Middle-Aged School Principal Joins Dance Team – Then Completely Steals the Show

When we hear the word school principal most of us think of a strict person who never laughs.

Yes, I know this profession is in the group of vocations that we stereotype, but this incredible story is here to change the way we perceive these people who are in charge of the educational institutions. 

One particular school principal, Dr. Reynolds, is a kind of person who loves being around the kids. In fact, she is always there for them and doesn’t mind going an extra mile when it comes to offering her support and help. And this time, it wasn’t any different. 

Namely, the Lake Mary High School has a step team and the whole school is proud of them. And now, as some of you may assume already, this daring principal decided to join in one of their routines. 

When the team first heard that Dr. Reynolds wanted to take part in one of their performances, they thought she was just messing with them, but once they realized she meant it for real, they were all looking forward to the outcome and were happy to have her in. 

What’s more, the whole team knew the rest of the students at the school would be pleasantly surprised. 

So, Dr. Reynolds practiced with the step team in secrecy. And even after the word that she will be dancing during the half time of the basketball match spread among the students, most were convinced it was just a rumor.

On the day of the match, students were wondering whether their favorite principal will appear at the court, but once the team started their routine and Dr. Reynolds was nowhere to be seen, everyone knew she wasn’t really dancing that day. But were they right?

In the middle of the half-time, as the team members were rearranging for a new choreography, Dr. Reynolds walked onto the court wearing the team’s outfit and all the students started cheering as loud as they could. 

All eyes were on Dr. Reynolds as she had her fists pressed together waiting for the music to be on. The routine started with the dancers moving in waves. 

Everyone was surprised as how great their principal danced. It was obvious it took her time and energy to perfect the moves as she didn’t even miss a beat. 

Students continued cheering and showing their support. And just when everyone thought this incredible woman was done, she went on to show more of her dancing talent. 

The choreography was filmed by some of the students and one uploaded it on YouTube. People went crazy over the video and praised Dr. Reynolds for being there with her students every step of the way. Many agree that we need more people like her who are able to connect with the students at a deeper level.

The performance has been seen more than 3.5 million times, and once you see it yourself you’ll understand why.

14-year-old Boy Convinces 10 Lawmakers to Spend a Day in His Wheelchair and It’s Eye-Opening

If life isn’t hard all by itself, some people face additional problems and struggle with their everyday activities because of many different reasons. 

14-year-old Alex Johnson is a boy who suffers from skeletal dysplasia, a condition that affects the growth of his skeleton. Sadly, that makes Alex wheelchair-bound.

This means he experiences challenges on a daily basis. Among the rest, Alex and other people in his position have difficulties navigating buildings with stairs, getting on and off public transport, getting through uneven terrains and tight corridors. Unfortunately, the list is endless. 

Alex’s family and friends have always been very supportive, but you know what they say, you never know what someone is going through unless you walk a mile in their shoes. Well, this time, Alex took this saying to another level and asked from some important lawmakers to “ride a mile in his wheelchair.”

This was part of the challenge Alex came up with which goes by the name “Spend a Day in My Wheelchair.” 

The reason behind this was for these people who make the laws to truly understand what people with disabilities go through each and every day. 

Alex first got in touch with Tennessee Rep. Clark Boyd who helped organize a special event at the House of Representatives. 

All the lawmakers who accepted this eighth grader’s challenge went through the day using wheelchairs provided by The Permobil Foundation. They did all their regular activities and felt what it was like to function the way disabled people do. 

At the end of the day, they all said how they experienced many challenges. 

All those things these people took for granted up until that moment now seemed more valuable. 

Many said how things like opening the door felt like such hard tasks that they realized people like Alex put extra effort for the activities we do mechanically. 

“I expected it to be difficult, but I had no idea how frustrating it could be to just simply get around. It’s really been an eye-opening experience,” Boyd said. 

Now that awareness has been raised, we hope these lawmakers, along with those from the rest of the world, will pass some more handicap-friendly legislation that would help ease the life of the wheelchair-bound people. 

We honestly hope this incredible story and Alex’s dedication to creating a better world for himself and those around him will help create more accessible places for people with disabilities. 

The Incredibly Mesmerizing Tap Routine Fred Astaire Said Was His Best With Ginger Rogers

The names of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers spark elegance, flawlessness, and unflagging energy. This incredible screen duo fitted together so perfectly that the harmony they were able to achieve is unique and unmeasured. So, it doesn’t really come as a surprise that the two are regarded one of the most beloved pairs in the history of film. 

