The moment we welcome our pets in our life, they become our family.
80-year-old Ken Pendagraft had a dog named Zack who was his best friend and biggest support in life for over 14 years. In fact, Zack was the reason Ken was feeling fine as the dog was the only family this man had. The two would take long walks and had fun together, but then, Zack got sick.
Unfortunately, Ken couldn’t afford to take his furry-pal to the vet and that broke his heart. Seeing him crying because of his dog’s declining health, one of Ken’s neighbors who witnessed he was in a desperate condition decided to share his story and wrote, “Ken was in tears …He said, ‘I don’t know what to do. I have no money to take him to a vet’.”
That’s when Elaine Seamans, founder of the At-Choo Foundation, a rescue organization that helps dogs in need of medical care decided to step in. They took Zack to a vet where they were told the poor animal suffered from glaucoma, severe arthritis and a 6/6 heart murmur. That meant a surgery wasn’t possible and Zack died shortly after.
Elaine took to Facebook to thank everyone who kept Zack in their prayers and wrote, “Prof. Zack’s loving papa was with him as his soul was released from his body that had stopped working for him. He is now feeling like a puppy again and doing all things happy and joyful.”
Ken was deeply affected and saddened by the loss. In fact he was so heartbroken that he died of heart affect shortly after Zack was forever gone.
Ken and Zack, rest in peace. What you two had was something truly special.
Yeva Klingbeil is a senior at Shenendehowa High School. In 2019, this brave young lady was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer which affects the muscle tissue. However, the devastating diagnosis has never stood on her way to achieve many great things. What’s most, Yeva has never lost hope and is doing all in her power to win the battle against the awful disease. The good thing is that she’s not alone. On the contrary, she’s surrounded by family, friends, and teachers who are always there for her and assist her every step of the way.
On May 24, Yeva took part in an athletic meet at school and the video of her friends helping her reach the finish line went viral and touched many hearts.
The school shared the touching moment on Twitter along with the words: “What a great moment to see Senior Yeva Klingbeil at today’s girl’s track & field meet.
“Yeva’s teammates help her across the line in the 4X1 relay. Yeva continues her fight with cancer and we continue to be amazed by her spirit!!”
What a great moment to see Senior Yeva Klingbeil at today’s girls track & field meet. Yeva’s teammates help her across the line in the 4X1 relay. Yeva continues her fight with cancer and we continue to be amazed by her spirit!! @CoachCloutier@ShenNews@Agostinoni_Ronpic.twitter.com/pMs35dYLgY
This incredible lady with unbreakable spirit started her chemo treatments shortly after her diagnosis because of a cancerous mass around her jaw.
At the time, the school set up a fundraising on Pledge It and organized a marathon in hopes of raising money to help her and the family with the medical costs. It helped raise $21,474. However, the family didn’t spend all the money on Yeva’s treatments. Instead, they shared some with the organization Family Reach, which offers financial assistance to families of cancer patients.
“Yeva and her family pray her brain will continue healing and she’ll be able to breathe, walk, and eat once again,” Yeva’s coach Rob Cloutier wrote on Pledge It, showing how much the school and her teachers support her. “While Yeva has gone through all of this and more, she has never stopped caring about her friends and family and has never given up hope of recovery.”
What a beautiful, loving tribute to a teammate. Kids really understand sportsmanship and humanity.
Regarding the marathon, the coach wrote: “I’ve got a great senior class, and Yeva’s a part of that. They’ve really come together and rallied around this, but used it as an opportunity to be grateful for everything you have and an opportunity to be a part of something, right? That’s kind of the idea behind this. It’s a simple thing. However you want to jump in, you want to get involved, you want to donate … it’s up to you. But here’s an opportunity. It’s been special,” as per Daily Gazette.
We wish Yeva win her battle as soon as possible. She’s brave and optimistic, and she will end up a winner.
Celebrating a milestone birthday is always a big deal, but turning 103 is truly something that only a few get to reach. WWII veteran Art Raderer is one of those lucky people.
This year, Mr. Raderer celebrated his 103rd birthday in the company of his family, friends, and members of the community. Of course, the pandemic prevented a huge party from taking place, but this awesome man is more than happy to be around those who mean him the most, and that’s what matters most.

