During a time of grief, when a man lost his loving father, his step-mom and her four adult children appeared at the funeral wearing white from head to toe.
The moment they entered the room, all eyes were on them. It was an unusual choice of attire for such a somber occasion. They were dressed as though they were attending a summer party, not the funeral of the man who gave them everything.
The man who shared the story said he approached his step-mom and asked her what she was thinking. She, however, being sassy as she has always been, waved dismissively and said that she and her children were just following along with her now late husband’s final wish.
Listening to her, the man was surprised. Why would his father want someone wearing white on his funeral?
He was a witty man. Was he having something on his mind before he passed away? Or, his step-mom Vivian was trying to prove she was now in charge of the business and all the assets. Who knew. But the man was overcome with grief and couldn’t pay much thought to Vivian and her behavior.
Before the service began, Vivian and her kids took the seats at the front row. Instead of looking sad, they all had tiny smiles on their faces.
At that moment, Joe, the best friend of the deceased, started reading a letter. Needless to say, the words he uttered shocked everyone.
“Throughout my illness, my ex-wife Martha was by my side, whereas Vivian and her kids only showed up when they needed something,” the letter read. Further, Joe revealed:”My financial advisor uncovered that Vivian and her children were stealing money from me.” The room filled with shocked whispers as Vivian’s face went pale. “I asked them to wear white so everyone could see them for who they truly are.”
Vivian and her children stormed out of the place, and their exit was a relief for the rest of the people who were there to honor the man’s father.
During the rest of the service, the attendees shared their personal stories about the late man’s life. And his son commented, “Dad always knew how to pick his moments.”

Maison Vallance of Tennessee wanted to comply to his mom’s wish of sending her a photo of his girlfriend, Madison, wearing the blouse she bought her.
Madison was as happy to pose and Maison sent his mom the photo. But he found it so cute that he decided to share it on his social media too, not realizing there was a detail in the background that he would wanted not to expose to his followers.
“I took this picture to let my Momma know I found the shirt she got me, but Meghan is too pretty not to post it,” he wrote.
He was delighted with the photo he had taken until one of his female friends brought up the “detail” that made Maison regret not looking at the photo more carefully before sharing it with everyone online.
If you examine the photo more closely you’ll notice crimson ropes slung across the headboard behind Meghan’s head.
Well, the thought of his mother seeing those ropes in the background terrified Maison.
Once he realized his honest “mistake,” Maison decided to get the best out of the situation and joked about it by posting a fun tweet that brought a lot of laughter at his followers.
The good thing is that Maison’s family was quite humorous about the photo and the ropes that are very likely utilized for activities akin to those in 50 Shades of Grey.

The good night sleep is crucial for proper body function. According to the School of Public Health, “sleep is essential to every process in the body, affecting our physical and mental functioning the next day, our ability to fight disease and develop immunity, and our metabolism and chronic disease risk. Sleep is truly interdisciplinary because it touches every aspect of health.”
Sleep deprivation, however, occurs more often than we think. A number of people experience problems falling asleep, a condition known as a sleep disorder or insomnia.
So what interrupts our sleep?
For one, it is definitely the stress that comes with our daily life.
We spend around 33% of our life sleeping and we should do all in our power not to throw our sleep out of its cycle.
The sleep is triggered by the hormone melatonin, the main sleep hormone which is produced by the body internally. Now since the body produces melatonin internally it is important to support the body in doing this, naturally.
What we should have in mind, is that melatonin is usually produced at around 9 p.m. because the brain gives the body signals that it is night and time for a good night sleep.
Sometimes, we disturb this process by getting exposed to bright lights during the night, such as spending time on our phones right before sleep.
Receiving these lights, we trick the brain into thinking that it is still daytime. By turning down the lights, and avoiding bright white (or blue, or green) lights at night we remind our body that it’s time to wind down.
Taking melatonin supplements gives the brain information that our body has already produced the hormone, and as a result, it won’t produce more.
In a long term, this becomes an issue because as much supplements we take, the less the body will produce it and would eventually find it hard to produce enough melatonin for us to have a quality sleep. In other words, overusing melatonin supplements can make us dependent on them.
Instead of turning to supplements when experiencing issues with our sleeping, we should use natural ingredients like herbs, flowers or other calming aids such as magnesium. This, however, doesn’t mean that we should avoid the supplements at all cause. On the contrary, they can be useful if used with caution.
For example, melatonin supplements can come in handy while travelling and changing time zones.
Certain foods have in them naturally occurring melatonin and their consumption can enhance our sleeping. Among them are pistachios, tart cherries, fatty fish, rice, goji berries, oats and mushrooms.
Waking up several times throughout the night to use the bathroom is yet another reason for sleep disturbance.
In order to completely prevent this, or at least reduce it, limit the liquids intake before going to bed.
Caffeine and alcohol intake, especially in large amounts, can affect sleep.
Having coffee after 2 pm should be avoided because the caffeine stays in our system long and keeps us awake. Alcohol on the other hand is believed to make people fall asleep faster, but it hugely impacts your REM sleep, which leads to multiple wake-ups during the night.

As she was placing the last dish on the dining table and asked her sweet 6-year-old daughter to join in, a woman named Angela, a single mom of Penny and two fur babies, a dog and a cat, heard a loud noise of her living room window shattering into a million pieces. The glass shattered all over the place and on the food she put so much effort in preparing.
Penny trembled with fear and kept asking what happened. The baseball nearly hit her in the head. It flew less than an inch away.
Angela took her daughter in her arms, trying to comfort her, but she knew she needed to confront the culprit behind the act.

