She became a superstar after ‘The Graduate’ – this is what the ’60s bombshell looks like today, age 83

Katharine Juliet Ross first came to prominence with her role in The Graduate in which she starred alongside Dustin Hoffman. The role earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and a Golden Globe nomination for New Star of the Year.

The film was a huge success, grossing $104.9 million in the United States and Canada and making it the highest-grossing film of 1967. The ending of The Graduate remains a mystery as it shows Benjamin, played by Hoffman, rescuing Elaine, played by Ross, from her wedding. The two are then seen sitting on a city bus with expressions on their faces that not many expected.

“You are always told you just keep going in a scene until the director says ‘cut.’ Well, Mike didn’t say it for the longest time. We ran out of dialogue, but the camera kept running. What do I think? I think Elaine got off at the next stop,” Ross said of the role which turned her into a star.

“[Dustin Hoffman] was this New York stage actor. He looked like he had rolled out from under a rock, he was so pale. He just wanted to get back to some play off-Broadway he was doing. Although we ended up getting to know and like each other, what I thought that first day was, “Oh my God — this guy is dressed all in black, and he is white as a sheet,” Ross recalled in an interview with the Houston Chronicle.

“You know Dustin’s one-time roommate Gene Hackman was cast as my father. I don’t know exactly what the deal was, but he bowed out.”

Ross made professional acting debut in 1962 with the Television role in Sam Benedict and her film debut with Shenandoah along with James Stewart.

At the start of her rich and successful career, Ross appeared in a number of movies, including Hellfighters, Fools, The Final Countdown, A Climate for Killing, and many more, but being an actor during the ’60 wasn’t an easy thing.

“I remember doing a screen test for the only film that Samuel Goldwyn Jr. ever directed: The Young Lovers. It was to star Peter Fonda, but he wasn’t available to do the screen test with me, so they brought in Chad Everett. He didn’t know that the role was cast, and he was putting everything he had into the screen test. I didn’t have the heart to tell him the truth. I went through a series of sessions with a hairdresser to get my look the way Sam wanted it. When they were finished, they had hacked off all of my hair. And they wound up casting someone else,” she once shared with Variety. “I’ll tell you what was great about it,” she continued. “It was a time when the old studio system was in its dying throes, and they were just starting to try new approaches, and the little $1 million budget films were being seen as the way to go. And that did turn out to be the progenitor of a great new era that eventually became the indie film movement.”

In 1969, she landed another very significant role. She was cast in the now-legendary film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, in which she featured in one of the most iconic scenes ever when she balanced on the handlebars of a bicycle pedaled by actor Paul Newman.

For the last 40 something years, Ross has been happily married to actor Sam Elliott. Before tying the knot with him, she was married four times, and with Elliot, she finally found true love.

The two first worked together in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, but he was an extra in the film and didn’t have the courage to approach her. He got smitten by her and it was the start of one of the most beautiful romances Hollywood has ever seen.

“My wife, Katharine Ross, and I both worked on Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, but I didn’t dare try to talk to her then. She was the leading lady. I was a shadow on the wall, a glorified extra in a bar scene,” Elliott told AARP The Magazine in 2015.

“It was a great opportunity, though, because being an extra on the show and being a contract player (with Fox) allowed me to get in and watch ’em make the film. I spent a lot of time over in a dark corner watching Katharine and the rest of ’em work while they were in L.A,” he told The Oklahoman.

Some ten years later, they found themselves working together yet again, this time in the Gothic horror movie The Legacy.

They welcomed daughter Cleo Rose Elliott and went on to starre in a number of films together, including Travis McGee, Houston: The Legend of Texas, and Conagher. In 2017, the two starred together in The Hero, where Elliott starred as an aging Western film star and Ross as his ex-wife.

“I think we just like making movies and having that creative experience together is the best,” Elliott told the Los Angeles Times in 2016.

“It’s just fun. It’s a whole different kind of energy to go home with some you’re working with rather than go home to somebody who isn’t working. It’s a totally positive experience.”

Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Speaking of the secret to a long and happy marriage, Elliot once said, We have a common sensibility, but we also work at being together. You work past the s–t; you don’t walk away from it. That’s how relationships last.”

Michael Halterman, star of ‘1000-Lb. Sisters” has filed for divorce from Amy Slaton

Amy Slaton, the star of the reality series 1000-Lb. Sisters, and her husband Michael Halterman are untying the knot.

Court documents revealed that it was Michael who filed for divorce as the couple was constantly arguing over the last couple of months, as reported by The Sun. Allegedly, Amy insisted that they boys continue appearing on the show and Michael was against it. “Michael doesn’t want the kids to be on the show, but Amy disagrees,” a source told the publication. They added that Michael had been acting ‘jealous’ over the attention Amy was giving to their children.

The news of the pair’s separation comes less than a year after they welcomed their second son, Glenn, in July 2022. At the time Glenn was born, Amy said their family is complete. “The wait is finally over … Michael and I are happy to announce the birth of our son, Glenn Allen Halterman,” she shared with People. “The delivery was a huge success and now I have both of my miracle boys; our family is complete!”

Amy and Michael have known each other since they were children. During high-school, they dated for some time and then they met again and tied the knot in 2019. “We actually met when I was eight so we were dating then, but then when he turned 18, we stopped dating until recently,” Amy once explained. “He loves me and supports me. He don’t care how much I weigh, how much I lose. He don’t care. He just wants me and the babies to be healthy. He’s excited about being a dad again, [but] secretly he wanted a girl.”

Allegedly, Amy and her sons moved in with her sister Tammy, also a star of the reality show, back in February when they started experiencing marital issues.

Tammy, who had just recently exchanged vows with new husband Caleb Willingham, is allegedly not happy with Amy and her children living with her. “Tammy is happy to help Amy but feels like she is raising two kids since they’re around her home all of the time,” a source said, as reported by Daily Mail.

The Sprouse Twins today: Inside their life now, at 30

Dylan and Cope Sprouse have been in the spotlight almost all their lives. When they were just 8 months old, the beautiful twins with enchanting blue eyes found themselves being part of commercials, films, and TV shows. The two notably shared the role of Patrick Kelly in the series Grace Under Fire from 1993 to 1998 and became people’s favorites.

Just as the Olsen sisters, the Sprouse twins shared plenty of roles due to child labor laws that prevent children from working too many hours.

They had their big breakthrough in 1999 when they both starred alongside Adam Sandler in the film Big Daddy and stole the hearts of millions of people with their perfectly timed lines and incredible performance.

