Abandoned newborn baby found in truck bed becomes couple’s little miracle

0

There are people out there who don’t believe in destiny, but serendipitous encounters like the one from our story can definitely make them question their thinking.

Lorraine Nicholls is a stepmother to three beautiful children she considers her own. She, however, always wanted to have more kids, but being a two-time breast cancer survivor, she couldn’t have kids on her own.

Then, out of the blue, a little miracle came along and she embraced it.

While she was working night shift at the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, a newborn baby boy was rushed there in the middle of the night. The little guy was wet and cold, and Lorraine learned that he was abandoned on a truck bed when a student who heard him crying alerted the police. They found him at Meridian Apartments in Tallahassee, Florida. This incident took place back in 2017.

Lorraine was assigned to be the baby’s respiratory therapist.

“I assessed his breathing, his, you know, oxygen,” she said in a video by Humankind. “For the most part, he was fine. Cold, hungry, wet, but he was fine.”

Deep down, Lorraine knew this baby came to her for a reason. He was left behind and with no one to take care of him, and she wanted a baby so badly.

During his stay at the hospital, Lorraine and the baby formed a very special bond, too special to be broken, we’d say.

She spoke to her husband and he was in for a new journey into fatherhood and that’s how they ended up adopting the sweet baby whom they named Charlie. “He just fills that hole that I had in my heart,” Lorraine told the Tallahassee Democrat. “I just feel like I have everything that I need and want and enjoy the fact that I can take care of him.”

Welcoming Charlie into their lives was the best decision ever.

Lorraine believes that adoption is a wonderful thing and she encourages others to follow her example and provide a family to a child who is dreaming of one.

“It just means so much, it’s more than I could ever imagine or dream of,” she added.

Lorraine was praying for a miracle and God answered her prayer.

Newly rescued Doberman grabs 1-year-old girl by the diaper and tosses her over his shoulder – Parents realize he’s saving her life

0

Isn’t it awesome when you know you can change someone’s life for the best with just one simple decision? I know dog owners who chose to adopt a furry pal would answer this question with a resounding yes.

One mother from Atherton, Australia, learned of an abused doberman and wanted to step in give the animal a forever home. But was that the right thing to do? Certainly.

When Catherine Svillicic welcomed Khan into her life and her home, she knew she was dealing with a canine who had a rough start early in life. Khan’s previous owners were cruel people who mistreated him. He even ended up with broken ribs once. Luckily, that all changed.

Catherine believed Khan would be the perfect pal for her then 1-year-old daughter Charlotte. And she was right. The little girl fell in love with Khan the moment she laid eyes on him. Her parents knew she was safe with him by her side.

One day, however, Khan started acting very strangely. Catherine could feel he was anxious but could tell why. She noticed he was nudging the girl repeatedly, and moments later, he grabbed her by the diaper and threw her over his shoulder. Catherine couldn’t believe her eyes, she got scared for her little one, and rushed to take her in her hands. That’s when she looked down and saw a King Brown snake, a venomous specimen, right where Charlotte was sitting moments earlier.

The girl could easily suffered a deadly bite if it wasn’t for Khan. Sadly, he got bitten.

The family quickly rushed him to the vet’s where he received an anti-venom shot. The good thing is that he recovered.

Needless to say, Khan was dubbed a hero for his selfless act. Catherine was glad she took a chance with him and welcomed him into the family.

The Bogdanoff twin brothers: Plastic surgery, royal ties, children

0

Even if you are probably not familiar with their life story and the background behind their distinctive looks, it’s very likely that you have stumbled upon photos of the famous French twin brothers Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff.

Many say they resemble socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein, or better known as “The Catwoman.” Just like her, the Bogdanoff brothers changed their appearance drastically. What’s most, they don’t resemble their old selves at all.

So who are Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff?

These twins first caught the attention of France’s wide public when they started their science fiction prime-time series “Temps X.” Known for their incredible intellect, they have shaken the world of science with their progressive research and ideas. Back in the day, the Bogdanoff twins were described by the New York Times as ”wunderkids” with high intelligence and big egos.

They were born in southwest France in 1949 and have Russian roots. Grischka and Igor were raised by their maternal grandmother, Countess Bertha Kolowrat-Krakowská, who belonged to a historic Czech family from Central Europe. The twins grew up in their grandma’s castle, Saint-Lary (Esclignac), and led sort of a royal life.

Their grandma’s dramatic life probably left an impression on them. Namely, Countess Bertha Kolowrat-Krakowská gave birth to her daughter, the twin’s mother, after she had an affair with the African-American tenor Roland Hayes. This was a huge scandal because at the time she was married to Hieronymus Graf, a member of the Austrian princely House of Colloredo-Mannsfeld, at the time.