During the last couple of months, their first door neighbor’s son discovered baseball and the entire neighborhood turned into a practice pitch ever since with balls flying all over the place. The 15-year-old had previously hit the elderly neighbor who needed to be taken to the emergency room. Mrs. Harrison was yet another of the boy’s “victims.” While plucking weed, one of the balls hit her so hard that she needed minutes to figure out where that harsh blow came from.
In fact, most of the neighbors were forced to place wooden planks on their windows in order to prevent them to get broken by the boy whose father was filthy rich and let his son do whatever he pleased.

Because of his power and influence, none of the neighbors have addressed him about the problems his son was causing.
They were petrified of him.
But Angela had it enough. She knew just how important it was for young children and teenagers to be involved with sports, but this boy acted as though he owned the entire neighborhood, so she decided to act.

With the ball in her hand, which was all covered in blueberry pie where it landed, she told her neighbor about what had happened and that his son broke her window and nearly hit her daughter in the head.
Looking at her as though he was looking at a peasant, he said she shouldn’t be that certain it was his son who did the damage because she didn’t have any proof.
He refused to apologize and to pay for the window repair, telling her to go away because he had a birthday party to organize. What’s most, he threatened to call the police on her for trespassing. As Angela turned around ready to head home, he turned on the sprinkles and made her all wet.
Sadly, there was nothing she could do. That man was horrendous. All he cared about was himself.

That evening guests started to arrive at his place. His birthday party seemed to be spot on, with a band, disco balls, and all sort of food brought by two different catering companies.
As Angela looked through what was left from her window, she noticed an unusual sight.
A group of young men wearing jerseys and having footballs in their hands got in front of the pretentious neighbor’s home, made a line and started shooting the balls towards the house. As windows shattered, the guests could be heard screaming in shock.
The young men then left, leaving the neighbor furious. He started screaming and running towards them, but they were young and quite faster than him.

The next morning, he appeared at Angela’s doorstep. He started knocking on her door forcefully, demanding her to get outside.
“What’s wrong,” she asked with a calm voice. “Don’t pretend like you don’t knot. It was you who ruined by party,” he started accusing her.
“But do you have proof it was me?” Angela said, using his exact words.
He left furious.

A couple of hours later, Mrs. Harrison stopped by Angela’s place and asked her if she had the chance to enjoy the sight of their neighbor’s party being ruined. Angela was shocked. “Mrs. Harrison, was that you who planned all that?”

21-year-old Kara Welsh, a Wisconsin-Whitewater gymnast who won an individual title on the vault in 2023, was found dead following a fatal shooting that took place at her off-campus home, about a block away from the university campus.
When they arrived at the scene, the police found the suspect, whom they believe Welsh knew and who was later identified by her friends as her boyfriend, as per the New York Post.
“Also present in the apartment was a 23-year-old male who was known to the deceased female,” the statement released by the police said.
“Through investigation, it was determined that leading up to the shooting, an altercation had occurred between the two.”
The investigation is ongoing, and as per another statement by the officials, the 23-year-old man was arrested and charged with first-degree intentional homicide, endangering safety by the use of a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct while armed. His bail was set at $1 million, with the judge describing him as a “significant flight risk.”
Welsh was a prominent member of the college’s gymnastics team and called the “Phenom on the Vault.”
Her friends are still in disbelief and are left utterly heartbroken.
“Absolutely heartbreaking to receive a phone call like this one. Kara, you deserved the world and more,” Welsh’s friend Brooks, who in her earlier years trained with Welsh at the Aspire Gymnastics Academy, said. “Wish I could just see you one more time. Wish I could laugh with you just one more time. Wish I could hug you one more time.”
The Aspire Gymnastics Academy paid tribute to the young star with a touching post and photos of Welsh.
“As Kara grew, so did Aspire. She was a constant in a sport that is filled with ups and downs. She was full of life and full of personality,” the training center shared. “Kara had a way of communicating through facial expressions that was second to none. Aspire lost a piece of its heart today. Kara, we love you.”

In a statement, Corey King, chancellor at UWW, called Welsh “a standout member of the Warhawk gymnastics team,” adding that “news of Kara’s death is heartbreaking for our close-knit university community.”
A friend of Welsh wrote, “I hate that evil touched this sweet girl’s life. The Welsh girls showed us how to be gym sisters but so much more. Kara was all heart. The loss is unfathomable.”

“Kara had a unique ability to bring joy to any person she crossed paths with, always putting a smile on people’s faces with her sense of humor, unwavering support and sweet disposition,” it read.
“Kara, 21 years old, was excited to be in her rising senior year as a gymnast at UW-Whitewater which was abruptly cut short on August 30th, by a heartless act of violence.”

After 37 years of marriage, one husband decided he had it enough of his wife because he got involved with his much younger secretary. He told his wife it was over and that he wanted to divorce her.
His new girlfriend expressed her desire to live in the house he shared with his soon-to-be ex-wife so the man and his lawyer did all in their power to keep the house.
The poor wife was told she only had three days to leave the place.
She was heartbroken because that house was her home for nearly four decades.
On the first day, she packed all her stuff inside of a pile of boxes. The next day, she enjoyed the beauty of her home, recalling all the cherished memories she had from that place; the renovations, how she picked most of the furniture and every detail carefully, and how much time of her days she had spent keeping the place spotless.

