The Nigerian man named Mohammed Abubakar is the person we should all look up to whenever we feel like we are failing in accomplishing our life goals. He’s a perfect example that sticking to a dream and working really had to turn it into reality always pays off.
Some twenty-four years ago, Mohammed started working as a cleaner at Air Azman. What is interesting to note is that he only accepted this job position after he failed to get admission at the university of Kaduna Polytechnic because he missed the deadline.
At that time, this sounded like a big deal and he felt that his dreams were crushed, but he never stopped working on becoming the successful man he is today.
At first, he didn’t earn a lot of money and he was determined to change that, so he soon became a part of the ground staff and learned a lot about the aviation industry.
Over time, Mohammed was offered to become a member of the cabin crew. At this point, his salary was way higher than before, but he knew he couldn’t stop there as he was aware only the sky was the limit.
His determination brought new results as he moved to Aero Contractors where he worked as a flight attendant. Now, he earned a lot of money.
Mohammed went even further and saved the money in order to become a pilot.
Starting as a cleaner and ending up working as a pilot took a lot of years of hard work, but Mohammed never though of giving up.
As it turns out, the saying “work hard in silence and let your success make the noise” is true for some people.
Being a parent to an autistic child can be an overwhelming experience. These parents, however, always do everything in their power to provide their kids with the best life they can have considering their condition.
A mom named Lori Gabriel boarded a flight on United Airlines with her five-year old autistic boy recently.
She was looking forward to the trip, but she was also aware that little Braysen could behave in a manner that other passengers may find inconvenient.
Once on the plane, they headed to their assigned seats, but Braysen refused to sit down. Gabriel tried to explain to him that he had to take his seat, but he simply wouldn’t listen.
Moments later, he started screaming uncontrollably.
Gabriel worried the two might be asked to leave the plane before it takes off as Brayson started running up to first-class.
He wanted to sit on the floor there and his mom couldn’t convince him that it simply wasn’t allowed as he had to have a seat-belt on during take off.
Gabriel felt bad as she knew the rest of the passenger found her son’s tantrum annoying although they said they didn’t mind him running around.
Then, as Braysen started playing with one of the passenger’s armrest, the flight attendant approached. Gabriel was worried sick at this point because she expected from her to tell her to calm the child down or leave the plane.
But what the flight attendant had to say changed everything and put this mom at ease.
Gabriel was told that Braysen could sit anywhere he wanted whenever the seat-belt sign was off.
Hearing this, Braysen agreed to take his seat during the take-off.
But the moment he noticed the sign was off, he quickly ran to the first class area and sat on the floor.
The plane staff was so understanding that they even gave Braysen a blanket so that he didn’t feel uncomfortable on the floor.
Once he got what he wanted, Braysen behaved throughout the whole time. He just sat there quietly and didn’t bother anyone.
And then, just before they reached their final destination, one of the passengers got closer to Gabriel and gave her a piece of paper with something written on it.
When she took it in her hand, Gabriel didn’t know what to expect, but once she read it, her heart melted. It said, “I commend you for your strength. Do not EVER let anyone make you feel as though you are an inconvenience or a burden.”
It ended saying that Braysen was a blessing!
Gabriel knew that perfectly but maybe she needed someone to remind her of that.
This dedicated and loving mom felt the need to thank everyone who treated her son with so much compassion so she posted the note on Facebook and expressed the gratitude to the company, the flight attendant, the woman who handed her that note, and all the passengers.
People who got to see the post and read the note were deeply touched. Many said that it was because of people like those on that flight that the world is a better place.
The story of Braysen and his brave mother is just a proof that we should always be kind to everyone because we never really know what people are going through.
A little love and support won’t cost us anything, but it can mean the world to someone.
When we look back, we realize that our childhood was the best time of our life. We were careless and free of the problems that the adult world brings. And yes, we had our toys that we played with all day and night.
Now when I think about it, I would definitely want to go back to those happy times.