Mr. Raderer was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1918, during the Spanish flu pandemic which infected roughly 500 million people worldwide. Sadly, it claimed the life of Mr. Raderer’s father and his mother was left to take care of him and his two brothers all by herself.
After he graduated from high school, Mr. Raderer was drafted into the Army in 1944. He was part of the 1629th Engineer Construction Battalion and was deployed to the Philippines, but before his battalion was called upon, the war had already ended.
Before serving in the Kentucky National Guard, Mr. Raderer was stationed in Japan for some time. He retired as a major.

“It’s well – it overwhelms me really, I don’t know why people do that but it’s always good to see all of your friends,” he said of his birthday celebration.
Mr. Raderer is one happy man. We wish him only the best in the years to come. Happy birthday!
Sometimes, two people can look at the same thing and see it differently. If you wonder how is that possible, just think of the stir caused by the photo of the blue and black dress. Or, was it white and gold? People just couldn’t agree on the right color because they were convinced they were right and believed the other person should go and check their vision.
Optical illusions can also trick your mind into seeing something that is not really there, or missing to notice the obvious, that’s why they are so popular.
We bring you a fun puzzle to help you test your vision. Don’t worry if you don’t get it right. Because of the pandemics, we tend to spend most of our time at home, starring at our phone and computer screens, so if you need more time to get to the right answer, it probably means you should spend more time outdoors looking at trees and flowers, to give your brain and eyes a break from the technology.
Are you ready?

Was it difficult or just a piece of cake? How much time did you need?
If you love this puzzle, go here for another optical illusion.
Just imagine the anticipation of new parents seeing their little ones taking their first steps and uttering their first words. Well, most moms and dads get to experience all this when their babies are one or two years old, sometimes older. But not the parents of the cute and very intelligent baby girl from the video below.
Mom is filming her bundle of joy while she is asking her whether she got everything she wanted for Christmas. Of course, she doesn’t expect from the baby to answer back knowing she’s only eight weeks old. But then, the most incredible thing happens. As mom says “I love you” a couple of times in a row, the sweet girl seems to say “I love you” too.

It’s good that she caught this on tape, otherwise, no one would ever believe her that her daughter “speaks” at that age.
The video was shared on YouTube by Tim Hamilton and gained the attention of over 49 million people. Some believe the baby indeed repeated her mom’s words, while others agree that she’s simply way too young to be able to utter a proper sentence and the sound she made only resembled the words “I love you.”

Anyway, we leave it to you to determine if this is one of the smartest babies there are by watching the video below. What a cutie this girl is. She will definitely grew up into a chatty young lady.
When we think of good food, one of the names that first comes to mind is that of Jamie Oliver, and for a very good reason. Jamie is one of the best of the best in the gastronomy business. He has published a number of cookbooks over the years, owns restaurants, has his own shows, and what’s most, he’s helping school children in the UK eat healthy. In fact, his plan is to reduce obesity at young kids by half by 2030.
Jamie struggled at school when he was young because of his dyslexia and said in one occasion that he felt “angry” towards the concept of revision and resented education, but he was great with knives and preparing food even at the age of five.

He was born on May 27, 1975, in Clavering, England, to parents who owned a restaurant. He says his family wasn’t really rich as opposed to the popular belief that he was a rich and spoiled kid.
“I have no idea why all these people I met later with my food show The Naked Chef on TV thought I was some privileged rich kid who went to a private school. Actually I was a chubby, thick kid who was so bad at school I needed extra lessons for the simplest things,” he said.

Jamie enjoyed helping in the restaurant and his mother Sally says he was a great asset in the kitchen.
“We had chefs working in the kitchen who gave easy jobs to him and I think it made him feel really grown up – he thought he was ‘one of the boys’,” she said in an interview.
“He grew up aware that it was normal to see men cooking, perhaps unlike other children of his age. The chefs always used to joke and have a laugh with him and I know he really enjoyed it. He also knew that once service began everyone would buckle down and get on with the job.”

