Teen designs her own prom dress and pays tribute to fallen soldiers in the most beautiful way

“All gave some, Some gave all!” Our military men and women are the reason why we all get to live the way we do, freely. These brave people fought and many died to protect our nation and we can never thank them enough for their sacrifice.

One teen from Illinois, Aubrey Headon, paid tribute to 25 fallen soldiers, members of the 3rd Battalion, in a very meaningful and touching way. This girl designed and crafted her prom dress all by her self and although it looks normal from afar, it is everything but ordinary.

The dress has red and white ribbons with the names of the fallen soldiers printed on them.

One of the ribbons is black and is dedicated to the teen’s friend Tyler Smith who drowned and was part of the Illinois Army National Guard. Smith was also a former student at Aubrey’s school, Rochelle Township High School in Rochelle, Illinois.

Aubrey spent two years making her dress and she was inspired to create it after she met Gretchen Catherwood, mother of a fallen soldier. Gretchen founded the Darkhorse Lodge, an organization that helps combat veterans, and Audrey was so fascinated with this grieving mother’s work that she felt she should contribute in honoring the heroes herself.

Speaking to Inside Edition, the young lady said, “I don’t want them to fade into nothing.”

Aubrey’s dress resembles the American flag and everyone who has seen it is fascinated by the way it looks and the story it tells. “That’s one beautifully thought out dress. Thank you for respecting the fallen on a special day for you ♡,” one person wrote. “She truly understands where her freedom comes from,” someone else added. Many agree Aubrey is a true patriot and that more young people should be like her and show their respect whenever possible.

Take a look at Aubrey’s dress and story in the video below. She truly is an awesome young lady.

Little girl cuts off her hair, the reason why makes everyone laugh

Little kids can never be trusted to be left on their own, sometimes not even for a second, because they are very likely to get themselves into trouble when no one’s watching. From accidentally breaking things around the house, to throwing things around and making a mess, one can never assume what they would do next. But that’s just a normal phase every child goes through. I am sure you remember some of the stupid things you did when you were just a kid yourself.

Sweet Ansleigh went a step further and cut all her hair off while her dad wasn’t paying a close eye on her so she ended up with a mullet.

YouTube

From her facial expression and her teary eyes we can say she is aware she wasn’t supposed to cut her hair on her own. However, she provides the perfect reason for her action and says she was inspired by Jessica. When dad says that Miss Jessica is allowed to cut people’s hair because she went to school for it, Ansleigh “accuses” him for not letting her practice enough and people simply can’t contain their laughter over the girl’s reasoning.

However, everything turns out fine at the end after they come to an agreement that daddy will let her practice cutting hair more often in the future when she gets older.

This touching 9/11 Budweiser commercial paying tribute to our nation only aired once

Although it has been 19 years since America was a target of the terrorist attack that took place on September 11 in which around 3.000 people lost their life, we still remember it like it was yesterday.

9/11 stands for sorrow and grief, but it also shows the patriotism of our citizens. On that day, everyone stood together against those who harmed the country and its people. The whole world was mourning the lost lives and people from every corner of the Earth empathized with the Americans.

In those tough times, the American brand Budweiser aired a commercial that touched the hearts of many. It’s so emotional, it makes even the toughest people cry.

YouTube

The commercial features the company’s signature horses, the Clydesdales, who are shown making their way through New York City. As they pass the Statue of Liberty and cross the Brooklyn Bridge, they stop at the park and gaze at the skyline.

Finally, they get to the spot where once the Twin Towers stood and bow their heads in respect.

YouTube

The message they spread is ‘never forget and don’t ever let that happen again.’

The commercial only aired again on the 10th anniversary of the attack. “We feel our 9/11 Clydesdales tribute ad is very special,” Paul Chibe, VP-marketing at Anheuser-Busch, said in a statement. “We were proud to re-air the spot on Sunday, the 10th anniversary, as a way to help raise awareness of the fundraising campaign for the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. The subtle changes in the ad were intended to reflect the passing of time, and the most important point, that we should never forget those lost and affected by 9/11.”

Homeless man walks into bar with $2 for food, leaves the place with so much more

Even in the year of 2020, homelessness remains one of the biggest social issues many countries, among which America face. The paradox of this problem lies in the fact that as the state’s economy grows stronger, the number of people on the streets gets higher. Some of the reasons why individuals find themselves without a roof over their head are the lack of affordable housing, unemployment, poverty, and low wages.