Speaking with People about Sandler, Cole said in 2022, “Perhaps I’m a bit biased because I’ve known him for ages, but I do admire his career. He’s got a really, really wonderful balance between art and commerce that I think is the currency of a real working actor.” He continued, “He’s walking that line beautifully and he’s raising up all of his friends at the same time, which I think is incredible.”

In 2020, Cole went on to play on his own when he was cast for the role of Ross Gellar’s son, played by David Schwimmer, in the iconic series Friends.

Speaking of his favorite episode, Cole revealed it was The One with the Holiday Armadillo. “I remember that quite well. I was infatuated with the costumes, and the practical effects that they had,” he said. “I’m pretty sure I fell in love with Jennifer Aniston, which the whole world had at that point. But I do remember being quite intimidated around her, because of that. I remember blanking on my lines and having kind of stage fright when she sat next to me on the couch in one episode,” Cole revealed in an interview with Today.

The brothers then shared yet another role, that of young Pistachio Disguisey in the film Master of Disguise.

However, landing The Suite Life of Zack and Cody in 2005, in which they played twin brothers who live in the lavish Tipton Hotel with their single mom, helped place them on the map as full-fledged child stars. The series ran until 2008 and was followed by The Suite Life on Deck, which ran until 2011.

Following the series, Dylan and Cope both took time off acting in order to attend university. While Dylan studied video game design, his twin brother Zack turned to humanities and archaeology.

“I needed to take a break and step outside myself, I needed a dose of reality, and I needed to see myself in a more objective point of view. And now I think I can enjoy [acting], which is a really fundamental part about being an actor,” Cole said. “I’m not saying that we didn’t enjoy that time, but it was work. It’s a career and a business, and it got me to college, which is one of the most fantastic gifts I could’ve been given. But I’m glad to be [acting] on my own accord now.”

Shutterstock

After graduation, these handsome brothers returned to acting. Cole, who is currently dating French-Canadian model Ari Fournier, landed the role of Jughead Jones on Riverdale, and Dylan, who is engaged to the Sports Illustrated model, Barbara Palvin, started out in films like Dismissed and Banana Split.

“It’s more likely that I will write something for us to work in together, rather than someone approach us. Twin movies are never good! That’s just the universal truth I think the universe has given to us, and so if we can find the right thing then, yeah,” Dylan said in 2020.

These two actors grew up just before our eyes and we are glad they both have successful careers in the world of film.

Choir teacher hides wedding from all students, fearing disapproval – but then they show up

Children have the purest souls. It is only throughout the years that they learn to be judgmental, which is a sad reality we often want to change.

A group of middle school chorus students from the Hingham Middle School Junior Choral Spectrum in Massachusetts did something impressive for their teacher who was about to get married and left him in tears of joy. Namely, director Christopher Landis, whom children adore, was set to marry his then-fiance Joe Michienzie.

YouTube / MassLive

Having done so much for them, they wanted to repay him for being an awesome teacher so they came up with the idea to surprise him with a lovely rendition of All You Need Is Love by The Beatles.

They rehearsed for a months without Landis’ knowledge and when the day of Landis’ wedding rehearsal finally arrived, they were ready to put their hard work into practice.

YouTube / MassLive

The moment they students walked in, Landis was overwhelmed. He couldn’t believe that “his kids,” as he refers to them, would go to such length for him. As they started singing, tears of joy started rolling down his face.

You can take a look at the heartwarming surprise in the video below.

This Bond girl bombshell starred with Sean Connery in ‘Diamonds Are Forever’ – This is her today, aged 82

When she landed the iconic role of Tiffany Case in Diamonds Are Forever, actress Jill St. John made history by playing the first American Bond Girl ever. However, her career stared way before she landed this role and continued long afterward. Over the years, Jill starred alongside some of the most handsome men of Hollywood, including Sean Connery, Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin, Robert Wagner, who is her husband of over 30 years, and even Adam West.

Jill, who was born Jill Oppenheim in 1940 in Los Angeles, signed with Universal Pictures at age 16 and made her film debut as a perky support in Summer Love (1957). Besides being extremely skilled at acting, Jill possessed plenty of other talents, as well as IQ of 162. Being a gifted child, she enrolled at UCLA at the age of 15.

Silver Screen Collection/Getty Images

“If I hadn’t stopped my education for an acting career, I would be doing something very important today. I would have been a marine biologist,” Jill told the Central Associated Press in 1971. By the time her short stay at UCLA had come to an end, she had already made guest appearances on shows such as Cavalcade of America, The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show, and Sky King.

As her acting career started early in her life, her love life has too. Jill married her first husband, Neil Dubin, at the age of just 17. Their union only lasted for a year. When she turned 19, she married her second husband, millionaire Lance Reventlow, son of Woolworth heiress Barbara Hutton. Sadly, three years into the marriage, Lance died in a devastating plane crash. “Much of Lance stayed with me,” Jill said. “We remained friends as long as he lived.”

From 1967 to 1969, gorgeous Jill was married to singer Jack Jones.

Eventually, years later, she found love again when she married fellow actor Robert Wagner.

At the time she filmed Diamond are Forever, Jill was single but was linked to several men, including South American millionaire playboy Francisco Pignatari, Italian jewelry magnet Gianna Bulgari, and American diplomat Henry Kissinger. At one point, she was even romantically linked with Frank Sinatra.

The role of Tiffany Case, a glamorous jewelry smuggler, in the 007 film, turned Jill into an actress directors fought to have in their movies. She enjoyed a lavish lifestyle and enormous popularity, but then, she wanted out of Hollywood.

“I’ve been getting tied down, and I refuse to be,” Jill said then. “I must have the full freedom to come and go as I please. My house in Beverly Hills is much too large for one person, and the responsibility of looking after it has become a stone around my neck.”

She added: “I no longer need to act in films to pay my bills. I’ve had good fortune in my investments, and I can afford to wait forever, if necessary, or a role that appeals to me.”

Shutterstock

Jill sold her house and bought herself a new home in Aspen, Colorado.

“I took time off just to enjoy living,’ Jill said. “I worked once a year so my name wouldn’t be forgotten. And I launched my Smith-St. John sweater company. I made some investments, and I traveled all over,” she told UPI in 1983.

“The six-year respite was good for me. I love skiing, hiking, and rafting, but it got to be too much of a good thing, I began to lose touch with show business. I don’t even get television reception at my house, I read books.