During the 70s and 80s, the brothers looked completely normal. However, during the 90’s, they had their first plastic surgery, although they still deny ever having any, and their obsession became bigger and bigger with time.

They became sort of celebrities not only in their homeland but America as well. Even nowadays, they are often seen in the company of very famous people, including models and television stars.

However, each and every of their public appearances makes headlines. Sydney Morning Herald, for example, described the twins’ cheekbones as “so high and bulbous as to appear to threaten their owners’ vision,” adding that the “growth in their lips and chins continued unabated through the last decade.”

When asked about their surgeries, both brothers say they have never gone under the knife, which is of course, hard to believe.

”I say it solemnly, we have never used it,” Grichka Bogdanoff said in an interview with Télé-Loisirs 2017.

Some magazines argued that the twins’ appearance is due to high levels of hormones which cause gigantism, but that’s not proved to be right.

“We have never resorted to what is called cosmetic surgery,” Grichka Bogdanoff said in 2017. He, however, admitted they have undergone some “protocols,” he referred to as “advanced technologies.”

On the talk-show Touche pas à mon poste! (TPMP), the brothers claimed they were subject of strange scientific experiments during a trip to America.

Both Igor and Grichka tend to keep their private lives out of the public eye. What we know about them is that Grichka never married, while Igor has six children. His two youngest children are “descended from the kings of France but above all … from a pope (Paul III: 1468-1549).” Their mother is Amélie de Bourbon Parme, an author with roots in the Capetian dynasty, one of France’s most famous royal families.

Last year the brothers were part of the French version of the show The Masked Singer and said they had lots of fun.

Thrilled grandpa can’t wait to meet his new grandchild – realizes his daughter lied to him

0
What would really make an awesome present for Grandad this year…? Well this sort of present really can’t be planned, grandpa James Keleman finds out! Carie Elbe, from Breese Illinois, with her little newborn baby Landry, loved by all the family, mom, daddy and of course 4 year old sister, shared a wonderful video on Facebook. Grandpa, James Keleman, father of Carie, was especially pleased after visiting his new grandchild in the hospital, Carie explained in her video. Just to say that it wasn’t just because Landry was born on his granddaddy’s birthday, he also had his grandad’s name, Landry James! But, it wasn’t even just that, there was more to it than that, simply, and also that Landry was a boy, it was this that really sparked grandad’s excitement! Grandad had been surrounded by females in his life and even from a young age he remembers that he was the only boy of three, and has four daughters, and two granddaughters. Until Landry was born everyone but grandpa knew the baby was a boy, but for a special reveal, all the family kept the secret from him. Carie’s daughter didn’t reveal anything either. It was hard keeping the truth a secret, but everyone managed to do it!

This was what was written on the baby’s onesie, FYI: I’m a boy!

When grandad James saw it he was in shock, a happy shock, he couldn’t believe how well his daughter had hidden the secret from him for nine months.

“No way”…he said in the video, chuckling and calling the family “brats.”

Carie said:

“I just can’t believe we managed to pull it off”

Although her father was grateful to just be a papa again, the big news made him even happier. The prideful grandfather announced on Facebook:

“So…I’m all stoked about having another Granddaughter on my birthday…only to find out that everyone in the world kept it a secret about my first Grandson!”

“MEET LANDRY JAMES ELBE!!!!!!”

Former child actor Mason Reese today: Net worth, height, relationship, age

0

Do you remember the cute little ‘Borgasmord Kid’ with red hair and freckles who stole everyone’s hearts with his appearances in a number of commercials during the 1970’s? If you do, get ready to learn what Mason Reese is up to nowadays.

Born to parents who were heavily involved with the film industry, sweet Mason became familiar with cameras practically from the moment he entered into the world. Mason’s father worked as a theater set designer and marketing service director, while his mother was famous actress Sonia Darrin, who is probably best known for her role in The Big Sleep in which she starred alongside Humphrey Bogart.

Mason has lived in New York his entire life and attended prestigious schools, including Saint Michael’s Montessori School, housed in St. Michael’s Episcopal Church on Upper West Side.

He first caught the public’s attention with his first big commercial for Ivory Snow, a detergent company. Soon after, he became known as “the Ivory Snow Boy” and received awards.

Speaking of his son, father Bill told The Boston Globe in 1973, ”Mason can’t do every kind of commercial. He’s not a plastic person, or a pure, white Protestant boy. There are people who think he’s gorgeous, and some who think he’s homely. But he’s a very sensual and tactile child – he loves to touch and kiss – and he puts out good vibrations.”

