Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter make rare appearance before their 98th and 95th birthdays

Jimmy Carter, who served as the 39th President of the United States between 1977 and 1981, and his wife of over seven decades, Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, are a synonym for a happy marriage. In fact, the couple are recognized as the longest living presidential couple in the history of the country.

So what makes the relationship between these two so special?

The Carters first met when they were both very young. Jimmy was taking a break from the Naval Academy when he first laid eyes on Roselynn. Both felt like they were meant to be and went on a date. “She was beautiful and innocent, and there was a resonance,” he told People of meeting the love of his life.

However, as she was still in college at the time, her father made her promise him on his deathbed that she wouldn’t get married before she finishes school. Roselynn made sure she kept the promise and only married Jimmy after graduation, when she was 18 and he was 21.

During his presidency, Roselynn wasn’t just a First Lady, but she was her husband’s closest advisor and stood by his side supporting every decision he made as a head of the country.

After leaving the White House, the Carters returned to live in their family house in Plains, Georgia. The house, which according to Zillow is valued at $209,996, was built in 1961, when the Carters welcomed their fourth child in their lives and needed a bigger place. The couple have always led a quite and a very simple life.

He never took any advantage of post-presidential popularity and was reported saying: “I don’t see anything wrong with it; I don’t blame other people for doing it. It just never had been my ambition to be rich.”

Recently, Jimmy and Roselynn celebrated their 76th wedding anniversary and many couldn’t help but wonder how they stayed together for so long. For the former President, the secret is very simple, “We’ve just grown closer and closer together,” he says.

“Jimmy and I are always looking for things to do together.” Rosalynn shared with CBS 42. “Each [person] should have some space. That’s really important.”

“I’ve been very happy,” Jimmy said. “And I love her more now than I did to begin with — which is saying a lot, because I loved her a lot.”

As the couple tend to spend their days in the comfort of their home and don’t go out much, every time they are spotted out in the public is a great news for the media. This week, the two were among people for more than an hour at the unveiling of a giant butterfly statue to honor First Lady Rosalynn’s 95th birthday.

The statue, dedicated by the Friends of the Carter’s group, has eight limbs and 18 butterflies that hover over the greenery and is located in the field next to the home where Rosalynn grew up. It is now part of the Rosalynn Carter Children’s garden.

In October of this year, Jimmy will also reach an important milestone. He will be 98.

“He reads his Bible every day, is engaged in family meetings and chimes in on decisions related to the Carter Center in Atlanta,” said Tim Buchanan, with the Friends of the Carters organization.

We are so glad that even during their golden years, Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter live their lives to the fullest.

7-year-old boy swims an hour to shore to look for help for dad and sister carried away by strong current

Chase Poust is a young boy with a big heart. Despite being just 7 years old, Chase knows how to keep a cool head, and that’s exactly what helped him save his father Steven and his 4-year-old sister Abigail from drowning.

One day, as the three were having fun on Steven’s boat that was anchored on the St. John’s River, things took almost tragic turn.

The current became so strong that it pulled the girl away from the boat. At the time, Steven was fishing and heard his children scream. He rushed towards his daughter in an attempt to take her out of the water.

“I told them both I loved them because I wasn’t sure what’s going to happen. I tried to stick with her as long as I could,” Steven recalled the terrifying moment. “I wore myself out, and she drifted away from me.”

He then asked from Chase to swim to the shore and ask for help. The boy did exactly what he was told to do. But that wasn’t an easy journey he embarked on. From where his dad’s boat was to the shore, Chase swam over an hour. It was a 1-mile-long relation, but knowing that his father’s and sister’s lives were at stake, he never thought of giving up. Switching between doggie paddling and floating on his back, Chase was finally able to reach the shore. He rang the bell of the first house he spotted and explained what was going on.

Soon after, the Florida Fish and Wildlife, Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, all joined forces to rescue the Pousts. After an hour of thorough search, Steven and Abigail were found stranded over a mile away from their boat.

Luckily, no one was harmed that day and a tragedy was avoided all thanks to little Chase.

“We had every resource we could have possibly had coming quickly and we’re happy to say all three have been recovered, and all three are doing well,” JFRD’s spokesperson, Eric Prosswimmer said. “We couldn’t ask for a better outcome.”

Steven couldn’t be any more proud of his son’s bravery. “We’re here. By the grace of God, we’re here,” he said. “Little man … made it to shore and got help, and that’s what saved our lives.”

Los Angeles architects turn freeway park into a colorful village for city’s homeless

In the United States, there are over half a million people without a roof over their head. According to Statista, after a period of progress and decline, the U.S. homeless population has increased slightly by two percent according to a report from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. 

More than a half of these people are based in California, with around 42,000 homeless people living in L.A.

As the problem with these people was expected to get even worse in 2022, the city agreed to spend around $3 billion to help as many homeless people find a permanent place to stay.

For this purpose, a beautiful village with tiny homes was built. This village is unlike any other out there. Why, you may wonder. Well, it is like that because a number of “artists and locals have taken it upon themselves to make an impact in their own unique ways,” by painting each house in different color, making Alexandria Park Tiny Home Village a cosy and pleasant place to start your life over.

This village, which is designed and implemented by Lehrer Architects in conjunction with the Bureau of Engineering, is the second of its kind.

“The home consists of 103 single and double-occupancy units, along with community structures and outdoor spaces.”

The number of homes it fits is around 200.

The tiny houses are fully fitted with a fold-down bed, heat, air conditioning, electrical outlets and locks.

The residents of the village are offered three meals each day as well as given access to community showers, restrooms, storage areas, dining areas, and support services.

“It is thrilling to be here using our medium to give, develop and invent form and processes to transform LA into a fully housed city,” said Michael B. Lehrer, founding partner of Lehrer Architects.

“Making a difference is a joy of citizenship.”

We are totally in love with this highly creative solution which allows homeless people a place to stay until they find a permanent home.

The place has a no-alcohol policy and evening curfew, but its residents enjoy many benefits.

Bus driver notices a boy doesn’t get off at the last stop, “Can I spend the night here?” the boy asks

Life is unpredictable. The truth is that we can never know what awaits us in the future. What we know is that we need to be the best version of ourselves and things would simply fall into place.

Nathan, a bus driver, noticed something strange one day. A boy on the bus didn’t get off the last bus stop so Nathan approached him and asked where his parents were.

The boy said that his mother was supposed to wait for him at a certain bus stop but she was nowhere to be seen and he had no idea what to do. The little one explained that he and his mom had just recently moved to town and he couldn’t say where exactly their home was. He then asked Nathan if he could let him spend the night inside the bus.

Nathan explained that he couldn’t possibly let him sleep there and offered to take him home instead until they learn where his mother was.

The boy said his mom’s name was Melissa G, and that was a good start.

Once home, Nathan prepared some dinner which the boy, who introduced himself as Carlson, ate very quickly. It was obvious he hadn’t eaten all day.

Nathan took his phone out and called the police, asking if a boy named Carlson was reported missing. The answer was no. He then asked about Melissa G, but there wasn’t anything they could tell him about her because her name was the only thing he knew about that woman.

