Soldier, 19, found dead after reporting ‘abusive’ boss

Soldier Jaysley Beck, a Royal Artillery Gunner based at Larkhill Camp in Wiltshire, was found dead at her base camp in December 2021.

This week, an inquest showed the teenager was “scared” by the “psychotic and possessive” behavior by her boss, Bombardier Ryan Mason, prior to her decision to take her own life.

Mason sent Beck over 3,600 message in a period of a single month and his behavior was determined to be a “casual factor” in her passing.

In one of the message beck sent to Mason, the young soldier wrote that she felt “trapped” and that his obsessive behavior “was freaking her out.”

Further, the soldier’s mom, Leighann McCready, said her daughter felt unsafe as the situation involving her boss intensified.

During the hearing, the court showed a number of WhatsApp message between Soldier Beck and her boss between October 2021 and December 2021.

A message from October 21, showed Mason writing: “Love you Jayse. As a friend.” One sent on October 27 read: “I’m renaming you in my phone as the magician.”

Then on November 11, he wrote: “You’re amazing Jayse, I appreciate you so much, I love everything about you, even your flaws.

“I will always be there along for the ride with you, I have said it before but you’re stuck with me forever now. I love you x As a friend, I love you.”

On November 25, Gunner Beck wrote back to her boss: “This whole falling in love with me, its becoming a bit too much, I have just come out of a relationship and I’m just not wanting to be involved in anything like this.

“It’s weighing me down a little bit, I’ll be totally honest with you.”

She added: “Totally honest here, I just don’t want to hear how you feel about me.”

According to her mom, Beck said she felt Mason had hacked her phone as he knew exactly where she was at every moment.

Days before her death, Beck called her mother and expressed her fears over Mason yet again. She said she was “creeped out” by him.

The inquest, that took place on February 11, 2025, revealed that the young soldier was allegedly assaulted by another colleague, Battery Sergeant Major Michael Webber, after a work social gathering in July 2021.

He only received a minor sanction, and Beck received an apology letter from him.

That incident discouraged her from reporting Mason.

Beck didn’t experience any mental problems in the past, but her boss’ obsessive behavior towards her took its toll. She became withdrawn and distressed which affected her mental well-being.

The inquest into this young soldier’s death is ongoing. The question raised is whether the military could have done more than they did to protect her and prevent a tragedy from taking place.

Reality star hospitalized for surgery after doctors discover multiple tumors in her brain

Teddi Mellencamp, star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, had been experiencing “severe and debilitating” headaches and was later hospitalized for “unbearable” discomfort.

The TV personality, who was part of the reality show for three seasons, revealed that following the doctor’s visit, they discovered she had multiple tumors in her brain.

“Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization,” Mellencamp wrote on her Instagram page Wednesday. “After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumours on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least six months.”

She informed her followers that doctors would surgically remove two of the tumors that day, February 12. The rest of the tumors, the smaller ones, will “be dealt with via radiation at a later date.”

“I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health,” she wrote. “Thank you to everybody who has reached out, and to everyone who has supported me along this journey.”

Before the procedure, Mellencamp, who was diagnosed with stage II melanoma back in 2022, documented her journey before the surgeries.

Sharing a photo of herself from the hospital bed, she wrote, “Counting down the minutes until my babies get here.”

She also added a saying by her dad, the famous rock star John Mellencamp, that read, “As my dad said this am, God only gives hard stuff to those of us who can handle it. It’s a hard day but I have faith and amazing surgeons and know everything will be ok.”

Mellencamp shares three children and a stepson with former husband Edwin Arroyave, whom she separated from in November.

Arroyave was by her side during her procedures and shared an update on the reality star’s condition, telling her followers that the surgeries went well.

“So many people asking for updates. All I will say right now is surgery went well. That said, I’ve never seen @teddimellencamp in so much pain. She’s finally getting some much needed rest. I know she is grateful for the outpouring of love.”

This isn’t the first time Mellencamp to undergo surgeries. In fact, she revealed on the podcast Him & Her in February that she had over 20 surgeries due to her skin melanoma diagnosis.

We wish Teddi Mellencamp a speedy recovery.

Stranded astronauts to be paid a shocking amount after 8-day mission turns into months

When they began their mission to space in June 2024, astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry ‘Butch’ Wilmore probably didn’t expect that the planned eight days at the International Space Station would turn into months.

The Boeing capsule they traveled to space with experienced technical issues, including helium leak. As a result, the two astronauts were forced to stay in space. The mission of their possible return home has been delayed several times so far. Now NASA expects them to get back home somewhere in March.

Williams and Wilmore will be transported via the Crew-10 mission.

President Donald Trump accused Biden’s administration for abandoning the two astronauts and called Elon Musk and SpaceX to “go get them.”

“Elon will soon be on his way. Hopefully, all will be safe,” Trump said. “Good luck Elon!!!”

Musk took to X to answer that he will do so.

However, while the media refers to the astronauts as stranded, astrophysicist Jonathan McDowell says that’s not the case. He highlights that “the party line at NASA is that the astronauts are not stranded,” insisting that “it’s way overblown.

“They’re fine,” McDowell explains. “They just got to do an extra spacewalk, which they love. They’ll come home on the next ride.”

Despite finding themselves in a situation that is out of their control, NASA claims Williams and Wilmore are in good spirits, assuring the public that their basic needs, like food and clothing, are well taken care of.

During a call, Williams said, “It’s just been a joy to be working up here.

“It doesn’t feel like we’re cast away. Eventually, we want to go home, because we left our families a little while ago, but we have a lot to do while we’re up here.”

