Chef Gordon Ramsay was involved in a scary biking accident that left him severely bruised.
Over Father’s Day weekend, the famous restaurateur and television presenter took to social media to warn his fans of the importance of wearing a helmet after his accident. The Hell’s Kitchen chef went on to describe the terrifying ordeal which resulted in him needing medical treatment, revealing “he was lucky to be there.”
“With #FathersDay tomorrow I have very important message for all the dads out there…WEAR A HELMET!” Ramsay captioned the post which showed his enormous bruise.
“This week I had a really bad accident while riding my bike in Connecticut. I’m doing ok and did not break any bones or suffer any major injuries but I am a bit bruised up looking like a purple potato,” he continued.
“I’m thankful for all the doctors, nurses and staff at Lawerence + Memorial Hospital in New London who looked after me and checked me out, but most thankful for my helmet that saved my life. Have a great Father’s Day and be safe Gx.”
In the video he posted, Ramsay said, “Now, from those incredible surgeons, doctors, and nurses in the hospital who looked after me this week — they were amazing. But honestly, you’ve got to wear a helmet. I don’t care how short the journey is. I don’t care the fact that these helmets cost money, they’re crucial. Even with the kids, on a short journey, they’ve got to wear a helmet.
“Now, I’m lucky to be standing here. I’m in pain. It’s been a brutal week. And I’m, sort of, getting through it.”
His fans were quick to post comments wishing him well.
“I thought it might have been a small crash but my god that bruise says otherwise! Glad you’re doing okay,” one person wrote. “I’m very glad we didn’t lose this legend, thank you for spreading awareness, Gordan. We need more people promoting health and safety. Proud of you,” another added.
“We’ll call child services, and they’ll take you away,” Tori’s father said as he and his wife started packing their belongings. Being just 15, she couldn’t understand what those words meant, and sadly, she and her siblings learned that the hard way.
Just a few days later, Tori and her siblings were separated and sent to different foster homes, and that’s when their ordeal began.
Lucas, who was six at the time kept asking why were those people taking him away, and Ben, 5, cried, “I don’t want to go, Tori. I want to stay with you.”

Now that their parents abandoned them, Tori wanted to be there for her brothers, but she was powerless. There was nothing she could do to keep what remained of their family together.
“I’m here to help,” the woman with the Child Protective Services assured the three siblings who were scared to death. “I know this is hard, but we need to take you somewhere safe.”
“Please, don’t take us away,” Tori begged. “We can stay here, we’ll be good.”
Once they were forced to leave the house, Tori, Lucas, and Ben were placed in three different cars which headed to different directions. Tori watched her brothers through the car window, their tear-streaked faces disappearing from view.

The drive to Tori’s foster home was a haze of tears and confusion. She kept replaying her father’s harsh words, questioning how it had come to that, and how they could leave their children behind just like that.
From the very first moment Tori met her foster family, the Thompsons, she felt unwanted. They were cold people who barely spoke to her, unless they needed to tell her what chore to finish.
Tori was sad and lonely, and she couldn’t stop thinking of her little brothers.

Unable to cope with the reality she was forced to live, Tori decided to run away from the foster home that never felt like a cozy place. However, that attempt failed as police caught her shortly after and returned her to the Thompsons, who were furious at her.
Every time she ran away, the same thing happened. She would be dragged back, scolded, and ignored even more. But Tori was determined to leave that place, so one night, she packed some of her belongings and slipped out the window.
Tori ended up on the street, but she knew it would be better for her than living with her foster family. She found an old trailer where she spent the nights. It lacked a door and had a leaky roof, but it was a start of her new life she hoped would be better and better with each passing day.

She was able to survive by working odd jobs such as cleaning cars, carrying groceries, and even helping at the local diner. She struggled to make ends meet, but the hardest thing was being separated from her brothers.
When she would learn where they were, they were usually sent to a different foster home, so keeping track was difficult.
One day, when she tried to visit Ben, an unfamiliar face opened the door. “Excuse me, can I see Ben?” she asked. “No, they moved out last week. I think they went to another state,” the woman at the door answered.
“Do you know where they went?” Tori asked, desperate to learn where her little brother was. “I’m sorry, I don’t,” the woman said as she closed the door.

Tori’s heart sank. She promised her brothers they would reunite one day, and she felt like she failed them because she couldn’t keep the promise.
Days went by, and Tori was able to find a job as a cleaner at a small shop on the outskirts of town. She scrubbed the floors, washed dishes, and cleaned the shelves, but it was steady.
Being a hard worker, the owner, Mr. Jenkins once asked her if she ever thought of returning to school. Tori said she wanted to attend college, but she could barely make money for food and some other essentials. “Keep saving, and you’ll get there. I believe in you,” he encouraged her.
His words came as an encouragement. Eventually, Tori did attend college, although balancing between her job and studying was very hard. She would spend the mornings at the shop, and during the evenings she studied hard and did all her assignments. It was overwhelming, but that was the only way she knew if she wanted to get closer to seeing her brothers again.

Years passed by, and Tori graduated from college. She majored business and was able to land a job as a store assistant at a large clothing store. With time, her manager, Ms. Carter, noticed her dedication.
“Tori, you’re doing great work,” she said one day as they restocked shelves together. “I’m promoting you to a supervisor.”
“Thank you, Ms. Carter!” Tori replied with excitement. “I promise I’ll do my best.”
Some time later, she was promoted to a store manager and was able to move into a nice apartment. But just as she thought things turned out good for her, she experienced yet another shock.

As she was settling in her new home, Tori heard a knock on the door. When she answered it, she saw her parents, Charles and Linda, standing there with suitcases in hand. “Hello, darling!” my mother said cheerfully, pretending as nothing has ever happened.
Tori stood frozen. She was in disbelief. Her father then asked her if they could come in. Still in shock, she let them in.
“We were hoping you could let us stay here for a while, just until we get back on our feet,” her mom said. Taken aback, Tori said, “You want to live with me?” Almost in unison, they both answered, “Yes.”
Struggling to keep her voice steady, Tori asked, “Why? How did you even find me?”
“Oh, sweetie, how does that matter? We are family, and family is supposed to help each other, right?” they said.

Tori could no longer contain her anger. “Oh really?” she snapped. “You haven’t asked a single thing about my brothers since you arrived. You just show up here, expecting me to help you after you abandoned us? Where were your ideas about family helping each other when we were struggling on the streets?”
Tori didn’t even gave them the chance to respond. She opened the door and asked them to leave and never contact her again.
She thought that seeing them after that many years would bring all the pain back, but in reality, she felt relieved and as though she had finally got the closure she needed. Her past was no longer holding her back, the only thing she needed to focus was finding her brothers and be happy again.

A day after his funeral, Sarah and her stepmom stood in complete silence in the dimly lit living room as uncertainty could be felt in the air.
Then, the silence was broken by the stepmom’s words, “I can’t imagine how hard this is for you. But I want you to know, I’m here for you. We’re family, no matter what.”
At that moment, Sarah felt relieved. “But everyone’s saying you’ll leave… go back to your family,” she mumbled, struggling to hold back tears. “Will I…will I go to an orphanage?”
“No, sweetie. You’re not going anywhere and neither am I. Look at me,” she said, her hand finding Sarah’s in the darkness. “She then cupped my face, planting a tender kiss on my forehead. “We’ll get through this together.”

Fast forward to Sarah’s 18th birthday, she and her stepmom still lived together and were as close as ever. On the morning on the day which marked a milestone in Sarah’s life, her stepmom greeted her with a gift wrapped in a bow. “Happy birthday, sweetheart,” she said as she handed Sarah the gift.
“Thank you,” Sarah replied, her heart swelling with gratitude for this woman who had chosen to stand by her through everything. “I have a surprise for you too, but… you’ll need to pack your things.”