On the third day, she decided to treat herself with a nice lunch in the garden and enjoy the view of her stunning flowers for one last time.
After she finished eating, just as she was about to leave the place, she took some leftover shrimps and filled every curtain pod with it.
When her husband’s girlfriend moved in, everything seemed perfect during the first couple of days.
However, after some time, they started noticing awful smell spreading all around the house.
Having no idea where that highly unpleasant odor was coming from, they did deep cleaned and washed everything they could think of. They checked all the vents to make sure there were no dead mice and scrubbed every carpet in the house. They also installed air purifiers everywhere.
As the smell wouldn’t go away, they hired a pest control company was hired to set up various traps to eliminate any insects and pests, but to no avail.
After a while, no one wanted to get near the house, neither their family nor their friends. Contractors didn’t want to work in the house and the housekeeper quit.
Not knowing what to do, they decided to sell the place, but that turned out to be easier said than done. No customer wanted a smelly place, so they seemed to be left with house that was of no use.
Eventually, the man decided to call his ex-wife and offer her to buy her former home she loved so much at a very low price. When she agreed, he felt like he tricked her and went to an expensive restaurant to celebrate his “victory” with his girlfriend.
When they moved, they took all the furniture to their new home, and that included the curtain pods.

Actress Ann-Margret and her late husband, actor Roger Smith, shared love larger than life.
Before she met him, the Swedish-born actress and singer dated ‘The King of Rock & Roll,’ Elvis Presley, but it was Smith who stole her heart. The two first met during the 1960’s and started dating in 1965, which eventually led to a union that lasted a lifetime, with Ann-Margret saying that marrying Smith has been the greatest accomplishment in her life.
Opening her heart to Closer Weekly, the Bye Bye Birdie star recalled the time she and Smith went on their first date and how she immediately knew he was her soulmate.

Smith, who was considered Hollywood heartthrob loved by many women, said during an occasion that winning Ann-Margret’s heart wasn’t as easy as with the rest of the women he had been with.
“Every other woman I met was falling all over me,” he remembered. “But this innocent, fresh-faced beauty only spoke to me when I spoke to her and the rest of the time ignored me.”
One time, he invited her to one of his performances at a San Francisco club and had a plan to fascinate her with his motorbike because he knew she was a passionate motorcycle enthusiast who owned several motorbikes.

In 1980, Smith was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis, an incurable neuromuscular disease, that limited his ability to walk. Later, he went into remission and was again able to support her and see her being under the limelight again with her Las Vegas shows.
Sadly, Smith passed away in 2017 at the age of 84. Ann-Margret remained his caretaker until his last day.
She was left heartbroken. “When I look back at my life, I am most proud of my marriage,” Ann-Margret told Closer Weekly. “We both wanted it to work. And it did work. We were together night and day. We loved each other and we were always in each other’s corner.”

His family, including his father and his brother, congratulated him on the joyous occasion with posts on the social media, which marked the first public message for Harry by the British royals since 2021.
“Wishing The Duke of Sussex a very happy 40th birthday today!” the post by The Royal Family’s X account read. Along with the message, they included a photo of the Prince smiling and added a cake emoji.
The Prince and Princess of Wales re-posted the message writing: “Wishing a Happy 40th Birthday to The Duke of Sussex!”
Many saw this as a positive sign towards improving the relationship between Harry and his family, especially his brother William.
Sadly, the strong bond the two brothers once shared has now been strained.
Ever since Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal duties and spoke about the royals and the things that took place behind closed doors in the infamous Oprah interview, in which they accused a senior royal of questioning the skin of then unborn Archie, the relationship between them and the rest of the members of the Firm sort of shattered.

After everything that has taken place during the four years since Harry and Meghan settled in The States, including the publishing of Harry’s all-tell memoir Spare and the Netflix documentary that revealed details about the royals and in which no one was “spared,” Harry reached out to his father following the revelation of his cancer diagnosis.
It was reported that it was King Charles himself who disclosed his condition with his younger son who then traveled to Britain to visit his father but was only given around 30 minutes to spend with him.
When Kate’s cancer diagnosis was made public, Harry and Meghan reached out to her and showed their support.

In fact, Harry and Kate have always been very close. From the moment they first met, they got along, and William was very happy that his girlfriend and his brother expressed mutual fondness for one another.

In his book, Harry recalled meeting Kate.
“I liked his new girlfriend. She was carefree, sweet, kind. She’d done a gap year in Florence, knew about photography, art. And clothes. She loved clothes,” Harry recalled.
He then praised her humor, explaining that he “liked seeing Kate laugh.”
“Better yet, I liked making her laugh,” Harry added. “And I was quite good at it. My transparently silly side connected with her heavily disguised silly side.
“I loved my new sister-in-law,” Harry wrote. “I felt she was more sister than in-law, the sister I’ve never had and always wanted, and I was pleased that she’d forever be standing by Willy’s side. Harry was said to have celebrated his 40th birthday with his wife and children as well as some close friends.
“I was anxious about 30, I’m excited about 40,” Harry told BBC ahead of his birthday.
“Becoming a father of two incredibly kind and funny kids has given me a fresh perspective on life, as well as sharpening my focus in all my work,” the prince said in a statement released by his spokesperson.
The Duke added: “Being a dad is one of life’s greatest joys and has only made me more driven and more committed to making this world a better place.”
However, in the past, when he was still living in Britain, he always celebrated his birthday with his family, including William and Kate.

On the occasion of him turning 30, the then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had planned an intimate dinner for Harry, inviting his friends.
At the time, Kate was pregnant with Princess Charlotte and experienced morning sickness thus wasn’t able to attend the dinner. Not wanting to celebrate without his sister-in-law, Harry allegedly canceled the dinner altogether.
“Harry was in no doubt that the party should be postponed, even though 30 is an important milestone. Kate had been very involved in organising Harry’s party, and once she fell ill he felt it wrong to let the event go ahead,” a source told theMirror.
He only celebrated his birthday when Kate was able to attend it.