In fact, the astronauts are doing a series of experiments, spacewalks, and other routine operations while in space.

Expectedly, the question of how much they will be paid for their overly-prolonged stay was raised by the media and the public.

However, the answer isn’t something we’d expect.

Retired NASA astronaut Cady Coleman revealed for the Washingtonian that being federal employees, besides their salary, astronauts are paid the same as any employee at a business trip anywhere on Earth.

“There is some small amount of money per day for incidentals that they end up being legally obligated to pay you,” she said.

For her, it was around $4 (£3.19) per day. 

If this is the case, both Williams and Wilmore would only be paid an extra $1,004 (£801.27) for their time.

Man releases chilling never-before-seen footage of Twin Towers collapse

A never-before-seen-footage of the collapse of Twin Towers was shared by a witness 23 years after the horrific event.

The video, posted on YouTube by Kei Sugimoto, was taken from a previously “unseen angle.”

According to Kei, it was taken “from the roof of 64 St Marks Place in NYC on a Sony VX2000 with teleconverter” on September 11, 2001, with a Sony VX2000 camera.

He recalled the tragic day saying he first believed that a fire broke in the building. However, it wasn’t until the second attack took place that he realized what had really happened.

Kei discovered the footage after going through some old boxes.

He was concerned that some of the tapes were ruined, but he then tried to digitize the one of the Twin Towers collapsing and shared it online.

The footage of the Twin Towers collapsing is a painful reminder of the day that changed not only America but the entire world.

“This footage offers a unique perspective not seen from the south or east,” one person commented. It wasn’t long until many realized it was indeed a unique recording.

“It’s crazy that we’re almost 23 years out and still getting new footage,” a person on Reddit commented.

The release of the video, that has since gone viral, highlights the importance of preserving historical records. “Makes me wonder how much history is being stored in people’s attics or basements waiting to be unearthed,” someone commented. Honestly, we ask ourselves the same question.

This never-before-seen footage that offers a different perspective serves as a reminder for the future generations of the scale of the tragedy and the lasting impact it left.

The 9/11 attack, when 19 members of the Al-Qaeda terrorist group hijacked four planes and used them as weapons in a coordinated assault on the United States, with two of those planes striking the World Trade Center in New York City and causing the Twin Towers to collapse, resulted in nearly 3,000 deaths.

It was a sad, sad day for America and its citizens.

The US secrets Donald Trump wowed to declassify, including Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘client list’

Following his election win over opponent Kamala Harris, Donald Trump returned to the White House for the second time and didn’t waste any time fulfilling the promises he made during the presidential campaign.

Mere hours following his inauguration, Trump signed a number of executive orders and promised to declassify files related to major global events that have been the subject of conspiracy theories over the years.

Trump appointed Florida congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna to lead the declassification task force after her call for “transparency” in federal government.

So, what can the public expect to be declassified under Trump’s presidency?

Files related to COVID-19, the virus that spread worldwide and claimed the lives of many, is one of the events the president wants to look into, more precisely, documents detailing the virus’s origin, which was believed to be released from a laboratory in China.

Further, Trump would allow classified documents related to the 1963 assassination of President John F Kennedy to be released. With this, he would also declassify documents of the assassinations of Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and Rev Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. 

Speaking of the files regarding these cases of assassination, Trump said, “Lot of people are waiting for this for a long, long time, for years, for decades, and everything will be revealed.”

Speaking to podcaster Joe Rogan, President Trump revealed,”I did partially open [the files].

“I think I’ve opened 50% but I was asked not to do it, and I thought that was a reasonable ask. But now I’m going to do it. I’m going to do it very soon. There’s a lot of interest in it.”

Another case that has been of great interest to the public, and the president himself obviously, is the case of Jeffrey Epstein, who was jailed for s*x trafficking and s*x charges.

Epstein’s death in prison while awaiting trial on new child trafficking charges led to numerous conspiracy theories about the clients who were using his services.

Under Trump’s presidency, Epstein’s “client list” is expected to be made public once the files are declassified by the federal government.

While Trump was a known associate of Epstein in the past, there are no suggestion of any wrongdoing by the president in the case of the s*x offender.

Whether this “client list” differs from Epstein’s so-called “black book” which includes high-profile figures is yet to be seen.

Karen Valentine, the star of ‘Room 222,’ recalls an ‘awful’ experience she had on ‘The Dating Game’

Back in the day, The Dating Game was the first ever dating reality show which opened the path for a number of similar shows that followed. This one, however, served another purpose, too, that of a launchpad for new actors, among which Suzanne Somers, Tom Selleck, Leif Garret, and Karen Valentine.

Before agreeing to be part of the show, Valentine was a former beauty queen who was then given the chance to interview three eligible bachelors hidden behind a dividing wall.

However, as she believed the experience would be a fun one, her ‘pick’ made it terrible.

Recalling her appearance on The Dating Game, the now 77-year-old actress shared with Closer Weekly, “That was awful, because the guy thought that this was really going to be a date, right? The Dating Game got more serious later where people would be sent on trips.” She then added: “I only got to go to the Ambassador Hotel to see a show, but the guy thought we were going to make out in the limo and it, was, like, ‘You know this is a first date, right?’ It was so sleazy. You’d go to dinner and then to a show, which is the prize I won, but the guy thought this was serious. I wanted to get out of the date. You know, ‘Save the money, who needs to go on a date? Let me do another show. Give me a shot at acting or something.’”

Although the experience wasn’t a pleasant one, the show did help her land roles, including the one in Room 222, which catapulted her into stardom.

In 1970, Room 222 cleaned up at the Primetime Emmy Awards, earning titles for Outstanding New Series, while Valentine and Michael Constantine both won supporting roles.