“Can you believe this? I agreed to appear in an episode of Magnum. P.I and I had never seen the show. When I arrived in Hawaii, I had never laid eyes on Tom Selleck. When I returned to Aspen, I realized that I missed acting and decided to go for a full-time career again. I wanted to make a commitment to acting.”

Shutterstock

When she returned to acting, Jill appeared in the 1982 prison drama The Concrete Jungle and later on in some cameo roles, such as in the now-classic 1989 Seinfeld episode “The Yada Yada” in which she starred alongside Robert Wagner, whom she dated at the time.

Before they started dating, Jill and Robert had already knew each other. When his wife, Natalie Wood, drowned off Catalina Island, California, Jill sent him a note and flowers. Months later, they had dinner together, and the rest is history. The two tied the knot in 1990 and are still together.

Today, Jill St. John is 82 and looking as stunning as ever, despite her age. She also showed that she is great at cooking and even appeared as a TV chef and cooking expert on Good Morning America and contributed as a food columnist for USA Weekend.

“My wife was a Bond girl, in Diamonds Are Forever,” Wagner says of her. “So I play James Bond in real life every day.”

Stop buying tomatoes – Use these 4 smart methods to grow an endless supply

The benefits of including tomatoes in your diet are numerous. They are a great source of vitamin C, potassium, folate, and vitamin K, among the rest, and help fight numerous diseases and conditions. For one, they are good for the skin because they contain a high level of lycopene. Next, they contain nutrients that are essential in strengthening and performing minor repairs on the bones as well as the bone tissue. Further, tomatoes are great antioxidants and help prevent certain heart issues.

Now, if you love tomatoes, maybe it’s time that you start grow them yourselves.

Below are four smart methods of growing an endless supply of tomatoes.

1. Bury tomato slices

One way of growing tomatoes in your home is by cutting one tomato into slices and placing them on top of a container filled with potting soil. Once you do this, cover the slices with more soil and make sure you keep it moist. It will take around a week or two for them to sprout. Once this happens, find the strongest sprouts and put them in a separate pot in order to provide even more space for growing. Check on them every few weeks and enjoy your home-grown tomatoes.

2. Plant them in the ground

If you have a yard, plant tomato seeds directly in the ground. All you need is enough sunlight. Planting your tomatoes this way requires less watering.

3. Grow them in a Window Box

If you live in urban setting, you may want to consider growing your tomatoes in window boxes. These are ideal for growing tomatoes because they receive a lot of sun and are easy to water. The plant can be supported by a string trellis drilled into the wall. To make this strategy work, you need to use smaller tomato varieties.

4. Grow them in a Hanging Basket

Growing tomatoes in hanging baskets takes less space but more water because the water in these baskets evaporates more quickly than it does in a pot. If you choose this type of planting it would be best to choose cascade cherry tomato variety.

Women approach tombstone thinking no one can see, only there’s a camera trained on them

When we lose a member of the family, we are left grief-stricken and desperately try to find ways to cope with the sorrow and the sadness. Many of us feel a bit relieved when we visit the graves and leave mementos. We believe that’s one way of paying tribute to those who left this world.

Unfortunately, there are people out there who don’t respect even the dead. Two women from Ohio were seen stealing mementos from the New London’s Grove Street Cemetery. The grisly act was caught on the surveillance camera and the community is left in complete shock.

One of the many things these thieves stole is a flower pot a woman gave to her father back in 1977. She says it may not cost much, but to her it’s the most priceless thing as it reminds her of her late parent.

The women could be seen casually walking back and forth the cemetery, taking everything they wanted without feeling guilty for their actions. Luckily, they were very soon identified and charged with theft.

One of them was said to be elected fiscal officer in the nearby Sullivan Township, and honestly, that fact is pretty concerning. Why? Because someone holding a position of trust should have known better than stealing from dead people.

What a despicable act!

After losing loved ones, the cast of ‘Little People, Big World’ is devastated by tragedy

When Little People, Big World aired some 15 years ago on TLC, it was a true refreshment which influenced many to reconsider the way they see and treat people with dwarfism. The stars of the reality, the Roloff family, helped raise awareness about the people with their condition, and thanks to them, many stereotypes surrounding those with achondroplasia, a genetic disorder whose primary feature is dwarfism, are now challenged a great deal.

Amy and Matt Roloff are parents of four. Their son Zach has dwarfism just like his parents, while the rest of the children, Jeremy, Molly, and Jacob, are of average height.

Since the first episode, which aired back in 2006, a lot has changed in the lives of the Roloffs. Fans watched as the children grew up, went to college, and started their own lives. Except for Zach, they all decided to leave the show behind and move on.

Since the time we got to meet this beautiful family, a lot of things have changed. Sadly, over the years, they faced tragedies.

Matt lost his father recently. Ronald James Roloff was 84 at the time of his passing. He died of chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

“A sad week for the Roloff Family.. my dad… affectionately known as ‘papa’ to his 10 grandchildren and his 10 great grandkids peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior yesterday evening.

“Ron was an amazing Husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and inspiration to many.

“He literally loved people and anyone who ever came in contact with him knows that! His love for Jesus was so evident throughout his entire life and certainly in his final hours.”

Back in 1999, Matt lost his brother, Josh Roloff, who died at the age of just 34. However, although decades have passed by since his tragic passing, the Roloffs never forgot him. They even dedicated their book Little Family, Big Values to him, writing: “A great son, brother, uncle and friend who was with us in this life for far too short a time. We all miss you and think of you every day, and we look forward to being reunited with you one day in the presence of our Lord.”

When Amy, now Matt’s ex-wife, got engaged to Chris Marek, it was a new chapter in her life. But sadly, around the same time, she lost her mother.

“The last two weeks have been a roller coaster ride. Happy and sad. Chris asked me to marry him and I couldn’t be happier,” she revealed.

“So sad because a few days later my father told me mom was in the hospital and a day later my sister told me mom had passed away. She died on the 24th. My heart broke, I cried and sadness came upon me. I didn’t know what emotions to feel.”

Matt and Amy’s son Jacob married Isabel in 2019. Seven years prior, Isabel lost her brother in a train accident but she wowed she would make sure her children know everything about their uncle. Isabel also lost her mother Toni Garreton in 2014 to breast cancer.

