Two enormous sea lions steal a boat and take it for a joyride

What happens when two enormous sea lions decide to spend the day sailing instead of swimming? One of the most hilarious videos of animals there are, I’d say. Now if you wonder how is it even possible for sea lions to sail, just hear this man’s incredible story. And yes, there’s a proof of it, because who would believe him if he said he spotted these hilarious creatures on a boat.

It all started when Joshua Phillips, a former professional football player, was at open sea enjoying the day in his boat. In the distance, he noticed quite an unusual sight and that’s when he decided to approach closer and take his camera out.

“The vessel looked a little off, and we got closer and closer and realized there were two massive animals on board,” Phillips wrote on Instagram.

The sea lions, who were way bigger than what most of us have ever seen, are having the time of their life and enjoy the joyride in the Eld Inlet, not far from Olympia, Washington. If you want to know how huge they really are, just take a closer look at the boat they “stole” and you’ll notice the back of it is almost completely under the waterline.

However, as much as love watching these cute creatures having fun, we can only hope there weren’t any people stuck inside the cabin.

The best part is when a third sea lion tries to join his friends on the ride but they won’t allow it climb. Honestly, it’s not that they are not friendly, but there wasn’t really much space for another huge animal to climb on.

If you want to see the incredible sight yourself just scroll down for the video. You are going to love it, that’s for sure.

Robin William’s son, Zak, honors his late father on his 70th birthday: “We miss you and love you always!”

The charm late Robin Williams was able to enchant the audience with is immeasurable. His incredible acting and his vibrant personality helped him become one of the most loved actors and humans who have ever walked this Earth.

Unfortunately, behind his captivating spirit and smile, he was facing his struggles and was fighting his demons.

July 21 marked what would have been Williams’ 70 birthday and his son Zak decided to open up about the life without his loving father by his side. “Dad, on what would be your 70th birthday, I would want you to know that your incredible spirit lives within us,” 38-year-old Zak wrote on Instagram. “Our family will be celebrating you and your memory today. We miss you and love you always!”

During the last years of his life, Williams’ health started to fail. The man who could memorize thousands of lines without making a single mistake, started having troubles remembering on set. Unfortunately, that frustrated him a great deal and led to anxiety. “It was a period for him of intense searching and frustration,” Zak said speaking to Max Lugavere for the podcast The Genius Life, as reported by Fox News. “It’s just devastating.

Williams was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, but after his death, the autopsy revealed he had Lewy Body Dementia (LBD), a neurological disease in which protein deposits, called Lewy bodies, develop in nerve cells in the brain regions involved in thinking, memory and movement (motor control). According to an article by the Mayo Clinic, “people with Lewy body dementia might have visual hallucinations and changes in alertness and attention.”

Speaking of his father’s misdiagnosis, Zak said: “What he was going through didn’t match one to one [with] many Parkinson’s patients’ experience.”

Williams’ wife, Susan Schneider Williams, also opened up about the actor’s misdiagnosis. “All 4 of the doctors I met with afterwards and who had reviewed his records indicated his was one of the worst pathologies they had seen. He had about 40% loss of dopamine neurons and almost no neurons were free of Lewy bodies throughout the entire brain and brainstem,” she wrote for Neurology.

Once he became a father himself, Zak honored Robin Williams by naming his newborn son McLaurin “Mickey” Clement Williams. McLaurin was Robin Williams’ middle name.

In an episode of The Me You Can’t See, Zak revealed just how much his life resembled that of his late dad at times. “I started to realise elements of myself that were like him [Robin]. My anxiety, my bouts of depression, OCD, drugs, drinking like him.”

“It’s only in hindsight that you see ‘wow there’s a generational issue going on,'” Zak added. “I love being a parent, it’s the best thing ever. Do I see it as an opportunity to break a generational cycle? Yeah, there’s a major opportunity to show up for my son clear eyed and focused. To be there for him.”

Robin Williams, the “bold” comedian with a “kind and gentle spirit,” died of suicide in 2014. May God rest his soul. He was truly one of a kind both as an actor and as a human.

Woman living in the woods of Wales gives tour of her tiny earthen home

Many people dream of establishing close connection with the nature, but not many are willing to give up their lives in the crowded cities or give up all the modern utilities which facilitate our existence.

Emma, a woman who lives in the most unique earthen home we have ever seen, located in the woods of Wales, turned to the simple life; the one without electricity or any other type of modern equipment. She is completely devoted to the nature and uses running water and fire to cook her meals for which she grows her own fruits and veggies. Emma also owns chickens and goats and has fresh eggs and milk every single day.

And yes, this way of living means no rent, no neighbors, and no electricity bills.