Many times these people end up spending their days under bridges, sleeping on cardboard boxes, depending on the generosity of kindhearted people who are willing to give them a buck or two or buy them something to eat.

The following is the story of a homeless man who got to learn what it feels like to be treated with respect. Because no matter how sad it sounds, homeless people lack the respect of the rest of the members of the society.

When he entered into Huey’s, a popular restaurant in Memphis, Tennessee the guy hoped to get something to eat.

The Huey’s bartender, Beck, could see how hungry the man was, so he greeted him saying: “What can I get you man?”

The homeless guy asked whether he could get anything for the $2 he had in his pocket.

Beck didn’t skip a beat. He asked,

“What you want man, a burger? Do you want fries or onion rings?”

The man was so touched that he only said “Good bless you” as the bartender proceeded taking his order.

“What do you want to drink?”

He could have get anything, but he chose water. It was 100 degrees that day and the man was obviously very thirsty.

Dawn who witnessed the whole thing unfolding in front of her later took to Facebook to talk about the encounter. She wrote:

“They gave the food to him to go and I swear when it came out it was way more than he ordered or paid for … I say cheers to Beck for having a HEART.”

Dawn went further saying how Beck resembled the bartender from the classic movie “It’s a Wonderful Life,” where every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings.

She then added: “Beck, you get the wings today. Made my heart smile.”

Many people took their time to comment on this amazingly kind gesture, praising Beck for his heart of gold. One woman said how we should all take a lesson from this story, and we can’t agree more.

Hailie Scott Mathers, Eminem’s daughter, is all grown up and he can’t be prouder of her

Dubbed the “Rap God,” Eminem, born Marshal Matters, has won the world some thirty years ago and is still an icon. He stunned many with his ability to rattle off lyrics with such a speed that impresses even today. His songs are meaningful and deep and most of them express his personal struggles a lot of people can relate to.

Throughout the years, he accomplished a lot and won numerous awards, but this rapper considers being a good dad his greatest accomplishment in life. He has three daughters, Hailie, his biological child whom he had with his school sweetheart, infamous Kimberly Anne “Kim” Scott. His adopted daughter Whitney Scott Matters is Hailie’s half-sister and Eminem’s ex’s biological child. After Kim and her then boyfriend started using substances and got addicted, Eminem stepped in for Whitney. The rapper’s second adopted daughter is Alaina Marie Mathers, whose mom is Kim’s twin sister, Dawn Scott.

Eminem is a devoted father and very proud of his girls.

His daughter Hailie was raised in Detroit, Michigan, and her time was split between her parents’ after the two separated. Despite her dad being one of the most famous names in the world, she never really lived under the spotlight. Hailie did appear in some of her dad’s music spots, like “Mockingbird,” when she was still just a little child, but never followed into his footsteps.

Today, she’s 24 years old and has an Instagram account with more than 2 million followers. Hailie is an influencer who often posts beauty tips. Although she never posts photos of her dad, she says the two are extremely close.

“She has been my main source of drive and motivation, especially when she was first born. I did not have a career yet, I did not have money, I did not have a place to live. I think that kicked me in the a *** harder knowing, ‘How am I going to raise her?”, he said in 2002.

“She’s always been the driving force for me to stay busy, stay focused, always been my number one reason for fear of failure. I can’t fail. I can’t have her grow up and not be able to say, ‘My dad succeeded”.

Eminem only spoke of Hailie in a handful of interviews because he wanted to protect her and keep her out of the public eye. Recently, however, he went on Mike Tyson’s podcast, “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson,” and spoke of his fatherhood.

Asked about Hailie, he said he couldn’t believe how fast she grew up. “No babies, she has a boyfriend, but she’s doing good. She’s made me proud for sure. She’s graduated from college.”

“I have a niece that I have helped raised, too, pretty much like a daughter to me, and she is 26,” he said of his daughters on the podcast. “And then I have a younger one that’s 17 now. So when I think about my accomplishments like that’s probably the thing that I’m the most proud of, you know, is that — is being able to raise kids.”

Source close to the family said that Hailie and boyfriend Evan McClintock started dating four years ago and are serious.

“Evan studied economics and is a keen golfer, there’s a huge difference! Hailie’s family have welcomed Evan, they are a fantastic young couple who love cosy nights in rather than hard partying,” the source told Daily Mail.

Eminem is an incredible father and an example that no matter what life brings and no matter the troubled upbringing one can turn into an amazing parent just the way he did. His daughters are happy to have such father figure in their lives.