“Grief is an interesting beast. You can be fine one minute and the next you’re driving down a road in your hometown that you drove countless times with your mother, and the ache hits you so hard you have to slam on your brakes,” Isabel wrote in September 2014. “I swear I could smell her perfume in that moment. Hear her laugh. All of it means I loved her well. Knew her well. All of the memories come flooding back because they were mine to keep of her. We were inseparable. And this road I drove with her I will drive many times again and miss her, all the same, each time,” Isabel wrote.

Stray cat refuses to eat unless food is in a bag: 1 day they follow her and discover her secret

There is nothing a mother wouldn’t do for their little ones. A dog, a cat, or a human, does it make any difference? An incredible story about one cat mother went viral and it touched the hearts of many.

Namely, a woman was feeding the stray cats every single day. Among them was a cat she named Dongsuk.

Dongsuk would always eagerly wait to munch on her portion of food, but all of a sudden, that changed. While the rest of the cats ate the food, she would just stare at them. One day, the woman put the food in a small beg which Dongsuk grabbed with her mouth. She then headed somewhere with it.

YouTube

As this behavior was quite strange, the woman decided to follow the cat one day. When she realized what Dongsuk did with the food, her heart melted.

It turned out that Dongsuk was a mammy of a tiny kitten. In fact, she gave birth to five babies, but only one of them survived. The little one looked exactly like its mom.

Once she approached the little one, the mommy cat opened the bag of food. The kitten ate until her belly was full and it was only then that Dongsuk started eating herself.

YouTube

The woman was so moved by the sight that she decided to do something for the mom and her baby.

Jerry Springer’s last promise and cause of death revealed

CAMBRIDGE, CAMBRIDGESHIRE - NOVEMBER 05: (EXCLUSIVE COVERAGE) Jerry Springer posing for a portrait before his Cambridge Union address at The Cambridge Union on November 5, 2015 in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. (Photo by Chris Williamson/Getty Images)

Jerry Springer, a journalist, actor, lawyer, former Cincinnati mayor, and the host of one of the most controversial talk shows, The Jerry Springer Show, died Tuesday at the age of 79.

Weeks prior to his passing, he posted a photo of himself on social media along with a heartbreaking promise.

His show, which aired for 27 years, turned him into a talk show titan known worldwide. It featured provocatively sensational topics such as infidelity and unusual fetishes and dysfunctional families. The show was so controversial that Springer himself once apologized for it saying it “ruined the culture.”

However, besides being dubbed “trash TV” by the critics, and even being ranked as the worst show of all time by TV Guide, the show has attracted millions of viewers.

Just weeks before he died, Springer shared a final social media post from Tampa, Florida, where he attended the Rough Riders St. Patrick’s Parade. In the post, he shared with his followers that he had a great time, and added, “I’ll be back.”

Following his passing, a spokesperson for the family shared that the talk show host died peacefully at home after a “brief illness.” TMZ has reported that Springer suffered from pancreatic cancer, which was later confirmed by a person close to the family. Rabbi Sandford Kopnick of The Valley Temple in Cincinnati said that Springer’s illness came on suddenly and that he passed away from cancer, which he had not been diagnosed with for an extended period of time, as per People Magazine.

“Jerry’s ability to connect with people was at the heart of his success in everything he tried whether that was politics, broadcasting or just joking with people on the street who wanted a photo or a word,” Jene Galvin, a family spokesperson and friend of Springer’s, said in a statement, per AP. “He’s irreplaceable and his loss hurts immensely, but memories of his intellect, heart and humor will live on.”

The Jerry Springer Show Instagram shared a tribute to the late host with Springer’s famous sign-off catchphrase: “Take care of yourself and each other.”

Many of his fans sent messages of condolences by commenting under Springer’s last social media post.

“Thank you for decades of entertainment,” one user wrote.

“He basically raised me on sick days and days I didn’t feel like going to school,” another said.

Rest in peace, Jerry Springer, you will never be forgotten.

Despite her husband’s repeated requests, this woman hasn’t had a haircut in 25 years

There comes a time in life when we feel the urge to change something about our appearance. Whether it is the dull hairstyle we’ve had for years or the clothes we got tired of, a little change is always refreshing.

A woman named Rosa Ramirez from the United States felt it was just a time for such a change after not having had a haircut in 25 years. Her hair grew so long that she sometimes stepped on it.

Over the years, her husband tried to convince her to change her hairstyle, but she refused to do that as she was very proud of her 1.5 meters long hair.

After 25 long years, she finally decided it was enough so she went to a hairdresser together with some of her friends and had her hair cut up to her shoulders. But she did that with a purpose. Rosa donated 4 feet of hair to the non-profit organization Locks of Love that makes wigs for children who lost their hair to cancer.

Rosa’s transformation is so worth watching. You can check it out in the video below.

High schooler takes off his helmet and grabs a guitar to sing national anthem

One thing Americans have deep respect for, besides the flag and their veterans, is the national anthem. The Star Spangled Banner served as the hymns of U.S. officialdom before 1931 and for those of you not familiar with its origins, the lyrics come from the Defence of Fort M’Henry, a poem written in September 1814 by amateur poet Francis Scott Key.

Key witnessed the bombarding of Fort McHenry by British ships of the Royal Navy in Baltimore Harbor during the Battle of Baltimore and it is this event and the gorgeous U.S. flag that inspired the creation of the lyrics every proud American knows by heart.

The anthem is performed before every significant event, including sports.

As the players of Arundel High School, Maryland, were getting ready for a match, Jackson Dean Nicholson, a senior defensive end, was about to blow everyone’s mind with what is considered by many one of the most touching performances of the national anthem ever.

YouTube

Instead of letting the hymn be played on loud speakers, he took his helmet off, grabbed his guitar, and let magic unfold in the presence of those who attended the match.

His incredible performance spread on the Internet like a wild fire and people praised him for his singing abilities and his courage to stand in front of so many people and undertake such a demanding and significant task.

This performance took place back in 2018, but the fact that it is still relevant today speaks of how much people loved it.

“It was very cool. I probably knew 90 percent of the people sitting in those stands, and they had no idea I was doing it ‘til I brought my guitar out,” Nicholson, who took the stage name Jackson Dean since he went viral explained to the Baltimore Sun.

As of his football career, he said at the time, “This is my last year, then I’m done. I’ve got until January, I’ll have all my credits done, and I only have to be enrolled for this semester. I got a waiver by my principal and she’s very supportive of what I do. I’m going to go for it.”

Nicholson has been writing and singing songs since he was a freshman, and around the time he performed the anthem, he was working on his album.

