Teenager vaping the equivalent of 50 cigarettes a day receives shocking diagnosis after coughing up ‘pints’ of blood

Wanting to fit in with his group of friends, Jayden Richardson, now 17, started vaping at the age of just 12. His vaping was excessive, as he’s been consuming the equivalent of 50 cigarettes a day.

His habit took its toll after he started coughing up ‘pints’ of blood on the last day of his holiday in Turkey, where he was together with his family.

Once they returned home, Jayden was immediately rushed to the hospital.

Considering the symptoms, doctors assumed he was suffering from a stomach ulcer, his mother, Elita, said.

She believed the her son developed the condition due to his eating habits, particularly the greasy food and the kebabs he had every day while on holiday. But she couldn’t be more wrong.

Kennedy News and Media

After undergoing endoscopy, doctors determined the blood he was coughing was a result of severe lung damage due to his habit of vaping.

Doctors advised him to never use e-cigarettes again, and Jayden was more than determined to break the bad habit. But the promise he had given to himself was only kept until his birthday in January when he reached to the vape yet again.

Sadly, this was a very “stupid” thing to do as the symptoms returned.

Kennedy News and Media

At the time being, Jayden is awaiting a CT scan. He hopes that the ban of disposable vapes in June 2025 would add to his efforts to never vape again.

Jayden shared his story, saying, “I was terrified. I never thought vaping could cause all this.

“It started off in Turkey. The night before I had a bit of chest pain but didn’t really think much of it whatsoever. I woke up the next morning, had a quick go on my vape and just as if I had a bit of a chesty cough.

Jayden added: “I went to cough a few times and it felt a bit phlegmy so I went to spit it out. I saw that it was blood and this put me in shock. I didn’t know what to do myself.”

He alerted his mom, who was having breakfast at the time, but once she got to him, it wasn’t really bad.

Kennedy News and Media

Later, he went to the pool and had a drink. All of a sudden, he started coughing blood again.

“If I could go back to that moment when I first started [vaping] I’d tell myself ‘never to touch one of them’,” the teen explained. “It’s crazy how dangerous they are and what they can actually do to the human body. You don’t realise it when you do it. It just affects you in the long run. I would never touch one.”

5-year-old boy dies during treatment after hyperbaric chamber explodes

A five-year-old Michigan boy died in a bizarre, tragic incident during receiving treatment when the hyperbaric chamber exploded.

The tragedy happened at The Oxford Center in Troy, Michigan, on January 31, somewhere before 8 a.m. local time.

The law firm representing the family has identified the victim as Thomas Cooper.

When officers and firefighters arrived at the center, they found young Thomas inside the chamber dead.

Lt. Keith Young of the Detroit Fire Department said the hyperbaric chamber contained 100% oxygen, making it extremely flammable.

“Upon arrival, the first responding units unfortunately discovered a 5-year-old boy deceased on the scene,” Lt. Ben Hancock of the Troy Police Department said at a press conference.

GoFundMe

At the time of the explosion, Thomas’ mother was standing near the hyperbaric chamber. She sustained injuries to her arm.

At the time being, an investigation regarding the reasons that led the hyperbaric chamber to explode is ongoing.

James Harrington, managing partner of Fieger Law, the law firm representing the family, released a statement regarding the tragedy, calling it unimaginable.

“We ask that the public and media respect the family’s privacy at this time. We are investigating every aspect of this matter and will report our findings in due time. The safety of children should always be the top priority, and this incident raises serious concerns about hyperbaric chambers and the oversight and regulation of hyperbaric treatments,” the statement read.

A GoFundMe page started to help Thomas’ family said “His family loved him very much.”

GoFundMe

Annie Cooper, who organized the fundraiser said, “He was a smart, intelligent boy and his parents loved him how he was. He was perfect in every way. He was the best, best boy there ever was.

Further, Annie said, “He asked to see pictures of germs, liked to know how things worked, he liked to make field journals and he had finally started adding facial features to his people drawings.”

According to his family, “Thomas loved life.”

At the moment, it is still not known what caused the explosion or what kind of treatment the boy was getting.

The website of The Oxford Center, however, states it provides therapy for children with autism, cancer, ADHD, autoimmune diseases, and multiple others.

Our thoughts and prayers go to the grieving family.

Flight data shows the American Airlines pilots made a desperate attempt to prevent the crash and save all on board

The pilots flying the American Airlines Flight 5342 that collided mid-air with a US Army Black Hawk helicopter on January 29, made a heroic attempt to save everyone on board, new data shows.

The jet carried 64 passengers, and the helicopter was carrying three soldiers who retraining the president’s emergency evacuation route, which is a part of a contingency plan for the continuity of government.

At the time of the accident, the plane was approaching Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in an attempt to land.

Unfortunately, there are no survivors.

Rescue teams have not recovered all of the bodies up to this point.

Co-pilot Sam Lilley/ Facebook

Data from the plane’s black box revealed that the pilots, 34-year-old Campos, and his 28-year-old co-pilot Lilley, made a desperate final attempt to pull the plane up seconds before the crash.

“At one point very close to the impact, there was a slight change in pitch, an increase in pitch,” Todd Inman, an official of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), said during a press conference on February 1.

Further, Inman said that they don’t have the data from the helicopter, but “obviously an impact occurred, and I would say when an impact occurs, that is typically where the altitude of both aircraft were at the moment.”

Pilot Jonathan Campos/ Facebook

Preliminary data from the plane’s black box showed conflicting readings about the altitudes of both aircraft.

When hit over the Potomac River, the American Airlines plane was flying at an altitude of 325 feet, with a 25ft margin of error on either side.

On the other hand, data provided by the control tower showed that the Black Hawk was flying at an altitude of about 200ft, which is he maximum of what a helicopter can safely operate at in the area.

Hopefully, they would be able to reconcile the differences in the altitude once they get to the data of the helicopter’s black box which was retrieved but waterlogged.

I Never Expected Such a Harsh Outcome

I was completely floored when I first read about this Man who burned his thumb loses both legs story. Seriously—how does a minor cooking mishap spiral into something so devastating? Max Armstrong, 40, was just out in the woods of Kiowa, Colorado, enjoying a camping trip. Next thing he knew, a week later, he woke up from a coma with no legs.

A Simple Burn Becomes a Major Crisis

Max said it all started when he grabbed a hot skillet the wrong way while making pasta. He felt the searing pain but shrugged it off—just another scrape or burn from an active, outdoor life. He treated the burn, then went back to camping. A few days later, though, one leg began swelling. He brushed that off too, thinking maybe he’d twisted an ankle at some point. Turns out, the infection creeping through his thumb was way more serious than he imagined.