Two brothers named Geoff and John Bitmead had this same wish, but as we all know things don’t work that way, so they used their craft skills and creativity to bring a valuable part of their younger days into the present.
As you are all guessing already, they created a real life version of the famous red and yellow Little Tike toy car.
I know that reading this made you a bit jealous, am I right?
Building this unique car took them around 1,000 hours and more than £4,000 (nearly $5,000), but it was definitely worth it.
The “Big Tike,” as they call their piece of work, is road legal as it has an engine, headlights and indicators. More or less, what every normal car has.
Not only they had fun building it and driving it, but it also landed them a Guinness World Record for the largest Cozy Coupe in the entire world.
Although they love it a lot, and it made them famous, they still decided to sell it. So, around four years ago, “Big Tike” was offered on e-Bay and was sold for £21,500 (around $33,000 at the time).
I would really want to have such fun looking car that would make me feel like I’m a kid again.

Life is a never-ending circle of ups and downs and we never really know when a desperate situation will come across our way.
Joseph Cantu from Southeast Michigan had a nice life with his wife and his five children, but things turned for the worst when the mother of his kids left them.
Sadly, that meant he could no longer pay for the house and he and his kids became homeless.
Ever since, he struggles to provide a safe shelter for his family, but it’s way harder that it looks.
“There’s been several nights where we stayed inside this van. We pull inside a rest area sometimes to sleep,” he told FOX 2. “And then there’s several nights that some people will donate money here and there so we can sleep in a motel room.”
And as if the situation this struggling father found himself in wasn’t stressful and difficult enough, Joseph also lost his job because he couldn’t provide childcare for three of his children who still don’t attend school.
At the time being, he’s waiting to be given place in a shelter, but as it turns out, the shelters in the area don’t take in single fathers with children.
“I never thought this would happen to myself anyway but what bothers me the most is that they [his kids] have to endure it as well, and luckily they’re small enough they probably won’t remember it,” he said.
Although Joseph qualified for child care through the Michigan Department of Human Services, he is till in urgent need of a stable job that would help him provide for his little ones.
People who know him and are aware of the tough times he’s forced to go through have started a GoFundMe page.
We are furious and overwhelmed by the fact that no shelter is willing to open their doors for a single father with that many children who is struggling to make ends meet.
We hope Joseph would be able to find a job very soon and he and his kids would have a decent life.
The world we live in is a cruel one. How often does it happen that you stumble upon a story of animals being abused and neglected, or elderly people being assaulted at the assisted living facilities where they spend the last years of their life? Unfortunately, the answer most of you would give, is way too often.
One may say that children are those who should take care of their parents when they reach certain age, but that’s not always possible.
They, however, believe that their older family members would be given the care and the support they deserve, but sadly, that’s not always the case.
This is just another heartbreaking story of an elderly woman being treated with disrespect at the nursing home where she lives.
The following video shows a caretaker cruelly hitting and kicking and 84-year-old woman who has difficulties moving around because of her deteriorated health condition and her age.
The case of abuse was discovered after the family of the lady noticed she had bruises all over her body. When they asked for an explanation, the staff told them how she had fallen off a chair and hurt herself. The family didn’t buy the story and decided to install a hidden camera in the room.
The discovery chilled their blood and broke their hearts. They simply couldn’t believe how someone could be so cruel.
The video was later posted online so that more people become aware of the hidden dangers they put their elderly in when they place them in nursing homes.
You can take a look at the shocking scenes in the video below.
Today, 18 years after the terrorist attacks that made all the American citizens breath as one soul, we remember the sacrifice of those who lost their lives in the attempt to save others’; the nation’s pride and joy, the first responders.
On that disastrous 9/11 the whole nation stood together as feelings of sadness and grief filled the morning air. And as confused people were running for their life, the firefighters were bravely entering the burning buildings trying to save what could be saved.
The eyes of the whole planet were on America. People were praying for the victims and their families and everyone was aware that day would be marked as one of the saddest in the history of the United Nations.