This was everything a young actress like Karen Valentine dreamed of.

It seemed surreal that she earned such a prestigious award at the start of her career.

“It was kind of mind-blowing to have that happen so soon, so quickly,” said Valentine of her first nomination and win. “And to meet Carol Burnett and her saying, ‘Well, congratulations for this.’ It was like, ‘Thank you.’ But that Carol Burnett would know me? Just incredible.

“I remember I was taking singing lessons at the time, and I went to my singing class,” Valentine started. “Also taking lessons was Gregory Peck… When he walked by, I was at the teacher’s piano and he saw me through the window and kind of mimed, ‘You did it!’ I was like, ‘Oh my God. It’s Gregory Peck!’ How was it that I had the fortune to meet these stars and talented people from the get-go?”

The series was a huge hit, with incredible rankings and positive critics, but then, during season four, people’s interest in it declined and it was canceled in the middle of season four.

“Why things changed, I have no idea,” Valentine recalled when the network told the cast the show was cut. “But they did have the wherewithal to give us the word that it was happening, and it was sad… Well, it’s always sad, but especially when you feel you have a good product and a good show, for it to be taken away. But in the end, the network made the decision to go in a different direction. That’s what they always say, ‘We’ve decided to go in a different direction.’”

Karen Valentine appeared in a number of series and films, with her latest one, Wedding Daze, released in 2004.

Speaking of the role in Room 222, the actress has only fond memories of it.

“Working with all of those people, and to have that kind of experience first time out–the show just brings back the fondest and best memories in the world to me.

“…It also kind of spoiled me, because it set the bar really high. So when other things come to you, you think, ‘What is this?’ It was different, you know. But I was fortunate that I did get material that was pretty fun and well done.”

Valentine has been married two times. She and her second and current husband, Gary Lewis Verna, tied the knot in 1977.

Donald Trump took office for the second time, becoming the 47th president of The United States of America, and while many are in awe with him running the country again, there are also those who are against his politics, and that involves a number of celebrities.

Namely, in light of the election results, many celebrities expressed their desire to flee the country governed by Trump.

One of the notable Hollywood stars who publicly spoke about her move from the States because of Trump’s win is actress Eva Longoria. Speaking to Marie Claire of the president’s plans, she said, “If he keeps his promises, it’s going to be a scary place. I’m privileged—I get to escape and go somewhere. Most Americans aren’t so lucky.” Since then, Longoria is splitting her time between Mexico and Spain.

The former host and her partner made a move to the UK. A source close to the couple shared with The Wrap that they are not planning on returning, at least not until Trump is out of office.

The couple are advocates for the LGBTQ+ rights and they are trying to run away from Trump’s hostility towards the members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Among the celebrities who are leaving America following Trump’s win is America Ferrera. While she would be still working in the States, reports say that she’s been looking for schools in London for her children.

“She wants them to have the best opportunities possible and to her, being overseas for that is what is important.”

“She’s not abandoning the US, she is prioritizing her life and focusing on the importance for her kids.”

Streisand was vocal about moving out of the US if Trump returned for a second term, and not that he’s in office again, only time will tell if she would proceed with her plan.

Laverne Cox

Actress and activist Laverne Cox is considering relocating because of concerns over anti-trans sentiments during Trump’s administration.

Speaking to Variety, she said, “As a public figure, with all my privilege, I’m scared. I feel like I could be targeted. I think they spent close to $100 million on anti-trans ads. It’s deeply concerning.”

At the Matrix Awards in 2016, Dunham said, “I know a lot of people have been threatening to do this, but I really will.”

Although she didn’t mention Trump, she did imply the reasons for her move. Dunham replaced the States for her husband’s homeland, the UK.

The Game of Thrones star has struggled with the US politics for years. Finally, she moved to her homeland, the UK, last year, following her divorce with Joe Jonas.

Speaking to the Harper’s Bazaar U.K. in 2024, Turner said, “The gun violence, Roe v. Wade being overturned … Everything just kind of piled on. After the Uvalde [school] shooting, I knew it was time to get the f*** out of there.”

So sad, Officer Carson

A police officer and a mother of six, Phylicia Carson, died on duty, leaving her husband and children behind.

Carson, a member of the Osage Beach Police Department in Missouri, was on patrol when she spotted a vehicle speeding down a rural road in Camden County near the Lake of the Ozarks on August 31, 2024.

“The officer activated its emergency equipment and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle,” police Chief Todd Davis said in a press conference. He added that the vehicle “failed to stop and accelerated,” forcing Carson to go after the car.

Unfortunately, as the pursuit progressed, officer Carson’s vehicle skidded off the roadway, struck into a tree, and caught on fire. The mom-of-six was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Officer Carson perished in the crash,” chief Davis said during the press conference. “Please keep the Carson family, our Department, and our community in your thoughts and prayers as we work through this tragic event,” he continued.

The speeding driver, later identified as 23-year-old Christopher Aaron Bishop Wehmeyer, also crashed minutes later on State Highway A. He was taken into custody and was charged with aggravated fleeing a stop or detention of a motor vehicle, causing a death. 

He remains held in Camden County Jail without bond, awaiting further legal proceedings.

Camden County Prosecuting Attorney Richelle Grosvenor spoke of the case and said, “Rest assured, your Camden County Prosecutor’s Office is going to review the facts.

“We are going to charge appropriately and we are going to pursue this with the resources that we have.”

The Missouri State Highway Patrol paid their tributes to Officer Carson on X.

