Young children chase down their brother’s kidnapper

Having a sibling means having a best friend for life. The bond between brothers and sisters is one of the strongest ones and growing up by their side means you will always have someone to turn to and trust no matter how hard things get.

One brother and sister proved this to be right after they prevented an evil man from kidnapping their baby brother.

22-month-old Owen Wright, eight-year-old Delicia Wright and 10-year-old Brenden Wright were having fun time running around the park near their babysitter’s home in Sprague, Washington State.

At one point, their game was interrupted by an unknown man who approached the kids and tried to engage in a conversation with them.

The oldest siblings were pretty aware that they weren’t suppose to speak to strangers, so they avoided any contact with the creepy man.

However, he wasn’t about to step back and tried to convince them how he used to be a babysitter himself and that speaking to him was fine.

Delicia and Brended could feel they might be in trouble, so they asked Owen to get into the stroller. But it was then that the man pulled the boy from his stroller and started running away carrying him in his arms.

Brave Delicia and Brended started chasing the kidnapper. They just couldn’t allow him to disappear with their little brother.

The kids struggled to keep up with the man, but the thought of losing Owen kept them going.

Sadly, they got way too tired to continue running, but quick-thinking Delicia stood in the middle of the road and started screaming as hard as she could.

Luckily, her plan of getting the attention of the passersby worked as two teenagers realized what was going on and started chasing the kidnapper.

As soon as he realized he would be caught, he dropped Owen and fled as quickly as he could. What was most important was that the toddler was saved from the hands of the crazy man.

Andrew and Isaac, the teenagers who helped in the chase, said how they knew the kidnapper. He was in fact a 15-year-old boy who attended their school.

This information was more than enough for the police to track him down and bring him to justice. Currently, he’s in juvenile detention.

After the incident, Delicia admitted that she was terrified the whole time while she was running to save her sweet brother, but that didn’t stop her from doing all she could to get him back.

If these children didn’t show bravery, who knows what would have happened to Owen.

He is one lucky boy to have siblings who love him to the moon and back and who would do anything for his well-being.

You can take a look at the chase in the video below.

Toddler looks like Pennywise from It after applying hair removal cream on her head

When people tell you that parenting isn’t easy, trust them. At the period of their life when they are very young and unaware of the consequences of their actions, kids should be closely watched by their parents. When they reach their teen years, things can turn even harder as children this age tend to be stubborn and act as they know everything.

All in all, moms and dads out there should always keep a close eye on their children no matter how old they are.

Maisie Saward and Eva, 18-month-old sisters, got themselves into trouble, and what Maisie did went viral in the blink of an eye. Namely, their older brother, Ollie, left the baby gate open and the sisters found themselves in the bathroom the next minute.

While on their little “adventure,” curious Maisie managed to reach her dad’s “hair gel.” Or at least she thought it was that. In fact, she covered her head with Superdrug Hair Removal Cream.

When their dad, Luke, noticed them, he rushed to give Maisie a shower. Well, he should have removed the cream from her hair instantly, but he believed at the time that giving her a bath was a better idea. Until she got in the bathtub, around 10 minuted had passed, and it was enough time for that cream to do its job, which is to remove hair.

Luke was shocked when he noticed that his little girl went bald after her long bangs fell off.

When Luke called his wife Kristy to tell her of their daughter’s “problem,” she had no idea how bad things were until she got home. “When I got home, I was just in pure shock. She came and gave me a cuddle and I just cried for an hour because I absolutely loved her fringe [bangs],” she told Metro News.

Kristy was mad at her husband, but she eventually saw the fun in the situation.

Once their story, along with Maisie’s photos, went viral, people said she achieved a hairstyle similar to that of Pennywise the Clown from the Stephen King horror story, It.

“Me and Luke felt a bit of a failure for not keeping these things out of her way, but once I’d realized these things happen when you’ve got kids, we felt a bit better about it. Parenting, especially with twins, isn’t easy, and if this makes even one other mum feel better then that’s great.”

Dhani Harrison, the son of legendary Beatle George Harrison, shares his dad’s last wish before passing

There are just a small number of people who can say they changed the world, and the members of the iconic band The Beatles, are definitely one of them. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr influenced an era. They didn’t only change the world of music, but that of fashion and lifestyle as well.

Millions of fans went crazy over the Liverpool band’s music, and soon, the Beatlemania shook the entire world.

These musicians’ legendary songs are still played on radio stations and performed by influential and famous singers.

The story behind the group starts with McCartney and Lenon. At the time they were around 17, George Harrison was just a 15 year old boy who was completely enchanted by guitars. So when John Lenon was looking for a guitarist for his band, which was known as The Quarrymen at the time, McCartney said, “I know this guy. He’s a bit young, but he’s good.”

“When I joined, he didn’t really know how to play the guitar; he had a little guitar with three strings on it that looked like a banjo,” Harrison said of Lennon, during testimony in a court case against the owner of a bootleg Beatles’ recording in 1998, according to The Guardian.