The stepmom went from smiling to making a serious facial expression. What could be wrong and why would Sarah ask from her to pack her things, were the first thoughts that came to her mind. “Pack my things? Are you… Are you serious?”
“Yes,” Sarah answered. “I want you to pack your things in the next hour. You’re leaving this house.”
“But why, dear? I thought we were a family…”
“It’s time,” Sarah said, the weight of the moment pressing down on her. “I’ve been planning this since the day Dad died. You are going to another city.”

The stepmom, unaware of what was going on, packed her belongings and put her inside Sarah’s car. On the way to their final destination, neither of them said anything. Eventually, Sarah was the first one to break the dead silence.
“You didn’t know that my father opened an account in my name when I was a child, where he saved money for my education. Since his death, I’ve also put all my money, from my part-time jobs and gifts, into this account. Now, there’s a large sum.”
Her stepmom turned to her, looking at her with confusion. “I understand. You’re an adult now, you have money and you don’t need me anymore. But why are you sending me so far away? You don’t want to see me at all?” she told Sarah.
But, as they pulled up in front of a quaint, beautiful house, the surprise Sarah had been keeping was finally ready to be unveiled.

“I will be spending some of this money on education,” she continued, pointing to the house. “At an Ivy League university in the city, we’re in now, where I have already been accepted. Do you see this house?”
“Yes,” the stepmom said in a quiet voice.
“I bought this house for you. There was enough money for everything. Now I will study here and you will live next door. We won’t have to be apart, and if you want, you can go back to our old house at any time, or we can return together after I finish my studies.”

Sarah’s stepmom couldn’t contain the tears of joy that started rolling down her face. “I love you, Sarah,” she said. “I love you, too,” Sarah replied.
As the two women embraced, they became even more certain that family isn’t always defined by blood.

Before her first public appearance in six months, Catherine, the Princess of Wales shared a message in which she thanked the public for their overwhelming support. “I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement,” she wrote among the rest.
Further, the princess addressed her health condition, writing, “I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.”

Kate added that her treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months.
Her attendance at Trooping the Color was announced a day prior to the delight of her many fans.
She wore a white dress and completed her outfit with a white hat, pearl studs, and the Irish Guards Regimental Brooch, reflecting her honorary role.

The princess radiated calm and confidence as she smiled and waved to the cheering crowds, signifying her triumphant return to public life. Despite this, fans argue that there was a certain dose of nervousness in her.
“Kudos she can still walk in those sky high heels. Lovely to see her loyalty to the Crown, but she really must rest and take time out,” one person commented. “It’s great to see her with a classic smile. So beautiful. But her eyes don’t have the usual sparkle. They look tired,” another added.

The observations extended to her children as well, with one fan noting, “I too see the children have matured enormously, you can see it in their behavior, their serious looks, a bit of sadness.” Another person wrote,”The worry about mum will change them and it will make them worry. Only after many years of mum being well they may feel less worry, but just so. I wish them well.”
One person wrote that looking tired and worried is a normal thing when battling this disease. “One can see the sadness in her eyes and in the eyes of her children. I know how this feels because my father got cancer when I was only 11. It mars the rest of your life. Sadly he didn’t make it, but Kate will do so. Cancer treatments are so very much more advanced these days since chemotherapy has become available. It’s the game changer.”

Some of Kate’s fans called for understanding and privacy.
“Yes, her sparkling has dimmed. Now that England and the media can see this LEAVE HER ALONE to recover fully,” someone commented, while another person remarked, “Agree I can see her eyes are not the same — poor lady — so brave like so many others — hope the day goes well for her and she isn’t too exhausted when it is all over.”

Experts also had a say when it comes to the beloved princess and her appearance at Trooping the Colour. Darren Stanton, a body language expert, observed that Catherine’s initial demeanor set the tone for the annual royal event, which she has regularly attended since joining the royal family in 2011.
As of her relationship with her husband and the beautiful photo of the two looking at each others eyes at the balcony of the palace, Stanton noted that the princess was employing a “masking smile,” describing it as her “game face.” “She’s using this as a way to power through and do the best she can. Her composure appears calm and collected on the outside,” he wrote and added that her smile didn’t seem to be genuine. “Internally, she’s feeling a sense of wanting to make people proud, but she is also feeling nervous – which is understandable,” the expert wrote.

He also stated that Kate’s reserved demeanor was in support of the fact that the day was about King Charles.
Communication specialist Judi James also commented on Kate and William’s photo and stated that their interaction gave a touching glimpse into their joy at being reunited on the global stage.

Some people dream, some don’t, or at least they don’t remember doing so.
But do dreams mean anything? Well, while people are convinced dreams are a form of messages received by forces we are unable to see or feel while wide awake, some scientists claim that dreams are simply a result of neuronal processes taking place within our brain.
While we are asleep, our brains are anything but.
Sometimes, dreams happen as a reflection of the day that passed, and other times they represent our fears. But what does it mean when we dream of a deceased person?
These dreams can be seen as part of the process of grieving or a transition that takes place in our own life. According to Healthline, it has to do with the latter.
These dreams are common when we experience certain changes, such as getting a new job, moving places, or meeting someone new.
What is most important than the dream itself, however, is how it make us feel.
Rubin Naiman, who has a Ph.D. in psychology, spent years of his life studying sleep patterns and habits. According to him, “Dream interpretation is about decoding the dream. It enlightens us and expands our awareness psychologically, [offering an] expansion of consciousness.”
So, dreaming of someone who is no longer alive may be related to the changes mentioned above and how those changes affect us.

According to Lauri Loewenberg, a dream analyst, we may be dreaming of a deceased person if we see some of their behaviors, such as substance abuse or else, in ourselves.
There are experts who believe that these dreams represent a visitation from the deceased person, especially if we see them in a good condition in our dream, meaning they are well dressed or seem happy. If we feel good about the dream, it may mean that the deceased person says ‘Hello.’
No matter what we feel about dreams, the truth is that they offer something deep and meaningful. They often give us insight into the soul and our connection with the deceased person that we see in our dreams.

Kate Middleton has always been a much-loved member of the British royalty so it didn’t come as a surprise that the news of her cancer diagnosis devastated many. The public was eager to learn more of her exact health condition and her whereabouts, but the beloved princess was nearly nowhere to be seen until the Trooping of Colour, a special event that celebrated the king’s official birthday.
Kate broke her silence on Friday and confirmed that this year’s Trooping the Colour would mark her first official appearance in six months.
In a lengthy statement, the Princess of Wales announced that she was looking forward to attending the annual ceremony.
“I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times,” Kate said.
The Princess continued: “I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.”

My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home.
“I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.”
She concluded: “I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal. The Princess of Wales was captured on Saturday as she arrived at Trooping the Colour.
Accompanied by her husband, Prince William, and their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—Kate donned a white dress adorned with a black bow, complemented by a white hat atop her bun.
Later, as she and her children rode in a carriage, with William on horseback nearby, the beloved princess could be seen smiling and waving to the enthusiastic crowd lining the road. However, despite her outward appearance of happiness, a body language expert suggests that the princess may have been feeling “nervous” and proceeding with caution.
“Princess Catherine’s closed-mouth smile as she arrives in the car with her family indicates that she is being cautious,” royal expert Inbaal Honigman shared with the Daily Star.
“Compared with previous years, where the Princess would flash a wholehearted, toothy smile of happiness, this occasion reveals a more careful Catherine, smiling with her lips, cheeks and eyes, but not with her teeth. This demonstrates caution, but there are signs that her happiness is genuine.”
He continued: “The raised eyebrows when she smiles, suggest that she is happy, even excited, and as she peeks out of the car, we can see that she’s glad to connect with the expecting crowds outside. Her shoulders are slightly raised, which suggests that she’s nervous.”