They were first paired back in 1933 for the RKO Radio Pictures production Flying Down to Rio. 

Many agree that out of all the dance couples we know of, Fred and Ginger are the only one who were able to express so many moods of love and talent all at once. They were always equal. None of them ever tried to out stand the other in any way. 

The magic their energy and skills brought to the world can’t be compared to anything. 

Whenever they danced together, we would get the feeling that they fell for one another over and over again. 

Before they would even touch the court, they would look at each other in a way we all admired. 

Even from the start, the bond between Fred and Ginger was a special one.  

Take a look at this particular routine. Seeing Fred tapping Ginger’s chin and laugh in an adorable manner keeps winning our hearts although it’s been years since this performance took place. 

Fred admitted once in a voice over how he recalls every single dance he and Ginger had together and said their last one was the best. 

Isn’t it amazing when one gets to do for a living what they love most and what makes them happy?

A tap dance of this kind and this level of perfection takes a lot of stamina and many hours of practice, but knowing it will make you the best duo ever known is all worth it. 

The best part of all is their excitement and the smiles on their faces throughout the whole thing.

“Their last film together after a 10 year break. Still the intimacy is there in the tapping in each others space without concern or fear. In fact they act as if they relish the moment,” one person wrote. Well, we can’t agree more. 

Compared to modern times, back in the days one had to be extremely talented in order to make a name for themselves, and Fred and Ginger did exactly that. 

Tapping to the rhythm and the melody, this video is so fascinating that we can’t stop watching it. 

It’s been said how Fred’s dancing on the screen always took just a single shot. No special effects, and no need doing things twice. 

These two have lifted tap dancing to a whole new level centuries ago and are still considered to be the best of the best.

Roller Skater Glides on Court Like It’s Ice – Puts On Flawless Performance to Whitney Houston Classic

I remember how much I enjoyed rollerblading during my younger days. In fact, I loved it so much that I don’t really understand why I don’t do it any longer. It’s not only fun and relaxing, but it also makes you look really cool, don’t you think so?

Well, unlike me, some never quit doing what makes them happy, and one young lady with a very special talent named Luna Casaretto is one of them.

Her skating skills are out of this world. She spends a lot of time practicing, but it’s all worth it as she has already achieved excellency. Her moves are breathtaking and people love watching her skate. Luna’s is a well-known name in the world of rollerblade skaters, and you’ll soon learn why. 

Luna is part of the figure skating club Magma Patinaje Artistico. What is special about their performances is that instead of skating on ice, they skate on floors using rollerblades. This particular style is known as inline skating.

One video from 2014 featuring Luna’s mesmerizing moves while she skates on a well-prepared choreography to the ever lasting late Whitney Houston’s song “I Will Always Love You” is what caught many people’s attention. 

Once her name was announced and she touched the floor, everyone knew she will treat them with a performance to remember. 

As the powerful voice of Houston fills the place, Luna sits in the middle of the floor, waiting for her magic to touch the hearts of those who came to witness her elegance and skills. 

She moves slowly at the beginning and makes sure she keeps up with the rhythm. 

Next, she bends over and kicks her legs over her head and goes back to the starting position in an exquisite manner. 

The audience is on their feet and starts clapping, excited to see the whole routine. 

Luna’s moves are just flawless, and her spins and turns around the court are just breathtaking. 

Somewhere in the middle of the song, Luna does a fast-paced, one-legged spin. 

But if the audience thought she already showed all she knew, they were wrong. In the next moment, Luna skated holding one of her legs up slowly pulling it behind her back. 

As the song was coming to an end, Luna performed her final spin with a rapid speed, after which she got back in the middle of the court.

Couple Gets Life Changing News after Adopting a Baby Boy

The story of a couple, Joseph and Shanna Weight, reminds us that life is full of surprises and we can never know what awaits us around the corner. 

Ever since these two got married, they knew they wanted to be parents. What’s most, everyone who knew them would always say how the child that will enter their life would be the luckiest on Earth.

But as time passed by and the two had troubles conceiving, they visited a doctor. The news were devastating. They were infertile.

However, the Weights never lost hope of ever welcoming a child in their life, even though it would mean they will have to adopt one.

Their next step was to contact an adoption agency. But as this process is a complex one, they had to wait for a couple of years before the agency Act of Love Adoptions contacted them back. 

The couple was told how there was one teenage mother-to-be who wanted to give her child away, and Joseph and Shanna were over the moon. They couldn’t wait for their little boy to be born. 