In 1973, Mason was offered to shot a commercial for the famous brand Underwood Deviled Ham. This made Mason a star almost overnight. Soon, everyone was talking about the sweet boy with special voice who seemed to mispronounce the word “smorgasbord” in the cutest way possible.

Well, it turns out the newly-formed word “borgasmord” wasn’t something Mason invented himself. What’s most, he shared the story behind it once and recalled, “Obviously we all know the real word is, you know, smorgasbord. We all know that. And I remember that the guy who was the director, who was working with the ad agent, his name was Andy Doyle. It was Andy’s job to kind of wrangle me, you know, and get me to do what they needed right.”

“So I did not want to mispronounce the word smorgasbord because I knew the word and I wanted America to know that I was a smart kid and I knew what the real word was. So, but Andy was determined that I was going to mispronounce it. One way hook or by crook he was gonna get me to do it.

“So he took a yellow pad of paper and he wrote down 20 or 30 different words that sounded like smorgasbord. And I read threw them and I looked at the word borgasmord and I said, ‘I like this one.’ And Andy looked at me in this infinite wisdom and said, ‘Mason, you are not gonna believe this.’ I said, ‘What’s that?’ He said, ‘Borgasmord is smorgasbord in Swedish.’ Which it’s not. It’s a total lie.

“And I looked up at him and because I felt smarter than I really was, that’s the word we went with. So it really was not me, it wasn’t my imagination, it wasn’t my brilliance that came up with that. It really was this guy Andy Doyle who was a director working for the ad agency,” Mason said.

Mason started earning some serious money and offers from other brands started pouring. He went on to be part of a number of commercials for famous brands, including Post Raisin Bran, and Dunkin’ Donuts.’

At the age of 13, Mason became a household name and many considered him a celebrity. He, however, didn’t see himself that way.

”What? Who? I’m not a superstar. No — Sammy Davis, Robert Redford, Paul Newman, Dustin Hoffman, those guys, they’re big. Not me. I’m just someone who’s trying to do his little part in TV – I make this sound like a tragic soap opera. So far, I’ve been very successful, but I’m not a superstar,” he told The Orlando Sentinel in 1978.

After appearing on The Mike Douglas Show numerous times, ABC offered him several scripts for his own show, but Mason and his family found them all terrible and the project was cancelled even before it saw the light of the day.

As he grew older, the number of commercials he was part of became fewer and fewer. Eventually, the former child actor switched careers and became a restaurant entrepreneur. All of his restaurants, the Pan-Latino restaurant located in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, the Destination Bar and Grille, as well as the sports bar The Luxury Box are now closed.

When it comes to his love life, now 56-year-old Mason who’s 4ft 10in tall can’t complain. He was reported to be dating several women, including models. In 2018, he started dating model Sarah Russi who is twice younger than him. The couple received heavy criticism because of their age gap, but they claim they are happy together.

Mason said he was as surprised as everyone else when Sarah told him she wanted to get serious with him. He also said he’s aware she’s out of his league.

In an episode of Love Don’t Judge, she described him as the “most adorable person” she’s ever met.

Mason starred in the series Life Interrupted as well as the short film Whatever Happened to Mason Reese. He has a net worth of $1 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth.

Janitor is called to clean “mess” but looks down at the trash can and sees donation from school

Not many people understand that the job of sanitation workers is as important as any other job out there. Sadly, most janitors are not given the respect they deserve and are looked down on only because they are not paid as much as others. However, those who respect janitors as much as they respect the CEO are the best people of all, just like the students and the staff at the Anderson County High school in Lexington, Kentucky, USA.
YouTube
Ricky Spaulding, who makes sure the school stays clean at all times, is loved by everyone around. He’s described as caring and cheerful. However, there is something that saddens him. Namely, his son works and lives in Italy and Ricky doesn’t get to see him often. He also has a grandson that he has never met. The thing is that Ricky and his wife can’t afford a trip to Italy because they don’t make much money.
YouTube
What Ricky didn’t know is that the entire school, including all of the students and the teachers, came up with the idea to surprise him with plane tickets for the trip he was eagerly looking forward to. They managed to raise $1900.
YouTube
Once everything was ready for the big surprise, they called Ricky to the gym saying that he needed to take care of the mess they created. Instead, they presented him with the gift. When he looked down the trash can, instead of garbage, he saw the money. Needless to say, he was very grateful for the incredible act of kindness.
YouTube
Well, everyone deserves to visit their grandchildren from time to time, and Ricky definitely deserved that more than anyone. Watch the video below to see Ricky and his wife’s reactions to what everyone at Anderson County High did for them.