Confused and uncertain of what to do next, Nathan thought of calling social services, but he then changed his mind because he didn’t want to involve them for what could be a simple error. He really didn’t want the kid to end up in the system before learning what prevented his mother from meeting him as arranged.

Before calling every hospital in the area, Nathan made the bed for Carlson and told him to feel like home.

“I know this is highly unusual. But I’m looking for this person. Her kid was on my bus all day yesterday, waiting for her to get on. Please, if there’s any Melissa G. interned right now, please, tell me so we can check,” he begged the lady who answered the phone.

Ok, I’ll help. But don’t tell anyone,” the lady replied, and Nathan could hear the sounds of her clicking a computer keyboard. “There’s someone with that name. But there’s no emergency contact. They must have gotten her details from an I.D. in her pocket or purse.”

Unfortunately, Melissa got involved in an accident earlier that day and was in medically induced come. Nathan took Carlson to the hospital first thing in the morning, but the hospital staff wouldn’t let them see her. They asked Nathan whether he was her husband, and just as he wanted to say no, Carlson put his arm around his leg and Nathan said he was Melissa’s husband.

After answering some questions he was forced to lie about, Nathan and Carlson were taken to see Melissa.

She was still in coma and remained in such state in the few days that followed. Eventually, doctors believed she was ready to be waken up as she started feeling better.

When she opened her eyes, Melissa saw her son and gave him a hug.

Carlson then told her about Nathan and Melissa was very grateful. She couldn’t believe that a total stranger could step in for her and her son.

“Thank you,” she breathed sincerely, not letting go of her son. “You’re welcome. But I did lie to these people, so if anyone asks, I’m your husband,” Nathan joked.

Nathan stayed for a while and then said goodbye, not planning to see the mother and her son again.

But in the evening, just as his shift was over, he felt the urge to go to the hospital and check on them one last time.

“Why are you back?” Melissa asked him a few hours later when Carlson had fallen asleep on the couch.

“I don’t know,” he sighed. “I kept thinking about you and him the entire day. I can’t explain it. But I guess I wanted to see this through. I’ll help you return home and watch him whenever I can so you can recover.”

“That’s so kind,” Melissa replied, as she struggled to keep her tears falling down her eyes. “Other people would’ve called 911 or CPS, and they could’ve taken my son forever.”

“I almost called them, but then I thought, what if something happened to you? There had to be a reason why you didn’t appear, so I had to try to find you first,” he said. The two then looked straight at each other’s eyes.

Once Melissa was discharged from the hospital, Nathan visited her and Carlson in their home. The visits became more frequent and the two tied the knot around to years later.

Nathan adopted Carlson. Who could have thought that the scared boy from the bus would become her son one day.

Boy brings food to a homeless man and his dog every day, one day he sees the dog barking at his door: the story of the day

Brian, a young boy, had a hard time making friends. His father Gary, a police officer, tried helping his son bond with his peers, but Brian had his own things. In fact, Gary did a lot in order to help his son build his self-confidence, but the more he insisted, the more Brian pulled away.

As Brian was way too insecure to go to and from school all by himself, although it wasn’t that far from home, Gary would always drive him. During the winter, while waiting for his dad, Brian was reading at the library, and when the weather was hot, he would wait outside the school.

Over time, Brian made friends with a homeless man named Carl and his dog Goblin. He would see them every day while waiting so he decided to bond with the animal.

One day, when Gary went to pick up his son, Brian was all smiles. He told his father to come closer so that he could see all the tricks that the Golden Retriever could do. He knew how to give a high-five and how to dance.

Gary was surprised to see that his boy made friends with a furry animal. But then, Brian explained that the dog belonged to Carl, the man begging on the street near the school, and Gary got mad. He certainly didn’t want his boy to be around the homeless man.

“Come on, now, it’s time to go,” Gary told Brian and added, “Listen, Brian, I want you to stay away from that man and his dog, OK?”

“Carl’s OK and I love Goblin!” Brian protested.

“Well, I’m sure Goblins’ a good dog, but I don’t want you befriending vagrants, Brian. Do you understand?” the father said. When Brian tried to defend Carl, his dad simply said, “Not another word.”

Despite his father’s warnings, Brian continued being around his newly-made friends, and Gary learned that when his wife told him that food went missing from the house. It was very obvious that Brian was stealing it so that he could give it to Carl and Goblin.

Gary loved the idea of his son being around the dog. What he wasn’t happy about was that the animal belonged to a vagrant.

Two days later, Gary got off work early and when he arrived at the school, he caught Brian outside the gates. He had a bag in his hand and he was saying: “Hey guys, I have your favorite spaghetti, Carl. And for you boy, your favorite sausages!”

“BRIAN!” he thundered. “What are you doing?”

“Get away from that man,” Gary shouted. “Get into the car!”

That night, Gary and his wife talked to Brian of the dangers of befriending a man like Carl. “Dad, I know about stranger danger and bad touching. Carl is NOT like that, he’s nice. You can tell he’s a good person because Goblin loves him so much, and Goblin’s the BEST, smartest dog,” Brian answered back.

“Brian,” Gary said quietly. “I’m sure Goblin’s a great dog, but you know what? Hitler had a great dog and he loved him, and I’m sure the dog loved him back. A good dog does NOT make this vagrant a good person. Please stay away from him, Brian!”

“NO!” shouted Brian, and he pushed back his chair. “Carl is my friend and I love Goblin! Why do you always have to spoil everything? I HATE YOU!”

A few days later, Brian was woken up by loud barking. When he took a look out of the window, he saw Goblin outside. He rushed towards him and could see that the dog was in distress. He kept asking where Carl was. Afraid that something could have happened to him, Brian did something he had never done before. He took Goblin and the two went straight to the station where his dad worked. This was the first time Brian walked that much all by himself.

Gary was stunned when he saw Brian at the precinct with the dog by his side. “Brian!” he gasped. “What are you doing here? How did you get here?”

“Dad!” he cried. “I think something bad happened to Carl. Goblin came looking for me and he’s very scared…” But Goblin wasn’t looking scared, he was looking up at Brian’s dad and growling.

Brian had never heard Goblin growl before. “Dad!” he asked. “What have you done?”

Gary flushed. “Carl was loitering near a school and he was warned off twice, so we arrested him!”

“But dad!” Brain cried. “He did nothing wrong! He’s not well, he needs help…You don’t know anything about him! He’s a veteran and he was in the bomb squad and he worked with sniffer dogs to find explosives. That’s why Goblin’s so well trained. He’s a good man and you arrested him because he’s sick!”

“He’s not SICK!” Gary cried angrily. “He’s a bum!”

Brian had tears in his eyes. “No, dad,” he said softly. “He doesn’t drink or anything, and most of the time he talks to people who aren’t there. He needs help.”

Realizing the mistake he did, Gary felt ashamed of himself. It was then that he decided to do what his son begged him to.

Gary tracked down Carl’s sister and learned that she was desperately looking for him. He made sure they reunite and she helped him get the medical help he desperately needed.

Carl was sent to a mental health clinic and Goblin went with him to keep him company.

One day, Gary came home with a huge smile on his face and a strange lump under his jacket. He lifted out a wriggling puppy and presented it to Brian. “There you go,” he said. “You have to name him!”