According to royal experts, it was Kate who persuaded her husband to honor Harry for his 40th birthday on the social media.
“I don’t think this almost insignificant gesture signals the start of a reconciliation, but it is an unexpected twist,” Jennie Bond wrote.
“Landmark birthdays are often a time for taking a look at your life. This time it seems to be William who has been doing some re-evaluation. My gut feeling is that Catherine was influential in this slight softening of her husband’s implacable stand. In the film she made about the end of her chemotherapy, she told how cancer had given her a new perspective.”
Bond added that Kate Middleton could’ve “persuaded” William into thinking that “life is too short for grudges.” However, she stated that Harry and his brother’s relationship is “almost irretrievable.”

Bill Hayes, a pivotal figure of day-time television passed away at the age of 98.
Hayes was probably best known for his portrayal of Doug Williams on Days of Our Lives since 1970, appearing in over 2,100 episodes of the show. The role of the former con artist-turned-lounge singer became one of the longest-running characters in the show’s history.

Hayes was born in Harvey, Illinois, in 1925. Before becoming an actor, he started a career of a musician and a performer, reaching a Billboard chart-topping hit with The Ballad of Davy Crockett in 1955.
In 1953, Hayes had his Broadway debut in Me and Juliet and over the course of a decade he appeared in a number of productions.
By 1970, Hayes, a divorced father of five, was hoping to land a role closer to home when he joined the cast of Days of Our Lives, a decision that would define his career and endear him to millions of viewers.

It was on set that he met the great love of his life, actress Susan Seaforth, who played Julie Williams. Their on-screen chemistry translated into real life and the two tied the knot in 1974. They stayed together until Hayes’ passing.
Speaking of the instant connection they felt when they laid eyes on each other, Seaforth once said, “I’d seen enough to know that he was special.” Others could also see their unexplained connection. “We had a scene together shortly after meeting, and the head writer saw something going on between the two of us, just two people looking at each other, and he threw out the other plot lines he had for our characters,” she added.

Hayes and Seaforth Hayes were both honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards at the 2018 Daytime Emmys for their enduring contributions to television. The couple’s acceptance speech was heartfelt, with Bill expressing gratitude for the fans who considered them part of their own lives.

Honoring Hayes, a representative for the Peacock series told The Times in a statement, “It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved Bill Hayes. One of the longest running characters on ‘Days of our Lives,’ Bill originated the role of Doug Williams in 1970 and portrayed him continuously throughout his life. He and his wife, Susan Seaforth Hayes, remained the foundation of the Williams-Horton family spanning more than 50 years.”
“I have known Bill for most of my life and he embodied the heart and soul of ‘Days of Our Lives,'” executive producer Ken Corday said in a statement. “Although we are grieving and will miss him, Bill’s indelible legacy will live on in our hearts and the stories we tell, both on and off the screen.”

In addition to his iconic role on Days of Our Lives, Bill Hayes had other notable television appearances, including roles in Matlock and Frasier. During the 1950s and 60s, he featured in TV adaptations of popular musicals such as Kiss Me, Kate and Once Upon a Mattress. He also portrayed John Brooks in the 1958 TV movie Little Women.
The cause of Hayes’ death hasn’t been disclosed with the public.

Mia and her mom had always been extremely close. They shared their secrets, their troubles and happiness, and were there for one another whenever needed.
One day, Mia’s mom called her daughter and told her she would be renovating the house, something she did every now and then because she was a huge lover of making both slight and big changes to her home, and told Mia not to stop by in the few months to come.
As days gone by, Mia’s mom called less and less, and even when she did, she sounded awkwardly distant. Mia could sense something wasn’t right, but she was too busy with her work and believed her mom was just tired because of the renovations in her home.
However, that strange feeling that something off was going on was getting stronger and stronger, and one day, Mia found herself in her car, heading to her mom’s place.

Once there, she was greeted by a sight she has never witnessed before. The grass in the garden was overgrown. Her mom, the greatest enthusiast about flowers and gardening would never let her garden look like that.
Mia felt a punch in her gut. Was she late? Was her mom in trouble?
She quickly ran towards the house and noticed the door was unlocked, yet another red flag as her mom never left the door open.
Inside, there was no sign of any renovations. The place was as spotless as ever. No paint colors, no brushes, and no dust.

Mia started calling her mom’s name, but there was no answer. She then went upstairs and straight to her mom’s room. There, she saw the most fragile human being she has ever seen. Her mom was in the bed, but she didn’t resemble her former self.
Her once long hair was gone; her red cheeks turned pale, and she had no strength to get out of the bed. Having trouble speaking as her lips were as dry as cracked parchment, she barely managed to call Mia’s name.

“Oh, honey. I didn’t want you to find out this way,” she muttered. Mia was shocked. “Mom, what’s wrong?” she asked.
“I have cancer. I was receiving chemo for the last couple of months, I didn’t want to tell you because I believed I could handle it myself. You know, you were working hard for your promotion, and I…” she said as tears started falling down her face.

“I was always your rock, and I didn’t want you to see me like this…”
Mia started crying. She felt crushed for her mother’s condition and guilt filled her heart for not visiting her mom sooner, when she first suspected something wasn’t right.
But she couldn’t turn back the time.
Mia took her mom’s hand and embraced her in her arms, assuring her that she was now there and that things were going to be fine. She kept reminding her mom how important she was to her, and how she was who she was because of her. As she kissed her mom’s hands and forehead over and over again, reminding her how much she loved her, her mom slipped away. All of a sudden, she was gone.