Shocking Discoveries at the Hospital

By December 7, his toenails turned purple, and the swelling got much worse. At the hospital, doctors were stunned to see the blackened burn on his thumb—it had become severely infected with strep. Before anyone fully realized what was going on, it led to strep sepsis. Max ended up in a coma for six days. When he finally woke on December 13, doctors told his loved ones he might not make it. It was a near-fatal ordeal.

Man Who Burned His Thumb Loses Both Legs in Surgery

The moment Max realized both of his feet had turned completely black was heartbreaking. He learned they had to amputate both legs on December 23 to save his life, because the infection had already spread too far. He spent a month in the hospital, then another 16 days in rehab. Now, he’s leaning on a wheelchair and focusing on exercises that build arm and shoulder strength—he calls them his “lifeline.” Unfortunately, this man who burned his thumb loses both legs in such a bizarre, tragic twist of fate.

On the Road to Recovery

Max says the emotional toll is just as intense as the physical one. He woke up expecting his legs to be there, only to realize they were gone. Yet, he’s determined to bounce back. Friends and family have rallied behind him, even setting up a GoFundMe to help with medical costs. It’s a stark reminder that life can change in an instant—even when you think you’re dealing with a minor injury.

I’m Still Reeling From This New Hollywood Bombshell

I honestly did a double take when I saw the headline: Musk Shocks Hollywood by dropping alleged evidence tying Sean “Diddy” Combs to some of the biggest movers and shakers in entertainment. It’s not every day you see such bold claims—especially from a tech mogul more known for rockets than red carpets. But here we are, sifting through a whirlwind of leaked photos and whispered rumors that might just reveal how deep Diddy’s connections really go.

Surprising Snapshots and Silent Celebs

Source: Wikipedia

What really threw me were these so-called “leaked” pictures making the rounds online. Apparently, they show Diddy hanging out in private settings with A-list stars. Some folks say it’s nothing unusual—celebrities mingle, end of story. But the chatter around these snapshots suggests something more. Could there be hush-hush partnerships or behind-the-scenes alliances that no one wanted us to see? You can bet fans are dissecting every pixel. So far, many of the celebs rumored to appear haven’t said a peep, which only stirs the pot. No wonder Musk Shocks Hollywood in such a big way.

The Curiosity Behind Musk’s Move

Source: Wikipedia

Of course, there’s also the question of why Elon Musk decided to pull back the curtain on this scene. He’s known for stirring up drama—sometimes in business, sometimes in politics. Now he’s shining a spotlight on star-studded secrets? Maybe he’s just intrigued by the “hidden layers” of fame. Or he could be testing the boundaries of what fans and insiders will tolerate. Whatever the reason, one thing’s certain: Musk Shocks Hollywood at a time when many people thought they’d seen it all.

Tinseltown’s Next Chapter

Source: Wikipedia

Personally, I’m bracing myself for more fallout. If these leaks spark real tension among the elite, we could see some unexpected alliances crumble—or brand-new feuds ignite. Social media is on fire with theories and finger-pointing, and it’s only been a few days since the story first broke. Will Diddy break his silence? Will other stars be forced to come clean about their ties? All I know is that Musk Shocks Hollywood might become the headline for weeks to come, and I’m totally here for it.

The black box and flight recorder from the crashed DC helicopter and plane provide crucial altitude data that may help explain the incident

The crash between the American Airlines plane and the US Army Black Hawk helicopter is one of the deadliest US air collisions in recent years. Sadly, all of the people onboard the jet and the helicopter presumed dead.

The jet carried 64 people while the Black Hawk had three members of the military onboard at the time of the tragedy.

Daily Mail reports that the National Transportation Safety Board revealed that flight data recorder and black box from the DC aircraft crash contain altitude readings that could shed light on the cause of the accident.

The American Airlines Flight 5342 was cruising at about 325ft, with a 25ft margin of error on either side. Data from the control tower showed that the Black Hawk was flying at an altitude of about 200ft.

Petty Officer 1st Class Brandon Giles/U.S. Coast Guard/AP

Experts have yet to explain the approximate 100-foot difference in altitude readings. However, if the crash happened at the altitude the plane was reported to be at, the collision happened at an altitude above the maximum of what a helicopter can safely operate at in the area.

At the time being, investigators are trying to retrieve data from the helicopter’s black box, which became waterlogged after submerging into icy waters of the Potomac River.

Hopefully, they would be able to reconcile the differences in the altitude.

AP Photo/Jose Luis Magana

Speaking of the ongoing investigation, Brice Banning, NTSB investigator in charge, said, “This is a complex investigation. There are a lot of pieces here. Our team is working hard to gather this data.”

Further, he added the jet’s black boxes revealed the crew having a verbal reaction. As the plane started to increase its pitch, “sounds of impact were audible about one second later, followed by the end of the recording,” Banning added.

President Trump gave his insight into the collision. He said that the helicopter was flying “too high,” and “far above its 200 foot limit.” He added: “That’s not really too complicated to understand, is it???”

High school student wins science fair by demonstrating how a long-forgotten Native American recipe can kill cancer cells in-vitro

Destany “Sky” Pete, a high school student, won the 2017 Elko County Science Fair in Nevada after she re-discovered that a long-used traditional dish containing a specific plant known as chokecherry possesses cancer-killing properties.

After having a conversation with one of the elders of her tribe, Pete, a Native American and a member of the Shoshone and Paiute Tribes from the Duck Valley Indian Reservation in Idaho and Nevada, came to the conclusion that the tribe’s health issues were a result of the reduced consumption of traditional foods, specifically toishabui or chokecherry pudding.

Shutterstock

The bright student researched the medical properties of the chokecherry, a plant still planted and harvested by the members of her community.

Once she showed interest in researching the medical properties of the plant, Pete got in touch with Dr. Ken Cornell, a biochemistry professor at Boise State University specializing in cancer cell research, through one of her high school teachers.

They tested four types of chokecherry specimens on uterine sarcoma cancer cells and allowed a 24-hour incubation period. The specimens included: Traditional chokecherry pudding with crushed seeds, chokecherry pudding without seeds, chokecherry juice alone, and chokecherry extract.

Shutterstock

The results showed that only the traditionally prepared pudding with crushed seeds exhibited cancer-inhibiting properties.

“The traditional (Shoshone and Paiute) method of preparing chokecherry pudding includes the seed of the chokecherry, crushed up,” said Pete. “Nowadays, some people just kind of juice the berry and take out the seed completely. But maybe the seed has medicine that can help us to stay well.”