Brian started crying tears of joy. “Goblin,” he gasped. “His name is Goblin Two!”

Son took his mother to a nursing home and only visited her from time to time

Do we ever take the time to ponder over the thought that what goes around, comes around? Very often, we undertake certain actions without being completely aware of the impact they have on other people. Luckily, life finds a way to remind us that we should be a bit more considerate.

After the passing of his father, one man decided he couldn’t take care of his mom any longer so he made the decision to take her to a nursing home. She wasn’t happy there and he didn’t visit very often, just occassionally.

One day, he got a call that his mom’s health deteriorated. She didn’t feel at all. In fact, it looked like she was living the last days of her life.

The son was quick to arrive to the nursing home. He went straight to his mother’s room and asked her if there was something he could do for her.

The mother looked straight into his eyes and said that she had few requests. Hearing that, he said he was more than willing to make her final wish come true.

The mom then explained that she wanted the fans changed because they didn’t work properly and she used to suffocate at times. “If you could change the refrigerator too… There were days when I fell asleep hungry because the food had expired…,” she added.

The son was surprised. He thought that his mother wasn’t aware that she was dying. He then asked her why she didn’t tell him all about that before. Now it was too late.

The mother then looked in his eyes and said, “I know I will die, but I think of you when your children won’t want you next to them either… And they will bring you here…Then, you will find better conditions… What you offer is what you get… Don’t forget that.”

These words broke the son’s heart into a million pieces. He knew he made a mistake when he left his mother at the nursing home against her will.

We should never forget that it is our responsibility to make sure our parents spend their golden years in a way that makes them happy.

NBC News correspondent Richard Engel’s son passes away at six years old

NBC News Chief Foreign Correspondent Richard Engel shared the heart-breaking news of his young son’s passing. The six-year-old boy battled Rett Syndrome, a genetic brain disorder which doesn’t have a treatment and is not curable.

Engel announced the devastating news on Twitter and wrote, “Our beloved son Henry passed away. He had the softest blue eyes, an easy smile and a contagious giggle. We always surrounded him with love and he returned it, and so much more.” He signed the tweet, “Mary and Richard.”

The tweet included a link to the Texas Children’s Hospital, which directed visitors of the page to a beautiful memorial written in Henry’s honor. “Henry Engel – a beautiful child and a true hero for fighting Rett syndrome and inspiring researchers to find a treatment – sadly passed away on August 9, 2022.”

The syndrome Henry suffered from can affect “nearly every aspect of a child’s life,” including the “ability to speak, walk, eat, and breathe easily.”

According to the International Rett Syndrome Foundation, this condition affects about 1 in 10,000 females and is even rarer in males.

“Henry was special in so many ways. His loving and endearing smile, and the way he connected with his eyes, stole my heart from the time I met him. His quiet fight against this terrible disease was incredible. We will continue to push as hard as possible to develop treatments. This is how we will honor his life.”

Engel and his wife, Mary Forrest, have been candid about Henry’s medical journey following his diagnosis of Rett Syndrome in 2017. In 2018, Engel opened up about his son’s health condition in an op-ed for Today. He explained how Henry brought so much joy into their lives and described just how special he was.

“None of this means we don’t enjoy our time with Henry. I can’t imagine a child who is shored with more love.”

“We gather on our bed several times a day for what we call ‘cuddle parties,’ where we kid him, rub him, praise him (he loves to hear his name and be praised) and curl his think, gorgeous hair in our fingers,” Engel wrote.

He recalled the special moment when his boy uttered the word “dada” for the very first time.

“For me it was validation, an acknowledgment that he’s in there, knows me, knows that his mother and I are forces for good in his life, and above all, that he loves us.”

The most recent tweet regarding Henry’s health prior to his passing was posted in March, 2022, when Engel wrote that his son’s condition progressed.

As reported by Yahoo! the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute is already using Henry Engel’s cells to try and combat the disorder.

Rest in peace, little one.

Nancy Heche, Anne Heche’s mom, has outlived four of her five children, as well as “secretly gay” husband

Actress Anne Heche lost her life after she suffered severe brain injury following a car crash. She had spent six days at a hospital where she was declared brain dead, but her family made the heart-breaking decision to take her off life support only after a suitable recipient for her organs was found. It was Anne’s wish her organs to be donated in case she passes away and her sons decided to grant her wish.

Anne left behind her two sons, her mother, and her sister.

The relationship between Anne and her mother Nancy Heche hadn’t been picture perfect. In fact, the two didn’t get along, especially when Anne started dating comedian Ellen DeGeneres during the period when same-sex couples weren’t well accepted by the society.

“I didn’t do a studio picture for 10 years. I was fired from a $10 million picture deal and did not see the light of day in a studio picture,” the actress recalled in later interviews.

After Ellen, Anne went on to date other people and she even became a mom of two boys. She married Coleman “Coley” Laffoon, a cameraman, and the two stayed together for eight years. After her divorce, she got romantically involved with Canadian actor and her co-star in “Men in Trees,” James Tupper, with whom she had her second son.

Her latest relationship was that with Hung co-star Thomas Jane, but they called it quits in 2021. Following her passing, Thomas took to social media to offer his condolences. “While Anne and I are no longer an item, today’s tragic news was devastating to me and to all who love her. My heart goes out to Anne and her two sons. As of right now Anne is stable and expected to pull through. My thoughts and prayers are with Anne, one of the true talents of her generation. Thank God no one else was hurt,” he wrote.

Despite she moved on and dated other people since Ellen, Anne’s mom was furious when she learned her daughter was dating a woman because homosexuality was something she condemned as a Christian. On top of it, Nancy’s late husband, who died of AIDS, was secretly gay.

Anne’s father wasn’t only unfaithful, but he also abused his own daughter for many years, something Anne opened up about in her book Call me Crazy. She accused her mother of not doing anything about it, claiming that she couldn’t be unaware of the sexual abuse that was taking place under her roof.

Further, Anne wrote in her book that her mom was a “good Christian” who never questioned her husband. “She didn’t ask questions. She didn’t scream. She didn’t yell.”

Nancy denied Anne’s accusations and said “no place among the lies and blasphemies in the pages of this book.” Further, she added, “I am trying to find a place for myself in this writing, a place where I as Anne’s mother do not feel violated or scandalized.” 

Nancy has had her fair share of heartbreaks and tragedies in her life. This 85-year-old woman lost four of her five children. Her daughter Cynthia died when she was just two months old of heart failure.

Mere months after husband’s passing in 1983, Nancy lost her 18-year-old son Brandon who suffered in a car accident. In 2008, Anne’s sister, Susan Bergman, who was a professor of literature and a writer, lost her life because of brain cancer in 2006 when she was 48 years old.

This year, Nancy lost Anne.

No matter how rough things were between these mother and daughter, it looks like the two got on the same page as Nancy shared a photo of herself and her two daughters in 2013. Judging from the photo, many assumed that Nancy and Anne were finally able to mend their relationship.

Today, Nancy has only one daughter.

Our hearts go out to Nancy Heche and Anne Heche’s family for all that they are going through with her sudden passing.