“On behalf of Colonel Eric T. Olson and the entire Missouri State Highway Patrol, we extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Osage Beach Police Officer Phylicia Carson, who lost her life in the line of duty this morning.

“We also extend condolences to Chief Todd Davis and the men and women who she served alongside at the Osage Beach Police Department,” the post added.

Celtic Thunder stuns crowd with ‘The Sound of Silence’ cover

Simon and Garfunkel, one of the most successful folk-rock duos of the 1960s were known as counterculture icons of the decade’s social revolution alongside other great names such as The Beatles and Bob Dylan. They left behind them a great number of hits that reached number one on the music charts, not only in America, but worldwide.

One of their best and most famous pieces is the hit “The Sound of Silence.”

It has been performed by many musicians ever since.

However, one duo stood out with their amazing rendition of this song and made us want more.

Celtic Thunder is an Irish singing group known for their eclectic singing and the amazing shows they put on stage while performing. McGinty, the group vocalist once said how their group had really grown and turned into something that has its own life. Well, we couldn’t agree more.

They have been doing live shows that are outstanding and treat the audience with powerful emotions. Two of the members of the group, Colm Keegan and Keith Harkin, singing Simon and Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence” isn’t any different. Once they let their voices loose, everyone is left wondering how is it possible for them to sound so good. Many said it was like listening to the original duo.

These two are the perfect match to be performing this particular song, as their vocals blend in a perfect harmony.

To be honest, they sound equally astounding as the original duo. The melody and the lyrics suit them perfectly, as though they were written for them. One person writes: “I think it’s interesting to see the difference in their personalities while they’re singing. Colm is quieter and more thoughtful/intense, while Keith is more energetic and ‘in the groove’, so to speak. Both very good singers who complement each other nicely.”

After this song was initially released as part of the first studio album of Simon and Garfunkel, it was a failure and it was the reason for the duo to split. After some time, however, people noticed it and it found its place on the top lists. But that didn’t happen before the song’s producer made a remix and added some electric elements.

The mesmerizing video has been seen by more than 5 million people. Needless to say, they all agree that it’s the best cover of the song ever. Although Celtic Thunder added a pinch of their unique performing style, they still managed to keep the essence of the song.

This is something you don’t miss for anything. It touches the heart and fill us with some calmness that we get to love.

Dog dies after eating common household item – Owner is warning others

Samantha Carress lost her beloved Golden Retriever Luna and is now warning other dog owners of the hidden danger lurking in everyone’s home.

Every dog owner is aware that sweets and chocolate can affect their dog’s health a great deal. While sugar may affect their teeth, chocolate, which contains theobromine and caffeine, ingredients toxic to canines, may cause diarrhea, vomiting, seizures, and even death if taken in large amounts.

Although Samantha was aware of this, what she didn’t know was that another ingredient, that Luna ate by mistake, could cost her life.

Namely, the dog found a pack of lemon-flavored chewing gum and ate it.

Unfortunately, most sugar-free gums contain Xylitol, sugar substitute deadly for dogs.

Mere hours after eating the gum, Luna’s liver started failing. Sadly, when Samantha finally realized what was wrong with her pet, it was already too late for anything to be done.

The heartbreak she experienced was immense because she knew that Luna’s death could have been prevented had she known of the dangers of the gum.

Samantha is warning dog owners to read labels and make sure their pets stay away from any products containing Xylitol.

Even small amounts of this sugar substitute can cause liver failure at dogs.

Some of the most common household items containing it are sugar-free gums, peanut butter, and baked goods. Also, candies, drink powders, and ketchup and BBQ sauce.

As a matter of fact, Luna isn’t the first dog that dies after consuming Xylitol. Namely, over the past ten years, Xylitol poisoning cases have increased by 3,000%.

Some time after Luna ate the chewing-gum and started feeling unwell, Samantha and her husband took her to the vet’s. They were told that the only way to save her was an emergency transplant, which cost $20,000.

Heartbreakingly, Samantha was forced to say goodbye to her fur baby.

Samantha’s warning for dog owners is to be extra cautious.

I adopted the oldest dog at the shelter, knowing she only had a month left to live

The oldest frail dog that only had a month to live, but somehow stole my heart the moment I laid eyes on her, cost me my marriage which I wasn’t aware was over even before I stepped foot at the shelter.

Greg and I had been together for many years. But as we couldn’t have kids, our home turned too silent over time, so I suggested getting a dog.

Greg’s first comment was that he didn’t want “some yappy little thing.”

When we arrived at the shelter, Maggie caught my attention. Above her kennel it read: “Senior Dog – 12 Years Old – Health Issues – Hospice Adoption Only.”

These words broke my heart. The connection I felt for that dog was insane.

“Greg, we should take this one,” I said, overly excited. But Greg didn’t feel the same.

“That dog’s halfway to the grave,” he said, and then gave me an ultimatum. “If you take her in, I’m leaving.”

Honestly, I though he was joking, but the moment Maggie entered the house, Greg started packing his belongings. I was sure he would come to his senses, but just a few weeks later, I was served with divorce papers.

At that moment of shock, I started laughing, and then I started crying.

But that oldest dog was there to comfort me.

There were days when she wouldn’t touch her food, but I researched a lot and found ways to feed her soft food.

The dog that was given just a month to live was now thriving.

Some months later, her fur started growing back, and I heard her bark for the first time ever.

One day, as I felt Maggie was ready to take a walk outside, I stumbled upon Greg. But he wasn’t alone. He was with another woman. Strangely, I didn’t feel heart.

“Well, Claire,” he said, “as you can see I moved on. Our marriage was over anyways, and that dog of yours just made the exit smoother.”

He noticed I was alone, so he said, “I knew that creature would die right away.”