The study was conducted in-vitro, or in test tubes, meaning its implications are limited. However, it is considered a breakthrough in the fight against cancer.

Speaking of her accomplishment, Pete said she’s proud to be representing her Native American heritage, adding that science and culture often go hand by hand.

Chokeberries, also known as arena berries, are small red berries native to North America that have anti-inflammatory properties. These berries are rich in essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin K.

Trump signs controversial order addressing political prosecutions

Donald Trump, who was sworn in as the president of the United States of America for the second time, has signed a plethora of executive orders. , However, many of them caused a stir among the public.

Among the rest, he pardoned nearly dozen pro-life activists who were convicted for violating the federal Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act and “Conspiracy Against Rights.”

He did not reveal the names, but referred to them as to “peaceful protesters.”

“Twenty-three people were prosecuted who should not have been prosecuted. Many of them are elderly people. They should not have been prosecuted,” the president said. “This is a great honor to sign this.”

Issuing pardons to these pro-life activists was a promise Trump made during the presidential campaign.

As per the Thomas More Society, the pardons were signed on the day before the March for Life to be held in Washington, D.C.

In the letter in which they asked for the pardons, they referred to their clients as to victims of the “weaponization of the Justice Department by the Biden Administration.”

“While Biden’s prosecutors almost entirely ignored the firebombing and vandalism of hundreds of pro-life churches and pregnancy centers, they viciously pursued pro-life Americans,” the lawyers wrote.

Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images

In a statement, Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of SBA Pro-Life America said,”We thank President Trump for immediately delivering on his promise to free pro-life protesters who [were] targeted and imprisoned by [President Joe] Biden’s Department of Justice. Pro-life moms, grandmothers and even Eva Edl, a Communist prison camp survivor, were thrown in jail for peacefully protesting abortion.”

The statement continued: “As if that were not enough, aggressive sentences were handed down, like five years for Lauren Handy who sought to expose evidence of late-term and potentially illegal abortions in the nation’s capital.”

While those in support of Trump’s decision to issue the pardons praised his decision, critics saw it as a controversial use of presidential power.

Lip reader reveals what Kanye West told Bianca Censori before she removed her fur coat

Kanye West and wife Bianca Censori made waves at the Gremmys after she removed her fur coat and revealed almost everything. Her dress was see-through to the extent that her photos needed to be censored.

Before Censori exposed her nearly naked body, she and Kanye were spotted speaking.

Now, a lip reader revealed what they said to one another.

In a since deleted Instagram post about the dress that caused a stir among the public and on the social media. He wrote it was a “Custom Couture Grammy dress for the most beautiful ever.”

“My love, my best friend and my wife,” he wrote of Censori.

Kanye and Censori, who tied the knot in 2022, made a grand entrance. They arrived in two all-chrome Mercedes-Maybachs, each valued at $450,000.

Lip reader Nicola Hickling shared with The Mirror that Kanye asked from his wife to take off her coat and reveal all.

“You’re making a scene now,” he allegedly whispered to her. “Make a scene, I’ll say it’ll make so much sense.” Censori nodded her head in agreement. “Drop it behind you and then turn, I got you,” he further said as per Hickling.

Censori responded, “All right let’s go.”

According to reports, the couple were removed from the event over the dress.

Since the 30-year-old Australian model had publicly exposed herself in such a manner before, many accuse Kanye of forcing her into this behavior and call him abusive.

“This is abusive male behavior. Kanye West has a territorial arm around a woman he is displaying naked to humiliate. Don’t tell me she wants this,” some one wrote on X.

“She legit did not look like she felt comfortable at all and didn’t want to open her jacket!” another person added.

A third described her actions, “The shaking of her head, the pulling the coat tighter as she says no… I swear to God, is she safe?”

Back in 2023, onlookers spotted the couple in a compromising position in a boat in Venice, with the rapper exposing his buttocks and Censori positioning her head between his legs. Once the images emerged online, the boat company banned them for life.

Censori’s revealing dress may trigger legal consequences under California law.

According to Penal Code 314(1), indecent exposure occurs when someone “exposes his or her naked body or genitals in front of anyone who could be annoyed or offended by it” in a “willful and lewd” manner.

If charged and found guilty, Censori may face up to six months in county jail or a $1,000 fine in case she’s a first time offender.

Audio reveals final moments before Philadelphia plane crash

The Learjet 55 plane flying to Mexico that was carrying a mother, her daughter who was getting home from a life-saving medical treatment in the States, a doctor, a paramedic, and two crew members, crashed on January 31, just two days following the mid-air collision between the American Airlines jet and the US Army Black Hawk helicopter, one of the deadliest air collisions in recent years.

The plane was to head towards Missouri before flying to its final destination, Tijuana, but crashed over Philadelphia.

According to reports, before the crash, air traffic controllers were asking the pilot about the frequency they were on.

What followed was a chilling moan believed to have come from the cockpit.

“What’s going on down there?” one of the air controllers could be heard asking. A dispatcher responded, “We have a lost aircraft,” adding, “We’re not exactly sure what happened, we’re trying to figure it out. For now, the field is going to be closed.”

The disturbing audio triggered a number of comments on the social media.

“Someone can definitely be heard letting out a ‘moan’ in the released audio of the plane that crashed in Philadelphia. Very disturbing,” someone commented.

“I heard the moan,” another added. “The moan made my stomach turn and the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. What on earth happened on that plane?!” a third wrote.

Others described it as tragic and haunting.

@dailymail A chilling moan was heard in newly released recorded conversation between air traffic control and the doomed air ambulance that crashed over Pennsylvania on Friday night. The investigation into what caused the crash is still ongoing. Read the full story on DailyMail.com. #news #breakingnews #plane #crash #philly ♬ original sound – Daily Mail

Unfortunately, all six people onboard lost their lives.

Shai Gold, a spokesman for Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, which operated the flight, confirmed the tragic news. He said the young passenger bravely battled an illness.

“She did her course of care. She was going home, Gold said. Further, he added: “She fought quite a lot to survive, and unfortunately, this tragedy on the way home.”

Mel Bower, a spokesperson for Shriners Children’s Hospital Philadelphia confirmed the girl involved in the plane crash was a patient of theirs. They didn’t disclose any details regarding her medical condition or the treatment she sought in the States.

“It’s extremely hard and extremely difficult, those that were involved directly in her care were very aware that she was going to be traveling home and there had actually been a sendoff for her today,” the hospital said in a statement.