No one recognises her, even though she used to be a much-loved star

From the moment she took over Hollywood with her performance as Donna Hayward on the ground-breaking television show Twin Peaks, beautiful Lara Flynn Boyle has become many people’s favorite. Dubbed the “It Girl” of the ’90s, Boyle could brag with her lavish lifestyle and the enormous popularity she enjoyed over the years.

Boyle’s personal life has been a tumultuous one. Love and adored by many, she has dated celebs and has been married twice. From 1990 to 1992, Boyle was romantically involved with her Twin Peaks co-star Kyle MacLachlan. Having in mind that the cult series was an enormous hit back in the day, and is still popular even today, it didn’t come as a surprise that their relationship caused quite a stir and attracted the attention of millions.

Then, in 1996, Boyle married her first husband John Patrick Dee III. Their union lasted for two years.

Later, she got involved with actor David Spade before she started dating Jack Nicholson, who was 33 years her senior. Rumors were that Boyle and Nicholson first met while she was still together with Spade when the Chinatown star asked her out in front of Spade while they were smoking marijuana. Spade only learned the two were dating after they were involved in a car crash, covered by paparazzi.

Today, Boyle is married to husband Donald Ray Thomas II, a real estate investor, whom she tied the knot with on December 18, 2006.

During the last couple of years, Boyle decided to step out of the limelight and has only been seen in public on several occasions.

Recently, she was spotted in Los Angeles walking her dog on a leash while wearing a large coat and had dark hair into a low ponytail, which is her signature look.

However, what many noticed is that the actress didn’t resemble her old self which can be seen from the photographs.

The actress who ruled the silver screen in the 1990s gave the impression that she was not wearing any makeup.

Many claim that she had undergone plastic surgeries to alter her appearance, but she didn’t comment on the rumors.

Some time ago, Boyle was spotted holding a bottle of Johnnie Walker Red Label while driving as her car window was only half rolled down.

When it comes to what media outlets write about her, Boyle says she doesn’t pay much attention and doesn’t use a computer or a smart phone so she isn’t much familiar with the rumors surrounding her name.

“His mind is gone” – 85-year-old Jack Nicholson’s health is failing due to Dementia

Having been one of the most critically acclaimed actors there are, with 12 academy award nominations under his belt and a huge number of awards, including the AFI Life Achievement Award and the Golden Globe Cecil B. DeMille Award among the rest, Jack Nicholson leaves most others in the duct.

What makes him one of a kind is his ability to play a wide range of starring and supporting roles, including comic characters, romantic leads, anti-heroes and villains.

When it comes to his personal life, it’s safe to say that The Shining star has led quite a life. Having five children with four different women, Nicholson has always been considered a ladies’ man.

The actor and filmmaker has only been married once, to actress Sandra Knight, with whom he has daughter Jennifer Nicholson, his eldest child.

The marriage ended before even Nicholson reached stardom because Sandra was aware he wouldn’t be faithful to her.

In 1970, the actor became a father to his second child, son Caleb, whom he has with Susan Anspach. He, however, only fully accepted Caleb as his son years later.

His relationship with Winnie Hollman resulted in the birth of his daughter Honey Nicholson. After this, he began a relationship with Rebecca Broussard and the couple welcomed daughter Lorraine and son Ray.

Speaking of co-parenting all of his children with their moms, the actor once said, “It’s a divided parenthood, with their wonderful [mothers] and myself. We’ve always gotten along. I want to be inspirational, or some kind of good influence on them without overburdening them.”

Nicholson has spent most of his life believing that his grandmother was actually his birth mother when in fact he was the son of her daughter June whom they presented to Nicholas as his sister. The actor only learned the truth when a journalist asked him for a comment. Nicholson was shocked at first, to say the least. His mother and grandma took the secret to their graves and he didn’t get the chance to confront them.

“It was pretty dramatic event, but it wasn’t what I’d call traumatizing…I was pretty well psychologically formed,” Jack told People of the revelation.

“I didn’t have to deal with it with them. They were dead. I am that kind of person-what do I feel-and had the tools to know what I feel. Gratitude. I’ve often said about them: Show me any women today who could keep a secret, confidence, or an intimacy to that degree, you got my kind of gal.”

During the last couple of years, the career of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest star has been drawn to a close.

According to people close to him, the actor suffers from memory loss. Media outlets reported in the past that Nicholson was diagnosed with dementia. “There is a simple reason behind his decision — it’s memory loss,” an insider told Radar Online. “Jack has memory issues and can no longer remember the lines being asked of him.”

He “doesn’t leave his house anymore” and his children are reportedly taking care of him, a source shared with Express, “Physically he is fine — but his mind is gone. It’s really sad to see such a super talented actor, like Jack, go out this way.”

It appears that Jack Nicholson’s latest public appearance was at the Kobe Bryant’s memorial, who was his close friend.

It truly is a sad, sad thing to see someone as talented and as successful as Jack Nicholson to completely withdraw from public life.

Days of Our Lives’ Kristian Alfonso married in the same $20,000 dress as ‘Hope’

Gorgeous Kristian Alfonso, best known for her portrayal of Hope Brady on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives, has left the popular show in 2020 after first appearing as Hope back in 1983.

This role brought her immense popularity and made millions fall for her beauty and charm.

Alfonso, whose grandparents come from Italy, has always been proud of her Italian heritage and loves everything related to this beautiful country.

At the age of 10, she won a gold medal in figure skating at the Junior Olympic Figure Skating Championships in 1978 and was considered the most promising figure skater in the world. She was about to conquer the world, but a horrific tobogganing accident, which left her with multiple fractures led to crashing her dreams.

This didn’t stop Alfonso from dreaming big. Instead of feeling sorry for the lost chances, she turned to something that made her happy; modeling.

A modeling agency discovered her, and at the age of 16, she found herself at The Big Apple to pursue a career in the modeling industry. By the time she was 15, she had appeared on the cover of over 30 magazines, among which Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.

At this point in her life, young Alfonso didn’t have any aspirations for acting. She embarked on a journey in the world of film by accident, after she was spotted by a talent scout for NBC who offered her the possibility to be featured in commercials and later in the 1981 movie The Starmaker, in which she starred alongside Rock Hudson.

When she landed the role of Hope in Days of Our Lives, the longest-running scripted television program in the world, Alfonso was 18 years old. Little did she know, however, that this series would become a huge part of her life and something she would always be recognized for.

Needless to say, she turned into a star almost overnight and enchanted audiences from every corner of the world. She and her on-screen partner, Bo Brady, portrayed by Peter Reckell, were nominated for the “Most Irresistible Combination” and won the “America’s Favorite Supercouple” award at the 2002 Emmy Awards.

In 1987, Alfonso felt like having a break from the series and focused on her personal life instead. After dating Simon Macauley, a real estate developer, for some time during the ’80s, the two tied the knot inside the historic Old South Church in Boston. What caught the attention of many was Alfonso’s wedding gown.

What was so special about the pearl-laden gown made of imported Parisian silk designed by Lee Smith? It was the same dress Alfonso wore when her character married Bo in the smash hit series. The dress, as well as Alfonso herself, were simply breathtaking.

Alfonso is also a stepmom to Danny’s son Spartan.