Mia stayed there long, trying to hold onto the warmth of her and her mom’s last hug as sobs racked her body.
This story serves as a reminder to always keep in touch with those we love and care for, no matter how busy our schedules are, and to trust our gut feeling if it tells us that something isn’t right.

Tito Jackson, the original member of Jackson 5 and brother of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, died aged 70.
The news of his sudden passing was first announced by ET,who cited family friend and former Jackson family manager Steve Manning saying that Tito likely suffered a heart attack while driving to New Mexico from Oklahoma.

Recently, Tito and the rest of the members of the band traveled to Munich, Germany, for a performance. Back then, Tito posted a photo of a memorial for Michael in Munich and paid tribute to his late brother who passed away in 2009.
“Before our show in Munich, my brothers Jackie, Marlon, and I visited the beautiful memorial dedicated to our beloved Michael Jackson,” Tito captioned the photo. “We’re deeply grateful for this special place that honors not only his memory but also our shared legacy. Thank you for keeping his spirit alive.”
The news of Tito’s passing was later confirmed by his three sons, Taj, Taryll and TJ Jackson, who were themselves an R’n’B/pop trio, 3T, in the 1990s.
“We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken,” they wrote on Instagram. “Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being.”
They continued: “He will be missed tremendously. It will forever be ‘Tito Time’ for us.
“Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is ‘Love One Another.’ We love you Pops,” they concluded the post honoring their father.
Jackson 5, formed in 1964, has sold more than 150 million records worldwide and produced several No. 1 hits in the 1970s including ABC, I Want You Back and I’ll Be There.
In 1980, the famous siblings were presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and in 1997, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. As part of the group, Tito provided the background vocals and played the guitar.
Tito was married to Dee Dee Jackson.

Ever since Michael’s passing, Tito has been an advocate for continuing his legacy, honoring his late brother whenever possible.
Back in August, 2024, Tito told the Mirror,“The world was not kind to Michael at all. I don’t know why. I would always say if we didn’t have him, we sure would miss him. His death was such a major tragedy.”
Tito, who loved Michael, added, “The world definitely missed out on a lot of goodness from him, because he wasn’t just a musician or an artist, he was a loving person. He loved to give.”
Despite his age, Tito didn’t plan on retiring from performing with his band. “I plan to be like BB King – play music until I die. Like Frank Sinatra or Sammy Davis Jr or Dean Martin. It’s fun, it’s peace of mind, it’s pleasure. I think, for an artist, music extends their lives,” he said in an interview with Mirror.

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel are considered to be one of the most beloved Hollywood couples. Their love story dates way back in the day and although they have never tied the knot, their relationship is stronger and stronger with each passing day.
However, before Russell, Hawn was married to the father of her children Kate and Oliver, musician Bill Hudson. The two split after some time and he practically abandoned his son and daughter, and it is something neither Kate nor Oliver would ever be able to put behind them.
Over the years, they both acknowledged Russel as the father figure in their life and even consider him a real dad.
“He was around when [my brother, Oliver Hudson, and I] were young, it sort of teetered out,” famous actress Kate Hudson told Closer Weekly, speaking about her estranged father. Further, she pointed to him as the reason why the relationships in her own life were as they were. “I think that’s like the age-old psychological core issue for any situation. Anybody who has had an experience with a parent that is absent, it’s going to manifest.”

Russell, unlike Bill, has always been there for Hawn’s children whom he considers his own, and Kate and Oliver never miss the chance to thank him for everything he has done for them over the years.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, as quoted by HuffPost, Kate said: “[Bill Hudson] doesn’t know me from a hole in the wall. But I don’t care. I have a dad [Russell]. The bottom line is, you call your kids on their f**king birthday. I’m glad I had a dad who was there on my birthday.”
Bill tried to avoid speaking of his relationship with his children, but it was an Instagram post by his son, actor Oliver Hudson, that made him give an interview to The Daily Mail in which he asked from his children to stop using his name.
Namely, Oliver shared an old photo of him, Kate and Bill for Father’s Day and captioned it: Happy Abandonment Day. He then posted another photo of him and Russel and wrote: “Happy Father’s Day, Pa.” Bill considered this “a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack.”
“I say to them now, ‘I set you free,'” Bill Hudson declared. “I had five birth children but I now consider myself a father of three. I no longer recognise Oliver and Kate as my own. I would ask them to stop using the Hudson name. They are no longer a part of my life. Oliver’s Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack. He is dead to me now. As is Kate. I am mourning their loss even though they are still walking this earth.”

Kate said how she forgives her father, although his absence has had a huge impact in her life.
“I have a great family, I have a beautiful mother, I have a stepfather who stepped in and played a huge, huge part in sharing what it is to have a dependable father figure in our life, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that we didn’t know our dad. People sometimes need to hear that they’re not alone in that,” Kate said in a January, 2021 episode of their podcast, Sibling Revelry, according to People.
Bill blamed Hawn about his relationship with his kids saying she did her best to keep him out of their life as she wanted to present her relationship with Russell as an ideal one. He further “accused” Hawn of Hollywoodisation of the story of him abandoning his kids.

Life is unpredictable. No matter what we plan, sometimes God takes things into His own hands and writes our destiny. These are things we cannot escape from.
Meghan was just 10 years old when she lost both her parents. Life felt hard and she was way too young to understand the severity of the loss, but luckily, her uncle Tim was there for her.
Not having children on his own, he made it his goal to raise Meghan right and be there for her whenever she needed him.
One day, as the two had a conversation about Meghan’s future, Tim said that when the day of her wedding comes, he would be the one purchasing the wedding gown for her. Her tiny face beamed with excitement. She was lucky to have such an amazing uncle.

