Firefighters follow retired police dog to toddlers trapped in burning house

That dogs are the best pets one can ask for is something that most of us know already. But after reading this story of the German Shepherd who helped save his family, you’ll fall in love with these loyal and loving animals even more. 

Military veteran Brent Feaser from Longwood, Florida and his next door neighbor though it was the perfect day for hanging around. Nothing spoke tragedy on that peaceful day.

Unfortunately, as the two were watching Jupiter through their telescope, they heard an explosion. In the next moment, they could see part of Brent’s house blowing up.

Unfortunately, his wife Margo and their two children aged two and four were still inside the burning place. After taking a second or two to understand what was really going on, Brent and his neighbor rushed towards the house as quickly as they could. 

The two men tried smashing the windows with the furniture that was on the porch hoping they would be able to pull Margo and the kids to safety.

They managed to get Margo out, but both her and Brent were thinking of getting inside again so that they could save their little ones.

At that moment, the firefighters arrived at the scene and got inside the burning place. The smoke made it difficult for them to navigate around the house, but then, all of a sudden, help arrived. The family dog Maxx appeared and led the rescuers to the kids’ room. 

Maxx who is a retired K-9 saved his human siblings’ life that day and he was the real hero of the story. 

Currently, all of the family members are recovering at different hospitals as they all suffered from burns and heavy smoke inhalation. They were listed in serious to critical condition but are expected to recuperate all thanks to their loving dog Maxx. 

This family is so lucky to be having such a caring dog in their life. He deserves a reward for his brave action. 

Elephants Celebrate By Splashing Around In The Water For The First Time After Being Freed From Captivity

Imagine what it must feel like to experience the water for the first time ever after a life spent in chains. Luckily, that’s something the staff at Save Elephant Foundation does for Thailand’s captive elephant population. 

These loving creatures get to be part of their natural habitat and enjoy the beauties the wild has to offer. Once freed, elephants get a second chance for a life they truly deserve. 

Kannika and Madee are two sweet souls that had to go through ordeal and spend their days in captivity. But today, they can leave that negative experience behind them and have fun in the water. 

Seeing them hanging around and splashing is the best thing you’ll see all day. Currently, they are placed at the protected natural habitat of Phuket Elephant Sanctuary. 

62-year-old can’t recognize herself after getting stunning makeover

No matter how drastic or slight, we all need a change every once in a while. Now if we feel like changing our physical appearance then we are likely to look for a professional to help us achieve what we have in mind. And who’s better at making men and women happy and satisfied with the way they look if not for the Makeover Guy. 

This time, he had a visitor from Dallas, Texas. LaDawn, was looking forward to a fresh look for her daughter’s big day and decided she should ‘give’ the job to the best of the best so she flew to Minneapolis, Minnesota, straight to the saloon of Christopher Hopkins. 

This woman shared with the Makeover Guy how she struggled with her hair all her life because of what she referred to as “the Grand Canyon” which was caused by hair growth issues and was right in the back of her head.  

Honestly, looking at her, we didn’t think she needed much change, but the final result just convinced us we don’t even know that we can elevate the way we look if we don’t try. 

LaDawn turned into a hot redhead and got bangs. It gave her whole face a completely different look. We believe she now appears at least 20 years younger, and the best thing is that she agrees. 

Her initial reaction after seeing herself in the mirror was, “Oh my goodness, who is that?” 

It’s obvious she enjoyed the whole experience to the max. Always smiling and admiring her reflection, she really deserved to feel young again.

But there was another thing she and Christopher did, and it made us all laugh. She admitted how her daughter asked her to make sure not to return “looking like a rock star.” But that’s exactly what she did. Well, it was just a cute prank, she didn’t really went home with her hair all up. 

Christopher gave her ‘temporary’ faux hawk-hair style and we could hear LaDawn shouting, “Woo hoo, Chelsea, this is for you.”

People loved it so much that they took their time to comment. 

Christopher gave her some tips on how to style her hair back home and what’s most, he took care of that ‘hole’ at the back that was giving her so much trouble by leaving it longer on the top so she can easily hide it. 

Transformations like these not only change the physical appearance of people, but they also make them feel more confident about themselves, and I guess that’s what matters most. 

As she turns in her chair, LaDawn is glowing from happiness. She loves her new and improved self and we are sure she’s going to be one of the most attractive guests at her daughter’s wedding. 

Only if we could see peoples’ reaction to LaDawn’s change. That would be awesome!

100 Hospital Workers Line Halls To Honor Late Nurse Who Donated Her Organs

Mary Desin was a nurse who devoted her whole life saving and taking care of her patients. Sadly, on June 3, 2019, she lost her life due to brain aneurysm.

The lights on the top of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania that are turned on when a donation or organ transplant is in progress shone in her honor this time. 

Even after her death, this brave woman didn’t stop spreading her kindness, this time by donating her organs. 

More than 100 colleagues and hospital employees did an amazing act to pay tribute to this special woman. As her body was being transferred to the operating room, they all lined the halls and honored her devotion to saving lives.  

Those who knew her say that this was the send-off that she truly deserved. 