Wife calls husband about “man at the door” who’s noticed him and wheelchair-bound daughter

0

Not all heroes wear capes, some come in the form of caring neighbors or even strangers who happen to stumble upon a person in need of help.

Anthony Belton from High Point, North Carolina, is a father to a wheelchair-bound daughter named Almay. This means the family faces obstacles every single day. Whenever Almay wants to get out of the house, or get inside, she needs her father’s help with the stairs. “Then, basically when she gets off the bus, she has a little frown on her face, like here we go, back it up, about to go up these steps,” Anthony said of his daughter’s struggles.

Source: YouTube/ ABC News

The stairs are not accessible and she needs a helping hand most of the time, something she is not happy about because just like any other person her age she wants to be independent.

“Well it was kind of hard mostly on her, because basically she’s going up and down the steps, so basically constantly bumping and dumping down the steps, and you see her jumping and jumping. Then at the same time it’s hard on me, dealing with my back and I’m getting older, not younger,” Anthony told WSAZ.

One day, as Anthony was helping Almay get inside the house, a stranger who happened to be in the area noticed them and decided to step up big way.

Source: YouTube/ ABC News

The stranger, Joe Hill, who is the owner of Premier Waterproofing, knew he could make Almay’s life easier. All he needed to do was build a ramp.

So, the following day, he knocked on the family’s door. Almay’s mom was confused. She didn’t know who the man was or why he had parked his truck in front of their house.

Hill then introduced himself, and offered to build the ramp for free.

“‘Would you mind if I come out here and just built you a ramp for nothing?’ And he kind of got me. I kind of looked at him funny and said, ‘Yeah, there’s got to be a catch to it. Ain’t nothing for nothing. Haha,’” Anthony said of the first encounter with the man who would make a change in his daughter’s life.

Hill wasn’t joking. The following day he stopped by at Anthony’s home and built the ramp. He didn’t charge the family a single penny. It was all on him.

Source: YouTube/ ABC News

Anthony couldn’t believe that someone he had never met before would do such a generous thing. He believed that something like that could only happen in a movie. But Hill reminded everyone that humanity is still going strong.

“All I can say is nothing in the world that can put a smile on dad’s face than seeing his kids smile, especially seeing something that she’s going to enjoy. Nothing,” the grateful father said.

Hill, on the other hand, didn’t believe he did something special. “I saw a need, and I knew I could take care of it, went from there,” he said.

The best thing is that this miracle took place just around Christmas. Beautiful indeed.

Couple’s card gets repeatedly declined with cart full of kids’ presents so stranger steps up and pays for it

0

“True beauty is born through our actions and aspirations and in the kindness we offer to others,” Alek Wek.

They say Christmas is that time of the year when miracles take plays, and this story is yet another proof of that.

A man named Ben Hendley went shopping in Walmart, Canton, Texas, around Christmas in hopes of getting all he needed for the holiday. Little did he know, however, that he would witness and act of kindness unfolding just in front of his eyes.

As he headed towards the register, he heard beeping. He then noticed that the card of one couple kept getting declined.

“And this couple (passing through from Fort Worth, Texas) are trying to get their kid’s presents as they travel to their family get together (they live2 hours away). And his card gets declined. Again. And again…,” Ben posted on Facebook.

The beeping continued in the next couple of seconds. As the husband and wife started feeling anxious, the lady standing right behind them decided to step up. “You know what? It’s Christmas! I’ll pay for it,” she said.

The wife said that they couldn’t possibly accept someone to pay for their stuff because what they had in their cart cost a couple hundreds of dollars.

“Oh, no! I don’t think you know how much this is! Let me see if I can put it on my credit card,” the wife said as she gave the cashier her card.

Sadly, they all heard the bleeping once again. According to Ben’s post, it turned out that there was a problem with the card reader, but no one knew that at the time.

The woman, who was later identified as Joyce Hargrave Felton, said, “It’s a couple hundred dollars. So? God’s blessed me, so I’m going to bless you?” and paid for the couple’s things although they didn’t feel comfortable letting a complete stranger give them that much money at first. Joyce, however, assured them that it was all fine. “Hush. I don’t want to hear any more. I’ve got this,” she said.

Everyone at the store praised Joyce’s act.

Ben wanted to learn more about her and followed her outside the store. To his surprise, her license plate read, GOD SNT. Was that a sign of a Christmas miracle? Maybe someone wanted Joyce to find herself in the right place at the right time. Who knows!

Ben felt the urge to post this story on Facebook. In a short period of time, it reached a huge number of people, among which Joyce herself. Later, when media outlets reached Ben for more on what he witnessed, Joyce shared the articles and tagged Ben in each of them.

“Remember; always make a difference no matter what happens,” Joyce wrote.