Despite Kate’s highly anticipated appearance at the Trooping the Color, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield asserts that the princess’s return strategy to her royal duties is to take it “day by day.”
Further, Schofield believes that any decisions concerning the princess’ involvement in royal engagements would be made “very last minute.”
“You can’t deny that she looked absolutely incredible. It was like My Fair Lady, she looked like Audrey Hepburn in the outfit. I don’t know if that was the inspiration, but she looks so sophisticated, so smart. It’s what we’ve come to expect from her, I would expect nothing less,” Schofield said.
“She was so engaged with the children in the carriage. All you can think about is the fact that she’s had a lot of special time with them lately, that this family is incredibly bonded,” she added. “She’s had the opportunity to spend a lot of time at home with them, they’re incredibly close and a beautiful family indeed.”

“I wondered if she was going to go with the classic Wales blue that the entire family often wears. But she looked beautiful,” Schofield told GB News. “She did look healthy. And if you look at pictures of her from the coronation, it’s the same woman. I felt a lot of relief seeing her today.”
The expert concluded that the respective cancer diagnosis of Kate and the king brought the family closer together.
While observing the military parade from a building with a view of the grounds, the mom of three was also instructing her children how to behave.
Lip reader, Nicola Hickling, with the Daily Mail, revealed Kate telling George, Charlotte, and Louis, “You stay there, OK?”
Bending down to her daughter, Kate added: “Keep smiling and stay here for one moment.”
At one moment, the youngest of the children asked his mom if he could play with the beads, to what Kate reportedly replied: “No. I need you concentrate on the parade.”

One thing is certain, Kate wanted to be there for King Charles, her husband, and her children, who were incredibly proud of their mom.
Among the cute moments captured was Charlotte telling her little brother off for “joking around,” and according to royal expert Angela Levin, the little Princess not only did that for her sibling but also because she wanted to help her mother and be there for her.
Charlotte’s effort was, in fact, to “look after her mother.”
“I think she was doing that on her mother’s behalf so that her mother can be there. She adores her mother, so she just really wants wants to help out,” Levin told GB News.
She went on: “Princess Catherine looked absolutely stunning, she looked beautiful in that outfit. She’s doing it for the family. I thought, what an amazing woman, that she actually puts other people before her own wishes.”

Back in the day, Prince Harry and Prince William held a bond that seemed unable to be broken…ever. Sadly, no one assumed that the relationship between the two brothers would eventually get to the lowest point.

During childhood, William and Harry experienced heartbreak when their mother, Princess Diana, died in a car crash. This tragedy brought the brothers, who were 12 and 15 at the time, closer than ever.

Recalling that traumatic experience, Harry described the moment he got word of his mother’s passing in his book, Spare. He described how his father sat beside his bed, telling him: “Darling boy, Mummy’s been in a car crash.
“There were complications. Mummy was quite badly injured and taken to hospital, darling boy,” Harry recalled his father saying. “He always called me ‘darling boy,’ but he was saying it quite a lot now. His voice was soft. He was in shock, it seemed.
“With a head injury. They tried, darling boy. I’m afraid she didn’t make it.”
The prince further claimed that Charles put his hand on his knee, saying: “It’s going to be OK,” but that he “didn’t hug” him.
“Everyone knows where they were and what they were doing the night my mother died,” Harry stated.
“I cried once, at the burial, and you know I go into detail about how strange it was and how actually there was some guilt that I felt and I think William felt as well, by walking around the outside of Kensington Palace.”
“There were 50,000 bouquets of flowers to our mother and there we were shaking people’s hands, smiling,” he continued. “I’ve seen the videos, right, I looked back over it all. And the wet hands that we were shaking, we couldn’t understand why their hands were wet, but it was all the tears that they were wiping away.”

One of the most explosive claims revealed in Spare, whose title allegedly comes from Harry’s “spare” role as the second son of the King or the fact that he has been “spared” from his family, is the heated argument between the brothers over Meghan Markle.
According to Harry, his brother reportedly labeled Meghan “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive.”
Harry explained how William went to Nottingham Cottage, then Harry and Meghan’s home on Kensington Palace grounds in London, in order to discuss “‘the whole rolling catastrophe’ of their relationship and struggles with the press.”

In order to calm things down, Harry handed over a glass of water to his brother.
“He set down the water, called me another name, then came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”
Allegedly, William then urged Harry to strike back but Harry refused to do so.
“What was different here was the level of frustration, and I talk about the red mist that I had for so many years, and I saw this red mist in him,” Harry wrote.
“He wanted me to hit him back, but I chose not to.”
Harry’s relationship with his father might be better than that with his brother, but they are certainly not nearly as close as they once were.

Allegedly, Harry tried to schedule a call with his father on Father’s Day but his efforts have been met with reluctance, as per royal author Tom Quinn.
“Harry has tried to schedule a call with his father already, but his father is prevaricating with Camilla advising against anything that might upset King Charles,” Quinn told the Mirror. “He knows the world will be watching to see whether he is big enough to reach out to his father. He is determined to try to ignore his troubled relationship with his father and he will certainly send a warm message.”
Quinn claimed that while Harry wants to make amends, he has one big problem: He thinks King Charles doesn’t care enough for him and instead “supports” William over his younger son.
“It’s easy to forget that Harry really does love his father; he just hates the fact that Charles seems always to support William when there is a family dispute,” Quinn told the Mirror.
Hopefully, Harry and the rest of the royals would eventually make things right between them.

Long-distance relationships require commitment and effort. Maintaining effective communication when two people who date are far apart is one of the greatest issues. The lack of physical intimacy is yet another.
When Ashley met James during a study abroad program in Paris, they immediately hit it off. When the time came for her to return to New York and he in London, they did it all to keep a close relationship with endless video calls and text messages.

So, when he called her one day and told her he would be visiting her, she was over the moon. It was a day she was longing for.

“I wanted to make tonight special for you, Ash,” he said. The evening was a true delight, but when the time came for the bill to be paid, James fumbled with his wallet.
“Ashley, I hate to ask, but I don’t have any US dollars on me, and my card’s acting up again. Can you cover this? I promise I’ll pay you back first thing tomorrow.”
Of course, she said it was no big deal and didn’t even think much about it.
Little did Ashley know that this “temporary glitch” would turn into a full-blown credit card crisis, as covering for his bill became something that happened over and over again.
For each new date, James would pick an upscale restaurant that screamed elegance and then he would come up with a bunch of different excuses when it was time to pay the bill.
As time passed by, Ashley felt more like a walking ATM than his girlfriend.

On a particular evening, the two found themselves at a trendy rooftop bar boasting breathtaking views of the city skyline. As they savored their cocktails, James let out a dramatic sigh. “I can’t believe my card still isn’t working. This is so frustrating,” he said.
When Ashley asked him if he tried calling his bank, he answered that the time difference made it tough but assured her he would take care of it as soon as possible.
At that point, Ashley had already spent a small amount of fortune on nights out with him.

One time, as they were about to leave from a fancy restaurant, Ashley couldn’t help but say, “James, what’s going on with your card? It’s been days.”
But he just smiled and said he would take care of it. “Alright, but this can’t keep happening,” Ashley said.
“I know, and I appreciate you being so understanding. It’ll be fixed soon,” James was quick to answer back.
When her birthday rolled around, James told Ashley that he was planning to spoil her as he had a reservation in yet another expensive restaurant.
Ashley hoped to have a memorable evening so she dressed for the occasion and got very excited.
The crystal chandeliers, which resembled falling stars, and the music added to the romantic atmosphere. The menu, however, was over pricey, with some of the dishes costing more than Ashley’s week’s worth of takeout.

“Happy Birthday, Ashley. Tonight is all about you,” James told Ashley as he held his hand and planted a kiss on it.
The night could be described as perfect, but when the bill arrived is when Ashley’s worries started.
“Ashley, I’m so embarrassed, but my government has frozen my account. There’s been a mix-up, and I need to sort it out with the embassy. Can you handle this one? I’ll pay you back as soon as I can access my funds,” he said as the smile he had on faded away from his charming face.