We wish this young man a successful career in the world of music.

The story behind a heartbreaking image of a 6-year-old boy saying goodbye to his dying sister

There is no worse heartbreak than that of losing a child. That sort of grief doesn’t compare to any other, and unfortunately, it never fades away.

There are many people out there who are left heartbroken with the news that their children suffer from certain condition or disease and fighting the battle against those illnesses can be hard and exhausting, but as long as parents knows there is hope for their child to recover, they will never give up.

Adalynn “Addy” Sooter was just four years old when she was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a rare tumor that starts in the brain stem. Sadly, the chances were dull and the family was told to be ready for the worst.

After 18 months, Addy’s health declined rapidly as the cancer spread. Her father Matt, who started a Facebook page where he documented his little girl’s journey, wrote: “Addy’s symptoms have progressed rapidly over the past day and a half. Yesterday she woke up as her spunky playful self. While we still see short instances of our girl she can no longer eat or swallow without difficulty and she’s sleeping most of the time now and we’ve admitted her into inpatient care. Most likely she doesn’t have much time left.”

Matt also asked from family and friends to pray for their son Jackson who had a really hard time coping with his sister’s illness. “A little boy should not have to say goodbye to his partner in crime, his play mate, his best friend, his little sister,” Matt wrote.

Jackson never left his sister’s side. He stood by her until the very end. One night, just as he said goodbye to his little sister and reminded her once again how much he loved her, Addy passed away.

Devastated Mark shared the heartbreaking news on the page dedicated to Addy.

“She passed from this life to the next just as she had lived: stubbornly but also peacefully, and surrounded by family. She wasn’t in any pain at the end,” the post read. “While this is only goodbye for now we miss our baby girl terribly.”

Facebook

In “hopes of saving future children from a similar fate,” the family donated Addy’s tumors, both brain and spine, to scientific research.

“Our sweet girl loved helping people and giving gifts so we thought this would be an excellent way of showing her giving heart,” they wrote in a Facebook post.

We are so very sorry for this family’s loss. Our thoughts and prayers go to them during their time of gried.

More sad news for Shannon Doherty

In the midst of her 4-stage cancer battle, actress Shanned Doherty files for divorce from husband Kurt Iswarienko as there were no other options left, her representative told Page Six.

“Divorce is the last thing Shannen wanted. Unfortunately, she felt she was left with no other option,” Charmed star’s representative, Leslie Sloane, said in a statement.

“You can contact Kurt’s agent, Collier Grimm at PICTUREKID, as she is intimately involved,” she added.

This statement triggered rumors that Kurt’s ‘involvement’ in the divorce suggests that he has been unfaithful.

Previously, when she shared with the world that her cancer went into remission in 2017, Shannen said that her battle against the disease had changed her marriage to Kurt for the better.

Cancer solidified us,” she said. “Kurt and I have a much deeper appreciation for each other now.”

Sadly, the cancer returned in February 2019 and it progressed to stage four. Ever since she got the devastating news, Shannen is openly speaking of her battle and her condition.

During an interview that aired on Good Morning America, the actress said, “Our life doesn’t end the minute we get that diagnosis. We still have some living to do.” Such encouraging words coming from a celebrity can mean the world to people who are experiencing the same.

Of course, learning that the evil disease was back wasn’t something she could accept easily and said it was “a bitter pill to swallow in a lot of ways.” But Shannen is a fighter, and she fights hard. This incredible woman is optimistic despite the cancer spreading from her breasts to her spine. Giving up is never an option, and that’s a lesson we should all live by no matter how hard things get.

For an interview with Elle, Shannen reminded everyone that what truly matters in life are the small things. “I try to treasure all the small moments that most people don’t really see or take for granted. The small things are magnified for me. We have this endless well within us, and it’s just about continuing to dig in that well for the strength to face adversity—and so that we can also see all the beauty.”

According to the documents filed by the former Beverly Hills 90210 star, she and Kurt split in January.

There is reportedly no prenup between the couple, who have been married since October 2011 and share no children.

Kurt is Shannen’s third husband. She was previously married to actor Ashley Hamilton from 1993 to 1994 and poker player Rick Salomon from 2002 to 2003.

We’re sending strength and love to Shannen Doherty at this difficult time.

Caitlyn Jenner pays tribute to mother, Esther Jenner, one day after she passed away

Caitlyn Jenner announced the passing of her mother, Esther Jenner.

The 73-year-old Olympic gold medalist shared her heartbreak through an emotional Instagram post.

“I am heartbroken to announce my mom passed away yesterday morning, peacefully. Losing a mother is unique in the sense that she is the only person that loved me my entire life,” Caitlyn wrote.

Posting several pictures of her beloved mother, who was a “few weeks shy” of her 97th birthday at the time of her passing, Caitlyn showed her love for her late mother and wrote, “I will miss her tremendously.”

When Caitlyn transitioned in 2015, Esther supported her publicly.

“It takes so much courage to do what she’s doing,” Esther told People in June 2016. “When I first saw [Caitlyn], all I wanted to do was give her a big hug.

“I love her,” she said at the time. “And she’s happy. That’s all that matters.”

When Caitlyn was excluded from the Hulu series, The Kardashians, Esther said, “I think that Kardashian show is the most senseless thing I have ever watched,” and added: “But my two granddaughters, Kendall and Kylie, created it, and I love them dearly.” Further, Esther told The Sun, “They’re my blood. And my four step-grandchildren — Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, and Robert — feel like they’re mine, too.”

Esther never left her son-turned-daughter’s side and she was even featured in the shows I Am Cait, which ran for two seasons between 2015 and 2016, and Untold: Caitlyn Jenner, a five-part docu-series that was released in August 2021. Previously, Esther appeared in Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

“It seems as though when people start to have more understanding, the stigma of being different goes away. To me, that’s the beauty of [Caitlyn] giving herself permission to do this because—like for any of us—once you’ve seen something over and over again, you get more used to it, right?” Esther once said.

Messages of condolences came pouring in. “So very sorry to hear that. That is truly heartbreaking sending you love, thoughts and prayers,” one person wrote.  “She loved you for you! rest in peace mama jenner!” another added.

Rest in peace, Esther. Our thoughts and prayers go to Caitlyn Jenner and her family.

Man buys ‘uncomfortable’ ottoman from thrift store for $70 – makes jaw-dropping discovery inside cushion

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, they say, and this saying turned out to be true many times before. An elderly man named Howard Kirby, who is passionate about shopping at a second-hand store in Owosso, Michigan, knows this best.