Fast forward twenty years later, Meghan has become a mother of three beautiful children. She and her boyfriend Tyler, although very much in love, still haven’t got married due to certain circumstances.
One day, however, Tyler proposed and Meghan was over the moon. Their union was finally going to be officialized.
Meghan has always dreamed of having a big wedding, and her heart swelled with joy over the thought of being a bride.
She and Tyler were quick to share the news with her uncle Tim. As expected, Tim was as excited as the husband and wife-to-be.
As they discussed their plans with Tim, Meghan suddenly mentioned the promise Tim made when she was still very young. “Uncle Tim, you are buying my dress, right? I’m sure you remember you promised,” Meghan said. “Of course I remember,” Tim said with excitement. “I would be happy to, Meghan, just to see you happy. So, what do you two have in mind? A small gathering I guess,” Tim asked.
“Well, not exactly,” Meghan said in a shy manner. “Uncle Tim, we were hoping to have a big and glamorous wedding.”

Meghan then told Tim that she had in fact found the perfect venue, and she has also found her perfect dress. She saw it in a magazine and knew it was the one for her. The thing was, however, that the gown cost $7,500.
Tim was shocked at the price of the dress. “Meghan, I don’t know how to say this, but that dress costs way too much,” he said. “I was thinking of a dress in the range of around $1,500.”
Meghan’s face turned red. It was obvious that her uncle’s response left her devastated. “But you promised,” she kept repeating.
Tyler also tried to push Tim into spending more money on his niece’s wedding dress, but Tim refused because he believed spending that much on a dress was ridiculous.
The room felt silent. Before Meghan and Tyler left the place, Tim told them to think about his offer as he was still willing to give her $1,500 for her dress. Meghan didn’t say anything, she just waved goodbye and left.

A few days later, Meghan stopped by her uncle’s place. He was in the garage and saw her talking to someone on the phone before entering the house. However, she didn’t notice Tim who overheard her conversation.
“Tyler, I know it’s not as much as we expected, but uncle Tim is still going to give me money for the dress,” Meghan could be heard saying. “Yes, I will use that money for your car’s repairs, I told you I will help you with that.”
Tim was shocked. Meghan wasn’t even planning on buying a wedding dress with his money. Did he hear that right?
“He doesn’t know I already spent my parents’ trust fund on your car,” Megan continued. “It’ll be easy, trust me.”
Meghan’s words felt like a punch to the gut. The trust fund her parents left behind was to help her with her college, which Tim paid for until she fell pregnant with her first child and decided to drop out of it. She could use that money for her future, not on her boyfriend’s car. What was she thinking?
She was even trying to scam the only person who was there for her when her parents passed away.

At that moment, Tim got out of the garage and looked straight at Meghan, his heart filled with mixed emotions. “Meghan, I overheard your conversation,” he said with anger in his voice. “How could you spend your parents’ trust fund just like that? And you don’t even plan on buying the expensive gown you want me to give you money for?”
“Uncle Tim, it’s not what you think—” Meghan tried to explain. But Tim wasn’t willing to listen to her excuses. “I’m not paying for the dress,” Tim said firmly. “And I’m not giving you a dime for the wedding.”
Meghan grabbed her purse and left the place. She couldn’t even look her uncle in the face. She somehow knew she made a mistake but days passed by and she didn’t reach out to him to ask for forgiveness.

Months passed by and neither Meghan nor Tyler reached out to Tim.
What’s most, he learned they tied the knot at the courthouse with a handful of people in attendance. Tim wasn’t one of them because he wasn’t invited.
Not attending Meghan’s wedding hurt more than Tim wanted to admit. His relationship with his niece was now broken, and it was probably for good.
He was still willing to accept her apology, but she didn’t offer him one.
No matter how hard it was, Tim knew this was a lesson to be more cautious with his trust in people and with his generosity, even when it came to family members.

Naomi Pomeroy, widely recognized for her culinary skills on Top Chef, has tragically passed away.
The Portland chef’s body was found in a river on July 17, after being reported missing a few days prior. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that she drowned.
The investigation showed that Pomeroy, her husband Kyle Linden Webster, and a friend became entangled while on tubes and a paddleboard that were connected.
Members of the Corvallis Fire Department retrieved the other two adults on the shore and transported them safely to a boat launch. Sadly, they were initially unable to recover Pomeroy, according to the sheriff’s office.

At the time of her disappearance, Sheriff Van Arsdall said, “This office is dedicated to locating Naomi and bringing her home to her family and loved ones. I want to thank all involved in the search and recovery mission during this difficult time.”
Her body was located after it was spotted by a group of canoers. According to officials, she was unable to free herself because of the paddle board leash.

Pomeroy was a prominent figure in the Oregon culinary scene. She made a name for herself in Portland after opening her first restaurant, Beast, in 2007. Two years later, she was recognized as one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs.
In 2013, she and her husband launched a Portland cocktail bar named Expatriate. The following year, she received a James Beard Award for Best Chef: Northwest and Pacific.
Pomeroy appeared on Iron Chef as well as Top Chef Masters, while she also served as guest judge on Top Chef in seasons 10, 15, and 18.