An eye witness said that at the moment of the crash created a “big ball of fire” that engulfed nearby homes and vehicles in flames.

All of my left socks began vanishing – when I discovered the reason, my heart skipped a beat

When my socks started disappearing, I thought it was just something that happens at times because they do get devoured by the dryer every now and then.

But I found it strange since only one sock from several pairs suddenly vanished.

I am a single dad to my son Dylan, and we don’t really have visitors that often, so I thought, could it be my son who “steals” my socks? But then again, why would he need just one from a pair.

Something wasn’t adding up, and no matter how crazy it sounds, I decided to install the old nanny cam in the laundry room and “catch” the culprit.

The following day, as I was having my morning coffee while going through the footage, I almost spilled it over the computer.

It showed Dylan sneaking into the laundry room and carefully picking a sock from the newest pair I had.

He stuck the sock inside his school beg, put his coat on, and walked through the door.

Curious about what he was doing with my socks, I decided to follow after him.

Soon enough, I found him going towards a street I never drove through. It led to a poor neighborhood with old and abandoned houses.

Then, he stood in front of one of the houses and knocked on the door, looking as though he had done that a million times before.

I made sure I stayed out of sight, but just as I heard Dylan telling the old man in a wheelchair who answered the door that he got some new fancy socks for him, I made a sound and both Dylan and the man turned towards me.

“Dad, I can explain,” Dylan said, worried that I would tell him off.

But that wasn’t my attention. I just wanted to know what was going on.

The old man approached closer and said, “You must be Dennis. Your son is making sure my leg stays warm during the cold days.”

It was then that I realized the man only had one leg.

He used to serve in the Navy and once his children moved to other countries, he was all by himself.

But Dylan, who met him by chance one day while walking to school, made him company every now and then.

“Dad, are you mad?” Dylan asked. I said I wasn’t. In fact, I was proud of my son’s heart of gold.

From that moment on, we visited the old man regularly, helping him with the errands and around the house.

The lost socks led to a beautiful friendship.

The unsettling conspiracy theory about the involvement of Black Hawk helicopter in a plane crash in DC turns out to be true

Two days after the horrific mi-air collision between American Airlines jet and a US Army Black Hawk helicopter, the US Army issued a statement on their website regarding the tragedy. They wrote that the United States Army UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter crashed “while performing a training mission near the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.”

Rumors were that the training mission of the Black Hawk helicopter was in fact a practice plan including the evacuation of the White House.

Eventually, defense sources verified the drill’s nature to CBS News.

The helicopter involved in the crash was retraining the president’s emergency evacuation route, which is a part of a contingency plan for the continuity of government.

Continuity of Government mission (COG), as explained by the government’s website, is the plan in place to keep the government up and running in case of a major catastrophe or attack on Washington, D.C. As part of the national continuity plan, every federal agency must have a strategy in place for mass evacuation and relocation from the national capital region.

One of the five main components of this mission is protecting important persons and infrastructure.

The U.S. Army has identified one of the military members involved in the crash as Staff Sgt. Ryan Austin O’Hara, 28, from Lilburn, Georgia.

Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Loyd Eaves/ US Army

The other pilot, whose body has not yet been recovered, therefore is duty status-whereabouts unknown (DUSTWUN), is identified as Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Loyd Eaves, 39, of Great Mills, Maryland.

Staff Sgt. Ryan Austin O’Hara/ US Army

Initially, the identity of the third pilot, who was known to be female, was withheld as per the family’s request.

However, the US Army later identified her as Captain Rebecca M Lobach from Durham, North Carolina.

During Biden’s administration, Captain Lobach served as a White House military social aide.

Captain Lobach’s family paid tribute to her through a statement released by the US Army.

“She was a bright star in all our lives. She was kind, generous, brilliant, funny, ambitious and strong. No one dreamed bigger or worked harder to achieve her goals,” they wrote, adding “Rebecca was a warrior and would not hesitate to defend her country in battle.”

Captain Lobach started her service in the army in July 2019 and had around 500 hours of flying time.

Donald Trump gives a harsh eight-word reply, admitting America will endure ‘some pain’ from escalating trade war

In an attempt to make America “very rich again,” Donald Trump, who was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States of America for a second term, imposed 25 percent import tariffs on Canada and Mexico, starting a “trade war.”

Also, he brought 10 percent on goods from China and energy imported from Canada.

Many agree that this decision is seen as a hostile towards the neighboring countries.

At the same time, it would affect the US citizens in terms of experiencing increased cost of groceries and gas.

On the social media Truth Social, Trump wrote, “WILL THERE BE SOME PAIN? YES, MAYBE (AND MAYBE NOT!). BUT WE WILL MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, AND IT WILL ALL BE WORTH THE PRICE THAT MUST BE PAID.”

Canada and Mexico took a stand regarding the hiked tariffs, saying they would respond in the same manner to US goods being imported.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau/ DAVE CHAN/AFP via Getty Images

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s threatened that the country is “ready with a response, a purposeful, forceful but reasonable, immediate response.”

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum also reacted to Trump’s decision, saying, “We have Plan A, Plan B, Plan C, depending on what the government of the United States decides.

“It is very important for the people of Mexico to know that we will always defend the dignity of our people, that we will always defend respect for our sovereignty, and engage in dialogue as equals, as we have always stated, without subordination.”

However, Trump didn’t waste time firing back.

“I love the people of Canada. I disagree with the leadership of Canada. And something’s gonna happen there,” Trump told Sky News.

Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images

“If they want to play the game, I don’t mind. We can play the game all they want.”

A solution Trump proposed was that Canada becomes a 51st state of America.

“We don’t need anything [Canada has].

“We have unlimited Energy, should make our own Cars, and have more Lumber than we can ever use. Without this massive subsidy, Canada ceases to exist as a viable Country. Harsh but true!

“Therefore, Canada should become our Cherished 51st State. Much lower taxes, and far better military protection for the people of Canada — AND NO TARIFFS!”

With the increased tariffs, Donald trump would further escalate the trade war.

This will increase the prices of the cars by anywhere from $1,000 to $9,000 or more, as per the UK Finance. Further, more than 165,000 autoworkers could lose their job, a price the presidents seems to be willing to pay.

As per the BBC, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that the duties on Canada and Mexico were a response to “the illegal fentanyl that they have sourced and allowed to distribute into our country, which has killed tens of millions of Americans,” adding that these are promises Trump had made in the past.