Recently, Emma opened the doors to her home, which she built herself using only natural materials such as plaster, clay, and straw bales, to Bryce Langston of Living Big in a Tiny House. Needless to say, he was left speechless by the unique hut which many agree resembles those of The Shire in The Lord of the Rings.

Who wouldn’t want a cozy place like this?

Of course, living in the woods isn’t easy. Emma needs to carry water in the home from the nearby river and chop wood all by herself. The good thing is that she enjoys it.

Inside the 4 meter long home, there is a fireplace and huge windows with no curtains which allow natural lighting. The ceiling resembles a piece of art, and what Emma likes best about it is the sense of equality the perfectly arranged rafters give.

There are no rafts or cupboards as everything is on display and easy to access.

Outside the hut, there is a composting toilet and a bath which is heated with fire.

This is definitely the fairy-tale home for someone who loves being close to the nature to the extent Emma does.

You can take a look at the video of this perfect home below. It only cost Emma £1000 to build it.

Man added some cash inside a lost wallet before returning it to its rightful owner

They say that even the tiniest acts of kindness can go a long way, and the good deed one stranger did for a young man who lost a valuable belonging went viral and reminded us that we should never lose our faith in humanity.

Hunter Shamatt, a 20-year-old man from Brandon, South Dakota, headed to Vegas to his sister’s wedding and was hoping to have the best time. He did have lots of fun, but one thing made him feel very worried at the same time. Namely, Hunter lost his wallet along with $60 cash, a paycheck on $400, his debit card, and his ID. He had to borrow money from his relatives in order to be able to spend a few days in Vegas.

Speaking to The Washington Post, Hunter, who works as a carpenter, said: “It kind of sucked. I was anxious not having my ID… It being Vegas and all, I figured it was gone forever.”

To his surprise, just after he somehow managed with the plane company to return home, Hunter got a package. Inside was his wallet and a note signed with initials only. It read:

“Hunter, found this on a Frontier flight from Omaha to Denver – row 12, seat F wedged between the seat and wall. Thought you might want it back. All the best. P.S. I rounded your cash up to an even $100 so you could celebrate getting your wallet back. Have Fun!!!”

Wow! The man not only returned Hunter’s wallet, but he treated him with $40 as well.

Hunter’s mom, Janine, shared the note on her Facebook page, and they managed to track the good Samaritan down. It was a man named Todd Brown.

Hunter then sent a letter to Brown thanking him for his incredibly kind deed.

“Sir, I can’t thank you enough. What you’ve done for me is virtually unheard of.

Never in my life have I or my family witnessed such generosity. I never expected to see my wallet again, let alone with $40 more. Thank you so much, I’ve got student loans and a truck loan and it makes all the difference.”

What an uplifting story!

Teen steps in for struggling elderly woman and attracts attention for his action

Do you remember the summer days spent at the mall as a teenager? We may have been dirt poor, but we walked those faux-marble pathways until they were worn down. Chasing crushes, window shopping and gabbing with friends was all part of the mall-going experience. That being said, would any of us have stopped in our teenage tracks to help an older woman in need? Well, that’s exactly what one incredible teenager from Compton, California did while at the mall with his friends. Thankfully, his stepmother was able to capture her selfless son in the act on camera – and she shared her heartwarming footage for the world to see.

Instead of thinking of whether his friends were watching or what any girl his age might whisper at school, 13-year-old Dashawn decided to step in and do the right thing. He put his own interests aside to help an elderly woman cross the busy mall parking lot.

After watching her stepson carry out his kind act, Maria Lopez shared the footage with the Love What Matters Facebook page.

Maria wrote: “I dropped our son off at the mall today, and I catch this as I’m leaving. To say we are proud of the young man he is turning into is an understatement. A lady even stopped and complimented him with tears in her eyes. It truly takes a village, and our village is beyond proud, young man! Our son’s name is Dashawn and he is 13-years-old. I met his mom 4 years ago and we will be married for a year on August 20th. Dashawn’s father passed away when he was just a little baby and he has been raised by an amazing village comprised of his mother Nicky, grandmother Kiwanis and grandfather Charlie.” From the time I met Dashawn, he has always been a very special and kind-hearted child. Always doing anything he can to help out the less fortunate. And all without being prompted. Needless to say, everyone in his family is extremely proud of him, but nobody is prouder than his mom…”
Facebook/Maria Lopez
“She, along with the help of her parents, Kate and Charlie, instilled in Dashawn at a very young age the value of respecting and honoring all people, but especially the elderly. On July 31st Dashawn asked if he could go to the mall with his friends. Since it was the last day of summer he was more excited than usual to hang out with his friends, knowing his weekday trips to the mall would have to come to a stop during the school year. Fast forward to us getting to the mall. I handed him his spending money for the day, reminded him to make good choices and that I loved him and would see him in 3 hours. He said ok and he loved me too and got out the car. As I was getting ready to leave, I look up and see Dashawn talking to this elderly lady. At first, I wasn’t sure what was going on because I was in the car and couldn’t hear the dialogue between the two. Then next thing I see is the elderly lady handing my son her bag of food and then she motioned for him to get on the other side of her. That’s when I realized what was happening. I pulled out my phone to take a picture as well as record the events so that his mom and grandparents could see what I witnessed as well.” Dashawn didn’t have to put his own fun on hold to help this woman, but he did so without thinking twice. Clearly, Mom, Stepmom and the rest of the “village” have raised this little boy right. He’s going to grow up to be a caring, considerate adult with a good head on his shoulders! There’s no doubt about it.

