88-year-old lady dances to her favorite song and puts smiles on million people’s faces

It doesn’t really matter how old someone is as long as they are young at heart.

Chelsea Feole is a young woman who had the best grandma one could ask for. Her Nana was 88 at the time the video of her dancing like she was in her twenties was taken. This adorable elderly lady made many smile with her incredible moves.

She could be seen moving to the rhythm as she leaves her home and hears the music. What’s most, she even drops her purse on the ground and many say that it might be the best thing of all.

Bill Gates, one of the world’s richest men, still washes dishes with wife Melinda every night after 26 years of marriage

Bill and Melinda Gates went on their first date some 33 years ago and they are still in love as when they first met at an Expo trade-fair dinner in New York.

In fact, both thought things between them won’t get serious as “she had boyfriends and he had Microsoft” but he asked her out in two weeks time after they came across one another at the Microsoft park. Melinda said, “That’s not spontaneous enough for me. Ask me out closer to the date,” so Bill called her later that day and asked her on a date that same evening. “Is this spontaneous enough for you?” he asked, according to the New York Times.

The couple got married in 1994 and has three children together.

They spoke of their relationship many times throughout the years and revealed that the secret to a long and happy marriage is doing things together and sharing the chores. Even after 26 years of marriage, the richest man on Earth is still doing the dishes with his wife every night.

Melinda recalls how this habit started and shared with USA Today, “One night I realized I was still in the kitchen a good 10, 15 minutes after everybody else doing the last-minute things. Sometimes in the moment my frustration or anger just comes out. So one night we stood up after dinner and people in the family started to melt away, like, off they go upstairs. So hand on my hips, I’m, like, ‘Nobody leaves the kitchen until I leave the kitchen!’”

Melinda believes in equality in life and in marriage. “I think people must think, ‘Oh well, Melinda must not really have equality with Bill.’ Actually, I have total equality with Bill. But it took a while for us to get there,” Melinda told USA Today. She adds that simple things like washing the dishes together is what marriage is truly based on and keeps two people together.

The pair is running the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which sees “equal value in all lives” and “works to reduce inequity.”

When it comes to raising kids and doing the housework, she believes women’s work is rarely appreciated and recognized.

“One thing in society we have put on women is we don’t talk about how difficult it is to raise children, how much time it takes. We don’t even talk about things like breastfeeding. We just assume women are going to go do it. It takes time and it takes energy, right? …When you add it up over their lifetime, it’s seven years of work. I don’t know about you, but I think you and I could probably go and get a couple of graduate degrees and a Ph.D. in seven years.

“Some of that’s work you want to do. It’s tender; it’s lovely. But some of it is also the mundane of doing laundry and the dishes and packing lunch boxes,” she writes in her book The Moment Of Lift.

Bill never misses an opportunity to express his love and admiration for his wife. “Happy Mother’s Day, Melinda Gates! Being a parent with you is the greatest joy of my life,” the founder of Microsoft wrote on Facebook on Mother’s Day 2017.

We have to agree that these two make an awesome couple.

Cop spots an elderly lady dancing at a parking lot, pulls over and joins in the dance

Some people are so cheerful and optimistic that they bring a ray of sunshine even during the darkest of days. Honestly, I believe one has to be born that way, because some things can’t be learned, you either have them inside or you don’t.

One such special person who brings smiles on the faces of many people every single day is 92-year-old Millie Seiver. Pretty much everyone in the neighborhood knows this sweet elderly lady and her interesting routine.

Despite her age, Millie is very active and goes for a walk almost every day. When she gets tired of walking, she simply starts dancing instead.

One of her dances was caught on the dashcam of  Sgt. Kim Lenz who was patrolling around the neighborhood.

The moment she spotted the lady, Sgt. Lenz got out of her vehicle and joined in Milie in her dance.

Needless to say, the cute video went viral in a blink of an eye. You can check it out below. We hope you will love it as much as we did.

18-year-old dies in shooting after using his body as a shield to protect girlfriend’s 10-year-old nephew

Shooting which took place on March 27 in Edgewater Park, New Jersey, resulted with two young people losing their lives.