It was in 1994 when this stunning actress returned to Days of Our Life. “Days is my home. I’ve done other things but this role is the best one I’ve ever had,” she said in 2003. 

“Being a mom and a wife is always the first position. My family always comes first,” she told People as she left the show in 2020. ”I feel blessed and honored to have been invited into people’s homes for over three decades. However, it is now time for me to write my next chapter,” Alfonso said at the time.

Even today, at the age of 58, Alfonso looks as stunning as ever and her wit and zest for life are ever present.

When it comes to her appearance, many speculated that it is not possible Alfonso to look the way she does without plastic surgeries. She, on the other hand says she had never undergone under the knife and wants to age gracefully.

“I want my grandchildren to recognise me, and my children,” the 58-year-old actress told The Daily Telegraph in 2014.

“‘I just say to my hubby, you know what honey, I’m just going to age gracefully, I’m too afraid to do anything. In the old pictures they’ll say she’s aged and you know, she’s lived life.”

Robin Williams cried every night and didn’t share wife’s bed in last days after diagnosis

Late actor and one of the best comedians the world has ever heard of, Robin Williams, was greater than life. His inspiring speeches and quotes which touched many hearts reflected the way he lived.

He could make everyone laugh, even while he was going through personal struggles.

Unfortunately, Williams died of suicide on Monday, August 11, 2014, and left millions mourning his death. The news came as a huge surprise. People couldn’t stop but wonder how someone so cheerful and fun could die in such horrific manner. But there was more to the story than met the eye. The autopsy revealed that Williams had Lewy Body Dementia (LBD), a neurological disease in which protein deposits, called Lewy bodies, develop in nerve cells in the brain regions involved in thinking, memory and movement (motor control), and not Prskinson’s disease as doctors claimed during his life.

According to an article by the Mayo Clinic, “people with Lewy body dementia might have visual hallucinations and changes in alertness and attention.”

During the last years of his life, Williams’ health started to fail. The man who could memorize thousands of lines without making a single mistake, started having troubles remembering on set. Unfortunately, that frustrated him a great deal and led to anxiety. “It was a period for him of intense searching and frustration,” Zak said speaking to Max Lugavere for the podcast The Genius Life, as reported by Fox News. “It’s just devastating.

Williams’ wife, Susan Schneider Williams, also opened up about the actor’s misdiagnosis. “All 4 of the doctors I met with afterwards and who had reviewed his records indicated his was one of the worst pathologies they had seen. He had about 40% loss of dopamine neurons and almost no neurons were free of Lewy bodies throughout the entire brain and brainstem,” she wrote for Neurology.

Susan described Williams’ health condition prior to his passing and said it deteriorated and no one knew what to expect next as it all started with the actor experiencing stomach cramps, heartburn, and digestive problems, and later developed a resting tremor in his left hand, which was thought to be brought on by a prior shoulder injury.

According to new reports, the actor’s final days were agonizing and tumultuous, while Susan described it as though her husband was “living a nightmare” …

What followed were issues with his vision and smell, which worried him to the extent that he experienced troubles sleeping, and later, motor disorders that occasionally caused him to freeze in mid-motion.

“Not all of the symptoms will appear at once, like a continuous procession of them,” Susan told New York Times.

“It was similar to a game of whack-a-mole. This month, which symptom is it? Was my husband a hypochondriac, I wondered. We have tried everything as we chase it, but there are no solutions.”

As his condition worsened, Williams and his wife were advised to sleep in separate bedrooms, while Williams himself struggled with reality so much that he even asked Schneider if they were still together.

According to Williams’ friends, he was “taken aback by how he appeared” in the fall of 2013 and looked thinner and fragile.

In her article for Neurology, Susan wrote that after being prescribed antipsychotic drugs, which only made matters worse, her husband was “losing his mind and he was aware of it.”

Robin Williams, widely known for his improvisational skills and the wide variety of characters he created on the spur of the moment and portrayed on film, in dramas and comedies alike, could no longer put up with everything that was going on inside his head and his life. He took his own life and broke millions of hearts. Unfortunately, not many were aware of the demons he was fighting with.

Rest in peace, Robin Williams, your legacy will live on.

Mailman smashes door after hearing a faint voice calling for help

Being a mailman means meeting many new people while on the job, some of which become good friends over the years.

One thing that we all love about these people is that they also often bond with dogs who eagerly wait for them to deliver the mail or a package to their owners because they usually bring treats.

Josh Hafta has been delivering the mail for some years now and he has been on the same route most of the time. Over a period of time, he bonded with some of the people at the neighborhood, among which a 94-year-old woman named Alice Bachke. This elderly lady has been living all by herself and she was looking forward to each meeting with Josh. Very often, she would invite him over for a cup of tea and cookies to chat.

One day, as he was around the neighborhood, Josh knocked on Alice’s door, but no one answered. He was aware she had a hard time walking so he waited for a while. After some time, he heard her voice. She was asking for help.

That’s when Josh entered the place and saw her on the floor. Alice explained that she was in that position from the previous day and spent many hours lying on the floor as she wasn’t able to stand up on her own.

Josh took her in his arms and placed her on a bed after which he called the ambulance. Alice was taken to the hospital and given proper medical help.

Not having anyone in her life, Alice knew that if someone could save her it would be Josh, her only visitor.

She considers him her hero.

Once this story spread around, Josh was given an award for his bravery by the company where he works.

He said he was glad he could help an old friend out and added that he would always be there for her whenever she needs him.

She weighed 60 pounds – After a 5-year-long battle with anorexia this is what she looks like today

Anorexia represents a severe eating disorder that prevents the person suffering from it from eating food because of fear of gaining weight, body image disturbance, and a strong desire to be thin.

These people are excessively underweight, yet, they see themselves as fat and struggle to regain control on their eating habits which are reduced to minimum.

Annie Windley, a 21-year-old woman from Woolley Moor, was diagnosed with anorexia when she was 15. For six long years, she was so underweight that she was on the verge of death. At her lowest weight, Annie weighted just 60 pounds.

Her eating disorder got out of control while attending Monkton Combe boarding school in Bath. That’s when she started avoiding carbs, meat, and dairy and started counting calories. When the time came for her to have a meal, Annie started feeling fear, and that lasted for around six years, until she decided to change her life for the better.

Recalling how severe her problem was, she said, “It got so bad, one time I was sectioned I would scream and bang my head on the wall, I just wanted to leave and not be around food.

“I was even told I was at risk of a heart attack because I was so small.

“I could barely stand up without blacking out, looking back at the pictures I took, I was scary to look at but I just wanted to be smaller and smaller each day.”

In fact, what caused this young woman to realize that food wasn’t her enemy was a single Lindt chocolate.

One day, she forced herself to try a piece, and when she realized that it didn’t affect her weight, she started improving her relationship with food one meal at a time.

“It was crazy to think by eating one part of chocolate I’d instantly gain weight but that day was when I realised eating was not as frightening as I’d made it out to be,” she said speaking to The Sun.

Today, she shares her journey of fighting anorexia as she wants to help people like her to get their life back and start eating healthy and regularly. On her Instagram, she shared photos of her and we must agree that she looks incredibly beautiful today. She has around 12,000 and says it was her friends and family who helped her during her darkest of times.