Finally, baby Milo was welcomed into the world and into their family. 

Joseph and Shanna decided to stay in touch with Milo’s biological mother, that’s how kind these two are. 

Milo grew older when a miracle happened. Shanna discovered she was pregnant. They couldn’t believe their ears. Doctors convinced them how they can never be biological parents, but God had other plans for these two kind souls. 

The family was a happy one. They loved both their kids just equally and were certain they would never have other kids again. That’s why Joseph had a vasectomy. But another baby found it’s way into their life six years after they adopted Milo.

Namely, both Joseph and Shanna were concerned because they hadn’t heard of Milo’s biological mom in a couple of months and hoped she was doing fine. She, however, was pregnant again and didn’t want to keep this other child either. The agency contacted the Weights once again and asked them whether they wanted to take in this baby so that she could grow up next to her biological brother’s side. 

Joseph and Shanna hesitated whether they should adopt the girl or not because they already had so much on their plate taking care of two young children. 

Shanna remembers her first thought was “We can’t do this.”

But as they were discussing the situation, Milo overheard them saying his biological mother was pregnant again and that sort of sealed the deal. 

Milo really wanted his baby sister to be part of his family, and his mom and dad just couldn’t say no. They knew raising three children would take a lot of energy and money, but they also knew deep down that adopting the new baby was the right thing to do. 

“But if she was supposed to come home with us, all the other stuff doesn’t matter and it will work itself out” Shanna said. 

In February 2019, Onni Pearl was born.

Having this cute bundle of joy in the family made them even happier than before. Needles to say, Milo was the most excited of all.

Toddler interrupts a recital – His moves make the show better

Seeing your baby growing up and reaching the age of starting school and taking part in recitals and shows has to be one of the most memorable feelings ever.

Many times, when the little ones take the stage, we feel even more anxious than they do because we fear they would feel down if they mess things up.

But even if they do forget part of their routine and improvise instead, that can turn into a nice “remember the time when…” story during family get-togethers.

Well, we don’t know about you or your kids, but we certainly know that this little boy will look back on the day he took the stage and wowed the audience with a smile on his face.

He performed along with five girls dressed in a same cute outfit, but he definitely stole the show.

It wasn’t because he remembered the dance moves flawlessly, but because he was taken by the moment and came up with his own routine.

The performers are way too little to be able to dance in perfect sync, so they all move their arms in a different manner.

Well, I guess that’s what makes the whole show even more adorable to watch.

Then, at one moment, the boy steps forward and forgets all what he practiced before he took the stage. Instead, he shows unique moves and makes sure to keep up with the rhythm along the way.

Oh, boy! No stage wright or considering anyone’s expectations. He moves as though no one is watching and has a huge smile on the face the whole time.

He even forgets that this was supposed to be a tap dancing routine, so he starts bouncing instead.

At one particular moment, one of the girls bumps into him, but he continues as though nothing happened.

Needless to say, the crowd is one their feet and cheering.

Someone from the audience just knew it would be a pity if this one-of-a-kind performance was only witnessed by those in the room, so they took a video and uploaded it on YouTube.

And as we all expected, it has been seen more than a million times with people commenting how it was the best thing they’ve seen in a while.

What we all got to learn from this boy is that we should always seize the moment and take advantage of the opportunities in life that make us happy and fill our hearts with joy.

With all the responsibilities that the adult’s life brings, it’s great to be reminded once in a while what it felt like to be little children; careless and free.

Watching this happy boy dancing is a real pleasure. We hope he never loses the spark in his eyes and will always dance through everything life brings.

School District Superintendent Takes Ill Child to Hospital, Gets Arrested and Faces Charges

One of the greatest problems our country faces is the health-system which is considered to be one of the most expensive, yet least effective compared to that of other nations. 

The following story that has people’s opinions divided is just a proof of that and speaks of the sad reality that many American children are not allowed free health-care, which isn’t a case with most other countries.

It was back in July 2018 when Casey Smitherman got the job as the superintendent of the Elwood,  Indiana school district. She was glad she was given the chance, but she had no idea how hard this position would be for someone compassionate like her. 

The reality is that many of the children who attend the schools in the district where Casey works come from low-income families. 

Having this in mind, Casey couldn’t help it but take it personal and become close with some of those kids in terms of being there for them and helping them with food and clothes. 