As he was about to get some things for his man’s cave back in 2019, Kirby decided to take a look at what the Habitat for Humanity ReStore had to offer. There, he spotted a used couch and matching ottoman which cost around $70. That seemed like a great offer so he decided to go for it.

Once he placed the items he purchased in his man’s cave, Kirby noticed that the ottoman didn’t feel comfortable to sit on. At first, he ignored it, but one day, he and his daughter decided to unzip one of the cushions in order to fix it. To their surprise, they found a box inside of it.

YouTube – WNEM TV5

Perplexed by the discovery, they carefully opened the box and found money inside.

Upon counting it, they realized there were total of $43,170 there.

Needles to say, they were both shocked. “I still have to pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming or something,” Kirby told WNEM.

As he was the one who in fact purchased the ottoman and the one who found the money, he could easily keep it for himself. Being a new retiree who lost a kidney, Kirby could use the money to fix the roof of his house. As his son also lost his job, things were hard, but being a good Christian, he still decided to track the owner down and return the money.

Credit – GoFundMe

“Being a born-again Christian, Christ in me is the one that actually gave the money back,” he said. “Remember the bracelets, WWJD? Well, that’s what Jesus would do.”

Kirby contacted the store, and shortly after, they gave him information of the person who owned the couch and the ottoman he bought.

The rightful owner turned out to be Kim Newberry who offered to repay Kirby for his good deed and repair the roof of his house, but Kirby kindly declined the offer as Habitat for Humanity and a local builder had already made plans to give Kirby a new roof in return for his generosity.

“I don’t know how to say it, I’m blessed,” Kirby told M Live. “I’m blessed beyond words.”

Once the story spread around, people close to Kirby started a GoFundMe which helped raise $15,000 for this incredible man.

“I’m blessed beyond words,” Kirby said. “I have had so much peace, so much joy because I did do it, that $43,000 never could buy that much joy or peace or happiness.”

It is because of people like Howard Kirby that our faith in humanity is restored.

Kevin Costner told ‘just stick to acting’ by Yellowstone boss, sources claim

Fans of the American neo-Western drama television series Yellowstone, which follows the conflicts along the shared borders of the Yellowstone Ranch, a large cattle ranch, the Broken Rock Indian reservation, Yellowstone National Park and land developers, seems to be coming to an end.

Rumors are that the lead actor, Kevin Costner, who plays the role of John Dutton III, and Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan don’t get along and that is the reason why the series is wrapping up despite its immense popularity.

A source told the Daily Mail that “Certain people in charge of the production developed a God complex,” referring to Sheridan. It was reported that Paramount’s blockbuster Western series is set to end after the upcoming second half of its fifth season aired.

Shutterstock

Apparently, Costner raised concerns regarding the direction the series was going but was told by Sheridan to “stick to acting.”

The source divulged: “Kevin will forever be proud of and grateful for Yellowstone and the cast is like family to him.

“He just felt like Yellowstone is headed in a direction that was not in line with their initial vision and he was met with criticism, including that he should just stick to acting.”

Per the New York Post, Costner now wants to focus on other projects. “It’s the same as with any show runner and big star — there’s respect, but there’s friction,” a source told the publication.

Shutterstock

At the time being, Costner, who recently earned a Golden Globe Award for best actor for his portrayal of John Dutton, is directing and starring in Horizon, a western film series consisting of four separate movies which are to be released three months apart from each other.

Allegedly, Costner plans to film for just a week on the second half of season five of Yellowstone. According to his attorney, Marty Singer, this wasn’t true. “As everyone who knows anything about Kevin is well aware, he is incredibly passionate about the show and has always gone way above and beyond to ensure its success,” Singer told Puck News.

Kathy Hutchins / Shutterstock.com

Major delays in the production were another reason why Costner and Sheridan ‘argued’ over. These delays have been a result of Sheridan’s ‘overburdened’ schedule. When Costner made himself available for filming, the scripts weren’t ready yet.

“Kevin’s been extremely cooperative with working with Taylor and his production company, 101 Studios. They were supposed to shoot the second chapter of Season five late last year, but they just didn’t have the scripts,” a source told the Post.

“Kevin had already committed to making his other movies. He had given the producers his schedule. There was nothing to shoot,” the source added.

We hope the issues between Costner and Sheridan will be resolved and the shooting will continue as planned.

Tucker Carlson abruptly parts ways with Fox News

Fox News abruptly announced on Monday the end of right-wing commentator Tucker Carlson‘s run on the network. The reason for the departure has not yet been provided.

“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” the announcement read. “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”

Carlson’s last broadcast was on Friday 21 April, when the host of the primetime show Tucker Carlson Tonight was seen eating pizza and saying, “We’ll be back on Monday.”

Carlson talked about a large variety of topics including dropping testosterone levels, increasing rates of suicide, unemployment, drug addiction and social hierarchy at the summit, which had the theme ‘The Case for the American Experiment.’ (Photo by Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images)

Beginning on Monday, the 8pm ET slot will be filled in by “Fox News Tonight” which will be hosted by a rotation of personalities until the network selects a new permanent host.

Carlson’s show was one of the highest-rated cable news programs.

The news of his departure from the network comes less than a week after Fox News agreed to pay a $787.5 million settlement in Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit over their 2020 election reporting. The lawsuit alleged that Fox News personalities, among which Carlson, made false claims that the company’s voting machines were rigged against former president Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election. It is not, however, clear if this settlement has anything to do with him not being part of the network any longer.

Over the years, Carlson made a name for himself as one of the most successful hosts with a show with highest ratings despite his conservative views on subjects including race, LGBTQ rights and the war in Ukraine.

Allegedly, the decision to oust Carlson came from Rupert Murdoch, the 92-year-old Fox owner.

Gene Wilder kept his illness a secret to the grave – he couldn’t bear the idea of one less smile in the world

Gene Wilder was a legendary actor and a beloved entertainer who gave the world of film some iconic roles, including that of Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Born on June 11, 1933, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to a mother who experienced heart issues, Wilder did all in his power to always make her laugh, as her doctor once advised him when he told him, “Don’t ever argue with your mother, you might kill her. Try to make her laugh.”

This made him realize that he could become an actor who would entertain crowds, and eventually, he became one.