It was reported how The Beatles were practicing mainly in Harrison’s place at the time as his mother was very supportive of his music career.

During the 1960’s, Harrison had a spiritual journey and that also influenced the band’s music.

The “shy and quiet” musician was married to Patti Boyd for eight years before he tied the knot with Olivia Harrison in 1978 and the pair welcomed son Dhani.

Dhani, who is an only child, spent his childhood around his parents with whom he has been very close his whole life. He loved what his dad did and grew up at the recording studio.

“My mum said when I was a kid and someone asked me what my dad did, I said, ‘He pushes buttons,’” Dhani told the Daily Mail. “I think I’m most similar to Stella [McCartney] and Mary [McCartney]. I really relate to the way they’ve dealt with their circumstances – they’re like big sisters to me.”

Being the son of such a huge star like his dad and inheriting his looks made Dhani a celebrity himself. He was offered many jobs, including modeling and in bands, but he wanted to pursue a career that would help him succeed on his own, so he attended industrial design and physics at Brown University, and got his dream job with the McLaren design team.

However, when Dhani was in his 20’s, George Harrison was diagnosed with cancer and only had months to live. According to Dhani, his dad’s final wish was for his son and his best friend, Jeff Lynne, to finish his album. Dhani was more than happy to continue his dad’s legacy.

George Harrison passed away on November 29, 2001, and a year later, his twelfth and final studio album, Brainwashed, was released.

In 2004, great George Harrison was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2009, he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Today, Dhani is completely dedicated to music. In 2001, he and friend and filmmaker Oli Hecks formed the band Thenewno2. He’s been involved in a number of music projects and performs the songs of the legendary band his dad was part of as well as the music his father created as a solo artist.

Dhani married his longtime girlfriend Solveig Karadottir eight years ago at Friar Park, outside the Harrison estate where he grew up. His dad’s band mates Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr attended the wedding and Stella McCartney, Paul’s daughter, designed the wedding gown.

Dog feels she will never see her owner again. Her reaction is bringing millions to tears

When we make the decision of getting a dog, we often fear of experiencing the pain of losing them one day. Not having them around after years spent together is devastating, but we rarely think of the pain they feel when their owners leave this world before them.

Dogs go through the same grief and sorrow as any human would when they lose someone they love.

When her dad got seriously sick and his days were numbered, sweet dog Mollie could sense something serious was going on.

Knowing how much Mollie meant to her owner Ryan Jessen, the staff at the Rideout Memorial Hospital in Marysville, California, allowed her to see him for one last time and say that final goodbye.

The video of Mollie approaching the hospital bed and placing her head on her owner’s chest is so touching that it made millions cry. You can see it below.

Gamer solves a missing child case from across the world or some 5,000 miles away

Authorities are always doing their best to solve cases of missing people, and for the wide public to step in and give a helping hand in such cases isn’t that unusual. However, the case of four-year-old Yvette who was kidnapped by her own father got a happy ending in a very unusual way.

When the court decided the girl wasn’t safe by her father’s side and granted custody to her grandparents, Gary and Kim Forester, her dad, Virgil, fled with her.

YouTube

Gary and Kim were desperate to find their granddaughter. Police were searching everywhere but there was no sign of where Yvette could be.

That’s when the grandparents decided to contact Virgil’s Facebook friends and ask them whether they had been in contact with him since he left town.

One of them, Harry Brown, was friends with “Mark Johnson,” which was the name Virgil used. When they asked Harry how the two knew each other and whether they had spoken recently, Harry explained how they used to chat because they had a lot of thing in common based on the groups they liked.

“He had been tagged in a meme I liked so we connected on Facebook and spoke a few times about a year ago,” Harry told Fox LA. “As soon as I got this message I thought wow I need to start trying to message him again cause he thought we were good friends at that point because we’ve had a few conversations before.”

YouTube

The grandparents then asked from him to get in touch with Virgil and try to discover his location. Harry agreed and messaged Virgil, asking what he was up to. At first, Harry tried to persuade Virgil to send him a screenshot of the weather app, but failed.

He then thought of offering his virtual friend some pizza and asked him to send him his address. Virgil agreed eventually, but instead of a delivery guy, police officers knocked on his door.

“They had two grand in reward money and they sent that over straight away and they paid for my flight here, flight back, everything,” Harry said after Yvette was back with her grandparents. He was glad he could help, and he did it from the comfort of his living room in England, some 5,000 miles away.

You can check the whole story and Harry’s interview in the video below.

3-month-old baby boy beaten to death by his monster father

What kind of a sick monster one needs to be in order to abuse their own children? The sad reality is that a number of children suffer from the hands of their parents, and many times, the social services fail in preventing the neglect and abuse from taking place.

Sylys Hernandez was only three months old when he died in 2017. The poor baby was beaten by his own dad, lunatic Isaac Hernandez from Nampa, Idaho. After the child was found dead in his crib, it was determined that he suffered horrific death. Autopsy showed that sweet Sylys had fractures on his legs and 26 fractures on his tiny ribs. His mouth was all covered in bruises.