However, Jamie says that what he learned from his parents besides cooking is the work ethics, for which he is forever grateful.
“To be honest, I cooked up some really good grub, even as a kid,” he told Flow Magazine.
“But my parents taught me something else really important: a great work ethic and how to treat others with respect and friendliness, and how to stay polite even when you’re stressed and your feet are killing you.
“I sometimes wish my own kids could help their grandparents out now and again, and learn all that. Back then I soon understood: if you want to get anywhere, you have to roll up your sleeves and get on with it.”
Jamie became a reality star and made a name for himself after he appeared in an unscripted BBC documentary back in 1997 while working at River Café in London. His cooking show The Naked Chef followed and the rest is history.
Despite being a famous chef, Jamie is also a loving husband and a father of five. He and his wife Jools met when they were 17. Speaking of their first date, Jamie explained how he crashed the car and said jokingly on The Chatty Man Show: “She felt sorry for me. She thought, ‘The way he drives, he needs support in life.’”

The truth is that Jools is indeed there to support Jamie every step of the way.
The two got married in 2000, and he says she’s the reason why he never acted as a spoiled celebrity and didn’t let fame change him.
“Marriage is really hard, you are going to spend a proportion of it not liking your other half and vice versa,” Jamie told Hello Magazine.
“So I think not holding grudges, being able to move on is really important. Just keeping at it.

“But I love Jools to bits and I’m really proud of the woman she has become, growing into,” he added. ” I think a lot of women struggle with aging, but I’ve really enjoyed seeing Jools change throughout the years, I really have. She’s definitely my best mate.”
She keeps his ego “in check” and it is mainly because of her that he is so grounded.
And yes, he admits he is in love with his wife today even more than he was in the past. What a beautiful couple Jamie and Jools make.
You can’t buy love, but you can adopt it! Yes, there’s nothing that can be compared to the love dogs feel for their humans and every dog owner can tell you that.
Having a furry pal by your side means never having to be alone. Their incredible sense of dedication can make even the hardest of days a bit brighter. We are so lucky to have dogs in our lives.
This truly touching story of a dog named Boncuk from Trabzon, Turkey is going to melt your heart.

One day, Boncuk’s owner, Cemal, had to be rushed to the hospital. The dog got confused and had no idea what was going on. She only knew that she couldn’t leave her human daddy alone, so she ran after the ambulance all the way to the hospital.
Believe it or not, Boncuk spent six long days in front of the facility, waiting for her owner to get out, as per The Guardian.
Cemal’s daughter, Aynur Egeli, told The Guardian: “She runs away from home and comes here, all by herself.”

Finally, after the long waiting, she was reunited with her favorite human again. As Cemal was discharged, Boncuk couldn’t hide her excitement and happiness. She was overjoyed, and her reaction put a smile on many people’s faces.
“She’s very used to me,” Cemal said. “And I miss her too, constantly.”
“They bring joy, and make people happy. They provide companionship just like humans and they make people happy.”

You can take a look at the heart-melting video of the reunion below. Adorable, isn’t it?
Being homeless is a heartache. Sadly, this isn’t only true for the people who lack a roof over their head, but for the animals who are forced to fend for themselves and spend their days on the streets, too.
The good thing is that a lot of street dogs find a loving home eventually, but most spend their entire lives as homeless and without experiencing love.
The former usually get a second chance all thanks to the animal lovers who dedicate their days at saving animals in need.
If it wasn’t for these people, who are mainly volunteers working without getting paid but simply because of their love for animals, many strays and neglected pets would end up euthanized.

This is the story of Cesar, a tiny Yorkshire who spent most, if not all his life, in a dark, filthy box at a puppy mill. His movements were restricted to only a few meters and we are devastated to hear that he had never had the chance to run around, waging his tail.
Even though there isn’t enough information about Cesar’s life, it’s not hard to see that he didn’t have it easy. His appearance was enough evidence that the poor dog suffered and was severely neglected.
Luckily, local authorities were alerted of Cesar’s situation and they managed to rescue him. Once the dog was in safe hands, they took him to the vet, who couldn’t believe the dog could look that bad.
His fur was in a desperate condition. Covered in dirty, matted hair for so long, and his body riddled with infection, he had to be treated with lots of medications.

But today, after everything he’d been through, Cesar is a happy dog that found a forever home. A lovely couple who heard his story were determined to welcome him in their home and give him all the love he deserved. As for the rescuers who gave him his freedom, you are the best, and we can never thank you enough for everything you do for the animals in need.