Prince Harry’s actions following his departure from his family have affected his relationship with the Firm. In an attempt to protect his wife from the pressure and the scrutiny from the British media and prevent the history from repeating itself, referring to his late mother, he and Meghan settled in California, but they didn’t stay silent or out of the limelight.
On the contrary, both Harry and Meghan were eager to share details about the members of the British royalty and gave a number of interviews in which they revealed plenty of things that were taking place behind closed doors.
Among the rest, Harry opened up about his step-mother, Queen Camilla. In his all-tell memoir, Spare, Harry wrote that his first meeting with Camilla was “awkward and tense,” adding that his brother William had “long harbored suspicions about the Other Woman.”
“I think the relationship between them all is warm now but if I’m honest, it wasn’t then. I think they found it hard,” a palace source told royal biographer Penny Junor, author of Prince William: Born to be King. “To be fair to Camilla, she never tried to be mummy but she was the ‘other woman’ and she was there and taking daddy’s time.”

The relationship between William and Camilla improved significantly over the years and they are said to be close, which can’t be said for Harry’s relationship with his father’s wife.
In her book The Palace Papers, royal author Tina Brown wrote that Harry “unnerved” Camilla.
“When the younger boy was eventually prevailed upon to be in the presence of Mrs Parker Bowles, he unnerved her with long silences and smouldering, resentful stares,” she quoted a courtier saying.
“William has accepted Camilla in terms of what she means to his father. He’s been grown-up about it.

“Harry, on the other hand, can’t stand Camilla, he doesn’t want Camilla to be Queen, he’s very angry that it’s happening. He has not made his peace with it, and he probably never will.”

When Harry was informed of his father’s cancer diagnosis, he went to Britain and the two met briefly. Camilla, however, was said to be unhappy with her step-son meeting her husband without the Palace’s approval.
“Her Majesty was furious Harry flew in from his ritzy California home without getting palace approval — and came with an attitude,” a source is said to have told the National Enquirer, via RadarOnline.
The same report stated that Harry asked from Camilla to leave the room because he wanted to talk to his father in private.
“I’m told Camilla was outraged,” the source went on. “She’s taken a lot of bile from Harry for years and couldn’t wait to let him have it.”

Harry’s writings about Camilla enraged Charles and further affected the relationship between them.
“I think people have to realize that the one thing that Charles finds unforgivable is criticism of Camilla,” royal expert Christopher Andersen told Fox.
“There’s no criticism of Camilla,” Andersen added. “And unfortunately for Harry… Harry said some pretty devastating things about her. He made it clear that he felt she was… the villain in the piece. I think that still bothers the king, and I don’t know that it will be easy for him to [forgive]. I don’t think they’ll ever forgive Harry for that.”

Following Charles’ cancer diagnosis, Camilla stepped in and took a lot of responsibilities regarding royal engagements. She certainly doesn’t want Charles to be distracted, and one of those distractions is Prince Harry.
“Camilla dislikes Harry and doesn’t want Charles to get stressed while he’s undergoing treatment, so she tries to limit interaction,” a source told OK Magazine.
One thing is certain, the feud between the Sussexes and the rest of the royals is still ongoing. We are yet to witness if things between them would improve in the time to come.

Over the few couple of years, the business mogul went through so much. He suffered two accidents. First, he fell off the stairs and then he injured his back severely following an electric scooter accident.
Following the scare which left him injured and forced him to undergo back surgery, the musician and producer tried to warn others of the dangers of electric bikes. “The one I had was basically a motorcycle with an electric engine when you have to wear a proper crash helmet, leathers. This thing was nuts,” he said. “I didn’t know how powerful it was before I got on it. And I fly 6-8 feet in the air and landed on my spine.”

It’s been ten years since the world lost one of the best actors and comedians, Robin Williams.
This artist, who was larger than life, touched millions of hearts. His smile was contagious and he possessed the ability to make everyone laugh. So, when he ended his life, his fans had a hard time understanding how someone so cheerful and fun could die in such a horrific manner.
But there was more to the story than met the eye.
The autopsy revealed that Williams had Lewy Body Dementia (LBD), a neurological disease in which protein deposits, called Lewy bodies, develop in nerve cells in the brain regions involved in thinking, memory and movement (motor control), and not Prskinson’s disease as doctors claimed during his life.
During the last years of his life, Williams’ health started to fail. The man who could memorize thousands of lines without making a single mistake started having troubles remembering on set. Unfortunately, that frustrated him a great deal and led to anxiety. “It was a period for him of intense searching and frustration,” his son Zak said speaking to Max Lugavere for the podcast The Genius Life, as reported by Fox News. “It’s just devastating.”

William’s wife, Susan Schneider Williams, also opened up about the actor’s misdiagnosis. “All 4 of the doctors I met with afterwards and who had reviewed his records indicated his was one of the worst pathologies they had seen. He had about 40% loss of dopamine neurons and almost no neurons were free of Lewy bodies throughout the entire brain and brainstem,” she wrote for Neurology.
Susan described Williams’ health condition prior to his passing and said it deteriorated and no one knew what to expect next as it all started with the actor experiencing stomach cramps, heartburn, and digestive problems, and later developed a resting tremor in his left hand, which was thought to be brought on by a prior shoulder injury.
According to new reports, the actor’s final days were agonizing and tumultuous, while Susan described it as though her husband was “living a nightmare…”

William’s passing saddened his close friends. One of them, Sir Billy Connolly, spoke of William and his decision to take his own life and said, “You have to give a guy the position that he’s wise enough to make up his own mind.” Asked if he wouldn’t have tried to save his life, Connolly said, “I don’t think so.”
Connolly, who has been suffering from Parkisnon’s disease, the same disease Williams was misdiagnose with, said he and the late actor used to speak on the phone, expressing their close friendship and appreciation for one another.