Her heart sank. She couldn’t believe that happened again, and this time on her birthday.
She knew he wasn’t telling the truth as she noticed him paying for a bran new watch for himself the day before, using a perfectly functional card.
He wasn’t going to fool her this time.
“Oh, James, I completely understand. These international banking snafus can be a nightmare. But you know what? I have a solution that might save us both a trip to the embassy,” Ashley said with a calm voice.
She called the waiter and leaned in as she whispered something to his ear. The waiter then turned and left. Maybe Ashley wasn’t the only one who saw through James’ plan.
“Thanks, Ashley. You’re a lifesaver,” James said with a relief in his voice.
“Don’t mention it. Birthdays are all about celebrating the people you love, right?” Ashley responded as she took a sip of her drink.

She knew it was the time to teach James a lesson he would never forget.
With a smile on her face, she looked straight into his eyes and whispered, “James, there’s something I need to tell you. I paid for my part of the bill, but since you seem to be walking a financial crisis zone, the waiter agreed to let you earn your dinner. They’re offering a complimentary shift in the kitchen to cover your half. They’re expecting you now to wash the dishes, ‘Chef James!'”
As expected, his face turned pale. “No more excuses, James. This charade has gone on long enough,” she told him as he tried to defend himself.
He looked helpless, but it was what he deserved for trying to deceive her for so long.
“I’m truly sorry you can’t join me for the rest of my birthday celebration with friends. But I hope this little dishwashing detour gives you ample time to reflect on your recent… shall we say, creative accounting techniques?” Ashley said proudly.

As she left the place, Ashley gave James, the man she once adored, one final glance as she wished him to have a nice rest of the evening.
Ashley’s long-distance relationship didn’t survive, but she embraced the entire experience as a life lesson.

When it comes to her style, one thing is certain, Kate has always been impeccably dressed, and this time it wasn’t any different. She opted for a white dress with black trim and ribbon embellishment on the neckline, which was actually an upcycled version of an outfit she wore at an event at Buckingham Palace in May 2023.

The Princess completed her outfit with a white hat, pearl studs, and the Irish Guards Regimental Brooch, reflecting her honorary role. She typically styles her brunette hair in flowing waves, but on Tuesday, it appeared noticeably longer, and fans believe they know the reason.

Seeking clarification respectfully, a user questioned, “Can I ask an honest question. I mean nothing rude or mean in asking this but, I though you lost your hair during chemo???? Do u think it’s a wig or maybe not all chemo makes u loose your hair. Again honest question, I’m not trying to be rude(sic).”

Of course, there were those who didn’t question anything related to Kate, they just expressed their delight over her decision to be there next to the King on the special day. “Going through chemotherapy and still looking radiant!” someone wrote.
Shortly before her first public appearance in six months, Kate opened up of her condition in a genuine post she shared on Instagram.
Posing beside a majestic tree, symbolizing resilience amidst her treatment, Kate wrote among the rest, “I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement.”
Discussing the chemo treatments she undergoes, she said, “On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.”
She concluded her post thanking to everyone who has offered support and well-wishes. “Thank you so much for your continued understanding, and to all of you who have so bravely shared your stories with me.”

As expected, the public’s response to her Instagram post was overwhelmingly supportive.
“Wishing you lots of health and a steady recovery. Sending you lots of strength and patience ❤️,” one person commented, while other referred to her as to “a brave woman.”

Another topic related to Kate buzzing among netizens was the recent portrait of her found on the cover of Tatler magazine.
Painted by British-Zambian artist Hannah Uzor, who has previously done portraits of Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles, the portrait of Kate caused a stir as many appeared not to be fans of it claiming it didn’t resemble the Princess at all.
“Is this a joke?” someone commented under the Instagram post of the magazine, while another person added, “This is not HRH The Princess of Wales. God knows who it is, but it is not HRH.” There were those who found the quality of the portrait an insult.

Prior to the excitement and controversy surrounding the royal portraits, Charles bestowed an important title upon Catherine.
In April, he appointed her a Royal Companion of the Order of the Companions of Honour at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Catherine is the first member of the royal family to be honored with this distinction. Established by King George V in 1917, the prestigious award acknowledges exceptional achievements in the arts, science, medicine, or government.

On June 15, which marked King Charles’ official birthday, the Princess of Wales made her first public appearance in six months. Seeing her attend the Trooping the Colour event was a delight for the British public who gathered to celebrate the King’s birthday.
Kate and Charles stood next together on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during the royal family’s appearance. In attendance were also Queen Camilla, Prince William, who was spotted chatting with his wife, as well as the couple’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
“Family is really important to the Princess of Wales and she wanted to be there to support her family,” a royal source said of Princess Kate’s decision to attend the meaningful event. Trooping the Colour is a long-standing British tradition, featuring the British Army’s yearly parade to celebrate the monarch’s official birthday. Kate demonstrated her support for her father-in-law by making the decision to make her public appearance following her cancer diagnosis on that day.

“Catherine has been absolutely amazing. Her statement was extraordinary, and her appearance today was graceful and elegant, and has filled people with hope,”a friend of Kate’s told Daily Beast.
“She knocked it out of the park. She looked amazing and sent all the right messages. This has been the monarchy’s best day since the Coronation,” another insider added.
Reporting on the ceremony, The LondonTimes wrote, “As moments in the royal history books go, it will stake its claim at the top of the pile,” adding how powerful it was to see Kate and King Charles—both undergoing cancer treatment—side by side on the Buckingham Palace balcony. Royal correspondent Roya Nikkhah wrote, “Little happens by accident when it comes to royal pictures and messaging. The sight of Charles shoulder to shoulder with the princess on the Buckingham Palace balcony spoke volumes about his pride in his beloved daughter-in-law.”

Kate’s attendance was planned for some time, but it was only officially revealed that she would make her appearance the day prior at around 6 p.m.
Although she was seen in public looking as dazzling and as charming as ever, the Palace said this appearance should not be confused with her return to royal duties.
In her latest address to the public, Kate wrote, “I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months.
“It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times.”

“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well,” she continued.

Harry and Meghan’s decision to leave Britain behind and raise their children in the States didn’t sit well with the members of the British royalty. According to reports, this is especially true for their grandfather, King Charles, who has only seen Archie five times and Lilibet once since the family settled in California.
Growing up, King Charles didn’t get to spend much time with his parents, who were of course working royals with plenty of commitments, and that is one of the reasons he wants to be more heavily involved in the upbringing of his younger son’s children.
On June 5, Lili celebrated her third birthday. However, no members from her dad’s side of the family were in attendance. In fact, the sole person from the royal family who has ever visited the Sussexes in the States is Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie.
While Charles’ ties to Harry and Meghan remain strained, he feels “heartbroken” he doesn’t see more of Archie and Lili.

Royal expert Ingrid Seward, author of My Mother and I: The Inside Story of the King and Our Late Queen, said Charles’ cancer diagnosis has made his relationship with Archie and Liiibet “all the more poigant,” as he realizes he “won’t be around forever,” while speaking to Mirror.
“Family has always been important to the King. He remembers his own somewhat fragmented childhood as his parents were always busy doing their duty. It is a great sadness to him he doesn’t see more of Archie and Lilibet,” Seward explained.
“That is why he will never break ties with Harry. He does not want a FaceTime relationship with his son’s children. He wants to know them and be involved with their lives while they are still young enough to be able to learn from his wisdom. His cancer has made it all the more poignant to him as he knows that he won’t be around forever.”
Archie and Lili, who were given the titles of Prince and Princess, which are their birth right, following the passing of Queen Elizabeth, are way to young to understand their father’s role within the monarchy. When they grow up, they would decided whether they would keep and use their titles, and whether they would return to the UK and even serve as working royals, a duty their mom and dad gave up on.