Babysitter from hell: ‘My best friend killed my son while babysitting’

Makallie Elizabeth Durham, a babysitter from hell, was sentenced to life in prison without eligibility for parole or any other form of release from incarceration for the killing of two-year-old Kristian Harris.

Durham, 25, of Iuka, pleaded guilty to capital murder and several counts of child abuse.

At the time Durham’s boyfriend call an ambulance, Durham had been babysitting Kristian and his 11-month-old sister, who was also all bruised, for several days.

Makallie Durham/ First Circuit District Attorney’s Office

As per the Alcorn County deputy sheriff’s office, little Kristian was unresponsive. He was rushed to the hospital where he died two days later.

The tragic incident took place in September of 2022, and Durham’s sentence came two years later.

The court hearing determined that the babysitter from hell hit the toddler in the head on three separate occasions, September 9, 12, and 13.

She was also hitting the baby in the same manner.

Kristian Harris/ Facebook

On the day emergency services were called to a property in the city of Corinth, where the kids were staying, it was determined that Kristian was severely bitten by the babysitter.

Following her son’s passing, Kristian’s mother spoke of Durham’s audacity to send her a message begging her to help her to avoid serving jail time at the time of the arrest.

Allegedly, the mom, Jay Hurd, wrote back saying Durham should be happy that the police got to her first.

“And I said, ‘Your a** should go [to jail]! Because why my babies got bruises all over them? You better hope they take you before I get there’.”

Kristian Harris and mom Jay Hurd/ Facebook

When Hurd was told her children were taken to the hospital, she knew something was terribly wrong.

“They were trying to keep me calm, calm enough to get to my kid, and then they would tell me the full details,” she told the Mail.

“So, when I got to my son [at the hospital], it was like 12:02 when I walked into that room. And I just started praying because I knew my baby was dead.”

It is still not clear how Durham was related to the family of the boy she killed. However, around the time of Kristian’s passing, his mom took to Facebook to write, “How could you be my friend, sis, bff?

“When you let my kids get hurt? I would’ve never thought you would let them get hurt, but you let them get HURT beyond measure.”

Our thoughts and prayers go to the grieving family. With Durham’s sentencing to life in prison, the justice is finally served.

American Airlines plane crash: Audio reveals what happened before, during, and after

Chilling moments before, during, and after the deadly mid-air collision between American Airlines jet and US Army Black Hawk helicopter captured in a newly released air traffic control audio.

The tragic accident that happened on Wednesday, January 29, and forced the aircrafts to plummet into the icy Potomac River, led to a mission of retrieving the bodies.

On January 31, two days after the tragic crash, the US Army issued a statement on their website. They wrote that the United States Army UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter crashed “while performing a training mission near the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.”

Mayor Muriel Bowser at a press conference on the rescue efforts/ Getty Images

The audio captured by the air traffic control revealed an air traffic controller asking the helicopter crew, “PAT 2-5 do you have the CRJ in sight?”

Moments later, the controller instructed, “PAT 2-5 pass behind the CRJ.”

The Black Hawk helicopter confirmed seeing the American Airlines jet. “PAT 2-5 has aircraft in sight, request visual separation.”

DC Fire and EMS Chief John Donnelly

Within 13 seconds, the tower’s audio recorded gasps, including a loud “oooh” as the crash happened. The controller then alerted another pilot of the disaster that unfolded.

“I don’t know if you caught earlier what happened, but there was a collision on the approach end of 3-3. We are going to be shutting down operations for the indefinite future if you want to go back to the gate. Highly suggest you guys coordinate with the company. Let me know what you want to do,” the controller stated.

As per the CNN, a pilot who witnessed the collision was recorded telling the air traffic control, “Yeah, we were on short final, and we saw flares from the opposite side of the Potomac.”

An approach controller added, “Apparently both aircraft involved are in the river, a search and rescue will be ongoing.”

Another air traffic controller then redirected all aircraft heading to Runway 33 at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport to go around.

“Crash, crash, crash, this is an alert three,” the audio shows a controller warnings.

“Both the helicopter and the plane crashed in the river,” a third air traffic controller said.

“It was probably out in the middle of the river. I just saw a fireball and then it was just gone. I haven’t seen anything since they hit the river. But it was a CRJ and a helicopter that hit.”

President Trump commented on the American Airlines crash and questioned if it was something that could be “prevented.”

“The airplane was on a perfect and routine line of approach to the airport,” he wrote on his social media site Truth Social. “The helicopter was going straight at the airplane for an extended period of time.

“It is a CLEAR NIGHT, the lights on the plane were blazing, why didn’t the helicopter go up or down, or turn. Why didn’t the control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of asking if they saw the plane. This is a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented. NOT GOOD!!!”

Father caught on TV killing man who molested his son

When Jody Plauché was a 10-year-old boy, his parents sent him to karate lessons. The coach, Jeff Doucet, was a good friend of Jody’s father, Gary Plauché.

The parents believed Jody would learn an essential life skill, however, they could never imagine that the time spent at karate lessons would turn into the worst period of the boy’s life and would change the course of his family’s life forever.

Jeff molested Jody and he eventually kidnapped him and took him away to Port Arthur, Texas, and then to Los Angeles, before police tracked him down a week later.

Jeffrey Doucet/ Orange County Sheriff

“It was over several months before he ever started to do anything, and he had already been testing the boundaries,” Jody recalled later as an adult. “He had begun the grooming process, not just on me but my family. Pedophiles are very good at what they do. One of the things they’ll do with the grooming is test the child’s boundaries.”

He then continued: “Jeff would go, ‘We need to stretch,’ so he’d be touching around my legs. That way, if he grabbed my private area, he could say, ‘It was an accident; we were just trying to stretch.’ Or, if we were driving a car, he’d put his hand in my lap and might go, ‘Oh, I didn’t mean to. I didn’t realize my hands were there.’ That’s that slow, gradual seduction.”

One person who couldn’t get over what happened to Jody was his father Gary. He couldn’t possibly imagine letting Jeff live after everything he had done to his son so he decided to take matters into his on hands.

On February 19, 1984, Gary put on a baseball cap and sunglasses and headed towards the Baton Rouge Metro Airport in Louisiana because he knew his son’s rapist would walk out the doors at that time. Gary was speaking on the phone with someone, probably a friend of his named Jimmy, and whispered on the phone: “Here he comes. You’re about to hear a shot.”

Gary took out his gun and shot Jeff in the ear, killing him at the spot. The entire incident was caught on camera by reporters who were covering the story at the time.

Deputy Mike Barnett, who recognized Gary Plauché said “Why, Gary? Gary, why?” seconds after television cameras recorded the shooting.