Youtube/EricDanielsen

After playing in a number of off-Broadway shows, he was offered the role which changed his life forever and helped him make a name for himself. However, before he tried his luck in the film industry, Wilder changed his name. He was born Jerome Silberman, with his father being a Russian immigrant, and his mother being of Polish descent.

As he was a huge book lover, Wilder took the inspiration for his new name from the character of Eugene Grant from the book Look Homeward, Angel, and the surname came from Thornton Wilder, author of Our Town.

Before landing the role of Willy Wonka, Wilder received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in Mel Brooks’ classic comedy The Producers.

Youtube/EricDanielsen

When he read the script for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Wilder loved it. He, however, had many things in mind when it came to his character and letters he sent to director Mel Stuart emerged following the filming.

“When I make my first entrance, I’d like to come out of the door carrying a cane and then walk toward the crowd with a limp. After the crowd sees Willy Wonka is a cripple, they all whisper to themselves and become deathly quiet,” Wilder wrote in the letter to Mel Stuart.

“As I walk toward them, my cane sinks into one of the cobblestones I’m walking on and stands straight up, by itself; but I keep on walking, until I realize that I no longer have my cane. I start to fall forward, and just before I hit the ground, I do a beautiful forward somersault and bounce back up, to great applause.”

The entrance turned out to be the right deal as it gave the character of Willy Wonka another dimension.

Wilder was also heavily involved with the making of the costumes his character wore in the film. “The hat is terrific, but making it 2 inches shorter would make it more special,” Wilder was said to have said.

When Tim Burton released the remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, with Johnny Depp in the lead role, Wilder wasn’t impressed. “I think it’s an insult,” Wilder explained. “Johnny Depp, I think, is a good actor, but I don’t care for that director. He’s a talented man, but I don’t care for him doing stuff like he did.”

Wilder moved on to play in other films, including Blazing Saddles in 1974. Later, together with Mel Brooks, Wilder wrote Young Frankenstein and starred in it. The two were nominated for an Oscar for Best Writing, Screenplay Adapted From Other Material.

Most of the films which followed didn’t receive good critics and Wilder eventually quit acting and turned to writing. He published  two novels and several short stories, and in 2005, he released a memoir, Kiss Me Like a Stranger: My Search for Love and Art.

Shutterstock

“Once in a while, there was a nice, good film, but not very many. If something comes along that’s really good and I think I would be good for it, I’d be happy to do it. But not too many came along,” he said of leaving the acting business.

“I mean, they came along for the first, I don’t know, 15, 18 films, but I didn’t do that many. But then I didn’t want to do the kind of junk I was seeing. I didn’t want to do 3D, for instance. I didn’t want to do ones where it’s just bombing and loud and swearing. So much swearing going on. If someone says ‘Ah, go f— yourself,’ well, if it came from a meaningful place, I’d understand it. But if you go to some movies, can’t they just stop and talk, just talk, instead of swearing? That put me off a lot.”

Wilder was married four times. He passed away in 2016 after suffering from Alzheimer’s for several years. Wilder, however, decided to keep his illness a secret from the world.

“He simply couldn’t bear the idea of one less smile in the world,” his nephew, Jordan Walker-Pearlman, said in a statement.

At the time of his passing, Ella Fitzgerald’s version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow was reportedly playing, while the actor was surrounded by his family.

Shutterstock

Around a year after his passing, Wilder’s widow, Kareen Webb, opened up about his struggles during the last years of his life.

“My husband took the news with grief, of course, but also astonishing grace. I watched his disintegration each moment of each day for six years. One day, I saw him struggle with the ties on his drawstring pants. That night, I took the drawstrings out. Then his wrist was bleeding from the failed effort of trying to take off his watch. I put his watch away,” Webb wrote to ABC News.

“Gene died fifteen months ago. I was in the bed next to him when he took his last breaths. By that point, it had been days since he’d spoken. But on that last night, he looked me straight in the eye and said, three times over, ‘I trust you.’”

Gene Wilder will forever be remembered as someone who brought many smiles to many people.

Conjoined twins Abby and Erin Delaney: Inside their remarkable story

One thing that is becoming common knowledge is how rare it is to see identical twins, the fact that they don’t fully split when their zygote becomes two embryos—are, it’s even rarer. For these two conjoined twins baby girls, in Philadelphia, their incredible predicament isn’t going to impair their lives at all…

Erin and Abby Delaney, beautiful baby girls were born in 2016 summertime, conjoined at the tops of their heads, this really made the separation really a complicated and difficult thing indeed!

Looking at these two it was apparent that to keep them joined in this fashion was really not an option for them, for their development and for their mental health too as they grow up.

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia took on the task of separating them from each other, the most complex procedure that the hospital has ever carried out before!

To do the surgery it took a surgical team for each girl and many hours of fast-paced procedures to stop either of them bleeding to death or to cause further complications.

With love, care, and incredible skills of the surgeons the two were separated without any problems, it was a success and they can now live separate lives.

Thier mom, Heather Delaney, said:

“They’re such happy, content little girls, for what they’ve gone through …They’ve never lived outside of hospital walls.”

Now that had all changed for the better, five months down the line and after surgery and the pair being home, they could grow physically and mentally and flourish in their own space, mom commented about how really well they have been both developing.

Mom also said:

“They’re not afraid of people …it’s amazing to see how brave they’ve been through all of it.”

For many of the first months after their birth, it was impossible to hold them separately, they could not learn to roll over even, let alone sit up and for their own safety, they were monitored constantly!

Eventually, Erin was sitting up on her own and Abby learned to roll over too, it was a very long path to where they are now but they followed it to completion and finally, they arrived safely!

These amazing girls are having a second chance at life, an awesome life, but they needed to undergo further surgeries. In July 2021, they had undergone surgeries to help reshape and fix their skulls.

The recovery went well for Abby, but Erin had a tougher time to recover completely.

Their mom has been updating their family and friends, also those interested in the life of the girls, through social media posts.

In September 2020, the family received yet another blow when the girls were diagnosed with autism.

”There is such a stigma around those who are autistic and it scares me for the girls’ future.  They already have so much going on and to be autistic as well is just hard.  I cried a lot when I got that phone call.  I just want the diagnosis’ to stop.  I know that it doesn’t change anything.  I know that the girls are still who they are and we still love them just as much if not more than we did yesterday.  But having yet another diagnosis is just disheartening,” Heather wrote.

In her latest post on her blog, Heather said that Abby is getting closer to walking every day and that Erin is ”walking upstairs, running around, and getting stronger every day.”