So far, what is known is that Meghan is against Archie attending school in the UK at some point due to safety concerns.
In a 2022 piece in The Cut, journalist Allison Davis recalled a conversation with Meghan Markle where she stated she wouldn’t want Archie to attend school in his father’s homeland.
“Earlier in our conversation about her goals for the life she’s creating here, she’d remarked upon how, if Archie were in school in the UK, she’d never be able to do school pickup and drop-off without it being a royal photo call with a press pen of 40 people snapping pictures,” Davis wrote.
Meghan told Allison: “Sorry, I have a problem with that. That doesn’t make me obsessed with privacy. That makes me a strong and good parent protecting my child.”
As Archie is about to attend kindergarten in the fall and Lili will attend preschool, Harry and Meghan are considering a school for their first born. Until they are old enough to begin their studies, include at least high-school or college, they would be attending schools nearby.

However, the rumors of the two starting to look for a school for Archie triggered criticism from some.
Rochard Mineards, with the Montecito Journal, revealed to The Mirror that Harry and Meghan have been eyeing a local private school that costs plenty of money to attend.
“The Riven Rock twosome were spotted inspecting an institution’s campus last week, bringing them one-step closer to a decision,” Mineards said, and added: “School fees in our area range from $60,000 to $50,000 plus for older grades, with most of the institutions having 100 percent of students going on to attend four-year colleges.”
US-based journalist Lee Cohen believes that the decision to enroll their child at such an exclusive school makes Harry and Meghan “frauds.”

In an interview with GB News, he said it’s “infuriating” that the Sussexes are planning to enroll their children in an “outrageously expensive” school, not least since they have the issue of equality close to their hearts.
“It’s utterly infuriating to hear that Harry and Meghan, the self-proclaimed champions of equality and social justice, are even contemplating enrolling their children in an exclusive, outrageously expensive school,” Cohen said.
“Their supposed commitment to progressive causes is nothing but a facade,” he continued. “If they’re willing to indulge in this epitome of elitism, there is no advocating for equality Yet they’re willing to pay staggering tens of thousands per year for their children’s education. How can they possibly justify this when so many families struggle to afford even the basic necessities?”
Cohen ended his tirade by accusing the couple of maintaining their “systems of privilege” despite their claims of opposing it.
“Sending their children to such a prestigious institution completely exposes the frauds that Harry and Meghan are. By perpetuating the very systems of privilege that they claim to expose,” Cohen told GB News.

Reaching a milestone birthday is a huge deal, especially if you turn 90.
As Patty’s 90th birthday was approaching, she was looking forward to spending it with those she loved the most in her life, her daughter Angie and her grandchildren. Angie promised to organize a small party for her mom, and as she wasn’t seeing her family much, Patty was over the moon and couldn’t wait for that day to finally arrive.
Spending time with her grandchildren was a fun time for the elderly woman who felt alone following her husband’s passing. They reminded her of Angie, her own daughter, but they also looked like their father John, whom Angie recently divorced.

Patty was sad her daughter and her husband split because she loved John as though he was her son, but she knew life was like that sometimes, and there was nothing she could do to mend things between them.
When the day of Patty’s birthday arrived, she was very excited, but as time passed by, that excitement turned into worry as Angie was nowhere to be seen. What’s most, she wasn’t answering Patty’s phone calls.
After hours and hours of waiting, the doorbell finally rang. Patty was quick, as she could be considering her advanced age, to answer the door. But instead of Angie and the grandchildren, it was John who was standing there with a box of chocolate and a flower bouquet.

“Happy Birthday, Ma!!” John said with a smile on his face.
“John?! Oh, wow! You didn’t have to,” Patty said, surprised to see him there.
She was glad he even remembered. But that didn’t really come as a surprise as John has always been a very thoughtful person.
Patty invited him to join her for dinner. John was hesitant at first, but once he realized Patty was all by herself at that moment he said yes.
What’s most, being an amazing cook, John even helped his ex mother-in-law to prepare the food.

As the two finally started having dinner, John asked about Angie. He wondered if she would mind him being there, at her mom’s house. Patty said she wouldn’t because she wasn’t probably coming since she hadn’t returned any of Patty’s calls.
John got worried and offered to call her. This time, Angie picked up the phone.
The two talked for a short while and then John told Patty the reason why her daughter wasn’t coming to her home on her birthday.
“It turns out Angie, her new boyfriend, and the kids are all on vacation,” John said with a worrying voice.
Patty was surprised. She wouldn’t understand why her daughter would hide such a thing from her. John was as angry because Angie took the kids on vacation without telling him or consulting with him.

Patty didn’t even know Angie was seeing someone and asked John if he knew who that man was.
“She’d mentioned something in passing, but a whole vacation?! And apparently, they’d been planning it for about a month now. Excuse me, Patty, but I believe your daughter’s taken things a little too far this time,” John said, visibly disturbed.
Patty was as disappointed. The least Angie could do was tell both her mom and the father to her children about her plans and that she wouldn’t be around for Patty’s milestone birthday.
Later, Patty had a few words with her daughter, but her act still felt like a betrayal.

One of King Charles’ closest friends, Ian Farquhar, passed away after a period of declining health in the cottage he rented on the monarch’s Highgrove Estate. He was well known for his wicked sense of humor and as one of the best huntsmen in Britain.
Highly esteemed and respected within the hunting communities of Britain and the United States, Farquhar was also a well-regarded and sociable equerry to The Queen Mother during his time as a young Army officer.
At the time of his passing, he was 78 years of age.
The friendship between Farquhar and King Charles translated into a friendship between their children following their brief romance. Back in 2000, while Prince William was on a school break, he and Farquhar’s daughter, Rose, spent some lovely time together in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, creating cherished memories. She’s described as the Prince’s “first love.” William attended her wedding to George Gemmell in 2022.
Queen Camilla’s first husband, Andrew Parker Bowles, told Richard Eden of the Daily Mail that the famous huntsman’s passing was ‘very sad’ and that his health had been declining in recent months. Bowles described his friend as “wild as a hawk in his youth, but always great fun.”
He added that Farquhar, who never took himself too seriously, would be “judged by history as one of the great Master of Hounds.”
Farquhar’s primary distinction as a huntsman was his role as Master of the Beaufort Hunt, a renowned hunt that is the oldest and largest in the West Country.
The Beaufort Hunt paid tribute to Farquhar on their Instagram page by posting a carousel showing the great huntsman at different stages of life, along with the caption, “It is with broken hearts we send our love and condolences to the family and friends of our own Captain Ian Farquhar, who so brilliantly piloted us for 34 years and passed away peacefully this week.”
The post continued: “‘Captain’ as he was known by many was loved and cherished by the entire hunting community, as someone who was supportive, kind and always there with excellent forward thinking advice for anyone who asked him.
“He had a wicked sense of humor and anyone who was lucky enough to be in his company and listen to tales of his extremely varied and adventurous life both in the army and the hunting world will hold onto those memories forever.”

Following his cancer diagnosis, King Charles has taken some time to commit to the treatments which meant he was absent for some time and his schedule was cleared of any royal engagements. During that time, it was his wife, Queen Camilla who stepped up big way fulfilled a number of significant royal duties. What’s most, she became the temporary lynchpin of the Royal Family.
It is certain that it took Camilla years to get to be loved by the public, especially following the scrutiny she faced after Princess Diana’s tragic death. Today, however, Camilla is a much-loved member of the British royalty.
Speaking of her role amid King Charles’ battle with cancer, royal expert Angela Levin referred to Camilla as to the one “holding the royal family” together.

“I mean, to wait till you’re 73 is a long time before you can take the crown. I think obviously, at his age, it’s very difficult, but he’s very determined, and he’s only really just started to be king,” Levin said during an appearance on GB News.
“Supporting him very much, absolutely by his side, is Queen Camilla, who is going to all the engagements that they would have gone to together on her own.”
“And so that way he will feel it’s still moving, it’s still running, and they can discuss it and talk about it. And I think that’s marvelous. I mean, she is holding the Royal Family up and being strong. If you imagine 30 years ago, people were saying the whole Royal Family would absolutely disintegrate, and she would be of no use.”
Besides not being fan of being in the spotlight, Camilla did her best to fulfill the royal engagements she was assigned, being perceived as “accessible” to the public along the way.