Gary Plauché/ @jplauche/Twitter

Years after the killing, Jody opened up about what his father had done and said: “After the shooting happened, I was very upset with what my father did. I did not want Jeff killed. I felt like he was going to go to jail, and that was enough for me,” as reported by The Advocate.

“My dad was absolutely too extreme. He used to tell people, ‘If anybody ever touches my kid, I’ll kill him.’ I knew he wasn’t kidding. That’s why I couldn’t tell anybody. And that’s exactly what he ended up doing,” Jody told ESPN.

Gary was sent to court and was sentenced to five years of probation. Except for the time while he was waiting for his trial, Gary didn’t spent time in prison.

In an interview with Yahoo, when asked if he had any regrets for killing his son’s rapist, Gary answered: “No regrets.”

Jody, who is now in his 40s, released a book titled Why Gary Why? in which he writes how parents could protect their children. He also works as a sexual assault counselor.

“It is what it is,” Jody said. “I’ve embraced who I am and what I’ve gone through. That’s why I wrote the book. Again, it’s not about me or what Daddy did. It’s about educating and helping other people.”

Gary Plauché passed away in 2014.

The heartbreaking last words of a pilot who allowed his kids fly before the crash

Most crashes happen because of human negligence. When we board a plane, we put the safety of our lives in the hands of the pilot and hope they would do their job just perfectly.

The truth is that over the years the world witnessed horrific plane crashes that could be easily avoided had it not been for the mistakes made by the pilots.

Aeroflot Flight 593, 1994

The tragic crash of this plane happened on March 23, 1994, during an Aeroflot flight travelling from Moscow to Kong Kong. The number of people killed was 75 – every person on board – when the plane crashed down in Siberia.

It was later determined that the cause of the crash was the decision made by the relief pilot, second in command to the co-pilot, Yaroslav Kudrinsky, to invite his children to play with the plane’s controls.

Yana, 12, and Eldar, 15, were at the cockpit and allowed to sit in the captain’s chair. They played with the controls while they were disabled since the plane was in autopilot mode. But when Eldar held the control column down for a full 30 seconds, it forced the system back into manual.

When the captain and the co-pilots realized what happened and tried to take over the control, it was already too late. The Airbus A310, unable to withstand the force, began to lose altitude rapidly.

Panicking, Yaroslav told his children to leave the cockpit. “Go to the back! Go to the back, Eldar!” he shouted. “You see the danger, don’t you?”

The black box recording showed the fear in Yaroslav’s voice as he could be heard saying, “Get out now! All is normal.” However, regaining control over the aircraft was impossible at that point.

The plane crashed into the Kuznetsk Alatau mountain range.

TransAsia Airways Flight 235, 2015

It was in February 2015 when TransAsia Airways Flight 235 tragically collided with a highway bridge in Taiwan before plunging into the Keelung River.

The accident happened shortly after the plane took off from Taipei’s Songshan Airport.

The cause of the tragic accident that claimed the lives of 48 people was that one of the engines lost power and the pilot accidentally switched off the only other working engine by pulling the wrong shuttle. Fifteen of the passengers on board survived.

“Wow, pulled back the wrong side throttle,” were the pilot’s final words.

Tuninter Flight 1153, 2009

After the plane flying for Bari, Italy, from Djerba, Tunisia ran out of fuel because of a mechanical error, the pilot and the co-pilot prayed instead of putting emergency procedures into place. As a result, the plane crashed into the Mediterranean Sea.

A couple of years later, the pilot and the co-pilot were found guilty over the death of sixteen passengers on their flight and were sentenced to 10 years in prison.

As per the Guardian, the pilot, Captain Shafik Al Gharbi, was heard calling for the help of “Allah and Muhammad his prophet.”

Evidence showed that the crew did try to regain control over the plane, but they ultimately panicked and let the crash to take place. 23 of the passengers survived after being pulled out of the water.

KLM and Pan Am collision

One of the deadliest accidents in the history of aviation occurred in March 1977. Two Boeing 747s – KLM Flight 1736 and Pan Am Flight 1736 – smashed into one another at Tenerife Airport.

This horrific accident resulted in the deaths of 583 people.

The reason that led to this tragedy was miscommunication between the KLM flight crew and Air Traffic Control.

While the Pan Am plane still being on the runway, the KLM plane attempted takeoff. Dense fog obscured visibility, preventing both aircraft from seeing each other.

Airblue Flight 202, Islamabad

On July 28, 2010, this domestic passenger flight crashed near Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad. It resulted in the deaths of all 146 passengers and six crew members.

It is believed that this tragedy could have been avoided had the co-pilot questioned the repeated errors of the pilot.

As per the Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority, the co-pilot had endured humiliation from his superior throughout the flight, leading to a loss of self-esteem.

The captain’s behavior towards the co-pilot was “harsh and snobbish.” He even disregarded the weather warnings from Air Traffic Control. Unfortunately, the co-pilot failed to challenge the captain as the situation unfolded. Struggling against severe monsoon weather, the captain succumbed to panic. Ultimately, he lost control of the aircraft, with the co-pilot failing to intervene. This resulted in the plane crashing into the Margalla Hills.

Air Florida Flight 90, 1982

The many errors, including the one of failing to switch on the de-icing system, led the Air Florida Flight 90, from Washington DC to Florida’s Fort Lauderdale, end with a crash into the Potomac River, killing 74 people.

Taking off in a snowstorm, the crew initially attempted to address ice buildup by employing a misguided technique of using reverse thrust, rather than returning to the gate for proper de-icing procedures. Further, they failed to abort the takeoff despite detecting a power issue.

Eastern Air Lines Flight 401, 1972

It was four days after Christmas in 1972 when an Eastern Airlines Tristar jet crashed into the Florida Everglades. The pilot and co-pilot were distracted by a burnt-out bulb towards the end of the flight from New York’s JFK to Miami. While they were busy investigating the broken landing gear indicator light, someone accidentally bumped a lever which deactivated the plane’s autopilot mode.

They realized they were losing altitude too late to do anything.

In the tragic crash, 101 people, including the captain, lost their lives. The number of survivors was 75.

The fact that these tragedies could be avoided saddens us even more.

Expert claims Prince Harry has himself to blame for ‘US exile’

It’s been five years since Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, made the decision to step down from their royal duties and leave Britain behind. The couple settled in sunny California where they live with their two children, Archie and Lili, who recently received the titles of prince and princess.

However, as time passes by, people close to the Duke claim he’s missing his old life, thus he’s planning on buying a home in the UK.

