We always speak how the members of the military sacrifice a lot in order to keep our country safe, and most Americans have deep respect for those fighting for our freedom, but do we do enough for them as a country? The sad reality is that many veterans are struggling to continue with their old ways of living after service and a huge number of them suffer from PTSD and are left homeless.
Luckily, the city of Kansas is stepping up for these members of the community through the non-profit organization Veterans Community Project.
“Veteran Community Project refuses to let any Veteran falls through the cracks. From providing housing to offering walk-in support services, we are here for everyone who took the oath to serve America,” their website reads.
During the past two years, the organization built and equipped 13 homes. They may look tiny, but they provide everything one needs in order to lead a normal life. Besides housing, the veterans are provided with classes that will teach them how to budget money, cook, stay healthy and combat substance abuse.

The organization announced that during the second phase of the project, they are planning on building 19 more homes.
“One of the vets was sitting out there last week, watching the houses get built and was in tears,” Mark Solomon told FOX4.
“Literally just crying about the fact that he was going to be moving into one of these houses. That’s real. That’s what makes this all worth it and yeah, it’s a ton of time and a ton of effort, but we’re gonna be able to help these people.”
Offering the homeless veterans a place to stay is a wind at their back which will help them stay on the right path and will give them a new lease on life.

If you want to see the true face of happiness, just take a look at the moon bear Tuffy having the time of his life at his new sanctuary. This poor bear’s life was a tough one. He was kept at a bear farm where he spent nine long years trapped in a ‘torture vest’ and packed into a tiny cage.
Unfortunately, there are lots of other bears who share Tuffy’s life and aren’t lucky enough to be rescued the way he was. These farms use these gorgeous creatures for their bile which is extracted directly from their gallbladders. Yes, this is as painful as it sounds. If you wonder why someone would do this, it’s because Chinese people use it in the traditional medicine.

Tuffy’s gallbladder was severely damaged and had to be removed, along with some of his teeth, while his paws were sour and cracked. “The cracked paws are common to bile farm bears as they only walk on bars, not grass. Dehydration is likely to have contributed to this too,” Animals Asia Bear Manager Louise Ellis said.
Most of these bears never get the chance to see the sun, or roam freely. Luckily for Tuffy, Animals Asia stepped in and managed to get him out of that awful place. He now gets to spend his days doing everything that makes him happy, and that’s swimming in his sanctuary pool.

Watching Tuffy having fun is definitely something you don’t want to miss.
An unnamed woman who was on the flight from Dallas-Fort Worth to Charlotte on July 6 was strapped to her seat with a duct tape by the flight attendants after she probably suffered a mental breakdown and tried opening the front boarding door mid-flight.
The video of the incident and what appears to be a woman with a gray hear and a duct tape on her hands, ankles, and mouth was shared on TikTok by user @lol.airee.
American Airlines confirmed the incident taking place on the flight and explained that the crew had to act in order to deal with the situation which disturbed the passengers. At first, the crew tried calming the woman down, but to no avail. According to Business Insider “all flight attendants were running up and down the aisles, frantically kind of like whispering to each other.”
“She was saying, ‘I need to get off this plane,’ and she went up to the exits and started banging on the doors, saying, ‘You need to let me off this plane!’” the paper said, citing @lol.ariee.
During the attempt to bring her to her senses, the frantic woman tried physically assaulting some of the members of the crew by scratching and biting.
Once the plane landed and all of the 190 passengers got off the aircraft, the woman was taken to hospital for evaluation.

The person who posted the video didn’t approve of how the company dealt with the emergency and believed they could do something different instead of duck taping someone who was visibly distressed. American Airlines, however, believe they acted accordingly and were only trying to protect the rest of the people on the flight.
“[The woman] attempted to open the forward boarding door and physically assaulted, bit, and caused injury to a flight attendant. We applaud our crew for their professionalism and quick effort to protect those on board,” a spokesperson told Business Insider in an emailed statement.
While an investigation regarding the incident is ongoing, American Airlines has reportedly put the woman on their “no-fly” list.
We are glad the woman didn’t harm herself or any of the passengers.
Megan Markle’s relationship with her father Thomas has always been of significant interest to the wide public and the media. Meghan wrote Thomas a five-page letter begging him not to talk to the press. But just days after she sent it, parts of the letter were published in the media. Meghan decided to sue the Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL), publisher of the Mail on Sunday and MailOnline. Her lawyer said in court that the publication of the “intrinsically private, personal and sensitive” letter was “unlawful” and “a triple-barrelled invasion of her privacy rights”, according to the Mirror.
“I ask for nothing other than peace and I wish the same for you,” the last line of the letter read.