I couldn’t believe his words. How could I be with someone so cruel, I asked myself.

At that moment, my close friend Mark appeared from around the corner. He had Maggie on a leash.

“What!? Is that dog still alive?” Greg asked, shocked.

“Yes, Greg, she is, ans she’s thriving. You leaving me meant a second chance for her, and I’ll never regret that decision.”

Greg was quick to turn around and leave together with his new wife.

Some time later, Mark, Maggie, and I were at the park again. As we had fun at the sun, I noticed something on Maggie’s tag. It was a tiny box with the most beautiful ring.

Mark proposed me, and Maggie was part of our fairytale. That dog, whose life I though I was saving, actually saved mine.

Elon Musk ruined JLO’s career so quickly people didn’t have time to understand what happened

Talking on the podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, billionaire Elon Musk slammed singer/actress Jennifer Lopez.

Musk took aim at Lopez because of her appearance at Kamala Harris’ Las Vegas rally during the presidential campaign.

Musk, who’s close to Donald Trump, was quick to “fight back,” by mentioning JLO’s dating history with Sean “Diddy” Combs, who’s currently awaiting trial for s*x trafficking, and racketeering. Until then, he remains in federal custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York City. The ex-couple dated from 1999 to 2001.

The SpaceX owner questioned the singer’s credibility.

“J.Lo was like his ex-girlfriend and it’s like now deciding she’s like warning people against Trump,” Musk told Rogan. “How many people did she warn against Diddy, right? Oh zero, okay. Maybe we shouldn’t trust her opinion.”

He continued: “People in the music entertainment industry had to know that Diddy was like abusing, you know, kids basically and yet they still fed him kids. Like, where’s the accountability? They had to know.”

Lopez supported Harris publicly, warning the public against voting for Donald Trump. She reacted after comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, a Trump supporter, made anti-Latino comments during a rally.

Among the rest, Hinchcliffe referred to Puerto Rico as to a “floating island of garbage.”

Susan Lucci shares health update after two grueling surgeries

Dubbed ‘Daytime’s Leading Lady,’ actress Susan Lucci has had an astounding career as an actress and a TV host. Her role of Erica Kane in the ABC daytime drama All My Children is one of the most famous there are and the character is considered iconic.

In 1996, TV Guide ranked Lucci number 37 on its 50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time list.

The Devious Made star was also named one of VH1’s 200 Top Icons of All Time and one of Barbara Walters’s Ten Most Fascinating People.

Unfortunately, Lucci has been experiencing health problems in recent years. Back in 2018, she underwent emergency heart surgery for a major blockage in her arteries that could have ended in a fatal heart attack.

The symptoms she had been experiencing, such as short breath, pain and pressure on her chest, raised a red flag. Lucci visited the hospital and underwent a CT scan. Sadly, the tests that doctors ran indicated she had 90% blockage in the heart’s main artery and 70% blockage in another branch.

Susan Lucci revealed during an interview that she had underwent a second emergency cardiac surgery.

This time her symptoms were less severe, but just as the first time, she noticed them on time.

Speaking of her health state, Dr. Richard Shlofmitz, chairman of cardiology at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, New York, told Good Morning America, “This time, she wasn’t experiencing a heart attack and she wasn’t mentally disturbed. However, she displayed symptoms that made me worry that something could be amiss.”

If she hadn’t experienced the symptoms on time, she could have easily suffered severe heart attack.

Two months after her January 2022 procedure, Lucci’s husband Helmut Huber died at age 84.

“After that, nothing seemed important, my health or anything else,” she admitted. “I didn’t care about anything else.”

“I lost the love of my life and that’s been awful, but I have friends who make me laugh and keep me out and about, and I’m determined to keep putting one foot in front of the other.”

The truth is that not every cardiac condition has observable symptoms because not everyone feels it in the chest.

Lucci decided to open up about her health and the issues she had experienced because she wanted to encourage other women to be proactive about their health.

“Listen to your heart and act on it. Be your own best friend, be your own advocate. You’ll save your life,” Lucci said. “I feel so lucky to have the platform that I have. I just wanted to be able to do something other than entertain.”

In 2019, Susan Lucci walked down the runway at the 2019 American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Red Dress Collection.

Lucci is thankful to her doctors for saving her life.

My husband sent my rent money straight to himself and his mother – I taught them a lesson

My relationship with Logan was based on love, respect, and trust – or at least I thought so until I learned he deceived me about the rent money that I paid for two years.

I remember the day Logan called me while I was at work. “Caroline, I found the perfect place. It’s an incredibly cozy apartment. I know you’ll love it,” he said in excitement. “The rent is only $2,000 a month, we’ll split it 50-50.”

Honestly, I liked that arrangement and I was happy, not only because we were starting our life together, but because I knew just how much finding the perfect place meant to him.

Things seemed perfect, just like the apartment we settled in.

However, one unassuming day, the perfect life I had envisioned crumbled into pieces.

As I was taking the elevator, the elderly neighbor from downstairs started a conversation with me. “How are you today, young lady?” she asked. “I see you live in Mrs. Pierce and Logan’s apartment, right?”

I froze. Did I hear her right? Mr. Pierce was Logan’s mom. When I asked her what she meant, the neighbor continued speaking, unaware of the bomb she had just dropped.

“Yeah, Logan’s mom bought that apartment years ago! Rented it out for a while, then he moved in with his ex. And now, you guys!”

I felt betrayed as never before. For two years, I’ve been paying rent to my husband and his mother. It was $24,000 that he took from me over the course of those two years we’ve lived together.

This wasn’t something I was couldn’t get over.