“I have a boyfriend and new friends now who has helped me so I am not as lonely as I used to be.

“People think it’s about attention seeking but it’s not, it’s hard to explain what you’re going through to someone who does not understand.”

We are so glad Annie managed to win her battle with anorexia.

Dying little boy sat up and said four words, then closed his eyes forever leaving them in tears

Little Nolan was only two years old when his parents learned the devastating news that crushed their hearts in million pieces. Their boy had cancer. Now when his life was just starting, fate decided that he replaced the walks in the park and playing with friends with endless nights at the hospital, undergoing chemo, and vomiting. Every test doctors ran, every time they poked him with needles, a part of his parents’ soul died.

What was ahead of this family was a tough fight against the evil disease. They knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but none ever though of giving up.

After one year of battling with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare soft tissue cancer, Nolan’s condition worsened. His mother was aware things weren’t going to change for the better. Her little fighter couldn’t endure any longer. It was too much for him, and his fragile body had it enough. Once Nolan stopped eating and drinking, the family was told how the cancer spread and the tumors were compressing his bronchial tubes only four weeks after he had an open chest surgery.

How could a mother tell her son that his time with her and the family was coming to an end. The four year old boy wasn’t old enough to understand what was going on and why he was the one to have this disease which was no longer treatable.

She simply didn’t want to believe that she would lose her loving son, and he was way to young for his life to end.

Me: Poot, it hurts to breathe doesn’t it? Nolan: Weeeelll…. yeah. Me: You’re in a lot of pain aren’t you baby? Nolan: (looking down) Yeah. Me: Poot, this cancer stuff sucks. You don’t have to fight anymore. Nolan: (Pure Happiness) I DONT??!! But I will for you Mommy!! Me: No Poot!! Is that what you have been doing?? Fighting for Mommy?? Nolan: Well DUH!! Me: Nolan Ray, what is Mommy’s job? Nolan: To keep me SAFE! (With a big grin) Me: Honey … I can’t do that anymore here. The only way I can keep you safe is in Heaven. (My heart shattering) Nolan: Sooooo I’ll just go to Heaven and play until you get there! You’ll come right? Me: Absolutely!! You can’t get rid of Mommy that easy!! Nolan: Thank you Mommy!!! I’ll go play with Hunter and Brylee and Henry!!

Nolan’s journey and his battle with cancer were documented on the Facebook page his mom Ruth and dad Jonathan created to keep everyone informed of his progress. And now, two months after Nolan went to Heaven, his mother paid him honor and shared her deepest feelings with the world.

“Two months. Two months since I’ve held you in my arms, heard how much you loved me, kissed those sweetie ‘pie’ lips. Two months since we’ve snuggled. Two months of pure absolute hell.”

Nolan was a real fighter from the moment he was born. He accepted that his time on Earth was short and it was heartbreaking to see this little angel preparing his own funeral and filling out his will.

“We laid in bed together and he sketched out how he wanted his funeral, picked his pall bearers, what he wanted people to wear, wrote down what he was leaving each of us, and even wrote down what he wanted to be remembered as… which of course was a policeman.”

Ruth recalls the final moments of her son’s life. The brave boy blessed his mother the way she will never forget.

She never left his side, but that day, she went to the bathroom. Nolan’s uncle was by his side, but the boy was still looking towards the bathroom door and wanted to keep an eye on mom.

Once she shut the door, Nolan shut his eyes. He went into a deep sleep as his right lung collapsed and the oxygen level dropped. A team of doctors was all around the boy.

“Ruth, he’s in a deep sleep. He can’t feel anything.”

Ruth rushed to her son’s side not willing to let go of him, when he gave her the most beautiful gift. It was a real miracle.

“My angel took a breath, opened his eyes, smiled at me and said ‘I Love You Mommy,’ turned his head towards me and at 11:54 p.m. Sgt. Rollin Nolan Scully passed away as I was singing ‘You Are My Sunshine’ in his ear. He woke up out of a coma to say he loved me with a smile on his face! My son died a hero … He was a warrior who died with dignity and love to the last second.”

We will always remember Nolan as the bravest little boy who passed away letting know he loved those around him. He was a very special boy who endured so much during his short life. But he also accomplished a lot. He is our hero.

“Now I’m the one terrified to shower. With nothing but an empty shower rug now where once a beautiful perfect little boy laid waiting for his Mommy.”

We are very sorry for the loss of Nolan’s parents. Rest in peace little man, you will never be forgotten.

Many praised a father of two for what he did in a supermarket

How many people would step up for a complete stranger who is need of help? Sadly, the answer is not many. Those who would, however, are the reason why this world goes around.

A man named Ryan O’Donnell was at the supermarket together with his children doing the groceries.

When they picked up everything they needed, Ryan and his boys approached the register. In front of them there was this elderly lady who was trying to pay for her groceries but her card got declined repeatedly.

Feeling uneasy, Ryan decided to pay for the woman’s groceries because he didn’t want her to leave the store empty-handed. The lady was supposed to pay $44, and without hesitation, Ryan took $50 out of his wallet and asked to pay for her groceries.

The woman couldn’t hide her happiness. She then turned to Ryan to thank him and ask him how she could return the favor, to what Ryan replied, “Don’t worry, have a nice day.”

When Ryan showed kindness and did a good deed, he had no idea somebody was watching and took photos of the encounter.

Once shared on the social media, the photos, along with the story of kindness shred by Ryan, received plenty of attention. A huge number of people praised his action.

Asked why he chose to pay for the woman’s groceries, Ryan told a local medium, “I did what my parents taught me, to help others when I could!”

Imagine what this world would look like if we had more Ryans in it.

Boeing 737 mysteriously spotted in random field and no one knows how it got there

Bali, a province of Indonesia and the westernmost of the Lesser Sunda Islands, is without a doubt one of the most breathtaking places on Earth. It represents a magical blend of cultures, people, nature, activities, weather, culinary delights, nightlife, and a lot more. The fun and sun seekers describe it as the paradise on Earth, and we have to agree with them.

Despite all its natural beauties, there is something else that serves as a tourist attraction in Bali. Believe it or not, it is an abandoned Boeing 737 which simply appeared beside the Raya Nusa Dua Selatan Highway, resting in a limestone quarry. The truth is that no one really knows how the Boeing ended up there, and locals have different stories to tell about it.

Some believe that the plane was brought up in parts and later put together in the deserted location by an entrepreneur who wanted to turn it into a restaurant but then let go of the idea.

However, this isn’t the only abandoned Boeing in the area. Another one lies beside a Dunkin’ Donuts location and just like the first one, this one is a tourist attraction as well.

As this second one is quite easy to locate, the first one is surrounded by a bunch of ship containers and you need a guide to take you to it.

The plane has no branding on it and another legend attached to it says that it used to serve as someone’s home. It landed on the island in 2007 but only started serving as a tourist attraction 11 years later.

In 2021, the residents of Bali noticed yet another jet which is placed on the top of a cliff at the Nyang-Nyang beach.

For this one, it is knows that it belongs to a Russian guy named Felix Demin, who landed the plane there to attract tourists and awake their curiosity. He hopes the place would become a popular spot for photographers and plans to convert it into tourist accommodation.