Royal expert and former correspondent Charles Rae was among those who praised Camilla for her work, saying she is “one of the best things to happen to the Royal Family” in a “good number of years.”
“There’s no question about it, she stepped into the breach. She’s got everything on her shoulders with what’s going on, and she’s taking on even more work,” Rae told GB News.
“Everywhere she goes, she has got a cheery smile on and a happy face. She says the right things. She has proved to be a remarkable asset to the Royal Family, given the allegations that at one time she had bread rolls thrown at her in a supermarket car park.”
The expert concluded: “I remember her when she was the most hated woman in Britain. I’ve met her several times and she’s charming, she’s witty, she’s really nice to chat to, and certainly when she’s chatting to people, she has done her homework as to who she’s chatting to.”
On Wednesday, Camilla accompanied her husband and Prince William to the 80th anniversary of D-Day in Portsmouth in which a number of WWII veterans got to speak of the war. Among them was Navy veteran Eric Bateman, who served in HMS Erebus off Utah Beach.

During his speech, the Queen was spotted with tears in her eyes. Her emotional response wasn’t something people expected since royals do not usually express extreme emotions while on duty.
In the speech that touched Camilla to the core, Bateman said, among the rest, “I’m lucky to be here 80 years later with two of my great-grandchildren. So many men and women, including my dear friend Fred, joined up with me but unfortunately never made it. I’m proud to be here today to all of them and to make sure they will always be remembered.”
His great-granddaughters also spoke, saying: “Without them, we wouldn’t have the freedoms we enjoy today. We will never forget. Thank you.”
King Charles also gave speech during the event.
“The stories of courage, resilience and solidarity which we have heard today, and throughout our lives, cannot fail to move us, to inspire us, and to remind us of what we owe to that great wartime generation – now, tragically, dwindling to so few,” he said.
“It is our privilege to hear their testimony, but our role is not purely passive: it is our duty to ensure that we, and future generations, do not forget their service and their sacrifice in replacing tyranny with freedom.”

Camilla wore pink outfit, which some found strange because royals usually wear black during remembrance events. Some, however, believe that her choice of color is a tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth who wore light colors.
A day after the event, the King and Queen went to France where they met with the French president Emanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron. They attended a commemorative event at the British Normandy Memorial.
What caught the attention of many was the first lady of France breaking royal protocol when she reached for Camilla’s arm. Camilla then moved away, not wanting to hold hands. Her reaction, however, caused a stir and divided people’s opinions.
“Move into the 21st century for god’s sake!” one user posted on X.
“The first lady of France is not bound by British royal protocol, just as Americans aren’t,” a second person stated. “She reached for Camilla’s hand at a meaningful ceremonial moment.”
A third person added, “Camilla should have held her hand warmly, and taken the opportunity to bring the Royal family into the 21st century,” while a fourth noted, “Brigitte Macron was reaching out as the wife of the French Head of State, in a gesture of solidarity between France and Britain.”

Royal experts also gave their opinion regarding Camilla’s gesture with political commentator Emma Woolf stating that the queen’s move was “unworthy,” demanding that the royal protocol be more flexible.
“I like Camilla, but I thought this was unworthy of her,” she told royal expert and host Mark Dolan during an appearance on GB News. “It costs nothing to return a little hand squeeze. She has only been Queen for a year or so.
“There is nothing wrong with taking someone’s hand. If you take a look at the Princess of Wales or even Meghan Markle out and about, they are hugging, they are interacting with the public. I think this royal protocol nonsense is rubbish. Brigitte Macron is not a ‘commoner’. She is the wife of the French President. I thought it was really unnecessary.”
Dolan disagreed with Woolf and said the queen was simply following royal protocol.
“There is one person who will be looking down on what she did there with such joy and pride,” Dolan said on GB News. “And that is Queen Elizabeth II. If the late Queen was there, she would have said, ‘well done, Camilla’.”

With the few exceptions of celebs who have stayed together for years and are still going strong, most Hollywood marriages end up in divorce eventually and the public is always eager to learn more when to A-list starts separate.
Most recently, the media has been obsessed with the relationship between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, who tied the knot in July 2022 following a second engagement.
Amid the rumors of their split, photos of Affleck and his ex, Jennifer Garner, have gone viral, heating the speculations even further.
These outings between the Argo star and his former spouse – the two have been spotted together in Santa Monica most recently – have made some of Lopez’s fans mad so they were quick to share their opinion on the social media.
Expressing their sympathy for Lopez, one person wrote, “Garner is a dangerous, obsessed woman, using kids to control a weak man, one with addiction and depression issues.”
Another added they were happy because Affleck and Garner split because him being unhappy with her was the reason for his alcohol addiction.
Of course, there were also those who believed the exes made a great couple back in the day. “Ben and Garner are the real ‘Bennifer.’ They belong together with their kids but Ben is a fool.”
The truth is that Affleck and Garner remained friends who co-parent nicely. Before, they were spotted hugging one another. The two were dressed in casual outfits. Affleck wore blue jeans, a gray long-sleeved top, and white Air-Jordan Nikes, while Garner had gray slacks, a long-sleeved black top, and sunglasses.
In fact, Garner and Lopez seem to be getting along as well, with a person close to them describing their relationship as “very cordial and very healthy and functioning.”
Garner, who is in a new relationship following her divorce from Affleck, is happy with her new family dynamics, a person close to her said. “A great space and feels good about where things currently stand with her new family dynamics.” The source added: “[Affleck and Garner] have open communication and both are working to make this transition the best it could possibly be.”
While many believe that Affleck’s personal life is falling apart, he’s doing great in terms of work. In August, the film he co-produces and stars in, The Instigators, will be released.

Dustin Hoffman, the Rain Man star, has undergone a battle with cancer back in 2013 and ended up a winner. However, despite this fact, he never really spoke of his journey to being healthy again.
At the time, a spokeswoman for the then-75-year-old actor-director confirmed that Hoffman is “feeling great and in good health” after undergoing cancer treatment. Publicist Jodi Gottlieb shaed with the site that Hoffman’s cancer was detected early and “surgically cured.”
It was in 1967 that Hoffman had his breakthrough role in the romantic comedy The Graduate, which earned him his first Academy Award nomination. He was 30 at the time, and the rest is history. Over the years, he has landed a huge number of roles that placed him high on the list of best male actors there are.
Among the movies he played in are All the President’s Men (1976) and 1979’s Kramer vs. Kramer.
The film Tootsie, in which he played a man who dressed as a woman in order to land a role in a soap opera, was among those that left a long-lasting impression on the actor himself.
“If I was going to be a woman, I would want to be as beautiful as possible, and they said to me, ‘That’s as good as it gets.’ Uh, that’s as beautiful as we can get you,” Hoffman recalled in an interview with ABC News. When he heard that he wasn’t dubbed very pretty, the now 86-year-old actor had an epiphany that forever changed how he treats women.
“I went home and started crying,” Hoffman recalled. “I think I’m an interesting woman, when I look at myself on-screen, and I know that if I met myself at a party I would never talk to that character because she doesn’t fulfill, physically, the demands that we’re brought up to think women have to have in order for us to ask them out.”
Reaching the second highest grossing film of that year, Hoffman said that although it made many laugh, Tootsie was never a comedy for him.
In 1988, Hoffman won his second Oscar, for Rain Main – he earned his first for Kramer vs. Kramer – and went on to receive six Golden Globes and one Primetime Emmy.
His career was at his peak and he was in demand, but then, in 2013, he somehow fell quiet.
Many of his fans wondered where and why he was hiding, but it wasn’t until a few months following his directorial debut of the British comedy Quartet (2012), and shortly after finishing production on Chef (2014) in which he co-starred with Jon Favreau and Sofia Vergara, that a representative shared the reason of his reclusive behavior.
He battled cancer and he kept that battle private, his publicist shared with People.
“It was detected early, and he has been surgically cured,” Gottlieb said. “Dustin is feeling great and is in good health.” It has been suggested that he had throat cancer.
It’s been almost 11 years since he was cured, and despite the health difficulties he had experienced, Hoffman never slowed down. Since his cancer diagnosis was revealed, he starred in a number of movies, including Sam and Kate in 2022 and the 2024 sci-fi drama Megalopolis. He has also loaned his voice to Master Shifu in two more installments of the Kung Fu Panda franchise (2008 to 2024).
Recently, he and his wife were spotted on the streets of London and looked as in love as ever. “The Hollywood legend looked years younger than 86 as he smiled and waved at the cameras. He was tanned and carefree as he strolled through the city and ducked into boutiques with his wife of 43 years, wrote Hello!”

