why are you refusing to take your hat off? It’s a pretty simple request,’” Smith said. “And he explained that his parents took him to get a haircut and he didn’t like the results.”

As it turned out, Anthony hated his hairline and was willing to face the consequences of wearing his hat at school if that meant his classmates wouldn’t make fun of his disastrous haircut.

Smith was aware the student was worried about social acceptance, so he made him an offer.

“I told him, ‘Look, I’ve been cutting hair since I was your age,’ and I showed him pictures of my son’s haircuts that I did and some of me cutting hair in college. And I said, ‘If I run home and get my clippers and fix your line, will you go back to class?’” Smith said. “He hesitated but then he said yes.”

Source: YouTube/ WTHR

Smith rushed home to take his clippers although the weather was tough and snowy. In the meantime, Anthony’s parents were contacted by a school’s representative who explained to them the entire situation and asked for a permission for their son’s hair to be cut properly. Not only did they agree but were thrilled by how the principal handled the situation.

“He (Smith) handled it very well to keep him from getting in trouble at school,” Anthony’s mom Tawanda Johnson said. “I’m just glad that he was able to handle that without being put in in-school suspension.”

Source: YouTube/ WTHR

Smith knew exactly what Anthony was going through.

“He didn’t say straight out, but I feel like he didn’t want to be laughed at,” Smith said. “The barbershop and haircuts as Black males is very important in the community and looking your best and being sharp — it’s just a cultural aspect. Just from my being a Black male myself and coming through that culture and you know, I really think girls matter at that age, which [means] appearance then could matter. He was scared he was going to be laughed at and we were pretty sure no one would notice, but he was looking through his lens.”

Not everyone is good at dealing with young children and their problems, but Smith is one of those people who know how to show understanding and compassion for the students at his school. He is the kind person we all wish our children to have in their lives while dealing with insecurities at school.

Here’s Why You Should Leave a Coin in the Freezer Before Leaving the House

0

If you are thinking of going on vacation and leaving food in the freezer, this is an article you should not miss. Today we shares with you a simple trick that will tell you if it is safe to consume the food that you left in the freezer.

Sometimes when we’re away from home, the power goes off and we never know about it. However, this can cause food stored in the freezer to defrost and deteriorate.

One woman has came up with an ingenius trick on how we can now check if our refrigerators are still in optimal working condition – with just a single mug of water and a penny! With such an experiment, you’d never have to worry about having spoilt vegetables or fruits in your fridge again.

An idea developed by Sheila Pulanco Russell, she demonstrates a fridge-mug experiment with simple tap water. It is an extremely easy experiment – if the penny freezes, its a good sign – your fridge’s able to keep your groceries well-chilled and frozen. If it isn’t, it probably tells you that you’d need to buy a new refrigerator to prevent food spoilage – try this at home now!

Source: Sheila Pulanco Russell (Facebook)

In a Facebook post which quickly received hundreds of thousands of reactions and shares, Sheila explains how to proceed. She writes:

“For those of you that are evacuating from the coast, I just heard a great tip. It’s called the one cup tip. You put a cup of water in your freezer. Freeze it solid and then put a quarter on top of it and leave it in your freezer. That way when you come back after you’ve been evacuated you can tell if your food went completely bad and just refroze or if it stayed frozen while you were gone.

If the quarter has fallen to the bottom of the cup that means all the food defrosted and you should throw it out. But if the quarter is either on the top or in the middle of the cup then your food may still be ok. It would also be a great idea to leave this in your freezer all the time and if you lose power for any reason you will have this tip to fall back on.

If you don’t feel good about your food, just throw it out. The main thing is for all to be safe. Please SHARE this on your page. 😀”

In any case, if you’re not sure whether food is safe, throw it out. The most important thing in life is, and will always be, your health.

The tragedies in the life of child actress Lauren Chapin after ‘Father Knows Best’

0

When someone experiences fame early in life, it can be either a good thing or something that leads to destruction. The reason why is because most children can’t cope with all the pressure from the media and being under the limelight.

Being a huge name in the film industry during the 50s changed the life of child actress Lauren Chapin forever. Before the age of 10, she was cast in the TV series Father Knows Best and appeared in 196 episodes of the 203 in the series. It was her mom Lauren who took her to audition together with Lauren’s brother Michael who read for the role of Bud in the same series.

“In fact, one day when he and Lauren were both reading, [producer] Mr. Rodney told me you might hit the jackpot and have two of your children in this series”. It turned out, however, that Michael looked too mature for the part,” Lauren’s mother recalled.