Watch another kind young man stop to help this elderly woman across the street. We need more people like them!

Royal expert claims Queen Elizabeth has new “insulting plan” for Harry and Meghan Markle

As they made a fresh start when they decided to step down from their royal duties and leave Britain, probably for good, Harry and Meghan have dropped down their HRH titles and are not allowed to use the word “royal” in their own branding. The two, however, are still allowed to call themselves the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, something the majority of Britons aren’t happy about. Why, you may wonder? Well, they believe that Harry and Meghan have slammed the Royal Family to a great extent, but they are still cashing out by using royal titles.

The relationship between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the royals didn’t deteriorate as much when they left the family as it did when they gave Oprah the infamous tell-all interview during which they accused the royals of a bunch of things. Among the rest, Meghan spoke of the family’s inability to help her with her mental struggles, claiming she was told it would affect the image of the Firm. She also claimed that a senior royal questioned the color of Archie’s skin, which many understood as an attempt to accuse the Royals of racism. Shortly after the interview which shook the world, William said his family wasn’t racist.

The Queen hasn’t said much regarding everything that has been going on. She only released a statement which read: “Following conversations with The Duke, The Queen has written confirming that in stepping away from the work of The Royal Family it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service.

“The honorary military appointments and Royal patronages held by The Duke and Duchess will therefore be returned to Her Majesty, before being redistributed among working members of The Royal Family.” The statement concluded that Harry and Meghan will always remain much loved members of the family.

One person, who was said to be extremely mad at Harry and Meghan in particular, was Prince Charles. He accused his son of dragging the family’s name through the mud and wasn’t particularly interested in mending the relationship, especially after Harry refused to talk things through with him and William after Prince Philip’s funeral.

However, it looked like the Sussexes offered an olive branch to the Royals when their daughter was born. They named her Lilibet “Diana” Mountbatten-Windsor, honoring both the Queen and late Princess Diana. This decision, however, was slammed by the public who believed that neither Queen Elizabeth was consulted regarding the name, which was her childhood nickname, nor was she happy.

Now that Harry and Meghan lead their lives as civilians and Harry has announced he will be publishing a book which will be all about “the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him,” as per the publishing company Penguin Random House, the public expects from the Queen to make a move.

However, according to royal expert Ingrid Seward, Queen Elizabeth will likely do something completely different and will deal with her grandson and his wife as gracefully as always, by ignoring them. Seward believes that the Queen won’t remove the “Duke and Duchess of Sussex” titles from Harry and Meghan because it will lead to compromising the relationship with them even further.

“I don’t think removing the titles would make much difference and it would look very petty,” she told Express. “I also don’t think it is something the Queen would want to do at this stage of her reign.

“It would be far more insulting just to ignore them. Even excluding them from the jubilee next year gives them ammunition to criticize the monarchy.”

As per reports, in order to remove Harry and Meghan’s titles, a statute would need to be passed by both the House of Commons and the House of Lords.

Donald Trump Jr. recalls he played video games with Michael Jackson as a child

Donald Trump Jr. has had his fair share in the business of his mogul father and former POTUS Donald Trump. Raised in the Trump Tower, he got to experience the life of luxury from the moment he was born.

When he was just 12 years old, his parents divorced and Trump Jr.’s mother, Ivana Trump, got the custody of him and his siblings, sister Ivanka and brother Eric. In fact, at the time, it was Ivana who was spending much of her time with the children while Donald Trump was busy running his business and expanding to Manhattan.

Shutterstock

As a child, Trump Jr. spent most of his summers his maternal grandparents in Czechoslovakia where he enjoyed going fishing. He also learned to speak fluent Czech.

Being a young boy and not being aware of how things worked between grown ups, Trump Jr. blamed his father of the divorce. “How can you say you love us?” the 12-year-old Trump Jr. told his father, according to a 1990 Vanity Fair article. Later, however, he said he was “manipulated” into thinking that Donald was the only one responsible for the separation.