Recently, Oprah Winfrey’s spokesperson announced on Instagram that she would be appearing on CBS Mornings to announce her newest book club pick. Unfortunately, over the weekend, the popular host became ill with a stomach virus. Gayle King stepped in to explain why Winfrey was absent.
“Ms. Winfrey is recovering following a stomach virus and received an IV due to dehydration at the recommendation of her doctor,” a representative for Winfrey told CNN in a statement on Tuesday. “She is resting and feeling better every day.”
In a video call posted on Gayle King’s Instagram page, Winfrey told her best friend and journalist that she “couldn’t keep enough water down to keep her hydrated,” which led her to seek hospital treatment.
King told viewers that Winfrey will ultimately “be OK” following the health setback.
“[I hope] she’s not mad at me for sharing that detail,” she added.
In a joint interview for the New York Times in January, Winfrey and King enthusiastically praised each other and discussed the reasons behind their strong friendship.
“She is a blunt truth-teller. Even if you don’t want to hear it,” King said of Winfrey at the time. “[We] enjoy each other very, very much.”
Back in January, Winfrey showed that despite being 70 she’s very physically active.
The video she posted on Instagram showed the media mogul running on the beach together with her pup and another woman. In the caption, she prized health as the best gift and thanked people who sent her birthday wishes.
Many were amazed by Winfrey’s physical strength at her age and were quick to comment under the video.
She also wrote an article reflecting on turning 70 a day before her birthday, which was published on Oprah Daily.
“As I turn 70, I know how blessed I am to be here. Honestly, getting older when you have the means to take care of yourself is a gift to be treasured […] to reach this major milestone feels like grace in action.”
Winfrey chose a more laid-back celebration instead of an extravagant one, citing advice from a friend. Despite receiving numerous lavish suggestions for how to celebrate, she decided to keep it simple.
“I […] finally did what one friend, Wintley, recommended. He said, ‘You’re too blessed to stress. Savor the fragrances of your extraordinary life.'”
In another part of her article she said she strives to begin each day with joy, recognizing the blessing of being alive and the opportunity to embark on new endeavors. “At my age, you recognize the poignancy of time passing.”
She perceives aging as a gift, “And you know, people say that you’re never as young as you are right now at this moment. And while that may be true, I’m okay with that because aging brings great gifts—like being able to do more things that you want to do rather than what you have to do.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have settled down nicely in Sunny California. They don’t seem to miss their former lives as working royals much since they are now free to act as they wish without asking for permission or follow protocols and traditions.
Not only they landed multi-million dollars deals with several companies, among which Netflix, but they also have friends they spend quality time with. Overall, their life in the States blossomed, and Harry has always felt welcomed there, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that everyone is happy with him living in America. One of those people who would like to see Harry leave the States is no other than former president Donald Trump.
Last year, The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank in the U.S., sued the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for accessing Prince Harry’s immigration records. When applying for certain U.S. visas, applicants must disclose any history of drug use, which can lead to their application being denied.

In his memoir Spare, Harry admitted to using various drugs and psychedelics, including cocaine, marijuana, and magic mushrooms. However, it is unclear if he disclosed this on his visa application. In March, Donald Trump suggested that Harry could be deported from the U.S. if he lied about his past drug use on the visa application.
“We’ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they’ll have to take appropriate action,” Trump told GB News in March.
Later, Trump said that in case he wins the 2024 elections, he wouldn’t protect the prince.

“I wouldn’t protect him. He betrayed the Queen. That’s unforgivable. He would be on his own if it was down to me,” Trump told the Express, adding that according to him the Royal Family was “too gracious” to the Duke after “what he has done.”
Back in 2019, Donald Trump visited the UK, and as part of the trip, he met with the various senior members of the British Royal Family, including then-Prince Charles – the two apparently spoke on climate change – and, of course, the late Queen Elizabeth II.
At around the same time, there were some tensions that involved Meghan Markle.
Namely, during an appearance on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, Markle spoke of Trump, who was running for a president at the time, as of “misogynistic” and “divisive.” What’s most, she shared she would give her vote to his opponent, Hillary Clinton.

Fast forward to Donald’s UK visit, Meghan had just given birth to Archie and was on maternity leave, so she didn’t appear during the state visit. Other reports suggested that she and Trump were intentionally kept apart to avoid an embarrassing clash, especially due to comments the then-president made before arriving in the UK.
Speaking with The Sun at the Oval Office, Trump said he had never heard Meghan’s words about him.
“I didn’t know that. What can I say? I didn’t know that she was nasty,” he told the magazine.
Of course, neither Meghan nor Harry were happy with Trump calling her nasty. Later on, Harry was actually scheduled to attend a lunch at which Trump was also supposed to be present. As the Duke was expected to remain politically neutral, he was supposed to “toe the line” around the US President.

“The Royal Family will be professional and duty-bound. But Prince Harry will be going to a private lunch with the Queen on Monday with Donald Trump and the First Lady, how incredibly awkward this is going to be for Prince Harry. He will lay on his very best charm because that is what he has been raised to do; that is what he is required to do,” royal expert Victoria Arbiter told the Express at the time.
She added: “So I think yes [the royal family] are all sort of aware of Donald Trump and how he has put his foot in it on numerous occasions. But Harry is there to support his grandmother, he will also be there to say thank you to Melania Trump because she did lead the US team to Toronto in 2017 for the Invictus Games.”
Harry and Melania met back in 2017 but it wasn’t a meeting that attracted the public’s attention. One detail on the photo the two took together, however, did make a hot topic.

Harry, who was still a working royal at the time, spent around 30 minutes with Melania before attending the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games in Toronto.
The detail which made many scratch their heads was Harry’s position of his hand. The Duke held his hand half-tucked into his jacket, with the pinky and index fingers sticking out, which many interpreted as the devil horns.This symbol can be traced back to the Middle Ages to ward off evil spirits.
However, besides what people said, body language experts have other explanations.
According to body language Patti Wood, the public misunderstood Harry’s gesture. “This is called the horn or the devil’s horn, and what people are saying in the media about it is not correct,” Wood told Huffington Post. “It is not a sign that he’s the devil, but rather a warning off of evil spirits. It’s a protective gesture against evil or darkness and illness.”

Wood noted that placing one hand on the stomach can be interpreted as a self-comforting gesture and explained that several world leaders have exhibited this same gesture when photographed with Donald Trump.
“I’ve seen world leaders in photo shoots with Trump and I see a lot of what are called self-comfort cues. This would be considered one of those. It looks like the devil’s horn but it is also hand to belly,” Wood concluded.
“At the very least it would be a comfort cue, and show a lot of tension and a need to protect his central core.”
Joe Navarro, another body language expert, said the position of Harry’s hand had nothing to do with the devil. “Had the photographers loitered too long? Is there something else going on?” Navarro said.