Lauren couldn’t even read when the producers of the show decided to give her the role of Kathy “Kitten” Anderson, turning her into a child star who ended up winning five Junior Emmys for Best Child Actress.

Lauren starred alongside Robert Young, Elinor Donahue, and Jane Wyatt.

She remembers the years on the set as one of the best of her life. On her 12th birthday, the producers surprised Lauren with a trip to Disneyland. She went there with a friend of hers and the moment they arrived and stepped out of the car, even bigger surprise awaited them. Elvis Presley presented her with a cake and sang her “Happy Birthday.”

“We were so enamored with him. It was just amazing,” Lauren said. “I think the both of us were running fevers.”

Everything seemed perfect in the life of Lauren, at least until the show that helped her rise to stardom was on. Unfortunately, once Father Knows Best was canceled, it was the start of the downfall of Lauren Chapin. As everyone saw her as Kathy from the show, she had a hard time finding a job and that affected her relationship with her mother.

“I couldn’t get a job; I’d been typecast as Kathy Anderson,” Lauren said. “The more I didn’t work, the more my mother drank, and the more belligerent I became, I started running away from home. I became an incorrigible child.

“I want to be married, have the piece of paper, the ring on the finger, and have a neat partnership.”

Eventually, she ran away from home and married one of her classmates at the age of 16. The marriage only lasted 2 years. As time passed by, she replaced her depression medications with illegal substances and ended up in a mental institution.

“I saw these people walking around wearing diapers and baby bonnets and sucking from bottles, and I thought, “Oh my God, I’m in the nuthouse, and I’ll never get out,” she said in a 1983 interview with Reading Eagle.

“But they train you to give up all your identity and go back to the beginning. A lot of people don’t make it, but the ones who do, make it for life.”

Youtube/Laurenchapin

Luckily, after that dark period, she managed to regain control of her life. In 1989, she co-wrote the book Father Does Know Best: The Lauren Chapin Story, in which she wrote about her life on the television show and the horror that faced her when she left.

Lauren became a mother of two, son Matthew and daughter Summer.

“I know that Matthew and Summer are going to hear bad things about me from their friends. People can be so cruel sometimes. But, again, I have to trust Jesus to solve the problem,” Lauren said.

“I really can’t blame anyone but myself for the past,” she added. “And I can’t thank anyone but Jesus for the present and the future. My goal now is to spread His word and honor His name.”

Today, Lauren Chapin is 76 and works as a motivational speaker and is focused on helping others.

Nurse takes care of premature baby no one visited for five months, then decides she can’t live without her

0

That life is unpredictable and full of surprises isn’t something we aren’t fully aware of. Many times, most of us have plans for the future, but things don’t always turn out as expected, and we find ourselves in situations we never imagined we could experience.

Liz Smith, director of nursing at Franciscan Children’s hospital in Brighton, Mass. has seen her siblings and friends getting married and having children, and that’s exactly what this 45-year-old woman wished herself. She knew deep down she would be a great mother one day, hopefully as loving and as dedicated as her late mother. Smith’s parents got divorced when she was 19, and she recalls how her mother would always make sure their home was filled with joy and laughter.

Source: Instagram

“My mom was a pediatric nurse who always put others first,” said Smith. “So I grew up wanting to be a nurse, too.”

Smith is the best aunt in the world for her 13 nieces and nephews and everyone agrees how this lady is the most caring person they’ve ever met. Smith’s sister, Elly Smith, says how her sister is a nurturer by nature and if given the chance to become a mother, she’d play that role just perfectly.

Smith believed that in vitro fertilization could help her conceive, but her health insurance wouldn’t cover the expensive treatment, and she couldn’t afford it either. Although she wanted children badly, she never considered fostering or adopting, until that serendipitous encounter with the 8-month-old Gisele, the girl with bright blue eyes and an angelic face.

(Photo) Liz Smith with her daughter Gisele, who was 9 months old when Smith brought her home from the hospital.

Smith first saw the sweet little baby while one of the nurses at work was wheeling her down the hall. Smith remembers asking, “Who’s this beautiful angel?” The answer she got, “Her name is Gisele” wouldn’t stop ringing in her head. She wouldn’t forget Gisele’s single soft brown curl either.

It appeared Gisele was transferred at the hospital where Smith worked when she was only 3 months old . She was born prematurely back in July 2016, and only weighted 2 pounds at birth. She experienced breathing problems as a result of her mother’s drug abuse during pregnancy. The poor baby had a feeding tube and not a single visitor during those long five months she spent at the hospital.