I was ripped off by my own husband.

When he got home that night, I asked him when the due date for the rent was so that I could give him the rent money.

“December 28,” he said casually, not assuming I knew the truth.

Before I confronted him, I did a little research and went over public records, scrutinizing every document Logan had once proudly shown me.

That was it, the apartment really belonged to him and his mother.

On the day when I was to transfer rent money to my husband, I went to the bank and took $24,000 from our joint account. I felt like I was done injustice and that money belonged to me.

In the evening, I finally gathered the courage to confront him. I asked for an explanation, but Logan couldn’t give me one. He just stared at me blankly and bagged me to stay. But I couldn’t.

Instead, I left the apartment and started my life over.

Meghan Markle appears without makeup in new video

Rumor has it that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are going on separate business ventures, with both Harry and Meghan Markle seen attending events solo.

The couple addressed the rumors admitting that they’re at a ‘crossroads’ when it comes to their professional endeavors.

Harry also explained why he and Meghan are attending separate events.

“I Google News-ed you, and there were people fascinated by everything you’re doing, all the time,” NYT journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin asked Harry during the New York Times’ 2024 DealBook Summit in New York City on Wednesday, December 4.

“They’re fascinated by Meghan, who is in California right now, and you’re here.

“And there’s articles left and right about, you know, ‘Why are you making independent events? Why aren’t you doing them together?’”

“True,” Sorkin replied, “Is that normal for you?

“The second there’s an article — she’s in California, you’re in New York — they say, ‘Well, what is happening with these two, right?’ Is that a beneficial thing for you, in a way, that there’s so much interest in you?”

The Duke then admitted, “No, that’s definitely not a good thing.

“Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times.

“We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?”

Harry and Meghan were also said to have ended their cooperation with Netflix, but that turned out no to be true.

In fact, the Duchess is about to launch a new show, With Love, Meghan.

Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria said she is “excited” for what’s next with the Duke and Duchess, stating that the streaming giant is standing by them.

“We have Meghan’s new show coming out, which is great. It is such a great take on a lifestyle show and showcase for California, Montecito and nature. It really has great takeaways. I was like ‘oh my God, I want to really do that pasta.’ There’s really easy great takeaways on life. I am really excited about that coming out,” Bajaria said.

The first episode of Meghan’s cooking show was expected to launch in February but was postponed due to the LA fires. According to Netflix, the release date was pushed back to sometime in March.

It will play out at Harry and Megan’s multimillion-dollar mansion in Montecito, California and will feature the likes of chef Roy Choi, actress-producer Mindy Kalin, restauranteur Alice Waters, and Meghan’s former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.

Ever since stepping down from their royal duties, Harry and Meghan haven’t been much active on the social media. However, Meghan took to Instagram in February to promote her show.

“I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team [at Netflix]. Beyond grateful for the support — and fun!” Meghan wrote alongside a video of the trailer of her show.

At the Golden Globes, Mindi Kaling, the former actress’s friend, spoke on the production.

“I was just in my maternity leave, and Meghan texted me and said, ‘Hey, do you want to come be in my show and come to Montecito and have me cook for you?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, that sounds perfect, I would love to do that,’” Kaling said.

“Wel,l I think of myself as kind of an okay cook, but she unsurprisingly blew me out of the water. The thing about her recipes and being there was that it was just really accessible. She has a garden from scratch, which I could never do, and chickens. They would probably all die if I tried to take care of chickens,” she continued, adding that Harry, too, “knows his way around a kitchen.”

A few days ago, Meghan posted yet another video in which she showed the signed items singer Billie Eilish sent to her for a teenage girl who lost Eilish’s signed T-shirt during the LA fires.

The Duchess was seen jumping out of joy and thanking Eilish for the package, which included signed T-shirt and a lunchbox among the rest.

“Huge thank you, Billie Eilish, this is going to mean so much to her, and honestly, to Adam Levine and Bahati, you guys helped me get this over the line, and to everyone who is showing up for people in big and small ways to get through what’s happened in California, just thank you so much. I’m going to go and email her mom now, just wanted to share with you guys.”

Donald Trump made history by becoming the first ever sitting president to attend the Super Bowl, and fans seemed to love his presence. The moment he was shown on the big screen, Trump received loud cheers by the crowd. However, the same couldn’t be said of singer Taylor Swift.

Swift who used to cheer for the Philadelphia Eagles was now booed by their fans. The reason why is that she’s now cheering for the Chiefs.

The singer attended the Super Bowl supporting her boyfriend, Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce.

Confused by the loud booing, she gave a slow side eye to the camera before asking her friend and rapper, Ice Spice, “What is going on?”

Taylor Swift was then seen smiling and telling something to the people seated next to her.

President Trump was quick to target Swift for the way the crowd reacted to her presence at the game.

In a late-night social media post on Truth Social, he wrote, “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift.”

Also, Trump re-shared a post from Libs of TikTok, which read: “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed.—The world is healing!”

Last year, Trump publicly expressed his thoughts on Swift writing on the social media that he hates her. The reason why is that Swift publicly endorsed Kamala Harris during the presidential elections.

Of course, her fans were quick to stand for her.

Donald Trump signaled the start of his second term as the president of the country by signing a plethora of executive orders and making changes to the White House, his residency in the following four years.

As expected, he and Melania redecorated the 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue property, and one shiny artifact at the Oval Office caught the attention of the eagle-eyed viewers.

Proudly displayed behind Trump’s desk sits a replica of the FIFA World Cup trophy.

Somewhat expected, people wonder why would he have it.

As we all know, America has never won the FIFA World Cup, and the chances of winning it, at least the the time being, are obviously minor.