However, no matter how good Demin’s idea might sound to some, others believe the plane placed atop the cliff could ruin the sea view.

In case you visit Bali and you want to see the Boeing 737 and the rest of the abandoned planes, Tony Dunnell, spokesperson for Atlas Obscura, has a few tips and tricks to share. “The view of the plane is obstructed from the highway, so you need to keep your eyes open, or you could easily miss it. When you come across a wall of sea containers on the side of the road, you have arrived. You can see the plane by climbing up onto the containers that surround it. Or, for a better view, head slightly further down the road where you’ll find a path that leads up above the plane. You’ll have to pay a small fee to enter, as the plane is on private property,” he said.

After Anne Heche’s death details preceding the tragic car crash surface

Actress Anne Heche was switched off life support days after she was pronounced brain death following the accident she suffered on Friday, August 5. She was driving her blue Mini Cooper when she crashed into a home in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Heche’s crash caused a huge fire which took 59 firefighters around 60 minutes to put under control. She remained in coma the entire time before her family made the decision to “peacefully” take her off life support.

As she had always been a supporter of organ donation, the family waited for a suitable donor recipient to be found before they said the final goodbye.

Shortly after she was taken to the hospital following the tragic accident, Heche’s blood was tested and the results showed presence of narcotics in her bloodstream. However, it would take weeks before further analysis help determine what types of drugs it is and to rule out any substances that were administered to her in the hospital. At the time, LAPD Officer Jeff Lee spoke of Heche’s case and explained that “her blood showed signs of impairment and that is why it is now being investigated as a felony traffic collision.”

However, now that she died, there will be no further investigative efforts made in this case, as reported by LAPD.

“Any information or records that have been requested prior to this turn of events will still be collected as they arrive as a matter of formalities and included in the overall case,” they said.

“When a person suspected of a crime expires [dies], we do not present for filing consideration.”

Preceding the accident which cost her her life, Heche appeared in a since-deleted episode of her podcast Better Together, which she co-hosts with Heather Duffy, in which she claimed to have been drinking vodka “with wine chasers” after being “rocked” by a “very bad day,” as reported by ET.

Since the episode aired on Friday, mere hours before the car crash, many believed it was Heche’s drinking and her bad day that had to do with the tragedy. The producer of the podcast, however, claimed that the episode was filmed earlier that week.

As reported by TMZ, Heche’s fatal crash was her third for the evening. According to the site, she first crashed into the garage of an apartment complex and when some of the residents tried to take her out of the vehicle, she went reverse and sped off. A video shows that she nearly crashed into a woman who was walking on the sidewalk while speeding down an alley. Heche’s car didn’t seem to slow down nor the actress made an attempt to swerve in an effort to avoid hitting the woman, who was left in a state of shock.

The third and final crash was when Heche’s Mini Cooper made an impact with the house.

Boy, 8, coughs for FIVE years before doctors find toy logged in his throat

An 8-year-old boy named Marley Enjakovic has spent five long years struggling to breath properly. His parents took him to a bunch of doctors who ran a bunch of tests, and all they could say was that this boy suffered from allergies and even astma, thus he was given medications for those conditions.

Sadly, his breathing didn’t improve. On the contrary, he kept coughing without stopping and couldn’t do any sports because of that.

As his symptoms only worsened in the period of five years, since he first started experiencing them, he was one day urgently admitted to the ICU. It was then that doctors discovered what was causing the coughing. Apparently, Marley swallowed a plastic toy, a tiny flower, that got stuck in his throat and stayed there for five long years. He was operated on and doctors managed to take the arts-and-crafts plastic flower out.

The boy’s mother, Skye, said her son had started to have coughing fits while he ate but as time went on he coughed ‘for hours upon hours’ and ‘it was getting scary.’

When they finally learned what caused Marley’s severe breathing problems, his family was shocked but relieved at the same time.

“I was absolutely shocked. but also really relieved, to be honest, because out of all these years I finally had an answer,” mom Skye said.

“My main concern at that point in time was that he was actually born with that condition.”

“Because if he was born with it, he would have had other issues. To know it was caused by a foreign body, it was a slight bit of relief for me.

“My message to other parents is that if you feel like there is something wrong, just keep pushing for it. 

“I am so glad I did because it means I have him today.”

We are so happy everything turned out for the best for this sweet boy and he can finally live his life to the fullest.

Woman gets $2,500 fine for bringing half-eaten sandwich from Singapore to Australia – ‘I didn’t think I’d done anything wrong’

How much money are you willing to pay for a sandwich? We all know all too well that this fast-food speciality is many people’s favorite, and that includes a woman named Jessica Lee from Australia. Little did this woman know, however, that her half-eaten Subway sandwich would cost her $2,534.

If you wonder how this is even possible, stay with us and hear this woman’s story.

As it turns out, Lee was taking a flight from Singapore to Australia when she felt like having something to eat. So, she got herself a sandwich while transiting through Changi Airport. She ate half of it and decided to keep the other half in case she got hungry again. What happened next is crazy, to say the least.

Exhausted and eager to get back home, she totally forgot about her sandwich. So, the moment she landed in Australia, she was given a A$2,664 (S$2,534) fine because according to the Australian Border Force, food items brought into Australia have to be declared on one’s incoming passenger card and they might also be inspected by biosecurity officers.

Passengers who fail to declare or make false declaration may face a fine of up to A$2,664 for breaching the Biosecurity Act, a spokesperson for the the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry in Australia told News.com.au and added that “All meat products and vegetables must be declared on the Incoming Passenger Card,” calling it a legal declaration.

The spokesperson explained that passenger are reminded of this by the messages printed all over the airports.

Lee, however, said she didn’t feel like she did anything wrong.

Apparently, the problem with Lee’s half-eaten sandwich was that it contained lettuce, which is fresh produce.

Once she shared a video in which she spoke of the incident on TikTok, it vent viral and many believed she didn’t deserve to be fined. Lee on the other hand admitted that it was an oversight on her part and said, “I am very aware this is my mistake and I do take ownership, I am paying the fine. Just an emotional video.” 

As the story went viral, it reached to Subway Australia after someone tagged them in the comments and just days latter, the company “worked magic” and sent Lee a package containing a A$2,664 (S$2,534) gift card, along with some Subway merchandise.

“We hope this covers your chicken and lettuce needs,” the company wrote.

‘Jesse’ from ‘Free Willy’ is now 42 years old and still works as an actor

Free Willy became a high-grossing film widely loved by the audience, and the reasons for that were plenty. This masterpiece, which turned into a classic, taught us all about love, friendship, and the underwater world. At the same time, it raised awareness of wild animals held in captivity, thus melted the hearts of millions of people worldwide. The film grew into a franchise, with a television series and two sequels.

The role of the orphaned boy, Jesse, who befriended the orca was played by child actor Jason James Richter.

This young boy turned into a star almost overnight and received plenty of awards, including the Young Artist Award for Best Leading Young Actor in a Feature Film.