It was then that Smith learned how the state of Massachusetts and the social services were in search of a foster home for Gisele. And this woman who’s biggest wish was to be a mother knew that was it. She told herself, “I’m going to foster this baby. I’m going to be her mother.”

“I never imagined becoming a mom would be a challenge,” Smith said. “It’s a desire you can try to push away and fill with other distractions, but it never goes away.”

“Since the moment I met her, there was something behind her striking blue eyes capturing my attention,” she said. “I felt that I needed to love this child and keep her safe.”

Source: Instagram

“She was behind developmentally, and I wanted to get her out of the hospital and get her thriving,” Smith recalled.

In April 2017, Smith was given permission to take Gisele home. However, she was told how the state would do anything in their power to reunite the baby with her biological parents.

“Leaving the parking lot of the hospital with Gisele and a car full of baby stuff, I was in shock that it was happening,” said Smith.

Source: Instagram

She took some time off in order to take care of her new baby. Her friends and family were all very supportive of Smith’s decision to foster the infant, and they even organized a baby shower and bought her a bunch of baby stuff.

“I was excited but nervous, realizing that I was committing everything I had to this child who might not be in my life forever,” she said.

The baby’s parents were granted weekly supervision visits, but the state determined they weren’t capable of taking further care of their biological daughter so their parental rights were terminated, which meant Smith could apply to become Gisele’s mother legally.

“The day I got the call that their parental rights were terminated was very sad,” she said. “My gain was another’s loss. It’s a feeling difficult to describe when you are experiencing this life-changing moment that someone else is as well, in the opposite way. The bottom line is: It’s devastating for another family.”

Thanks to all the love Smith and her brother Phil showered little Gisele with, she showed amazing progress and by the time she turned 15 months, she could walk and even say a few words. Smith recalls how her daughter’s first word was ‘badoon’ for a balloon.

October 18, 2017 was the day when these two loving ladies officially became a mother and a daughter and it was the best day of their life.

(Photo) Liz and Gisele Smith celebrate the day the adoption was made official.

“This is the mother-daughter relationship my sister has waited a long time for,” said Phil Smith, 44. “It’s plain to see that they have brought a completeness to each other.”

Even though Gisele is still using a suplemental feeding tube at the age of 2, her days are filled with lots of laughter. She enjoys eating cheese and pizza and is the sweetest little lady.

“Her new favorite song is ‘You Are My Sunshine,’ ” said Smith. “And every time she sings it, I think to myself, ‘You have no idea.’ ”

We are so happy things turned out great for both Smith and her daughter Gisele. Now they have each other to love and care for.

Every father of a daughter dreams of the moment of walking their princess down the aisle one day. Seeing their girls growing up and being ready to embark on the adventure called marriage fills fathers’ hearts with joy and overwhelms them with mixed emotions.

Todd Bachman got to experience that bliss as his daughter’s wedding day was there. However, when he walked her down the aisle, he realized something was wrong, something was missing. So he wanted to make things right, and his unorthodox action stunned the guests.

Some actors identify themselves with the roles they play to an extent that it changes their lives forever. Gary Sinise is definitely one of them. After he landed the role of Lieutenant Dan, a wounded Vietnam veteran, in the award winning film Forrest Gump, Sinise made it his life mission to help as many veterans as possible. Through his Gary Sinise Foundation he changed the lives of a huge number of veterans, defenders, first responders, their families, and those in need.

For his incredible work, Sinise has received many awards. His hard work and generosity have been recognized by the society and the country and I honestly believe that no matter what we do, we can never thank this man enough.

WASHINGTON — Gary Sinise and The Lt. Dan Band perform at the Pentagon. Theevent, sponsored by America Supports You, was in recognition of National Military Appreciation Month. Sinise supports the military through various shows at military bases and has taken three USO sponsored trips to Iraq and Afghanistan.

In 2020, this Hollywood hero received yet another recognition and it came in the form of the highest honor, the Congressional Medal of Honor Society Patriot Award.

It was actor Joe Mantegna who presented the award to Sinise. During his speech, he said: “As you all may know, not all heroes are made on the battlefield,” and added: “All I can tell you is knowing this man for as long as I have, for 40 years, his status as a patriot is only equaled by his status as a husband, as a father and as a friend.”

No other person deserves this award more than Lt. Dan.