“Why has Donald Trump got the World Cup?” one user asked.

“Even Donald Trump won the World Cup before Cristiano Ronaldo,” another joked.

“Trump parading the World Cup trophy when the U.S. has never won and likely never will is hilarious to me,” quipped a third.

However, there might be an apparent reason for it; America, along with Canada and Mexico, will be hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2026. Or, the replica of the trophy – yes, it is a replica as confirmed by FIFA – could signify Trump’s close friendship with FIFA president Gianni Infantino.

Infantino congratulated Trump on winning the elections in November and them posted a message on the social media thanking the president after attending his victory speech in Washington D.C., a day prior to the inauguration.

“What an incredible honour and privilege it is for FIFA and me, as FIFA President, to be acknowledged by President Donald J. Trump during his victory rally speech in Washington DC,” he wrote.

The last time the USA hosted the World Cup was back in 1992, when Brazil won the championship.

President Trump having a replica of the trophy isn’t the first time. In fact, back in 2018, people spotted a miniature version of it at the Oval Office on the same place, the table behind his desk. At the time, people speculated he was trying to send a message to Russian President Vladimir Putin as Russia hosted the World Cup that year.

Elon Musk gives brutal four-word response to Taylor Swift

In a late-night social media post on Truth Social, President Donald Trump targeted singer Taylor Swift, with his close friend Elon Musk not resisting joining in on the mocking.

Following the Super Bowl game, which saw the Philadelphia Eagles dominating the Kansas City Chiefs, Trump wrote: “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift.”

This came after the crowd booed her the moment she appeared on the jumbotron. According to many, the crowd’s reaction is a result of Swift cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs after she was spotted wearing Eagles merchandise in the past. Of course, the shift comes after she started dating Chief’s tight end Travis Kelce.

President Trump was also in attendance of the Sunday game, becoming the first ever sitting president of the United States to attend the event.

In addition to the post, Trump shared videos showcasing the contrasting reactions he and Swift received during the game.

Trump also re-shared a post from Libs of TikTok, which read: “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed.—The world is healing!”

The TikTok profile run by Chaya Raichik has millions of followers including the likes of Elon Musk, Caitlyn Jenner, Kid Rock, Jack Osbourne and more.

Elon Musk couldn’t resist chiming in on a post slamming Taylor Swift, writing, “Vibe shift is real.”

Just like Trump, Elon took aim at Swift when she supported Kamala Harris publicly during the presidential elections.

“Fine Taylor…you win… I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life,” he wrote on X of Swift who had signed off her endorsement with “childless cat lady.”

Many found his post inappropriate.

Last week, Trump praised Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, for welcoming their third child.

“Congratulations to the Chiefs GREAT Quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, and his very beautiful and BRILLIANT wife, Brittany, on the birth of their new baby daughter, Golden Raye,” Trump said on Thursday ahead of the Super Bowl. “This is what I call a baby with great genes, both mother and father. It’s happy times in the wonderful Mahomes family. See you all on Sunday!”

I was completely blown away when I discovered baby teeth stem cell banking—the idea that those tiny teeth might someday heal injuries or fight serious diseases. 82-year-old woman with dementia regains memory after making changes to her diet

Nowadays, people are way too busy following strict working schedules and are torn between a bunch of commitments so forgetting things may come as a result of that kind of life. Age can also be the reason for the memory laps some get to experience from time to time. But when it occurs very frequently, maybe it’s about time to pay the doctor a visit. When Mark Hatzer could notice how his mother struggled remembering things, and as the condition became severe, she was hospitalized and diagnosed with dementia.

Unfortunately, it got even worse over time so at one moment Sylvia couldn’t even recognize her own son. 

“When my mum was in hospital she thought it was a hotel — but the worst one she had ever been in,” Mark explained. “She didn’t recognize me and phoned the police as she thought she’d been kidnapped.”

Mark felt devastated. He had lost his father back in 1987, and now this illness was taking his mom away from him. 

“We were a double act that went everywhere together,” he said. “I despaired and never felt so alone as I had no other family to turn to. Overnight we went from a happy family to one in crisis.”

However, this devoted son wasn’t about to give up that easily. He did lots of research and decided to fight the dementia with the right foods. 

They learned how the inhabitants of the Mediterranean countries are less likely to suffer from dementia because of their eating habits, so Mark created for Sylvia a special diet. 

The foods in the diet are made up of plenty of “brain-boosting” foods, two among them being walnuts and blueberries.

“Everyone knows about fish but there is also blueberries, strawberries, Brazil nuts and walnuts — these are apparently shaped like a brain to give us a sign that they are good for the brain,” Mark explained.

Other important foods she included in her diet were plenty of broccoli, oats, dark chocolate, green tea, and sweet potatoes.

Over time, she started regaining parts of her memory back. 

“It wasn’t an overnight miracle but after a couple of months she began remembering things like birthdays and was becoming her old self again, more alert, more engaged,” he explained.

With the combination of body and brain exercise the condition started improving. However, nothing happened overnight. It took a lot of courage and determination, as well as lots of help from family and friends. 

“People think that once you get a diagnosis your life is at an end,” Mark said. “You will have good and bad days but it doesn’t have to be the end.”

This diet seemed to work, so the Alzheimer’s society shares Sylvia’s recipes and exercises on their blog hoping they will help other patients ease the symptoms. 

“It’s fantastic that Sylvia along with her son Mark have taken action to create a personal plan that works well for her dementia diagnosis,” said Sue Clarke from the Alzheimer’s Society.