Speaking of the enormous success and the celeb status he earned, Richter told IconvsIcon in 2018, ”I had no clue. It was my first film and I never had any idea of if it would be a success or not. It was amazing to make! Like I said, it was my first film and when you are a kid, you don’t see any of the ugly stuff that happens on set and it’s a positive experience. Everybody who worked on that movie was great and I have totally fond memories of them.”

With his mom being an actress herself, it was natural for Richter to follow into her footsteps. He was never forced into anything, acting was simply something he loved and dreamed of ever since he was just a child. “I’ve been watching these people do this. I know all these words, so I could do that too!” he recalled telling his mom one day.

When he auditioned for the role of Jesse, there were around 4000 children his age who wanted it as well. But Richter was something special. Producer Lauren Shuler-Donner, who cast the unknown Richter, said in 1995, “He’s a young Steve McQueen.”

Meeting Keiko, the orca which played Willy, for the first time was something Richter could never forget. “You don’t see the danger. At 11 years old, you’re just like, ‘Oh my God, a whale! That’s amazing! This will be awesome!’ Had I been 17, I might have been like, ‘Hey, this thing is going to bite my hand off,’ but when you’re 11 you’re just like, ‘Oh, wow. Cool. Let me touch it,’” Richter told Daily Beast in 2013.

Once the movie was released, millions of people donated to the Save the Whales Foundation, whose number was shown on the credits list, and $20 million were raised.

Richter, who became a teen star, moved on to other projects, including guest appearances on “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch,” “Rugrats” and “The Client.”

However, after appearing in Free Willy 3: The Rescue, he decided to leave Hollywood because he felt that he needed a break. He was 18 at the time.

Richter turned to music and performed with various bands before joining Fermata as a bassist.

However, as years went by, he felt nostalgic about acting and guest-starred on “Bones” and ”Criminal Minds.”

In 2013, Richter had his directorial debut with the short film “The Quiet Loud.” He loves working behind the cameras as much as he wants to be in front of it.

In 2017, the actor landed a role in “Last Rampage,” an American crime drama film. Most recently, he starred in “The Little Things,” and “Last Call.”

Richter, who is now 42 years old, runs a podcast together with Dustin Burford, “The Richter Scale,” where they discuss ”random crap from around the world.” He has a net worth of $500,000.

Reaching stardom as such a young age isn’t always easy, but Richer did know how to handle his fame and is still doing what he loves, and that’s being part of the film industry.

Nobody recognizes her now – After her son’s passing terrible days followed for the great actress

Building a career in the world of film and reaching stardom didn’t come easy for actress Linda Gray, who portrayed the legendary role of Sue Ellen Ewing in the hit show Dallas.

In fact, this woman’s life has been filled with both excitement and a number of obstacles, as well as a personal tragedy that changed her forever.

Raised in Culver City, California, Linda was given the chance to spend a bunch of time around the filming studios and it was something she loved. At the same time, she imagined herself working at those places and that’s how she knew she wanted to become an actress.

Linda’s father was a cold person, but he always supported her dreams. Her mother on the other hand was a heavy alcoholic who was under the influence most of the time.

Not surprisingly, Linda didn’t have it easy growing up around her mom.

After starring in commercials and landing minor roles, Linda finally got her big breakthrough with the classic TV series Dallas. She appeared in total of 308 episodes and played alongside Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy.

Linda, who is a recipient of two Golden Globe Awards and a Primetime Emmy Award, went through a personal tragedy in 2020 when she lost her son Jeff Thrasher, who followed into her footsteps and opted for a career in the film industry where he worked as a director and producer. His most recent project was The Junior Chef Showdown, a Canadian reality cooking competition television series, which premiered in 2020 on Food Network Canada.

Among the rest, Jeff worked on the production of the shows The Amazing Race Canada and Canada’s Smartest Person. He directed Furze World Wonders in 2017.

Linda had a hard time coping with the loss. Shortly after his passing, she posted a tribute on the social media, writing, “A celebration of my son Jeff’s life. He was the kindest, funniest, sweetest human being….. he brought the world such love and was loved by everyone! May his journey be a magical one.”

Ever since Jeff’s passing, she wasn’t seen in the public often. Recently, however, she was spotted walking a cart with her glasses on and a visibly aged face. It is obvious that the tragedy took its toll when it comes to how she feels and looks like.

Linda, who will be 82 this year, lives a quiet life in the Valencia suburbs of California, where she owns a farm.

We are so very sorry for Linda Gray’s loss.

Pizza delivery guy gets a huge surprise from complete strangers

The kindness we offer to others might feel insignificant to us, but to those who receive it, it can mean the world. What we should never forget is that every kind deed, no matter how big or small, always goes a long way.

Jeff Lous has quite a story to share. This 22-year-old man had a hard time staying away from drugs, but he eventually managed to turn his life around. He found a job and decided he no longer wanted to depend on his parents’ money.

On most days, Jeff starts working at around 12 p.m., but one particular day, he was asked to start work earlier. He was told that he was about to deliver an order to the Life Point Church. What confused him a bit was that he was asked to enter the church and personally deliver the pizza to the priest. Although he found the request strange, he agreed.

What Jeff didn’t know was that he was about to get a huge surprise from people he has never met.

In a touching video he shared on YouTube, Jeff could be heard saying that a wonderful thing happened to him. With tears of joy running down his cheeks, he explained how the members of the church lined up to tip him. He received $700. He simply couldn’t believe that complete strangers could step in for him in such manner.

Needless to say, his video has been seen by thousands of people who said that it was obvious his words of gratitude were genuine. He wasn’t afraid to show his happiness.

Being in the middle of a process of recovery from drug abuse, this gesture meant the world to this young man.

“I’ve been going through a hard time lately, trying to make a living. I’m amazed to see that people who don’t know me wanted to help me at all costs!” Jeff concluded.

Many people commented on the video because they felt the urge to send Jeff best wishes. “Hope you get clean and turn your life around man. Wishing you nothing but the very best,” one person wrote, while another added, “Stay clean my friend, join that church. God wants you there.”

Daycare teacher leaves a spiteful note in 5-year-old’s lunch box

Francesca Esdon is a loving and caring mom of a five-year-old boy named Kyler. She loves her boy to the moon and back and makes sure she reminds him of that every single day.

One day, before she left him at the Rocking Horse Daycare Center in Texas, she placed a note inside his lunch box which asked from the staff to remind Kyer that his mom is thinking about him and that she loves him.

Seeing the note, Kyler’s teacher decided to write a comment on it. But it wasn’t a nice one. On the contrary, the words she decided to put on Francesca’s note were disrespectful and hurtful, to say the least.

With a black thick ink, the teacher wrote: “No, put him on a diet and go away!” as an answer to Francesca’s message to her boy.

When she picked Kyler up from daycare and took a look at the note, Francesca was in disbelief. She couldn’t possibly understand how could a teacher write such a mean comment.

The following day, she asked to talk to the principal and explained how her feelings were hurt by the teacher’s message. Further, she alerted them of the teacher’s Facebook profile which contained references to drugs, alcohol, and other inappropriate content. 

Eventually, the teacher was fired, but Francesca didn’t receive an apology.

Speaking to ABC7 News, this mother explained how she didn’t feel like her son was safe at the daycare so she decided to send him to another one.