She and her husband always went an extra mile for these students in need and would often ask from their friends to donate the clothes their children outgrow so that they could give them to the kids from the schools. 

Casey knew those children’s problems and the struggles they faced on a daily basis, and she was always there for them.

One day, she went even further beyond the duty of her job and did something that got her into trouble. A boy she was helping failed to attend some classes, so she paid him a visit wanting to make sure there wasn’t anything wrong. 

Once there, she realized the boy was ill. In fact, he didn’t feel alright, but his guardian didn’t do anything about it. 

“After making sure he had eaten, I could tell he had some of the symptoms of strep throat. As a parent, I know how serious this illness can be if left untreated,” Casey said. 

She did just the right thing checking on that student, but the problem arose when she tried taking him to the hospital. As she says, the country’s medical health-care system failed that fragile kid who was in need of help.  

The first hospital Casey took the boy to refused to see him saying he had to be there with his legal guardian. But as the parents didn’t want to offer their son any help and Casey was all by herself, she went to another hospital and said the boy was hers. 

After the check-up, the doctor prescribed the boy antibiotics and Casey paid $233 for the visit and the meds with her insurance. 

Casey was relieved she could help her student and drove him home, saying she was looking forward to seeing him back to school.

The boy was very grateful and wanted to tell everyone how the superintendent helped him. It was then that some of the parents who heard of the situation reported her to the police. Casey was charged with fraud for using her insurance for someone who wasn’t really her son.  

Casey was sure she would be asked to pay a fine, but the case was considered a severe break of the law, and it looked like she wouldn’t be let off the hook easily. 

Analyzing this case from the authorities’ side, it is true that Casey committed insurance fraud, but no one was interested to know why she did it in the first place. 

No one really knows what would have happened to that boy if he wasn’t treated for the condition as his guardians were clear they weren’t willing to take him to the hospital themselves.  

Eventually, the legal system agreed Casey to enroll a program that allows her charges to be dropped. However, she must not commit any type of crime for a year.

This all speaks of the inability of the poor people to use the health-care and that’s very sad. We are certain Casey did the right thing, although there are people who believe she shouldn’t have interfered and that she gets too attached to the students.

5-year-old Child With Autism Hugs Classmate, Causes Criminal Investigation

Even though things started moving forwards when it comes to acceptance of children with autism and their place in the society, there is still a lot that we need to learn about their needs and interests and how they perceive the world around them.

A 5-year-old boy named Nathan who has autism found himself in trouble only because he showed affection towards his classmates.

Despite his condition, Nathan has grown into a loving and caring boy. His guardian, Summery Putnam, has dedicated her life to teaching him the right values he should live by. Among the rest, she taught him to show appreciation whenever someone does something nice for him.

The thing is that Nathan does it by offering hugs and kisses. You may think that it’s very sweet of him to do that, but sadly, the school he attends, East Ridge Elementary, thinks differently.

Feeling the need to show them his love, Nathan would hug his classmates. But, instead of saying thank you or something, they made fun of him and complained that he was making them feel uncomfortable.

He couldn’t really understand why his friends laughed at him when he would offer his affection, so he wouldn’t stop hugging them even after the teacher and the rest of the staff told him not to do it any longer.

What the school did next was outrageous. Instead of reaching Summer regarding the ‘problem’ her son was causing, they filed a criminal report against Nathan with the State of Tennessee, labeling him a sexual predator.

When Summer heard of that, she was beyond angry. But no one cared to listen when she was telling them how Nathan had autism and was doing things differently.

Summer did her best to explain to her son how hugging his classmates was not allowed, although he couldn’t understand what was wrong in doing so.

Nathan’s grandma, Debi Amick, was shocked as well, so she decided to share her grandson’s story on Facebook, wondering how on Earth could a 5-year-old autistic boy be accused of sexual harassment.

Among the rest, she said, “He shouldn’t be treated like this. The kid doesn’t even understand what sex is.”

Only after his caring mom and grandma spoke up for little Nathan, the injustice was corrected.

The school admitted they had gone too far but justified their action of filing the report against Nathan by saying it was based on the school’s policy of reporting such cases to the Department of Child Services.

Thankfully, Nathan’s record that said he was a sexual predator was cleaned and he was enrolled into a special education class.

Sweet Nathan had to go through an ordeal only because he wanted to get along with his friends.

We honestly hope he would be able to forget this ‘incident’ and will show amazing performance at school.

We are glad he was given the chance to start over and be around new friends who understand him way better than those who hated his innocent hugs and kisses.