To honor the brave first responders and to pay tribute to all the innocent lives lost during the tragedy, a person made a touching video that triggers tears to roll down your face. Despite the horror and the panic seen in the eyes of the onlookers, it also shows cops and firemen entering the burning buildings moments before they collapsed.
The shooting that took place in West Texas on August 31, 2019 left the whole country in distress. An armed man named Seth Ator was driving around shopping centers in Midland and Odessa shooting from his car. Among the 25 people injured was the 17-month-old girl named Anderson Davis.
She sustained injuries to her chest and bottom lip when a shrapnel hit her in the face.
Sadly, seven people, among which three police officers, were killed before the police shot the gunman dead in front of a movie theater.
It was later reported that he was mentally distressed and was fired from his job just hours before he went on the killing spree.
Luckily, little Anderson survived the attack. Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis said in a statement that she was now home and recovering.
Good News: 17 month old Anderson Davis is now at home. She’s the baby who was shot in the Odessa mass shooting, hit with shrapnel & left with a hole in her lip & tongue. She underwent surgery before going home. Her mother shared these pictures with CBS News. pic.twitter.com/4uYLWOWaV9
Anderson’s parents, Kelby and Garret Davis, told CBS News they are happy and relieved their girl is doing fine, but they are at the same time sad for the families of those who lost their loved ones in the attack. “We hurt so badly for the families whose loved ones didn’t survive this tragedy.
“We are thankful for our beautiful baby girl and look forward to reuniting her at home with her twin brother soon.”
#RT@WSMV: 17-month-old Anderson Davis was one of the 22 people injured in a shooting spree in West Texas. Despite her injuries, she’s expected to make a full recovery, her parents said. ❤😢 https://t.co/toIPUj5A8X
We are so happy for Anderson and we wish she recovers completely. We hope she would be able to forget the ordeal with time and it won’t affect her childhood and her life.
Way to go Anderson, you are one of the bravest little children we’ve ever heard of.
Mom Alice Phillips and dad Ricky Wetherley describe their 5-year-old son as the most vibrant young child out there. Freddie loves what most his peers do and that’s running around, hanging out with his friends, and going on fairground rides.
So, when this perfectly healthy boy started complaining of pain in his legs, his parents believed it was because he was very active. One day, however, after he refused going on the fairground rides because as he said he’s legs were sore, that raised the red flag. Something was really wrong and Alice and Rick knew Freddie had to visit a doctor.
Sadly, the family got the most devastating news. Little Freddie had an aggressive form of cancer known as neuroblastoma. This rare form of the life-threatening disease affects around 100 children in the UK annually.
The family’s hearts broke into million pieces when the initial scans showed that the illness had affected all his body. They recall the doctors’ words who said that the cancer spread “from his nose to his knees.”
The odds of survival weren’t in Freddy’s favor. But neither this little fighter, nor his loving parents ever thought of giving up. The boy had gone through various treatments and he’s now cancer free.
“He has done wonderfully well and made an amazing recovery and we are very proud of him,” his parents told Daily Mail.
The treatments Freddy had to go through were long and painful, but at the end, it was all worth it.
After he was transferred to Great Ormond Street hospital, he immediately started a 70-day cycle of chemotherapy. Later, at Christmas, he had undergone a stem-cell transplant, and in February of this year, he had his stomach tumor removed.
“He was sick and exhausted through the treatment, but he has handled everything really well,” Alice explained.
She added that talking to his two year old sister named Freya on Facetime helped Freddy a lot. She was his support and he was looking forward to their talks every single day.
Now, sweet Freddy can get back to what he loved doing the most. He’s back to school and doesn’t miss a football match with his friends.
“When we first saw that body scan, we didn’t think there was much hope,” Alice continued.
“He really is our little miracle.”
We are extremely happy for this brave boy and his family who never gave up and never lost hope. Please share this story in support of Freddy.