The sight was completely shocking, but what is even sadder is that this horrific murder could be prevented. Namely, the social services got an anonymous tip about child neglect. The program manager for child and family services in the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s Region 3, Susan Dwello, was on that case, but after visiting the house she determined there was nothing incriminating.

“The difficulty of (anonymous complaints) is that if the department needed to go back or seek more information or other ideas in terms of who may have further information, with an anonymous call, we’re not going to be able to do that,” she explained.

Apparently, just a couple of days prior her visit, the little boy was seen by a doctor and he was perfectly fine. It was reported how Sylys was gaining weight and nothing spoke of alleged abuse at the time.

The father, who definitely doesn’t deserve to be called that, pleaded guilty to three counts of felony injury to his child and was sentenced to 27 years in prison. He, however, wasn’t charged with murder because the exact cause of death of little Sylys wasn’t determined.

We hope this awful man will rot in hell for taking a life of an incredible boy he was supposed to love and care for.

Adopted shelter Pit Bull can’t stop cuddling with his owner

Do you believe in love at first sight? If you ask college girl and shelter volunteer Kayla Filoon, she would definitely say yes. Why? Because she fell in love with the Pit Bull named Russ the moment she laid eyes on him.

Russ was wandering the streets of Philadelphia and was terrified of humans when the shelter workers noticed him. Eventually, they managed to approach closer and take Russ with them.

The moment he entered the shelter, Kayla knew there was something special about him. She even thought of adopting him, but that was easier said than done as Kayla was busy studying and she was sharing the apartment with five other people.

At the time, she thought she could at least spend some time with Russ, who started feeling comfortable around her over time, and took him for a walk. It was then that she knew Russ belonged with her.

Kayla called her mom and told her about Russ. Her mom said that this wasn’t the first time for Kayla to get attached to dogs from the shelter, but Kayla knew this time it was different, so she took Russ in without consulting her roommates. When they saw the Pit Bull, however, they all agreed he should stay with them.

The relationship between Kayla and Russ has been very special. Whenever she enters home, he rushes to give her a hug and a lick. He even keeps her company while she’s studying for her exams.

One of the photos of Russ sleeping on Kayla while she’s doing a homework was shared on Facebook by one of her friends and gathered thousands of shares and comments.

West Point pays tribute to first female 4-star-general in the history of the U.S Army

Women have become important part of the military during the last years. The number of female soldiers and generals is getting higher and higher and they have been recognized as valuable and even essential members of the army.

Retired Gen. Ann Dunwoody was serving the country for over 38 years and received a number of medals and awards for her sacrifice and tireless work.

In 2008, she became the first woman in the U.S. military to achieve a four-star officer rank. Among the rest, she received the Army Distinguished Service Medal, the Defense Superior Service Medal, and the Legion of Merit. Gen. Dunwoody, who is a role model to many women who want to follow her path, has been recognized by France with its National Order of Merit. Two years ago, she was inducted in the inaugural class of the 82nd Airborne Division Hall of Fame.

Before she retired in 2012, Gen. Dunwoody led the Army Materiel Command, which “manages the global supply chain, synchronizing logistics and sustainment activities across the Army.” Being part of the military was a huge honor for this brave woman. In fact, she somehow always knew that serving the country was her calling and that doesn’t come as a surprise knowing that most of her family members were part of the army, including her great-grandfather, her grandfather, her father, her brother and sister, as well as her niece and husband. So, it’s safe to say that the urge to keep Americans safe runs in her family.

However, coming from a family of veterans didn’t make things easier for Gen. Dunwoody as all she achieved is thanks to her passion and commitment.

During a 2015 interview with Army Times, she said, “…I had advocates, then there were detractors. They just don’t like you, maybe they think it’s a man’s Army and women don’t belong here. The key is how you deal with people. You don’t stoop to name-calling. You be professional, demonstrate you’re capable and sometimes you convert people. In the military, people want the best leader on the team.” She then added, “I’ve watched doors open my entire career. Some are opened for you, some you have to kick down. I believe if someone is qualified, and I mean fully qualified, they should be able to go through that door.”

On October 10, 2019, she received the The Sylvanus Thayer Award. The West Point Association of Graduates gives this award “to a citizen of the United States, other than a West Point graduate, whose outstanding character, accomplishments, and stature in the civilian community draw wholesome comparison to the qualities for which West Point strives, in keeping with its motto: ‘Duty, Honor, Country.’”

Another woman who made history and paved the path to the world of military for other females is Lt. j.g. Madeline Swegle who became the first black female tactical aircraft pilot in the US Navy.

In 2019, Maj. Gen. Maria Barrett and Brig. Gen. Paula Lodi became the Army’s first pair of sister generals.

We are glad women’s work has been recognized as they can offer as much as men can, if not more.

Below is Gen. Dunwoody video in which she speaks of her incredible career spanning almost four decades.