The issue is that he’s potential return to his homeland would mean him traveling there all by himself, since Meghan has said publicly that her children going to the UK would impose a security risk since the family is not provided security. This comes as a result of the fact that neither Harry nor Meghan are working royal members.

Last year, Prince Harry disputed the Home Office’s decision to cut his security protection while he was in the UK.

LONDON, ENGLAND – APRIL 04: Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex attend the “Our Planet” global premiere the at the Natural History Museum on April 04, 2019 in London, England. (Photo by John Phillips/Getty Images)

Following his departure from royal life, the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC) withdrew his automatic police protection. Additionally, they rejected his offer to pay for his own security because private individuals cannot hire British police.

“It was with great sadness for both of us that my wife and I felt forced to step back from this role and leave the country in 2020,” said Harry’s statement, read by his lawyer Shaheed Fatima KC stated, as reported by BBC.

“The UK is my home. The UK is central to the heritage of my children and a place I want them to feel at home as much as where they live at the moment in the US. That cannot happen if it’s not possible to keep them safe when they are on UK soil.”

As per the Daily Beast, Harry forces his father to use his influence to secure increased security for his family when visiting the UK. However, a source close to the ruling monarch said it would be “wholly inappropriate” for Charles to challenge a government decision.

The question of police protection deepened the rift between the Duke and his father.

Netflix

Sadly, the refusal of Harry and Meghan to travel to UK means their children not being able to get to know his father’s side of the family, including their grandfather, their uncle, and their cousins.

According to many, Prince Harry tends to portray himself a victim. However, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams believes the Duke has forced himself in “US exile” himself.

“Harry is in exile – he chose it,” he told Fox News. “It’s lonely, and he will undoubtedly miss his friends and family. There is no sign whatsoever of the rift in the Royal Family healing. King Charles and the Prince and Princess of Wales have, to put it mildly, other priorities.

“I think Meghan is undoubtedly the dominant person in their relationship,” he added. “I don’t doubt he wishes they had managed to arrange a half-in, half-out arrangement [with the Royal Family], especially as his military links meant so much to him.”

British broadcaster Helana Chard believes that after publishing his all-tell memoir, Spare, there’s no going back for Harry.

Karwai Tang/WireImage

“A self-assured, self-titled, angry Prince Harry thought it was completely OK to publicly verbally annihilate his family,” Chard said. “It is said he was naïve and didn’t realize it would upset his family. . . . He didn’t realize that his actions would cause such a fallout with his family and the public.”

According to Chard, Harry has shown “signs of paranoid upset” and gradually distanced himself from close friends he considered insufficiently woke or those he accused of leaking stories to the press.

“He is socially awkward when it comes to developing new and meaningful relationships,” she concluded. “He was heavily sheltered growing up and developed his best friendships in school. But those people are hundreds of miles away, in different time zones, and focused on their own young families.”

The relationship between Harry and the rest of the royals, especially his brother William, remains strained.

Why US Army won’t publicly identify Black Hawk pilot killed in American Airline plane collision

The mid-air collision between an American Airlines jet and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter is believed to have left 67 people dead. While the US Army disclosed the names of two of the military members who were onboard the helicopter, they won’t publicly identify the name of the third pilot.

On January 31, two days after the tragic crash, the US Army issued a statement on their website. They wrote that the United States Army UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter crashed “while performing a training mission near the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.”

Further, it explained that “the UH-60 helicopter from the 12th Aviation Battalion, Davison Army Airfield, Fort Belvoir, Va., collided in midair with an American Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 regional jet Flight 5342 at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.”

The U.S. Army has identified one of the military members involved in the crash as Staff Sgt. Ryan Austin O’Hara, 28, from Lilburn, Georgia

The other pilot, whose body has not yet been recovered, therefore is duty status-whereabouts unknown (DUSTWUN), is identified as Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Loyd Eaves, 39, of Great Mills, Maryland.

As of the third crew member of the US Army helicopter that plummeted into the Potomac River, the identity remains undisclosed at the request of the family.

“That pilot is also DUSTWUN,” the army said.

Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Loyd Eaves/ US Army

The tragic crash remains under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the US Army and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

“The NTSB will lead the investigation. We are working with local officials and will provide any additional information once it becomes available,” the US Army stated.

As per the New York Post, the third Black Hawk pilot, whose identity remains unknown, was female.

Citing Jonathan Koziol, chief of staff of the army’s aviation directorate, the Telegraph reported that the unidentified military member was an experienced pilot with over 500 hours of flight time.

Staff Sgt. Ryan Austin O’Hara/ US Army

The decision by the Army not to reveal the name of the third pilot flying the Black Hawk caused a stir among the public. Many question if there is more to the story than what they present to the people.

As per Newsweek, Kyle Becker, “Independent thinker,” wrote on X: “‘At the request of the family, the name of the third Soldier will not be released at this time.’ The U.S. Army is still declining to release the name of the female Blackhawk helicopter pilot at the family’s request. This is extremely odd. It is only going to fuel more suspicion that military policies may have played a role in the crash.

“The public seems to have a right to know in this case, since the story has become a national policy matter. Do you believe the Army should release the name of the pilot?”

Conservative country singer John Rich questioned on X about the reason the White House is withholding the name of the Blackhawk pilot.

The full royal family line of succession is unveiled as Princess Beatrice’s new baby brings significant changes

The birth of baby Athena, Princess Beatrice’s second daughter, led to a shift in the line of succession to the British throne.

The princess and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed their daughter on January 22.

Little Athena was born a few weeks prematurely, weighting 4lb 5oz.

Before the proud parents shared the first photo of their bundle of joy, the Palace shared the wonderful news.

“Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of the royal family have all been informed and are delighted with the news,” the Palace stated.

The Palace announced Princess Beatrice’s pregnancy back in October. She was expected to give birth in early spring. Luckily, both she and her mom are now home and feeling well.

Baby Athena will not receive a royal title from King Charles, as only the grandchildren of a male successor automatically inherit titles in the United Kingdom. Princess Beatrice received hers through her father, Prince Andrew. For the same reason, Harry’s children, Archie and Lili, became a prince and princess once their grandfather ascended the throne.

The new addition to the royal family will still hold a royal title, but that’s thanks to her father, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who is an Italian count. Baby Athena could claim the title of nobile donna.

Her birth made a shift in the line of succession.

Currently, Princess Beatrice is 9th in line to the throne, and her older daughter, Sienna Mapelli Mozzi comes in 10th. Baby Athena now comes in 11th, a place held by her aunt Princess Eugene until Athena’s birth.

