Girl, 11, survives shooting by playing dead after ex-marine kills her family

Bryan Riley, an ex-marine now charged with four counts of first-degree murder, one count of attempted first-degree murder, and seven counts of attempted first-degree murder on a law enforcement officer, claimed that God talked to him and told him that a girl named Amber was attempting suicide.

So, just after he convinced himself that God had sent him a message, Riley approached a Florida man named Justice Gleason, who was moving the lawn, and told him about Amber. Gleason said there was no one by the name Amber who lived in the house and asked Riley to leave, not knowing that he would later return and kill almost everyone in the house.

Riley got angry with Gleason and left home. He then told his girlfriend about the incident and when she told him he couldn’t possibly speak to God, his answer was “There’s no room for doubters in my life,” as quoted by The Sun.

When his girlfriend went to bed, Riley got dressed in full body armor, took his weapon and headed to Gleason’s house at about 4:30 am. Once there, he shot Gleason’s girlfriend’s mother and went on to kill Gleason, his girlfriend Theresa Lanham, 33, and their 3-month-old baby.

Riley then turned to Gleason’s 11-year-old daughter and asked her to tell him where Amber was. When she said there was no Amber in the house, he shot her in the stomach and then proceeded in firing at her multiple times until he believed she was dead.

Riley eventually surrendered. When officers entered the house, they noticed the girl was still alive. She was rushed to the hospital and was treated for the severe gunshots she sustained. Luckily, she survived.

“She did tell some of her relatives, who told us how she did survive. She said, ‘I played dead and I prayed,'” said Sheriff Grady Judd.

When they asked the shooter why he did what he did, his answer was, “the guy on the lawnmower made me really really mad, so I decided to put an ops plan together, and you know when you put an ops plan together, you have to kill everyone.”

A GoFundMe page was set up to help the 11-year-old girl who was forced to suffer an unspeakable tragedy and lose all her family.

“There is a confirmed amount of 11 gun shot wounds most are below the waist and a broken leg. She also has some damage to her pinky finger and her big toe,” the page says. “Even through this tragedy, somehow this little girl still manages to smile.”

The bond between siblings is for life. Getting to share your dreams and childhood with someone is a gift from God, and that’s the best thing about having a brother or a sister, and if you are lucky, you’ll likely have both.

The following story, which is heartbreaking beyond words, speaks of the love and the sacrifice of one young boy who lost his life so that his brother could live.

Back in 2011, the Australian state of Queensland was hit by a devastating tidal wave which claimed the lives of several people. A woman named Donna Rice and her two sons, Jordan and Blake, were taking a ride back home when their vehicle was swept away by the flash floods. They desperately tried to get help and managed to contact the emergency services, but the water continued rising with each passing minute. As half of the car was under water, they somehow managed to get out of it to avoid drowning.

Finally, other people who found themselves at the scene rushed to help the family. One person tried saving them using a rope and just when he tried reaching 13-year-old Jordan, who couldn’t swim and was petrified of water, he could be heard saying: “Save my brother first.”

Moments later, 10-year-old Blake was taken to safety, but time ran out and Donna and Jordan drowned after they were dragged away by the waves.

John Tyson, the boys’ father, opened his heart about the tragedy in which he lost his wife and his son. “I can only imagine what was going on inside to give up his life to save his brother, even though he was petrified of water,” he told the Chronicle. “He is our little hero.”

This story which tugs at our heartstrings reached a huge number of people who learned of Jordan’s heroism.

“Being tough doesn’t mean being cool and wild. Being tough sometimes just means saying a few words quietly but forcefully by a boy who couldn’t swim, while he was drowning. Anyone can be tough when the need is greatest,” the father later told Hrtwarming.

Years after Jordan lost his life, his father received a bravery award on his son’s behalf.

Rest in peace, Jordan and Donna. You are missed by many.

Clint Eastwood’s grandson Titan looks just like his grandpa while riding horse

Clint Eastwood isn’t only a living Hollywood legend who has impacted the world of film profoundly, both as an actor and as a director, but he’s also a family man and awesome dad and granddad.

Although he’s in his 90s, Eastwood doesn’t plan on quitting what he does best, being both on and behind the screen. His latest movie, Cry Macho, will hit theaters next month. He is both the director and the star of it.

Known for his quite turbulent love life, Eastwood was married twice and has eight children. In 2019, his daughter Francesca Eastwood, 27, gave birth to her son Titan Wraith Eastwood and fans are convinced he resembles his famous grandpa so very much, especially on the photos where he rides a horse. Well, Clint Eastwood had his fair share in cowboy movies, playing tough guy, and we honestly hope this little guy will decide to follow his famous grandfather’s path once he grows old.

Along the photos of sweet Titan riding a horse, Francesca wrote: “I’m so proud of u little rider!” Well, we are certain grandpa is as proud.

On another photo showing Dirty Harry’s star holding Titan, Francesca wrote: “Best dad. Best grandfather.”

Another member of the family, among the rest, who is totally enchanted by Titan is his uncle Scott Eastwood. Scott is following into his father’s footsteps and has already been part of some major films, including Suicide Squad and The Fate of the Furious.