Erin Abby have been able to reach the milestones they have reached thanks to the immense love and support from their loving mom and dad.

Despite everything they have gone through, they are both thriving.

”We are so proud of the girls, and how far they have come, and where they are going.  Not once have we wished things were different because we love our girls for just the way they are,” Heather says.

Connie Culp became the first-ever face transplant patient in the US: Inside her remarkable story

The life of Connie Culp was marked with a big tragedy and a number of struggles which she managed to overcome one step at a time.

When she was 16, she run away from home with her high-school sweetheart who would later try to claim her life. Although she was in love with her husband, Tom, she became aware that he mistreated her, the same as her father. For a long time, she believed it was normal, but she them decided to stand for herself.

“He would push me and people would see it, and I would get up and I’d say, ‘I’m a good person, and I don’t deserve that,’” she told Oprah. “He wasn’t used to me talking back.”

On September 21, 2004, this woman’s life changed forever when her husband accused her of flirting with another man and shot her in the face. He then pulled the trigger on himself but survived.

Youtube/ABC

Connie survived as well, and she somehow managed to call her sister, who then called Connie’s daughter Alicia.

The blast shattered Connie’s nose, cheeks, the roof of her mouth, and her eye. Her survival was dubbed a miracle.

“I lost my sense of smell. I lost my eye, my nose. My jaw they had to wire shut. I didn’t lose any teeth during the [incident], but the top of my mouth deteriorated, so I lost my whole top mouth,” Connie explained. “I could feel my face just sliding down.”

Although she experienced excruciating pain, she said that she forgave Tom, whom she divorced and who was sentenced to nine years in prison.

“I always will [love him.] I mean, I have two kids to him,” Culp said. “But you know what? I cannot be with him anymore,” she told ABC. “I won’t let anybody talk about that, I spent six years thinking about it. And you know what? Now, it’s a new beginning. I have a new face. I’m a new me.”

Youtube/ABC

Connie was forced to undergo over 30 surgeries and she was starred at and even called names when she would go out in public.

One time, while she was shopping at a store, a young boy called her a monster.

“‘You said there were no real monsters, Mommy, and there’s one right there,’” Connie recalled the boy saying as he pointed towards her.

“‘I’m not a monster,’” Connie responded as she pulled out her driver’s licence and showed him how she looked before. “I’m a person who was shot.”

Youtube/ABC

On December 9, 2008, Connie’s life would change once again. As doctors considered a face transplant surgery, something that hadn’t been done in the U.S up until that point, finding a donor was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Even if a donor was found, no one could say with certainty that such a surgery could be a success.

Then, the Cleveland Clinic had found a donor, a woman named Anna Kasper who collapsed in the cold and passed away after getting out at her back porch to lit a cigarette.

Anna’s family described her as the most caring and most loving woman there was, and they knew she would want to donate her face to someone in need so they agreed to donate it to Connie. Anna happened to be a matching donor, which was yet another miracle.

Youtube/ABC – Anna Kasper

The surgery lasted for 23 long hours.

“This is amazing both technically, surgically, but also philosophically. The face of someone else is being adopted and accepted by the face of the recipient,” Dr. Maria Siemionow, the Cleveland Clinic surgeon who led the team performing the transplant surgery, said. “You can see a live person who is happy her life is back.”

The recovery was a long and tiring one and it included a lot of anti-rejection medications.

Youtube/CBSPittsburgh

Connie could start her life over. She learned how to speak again, and she even cracked jokes. She learned how to eat solid food, and even how to walk again because she was forced to spend a lot of time in the hospital bed. “You know, it was scary when I walked out,” Connie she recalled. “All I could see were my doctors up front because of their white coats. I didn’t even see the reporters. That’s probably the one day I was glad to be blind.

“The importance of a face transplant was getting my mouth back in order and letting me smile again,” she told the Post-Gazette.

“And now, for instance, I can drink out of a cup and eat solid food. Before, I had to use a straw all the time and eat soft foods.”

Youtube/ClevelandClinic

Connie regained her self confidence and even started dating again. She felt happy and fulfilled.

Unfortunately, in 2020, this brave woman passed away due to an infection not related to her surgery.

“Connie was an incredibly brave, vibrant woman and an inspiration to many,” Dr. Frank Papay, chair of Cleveland Clinic’s Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Institute, who was part of Connie’s surgical team, told CNN.

“Her strength was evident in the fact that she had been the longest-living face transplant patient to date,” Papay said in a statement. “She was a great pioneer, and her decision to undergo a sometimes daunting procedure is an enduring gift for all of humanity.”

Connie was a true inspiration. May she rest in peace.

John Legend shares how his children embarrass him when he is in public

John Legend and wife Chrissy Teigen make one of the most charming celebrity couples. They love posting photos of themselves and their children and share stories of their everyday lives and the ‘struggles’ which come with parenthood.

The two are parents of three beautiful children. They welcomed their first child, daughter Luna, in 2016. Two years later, their son Miles was born, and before welcoming their youngest child a few months ago, they experienced heartbreak when Teigen lost her unborn child. The two spoke openly of the pain they felt.

Shutterstock

Recently, Legend appeared on the The Late Late Show With James Corden where he shared cute stories about his children. Among the rest, he revealed they love his music so much, especially Miles, that they make him play it while he drives them to school and when he drops them off.

“They do, especially my son. He knows all my songs and he’s like Rain Man with the lengths of the songs. He remembers how long each song is and he’s like, ‘Actually ‘Green Light’ is a little longer than this one, it’s 3:19,’” the singer revealed, and added that this is quite embarrassing. Why, you may wonder? Well, the school his kids attend is also the school where children of other celebrities, like Jay Z’s daughter, study.

“I’m pulling up, playing my music loud and it’s embarrassing,” Legend said jokingly. “No, [JAY-Z]’s not playing ‘Reasonable Doubt’ in the car with his kids — I don’t think, I don’t hear it at least!”

The couple revealed the story behind their youngest child’s name, Esti. Speaking of it, Teigen said, “We were on vacation. We got married in Italy and I was looking up at the hotel and I kept seeing the Este of it, and then I was like, ‘I love the name Este.’

“I was just playing around with it and then we came up with Esti.”

Later on, they learned that Legend’s great-grandmother name was Esti. “… I guess maybe it was Esther and then they turned it to Esti,” Teigen revealed.

We believe that Legend and Teigen make awesome parents to their three children, and together, they make a very beautiful family of five.