One of the medical staff members shared the photo on Facebook with a message that touched the hearts of everyone who got to see it. It said:

“We turned them on yesterday to honor one of our beloved nurses, who sadly passed unexpectedly in our presence. She donated her organs to continue to help save lives, even in her passing. We had a walk for her, hallways lined with more people than I could have counted to see her off. From now on, those lights will not only be turned on when someone RECEIVES an organ, but also when someone donates, as well. It was a very emotional day yesterday, and Mary, we will never forget you or the impact you made throughout your career!”

Desin’s story spread like a wildfire and members of her family joined ABC’s Good Morning America to talk about how much her colleague’s act meant to them. The also spoke of the importance of being organ donor. 

“It was extremely emotional. Most everybody was crying. People I didn’t even know came up to me during the time and said how much they loved her and she helped them get further in their career,” said Desin’s son Matthew James. 

He added how they were surprised by the number of people who showed up to honor his late mother. He knew she was appreciated by everyone, but had no idea her impact on those around her was so huge. 

“I expected maybe 20 people from her times as an OR nurse and her current position to be there,” James said. “I didn’t expect over 100 people to be impacted by her loss.”

Donny McDowell, a nurse at the hospital and Desin’s friend said how she was one of the bravest and selfless people she’s ever met. 

“What Mary was doing was very brave. [It was incredible] to see the lives that would be changed because of Mary’s gift. The thing about Mary that I learned the most is that you always give and you keep on giving a little bit more.”

Other people took their time to share what Desin meant to them and how she affected their life.

It was mainly her former mentees who felt like expressing their gratitude for this truly special woman. 

“She was an animal lover, especially of dogs. Mary was generous to a fault, always helping anyone that crossed her path. She loved that her job as a nurse allowed her to help anyone and everyone she could,” her family said.

She now lives through the people whose lives she saved.

Owners Who Got Evicted Left Dogs Behind to Die

The following story is just another proof that not everyone deserves to own a pet. I guess that before taking one in, people should pass certain psychology tests the same way they do when babies are being adopted.

This would show whether or not someone is ready to take care of the animal. 

Frankie Floridia of the Guardians of Rescue gets allerted about neglected animals all the time. But the recent case he shared with us was a bit more disturbing from the rest of the rescue cases he and his co-workers have been involved in.

It all happened when he got a call from the neighbors of a family that got evicted recently. They said how they could listen barking coming out of the place. 

When they came at the scene, they were left in complete shock. The family just left their two pit bulls behind in the empty house. There was dirt and feces all around the poor creatures. 

The dogs were a male and a female, and whereas one of them was caged, the other was free. But both were left there to die. 

Their health condition was poor and they were in need of urgent medical help. 

One of the neighbors would throw food through the window, but that wasn’t enough for them to stay healthy or well fed. 

At first, the terrified animals refused to be approached by Floridia and his crew, but once they were outside the house they realized those people were there to save them.

“They were completely different dogs… happy, wagging their tails,” he said.

The girl was named Sky and she was adopted by a loving family shortly after her rescue took place. The boy, Max, is placed with a foster family but the chances are he’s getting a forever home too. 

We are so glad this amazingly loving pit bulls were found just on time to be saved.

Most people are fond of animals and enjoy spending time around them. Unfortunately, there are also those who fail at treating these creatures the way they deserve. As a result, very often, we hear stories of many animals being neglected or left behind by their humans, and it always makes us feel sad. 

The following story is about a gorgeous bull who spent his entire life chained to a rail. His place was way too small for making considerable movement, which sadly meant his body was sore and became fragile over time. 

Bulls are meant to run freely, and enjoy the green grass, but that’s rarely the case. 

This one, however, was lucky enough to be finally saved by a kind man. The bull’s reaction when he experiences freedom is so touching that it made millions cry. 

4-year-old girl feeds and controls 6 Pit Bulls

Although they were once considered America’s favorite breed and were widely used as nanny dogs, pit bulls are nowadays considered one of the most aggressive dogs. Unfortunately, this belief is a result of the way humans treated them throughout the years. Used as fighting dogs and forced into violence, it’s not surprising they are branded as dangerous.

A woman named Nina Wahl is a pit bull lover who wants to change the stigma attached to these otherwise loving and gentle canines. How she did it? By posting a video of her four year old niece trying to control and feed six of them. The clip went viral and thousands of people took a stand. Many said how she put the life of the girl in danger, whereas other only took the video as a definite proof that Pit Bulls are in fact amazing animals.

The little girl could be seen carrying food for the hungry dogs. They stand still and don’t move even an inch until the little lady puts the food in their bowls and counts to three before she gives them a command to start munching on their lunch.

Their discipline is incredible. Their self-control too.

The video has been seen more than 15 million times.

We guess it only speaks of the fact that dogs’ behavior depends on the way they were trained and brought up and doesn’t have to do with their breed.

Mom and Dad never had to teach their dog how to love their baby girl

We can all say how dogs are our most loyal furry pals, our best friends, and the cutest living creatures ever, but the reality is that there are no really words to describe how important and valuable they are to humans.

The family of sweet baby girl Laura knows that best. The moment they introduced their bundle of joy with their family dog Charlie the Beagle the most amazing thing happened.

They had to teach him how to help change her diaper, swing her crib, and play with her, but one thing they never had to teach him was how to love her endlessly.

Charlie makes their days and brings smile on everyone’s face. The video of him and his human sibling is so cute and touching that it melts hearts everywhere!