When his sister Francesca was pregnant, Scott said he started thinking about parenthood a lot more. “I think about how I am going to be as a father figure, as a mentor — how am I going to be?” he told People in 2018. “How am I going to present myself as someone that this kid might look up to?”

He loves being around Titan and never misses a chance to share with the world just how happy and proud he is to be the boy’s uncle. He’s sharing cute photos of the two bonding, just like the one below which he captioned: “So happy to be an uncle. Excited to teach you boy stuff Titan.”

Donald Trump slams President Biden for seeming to fall asleep during climate meeting

The 26th United Nations Climate Change conference is being held from October 31 to November 12 in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom this year. This annual event aims at assessing progress in dealing with climate change, which is something everyone should be concerned about. Twenty-five thousand delegates from 200 countries are attending, including President Joe Biden.

President Biden has demonstrated concerns regarding the climate change a number of times, slamming the previous administration led by Donald Trump for placing the issue “behind the eight ball a little bit” after pulling out of the Paris climate agreement.

Former POTUS Donald Trump didn’t stay silent. During the conference, a video of President Biden closing his eyes for over 20 seconds before an aide approached him vent viral. It was posted on Twitter by Zach Purser Brown, with The Washington Post. Biden is seen opening his eyes and clapping just as the speech finishes.

Donald Trump has raised the question of Biden’s age and health numerous times before, including during the debates and the campaign preceding the 2020 presidential elections. During the first debate, hosted by Chris Wallace, Trump interrupted Biden 128 times, and Biden ended up calling his opponent “a clown.”

Well, when it comes to Trump’s plan of running for president again in 2024, many believe that age and health might be an issue for him as well.

Speaking on MSNBC, as reported by The Hill,  former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman suggested that Trump would benefit from speaking about how he’s actually feeling. “I think, going into 2024, I’m really more concerned that Donald Trump hasn’t come forward and talked about his health,” she said.

“I don’t know if he will even be healthy enough to run in 2024, and I think he needs to come clean to the American people about where he is on that before getting into a very stressful and strenuous race for the White House,” she added.

Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, also believes that Donald’s health and age might be a problem. “Remember, he’s 75, not in good health, and there are the criminal investigations into him,” she told Business Insider. “Hopefully, something will interfere with his ability to run but, if all things are equal, he will.” 

Despite that, Donald Trump still won’t stop slamming Biden. Just recently, he said that his administration is “an embarrassment.”

“I think you have to say an F and not an F+. It would be an F,” Trump said on Justice with Judge Jeanine when asked to grade the administration. “It’s a failed administration. It’s a disaster. I’ve never seen anything like it.” 

He then added that no matter who runs the country, he wanted it to succeed because he loves America more than anything.

“I would love to see him do well,” Trump told Pirro about Biden. “I don’t think there’s ever been a greater embarrassment as an administration, and we had everything ready to go.”

Trump issued a statement regarding the ongoing Climate Change conference claiming many of the topics discussed were hoaxes.

“Even Biden couldn’t stand hearing so much about the Global Warming Hoax, the 7th biggest Hoax in America, followed closely behind by the 2020 Presidential Election Scam, Russia, Russia, Russia, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2 and, of course, the ‘No Collusion’ finding of the Mueller Report,” Trump wrote in his statement.

“Biden went to Europe saying Global Warming is his highest priority, and then promptly fell asleep, for all the world to see, at the Conference itself,” he added. “Nobody that has true enthusiasm and belief in a subject will ever fall asleep!”

Wife comes across husband’s overturned car in fatal crash with stolen vehicle

Carol Rigs of Holbrook, New York, and her daughter were driving along Southern State Parkway on Monday when they witnessed a multi-vehicle wreck. They got upset by the devastating scene, but an even bigger shock followed as the daughter recognized one of the smashed cars as her father’s.

Carol recalled the moment her daughter realized that one of the people who lost their lives in the accident was her father, Carol’s 75-year-old husband Richard Riggs.

“She said to me, ‘Oh my god, that looks like Daddy’s car.’ And she said, ‘What is the license plate number?’ And as she was reading it, she starts yelling, ‘That’s Daddy, that’s daddy!’ And there was no way for us to get over there because there was traffic blocked all the way around us,” Carol told Bronx News12.

“He was the kind of person that would have jumped out of his car, to help somebody in this situation. We lost a special man, we will never get him back,” the devastated wife added.

According to NBC New York, when the two women drove past the collided vehicles, they saw the dead body of Richard behind the wheel.

According to the police, the accident involved a white Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Range Rover, which was later determined to be stolen. These two vehicles tried passing between other two cars, a Toyota Prius and Richard’s car. As the crash took place, Richard’s car hit a tree and flipped over. He died at the scene.

The two people behind the wheel of the stolen vehicle fled the scene after getting inside the Jeep.

Richard was described as a hard-working man, a loving husband, a father of three daughters, and a grandfather of four.

His family is pleading the public to come forward with any information which would lead to tracking down the drivers of the Jeep and the Range Rover.