The mother’s instinct is one of the strongest there are. No matter if they are humans, dogs, cats, or other species, a mother is a mother and she’ll always go above and beyond for her kids.
What one mommy cat did when she was introduced to a newborn puppy is truly powerful and heart-melting. As she was staying in a cardboard box together with her tiny kittens, a woman carrying the little puppy approached closer. The cat seemed pretty confused at first and was looking around not knowing what was going on.

In the next moment, the cat started sniffing the “strange creature” and someone in the background could be heard saying: “Look, she wants it.” And yes, the mommy was actually thrilled for the newest member of her family. The squealing pup was also confused, but once the woman put it down inside the box it stopped crying and felt secure.

What followed was lovely indeed. The cat mommy made a room for the puppy and took it in her embrace along with her babies.

The news that the owner of Microsoft, billionaire Bill Gates, and his wife of 27 years, Melinda Gates, are divorcing took the world by storm.
The two shared a joint statement regarding their separation saying, “we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple.”
“After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage,” the pair, who met back in 1980 when Melinda joined Bill’s company, tweeted.
This came as a surprise for many because the couple always seemed to get along just perfectly, what’s most, they appeared as a pair that cannot break down.

The announcement raised many questions, such as how and if the divorce will affect the global tech development and the philanthropy, as well as how their enormous wealth and assets would be divided knowing they didn’t sign a prenup back in the day. Honestly, the fact they didn’t sign such an agreement was as shocking as their separation.
When the two first met, Bill had already earned his first billion dollars when the Microsoft stock hit $90.75 a share. By 1983, Microsoft was a global company with offices in Great Britain and Japan. One interesting detail which emerged and caught the public’s eye is that although there is no prenup, there is a “separation agreement” between soon the ex-couple. No further details have been revealed, such as what that agreement includes exactly. What is known is that it was signed between them and doesn’t involve the court. It lists all Bill and Melinda’s rights and obligations, including things such as child support and custody. Melinda won’t be asking for any support.
According to TMZ, the couple’s property, business interests and assets should be divided “as set forth in our separation contract.”

Being separated from their owners for long periods of time can affect dogs in a negative way as they may feel depressed and unwilling to play around, but Freya knew her human would eventually get back to her and now as it finally happened, she’s the luckiest dog on Earth.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that this video melted the hearts of everyone who got to witness the perfect moment.
Earlier this year, one of the most powerful and most influential couples, Bill and Melinda Gates, announced they were splitting after 27 years of marriage. Their net worth is estimated to be around $150 billion and information on how they would split their assets hasn’t come to light yet. The couple didn’t have a prenup, but they said they have signed a separation agreement which is an agreement signed at the end of a marriage and includes terms of the split.

There were rumors that one of the reasons behind the separation was that Bill was involved in a relationship with another woman, but neither confirmed or denied that.
Recently, however, new information about their divorce came to light, as reported by the New York Post. According to the magazine, at the exclusive Allen & Co. “summer camp for billionaires” last week, Bill Gates spoke during an “off the record” Q&A and admitted the divorce “was his fault” when asked about it by the host, CNBC’s Becky Quick, an attendee was reported to have said.
The source was reported to have added: “He did seem a bit emotional about it. He might have been on the verge of tears.”

Another person told New York Post that Bill wasn’t in the mood of talking to the rest of the people attending the camp and added: “Bill Gates was pretty much a total a**hole.” Other described the Microsoft owner as feeling “agitated” during his stay at the “summer camp.”
We are, however, yet to learn the real reason behind the divorce.