With that, Princess Eugene’s children, August and Ernest, come in 13th and 14th respectively.

First in line of succession is Prince William, who received the title of Prince of Wales following the passing of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

JACOB KING/POOL/AFP via Getty Images

His eldest son, Prince George is second, and daughter Charlotte and son Louis are 3rd and 4th.

During her reign of 70 years, late Queen Elizabeth implemented a significant change to the line of succession. Before the Succession to the Crown Act 2013, the eldest sons took precedence in the order of succession.

However, under the new rules, a female royal’s position in line is no longer displaced by the birth of a younger brother.

Karwai Tang/WireImage

Despite stepping back from his royal duties and leaving Britain for the States, Prince Harry is on the fifth place in line of succession to the British throne. His children are next on the list.

New clues from American Airlines crash reveals grim details about the possible cause of the tragic incident

The number of people believed to have lost their lives in the deadliest US air crash in recent years is 67. Their families are looking for answers and plead to know what was the cause that led the American Airlines jet to collide mid-air with the US Army Black Hawk helicopter.

The American Airlines Flight 5342 was coming in to land at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington D.C, when the tragic crash took place. Both aircrafts plummeted into the Potomac River, whose icy water makes the search mission difficult.

Currently, the investigation regarding the circumstances leading to the crash is ongoing.

The moment of the crash captured on a video/ @X

However, a full investigation will likely take months to conduct. Investigators will need to make a thorough analysis of the plane’s black boxes and flight data, as well as to conduct interviews with the Air Traffic Control employees, thus they said they won’t be making any speculations at this point.

Nevertheless, The New York Times published a preliminary report from the FAA.

According to it, the number of controllers in charge of the air space around Reagan Washington is at least two. Sadly, on the night of the tragic crash, the supervisor in charge let one of the controllers leave, leaving just one traffic controller on the job.

As per the publication, the FAA suggests staffing at the time was “not normal for the time of day and volume of traffic.”

EPA

Several federal agencies had previously brought up the issue with the lack of traffic controllers. They claimed the expected shifts of 10 hours a day, six days a week, would leave those doing the important job severely fatigued.

American Eagle pilot Jonathan Campos’ heartbreaking final words to his family before boarding the plane involved in the DC accident

Pilot Jonathan Campos, one of the two pilots of the American Airlines jet that collided mid-air with a US Army helicopter on January 29 had a heartbreaking final conversation with his family before the tragedy struck.

Campos’ heartbroken uncle, John Lane, described the pilot as “such a good kid.”

“I spoke to him as he was boarding the plane. We spoke for 10 minutes. I can’t believe it. He sounded really happy,” Lane recalled.

“He was looking forward to going on a cruise next week on the Icon of the Seas, the cruise ship. Ten family members were going to fly to Florida to take the trip with him. It was going to be a big celebration.”

Pilot Jonathan Campos/ Facebook

“He loved flying, it was his dream. He was living his dream.” Lane added: He played with toy planes when he was a kid. He wanted to qualify to fly bigger planes. We’re just sick right now. His mother isn’t doing well.”

Campos graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida, in 2015 where he studied Aeronautical Science.

“I think he wanted to be free, and be able to fly and soar like a bird,” his aunt, Beverly Lane told The New York Times.

The Academy paid tribute to Campos. “We are heartbroken to learn that Jonathan Campos was a pilot aboard the PSA Airlines flight involved in the tragic accident last night in Washington, D.C. Jonathan earned his Certified Flight Instructor rating with us and served as a valued flight instructor here.”

“He was a skilled and dedicated pilot with an undeniable passion for flying. Our deepest condolences go out to Jonathan’s family, friends, and all those who lost their lives or were impacted by this devastating tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this incredibly difficult time.”

The father of the other pilot on the plane, Sam Lilley, that crashed and plummeted into the Potomac River, said he didn’t think his son could have been involved in the accident when he heard there was a crash.

Pilot Sam Lilley/ Fox 26

Lilley, 29, who was months away from getting a promotion to a captain, worked for the American Airlines for two years. He followed into his father’s footsteps who had served in the army for 20 years as a helicopter pilot.

As per reports, the number of bodies recovered at this point is 40. The icy waters of the river made the mission difficult.

The Shocking Radio Exchange That Reveals a Terrifying Moment

I’ll be honest: my stomach turned when I heard how horrifying audio captures air traffic controller’s reaction to American Airlines plane collision near Washington, D.C. I’ve read about plane crashes before, but actually listening to the tension and heartbreak in real time is something else entirely. This all went down on Wednesday (January 29) as a CRJ700, loaded with 64 people, collided mid-air with a military Black Hawk helicopter. No one survived—three soldiers and everyone on the passenger jet were lost in an instant.

Moments Before the Impact

The plane was lining up for a runway approach at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, and the helicopter pilot, call-sign PAT 2-5, got instructions to pass behind the incoming jet. He acknowledged, talking about “visual separation,” which basically means he’d keep his eyes on the CRJ700 to avoid trouble. But then everything changed in seconds. If you listen to the recordings, you can hear how horrifying audio captures air traffic controller’s reaction to American Airlines plane collision, with an audible gasp erupting in the tower. My heart dropped just imagining the view they had at that moment.

“Crash, Crash, Crash!”

Other pilots on the radio sounded stunned, too. One voice goes, “Did you see that?” while another frantically calls “Crash, crash, crash—this is an alert three.” Suddenly, the entire airport scrambled: flights got canceled, emergency crews rushed to the water. LiveATC.net has a snippet of the conversation, and I truly felt chills the first time I heard it. The difference between normal flight chatter and catastrophic screams couldn’t be more jarring. It’s a stark reminder of how quickly routine can turn into tragedy.

Aftermath in the Tower

With both aircraft falling into the icy Potomac River, there was no chance for rescue. Everyone on the frequency went from calm to horrified in a blink. One controller apparently told a pilot on the ground, “They’re shutting the airport for an indefinite amount of time.” Talk about devastating. In another snippet, someone describes seeing a fireball near the middle of the river. It’s hard to imagine what was going through their minds as they tried to piece together what happened.

Lingering Questions

Right now, investigators still aren’t sure what caused that final mishap. Maybe the helicopter pilot misjudged distances, or maybe there was a breakdown in communication. All we know is that horrifying audio captures air traffic controller’s reaction to American Airlines plane collision in a way that leaves you with goosebumps. I can’t get over how raw and immediate those voices are—people doing their jobs one second, then grappling with life and death the next.