The life and struggles of ‘Family’ and ‘Empty Nest’ actress Kristy McNichol

0

Emmy award winning actress Kristy McNichol entered the film industry from early age and became famous with the role of tomboy “Buddy” in the hit series “Family” which aired from 1976 until 1980. This role made her a teen star of the era and all eyes were on her.

In fact, Kristy only became an actress because her mother pushed her into it. Her mom wanted to be part of the Hollywood glam herself, but only managed to play an extra in some movies, so she somehow wanted to compensate for her ‘failed’ career through her kids.

After “Family” was over, Kristy’s career was just beginning. She went on to be part of very successful movies, including the box office hit “Little Darlings” with Tatum O’Neal. Other movies Kristy starred in were “Women of Valor”, “You Can’t Hurry Love” and “Two Moon Junction”, as well as the television series “Empty Nest”. She and her brother Jimmy even tried themselves in the music industry, releasing a disco album and the hit song “He’s So Fine.”

However, as fans believed everything was going smooth for their favorite actress, the truth was that Kristy was facing struggles in her personal life. She was having hard time revealing her true sexuality and dated men, including actor and television director Scott Baio whom she got involved with in 1977 and singer and actor Leif Garret.

Fans and magazines speculated that she dated women after that. According to DatingCelebs, Kristy fell in love with actress Ina Liberace during the 80’s and was later associated with Canadian actress Elisabeth Brooks, who sadly passed away at the age of 46 in 1977.

Below is a photo of Kristy and Baio the Sixth Annual People’s Choice Awards, at the Hollywood Paldium, on January 24, 1980.

Kristy had her demons. She had a hard time finishing filming a movie in France and took a year off before she could return on set again. Back then, not much was known of her psychological condition as bipolar disorder wasn’t something medicine was still familiar with back in the day.

Speaking of that experience Kristy told NewsAmomama, “I couldn’t eat, and the whole month I was in France I hardly slept. When I did sleep, I was dreaming strange things. I was crying all the time. My weight dropped down to about 96 lbs. Nonstop anxiety. I was always shaking like a leaf. Freaking out, crying, confused, I didn’t know what was going on.”

Finally, after number of speculations, Kristy spoke openly about her sexuality in 2012. She told her fans and the world that she was married to the love of her life, Martie Allen. And that’s about all we know of Kristy’s private life that she tends to keep it exactly that, private.

We are glad she played all those roles that were part of our lives and wish her only the best. However, we do feel sorry she’s no longer part of the movie industry.

Annette Funicello couldn’t walk, speak or eat in the end – but her husband never gave up hope

0

Annette Funicello rose to stardom almost overnight after she became a mouseketeer on the original “Mickey Mouse Club.” Although she was just 12 years old when Walt Disney himself discovered her at a recital, she became an icon adored by millions. All of a sudden, she became every boy’s crush and all the girls wanted to be like her.

Her acting and dancing talent helped her get a 7-year contract with Disney.

Annette’s smile was so enchanting and energetic, that she soon became a symbol of beauty. She was given her own series titled “Annette” in which she played the role of an orphan girl with the same name who left the country for a big city and went to live with her aunt and uncle.

As she grew older, she starred in a number of films, including a series of Beach Party movies with Frankie Avalon which led to another 7-year contract, this time with American International Pictures.

Before tying the knot with agent Jack Gilardi, with whom she welcomed three children, Annette dated singer Paul Anka who always spoke of her with much admiration. “Not a malicious thing (was) ever said about her,” the singer said. “All of a sudden, you had this cute-looking, lovely person with a great soul that emerged and stepped out from everyone. Her loveable personality, and her sincerity, people just gravitated to it.”

When her marriage of 18 years ended with divorce, Annette married racehorse trainer Glen Holt with whom she stayed until the rest of her life.

It was withing the first year of her second marriage that Annette started experiencing health issues which involved dizziness, balance problems, and headaches. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis which she tried to hide from everyone for five years. However, her unbalanced movements were related with alcohol use by the media and in order to put a stop to the rumors, she was forced to reveal her diagnosis with the world.

Her life was filmed as a television movie with A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes: The Annette Funicello Story (1995) co-starring her good friend, Shelley Fabares. Eventually, as the disease progressed, Annette was wheelchair-ridden and went into complete seclusion.

Over time, she lost the ability to speak, but she was never alone in her fight against MS. Her husband never left her side and was there for her every step of the way. “When she got diagnosed … I told her, ‘I will take care of you, and I’ll do everything I can,’” and that’s exactly what Holt did.