“I have to wonder, was he going to unbutton his jacket and then changed his mind? Was he in prep for sitting and then they asked him to stand again to do more photos? To me, you can’t draw too many inferences from the photo. I wouldn’t personally read too much into that.
“There was some psychological discomfort. The look of his face, the look of his hand is very unusual, except for the fact that he and his brother have a tendency to cover their belly which is a self-soothing behavior to deal with a bit of tension.”
From body language expert Tonya Reiman’s point of view, the prince was simply getting comfortable.
“For me, this was more of a comfort gesture,” she said. “Covering your stomach makes you feel more relaxed, more comfortable. When he heard the cameras going off, he was just getting comfortable.”

When Hank met Maya it was like his life finally felt complete. He was infatuated by her, and that infatuation turned into love. Feeling like she was his soulmate, he proposed to her and she said yes.
Their relationship seemed perfect. The two spent plenty of time preparing for their wedding, but when the big day finally arrived, Maya walked down the aisle and instead of embracing Hank she threw her bouquet at him and ran away from the church. He soon learned that her ex-boyfriend was waiting for her outside.
Left at the alter, he felt devastated and as though his world collapsed.
However, he never lost hope that love would find the way to his life and heart again, and he was right.
After some time, Hank met a new woman, Susan. The two fell in love and soon married.
Life felt perfect again. They got married and welcomed two beautiful children together.
Hank was very honest with Susan and told her everything about his past and how his ex left him on the day of their wedding. Susan did feel sorry for the pain he had gone through, but she was glad he didn’t marry Maya.
Years passed by, and Hank didn’t even think of Maya until one day Susan started calling his name asking him to come to the living room. Susan was watching a reality show when she heard the woman on TV, whose name was Maya, share a familiar story.
It was indeed Maya. She was part of some reality TV show where she spoke how she left her fiance at the altar and ran away with her ex. It could be seen from the way she spoke that she was proud of what she did. She didn’t feel even a tiny bit of remorse for her action.
“I can’t believe she’s still bragging about it,” Susan said, shaking her head. But Hank didn’t mind Maya’s words. He turned to Susan and said, “Let her have her moment of fame. We have something much better – a real, loving marriage.”
Maya broke Hank’s heart in the past, but that led to something beautiful, him meeting Susan and building the perfect life with her. His love for Susan was strong and genuine and she gave him everything Maya could never offer.

Joanne Webber, 26 at the time, had been working with orcas for five years when an incident that left her with a broken neck took place in 1987. While she was in the tank, the 6,000-pound mammal landed on top of her, pushing her to the bottom of the pool.
The orca in question, Kandu V, had been involved in several incidents prior to the one Webber was hurt in.
John Hargrove, a former SeaWorld trainer who appeared in the 2013 documentary Blackfish, told The Sun Online that although he wasn’t working at the park at the time, he heard about the incident afterwards and said Webber was left in “excruciating pain.”
He added that the trainer was heard yelling, “I think my neck is broken” as she made several attempts to escape out of the pool and save herself.

According to The Los Angeles Times, during the practice session Kandu V leapt into the air before landing on Webber with its full force, “fracturing her neck and thrusting her underwater to the bottom of a 40-foot-deep pool.”
Later, Webber sued SeaWorld in a case that was settled out of court for a sum unknown.
Ever since this incident, SeaWorld forbade trainers from swimming with the massive mammals. The park also added at the time that their orcas are not aggressive and receive world-class care by a number of specialist who practice “positive reinforcement.”

As per Webber’s lawsuit filed at San Diego Superior Court in June 1988, she was told the mammals were “gentle” and “safe” thus she made the decision to be inside the pool with them. The suit further claimed that staff members worsened her condition because they delayed her medical treatment by urging her to remove her wetsuit at the park so it wouldn’t be damaged by medical personnel.
Webber alleged park workers “well knew that killer whales had a dangerous propensity for attacking, ramming, dragging and smashing persons located in the pool,” but didn’t tell her. She claimed Kandu V often exhibited “extreme characteristics of aggression when frustrated. She does occasionally bite and aggressively rake other whales.”

This wasn’t the first reported cases of the same mammal attacking a person. Months prior, former SeaWorld trainer Jonathan Smith was also attacked by Kandu V, but this time another orca, Kenau, joined in. In the three minutes that the attack lasted, Smith suffered serious injuries, including bruised kidneys and ribs as well as a cut on his liver. He spent nine days at the hospital. Just like in Webber’s case, Smith’s lawsuit was settled out of court.

Despite the two attacks, Kandu V continued performing for SeaWorld until her life ended in a horrific manner on August 21, 1989.
While Kandu V’s daughter Orkid performed a show with another female orca, Orkid, Kandu V, which was in a side back pool, started ramming into Orkid at full speed with her mouth open. At that moment, she broke her jaw, severing a major artery in her nasal passages.
To the shock of the visitors, Kandu V started spouting blood out of her blowhole and died.
According to SeaWorld, Kandu V fought for dominance and her behavior wasn’t out of the ordinary. “It’s common behavior. For the survival of any species, the stronger animal has to rule,” vet Jim McBain told the LA Times at the time. “The death was an unexpected shock, but the altercation was not a rare event at all. It was normal behavior.”
In 2016, SeaWorld promised to stop breeding orcas in captivity.

The star of films Speed Racer and The Good German, Christian Oliver, and his two daughters were killed in a plane crash in the Caribbean, according to police in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The police further explained that the crash occurred Thursday just west of Petit Nevis island near Bequia as the plane headed for nearby St. Lucia. They were traveling with a single-engine plane which allegedly had some problems early in the flight and then crashed into the water.
“Moments after taking off, the aircraft experienced difficulties and plummeted into the ocean,” investigators said.

As per a statement from the Royal SVG Police Force, local divers, fishermen, and members of the coast guard rushed to the scene to render assistance.
Military personnel were eventually able to recover the bodies of those onboard the plane: Oliver, his girls, Madita, 10, and Annik, 12 and the aircraft’s pilot and owner, Robert Sachs from Bequia.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
According to Deadline, the actor had just finished shooting his last scenes for the upcoming movie Forever Hold Your Peace. The director, Nick Lyon, posted a photo of himself and Oliver on Instagram ate Thursday night.

“We talked about producing a film together for years and finally did it,” Lyon wrote, adding that he and the late actor worked on five projects together throughout the years. “Thank you for being a great colleague, actor and friend.”
Lyon further referred to Oliver as to “such a brave actor and a beautiful person.”
Oliver’s ex wife and mother to their daughters said in a statement, “The deep bond, infectious laughter, and adventurous spirit shared by Madita and Annik will be profoundly missed in their communities,” among the rest.

Starting her story, the woman explained that she and her fiance have been together for six years and engaged for eight months. One day, he made a rather unusual request. He wanted her to wear a red dress on the wedding day. As it is a tradition for the bride to wear white, she was puzzled by his words but didn’t pay much attention at the time. She only told him that she would wear white and although he seemed annoyed by her answer, he let the matter drop.
Around two weeks before the wedding, OP purchased her wedding gown. It was a beautiful white dress that fit her perfectly. Her fiance requested to see the dress, but she though it would be for the best for him to see her in it on the day of the wedding. He, however, insisted, and after a couple of minutes he asked about the color. When she told him it was white, he got really mad.
Perplexed by his preference of red, she asked him why he didn’t want her to wear white on her wedding day and his answer made her question their future together.
As it turned out, when the two met, he was still a virgin and she had a single previous partner so he considered her not to be ‘pure’ and only those women who were ‘pure’ were allowed to wear white on their wedding day.

In a desperate attempt to win the argument, he contacted his mother. Just as OP, she was shocked by her son’s words. She sided with OP and told her son that if he wanted his future wife to red because she wasn’t a virgin then he should wear red as well. Disgusted by his words, she started contemplating the decision to marry him.

Her first date with the new man in her life took place at a lovely waterfront seafood restaurant in North Carolina.