The tragedy left two families mourning after someone opened fire from a moving vehicle towards now late Sadiel Gonzalez, 25, and Al-Tarrek “Rico” Bell, 18, while they were as well driving. In the car were also Bell’s girlfriend and her 10-year-old nephew. The boy remained injured all thanks to Bell who used his body as a shield and received the bullet himself.

Police arrived at the scene to find the bodies. So far, an investigation is still ongoing and no suspects have been identified.

Sadly, his dreams were crushed.

Jackie Santiago, the mom of the 10-year-old boy Bell saved told abc 11: “I love him, and I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever forget him ever. And I will make sure that his name lives on as the hero that he was.”

Rest in peace. Our hearts go out to the grieving families.

Safe Heaven Baby Boxes installed for babies whose parents don’t want to keep them

Whether it’s the fear at teenage mothers of being pointed at by the society, or maybe the inability of those who were raped to raise the baby of the man who harmed them, a number of moms decide to abandon their babies after they are born and the reasons why someone would ever give up on the child they carried under their heart for nine months are many. And although we believe that’s sad, heartbreaking, and probably the most cruel thing one can ever do, who are we to judge?

“The mailbox” system which has been introduced in Belgium recently, but has been functioning in the United States since 2016, allows mothers to leave their babies at the so called “mailboxes,” which are safe places, instead of placing them somewhere where the chances of them dying are high.

So, how do these baby boxes function? They are placed next to safe heavens. When a mom, or another relative, decides to abandon the baby, they open the door and place the little one in the crib inside the box. They also have the chance to leave an item in case they change their mind and want their baby back in the few days after the abandonment, for easy recognition of the little one.

The moment the door closes, a silent alarm alerts the authorities that there is a baby inside a box and a doctor arrives in less than five minutes.

Although child abandonment is illegal, those giving their babies at safe heavens or these mailboxes are not charged.

The idea of introducing these “mailboxes” to the United States was presented by a woman named Mónica Kelsey, who was abandoned right after birth herself. She is the founder of Safe Haven Baby Boxes. “Baby Boxes will be placed in Safe Haven locations and will allow a woman to surrender her unwanted newborn under the Safe Haven Law by placing her newborn in an electronically monitored Safe Haven Baby Box (…) These women are telling us that they want complete anonymity and Safe Haven Baby Boxes will ensure that this happens,” the website of the organization says.

Further, they say that ever since the system had been installed, four babies were placed inside the baby boxes. Below is a photo of the second baby who was surrendered.

However, not everyone believes these baby boxes are of great use. As we’ve mentioned already, the “mailboxes” were introduced in Belgium, and the former mayor of Brussels, Pierre Muylle, argued that these boxes would encourage more mothers to abandon their babies.

The NGO Corvia, on the other hand, fought for three years before they managed to get a yes from the authorities to install the baby boxes, according to Euroweeklynews. They believe that those abandoning their babies have already made up their minds, and these boxes will only allow them to surrender their babies somewhere safe.

Horse considered too wild to handle was about to be shot, but then one man came and gave him a second chance

Horses are considered gentle and elegant creatures, but are they all like that?

This is one of the craziest stories about friendship that we have ever stumbled upon, and it involves a horse named Max and a man named Michael.

As it turned out, Max was part of a farm, but he had always acted like a wild horse. He would never let anyone go near him or touch him. And yes, no trainer could work with him. The farm’s owner admitted that he planned on killing Max because he was way too wild and way too aggressive to handle.

However, one day, it all changed after Michael visited the farm where Max resided. To everyone’s surprise, Max let Michael closer. He didn’t mind this man petting him, and it was a real miracle.

The two bonded and spent a few days together. Unfortunately, one day, Max got distracted by a horsefly and kicked Michael by accident. Michael almost lost his life. He was rushed to the hospital where he was treated for the injuries he sustained. The medical bills were $175,000.

However, despite his condition, during the stay at the hospital there was one thing that Michael couldn’t stop thinking about; Max.

If you want to see how the story ends, check out the video below. A little hint; these two became best of friends.