“There is currently no cure or way of preventing the progression of the condition, but taking regular gentle exercise, eating a healthy diet and doing cognitive exercises can help someone with dementia manage their condition more effectively.”

Sylvia and Mark’s efforts may help a lot of other people feel better. Their commitment and devotion led to Sylvia being invited to one of Queen Elizabeth’s garden parties. 

We are really glad for Sylvia. She is one lucky lady for having raised such an exceptional son like Mark.

Why Did Trump Leave So Soon?

I was honestly shocked when I first heard Trump left Super Bowl early, despite dropping an estimated $15-$20 million on logistics, security, and all those presidential bells and whistles. Just think of the cost for Air Force One, the Secret Service, local law enforcement, plus any stadium upgrades. Yet even with that hefty price tag, the president didn’t hang around to watch the entire game, which left everyone speculating. Was he mad that the Kansas City Chiefs were losing? Upset over Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance? Or was it just the best way to avoid traffic?

The Chiefs Connection

Some fans believe Trump bailed because he’s a Chiefs supporter (though he’s never outright said so) and they were taking a beating from the Philadelphia Eagles. Tight end Travis Kelce seemed excited at the idea of playing in front of the president, calling it an “honor,” which only fueled this theory. One Twitter user even teased that Kelce’s comment was wasted, since Trump left Super Bowl early once the score went south. In the end, the Chiefs couldn’t secure a third consecutive title, losing 40-22.

Offended by Kendrick’s Set?

Another big idea floating around: Maybe Trump didn’t appreciate Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show, which apparently included a few references that seemed pointed at him. Some people on social media said that after Kendrick’s subtle digs, Trump packed up and left. Others, though, pointed out that’s a bit of a stretch. Still, it’s worth noting Lamar’s performance had its share of political statements—enough for fans to assume it clashed with Trump’s presence.

Or Just Logistics?

Plenty of folks believe the simplest explanation is probably true: Presidents rarely stay at big events until the bitter end. Can you imagine the chaotic security situation if the motorcade tried leaving at the same time as every other fan? Maybe Trump left Super Bowl early just to avoid creating a traffic nightmare or endangering the crowd. Whether that’s the real answer or not, people sure love speculating. And, hey, if you’re going to spend $20 million for a seat at the big game, you at least want to enjoy some of it—right?

Travis Kelce’s heartbreaking reaction to Taylor Swift being booed at Super Bowl

The Super Bowl showed Philadelphia Eagles destroying the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22, denying them the chance to win an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl title. For Travis Kelce, the day was far from a good one. Not only his team lost the grand finale but also his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was booed by fans during the game.

The moment Swift appeared on the jumbotron, the crowd erupted in jeers.

That forced the singer to turn to her friend, Ice Spice, and ask her, “What is going on?”

Being a professional, Swift handled the situation like one, giving the camera a slow side eye. Of course, that didn’t mean the booing hadn’t made her feel uncomfortable.

Chief’s tight end, Kelce, felt the same, according to people close to him.

“Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him,” a source said.

“He always protects her and it broke his heart. He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn’t help. Travis knows that this hurt her and anyone can see this.”

They added: “It’s clear to many that the Eagles fans feel she is a traitor of sorts. Being from Pennsylvania and even wearing Eagles gear prior to dating him.”

Allegedly, Kelce also commented on President Trump’s response to Swift being booed at the Super Bowl game.

Trump, who is the first ever sitting president of the country to attend the major sporting event, took to Truth Social to write, “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed.

“The world is healing!”

Prior to the game, Kelce commented Trump’s presence at the game. He said he would be honored to play in front of the president, no matter who the president is.

“Travis believes that it was unnecessary for Trump to take a dig at her especially after he voiced that he was honoured for a president to be there,” the source added.

“After Taylor being shut out for a Grammy and Travis losing the biggest game of the year it just hasn’t been a good week for them.

“But he knows that even though this is not a happy ending to the season having her love gives him so much joy.”

Super Bowl fans divided after brief camera shot captures Donald Trump during anthem

Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Kansas City Chiefs in the LIX Super Bowl, with one standout moment being the presence of President Donald Trump at the Caesars Superdome, home of the New Orleans Saints, where the game was held.

Trump made history being the first ever sitting president of the United States to watch the Super Bowl game live.

Before the “Big Game,” Trump said in a statement, “I look forward to joining the fans in New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX to cheer on two great teams – the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles – as they battle for the National Football League’s Vince Lombardi Trophy.”

During the national anthem, performed by Jon Batiste, before the game on Sunday, February 9, the camera showed the president who was spotted in a salute.

He was standing next to his daughter, Ivanka Trump, and  Gayle Benson, owner of the New Orleans Saints.

The moment he appeared on the big screen, the crowd went crazy.

Many agreed that the POTUS received cheers by the many fans gathered at the stadium.

However, there were also those who said that the live broadcast made it difficult to determine for sure if the loud cheering was in fact booing.

Some commented on the salute he gave the crowd, with a person writing, “Why is he standing like that? He didn’t even serve in the military. That’s hilarious.” Another added: “The hand over the heart gesture is really difficult for him.”

A person commented, “Donald Trump better be sitting during this military salute moment tbh.” Someone else added: “Why does Donald Trump salute, is he an army vet?”

Of course, President Trump’s supporters were quick to write that being the Commander in Chief gives him all the right to salute during the national anthem.

“They didn’t boo him. They cheered very loudly. He is expected to salute as he is commander in chief. It is his duty,” one person commented. “He’s literally the Commander-In-Chief of the entire United States Military,” another added.

In the game anticipated by the entire nation, the Eagles beat the Chiefs 40-22, denying them the chance to win an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl title.