During the week of his passing, William called Connolly and invited him over to dinner.
“He phoned me and said, ‘Let’s have dinner,’ and during the dinner, he said, ‘I love you.’ I said thanks very much. He said, ‘Do you believe me?’ I said ‘Of course I do.’ He said, ‘Believe me, I love you.’ I said, ‘That’s great.’”
“I thought ‘how weird, how weird for him to say that, it’s not like his usual.’ He was dead on the weekend,” Connolly continued.

We are sure how most of us have fond memories of going to the zoo when we were young. The anticipation of actually seeing wild beasts that we had only learned about from the books was an incredible experience. The orangutans waving back and imitating our moves, or the big and gorgeous elephants waiting for the visitors to feed them a peanut or two sounded like a fairy tale.
But once we got older, we realized that this fun time for us humans is pain and misery for all those creatures taken from their natural habitat and placed behind bars for the sake of making money.
Some argue how by keeping them in the zoos, we help animals’ preservation. We say that if we really want for them to be alive in the years to come, we have to find ways of protecting them while still in the wild.
Fifi, a lovely bear, was caged for 30 years. She was brought to the Pennsylvania Zoo when she was still a cub and was forced to spend years of her life entertaining the crowds.
Just like in the circus, Fifi performed tricks for the visitors and lived under horrific conditions.
Courtney Ann Sanford, a 34-year-old woman who was considered to be an experienced driver, tragically lost her life in a car accident. While driving, she was listening to the song Happy by Pharrell Williams and decided to make a post about it on the social media.

Sadly, that brief moment of choice proved deadly.
Only a minute later, Courtney’s car collided with a truck at around 60 km/h, propelling her vehicle into a ditch and then into a tree. The devastating impact set her car ablaze, and tragically, she was trapped inside and did not survive.
When her family was alerted, they also learned of her last Facebook post, uncannily timed with the incident. According to the law enforcement, “The post was made at 8:33 AM. At 8:34 AM, we received the emergency call.”
This young woman’s tragic passing is a stern reminder to never text while driving because no text is worth a life.

Actor James Earl Jones, famous for lending his powerful voice to characters like Darth Vader in Star Wars and Mufasa in The Lion King, passed away at 93.
Representatives confirmed with Deadline that the actor died peacefully at his home in Dutchess County, New York.
Jones was born January 17, 1931 in Arkabutla, Mississippi and raised by his grandparents in Dublin, Michigan. At a young age, he struggled with stuttering but grew to become one of the most famous and most distinctive voices in the history of film.
“I was a stutterer. I couldn’t talk,” Jones recalled in a 1996 interview. “So my first year of school was my first mute year, and then those mute years continued until I got to high school.”
He worked hard to overcome the condition and was encouraged by one of his teachers to read poetry out loud in order to improve his speech.

Over time, his deep resonant voice became his signature and helped him land some of cinema’s most iconic and unforgettable roles.
Jones’ acting career, which spanned decades, started at Broadway in 1957, when he had his debut. He quickly conquered the stage and made a name for himself, thus won a Tony Award for his role in The Great White Hope in 1969. This same role, which he reprised in the 1970 film adaptation led to a Golden Globe Award and his first Academy Award nomination.
Jones went on to earn a second Tony Award for Fences and a Special Tony Award for lifetime achievement.

His place in the film industry was cemented when he started voicing the storied antagonist Darth Vader in the Star Wars franchise, starting with 1977’s Star Wars. He continued to voice Vader for decades, in the two sequels The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, the prequel Revenge of the Sith and the spin-off Rogue One. When he retired from the role in 2022, Jones signed an agreement which said his voice could be used in future projects using artificial intelligence and archive recordings.
His portrayal of Mufasa in Disney’s The Lion King further established him as a defining voice in cinematic history.
Throughout his long and successful career, Jones landed a number of roles, including ones in Conan the Barbarian, Coming to America, Field of Dreams, and The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games and The Sandlot, among the rest.
In 2011, Jones received an Honorary Academy Award, placing him on the list of just few actors who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award.

Broadway’s Cort Theatre was renamed the James Earl Jones Theatre in his honor in 2022, which further testifies of his prominence as a stage actor.

In the new documentary Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Patti Scialfa, Bruce Springsteen’s wife and a key member of the E Street Band opened up about her personal struggle with multiple myeloma, a rare form of cancer she was diagnosed with in 2018.
The documentary premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. In it, the musician revealed that her condition has affected her ability to tour and perform.

Scialfa joined the E Street Band in 1984 but she’s also a solo artist with multiple albums released. Over the course of her rich music career, Scialfa has worked with various famous names such as Don Cherry, Narda Michael Walden, David Johansen, and Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. Among the rest, she’s a songwriter and a producer of movies and documentaries.
Scialfa and Springsteen tied the knot in 1991 and welcomed three children together: sons Evan and Samuel, and daughter Jessica.
Speaking of the challenges she has faced following her diagnosis, she said, “It felt so good to be back on stage” and reflected on her limited performances. “Touring has become a challenge for me. This affects my immune system, so I have to be careful what I choose to do and where I choose to go.” Her condition requires her to be cautious, often limiting her to occasional appearances.
Despite her current health condition, Scialfa does her best to stay positive. “Every once in a while, I come to a show or two and I can sing a few songs on stage, and that’s been a treat,” she added.

Scialfa didn’t attend the premiere of the documentary, which will be available to stream on Hulu and Disney+ on October 25, but she revealed in it that it lets fans see “a side of our relationship that you usually don’t get to see.”
“Being back onstage with Bruce is a blast,” she said. “Every night at this tour gives the band a chance to celebrate.”