During her trip to Bosnia, her last of that kind, Princess Diana comforted a grieving mother crying over her son’s grave

There are plenty of stories that testify of the greatness of people’s favorite and most loved princess, late Lady Di.

This incredible woman may be gone, but her legacy, her love for her people, and the kindness she spread wherever she went will live in our memories forever.

Being a royal didn’t prevent Princess Diana from spending time among the people listening to their stories and problems and going above and beyond to ease their lives. It isn’t surprising that she was known as The People’s Princess.

In the HBO documentary titled “Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy,” which was released almost 20 years after her tragic death that shook the world and left millions mourning, Jerry White, who accompanied the Princess together with Ken Rutherford on a trip to Sarajevo, Bosnia just weeks after her death, speaks of an incredibly touching encounter between Lady Di and a grieving mother who lost her son in the war.

The purpose of the trip was to raise awareness concerning landmines and to meet with some of the people affected by landmines.

White recalled that a visit of a cemetery wasn’t planned, but Princess Diana wanted one.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, White shared what happened on the last day of their visit.

“The image of her in a cemetery in Sarajevo, on the last day of our three-day trip [still haunts me]. It wasn’t planned. It was never on the itinerary. But Diana told me three times, ‘I can’t get this picture of me in a cemetery out of my mind.’

“She asked me if there was a cemetery nearby, as it was something we should visit. ‘Jerry, I have this feeling, this image of me in a cemetery, it’s strange.’ We were running late for a final reception, and there was no room for this detour, but Princess Diana seemed adamant, mysteriously.

“So, we drove out of the way to the former Olympic stadium that had become a massive graveyard for those killed during the war. I watched as Diana took her place among hundreds of tombstones. It was eerie, now that I reflect on it. She walked slowly, among tombstones and even yellow rose bushes.

“She met a Bosnian mother tending to the grave of her son, grieving visibly. Diana didn’t speak Bosnian, and this mother didn’t know English. So, they just embraced. So intimately, so physical, so emotional, mother-to-mother.”

Princess Diana lost her life only a few weeks after that trip. “After her death in Paris only weeks later, I came to wonder whether the Princess intuited her own death, her burial. I don’t know, but maybe, psychically, intuitively, Diana sensed she was going to die. It still gives me chills when I recall this powerful, unscripted, unplanned moment, somehow prescient.”

Our Princess’ heart was pure. She was the kindest and the most humble person that has ever walked this Earth. We miss her each and every day.

Goodwill employee finds $42,000 wrapped in a sweater, returns the money to the owner

What would you do if you found a huge amount of money? Would you keep it for yourself, or try to locate the person it belongs to and return it? Different people would do different things if found in a situation like this, but for an employee at Goodwill in Norman, Oklahoma, not returning the money was never an option. She didn’t even hesitate a bit when she decided to report that she found $42,000 wrapped in two sweaters donated to the store.

Speaking to Fox 13, Andrea Lessing explained that she noticed something rectangular while stocking the clothes. At first, she believed it was a book, but moments later, she noticed it was money, and it was a lot of it.

“I never expected anything like this to happen to me of all people,” she said. “To me, it was just another normal day at work. I was in the back sorting. I never expected to come across $42,000.”

As she believes in karma, Andrea told the place’s manager about her discovery and they managed to track the owner of the money thanks to the information he left when donating those sweaters.

“I made the right decision, and I did the right thing,” Andrea said.

When the money was returned to the rightful owner, he was touched by the act. And as a reward for Andrea’s integrity, he gave her $1,000.

“I just want to say thank you because he was a blessing,” Andrea said of the cash reward. “I thought I blessed him, but he turned right around and blessed me. He restored my faith that there are really good people out there even though this pandemic. We don’t know their situation so it’s better to just be kind.”

The CEO of Goodwill Industries of Central Oklahoma commented Andrea’s act and said: “The actions of Andrea and our Goodwill organization are real-life examples of one of our core values: integrity. Andrea showed integrity when she turned in the money and Goodwill showed its integrity as an organization by tracing the donors so we could return the money. Andrea could have kept the money and Goodwill could have kept the money, but integrity is doing the right thing and it’s a core value we strive to live out every day.”