“Listen, it’s tough to be a 12-year-old. You’re not quite a man, but you think you are. You think you know everything,” Trump Jr. said. “Being driven into school every day and you see the front page and it’s divorce! ‘THE BEST SEX I EVER HAD!‘ And you don’t even know what that means.”

Shutterstock

After the divorce, Ivana received $25 million payout and wrote in her memoir: “Donald might not have been the greatest husband to me, but he was a good father to the kids.”

Ivana was heavily involved into the family business while married to Donald. She was the designer of the interiors at the Grand Hyatt Hotel and Trump Tower, as well as president and CEO of Trump Castle and also president and CEO of the Plaza Hotel.

Shutterstock

As his father has always been a very powerful man, he was good friends with a number of celebrities. Speaking of those times and the life at Trump Tower, Trump Jr. wrote in his book Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us: “Even when Dad would bring home a celebrity, which he did often, I would usually run in the other direction.” That, however, wasn’t the case when the King of Pop was around. Michael Jackson owned an apartment at the Trump Tower and he was a frequent visitor of the Trump family.

Trump Jr. recalled he and his siblings had several playdates with the music icon. During an occasion, as he and MJ were playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the Nintendo, Donald gave Michael a copy of the game.

Shutterstock

“Michael Jackson used to come up and he was our neighbor at Trump Tower,” Trump Jr. told Fox News. “So I was playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Michael Jackson! You know, this is in the early 90s—maybe even in the late 80s. Peak Michael.

“We’re playing Nintendo and Michael really likes the game. So my dad walks in and says ‘well why don’t you take the game Michael?’ And so I’m sitting there like….,” he said expressing disbelief.

“My parents made us work for the things that we wanted and it was one of the great things they did for us,” he continued.

“So that took me whatever it was time to earn it — I’m pretty sure Michael could’ve called Nintendo and said I want one of those. It wouldn’t have been a big deal, but he just took it. I was like, ‘What’s going on here?’”

Shutterstock

After spending some time in Aspen, living in his truck and working as a bartender, Trump Jr. returned to New York in 2001 and he’s been working alongside his father ever since. During Donald Trump’s presidency, Trump Jr. was his chief adviser and helped with the campaign a great deal.

He has been supporting his father’s plan to run for president once again. However, when asked whether he considers running himself, he said at a Conservative Political Conference in Texas that he hasn’t “personally thought about” running for President in 2024.

Shutterstock

Trump Jr. also added that “[unnamed polls have] me pretty high up the list if not at the top of it.” As quoited by People, he also said: “Who knows. The reality with that job is you also have to want to do the day job, right? It’s not just about the campaigning.

“I love being in that fight, I love fighting for the things that are out there, that I believe in as a conservative. I will do that irrespective. To want to actually get in that mix, is a whole different story.”

Trump Jr. was married to now ex-wife Vanessa for 14 years before they decided to untie the knot back in 2018. They are parents of five children.

Vietnam vet makes a promise to rescue 50,000 dogs in honor of the K9 he left behind

Many times, dogs play crucial roles at helping soldiers who are serving the country. Being deployed is not easy at all, so for many soldiers, the canines they meet and make friends with while at distant lands are the reason why they endure being separated from their loved ones.

One Vietnam veteran named Mike Monahan had his life saved by a dog named Chico some 50 years ago. Chico was originally from South Dakota but his owners sent him to Vietnam after they realized how overprotective he was and after he completed a Scout Dog Training in Georgia.

Source: Facebook/ Mike Monahan

Unfortunately, after the war was over, Chico, and the rest of around 4,000 dogs were either abandoned or euthanized. Today, even years after saying the last goodbye, Mike still feels incredible guilt for leaving his furry companion behind.

For over a year now, Mike is writing a book about Chico’s life as seen from the dog’s perspective titled Chico’s Promise.

Speaking to WCPO, Mike shared a short extract of his book which is about to be published very soon. “Then one day Mike entered my kennel, took a knee, put his arms around me and said, ‘I love you, I love you boy. I’m sorry I can’t do anything about this, I love you boy take care of yourself. Goodbye Chico. Thanks for saving my life, I promise to never forget about what a hero you are in my eyes.’ Then I heard a voice say, ‘Monahan, time to go. Jeep’s waiting,’ and just like that it was over, once again I was all alone. Abandoned.”

The promise Mike made to Chico and to himself is to help save 50,000 dogs by covering the fees for their adoption.

In order to make this wish a reality, Mike will use the money from the book he’s writing. “My dream is that millions of people will read Chico’s story, fall in love with him, become inspired, and join forces to improve the treatment of dogs by eliminating abuse and abandonment.”

We hope he will achieve his goal and that many dogs will find their happy ending with loving families.