Sean Connery is 90 today and enjoys his golden years off-screen

Sir Sean Connery is the first actor to have portrayed the intelligence officer James Bond on film. The Scottish actor and producer who is now retired marked an era in the movie industry. His talent and incredible looks dubbed him one of the most handsome individuals of Hollywood. Today, Sir Connery is 90 years old and enjoys his days off-screen.

The role of agent 007 earned Sir Connery numerous awards, but it was his role in The Untouchables that brought him an Academy Awards.

With a career spanning over 55 years, Sir Connery decided to call it quits after his last movie The League of Gentlemen was panned by critics. Sir Connery said how it was his team and the director to blame for the failure. “The experience had a great influence on me, it made me think about showbiz. I get fed up dealing with idiots,” he was cited saying at The Times newspaper.

BoxOfficeProphets even wrote how that movie was the reason why Sir Connery decided to retire. However, he didn’t announce his retirement until three years later.

In 2006, he received the American Film Institute’s lifetime achievement award.

Asked whether he’s thinking of accepting a role in a film in the future, Sir Connery said he could consider taking part in an Indiana Jones movie, but after some serious talks with Steven Spielberg about playing Indiana Jones’ father, Dr. Henry in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull he still decided not to get out of retirement. The film got positive reviews by the critics but Sir Connery didn’t regret not being part of it as he seems to be having awesome time not working any longer.

However, those who know him best believe that despite his age, Sir Connery would still consider filming if he is offered a role he would love. Sir Michael Caine spoke of his long time friend with The Telegraph newspaper and was reported saying, “He (Connery) didn’t want to play small parts about old men and they weren’t offering him any young parts in romantic leads.”

Throughout the years, this amazing actor offered a lot to his fans and to Hollywood in general and we believe he deserves to take some rest from acting.

Video of one-year-old girl showing her “mad face” takes the Internet by storm

When I think of cuteness, images of sweet little babies just pop up in my head. Honestly, there’s nothing that can cheer you up and make your day as videos of tiny creatures doing all sorts of unique facial expressions and mumbling words most of us don’t even understand.

Emani is a one-year-old girl who stole the hearts of millions of Internet users. Not only she’s adorable beyond words, but she’s quite intelligent for her age and understand just perfectly what her mom is asking from her. This time, mommy says, “show me your mad face,” and Emani does it in an instant. Mom bursts out laughing and the cute girl smiles along, happy she cheered her mommy up.

“Are we not going to talk about the fact that she seems to be under 2, but understand perfectly what is being asked of her?” one person wrote. “She can’t hold the mad face because her sweet, innocent baby-ness oozes out and reclaims her…She is gorgeous!” another added.

Everyone agrees Emani is a little wonder and an actress in the making. “The Oscar goes to the Baby showing her mad face,” someone said, and we can’t agree more.

13-year-old autistic boy was shot by Salt Lake City police during mental crisis after mom called 911 for help

Golda Barton, mom of 13-year-old Linden Cameron, started work after a longer period of time and her boy who is autistic and has Asperger syndrome experienced a mental crisis, or as she explained to the police, a “bad separation anxiety.” The worried mom called the police to ask for help and explained how her boy was screaming and yelling but was unarmed.

However, when the Salt Lake City police officers arrived at her home, what was supposed to be a “crisis intervention” ended up with shooting and Linden ended up in hospital with multiple wounds.

At the moment, he’s being treated for severe injuries to his intestines, bladder, shoulder and ankles.

Barton shared what happened and spoke to several media outlets including KUTV whom she told, “I said, he’s unarmed, he doesn’t have anything, he just gets mad and he starts yelling and screaming. He’s a kid he’s trying to get attention, he doesn’t know how to regulate.”

Salt Lake City Police Sgt. Keith Horrocks spoke of what she described as a tragedy and said how the officers responded to a “violent psych issue” involving a teenager who “had made threats to some folks with a weapon.” Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall expects the investigation “to be handled swiftly and transparently,” according to a statement.

Linden’s recovery is expected to be a long one and will ask for a number of different procedures. The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help them with the hospital bills. So far, around $12,000 has been raised.

The incident caught the attention of the wide public and autism advocates who are demanding from the police to change the way they are responding to and handling mental health crisis. “Police were called because help was needed but instead more harm was done when officers from the SLPD expected a 13-year-old experiencing a mental health episode to act calmer and collected than adult trained officers,” Neurodiverse Utah said in a statement.

Barton is mad at the officers who shot her son. “He’s a small child. Why don’t you just tackle him?” she said. “You are big police officers with massive amounts of resources. Come on, give me a break.”