During those 25 years that they were married, he constantly tried to search for a cure for his wife.

“I see changes. And you know to me when you can see some changes like they always say, where there is smoke, there is fire, I see something that is very positive, and it needs to be researched further,” he said after all the surgeries and tests.

Sadly, the actress passed away on April 8, 2013, at the age of 70.

“Annette was and always will be a cherished member of the Disney family, synonymous with the word Mouseketeer, and a true Disney legend,” Disney chairman and CEO Bob Iger said in a statement released regarding Annette’s death.

“She will forever hold a place in our hearts as one of Walt Disney’s brightest stars, delighting an entire generation of baby boomers with her jubilant personality and endless talent.

“Annette was well known for being as beautiful inside as she was on the outside, and she faced her physical challenges with dignity, bravery and grace.”

Annette contributed to the MS research by opening the Annette Funicello Fund for Neurological Disorders at the California Community Foundation in 1992.

She was true beauty, may she rest in peace.

Chuck Norris had a love child he didn’t know about for almost 26 years

0

Chuck Norris is widely known as one of the best martial artists there are. He has successfully incorporated his martial-arts knowledge into a number of films which brought him recognition as a renowned actor.

However, it seems like that of all of the roles he has played over the years, he’s proudest of the role of a father.

Facebook

When he was just 18 years old, Norris married his high-school sweetheart Dianne Kay Holechek, who was 17 at the time they tied the knot. Norris and Holechek were married for 30 years and welcomed two sons together. However, while still married to Holechek, and around a year after their first son was born, Norris had an affair with a woman named Johanna while he was stationed in California in the U.S. Air Force. He never told Johanna that he was married and had no idea she was pregnant with his child until his daughter, Dina DiCiolli, contacted him some 26 years later.

As it turned out, she knew Norris was her father ever since she was 16 as she overheard her mother telling that to someone, but it took her years to gather the courage to send him a letter.

Facebook

Norris said he didn’t need a DNA test to know that Dina was indeed his daughter and said he was thankful to Johanna for keeping the child. “There might be illegitimate parents in the world,” the Good Guys Wear Black star wrote in a 2007 Daily Herald article. “I know because I was one, but there are not illegitimate children. God has a plan and purpose for each of our lives.”

When he first saw his daughter after so many years, Norris wrote that he wrapped his arms around her as tears of joy rolled down his face.

Dina is a mother of three, and recently, her daughter Gabi, Norris’ granddaughter, got married and the entire family attended the special event.

Facebook

Since 1998, Norris has been married to former model Gena O’Kelley with who she has twins Danielle Kelley and Dakota Alan, born in 2001.

On Father’s Day 2017, the actor wrote on Facebook: “Being a father is one of God’s greatest blessings a man can experience.”

The way Norris accepted the daughter he didn’t even know exist for 26 years speaks of his greatness as a father and as a human being.

Her television roles include Annabeth Schott in NBC’s The West Wing and Olive Snook on the ABC comedy drama Pushing Daisies, for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2009. She also starred in the TV series GCB, as well as in Trial and Error.

Recently, the 53-year-old actress and singer released a children’s book titled “What Will I Do with My Love Today?” which revolves around a girl named Kristi Dawn who shows that adoption is one of the most beautiful things in life after she meets a lonely dog looking for a forever home.

Speaking of her book during an appearance on the Today show, Kristin spoke of her own adoption. Namely, she was adopted by Junie and Jerry when she was five years old and always speaks with much love and pride of her parents. “My dad always says ‘Man, did we win the lottery’ and I always say ‘No, I won the lottery,’” she revealed on the show.

“It was never a surprise,” she said. “They always said ‘The lady that had you in her belly could not take care of you the way she wanted to, and she loved you so much,’” and added, “This is what my mom said, ‘She gave you life, but we get to give you a life.’”

In October 2021, Kristie got engaged to country music guitarist Josh Bryant and revealed the big news on social media. “Guess you’re stuck with me now, @joshbguitar. I love you and I’m never letting you go. A million times yes!!!” the Broadway star wrote.

Kristie definitely is one of our favorite actresses both because of her great movies and productions and for praising adoption and being forever thankful to her adoptive parents.

“No matter how life has brought us together, adoption means family, and family is forever. We had lots of love in our family before, but with you Thunder pup, we have even more,” she said of her dad. We are certain her parents are proud of her for who she is and for her heart of gold.