Rest in peace, Richard. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Man rescues stray puppy found living in an old shoe

Goran Marinkovic, an animal lover from Serbia, is one of those people who change the life of stray dogs for the better and do all in their power to find each and every one of them a loving forever home.

Well, the truth is that Goran is currently taking care of around 100 stray animals. He makes sure they are well-fed and pays for the food he provides for them out of his own pocket. The sad reality is that not many people are willing to support him in his mission to help as many strays as possible, but that doesn’t mean he’ll ever quit helping.

“I save animals that are endangered, that live on the street, and I take care of animals because I love them,” he told Bored Panda. “I feed abandoned animals on the street that are not getting food from humans and have no owners. Their numbers are constantly rising.”

Last year, as he was taking a walk, he heard strange cries coming from behind some rocks. He got curious and approached closer. The sight left him completely heartbroken. He spotted a tiny puppy in an old shoe. The poor baby was all by herself. He made sure he checked the area thoroughly in hopes of finding the puppy’s mother, but she was nowhere to be seen.

Goran knew the little one wouldn’t survive alone, so he decided to take her home and make sure she gets the food and the love she desperately needed.

Goran named the dog Coco and took care of her until he was able to find a suitable family for her. The good thing was that after he shared Coco’s story on the social media, along with the photos of her sleeping inside the show, he started receiving messages from people willing to adopt her.

Eventually, Coco ended up with a couple from Germany and is currently traveling with her new forever family.

Goran stayed in touch with Coco’s adopters and they regularly send him photos of their beautiful dog.

Coco is now a year old and has the best personality. She’s cheerful, charming, and extremely friendly.

Chick-fil-A employee jumps through window to assist customer in distress

Different people have different reactions when it comes to stressful situations. While some panic, others manage to stay calm and grounded.

Well, keeping cool in cases of emergency can be of crucial importance, especially when someone’s life is in question.

One teen named Logan Simmons, who works at the Flowery Branch Chick-fil-A, was on the job when he noticed one customer in distress. Namely, as the woman drove through the drive-thru, it was obvious she was panicking and was in need of help. Without hesitation, Logan jumped through the window and ran towards the woman.

“I just jumped out the window and ran straight down to the car,” he told Channel 2 in Atlanta. “I think it was the quickest option. It was right there and I saw the other car right there.”

As it turned out, this woman’s son was inside the car but she couldn’t get him out because he was tangled in his seat belt and was chocking.

“You could see he was turning red and losing pigmentation in his face,” Logan recalled.

He used a pocket knife in order to release the boy. Luckily, it all turned out for the best and the boy was feeling fine thanks to Logan’s quick reaction.

Although he saved a life that day, Logan didn’t brag about it. In fact, he only mentioned that to his mother some few hours after he returned home from work.

“I’m amazed he didn’t panic. As his mother, I would have panicked. I’d be running around going,  ‘Oh my gosh! What do we do?’” his mom said.

If it wasn’t for Logan and his heroic act, the boy would have probably chocked to death. Thankfully, that didn’t happen.

“I’m still kind of shocked right now myself that all this has happened,” the brave teen said when speaking of the stressful event.

Queen Elizabeth advised to rest for two more weeks after hospital visit

Being the longest-reigning monarch of the United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth has seen it all. Ever since her coronation in 1953, the Royal Family was subject to a number of scandals, one of which the divorce of Prince Charles to Princess Diana, who remained much loved individual among the Brits and people from all over the world.

In recent years, the Queen has witnessed her beloved grandson, prince Harry, stepping down from the royal duties along with his wife Meghan Markle and leaving Britain for America.

On top of that, she experienced another huge heartbreak when her husband of many years, Prince Philip, died in April 2020.

She and Prince Philip spent the last two years of his life in the comfort of their home due to the pandemic.

Recently, it was reported that Queen Elizabeth delayed her scheduled trip to Northern Ireland after doctors advised her to rest, but not much has been revealed.

Buckingham Palace announced that the Queen was hospitalized for “preliminary investigations” last week and was advised to rest for two more weeks. Otherwise, she’s in good spirits.

A report by Town&Country stated that she will continue with “light, desk-based duties,” but will avoid any commitments that might put her heath in jeopardy.

As reported by the Daily Telegraph, the Buckingham Palace’s statement read:

“Following on from their recent advice that The Queen should rest for a few days, Her Majesty’s doctors have advised that she should continue to rest for at least the next two weeks.

The doctors have advised that Her Majesty can continue to undertake light, desk-based duties during this time, including some virtual Audiences, but not to undertake any official visits. Her Majesty regrets that this means she will be unable to attend the Festival of Remembrance on Saturday, 13th November.

However, it remains The Queen’s firm intention to be present for the National Service of Remembrance on Remembrance Sunday, on 14th November.”

Next year will mark Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, a celebration to mark her 70 years of reign. It is planned for celebrations throughout the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and around the world to take place in her honor.

The plans for the celebration of the milestone have been revealed. From Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June, 2022, communities will gather together and there will be public events and numerous community activities.

We truly hope Queen Elizabeth’s health would improve and that she would be able to attend her Platinum Jubilee together with the people she served for so many years.
